- 0:08Speaker 1: Schedule for sure. It's time level lo lo love lower
- 0:15Speaker 1: loa loa Loo. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Sho.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rob Shooter. It's Thursday. LOOPO is not
- 0:21Speaker 1: with us today because I am out doing TV interviews
- 0:24Speaker 1: for the King and Mine book. Busy, busy day. But
- 0:27Speaker 1: we will never ever ever missed the podcast. We love
- 0:30Speaker 1: doing this show. We have twenty minutes of all the
- 0:33Speaker 1: breaking celebrity news stuff you're not gonna hear anywhere else.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Should we jump in? What time is it? My friends?
- 0:38Speaker 1: It is tea time, big story. At the top of
- 0:41Speaker 1: the show, Nick Reiner gives a chilling glare in court
- 0:46Speaker 1: during his parents murder hearing. Nick appeared eerily pale and
- 0:51Speaker 1: expressionless in a Los Angeles court Wednesday as he faced
- 0:57Speaker 1: prosecutors in the murder case against the brutal killing of
- 1:02Speaker 1: his parents, Robin Michelle Reiner. The thirty two year old,
- 1:06Speaker 1: dressed in a yellow prison jumpsuit, sat mostly silent during
- 1:11Speaker 1: the brief hearing, but shot what onlookers describe as a
- 1:17Speaker 1: chilling glare towards prosecutors when they addressed the judge. Nick,
- 1:23Speaker 1: who has pleaded not guilty to two counts of first
- 1:27Speaker 1: degree murder. Is accused of fatally stabbing his parents in
- 1:32Speaker 1: their twenty million dollar Brentwood home in December. His legal
- 1:35Speaker 1: team said they are still awaiting the autopsy results, delaying
- 1:41Speaker 1: movement in the case. If convicted, Nick Rhiner faces life
- 1:47Speaker 1: without prole or even the death penalty. This is heartbreaking.
- 1:52Speaker 1: This case is moving forward. We're not sure why the
- 1:55Speaker 1: autopsy is taking so long, but I'm told now that
- 1:59Speaker 1: is being rush because they want to get moving forward
- 2:03Speaker 1: with this case. He says he's not guilty. The evidence
- 2:07Speaker 1: seems to point in the other direction. But we're not
- 2:10Speaker 1: the jury, we are not the judge, so we're going
- 2:12Speaker 1: to wait and see. Here. His family was not there
- 2:16Speaker 1: in the court room. His family have stepped back. Initially
- 2:19Speaker 1: it seemed as if they were paying his legal bills.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Member he hired that really high profile lawyer who does
- 2:25Speaker 1: not come cheap, and then suddenly the lawyer said he
- 2:28Speaker 1: was no longer working with Nick. Now it's a public
- 2:31Speaker 1: public defender. This is going to be a really really gruesome,
- 2:37Speaker 1: heartbreaking case. I think of Oja, I think of the
- 2:40Speaker 1: Menendez brothers. This is going to be along the lines
- 2:44Speaker 1: of that. I think we're going to have wall to
- 2:46Speaker 1: wall media coverage, INA reporters who are already planning outlets
- 2:51Speaker 1: that are planning this. Who they're going to send to LA,
- 2:55Speaker 1: Who's going to cover this trial, CNN, Fox News, MS,
- 2:59Speaker 1: Now all the cable networks are going to be on
- 3:01Speaker 1: this court TV. All those people are gonna be on it.
- 3:04Speaker 1: To my friend Nancy Grace asked me to be on
- 3:07Speaker 1: her show today, I couldn't film it because I was
- 3:09Speaker 1: downtown yesterday visiting or seeing at least the King that
- 3:13Speaker 1: was thrilling. And so this one is gonna be big,
- 3:17Speaker 1: my friends, and it's gonna be once again, let me
- 3:20Speaker 1: say it gruesome. The manner in which Robin Michelle were murdered,
- 3:26Speaker 1: there's photographs, there's details. I'm told there is a lot
- 3:30Speaker 1: of evidence that we do not know about yet. But
- 3:34Speaker 1: the prosecutor is getting it all together. And the death
- 3:39Speaker 1: penalty it's not off the table. The death penalty is
- 3:44Speaker 1: something that is being considered here. Now, what makes this
- 3:48Speaker 1: so so so so complicated is Robin Michelle were against
- 3:53Speaker 1: the death penalty, his parents were against the death penalty.
- 3:57Speaker 1: But it's not up to the victim. It's ups and
- 4:01Speaker 1: they believe that this crime rises to that. It rises
- 4:06Speaker 1: to where they think the death penalty is a justifia
- 4:12Speaker 1: ball responsor justifiable verdict, and so this is going to
- 4:17Speaker 1: have the eyes of the world on it. I hit
- 4:20Speaker 1: the phones and asked when the trial actually happens, do
- 4:24Speaker 1: we think we'll see family there? And they say no,
- 4:26Speaker 1: it's too gruesome. They can barely think about this. They
- 4:29Speaker 1: can't live it. And they've not just lost their parents,
- 4:32Speaker 1: they've lost their brother too. What about all the celebrities,
- 4:35Speaker 1: Billy Crystal, all the people that were really really close
- 4:38Speaker 1: with the Rhiners. The night before their murder, they were
- 4:41Speaker 1: at Conan O'Brien's house, Bill Hayder, There's so many comedians,
- 4:46Speaker 1: there's so many actors that really owe their careers to
- 4:50Speaker 1: Rob Ryiner. Will they be there? I'm told the family
- 4:52Speaker 1: has asked them to stay away too. It is going
- 4:55Speaker 1: to be enough of a circus. The last thing we
- 4:59Speaker 1: need is celebrity down at the courthouse. I get why
- 5:02Speaker 1: they want to be there. Their friends, their two friends
- 5:05Speaker 1: are gone and they are seeking justice. However, their presence
- 5:09Speaker 1: at the courthouse might not help. In fact, it probably
- 5:12Speaker 1: will not. We're not going to do a poll today.
- 5:14Speaker 1: We don't do polls. When the subject is this heavy,
- 5:18Speaker 1: this distressing, it's going to be the trial, the trial
- 5:22Speaker 1: of the year, if not the decade. Okay, moving along,
- 5:26Speaker 1: just In Baldonie's lawyers blame Blake Lively's own bullying for
- 5:31Speaker 1: the fact that her career has ended. So Justin Baldonian's
- 5:35Speaker 1: lawyers are denying Blake Lively's claims that his alleged smear
- 5:41Speaker 1: campaign wrecked her career. Instead, they are saying her own
- 5:45Speaker 1: reputation did the damage. In a really fiery pre trial hearing,
- 5:50Speaker 1: Justin Baldone's team argued that Blake Lively's quote bully image,
- 5:55Speaker 1: uneven work history, and failed business venture, so to blame
- 6:01Speaker 1: for her alleged losses, not him. If you remember, she
- 6:05Speaker 1: claims that this quote smear campaign that she thinks was
- 6:08Speaker 1: orchestrated against her has cost her three hundred million dollars.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I don't know where she came up with that number,
- 6:15Speaker 1: but she's going to have to give some evidence of
- 6:17Speaker 1: that three hundred million dollars. Well, his team are saying no, no, no,
- 6:21Speaker 1: no no. They are pointing to her Betty buss Brand,
- 6:25Speaker 1: her past comments about Kate Middleton that Betty bus Band
- 6:29Speaker 1: just totally did not work. She said some really awful
- 6:32Speaker 1: things about Kate Middleton when we did not know what
- 6:34Speaker 1: was wrong with Kate. We did not know she had cancer,
- 6:36Speaker 1: we did not know that. And Blake said some pretty
- 6:38Speaker 1: controversial things there, and they said she's got a pattern
- 6:41Speaker 1: of negative behavior, and they're using this as proof for
- 6:45Speaker 1: the reason that her reputation has declined. They're saying it
- 6:49Speaker 1: was self inflicted. They are saying nobody needed to orchestrate
- 6:53Speaker 1: a smear campaign against Blake Lively. She did that herself.
- 6:57Speaker 1: She has a long reputation of being just awful to
- 7:01Speaker 1: journalist on the red carpet. I've said this before, I
- 7:04Speaker 1: will say it again. Whenever a big opportunity comes to
- 7:06Speaker 1: interview a celebrity, everybody in my newsroom raises their hands.
- 7:11Speaker 1: They love talking to us. Who doesn't want to meet
- 7:13Speaker 1: Angelina Julley? Who doesn't want to ask Julia Roberts a
- 7:15Speaker 1: couple of questions everybody when it comes to Blake Lively, nobody,
- 7:19Speaker 1: nobody wants to go because she is notoriously mean to
- 7:23Speaker 1: report us on the carpet. We've seen several of those
- 7:26Speaker 1: video clips, haven't we. So they're saying Blake was never
- 7:29Speaker 1: Taylor Swift. She wasn't selling out arena, she wasn't selling
- 7:32Speaker 1: out products. No, she wasn't. And so subtly to claim
- 7:36Speaker 1: that she's lost three hundred million dollars, that sounds extreme,
- 7:40Speaker 1: and they're saying, even if that's true, it's not because
- 7:44Speaker 1: of them. It's not because of Justin Baldoni. It's not
- 7:46Speaker 1: because he orchestrated a quote smear campaign. No, it's because
- 7:51Speaker 1: she's a mean girl. That's what That's what Justin Baldonia's
- 7:55Speaker 1: team is saying. Baldoni is denying any wrong doing things.
- 8:00Speaker 1: The court case heads to trial on May eighteenth. She
- 8:05Speaker 1: ain't settling this. I thought she would. She has been
- 8:08Speaker 1: advised from everybody to settle this. It's gonna get nastier.
- 8:13Speaker 1: If you think we have seen some damaging stuff about
- 8:17Speaker 1: Blake over the last few months, and we certainly have. Wait,
- 8:21Speaker 1: just wait. One of my sources tell me there is
- 8:23Speaker 1: a smoking gun, and Justin Baldoni is happy, happy, happy
- 8:28Speaker 1: to fire it. He has got the proof, he's got
- 8:30Speaker 1: the receipts, and when this goes to court in just
- 8:32Speaker 1: a few weeks May eighteenth, all will be revealed. And
- 8:37Speaker 1: then I don't know if Blake will work or be
- 8:40Speaker 1: invited to parties in Hollywood again. Okay, moving forward to
- 8:45Speaker 1: Taylor's hot to shutting down rumors that she has fell
- 8:47Speaker 1: out with her pal Jack and Tonoff. So Taylor is
- 8:51Speaker 1: putting these rumors to bed, saying they are absolutely not true.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Fans speculated that after Jack was miss he was missing
- 9:01Speaker 1: from her latest album, Life of a Show Girl. I
- 9:03Speaker 1: Love that album. Speculation swirled that the longtime collaborators had
- 9:07Speaker 1: fallen out. Taylor is shutting that down very quickly, calling
- 9:12Speaker 1: Jack quote one of my best friends and praising their
- 9:16Speaker 1: decade long collaborative bonds. So not only do they work together,
- 9:20Speaker 1: these two really are close, they really are best friends.
- 9:23Speaker 1: She said the following quote, Jack is a collaborator of
- 9:27Speaker 1: mine and one of my best friends, adding that the
- 9:30Speaker 1: pair still share the same intense songwriting chemistry that they
- 9:35Speaker 1: always have. Now. While Jack he did sit out this album,
- 9:39Speaker 1: he's not on this album. Taylor made it clear that
- 9:41Speaker 1: this friendship is intact, and so is one of pop
- 9:45Speaker 1: music's most successful songwriting partners. My husband's a songwriter. Too
- 9:50Speaker 1: often he passes on albums or he doesn't want to
- 9:53Speaker 1: do certain songs just because you are best friends with
- 9:56Speaker 1: somebody and you do work together. It doesn't mean everything
- 9:59Speaker 1: you do needs to be together. Taylor had a different
- 10:02Speaker 1: vision for the life of a show girl. I think
- 10:04Speaker 1: she's spoke to Jack about it, and it wasn't his thing.
- 10:07Speaker 1: You were allowed to say, you know best, the look.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I support you. It's just not right, not the right
- 10:12Speaker 1: fit for me. I remember I approached a friend of mine, Ollie,
- 10:17Speaker 1: about writing It started with a whisper together. He's a
- 10:20Speaker 1: brilliant editor, he's a brilliant writer. I just wasn't confident
- 10:24Speaker 1: enough to think I could do it myself. So I
- 10:26Speaker 1: wrote a few chapters. I met him for a drink,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I sent him the chapters and he passed. He said,
- 10:31Speaker 1: I love it, it's funny. It's just not for me. And
- 10:34Speaker 1: I totally accepted that, and that allowed me to then
- 10:38Speaker 1: do it by myself, and I'm so grateful. I did,
- 10:40Speaker 1: thank you for everybody, to everybody who's bought a copy
- 10:43Speaker 1: of that book. But we didn't fall out. We weren't enemies.
- 10:47Speaker 1: It just wasn't the right fit. I've turned down a
- 10:49Speaker 1: lot of stuff too, misdeeds with lots and lots of projects, Donnie,
- 10:53Speaker 1: some of them are really good projects me, but I
- 10:55Speaker 1: don't say yes just because I think I have to know.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I say yes when I want to, and they know
- 11:00Speaker 1: when it's not for me. And so that's what happened here.
- 11:03Speaker 1: You think, you think that these people are joined at
- 11:06Speaker 1: the hips. They have their own lives. They've both got
- 11:08Speaker 1: so much money. Tailor obviously has more. But don't feel
- 11:11Speaker 1: sorry for Jack. He's a brilliant songwriter and he has
- 11:14Speaker 1: earned royalties on so many of those monster monster hoods
- 11:18Speaker 1: from Taylor Swift and many many other people. So still friends.
- 11:21Speaker 1: I think the reason Taylor did this interview and wanted
- 11:24Speaker 1: to talk about this rumor is everything that's going gone
- 11:28Speaker 1: going on with Blake Liveler. You don't want to have
- 11:31Speaker 1: two people you're not speaking to two former best friends.
- 11:33Speaker 1: It's bad when you fall out with one friend and
- 11:36Speaker 1: you do on the world thinking that maybe you're the problem,
- 11:39Speaker 1: that maybe you can't keep a friendship, that everybody you
- 11:43Speaker 1: fall out with. Well, we know that is not true.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Her and Jack are as close as ever an inside
- 11:48Speaker 1: as a whisper in my ear. They're talking about a
- 11:51Speaker 1: new project too, So I can't wait. Hey, my friend
- 11:55Speaker 1: Nicki Gossin from page six break this fabulous story. She
- 11:58Speaker 1: spoke to George Clooney. He was in town to get
- 12:00Speaker 1: an honor, and he said that he's done chasing Hollywood.
- 12:03Speaker 1: George Clooney says that he's stepping back from Hollywood and
- 12:07Speaker 1: shifting his focus to what really matters the most to him.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Ahead of turning sixty five, you look good, George, the
- 12:14Speaker 1: Oscar winner, revealed that he is no longer quote chasing
- 12:18Speaker 1: a career and plans to spend more time on philanthropy
- 12:21Speaker 1: and passion projects. He said his focus now is the
- 12:25Speaker 1: Clooney Foundation for Justice, which he runs with his wife Amal,
- 12:30Speaker 1: along with mentoring young talent through a school that absolutely
- 12:35Speaker 1: celebrates film and television. He said quick I will be
- 12:40Speaker 1: doing things that I find more fulfilling because I'm not
- 12:44Speaker 1: chasing a career anymore. He added that Hollywood is no
- 12:48Speaker 1: longer a priority to him. He loves it still. That
- 12:50Speaker 1: the right project comes along, he definitely will do it,
- 12:53Speaker 1: but it's not a priority. But he's still open to it.
- 12:56Speaker 1: So George is not retiring, He's not walking away from acting.
- 12:59Speaker 1: He still loves it. I saw him just a few
- 13:01Speaker 1: months ago, six months ago on Broadway. He was brilliant
- 13:04Speaker 1: in good Night and good Luck, just brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
- 13:07Speaker 1: I don't think more Broadway is on his horizon just yet.
- 13:10Speaker 1: It is a lot of work, doing eight shows a week,
- 13:13Speaker 1: there's a ton of work. But he's made so much
- 13:16Speaker 1: money from his different projects, from his liquor brand, He's
- 13:20Speaker 1: made a reported billion dollars, and so now he can
- 13:23Speaker 1: spend time on doing what he really loves, which is justice.
- 13:27Speaker 1: His wife is an amazing lawyer, very very smart. The
- 13:31Speaker 1: Clooney Foundation for Justice. That's where he's put in his passion,
- 13:35Speaker 1: that's where he's putting his money, and that's where he
- 13:38Speaker 1: is putting his mouth. I like this in life. If
- 13:41Speaker 1: you have the financial means that you don't have to
- 13:43Speaker 1: work anymore, it allows you to do all the stuff
- 13:47Speaker 1: that you really are passionate about. I'm passionate about my work.
- 13:50Speaker 1: Even if my book becomes a bestseller and I make
- 13:52Speaker 1: a ton of money, I'm going I still do this podcast.
- 13:55Speaker 1: I love doing it. I loved you to Chattering to
- 13:57Speaker 1: the Noughties five days a week. It gives me so
- 13:59Speaker 1: much joy. So do what makes you happy, do what
- 14:04Speaker 1: fulfills you. And for Clooney it's no longer films, not
- 14:07Speaker 1: so many films. He's not retired. If the right role
- 14:10Speaker 1: comes along, yes he will do it, but he's not
- 14:13Speaker 1: chasing it anymore. What he is chasing is the Clooney
- 14:16Speaker 1: Foundation for Justice. Sounds pretty good, and congratulations again Nikki
- 14:20Speaker 1: on getting this fabulous interview. Okay, we're going to take
- 14:24Speaker 1: a quick break if the ads annaw you, let me
- 14:27Speaker 1: just say the reason that we love our advertisers is
- 14:30Speaker 1: they allow us to bring you this fabulous podcast totally
- 14:34Speaker 1: free charge. So with that then we just couldn't do it.
- 14:36Speaker 1: It is very expensive to put all this together, to
- 14:39Speaker 1: put all this on, and we couldn't do that without
- 14:41Speaker 1: our advertisers. So we will be back in just a moment.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Welcome back to the naughty but Nice Sami post for Room. Shoot. Hey,
- 14:50Speaker 1: let's get to the polls DA. Last year we talked
- 14:55Speaker 1: about Mega Markel, suggesting that are hardest seven years and
- 14:58Speaker 1: now behind her. We wanted to be happy. She's very
- 15:01Speaker 1: much into astrology. Now do you do you believe in astrology?
- 15:06Speaker 1: Seventy two percent said yes, you're into it. I don't
- 15:09Speaker 1: know if I am. I was when I was younger,
- 15:11Speaker 1: I loved reading the horoscope in the paper. What ruined
- 15:14Speaker 1: it for me is when I was the executive editor
- 15:16Speaker 1: of Okay magazine, we had a whole page of horoscopes
- 15:19Speaker 1: and they weren't really that great, and I asked, who,
- 15:22Speaker 1: how do we get this? Who's that expert? It wasn't
- 15:25Speaker 1: very very satisfying cancer. It was an assistant who worked
- 15:30Speaker 1: in the office. I was horrified to find out who
- 15:33Speaker 1: it was. I'm not going to mention names, but I
- 15:35Speaker 1: don't know about this one. Meghan is deep into it.
- 15:39Speaker 1: I have an exclusive story today on my substack. If
- 15:42Speaker 1: you don't follow me, follow me on psalm stack, Rob Shooter.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I'd break three stories a day, at least two three
- 15:47Speaker 1: stories a day that gets emailed directly to your embarks,
- 15:51Speaker 1: just little treats throughout the day. My one of my
- 15:53Speaker 1: big stories today is how Megan suddenly has really got
- 15:57Speaker 1: into astrology, even in a way Princess Diana was Nancy Reagan.
- 16:02Speaker 1: A lot of people around Meghan are now saying she
- 16:04Speaker 1: won't make her move without her astrologer. Okay, we don't
- 16:08Speaker 1: have a pole today. We don't do polls when the
- 16:11Speaker 1: lead subject is so tragic and rob Michelle Rayner rest
- 16:16Speaker 1: rest in peace. Let's do and nicest the other day,
- 16:21Speaker 1: and nicest the day O Kate and William, who have
- 16:24Speaker 1: just celebrated fifteen years with a sweet family snap. William
- 16:29Speaker 1: and Kate marked fifteen years of marriage with a rare
- 16:34Speaker 1: new family photograph featuring Prince George, Princess Charlotte and little
- 16:38Speaker 1: Prince Louis. They wrote the following quote, celebrating fifteen years
- 16:42Speaker 1: of marriage and a big heart. The Prince and the
- 16:45Speaker 1: Princess of Wales rose alongside the sweet snap that they
- 16:49Speaker 1: put out on Wednesday. The image shows William and Kate
- 16:53Speaker 1: stretched out in the grass with their three children and
- 16:56Speaker 1: their family dog with them. But is so relaxed, it
- 16:58Speaker 1: so intomudern, it is so adorable. The couple married at
- 17:03Speaker 1: Westminster Abbey. Remember that, gosh, fifteen years ago, I watched
- 17:06Speaker 1: it all day long. In April twenty eleven, after meeting
- 17:10Speaker 1: at university at Saint Andrew's up in Scotland. Now fifteen
- 17:15Speaker 1: years one fire, fifteen years later, the royal pair are
- 17:18Speaker 1: marking a milestone with the image that matters most and
- 17:22Speaker 1: that's family first. No crowns, no tiara, as this is
- 17:26Speaker 1: about family. A beautiful picture a picture that we wouldn't
- 17:30Speaker 1: have seen fifteen years ago. The Royals were just not
- 17:32Speaker 1: doing stuff this intimate. Now they are the game has changed,
- 17:36Speaker 1: and I am here for it. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I
- 17:39Speaker 1: am told too that they did consult with the King.
- 17:42Speaker 1: He's in America on a very important diplomatic move at
- 17:46Speaker 1: the murmur a diplomatic tour, and so they didn't want
- 17:49Speaker 1: to upstage him. But nevertheless, the dates of the date.
- 17:52Speaker 1: It is fifteen years since they got married in April
- 17:56Speaker 1: twenty eleven at Westminster Abbey, and the King said, absolutely,
- 17:59Speaker 1: you put it at Love is Love is Lover. Let's
- 18:02Speaker 1: celebrate that. There's no upstaging here. And now I noticed
- 18:05Speaker 1: the date. Naughty, Naughty, naughty. Chris Jenna is slamming reports
- 18:09Speaker 1: that she's angry that her face lift has slipped. So
- 18:12Speaker 1: there was reports out there that she was furious that
- 18:15Speaker 1: her face lift, which cost a hundred thousand dollars, has slipped.
- 18:21Speaker 1: She got onto Chloe's podcast and Chris blasted the reporters
- 18:25Speaker 1: quote a flat out lie, and she said she's still
- 18:27Speaker 1: obsessed with her plastic surgeon docton Stephen Levie, and Jenna
- 18:32Speaker 1: called Levin quote an artist and said the rumors were
- 18:36Speaker 1: really hurting her friend. No plastic surgeon wants the rumor
- 18:40Speaker 1: rut there that your client is not happy with their work,
- 18:44Speaker 1: with your work. And so this is the reason Chris
- 18:47Speaker 1: addressed this. Normally, the Kardashians, they don't care about gossip.
- 18:50Speaker 1: They laugh about it. In fact, they embrace it. They've
- 18:52Speaker 1: made a career out of gossip. They know how this works. However,
- 18:56Speaker 1: the person that's getting hurt here is the plastic surgeon.
