- 0:18I heard the starters. I broke the sky, chased a shadow
- 0:28through the night. Every heartbeat, every truth, I
- 0:42called my soul to carry you. I would have died for you.
- 0:51You by the world to see through. Well hello ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:06my name is Brett King from GOD TV Radio.
- 1:09I hope you're all having a wonderful day.
- 1:12My wife is having her birthday today and my birthday will be
- 1:17coming in December, Christmas. Oh goodness gracious, did it
- 1:22have to be? Well, I guess I figured I would
- 1:26share the story of how me and my wife met and talked about it a
- 1:30long time ago, but I'll share again.
- 1:34So I was visiting my mother and I decided that I was going to
- 1:42take a trip into town. And it's I'm not going to tell
- 1:48you what town I met her in or whatever.
- 1:50But what happened was I went to town and walked around and
- 1:58eventually I came around this corner and I seen this beautiful
- 2:02woman that was sitting up on a balcony with her friend.
- 2:07I recognized her friend because her friend was used to go to
- 2:11school with me. I had been out of high school
- 2:15for a little bit, but I still remembered some of the people
- 2:17that I had hung out with and well, it turned out after I got
- 2:24to talking to them both that the girl was actually a step sister,
- 2:30not actually a friend at all, of Dawn.
- 2:35Well, I seen her up on the balcony.
- 2:36She had pretty brown hair, beautiful body, beautiful little
- 2:40face, and I basically convinced her to let me come up there.
- 2:46We were total strangers, but she liked me and I liked her and
- 2:53well, we ended up talking and everything like that and I found
- 2:58out that she was having a tough time.
- 3:01She had moved out of her father's home and he was hooked
- 3:05up with her stepmother and she didn't get along with step
- 3:09stepmother too well. So we ended up talking about
- 3:14that and she said I'm kind of in a bind.
- 3:19And I said, what's the bind? She goes, well, I don't have a
- 3:23vehicle and my job is way beyond walking distance.
- 3:29And I told her, I said, well, I have an apartment, I have a
- 3:33place, and if you want to, you can come live with me.
- 3:38And she was like, really? And I said she was, why would
- 3:42you do that for me? And I said, well, you're the
- 3:45most beautiful woman I've ever seen, so it would be foolish of
- 3:50me to not invite you, especially since you're having all this
- 3:53trouble. So do you want to, you know, be
- 3:59in a relationship and live with me and all that kind of stuff?
- 4:03I had went back and forth to her place for the last two weeks and
- 4:09all that. It wasn't just right.
- 4:11The same are on the first day that I offered all this, but she
- 4:17said yes and packed her stuff and we ended up bringing her
- 4:22into my town where I lived and we pretty much lived happily
- 4:29ever after. We enjoyed each other's company,
- 4:33we treated each other like friends.
- 4:36And eventually we would get married and we had two children.
- 4:40We've got a son who is now almost 30 years old.
- 4:44We've got a daughter who's a little over 20 years old.
- 4:47And my kids are beautiful. They look just like their mother
- 4:52and I'm glad they didn't pick up any of my looks or they would
- 4:56have been in trouble in life. But they're both attractive kids
- 5:01and they're both extremely intelligent.
- 5:04They obviously got that from their mother as well.
- 5:09And I've always been proud of her.
- 5:12She's always had my back. She's always been loyal,
- 5:17trustworthy, good, kind, big heart.
- 5:22The only thing that I always I've always had an issue with
- 5:26was how her family didn't seem to be wanting to be involved
- 5:31with her. Me and her had a lot of things
- 5:33we could identify with. I had a lot of family besides my
- 5:37brother and sister who didn't want to be involved, didn't want
- 5:40to talk or associate or anything like that.
- 5:44It was nothing like the nuclear families that I stand for.
- 5:48I think that family should be together and they should connect
- 5:52with each other and they should love each other.
- 5:57But I didn't come from a family like that and neither did my
- 6:00wife. But as a mother and father, as
- 6:05husband and wife, we gave our kids every opportunity they
- 6:09could possibly have. And we stayed together through
- 6:12thick and thin and we raised our kids well and we're very proud
- 6:18of our children. I'm proud of my wife for all the
- 6:20success and all the good things that she's been able to
- 6:24accomplish. She's helped me accomplish a
- 6:27great deal of things as well. She has helped me with music,
- 6:31She's helped me with writing of my books.
- 6:35She's been very supportive and I couldn't think of a better
- 6:41woman. She's beautiful, big heart,
- 6:44intelligent. She's got everything that you
- 6:47could ask for it. To me, she is my perfection.
- 6:52She is my missus, right? She is living proof, including
- 6:56my children, that angels do exist and that God is real.
- 7:02And, you know, I plan on living the rest of my life with her.
- 7:07And obviously, at some point in time, when we leave this world,
- 7:11we'll most likely leave it together as well.
- 7:15And that is that, ladies and gentlemen, that's the story.
- 7:20I'm a little tired right now, but I just wanted to talk about
- 7:25the most precious woman in my life.
- 7:29God bless, ladies and gentlemen.
