- 0:05Speaker 1: Good morning, good, oh God Smooth.
- 0:11Speaker 1: My son won't stop throwing bouncy balls around.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I got bouncy balls in my pockets.
- 0:24Speaker 2: Man, I missed that phase of my life.
- 0:26Speaker 2: I love a good bouncy ball.
- 0:28Speaker 1: I've confiscated so many.
- 0:29Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Mike Blitz, I'm your host.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Mike Wade, co-host over there.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Mike White, south Richmond.
- 0:34Speaker 1: What's up, dude?
- 0:35Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning.
- 0:40Speaker 1: We are here in week.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Comfortable season is damn near near the end.
- 0:45Speaker 1: It's so sad we want to say this is week 12.
- 0:47Speaker 1: We're going to talk about here in a minute, we're going to review week 11.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Excited to be back, we got a little bit more, a couple more weeks of that hot college football action, and then, of course, conference championships and post season play.
- 0:59Speaker 1: But before we do that, as always, check in.
- 1:02Speaker 1: How are you doing, man?
- 1:03Speaker 1: How are you living?
- 1:04Speaker 2: Good, it's raspy voice season, so I got that going on.
- 1:07Speaker 2: But other than that, flying high.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, that's a similar story over here.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Very Flemme, my coffee with tons of cream isn't really helping, but it's smooth and delicious this morning so I'm going to drink it anyway.
- 1:20Speaker 1: Good stuff, all right.
- 1:21Speaker 1: So last week was a pretty crazy week.
- 1:23Speaker 1: College football had some really marquee events.
- 1:25Speaker 1: Let's just start with the one right at the top Penn State, michigan.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I actually watched this entire game, which was just compelling, really compelling to me.
- 1:32Speaker 1: A couple of things Michigan is an absolute hammer.
- 1:36Speaker 1: I am just impressed by the way they play football.
- 1:38Speaker 1: They are so physical, they are so strong.
- 1:41Speaker 1: Penn State is not a light in the pants, quote unquote type team and they took it to him.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Did you see Blake Cormes face after the game in the post, in the post game comments?
- 1:52Speaker 1: He'll think he would do like a battle.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Maybe he kind of did.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, this was vintage Big Ten football.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah, a good game, hard fought, well played Michigan's for real like we thought they were.
- 2:05Speaker 2: I did like Penn State in the upset spot here, but Michigan, in classic Michigan fashion this year and in recent years, went full bow constrictor and just won the game.
- 2:19Speaker 2: They're the better team.
- 2:21Speaker 1: They were, and I want to clarify something.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Usually, when we say vintage Big Ten football, we mean three yards in the cloud of dust and not Well, usually we're making fun of that Exactly this way.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I mean it in complimentary fashion.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Literally my exact point.
- 2:31Speaker 1: The game was actually very entertaining and it was just fun watching good on good.
- 2:35Speaker 1: In that respect and Michigan's offense, and even if it's a very good, unfortunately Penn State's defense is good but their offense is not.
- 2:42Speaker 1: I think Jouelard might stink.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I think he might get there eventually, but he is not ready for this.
- 2:47Speaker 1: He has the physical tools.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I know he was the five star.
- 2:50Speaker 1: He's made some oppressive throws against low level competition the last two weeks in Maryland, indiana, but he couldn't do he totally ineffective.
- 2:57Speaker 1: Also, penn State fired their OC.
- 3:00Speaker 1: I saw that too.
- 3:01Speaker 1: So probably too little, too late considering their two.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Their two game season Super Bowls are over, but at least Franklin's doing something.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know who is behind a lot.
- 3:11Speaker 2: He he's done enough to keep the starting job, but I don't know that he he hasn't performed consistently at a high enough level to win big games and to put them in a position to compete for, to compete where they want to be.
- 3:29Speaker 2: They've got the defense to do it.
- 3:30Speaker 2: But you look at you know, across the board the best teams in college football have a superstar, typically at the quarterback position, and that it's.
- 3:40Speaker 2: It's really.
- 3:40Speaker 2: It shows up every week.
- 3:42Speaker 2: It's hard to get around that.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Yeah, that's just all there is to it.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Kudos to Michigan, so sorry.
- 3:48Speaker 1: All signs point to Michigan, ohio State.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Next week Both teams are going to be 11 to know.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Presumably we're going to be talking about another really epic game of the century, so that should actually be really exciting games in Ann Arbor.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Let's move on.
- 4:00Speaker 1: And other next headliner, ole Miss not competitive at all, got absolutely dusted by Georgia.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Georgia has fully realized their potential.
- 4:09Speaker 1: They were, they did not look good September.
- 4:11Speaker 1: They looked okay in October.
- 4:12Speaker 1: They look nasty now.
- 4:15Speaker 1: They've got all their weapons going.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Their defense is humming offensive line Carson Beck, so he's found his stride.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Is Ole Miss the worst 10 and two team in the history of the SEC?
- 4:25Speaker 2: I don't know what to make of this.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I mean, Georgia is, like you said, looks fantastic.
- 4:30Speaker 2: They did whatever they wanted.
- 4:31Speaker 2: They went for like 10 yards of play on offense, like 300 yards passing, 300 yards rushing.
- 4:37Speaker 2: They don't have the one guy or the several guys, the headlines, the big time names that you're just looking at as NFL guys, but they've got like, yeah, everywhere they're just doing it in every which way they want to do it and man it's.
- 4:54Speaker 2: It's pretty scary now that they've got it humming.
- 4:56Speaker 2: As far as Ole Miss goes, I really thought that they would be able to do more.
- 5:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I picked it.
- 5:03Speaker 1: I picked it plus 10 and a half.
- 5:04Speaker 1: That was that.
- 5:05Speaker 1: That was dead in the second quarter.
- 5:06Speaker 1: I was never a thing.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Thank Kiffin.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know that there's a big picture takeaway here, but it does seem like this tends to happen to Lane Kiffin, like every year.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Maybe it's the Ole Miss curse, maybe it's it's Kiffin, kiffin, they're, they're the Penn State of the SEC right now.
- 5:26Speaker 1: There's a little bit of that going on.
- 5:26Speaker 1: My take is I think Ole Miss has a ceiling and I think that ceiling is substantially below that of the Georgia is Alabama's, even the LSU and Tennessee's, if we're being honest.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And I actually think Lane Kiffin is maximizing what he has.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Sometimes that looks like lopsided scores because he goes forward or forth down at the 40 yard line.
- 5:43Speaker 1: He sells out on the Blitz all the time.
- 5:45Speaker 1: It's just what he does.
- 5:46Speaker 1: Because I think Lane Kiffin knows he's like look, I'm either going to get some lucky breaks, some turnovers, some big busted plays, or I'm going to go down swinging and I'm going to take a lot of chances.
- 5:56Speaker 1: And that goes one of two ways you win a squeaker against LSU and you get, you get a big win, or you lose 52 to 14.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Whatever the heck it was this past week and just goes the other way.
- 6:06Speaker 1: I kind of think with I don't really fault Lane Kiffin.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I also like we're going to talk about coaching hires in a minute.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I don't think Lane Kiffin is long for there.
- 6:12Speaker 1: I think he knows better than all of us what Ole Miss is, ceiling is, and I think he's going to be a name passed around in the coaching carousel.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't hate that take.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I do think Ole Miss has punched above their weight for a while with him there.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean for a long, long time.
- 6:29Speaker 2: They're kind of the doormats of the SSE West.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they're sitting number 13 in the college football rankings.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I think they're probably going to play themselves in New York Six Bowl.
- 6:35Speaker 1: They're going to win this this week.
- 6:37Speaker 1: They're going to win the Egg Bowl, presumably.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Sitting at 10 and two like here we go, speaking of teams that are also never competitive.
- 6:46Speaker 1: That aren't that bad, but put your weight class kind of similar situation Alabama, kentucky.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Mike Stoops is a great coach.
- 6:52Speaker 1: He's done great things in Kentucky, given what they have, but Alabama is one of those teams, much like Georgia, that has totally hit their stride.
- 6:59Speaker 1: That is not the team that you want to play in November and I know that well as an LSU fan.
- 7:04Speaker 1: They looked awesome against Kentucky.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yeah, alabama, the same way Georgia, and this is why you have to be careful labeling teams early, and we both did for.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Alabama but to be fair, this is not the Alabama that we are used to seeing.
- 7:20Speaker 2: That still doesn't mean that they're not really really good.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yeah, but defense was, yeah, defensive questionable.
- 7:26Speaker 1: They benched their quarterback and then went back to them.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I can't tell you Alabama football season, where I've ever seen that.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Well, this is the mark of good coaching, because they have gotten so much better.
- 7:36Speaker 2: They've played to their strengths.
- 7:38Speaker 2: They figured out how to utilize Jalen Milrow effectively, and you know, you see it with Georgia as well.
- 7:44Speaker 2: With the way they're managing Carson Beck.
- 7:45Speaker 2: He looks better than ever.
- 7:47Speaker 2: And this is not the Georgia that struggled against South Carolina.
- 7:51Speaker 2: This is not the Bama that struggled against who was it?
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah, usf, south Florida.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Yeah, south Florida.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Yeah, they're different teams, and that's what's really fun about college football in a lot of ways, because you kind of never know what you're going to get and you don't.
- 8:08Speaker 2: These teams aren't fully formed until they're smacking people around.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's true.
- 8:14Speaker 1: This is true.
- 8:14Speaker 1: Let's move on to the next one UW outlasted Utah.
- 8:19Speaker 1: It's actually a great game.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I watched a lot of this as well.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Kudos to UW's defense, kind of figuring things out.
- 8:25Speaker 1: They held Utah 75 yards.
- 8:27Speaker 1: A second half that picked six when they dropped the ball on the one yard line.
- 8:30Speaker 1: What is this football phenomenon that keeps happening?
- 8:34Speaker 1: I don't understand.
- 8:35Speaker 1: It's a flex.
- 8:36Speaker 1: It should never happen again.
- 8:38Speaker 2: It should never happen, ever.
- 8:38Speaker 2: It doesn't fly under the radar, it's highlighted and dunked on and made fun of, and every coach shows it in their film sessions.
- 8:47Speaker 2: How does this?
- 8:48Speaker 1: keep happening.
- 8:49Speaker 1: I think it's a kid's flexing.
- 8:51Speaker 1: I think they're running the end zone.
- 8:52Speaker 1: They're like I'm just going to drop it real smooth.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I really think it's what it is and they're just, they're going so fast, they're driving the roof, they're just not paying.
- 8:58Speaker 1: Desean Jackson did it twice.
- 9:01Speaker 1: I think it's happened in the NFL.
- 9:03Speaker 1: It's inexplicable, ridiculous thing.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I mean, obviously it worked out.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Utah recovered the ball.
- 9:08Speaker 1: They got a safety on the very next play at the ball back it's a subsequent touchdown.
- 9:12Speaker 1: So obviously there's no harm, no foul, but like just unbelievable Other side of the other side of things, I want to say watching Michael Penex do those those beautiful spirals to those I would say two, if not three NFL wide receivers is just fun.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Roman Dunze is nasty.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Yeah, they're a fun team to watch.
- 10:11Speaker 2: This was a good game.
- 10:12Speaker 2: It played out, I think, kind of the way that we thought it would.
- 10:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Utah is still really good.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I was a little.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I'm, I'm, I'm continue to be underwhelmed by UW's defense, which I think is ultimately going to cost him.
- 10:23Speaker 1: You know, let's go, move, move to the right into the next game.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Bonix put it on really not ever that competitive to score and look closer than it actually was 3726, 27.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I am now thoroughly convinced Oregon is going to beat UW in the Pac 12 championship in Vegas, despite the fact that UW beat them in Oregon.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I just think what was happening is, I think every team has warts and you can either fix them or hide them.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I don't think UW can do either on their defense.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I think ultimately going to cost them.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Bonix is a bonix in Oregon or a complete team on both sides the ball offense and defense, and they took care of business against USC this week.
- 10:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I 100% agree with that.
- 10:58Speaker 2: They're they.
- 10:58Speaker 2: They are more dynamic on offense, they can do more and they're better on defense, and that first game was a completely toss up anyway, and so, as these teams have progressed, it definitely looks like Oregon's getting better and better.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Yep, arizona 3431,.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Crazy game against Colorado.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Colorado is back on schedule.
- 11:17Speaker 1: We kind of talked about this last week.
- 11:18Speaker 1: I think they're four and six.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Now they have a chance to win against against a reeling Washington state this week and then I think they have a tough game to close their season out.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Maybe they finished five and seven.
- 11:28Speaker 1: You know they start three and oh, we had all kinds of crazy goals for this team.
- 11:32Speaker 1: I think we were talking seven and five.
- 11:34Speaker 1: At one point I said under two wins.
- 11:37Speaker 1: That was clearly wrong.
- 11:38Speaker 1: You said over three and a half.
- 11:38Speaker 1: You hit that.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 11:39Speaker 1: This team is right on schedule.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I don't really have a lot to criticize and say.
- 11:41Speaker 1: I think, honestly, I wished they would have said like we have two Neinvers.
- 11:43Speaker 1: You shouldn't have been.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Doesn't look like we're at.
- 11:44Speaker 1: It was.
- 11:45Speaker 1: We were really on aisance, but still we're, despite it.
- 11:46Speaker 1: People were very curious to see what Deontaners looked like at the regular season.
- 11:49Speaker 1: I'm almost more curious to see what it looks like at the off season.
- 11:51Speaker 1: Given what he did last week with the transfer portal and the recruiting, what's this cycle going to look like now that there's some proof of concept on the field?
- 11:59Speaker 2: It's also funny we were talking about teams not being fully formed in a really positive way and not knowing who teams are, and Colorado got so much hype for that TCU win.
- 12:11Speaker 2: This is a four and six TCU team that we're looking at right now Like.
- 12:16Speaker 2: This is why preseason polls miss the mark in so many ways, because so much of it is based on what teams did the previous year.
- 12:24Speaker 2: And if you're looking at it now, that Colorado win against TCU is meh, yeah, no, honestly, the win the following week against Nebraska.
- 12:33Speaker 1: They're five and five and I'm a Nebraska fan, I like big red.
- 12:36Speaker 1: They're four wins at TCU, nebraska, colorado State.
- 12:40Speaker 1: I guess, arizona State.
- 12:41Speaker 1: Arizona State's not a bad team.
- 12:42Speaker 1: That's probably their best win is at Arizona State, and Arizona State is not good either.
- 12:49Speaker 1: They're also one with their record right now.
- 12:50Speaker 1: What's Arizona State's record?
- 12:52Speaker 1: Oh, they're three and seven, so they're not that good.
- 12:54Speaker 1: So, yeah, nebraska or TCU are their best wins.
- 12:57Speaker 1: I'm not that critical.
- 12:59Speaker 1: There's a lot of talk.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Dion is not surprised at all.
- 13:02Speaker 2: We didn't nobody expected anything out of them.
- 13:05Speaker 2: That's why it was so funny that they were like yeah, hot ticket in college football.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I just, I just feel like I mean I'm gonna, I'm gonna sing it for Dion here a minute.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I just kind of think that he's getting unfairly.
- 13:14Speaker 1: The backlash is coming big and bad because of, because of Travis Hunter, because of the noise they made, because of, just you know, the show button, whatever you want to call it.
- 13:23Speaker 1: And now they're four and six and obviously, like the other shoe has dropped, the, the mean, has regressed.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Whatever you want to say, like now they are trying to, now they have to figure out where they are.
- 13:32Speaker 1: And also I'm really excited about them going to pack 12.
- 13:35Speaker 1: I mean the big 12 next year, because it's gonna be easier, dude, this is a poverty program.
- 13:42Speaker 2: I mean, it is what it is it is, it isn't.
- 13:44Speaker 2: No, no, I'm just saying like there's no reason for anyone to have any hot takes about any terrible coaching job or any fall off or any bet.
- 13:53Speaker 2: They stormed the field for beating Colorado State.
- 13:56Speaker 2: That's where we're at.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Of the mighty Rams.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Anyway, we're moving on.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Moving on.
- 14:02Speaker 1: We talk more about.
- 14:02Speaker 1: We talk more about Colorado football this year and the history of this podcast by like a multiplier of like 15 and every other media outlet ever.
- 14:11Speaker 2: yes, right, yeah, at least we're not.
- 14:12Speaker 1: We're not alone in that.
- 14:13Speaker 1: You, con, went at at JMU, jmu, smoke them.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Good for you.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Jmu is 10 and 0.
- 14:18Speaker 1: They are got game day.
- 14:20Speaker 1: College game day is going to Harrisonburg for the second time ever.
- 14:24Speaker 1: That's the first time game day showed up.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Versap next week Going to give James their flowers.
- 14:28Speaker 1: 10 and 0 ranked top 25.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Get some Duke dogs.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah, good for you, I love to see it.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Love to see it.
- 14:34Speaker 1: That's best program in the state of Virginia.
- 14:36Speaker 1: That includes Liberty.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I hear you out there.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Oh, we got the F.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Oh, ucf.
- 14:42Speaker 1: What a trap game UCF was.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Oklahoma State went to Orlando in a monsoon.
- 14:48Speaker 1: They were two and a half point favorites.
- 14:49Speaker 1: They lose 45 to three.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I was high on Oki State.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I was high on Olly Gordon, me too.
- 14:56Speaker 1: They weren't, they didn't.
- 14:57Speaker 1: They didn't get off the bus, they didn't get the bus.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah, all I can say is Mike Gundy, what are you doing?
- 15:03Speaker 2: What?
- 15:05Speaker 2: How does this what?
- 15:06Speaker 1: What happened?
- 15:07Speaker 1: What is it like being an Oklahoma State fan?
- 15:09Speaker 1: So you lose to South Alabama at home, which is like a handling like 33 to seven.
- 15:13Speaker 1: This is just a terrible, terrible game.
- 15:15Speaker 1: You get some things together.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Olly Gordon has a big day.
- 15:17Speaker 1: You knock off Kansas and Kansas State in like back to back weeks.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Like you like regain some real credibility.
- 15:22Speaker 1: You're in the driver's seat for the big 12 championship but they actually still might be.
- 15:25Speaker 1: I haven't looked at standings in a minute and like then they just get smoked by UCF.
- 15:30Speaker 1: Like if you're an Oklahoma State fan, what does it feel like this?
- 15:33Speaker 2: year.
- 15:33Speaker 2: This.
- 15:33Speaker 2: This isn't even a good UCF team.
- 15:35Speaker 2: They've won this game to be 500.
- 15:38Speaker 1: No, it's not good.
- 15:39Speaker 1: Good Kudos to Customs.
- 15:41Speaker 2: And I mean, yeah, Customs on some pretty.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I mean he's a good coach, he's a good coach.
- 15:45Speaker 1: We know him.
- 15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I don't know what.
- 15:48Speaker 2: Oh, wow, yeah, I don't know.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Gundy is better than that.
- 15:51Speaker 2: He is a good coach too.
- 15:52Speaker 2: He is a very good coach.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Oklahoma.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Ok, so there's seven and three, five and two in conference.
- 15:56Speaker 1: They have the head to head against Iowa, against.
- 15:58Speaker 1: They play Iowa State this week.
- 16:00Speaker 1: So there will be some tiebreaker situation because they do have the tiebreakers against K State and Oklahoma.
- 16:06Speaker 1: So, assuming they win at Houston and BYU, which are both bad teams, they probably will.
- 16:11Speaker 1: So they are still going to go back to the big 12 championship.
- 16:13Speaker 1: They whatever, whatever they did in Orlando, just go ahead and just burn the film, because you probably get a shot at Texas again.
- 16:19Speaker 1: So you got to be ready for that.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Duke at UNC, thriller 4745.
- 16:23Speaker 1: If you're a North Carolina or Duke fan, that must have been a big fun.
- 16:26Speaker 1: At the very end, duke was super mad that they wanted an.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Did you see the final play?
- 16:32Speaker 1: They had an offensive lineman like four yards into the end zone.
- 16:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's one of those plays.
- 16:37Speaker 1: It's, I mean, it's a legal man downfield.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Like I mean, do you make that call?
- 16:41Speaker 1: I mean, obviously it was the right call.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I mean he was way past where he's supposed to be.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Like it's a tough, that's a tough one.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I get that moment.
- 16:48Speaker 1: You swallow the whistle.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I don't know what to say about that.
- 16:51Speaker 2: I've seen that whistle swallowed on that type of play over and over and over again.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know, just funny, it's just.
- 16:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just one of those things.
- 17:01Speaker 2: You got to roll with the punches that didn't decide the game.
- 17:03Speaker 2: You know there were a lot of things that led up to that.
- 17:06Speaker 1: No, there were the whole, that whole last drive, that Phantom PI.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I mean there were plenty of chances for both teams to win that game.
- 17:12Speaker 1: I kind of thought Duke was going to pull it out, but unfortunately they did not.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Not.
- 17:17Speaker 2: If you want to talk Phantom PIs and mad fans and mad ACC officials Got to talk about that UVA game.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I was going to say we'll jump to the homers.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Last thing I want to say is it's just really funny.
- 17:30Speaker 1: In the Texas A&M game they absolutely erased Mississippi State, which is funny because both teams fired their coaches after the game Congratulations.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Congratulations, you're out.
- 17:39Speaker 1: Did you see the Max Johnson decoy they had?
- 17:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so before the game, max Johnson, who was presumably A&M quarterback who wears number 14, he's injured.
- 17:52Speaker 1: He actually didn't start.
- 17:52Speaker 1: They went to the new guy, jaden, whose name escaped me right now.
- 17:56Speaker 1: She had a great game and he was out there warming up in wearing Max Johnson 14.
- 17:59Speaker 1: It was a walk on who kind of looks like Max Johnson.
- 18:03Speaker 2: That was a hat on, so he had a lefty.
- 18:06Speaker 2: So yeah, it was a weird gamesmanship.
- 18:09Speaker 1: I would love to hear like what the decision was behind that.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Ultimately, it didn't matter.
- 18:13Speaker 1: A&m absolutely erased them.
- 18:15Speaker 1: He said 10.
- 18:16Speaker 1: It's 51 to 10.
- 18:16Speaker 1: And then both teams fired their coaches.
- 18:18Speaker 1: All right, let's talk about the homers.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Uva at Louisville Thursday night Crank to Calandria coming out and just that was a great game.
- 18:27Speaker 2: But UVA man got just jobbed at the end, and it seems like every time I turn them on they're getting hosed with some weird calls.
- 18:34Speaker 2: That NC State game had a lot of questionable calls?
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yes, it did, they just can't catch a break, yeah.
- 18:39Speaker 1: And then there's the one, the little couple of fuzzy ones, the very end I UVA is what they're now three and seven on the year Two and eight.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Yikes, and it's just tough, I mean honestly.
- 18:51Speaker 1: There are a couple of plays away from five and five.
- 18:53Speaker 2: You know there's a world where they are five, five.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Calandria played awesome.
- 18:57Speaker 2: He did.
- 18:57Speaker 2: He is a baller.
- 18:59Speaker 2: He threw for 314.
- 19:00Speaker 2: He ran for 89.
- 19:02Speaker 2: He did it all Louisville's front seven really good.
- 19:05Speaker 2: If it's not, what was it that blocked punt?
- 19:08Speaker 2: Yeah, If it wasn't for that, I mean you're looking at that.
- 19:14Speaker 1: That would be the marquee win of the season.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Louisville little fraudulent playing at home, having so much trouble with two and eight UVA Very fraudulent.
- 19:21Speaker 1: Yeah, they're going to get.
- 19:22Speaker 2: I'm going to go ahead and say it, yeah.
- 19:24Speaker 1: They're, they're, they're hovering in like the top 11 or 12 in the rankings.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Florida State are up to number nine.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Jesus that right.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Assuming Florida State shows up to that game in the ACC championship, I expect them to win by 24.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I couldn't.
- 19:37Speaker 2: I just want to say, yeah, I'm off on Louisville.
- 19:39Speaker 2: I said they were a really good team and I gave them a lot of respect.
- 19:43Speaker 2: No, you, you should have lost to a two win UVA team at home, with everything on the line.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's not the first time that they've looked sketchy.
- 19:52Speaker 1: It's looked looked bad.
- 19:54Speaker 1: I mean nine and one is nine to one.
- 19:55Speaker 1: You are what your record is.
- 19:57Speaker 1: It's, you know it's.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I think you you are not what your record is because of who they've played.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean NC State, indiana, georgia, tech were all closures and that should have been how you look, in these games matters, like I tested, very much matters because the schedules, this is not the NFL, the schedules are not apples to apples.
- 20:15Speaker 2: You know, you barely beat NC State, you barely beat UVA.
- 20:19Speaker 2: I just, I don't know, man.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, they've got two reasonably good tests of playing at Miami this week, which is about a coin flip which we'll talk about, and then verse Kentucky, which is a rivalry game.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Yeah, kentucky might show up for that game.
- 20:30Speaker 1: So they might, we might, we might, let, let, let, mis-test.
- 20:33Speaker 1: But if they're 11 and one at the end of the season, I expect them to be in the top 10.
- 20:37Speaker 1: And then I expect Florida State to beat the breaks off them.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean that's a great season.
- 20:42Speaker 2: I'm not saying it's not, I'm just saying when you look at them against the teams around them in the rankings, they don't belong.
- 20:50Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I'm not going against that.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Virginia Tech at BC crushed the Eagles, beat it rolling, dude.
- 20:56Speaker 1: They just keep calling in drone strikes, baby.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Keep calling them in calling them in 12 for 17, 219 yards attached.
- 21:01Speaker 1: He rushed for the team rush for 360.
- 21:04Speaker 1: The D has gotten a lot better.
- 21:06Speaker 1: They got two picks.
- 21:06Speaker 1: They limited Boston college to 270 yards.
- 21:09Speaker 1: This is up in what's it called Chestnut Hill and whatever they call it.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Whatever it's called.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Whatever it's called Sounds right that sounds good.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Yeah, chestnut something, jerry, oak Mill Creek, something I don't know.
- 21:20Speaker 1: They're a Boston college fan listening.
- 21:21Speaker 1: What do you guys play in that?
- 21:22Speaker 1: They're going bowling, and man credit to that.
- 21:25Speaker 1: It did not look like that.
- 21:27Speaker 1: This team has turned around so much since a good one.
- 21:30Speaker 1: It's a great win.
- 21:33Speaker 2: A six and four BC team at home.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and they put 600 yards of offense on them.
- 21:39Speaker 2: That is ridiculous.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Here's the thing that's frustrating for tech fans.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I mean, obviously you're feeling really good, like, obviously you got your guy in Kyron drones, you've got lots of eligibility left, the defense is clearly gelling and injection of talent is coming.
- 21:51Speaker 1: The proof of concept is there, the coaching is there.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Look at their first four games.
- 21:56Speaker 1: They lose to Purdue, rutgers and Marshall, all of which are not good teams.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Just a knot Like if this is this is the point I'm trying to get at is like, obviously, like Virginia tech needed this time to mature.
- 22:08Speaker 1: They have changed dramatically in who they were from week one to week.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Wherever you are 11 now, if they were where they were now.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Obviously the Florida state loss was bad, the Louisville loss was bad, but you're probably talking about an eight and two tech, you know, or seven and three tech.
- 22:24Speaker 2: So that Purdue game was.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I mean, we were there.
- 22:26Speaker 2: It was super weird, it was a monsoon.
- 22:28Speaker 2: They quit, they shut it down, they came back out, the stadium was empty.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, they're so much missed opportunity here.
- 22:35Speaker 2: But that's, you know, that's the growth you get in a rebuild, in a program.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Yeah, and losing to 20 at Rutgers?
- 22:42Speaker 1: That doesn't happen.
- 22:43Speaker 1: They play again tomorrow.
- 22:43Speaker 1: Rutgers is terrible.
- 22:45Speaker 1: I don't care what their I don't care what their schedule.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Their record is.
- 22:50Speaker 1: They're terrible I think there are six and four.
- 22:51Speaker 1: They're probably going to go six and six.
- 22:52Speaker 1: I was moving on LSU versus Florida.
- 22:56Speaker 1: Jane Daniels Heisman performance first player ever to go for three 15 yard 200 passing.
- 23:02Speaker 1: He's just the man that he's on a three loss team At this point.
- 23:06Speaker 1: That's all LSU was playing for.
- 23:06Speaker 1: All LSU was playing for is the Heisman Hopefully finished nine and three, get a 10th win with the bowl games.
- 23:12Speaker 1: That's a nice, it's a nice staple to say 10 double digit wins.
- 23:15Speaker 1: But I'm expecting.
- 23:18Speaker 1: I'm expecting Brian Kelly to leave Jane Daniels deep into the Georgia state and A&M games and try and rack up big toes Cause, honestly, that's all LSU was playing for right at this point in the season's over.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I was playing that.
- 23:29Speaker 1: It always feels good to be Florida.
- 23:30Speaker 1: We've beaten them five straight.
- 23:32Speaker 1: We are now all time records, 34 and 33 against them.
- 23:36Speaker 1: We have flipped the script.
- 23:37Speaker 1: We are now winning.
- 23:37Speaker 1: So that feels good.
- 23:38Speaker 1: A little feather in the cap for the Baton Rouge Bayou bangles.
- 23:43Speaker 1: Any LSU Florida thoughts for me?
- 23:45Speaker 2: That's really specifically about this game Florida Florida made it close, close or late, and showed a lot of fight, did some good things, but yeah, Jake and Daniels just carrying the team on his back If, if not.
- 23:58Speaker 2: For him this is like a seven and five LSU team.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Worst than that.
- 24:03Speaker 1: You're, yeah, you're being nice.
- 24:04Speaker 1: I think we're at six and six, and only because the deep, but that is the mark of a Heisman.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Yeah, and only because yeah I mean one.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Our schedule is tough.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I'm obviously I mean in Florida state, alabama and Ole Miss, but it's it's.
- 24:19Speaker 1: You know our offense is, is elite.
- 24:21Speaker 1: I mean offensive line running backs receives everyone's good.
- 24:23Speaker 1: It's just the defense.
- 24:24Speaker 1: It's just pitiful.
- 24:24Speaker 1: It's a division two defense.
- 24:26Speaker 1: Our last one let's get this over with Tennessee at Mizzou.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Not what you want to see out of your beloved Vols.
- 24:34Speaker 1: What do you have to say?
- 24:34Speaker 1: Give me your, give me your breakdown.
- 24:36Speaker 2: There's zero excuse for this.
- 24:38Speaker 2: This is a goose egg.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Worst.
- 24:41Speaker 2: This is the worst loss.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Second, the worst loss in the Hypo era.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Defense didn't come to play, looks terrible, lost, confused.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Missouri is a good team, but there's just no excuse for it.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I don't understand it.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I don't know how it happened.
- 24:59Speaker 2: It's it's.
- 24:59Speaker 2: I mean, you win that game and the Georgia game still being played later that night.
- 25:07Speaker 2: You know you're going into this game with the hopes of playing for the SEC East next week and you come out and just look lost.
- 25:14Speaker 2: The turnovers killed them.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Three turnovers, over 100 yards in penalties those are the things that killed you in this game more than anything.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Because, as bad as they played it was 22-7, I think, with the Vols driving to punch it in and make it a one-score game and they turned the ball over.
- 25:35Speaker 2: A lot of untimely penalties that really shot themselves in the foot.
- 25:40Speaker 2: But yeah, I don't know, it's just a bad, bad loss.
- 25:42Speaker 2: I'm sick about it.
- 25:45Speaker 2: This one hurts more than the Bama loss.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Just with everything in front of you, you still have a chance to go 9-3.
- 25:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I thought the two formers were really costly.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I mean the one where he just like touched the running back and flipped it forward.
- 26:01Speaker 1: That was bonkers.
- 26:02Speaker 1: The other one, which is a heck of a play by the Miser.
- 26:05Speaker 1: I think Jalen Wright fumbled and you were about to drive it in, but that was really tough.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Yeah, before the half, we're about to score again.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah and they moved the ball all the way down the field pretty much.
- 26:12Speaker 1: And then we give them three.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah, it was just a terrible game.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Frustrating your receiver who made that incredible touchdown.
- 26:20Speaker 1: Catch also, I think, out for the year, yeah.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Dante Thornton.
- 26:24Speaker 2: He really coming on late.
- 26:26Speaker 2: He's a big body receiver.
- 26:28Speaker 2: Just moved him back to the outside where he's more comfortable, caught his first touchdown of the year on an incredible catch.
- 26:33Speaker 2: He's out for the rest of the year.
- 26:34Speaker 2: So now two starting wideouts out.
- 26:36Speaker 2: We're still down our starting middle linebacker.
- 26:39Speaker 2: We're just taking blows.
- 26:41Speaker 2: We're down our best starting cornerback.
- 26:43Speaker 2: He's been out a couple of games now.
- 26:44Speaker 2: We're just losing guys left and right and it's not good.
- 26:49Speaker 1: On the flip side, I want to give Missouri some credit, and Cody Schrader is an outstanding back.
- 26:52Speaker 1: I think he's leading the SEC in rushing.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Brady Cook is slippery.
- 26:57Speaker 1: He did this to LSU for 60 minutes as well.
- 27:00Speaker 1: I mean they had a chance to win the game.
- 27:02Speaker 1: We got a lucky pick six to win that one, and you remember Jane Daniels had a Heisman of all Heisman performances for LSU to get that win.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Brady Cook is really good and he is tough to bring down and he is dangerous with his feet.
- 27:15Speaker 1: I don't think he gets enough credit as a runner so many times where I even Tennessee had pretty good lane integrity and he was still talking and running it for 17 yards and he was quick.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Yeah, it's hard for me to truly give probably Missouri the respect that they deserve.
- 27:29Speaker 2: They're a really good team and they've got some good weapons.
- 27:34Speaker 2: So yeah, they're good, but that was a really poor performance by the Vols.
- 27:40Speaker 1: Yeah, tough to lay an egg in that spot.
- 27:41Speaker 1: All right, let's move it.
- 27:42Speaker 1: That is all for week 11.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Some big picture things to talk about Mississippi State, texas A&M, boise, and now we're getting reports of UCLA, which has not happened yet, but it will happen this week.
- 27:53Speaker 1: They're all firing their coaches.
- 27:55Speaker 1: Any rapid reaction hot takes on any of those four jobs.
- 27:59Speaker 1: Remember, michigan State's already out there.
- 28:01Speaker 2: Yeah, jimbo, we got to.
- 28:04Speaker 2: I mean, that's a big, big, big one.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I didn't know if they would really really do it.
- 28:09Speaker 2: It's been looming for so long, it's been swirling for so long.
- 28:13Speaker 2: $74 million buyout.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Something like that and that's.
- 28:18Speaker 2: I mean, it's not necessarily the number, it's just man.
- 28:22Speaker 2: What does that mean?
- 28:22Speaker 2: It's crazy to think about.
- 28:26Speaker 1: And the number is really going to double.
- 28:27Speaker 1: When you factor in paying off all their coaches and bringing in the new guy, it's going to be something like $100 million.
- 28:33Speaker 1: I saw a statistic.
- 28:34Speaker 1: They're going to pay him $26,000 a day for the next eight years to not coach.
- 28:40Speaker 1: It's with the final payout.
- 28:42Speaker 2: I would love to be so bad at something that somebody gives me that much money not to do it.
- 28:46Speaker 1: I don't know what that would be but I'd love to find out.
- 28:49Speaker 1: I'm really, I mean, I'm actually, I mean I.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I want this not to be true because LSU is in A&M's or have become rivals.
- 28:55Speaker 1: They, they, they fight, they play each other, win, lose a lot.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Fight for recruits.
- 28:59Speaker 1: Text A&M is an elite job.
- 29:02Speaker 1: I really think.
- 29:03Speaker 1: I really think it is Absolutely what they have with their facilities, their support, their access to recruits and just recently, when they were in the country, texas is like one of mechas of college high school football live for college football.
- 29:13Speaker 1: What they're doing in NIL, I mean other than Texas, ut, texas, austin.
- 29:19Speaker 1: What I mean.
- 29:20Speaker 1: What school is better positioned than Texas A&M in the new era of the NIL college football?
- 29:26Speaker 2: Honestly, yeah, if you look at things that make a coaching job elite, it's backyard recruiting, got it.
- 29:33Speaker 2: You know in-state recruiting.
- 29:35Speaker 2: So you've got Texas, california, florida and maybe Georgia, and that's it.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Those are the hotbeds of college football recruiting.
- 29:43Speaker 2: You've got money Check, got it.
- 29:45Speaker 2: You've got NIL buy-in program buy-in.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Is it important to the school?
- 29:50Speaker 2: Do you put this over other things?
- 29:52Speaker 2: Yes.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Stadium facilities yes.
- 29:55Speaker 2: What else do you need?
- 29:57Speaker 1: They play in the SEC.
- 29:58Speaker 1: They play in the best conference.
- 29:59Speaker 1: Got it, so I mean yeah.
- 30:00Speaker 1: So I mean people.
- 30:02Speaker 1: I mean people.
- 30:02Speaker 1: The joke is like Texas 8 and 4, you know they've been underwhelming.
- 30:05Speaker 1: I mean Mike's.
- 30:07Speaker 1: Coach Sumlin didn't have a great run there.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Jim Bobs was even worse.
- 30:10Speaker 1: The only thing that's happened to the Texas A&M is they just haven't found the right guy.
- 30:14Speaker 1: When they find the right guy I don't know if it's like a Mike Elko, I don't know if it's a Jeff Trailer, the UTSA guy who's done a really good stuff in Texas with the roadrunners I believe, whatever it's going to be like, if they find the right guy, they are a lethal program.
- 30:29Speaker 1: So I'm very curious to see what that looks like going forward.
- 30:33Speaker 2: This will not be a developmental hire.
- 30:36Speaker 2: No, I don't think you're getting they're not.
- 30:38Speaker 2: They're not firing somebody and paying them 70 plus million dollars to hire a you know D2 up and comer.
- 30:47Speaker 2: This will be.
- 30:48Speaker 2: They need a splash hire and that's what they're going to go for.
- 30:51Speaker 1: I hear them talking about they're going to go go approach the Detroit Lions guy Coach because he's an A&M alumni.
- 30:58Speaker 2: I was going to say they're probably going to offer him a hundred million.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:02Speaker 1: I mean I expect him to say no, say no.
- 31:03Speaker 1: One NFL is obviously not a property program either and he's got six and two they have.
- 31:09Speaker 1: He has a Super Bowl content and alliance.
- 31:11Speaker 1: I don't think that's realistic.
- 31:12Speaker 1: But they're going to make him say no, they're going to, they're going to drop, they're going to probably bring truck on the front yard, say here's a hundred million dollars, do you want?
- 31:18Speaker 2: There's also no reason for an NFL coach to go back to college, if he is even somewhat successful.
- 31:25Speaker 2: The schedules that these college coaches have to run versus what you're able to do in the NFL is worlds different.
- 31:31Speaker 2: You're working literally 24, seven, 365 as a college coach.
- 31:36Speaker 2: You're recruiting nonstop.
- 31:37Speaker 2: You have to kiss the butts of all these 18 year old kids and they're parents, you don't have to do that as a booster, God you can actually have a summer, you can hang out with your family.
- 31:45Speaker 2: You can't do that if you're a college coach.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Yeah, so no, I totally agree with you, I think, unless the only exceptions are people who were like, who were meant for the college game, who love it and like, saban being the big example.
- 31:57Speaker 2: Well, yeah, but also Saban flamed out with the dolphins.
- 31:59Speaker 2: That's how he ended up back yeah.
- 32:01Speaker 1: He was 500 two seasons.
- 32:02Speaker 1: But yes, correct, he was, he wasn't, it was.
- 32:04Speaker 1: He was always meant to be a mentor.
- 32:06Speaker 2: If he would have gone to the playoffs with the dolphins.
- 32:08Speaker 2: He would have not have gone back to the college game.
- 32:11Speaker 1: No, that's interesting.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Take.
- 32:12Speaker 1: All right, let's keep it.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Well, let's keep it rolling.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I wanted to do a quick check in on our preseason preseason unranked to top 25 Louisville, Missouri, Arizona, Oklahoma State, JMU and Liberty.
- 32:23Speaker 1: All six of those teams unranked going to the season are all in the top 25 at week 12.
- 32:28Speaker 1: We've talked about Louisville, Missouri and Oklahoma State and JMU.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Any Arizona or Liberty takes you want to throw out there.
- 32:36Speaker 2: No, I, I what they've.
- 32:37Speaker 2: I mean Liberty is not super surprising.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Yeah, they play golf.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Team schedule.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Yeah, arizona.
- 32:42Speaker 2: That's a nice rebuild there.
- 32:43Speaker 2: No, Vafita, they lost Jane.
- 32:45Speaker 1: DeLour, they lost her quarterback in their backup.
- 32:47Speaker 1: That's one of those rare situations where, like every now and you always, like any, every college fit fan ball, fit football fan base knows this Like the most popular player on the team is the backup.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Most of the time shouldn't be.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Once in a while it's the right one.
- 33:01Speaker 1: And obviously no Vafita I mean Jane DeLour got hurt, obviously he was playing pretty well, but no, vafita is a stud and he's got Arizona surging in a way they shouldn't given their limited talent.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Frankly, absolutely.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Other side preseason ranked top 10, not top 10.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I nailed mine USC they are.
- 33:18Speaker 1: They are flailing.
- 33:19Speaker 1: They can probably drop one more and Clemson Any any takes on that preseason top 10?
- 33:28Speaker 1: Currently unranked USC or Clemson you?
- 33:31Speaker 2: know, I'm I'm not sure, you know, didn't we put A&M in there as well?
- 33:34Speaker 2: Oh, that's right it was?
- 33:37Speaker 1: A&M might have been.
- 33:37Speaker 1: I don't know if they were top 10, but they were a preseason ranked.
- 33:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I think they were maybe 12th or something.
- 33:41Speaker 2: But yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I you know, I think we saw some potential for this to happen for USC.
- 33:51Speaker 1: I didn't volume of quality games right.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Yeah, and their defense.
- 33:54Speaker 2: We were wondering if their defense was going to improve at all.
- 33:57Speaker 2: Clemson, I think, is.
- 34:00Speaker 2: It's a little bit more of a shock to me how drastically that they've fallen off.
- 34:05Speaker 2: You know, when I I think I expected them to maybe take a little bit of a step back but still be in that top 20, you know, 17, 18, 19, 20 have a good season, lose maybe three.
- 34:19Speaker 2: I didn't expect them to do what they've done thus far.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm almost surprised as well.
- 34:25Speaker 1: I USC.
- 34:27Speaker 1: I literally predicted that one, so that's the one that makes sense to me.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Clemson, honestly, I just thought the AC was not that good.
- 34:33Speaker 1: I'm still not convinced it is.
- 34:34Speaker 1: I just frankly just thought their defense would carry them through and I think we had.
- 34:38Speaker 2: We had some hot takes that the ACC was really, really strong this year.
- 34:41Speaker 2: And now, looking at you know, look back after the season, I'm not sure.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Yeah, we had some knee-jerk reactions about you.
- 34:48Speaker 2: And see Louisville's, their Big hope outside Florida State.
- 34:54Speaker 1: After after Louisville, it's North Carolina.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Eight and two, which I don't not really buying given what I've seen out of their defense.
- 35:00Speaker 1: And NC State is the next team at seven and three.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Nc State is not, it's not a good football team, they simply aren't.
- 35:06Speaker 1: So no, we were.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I think you're right.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I think you and I were bullish on Duke, clemson, miami, at least to some extent, even Pitt, who has totally fallen off there.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Two and eight.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Pitt is two and eight, which is just unheard of for me.
- 35:19Speaker 1: They're like a, they're like a Textbook.
- 35:21Speaker 1: Eight and four teams, seven and five team, like every year, like yeah, yeah, usually really solid under Narduzzi and just has not worked out this way.
- 35:28Speaker 1: So there you have it.
- 35:29Speaker 1: We'll talk.
- 35:29Speaker 1: We'll revisit that after the end of the regular season.
- 35:32Speaker 1: We'll do all our peace analysis.
- 35:33Speaker 1: All right, let's jump into it.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Week 12 second to last week college 40 minutes in.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Let's jump into week 12.
- 35:39Speaker 1: That's a good idea.
- 35:40Speaker 1: I'm gonna go ahead and say it Uh, this is not a great week Just for terms of like marquee headline events.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Obviously, I know, george, and it sees a big game for you, but just with the national scale.
- 35:48Speaker 1: And the reason that is is because next week is Arguably the best week of college football it's Thanksgiving week.
- 35:55Speaker 1: It's also often dubbed as rivalry week.
- 35:58Speaker 1: You're gonna see a lot of games Florida, florida State, virginia, virginia Tech, georgia, georgia Tech, michigan, ohio State, obviously the big one or Oregon, oregon State, the Apple Cup, washington, washington State.
- 36:08Speaker 1: There's all of these in-state, in-city the iron bowl, of course, which is really always interesting, like there's so many big games.
- 36:15Speaker 1: So what happens is all these teams to kind of take this scheduling week a little bit light, a little bit off.
- 36:20Speaker 1: So we don't have a lot, but let's go ahead and burn through some quick ones Interesting.
- 36:25Speaker 1: This is a game that you should be playing next week Kansas State at Kansas minus eight.
- 36:29Speaker 1: It's cool that Kansas State and Kansas are both relevant, relevant fighting teams.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I think Kansas defense is woeful.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I was not impressed what I've seen of them recently.
- 36:39Speaker 1: I got K-State covering winning my 10 yeah, yeah, I like K-State here.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Kansas has has been better, a lot better, and a fun team to watch, but Kansas State is the better, the better team here.
- 36:52Speaker 1: Utah at Arizona, arizona minus one Utah.
- 36:55Speaker 1: As coming back off their lost UW 35 set 28.
- 36:59Speaker 1: I like what Arizona is doing.
- 37:00Speaker 1: I think they get a lot of credit Jed fish and no faking a lot of credit for what they're doing.
- 37:04Speaker 1: Utah wins this game.
- 37:06Speaker 1: If they go back to being Utah, which is being super physical, running the ball constantly and just kind of playing that quote grounded pound type game but Arizona doesn't is too light to to counter.
- 37:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know.
- 37:18Speaker 2: I mean the spread is is Arizona?
- 37:21Speaker 1: my minus one.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Yeah, favorite game and I.
- 37:24Speaker 2: I really like Utah here.
- 37:25Speaker 2: I don't I still don't trust Arizona.
- 37:27Speaker 2: They've done some good things.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Utah is, top to bottom, you know, the better program and I like them in a bounce back here, me too.
- 37:35Speaker 1: I think I think I'll winning.
- 37:36Speaker 1: This is the classic game where Kyle winning him Shows how good of a coach he is, which is elite.
- 37:41Speaker 1: He is an elite coach out there doing great things, so it's gonna do.
- 37:44Speaker 1: I think it's done.
- 37:44Speaker 1: You dub at Oregon State.
- 37:46Speaker 1: You dub is a dog on the road at Oregon State, minus two and a half as of right now.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Something is we talked about earlier.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Something is wrong with you dub.
- 37:53Speaker 1: I like Oregon State to win with excellent offensive line in a hostile crowd.
- 37:58Speaker 1: Corvallis is a hornet's nest of hornet's nest out there.
- 38:01Speaker 1: Take a lot of pride and I know they're still mad about the, the pack 12 and pulling there.
- 38:06Speaker 1: One of the two teams are sticking around, obviously.
- 38:09Speaker 1: I've been on the UW all season, the PPP fund.
- 38:11Speaker 1: I think.
- 38:12Speaker 1: I think it's gonna fall for this week.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I got.
- 38:13Speaker 1: I got Oregon State winning this one by by five or six.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I, this one, this one's tough for me because I do.
- 38:21Speaker 2: I mean Washington's looks great, but they have been limping along, they've kind of been scraping by and this is a tough place to play.
- 38:27Speaker 2: I I'm scared to do it, but I think Washington has enough to play for and has enough talent.
- 38:33Speaker 2: I think this is kind of a penix jr Shootout Heisman type moment for them.
- 38:39Speaker 2: One of the things that we haven't talked about as much as I thought we would have it's kind of flying under the radar is DJ oh, we on go away and what he's been able to do, having a nice year.
- 38:48Speaker 1: Yeah, awesome coach.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, funny, how that happens.
- 38:51Speaker 2: So I do think this.
- 38:52Speaker 2: This is another kind of Feather in the cap for Penix Jr.
- 38:56Speaker 2: Maybe it's not enough for them to win.
- 38:58Speaker 2: I think it is.
- 38:59Speaker 1: I think he carries them in a shootout when, as long as you all if it was always you're on a team with Kailin de Boers, your coach, and Michael Panix and those three NFL legitimate wide outs, you've always got a shot there.
- 39:10Speaker 1: There's a world where they throw up some deep balls and they and you know this grunt get in there just better.
- 39:16Speaker 1: They have better guys out.
- 39:17Speaker 2: Why the Oregon State has a defense and if they jump out to an early lead and and and Oregon State has to play catch up.
- 39:23Speaker 2: That's the game could play out in a lot of ways.
- 39:26Speaker 2: If it's a back-and-forth shootout, you know it could go either way obviously.
- 39:30Speaker 2: But yeah, I like Washington.
- 39:33Speaker 1: Louisville at Miami.
- 39:34Speaker 1: It went back and forth.
- 39:35Speaker 1: The line is About a pick them.
- 39:37Speaker 1: This is a big game for Louisville.
- 39:39Speaker 1: Miami season is kind of unraveled a little bit.
- 39:42Speaker 1: I think they're down there back up court by Emory Williams.
- 39:45Speaker 1: I think he was just stepped in, who got hurt.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I'm not sure if he's playing right now.
- 39:48Speaker 1: I Louisville is not that good, but Miami is like super Jekyll and Hyde sometimes they show up, sometimes they don't.
- 39:55Speaker 1: I kind of think both these teams are pretty fraudulent.
- 39:58Speaker 1: For being honest, um, do you have a?
- 39:59Speaker 1: Do you have a leaning on this one?
- 40:00Speaker 1: Louisville, miami, I.
- 40:03Speaker 2: Just yeah, I think Miami's a kind of a tailspin.
- 40:05Speaker 2: This is this kid, I have no idea.
- 40:08Speaker 2: I'll put it that way.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I was dunking on Louisville.
- 40:10Speaker 2: I don't think Miami is very good either, so I'll be interested to to see how it plays out.
- 40:16Speaker 2: I have no read there last three games where they eke out.
- 40:19Speaker 1: That went against UVA 2926.
- 40:21Speaker 1: They lost at NC State inexplicably bad game 20 to 6.
- 40:25Speaker 1: And they lost at Fortis State oh they look, they look better against Fortis State 27 to 20.
- 40:30Speaker 1: This is a stay away for me.
- 40:32Speaker 1: Yeah, louisville has everything to play for.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Miami has a lot to spoil.
- 40:36Speaker 1: My, oh, crystal ball is sitting at 6 and 4.
- 40:39Speaker 1: I know the expectations of Coral Gables are higher than 6 and 4, so he's got to win.
- 40:42Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be a fun game.
- 40:45Speaker 1: I have no idea what's gonna happen.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Uh, unc at Clemson.
- 40:48Speaker 1: Clemson minus six and a half.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Clemson is going to destroy UNC this week.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I'm I can see it coming from a mile away.
- 40:55Speaker 1: They have fixed you by the stock when oh yeah, I'm.
- 40:57Speaker 1: I'm holding.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I've I've diversified more my right now my portfolio is obviously the PPP fund, but I'm diversifying.
- 41:04Speaker 1: I am buying some dabbostock and adding it to my portfolio.
- 41:07Speaker 1: I think they figured some things out on defense and I think you and sees defense is straight up bad.
- 41:12Speaker 1: I think I just they keep having these eggs of performances.
- 41:16Speaker 1: I think Clemson's gonna pound them.
- 41:18Speaker 1: I got Clemson winning by two.
- 41:19Speaker 1: What did you say?
- 41:20Speaker 1: The spread was on this one Clemson minus six and a half.
- 41:22Speaker 1: At home it's when it's in attack?
- 41:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I think.
- 41:25Speaker 2: Well, I think Clemson was a close one, but I think it's because it's at home.
- 41:29Speaker 1: Okay, close game.
- 41:29Speaker 1: So you got, you got some Drake.
- 41:31Speaker 1: May you keep your hold on a little bit Drake May stock too as well.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yeah, I like me some Drake May.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I drink me.
- 41:36Speaker 1: So there you go.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Texas minus seven and a half at Iowa State.
- 41:39Speaker 1: I was think good, they just beat the breaks off of BYU, which isn't saying much.
- 41:43Speaker 1: To be wise, lever a competitive team this year.
- 41:44Speaker 1: But this is one of those games where a Mac Campbell, still an outstanding coach.
- 41:48Speaker 1: Iowa State did wonderful things with Brock Purdy for years.
- 41:51Speaker 1: If Texas doesn't show up, this is the kind of game that they can lose.
- 41:56Speaker 1: I know that Quinn Ewers is back and looks better, but this is the kind of game Texas looking a little suspect.
- 42:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm.
- 42:02Speaker 1: CCU.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Last week we didn't even talk about.
- 42:05Speaker 2: They are show up.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Texas has been kind of limping along, but let's be honest, they've been winning the games that in previous years they probably would have dropped, and this is again At least one of these games.
- 42:13Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and so I.
- 42:14Speaker 2: I like Texas again, I like Quinn Ewers, I think they're a better team.
- 42:18Speaker 2: This is a tough spot.
- 42:19Speaker 2: I wouldn't shock me for I was, I was they to get the win here, but I still trust Texas that.
- 42:25Speaker 2: You know they're nine and one.
- 42:26Speaker 2: They're knocking on the door still.
- 42:28Speaker 2: Everything to play for, yep, because of that.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Yeah, because I wouldn't have Alabama if they win these next to and when the big 12 championship, presuming it's all key state they're in.
- 42:36Speaker 1: I mean that's that's Texas's path.
- 42:37Speaker 1: I think so they're.
- 42:39Speaker 1: They should, they should play.
- 42:41Speaker 1: This might be one of those games where you bet live and you look at the first quarter.
- 42:45Speaker 1: What does Texas look like and like?
- 42:46Speaker 1: If they look like they're, if they look like Texas, they roll.
- 42:49Speaker 1: If they look suspect, they might be a good spot for a live.
- 42:52Speaker 1: But I'm not sure I'm gonna knock it, pick this one.
- 42:53Speaker 1: I really don't know.
- 42:54Speaker 1: I'm picking this one, so I'm gonna go for punch right.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Nebraska at Wisconsin minus four and a half.
- 43:00Speaker 1: Brassicas five and five.
- 43:02Speaker 1: They're playing Wisconsin and Iowa down the stretch.
- 43:04Speaker 1: They got to get one of them.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Couple things one, the backup situation, the quarterback situation.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Wisconsin's worse than I thought.
- 43:11Speaker 1: I know they.
- 43:12Speaker 1: They lost us our quarterback, but lock and they're in the field of wango Also, coordinator, they were not working out yet they got crushed by Northwestern of all teams last week like ugly.
- 43:22Speaker 2: Oh, andy, he hates to see that.
- 43:23Speaker 1: Andy man, they're.
- 43:24Speaker 1: I should have been speaking of coaching hires.
- 43:25Speaker 1: I think they're gonna take the interim tag off that guy.
- 43:27Speaker 1: I think Nebraska's like five and five or something.
- 43:29Speaker 1: I think, I'm sorry, northwestern's like five and five pretty good.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Last week Nebraska lost a very winnable game to Maryland.
- 43:36Speaker 1: They had three different quarterbacks throw an interception in that game.
- 43:39Speaker 1: So my point both of these teams are horrific on offense and it's gonna be.
- 43:44Speaker 1: It's going to be like.
- 43:46Speaker 1: This is a flip-point.
- 43:47Speaker 1: This is Vintage big 10 football, but a bad way.
- 43:51Speaker 1: This is the bad version of big 10 football.
- 43:55Speaker 1: Any Nebraska, wisconsin takes no, I don't.
- 43:59Speaker 2: I don't.
- 43:59Speaker 2: This one's completely off my radar.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Oh, I like Nebraska so much, I'm just I like.
- 44:04Speaker 2: I mean cuz they're kind of that traditional team.
- 44:05Speaker 1: I mean you want to see him get back in there.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I really just like, I just legitimately like Matt rule, I just I like frost too.
- 44:11Speaker 1: So I just I'm hopeful for big.
- 44:12Speaker 2: You know, I was a frost, frost supporter and me too.
- 44:15Speaker 1: Yeah, we were both we but anybody please, child, we try to will that guy.
- 44:20Speaker 1: The wind didn't help.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Yeah, we did.
- 44:21Speaker 1: Last one before the homers UCLA at USC.
- 44:26Speaker 1: As the battle of Los Angeles, usc minus six and a half bad on bad.
- 44:30Speaker 1: Ucla is firing their coach, or has fired their coach, depending on I haven't checked Twitter this morning, it might have been.
- 44:36Speaker 1: I've already be done.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Usc's a touchdown favorite.
- 44:39Speaker 1: Both defenses are terrible.
- 44:41Speaker 1: Bet the over I.
- 44:44Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 44:44Speaker 2: Both, he seems, are no, give me USC.
- 44:46Speaker 2: I know you don't know, I know.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Give me USC.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Give me Caleb Williams.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Okay, give me the.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Give me the superstar.
- 44:51Speaker 2: Give me the talent.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Give me the high-flying offense at home.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Yeah for sure.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Give me Lincoln Riley.
- 44:56Speaker 1: Yeah, it's home, it's a UCLA, so I think.
- 44:58Speaker 1: I know no one's gonna be there, but it's gonna be there, I'll tell it'll yeah, I think both these things like there's, both these teams are in a tailspin and the both these seems like they're gonna fire Chip Kelly.
- 45:06Speaker 1: Chip Kelly experience has not worked out since Oregon.
- 45:09Speaker 1: I don't know where he goes next.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Maybe he gets hired, mr Mr there's still more talent on the roster, top to bottom at USC and and and former Heisman trophy winner.
- 45:19Speaker 1: That's true.
- 45:19Speaker 1: This is true.
- 45:20Speaker 1: Um, so that's, if you're looking for the battle of Los Angeles, that's it.
- 45:23Speaker 1: We would UCLA be a good hire.
- 45:24Speaker 1: Which would Mississippi State?
- 45:26Speaker 1: Would chip Kelly go to Mississippi State?
- 45:28Speaker 1: Would that be?
- 45:29Speaker 1: That'd be a situation that could be fun.
- 45:31Speaker 2: That could be fun.
- 45:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:32Speaker 2: I like chip Kelly.
- 45:33Speaker 1: I like you, kelly too.
- 45:34Speaker 1: It just hasn't worked out.
- 45:35Speaker 1: You see, I'll do the homers.
- 45:36Speaker 1: Uh, UVA verse Duke at home they're my Duke is a field goal and a hook.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Three and a half point favorites.
- 45:45Speaker 1: Um, uva's offense is gonna have to win this game and obviously the you saw them come come up a little bit short against UNC, so know they have an injured, whether it's Calandria or musket.
- 45:55Speaker 1: I'm feeling really good about UVA's offense.
- 45:58Speaker 1: I don't know if they're gonna win, but uh, if UVA scores 40, they probably win.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Uh, I don't know if they're gonna need some help from Scott stadium.
- 46:06Speaker 2: You're gonna have to take off your bow ties.
- 46:08Speaker 2: Make that place a hornet's nest baby.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Let's sway a little faster.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Yeah, let's maybe you know, pick up the pace on that sway a little rowdy in there.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know Duke is still a good team, top to bottom they're, they're hard nose they're, you know, well coached.
- 46:21Speaker 2: You kind of wonder how UVA is feeling after so many gut wrenching.
- 46:27Speaker 2: And you know we didn't even talk about um, um, uh, paris Johnson, paris Jones, yeah.
- 46:35Speaker 1: Injury.
- 46:35Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, his injury Sorry.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Uh, that was horrific and terrible to see and took the wind out of UVA sales last week, so yeah, I don't know.
- 46:42Speaker 1: He did have successful spinal surgery.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I don't know what that means.
- 46:45Speaker 1: He's clearly out for the year, I mean I think.
- 46:46Speaker 1: I think for him it's bigger picture, you know, regaining something.
- 46:49Speaker 1: So obviously we're super hopeful for him and that was terrible.
- 46:52Speaker 1: Yes, awful injury.
- 46:53Speaker 1: You hate to see it.
- 46:54Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I.
- 46:55Speaker 1: Hopefully UVA can continue to offensively surge.
- 46:59Speaker 1: I don't know what's the status of musket's health is, although at this point I can't even say this.
- 47:04Speaker 1: I don't think it matters.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I think I like clandria baby.
- 47:07Speaker 2: I like a both.
- 47:08Speaker 2: He looked good.
- 47:09Speaker 1: I like a both.
- 47:09Speaker 1: Uh, uva's got generally two, two offensive quarterbacks Good for him.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Uh, definitely, definitely.
- 47:14Speaker 1: I mean, if you're looking at it, for you're looking for silver linings in a two and eight season Probably gonna finish three and nine, two and ten, that's it.
- 47:21Speaker 1: I mean the offense has come alive.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Uh, they've looked as good as you can.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Look at two and eight, I agree I best to bet, whatever that means.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Whatever that means, are they the best to win as a hot take?
- 47:31Speaker 1: Is UVA the best to win team in the country?
- 47:34Speaker 2: I, yes, give it to me.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Let's go, let's go, I'll also sign up for that.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Take Virginia Tech Bull Eligible Virginia Tech, how about it?
- 47:42Speaker 1: Welcome back?
- 47:43Speaker 1: Hokies minus two and a half versus NC State at home.
- 47:46Speaker 1: And she states, good or good enough, they're gonna show up.
- 47:49Speaker 1: I like Virginia.
- 47:50Speaker 1: I think Virginia Tech is hitting their stride.
- 47:52Speaker 1: They have found a gear that they haven't had and they've been just handling their business for a while now.
- 47:59Speaker 1: They've won three of the last three, the last four, uh four, the last six, they're only two.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Bad loss for Florida, st Louisville Um, I got Virginia Tech, I got drones, I got that defense playing better, I got tooting around the ball.
- 48:12Speaker 1: Give me the give me, give me the Hokies, the Hokies at home.
- 48:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I like the Hokies because it's at home.
- 48:17Speaker 2: If it was at NC State I'd probably lean the wolf pack, but I like the Hokies mainly getting it done with defense in a close game.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Okay, I think take that.
- 48:24Speaker 1: Uh you, lsu is a 31 point for a favorite home at Georgia State.
- 48:28Speaker 1: This game is not interesting and most people aren't gonna watch it.
- 48:32Speaker 1: The only thing, the only thing, take away from the lsu or state game is what I was talking about earlier.
- 48:39Speaker 1: If you listen to brian kelly's post game comments last week after florida, usually it's coach speak.
- 48:44Speaker 1: Oh, you know, the guys in the locker room are doing great job.
- 48:47Speaker 1: Oh, you know, we're just here, we're excited, we're working for each other.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Oh, grateful for office of love.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Blah, blah, blah.
- 48:51Speaker 1: He was more direct about jade and daniels's lack of heisman attention that I think I've ever heard any coach ever say.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Usually it's oh, we're not playing for that, we're here for the winds, like he was trying to play.
- 49:03Speaker 1: What he's doing is the best thing in the country.
- 49:05Speaker 1: What he's doing, I've never seen anything like it.
- 49:07Speaker 1: I have to speak to it.
- 49:08Speaker 1: Blah, blah, blah.
- 49:10Speaker 1: That that all well and good.
- 49:11Speaker 1: I think lsu is going to run it up against Georgia.
- 49:15Speaker 1: I think they're gonna leave him in.
- 49:16Speaker 1: This is a game they would typically put the backup in at half and but all the beats.
- 49:19Speaker 1: See all the second, third stringers around the same time.
- 49:22Speaker 1: I think you're gonna see jane daniels well into the third and fourth corner.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Lsu over is 10 and 0 on the year and they're minus 31 to, I think, sterling betting opportunities.
- 49:33Speaker 1: If you are somebody who likes to bet responsibly with your free time, lsu over, lsu covering Um, I think.
- 49:38Speaker 1: I think you're gonna see some jane daniels big, big numbers, because we don't have a conference championships.
- 49:43Speaker 1: We only have two more chances to impress voters.
- 49:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 49:46Speaker 2: No, I agree with you there.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Get him, get him some numbers and let the chips fall where they may.
- 49:51Speaker 2: We know that the heisman is a completely fraudulent trophy and means nothing and will probably just be given to whoever Georgia, georgia's best player is, or I mean.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I still think the pack 12 championships gonna be.
- 50:04Speaker 1: It's gonna be.
- 50:04Speaker 1: It's gonna be penics, or I don't think penics are next.
- 50:06Speaker 2: You're gonna play no, I agree, I would not hate either of those guys winning, but um, especially especially penics.
- 50:12Speaker 1: Let me, let me get our new polos man.
- 50:13Speaker 1: The ppp fund is still alive.
- 50:14Speaker 1: So, let's go um all right.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Last one, tennessee, is they are a 10 and a half point dog at home versus Georgia.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Yep, tell me what you got, man.
- 50:26Speaker 2: Georgia is better in every single way.
- 50:28Speaker 2: Um, tennessee looked terrible last week.
- 50:32Speaker 2: Georgia is Surging and looks unbeatable right now, so maybe it's close early.
- 50:39Speaker 2: Um, there is a little magic in neland.
- 50:42Speaker 2: Uh, it's been two years since Tennessee has lost there, uh.
- 50:47Speaker 2: But that being said, uh, georgia wins by multiple scores.
- 50:50Speaker 2: Uh, maybe there's a little hope early, but Georgia is too, too, too, too good and uh, georgia wins by I don't know 17.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Okay, okay, I like I think it's 21 or 40.
- 51:02Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 51:03Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be a little closer than that.
- 51:05Speaker 1: I think hypo um doesn't want to get blown out.
- 51:07Speaker 1: I think he obviously.
- 51:08Speaker 1: I think Georgia is.
- 51:10Speaker 1: While defense is great, you can run the ball on them, which is what Tennessee's gonna do.
- 51:13Speaker 1: Well, obviously, they have to put whatever happened in Missouri behind them, and I do think there's some magic in nail.
- 51:19Speaker 1: I think they're gonna get up.
- 51:20Speaker 1: I think the balls are going to be loud and routing.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Yeah, they will.
- 51:22Speaker 1: It's a night game.
- 51:23Speaker 1: I presume 330, three thirds tbs game of the week.
- 51:26Speaker 1: Okay, fair enough.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Um, I think Tennessee is gonna get up and I think they can hand close.
- 51:30Speaker 1: I don't think they can, I'll agree with you.
- 51:31Speaker 1: I don't think I win this game, and Not so much because I don't think Tennessee is a bad team.
- 51:37Speaker 1: I think they're a good team.
- 51:38Speaker 1: They're not great, they're a good team.
- 51:39Speaker 1: I think Georgia is just hitting their stride and they've dismantled Florida, kentucky, ole Miss.
- 51:45Speaker 2: Yeah, their defense is just too good, even if somehow you know they have a.
- 51:50Speaker 2: Carson Beck has a bad game, turns it over multiple times.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Tennessee is not dynamic enough on offense.
- 51:56Speaker 2: Joe Milton can't do it by himself.
- 51:57Speaker 2: There has to be complementary football and, um, I just don't think they're gonna be able to do that against Kirby smarts defense.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think so either.
- 52:04Speaker 1: All right, that's it for week 12.
- 52:07Speaker 1: Do we miss anything?
- 52:08Speaker 1: You want anything else?
- 52:08Speaker 1: I'm about Rutgers at Penn State, or any other any other game that we failed to mention today.
- 52:13Speaker 2: Oh, let's do a separate pod about Rutgers and Penn State.
