- 0:25Speaker 1: Bye and welcome back to Pinky Boo Hauntings. I'll be
- 0:28Speaker 1: your witchy host Shy, and I'll be your guide to
- 0:31Speaker 1: all things paranormal, weird and spooky. I know I say
- 0:37Speaker 1: this a lot lately, but this week is going to
- 0:40Speaker 1: be a crazy week for me. Not only do I
- 0:43Speaker 1: have to plan a whole birthday party by myself, I
- 0:47Speaker 1: also have to figure out how to make a pac
- 0:49Speaker 1: Man cake and I may or may not be making
- 0:52Speaker 1: banners as well. Oh and I was requested to make
- 0:56Speaker 1: a cake topper too, as well as wrap to presence
- 1:01Speaker 1: of course. So to get my mind off of all
- 1:05Speaker 1: of that for a moment, let's talk about ghost. Our
- 1:09Speaker 1: first story is my life was saved by a ghost.
- 1:16Speaker 1: My boyfriend of five years has crushed on me for
- 1:19Speaker 1: probably twelve or thirteen years. He was two grades below
- 1:24Speaker 1: me and was a bad boy while I was popular
- 1:30Speaker 1: and in all honors college level classes. So I wasn't
- 1:35Speaker 1: aware he existed until I met him at my dad's
- 1:39Speaker 1: business about seven years ago. He apparently talked about me
- 1:46Speaker 1: being his dream girl. It was teased that it would
- 1:49Speaker 1: never happen. Is why I mentioned this. I just hope
- 1:53Speaker 1: he wasn't being creepy all of those years, because I know,
- 1:57Speaker 1: especially at that age, but really, let's be honest, at
- 2:00Speaker 1: any age, a guy that likes you like that will
- 2:05Speaker 1: do anything in everything to get your attention, whether you
- 2:09Speaker 1: want it or not. And since he sounds very committed,
- 2:12Speaker 1: I could see that happening. But then again, you did
- 2:16Speaker 1: say you didn't even know he existed, so maybe he
- 2:19Speaker 1: didn't bother you. Honestly, I hope that's the case, because
- 2:26Speaker 1: it would be way sweeter if he admired you from
- 2:28Speaker 1: afar and just let it happen naturally. So in two
- 2:34Speaker 1: thousand and nine, he and his best friend I'll call
- 2:38Speaker 1: him Josh, we're getting into pills due to Josh's grandfather
- 2:43Speaker 1: being an amputee and unable to properly attend or understand
- 2:49Speaker 1: hiding the medication, thus leading out large amounts of methodon, klonopin,
- 2:57Speaker 1: hydro codon and such lying around betucate. Guess that I
- 3:03Speaker 1: really do not like saying medicine names. I don't know
- 3:07Speaker 1: who decided to name them, but they do not like them.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So if I sound weird saying all that, oh my bad,
- 3:16Speaker 1: I'm trying my best. I promise this was before the
- 3:22Speaker 1: opiate crisis that has affected my generation deeply in the
- 3:26Speaker 1: last fifteen years. Two days before Christmas two thousand and nine,
- 3:32Speaker 1: Josh overdosed in the bedroom that my boyfriend is currently
- 3:37Speaker 1: staying in. It's a long story, but we moved back
- 3:43Speaker 1: into our respective families because we were laid off during
- 3:46Speaker 1: the pandemic and we're in a bad wreck losing the
- 3:51Speaker 1: extra car. The room has never felt spooky, never anything
- 3:57Speaker 1: strange about it. But I've had a few pranks pulled
- 4:01Speaker 1: on me that we believe Josh does to basically congratulate
- 4:06Speaker 1: my boyfriend on being with the woman he waited for.
- 4:11Speaker 1: I've woken up to sticky notes completely covering my body,
- 4:17Speaker 1: my drinks poured into the floor in random objects moved
- 4:22Speaker 1: right where I exit the bed so that I step
- 4:26Speaker 1: on them first thing in the morning. I swear I've
- 4:31Speaker 1: heard giggling each time I've angrily asked my boyfriend if
- 4:36Speaker 1: he was messing with me, and I'm aware when he's lying,
- 4:42Speaker 1: he always says no. We like to think this is
- 4:47Speaker 1: Josh playing practical jokes, something he was known for, but
- 4:53Speaker 1: this is nothing compared to what Josh did for me
- 4:57Speaker 1: in twenty seventeen. It wasn't a prank. It saved my life.
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. The sticky notes is wild. Also,
- 5:10Speaker 1: Josh needs to chill on the practical jokes, like at
- 5:14Speaker 1: some point it has got to get old. Maybe you
- 5:18Speaker 1: need to tell him to stop if he still does that. Anyways,
- 5:24Speaker 1: four years ago, I went into anaphylactic shock. I lost
- 5:30Speaker 1: all ability to speak or move my lower body. I
- 5:36Speaker 1: was upstairs with a curved and steep staircase separating me
- 5:43Speaker 1: from my phone. I remember crawling to the stairs, knowing
- 5:47Speaker 1: it could be fatal if I smashed into the wall
- 5:50Speaker 1: that the stairs led to before the turn with very
- 5:54Speaker 1: large steep steps. I know I was extremely jenn deprived,
- 6:01Speaker 1: but I immediately saw Josh and two of my deceased
- 6:06Speaker 1: best friends ascend the staircase and carry me to the
- 6:10Speaker 1: living room couch with my nebulizer and cell phone. I
- 6:15Speaker 1: called nine one one, but I had no voice. My
- 6:19Speaker 1: friends were gone except Josh. He told me he was
- 6:25Speaker 1: going to wake my boyfriend from the hammock in the
- 6:27Speaker 1: back of my yard, and suddenly my boyfriend dreamed of
- 6:33Speaker 1: his friends, saying that I was in trouble. If all
- 6:40Speaker 1: of this really happened, that is insane. I mean, I'm
- 6:44Speaker 1: happy you made it down the stairs safely, but still
- 6:51Speaker 1: my boyfriend came running into the house, and by this
- 6:55Speaker 1: point I was dying. I know longer could use any
- 7:01Speaker 1: part of my body, and no air came into my
- 7:04Speaker 1: lungs when I inhaled. I remember thinking of my daughter
- 7:10Speaker 1: in praying her father would navigate my loss to her
- 7:15Speaker 1: and keep memories of me alive. He actually died in
- 7:19Speaker 1: a freak accident eight months ago, so now I'm fulfilling
- 7:24Speaker 1: that for him. But I digress. Wait, wait is this
- 7:31Speaker 1: the boyfriend or someone else? I'm so confused right now. Also,
- 7:37Speaker 1: your friend group seems to be very unlucky. What is
- 7:41Speaker 1: going on with you guys. I struggled to remain conscious,
- 7:48Speaker 1: but I was fading. My boyfriend saw the nine one
- 7:52Speaker 1: one operator on the phone in my sweaty blue body.
- 7:58Speaker 1: He told him he didn't think I was breathing, and
- 8:01Speaker 1: by some absolute miracle, there was an ambulance passing my neighborhood.
- 8:09Speaker 1: The hospital in Dispatch were thirty minutes away. This coincidence,
- 8:15Speaker 1: plus my boyfriend's sudden premonition that I was hurt, saved
- 8:21Speaker 1: my life. Josh and those EMTs saved my life. I
- 8:28Speaker 1: remember the EMT asking my boyfriend if I had overdose.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I hadn't, and I thought of how Josh had died.
- 8:37Speaker 1: I was blabbering on about dead people saving me after
- 8:41Speaker 1: a large amount of a doorphin, so no wonder they
- 8:45Speaker 1: thought I was high. The doctors in EMT were baffled
- 8:50Speaker 1: at how I managed to get down those stairs or
- 8:54Speaker 1: even stay alive long enough to get help. I had
- 8:58Speaker 1: one bruise on my leg that was tiny. That was it,
- 9:04Speaker 1: and the worst headache I've ever had. Well, yeah, you
- 9:13Speaker 1: did lose oxygen for a good while. That would definitely
- 9:18Speaker 1: give you a bad headache. Turns out I'm allergic to
- 9:25Speaker 1: latex and spray paint. I just told them I slid
- 9:29Speaker 1: down the stairs, but it's not how I remember it.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I don't blame you for not telling that part of
- 9:39Speaker 1: the story when you were in your right head. Again,
- 9:45Speaker 1: it could get you sent to a crippy salt vacation,
- 9:48Speaker 1: especially if you told the wrong person. Plus, it does
- 9:53Speaker 1: sound kind of crazy. Don't get me wrong. We do
- 9:57Speaker 1: crazy here. We do weird, but for a a lot
- 10:00Speaker 1: of people that sounds unbelievable. The weird thing is I
- 10:07Speaker 1: never met Josh when he was alive. I don't know
- 10:11Speaker 1: how I recognized him or hallucinated him, but he looked
- 10:15Speaker 1: exactly like the picture I was shown. I've had a
- 10:20Speaker 1: lot of paranormal encounters, but my run in with Josh
- 10:24Speaker 1: saved my life and he never even knew me. So
- 10:31Speaker 1: thanks Josh for giving me more time on this earth,
- 10:36Speaker 1: and I wish we had met many years before. I
- 10:40Speaker 1: do hope he is resting peacefully, just periodically popping in
- 10:45Speaker 1: to check on us. Well, he was your boyfriend's best
- 10:52Speaker 1: friend and knew how much of a crush he had
- 10:55Speaker 1: on you, so I don't think it mattered that you
- 11:00Speaker 1: didn't know him. He definitely knew you and wanted to
- 11:04Speaker 1: say his best friend another heartbreak. Also, I'm sure he's
- 11:10Speaker 1: living peacefully on the other side, if not a little
- 11:14Speaker 1: bit annoyingly so with his practical jokes on you. But
- 11:20Speaker 1: let's move on from this life saving spirit and see
- 11:23Speaker 1: what makes our next ghost so awesome. This story is
- 11:27Speaker 1: called our pretty Awesome Ghost. In her story, my wife
- 11:34Speaker 1: and I moved into an old house in New England
- 11:37Speaker 1: in the summer of two thousand. We had looked at
- 11:42Speaker 1: dozens of houses, but this one just immediately felt like home.
- 11:50Speaker 1: Soon after, we invited our good friends James and his
- 11:54Speaker 1: boyfriend up for the weekend. Keep James and his husband
- 11:59Speaker 1: in mind, we were pretty well into getting our late
- 12:05Speaker 1: night party on, playing cards, drinking, smoking in the dining room.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Out of the corner of my eye, I saw, though
- 12:14Speaker 1: the experience was more like perceived, very vividly, a older
- 12:20Speaker 1: woman with jet black hair sitting next to an old,
- 12:25Speaker 1: upright piano in the corner. The piano came with the house.
- 12:31Speaker 1: We specifically requested that the previous owner included in the
- 12:35Speaker 1: cell because it was so cool and we didn't have
- 12:39Speaker 1: much furniture. It wasn't even slightly scary. In fact, it
- 12:46Speaker 1: was just like she was hanging out. I mentioned it
- 12:50Speaker 1: to everyone and we laughed it off. Drinking and fun
- 12:54Speaker 1: continued through the night. I bet she loved that piano
- 13:00Speaker 1: and was happy you kept it in the house as
- 13:02Speaker 1: well as take care of it. I was never really
- 13:07Speaker 1: a ghost believer and still a skeptic one hundred percent,
- 13:12Speaker 1: but the rest of the story made me really wonder.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I will never understand how someone says or a skeptic
- 13:22Speaker 1: after seeing a whole apparition in their house I mean,
- 13:27Speaker 1: maybe if this was all I could see you trying
- 13:29Speaker 1: to explain it away. But we are only halfway through
- 13:33Speaker 1: the story, so clearly this isn't all you saw or
- 13:38Speaker 1: dealt with. So again, how are you a skeptic? Even now?
- 13:45Speaker 1: Several weeks later, we met a neighbor from down the
- 13:48Speaker 1: street who lived in the neighborhood for forty five years.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You live in Muriel King's house, she tells us. Muriel
- 13:58Speaker 1: was a really interesting lady. She was a famous fashion
- 14:02Speaker 1: designer in the nineteen thirties. Please google her. That lived
- 14:08Speaker 1: there alone after her husband committed suicide. Very traumatic. But
- 14:14Speaker 1: she was an interesting lady, very independent and ahead of
- 14:18Speaker 1: her time. She traveled all over the world. She was Greek.
- 14:24Speaker 1: I think Greek. I asked, weird question, but did she
- 14:30Speaker 1: have black hair? Yes? She had black hair, even when
- 14:34Speaker 1: she was an old woman. It was very striking. Yep.
- 14:40Speaker 1: I got chills right then. Yeah, because you know, deep
- 14:45Speaker 1: down you saw her. You're not a skeptic. You're just
- 14:48Speaker 1: scared to believe, aren't you. Many weeks later I met
- 14:54Speaker 1: another neighbor from down the street that had lived there
- 14:56Speaker 1: for sixty plus years. I started telling me about Muriel.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Every time I say Muriel, I can't help but think
- 15:06Speaker 1: of Courage as a cowardly dog. And if it wasn't
- 15:09Speaker 1: the middle of the night and everybody was asleep right now,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I want to yell her name the way Eustace would,
- 15:16Speaker 1: because that's all I hear in my head every time
- 15:18Speaker 1: I read this name, and now I probably put that
- 15:22Speaker 1: in your head. So you're welcome. She was a famous
- 15:28Speaker 1: fashion designer. She designed gowns for Rita Hayworth in all
- 15:33Speaker 1: of the classic film stars, and she designed costumes for
- 15:38Speaker 1: Broadway plays too. Oh I did google her, by the way,
- 15:46Speaker 1: and all of this is true. She was a famous
- 15:49Speaker 1: fashion designer that did work on a lot of movies
- 15:52Speaker 1: back in the golden age of cinema. She's even one
- 15:56Speaker 1: of the first fashion designers to achieve name recognition in America.
- 16:03Speaker 1: So to say to Lease, she is kind of a badass.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Her parties were legendary, he tells me. She used to
- 16:15Speaker 1: have all of her gay boyfriends from Broadway come up
- 16:19Speaker 1: on the train and they drink and sing show tunes
- 16:23Speaker 1: at the piano in the dining room all night long. Oh,
- 16:29Speaker 1: I see, that's why she decided to join you that night.
- 16:33Speaker 1: You guys reminded her of her party she had and
- 16:36Speaker 1: probably wanted to have fun with you. That's so cool.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I like this lady. Oh and this also reminds me
- 16:46Speaker 1: that I have yet to say Happy Pride everybody I know.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I probably should have said it earlier, But I wish
- 16:57Speaker 1: I could have done a Pride theme for this month,
- 17:00Speaker 1: but I don't know what to even look up for that.
- 17:06Speaker 1: If you guys have any ideas that I could use
- 17:09Speaker 1: for next year, please tell me, because I really would
- 17:13Speaker 1: have loved to celebrate the month a little better. But
- 17:17Speaker 1: first of all, I'm bad at this still as far
- 17:21Speaker 1: as the scheduling and all that junk goes, and also
- 17:24Speaker 1: just keeping up with when these things are coming out
- 17:29Speaker 1: at least until the last minute, and I've already recorded.
- 17:34Speaker 1: But maybe I can get better at it by next
- 17:36Speaker 1: year so that I can actually do a theme. So
- 17:40Speaker 1: if you have any ideas for what I could do,
- 17:43Speaker 1: like a deep dive or something, please tell me. Hell,
- 17:48Speaker 1: even if it's just a gay bar that's haunted or something,
- 17:51Speaker 1: I want to know about it. Anyways, let's get back
- 17:55Speaker 1: to the story. Yep. Now this all could be coincidental,
- 18:01Speaker 1: but it just seems too much so, but she must
- 18:06Speaker 1: have been an awesome woman. People from around town have
- 18:11Speaker 1: given us some of her original drawings in even an
- 18:15Speaker 1: unfinished dress she was working on. There haven't been any
- 18:21Speaker 1: more Murial sightings, but shortly after my wife got pregnant
- 18:26Speaker 1: twenty years ago, we both woke up out of a
- 18:29Speaker 1: cold sleep at the same time and looked at each
- 18:32Speaker 1: other like what the fuck, and then our bedroom door
- 18:37Speaker 1: slammed hard. We like to think the Murieal wasn't a
- 18:42Speaker 1: fan of kids. She never had any of her own,
- 18:46Speaker 1: so she was like, later, y'all, I'm out of here.
- 18:52Speaker 1: That's my story, thanks for reading. I mean, it's possible
- 18:57Speaker 1: she saw you having a baby as the end of
- 19:00Speaker 1: the party. Clearly she enjoyed her parties, and it is
- 19:06Speaker 1: harder to have fun like that once you have a kid.
- 19:10Speaker 1: Either way, I do hope she just decided to leave
- 19:13Speaker 1: you guys in peace to raise your baby and went
- 19:17Speaker 1: somewhere else to host her legendary parties in the afterlife
- 19:21Speaker 1: and hopefully having lots of fun with her gay boyfriends
- 19:24Speaker 1: and they're all living in peace. Also, yeah, you clearly
- 19:31Speaker 1: were living with the spirit of a famous fashion designer.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Whether you want to really believe it or not, which
- 19:38Speaker 1: I do think you believe somewhere deep down, you just
- 19:43Speaker 1: don't want to admit it to yourself, you know. Except
- 19:48Speaker 1: for the traumatic medical emergency in the first story, these
- 19:52Speaker 1: have all been pretty nice stories, don't you think, Just
- 19:56Speaker 1: some nice ghosts coming around to help or just to
- 19:59Speaker 1: enjoy the party. And luckily, I think this last one
- 20:03Speaker 1: will also be the same, just proving that not everything
- 20:08Speaker 1: paranormal has to be bad or scary. But enough of that,
- 20:12Speaker 1: why don't we actually get into the last story? My
- 20:17Speaker 1: friend let me know he was okay. This past year
- 20:21Speaker 1: I lost one of my best friends to suicide. He
- 20:26Speaker 1: was the most loving, goofy person I had in my life.
- 20:30Speaker 1: He was obsessed with food, and specifically Ranch. It was
- 20:36Speaker 1: always a running joke because he put Ranch on everything.
- 20:41Speaker 1: I put that shit on everything, all right, I know
- 20:45Speaker 1: that's from a Frank's Red Hot commercial and not a
- 20:48Speaker 1: Ranch thing, but this made me think of it. I'm sorry,
- 20:54Speaker 1: I probably just confused everyone. Oh well. He was also
- 21:01Speaker 1: a huge dog cat lover. The day I found out
- 21:05Speaker 1: that he passed away, I was sitting in my bed
- 21:09Speaker 1: crying and my cat randomly decides to bring me something
- 21:15Speaker 1: my cat brought me a pack of a ranch. Your
- 21:20Speaker 1: friend figured ranch would fix your broken heart. I guess
- 21:24Speaker 1: this was the craziest thing ever, as my cat has
- 21:28Speaker 1: never brought me anything before, and I immediately think of
- 21:33Speaker 1: my friend every time I see ranch. I also normally
- 21:37Speaker 1: don't keep ranch in the house, so this was especially weird.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Turns out my roommate had grabbed one pack of ranch
- 21:48Speaker 1: at the gas station the day before for no reason,
- 21:52Speaker 1: just so crazy. Had to share kind of a goofy story.
- 21:58Speaker 1: But I took it as a sign that my friend
- 22:00Speaker 1: was okay and it made me feel better. Yeah, I'd
- 22:06Speaker 1: say that it was a sign from him to let
- 22:09Speaker 1: you know that he was okay. Even your roommate randomly
- 22:13Speaker 1: grabbing a pack of ranch for no reason, it is
- 22:16Speaker 1: all too much of a coincidence. It was all meant
- 22:21Speaker 1: to come together when it did to help ease you
- 22:24Speaker 1: in that moment. You even said it helped make you
- 22:28Speaker 1: feel better. So at least he was able to get
- 22:31Speaker 1: his message through to you, and at least you know
- 22:36Speaker 1: he's still around and that he's okay. Well, guys, that's
- 22:43Speaker 1: all I have for this week, and sadly, that means
- 22:47Speaker 1: I have to turn back into a party planner once again,
- 22:51Speaker 1: I would say send me good vibes because I need
- 22:54Speaker 1: it for the kick alone. But by the time this
- 22:57Speaker 1: comes out, we would have already had the party. So
- 23:02Speaker 1: hopefully the cake turned out well and I got everything
- 23:05Speaker 1: together and we had a great time. If it did
- 23:09Speaker 1: all turn out well, I'll let you know in the
- 23:11Speaker 1: next episode I record after the party. Anyways, if you
- 23:17Speaker 1: enjoy the podcast, please rate and review, as well as
- 23:21Speaker 1: like and subscribe. If you're on YouTube. You can also
- 23:26Speaker 1: help us grow the cove in by spreading the word.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Tell your grandma, tell your best friend, tell your judging aunt,
- 23:35Speaker 1: tell literally everyone you know, and make sure you tell
- 23:38Speaker 1: them they have to listen to the whole show or
- 23:41Speaker 1: they'll be cursed forever. I mean they won't really, because
- 23:46Speaker 1: I don't curse unless I have to. But they don't
- 23:49Speaker 1: need to know that. And don't forget. If you have
- 23:52Speaker 1: a story of your own, or hell, if you have
- 23:55Speaker 1: an idea that you want me to cover, send that
- 23:58Speaker 1: in too. That means ghosts, that means cryptic encounters, that
- 24:03Speaker 1: means Ellie in sidings. Even give me your mishaps and
- 24:07Speaker 1: your practice. I don't care. I want it all. So
- 24:11Speaker 1: long as it's spooky, weird and creepy, I want to
- 24:15Speaker 1: hear about it, so send them all to Pinky Boo
- 24:19Speaker 1: Hauntings at gmail and of course the email will also
- 24:23Speaker 1: be in the show notes below. But for now, the
- 24:26Speaker 1: Covenants ajourned, See you next time. Bye,
