- 0:00SPEAKER_01: I didn't hit record.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: I didn't hit record.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: I literally was like, okay, we're just sitting here in silence.
- 0:07SPEAKER_01: And then now we're going to turn around and I'm going to be like, what the fuck are we going to do?
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: And then I was like, oh, it's just going to waste all this time and space on the SD card.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: So I was like, oh, just pause it.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: And then I said, okay, it's not the end of the world.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Because I decided just now in this very moment.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: The only thing, the only thing that we're going to do is we are going to talk.
- 0:37SPEAKER_01: We're going to, we're going to reveal our top five official fuck it lists.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: And these are five things that you officially don't give a fuck about anymore.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: And then five things that you give more of a shit about now.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: How's that?
- 0:57SPEAKER_04: Fuck yeah, let's do it.
- 0:58SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Hi, welcome.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: Did you record?
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: I did.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: I didn't record before.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Before, but like welcome back to another episode of People Be Peopling.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: I'm Adrian.
- 1:25SPEAKER_02: Let's tell you how Adrian be peopling today.
- 1:29SPEAKER_01: Look, didn't you say to me the other day that I'm just not on the same universe, like the same playing.
- 1:34SPEAKER_02: No, no, no.
- 1:35SPEAKER_02: You're in you're in a slightly different dimension.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: Like your frequency is just slightly off from all the rest of a little off to the side.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: I really am not with it.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: I really.
- 1:53SPEAKER_04: Oh my god.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that is that is one thing that I don't give a fuck about anymore.
- 1:57SPEAKER_04: There you go.
- 1:58SPEAKER_04: There you go.
- 1:59SPEAKER_04: Let's kick it right off.
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: So we decided that we we have got to get ourselves into good head spaces and places, right?
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: And no one else is gonna do it for us but us.
- 2:10SPEAKER_01: So in order to do that, we decided that there are certain things that we just officially don't give a shit about anymore.
- 2:19SPEAKER_01: And that there are things that we give more shit about because of the things that we've been through recently.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: So yeah, it's kind of this understanding of like when when shit goes wrong, when when life happens that you didn't plan for, it's really easy to go down this path of like, why me?
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: Everybody is so terrible, my life is so horrible, everything is pilot.
- 2:49SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: Why does she have that?
- 2:51SPEAKER_03: Why can't I be?
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 2:53SPEAKER_03: Why can't I be happy?
- 2:54SPEAKER_01: Why can't I make myself happy?
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 2:58SPEAKER_01: So instead of wallowing in our self-pity, we need to find ways that we can release the things that we don't need to care about, but selectively pick what we give more care about.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: Because we still care, but now it's just more literally.
- 3:18SPEAKER_04: We have a reduced capacity for caring.
- 3:21SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 3:21SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 3:22SPEAKER_04: There's only so many gold coins, and once those are given out, yeah, there's none left.
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 3:29SPEAKER_04: So we have to be more particular.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: So what is okay?
- 3:36SPEAKER_03: Am I going?
- 3:37SPEAKER_03: Am I going first or are you going first?
- 3:40SPEAKER_01: You get you can go first this time.
- 3:42unknown: Okay.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: Because technically it's first for the recording.
- 3:47SPEAKER_04: Correct.
- 3:48SPEAKER_04: Correct.
- 3:48SPEAKER_04: Correct.
- 3:49SPEAKER_04: We're not going to tell everybody that we've already recorded an entire episode that didn't record.
- 3:53SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Who smalls that?
- 3:56SPEAKER_04: What?
- 3:56SPEAKER_04: What?
- 3:57SPEAKER_04: Oh.
- 3:57SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: Bridge.
- 4:01SPEAKER_01: Swan.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Leg work.
- 4:03SPEAKER_00: How do I do that?
- 4:04SPEAKER_01: I don't know, bitch.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: You've been doing it for 20 years.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: Breathe.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: Oh my God.
- 4:10SPEAKER_02: What?
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: Stand up.
- 4:12unknown: What?
- 4:12SPEAKER_04: Please, my what?
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Oh.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Go ahead.
- 4:17SPEAKER_04: All right.
- 4:18SPEAKER_04: Five things I just really could give two shits about.
- 4:22SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 4:23SPEAKER_04: Um.
- 4:25SPEAKER_04: But first one is just anything that starts after 8 p.m.
- 4:32SPEAKER_04: I'm fucking done.
- 4:34SPEAKER_04: I'm not coming.
- 4:35SPEAKER_04: Take pictures.
- 4:36SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 4:37SPEAKER_04: Text me.
- 4:38SPEAKER_04: I'll check my text tomorrow morning.
- 4:40SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 4:41SPEAKER_04: I want to hear all about it.
- 4:42SPEAKER_04: I'm going to have a great time.
- 4:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 4:44SPEAKER_01: I want to hear all your stories.
- 4:45SPEAKER_04: Don't wait for me.
- 4:46SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 4:47SPEAKER_04: I'm not coming.
- 4:47SPEAKER_04: No, mine.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: That's okay.
- 4:49SPEAKER_01: Mine is um anytime, including winter time, when the sun goes to when the sun sets, I'm at home.
- 5:02SPEAKER_01: So that's, you know, five o'clock, that's it.
- 5:05SPEAKER_01: 4 30 in the afternoon.
- 5:06SPEAKER_01: Fucking done.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 5:07SPEAKER_01: Bye.
- 5:08SPEAKER_01: I will Irish.
- 5:10SPEAKER_01: Uh no, I won't.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: I won't.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: I will give you.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 5:13SPEAKER_01: If it's like my friends, my family, if it's something that's like really, I'll give you five to seven.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: Just kidding.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: It's a barter here.
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: What are you gonna give me back?
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 5:28SPEAKER_04: What what else is officially um okay to um I officially don't give a shit about what strangers think about me.
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:38SPEAKER_04: I um I I don't think I didn't really, you know, care a lot before, but now I just there's it's not, I don't even I don't even register the others are in my vicinity.
- 5:53SPEAKER_04: It's not even making it to your desk.
- 5:55SPEAKER_01: It's not even coming across your desk.
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: It's not even making it to the desk.
- 5:58SPEAKER_04: It's not even happening.
- 5:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 5:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:00SPEAKER_04: So by the time I even realize what's happened, I've probably already offended you.
- 6:06SPEAKER_04: So, you know, I'm just I'm out.
- 6:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:09SPEAKER_04: Whatever.
- 6:09SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:10SPEAKER_04: It I don't care.
- 6:11SPEAKER_04: I don't give a fucking shit.
- 6:13SPEAKER_04: Um I don't give a shit about trying to make myself small for other people to be comfortable, more comfortable around me.
- 6:21SPEAKER_04: If I offend you or if I've make, you know, that's you're the one with the problem, not me.
- 6:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 6:27SPEAKER_04: Um, and that has been that's yeah, that's coming through a lot more uh more recently.
- 6:35SPEAKER_04: Um, oh trends.
- 6:37SPEAKER_04: These the fitness uh clothing industry.
- 6:42SPEAKER_04: Actually, the clothing industry.
- 6:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, clothing industry fucking do better.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:48SPEAKER_04: Stop making toxic shit that's poisonous to us and killing our fucking planet.
- 6:55SPEAKER_04: Do better, Lulu.
- 6:57SPEAKER_04: Do better, Athleta, do better, Aloe.
- 6:59SPEAKER_04: I'm calling all of you out because you're supposed to be healthy way of life companies that are promoting people to exercise and move and live a healthier life.
- 7:08SPEAKER_04: How about we figure out a way to do it without poisoning us?
- 7:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:12SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 7:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:14SPEAKER_04: Um, and and right along with that is any kind of pointy shoe.
- 7:19SPEAKER_04: I'm not wearing anything that restricts my toe bed.
- 7:23SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 7:23SPEAKER_04: And or or yeah, changes my gait at all.
- 7:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:28SPEAKER_04: I'm not sacrificing my spine at all anymore.
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:32SPEAKER_01: Your your feet.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: Your feet are not gonna give two shits about pointy toe shoes anymore.
- 7:37SPEAKER_04: Whether, yeah, whether they're pointy toed or wide-toed, uh, yeah, it doesn't matter.
- 7:42SPEAKER_04: Um, oh man.
- 7:43SPEAKER_04: And the the last one, I really, I just don't give a shit about your Instagram pick.
- 7:48SPEAKER_04: I I don't.
- 7:50SPEAKER_04: I I it it's you know, in the gym specifically, it's really irritating.
- 7:56SPEAKER_04: But specifically where we are, we have um areas, you know, desks, offices where we're where we have to come that's where we complete our administration work, you know.
- 8:07SPEAKER_04: Like behind the scenes, you know, you're programming, you're doing things, you're calling people, you're uh changing appointments, changing schedules, building classes, doing all kinds of stuff.
- 8:16SPEAKER_04: These offices have these windows, okay, so you can like see out to the fitness floor, which is fantastic, unless unless there's someone trying to get um an uh completely unnatural angled photograph in the mirror that's adjacent to this window, right?
- 8:38SPEAKER_04: Because if I can see as much of you as your OB GYN can, you're too close.
- 8:46SPEAKER_04: Yep.
- 8:46SPEAKER_04: Okay, yeah, exactly.
- 8:48SPEAKER_04: And I am over it.
- 8:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I don't care, I don't care, I don't care.
- 8:53SPEAKER_04: No, also on that same note, just because you took a picture at the gym doesn't mean you actually worked out.
- 9:00SPEAKER_04: Right.
- 9:00SPEAKER_04: Um, and I don't know why we feel validated by doing so.
- 9:03SPEAKER_04: Like, oh my god, look at me.
- 9:05SPEAKER_04: This is what I did.
- 9:05SPEAKER_04: I did this so you know.
- 9:06SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 9:07SPEAKER_04: Anyway, we always are looking for validation.
- 9:10SPEAKER_04: I'm so over it.
- 9:10SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 9:11SPEAKER_04: No.
- 9:12SPEAKER_04: Fucking, if you want to be a badass, do the fucking things badasses do.
- 9:15SPEAKER_04: Work out.
- 9:16SPEAKER_04: Don't fucking pose at it.
- 9:17SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 9:18SPEAKER_04: Okay.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 9:19SPEAKER_01: So those are your five.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: Is that five?
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: Those are my five.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 9:22SPEAKER_01: All right.
- 9:23SPEAKER_01: So here's mine.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 9:27SPEAKER_01: I don't give a shit about low rise pants anymore.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: That's my trend.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna go on with board with low rise pants, low rise jeans, low rise anything.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: I I'm not into it at all.
- 9:41SPEAKER_01: So if it comes back, they can fuck right off.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 9:44SPEAKER_01: I don't tell them why.
- 9:46SPEAKER_03: Well, because I low rise pants.
- 9:48SPEAKER_01: Because Brian, oh my god, long time ago.
- 9:51SPEAKER_01: And it's explaining.
- 9:53SPEAKER_01: Okay, so he told he told me that I have a very long butt crack and that and makes me very uncomfortable.
- 10:00SPEAKER_01: It's the craziest thing.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: I can't see my butt crack.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: I mean, I, you know, I've tried, but it's not a very good angle.
- 10:06SPEAKER_01: I don't know what those bitches are doing in the gym.
- 10:08SPEAKER_01: I should probably be studying their angles, but I'm not.
- 10:11SPEAKER_01: But he said that I have a long ass crack.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: So I've always been very like subconscious or self-conscious, I should say, about my butt hanging out of pants.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: So I have my pants pulled up high, fucking wasted.
- 10:24SPEAKER_01: There is no chance my ass crack is being shown.
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: So, as far as trends are concerned, I'm not doing that.
- 10:30SPEAKER_01: And I'm also not wearing a fucking crop top.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: I'm not wearing a crop top.
- 10:37SPEAKER_01: I'm not.
- 10:38SPEAKER_01: And you know what?
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: I go go off, girl that's 60 years old that can wear a crop top.
- 10:43SPEAKER_01: Do it.
- 10:44SPEAKER_01: Go for it.
- 10:45SPEAKER_01: Me, not gonna do it.
- 10:47SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna dress up for anyone else anymore.
- 10:51SPEAKER_01: I'm dressing for myself.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: And myself during work is freaking, I wear, I'm a cat burglar, so I wear black all day.
- 10:58SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 10:59SPEAKER_01: That's what I'm fucking eating.
- 11:00SPEAKER_03: I'm black, I'm black, I'm black, I'm black, I'm like, no, you don't.
- 11:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 11:03SPEAKER_03: It's like I could disappear.
- 11:04SPEAKER_03: I was here, I was here, but I'm not.
- 11:05SPEAKER_03: I was gone.
- 11:06SPEAKER_01: I'm in the shadows behind the treadmills.
- 11:08SPEAKER_01: You know, it's like but I'm over that.
- 11:13SPEAKER_01: I have a lot of stuff.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: And I don't give a shit about what other people think about all of my shit.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: I have a lot of shit, but it's not my shit all the way only.
- 11:22SPEAKER_01: It's 26 years of marriage and relationship with my husband.
- 11:26SPEAKER_01: I'm like, it's fucking family shit.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: Like, and it's a lot.
- 11:30SPEAKER_01: And yes, I keep everything.
- 11:32SPEAKER_01: And I'm not a hoarder, but I'm like qualities of or tendencies of because I don't know why.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: I just keep things that mean something to me.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: And I was even thinking about it the other day.
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: I was like, okay, well, what furniture are you gonna keep when you move out of this house?
- 11:47SPEAKER_01: And what furniture are you gonna sell?
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: And every piece of furniture that I thought about was either broken, old, and that meant something to me.
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: It didn't have anything to do with like the quality or the craftsmanship or like the amount of money I spent on it.
- 12:05SPEAKER_04: It's more like right, or what it was worth.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 12:08SPEAKER_01: I'll take the shitty fucking couch that feels so comfortable.
- 12:10SPEAKER_01: Do you know what I mean?
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: Like I'll take, I'll take my little stool that I use because it was my grandmother's, you know, like those are the kind of things I'm looking at.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: So I don't give about the I don't give a shit about physical shit anymore.
- 12:22SPEAKER_01: Um and then I don't give a shit about being the best or what I can achieve mentally.
- 12:35SPEAKER_01: So, like in the past, I always I'm I'm I love to learn, right?
- 12:40SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna stop learning, but I'm not I'm gonna stop putting value on myself for learning more.
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: Right?
- 12:48SPEAKER_01: Like, I think I'm pretty fucking smart.
- 12:50SPEAKER_01: I need to own my smartness.
- 12:52SPEAKER_01: I can see my smartness, like when I'm working with people.
- 12:56SPEAKER_01: And I I really I don't give a shit if people don't think I'm valuable because I I know I'm valuable.
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: I know I can make people feel better.
- 13:05SPEAKER_01: I you could be a 300-pound bodybuilder, you could be a waif of a human being, you could be a five-year-old kid.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: I know how to make you feel better.
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: And I work with bitches that know too.
- 13:17SPEAKER_04: Quite honestly.
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: So now that we've bitched and complained about all the shit that we don't give a shit about anymore, let's flip it because the whole point of this conversation was you and I have been going through the shit and we need to figure out a way not to spiral.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: So now, what are the five things that you, Nora, give more a shit about now?
- 13:43SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah, I think it time is at the very top of that.
- 13:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 13:49SPEAKER_04: It's like that's something that um is after post-diagnosis, I can tell you, is a lot more finite than I ever thought it would be.
- 14:02unknown: Yeah.
- 14:02SPEAKER_04: Um, and therefore more precious.
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 14:06SPEAKER_04: And I'm uh staring down the hallway about to be an empty nester.
- 14:20SPEAKER_04: And you know, in that alone, you're thinking, where the hell did their whole life go?
- 14:28SPEAKER_01: You know?
- 14:30SPEAKER_04: So it's um it's that and that happening now with all of this.
- 14:36SPEAKER_04: Um it that brings it to the forefront.
- 14:40SPEAKER_04: Spending time with family, making time to spend time with family.
- 14:44SPEAKER_01: Um people that you love.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: You just have people that you love.
- 14:48SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's what I mean by family.
- 14:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 14:49SPEAKER_04: People that you love.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 14:52SPEAKER_04: Um whenever you can and as much as you can.
- 14:57SPEAKER_04: 100%.
- 14:58SPEAKER_04: And just making sure that that stays a priority.
- 15:02SPEAKER_04: Um, and then experiences with friends.
- 15:05SPEAKER_04: These are the things, this is where we get like some of the greatest stories, you know, from spending time doing doing shit with your friends.
- 15:13SPEAKER_04: And um I want to continue to expand our horizons and go do crazy things.
- 15:22SPEAKER_04: Exactly.
- 15:22SPEAKER_04: But and again, prioritize money and time and effort and energy to making those plans happen.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 15:31SPEAKER_04: Um, because I've spent entirely too many years work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work, work.
- 15:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 15:38unknown: Yeah.
- 15:39SPEAKER_04: And not enough play.
- 15:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 15:42SPEAKER_04: And that's really where it where it comes down to.
- 15:44SPEAKER_01: Well, and we talked about this when we went paddleboarding yesterday with Renee, is like thinking about, you know, our generation allegedly is like the sandwich generation in between our parents aging and moving in with us, or our our parents, you know, having needing us to take care of them, and then having our kids either still be at home or start to work their way out of the nest.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: And that's a whole other, you know, chapter of crazy for parents to go through.
- 16:12SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's the time that we're in in midlife, right?
- 16:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:16SPEAKER_01: And we're right in the thick of it, and it's all happening all at once.
- 16:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 16:21SPEAKER_01: And I think you know, what was your what you have one more, don't you?
- 16:27SPEAKER_04: I have three more.
- 16:28SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 16:29SPEAKER_04: That was only two.
- 16:30SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 16:32SPEAKER_04: Time with family.
- 16:33SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 16:33SPEAKER_04: Experiences with friends.
- 16:35SPEAKER_01: Gotcha.
- 16:36SPEAKER_04: Um, and then third is my health.
- 16:41SPEAKER_04: It in specifically with regard to longevity.
- 16:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:45SPEAKER_04: Um because I've always been health-minded.
- 16:49SPEAKER_04: This has it's just it's cleared it up.
- 16:54SPEAKER_04: It's made it more crystal clear.
- 16:56SPEAKER_04: Yeah, 100%.
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: Like I I get that.
- 16:59SPEAKER_04: And not just for me personally, but also for my business.
- 17:05SPEAKER_04: I am here for the right reasons.
- 17:09SPEAKER_04: I do what I do because I want you to move well and move without pain and to live longer and have a better quality of life.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 17:17SPEAKER_04: Gone are the days of you hiring Nutritia Snora as your trainer because you want to lose 10 pounds to fit into a fucking dress for some guy who bought it for you.
- 17:26SPEAKER_04: So you can embarrass, you know, embarrass him in front of his friend.
- 17:29SPEAKER_04: Like, I'm just done.
- 17:32SPEAKER_04: No, absolutely not.
- 17:34SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 17:34SPEAKER_04: I'm not wasting time, effort, energy, or money on any of that, you know, nonsense.
- 17:39SPEAKER_04: Um making my number four is making space for creativity.
- 17:48SPEAKER_04: Um and keeping it.
- 17:50SPEAKER_03: Yes.
- 17:50SPEAKER_04: You know, I have all these great ideas and I get creative around in certain aspects of my life, but then I continuously go back to well, I really should just get this done, and I need to get this accomplished, and I need to get XYZ finished before blah blah blah happens.
- 18:09SPEAKER_04: And I let that take over.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:12SPEAKER_04: And because I have looked at it previously as the creative space being it's up for negotiation.
- 18:20SPEAKER_04: But understanding, I guess this goes time and time with the time thing or hand in hand with the time thing, is that you only have so many uh trips around the sun.
- 18:32SPEAKER_04: And if you don't make space for creativity, your creativity won't be there.
- 18:38SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 18:38SPEAKER_04: You won't have space for it.
- 18:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:41SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:42SPEAKER_04: And then your time won't be gone.
- 18:46SPEAKER_01: It's hard for people to take creativity as something that is uh innately important to be a human.
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: It's important to be creative.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: It's important to be to let out the energy in a way that can impact the world in a better way.
- 19:08SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 19:08SPEAKER_01: That's what it is.
- 19:10SPEAKER_04: It is the thing that makes us human.
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:13SPEAKER_01: And it's something that helps us connect with others.
- 19:16SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: For sure.
- 19:19SPEAKER_04: And I think that it's a piece.
- 19:21SPEAKER_04: So leading into five, the fifth, the thing that I will be making more time for and spending more time thinking about um and working towards is what kind of a legacy am I leaving?
- 19:38SPEAKER_04: What kind of legacy am I leaving for the planet?
- 19:41SPEAKER_04: What kind of legacy am I leaving for my family, for the people that knew me?
- 19:46SPEAKER_04: What are they gonna how are they gonna feel when they remember me?
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 19:52SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 19:54SPEAKER_04: I think that I think the answer is better if I make more time for creativity.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: Probably.
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: And make more time for experiences.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: But that's the thing is that like we are responsible for the meat suit that we're in, and we are responsible for making this meat suit feel good.
- 20:11SPEAKER_01: No one else can really do that, even though we pretend that others could make us feel a certain kind of way, or that, you know, whether it's good, bad, or ugly, you know, you let that happen.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: We let that happen.
- 20:22SPEAKER_01: But it's more about what are the ways that we can make ourselves feel better?
- 20:29SPEAKER_01: Because that's it.
- 20:30SPEAKER_01: This is the only meat suit you get that I know of.
- 20:33SPEAKER_01: So make this fucking meat suit count and do things that feel good and that make things better, right?
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: Like, so I my five, are you done?
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: Did you do your five?
- 20:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, what's your five?
- 20:44SPEAKER_04: Okay, yeah.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: So my five are my finances.
- 20:47SPEAKER_01: I have to give more of a shit about my finances now because I'm the only finance, right?
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: Like my husband is gone, and I need to give more of a shit about that.
- 20:58SPEAKER_01: Not right this minute because it's just bleeding money being in a situation that I'm in, not having a way to sell the house or sell my car until you know we can go to court in February now.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: It's like I I'm disgusted with the way that a wife can be left with all of the accountability and responsibilities, but none of the ability to do anything for yourself to get out of it.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: Like I can't pull myself out.
- 21:31SPEAKER_01: I have to wait.
- 21:32SPEAKER_01: I have to rely on other things legally.
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: Anyway, so I gotta care more about my finances, which is learning, and that sucks, but I have to do it.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Um I definitely give more of a shit about because now I'm the only parent having open and honest communication with both my girls and always being a safe place for them to come to, never feeling like I would turn my back on them because I would never.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: And that's one thing, like I I think if anything, I give more of a shit about the people in my life's well-being.
- 22:10SPEAKER_01: You know, I I have a hard time right now calling and returning texts and having, you know, conversations because it's just overwhelming.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: But I know that eventually it'll it'll get better.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: I'll make space for it.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Um what I definitely give more of a shit about is my work to help make people feel better, being present with them in their journey, being able to support them.
- 22:37SPEAKER_01: I don't have I don't have an ulterior is it an ulterior motive or an ulterior motive?
- 22:42SPEAKER_04: Alter.
- 22:43SPEAKER_01: Alterior, like an I don't have another motive.
- 22:46SPEAKER_01: Like my motive is I get happy when I see other people feel better in their bodies.
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: You know, my job is not to make you feel like shit.
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: My my job is to show you that you you are more than just what you think you are.
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: And then um my last one is very similar to yours.
- 23:05SPEAKER_01: Last one is my family's mark that's left behind.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: You know, how do how do I leave this place and space a little bit better than the way we found it?
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: And that's kind of the way that I hope that I am showing up for my husband.
- 23:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: So that's it.
- 23:24SPEAKER_01: I did record all of it.
- 23:29SPEAKER_04: You mean all of this part?
- 23:31SPEAKER_04: Look so cool.
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: Look, there's so much shit that's come across my desk today.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: I mean, really.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm lucky, I'm lucky I don't have on a bra.
- 23:40SPEAKER_01: I was about to say you're lucky I have a bra on, but I'm like, wait, no, I'm at home.
- 23:42SPEAKER_01: I don't have a bra on.
- 23:43SPEAKER_01: Fuck that shit.
- 23:44SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 23:45SPEAKER_01: I just feel like it's these people-be people episodes are gonna be whatever they are gonna be, but there's so much more to come with our podcast.
- 23:53SPEAKER_01: And I'm really excited that people came out and followed us over to our new feed, and we have lots of new stories and interviews coming up.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: But if any of you have a story out there of something that you didn't plan for that happened, we want to hear from you.
- 24:08SPEAKER_01: We want to share your stories, send us an email.
- 24:10SPEAKER_04: Oh, yeah.
- 24:11SPEAKER_04: Also, if you work with people in some capacity, share your stories.
- 24:15SPEAKER_04: We work with people, we work with humans, we work with bodies in front of us, you know.
- 24:19SPEAKER_04: Like first responders work with people, yeah.
- 24:21SPEAKER_04: Um, you know, a salon, you know, they work with people.
- 24:25SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 24:26SPEAKER_04: Um, so Walmart.
- 24:27SPEAKER_01: That tells us, grocery store clerks, all of them.
- 24:31SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's you're dealing with people all day long.
- 24:34SPEAKER_04: I we know you guys have the best stories.
- 24:36SPEAKER_01: I want to hear those stories so badly.
- 24:38SPEAKER_01: Please send us a text and email, anything.
- 24:41SPEAKER_01: Just keep being a person, and people are gonna keep peopling, and we're gonna be there for it.
- 24:48SPEAKER_01: Thanks, Nora.
- 24:49unknown: Bye.
- 24:50SPEAKER_01: Bye.
