- 0:01Exodus chapter 29, let us pray. Our Father who's in heaven, we
- 0:09thank you for another day to come and worship you in spirit
- 0:13and truth. We thank you God, for saving us
- 0:16to the utmost. We thank you that your mercies
- 0:19are new every day. We thank you, Lord God, for
- 0:23giving us the opportunity to come and to learn more about
- 0:26you. I pray, Father, today that as we
- 0:29open up your word, we'll open up our hearts.
- 0:32Let it saturate us, Lord. Let it go in deep.
- 0:36Father. I pray that it never leaves us,
- 0:38that we hide it in our hearts so that we might not sin against
- 0:42you. For you are worthy to be
- 0:44praised. You are holy and honorable in
- 0:47all of your ways. Father, we worship you, God, We
- 0:50give you all due reverence and we give you all due honor.
- 0:54It is you and you and you alone, King Jesus, that we press
- 0:58towards. I pray, Father, that you'll
- 1:00bring the prodigals home. I pray for the restoration of
- 1:03marriages. I pray God for righteous leaders
- 1:06to rise up in this hour, God. I pray for the church Lord to be
- 1:12strengthened so that the gates of hell will not prevail.
- 1:16God, I pray that we finish well all the way to the end.
- 1:19Help us, Father, to see your words today.
- 1:22Jump off the page, illuminate the text, show up and show off.
- 1:28God, I pray that we will be sold out.
- 1:32Lovers of you. God, I pray that we'll be
- 1:35saturated and steeped in Your Word that is alive and active
- 1:40and sharper than any 2 edged sword.
- 1:42God, we know that we are yours and that you are ours, God, and
- 1:47we just pray that You'll fuel us for the journey.
- 1:50Help us to know which way to go. Help us know what to say and
- 1:54when to say it, God, and when to be quiet.
- 1:58Thank you, Father, for all of the days that you've given us
- 2:01already, and thank you for the promise of eternity.
- 2:06Heal us, God, heal our bodies and heal our minds.
- 2:09Lord, heal this land. God, let us who are called by
- 2:14your name forsake all of the evil God and consecrate
- 2:18ourselves unto you, for we are yours and we love you.
- 2:25King Jesus, holy and precious and powerful name, I pray, Amen.
- 2:31Let's start in verse one. And this is the thing that you
- 2:36shall do unto them, to hallow them, to minister to me in the
- 2:40priest's office. Take one young bull and two Rams
- 2:44without blemish. So here we're going to be
- 2:46talking about the consecration of the priest.
- 2:49And consecration is just a word that means to go into the temple
- 2:54and to take anything and everything out that does not
- 2:57line up with scripture. And we are called to do the
- 3:01same. Friends, we cannot play both
- 3:04sides. It is high time for the
- 3:07Christian to actually look like a Christian and to get rid of
- 3:13the duplicity and the hypocrisy that has plagued the church.
- 3:19We need to actually walk the walk and talk the talk.
- 3:24We need to actually get into the game and not get sideline to
- 3:31actually be the ones who are his hands and feet.
- 3:35And that is what I pray for you today.
- 3:37I pray that you understand that you are the temple of the Lord
- 3:41to go into your mind, go in to your house, go in to your
- 3:46choices that you've been making, whether it is music or movies,
- 3:50whether it is culture, whatever is that has steeped into your
- 3:56life and crept into your life and is causing you to be double
- 4:02minded. Get rid of it today.
- 4:03Consecrate the temple actually and in reality and physically
- 4:11and spiritually and emotionally actually get rid of anything
- 4:16that is not of God and for God and to God.
- 4:20And you need to understand the earth is the Lord's and
- 4:22everything in it. But it is our hearts that are a
- 4:25perpetual idol factory and we don't get a pass, friends.
- 4:29We don't get to just do whatever we want to do and then include
- 4:33God whenever it's convenient. We need a generation of people
- 4:39who seek his face, O Jacob, with clean hands and a pure heart who
- 4:43is not bowed down to idols or sworn by a false God.
- 4:48It's high time to rise up as the capital C Church, the ecclesia,
- 4:53the called out ones for such an hour as this friends, Verse 2
- 4:59and unleavened bread and cakes unleavened, tempered with oil
- 5:03and wafers unleavened anointed with oil of wheat flour.
- 5:07You shall make them. So here we're getting to see
- 5:11that he wants the sacrifice and it was to point towards Jesus,
- 5:16of course, who is the all sufficient sacrifice.
- 5:20All of this, every bit of it that we're reading in the
- 5:23Pentateuch, friends, all of it is pointing towards Yeshua.
- 5:29It's all pointing towards our Messiah King Jesus, who came and
- 5:34who was led to the slaughter and was silent before the shears and
- 5:38willingly gave up his life for you and for me.
- 5:41And it's all pointing towards that.
- 5:43And when he's talking about this unleavened bread, we know that
- 5:46the yeast is synonymous with sin.
- 5:51Verse 3 And you shall put them into one basket and bring them
- 5:55in the basket with the bowl and the two Rams.
- 5:58So can you see it, these crackers and this meat and it's
- 6:04being brought in with the priest for an Aaron and his sons you
- 6:09shall bring to the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation
- 6:13and shall wash them with water. You have to understand that
- 6:16Moses is receiving all of this up on Mount Sinai.
- 6:21And of course, we have to ascend the hill of Mount Zion, friends,
- 6:26and it is far more than anything that Moses received here on
- 6:32Mount Zion. But you also need to understand
- 6:36that Moses has been enveloped in the glory of God during this
- 6:41time. And God has been giving him all
- 6:44these measurements and all of these statutes.
- 6:47And isn't it amazing to think for 40 days and for 40 nights
- 6:51Moses is being sustained by the presence of God?
- 6:58Five. And you shall take the garments
- 7:00and put upon Aaron the coat and the robe of the ephod, and the
- 7:03ephod and the breastplate, and gird him with the curious girdle
- 7:08of the ephod. So we know from previous
- 7:10chapters that this was a suit that Aaron was to put on and it
- 7:15had the 12 Stones that represented the 12 tribes and
- 7:21the Onyx stones that were on his shoulders because he he bared
- 7:26the brunt of the weight of the nation Israel.
- 7:30We know that he has the Urim and the Thummim in his pocket that
- 7:33was supposed to be for him to decipher what God was saying.
- 7:40We know that He has the little pomegranates in the bells to
- 7:44keep Him from dying in the most holy place where they would know
- 7:48that He's still ministering inside of that sacred space.
- 7:52We know that He has holy unto the Lord on its forehead.
- 7:57We can see the whole thing and here now we're getting to see
- 8:01after He has this put on, now it is time to consecrate Himself
- 8:08and this is going to go on and He needed to know and the nation
- 8:13Israel needed to know. This was all pointing towards
- 8:17one day the Messiah coming and fulfilling everything once and
- 8:22for all, and there was no need for the shedding of blood again,
- 8:27and there was no need for all of these pictures, 'cause we have
- 8:33it completely and fully in Christ Jesus. 6 And you shall
- 8:40put the mitre upon his head, and put the Holy Crown upon the
- 8:44mitre. 7 And you shall take the anointing oil and pour it upon
- 8:49his head, and anoint him. So we know that the blood
- 8:52represents the covering, and we know that the oil represents the
- 8:56Holy Spirit. 8 And you shall bring his sons, and put coats
- 9:01upon them. So they had a lesser suit.
- 9:04They had a lesser garment than the high priest. 9 And you shall
- 9:09gird them with girdles, Aaron and his sons, and put the
- 9:12bonnets on them. And the priest's office shall be
- 9:15theirs for a perpetual state statute.
- 9:19And you shall consecrate Aaron and his sons.
- 9:22So here's the consecration of the priests, of getting rid of
- 9:25any of the worldly systems, and to get them to set their minds
- 9:31and their eyes and their hearts upon Yahweh everlasting worthy
- 9:35to be praised, Tan. And you shall cause a bull to be
- 9:40brought before the Tabernacle of the congregation, and Aaron and
- 9:44his son shall put their hands up on the head of the bull.
- 9:46So this was a impartation where they would place their hands
- 9:54upon this animal, and all the sins that they had committed
- 9:58would go to this animal, and it was a sign that they are putting
- 10:06all of their sins upon this animal. 11 And you shall kill
- 10:11the bull before the Lord by the door of the Tabernacle of the
- 10:15congregation. Can you see, can you see the
- 10:18bull being led to the door? Can you see Aaron and his sons
- 10:22bearing all of their sins upon this animal?
- 10:25And then the animal gets slaughtered and gets killed, and
- 10:30the blood pours out. 12 And you shall take of the blood of the
- 10:33bull, and put it upon the horns of the altar with your finger,
- 10:38and pour all the blood beside the bottom of the altar.
- 10:41Can you see King Jesus in all of this?
- 10:44He's being led to the slaughter, and he silent before the shears.
- 10:50Can you see his innocent blood being poured out?
- 10:53Can you see it at the base of the altar?
- 10:56The altar was a place of killing friends, and Jesus is the one
- 11:01who was to be killed once and for all.
- 11:04Can you see the blood being poured onto the horns of the
- 11:08altar here? 13 And you shall take all the
- 11:14fat that covers the innards, and the call that is above the
- 11:17liver, and the two kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and
- 11:21burn them upon the altar. So here at this killing place,
- 11:25they would take the organs, and they would burn it unto God. 14
- 11:30But the flesh of the bull and his skin and his dung shall you
- 11:34burn with fire outside the camp, for it is a sin offering.
- 11:40So we know that Jesus was killed outside of Jerusalem, He was
- 11:48killed at Calvary, at Golgotha, and he met all the requirements
- 11:54for the sacrifice of God. And that is what all of this
- 11:57points towards. 15 And you shall also take one ram, and Aaron and
- 12:03his son shall put their hands upon the head of the ram. 16 And
- 12:07you shall slay the ram, and shall take his blood, and
- 12:10sprinkle it round about the altar. 17 And you shall cut the
- 12:15ram in pieces, and wash the innards of him and his legs, and
- 12:19put them unto the pieces and unto his head.
- 12:23So here this ram was brought in, in the same way that the bull
- 12:27was, and Aaron and his sons were to put the weight of their sin
- 12:31upon this animal, and then the animal was to be cut asunder,
- 12:35and the pieces laid out. 18 And you shall burn the whole ram on
- 12:42the altar. It is a burnt offering unto the
- 12:45Lord. It is a sweet savour, an
- 12:47offering made by fire unto the Lord.
- 12:50So this smell of the roasted meat goes up, and it pleases
- 12:55God. And he knows that ultimately one
- 12:58day his son will have to sacrifice.
- 13:01His only begotten will have to be killed. 19 And you shall take
- 13:07the other ram, and Aaron and his son shall put their hands up on
- 13:10the head of the ram. 20 And you shall kill the ram, and take of
- 13:15his blood, and put it upon the tip of the right ear of Aaron,
- 13:19and upon the tip of the right ear of his sons, and upon the
- 13:23thumb of their right hand, and upon the great toe of their
- 13:30right foot, and sprinkled the blood upon the altar round and
- 13:34about. So this was a sign unto Aaron
- 13:38and his sons that they need to hear differently, they need to
- 13:43work differently, they need to walk differently.
- 13:47They are called to a higher order and that is for us today,
- 13:51friends, That is for you and that is for me.
- 13:54We cannot hear things the same way that we used to hear them.
- 13:57We cannot go in the same places that we used to go.
- 14:01We cannot do the same things that we used to do.
- 14:04We are called out. We are called to be different
- 14:07and to be the difference makers friends and that is a mark of
- 14:11somebody who is truly the Lords. If you are still going and doing
- 14:16and you see nothing wrong and have no conviction for doing the
- 14:20wrong things and listening to the wrong things and watching
- 14:24the wrong things, then you need to check yourself before you
- 14:27wreck yourself, friends. Because it is a sign unto you
- 14:32that the Holy Spirit has not enveloped you and is not inside
- 14:36you, friend. And that is not to get you to
- 14:38doubt your salvation. But today is the day of
- 14:42salvation. Friends.
- 14:43Turn your life over to Him today.
- 14:45Consecrate the temple today. Work out your salvation with
- 14:49fear and trembling. Do not just sit on the blessed
- 14:53assurance and think that you can do anything and everything that
- 14:56you want to do, and then include God in when it's convenient. 21
- 15:01And you shall take of the blood that is upon the altar, and of
- 15:05the anointing oil, and sprinkle it upon air, and upon his
- 15:08garments, and upon his sons, and upon the garments of his sons
- 15:12with him. And he shall be hallowed, and
- 15:14his garments, and his sons, and his son's garments with him.
- 15:17So just know there is nothing special in any of the garments.
- 15:23There's nothing special in the stones.
- 15:25There's nothing special, friends, in the ornaments, in
- 15:30the suit that Aaron was to put on the bonnets and the mitre and
- 15:34the crown. There's nothing special.
- 15:36It is God who is the one who consecrates it, and He is the
- 15:41one who gives it any amount of dignity and power.
- 15:47It is turning our hearts and our minds towards the Creator of
- 15:51everything, seen and unseen. It's by completely yielding unto
- 15:56Him that we find power, friends. And the Shekinah glory of the
- 16:00fire comes down and consumes all the sacrifices, friends, and we
- 16:05are empowered by God and by God alone.
- 16:09It is nothing special in the physical.
- 16:13It is all about God and it is all about Him giving us His
- 16:18power. And just like with Saul and just
- 16:22like with Samson, we think that we could just go out and do
- 16:26whatever we want. We think we have the temple of
- 16:28the Lord and we did not know that God had departed.
- 16:32You need to understand, friends, that you must remain in Him.
- 16:38In Him and you abide, friends, and you will produce much fruit,
- 16:43but if not, you will be cut off and thrown into the fire. 22 And
- 16:48you shall take of the ram, the fat and the rump, and the fat
- 16:51that covers the innards, and the call above the liver, the two
- 16:55kidneys, and the fat that is upon them, and the right
- 16:58shoulder, for it is a ram of consecration, 23 And one loaf of
- 17:04bread and one cake of oiled bread, and 1 wafer out of the
- 17:08basket of the unleavened bread that is before the Lord.
- 17:12So here we're going to get to see Aaron and his sons be able
- 17:17to have communion with God and unto God.
- 17:21They're able to not only just burn up the animals and slay the
- 17:25animals outside of the camp and to be a sweet savour unto God,
- 17:30but they actually get to eat. They actually get to take in and
- 17:34that is part of the walk with God.
- 17:37We cannot just be bystanders. We cannot just be those who sit
- 17:41in our seats and listen to clever sermons put together that
- 17:47tickle our ear and then we go out of that place unchanged.
- 17:51We need to actively actually consume the word of God.
- 17:56Feed ourselves upon the word of God.
- 17:58It is sweet in our mouth, bitter in our bellies. 24 And you shall
- 18:05put all the hands of Aaron, and in the hands of his sons, and
- 18:10shall wave them for a wave offering before the Lord.
- 18:14So we see this wave offering. They're taking the bread,
- 18:17they're taking the meat, and they're waving it unto God.
- 18:20They're looking up and they're waving it unto God.
- 18:23And they are acknowledging that he is in full control, and that
- 18:27all of this is for him and to him and by him.
- 18:30And it's all pointing towards our Messiah. 25 And you shall
- 18:35receive them of their hands, and burn them upon the altar for a
- 18:39burnt offering, for a sweet savour before the Lord.
- 18:42For it is an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
- 18:46So we see that this part of the sacrifice was unto God. 26 And
- 18:52you shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron's consecration, and
- 18:56wave it for a wave offering before the Lord, and it shall be
- 19:00your part. So here's the part where they
- 19:02actually get to eat. 27 You shall sanctify the breast of the
- 19:07wave offering, and the shoulder of the heave offering, which is
- 19:10waved and which is heaved up of the ram of the consecration,
- 19:14even of that which is for Aaron, and that which is for his sons.
- 19:1928 And it shall be Aaron's and his sons by a statute forever
- 19:24from the children of Israel. For it is a heave offering, and
- 19:28it shall be a heave offering from the children of Israel, of
- 19:32the sacrifice of the peace offerings, even their heave
- 19:35offering unto the Lord. So can you see them take this
- 19:38meat, and take this bread, and wave it unto God, and they are
- 19:44acknowledging that God is in full control. 29 And the holy
- 19:49garments of Aaron shall be his sons after him, to be anointed
- 19:53therein, and to be consecrated in them.
- 19:55So Aaron, once he passed, he was to pass on his clothing to his
- 20:01relatives, and so on and so forth. 30 and the Son that his
- 20:07priest and his stead shall put them on 7 days, when he comes
- 20:11into the Tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the
- 20:15holy place. So here it was to go on for an
- 20:18entire week of this ceremony that instituted the new High
- 20:23Priest. And we know that Jesus is our
- 20:26High Priest, and He is not only our High Priest, but He is our
- 20:30King of Kings. He plays both offices, friends.
- 20:34And it is amazing to see that Jesus fulfilled all the
- 20:38requirements to be both for us, and we are forever and ever and
- 20:46ever to praise Him and honor Him and worship Him for what he did
- 20:55for us. We are indebted for all of
- 20:58eternity unto Jesus Christ. 31 And you shall take the ram of
- 21:12the consecration, and see this flesh in the holy place. 32 And
- 21:17Aaron and his Son shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread
- 21:21that is in the basket by the door of the Tabernacle of the
- 21:24congregation. 33 And they shall eat those things wherewith the
- 21:28atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify, but
- 21:33a stranger shall not eat of it, because it is holy.
- 21:36So here we get to see some $1,000,000 words, friends.
- 21:40This at one meant here in verse 33.
- 21:44That is, that they are finally at one with God.
- 21:47They're not at odds with him. Through all of these sacrifices,
- 21:53they have become at one with God.
- 21:55And we see that it was to consecrate, and that is taking
- 21:59everything out of the temple that does not belong, and it is
- 22:03to sanctify them, and that is to become more and more like Jesus
- 22:07Christ every single day. 34 And if aught of the flesh of the
- 22:13consecrations or of the bread remain until the morning, then
- 22:17you shall burn the remainder with fire.
- 22:19It shall not be eaten because it is holy.
- 22:22So there was nothing to be leftover.
- 22:24It was all to be burned up before the morning. 35 And you
- 22:29shall do unto Aaron and his sons, according to all things
- 22:34which I have commanded you. 7 days shall you consecrate them.
- 22:38So day after day after day after day.
- 22:42This ritual was performed for seven complete days and was to
- 22:48remind them that they have yet to experience the all sufficient
- 22:53sacrifice of Jesus Christ that only He could forever take away
- 22:58their sins. It wasn't the blood of bulls, it
- 23:01wasn't the blood of Rams. It wasn't the heave or the wave
- 23:05offering. It wasn't about the garments
- 23:09that he put on. It wasn't about any of it.
- 23:12It was all about Christ. And he was finally going to come
- 23:15and fulfill all of these requirements.
- 23:18What an amazing God we serve. 36 And you shall offer every day a
- 23:23bowl for a sin, offering for atonement, and you shall cleanse
- 23:28the altar when you have made an atonement for it, and you shall
- 23:31anoint it and sanctify it. So this anointing is the Holy
- 23:35Spirit being poured out, friends, synonymous with the
- 23:39oil. When you see it, 37 seven days,
- 23:43you shall make an atonement for the altar and sanctify it.
- 23:46And it shall be an altar most holy.
- 23:49Whatsoever touches the altar shall be holy.
- 23:52So is it, Isn't it amazing, friends?
- 23:55And we could see that God is going to be well pleased to pour
- 24:00out His manifest presence upon this tent, and He can do the
- 24:06same for you and for me, because we are the temple of God.
- 24:11And when we consecrate ourselves, and we are sanctified
- 24:15and at one with Him, then the Shekinah glory comes and rests
- 24:19upon us. Friends, do not grieve the
- 24:22Spirit. 38 Now this is that which you shall offer upon the
- 24:27altar. 2 lambs of the first year, day by day, continually.
- 24:3139 and 1 lamb shall you offer in the morning, and the other lamb
- 24:36shall you offer in the evening. 40 And with the 1 lamb a tenth
- 24:40deal of flour mingled with the 4th part of a hen of beaten oil,
- 24:44and the fourth part of a hen of wine for a drink offering.
- 24:48Can you see it, friends? Can you see this lamb and the
- 24:52Can you see the bread? Can you see the wine?
- 24:55It is all Jesus Christ. 41 And the other lamb you shall offer
- 25:02at evening, and shall do thereto according to the meat offering
- 25:06of the morning, and according to the drink offering thereof, for
- 25:10a sweet savour, an offering made by fire unto the Lord. 42 This
- 25:15shall be a continual burnt offering throughout your
- 25:18generations, at the door of the Tabernacle of the congregation
- 25:22before the Lord, where I will meet you to speak there unto
- 25:27you. So we know that God would come
- 25:29into the most Holy of the holy places, and you cannot box him
- 25:33in, and he does not live in houses made by man.
- 25:36But he was well pleased to come during this time.
- 25:39And now He will come upon you. If you will consecrate yourself,
- 25:43if you will be anointed and sanctify yourselves and be at
- 25:48one with God, He will come and make His manifest presence in
- 25:52your own life, friends, and you will see greater things. 43 And
- 26:00there I will meet with the children of Israel, and the
- 26:03Tabernacle shall be sanctified by my glory.
- 26:07Glory, glory, glory, Hallelujah. That's what we need right now,
- 26:11in this day, in this hour. We need to see that God is real,
- 26:16that God is still moving mightily in our midst.
- 26:19We need to see, friends, that it is not about money.
- 26:25We need to see that it is not about vanity.
- 26:30It's not about vain repetition and vain jangling, friends.
- 26:34It's all about the manifest presence of God, the glory
- 26:38encompassing His church and people being set free and saved.
- 26:43Friends, it's not about church bylaws.
- 26:46It's not about denominations. Friends, it's not about that,
- 26:52friends, It's all about God. It's all about Christ.
- 26:55It's all about His Word. Give him His due honor and
- 27:01reverence today. 44 and I will sanctify the Tabernacle of the
- 27:11congregation and the altar. I will sanctify also both Aaron
- 27:16and his sons to minister to me in the priest's office.
- 27:20So you need to understand that we have to renew our minds,
- 27:25friends, by the washing of the Word, friends, every day we have
- 27:29to break free from the culture and what culture is trying to
- 27:32tell us. And we need to set our eyes upon
- 27:37God, set our eyes upon Mount Zion, friends.
- 27:41That is where we ascend. That is where he came down to
- 27:45meet us, to take us up. 45 And I would dwell among the children
- 27:51of Israel, and I will be their God. 46 And they shall know that
- 27:56I am the Lord their God that brought them forth out of the
- 27:59land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them.
- 28:02I am the Lord their God. You need to know that you were
- 28:06once in bondage, you were once a slave to sin.
- 28:09You were once in Egypt, and Jesus Christ parted the Red Sea
- 28:17and we walked across on dry land, and now we are in the
- 28:21wilderness. Let's not be caught murmuring
- 28:28and complaining and grumbling against the holy God, because
- 28:32we're not yet in the Promised Land where it's coming, friends,
- 28:36we're going to get there. But in the meantime and in
- 28:39between time, wait. Well, be found in the harvest,
- 28:44be found in the field. Break up the fallow ground,
- 28:47friends. Do not be those who conspire
- 28:54against Moses. We need to be those that are
- 28:59found actually doing the work of an evangelist, actually making
- 29:04this life all about the next, not about being preoccupied with
- 29:10the here and the now. God will take care of you.
- 29:15Be content with food and clothing.
- 29:18Do not be consumed by materialism and consumerism.
- 29:22Do not be. Eat up with fear and anxiety.
- 29:25Friends, it's all about King Jesus.
- 29:27Set your eyes upon him and he'll lead you home.
- 29:30I hope you've been blessed by this amazing chapter in God's
- 29:33Word. I know I sure have.
- 29:35I'm praying for every single one of you.
- 29:37I love you and we'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 29:40God bless you.
