Transcript
- 0:00Dayna Roselli: It's episode 315 of Vegas Revealed.
- 0:04Dayna Roselli: We dig deeper into the MGM all-inclusive deal since people have so many questions.
- 0:11Sean McAllister: We also hit up the opening of the highly anticipated restaurant from Mexico City, Cantina Contramar.
- 0:17Dayna Roselli: There are more ways to save on Vegas trips, too, and I think we have a link that you'll enjoy.
- 0:22Sean McAllister: We've got a lot more that you'll enjoy too right now on Vegas Revealed.
- 0:28Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed episode 315.
- 0:31Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli here along with Sean McAllister.
- 0:34Dayna Roselli: We're actually off taking a break with our families separately during Easter week, but we wanted to just quickly pop on and say, listen, we love that you're all listening to our podcast every week.
- 0:47Dayna Roselli: And also note that a lot of you are listening to back podcasts.
- 0:51Dayna Roselli: We're seeing the numbers really jump.
- 0:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's interesting when we see we get weekly uh data about the downloads, the listens, all that.
- 1:01Sean McAllister: But it has been really interesting to see how many people are going back five, 10, 15 episodes and listening to previous episodes, which I will say kudos to you if you are one of the people doing it, because every single episode is packed with a lot of information that doesn't really expire most of the time.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: And some of it that does is kind of fun to listen to, the change, you know.
- 1:29Dayna Roselli: Um, like at the very beginning, we interviewed Derek Stevens.
- 1:32Dayna Roselli: Now, nothing changed except that was before Circa opened.
- 1:35Dayna Roselli: So we got to talk to him about what were the plans for Circa, what was his vision?
- 1:40Dayna Roselli: And I love that if you listen to it, you know, still today his vision stands and look what he's built.
- 1:46Dayna Roselli: And and what has it been like five years now?
- 1:49Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's kind of crazy.
- 1:50Sean McAllister: That was circa was kind of under construction when we when we did that interview when he was talking to us about the the pool filtration system that he was going to be putting in.
- 2:00Sean McAllister: And I think this was before we understood what Circa Swim really even was going to be all about.
- 2:07Dayna Roselli: Yeah, he's like, Oh, it's this stadium, and we're gonna watch sports and people are gonna swim and the pool's gonna be heated and cooled all year round, and we're like, wow, and then it really lives up to all the hype.
- 2:18Sean McAllister: I think more so, absolutely.
- 2:21Dayna Roselli: Well, we do appreciate the support.
- 2:23Dayna Roselli: If you do ever want to see, we do do TV shows, and those are on our YouTube as well.
- 2:28Dayna Roselli: But you know, when it comes to the audio podcast, you can listen to us anywhere Pandora, Spotify, iHeart, every single digital platform.
- 2:35Dayna Roselli: You've also made us a top 1.5% podcast out of over 3 million worldwide consistently.
- 2:43Dayna Roselli: So we thank you for that.
- 2:44Dayna Roselli: And we know um that that comes with consistency as well, because we post a show every single week and we've been dedicated to this, that it keeps because there's a lot of people that start podcasts and literally do it for like two weeks and then promote it and and then it just slowly and quietly goes away.
- 3:04Sean McAllister: Well, and that's exactly why we're dropping this episode uh for while we're gone for Easter week.
- 3:10Sean McAllister: Right.
- 3:11Sean McAllister: So we hope you enjoy what we have planned for you, and we hope that you have a fantastic Easter as well.
- 3:18Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: Let's go over that MGM all-inclusive.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: Uh, we posted on social media that morning you were part of a satellite media tour that made the announcement.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: And um, you did interviews and and QA with, you know, TV stations all across the country.
- 3:33Dayna Roselli: Um, we posted a little video, um, some information.
- 3:36Dayna Roselli: It's gone completely viral.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: I think the tweet we put out was like five million or something like that.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: But the questions keep coming in.
- 3:43Dayna Roselli: We answer some because we want to be helpful, but it's come to the point now, like we're not concierge.
- 3:48Sean McAllister: No, I mean, there are so many questions, and so many of the questions can be answered just by going to the website.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: And if you don't have that handy, grab a pen.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: It's mgmresorts.com slash all inclusive.
- 4:02Sean McAllister: They literally have all of the information laid out for you on one single page.
- 4:08Sean McAllister: You don't have to click around, you can just look through everything.
- 4:12Sean McAllister: And there's actually even a a good FAQ section on there for a lot of the questions that we're seeing pop up on our social posts.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: If you're like, wait, I have this question, just keep scrolling down the page.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: Frequently asked questions.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: There's a lot of different information in there.
- 4:29Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, some of the big ones that we're getting is like, well, it's not three, it's 350 on this week.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the prices vary.
- 4:35Dayna Roselli: It starts at 330.
- 4:37Dayna Roselli: It's not per person, it's for two people.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: Some people are saying, is it 330 per person?
- 4:42Dayna Roselli: No, it's for two people in one room for two nights.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: For two nights, you get the roller coaster rides tickets, you get to pick a show, um, the Caratop, Blue Man Group, Fantasy, Thunder from Down Under, BG's, um, Macking.
- 5:00Dayna Roselli: And then you also get um three meals per day each.
- 5:06Dayna Roselli: You get vouchers in your, you're gonna have to download an app.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: And in there, there's gonna be all sorts of vouchers for you for meals, for your show tickets, the things you show when you go to the thing.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: And it's all spelled out for you.
- 5:17Dayna Roselli: The resort fee is included, parking for one vehicle is included.
- 5:22Sean McAllister: Um I did see one comment that said, Well, when I go to the page to try and book my stay, it's making me uh choose three days instead of two.
- 5:32Sean McAllister: And that's because when you stay for two nights, that covers uh three days.
- 5:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:38Sean McAllister: You check in one day, you stay that night, you stay the following night, and you check out on the third day.
- 5:44Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:44Sean McAllister: So that's why you have to put in your check-in and check out.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: That's why it spans three days.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:50Dayna Roselli: Good point.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: And some people are saying it's not available.
- 5:53Dayna Roselli: And the thing is, is like a lot of people are booking this.
- 5:55Dayna Roselli: So I mean it can fill up.
- 5:56Dayna Roselli: It, you know, this doesn't mean that this the bookings aren't gonna fill and there might not be room on a specific day.
- 6:03Sean McAllister: They're not adding rooms to the resorts when it's full.
- 6:06Sean McAllister: No, there's limited capacity here, so you do have to find dates that work for you and that work for the resort.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 6:14Dayna Roselli: And there are, you know, sometimes where it's you know, there are no blackout dates, but there are peak times in Las Vegas, Memorial Day, uh, you know, a huge time where there's a huge convention in town or something.
- 6:24Dayna Roselli: And the price of July.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: Yeah, the prices are gonna go up a little bit.
- 6:28Dayna Roselli: So, but it's still a good deal for that time.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: And what people are um saying to us is like, oh, maybe we can go to WrestleMania now because we can get this deal, get all six meals, and then hit a show on the opposite night, go to WrestleMania and like it I it's making, you know, um coming to Vegas, you know, more attainable for some people.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: And I love that.
- 6:50Dayna Roselli: I think it's such a great idea.
- 6:52Dayna Roselli: Um, did look at the QA though, or the frequently asked questions, and it does say because some people were asking about the pool.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: So, yes, you can go to the Luxor and Excalibur pool, but they are also um allowing you to go to the MGM Grand Pool and Mandalay Bay, too.
- 7:07Dayna Roselli: And Mandalay Bay has the beach, MGM Grand has a lazy river.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: There's a lot of perks in here.
- 7:12Dayna Roselli: You gotta look.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: There are so though, I mean, those are just right there.
- 7:16Sean McAllister: That's an incredible perk for staying at uh Luxor and Excalibur.
- 7:22Sean McAllister: Um, so yeah, why not?
- 7:25Dayna Roselli: And some people keep saying, Well, I don't want to eat at the hotel every day.
- 7:29Dayna Roselli: You don't.
- 7:30Dayna Roselli: It's not just at your hotel.
- 7:31Dayna Roselli: The list of restaurants are there's a bunch at the Luxor, Backstage Deli, Public House, Diablo's Cantina, and then you can go Mandalay Bay to the Noodle Shop, you can go to New York, New York, and go to Tom's Watch Bar, you can go to the MGM Grand Buffet or Tap Sports Bar.
- 7:46Dayna Roselli: You can go to the Excalibur Buff Buffet or Tap Sports.
- 7:49Dayna Roselli: There's lots of choices.
- 7:50Dayna Roselli: So look through it before you start throwing off a million questions.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: There is a lot to go through, but it's really spelled out very, very well on the MGM Resorts.com backslash all inclusive website.
- 8:03Sean McAllister: And I know uh some other people have made comments uh about the fact that there are prefix menus at uh the participating restaurants for people who have taken advantage of this all-inclusive deal.
- 8:18Sean McAllister: And people are like, oh, well, it's not the whole menu, but that's not an all-inclusive.
- 8:24Dayna Roselli: Well, this is we've never had a really an all-inclusive in Vegas.
- 8:26Dayna Roselli: This is how Vegas is doing.
- 8:27Sean McAllister: This is as all inclusive as we have ever gotten.
- 8:30Sean McAllister: Right.
- 8:31Sean McAllister: So I think just appreciate that, first of all.
- 8:35Sean McAllister: And we have looked through the menus, and there is still a wide variety.
- 8:39Sean McAllister: You have salads to choose from, you have burgers, you have sandwiches, you have I mean go to the buffet, have whatever you want.
- 8:46Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 8:46Sean McAllister: And prime rib.
- 8:48Sean McAllister: That's what I was gonna get to is the fact that you do have two different buffets that you can choose from.
- 8:53Sean McAllister: And they have sushi, they have prime rib, you they have your seafood, they have you know, different sections of food from around the world.
- 9:03Sean McAllister: And you know, there are options.
- 9:05Dayna Roselli: And people are like, well, I'd rather stay, then go stay there.
- 9:08Dayna Roselli: Go stay there and check into the room and watch your bill skyrocket.
- 9:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, go for it if you want to.
- 9:15Dayna Roselli: That's not how they do it in Mexico, that's not how they do it on cruise ships.
- 9:18Dayna Roselli: Well, this isn't a cruise ship, and this isn't Mexico.
- 9:21Sean McAllister: This is Vegas.
- 9:22Dayna Roselli: Plus, when you gamble in Vegas, your drinks are free already.
- 9:26Dayna Roselli: Um, you do get beer or wine with the meals and the vouchers, so keep that in mind.
- 9:30Sean McAllister: It's just so funny.
- 9:31Sean McAllister: It doesn't matter how good of a deal is.
- 9:35Sean McAllister: There are people who will just complain about it and nitpick and want more and more and more.
- 9:43Dayna Roselli: And then it's so sweet.
- 9:44Dayna Roselli: Like, we got a little private message on TikTok from someone who said, you know, I haven't been to Vegas in so long.
- 9:49Dayna Roselli: I think I may come by myself.
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: Like, and then he asked me a question and I answered him, and he was like, Oh, that is he's like, is it and he's like, I think I might come.
- 9:58Dayna Roselli: I'm like success, and I you know, it's it's it's making it attainable for people.
- 10:03Sean McAllister: Yeah, I'm glad that you pointed that out because we have gotten a lot of positive responses too.
- 10:10Dayna Roselli: And people are going, hey, wait a minute, this actually is a really good deal.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 10:14Dayna Roselli: And I say, if you're spending a lot of time in your room in Vegas, you're doing Vegas wrong.
- 10:18Sean McAllister: A hundred percent.
- 10:19Sean McAllister: One hundred percent.
- 10:21Dayna Roselli: Um yeah, you can add on uh kids, uh read through it all.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: So um there's a there's a lot of information in there that will answer your question because I know everyone has a specific question and has specific needs.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: Wanted to quickly point out that if you go to the um visitlosvegas.com website slash deals, that page we talked about it a long time ago when they were doing like a one-day big sale, but it's still there and there's deals all the time.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: And all the latest deals are there.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: So that's another option for you.
- 10:52Dayna Roselli: If this all inclusive isn't for you, this all inclusive is also listed on this page.
- 10:58Dayna Roselli: But I mean, there's you know, there's deals at the Sahara, there's two night stays at Circa,$100 beverage credit, day bet at Stadium Swim, there's 15% off rooms at Caesars Palace.
- 11:09Dayna Roselli: You gotta go through it all, tons of deals.
- 11:11Sean McAllister: Yeah, and those do update uh regularly.
- 11:15Sean McAllister: There's sometimes there's shows in the mix, like you mentioned, yeah, there's pool stays, room rate uh discount.
- 11:23Sean McAllister: So it is worth bookmarking that as well.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:28Dayna Roselli: And real quick with the MGM deal, um, people keep saying when does it end?
- 11:32Dayna Roselli: It goes at least through all the way through summer.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: They may extend it.
- 11:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, there is no end date announced at the moment.
- 11:40Sean McAllister: So that's a good thing.
- 11:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:42Dayna Roselli: Hey, a highly anticipated restaurant is finally open at the Fountain Blue.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: Everyone's been waiting for Cantina Contramar to open.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: Um, we kind of knew it was on the list like at when the Fountain Blue opened, that it was coming, and a lot of you know, food people were buzzing about it.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: And so it's finally open, and you and I got to go to the opening party the night before it actually opened to the public.
- 12:02Sean McAllister: And man, that was a hopping place.
- 12:04Dayna Roselli: It really was so much fun, right?
- 12:07Dayna Roselli: The music, the DJs, the past food, the drinks.
- 12:10Dayna Roselli: Um, it was just a great time.
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: Um, Contramar is in Mexico City, and it's you know, a highly acclaimed restaurant there.
- 12:19Dayna Roselli: So now that we have Cantina Contramar, I actually looked at one day, I was like, it was booked one day.
- 12:24Dayna Roselli: I mean, you gotta get on there and start planning now if you want to get in.
- 12:26Sean McAllister: That's not surprising.
- 12:27Sean McAllister: No, I have a feeling it's gonna be booked for quite some time.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: The past food um was so tasty.
- 12:34Dayna Roselli: It tastes like a like everything that I had, you know.
- 12:36Dayna Roselli: I felt like it was like a burst of flavor, and they were in there in the kitchen of an open kitchen and they were making food and um it it was the drinks were excellent too, I felt like.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: What did you have?
- 12:50Sean McAllister: I had so when we walked in, they had um a tequila sipper, and that was the smoothest tequila I have ever I have ever tasted.
- 13:02Sean McAllister: That was delicious.
- 13:03Sean McAllister: Um, but then I had an old-fashioned once I once I got inside, and that was delicious too.
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 13:10Sean McAllister: So smooth and it was good.
- 13:12Dayna Roselli: I had uh Carajillo, and it if you don't know what that is, it's uh well I looked up the exact way to describe it.
- 13:21Dayna Roselli: It's a popular two ingredient after dinner coffee cocktail consisting of equal parts of freshly brewed espresso and liqueur 43, a Spanish vanilla citrus liqueur shaken with ice and served over ice.
- 13:33Dayna Roselli: Or shaken, yeah, and served over fresh ice.
- 13:36Dayna Roselli: Okay, most delicious I've ever had.
- 13:38Dayna Roselli: It was off the hook.
- 13:40Dayna Roselli: Like the foam on top, just all of it.
- 13:43Dayna Roselli: And I was able to sip on it over a long period of time.
- 13:46Dayna Roselli: I absolutely loved it.
- 13:48Dayna Roselli: I had to wait for the espresso to be brought out, so I knew it was fresh.
- 13:51Dayna Roselli: It was amazing.
- 13:53Dayna Roselli: I will definitely be back for that.
- 13:54Sean McAllister: Well, I saw a few people walking around with those, yeah.
- 13:57Sean McAllister: Uh, including you, and those were just like an eye-catching.
- 14:03Sean McAllister: It was it was just very eye-catching to see people walk around with those.
- 14:06Sean McAllister: And it's like your your head turns, you're like, ooh, right, what is that?
- 14:11Sean McAllister: It was so good.
- 14:13Dayna Roselli: It was delicious.
- 14:14Dayna Roselli: Chef Gabriella Camara was there, and that was lovely to see her with the staff.
- 14:19Dayna Roselli: The staff seemed so happy and proud.
- 14:20Dayna Roselli: They were taking pictures together.
- 14:22Dayna Roselli: She was on the dance floor.
- 14:24Dayna Roselli: It was like a good old celebration.
- 14:26Dayna Roselli: You could tell everyone really has poured a lot of time and energy into this.
- 14:29Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: And they are excited to have it open.
- 14:31Sean McAllister: They're excited to have it open.
- 14:32Sean McAllister: We're excited to have it open.
- 14:34Sean McAllister: Um, I'm excited to go back and actually sit down for a full meal.
- 14:39Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 14:39Sean McAllister: Because just the little bites that were being passed around, the ceviche that they passed around was just I mean, oh, incredible.
- 14:47Sean McAllister: Yeah, like it's amazing the flavor that, yeah, was just packed into every little bite that they uh that they had passed around.
- 14:56Sean McAllister: So if the if the past bites were were like that, I can't imagine what uh a full meal is going to be like.
- 15:04Sean McAllister: So we'll keep you updated once we get back over there.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: Hey, and quick just little thing before we go.
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: Uh Lisa has been announced for a Las Vegas residency.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: And this is the first K-pop artist with a Vegas residency.
- 15:18Dayna Roselli: So um making a lot of headlines.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: It's at the Coliseum at Caesars Palace, November 13th, 14th, 27th, and 28.
- 15:24Dayna Roselli: And Lisa is in blackpink, right?
- 15:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, massively huge K-pop group.
- 15:30Sean McAllister: Um and so these they're calling it a uh limited, a limited run, um, just because right now there are only two weekends announced starting in November.
- 15:44Sean McAllister: There could be many, many, many, many, many more dates added, as we always say.
- 15:49Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 15:50Sean McAllister: Um so just keep that in mind.
- 15:52Sean McAllister: I believe tickets go on sale uh later in April, the 24th.
- 15:57Dayna Roselli: Yeah, general sales on April 20, uh, 3rd.
- 15:59Sean McAllister: Third, okay.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: General on sale, yeah.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: Pre-sale begins Wednesday, April 22nd.
- 16:04Dayna Roselli: So there you have it.
- 16:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, making history.
- 16:06Dayna Roselli: It's called Viva La Lisa.
- 16:08Sean McAllister: I like that.
- 16:10Sean McAllister: She's gonna do great.
- 16:11Dayna Roselli: All right, and we're gonna La Leave ya and be back next week with more.
