Latest / Mile High Huddle Podcast / MHH #1156: Broncos Rocked by Alex Singleton Cancer Diagnosis
Transcript
- 0:01[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Mile High Huddle Podcast with your football freeze, Chad Jensen and Zach Kilmer.
- 0:08[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, Broncos Country is not a geographical location.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's a state of being.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome in, it is the Mile High Hall of Podcast.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_01]: I'm your host, Chad Jensen with me, my fellow football priest, you know him, you love him, Zach Kelberman, Zach.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_01]: Today, some very unexpected news, Alex Singleton announced on social media that he has been diagnosed with testicular cancer.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: And we also learned that he knew going into that Thursday night game against the Raiders, that the following day,
- 0:51[SPEAKER_01]: And he played his butt off of co-leading the team in tackles with nine laying a killer block.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_01]: Also, a Zach, as you pointed out, I think it was on X for a Dundra at Tillman on the interception, but first of all, we'll get into the other storylines that kind of come as a result of this news, but you're got reaction to the unfortunate announcement from Alex Engleton.
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man, first of all, we need to separate football and, you know, real life and I've been very critical of Alex Singleton the player and rightly so for his past coverage liabilities, but Alex Singleton the human is incredible.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: He's inspiring and I wish the Broncos had every human being on the Broncos team was like Alex Singleton.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_02]: I wish him the absolute best.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: It says a lot, Chad, that he went out there knowing just a few days before that he was diagnosed with cancer.
- 1:45[SPEAKER_02]: the big sea.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: He went out there.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_02]: He never knew he was diagnosed.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: He had a great gain.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_02]: He was celebrating the pick.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: He was laying blocks down.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I haven't been the biggest singleton fan, but I have a he's he has a fan for life now and me.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_02]: Big ups and big respects to him for what he's gone through.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: And guys real quick, one of the things that StreamYard is throwing at us and suggests for YouTube is when we stream to YouTube, we can stream in the traditional landscape format that you guys are used to watching us in.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: And also vertical format where we are stacked Zack and I want on top of the other.
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, to basically to fit a screen vertically, right?
- 2:25[SPEAKER_01]: on a phone.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not 100% sure.
- 2:29[SPEAKER_01]: This is the first time we've done it.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not 100% sure on your end.
- 2:34[SPEAKER_01]: I think you can choose which of those streams you prefer to watch.
- 2:38[SPEAKER_01]: You can watch the vertical option.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you got to toggle back and forth through the channel to find it, but it should be pretty simple.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: So we're given it a shot this time to see how it works for you guys, streaming to both vertical and landscape.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: So you'll have to let us know, give us your reviews on things.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it may look a little bit different as Brad's going, hey, what's, what, why is it look different a little bit?
- 3:00[SPEAKER_01]: So it shows us, too, by the way, real quicksax them inside baseball stuff here.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: On the right hand side, you can see,
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: If it has the little phone shape next to the comment, you can see that they're watching from vertical as opposed to landscape.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_01]: So very interesting guys and we do of course want your feedback on that as the show march is on, but yeah Alex singleton to go out there to have his head together enough to go out there and just kick butt.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: Um, against the Raiders in the face of the devastating, which I mean, I think any guy walking under the sun, if you got that news, uh, would be devastated and then a little bit, uh, a little bit a lot of it.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: anxious about what might happen the next the following day.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: So Kudos to him, thoughts and prayers to Alex singleton.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_01]: And in the short term, what he said today publicly, outside of, he made himself available at the facility for some questions.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_01]: And he wouldn't Zack put an exact time table on how long he's going to be gone, but he did say for sure this chief's game.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 4:11[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully, it's something he can bounce back from sooner rather than later.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's unclear at this stage, according to him, from what I read from his remarks today, Zach, whether or not he's going to require any further stuff, like, you know, a radiation or, you know, chemotherapy or anything like that.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully not, if he does it might keep him out longer, if he doesn't, he'll be probably obviously back sooner.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: But again, I mean, this is cancer we're talking about.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: So first and foremost, a hope Alex gets the treatment he needs.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: He gets back to 100% health before we even think about football.
- 4:46[SPEAKER_02]: His loss will be a loss for the Brockham's defense, but hopefully if we're talking about football, they can rally around him for this absence going into their by week.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_01]: So the question now is,
- 4:58[SPEAKER_01]: what for the team anyway because our thoughts and prayers will be within that's a fight for his life.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_01]: He's got to focus on that.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_01]: For the Broncos, it seems like, oh, pretty easy.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_01]: Justin Sternad continues to be basically a starter only this time.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: He's not necessarily rotating in and out with Drake Greenlaw.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's Drake Greenlaw and Justin Sternad, but one thing that's kind of
- 5:20[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think about Zack till I started writing this story about an hour ago was, well, singleton wears the green dot.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_01]: So he's the guy that has the radio in his helmet.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_01]: So when Vast Josephs relaying the plays, the calls, they come into his helmet.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_01]: He not only lets everybody know what the play call is, but his responsibility is making sure everyone kind of gets lined up and then the safeties on the back end are kind of a check and a balance to that, but
- 5:50[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, wisely, and being a Sean Peyton player, smart enough to know, he didn't announce who's the green dots going to be, but I would be surprised if it's anybody but him.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's the smart money is that being sternat also I can see Brandon Jones maybe wearing it or a Huff maybe wearing it, but more than likely sternat has been in the system.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: He knows the playbook and he knows all the calls.
- 6:11[SPEAKER_02]: And again, we're talking about football and talking about health and separating them from a football standpoint.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_02]: It might be a blessing in disguise, Chad.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_02]: Again, I don't want to dump on singleton, but a lot of fans have been calling for the Broncos to start sternat and green
- 6:28[SPEAKER_01]: So you guys tell us how you like this format having the two options.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_01]: Papa bear what's going on big dog great to see one of our dear Mount Rushmore Superstars and members says good evening Broncos country prayers for singleton no doubt about it hashtag 13 and four plus plus plus plus god bless the USA no doubt do you thank you very much Papa bear for your support man.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what we do without
- 6:59[SPEAKER_01]: guys like you and so many of our awesome supporters, I mean shout outs to David Youngkins in the house, pro-16s in the house, say, in more motivation for Denver to win the the game this week because the players love Alex, they really do and that play Zach.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: of Tillman getting the interception is a nice little like microcosm of why he's one of many reasons.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_01]: Certainly he so loved in that locker room, you know, the ball gets tipped up singleton himself, thinks he's got a chance to add it, not realizing that Tillman's there to kind of.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Pluck it out of the air and then as soon as singleton realizes oh, tillman's got it He turns looks at the field turns back and he starts waving tillman follow me big dog And so he turns and he follows him and I can't remember which Raiders offensive linemen's act
- 7:49[SPEAKER_01]: but Singleton just drops his shoulder and takes him completely out of the play.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_01]: And it bought Tillman an extra eight, nine yards, something like that, but just a great guy.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, Zach, I think you'll see the defense in particular plan pretty inspired football on Sunday against the chiefs.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_01]: And let's not also forget Zach, Singleton, a team captain.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the Broncos should be Hashtag Singleton strong for this game and it's not just his fellow players that love him.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: I saw a report that George Peyton was at the hospital.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: The entire length of the surgery that Singleton had and he did not leave until Singleton was OK and he emerged from surgery.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_02]: So he's a big, big spark plug inside that locker room.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_02]: And again, thoughts and prayers are with him as he goes through this battle.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt, Gene William in the house, the brace girdles.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, big dog?
- 8:40[SPEAKER_01]: He says, what's up, men?
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: Glad to hear our guy, Alex is good.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_01]: It seems they caught it early for what it's worth.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_01]: It seems they caught it early, but of course,
- 8:53[SPEAKER_01]: You don't know till they're officially out of the woods.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_01]: And right now, he's still in the woods, which is why, you know, the thoughts, the prayers, all that stuff, he needs those vibes, the genuine prayers and support.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: James says, excited to get back to football and kick the chiefs rare and no doubt about it.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, the Kansas City Chiefs are a,
- 9:13[SPEAKER_01]: for mid-able foe on any given Sunday, but especially coming out of the buy, you got to deal with Andy Reed's 22 and 4 record as a head coach in games directly following the buy and that of course stretches back to his Philly days.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know the chiefs are getting a little hot right now.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_02]: They're starting a roll, but they're still a very beatable team.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos should have swept him last season.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_02]: We'll throw away the backup bowl in week 18.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about the one at Arrowhead.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: If it wasn't for Alex Forsyth, the Broncos would have, would have, not should have, would have won that game.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_02]: So, Gene, it's going to be competitive.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: If the Broncos can play, there are 100% four-quarter elite display of effort, then they're going to see the Broncos maybe go to nine and two on Sunday night.
- 10:01[SPEAKER_01]: Scott without risking unplugging this thing again.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just going to try and maybe not project as much if I'm a tad hotter than Zach right now on my mic because The tapy taps not working and I don't have the software open and I don't want to screw it up George Fox good to see you buddy
- 10:19[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks for being with us tonight.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the support on Facebook.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_01]: Couple nights in aerobic dog.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_01]: It's always great to see our Facebookers.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_01]: And just because we are, of course, devoting more and more of our creative time and attention on YouTube doesn't mean we don't love our Facebook members and Facebook family at MHH.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_01]: It's just that YouTube's saying,
- 10:43[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome here.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: How can we help you?
- 10:45[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do what we can on our part to help you reach your entire audience and your entire following.
- 10:50[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas Facebook, they don't do that.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: In fact, it's the opposite.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_01]: They say show us the money and maybe we'll help you reach a couple extra people who have already chosen a long time ago to follow you.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, thank you, George.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_01]: We got Ralph Brace girl in the house.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_01]: What's up, brother?
- 11:08[SPEAKER_01]: We got the father.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_01]: We've got this son.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_01]: He says, my priests, singleton played through a completely destroyed need last year.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_01]: So it's no surprise he did so good with just bad news.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, it's awesome.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: Andrew Mason retweeted your article the other day.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_01]: BJ will confuse this chiefs, the chiefs at all costs and use this unfortunate news against Andy Reed.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's going to be tough, man, because the chiefs, even though Zach, you know, it's thinking about this today, I wrote two different articles about the chiefs match up today.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: And even though it was against the chiefs, JV team in the season finale last year, they're going to have their dander up because the Broncos,
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: Shut them out, A, and Sean Payton just kept the gas on, dude, throughout that game.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was 38 and nothing, you know, no mercy.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: He used it as an opportunity to do a little bit of stat padden for his boys, especially bone nicks.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I think the chiefs, and they also know that the Broncos right now are at the top of the AFC West.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: So you're going to get the the best shot the chiefs got.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_02]: Now, I think it simply boils down to if the Broncos play as they did against the Raiders, they're going to be 8 and 3.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: If they play as they did against the Cowboys, there's a very good chance they're going to be 9 and 2 and really take in a firmhold of the division lead.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: How about now Scott?
- 12:32[SPEAKER_01]: Is it still as hot?
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Better?
- 12:33[SPEAKER_01]: Good.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_01]: I want to worry about my volume.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_01]: Joe Anthony a dear member in the Hizzie great to see you man.
- 12:40[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the super chat Says sending a super chat for Alex Singleton.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_01]: I have that same surgery 40 plus years ago.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_01]: Wow.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, well, yeah, that's really That's crazy, man.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: I think that's you know
- 12:54[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure women have their deep-seated fears and worries and that's definitely one for men.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: That's for sure.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: He says I'm 54 now.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I was around 10 to 12 years old somewhere in that timeframe.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: Wow, really.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_01]: Thank goodness that you were able to banquish it.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: Big dog, that's for sure.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you have my admiration for sure and we appreciate the super.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Joe.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_01]: on Ralph do thanks buddy still remember on YouTube and he's always traditionally been a Facebooker but when we started putting the call to action for YouTube Ralph answered the bell so thank you buddy we appreciate you guys so yeah guys tell us what you think of the new look David says he's checking it out on the vertical side of things and on YouTube that is.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, and yeah, cancer is scary.
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I say we got to keep our prayers up.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_01]: The prognosis is nothing but good.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_01]: But until he's out of the woods, he's in the woods.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_01]: And so we got to keep praying and supporting Alex singleton.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_01]: for sure.
- 13:56[SPEAKER_01]: All right guys, lots more to get to here in just a few moments, but look, if you're still figuring out gifts, house about this guys, it's a no-brainer.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_01]: Perfect for your brother, perfect for your roommate, or even yourself when someone asks you, hey, what is it that you want for Christmas, the holidays, et cetera, and you don't necessarily feel like having to think about it.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_01]: their grooming kits make it super simple to clean up and they actually look as good on the counter as they feel in your hand.
- 14:26[SPEAKER_01]: The razors, this guy right here, it's weighted handle and precision trim edge, make it effortless to get a smooth, clean shave every single time, something that most razors frankly don't do and the best part is.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_01]: You can grab a
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's right, guys.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: Atlas is redefining men's grooming with premium tools and products designs.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_02]: A look good, feel good, and actually perform.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_02]: I love the razor because it feels solid in your hand.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: It's not flimsy like disposable razors and the precision trim edge makes detailing under the nose, the sideburns and edges simple and precise.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: Beyond the shave, the shave, cream, and after shave, elevate the routine with the refreshing and subtle signature scent, making grooming feel more like self-care than a chore.
- 15:14[SPEAKER_01]: It's good stuff.
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: I love the way it smells, love the way it makes your face feel after as well.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: So don't stress guys over last minute gifts or settle for shaving products that just don't deliver this holiday season, give yourself or someone on your list, the upgrade they deserve with House of Atlas, grab it at TargetStores nationwide or online at target.com.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_01]: back to the chat we go in the conversation at hand.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_01]: So Zach, this also puts a little bit of an onus on Dre Greenlaw, who the Broncos and a perfect world, they've been trying to kind of let him ease into his role as a starting member of this defense.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: And yet, you know, he's been playing 20, 30 snaps-ish of the three games he's appeared in.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_01]: How are you feeling about Dre Greenlaw?
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: knowing now that Alex Singleton's going to be out for a bit.
- 16:10[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like he was always the top inside linebacker and now he's more entrenched as the top inside linebacker.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: Here I've had no complaints with Drake Greenlaw.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: He plays maybe a tad a second through the whistle, but I love that dog mentality.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_02]: I love that that deaf woman'sality that Drake Greenlaw has brought to the defense.
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: They needed that dog in between him and Huff Chat.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's been money well spent in my opinion.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: So this last week he played did Greenlaw, 37 of the defensive snaps which accounted for 62%.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_01]: of course, Singleton did not leave the field.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_01]: If the defense was on, he was on.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_01]: He played 100% SNAPs, including Riley Moss as well, Tologno who Funga and Brandon Jones.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone else, of course, would get their breathers, trying to find Strenatherias.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: He played, oh wow, he only played six SNAPs on defense last week.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_01]: That surprises me.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: But of course, he's going to be the guy probably edging on 100%, but then again, we don't know for sure yet, who's going to wear the green dot.
- 17:15[SPEAKER_01]: I would think it's turn out though for multiple reasons, not only the fact that he's well.
- 17:23[SPEAKER_01]: he's of the linebackers healthy and available to the Broncos currently.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's got the most experience in the Vance Joseph scheme.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_01]: I think Vance Joseph probably trusts him to know everything a little bit more perhaps than Drake Greenlaw at this point and then Zack.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_01]: He's been a Bronco his whole career.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_01]: So he's been here since Vance Joseph arrived back in 2023.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_01]: And also I think, you know, whoever the guy is with the green dot that's relaying those plays and
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: the first guy going, okay, are you lined up right?
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, cool, cool.
- 17:52[SPEAKER_01]: All I think he needs to also have some trust and some credibility, so to speak, from the players around him.
- 17:59[SPEAKER_01]: And that's not to say that Greenlaw doesn't have that, but I think, Strenad has more considering how much, time on, how much more time on task he's got as a Bronco in this scheme with these players.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_02]: And ideally, you want someone in the middle of the defense, that way they can relay the calls in front of them and behind them and that's why I do both think that Sternos is going to be wearing that dot on Sunday.
- 18:21[SPEAKER_01]: Jonathan Figaroa, in the house, good to see you big dog.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the super chat.
- 18:26[SPEAKER_01]: I want to invite you to become a member, buddy.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_01]: We need you.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: It says prayers to Alex.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: Bones to settle down and plant before he throws.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: Sean needs to call a good game.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_01]: No screens and let JK and RJ run the ball hard.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: We still don't know what's up with JK, right?
- 18:45[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, I mean, have we heard anything today about JK in the second opinion and all that with the foot?
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, like you said yesterday, we're not going to get anything out of Sean Payton.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: But I would have to assume that no news is good news at this point if it was a severe injury, we would have heard more about that.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_02]: But we'll just have to see as the week goes on, they practice Wednesday.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll know then a little more about a status.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: Unless there's some insider report on it, that's exactly when to circle, but if he ends up missing a little time Jonathan JK Dobbins with his foot injury RJ Harvey time to grow up step on in to be in the number one guy and hey what a wasn't opponent to go against yet we haven't gotten the.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: head to head yet, so I haven't looked at exactly where the Broncos and Chiefs rank against each other relative to offense, defense, special teams, but yeah, Bonyx, if he just minds his, that's a good phrase for it, Jonathan, he needs a settle down.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: If he settles down,
- 19:43[SPEAKER_01]: he will mind his piece and cues relative to technique because if you watch the film at all, the plays in which he's fundamentally sound with his bass, his footwork, setting his feet, all that stuff, the ball goes where he wants it to go, but it's when he kind of runs and guns in a little bit hulter sculptor that it starts kind of getting sketchy for the Broncos.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll quote you really quickly chat.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: I don't like speaking in absolute.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_02]: So I don't want to say they should run no screens against the chiefs on Sunday.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's when you run the screens.
- 20:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's the flow of the game.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's where Sean Peyton.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: I think has to improve the one thing they should not run.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: I could speak in absolute there.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: No trick place.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_02]: No passes to Garrett bowls.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_02]: No courtland sun double passes just run the ball and play a normal style of offense on please.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_01]: But like, look, dude, Eric did a good job kind of chronicling why Beau was as bad as he was against the Raiders on Thursday night.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_01]: And then today, he balanced it out with a bunch of a film breakdown.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_01]: Guys go give it a read that showcases all the reasons why Broncos fans at large should still believe all the good things he's done this season.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_01]: He's kept the film study in the second article to this season.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_01]: I highly recommend reading it, but it really
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: Mining is technique.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_01]: Mining the technique.
- 21:05[SPEAKER_01]: If he does that, it turns out well.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_01]: Cody Dubb, a dear member of Superstar, jumping in to say, anyone coming back from injury this week?
- 21:13[SPEAKER_01]: Not that I'm aware of, I mean, we'll get our first inkling of that when they actually practice on Wednesday, but the only other guys act that unless I'm forgetting somebody, I mean, Drew Sanders is really the only guy and at this stage, they could really use that extra that extra body, so to speak, I mean, he's not all that experienced, although this is his third year.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: He's not all that experience, but at least he's got talent, like if anything were to happen not gone wood to Green Lost or Sternad, he at least is a talented guy, if not experienced in the NFL.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Sir Tans out this week, Singleton's out this week.
- 21:52[SPEAKER_02]: Marvin Mims could come back from his concussion.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's the only one that comes here.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_02]: I think he will be back, but Sir Tans singleton are outgoing.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think I are guys, but yeah, in case you missed a show last night, Mims is a virtual lock to return.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: And we still have our fingers slightly crossed.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: Don't we, Zach, that there's a possible chance of certain maybe.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so we'll see.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't expect it, but maybe Shannon Mills jumping in with the generous.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, my friend.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: So, so generous, helping us keep the lights on saying good evening sending good vibes to Alex.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: So glad he got this taken care of early and I hope he recovers soon looking forward to seeing some inspired play by the defense on Sunday and I'm hoping the offense also gets the run game going.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_01]: Um,
- 22:44[SPEAKER_01]: what Justin Sternad said today was he was asked.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: So one of the several questions about Alex that he got asked.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_01]: He said, hey, the singleton situation is that kind of an inspiration for the team.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_01]: And he said, quote, yes, absolutely.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_01]: Alex sharing his stuff with us and just the story and everything and the person that he is, I think everybody's going to be inspired by him, we're all just going to put our best foot forward and go out and get a victory this week against Kansas City close quotes that.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: Shannon, thank you so much for that generous contribution.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: The Broncos should be plenty motivated for Sunday's game.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_02]: Not only is it the chiefs, not only are they home, not only do they have a chance to put the strangle hold on the division, but they're going to be playing as you said there for Alex Singleton.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_02]: And if they can't, before they're by way by the way, and if they can't get up for that, then I have some questions about their mental fortitude, but I think they will.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_02]: And I think we're going to see a highly competitive game against Kansas City on Sunday.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you again.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, appreciate you, my friend.
- 23:45[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a couple, couple nights in a row, if I'm not mistaken, dude.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_01]: So thank you very much for the support.
- 23:51[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, I'm just pulling up real quick.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_01]: The chiefs schedule, I'm trying to remind myself, their sequence of wins and losses.
- 24:01[SPEAKER_01]: So they open the season, oh, and two,
- 24:03[SPEAKER_01]: then they get to two and two, then two and three, three and three, then they have, they went a couple in a row to get to a five and three, but they lost their last game, which was week nine against the bills, Zach 28, 21 bills, win that one, then they hit the buy.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_01]: And as I mentioned earlier, Andy Reed, whatever, 22 and four, I think all time on games played directly after the buy.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_01]: The chiefs who are going to be about as rested as it gets going into a game versus a Broncos team that yeah, you got that one little three extra days one meaning like one little stretch of three days off because Sean Peyton cut everybody loose Friday Saturday Sunday, but before that three days that I mean.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: 10 weeks of not only a lot of football, a lot of travel, east coast, short week turn around, trip across the Atlantic, all that stuff.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: So it's going to be really interesting to see how much that may be plays a part in this match up Kansas City is going to.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: want this one.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to be up forward and the Broncos are going to have to match that.
- 25:11[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, what I've noticed about the sheets this year, they've kind of been yo-yoving back to an offensive team.
- 25:16[SPEAKER_02]: They got Rashid Rice back and Mahomes is connecting with him on deeper passes than we saw last season.
- 25:21[SPEAKER_02]: The defense though is more exploitable.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: So this is where we need Bow to put his big boy pants on Sean Payton to put the big boy headset on and really come out with a full four quarter effort.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: They are going to need it Sunday.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so also the thing to talk about two relative to the chiefs, the Broncos, the chargers guys I mean this season finale the last two games of this season for the Broncos are going to be so crucial, but the
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: the chargers continue to win.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_01]: So there's seven and three.
- 25:52[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos are the currently the two seed.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_01]: Their playoff probability according to the NFL is 91%.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: The chargers sit at 82% the chiefs sit at 66% because they've already lost, as I mentioned earlier, the four games and they still
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: The AFC this year, man, it's going to come down to the wire, I think, because the chiefs aren't going to go quietly into that good night, not with Andy Reed still in the house.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: But David T, good to see you big dog.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for being a member, loyal member and a super star.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: He says, hi, Chad Zach and Broncos country.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_01]: I missed a little earlier, so I will ask any word on Dobbins.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no updates.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: what we know about Dobbins is that he suffered a foot injury against the Raiders.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_01]: Zach, you can probably break this down better because you had the story, but it was on an illegal tackle.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_01]: And he was getting a second opinion.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_01]: Now typically the one thing I'll say, Zach, and I'm touching what as I say it.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: When a player goes in for a second opinion, it's because they got a
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: initial opinion they didn't want to get they didn't want to hear it right so they're going for hopefully better news elsewhere or perhaps a different perspective that could give them a more optimistic prognosis so that's the only thing it's not an absolute but the the only thing that gives me a little bit of anxiety about the Doven's Sedge.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, he was injured on a legal hip drop tackle against the Raiders that wasn't penalized and there were no fines levied for it, but he finished out the game.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_02]: He had that big rush on the Broncos final drive that helped him seal the the wind and bleed some clocks.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_02]: So he looked no worse for where, but then he came out after the game and blasted the NFL.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_02]: then we heard that he has a foot which was originally reported as a knee injury by the way.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: So no news yet and I will say, David, this is my own speculation.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: I would feel no news is good news on JK Dobbins, but we'll know more.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully Wednesday.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's really good to see you, buddy.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_01]: Hope you're doing well.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you, David.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_01]: We also have here Tucson Phil in the house on Facebook.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: Great to see Phil.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_01]: He says, good evening, Chad Zach.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_01]: And Deacon Scott, prayers for Alex.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_01]: Time for green law to step up.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_01]: Gonna be fun watching my homes.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_01]: Get up off the ground this Sunday.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: This D is inches away from elite.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, man, there's a joke there.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to leave it though.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_01]: Just needs a few takeaways.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_01]: Hashtag Buckham image is for life, Broncos for life.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt about it.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: That's been the one kind of missing component.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: However, Zach, they've gotten a couple extra of late thanks to Don Draetillman.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I think the defense fill is a lead.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: You can argue and nitpick the turnovers and some of the off coverage they play, but you really can't ask for more when you have a certain Zach Allen Cooper, Nick Benito, JFM, everyone else just causing havoc on a weekly basis.
- 28:44[SPEAKER_02]: But to your point, we better hope to see my homes on the ground, or at least flustered, because that's how you're going to control the game is cutting off the head of that Kansas City offense.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, as I mentioned earlier, Greenlaw played something like 60% of SNAPs last week, but he still had five tackles, and the team lead was between Hufanga and Singleton with nine.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: So he has been productive when he's on the field, but I do agree with you, feel that it's in terms of time for Greenlaw to step up.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_01]: It's not so much, you know, do something, it's step up to the full share of starter SNAPs, because what do you got behind those two guys?
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: What do you got behind Greenlaw and Sternad?
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: Carina Reed, who got dinged up in that Raiders game.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what his outlook is.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm trying to think now, who, I mean, they've got Bailey on the practice squad.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: They've got, what's the other, or the new undrafted rookie and brain fart in his name?
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: 55, Jordan Turner.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: Uh, did they, did they sign another guy on the practice squad?
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, they've got some options on the PS and then still, you know, that we were told in the summer that Drew Sanders was going to be available this season.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I mean, here we are, week 11, if you're not going to bring him back now, or are you going to bring him back?
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, I'm no NFL scout far from it, but from what I've seen green loss so far, I haven't said it myself.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a little reticent to give him a full compliment of snaps.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: I think he's raring for more snaps, and he's passed the task with flying color so far.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: So I think he'll be up for the challenge.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Ralph.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_01]: I hear you on this, dude.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: I thought he says, I wish I could watch Monday night football.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_01]: WTF has happened with all the subscriptions.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_01]: negotiation dispute between Disney, ESPN of course owned by Disney and YouTube TV.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm a YouTube TV guy.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_01]: I got rid of it a long time ago and Scott as well and so we're filling the pain but I thought I had read Zach that they had finally kind of gotten to the bottom of their dispute but
- 30:54[SPEAKER_01]: It's not on mine yet, and I think I might have misinterpreted the notification I got, um, yeah, exactly.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on, Boopoy, uh, the notification I got that told me as a YouTube TV subscriber that I would be getting a $20 credit for the absence of ESPN, uh, but I think that must, the fact that it's not available to us right now must still means that they have yet to come to an accord.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know too much about that.
- 31:21[SPEAKER_02]: I have cables so the game is available to me that sucks for everyone out there.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_02]: There are other alternative websites.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_02]: I won't get into that, but if you search for yourself, you should be able to find the game.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, if you are a YouTube TV subscriber and you got that same notification, I got saying that you're entitled to a $20 credit.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: They're not just crediting your account.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: No, that would be too kind.
- 31:43[SPEAKER_01]: You have to go and find the link to then accept the credit.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_01]: So for what it's worth.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: Ralph, you're going to need to go find that link.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_01]: Just Google it, and you'll find it.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: But Boopois says, I was thinking, as you said it, Chad, the D exactly, the elite D, I mean, just the phrase, the way it was portrayed there, the D is inches away from Italy.
- 32:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, I'm just 14.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_01]: What do I say, I'm 14 years old?
- 32:09[SPEAKER_01]: But he also says, does Josh, chaos, Josh.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: Singleton is nothing short of a warrior.
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: prayers to him and his family, Dre is going to have one hell of a game on Sunday how sweet will this WB.
- 32:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you what, man.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_01]: Anytime you beat the chiefs, it feels really good just because of how Zach Wong that 16-game stretch really felt, man.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: It was stretched over, was it almost eight years?
- 32:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 32:38[SPEAKER_01]: The last time the Broncos had defeated the chiefs before the streak ended was week two of the paint last-paked manning season.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: So week two of 2015 and then you get to that second game in 2023 where they finally beat the chiefs.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_01]: That's a long time, dude.
- 32:55[SPEAKER_01]: And so last season, the Bonyx Broncos did not beat the first team chiefs, mainly because Zack, we had that freak blocked kick that would have otherwise given the Broncos a going away game winner time was expiring chip shot, I mean, there's a chip shot field goal.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: So if they win this man, it's going to be feeling like your 10 foot tall and bullet proof going into this by man, it'll be
- 33:21[SPEAKER_01]: quite the high, but you don't want to count those chickens till they've hatched.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_01]: Broncos got to go out and take care of business.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Boop Boy, I think warrior perfectly exemplifies who Alex Singleton is as a person.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: If you know what he's been through with his sister, his own familial struggles.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_02]: If you know about he played on a torn ACL, he broke his thumb, he plays through everything he played after a cancer diagnosis and had a great game and was celebrating with his teammates.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: I have a lot more newfound respect for Alex Singleton after today.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: He's a great guy, so keep your prayers up for him and he'll get out of the woods.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_01]: I have no doubt.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you Scott.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_01]: This is the way 1022 in the house.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for the super chat my friend and for being a member as well.
- 34:07[SPEAKER_01]: Dude, awesome.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_01]: I think memes could go off this week.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_01]: He says, yeah, I mean, that's just, you know, we're,
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: not so jokingly brought up over the last two podcasts that the two, the many slump that Bonex has found himself in over these preceding two games just so happened to Correspond to the two games that Marvin Mims was out.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_01]: So he does something for that offense that is very helpful to Bonex and I think Zack, it stretches beyond
- 34:35[SPEAKER_01]: just the gadgetry.
- 34:37[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's what he does to defenses.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_01]: They have to kind of respect his vertical threat and that does open things up in a way that have been absent for the past two weeks.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_02]: And that's I think the way no pun intended here to start the game on Sunday is the shock and all treatment against Kansas City.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_02]: They're expecting the Broncos to run the ball, they're expecting deep shots to Franklin or getting maybe Pat Bryant more involved.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_02]: If Marvin Nims is back, no one's expecting them to uncork a 50-yard bomb to him.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe you're right, maybe he could be the ex-factor on Sunday.
- 35:10[SPEAKER_01]: uh... yes exactly uh... david tea david said he was good during an interview then it's second opinion yeah that's uh... that's the story so far buddy uh... our friend Glenn down under in a good to see a buddy uh... give jackson some bones from us all right says uh... bohaz to sort his footwork out he's looked tired when he has struggled seven games in thirty nine days
- 35:35[SPEAKER_01]: Three on short rest that includes two international flights and they've just passed Thursday night football game and the excessive drop add part in the excessive drops to the mix 8 in 2 though hashtag mhh for live hashtag state of being that's right dude I mean it's the energy bow was planned with on Thursday night to me Zach was really the most concerning thing He just looked so unsettled like he looked like a quarterback
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: plan is first ever NFL game.
- 36:08[SPEAKER_01]: Like everything was too fast for him.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: Everything seemed to kind of be spoken in as far as the rush.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_01]: He was double clutching a lot.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: He was not setting his feet.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_01]: He was getting to the bottom of his drop and not setting.
- 36:19[SPEAKER_01]: He was like getting at the bottom and then off he'd go and just very helped her sculptor.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: So that's something that Sean Payton's got to get to the bottom of, which by the way,
- 36:29[SPEAKER_01]: He talked a little bit about it today.
- 36:32[SPEAKER_01]: Zach in the conference call, if I can find it here.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know where it went.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'll find it in a minute, but he didn't sound too concerned about Bonix.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_01]: Let me just put it that way.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: No, and again, a lot of these, I don't want to say excuses, but a lot of these factors are relevant.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: They were on a historic run-in in terms of games played and there's a lot being made about how they'll have one game in 23 days.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: They've earned the break.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_02]: They've won them all.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_02]: And again, I said it yesterday, and I think a lot of Brock has fans agree.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_02]: You don't get to eight and two without bonus.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt pardon me no doubt about it here's here's what he said so coach was asked on the conference call Hey, how do you help bonyx slowdown is internal clock because he looked very rushed he looked skiddish how do you help him slowdown is internal clock without losing the the quick instincts which also help him of course avoid sacks quote
- 37:26[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a plus and a minus.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: I've said that before.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_01]: I think one of those great strengths is not taking sacks.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so the clock in his head relative to that sense of urgency, I think there's a fine line of number one, the depth of the route, is this a longer developing plate, a seven-step drop, a five-step drop, a three-step drop.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_01]: And what should be the appropriate time?
- 37:49[SPEAKER_01]: I think there's, that's a much easier problem to correct than the latter, which is taking sex because Sean Peyton went through that with Russell Wilson.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: He goes on to say, lastly, and historically speaking, that taking sex has been much more difficult to fix, close quote.
- 38:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's one of those good problems to have if your quarterback's clock is on point to that extent where it's an issue and he's speeding up his own progressions.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: Those are all correctable issues and the good that we've seen from Bonix far outweighs this one bad trait that he's shown so far.
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: The mile-high Dutchy Albert Knoppers in the Hizzie, he says the media is so biased.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_01]: You're preaching to the choir here.
- 38:30[SPEAKER_01]: This is a point Zack made last night.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: Bo has a bad game, everyone screams bench him.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_01]: You don't hear that when Josh Allen or Aaron Rogers has won.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_01]: Both stats are so much better for 26 games than other cubies first, 26.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: Zack, you brought that up with the stinker that Josh Allen turned in yesterday.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, he threw a horrible pick in the red zone in the end zone.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_02]: They lost on the road to a team.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: They should have destroyed.
- 38:55[SPEAKER_02]: I still haven't heard much about it, Chad.
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: But the Broncos win a trap came off their own.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: And we hear this narrative about how they suck and how bonus as a bus, how about how Jackson dark from the giants.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: He got injured against the bears yesterday.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: When a quarterback against the Broncos gets injured, everyone brings up bounty gate.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_02]: They call them dirty.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: No one's saying a word about the bearers injuring Jackson dark.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_02]: So that's a double standard Albert that's how the media is and we could plan about it like I'm guilty of it to or we could just say let me let him hate Jordan Lewis is asking how long is singleton going to be out we don't know for sure.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_01]: We only know that he will be missing the chiefs game and that's what he said.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I'll tell you exactly today what he said about his outlook slash prognosis, how much time are you going to miss et cetera?
- 39:43[SPEAKER_01]: Or pardon me, the question is when he expects to return to footballs to be as respectful about the question as possible, he said quote,
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not giving an exact time table yet, but I should recover pretty quickly from the surgery and then get up and running here pretty soon, but I for sure will miss this weekend.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_01]: And as far as I'm trying to find the part about follow-up here, if he feared the diagnosis
- 40:19[SPEAKER_01]: He's not sure yet the timetable.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_01]: That's the bottom line, Zach.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: Other than, you know, like I said, he won't be there this Sunday against the chief.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: So that's one of the reasons you're going to see, I think, a very inspired, collective effort from the defense.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_02]: I read somewhere that he said he wouldn't miss four, five, six, seven weeks.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_02]: So it sounds like it's a multi week thing, but it's not like an end of season kind of thing.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_02]: The brokers will have a singleton back for the playoffs.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_02]: And again, for now, the number one priority and the team set as much as well, Chad is making sure that he's 100% healthy and gets to go.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_01]: My mind does go to, all right, if you're the Broncos, because, yes, you want to support Alex, of course.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: And they have, by the way, he's raved about how much that team was helpful in the diagnosis, because this all came to be, because he did it.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_01]: He was just a random NFL mandated drug screen.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_01]: And his urine came back with a high level of, what is it, Zach, human growth?
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: hormone, HGH, I think is what it was, wasn't it?
- 41:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so he doesn't put anything in his body like that.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that is a chemical that people who are trying to use enhancing drugs will use.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so he was shocked by it.
- 41:35[SPEAKER_01]: He knows he knew that nothing far as his supplements and stuff like that could be having that effect.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_01]: So he went in and basically with Broncos help, they got to the bottom of it and ended up figuring out the
- 41:51[SPEAKER_01]: My question is, what do the Broncos do with his roster spot?
- 41:55[SPEAKER_01]: Because if it's even in doubt whether or not two or three weeks, do you put them on IR because you got the roster spot?
- 42:01[SPEAKER_01]: But then again, Zach, it's a little bit fortuitous in terms of the timing because if it's only a two or three week window in terms of real time, not two or three weeks in terms of games, you might need to only miss the chief's game because then he's off for 14 days and you might could be back for the commanders game that we'll grab Stu.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, for sure, the Broncos are borrowing any setbacks and I'll knock wood for them as I say that the Broncos will have singles and back sometime in December, they're getting PS2 back in time for the stretch run as well.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_02]: So again, like you said, Chad, if the Broncos were going to have these injuries and unfortunate setbacks, it worked out in their favor as much as it could.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_01]: No doubt, we've got Zeus McPeak in the hissy the very first face etched on the MHH Mount Rushmore.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_01]: I got to say it every time I see it, you know this, Stu.
- 42:47[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you a lot, big dog.
- 42:49[SPEAKER_01]: He says, hi, all, bowl will be fine.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_01]: He will keep getting better.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go beat the chiefs when he had a good run game, so hopefully JK will be back.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's the whole fingers are crossed.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: The one thing you can say about Sean Peyton and I kind of got further encouraged by this this morning.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_01]: I wrote this last night.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: for the article that published first thing this morning.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: But Sean Peyton said something today, and I was like, right out, I was like, nod in my head, like, yeah, buddy.
- 43:15[SPEAKER_01]: And that is that, you know, it's a big game we know that, hello, and we're gonna be ready to go.
- 43:21[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the Broncos are gonna be ready for the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_01]: And that's one thing, Sean Peyton, in my opinion, has earned a lot of confidence.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_01]: And that is he,
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: has always done well to have the Broncos dander up for the chiefs.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like even that first matchup, Zack, as Broncos head coach against Andy Reed, it was at Arrowhead and the offense with Russ just could not do anything right.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_01]: But the defense, if you guys remember in 2023, that chief's offense was insane.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they were putting up huge numbers and the defense held them, kept it close.
- 43:56[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they scored total in that game 18 points, which was 18 or 19.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, which was well under what they were averaging by in the Broncos time.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: Like, come on, Russ, let's get something going.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_01]: And they did finally get a little something going, but it was too little too late.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: Chiefs won that game fast forward a few more weeks down the road.
- 44:14[SPEAKER_01]: Chiefs have to come to Denver and not only did the defense reprise its excellent performance and totally shut down the Chiefs' offense, but finally Russ and company woke up in the Broncos.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_01]: basically dominated the chiefs at home in that game, and that's the game, of course, that snap the streak.
- 44:31[SPEAKER_01]: And that was with Russ.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_01]: Last year, I mean, you almost beat him in their house.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_01]: You should have, if not for a freak thing, Sean Peyton does a really good job of getting the Broncos ready for the big games and the big opponents.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_01]: And none more so, I think, than the chiefs.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and the Broncos have this issue with playing up to their level of opponent and playing down to the level of opponent.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: We saw that on Thursday.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_02]: Hopefully they'll play very much up Stu.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for that super by the way.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: And regardless of whether JK plays or not, it's imperative that Sean Peyton establishes the run with RJ Harvey with Julim of Laughlin, even with Boneyx.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care, but it's one way to keep my homes off the field.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_02]: Shoot some clock and push the ball down the field.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: I'm also confident as Chad is that Bo will be okay.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you again.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_01]: Love you, Zeus, hope the family's doing well, big dog.
- 45:19[SPEAKER_01]: And if JK is in no go this week, then it ends up being the RJ Tyler and Jelil show.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_01]: You'll see Jelil active if JK is in no go, but I'm hoping that's not the case, but then again, Zach, if it's even questionable like if the Broncos are worried about it, or
- 45:42[SPEAKER_01]: As much as they want this one, they probably want their number one running back available for the full stretch run wouldn't shock me if they say you're just missing this one like we need you for the whole stretch even if the Broncos and I'm biting my tongue as I say that.
- 45:57[SPEAKER_01]: Were to lose this game to the chiefs they know they get one more shot and they still have to face the chargers at the end of the season in the finale so you're you know.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_01]: It's up in the air JK's availability this week.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's my same mindset about certain as well.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: I'd rather have him end Dobbins for the entire length of the rest of the season than pushing for one game.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Jordan said things, that's where he's land in two.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_01]: So as far as the main storylines tonight, guys, I think we've kind of hit, and Roxanne Mason reported that, well, yeah, not reported.
- 46:33[SPEAKER_01]: I think, Sternado, where are the green daughters?
- 46:36[SPEAKER_01]: Well,
- 46:37[SPEAKER_01]: So it makes the most sense, as we talked about earlier in the show, and he's got the most experience now of the available linebackers in Vance Joseph's scheme.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_01]: So it would be a shock.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_01]: I think Zach, if Strumat doesn't wear the green dot.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_02]: And I think, again, they're going to miss Strumat's excuse me.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_02]: Singleton's locker room presence, his run stopping ability, but in past coverage, especially, they're going to be better off with Strumat and Green Law on the field together.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we got, uh,
- 47:05[SPEAKER_01]: guys a couple messages for you.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_01]: Don't go anywhere.

- 48:06[SPEAKER_01]: uh... sonny says did you and thank you for being a member sonny did you see how the Texans came back in their game on sunday versus the jacks shows how good our defense really is and yet it was also with uh... without c. j. strado is mills and everyone marveled of course at the thirty three fourth quarter points the broncos put up against the giants will the Texans put up twenty six fourth quarter points
- 48:35[SPEAKER_01]: going into the fourth quarter and The defense of the Texans kept the Jaguar scoreless in that fourth and the Texans put up 26 points won the game 36 29 so there are there are much better team the Texans in all honesty Zack then they're four and five record.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_01]: They had kind of some weird weird luck at the beginning of the season They've been dealing with the absence of stroud.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_01]: They're a team that's gonna threaten for a wild card.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_01]: I think
- 49:05[SPEAKER_02]: And they have up there with the Broncos, maybe not as impactful, but they have an elite defense to make Orion's has some pretty well coach.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_02]: They took them, the Broncos right to the brink.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm right there with you.
- 49:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think they're going to be fighting for a wild card spot.
