- 0:01Leviticus chapter 5. Let us pray.
- 0:05Our Father who's in heaven. We thank you, Lord, that you are
- 0:10the great I am. You are the most high God.
- 0:14Lord, help us to worship you in spirit and truth.
- 0:18Help us to understand that you're fighting our battles.
- 0:21Help us to know that you're near.
- 0:24But we pray for your will to be done and your Kingdom to come
- 0:28right here on this earth just as it is there.
- 0:31Thank you that you went to prepare a place for us.
- 0:34Thank you, God, that there are many mansions in your house.
- 0:38Thank you, Lord, that you overcame the world.
- 0:41Thank you for giving us our way to be accepted.
- 0:50Thank you for covering us, Lord. Lord, thank you for daily bread.
- 0:55We thank you for the infallible, inerrant word.
- 0:57We thank you, God, that we're able to come into reason.
- 1:02Lord, I pray you'll rebuke the Devourer from off of us, Lord.
- 1:06Lead us not into temptation, Lord, but deliver us, God.
- 1:10Let no unclean thing come out of our mouth.
- 1:14Lord, I pray that we are sold out.
- 1:16Lay down, lovers of you, Yeshua. Yours is the Kingdom and the
- 1:21power and the honor and the glory forever.
- 1:24It's in Jesus Christ, holy and precious name that I pray.
- 1:28Amen. Let's start in verse one.
- 1:32And if a soul sin and hear the voice of swearing and is a
- 1:37witness, whether he has seen or known of it.
- 1:41If he do not utter it, then he shall bear his iniquity.
- 1:44So here what God wants them to know once, what He wants us to
- 1:48know is that whenever they were Privy to someone who had made an
- 1:55oath, then they were to uncover it.
- 1:59They were not to try and hide it, but they were to make it
- 2:04public too. And if the soul touch any
- 2:08unclean thing, whether it be a carcass of an unclean beast or
- 2:11the carcass of an unclean cattle or the carcass of an unclean
- 2:15creeping thing, and if it be hidden from him, he shall be
- 2:19unclean and guilty. So you need to understand that
- 2:25there was a parasitic connotation attached to all this
- 2:30uncleanliness and it was for their future.
- 2:35It was for their ability to stay alive.
- 2:39It was for the health of the community.
- 2:48That is what God wants them to understand, is that all of the
- 2:53kosher requirements was to preserve them so that they would
- 2:58not die out. Three And if he touched the
- 3:01uncleanliness of man, whatsoever uncleanliness it be that a man
- 3:06shall be defiled with all, and it be hid from him when he knows
- 3:11of it, and he shall be guilty. So that is, what he wants them
- 3:15to understand is the moment that it all comes to the light, they
- 3:19need to deal with it immediately, so that it does not
- 3:22spread unto the camp. For or if a soul swears
- 3:28pronouncing with his lips to do evil or to do good, whatsoever
- 3:32it be that a man shall pronounce with an oath, it shall, and it
- 3:38and it be hid from him when he knows of it, then he shall be
- 3:42guilty in one of these. So if they promised to do a
- 3:45thing and they didn't do it, and then it dawned on them that they
- 3:49had not done it, then God told them what to do. 5 And it shall
- 3:54be when he shall be guilty in one of these things, that he
- 3:57shall confess that he has sinned in that thing.
- 4:01So that's the first step, friends, we need to confess our
- 4:06sin. We need to confess that it is
- 4:10sin, and sin is missing the mark.
- 4:14Sin is acting in a way that God did not tell us to.
- 4:21Sin is knowing to do a thing and not doing it.
- 4:25Sin is what keeps us away from God and separates us.
- 4:31We need to confess that we have sinned against heaven.
- 4:34We've sinned against God. Friends, we need to confess that
- 4:39we are sinners in desperate need of a Savior.
- 4:44You cannot be saved if you don't know that you're lost.
- 4:48Friends, you have to understand that you are a Sinner in
- 4:53desperate need of a Savior. 6 And he shall bring his trespass
- 5:01offering unto the Lord for his sin, which he has sinned, a
- 5:05female from the flock, a lamb or kid of the goats for a sin
- 5:10offering. And the priest shall make an
- 5:12atonement for him concerning his sin.
- 5:15So as he brings in this animal, it would be to to shed the
- 5:22blood, which would be for the forgiveness of sins. 7 And if he
- 5:29be not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring for his
- 5:34trespass, which he has committed, 2 turtle doves, or
- 5:37two young pigeons unto the Lord, one for a sin offering and the
- 5:41other for a burnt offering. So if they had a trespass
- 5:46against God, they willingly stepped out against God.
- 5:50They needed to confess that they had done so, and then they need
- 5:54to bring a sacrifice. And here he degrades it down to
- 5:592 turtle doves, two young pigeons.
- 6:03And he's going to continue to go even further into meeting them
- 6:08where they're at in their financial situation.
- 6:11If they didn't have a bull, if they didn't have a lamb, if they
- 6:15didn't have a goat, then they could bring two birds.
- 6:18But even if they didn't have two birds, he's going to meet them
- 6:23even further down the line. 8 And he shall bring them unto the
- 6:31priests, who shall offer that which is for the sin offering
- 6:34first, and wring off his head from his neck, but shall not
- 6:38divide it asunder. 9 And he shall sprinkle of the blood of
- 6:42the sin offering upon the side of the altar, and the rest of
- 6:45the blood shall be wrung out at the bottom of the altar.
- 6:49It is a sin offering. 10 And he shall offer the second for a
- 6:53burnt offering, according to the manner of the priest, shall make
- 6:58an atonement for him for a sin which he has sinned, and he
- 7:01shall be forgiven him. 11 But if he be not able to bring 2 dirt,
- 7:062 turtle doves, or two young pigeons, then he that sin shall
- 7:12bring for an offering a tenth part of an epoch of fine flour.
- 7:17For a sin offering he shall put no oil upon it, neither shall he
- 7:22put any frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.
- 7:26So this was to be plain Jane. It wasn't to be fancied up
- 7:30friends, they were just to bring this 2 quarts of fine flour unto
- 7:35the priests for a sin offering. Imagine that God loves us so
- 7:40much that even if we couldn't bring an animal, it was to be in
- 7:45proportion of our income, friends.
- 7:47And if you were so poor, he says, bring 2 quarts of fine
- 7:50flour and it would have been what they had to live off.
- 7:57It would have been their best that they could bring.
- 7:59And that's what is outlined here.
- 8:01God wants your best friends. 12 Then shall he bring it to the
- 8:07priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it, even a
- 8:10memorial of it, and burn it on the altar according to the
- 8:14offerings made by fire unto the Lord.
- 8:16It is a sin offering. So we know that there's no
- 8:20remission for sins without the shedding of blood.
- 8:22So this flower would have been under the blood of the animals
- 8:27that were being sacrificed. And we know that Jesus Christ is
- 8:33the bread of life, and we know that he takes away the sin of
- 8:37the world. Praise God. 13 And the priest
- 8:40shall make an atonement for him, as touching his sin, that he has
- 8:44sinned in one of these, and it shall be forgiven of him, and
- 8:47the remnant shall be the priests as a meat offering.
- 8:51Fourteen And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, 15 If the soul
- 8:55committed trespass and sent through ignorance in the holy
- 8:58things of the Lord, then he shall bring for his trespass
- 9:02unto the Lord of Ram without blemish out of the flocks, with
- 9:06your estimation by shekels of silver after the shekel of the
- 9:10sanctuary for a trespass offering.
- 9:13So it is to be valued upon saying that this is the absolute
- 9:19best that this person has, because that is what God
- 9:23desires, and that is what He wants, and that is what He
- 9:26deserves. 16 And he shall make amends for the harm that he has
- 9:30done in the holy thing, and shall add the 5th part thereto,
- 9:34and give it unto the priests, And the priests shall make an
- 9:37atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and it
- 9:42shall be forgiven him. So not only was he required to
- 9:45pay it back, but he was required to add 20 per cent unto what was
- 9:52stolen from God. 17 And if a sole sin, and commit any of
- 9:58these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments
- 10:02of the Lord, though if he knew it not, yet he is guilty, and he
- 10:06shall bear his iniquity. 18 And he shall bring a ram without
- 10:10blemish out of the flock, with your estimation for a trespass
- 10:14offering unto the priests, though he unto the priest, and
- 10:23the priest shall make an atonement for him concerning his
- 10:26ignorance, wherein he erred and whisked it not, and it shall be
- 10:31forgiven him. So you need to understand here
- 10:34that even if it was in ignorance, it did not excuse him
- 10:39the moment that it came to his mind that he had sinned against
- 10:43the Father, sinned against God, sinned against heaven.
- 10:46He was to make it right and he was to add 20% on to it and it
- 10:51would make him at one with God. And aren't you thankful that God
- 10:55made us at one with him through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 11:00But you also need to know in the Ezekiel temple, in the
- 11:04millennial temple, in the thousand year reign of Christ,
- 11:07they're going to bring back some of the sacrifices as a memorial
- 11:14unto what Jesus Christ did. And it is an amazing thing to
- 11:18think about that God, He has an all sufficient sacrifice, but
- 11:23all of these sacrifices pointed towards our Lord Jesus Christ
- 11:29and all the sacrifices in the millennial temple will point
- 11:33back to our Lord Jesus Christ. What an amazing thought.
- 11:37Friends, We'll end on 19. It is a trespass offering.
- 11:41He has certainly trespassed against the Lord.
- 11:44We all have trespassed against the Lord.
- 11:46We all need our Lord Jesus Christ to cover us with His
- 11:50blood. Every single person on planet
- 11:53earth who has ever been born, is living today, or will be born,
- 11:58is born into sin. Nature, they are born into sin.
- 12:04You do not have to teach a child how to misbehave.
- 12:08You have to teach them how to behave, friends.
- 12:12And that is the reality of the world that we live in today,
- 12:16friends, that every single person on planet earth
- 12:20desperately needs to come in to the fold.
- 12:23And there's only one way. And His name is Jesus.
- 12:26No one comes unto the Father except through Him.
- 12:30He is the way, the truth, and the life, Friends.
- 12:32He's not one of many ways. He is the only way.
- 12:35And until you get that right, friends, you'll be scratching at
- 12:39the surface trying to figure it all out.
- 12:41You'll be incomplete friends. You will not be satisfied that
- 12:46you'll have no contentment in your life.
- 12:49Friends, you'll be continuously, perpetually, in a state of
- 12:54frustration and spinning your wheels.
- 12:56It is only whenever we put the missing piece of the puzzle in
- 13:01to it all that we see the big picture, that the blinders fall
- 13:07off and our ears get unstopped and we actually get to see the
- 13:10world all around us the way that God does.
- 13:13And I pray that that's your story.
- 13:15I pray that you have the Holy Spirit and dwelling inside of
- 13:18you and you actually can see the ridiculousness of everything
- 13:23that's going on in the world and you can actually understand
- 13:28God's heart and his mind about all the things friends that he
- 13:32says are important. About families and about
- 13:35children, friends, and about devotion and worship and about
- 13:38getting to know Him and being at one with Him and being justified
- 13:42friends and having your sins completely blotted out and taken
- 13:46away. Friends and your name written in
- 13:49the Lamb's book of life and the fact that you're going to have
- 13:52eternity forever to spend with our Lord Jesus Christ.
- 13:56I pray that you look forward to that day.
- 13:58I pray that you speed the day of his coming.
- 14:01You see hit the your redemption drawing near.
- 14:04You see that the day of the Lord is at hand and you are prepared
- 14:08and you have your lamps full and your oil filled and you Wicks
- 14:12trimmed, friends, and you love and long for that day.
- 14:17I pray that's your story today. I hope you've been blessed by
- 14:20this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 14:22I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 14:25of you. I love you and we'll see you
- 14:26back here tomorrow. God bless she umm.
