- 0:29Speaker 2: Have come to fun, comes to coy, get it comes
- 0:32Speaker 2: to Mark?
- 0:33Speaker 1: Is it just doing?
- 0:38Speaker 5: I'm gonna do it again.
- 0:39Speaker 4: I'm gonna go on the way.
- 0:40Speaker 2: You may Pill began. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome, You're listening to
- 0:47Speaker 2: the Sports Shock Show. I am the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy.
- 0:51Speaker 2: And today is the day. Uh it's the last day
- 0:56Speaker 2: of June of twenty twenty six. So you halfway to
- 1:02Speaker 2: not accomplishing your goal. All you people started six months
- 1:08Speaker 2: ago with that goal. You got six more months though,
- 1:11Speaker 2: command he said you was gonna drop the way Kenny
- 1:15Speaker 2: said he was gonna drop the alcohol. And now we
- 1:19Speaker 2: got six months. Can y'all get it done? We got
- 1:23Speaker 2: six more months to start, so tomorrow. I never said that.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Remember we had a conversation. We were talking that time,
- 1:29Speaker 2: right there on December thirtieth, you said I must have
- 1:32Speaker 2: been on alcohol if I said that, because I don't
- 1:36Speaker 2: remember saying I was getting off alcohol. Greatly reduced, sir,
- 1:42Speaker 2: it has been greatly reduced, thank you. Half of the
- 1:44Speaker 2: year is gone and it's still raining here in Atlanta
- 1:49Speaker 2: since January. Atlanta is I'm not a global warming conspiracist?
- 1:57Speaker 2: Some are? I would. I believe comanchie Gregg's going to
- 2:01Speaker 2: a couple of meetings. It just gives me that vibe
- 2:04Speaker 2: that he's going, and you think, yeah, he sends out
- 2:07Speaker 2: an email, he's protested. Yeah, he sends out asked questions
- 2:12Speaker 2: so that I'm not invited back. But it does seem
- 2:15Speaker 2: to be at least in the city of Atlanta, we
- 2:18Speaker 2: do a little more cold and rain than twenty years ago.
- 2:26Speaker 2: For some of you that might be of age, remember
- 2:29Speaker 2: when the slogan of this city was hot Atlanta. It
- 2:33Speaker 2: had a heat temperature one of the southern cities outside
- 2:38Speaker 2: of Florida, but still kind of had the heat of
- 2:43Speaker 2: Florida consistently. Especially Yeah yearmer.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It was hot.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Now it is, as we always laugh about, schizophrenic And
- 2:54Speaker 2: in this month of June, I came up with maybe
- 2:57Speaker 2: two days where it didn't rain at all, and the
- 3:03Speaker 2: rest either rained all day or it blew in in
- 3:06Speaker 2: the morning, came through the night the other night. I
- 3:09Speaker 2: know it shut down a lot of flights on Saturday,
- 3:13Speaker 2: like they had to say, yeah, it flooded. It flooded
- 3:16Speaker 2: Interstate seventy five for a while. And it wasn't because
- 3:20Speaker 2: as it traditionally we've seen storm drains get clogged with
- 3:26Speaker 2: highway debris. They've been doing their due diligence and cleaning
- 3:29Speaker 2: it out. It's just been that it was such a
- 3:33Speaker 2: large volume of rain in such a short amount of time,
- 3:36Speaker 2: which is the strange part to me. We've seen, you know,
- 3:39Speaker 2: like the light showers, but now it's like all day
- 3:43Speaker 2: it's sunny. They're from six to about seven thirty's and
- 3:49Speaker 2: I mean the rain is sheets of rain. It's to
- 3:52Speaker 2: rent your winds and all of that. And then about
- 3:55Speaker 2: eight o'clock when you start praying, please don't let that
- 3:58Speaker 2: tree fall on the on my house. Branch fell on
- 4:00Speaker 2: the house this weekend. My wife. Did you hear that?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 4:04Speaker 2: I heard it. You don't want to investigate, not really,
- 4:07Speaker 2: don't for good morning to you. We are glad to
- 4:10Speaker 2: be here with you with a live show, Big Kenny
- 4:13Speaker 2: the Funny man himself, command you Greg in the building.
- 4:16Speaker 2: We are in the summer. Wilmbleton starts to date, first
- 4:22Speaker 2: round of action start. So sit back, relaxed. You know,
- 4:26Speaker 2: it takes two weeks. That means we'll be closing in
- 4:30Speaker 2: on the All Star Game and free agency for the NBA.
- 4:35Speaker 2: So name's going to be on the move. And you
- 4:39Speaker 2: could just tell, like with the NBA things, the money
- 4:43Speaker 2: is just set at a certain dollar amount regardless of performance.
- 4:49Speaker 2: You don't have to actually like be you don't even
- 4:52Speaker 2: have to be a notable, known place. It's what the
- 4:55Speaker 2: market will be, just what the market will bear. So
- 4:57Speaker 2: don't when you see the ticker and it's some name
- 5:00Speaker 2: and you're like, well who is that? It's a seller.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Everybody else is like that. You know you can be
- 5:05Speaker 2: you can literally be the third fourth option, but the
- 5:12Speaker 2: money will hit, yeah like you were. You were the
- 5:16Speaker 2: player of the year last and now I don't want
- 5:19Speaker 2: people to be out there like, oh, you just don't
- 5:21Speaker 2: follow the game. There are people in the NBA be
- 5:24Speaker 2: on some where he come from, you know what I'm saying,
- 5:26Speaker 2: Like they these dudes getting traded and they see these contracts, like, man,
- 5:29Speaker 2: who that dude played? For and he's in the league with.
- 5:32Speaker 6: Us and we don't know it, and they're the salary
- 5:34Speaker 6: cap keeps going up, so those guys, those third fourth
- 5:39Speaker 6: tier guys are getting that money that's kind of I
- 5:44Speaker 6: don't know, leftover. So it does so it seems like, wait,
- 5:49Speaker 6: how this What did this guy do to get that much?
- 5:52Speaker 6: So it's like everyone's gonna get one hundred million dollar contract. Yeah,
- 5:56Speaker 6: it's the function of time. It's it's where the sports
- 5:59Speaker 6: have just gotten so big as far as content, I
- 6:03Speaker 6: mean sport, the sport content, and it seems when I
- 6:07Speaker 6: speak about that, it is the number one content that networks,
- 6:15Speaker 6: whether it be on platforms or on direct TV, the
- 6:20Speaker 6: number they want something to do with. They want a
- 6:23Speaker 6: sports figure to show up, they want to place you know,
- 6:27Speaker 6: most of your ads, who's in them?
- 6:30Speaker 2: Athletes?
- 6:31Speaker 7: You know?
- 6:32Speaker 8: Is because I wonder about this, The NBA is the
- 6:36Speaker 8: league you wonder about the sustainability when we hear about
- 6:40Speaker 8: taxes and growth and all of that stuff. You mean
- 6:42Speaker 8: to tell me that you're gonna pay everybody one hundred
- 6:46Speaker 8: million dollars and I can still go to the game
- 6:49Speaker 8: for the money that I make and buy a ticket.
- 6:53Speaker 2: It doesn't seem like television television revenue have gone through
- 6:57Speaker 2: the really drives salary. Yeah, yeah, that is.
- 7:01Speaker 8: And it's interesting that with twenty four hours streaming, you
- 7:05Speaker 8: don't have to wait for the primetime game to catch
- 7:08Speaker 8: coverage and all of that. You can see whatever sport
- 7:12Speaker 8: you want twenty four hours a day, every.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Day, every day. You can record it, you can go back,
- 7:18Speaker 2: you don't have to be afraid to miss it or
- 7:21Speaker 2: any of that kind of thing. You can watch the
- 7:23Speaker 2: game while you see so many the pickleball and the
- 7:26Speaker 2: corn hole and little sports like that dark warehouse ball.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Now I have to create some kind of content and
- 7:37Speaker 2: listen for those a couple of hours that take me
- 7:40Speaker 2: from game to game or from sport to sport. It's
- 7:44Speaker 2: similar to kind of why the Rock and his partners
- 7:47Speaker 2: keep trying to push the XFXFL. Well, no't uff, it's
- 7:52Speaker 2: not the USFL anymore. They combined, yeah, and they kept
- 7:56Speaker 2: the FL and they dropped out the x X went
- 8:00Speaker 2: with the u u f L. Now sports Jock, we
- 8:03Speaker 2: are missing out on this warehouse softball thing. I mean,
- 8:07Speaker 2: we ain't got to get no uniforms or nothing softball.
- 8:10Speaker 8: They kind of like T shirts T shirts and bucket hats,
- 8:14Speaker 8: T shirts and bucket hats.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:15Speaker 6: Well, because it's not just softball. They also play a cricket,
- 8:21Speaker 6: a form of cricket, and a form of floor hockey.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Okay, so warehouse softball, it's stick with me. It's softball
- 8:31Speaker 2: in a warehouse. That's just it. And it's not real softball.
- 8:35Speaker 2: It's with full ball. Yeah, it's like two on two
- 8:38Speaker 2: wiffleball in a warehouse. What do we call it softball?
- 8:42Speaker 2: You're getting too deep streaming. Now we need content and
- 8:46Speaker 2: we ain't got all that time, sir. We need to
- 8:49Speaker 2: What does what doesifotball have to do with softball?
- 8:51Speaker 8: Well, because it's a team, and i've seen them with
- 8:54Speaker 8: full teams. It's you know, everybody get a base but.
- 8:58Speaker 9: They have that.
- 8:59Speaker 8: Yeah, that's for the pickleball lovers. They like to see
- 9:02Speaker 8: that two on two. That's for the tennis people. But
- 9:04Speaker 8: for the baseball lover who just they give them full teams.
- 9:09Speaker 8: It's not like we got on real uniforms. We got
- 9:12Speaker 8: a T shirt, were drinking a couple of beers, and
- 9:16Speaker 8: they're being sponsored by top sponsors from all platforms of sports,
- 9:22Speaker 8: and it's because they need content. So I think we
- 9:25Speaker 8: should come up with us were how softball team, let's
- 9:29Speaker 8: get in on this, twin.
- 9:32Speaker 9: Come over.
- 9:33Speaker 2: I'm saying, all you have to do is like you hit,
- 9:38Speaker 2: what happened to you don't have to run? Remember when
- 9:40Speaker 2: kickball made this run? If you more comfortable with that,
- 9:43Speaker 2: let's get it. That faded people still, they started trying
- 9:46Speaker 2: to do too much with the kickball, like the lingerie kickball,
- 9:49Speaker 2: like with football, they started trying to add too much
- 9:52Speaker 2: to it. And some of that doesn't really go with
- 9:57Speaker 2: family friendly programming. So I have to put that.
- 10:00Speaker 8: I don't want to uh a niche channel, but or hey,
- 10:05Speaker 8: this major network that has its own streaming network. Yeah,
- 10:09Speaker 8: you'll find the more family friendly sports like the pickleball
- 10:13Speaker 8: and the warehouse soft ball.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Okay, we're I know you've spent a week since I've
- 10:19Speaker 2: seen you. Guys, did either one of you make Jeff
- 10:22Speaker 2: bezos wedding. I was at the reception briefly, briefly, briefly
- 10:28Speaker 2: was this before the protest or ah? You know, I
- 10:31Speaker 2: don't get around the protests and the police show up.
- 10:34Speaker 2: And you know, I ain't saying I got a thing
- 10:36Speaker 2: with protests. It's the police and and you know proximity
- 10:39Speaker 2: to uh Evil. So now I didn't make the protest.
- 10:44Speaker 2: I just dipped in in. I was at the reception
- 10:46Speaker 2: a little bit. Hey Jeff, Hey, uh number two. I
- 10:51Speaker 2: wanted to ask you because when I thought about it,
- 10:54Speaker 2: the price tag of the wedding, wedding, and I mean,
- 10:56Speaker 2: we're talking about that man and that price tag. That's
- 10:59Speaker 2: that is, It's what we the same money were spent.
- 11:02Speaker 2: It's the same money he spent. It's just different calibers
- 11:06Speaker 2: of money. That's what he's the same amount of money
- 11:09Speaker 2: you spent on your wedding. It's equivalent to the same
- 11:12Speaker 2: amount of money he spent on his. Is based on
- 11:14Speaker 2: his wearing amount. Yeah yeah, but we come back from break,
- 11:17Speaker 2: I want to ask you for that dollar amount. What
- 11:22Speaker 2: is the main course of the meal or a fifty
- 11:26Speaker 2: million dollar wedding? What is the thing? I'm gonna give
- 11:28Speaker 2: you a commercial break to think about it. What is
- 11:31Speaker 2: is it the chicken or the state? What is the
- 11:33Speaker 2: main dish when the waiters come around? What is it
- 11:38Speaker 2: that you for fifty million dollars? Okay, we'll be back.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Well to Sports Jock show right after this.
- 11:52Speaker 10: They talk about.

- 15:24Speaker 10: Mister men on the flood, pretty boy, I hear I
- 15:26Speaker 10: come come sent the moments when you want to.
- 15:28Speaker 7: Hurt something, man, I don't have to set something.
- 15:31Speaker 2: About the window for me. Michael Jackson, Shock Show, I'm
- 15:36Speaker 2: the sport Shock Wing Candy. Good morning to you out
- 15:39Speaker 2: there listening. Lane Glad to be here with you. Commander
- 15:41Speaker 2: Greg mc kinney. UH the NBA Draft happened last week.
- 15:45Speaker 2: I know a lot of people finally have shown up
- 15:49Speaker 2: Ace Bailey uh to their protect their perspective team shot fire.
- 15:57Speaker 2: The anonymous these drafts are I don't know anybody. I
- 16:07Speaker 2: realized I don't know anybody, and I'm watching games and
- 16:10Speaker 2: don't remember the names of the people that's playing. Like
- 16:15Speaker 2: it's not like I'm going to games buying a ticket.
- 16:19Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying, buy the ticket, sending in the seat,
- 16:21Speaker 2: looking at the program, and I'm like, I'm looking at
- 16:24Speaker 2: the program, notching it with the number on the jersey,
- 16:27Speaker 2: and I'm still I'm saying, I'm comparing side by side
- 16:33Speaker 2: heading this is this dude from again. And I went
- 16:39Speaker 2: through the top first round. It was like four names
- 16:47Speaker 2: out of the thirty picks that I was like, Okay,
- 16:51Speaker 2: the kid to go to Florida. Okay, you mean in
- 16:53Speaker 2: the second round.
- 16:54Speaker 8: In the first round, see or think about that first
- 16:59Speaker 8: round used to be replete topped the bottom. Everybody you
- 17:02Speaker 8: knew because he's a further boy going in the first
- 17:05Speaker 8: round to the Pelicans.
- 17:07Speaker 2: It didn't matter who you were going to. We knew
- 17:09Speaker 2: the talent that was in the first round. Now, all
- 17:13Speaker 2: those teams you know four players or that I can
- 17:18Speaker 2: say and see their name and instantly knew what they were,
- 17:22Speaker 2: who they were, where they.
- 17:23Speaker 6: Went, times changing. It's a weird combination of the players
- 17:30Speaker 6: that will go in the first round. They were on
- 17:33Speaker 6: teams that were really good, but they didn't play all
- 17:35Speaker 6: that much. But there's some scouts saying, oh, this he's
- 17:39Speaker 6: got all this kind of talent. And then the ones
- 17:41Speaker 6: that we do see that played three four years, they're
- 17:44Speaker 6: all in the second round, and then we may not
- 17:47Speaker 6: see them play that much.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And there was a guy, yeah, a game from Auburn,
- 17:51Speaker 2: Jeri Broom. The entire season they were talking about national
- 17:58Speaker 2: play the year Auburn went deep into the Big Dance,
- 18:05Speaker 2: and then he ends up like the fourth pick of
- 18:07Speaker 2: the second round.
- 18:09Speaker 17: Wow.
- 18:09Speaker 2: And then some kid who played at a junior college
- 18:16Speaker 2: and transferred to a school and only played six games
- 18:19Speaker 2: at that school went number five. You know what I'm saying,
- 18:23Speaker 2: And that really happened.
- 18:25Speaker 8: I can't think of his name right now, but he
- 18:26Speaker 8: was a junior college transfer or community college transfer. He
- 18:31Speaker 8: only played like four or five games where he went,
- 18:35Speaker 8: and then he went to the NBA.
- 18:38Speaker 2: It's just a very interesting and it could be an
- 18:42Speaker 2: age thing. I don't really want to say it's age,
- 18:46Speaker 2: because I paid just as much attention. Like I said,
- 18:49Speaker 2: I go to games, I watched the games. It could
- 18:53Speaker 2: just be like we're saying, it's a function of the
- 18:56Speaker 2: kind of one and done. We used to know him, dudes.
- 19:00Speaker 2: You know we didn't have we didn't have them one two. Yeah,
- 19:03Speaker 2: we had only a couple, so that was a story.
- 19:06Speaker 2: But now when you got one hundred out of one
- 19:09Speaker 2: hundred and thirty guys doing one and done, it's hard
- 19:12Speaker 2: to keep up. Yeah, it typically is that second season
- 19:15Speaker 2: someone some team you didn't see, like a guy that
- 19:19Speaker 2: might be at McNee staked. Yeah, you heard about him
- 19:23Speaker 2: after the season and you was able to catch him
- 19:25Speaker 2: the next season. But now he's in the draft and
- 19:30Speaker 2: you're going, where is mcne state. That's you know, the conversation,
- 19:34Speaker 2: where ist ain't that didn't know? No, that's not Ohio. No,
- 19:38Speaker 2: that's the Michigan McNeice. They got a you know, and
- 19:42Speaker 2: it's confusing. Cooper Flag went number one. That was the
- 19:45Speaker 2: story going into the draft. Most people felt like he
- 19:49Speaker 2: was the number one player. He and his teammates. I
- 19:54Speaker 2: don't know if this is the first time in history.
- 19:57Speaker 2: But the entire start in five of Duke got draft,
- 20:04Speaker 2: I don't know, in the the same draft. Now, it's
- 20:10Speaker 2: happened a couple of times. Well, the whole the whole
- 20:13Speaker 2: team that one particular year. I'm not talking about like
- 20:16Speaker 2: say a Fab five five Christy, where eventually they all went.
- 20:24Speaker 2: I'm talking about this Duke team. The five guys that
- 20:28Speaker 2: started this year all went to the NBA. It all
- 20:31Speaker 2: that draft. It's happened a couple of times.
- 20:33Speaker 8: Okay, because now sports, based on your recommendation. Over the weekend,
- 20:37Speaker 8: I happened to finally catch the movie or a V Ferrari.
- 20:41Speaker 8: I remember you were telling me about that and how
- 20:43Speaker 8: it made an impact on you. I watched it in
- 20:45Speaker 8: one of the most impactful scenes to me was at
- 20:48Speaker 8: the end where he conceded too. And I didn't know
- 20:53Speaker 8: this all the four it's crossed one, two three, that's
- 20:56Speaker 8: the finished line. And that was something that they talked
- 21:00Speaker 8: them into doing kind of thing, And it was for
- 21:04Speaker 8: the photo op. And I'm wondering, do you think that
- 21:06Speaker 8: for future advertising campaigns, let's let's just draft them all.
- 21:12Speaker 8: We'll reach out, you know what I'm saying. I'm sure
- 21:14Speaker 8: they I mean, now they did play ball. I can't
- 21:18Speaker 8: take that away from them. But again, you say it's
- 21:21Speaker 8: happened before, how many times?
- 21:24Speaker 6: The ones I know of for sure is a two
- 21:26Speaker 6: thousand and seven Florida team with Joe q You, Noah Horford,
- 21:31Speaker 6: the two thousand and five North Carolina team with Felton
- 21:38Speaker 6: and mccantz, Shawn May was really the only those are
- 21:45Speaker 6: the ones that come off the top of my head
- 21:46Speaker 6: that I know.
- 21:47Speaker 8: Of, because this past year, remember the campaign with the
- 21:50Speaker 8: guys from Villanova, Like, yeah, there were several guys all
- 21:54Speaker 8: played for the Knicks and then they were going up
- 21:56Speaker 8: against was it. I can't remember who the other team was,
- 22:00Speaker 8: but they had a guy who used to play with
- 22:03Speaker 8: them in college and they all kind of met up.
- 22:05Speaker 6: And yeah, yeah, they're I think they were playing Minnesota.
- 22:09Speaker 6: The Vincenzo used to play for the Knicks and they
- 22:11Speaker 6: all went to villing Over together. Right, So, well, NBA
- 22:15Speaker 6: Draft is in the books, Free agency will start. I
- 22:19Speaker 6: did see that Lebron James is gonna stay with the Lakers.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Trade expected trade for year twenty expected trade for Lebron? Hey,
- 22:29Speaker 2: hey didn't we didn't we get Christap? We ain't talking
- 22:34Speaker 2: about Christo. He's gonna seven games. I don't know that twin.
- 22:40Speaker 2: He ain't even got here yet.
- 22:41Speaker 6: Folk, You got some inside because he said it with
- 22:45Speaker 6: some confidence. He said, we're looking looking at the the
- 22:48Speaker 6: with the roster like it was. This was a thing
- 22:50Speaker 6: leading up to he had to make a decision if
- 22:52Speaker 6: he's going to opt in. But if he opts in,
- 22:55Speaker 6: then it's like that second Apron thing with the salary cap.
- 22:58Speaker 6: They really can't do anything. They can't sign players sorry,
- 23:03Speaker 6: as far as free agents. They can't trade anybody and
- 23:06Speaker 6: take on more money just so they can pay others
- 23:09Speaker 6: like they're stuck. If with Lebron opting in, like they
- 23:13Speaker 6: gotta trade him so they can get some relief.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Wow, be back, push.
- 23:32Speaker 4: And don't boy, Wayne Board of the Sports Josh Hill
- 23:39Speaker 4: with Wayne Dandie is coming up next.
- 23:42Speaker 18: Oh Brad's buzzed.
- 23:44Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, he's starting with the woots.
- 23:48Speaker 1: And now a speech.
- 23:50Speaker 11: I just want to say that friendship is about heart,
- 23:53Speaker 11: art and brain.
- 23:55Speaker 2: Who's with me? Good thing is he knows when he's buzzed,
- 23:58Speaker 2: and my brain is saying, and it's time to go home.
- 24:01Speaker 4: Somebody call me a ride.
- 24:02Speaker 19: Love that guy, me too, know your buzzed warning signs
- 24:06Speaker 19: call for a ride when it's time to go home.
- 24:08Speaker 4: Buzz driving is drunk driving.

- 25:43Speaker 21: Sports jock dot com. And now back to the sports jib,
- 25:50Speaker 21: Wayne Gandy.
- 25:54Speaker 2: In the red zone. Yeah yeah, I ain't.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Weak.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Back to this one shock show up, this one shock
- 26:26Speaker 2: winging game. Be good morning to you. Wimbledon starting its
- 26:30Speaker 2: first day. We can see here on the television people
- 26:34Speaker 2: are out starting the morning off. Two weeks to a
- 26:38Speaker 2: champion free agency starting in the n B A comanche.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Greg has pushed all his chips into the middle that
- 26:46Speaker 2: Lebron James will be traded this season at some point
- 26:51Speaker 2: because a second wave what did you call it? Second
- 26:54Speaker 2: wave clause an April second April apron clause. Now it
- 26:58Speaker 2: does that don't sound like us an inside information. We've
- 27:01Speaker 2: never heard that before. I'm reading that. It says that
- 27:04Speaker 2: Lebron James has a no trade clause in his contract,
- 27:10Speaker 2: So whatever, I guess would have to go through him
- 27:13Speaker 2: at some point for it to make sense. And I
- 27:20Speaker 2: don't know if I'm the Lakers, I mean, unless he
- 27:22Speaker 2: asked for the trade. I just sold the team. I'm
- 27:27Speaker 2: the new owner. Do I push off the biggest piece,
- 27:32Speaker 2: steal the biggest draw, steal because next year, I'm gonna
- 27:38Speaker 2: give you this year. Now, if he wins the championship,
- 27:40Speaker 2: after this season, he'll probably retire at the parade. If
- 27:47Speaker 2: he doesn't win the championship this year, you'll find him
- 27:51Speaker 2: doing his retirement tour, not Kobe. And you know, like, yeah,
- 27:57Speaker 2: I thought about that, the retired ring, and you know
- 28:00Speaker 2: that last year with City City everybody, we're gonna really
- 28:05Speaker 2: show out in Cleveland, you know that kind of stuff.
- 28:07Speaker 2: And as an owner, don't I want him to do
- 28:09Speaker 2: that in my uniform, my uniform, I just I just
- 28:16Speaker 2: you got to pick one or the other. Though a
- 28:19Speaker 2: Lakers though, we can pick winning a championship or Lebron's
- 28:25Speaker 2: retirement tour. Well, see, this is what I'm saying.
- 28:28Speaker 6: I mean, you can go back to, you know, going
- 28:30Speaker 6: after a championship for sure after he retires. But as
- 28:33Speaker 6: far as if he plays this year or beyond this year,
- 28:38Speaker 6: you're probably not winning a championship.
- 28:40Speaker 2: And well, I said this year he will chase a championship.
- 28:45Speaker 2: This will be his last year chasing a championship. If
- 28:49Speaker 2: he wins that championship, he'll retire, right. He won't need
- 28:55Speaker 2: the farewell to he'll just drop the mic. It's broke,
- 28:59Speaker 2: smoking and everything. No, no, don't touch it, give it
- 29:02Speaker 2: a minute to cool off. And you know he's gonna
- 29:04Speaker 2: call this boy. Yeah. The Union people like, man, it's
- 29:08Speaker 2: over Smith and they're gonna take their shirt shirts off
- 29:11Speaker 2: and just travel the world the shirt. He's the best.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Believe he's not gonna come back. No reason. He put
- 29:16Speaker 2: it together this year for some guy. I don't care
- 29:18Speaker 2: if he said the Lakers or go back to Cleveland
- 29:21Speaker 2: or no matter where he lands. If he wins the championship,
- 29:23Speaker 2: there won't be a farewell tour. He's gone. I think
- 29:29Speaker 2: I think he's secretly that that fair world that he
- 29:33Speaker 2: wants that tour, he'll he'll walk away, and why why
- 29:39Speaker 2: why would I come back? And if he doesn't win,
- 29:42Speaker 2: then the jersey I left in Folklore, Yeah, to leave
- 29:48Speaker 2: with it for twenty one seasons. After twenty he's going
- 29:55Speaker 2: in the year twenty three, twenty three, and I can
- 29:58Speaker 2: still bring home a championship. If you think I'm finna
- 30:00Speaker 2: be Michael Jordan is gonna play baseball in the middle
- 30:03Speaker 2: of it, I didn't. I didn't watched and learned.
- 30:07Speaker 8: I'm not about to tank my mythology any with any
- 30:13Speaker 8: brush of the.
- 30:17Speaker 2: You can say that doesn't say great with Aaron Rodgers,
- 30:19Speaker 2: right if things would have went the way Aaron Rodgers
- 30:21Speaker 2: thought that first year. Aaron Rodgers is just doing what
- 30:25Speaker 2: he's doing because that achilles set him back. I don't
- 30:29Speaker 2: want to, but he went to the Jets to see
- 30:31Speaker 2: if that Jet team that had the components, and when
- 30:37Speaker 2: he couldn't do that, he just decided, I'll just get
- 30:40Speaker 2: the money. But if he could have went out there
- 30:43Speaker 2: and threw the ball around and played that season and
- 30:48Speaker 2: take him in a Lobardi home, he'd have left too.
- 30:50Speaker 2: But I'm just saying if Lebron does not win this year.
- 30:55Speaker 2: The next year he's on a retirement tour. But we're
- 30:59Speaker 2: selling the jerseys, the jackets and to sell out and
- 31:04Speaker 2: every city goes to the mayor and the governor. But
- 31:08Speaker 2: he doesn't need that.
- 31:09Speaker 6: If you want a championship, I understand it would be
- 31:12Speaker 6: hard to retool the roster for this upcoming season. So there,
- 31:20Speaker 6: like I said there, it's hard for them to for
- 31:22Speaker 6: things that if they want to make trades or anything
- 31:24Speaker 6: like that, it would be really hard to do that.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Sports On the last day of June our online listeners, Uh,
- 31:32Speaker 2: Charlie said that if you were from France, you would
- 31:35Speaker 2: know everybody in the draft. That's why if you speak
- 31:40Speaker 2: you were yeah, then you'd be like me, yeah, one
- 31:48Speaker 2: on me.
- 31:49Speaker 8: And then Jared said, uh that Lebron is going to
- 31:53Speaker 8: the Knicks to be a player, head coach, player slash
- 31:56Speaker 8: head coach.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Hm hmm, what what are the knicksy? I've heard all
- 32:01Speaker 2: kind of different. I think the nixt biggest thing is
- 32:06Speaker 2: they made the job unattractive. You can make a job unattractive, Yeah, yeah,
- 32:11Speaker 2: you can. It's not because of the players or their GM.
- 32:17Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. It used to be regardless
- 32:19Speaker 2: of the record or the owner. You were getting an
- 32:22Speaker 2: opportunity to head coach the Knicks, But how you treated
- 32:27Speaker 2: the last coach, a non controversial coach and like he
- 32:32Speaker 2: was had on a three piece suit like pat Riley
- 32:35Speaker 2: and some jail right with a mistress at home and
- 32:40Speaker 2: two wives. None of that. Tom got patted down a
- 32:43Speaker 2: couple of times. New guys doing security didn't even recognize that, Hey,
- 32:48Speaker 2: old man, come over here with the boss fot. No,
- 32:50Speaker 2: I'm I don't care who you are.
- 32:53Speaker 7: You on the.
- 32:56Speaker 2: Sir, I'm kind of new here. I think you've been
- 32:59Speaker 2: here twenty three years. No, I'm saying I'm kind of
- 33:01Speaker 2: new to you. Though he didn't. He was just a
- 33:03Speaker 2: basketball coach, just a coach. He ain't got no store line,
- 33:08Speaker 2: he ain't got no no bag redemption story. He was
- 33:11Speaker 2: just winning.
- 33:13Speaker 9: So and.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Why do I come take this job? Yeah? Because it's
- 33:20Speaker 2: like you have no margin for air, Like what are
- 33:23Speaker 2: the expectations? Yeah? And it was a fan.
- 33:26Speaker 6: The Knicks had not been to the conference finals in
- 33:28Speaker 6: twenty five years, and they make it.
- 33:31Speaker 2: And Jared said, Dolan has made the nick job poison.
- 33:35Speaker 6: Exact and now, I mean and even the most.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Dedicated, driven just push to succeed and go where no
- 33:50Speaker 2: one has gone before. Individual will look at a job
- 33:52Speaker 2: like that and come now, man, I mean this dude
- 33:55Speaker 2: did as much as you could do and they still
- 33:57Speaker 2: cut him loose. I don't want that pressure. I saw
- 34:01Speaker 2: a coach that got the most out of a team.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I saw the Knicks the whole season that the one
- 34:07Speaker 2: thing caught up with him. I said it when they
- 34:09Speaker 2: lost was just simply they had built the team like
- 34:13Speaker 2: some teams do, like kind of what commanchie greg the
- 34:16Speaker 2: Lakers have been in this We only have a starting five,
- 34:19Speaker 2: that's it. And that's what the Knicks. They just had
- 34:24Speaker 2: five guys, which does who trusted and that's who just
- 34:29Speaker 2: trusted vibe guys. Yeah, you know, and he ended up
- 34:31Speaker 2: and that's what kind of because when he needed somebody else,
- 34:35Speaker 2: he did, And so he tried to start regulating heart
- 34:38Speaker 2: to the bench, try to get some bench. But then
- 34:40Speaker 2: the guy that goes in for him, he was the
- 34:43Speaker 2: only reserve I had. So really I still only had
- 34:46Speaker 2: the five. Yeah. So but I think that's an unattractive job.
- 34:50Speaker 2: But Lebron James being in New York as a player, sure,
- 34:55Speaker 2: I think they you know, I think that's not a
- 34:57Speaker 2: bad idea if you're gonna make that, But why would
- 35:00Speaker 2: Lebron want to go there? Yeah, it's New York. I
- 35:03Speaker 2: wouldn't leave Lakers to go to New York. Yeah, I
- 35:06Speaker 2: mean the same It's basically the same opportunities, the same platform,
- 35:12Speaker 2: just the change in weather. I would rather stay where
- 35:14Speaker 2: it's nice all the time, and also where you live,
- 35:18Speaker 2: where everything is. You've been there for eight years. I
- 35:21Speaker 2: don't see the attractiveness of going to play with the Knicks.
- 35:24Speaker 2: It'd be interesting to see, as Greg said, see if
- 35:28Speaker 2: he gets traded. But a lot of people are going
- 35:29Speaker 2: to be on the move. We see that the Celtics
- 35:32Speaker 2: are having to let go a couple of people. They
- 35:33Speaker 2: traded Drew Holiday to Portland. Yes, and they traded por
- 35:39Speaker 2: Zingis here to Atlanta. I thought that was going to
- 35:42Speaker 2: be some kind of signing trade because Atlanta rarely is
- 35:46Speaker 2: able to keep anyone of note. There's been a couple
- 35:51Speaker 2: of big names, but they always be in passing. They
- 35:54Speaker 2: signed here to be released. The thing with por zingis
- 35:58Speaker 2: even the Celtics found that out. Regardless of how he
- 36:03Speaker 2: comes into camp, it's still gonna be just a certain
- 36:06Speaker 2: amount of games you're gonna get from no matter what
- 36:11Speaker 2: you do, and he kind of ties. But it's a
- 36:13Speaker 2: big move for Atlanta if they can get him out
- 36:16Speaker 2: here to to put him on the floor and see
- 36:19Speaker 2: what he can do with Trey Young anybody else moving
- 36:23Speaker 2: in a big way.
- 36:25Speaker 22: Uh.
- 36:25Speaker 6: The only other trade heard about recently is Lonzo Ball
- 36:30Speaker 6: traded to Cleveland. Why why would I trade for Lonzo Ball?
- 36:38Speaker 2: They?
- 36:38Speaker 6: I think Cleveland needed a bigger guard and made it
- 36:43Speaker 6: the health they will. They'll deal with that later, but
- 36:48Speaker 6: needed a bigger.
- 36:49Speaker 2: I can't deal I can't deal with that later. I
- 36:51Speaker 2: have to deal with that up front. Things in the
- 36:53Speaker 2: last year of his contract as well. But you haven't
- 36:56Speaker 2: finished a season if you if we google Lonzo Ball,
- 37:02Speaker 2: we could easily bet he's never played. He's never finished
- 37:06Speaker 2: the season. No, I mean he he well, he finished
- 37:11Speaker 2: this last season, but he didn't play until like January.
- 37:15Speaker 2: I think okay, I thought he heard. But the guy
- 37:21Speaker 2: that they got, the guy that they traded a Coro.
- 37:24Speaker 2: He had a lot of injuries Auburn. He's had some
- 37:29Speaker 2: injuries too, so it was kind of even trade mass
- 37:32Speaker 2: Unit for mass Unit. I got you. We'll be back
- 37:34Speaker 2: with more than a sports jock show right after this.

- 40:03Speaker 22: And now back to the sports Giant wing gay between
- 40:27Speaker 22: lock as so you can see the sports jaint. I'll
- 40:31Speaker 22: sing even.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Canny Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the
- 40:36Speaker 2: sport Shock winge gandee uh. Geno Smith, the lead quarterback
- 40:44Speaker 2: for the Vegas Raiders down in Florida and then seven
- 40:49Speaker 2: on seven Championship. And I bring this up because we
- 40:53Speaker 2: have seen with these seven on seven Football Championship a
- 40:59Speaker 2: lot of em. Over the last couple of years. We've
- 41:04Speaker 2: seen people like Cam Newton go into a full blown fight.
- 41:09Speaker 2: I want to say, Terrell Owen slaps somebody as a
- 41:13Speaker 2: kid a couple of years ago where something said something
- 41:15Speaker 2: to him. We've had some incidents, and over the weekend
- 41:19Speaker 2: Geno Smith finding himself in another predicament.
- 41:27Speaker 1: I want to.
- 41:29Speaker 2: I want you paint a big book. I want to
- 41:32Speaker 2: bring the big book.
- 41:36Speaker 1: I'm doing.
- 41:39Speaker 2: I want to pay the big book. That was Geno
- 41:45Speaker 2: Smith yelling after winning the Seven on seven Championship with
- 41:52Speaker 2: his team down in South Florida. And I guess a
- 41:58Speaker 2: fan must have said something about his game. I don't know.
- 42:04Speaker 2: He went to the money component, which you know, some
- 42:09Speaker 2: certain guys, certain personalities, do where they try to make
- 42:14Speaker 2: that seem like that decreases whatever the other person said.
- 42:19Speaker 2: We don't have what the person led to him screaming this,
- 42:23Speaker 2: but he had to be held back by security. His
- 42:27Speaker 2: express team one thirty six to twenty one over raw Miami.
- 42:35Speaker 2: But seven on seven guys, what's the issue with him?
- 42:39Speaker 2: Have you been to any lately. I've never been to
- 42:44Speaker 2: a seven on seven. You do know how it operates,
- 42:48Speaker 2: right for the people that don't know, how does it operate? Basically,
- 42:56Speaker 2: it is what we call past drill. It's uh, no
- 43:07Speaker 2: d lineman, no old lineman. Outside of someone hiking the ball.
- 43:14Speaker 2: It gives a poor to me. It teaches poor technique,
- 43:24Speaker 2: and it makes players. It makes scouts see something that
- 43:34Speaker 2: is not necessarily theirs. You know, once you remove the
- 43:38Speaker 2: big guys in the middle or quarterback, everything, nobody's rushing you.
- 43:43Speaker 2: You feel safe. So is it poor technique for a
- 43:46Speaker 2: quarterback or for like everyone everyone because you route shorter
- 43:52Speaker 2: where people with bodies would be. And these are all
- 43:56Speaker 2: professional players, these are high school players. Seven on seven leagues.
- 44:03Speaker 2: They're played all around the country a lot of times.
- 44:05Speaker 2: They do have these big Geno's team was called South
- 44:09Speaker 2: Florida Express, and he just sponsors the team or coaches
- 44:14Speaker 2: them with some of them sponsors, some of them are
- 44:16Speaker 2: the coaches. Well, I think in Geno's case he was
- 44:19Speaker 2: the coaching of the team. In Cam Newton's I think
- 44:24Speaker 2: he sponsors or five teams and then he coaches one.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I know, Jamal lewis a lot of guys, a lot
- 44:34Speaker 2: of skilled guys, because that's what you have out there,
- 44:36Speaker 2: the receivers, the tight end, running back, and it's just
- 44:40Speaker 2: a past drill. It's just a past drill. It's where
- 44:45Speaker 2: if you go to a college, pro, even high school,
- 44:48Speaker 2: there's a point where just the receivers, quarterbacks, cornerbacks, they
- 44:52Speaker 2: go down and they called it seven on seven, okay,
- 44:57Speaker 2: and the old nine D line. We go down and
- 44:59Speaker 2: do one on one and then when that's over we
- 45:03Speaker 2: go to team. But I was just a temperament of
- 45:07Speaker 2: Gino And if you get a chance to see the
- 45:09Speaker 2: video having to be held back, I don't and I
- 45:14Speaker 2: wish we had what it was was said to take
- 45:17Speaker 2: him off like that. But if I was, I don't
- 45:21Speaker 2: know why the guys get so upset. Do you think
- 45:24Speaker 2: it's just because that's the environment. They get back in
- 45:28Speaker 2: that brag adocious Uh yeah, I was gonna say, do
- 45:31Speaker 2: you think it's the trash talking. I know you're not
- 45:33Speaker 2: finna talk to me out there like this because you
- 45:37Speaker 2: ain't me. You can't do what I do.
- 45:39Speaker 8: You're not me, man, and these dudes respect me, and
- 45:43Speaker 8: you're trying to make me like a regular guy.
- 45:45Speaker 2: I'm not a regular guy.
- 45:47Speaker 10: Man.
- 45:47Speaker 2: I'm out here. I should be revered for this.
- 45:50Speaker 17: Man.
- 45:51Speaker 2: They pay me the big bucks. They pay me the
- 45:53Speaker 2: big bucks. Next week I'll be on fries. And it
- 46:00Speaker 2: just seems.
- 46:03Speaker 8: Outside of ego what you place at the feet of
- 46:07Speaker 8: these activities. I mean, Cam Newton scraped up with some kids.
- 46:11Speaker 8: He wasn't out there fighting grown men, I mean, and
- 46:14Speaker 8: had physically gotten into way back and forth. I'm tussling
- 46:19Speaker 8: with you, You tussling with me with the little weird
- 46:22Speaker 8: cowboy Indian hat thing on. It was, I'm saying now,
- 46:26Speaker 8: and this is when you just said that it's not
- 46:30Speaker 8: other professional athletes kind of struck me in that I
- 46:34Speaker 8: thought you were out here and y'all were just doing the.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Almost summer league thing and and the thing I'm I noticed,
- 46:42Speaker 2: like even when off I watch a Big Three game,
- 46:47Speaker 2: the intensity, the home town gym type attitude comes out
- 46:55Speaker 2: more than the NBA forum state farmed. They don't it's
- 47:01Speaker 2: five on five and they're in their uniforms. They don't
- 47:05Speaker 2: have that. But if you put him in that three
- 47:07Speaker 2: on three, it's a lot of posturing that comes out.
- 47:12Speaker 2: And it seems in seven on seven with people like Gino,
- 47:16Speaker 2: I think maybe they're representing or trying to make sure
- 47:20Speaker 2: you don't forget this is where I'm from sometimes, like,
- 47:25Speaker 2: don't let the television fool you. I'm about that life.
- 47:29Speaker 2: I'm about this. This is my grassroot. That's the only
- 47:34Speaker 2: thing I can see well.
- 47:36Speaker 8: And I guess I get confused because if I come
- 47:41Speaker 8: out here to play a little seven on seven, I'm
- 47:43Speaker 8: projecting that because I'm hoping to I'm saying. I'm saying
- 47:48Speaker 8: as a participant, I might be that way because I'm
- 47:51Speaker 8: hoping to impress my coach. I'm hoping for him to
- 47:55Speaker 8: see in me what's in him that got him where
- 47:57Speaker 8: he is.
- 47:58Speaker 2: But if I'm the coach, get like me, y'all see this, Hey, No,
- 48:03Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying, what's understood. Don't have to
- 48:07Speaker 2: be explained. Everybody's questioning how you get that much money? Gino,
- 48:11Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying.
- 48:11Speaker 8: We know you got the money, and you actually out
- 48:13Speaker 8: here jumping in people's faces about it.
- 48:16Speaker 2: We'll be back well the Sports Jock Show after this.
- 48:21Speaker 7: Boy Boy, fun joyoylock Boy.
- 48:26Speaker 2: Where you live by yourself? Can I move with you?

- 50:39Speaker 4: And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gamby.
- 50:45Speaker 17: Center cord on sports news gossip blah blah blah blah blah.

- 51:17Speaker 2: Shock Guayne gain dimissic will make a party rocks like
- 51:24Speaker 2: that too. Missy like everybody be acting like she ain't
- 51:27Speaker 2: who she is, you see what I'm saying. But she humble,
- 51:30Speaker 2: she laid back, and everybody be like, miss we want
- 51:33Speaker 2: to leave off the list, off the list, And then
- 51:35Speaker 2: everybody hey man, she she go hey, and then everybody
- 51:38Speaker 2: be like, who your friends? She kind of lange shout
- 51:41Speaker 2: there from the beginning again and then they like coming
- 51:43Speaker 2: to the stage, Missy elliet.
- 51:48Speaker 19: Is that.
- 51:50Speaker 2: If that doesn't look quieter? And then the look girl
- 51:54Speaker 2: from the corner, Greig don't want to put on the list,
- 51:59Speaker 2: but you know, give yourself some missing visical getting the
- 52:03Speaker 2: party going. I'm saying, now, if you gonna have a list,
- 52:05Speaker 2: she gotta go along it. She's gonna get the party
- 52:07Speaker 2: going because you ain't gonna sit there along with that
- 52:10Speaker 2: when that drop right right, Because by all metrics, she
- 52:13Speaker 2: is impactful. She has produced and written and arranged and
- 52:19Speaker 2: performed some of the hottest bangers in music.
- 52:23Speaker 1: Early on in the.
- 52:23Speaker 2: Show, I ask because nothing was more celebrated as far
- 52:31Speaker 2: as the entertainment world than a wedding that got protests.
- 52:36Speaker 2: I mean were talking about even people. Was the city
- 52:40Speaker 2: that the wedding was in. The people did not want
- 52:43Speaker 2: it there. They protest a couple of times over in Venice.
- 52:47Speaker 2: But Jeff Bezos, ain't that supposed to be for people
- 52:50Speaker 2: at the wedding? Like if you have any reason they
- 52:52Speaker 2: shouldn't be married? Speak now like folks have taken that
- 52:55Speaker 2: to just protesting.
- 52:57Speaker 1: Don't get mad.
- 52:57Speaker 2: Well, I was imagining, I guess, and I don't know
- 53:01Speaker 2: what it was that drove these people out. They said yes,
- 53:06Speaker 2: but I would imagine Venice wasn't for sale, was there?
- 53:10Speaker 2: But I was imagined that he must not have been
- 53:16Speaker 2: using a lot of their vendors. I don't know. You know,
- 53:20Speaker 2: when you go to a place like that.
- 53:22Speaker 8: But you know, and which is odd because he's flying
- 53:26Speaker 8: in everything right up. But you know he had five
- 53:30Speaker 8: hotels reserved. When it comes to the gondolas or the
- 53:36Speaker 8: water taxis hit reserved, thirty of those.
- 53:39Speaker 2: So some of this, well now sometimes people don't like,
- 53:43Speaker 2: how many gondolas do we have? Yeah, and see that
- 53:46Speaker 2: was the part I remember going early mid nineties down
- 53:51Speaker 2: to can Kun, a record label owned by a guy
- 53:55Speaker 2: that's on trial called bad Boy.
- 53:58Speaker 4: And what can kon?
- 54:02Speaker 2: Back then it was a Memorial Day celebration. Uh, it
- 54:05Speaker 2: was great for two or three years, and then bad
- 54:08Speaker 2: Boy came in and they would rent everything. So it
- 54:14Speaker 2: kind of froze everybody out right kind of mindset. So
- 54:19Speaker 2: when you say the gondolas and stuff like that, it
- 54:23Speaker 2: becomes did you like basically consider it on the freeze? Yeah,
- 54:31Speaker 2: And that's what's their thing.
- 54:32Speaker 8: They said that Venice wasn't for sale, Like you're coming
- 54:36Speaker 8: in here and basically buying up all of the services
- 54:39Speaker 8: that we would be dispensing to just regular customers who
- 54:42Speaker 8: come all the time. There are hundreds of millions of
- 54:45Speaker 8: people that go to Venice every year, and here you
- 54:49Speaker 8: are coming in and you've gotten all the gondolas in
- 54:52Speaker 8: the hotels, and so where do people enjoy themselves while
- 54:56Speaker 8: you're taking up the city for your one event?
- 54:59Speaker 2: And the thing come on, we were talking and discussing,
- 55:02Speaker 2: is with the dollar amount that mister Bezos and it's
- 55:09Speaker 2: not a shocking dollar amount for a man like that
- 55:12Speaker 2: who lives on.
- 55:13Speaker 9: I thought it was.
- 55:14Speaker 2: I thought it was kind of modest million. I thought
- 55:17Speaker 2: for a man who's who can give away thirty billion
- 55:20Speaker 2: dollars and still have a fifty million dollar wedding, I
- 55:23Speaker 2: thought that was kind of modest because he's still you know, well,
- 55:26Speaker 2: I'll imagine it was that because he probably didn't have
- 55:29Speaker 2: so many yes, yeah, that he was inviting. Yeah, it
- 55:33Speaker 2: kept it a little down. But what would be the
- 55:36Speaker 2: main course? What's what's the main course on a meal
- 55:41Speaker 2: or or bezos sweating? What do you say? Is it
- 55:47Speaker 2: standard just the filet with the coffee grinds on top?
- 55:51Speaker 2: Or could you does it come like you cam O hump?
- 55:56Speaker 2: What do you I mean? Should there be something more
- 55:59Speaker 2: exciting then just chicken or beef or fish you can
- 56:04Speaker 2: get you know, Calmo hump, there's monkey Paul, you could
- 56:07Speaker 2: get some shark fins super fifty dollars. I'm not saying
- 56:16Speaker 2: you can tell people about it. But what I'm saying
- 56:18Speaker 2: now you can get some monkey paul you can't and
- 56:22Speaker 2: then maybe shark fin soup. I would I would feel like, man,
- 56:25Speaker 2: this is gonna be But you know, and they put
- 56:28Speaker 2: the fried chicken in front of me. I'm looking like,
- 56:30Speaker 2: we coulda did this in La We coulda did this
- 56:33Speaker 2: around the corner from the house. Why did we come
- 56:35Speaker 2: all the way here for? Is this baby the rare
- 56:39Speaker 2: u wagou steak? Yeah?
- 56:44Speaker 8: No, No, I get when it comes to beef, people
- 56:48Speaker 8: can have tears of beef. But there is no second
- 56:53Speaker 8: apron of chicken. You know what I'm saying.
- 56:55Speaker 2: There's no that's just chicken, and you can get it
- 56:57Speaker 2: prepared different ways. They don't know. There's yeah, free range,
- 57:02Speaker 2: free range, that's just chickens. Or quiz chickens that what
- 57:07Speaker 2: these quiz No, No, free range chickens are just chickens.
- 57:14Speaker 2: Not in the alps, are you right? The air they
- 57:17Speaker 2: breathe be a little bit different in the flavor. I
- 57:20Speaker 2: don't know. I don't know that stuff they tell people
- 57:23Speaker 2: with fifty million dollars.
- 57:24Speaker 8: That's what I'm saying extra oxidents or and see it
- 57:27Speaker 8: sounds like, yes, these.
- 57:31Speaker 2: Chickens came from the Alps, and people be thinking chickens
- 57:33Speaker 2: can't survive in the Alps. You know, the air's too thin.
- 57:36Speaker 2: We never think about oxygen, you know, that kind of stuff.
- 57:40Speaker 2: See see, and that's what that's where the price goes.
- 57:43Speaker 2: That genetically modified.
- 57:44Speaker 8: That's what that's what oxygen, that's what you're paying for.
- 57:48Speaker 8: So you're going with what the main course, waggle beef.
- 57:54Speaker 8: I would say, swordfish came to mind? Sword fish, door fish? Okay,
- 58:02Speaker 8: what would you think? I would think it was some
- 58:05Speaker 8: type of seafood. More line, probably.
- 58:10Speaker 2: Some rare species of lobster somewhere.
- 58:13Speaker 8: Okay, yeah, yeah, him Alayan mountain lobster that had been
- 58:20Speaker 8: fed chickens from the Alps.
- 58:22Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. That's how they sustain their energies.
- 58:25Speaker 2: They feed them chickens from the Alps that have been
- 58:28Speaker 2: given period. And you said, Uncle Charlie said, mac and cheese,
- 58:31Speaker 2: mac and cheese. You know, but but we simple people
- 58:34Speaker 2: were simple people that maconchee. That would be our We
- 58:38Speaker 2: be mad fifty million dollars and y'all ain't got no
- 58:41Speaker 2: mac and cheese. What kind of wetness this? Well, I'm
- 58:44Speaker 2: quite sure each guest got. When you talk about fifty million,
- 58:48Speaker 2: that means that each guest probably left with some kind
- 58:50Speaker 2: of twenty thousand dollars gift bag. Gift bag. Yeah, and
- 58:55Speaker 2: they had stuff in there that just actually paid for
- 58:59Speaker 2: one and now you're just giving them away. We'll be
- 59:03Speaker 2: back specialized yetty. Somebody said, poached ostrich eggs. That was
- 59:10Speaker 2: Jared poached ost We'll be back right af it is
- 59:20Speaker 2: it sho s love with you, don't go away.
- 59:30Speaker 4: More of the Sports Josh Hill with Wayne Gandys coumming
- 59:33Speaker 4: up next.
- 59:35Speaker 28: I never realized that I'd be taking care of a
- 59:38Speaker 28: two year old and a nine year old on my own.
- 59:41Speaker 28: I think men can be a little stubborn sometimes, where
- 59:44Speaker 28: pride gets in the way and they may want the help,
- 59:47Speaker 28: they may not know how to ask. With my traditions,
- 59:50Speaker 28: with the family support in line, and just with my
- 59:53Speaker 28: mind frame, I was able to turn a negative into
- 59:57Speaker 28: a positive. I knew I needed more ls on my
- 1:00:00Speaker 28: toolbox to take care of these little girls that just
- 1:00:03Speaker 28: lost their mother. It's time for me to be that
- 1:00:06Speaker 28: father that I knew I could be. I think just
- 1:00:09Speaker 28: being that good role model as well. That model's good

- 1:00:21Speaker 28: and watching your kids be happy.
- 1:00:25Speaker 12: Never stop being a dad.

- 1:00:44Speaker 2: And we hold the world bransom for excuse me while
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: I whip this.
- 1:00:49Speaker 3: Out shore broadcasting live and at Lanta to a jab
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: with this. This is the sports jock Ship with Wayne Dandy.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: Kill me up here?
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: Can you put me down against you want me down down?
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: Come to flow, come to contet, come to park?
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Is it just time?
- 1:01:14Speaker 12: I'm gonna do it again?
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: I'm gonna go on the way till Vegan.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: Walk back to this what shock show? I'm the sport
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Shock Wayne Candi, Good morning to you.
- 1:01:27Speaker 8: No mac and cheese, No macans, come on and see.
- 1:01:32Speaker 8: I think I think that's sensibilities. Born and raised in Chicago,
- 1:01:38Speaker 8: travel a lot in places like l A. You go
- 1:01:40Speaker 8: to a restaurant, ask for sweet tea and they go, what, like,
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: you mean sugar in the tea? Already you must be
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: from out of town. But here in Atlanta, you go
- 1:01:51Speaker 8: to a fancy place and go, I'd like some sweet tea,
- 1:01:53Speaker 8: and they go, all we have is unsweetened. And people
- 1:01:56Speaker 8: start going in this supposed to be a fancy play.
- 1:02:00Speaker 8: They call this place fancy. I ain't got no sweet tea?
- 1:02:02Speaker 8: What kind of place don't have sweet tea?
- 1:02:04Speaker 17: And so on?
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: This health yeah, and it's I guess it's a sensibility thing,
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: mac and cheese. No, well, I'm saying what else?
- 1:02:13Speaker 19: What it is?
- 1:02:14Speaker 17: Now?
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: This is the thing.
- 1:02:15Speaker 8: Just because my budget can afford shark fin soup and
- 1:02:21Speaker 8: monkey Paul because you can get it, doesn't mean my
- 1:02:25Speaker 8: guest have that palate. That's I would think that you
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: would be predicated on what your guests are willing to consume.
- 1:02:34Speaker 8: Like if I don't have a caviar, friends, I'm not
- 1:02:38Speaker 8: finna spend a lot of money on caviar?
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: Would I?
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: Because it's a wedding, see, and all you got to
- 1:02:46Speaker 8: come up is what's your budget? And once you tell
- 1:02:49Speaker 8: them that, they just start giving you.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: And those two things go together, right, So you can't
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: have and then the caviar he was serving was probably
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: know two thousand dollars a ounce, and they cut it open.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: The country is open right there at the table. Hey,
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: hold on, they had a they had a little like
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: a lost. They give me that fish and the caviar
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: out of that one. The NC double A is considering
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: and soon we'll vote to see if they should expand
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: the Big Dance. Please don't expand it. Yes, for men's
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: and women's basketball, they want to go to seventy two teams.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: It's already at sixty eight, so they want to move
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: it up to another four teams. And it falls into
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: the same guidelines for me as bowl games already. I
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: didn't like from sixty four to sixty eight. I think
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: that there still has to be a sense of specialness
- 1:04:02Speaker 2: that you made it to something you're supposed to have
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: those one or two teams that disappointed, And the same
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: thing with bowl games.
- 1:04:14Speaker 13: You you you.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: It's what I think. One time we kunt of like
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: forty two bowls or something like that, and they're only
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: like forty sixteens. Some didn't want some didn't want to go.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: So there were five and four and five win teams
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: like six high school teams played college I'm serious. I
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: think mckeecher was like an Alamo Bowl or something like that.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: This is this is the thing remain Now. If you
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: move up to seventy two, now what you start watering down? Now?
- 1:04:46Speaker 8: Do you remember when sports was closely tied to life
- 1:04:51Speaker 8: lessons and challenges and being learning how to work through
- 1:04:59Speaker 8: disappointment and sportsmanship and all of those things were predicated
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: on sometimes everybody can't go, right you those that can
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: go go as far as they go. The rest of
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: us cheer them on. And so you decide here today
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: which one of those you gonna be. It's all on
- 1:05:17Speaker 8: you while you're sitting in front of that coach, while
- 1:05:19Speaker 8: you're sitting in front of that whatever these people would
- 1:05:22Speaker 8: tell you. There's gonna be those of us that make
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: the team and go on the greatness, and then some
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: of y'all gonna end up cheering from the stands.
- 1:05:30Speaker 6: And that is I think with it expanding. When it's
- 1:05:33Speaker 6: spending the sixty eight, it was the committee coming down
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: to like just being indecisive, should we put this team
- 1:05:40Speaker 6: in or put this team in? And then the ones
- 1:05:42Speaker 6: that end up playing in the first four are the
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: smaller conferences. It's teams that won their conference tournament they
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: deserve to be in.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: And that's what I'm saying. Put them in the first four,
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: put them in in the sixty four.
- 1:05:54Speaker 8: There are no more rules and regulations that are etched
- 1:05:58Speaker 8: in Stone's You can't just have a perfect season and
- 1:06:02Speaker 8: go anymore.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: You got to have a perfect season with a strength
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: of schedule and all of that. And it used to
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: just be if I win more than you, you gonna
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: see me in the championship period.
- 1:06:14Speaker 26: That was it.
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: And so now it seems like the participation mindset is
- 1:06:21Speaker 8: just trickling down there. Or is it we just trying
- 1:06:23Speaker 8: to get another streaming channel.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Well, they're trying to add money. First of all. It
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: starts right there, putting four more teams, putting four more teams.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: All that is like the college football playoff. It's all
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: about money. My thing is that. But you easily can
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: lose the value of what It's kind of like boxing period.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: To me, boxing started losing its luster when you could
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: start making fights bigger between two fighters without a belt.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: Some of the biggest fights we've seen in the last
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: twenty years had nothing on the line at all at all.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: It's just unpopular. You popular, and the fight they'll pay.
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: It's what the market will bear. And you get there
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: and nobody is holding up a belt. They're not fighting
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: for any it's four or five different boxing associations, federations.
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: Ain't nobody fighting, but we can make more money than
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: the guy with the belt and.
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: That So that sounds like that's what Jake Paul saw, Like,
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: people see me fight, I can fight anybody and sell
- 1:07:38Speaker 6: out Cowboys Stadium, right, and I get that money.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: And the expansion is is like, but if it's that
- 1:07:46Speaker 2: water down, are you it's not prestigious And I know
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: that that kind of cuts me from an old school mindset.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: But I'm okay with expansion, but not at the price
- 1:07:57Speaker 2: of losing the prestigency of the honor. It's almost like
- 1:08:01Speaker 2: if you're going to start giving five awards out the
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: five first place, and you know, then I think what
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: gets me is it hits my ears? Kind of funny
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: when I hear you say, maybe I'm from an old
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: school mindset that used to be called tradition, that used
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: to be called procedure, that used to be called rules
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: and regulations, and the way the game was played. But
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: now people have convinced us that making people earn their
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: weight to a championship playoff, it's wrong because when I
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: say that, it's like I'm not trying to slow down progress.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: I'm just trying to make sure. Okay, let's modify the
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: sixty four. Let's modify how we get the sixty four.
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: And I would I would make sure before we go
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: to sixty eight, let's modify. Let's raise the bar on
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: how you get to be the sixty four. Yes, yes,
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: and instead of lowering the ball of the sixty four
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: and like just adding a team to or four teams.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: It's like the NFL. And then when you start talking
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: about you made the playoffs and you didn't. You wasn't
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: even five hundred. That don't seem right that I should
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: make the NBA playoffs and I'm thirty nine and forty three,
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: that kind of stuff of it. But let us let's
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: do a play in. These people even won forty eight,
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: they didn't even go five hundred. Why are we playing
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: teams in? And that's the watering down. Why can't we
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: make the should be one through eight? Why can't we
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: make it harder to be part of the sixty four yeah, yeah,
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: same thing with bowl game. If eighty four teams are
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: going to the Bowl that really know that the Bulls
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: are really special. Then But because there's nothing on the bowls,
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: if I'm not in the d if I'm not in
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: these four bowls, the other thirty seven bowls are just
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: playing for a gift bag.
- 1:10:03Speaker 8: But someone has convinced sports fan that no, no, you
- 1:10:08Speaker 8: want to see these gift bag teams. You want to
- 1:10:11Speaker 8: see that you want to And I'm just saying we've
- 1:10:14Speaker 8: we've seen this with football. And remember over this past
- 1:10:19Speaker 8: bowl season, how we talked about there were bowls on
- 1:10:23Speaker 8: a Thursday night that usually people would watch. We had
- 1:10:26Speaker 8: no idea that right that this bowl was And then
- 1:10:28Speaker 8: when you cut to the stands, there were seven people
- 1:10:32Speaker 8: in the stands, right, And that was it.
- 1:10:34Speaker 2: And I'm the same with the NBA. I thought the
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: first round. I still will stand on it. I feel
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: like the first round of NBA should be five games.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: I believe it gives the lesser guy a little more
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: hope to pull it off. So if I'm going one
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: through eight in a five game series, eight has better chance. Yeah,
- 1:10:56Speaker 2: and the seven I used to like it. It went
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: like that for a long time. I don't need seven games.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: If eight gonna play like eight versus one, I don't
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: need seven games to decide that.
- 1:11:09Speaker 6: I think it was done to give the money to
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: give the lower seed. Okay, you'll get two home games,
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: because if it was best of five, still go down
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: to Oh you get one, you get one home game.
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: The lower seed gets one home game. This gives them
- 1:11:24Speaker 6: two to make it fair. Yeah, but we've all seen
- 1:11:28Speaker 6: the effect of mass production. You know what was fair,
- 1:11:31Speaker 6: the eighty two games I gave you to get in
- 1:11:33Speaker 6: the playoffs. Yeah, that seemed pretty like I gave you
- 1:11:36Speaker 6: eighty two games.
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: More fair? And see and need somebody going fair and
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: somebody no, no, man, wait, let's hear it out. He
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: needs more fair. Just let him cook. We'll be back
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: well the Sports talk show right after this way before,

- 1:19:10Speaker 2: I had narrowed it down to the two.
- 1:19:12Speaker 8: One was Pamela Anderson, and then I saw an article

- 1:19:17Speaker 2: Make up free, so she has been eliminated not going
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: to take a bare face. Pamela Anderson anywhere. So Fantasia
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: clock on. If you don't want me, then don't talk
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: to me. But we really got to do no talking. Damn,
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: you're gonna have to put on some blush or some
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: gloss or something. She says she's taking back her sexuality. Okay,
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: y'all you can show take it back because I don't
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: want you can take your sexuality back. Sexualize her too much,
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: and that's my fault. And it only saw her as that,
- 1:19:52Speaker 2: and that's my fault. Yeah, you should have been just
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: looking at me as that. That's what you But when
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: you open the curtains you were standing there, then that
- 1:20:00Speaker 2: was the video. You remember I was I wasn't. I
- 1:20:04Speaker 2: wasn't just projecting that a whole TV show. That's what
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: I'm saying. You you you said you was the sex symbol.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: I was just trying to suppose what you said. I
- 1:20:14Speaker 2: didn't say. I never called myself that. It was on
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: the fly, Pam. I'm saying, I was just trying to support.
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: I'm sorry. I was just trying to support. In the
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: next Fast and Furious movie, they are going to bring
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: the Paul Walker character back. From what I was reading.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: They didn't say Paul Walker. They said, the character which
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: would be Brian. I forget Brian's last O'Connor, Brian O'Connor.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: So who you think they're going to get to play Brian?
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: Uh?
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: I don't know, Kenny. Who you think they forget to
- 1:20:53Speaker 2: bring back? Jake Paul?
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: Oh?
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: Please don't, please don't Jake Paul. I would Brian O'Connor,
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: I don't know, I don't know he I can't imagine
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: why the franchise wouldn't just let that go. Well they
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: never really killed him off though, right, yeah, yeah, but
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: they didn't. They never killed him. They made it seem
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: like he had just gone off with his wife. But
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: she was in the next one, right, and he was
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: just somewhere because they might not have known what should
- 1:21:30Speaker 2: they cast him or not? And and see, I think
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: sometimes that what happens is.
- 1:21:37Speaker 8: All of the old psychological tropes we held on too
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: don't matter anymore. It used to be if you had
- 1:21:44Speaker 8: an actor in that franchise, a James Bond, he had
- 1:21:48Speaker 8: to do he had to complete that low cycle, and
- 1:21:52Speaker 8: then they would choose another one and they would make
- 1:21:55Speaker 8: the great announcement and then this is the next cycle
- 1:21:57Speaker 8: of James bond and if that was impossible, they would
- 1:22:01Speaker 8: just be done with that as to not offend thee
- 1:22:06Speaker 8: in the story.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: Yeah, the plot line would be something where the team
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: finds out that Brian is still alive and they have
- 1:22:13Speaker 2: to go get him. I guess it would be who
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: is gonna play Who's gonna play him?
- 1:22:17Speaker 17: Uh?
- 1:22:18Speaker 8: Timothylo May I thought about that, but they'd have to
- 1:22:22Speaker 8: dye his hair. He's the only one I think has
- 1:22:26Speaker 8: close enough physical resemblance. But they'd have to dye his
- 1:22:29Speaker 8: hair to do it.
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: His hair, Okay, put on a wig, man, that's Hollywood.
- 1:22:34Speaker 6: It might have to be someone older though, because this
- 1:22:36Speaker 6: this is this franchise is one of the Helmsworth five years?
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: Yeah is it Worth? Is it Hemsworth? Hemsworth could pull
- 1:22:44Speaker 2: it off the the younger brother, Yeah, because because I mean,
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: you don't fit in them sized cards. You know what
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: about the guy that plays Batman, Paul what is his name?
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: He was from Moonlight or Robert Pattinson rather Roberts. We
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: have the die is it's another you other die is here?
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: He's the Gilligan of franchises. We seem as the vampire dude.
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: We'll be back for shock shout after this and nothing.
- 1:23:14Speaker 12: That we as a poll of the dog as your mind, Baby.
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: Car, you know I mean home, Keep me on the rings.
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: Jn't Go Away Born of the Sports Jock Show with
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: Wayne Dandyius comming up next.
- 1:23:31Speaker 11: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:23:34Speaker 11: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:23:38Speaker 11: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:23:41Speaker 11: life insurance.
- 1:23:42Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:23:44Speaker 29: just getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:23:46Speaker 29: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: What about you?
- 1:23:49Speaker 12: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:23:52Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:23:54Speaker 29: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:23:56Speaker 29: survival without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:23:58Speaker 29: the insurance informant.
- 1:23:59Speaker 11: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:24:02Speaker 11: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:24:04Speaker 29: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:24:07Speaker 29: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:24:09Speaker 11: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifty,
- 1:24:11Speaker 11: whether you earn a little or a lot, all you
- 1:24:13Speaker 11: need is the insurance informant to help you build a
- 1:24:16Speaker 11: foundation of security, because without you, your family will have
- 1:24:19Speaker 11: two options, benefits or bills. Which legacy will you leave behind?
- 1:24:24Speaker 11: Log on today Benefits or bills dot com. That's benefits
- 1:24:28Speaker 11: orbills dot com.
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: Hurting the game.
- 1:24:32Speaker 19: We tough it out, feel exhausted, we push on feeling down.
- 1:24:38Speaker 19: We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps. But there are
- 1:24:41Speaker 19: times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress gets to us
- 1:24:45Speaker 19: and we need to talk to someone about what we're
- 1:24:48Speaker 19: really going through. So we're going to reach out because
- 1:24:51Speaker 19: sometimes mental health is not a one person job.
- 1:24:54Speaker 17: Is it?
- 1:24:54Speaker 19: Love Yourmind Today dot org. That's love your Mind today
- 1:24:57Speaker 19: dot org. Brought to you by the Huntsman Mental Health
- 1:24:59Speaker 19: iss Atitude in the head Counselor.
- 1:25:04Speaker 4: And now back to the sports child. Wayne Gandy.
- 1:25:09Speaker 17: Player's lounge has been given full access to the player's
- 1:25:15Speaker 17: lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:25:38Speaker 2: Some loose walk back to this wit shock Shaw, I'm
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: this word shock, Wayne Gandy, I got it. Eminem, it
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: can be Paul Walker, he can be Brian o'connorll Eminem.
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: Does he want to act?
- 1:25:59Speaker 17: Man?
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: We just got to find a replacement for Fast and
- 1:26:02Speaker 2: Furious eleven. Y'all need to break me out. I've been
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: captured for no doubt. Is he gonna have to wrap
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: put y'all said, blonde? But what fifty dye his hair
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: back to brown? And let's just let's just give it
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: to the hymn's worst dudes. Bro, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:26:22Speaker 2: he's not blonde either, and he's he's a bigger man.
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: I'm saying, what, it's ten of them worth. Let's combine them.
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: Let's combine the fourth and the fifth. We just go
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: to spend the money to piece things together. We'll go
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: outside the box and make it Michael B. Jordan's he
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: already somebody else anyway might as well. I was thinking
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: about that. Why not why not go the Captain America
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: Falcon route and just let this character be a female?
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: No it's Brian. No, it can't be a female. So
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: it's gonna be a black dude, because that makes way
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: more sense than him being a female. After he was
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: a white male married and had a baby with hispanically,
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: so you have to keep on on that line. So
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: he became black because that usually affected babies. But I
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: don't know what they taught you are in science. That's
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: not how it worked. The Atlanta Hawks last week, one
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: of their reporters says that the uber driver attacked her.
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: I don't know, did y'all see the video of this
- 1:27:37Speaker 2: or not? I saw its getting a ride from the airport, Yes,
- 1:27:43Speaker 2: And when she got in the car and they started
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: off Friday. Uh, the Atlanta Hawks driver, i mean reporter
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: wanted the driver to let the windows up and turn
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: the A C on. It was a hot, humid day.
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: The uber driver did not respond and eventually try to
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: put her out on the side of the highway. The
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: reporter said that she was not getting out until law
- 1:28:18Speaker 2: enforcement was called to pick her up. At that point
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: or at some point in there, the argument turned into
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: where the uber driver pepper spray er, I've got all
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: these facts, right, I've seen and yeah, I've seen and
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: punched that the driver punched it. Now, this goes back
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: to kind of the theme of a lot of stories
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: I've asked you two guys about over the course of
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: twenty twenty five, and that is, why are people that
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: are wrong reacting the way they are? Why do the
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: wrong stand on their right? Why do they feel like
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: they're so right, you're my uber driver. That means that's
- 1:29:11Speaker 2: what you came to do. I want some ac I'm
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: within my rights to ask you for that. Correct, it's
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: a service. Yes, if I don't want to hear the music,
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: I can request silent ride. These within my rights man. Yeah,
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: but you think that I'm infringing on your rights to
- 1:29:39Speaker 2: the point you're not going to give me my rights.
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: You're not going to give me what I'm paying you for.
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: How does that work commands you? Since you you're looking
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: for more fair and that that goes along with alternative
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: facts more fair? So how do I end up getting
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: pulled over, getting told to get out? And then when
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: I'm still within my rights since you didn't take me
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: to my destination, I get to call the law enforcement?
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: Right getting out on the side of the highway. Yeah,
- 1:30:13Speaker 2: you can't just put me out. That's not what I said.
- 1:30:17Speaker 2: And I'm not I'm not threatening you, I'm not harassing.
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: I'm telling you I'm not in a law enforcement I'm
- 1:30:23Speaker 2: not breaking any rules smoking or drinking or eating in
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: the car when that has been prohibited. I think that
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: the but I end up pepper spraying punched. I think
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: with some uber drivers. There is a there. It's nothing.
- 1:30:40Speaker 6: You don't get anything more than the ride, anything, any
- 1:30:44Speaker 6: special requests like you're not entitled to that sold to
- 1:30:50Speaker 6: ask for it is almost offensive too.
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: I'm offending you to tell you I don't want to
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: hit the music. Yeah, how you in my car? See
- 1:31:04Speaker 2: that's too much, that's too much. You know what the
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: problem is. You know what the problem is. You know
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: what the problem is, Twin. Matter of fact, don't worry
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: about it. Don't worry about twin. You're right, you're right.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: We both find to get out the car right now, Twin,
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: we both on the side of the highway. Don't worry
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: about the police, Twins. Somebody find to call the police.
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: You don't have to.
- 1:31:24Speaker 6: There's something that go the opposite way. Like they have
- 1:31:27Speaker 6: the waters and the candy and and gum and uh
- 1:31:31Speaker 6: extra fans you know for it along with the ac
- 1:31:36Speaker 6: They provide all of that.
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: But some it's the bare minimum. Like you you get
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: a ride, that's what you get. Listen.
- 1:31:45Speaker 8: This is the thing, This is the thing. Too many
- 1:31:49Speaker 8: people are claiming to be experts without any experience. Used
- 1:32:02Speaker 8: to be you had to be licensed by the state
- 1:32:07Speaker 8: or the city to even be allowed to pull up
- 1:32:09Speaker 8: on people and say ride with me. That was regulated,
- 1:32:14Speaker 8: that strong set of checks and balances where once you
- 1:32:18Speaker 8: lost your tag for transporting people, you couldn't just go
- 1:32:23Speaker 8: to another tag company. You couldn't go to another taxi
- 1:32:27Speaker 8: company and work. You lost your privileges as a taxi
- 1:32:31Speaker 8: driver period. Now they jump platforms in the same day.
- 1:32:35Speaker 8: Part of the day I drive for Uber, part of
- 1:32:37Speaker 8: the day, I drive for Lyft, part of the day
- 1:32:39Speaker 8: I'm driving for somebody else. And once again, we live
- 1:32:43Speaker 8: in a timeline society where no one disagrees with me
- 1:32:50Speaker 8: on Instagram, on Facebook, nobody's disagreeing with me. And then
- 1:32:54Speaker 8: you got the nerve to get in my stuff and disagree.
- 1:32:57Speaker 8: And a lot of the people just ain't never been
- 1:33:01Speaker 8: beat up sports John, And I know I listen now,
- 1:33:03Speaker 8: I ain't saying I ain't saying violence is to ask
- 1:33:06Speaker 8: sounds like the answer I'm saying this option.
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: I'm saying, we ain't got to think.
- 1:33:11Speaker 8: You know, if you're picking a B C D you
- 1:33:15Speaker 8: could pick you could put violence in on there, because
- 1:33:18Speaker 8: what what is your option? Somebody that's kidnapping you done
- 1:33:21Speaker 8: pulled me over to the side of the road, gonna
- 1:33:23Speaker 8: make me do something I don't want to do.
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: That's kidnapping. You're trying to kidnap me. Now, you're trying
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: to leave me abandoned somewhere, and my car already been charged.
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: Once I'm in the car, I can't dispute this charge. Now,
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: who does Tabitha sue Uber? She just uber Uber? Okay?
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: And and now possibly that, And that's why that's why
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: I say. One of the things I've been talking about
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: for a long time now is how like mc kenny
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: is saying, you got so many rules and regulations against
- 1:33:55Speaker 2: my hiring practice. If you let me hold to a
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: standard in my hiring practice, I can out of these
- 1:34:08Speaker 2: people out, out of all of them. Yeah, but I
- 1:34:10Speaker 2: can weed out some people. I can weed this girl
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: out because she even got three foulk charges of trying
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: to jump on people behind some foolishness. I'd have found
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: that out and she'd have been eliminated. But I can't
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: do that. And for any situations, especially in this car,
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: you know, different than like a cab or limo. There
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: is no partition, so it's direct access. Taba the turner,
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: the reporter for the Hawks, nice size, young lady. Now
- 1:34:41Speaker 2: so she didn't go quietly. Quite sure she can defend herself.
- 1:34:45Speaker 2: She's in that six feet range. And the driver showed
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: driver showed where she had some scrapes as well. And
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: you know, I was just wondering, you know, but should
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: that go with my ride? I don't care how big
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: I am.
- 1:35:00Speaker 8: I mean, I'm a large framed man by all metrics
- 1:35:03Speaker 8: of human measurement.
- 1:35:06Speaker 2: I don't care if you have my size. Should I
- 1:35:09Speaker 2: have to scrap with you on my way home from
- 1:35:11Speaker 2: the airport? Is that something to deal with size? To
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: be like this driver? It's not like she's turning around
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: and jumping on somebody. Yeh, A key small like a
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: Jennifer Anderson or something. Somebody's five five one nineteen that
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: you can she has enough gumption to turn around a
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: real you know, at least on the outside.
- 1:35:37Speaker 8: She volatile, That's what I'm saying. You willing to take
- 1:35:40Speaker 8: it there? And I would have probably found that out.
- 1:35:42Speaker 8: Could I do a background check and called your other employers? Now, man,
- 1:35:47Speaker 8: Kesha be fighting? You know, I wouldn't know Keisha a scrap.
- 1:35:52Speaker 8: She jumped out the she jumped out your drive through
- 1:35:54Speaker 8: window at the Popeyes, jumped on somebody.
- 1:35:56Speaker 2: That's why she knew. In the interview, she lady tried
- 1:35:59Speaker 2: to explain, but I couldn't understand. What is your explanation?
- 1:36:02Speaker 2: You got someone in your car unless you put on
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: your window. Your AC is broke, which would have gave
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: me a chance not to get in your car at
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: least at least, but I didn't understand the situation that
- 1:36:16Speaker 2: all you pepper spray, and I felt like everything For
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: the Atlanta Falcon, I mean the Atlanta Hawk's reporter who
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: if you ever watched a game, she does a little interviews,
- 1:36:29Speaker 2: the sideline reports, and sometimes she even does on the desk. Now,
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: I used to I used to use Uber and I
- 1:36:38Speaker 2: had an experience that made me stop. Got in with
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: a guy.
- 1:36:40Speaker 8: He said he was a performer and said, do you
- 1:36:44Speaker 8: want to hear my solo from Cats? I said no,
- 1:36:47Speaker 8: thank you, and he said, oh, you gonna get this solo,
- 1:36:51Speaker 8: turned it up as loud as it would go, and
- 1:36:53Speaker 8: sang all the way to Cobb County to the top
- 1:36:55Speaker 8: of his lungs. When I got to my destination, I said,
- 1:36:58Speaker 8: thank you, rated him five stars and deleted that I'm
- 1:37:01Speaker 8: never going to do this again.
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: We'll be back more to Sports Shock Show right after this.
- 1:37:06Speaker 2: Oh no, Mama, I love a woman, who love a man?
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: What can I say? Really? The most dang you ugly
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: show get goat Shield with Saggas slaid on the coat.
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: I call them baby mes shit.
- 1:37:20Speaker 4: John't Goolwayne Bard of The Sports Jock Show with Wayne
- 1:37:23Speaker 4: Dandidius coming up next.

- 1:39:41Speaker 22: Log an so you can see the sports Joint I'll
- 1:39:44Speaker 22: sing even Ny welcome back to the sport Shock Show.
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: I'm the Sportshock Winge Candy, uh big Kenny command you
- 1:39:53Speaker 2: either of you know the rule, the exact rule as
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: far as a uber driver having the right you out.
- 1:40:01Speaker 8: Uber drivers have a right to cancel your ride or
- 1:40:06Speaker 8: stop and put you out of the vehicle in a
- 1:40:10Speaker 8: safe space if you are intoxicated, under the influence, threatening
- 1:40:19Speaker 8: in your mannerisms or your words, or otherwise acting outside
- 1:40:26Speaker 8: of the rules. You can't be having sex in the car.
- 1:40:28Speaker 8: You can't be disrobing things like that. As long as
- 1:40:32Speaker 8: you get in the car and behave like a decent
- 1:40:34Speaker 8: human being. It's almost like a telemarketer. They can't hang
- 1:40:38Speaker 8: up on you for not wanting to buy anything. You
- 1:40:41Speaker 8: have to be abusive with your language. So uber drivers,
- 1:40:44Speaker 8: just because I ain't feeling it right now, can't pull
- 1:40:48Speaker 8: over and put you out. You have to be doing
- 1:40:50Speaker 8: something that is making them concerned for their safety and
- 1:40:53Speaker 8: well being.
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: So the key, I guess the key is the young
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: lady felt like she could put her out anywhere number
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: one and tap of the feel like, no, you can't
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: just put me out on the side of the highway.
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: And for this, I'm just asking you to turn on
- 1:41:09Speaker 2: the AC and you want to put me out because
- 1:41:11Speaker 2: I'm hot. That would offend someone's sensibilities, I would imagine,
- 1:41:15Speaker 2: because in your mind. Remember we're attached to the customers always, right.
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: I got this now. This is the thing for people
- 1:41:22Speaker 2: who don't understand. If you caught the uber from the airport,
- 1:41:26Speaker 2: the Uber rules and regulations at the airport are even
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: more strict.
- 1:41:30Speaker 8: You have to be like the top tier Uber drivers
- 1:41:35Speaker 8: to even be allowed to pick them up at the airport.
- 1:41:39Speaker 8: You can't just be a three and a half star
- 1:41:41Speaker 8: Uber driver. You got to be fives with thousands of
- 1:41:44Speaker 8: rides and all of that. So I'm expecting a certain
- 1:41:47Speaker 8: level of service and you're not giving me that.
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: And it's first of its kind category Wisconsin, the Badgers
- 1:41:54Speaker 2: are going to sue the Hurricanes Miami for tampering with
- 1:41:59Speaker 2: Exisusavier Lucas freshman cornerback h from what I know, Comandi,
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: I know you sent me this story. It's the first
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: time I've heard of a case. I knew it was
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: coming eventually for you to follow the nil and the
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: transferred portal. The one thing that we have shared with
- 1:42:19Speaker 2: you and it's still kind of just open season on
- 1:42:23Speaker 2: is different than pro sports, where if your Magic Johnson
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: and you're just joking how Jannis look good in purple
- 1:42:34Speaker 2: and gold and get find two hundred and fifty thousand dollars,
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: they called that tampering. You can't even just be making
- 1:42:41Speaker 2: jokes about that match and a lot of money. Know
- 1:42:44Speaker 2: for a joke. I'm just saying. You asked me, Ain't
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: nobody even laughed that much? You asked me, man, how
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: did Jonas look to you bet in purple and goal?
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: Ah Am?
- 1:42:58Speaker 6: I right, No, No, that you're trying to now to influence.
- 1:43:06Speaker 6: It's just to influence the free agency decisions.
- 1:43:08Speaker 2: You're trying to get him to go to the Lakers.
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: By saying that, just me, ain't nobody thinking it's funny.
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: I'm gonna need two hundred and fifty fow that ain't
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: funny at all. I adn't find Oh, boo boo, you're
- 1:43:25Speaker 2: two hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Fine, it'd be interesting
- 1:43:27Speaker 2: to see this case of how they prove it without
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: any real rules or regulations. You can basically contact the
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: player even once he signs, and that's part of vibe.
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: It's been open season. They kind of put the cart
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: before the horse, and he signed with He was at
- 1:43:47Speaker 2: Wisconsin right and now he's with Miami. Wisconsin is saying
- 1:43:54Speaker 2: they're claiming tampering. Now in the report, they didn't really
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: say how now. I mean because we've seen coaches like
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: from Miami on the sidelines at Wisconsin. Hey, brother, you
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: know after this game, if you want to, if you
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: want to come down to Miami, Disney World, say they
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: gave you thirty you can fly back with us. That's
- 1:44:15Speaker 2: been the process up till now. Rightly, So what we're
- 1:44:18Speaker 2: talking about Wisconsin.
- 1:44:21Speaker 6: Yeah, he had nil deals with Wisconsin and with him
- 1:44:27Speaker 6: just transferring to Miami, he's violating the contract. Yes, according
- 1:44:31Speaker 6: to them.
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: Until now. This is the thing going forward, you might
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: be able to stop that. But just because I offended
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: you today, I'm still gone. You're gonna have to let
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: me go. The Pistons Malik Beasley, who is set to
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: be a free agent, yes this summer, is being investigated
- 1:44:51Speaker 2: on gambling allegations. It seems like Elie can't go a
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: full year without something going on in his life. He
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: remembered Malik when he was with the Timberwolves. He he
- 1:45:04Speaker 2: pulled the shotgun on the people that was out in
- 1:45:08Speaker 2: front of looking around at the other houses. But we
- 1:45:11Speaker 2: didn't all pulled a shotgun on people in front of
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: the house. Am I right? I'm saying now, it's three
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: thirty in the afternoon. What you doing here? You ain't
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: the male man? Am I right? I was looking at
- 1:45:20Speaker 2: the houses in the neighborhood. You casing them, That's what
- 1:45:24Speaker 2: I call it, twin you casing the houses. My twelve
- 1:45:28Speaker 2: year old daughter in the back. You got the shotgun
- 1:45:30Speaker 2: put them? Oh that is a hey baby girl. How
- 1:45:32Speaker 2: you doing all right, y'all? I'm sorry, y'all have a
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: good date. Now I'm gonna going back inside, and I'm sorry.
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: Well we've seen in these gambling. Has anyone got off
- 1:45:46Speaker 2: when I saw this? Because I don't know that anyone
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: has gotten no. The thing I've read the lions, the
- 1:45:52Speaker 2: guys from the Lions, they came down on them. They
- 1:45:55Speaker 2: came down the guys from the colts. What was that also?
- 1:45:59Speaker 2: They got They got a couple of HBCUs, they got
- 1:46:07Speaker 2: the n B a dude out of there forever he gone.
- 1:46:11Speaker 6: Going, Well, he yeah, he was betting on on NBA
- 1:46:14Speaker 6: game himself. I'm saying, what are saying, uh that he
- 1:46:20Speaker 6: may have been betting on uh NBA game as well,
- 1:46:24Speaker 6: or they're looking at Yeah, they're because they're looked at
- 1:46:27Speaker 6: a couple of games as far as like the like
- 1:46:32Speaker 6: the draft king stuff like the individual like stuff pot
- 1:46:37Speaker 6: had to do times. Look, I ain't got nothing to
- 1:46:42Speaker 6: do with it, but you're gonna say that you did it.
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: Well, that's what I'm bringing up when I when I
- 1:46:46Speaker 2: read the case, I was thinking, I don't think nobody
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: beat him yet. No, Well, this is this is the thing.
- 1:46:54Speaker 8: It's like the war on drugs. We gotta make it unattractive.
- 1:46:58Speaker 8: We have to make this course of action super unattractive.
- 1:47:02Speaker 8: So where it used to be eighteen months, it's fifty
- 1:47:05Speaker 8: two years now and everybody been written just filled out
- 1:47:09Speaker 8: top play.
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: Well, I do know college or pro. It seems like
- 1:47:13Speaker 2: every time either they and.
- 1:47:16Speaker 6: Now they're allowing uh uh college athletes to bet on professionals,
- 1:47:26Speaker 6: so now they can get in on the GAMBI but
- 1:47:29Speaker 6: there's there's gonna be corruption there.
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: Hey, hey, hey, y'all come inside for a wolf. Get
- 1:47:34Speaker 2: you play with this pit bull. We'll be back more
- 1:47:37Speaker 2: Shot show right after this about the pool.
- 1:47:44Speaker 10: How do you you baby to ever believe you will be?
- 1:47:50Speaker 4: Don't boy? Wayne Board of the Sports John Show with
- 1:47:53Speaker 4: Wayne Gamby is coming up next.
- 1:47:55Speaker 11: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:47:59Speaker 11: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:48:02Speaker 11: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:48:06Speaker 11: life insurance.
- 1:48:06Speaker 29: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:48:08Speaker 29: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 1:48:10Speaker 29: forever life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:48:13Speaker 2: What about you?
- 1:48:14Speaker 12: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:48:16Speaker 29: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:48:18Speaker 29: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:48:20Speaker 29: survive without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:48:22Speaker 29: the insurance.
- 1:48:23Speaker 11: Informant information gives you power, and life insurance gives your
- 1:48:26Speaker 11: family security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:48:29Speaker 29: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I
- 1:48:31Speaker 29: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: The answer is easy.
- 1:48:34Speaker 11: Whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn a
- 1:48:36Speaker 11: little or a lot, all you need is the insurance
- 1:48:39Speaker 11: informant to help you build a foundation of security, because
- 1:48:42Speaker 11: without you, your family will have two options, benefits or bills.

- 1:49:56Speaker 21: Ad on the Sportshock dot com. And now back to
- 1:50:01Speaker 21: the Sports Job, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:07Speaker 17: It's time for the school board when we put a
- 1:50:09Speaker 17: spin on LFE and sports and how they intermingle on
- 1:50:14Speaker 17: the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: I make you today say.
- 1:50:43Speaker 2: Way back to the swat Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: Shock Wayne Gandy. Dave Parker, Hall of Fame National League
- 1:50:50Speaker 2: MVP back in the day, passed away at seventy four
- 1:50:53Speaker 2: years old. And Dave Parker was a great player. Uh
- 1:50:58Speaker 2: and you just really hate similar to Pete Rose. Now
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: different situation. You knew that the Major League Baseball was
- 1:51:05Speaker 2: going to wait Pete rolls out. But you do hope
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: in any kind of celebration, as they always say, give
- 1:51:11Speaker 2: people their roses while they're alive. You hope that a
- 1:51:16Speaker 2: person can see as many of their achievements celebrated for themselves.
- 1:51:25Speaker 2: You really do, no matter what that might be. You
- 1:51:28Speaker 2: want to be the person because it's your achievement. It's
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: not a you know, yes, the family can take solace
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: and comfort in knowing that.
- 1:51:39Speaker 9: You are in.
- 1:51:40Speaker 2: But it's Dave Parker's in fifteen years, a lot of
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: those years with the Pittsburgh Pirates. But Kenny you saying
- 1:51:48Speaker 2: that he was so popular. He was so popular in
- 1:51:50Speaker 2: Chicago that when he was in his MVP era, a
- 1:51:54Speaker 2: lot of guys in Chicago's started buying Pittsburgh Pirates hats
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: and they would cut the little stem off the p
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: for a d because disciples.
- 1:52:03Speaker 28: But he was that.
- 1:52:04Speaker 8: I mean in Chicago, the Cubs, the White Sox were it.
- 1:52:08Speaker 8: You didn't really want to be seen wearing an opposing
- 1:52:11Speaker 8: team's colors. But he was so popular that it became
- 1:52:15Speaker 8: a standard representation or a whole group of people in Chicago.
- 1:52:21Speaker 2: Just because of Dave Parker Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony,
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: he was going in. Yeah, he's going in this year,
- 1:52:28Speaker 2: and I think it's in like a couple of weeks,
- 1:52:31Speaker 2: a couple of years. So it was just a couple
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: of weeks shy of being able to celebrate that himself.
- 1:52:37Speaker 8: And there's no way Baseballs that committee's kind of self contained,
- 1:52:42Speaker 8: so there really is no protesting or filing an appeal
- 1:52:47Speaker 8: on some man.
- 1:52:47Speaker 2: Y'alln't need to go and let Pete in there. They
- 1:52:49Speaker 2: just know this is our thing and deal with. Yeah,
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: he just got you know, seventy four, you know, and
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: they voted him in pe Rose case. That's why I
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: said it's different because it was intentionally and that ain't collusion.
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: That's not collusion. Well not once you break the law. No,
- 1:53:07Speaker 2: you're asking for my permission. I don't have any collusion.
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: Was more of I just don't like him not talking
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: to us, so we're gonna keep But yeah, I see
- 1:53:16Speaker 2: what you're saying. That's our that's our loophole. No, he
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: broke the law. And what I call monkey see monkey do,
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: which used to be a huge term that people would
- 1:53:27Speaker 2: say when I was growing up to get you not
- 1:53:30Speaker 2: to just go out and mimic people. Originality, as they say,
- 1:53:34Speaker 2: was a must. And because someone else did something doesn't
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: mean that you have to go do it. But that's
- 1:53:44Speaker 2: what's going on with all these sports franchises. And I
- 1:53:48Speaker 2: say that because Seattle now is putting a statue or
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: they did this weekend of Lenny Wilkins, the eighty seven
- 1:53:56Speaker 2: year old outside of Climate peer climbing arena, excuse me,
- 1:54:04Speaker 2: and that's where the Crack and their WNBA team play
- 1:54:08Speaker 2: and it's eighty seven. So basically, just you're doing I
- 1:54:14Speaker 2: guess everybody's doing it now. And that's the thing. Give
- 1:54:16Speaker 2: him him a statue. Where was all this thirty years ago?
- 1:54:21Speaker 2: I'm saying, now, now, think about it now, and Lenny's
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: eighty seven. I'm not trying to despair. He hasn't played
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: for or coach the Seattle team since like the late seventies,
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: early eighties, And now for this closure. Who knew Lenny
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: was still with us? Who knew? I wasn't sure at
- 1:54:42Speaker 2: an again, Oh see, so you knew better than me.
- 1:54:45Speaker 8: But when I saw the story, I was like, Lenny
- 1:54:47Speaker 8: Wilkins alive because I was like, wow, they gave him
- 1:54:50Speaker 8: as flowers.
- 1:54:50Speaker 6: He should have been hold on. He was like, I
- 1:54:55Speaker 6: mean it, maybe maybe, yeah, perhaps you should have thought
- 1:54:58Speaker 6: about before. Eventually they lost the team.
- 1:55:02Speaker 2: And that's what I'm saying. My thing is, now, all
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: these teams, since it's popular, everybody just wants to pull
- 1:55:08Speaker 2: up and you think, well, why wasn't you already on
- 1:55:12Speaker 2: that Yeah, why weren't you giving him his flowers for
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: all that he's.
- 1:55:16Speaker 6: Done when they were I think I think Seattle's been
- 1:55:19Speaker 6: waiting to get the team back before doing it, and
- 1:55:23Speaker 6: now to do it now they're not so sure when
- 1:55:26Speaker 6: that's actually going to happen. I think they were waiting
- 1:55:29Speaker 6: to do something like that because they're still well and
- 1:55:31Speaker 6: that's a significant basketball culture there.
- 1:55:33Speaker 2: You could have done it when you still had a team,
- 1:55:37Speaker 2: your team, when the team he retired from coaching, your
- 1:55:40Speaker 2: team left after Kevin Durant's first year, right, So this
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: is Kevin Durance like maybe what sixteenth year now now
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: he's going going into year nineteen nineteen, so that means
- 1:55:53Speaker 2: he got on the team about twenty two thousand and five.
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: Seven of seven. You could have done it to change
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: it was retired by then. So between say nineteen eighty
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: in two thousand and seven, you didn't You didn't think man,
- 1:56:15Speaker 2: Lenny was solid. He's solid, dude. We ought to do
- 1:56:19Speaker 2: something for him. There was nobody in the whole organization
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: on something. Hey we ought to look after Lenny Man.
- 1:56:25Speaker 2: And now that original. If that's what you want to do,
- 1:56:29Speaker 2: do it, if that's how you feel. I mean, maybe
- 1:56:37Speaker 2: Cleveland wanted to do it, or they thought the Hawks
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: would do it. I'm like, well, he won a championship
- 1:56:42Speaker 2: with your Ace Bailey. Uh, the fifth pick in the
- 1:56:46Speaker 2: NBA draft finally showed up the Utah. That was a
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: big story. Would he would he not? Which was interesting
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: with this young man that he had only three teams
- 1:56:56Speaker 2: that he wanted to draft him. That's arrogance that I've
- 1:57:03Speaker 2: never heard of when we talked about other guys like
- 1:57:05Speaker 2: Bo Jackson or even the ELI, they were just talking
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: about this one particular team. Yeah, it was just one
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: of the It was it was the team that they like,
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: I don't trust this team and trust they weren't talking
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: about the other twenty nine thirty.
- 1:57:20Speaker 8: And then even then that's still smacked of disrespect, of disrespect.
- 1:57:25Speaker 2: There were still some people on somehow dary and this
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: guy is saying he had only three teams that he
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: felt like he won. That means and I think they
- 1:57:33Speaker 2: were concerned about, like what team he would fit on
- 1:57:36Speaker 2: playing with.
- 1:57:37Speaker 7: And I.
- 1:57:40Speaker 2: And I would have Door Sanders his behind. I sure
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: would have. They'd still be wondering when Ace Bailey going
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: in the driver it'd be date number thirteen and people
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: be like, we've never seen a fall like you can't.
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: You can't hit it.
- 1:57:56Speaker 8: With the collusion, I would have colluded like no one
- 1:57:59Speaker 8: has ever colluded before.
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: And we are in the truth is he will throw.
- 1:58:07Speaker 4: Your in the ocean.

- 1:59:10Speaker 2: of them was for Pets Fresh Pet. You can keep
- 1:59:17Speaker 2: it in the refrigerator. It's made with organic chicken, pigreens, carrots, onions, fiber.
- 1:59:30Speaker 2: Your cat will love it, your dog will love it,
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: and you can keep it in the refrigerator. The commercial
- 1:59:38Speaker 2: behind it was a Wendy's commercial that was the complete
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: opposite of what you should be putting in your stomach.
- 1:59:48Speaker 2: It was a chicken sandwich.
- 1:59:50Speaker 9: Would not your cheese, teacoals or taki tacky yankeys, some
- 1:59:56Speaker 9: cream sauce, some Tacki flavored French fries.
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: So you want me to feed my animal like a human,
- 2:00:06Speaker 2: like a human, but feed my kid like a like
- 2:00:11Speaker 2: an animal. I'm lost. I was lost. I is that
- 2:00:16Speaker 2: what it is? Kill your kid, but love your pet.
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: I tell you Wendy's. Throw Wendy's in.
- 2:00:23Speaker 4: There, walk up, plank.
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: Now, let's all go to a Wendy's drive through and
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: when somebody ordered, let's just smack the bag got their
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: hand and run like you run at you run, twin
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: Let's go. You want me to feed my kid fresh pet,
- 2:00:49Speaker 2: but my kid, my pet, fresh food for my kid,
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: some stuff you can coct it, and a laugh out
- 2:00:58Speaker 2: of a bag. K It'll be all right. They're trying
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: to get rid of from the sports talk show the
- 2:01:07Speaker 2: Guinney Commands. Greg, we hope you have out a good afternoon. Peace,
