Taser Incident in Abbeydale Leaves One Dead | Calgary News
A deadly police encounter in Abbeydale, southeast Calgary, has sparked a major investigation. Officers responded to a break-and-enter call involving a suspect armed with a weapon, who resisted arrest. One officer used a Taser, after which the man suffered medical distress and later died at the hospital. No officers or civilians were injured. The Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) has now taken over the probe, and Calgary police have suspended further public updates pending their findings.
