- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30So, today I want to talk to you about the fact that sometimes
- 0:35our intentions and our outcomes don't actually arrive on time.
- 0:42Always love that one really go. No and plan that it was going to
- 0:44work by this time and how much that spins us on a control.
- 0:50And the moment we start to spend on a control, we start to have
- 0:52even more problems because ultimately our emotions, create
- 0:57more of the situation that we're experiencing.
- 1:00And I cannot stress this enough. I know we talked about it a lot,
- 1:04but when you're focused on a large outcome, It's a it's
- 1:10inherently an opportunity for stress to arrive.
- 1:14And when you have stress arrived, it's just supposed to
- 1:17come to you as information when we take it on as more than the
- 1:21information and we start living in that state of stress, and we
- 1:25start acting in that state of anxiety, we ultimately are
- 1:29giving way more power than we should.
- 1:32Because all of a sudden that's the point that we're attracting
- 1:35from, that's the point where all the energy is going to And we
- 1:39know like attracts like science. Not whoo, it's definitely the
- 1:43case. So we have to make sure that
- 1:47when we put our intentions on an outcome, and the outcome is
- 1:50arriving slower than we want it to, or not, quite in the way
- 1:55that we want it to rather than getting into that state of
- 1:58frustration, irritation, anger, fear, whatever you want to call
- 2:03it or whatever you're experiencing it to be.
- 2:07We have to stop and say, I got to hang on here for a second.
- 2:11I got to look at this and say, this is just information and I
- 2:14can't allow myself to stay in that state because that state
- 2:19attracts more of itself and maybe the information it's
- 2:23providing to me. Means I need to change my
- 2:26Approach. I need to look at something and
- 2:28shift. I need to try something
- 2:30different because often when we get into those States, we become
- 2:34blinded by the path that we've been doing, as opposed to
- 2:38looking and saying, Like okay, is there something else I can
- 2:41do? Is there.
- 2:42Another way I can look at this? Is there another person I can
- 2:45involve? How can I participate in my own
- 2:48rescue? Rather than drowning myself and
- 2:52on resourceful emotions? And this probably is one of the
- 2:56hardest things to do because typically when your emotions are
- 3:01high we don't become the brightest people.
- 3:03You know, I hurt you. Probably heard me say before
- 3:06when emotions go up intelligence goes down.
- 3:08But this is Definitely one of those cases because when you're
- 3:12in it and you're trying to evaluate things and you're in a
- 3:16heightened state of emotion, God knows that.
- 3:18That is a just difficult place to be thoughtful about your
- 3:25reactions and taking action to move forward to something.
- 3:29You know, I have myself when I know when I panic, it is not a
- 3:34good thing and I don't always think clearly, I always mired my
- 3:39An immensely for his ability to have this sense of Peace.
- 3:43When things get really intense, he has this ability to pull
- 3:47himself down and get into this very centered place and be
- 3:51thoughtful about it. And, you know, changes approach.
- 3:53If necessary I've seen him do this in life-threatening
- 3:56situations, where we almost drown in a kayaks and had to, he
- 4:02had to save my son, he's in the ice cold water up to his chest
- 4:07over his head. Hanging onto a kayak and he's
- 4:11talking to me as calmly as he would saying, can you please
- 4:15pass the milk and that be ability to be able to do that is
- 4:21such a presence and such a gift because it helps you to make
- 4:27smart decisions because he was capable of doing that in those
- 4:31moments. When we were in trouble, he
- 4:33saved us and he made sure that we were all walking away from
- 4:37that without a disaster. And That was predicated on the
- 4:40ability to be able to do this. So think about the fact that you
- 4:45might be doing something right now and it's super intense and
- 4:49there's a lot happening around you.
- 4:51Whether you're, you know, people are businesses happening.
- 4:54You're waiting for clients. You're working on a project and
- 4:58it's not going the way you thought your boss is upset with
- 5:01you, whatever it might be your emotional reaction to, it has to
- 5:06be thought out if you're having An emotional reaction and it's
- 5:10not resourceful say to yourself. OK, is this trying to teach me
- 5:14something? Or is this unnecessary right
- 5:16now? Really, debrief yourself.
- 5:18Ask yourself, is this resourceful?
- 5:20Is this the emotion? I need to be in and then figure
- 5:23out if there's information, you need change your approach and
- 5:27you don't have to come up with this all by yourself, ask, if
- 5:30you need help, ask someone else and say, okay, how would you
- 5:33approach this? But go make sure you go to a
- 5:36good resource of course, but always check in with yourself
- 5:39and realize that in those moments, when it's not working
- 5:43out, the way you intended it to be, is there something you can
- 5:47learn from it? Is there a way you can change
- 5:49your approach? Is there, you can definitely
- 5:51change your emotion and that can't be done by anybody but
- 5:55you, you are the person that changes that emotion, so please
- 5:59be aware. No one can help you change your
- 6:01emotion but but you can change your emotion.
- 6:05So you need to go in there and do that work.
- 6:08Hold yourself to that, right? Very strict line.
- 6:12I'm in charge of my emotion. I don't choose this one.
- 6:15I choose to be this way. I choose to look at this
- 6:17differently and I choose to focus on what I can learn and
- 6:21move forward so that I can get to my outcome and I can get to
- 6:25what my intention was. All right, my friends.
- 6:28I hope this was helpful and I hope you have a very blessed day
- 6:30and I will see you tomorrow. Bye. can change your emotion.
- 6:05So you need to go in there and do that work.
