- 1:07Speaker 1: Man pleasure to have you ladies here on the show tonight,
- 1:12Speaker 1: and I apologize to everyone, to listeners viewers, I have
- 1:16Speaker 1: a cold, so I'm gonna be sounding really odd and course,
- 1:21Speaker 1: but we're gonna we're gonna power the throw because ladies,
- 1:23Speaker 1: that's gonna help me out, and it's about them. It's
- 1:26Speaker 1: definitely not about me hearing them speak. So I want
- 1:30Speaker 1: to start with you, miss Rachel, because I've been hearing
- 1:33Speaker 1: about some real challenges and how you overcame them and
- 1:38Speaker 1: how it provides listeners with relatable lessons and resilience and perseverance.
- 1:44Speaker 1: So looking back, what were some of the biggest challenges
- 1:47Speaker 1: or obstacles that you had to overcome on your path
- 1:50Speaker 1: to financial independence?
- 1:55Speaker 2: For everybody who's a I appreciate the opportunity to speak
- 2:02Speaker 2: with you guys. And as Arthur Black allude to, I
- 2:06Speaker 2: am Rachel l Gary and I am a leadership coach
- 2:10Speaker 2: and the biggest.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Thing that.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Was hindering me in my journey was of my mindset.
- 2:18Speaker 2: And as a leadership coach, that is what I work
- 2:21Speaker 2: with people with the mindset that is needed for growth.
- 2:25Speaker 2: So when I realized in two thousand and four that
- 2:30Speaker 2: I was living a life of lack, a life of
- 2:33Speaker 2: a poverty mindset. I took an opportunity to rewrite and
- 2:40Speaker 2: set forward on my mission to be the CEO of
- 2:44Speaker 2: my life. And just a little bit about what the
- 2:48Speaker 2: CEO is is the person that is clearing your actions
- 2:51Speaker 2: and powered by your choices and owns your direction and
- 2:55Speaker 2: on an everyday basis, each and every one of you
- 2:59Speaker 2: are seeing he owes.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I like that. Ever heard anybody saying that's what their
- 3:09Speaker 1: mindset was? And I'm sitting here trying to go with that.
- 3:16Speaker 1: That is amazing even for you to justnowledge as the
- 3:20Speaker 1: kind of mindset that you had at that time. How
- 3:23Speaker 1: did you get through it? How did you do through?
- 3:27Speaker 2: I would say the biggest thing is that I am
- 3:31Speaker 2: an intentional type person and that I've always been. I've
- 3:34Speaker 2: always been someone who can be counted on and relied upon.
- 3:38Speaker 2: But I noticed in two thousand and four that I
- 3:41Speaker 2: couldn't rely on me. And before, while I was helping
- 3:45Speaker 2: everyone else find success in their lives, I wasn't successful
- 3:49Speaker 2: in mine because I wasn't putting the first person that
- 3:53Speaker 2: needs to be your first love first you. So when
- 3:58Speaker 2: I really dug deep and really realized that I was
- 4:01Speaker 2: loving everything first and not loving everything in the overflow
- 4:06Speaker 2: of me. I corrected that, so I started setting clear boundaries,
- 4:12Speaker 2: which is things I remind people in my course about
- 4:15Speaker 2: being self what self care really is, and it's about
- 4:18Speaker 2: setting those clear boundaries with yourself, loving yourself, understanding yourself,
- 4:23Speaker 2: and growling yourself so you can pour into others.
- 4:27Speaker 3: Everything should be loved. You should love everything in your
- 4:31Speaker 3: life in the overflow of you.
- 4:37Speaker 1: She's poor, She's definitely pouring nuggets into us. Talk with
- 4:46Speaker 1: the power of the mind and overflowing. You're not hearing
- 4:49Speaker 1: that from nobody else, but Daddy, I'm sorry by Rachel
- 4:53Speaker 1: talking about that. So, Daddy, where Rachel speaks about finance,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you speak in a literate voice and creative process. Your
- 5:02Speaker 1: first book is takeled with dec touches on deep emotional themes.
- 5:08Speaker 1: What was the heart behind that story?
- 5:12Speaker 4: Well, thank you.
- 5:13Speaker 5: Let me say also thank you for having me on tonight.
- 5:16Speaker 5: I am Bennie Nicole. I am an author, an entrepreneur,
- 5:22Speaker 5: a speaker speaking at into existence. So this first novel
- 5:29Speaker 5: that I published in twenty twenty four called Entangled with
- 5:32Speaker 5: deceit a lot of it so it's fiction, but I took.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Parts of my.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Real life as a young woman, single, dating, you know, relationships.
- 5:51Speaker 5: So that's kind of where the book came from, you know,
- 5:55Speaker 5: my life experiences as a single woman. And and so
- 6:02Speaker 5: I decided, you know, I want to talk about it.
- 6:06Speaker 5: But at the time, I didn't want to be I
- 6:08Speaker 5: didn't want it to be nonfiction. I wasn't ready to.
- 6:10Speaker 4: Be vulnerable, that vulnerable about my own life.
- 6:14Speaker 5: So the fiction I said I'm gonna turn into a
- 6:18Speaker 5: fiction out would change some names, change some scenery, but
- 6:22Speaker 5: it is, you know, based on a single moment that I.
- 6:26Speaker 4: You know, that I was in my twenties and thirties,
- 6:29Speaker 4: and that's how it came to.
- 6:32Speaker 1: So would you say that the vulnerability is what impacted
- 6:35Speaker 1: you personally?
- 6:38Speaker 4: Yes, yes, I would say that.
- 6:42Speaker 5: And that kind of leads up to and you, I
- 6:46Speaker 5: know you're going to speak on this later. But with
- 6:48Speaker 5: the second book, which is the anthology The Moments for Moms,
- 6:54Speaker 5: that one brought out the vulnerability. And that was a
- 6:58Speaker 5: challenge because I had to really, you know, share my
- 7:02Speaker 5: true self with others.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Just want to hear about how that came about with
- 7:08Speaker 1: you pinpoint in a turning point can illustrate the mindset
- 7:13Speaker 1: shift or opportunity that propelled you forward, or for insight
- 7:17Speaker 1: into how change happens, Rachel, what was there within specific
- 7:22Speaker 1: turning point or some hot moment when you realize things
- 7:26Speaker 1: were changing for the better in your life and career.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I'll say this, and when I started in two thousand
- 7:34Speaker 2: and four and became intentional, that was when everything pivoted immediately,
- 7:39Speaker 2: because I immediately set up a clear plan of action
- 7:43Speaker 2: of who I wanted to be and what my biggest
- 7:47Speaker 2: why is. I think that what we do is we
- 7:50Speaker 2: set goals without having something that is going to anchor us,
- 7:53Speaker 2: something that's going to keep us accountable to our success.
- 7:57Speaker 2: And what I did was my why to this day,
- 8:01Speaker 2: twenty one years later, is still the same. I am
- 8:05Speaker 2: a person that my children are proud of. I don't
- 8:09Speaker 2: speak in future, I don't speak in past tense, or
- 8:14Speaker 2: I speak in where I'm going to be and where
- 8:17Speaker 2: I want to be. So I speak in affirmation. I
- 8:20Speaker 2: speak in affirming what is mine and anything that I'm
- 8:24Speaker 2: going for.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I'm affirming that.
- 8:27Speaker 2: So I was a person my children were was going
- 8:30Speaker 2: to be proud of, and everything from that day forward
- 8:34Speaker 2: reflected it. And when I really noticed The biggest change
- 8:40Speaker 2: is when I went from sleeping on a couch and
- 8:43Speaker 2: making seven dollars an hour to where my circumstances were changing.
- 8:49Speaker 2: I want to say overnight, because in fourteen months I
- 8:53Speaker 2: was promoted four times because I was intentional about the
- 8:58Speaker 2: person I was being, So when I showed up at work,
- 9:02Speaker 2: I didn't show up at work as an employee. I
- 9:04Speaker 2: showed up to work every time as the best version
- 9:07Speaker 2: of me. And that and that doesn't mean I was
- 9:11Speaker 2: the best every day. Every day, I was getting better
- 9:15Speaker 2: every day. It was about moving one step forward. It
- 9:18Speaker 2: wasn't ten steps. I didn't go from zero to one hundred.
- 9:21Speaker 2: It was zero to ten, zero to thirty, thirty to forty,
- 9:25Speaker 2: forty to sixty and more and more months. The momentum
- 9:28Speaker 2: came with the fact that I was constantly every day
- 9:33Speaker 2: this is what this was my resimen. Guys, I'm and
- 9:36Speaker 2: if you read my book Forest and Fire from Ashes
- 9:38Speaker 2: to Empowerment it take, it speaks a lot to this.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I was very similar to what Daddy was saying about
- 9:44Speaker 2: not wanting to be vulnerable. I forced myself to be
- 9:48Speaker 2: vulnerable because it was important to me that people understood
- 9:53Speaker 2: that we all go through something and on the other side,
- 9:57Speaker 2: it's survival, not victimhood.
- 10:01Speaker 3: You're not a victim. You have survived whatever has taken place.
- 10:05Speaker 2: And I wanted to give the moments of try tragedies,
- 10:11Speaker 2: things that happened in my life, but the mindset that allowed.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Me to get over it, go through it, move forward,
- 10:18Speaker 3: and trust through even with my uncertainty.
- 10:22Speaker 2: When I was uncertain with me and coming out on
- 10:25Speaker 2: the other side and being able to still thrive.
- 10:28Speaker 3: So I said, as I said to answer your question.
- 10:32Speaker 2: The change was immediate for me because I immediately when
- 10:35Speaker 2: I noticed I was pouring into everyone but me and
- 10:38Speaker 2: my cup was always empty. I made that change immediately
- 10:42Speaker 2: and started doing way more boundary, creating boundaries around my peace.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I laugh all the time. I tell people I protect
- 10:49Speaker 2: my peace with a shotgun. That's one thing I do
- 10:52Speaker 2: not give up my peace to.
- 10:54Speaker 1: No one blame you got people just blowing up the
- 10:59Speaker 1: side this chart saying yes that part. Hello ladies, Hello family, sponsor,
- 11:05Speaker 1: the crew, inspiring author. As we got this Malagros here,
- 11:09Speaker 1: we got this Trevida here, we got DD here, and
- 11:13Speaker 1: then powered in. They're powered in and they're talking to you.
- 11:17Speaker 1: But I got a feeling and I'm going to have
- 11:19Speaker 1: to change your title to the intentional leadership coach. So
- 11:24Speaker 1: I'm going to start saying that the intentional leadership coach. Okay,
- 11:29Speaker 1: that's black, Danny. Your next career move was connecting your
- 11:36Speaker 1: book to your faith based view and it invites a
- 11:40Speaker 1: heartfelt reflection. What was that like?
- 11:45Speaker 5: It was challenging because I had to be vulnerable.
- 11:51Speaker 4: I had to share.
- 11:53Speaker 5: A part of myself and my feelings and my passed
- 12:00Speaker 5: and what led me to now. So it was challenging
- 12:05Speaker 5: at first. First I was like, I don't I don't
- 12:08Speaker 5: think I'm going to back out, Like I can't. I
- 12:10Speaker 5: can't tell them, you know, I can't. I can't share this.
- 12:13Speaker 5: But a guy was saying, you know, it's time to
- 12:18Speaker 5: to share, it's time to speak your truth. And it's
- 12:22Speaker 5: you know, there's because there's other women who were who
- 12:26Speaker 5: have the same story.
- 12:27Speaker 4: And as we began to come together and I began
- 12:31Speaker 4: to read the other women's stories and we shared.
- 12:35Speaker 5: Before the release of the book, I was like, wow,
- 12:38Speaker 5: that is so true, Like there really were people who
- 12:41Speaker 5: really have gone through some things and we were alike,
- 12:45Speaker 5: like we had the same you know, our journeys kind
- 12:50Speaker 5: of took a similar path that wasn't everything wasn't the same,
- 12:53Speaker 5: but I realized that I was not alone and and
- 12:58Speaker 5: so yeah, I was able to just share and and
- 13:02Speaker 5: and the women that were with me were just so
- 13:05Speaker 5: like a singers, like a sisterhood that I really am.
- 13:08Speaker 1: And that's the anthology that you're talking about, that anthology.
- 13:13Speaker 1: It used to happens when you're in the anthology, that
- 13:17Speaker 1: you become sisters or brothers and sisters. I want to know, also,
- 13:22Speaker 1: what was harder getting to now or getting to know
- 13:26Speaker 1: Danny in the way that Danny should know.
- 13:29Speaker 5: Danny getting to know Danny And I'm still I'm still
- 13:34Speaker 5: getting to know Danny.
- 13:37Speaker 4: I'm still know Danny.
- 13:40Speaker 5: And I like what Rachel was saying, she was talking
- 13:44Speaker 5: like speakers to me, because I mean, I got.
- 13:49Speaker 1: It was intentionally speaking to you. See, that's your intentionally.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You're gonna keep saying that. I keep saying that she
- 13:56Speaker 1: was intentionally everybody else.
- 13:59Speaker 4: To Yeah, she was intentionally speaking to me.
- 14:02Speaker 5: Everything she was saying was intentionally for me, because that's
- 14:06Speaker 5: the point I'm at at now reflecting and reinventing Danny.
- 14:14Speaker 5: And you know now that Dan, you know because I'm
- 14:17Speaker 5: I mean, I'm Danielle because that's what family knows me as.
- 14:21Speaker 5: So now that I'm Danny and I'm taken on Danny
- 14:25Speaker 5: to call the author, I'm finding me and I'm reinventing me.
- 14:32Speaker 3: I love that.
- 14:32Speaker 1: I'm proud of you, and so do I. I'm just
- 14:35Speaker 1: a big one loving on you for that or identifying
- 14:38Speaker 1: who you are and keeping yourself as a realist to
- 14:42Speaker 1: say that this is who I am. There's no mistakes
- 14:46Speaker 1: about it. In moments moments for mom and I just
- 14:50Speaker 1: love that time you talk about motherhood as a divine
- 14:55Speaker 1: I never heard it put that way, motherhood as a
- 14:58Speaker 1: divine sign it can you share what made you few?
- 15:02Speaker 1: Parenting as both a sacred honor and a challenging calling.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Yes, sure so. So I'm a single mom, so when
- 15:17Speaker 5: I had when I begin to have my children back
- 15:20Speaker 5: in the nineties, and I'm a woman of.
- 15:22Speaker 4: Faith, so I was in church for some I still
- 15:27Speaker 4: am so.
- 15:27Speaker 5: But as a woman of faith, being a single, being
- 15:30Speaker 5: a young woman having children out of wet lock, this
- 15:36Speaker 5: is in the nineties, that was kind of taboo. That
- 15:39Speaker 5: was kind of like, oh my god, uh you know,
- 15:44Speaker 5: so for me, I had to look at it. Children
- 15:50Speaker 5: are blessing. Everyone is not blessed to have children. And
- 15:54Speaker 5: when you when God blesses you, it's an assignment. Like
- 15:57Speaker 5: he's giving you, he's giving it. He's given you the child,
- 16:04Speaker 5: and it's up to you to be a good steward
- 16:06Speaker 5: over end and the guys gives you. And that's how
- 16:09Speaker 5: I looked at it, And so I wanted to be
- 16:11Speaker 5: the best mother that I could be because God gave
- 16:14Speaker 5: me my children, and so He's expected me to take
- 16:17Speaker 5: care of them, to provide for.
- 16:19Speaker 4: Them, you know, as they grow.
- 16:24Speaker 5: That was challenging at first because my church family kind
- 16:29Speaker 5: of shamed me.
- 16:31Speaker 1: For that moment.
- 16:32Speaker 5: And I'm glad I had my family and my family
- 16:35Speaker 5: has been a big support, my mom, my grandmother, aunt's,
- 16:41Speaker 5: uncle's best friends, because that was.
- 16:43Speaker 4: A vulnerable moment. I'm in my twenties and.
- 16:47Speaker 5: I'm pregnant, I'm no husband, and then now I'm ashamed,
- 16:52Speaker 5: and you know, I'm trying to find Okay, Danielle now
- 16:56Speaker 5: has these children, you know how she should God this buddy,
- 17:00Speaker 5: grace of God that I'm here.
- 17:03Speaker 1: The support of your family, support of your family, Like
- 17:06Speaker 1: you said, it was an assignment. Just like you said,
- 17:10Speaker 1: and you were chosen to carry that out, and you
- 17:13Speaker 1: carried it out. So I wouldn't, you know, concern myself
- 17:18Speaker 1: with that. Rachel. You recently you also had a call
- 17:22Speaker 1: me and I'm so glad that you answered because you're
- 17:26Speaker 1: serving as a panelist on cracks and the service strengths
- 17:30Speaker 1: in the core not easily broken. Now this panel highlights
- 17:33Speaker 1: your perspective on any strength and musilience. What was the
- 17:37Speaker 1: message of that panel and what did you what did
- 17:41Speaker 1: strengthen the call me to you in the context of
- 17:43Speaker 1: your own.
- 17:44Speaker 2: Life, I would say what I love about the panel
- 17:49Speaker 2: is that first, I'm gonna be honest. When I first
- 17:52Speaker 2: got the work book, I was like, oh, we got
- 17:55Speaker 2: more work other Black You're always gonna get it. You're
- 18:01Speaker 2: always gonna get me to be authentic and be an integritist.
- 18:04Speaker 2: But once I started reading and have an understanding about
- 18:08Speaker 2: what were you, what we were trying to do, how
- 18:11Speaker 2: we were trying to impact people, and it was it
- 18:15Speaker 2: was like, Okay.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Take a moment. This isn't work.
- 18:19Speaker 2: This is a mission, this is this is about helping
- 18:23Speaker 2: others heal. This is why I wrote for As the Fire.
- 18:26Speaker 2: So from this when I when I started going through
- 18:29Speaker 2: the exercises, it brought some It brought some things back
- 18:33Speaker 2: to my mind because you know how you you go
- 18:36Speaker 2: through life and you're really just methodically just going through life.
- 18:40Speaker 2: As things hit you, some knock you down, some pushed you,
- 18:44Speaker 2: you pushed through. But when I was reading through your
- 18:47Speaker 2: exercises in the book, it it made me have to
- 18:50Speaker 2: take a second to reflect.
- 18:53Speaker 3: And that's the part I.
- 18:54Speaker 2: Like most about the the the companion guy that were
- 18:59Speaker 2: reading currently and we're going through doing exercises, and I
- 19:03Speaker 2: liked that part because it made me think about how
- 19:07Speaker 2: did I really get through this? It made me dissect
- 19:10Speaker 2: that a little bit, which would you asked Dadi and
- 19:13Speaker 2: Nicole was just saying. It allowed me to find to
- 19:17Speaker 2: figure out some more things about myself that I really.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Thought I knew.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Because we're all growing and we're all developing on an
- 19:24Speaker 2: everyday basis. You learn more about yourself as you get
- 19:26Speaker 2: older and as you as you get through things. You
- 19:29Speaker 2: because as a child, as a younger, when you like
- 19:32Speaker 2: in your twenties, you're still growing.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Your mind is still growing.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Our minds an't even developed fully into where in our
- 19:38Speaker 2: twenty five twenty six, So going through those exercises really
- 19:43Speaker 2: brought to.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Light when I when I concentrated on.
- 19:46Speaker 2: What you were asking and took that in and then
- 19:50Speaker 2: started answering those questions transparently, being transparent, I tell you
- 19:55Speaker 2: the heart. I tell everyone, the hardest thing to do
- 19:58Speaker 2: is to be transparent with you. We could tell you
- 20:05Speaker 2: we all we all constantly wear a mask of some sort,
- 20:09Speaker 2: And the hardest thing is to be very honest with yourself.
- 20:13Speaker 2: And that companion God did just that. It asks you
- 20:18Speaker 2: to be honest, and if you're honest with you, then
- 20:23Speaker 2: you really realize the pars where you were broken and
- 20:25Speaker 2: where you really started putting yourself back together. So I
- 20:29Speaker 2: appreciate the work that I said in the beginning, but
- 20:32Speaker 2: now it also it's it's going along with me on
- 20:36Speaker 2: the journey for the next portion, where now I'm helping
- 20:39Speaker 2: other people find that those moments of clarity in their lives.
- 20:44Speaker 3: So I appreciate the guy. At this point, I'm.
- 20:48Speaker 1: So proud of all of you on the panel and
- 20:52Speaker 1: doing the work, and I see it with each and
- 20:55Speaker 1: every one of you. And I'm gona tell you I've
- 20:56Speaker 1: been doing the work too. May have written it, but
- 20:58Speaker 1: I get it in I do something to work too,
- 21:01Speaker 1: because I reflect on a lot of what I may
- 21:05Speaker 1: have written, but I wrote it for someone else. But
- 21:08Speaker 1: now I'm looking at it with a different settle lens.
- 21:10Speaker 1: And it feels good to go through this journey, you know.
- 21:14Speaker 1: And I've always talked about parenting yourself, so it's given
- 21:18Speaker 1: me another opportunity to go right back through it again.
- 21:22Speaker 1: And I'm enjoying this journey, and I'm enjoying watching you
- 21:26Speaker 1: all enjoy this journey and watching you go through the process.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Everyone that's going through this process, they're going through it
- 21:32Speaker 1: in a different way, and you all are sharing your
- 21:34Speaker 1: journey with the public. So I appreciate that. Thank you
- 21:38Speaker 1: so much for joining us. Tonight's your meeting. So excuse me.
- 21:48Speaker 3: You have a ship.
- 21:50Speaker 2: I would say this on the air while so everybody
- 21:52Speaker 2: here is it. You got to take care of yourself too,
- 21:54Speaker 2: Black Diamond. You gotta do it.
- 21:57Speaker 1: Everybody tells me that, and I'm going to Yeah, I mean,
- 22:02Speaker 1: run miles a minute.
- 22:03Speaker 2: We running miles a minute, trying to make sure that
- 22:05Speaker 2: we get everything out here, because we have so much
- 22:07Speaker 2: that we want to pour into the world, but we
- 22:09Speaker 2: have Just like I said it to myself, you have
- 22:12Speaker 2: to pour into you.
- 22:13Speaker 3: I'm the happiest I've been in my.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Whole life right now because every day to get to
- 22:20Speaker 2: that happy.
- 22:22Speaker 1: And I said, I'm going to take a step back,
- 22:24Speaker 1: but I know me. I'll say I'm want to take
- 22:26Speaker 1: a step back. I'm right back in it again. But
- 22:30Speaker 1: I'm hoping that this major move that I'm gonna make
- 22:33Speaker 1: will get me to happy, because just thinking about it,
- 22:37Speaker 1: I'm getting to happy. So I'm coming. I'm coming. I'll
- 22:41Speaker 1: let you know. That's what I said. The work book
- 22:43Speaker 1: is working for me as well. So Danny, wisdom is
- 22:47Speaker 1: gained over time and I get that and many parents
- 22:51Speaker 1: they can relate to me. However, during your journey, you
- 22:54Speaker 1: raised children in two different stages in your early twenties
- 22:59Speaker 1: and I know something about that with the church, and
- 23:02Speaker 1: also in your late thirties, so there's a gap between
- 23:05Speaker 1: your children. I guess how did you approach to parenting
- 23:11Speaker 1: evolving with age experience and maturity? Because I'm saying in
- 23:16Speaker 1: your twenties, there's one thing. Then when you get in
- 23:19Speaker 1: your thirties age experience and maturity, how did you approach
- 23:24Speaker 1: that parenting?
- 23:27Speaker 5: So that was a hard approach, it really was. I
- 23:33Speaker 5: know that my patience is a little, one little thing.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Now.
- 23:41Speaker 5: When I had my child later in life, in my thirties,
- 23:45Speaker 5: in my twenties, like Virtue was saying, I wasn't fully
- 23:50Speaker 5: developed like I was twenty two. So I'm trying to
- 23:55Speaker 5: figure out this parenting thing. And I'm a single I'm
- 23:59Speaker 5: a single parent. So now I'm trying to figure that out.
- 24:03Speaker 1: So I'm my mom.
- 24:04Speaker 4: I'm a single mom.
- 24:06Speaker 5: Trying to raise I had two children at the time,
- 24:10Speaker 5: and it was a challenge because there's no handbook for
- 24:14Speaker 5: parents even when you have children when you're older. So
- 24:19Speaker 5: I'm figuring out along the way. And then as I
- 24:23Speaker 5: got older. Now it's about thirteen years so kids are
- 24:26Speaker 5: in college, I mean, I'm sorry, high school.
- 24:29Speaker 4: And then I'm.
- 24:30Speaker 5: Thirty seven, I'm having another baby. So that was like, wait,
- 24:36Speaker 5: how am I going to do this? You know, that's
- 24:39Speaker 5: kind of a big gap, you know, what, how is
- 24:43Speaker 5: this going to work? Because like you said, it's a
- 24:45Speaker 5: totally what the generation of differences. But I learned I
- 24:54Speaker 5: was and I was still figuring out Danyelle, not Danny yet.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Still dan Yelle.
- 25:00Speaker 4: I'm I'm still faring out this parenting me because.
- 25:02Speaker 5: Now I thought I was done raising the children, and
- 25:05Speaker 5: here goes another child. And again the support of my family,
- 25:11Speaker 5: my faith in God.
- 25:14Speaker 4: He definitely has played a major role in my life.
- 25:18Speaker 4: I love God.
- 25:20Speaker 5: God is the center of my life, and I wouldn't
- 25:24Speaker 5: be where I'm at without him.
- 25:27Speaker 4: I went about the love of.
- 25:29Speaker 5: God, loving me despite my thoughts, loving me when I
- 25:34Speaker 5: wanted to turn the other way, loved me when I
- 25:37Speaker 5: said I can't raise these children.
- 25:38Speaker 4: It's just I just can't do it. And God was like,
- 25:41Speaker 4: I got you, and I got you from back then.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm going to throw intention to your way as well.
- 25:49Speaker 1: You wrote it moments for mom At what part it
- 25:58Speaker 1: was intentionally written for Danny and Danielle? What part in
- 26:03Speaker 1: that book was written for you?
- 26:07Speaker 4: What part?
- 26:15Speaker 6: Throw your curve balls in a minute, I know, right,
- 26:17Speaker 6: I got at the book. No, actually, I'm gonna have.
- 26:26Speaker 5: To say the whole chapter because again it was a
- 26:30Speaker 5: book where I had to be vulnerable and I had
- 26:33Speaker 5: to really step back and present myself and this is real,
- 26:40Speaker 5: like this isn't fiction, this isn't something made up, Like I'm.
- 26:45Speaker 4: Gonna be sharing my real life, my real truths, and.
- 26:50Speaker 5: That that chapter introduced Dan, Danny and Danielle. It's telling
- 26:56Speaker 5: people about who I am and whose I am.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Then you arrived, Yes, I love it. You arrived and
- 27:05Speaker 1: you're not going anywhere, and letting them know you are here,
- 27:09Speaker 1: you are here to stay. Yes, and I'm sorry, Hey,
- 27:15Speaker 1: nothing wrong with that. And I'm glad for you and
- 27:17Speaker 1: happy for you. And what I'm going to say is
- 27:19Speaker 1: welcome to any end. Yeah, yea yeah. Using relatorship or
- 27:28Speaker 1: using a coaching approach demonstrates the practical ways you left people.
- 27:33Speaker 1: You're known for helping others build their confidence and leadership skills.
- 27:37Speaker 1: What is your approach, Rachel, when empowering other people to
- 27:41Speaker 1: find their strengths and potential when they feel as though
- 27:44Speaker 1: that they are broken.
- 27:46Speaker 2: Mhm. I will say my first approach is for them
- 27:50Speaker 2: to take the opportunity to breathe, breathe through it. And
- 27:55Speaker 2: when you when you are when you say that you
- 27:58Speaker 2: are now ready for growth, understanding that you have to
- 28:02Speaker 2: learn who you are before you start growing. And the
- 28:07Speaker 2: first part of my coach, My coaching program is all
- 28:11Speaker 2: about self being self aware, being self assured, having self discipline,
- 28:17Speaker 2: self care, and just building up you.
- 28:20Speaker 3: Before we ever get into talking.
- 28:22Speaker 2: About your specific goals, your specific things you want to do,
- 28:26Speaker 2: because if you don't talk or develop the you, those
- 28:31Speaker 2: goals will go by the waste line because you'll still
- 28:34Speaker 2: be battling with things like limited beliefs, things in your life.
- 28:38Speaker 2: So when you're broken, I say, the first thing is
- 28:40Speaker 2: you have to first fix the broken youth and not
- 28:45Speaker 2: hold on to the broken youth. So let's sen let this.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say hold on to the broken. You
- 28:53Speaker 2: understand that you're broken, develop those those broke, the things
- 28:58Speaker 2: that broke your confidence in you or because a lot
- 29:02Speaker 2: of times when you're broken, it is because you're not
- 29:04Speaker 2: confident that you can handle a situation, or things in
- 29:09Speaker 2: your life have pushed you against the wall that make
- 29:12Speaker 2: you feel as if you cannot stand up.
- 29:17Speaker 3: Rely on you.
- 29:19Speaker 2: That's the first thing I say. Rely on the fact
- 29:21Speaker 2: that you are strong enough to get through it, because
- 29:23Speaker 2: you've gotten through it. Every time we relive those moments,
- 29:28Speaker 2: we make them new. I want to say. Every time
- 29:33Speaker 2: we go back in the past and we relive those
- 29:36Speaker 2: moments and make them present day thoughts, we bring the
- 29:42Speaker 2: pain back to the present.
- 29:45Speaker 1: Do you believe that some people hold on to that
- 29:48Speaker 1: brokenness because they're afraid to let it go that they know.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yes, ma'am, I really believe that, And I spoke on
- 29:57Speaker 2: this a little bit on Cash yesterday as well as
- 30:01Speaker 2: my radio show. What I said was this is that
- 30:04Speaker 2: we are comfortable with what we know. The future is unknown,
- 30:10Speaker 2: so you're uncomfortable to move forward, so you stay stuck
- 30:14Speaker 2: in the past because that is familiar. But trust me,
- 30:20Speaker 2: familiar will get you caught in a cycle that doesn't
- 30:25Speaker 2: allow you to find growth. So the only way to
- 30:29Speaker 2: find growth is sometimes. I think I said this on
- 30:33Speaker 2: on on on our show a couple of weeks ago,
- 30:38Speaker 2: because we're all it's almost time to do the show again.
- 30:41Speaker 3: This month is.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Flew by, But we can't wait for other people to
- 30:49Speaker 2: validate our pain or help us get through it. And
- 30:55Speaker 2: this is from the people from the past that might
- 30:58Speaker 2: have hurt us. Sometimes we're waiting for them to acknowledge
- 31:01Speaker 2: that they've done wrong or acknowledge that they they've heard
- 31:05Speaker 2: of us. The only person that needs to acknowledge your
- 31:08Speaker 2: pain is you. And then once you acknowledge it, it's
- 31:14Speaker 2: I have a thing I call fad or was it
- 31:16Speaker 2: within within my program, It's come and I named it
- 31:20Speaker 2: that way just because I tell people acknowledge it, debunk
- 31:24Speaker 2: that is real because remember, the past is over, it's
- 31:27Speaker 2: no longer realm elevator, elevate above it, and then reprogram
- 31:36Speaker 2: your mind to move forward. That's the the hardest one
- 31:40Speaker 2: out of it is the r reprogram, because you program
- 31:45Speaker 2: yourself as you're no longer a victim. You are a survivor.
- 31:49Speaker 2: And once you are no longer a victim, you're not
- 31:52Speaker 2: holding onto the victim mentality. You don't have to prove
- 31:55Speaker 2: that it happened to you. You don't have to prove
- 31:57Speaker 2: that you're over it. You are just now proving that
- 32:00Speaker 2: it happened is over. You have survived it, and now
- 32:05Speaker 2: you're ready to thrive. But you have to hear over
- 32:08Speaker 2: being a victim. You have to let go of being
- 32:10Speaker 2: a victim. And sometimes people want to be a victim
- 32:13Speaker 2: because that's the way of getting simple, that's.
- 32:15Speaker 1: Their comfort zone. Yeah. Yeah, you is saying that she's
- 32:20Speaker 1: working on it. Now you all are hearing what leadership coach.
- 32:24Speaker 1: You know, I take that back, intention leadership. That's what
- 32:30Speaker 1: intentional leadership coach. It's and you really want to hear
- 32:36Speaker 1: what she has to say. Go out on June fifteenth
- 32:40Speaker 1: in Chicago, Illinois, from two to six pm. Get your
- 32:44Speaker 1: ticket now, because she's gonna be there. And if you
- 32:47Speaker 1: just hear and just listen, you see here just for
- 32:49Speaker 1: forty five minutes, could you imagine what she's going to
- 32:52Speaker 1: do on that date? And you get ready. I'm ready
- 32:57Speaker 1: to get your things. Are they ready?
- 33:01Speaker 2: But they better get ready. If you're not ready, get ready.
- 33:06Speaker 2: You don't need you don't need your your paper, yours
- 33:09Speaker 2: need you. I'm gonna supply everything else.
- 33:12Speaker 1: There you go, Danny, You inspire and I hear somebody
- 33:15Speaker 1: in here saying that welcome Danny, Welcome Dad, y'all, Yes, yes, Danny,
- 33:22Speaker 1: and welcome Dan yell. So you see, y'all, y'all are
- 33:24Speaker 1: bringing out a lot tonight, all the people.
- 33:28Speaker 3: There we go.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Danny, you inspired me with your talk about entrepreneurship, faith
- 33:33Speaker 1: and vision. You mentioned wanting to leave a legacy that
- 33:37Speaker 1: your children can be proud of. I think they're proud
- 33:40Speaker 1: of you already. What does legacy look like to you today?
- 33:43Speaker 1: And how are you actively building it?
- 33:48Speaker 4: Well, I'm still I want to say I'm still building it.
- 33:52Speaker 1: I'm still.
- 33:56Speaker 5: Because I'm still finding me, So I believe it's an
- 34:01Speaker 5: ongoing process. Because now that I've reflected on my past
- 34:09Speaker 5: and now left that in the past, and now that
- 34:12Speaker 5: I'm moving forward, I'm re establishing Danny and I'm re
- 34:18Speaker 5: establishing that legacy.
- 34:21Speaker 4: And so it's not done. I wouldn't.
- 34:26Speaker 5: I'm not going to say it's even complete, because I'm
- 34:28Speaker 5: still adding to it.
- 34:30Speaker 1: I'm still What's so amazing about it. What's so amazing
- 34:36Speaker 1: about it is that your children are watching you, yes,
- 34:39Speaker 1: go through that journey. And that's the amazing part of this.
- 34:44Speaker 1: That they're watching you. They'll see, whether they want to say, Danny, Danielle,
- 34:48Speaker 1: mom or whatever, they are seeing you go through that,
- 34:53Speaker 1: seeing the growth, and they're knowing that they can do
- 34:56Speaker 1: this too. So I know, I don't know your children,
- 34:58Speaker 1: but I'm quite sure that they uh very much so
- 35:02Speaker 1: proud of you. Yes, Rachel. The Distinguished Author's Guilt Dad
- 35:09Speaker 1: was under the leadership of Gina Katson sheds light and
- 35:13Speaker 1: involvement with the organization that extends into community advocacy and
- 35:18Speaker 1: why that work matters as a dad ambassador, She's an ambassador.
- 35:23Speaker 1: Now you hold a intentional leadership type that not everyone
- 35:30Speaker 1: may know about it. Can you explain what Dago up
- 35:39Speaker 1: and tells him why that role is important to your legacy.
- 35:43Speaker 2: So DAG Distinguished Author's Guild, let me let me first
- 35:47Speaker 2: and foremost say it is a group of amazing, amazing authors,
- 35:53Speaker 2: award winning authors, of nominated authors. And I have happened
- 35:57Speaker 2: to be an ambassador. I have the privilege to be
- 36:00Speaker 2: an ambassador. And as an ambassador, we are supporting everyone,
- 36:05Speaker 2: every single person who is an author within DAG. Can
- 36:11Speaker 2: we we talk about Dag's Group. We bring them on podcasts,
- 36:15Speaker 2: we took we we we we put out their information.
- 36:19Speaker 2: We we are not just as an author myself, I'm
- 36:23Speaker 2: not just promoting me. I promote every single author on
- 36:27Speaker 2: my radio show Wake Up CEO. There have been two
- 36:30Speaker 2: authors who have come on the show, as well as
- 36:34Speaker 2: doctor Carolyn Stevens, which is the creative director for a
- 36:38Speaker 2: Distinguished Author's Guild. I was I was honored to be asked,
- 36:43Speaker 2: and I was already before I was even asked, I
- 36:46Speaker 2: had already started helping the Distinguished Author's Guilt behind the
- 36:49Speaker 2: scenes and the first my first order of business was
- 36:54Speaker 2: to get.
- 36:54Speaker 3: A website for for the authors.
- 36:57Speaker 2: So I talked to my one of my i' mint teas,
- 37:00Speaker 2: which is now one of my creative He is my
- 37:05Speaker 2: graphic designer. I had him create a rep website because
- 37:10Speaker 2: to me, when you are looking to help someone grow,
- 37:14Speaker 2: you help someone grow, you don't talk about it. I
- 37:17Speaker 2: want to be the change I want to see in
- 37:19Speaker 2: the world, not talk about the change I want to
- 37:22Speaker 2: see in the world.
- 37:24Speaker 1: And I'm gonna have to start charging doers for this.
- 37:26Speaker 1: This shew tonight a lot of information. So I got
- 37:30Speaker 1: a feeling we got have to put a little thing
- 37:31Speaker 1: on the side of blue buttons. Let me know you
- 37:35Speaker 1: want to do watch it in the rerun. You're gonna
- 37:38Speaker 1: have to pay for that, because hey, a mount of
- 37:42Speaker 1: times times you must mind. You can look look who
- 37:47Speaker 1: I have on my show tonight. So yes, I think
- 37:50Speaker 1: that I should have did that before the show even started.
- 37:55Speaker 1: But it's not too late for anybody that wants to
- 37:59Speaker 1: join and put the book in with Dad, because you
- 38:02Speaker 1: have a few more weeks.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Yes, you have an exactly exactly to the first I
- 38:06Speaker 2: think it's the first week of June to put your
- 38:09Speaker 2: book in. If the Lincoln is not present currently, we
- 38:13Speaker 2: will make sure that the link is out. But what
- 38:15Speaker 2: you can go to right now is Distinguished Authors gild
- 38:18Speaker 2: Facebook page. Once you go to the page, the link
- 38:21Speaker 2: is right there for you. Uh. And in the next
- 38:23Speaker 2: couple of weeks that it will be live on the
- 38:27Speaker 2: on the web. We're gonna get that website up and running.
- 38:30Speaker 2: There's a There was a lot of moving pieces, but
- 38:32Speaker 2: at the end of the day, we are all working
- 38:34Speaker 2: tours as ambassadors to help authors find success with their books.
- 38:39Speaker 2: You poured out your heart to get the book written,
- 38:43Speaker 2: get the book published, and you're trying to get that
- 38:46Speaker 2: book monetized. I want to say something. Authors that are
- 38:52Speaker 2: listening are inspiring authors who who are looking to be authors.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Your book is a bit treated as such. When you
- 39:03Speaker 2: are the CEO of your life, you're the CEO of
- 39:06Speaker 2: every component of it. If you are looking for your book,
- 39:09Speaker 2: those words, of those words that can play, they came
- 39:12Speaker 2: from you and pour it onto those pages, and you're
- 39:15Speaker 2: looking for them to reach other people. Market, market, promote, promote, promote,
- 39:21Speaker 2: and did I say it promote Because the only way,
- 39:26Speaker 2: the only way your book gets out there without being
- 39:29Speaker 2: lost in the sixty million books that are that are
- 39:32Speaker 2: out there, is.
- 39:33Speaker 3: That you must be the voice for your book. No
- 39:36Speaker 3: one knows it better than you. So I on this show.
- 39:41Speaker 2: I will say this, if you are looking for a platform,
- 39:46Speaker 2: go to Distinguished Author's Guild. They don't they not only
- 39:49Speaker 2: do they celebrate literary excellence with an award, they help
- 39:53Speaker 2: you grow your brand.
- 39:55Speaker 3: That is what is about at the end of the day, growing,
- 39:57Speaker 3: growing the brand, brand of your book.
- 40:01Speaker 2: And I have been honored with every member of the
- 40:04Speaker 2: Stinguish Author's Guild from every ambassador. They share my quotes,
- 40:08Speaker 2: they share my lives, they they support. The first day
- 40:13Speaker 2: I went live on the air of radio, every ambassador
- 40:17Speaker 2: was on either a live chat or was actually on
- 40:20Speaker 2: the radio. That's the type of support we do. But
- 40:23Speaker 2: hold on, let's let's let's not leave out. We talked
- 40:26Speaker 2: about the singers give, but let's not leave out Triple A,
- 40:29Speaker 2: LA C. We don't want to leave them out either.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Support is there as well, Support with resources, support with information,
- 40:37Speaker 2: support with places for you to get out there and market, promote, promote, promote,
- 40:43Speaker 2: And I gotta say it again, did I say it?
- 40:45Speaker 3: Promote?
- 40:46Speaker 1: It's your business. It's the broader impact of literacy and representing.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Representation reveals the passion and purpose. So you are a
- 40:56Speaker 1: member of the African American Authors Literary where this campaign,
- 41:00Speaker 1: which is ILAC underneath, Miss Angela Thomas, Why is promoting
- 41:05Speaker 1: literacy and authorship in the African American community so important
- 41:09Speaker 1: to you?
- 41:10Speaker 3: And how has.
- 41:11Speaker 1: ALAC influenced your journey and does it align with your mission?
- 41:16Speaker 1: But before you answer that question, I want to give
- 41:19Speaker 1: a shout out to a few people who are here tonight.
- 41:22Speaker 1: And that's some of the DAG sisters and brothers. That's here.
- 41:26Speaker 1: And we got Farren who's put up the link for DAG.
- 41:30Speaker 1: We have Cheryn Baldlin, Northern Legrand. She says. Also, my
- 41:34Speaker 1: beautiful ladies, we got the founding sponsors, saying that part
- 41:39Speaker 1: we have Aspiring Author's magazine saying that part we got
- 41:44Speaker 1: d D. You are being an example and a leader.
- 41:46Speaker 1: She's saying, founding sponsors property to the grief. Oh my gosh,
- 41:52Speaker 1: you got so many people one saying these things to you, ladies,
- 41:56Speaker 1: get your books. They're staying to people. Healing Voice is
- 42:00Speaker 1: navigating get your book. We got show again saying you
- 42:06Speaker 1: better say it. And I'm just saying them just reading
- 42:10Speaker 1: it and it's just going through it and says from
- 42:12Speaker 1: Tremaine Thaccent, we need to take care of ourselves. Others
- 42:16Speaker 1: may depend on us, and yes, that is definitely true.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Show.
- 42:20Speaker 1: She's trying to get there, so we're am trying to
- 42:22Speaker 1: figure out where's where's there for her so we can
- 42:25Speaker 1: help her get there. Okay. So that's what we're going
- 42:27Speaker 1: through for you. Show. We don't know where there is yet,
- 42:30Speaker 1: but we want to find out from you where is
- 42:32Speaker 1: it that you want to go so we can help
- 42:34Speaker 1: you get there. Okay. So this is where we're at
- 42:38Speaker 1: with everything. Hey, Patrice, thank you so much for coming in.
- 42:42Speaker 1: So you just have you have everybody that's here to
- 42:47Speaker 1: support one another because I recognize these names and what
- 42:51Speaker 1: everybody is doing. But getting back to you, I would
- 42:54Speaker 1: like to know what is your approach within you're going
- 43:02Speaker 1: through the island. How has ILAC influenced your journey? How
- 43:06Speaker 1: does it align with your mission?
- 43:09Speaker 2: I would say this. I want to say Queen Angela
- 43:13Speaker 2: is phenomenal. She puts so many resources together. She is
- 43:19Speaker 2: always so I mean five o'clock in the morning, she's
- 43:23Speaker 2: on the prayer line. I'm getting emails at five fifteen,
- 43:26Speaker 2: five point thirty, we're talking at six am. What I
- 43:30Speaker 2: will say is that the support of growth, the support
- 43:38Speaker 2: of not only growing the brand but also growing individuals
- 43:44Speaker 2: within that brand, because sometimes when you when you run
- 43:47Speaker 2: in an organization, you don't have time to help people
- 43:51Speaker 2: go up.
- 43:52Speaker 3: You don't have time people is to help people find
- 43:55Speaker 3: their voice. All I hear Angela do.
- 43:58Speaker 2: Is put out there how for us to find our voice,
- 44:01Speaker 2: how to support each other, how to like posts, how
- 44:04Speaker 2: to get that algorithm going about the forty four people
- 44:09Speaker 2: in there. That this tells you how much I look
- 44:11Speaker 2: at those posts that she puts in there, because I
- 44:12Speaker 2: know how many members are part of the group, because
- 44:15Speaker 2: I'm watching, because she's intentional about our growth, and when
- 44:22Speaker 2: you have people that are intentional about your growth, you're
- 44:24Speaker 2: intentionally gonna help them grow. I called Angela when she
- 44:28Speaker 2: said she was coming to Chicago, and we talked about
- 44:31Speaker 2: some things to help market the authors. I called doctor
- 44:34Speaker 2: Carolyn Stevens and said the same thing. I said, what
- 44:37Speaker 2: can we do because I don't want I want. I
- 44:39Speaker 2: love the support, ladies. I love the support of coming
- 44:41Speaker 2: to Chicago and supporting me, but I am a person
- 44:44Speaker 2: who supports as well. So I wanted to make sure
- 44:47Speaker 2: that when they came here that there was an opportunity
- 44:50Speaker 2: for them to sell books one more time. Promote, promote, promote,
- 44:53Speaker 2: and then promote again. That is what I'm about. I
- 44:56Speaker 2: want I want success for them.
- 44:58Speaker 1: That's an intentional part her. I've been telling you all
- 45:01Speaker 1: about tonight. Somebody mentioned here that we need to take
- 45:05Speaker 1: care of ourselves and that goes for you too, Angela.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Take care of yourself because others may depend on you. Okay,
- 45:13Speaker 1: take care of yourself as well. I know what Rachel
- 45:16Speaker 1: is talking about. I've seen your work and I've had
- 45:19Speaker 1: conversations with you, and I don't think that I'm the
- 45:21Speaker 1: only one that had that kind of conversation with you. Danny.
- 45:24Speaker 1: We all know that self care and realistic reflections are important.
- 45:31Speaker 1: You once said, motherhood is a twenty four to seven row,
- 45:35Speaker 1: like a nine one one operator. If you are or
- 45:40Speaker 1: parent and you know exactly what it is, what we're
- 45:43Speaker 1: talking about, how is it align and how are you
- 45:47Speaker 1: caring for yourself by constantly pouring into your children? Because
- 45:52Speaker 1: it is like a nine one one operator, It is
- 45:54Speaker 1: a twenty four hour, seven days a week. I'm almost
- 45:57Speaker 1: believing that it there is an eighth day in the
- 45:58Speaker 1: week because quick, you know here it is Sunday, and
- 46:03Speaker 1: then by the time you get this Saturday. It's like
- 46:06Speaker 1: you see in double I just saw myself past. Myself
- 46:09Speaker 1: is eight days. I don't know anybody else is saying
- 46:11Speaker 1: it's eight days in the week. And how y'all can
- 46:14Speaker 1: try to have me committed if you want to, y'all
- 46:16Speaker 1: gonna see it too. How does it alignment how you're
- 46:22Speaker 1: pouring into your children. So it is.
- 46:29Speaker 5: Like I said earlier, there is no handbook for parenting.
- 46:34Speaker 5: It took a while to even realize to take care
- 46:39Speaker 5: of myself because.
- 46:41Speaker 4: The children do require your time.
- 46:44Speaker 5: I mean your time, your money, you're working, you're you're
- 46:50Speaker 5: trying to do after school activities, trying to spend time
- 46:54Speaker 5: on weekend. But again I had to find self time
- 47:02Speaker 5: for self care and I just and I demand it.
- 47:05Speaker 5: Like it's like now I'm taking this time for me.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Okay, Danny talking about Danielle talking about saying she demanding stuff.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Both you came on with Danielle, but now look at her.
- 47:18Speaker 4: I need you. I demanded Now I demanded.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Because I know I had on my show before. This
- 47:30Speaker 1: is not her first go round. I didn't hear this
- 47:33Speaker 1: Danny person. Yeah I'm here and Danny and.
- 47:36Speaker 5: Scared you.
- 47:39Speaker 1: Who she is?
- 47:40Speaker 5: Yeah, time to grow. I've had time to grow, I
- 47:44Speaker 5: had time to reflect, I've had time to have self care,
- 47:48Speaker 5: to reflect. It's important that it's it's just really important
- 47:55Speaker 5: that I'm older. I'm really realizing that I have to
- 47:59Speaker 5: take care me and I have to set boundaries.
- 48:02Speaker 4: Rachel shared that earlier, like you, you got to just
- 48:05Speaker 4: set some boundaries like this is what it is. And
- 48:09Speaker 4: I got to take care of myself.
- 48:11Speaker 1: And you inspire others who may be holding on to
- 48:14Speaker 1: faith while working hard. And faith is an action word.
- 48:19Speaker 1: What does that look like in your daily life as
- 48:21Speaker 1: a woman of faith, a mother, and in your experience
- 48:24Speaker 1: as a business woman.
- 48:28Speaker 5: So it hasn't always come easy. So I have had
- 48:34Speaker 5: wavering faith, and I'm gonna be honest about that. But
- 48:39Speaker 5: I've been learning to stay before God for everything and
- 48:45Speaker 5: ask him, Lord, what does.
- 48:46Speaker 1: It you need me to do?
- 48:47Speaker 5: What is it that I can do better that I
- 48:51Speaker 5: can be a help for others, to my children, for
- 48:55Speaker 5: other people that I'm coming into contact with that maybe
- 48:58Speaker 5: want to learn about how to be an author, or
- 49:02Speaker 5: that I meet at work. So faith is action, like
- 49:06Speaker 5: it says in about of faith without works is dead.
- 49:09Speaker 5: And I truly believe that and that's one of the
- 49:12Speaker 5: mantras I stand with. You know, I have to put
- 49:15Speaker 5: my faith into action, and I had so people can
- 49:18Speaker 5: see Daniel's got the faith, and Daniel's moving Forore and
- 49:21Speaker 5: Dan He's not giving up.
- 49:23Speaker 4: So that's how I'm moving forward.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Now, Rachel, I've seen your energy, and I know they've
- 49:30Speaker 1: seen it here Tonight's exuberates. Please share where your energy
- 49:37Speaker 1: comes from and lessons from collaborating with other authors. Now
- 49:41Speaker 1: I told you I've been keeping an eye on you.
- 49:44Speaker 1: You recently participated in the original Chasing Your Dream book
- 49:49Speaker 1: tour and literary expot with one hundred authors. What was
- 49:53Speaker 1: it like to be part of such a huge gathering
- 49:55Speaker 1: of writers and what did you take away from that experience?
- 50:00Speaker 2: Okay, let's we'll start with question one. So, so, what
- 50:05Speaker 2: was the first question. I want to make sure I
- 50:07Speaker 2: get you all your answers.
- 50:10Speaker 1: I want you to share with you who comes from.
- 50:16Speaker 3: I'll say this, every day I meditate. I have a regimen.
- 50:19Speaker 3: I am grateful every day. Before I go there's gonna
- 50:23Speaker 3: be a little tea of mine. I go to the restroom.
- 50:25Speaker 2: Then I wash my hands, Then I before I brust
- 50:29Speaker 2: my teeth, I put on my border gratitude. What I'm
- 50:32Speaker 2: grateful for today, because every single day you must lead
- 50:36Speaker 2: your life with gratitude. You cannot live in whatever you
- 50:41Speaker 2: believe you're lacking. What are you grateful for today? But
- 50:44Speaker 2: sometimes my gratitude, my gratitude board has love, abundance, patience, breathing,
- 50:53Speaker 2: and and and it'll be showing and just love because
- 50:57Speaker 2: I love me always. I I know it sounds selfish,
- 51:02Speaker 2: but I wanted someone to just just listen a little
- 51:03Speaker 2: part here. If you are not selfish with you, you
- 51:07Speaker 2: can't be selfless. Yourself is still in it. So I've
- 51:13Speaker 2: learned to build me. So after I do my gratitude,
- 51:17Speaker 2: I do an affirmation on my calendar that my wife
- 51:20Speaker 2: and I signed off on. We signed off on being
- 51:22Speaker 2: millionaires and moving accordingly.
- 51:24Speaker 3: Every day. Then I meditate.
- 51:27Speaker 2: I meditate for when I very first started, and meditation
- 51:31Speaker 2: for me was being able to get in tune with
- 51:34Speaker 2: myself and listen to God pour into me. And God
- 51:41Speaker 2: is in everything and in me. So I asked a question,
- 51:45Speaker 2: a simple question, and I meditate for fifteen to twenty
- 51:49Speaker 2: minutes every single day, and I ponder that question.
- 51:53Speaker 3: I don't look for the answer. I allow of answers
- 51:55Speaker 3: to come to me.
- 51:57Speaker 2: I am always afterwards, I say thank you, write, I
- 52:02Speaker 2: write down my thoughts from that meditation because I'm always looking.
- 52:06Speaker 3: That's how I pour into me. I on a everyday basis,
- 52:10Speaker 3: I listened to at least one hour day.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Of only motivational music podcasts or books own.
- 52:19Speaker 1: So you participated in the original Chasing Your Dream book tour?
- 52:24Speaker 1: What was that like to be a part of such
- 52:26Speaker 1: a huge gathering.
- 52:28Speaker 3: The biggest thing was was a support. Support support support.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Everyone was extremely supportive when I came in the room,
- 52:36Speaker 2: when we started talking and just hearing everyone's story that
- 52:42Speaker 2: that allows.
- 52:43Speaker 3: You to feel the energy of connection, that moment of
- 52:47Speaker 3: connection when I would actually hugged Angela.
- 52:50Speaker 2: As I talked to Angela a lot, talk her online,
- 52:52Speaker 2: talk to on emails, were talking and the hugger in person,
- 52:56Speaker 2: and the first thing I said is I came to
- 52:58Speaker 2: see you. I wanted to see her in person because
- 53:02Speaker 2: I wanted to tell her in person she's not alone
- 53:05Speaker 2: and stop acting as if she's alone.
- 53:07Speaker 4: Stop working alone, work work team.
- 53:12Speaker 1: So I'm gonna keep saying it. I hope she's hearing this.
- 53:21Speaker 3: If she's not listening, I'll say we'll say. I'll say
- 53:23Speaker 3: it again when I talk to her.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Soon this tape. She's listening.
- 53:30Speaker 2: Because you created yeah, I mean yeah, she created an organization.
- 53:38Speaker 2: Now let the support come in. I think I always
- 53:42Speaker 2: believe that everyone comes into your life for seasons reasons
- 53:44Speaker 2: and comes here to meet you for her purpose. I
- 53:47Speaker 2: have growth, i have leadership, I have organizational skills. I'm
- 53:51Speaker 2: here to help. So when I call her on the
- 53:54Speaker 2: phone to say I'm here to help, what do you need?
- 53:57Speaker 3: What do you need? I'm here. I'm not I'm I'm
- 54:00Speaker 3: not one of these people who lends out the hand
- 54:03Speaker 3: and says I'm a help. But I'm not. So I
- 54:08Speaker 3: call reinforcements.
- 54:10Speaker 2: After I call reinforcements, after I called talked to her,
- 54:13Speaker 2: I talked to doctor Stevens. Asked her to get some assistance,
- 54:16Speaker 2: give me some information, let's go, how do we move forward?
- 54:20Speaker 2: Because you can do you can do, you can do
- 54:22Speaker 2: something good by yourself, you can do something extraordinary with
- 54:26Speaker 2: a team.
- 54:28Speaker 1: But she's listening because saying, coach Rach, you got in
- 54:33Speaker 1: front of it.
- 54:34Speaker 3: Though she has a new title.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Coach Rache.
- 54:40Speaker 3: Okay, but that's what I got from being at the event.
- 54:45Speaker 2: The camaraderie, the opportunity to just hugger and say that
- 54:48Speaker 2: in her ear that she's not even when you.
- 54:52Speaker 1: Join this organization, that's what you get. That's what you're
- 54:56Speaker 1: gonna get when you join.
- 54:59Speaker 3: That's the same thing.
- 55:01Speaker 1: This is a family, and if you want to join,
- 55:04Speaker 1: you can. When we're not going to sit in and say,
- 55:07Speaker 1: oh no, you don't qualify, you do qualify, Just join. So, Rachel,
- 55:13Speaker 1: I mean, Danny, you created a deeply emotional spiritual moment
- 55:17Speaker 1: for all listeners. When you hit low points, you turn
- 55:20Speaker 1: to prayer, scripture, or worship. What's one moment when God's
- 55:25Speaker 1: presence sustain you through a difficult time in motherhood or life?
- 55:32Speaker 4: Hmmm, one times, so many?
- 55:40Speaker 1: What stands out to you the most?
- 55:42Speaker 4: What stands out to me the most? Wow, that's a
- 55:48Speaker 4: loaded question here.
- 55:50Speaker 3: I'll make for you this way.
- 55:52Speaker 1: What message or lesson from God do you hope pour
- 55:55Speaker 1: it into you?
- 55:56Speaker 4: Gotcha?
- 55:57Speaker 5: So I would have to say say, I keep hearing
- 56:04Speaker 5: God say you are enough, and you're enough because I
- 56:09Speaker 5: created you to be enough. And so I again I'm
- 56:17Speaker 5: going back to Rachel early on because she said it's
- 56:19Speaker 5: the mindset.
- 56:21Speaker 4: It's a lot of things are in our minds that.
- 56:26Speaker 5: Hinders us from moving forward or hinders us from our greatness,
- 56:30Speaker 5: and we have to change the way we think.
- 56:33Speaker 4: So in my in me reflecting again and changing the mindset.
- 56:42Speaker 5: And realizing I am enough because that's what God made
- 56:46Speaker 5: me to be. Now I am aware that that's that's
- 56:51Speaker 5: all I need. If God says I'm enough.
- 56:53Speaker 4: Then I'm enough.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Yeah, So what that's I want you, Danny, to come
- 56:58Speaker 1: full circle to speak directly to our audience and our
- 57:01Speaker 1: listeners with encouragement. You ended your chapter with a powerful
- 57:05Speaker 1: message for all types of mothers, single, married forster and
- 57:11Speaker 1: grandmothers and so on and so forth. What would you
- 57:14Speaker 1: say to the woman listening right now who feels like
- 57:18Speaker 1: she's not enough?
- 57:22Speaker 5: I would say, give yourself some grace, give yourself grace
- 57:29Speaker 5: and realize that you are still growing.
- 57:33Speaker 4: I mean we're older, like I'm older, but I'm still growing.
- 57:37Speaker 5: And for me, my faith in God is what keeps
- 57:44Speaker 5: me going because I know, no matter what, God's going
- 57:47Speaker 5: to be there for me. God's never going to turn
- 57:49Speaker 5: this back on me. And again that's going back to
- 57:53Speaker 5: I'm enough. You are enough, Allow yourself, take care of yourself.
- 57:59Speaker 5: I think we tell talk about this most of it
- 58:01Speaker 5: a lot of times throughout that self care is so
- 58:05Speaker 5: important because you can't take care if you not take
- 58:08Speaker 5: care of yourself, help you take care of someone else.
- 58:11Speaker 4: So definitely allow of time and demand that you have.
- 58:16Speaker 4: Demand your time.
- 58:17Speaker 5: What reclaim your time, Demand your time, demand your self care.
- 58:26Speaker 1: Ddy is saying that she has to tell herself that daily,
- 58:29Speaker 1: that she is enough that she has to tell herself that. So, Rachel,
- 58:34Speaker 1: for listeners who are facing challenges like the ones you
- 58:38Speaker 1: want space, what message or advice would you shared to
- 58:41Speaker 1: help them pursue their dreams and achieve their own six
- 58:45Speaker 1: figure success? And I have to get in on that too,
- 58:49Speaker 1: me too, So I'm gonna start here, be in the room.
- 58:54Speaker 1: June fifteenth.
- 58:57Speaker 2: My book, the book Launch Immersive Vent. It's called hashtag
- 59:03Speaker 2: poverty from six figures. It takes you from a six
- 59:06Speaker 2: figure a poverty mindset because poverty is not a money amount,
- 59:10Speaker 2: it's a mindset. You could be a millionaire and have
- 59:12Speaker 2: a poverty mindset that will take you from a million
- 59:16Speaker 2: to zero. So it builds your mindset that is needed
- 59:19Speaker 2: to grow. And I know one thing you guys noticed
- 59:22Speaker 2: that everything about me is mindset because your mindset allows.
- 59:26Speaker 3: You to grow. It gives you the growth that is
- 59:29Speaker 3: needed for your success. How you grow, change what you're thinking.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Get rid of.
- 59:34Speaker 2: As one of my favorite mentor says, stinking thinking will
- 59:38Speaker 2: keep you stuck. So the first thing is, let's get
- 59:42Speaker 2: the positive mindset. Knows as Danny said, No, you are enough.
- 59:48Speaker 2: You are divinely created to be the perfect person that
- 59:51Speaker 2: you are. Every challenge that you faced, everything that you've
- 59:55Speaker 2: gone through has made you the perfect version of you.
- 59:58Speaker 3: There's no one like you. There's there's nothing.
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: You can look in the mirror, and that person in
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: the mirror is different than a person that looks back
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: because you learn something when you look in the mirror.
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: So that means that you your reflection is reflecting something old.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: Think about that, when you even look in the mirror,
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: you're reflecting the past because the president you has just
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: learned something new about. So what I will say is
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: you stay staying focused on your dreams and your desires
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: and taking a dream into a gold plan and be
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: intentional about your actions. Know that you are enough, Know
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: that you have enough, and what you don't know right
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: now start learning. Will you make your listen when you
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: when you want to grow, you make the listen to
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: what you do know and what you don't know. Start
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: with what you do know, and grow to what you
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: don't know because you don't because and get assistance when needed.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: I don't say it just because of a coach. I'm
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: saying that speaking to another individual allows you to find success.
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: My mentor is doctor, so I speak to her on
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: a regular about things that are for my growth, for
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: the next level of my growth.
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: And I know there's other.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: People on the pedal who are who have had some
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: of the similar conversations I have with Will you have
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: those conversations of in depth knowledge and growth. If your
- 1:01:17Speaker 2: coach doesn't have a coach, you got the wrong coach
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: because your coach can't pour see if they're not as
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: long as you want to pour it to them.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: She's not just dropping nuggets. There's spicy nuggets. So when
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: they start coming down, grabbing them, throw them in the
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: basket because they're gonna be too hot to handle. Because
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: she's hot tonight. My lady's hot tonight. So this is
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: where we're at. Looking at everything you've accomplished in the
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: communities you've touched, Ladies, what do you hope your journey
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: teaches others about what's possible in life. And then we're
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: gonna wrap that up after this. Give me something quick.
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: Anything is possible. I got a T shirt that says that.
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Anyway, it's funny you say that. My T shirt says
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: I'm possible. The word impossible does not exist. The word
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: says I'm possible.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: That is what it is.
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: I'm I'm possible. I'm possible. The name of my academy,
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: how you find me in any way? Say I am.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: Possible dot com, w w SA, i am possible dot com.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: That's where my academy is, my books are, my vinsar,
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: everything is Because the word impossible doesn't exist, it says
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: I'm possible.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: On that note, Danny, how could they reach out to you?
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: Want to give them some information? Yeah? Reach out to you.
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: So I'm on Facebook at Danny Nicole and Danny the
- 1:02:48Speaker 5: Cold the Author, I'm on Instagram at Danny the Coole
- 1:02:52Speaker 5: the Author, and in my website is www dot Danny
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: Nicole the Author dot com.
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: So what a what a powerful conversation tonight when intentional
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: coach Rachel and Danny see I canna say, Dan, you
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: gonna say, Danny, two women walking in purpose, leading with
