- 0:25Music. And welcome back to the Boundary
- 0:47Corner podcast along with my partners, Brian Siegel and
- 0:50Jonathan Tally and Shelton Moss. I am Curtis Wilson.
- 0:54We are a part of the College Huddle network.
- 0:57And this episode is brought to you by Doctor Jeremy Counts down
- 0:59at the Counts Family Pharmacy, your friendly neighborhood
- 1:02pharmacy, Three O 1 S Main St. Blacksburg, VA.
- 1:08And Brian will let you say a little something here.
- 1:11Yeah, I'm going to kick it off tonight.
- 1:13Just sending thoughts out there to our our friends in western
- 1:17North Carolina that are dealing with the disaster of Hurricane
- 1:20Alene. Some of you may know, some of
- 1:24you may not. That area of the state has a
- 1:27special meaning for me. It's a place where me and my
- 1:30family go just about every summer.
- 1:33Lake Lower Chimney Rock area there in Rutherford County,
- 1:38about 30 minutes, 30 miles kind of east of of Asheville there.
- 1:44Just wanted to to send my thoughts out there.
- 1:46And for the folks out there listing, we've got some links
- 1:50down below on the crawl there. 1 is for the United Way, United
- 1:55Way of Rutherford County and the other is for feeding the
- 1:59Carolinas. Please, if you have any ability
- 2:03to do so, think of of donating and and helping those folks out
- 2:09right now. You know there there's some of
- 2:11these towns very much A1 road in one Rd. out.
- 2:15It's hard to get to them, the elevation and everything.
- 2:17So please try to get as many resources to them as you can and
- 2:23definitely any anything you can can do at this point would be a
- 2:26big help. Yep, very well said, Brian.
- 2:31The links are also pinned to our Twitter account as well for the
- 2:34United Way of Rutherford County. Obviously we we understand
- 2:38between western Carolina, eastern Tennessee and the
- 2:41western part of the state of Virginia, along with South
- 2:43Carolina, Georgia and Florida, all pretty hard because of this
- 2:49storm. It's closest to us.
- 2:51If y'all don't know him, a good friend of ours, JJ Singleton.
- 2:55Down in the Asheville area. Yeah, down there in Canton.
- 2:57Down in Canton, J JS OK, we've heard from him over the last few
- 3:01days. I know some folks that me and
- 3:03Brian grew up with live out there.
- 3:04Now I work with the guy who who who who is a hybrid guy.
- 3:08He lives out there. So it's it's affected a lot of
- 3:12people, obviously. And obviously I think we all
- 3:15know it's the part of the area that's a lot of Hokie fans too.
- 3:19So it's it's not only just, you know, it's Hokie fans, but just
- 3:23in general, the stuff that's going on, you know, you know,
- 3:27however you or whatever you may do, if you can donate, great.
- 3:30If you can at least keep the good vibes, the prayers,
- 3:34however, you may do so for them. Yeah.
- 3:36And it's, it's just incredible seeing, you know, something that
- 3:40you, you know, you spend a lot of time down there.
- 3:43You, you, you've been there so many times and seeing what that
- 3:46place looks like now and the destruction that that happened.
- 3:49And, you know, the folks that are that are still reeling down
- 3:52there, it's, it's just, it's, it's been sad, man.
- 3:55And it's, you know, looking, looking at the destruction.
- 3:59It's been just kind of kind of surreal.
- 4:02I mean, I tell anybody that asked me, yeah, I've, I've had a
- 4:06beer. I've, I've went up and ordered a
- 4:08beer at a lot of places in this, in this world, right.
- 4:14Best place I've ever ordered a beer and sat down and drank it.
- 4:17Chimney Rock Brewing, it's it's right there on the river.
- 4:22You got a perfect view of the of the river up there to the, the,
- 4:26the State Park. It's gorgeous and it and that
- 4:30place does not exist anymore and it's just it's it's really,
- 4:35really sad and again, praying for all the folks down there and
- 4:40and and hoping that you know, they get some relief here for
- 4:43sure I'll. Do a good thing.
- 4:45I'm on you. I've got a daughter that is not
- 4:49being the best right now, so if my camera goes off everyone out
- 4:51there in Twitter land and watching us streaming, it's
- 4:54because she's done something and I've had a lead.
- 4:56So let's hope that doesn't happen, but.
- 4:59Hey guys, look who was first in line here.
- 5:01Yeah, he was waiting. He was waiting.
- 5:04New King was waiting. New King needed a lot of help to
- 5:07beat A2 and two team last week. I mean, as new, always new.
- 5:12King has been faithful on the show.
- 5:14We appreciate you. But I will say, y'all got a
- 5:18little help, y'all got the win, we'll give it to you.
- 5:20We can't change it. But you got a little help.
- 5:23You got a little help. So, well, let's just tell the
- 5:26truth. This tell the truth Tuesday.
- 5:27Y'all know the way we normally do it.
- 5:29I mixed it up this week like we did last week.
- 5:31But yes or no, yes or no? First, did the ACC make a
- 5:37business decision when they overturned Kwan's touchdown
- 5:40Friday night? Yes or no, Brian?
- 5:42Of course they did. Oh, go ahead.
- 5:44Sheldon, are you good? No, no, no.
- 5:46Yes or no? Just yes or no to start with.
- 5:48Just yes or no? I'd say no.
- 5:50Oh. OK, we got a dissenter here, so
- 5:54we are going to start with Tally because I feel like Tally's
- 5:57ready to unload and then I'm gonna go to Sheldon and let
- 6:00Brian and he clean it up. Go ahead, Tally.
- 6:04My thing is you can't as much football as you watch.
- 6:09If it's a catch, if you call it a catch, what is the, how do you
- 6:15overturn it? You know what I'm saying?
- 6:18There is no indisputable evidence that you overturn that
- 6:22call. I mean, we've seen it.
- 6:24I've seen it time and time. I ain't going to speak for
- 6:26nobody else that if something is called on the field, if that's
- 6:31the call on the field, you have to have the indisputable
- 6:34evidence. And I, I don't feel like they
- 6:36had indisputable evidence. I feel like Miami is the hot
- 6:41team, Miami's five and O Cam Ward, Cam Ward, no matter what
- 6:46he done wrong, he's still, he's a Heisman finalist.
- 6:49You know, that's all we heard the whole game and we heard
- 6:52about their team, which is which is OK.
- 6:54I don't. I mean, a lot of the stuff that
- 6:57they've done, they they've earned that.
- 6:59So I'm not taking anything away from Miami.
- 7:01Very talented team. Cam Ward's a very talented
- 7:03player. So again, I feel like now, you
- 7:08know, look at look at game day that they're in, they're in Cal
- 7:11to watch Miami and Cal. So yeah, that made a business
- 7:14decision. It's just my opinion.
- 7:16Sheldon, you say no, which I think you were going to be in
- 7:19the minority here tonight, not only with US 4, but probably
- 7:23everybody out on the comment section.
- 7:25Why do you say no? Stephanie King.
- 7:28Well. It was with the.
- 7:30With the context that we saw Al Riveron in the, the replay
- 7:35control room when they were when they were looking over that
- 7:38replay. Revron is a Miami native.
- 7:41I am assume he's partial to Miami.
- 7:43I'm not saying it's conspiracy, but I think, I think he probably
- 7:47leaned one particular way and I'm sure he probably convinced
- 7:50some people in that room to, to lean that way as well.
- 7:52So I don't think it was like a, hey, we need Miami for the
- 7:55playoffs type of thing. But I, I do think it's probably,
- 7:59you know, if you, if you, if you have a bias, your, your eyes are
- 8:03gonna make you look towards that bias.
- 8:05So I think they just, they probably just looked at it that
- 8:09way of like, hey, you know, we're, we're Miami here and we
- 8:12got a, we got a, you know, we're going to see it through the lens
- 8:15of the, the, the, the canes. So that's kind of the way I look
- 8:18at it. I mean, this is the same crew
- 8:23that was on the Duke 15 lateral 15 lateral touchdown, 4 penalty
- 8:30that weren't thrown situation. You know, I mean, when I look at
- 8:36it and I'll explain my mindset here of what I see and folks can
- 8:42be a disagree with that if they want to.
- 8:44But what I saw Felton go up, Felton come down, Felton fall.
- 8:50At that point, his momentum stopped.
- 8:54Then you see a Miami player punch the ball.
- 8:57It doesn't matter what happened after that after he was down.
- 9:02It shouldn't. None of that should have
- 9:03mattered. You can't make an additional
- 9:06move against the player once once they're already on the
- 9:09ground that that. That's how I saw it.
- 9:11That's how I felt about it. I think it was Bang Bang.
- 9:17So I can see where others would have a different opinion of
- 9:20that. But given that information, you
- 9:23stick with the call in the field.
- 9:25Yeah, and not and not and not only that.
- 9:29I mean, we keep talking about the catch.
- 9:31I'm sure we may talk about it a little later, but it was a lot
- 9:34of stuff that went on just in the last drive that I was like,
- 9:37hold on for a minute. Like horse collar, like people
- 9:42and and and, you know, the coaches have some stuff they
- 9:45have to work on. I'm not taking again, I'm not
- 9:48employed by the school. We talked about that too.
- 9:50Yeah, Brett probably knows the stuff that he needs to work on,
- 9:53but there's a horse collar. No, no call.
- 9:57Another one that threw me for a loop was when Quan is going
- 10:00forward and again, I'm not on the field, Maybe the whistle
- 10:02blows, but it looks like he never goes down and goes out of
- 10:05bounds, gets through out of bounds and they run the clock.
- 10:09You know, they continue running the clock and everybody says,
- 10:12well, they should have done this.
- 10:14I'm like how do you, how do you continue running the clock if he
- 10:17goes out of bounds? But it could have been a could
- 10:19have been a whistle that of course I'm not there and didn't
- 10:21see. But it was a lot of stuff that
- 10:23went on. I thought it was a pass
- 10:24interference when he threw the ball in the end zone to Aidan
- 10:26Green. But it was a pass.
- 10:28It is what he had his arm and he shoved him out of bounds before
- 10:30he had a chance to go after the ball.
- 10:32There were 4 plays on that last drive, not counting that.
- 10:35So Quan was first. If Quan had been going backward,
- 10:39yes, you have to run the clock, right?
- 10:40You have to run the clock. Absolutely.
- 10:42He stopped his forward. He went out sideways to my
- 10:46knowledge, and as long as I watch football that is out of
- 10:48bounds, that is this, not this. He tries to make a move and gets
- 10:52pulled back. We're going to talk about that
- 10:56later. Yeah.
- 10:58That should have been out of bounds.
- 10:59So that's probably 15 seconds right there.
- 11:01The other was the horse collar. It was, it was clear you saw him
- 11:05do this or he didn't make the tackle.
- 11:06It doesn't matter if they make the tackle.
- 11:08You pull the horse collar. Whether the tackle is made or
- 11:10not. That is a 15 yard penalty That
- 11:13would have stopped the clock. That would have got us I think
- 11:15to the 40 of them because it was on the side of midfield.
- 11:19The other part about that prize out there screaming, that's a
- 11:22horse collar. You can, if you look he's doing
- 11:25this, he's running back to the sideline and he has to go to the
- 11:29other ref and say I call the time out eight or nine seconds
- 11:33additional off the clock right there.
- 11:35So we've already, we've already got 2324 seconds additional that
- 11:39they took away from us. Aiden Green 100% Alice pass
- 11:43interference. And I don't care if it's a 1
- 11:45yard line spot or if it's fifteen additional yards.
- 11:48You start doing the math. The last place should have
- 11:50probably been at about the 8 yard line, not to 40 or to 31,
- 11:54whatever it was. I'll have to go back and look.
- 11:56It shouldn't have been a deep pass.
- 11:57It would have been something even harder to defend for them.
- 12:00And that the ACC did make a business decision.
- 12:03They did. There's there's no question
- 12:05because if it was clearing in indisputable evidence, it
- 12:09wouldn't have taken 5 minutes. It would not have taken 5
- 12:12minutes to say that. They kept saying like, oh, this
- 12:16is going to go and it's like you want to fix the the replay
- 12:19rules, 45 seconds find something wrong with it.
- 12:23What if we can't find nothing wrong with?
- 12:25It. It stands.
- 12:26It stands because if it's that indisputable, it's not.
- 12:31He's this man trying to say we wrong.
- 12:33I got two guys who played collegiate football here, King.
- 12:36All right, You ain't even going to.
- 12:38Yeah, it don't matter about who's wrong or right.
- 12:41Like you could look at football and understand.
- 12:44I don't care if he acted like he won $1,000,000.
- 12:48Like that's not that doesn't constitute a call.
- 12:51When he went up to get the ball, either he has it or he doesn't.
- 12:55You know, if he if he comes down with it, he does.
- 12:57If he doesn't, the the, you know, the refs make the call.
- 13:01They made a call that said it was a touchdown.
- 13:04So the only people in the country that I've heard this is
- 13:07what I've heard from Miami fans. New King, maybe you can help me.
- 13:10You sound like them anyway. My everybody hates Miami.
- 13:15The refs hate Miami. And the only reason that Miami's
- 13:18winning is just because they're so good.
- 13:19And it wasn't like they they helped us keep the game close.
- 13:25That's a lie like that is that's not what happened in that game.
- 13:29Like the refs, The, the, the, every year Miami gets, they get
- 13:34the benefit of the doubt that they're back.
- 13:36I don't think that no media or no refs hate Miami.
- 13:40So I'm tired of Miami fans trying to say that.
- 13:42Because if Miami have any kind of production coming back or any
- 13:46kind of production where they look like they're good, they're
- 13:48getting ranked. They're getting ranked early in
- 13:50the season. So that's nothing wrong with
- 13:52that. You have a program that when
- 13:55it's good, it's good for football.
- 13:57So Miami fans have in their heads that everybody's against
- 14:01them. Everybody hates to you, man.
- 14:02That's that's a crock of shit. So that's just my opinion.
- 14:06You know, when we talk about the way the the officiating was
- 14:10going, it wasn't just on that last drive, all that.
- 14:12That was a big part of it. Let's talk about the the PJ
- 14:17touchdown, the holding call. That was just a good pancake.
- 14:22Yeah, New King said. They helped y'all out a lot.
- 14:25Yeah, he said. They helped y'all out a lot.
- 14:27They took away a touchdown on the BSP.
- 14:31Yeah, we've seen it too. That was a hold.
- 14:33They had them on the outside of the shoulder pass.
- 14:34Do you think that was a hold? That was not.
- 14:36But The thing is, it's like it happened.
- 14:39It's not like they gave us plays and then they just helped us get
- 14:42to where we were. The same thing.
- 14:44We had the same if it was a hold or it wasn't a hold and they
- 14:47called a touch, took a touchdown off the board.
- 14:49They did the same thing to us. So it came down to, again, with
- 14:54the question that you asked, they made a business decision,
- 14:57Sheldon said the the Miami dude is in there with his orange
- 15:00shirt on making the call when there's only two or three people
- 15:05in there that keep going to this damn a war room or whatever they
- 15:09call it. And, and why, how how do you
- 15:13even have a tie to that game to be able to make those calls?
- 15:17I don't understand. So well, he is the official head
- 15:19of officiating for the ACC. That's how you need to get the
- 15:22fuck on. Yeah, he need to get on in a
- 15:25game like that. I mean, you know, this is a
- 15:29recusal situation, right? Like if, if you're a judge with,
- 15:33with some sort of ties to A to, to a situation, you got to
- 15:36recuse yourself. I feel like that should be
- 15:38something that we will not talk about there as well.
- 15:40But I mean, you know, I know we're going to talk about it,
- 15:43but it didn't need to necessarily come down to a Hail
- 15:45Mary. And some of that was
- 15:48self-inflicted and some of that was poor officiating.
- 15:52And I think both both of those things kind of led to where we
- 15:54ended up at the end of that game.
- 15:56Absolutely. All right, So we got to do some
- 15:58on just that part of it. We got to close the book, OK,
- 16:02because every statements been made, 98% of the country agrees
- 16:07with us. It should have been held.
- 16:08Miami should have a loss. We should have a win.
- 16:10Can't do anything about it, can't go back, but it is what it
- 16:13is. But what I want to ask y'all
- 16:15next and then yes or no, and then I'll let y'all explain
- 16:19Friday night. Was that the team you expected
- 16:23from the jump this year, Shelton, Yes or no?
- 16:26Yeah, I I thought they put their, their, their hearts out
- 16:30Tally. Yeah, definitely, Brian.
- 16:35Yeah, that was the team I expected from Jump Street.
- 16:37It looked like the team I expect, like win or lose in that
- 16:40game from from the start to finish.
- 16:43It looked like the team I expected to for us to have most
- 16:46of the year. You're on mute again, Curtis.
- 16:55That's going to be a recurring theme tonight is I'm going to
- 16:57have to do that. All right, So Brian, you kind of
- 17:00went into it over there. What did you feel different on
- 17:03Friday night? I'm going to go back around
- 17:05Sheldon, get you, get your data points ready.
- 17:07I know you've got stuff up, but what did you just see different?
- 17:10What was the feel? Why did this team look like the
- 17:13team we expected them to be? Complimentary football, I mean,
- 17:18I think, I think it's that simple.
- 17:20Complimentary football. When the defense made a play, we
- 17:23went out there and made a play on offense.
- 17:25Most of the time when the offense made a play, the defense
- 17:28would turn it around and, and, and do something pretty well and
- 17:32get the ball back to the offense.
- 17:33I thought it was a very consistent performance really on
- 17:36both sides of the ball, with only a couple caveats to that, I
- 17:42think. Yeah, for the most part, special
- 17:45teams was OK outside of two number seventeens on the field
- 17:51and a very questionable coaching call.
- 17:54Hey, if you speeding, if you speeding and the police don't
- 17:56catch you, what you speeding? It ain't illegal.
- 17:59That's what I'm saying. Happened all the time.
- 18:02They didn't catch it. Go ahead.
- 18:04I'm sorry but. Yeah, I, I think performance
- 18:07wise, I think the, the, the special teams was improved this
- 18:10week. I think there were still a
- 18:12couple decisions from the staff that could fall under question
- 18:18on that side of the things, right?
- 18:20What about you, Tally? What did they do different?
- 18:21I know you had a game, you came in late, but I know you watch
- 18:25them. Yeah, man, I had a yeah.
- 18:27They had my son dressed out with varsity this past weekend or
- 18:32this week. So Friday we were out in the
- 18:34rain in the game. They at least won.
- 18:35He got in his first varsity snaps, he was scared.
- 18:39He didn't have to do nothing behind the ball off, but you got
- 18:42like the third team and then they fumble a snap and other
- 18:45team picked it up and start running back and he was trying
- 18:48to make a tackle but also not get ran over.
- 18:50So yeah, welcome to big boy football for him.
- 18:53But I watched it man, probably about I mean, I watched some
- 18:59highlights kind of that night and watched some videos people
- 19:02were posting. But then I watched the entire
- 19:04game at like 2O clock in the morning, Saturday, Saturday,
- 19:09Sunday morning, when they finally got a whole game
- 19:13uploaded, I went back and I went back and watched the entire
- 19:17thing, which was I shouldn't have.
- 19:19I sacrificed some much needed sleep.
- 19:21But Karen looked more like Karen, like he accepted what the
- 19:29stage was and to see him step up in the pocket and make that
- 19:32throw, you know what he throws off one leg and, and, and puts
- 19:36the ball, you know, on the rope. Like it was good to see him do
- 19:39that. But also, man, it was just not
- 19:43to get too technical. Like when when they when we got
- 19:46punched, they punched back because a lot of games early,
- 19:49even games we won are seeing somebody punching.
- 19:52It was just kind of like we kind of walked to the sideline or we
- 19:55kind of, you know, did some different things.
- 19:58And I'm like, come on, man. Like I like to see a team.
- 20:03Like getting getting that bad, somebody's talking, talking
- 20:07back. It's OK, you know what I'm
- 20:09saying? Like you either going to win or
- 20:10you going to lose. I don't like that.
- 20:12We're going to be classy and no, forget that.
- 20:14Like if people out there talking, you got to talk back.
- 20:17So I seen us doing that, you know, and again, Miami has a
- 20:20good team and Miami wasn't doing anything like overly bad, you
- 20:23know, but when you're playing football, that's a game where
- 20:26you get to hit each other every play.
- 20:28So they was hitting and we hit back.
- 20:29So I was good. I was glad to see that because
- 20:31in some of the other games I didn't see that.
- 20:33You know, I've seen people leaning on us for quarters
- 20:37before we decided to punch back this this game.
- 20:40I feel like from the start it was like, Nah, we, we are trying
- 20:45to win, you know, we hit a we hit a play football.
- 20:48So that was good to see. Sheldon, what about you, man?
- 20:52What popped out? And I know you watched the game
- 20:54Friday night. I'm sure you reluctantly looked
- 20:57at some analytics. What?
- 20:58What was what was different to you Friday night?
- 21:03Well, I think there was a little bit more variety in the run
- 21:05game. You know, they averaged about 7
- 21:07yards per rush as a team, which was great, especially against
- 21:10that D line. You know, we saw more of those
- 21:13those toss plays to to Bayshaw Tooten where, you know, Jones
- 21:16kind of pitch outside or or fake the pitch and then go inside
- 21:18between the guards. You know, I feel like that was
- 21:21kind of our bread and butter last year for some reason.
- 21:23We didn't really see it a ton the first four games.
- 21:25I don't know if Bowen was trying to save a little bit more for a
- 21:27conference play, but it was good to see that play kind of get
- 21:29back on the mix. You know, rolling drones out a
- 21:31little bit more, getting them to run as a quarterback, which
- 21:34obviously is the best strength. Tune broke 9 tackles.
- 21:37He's up to 5th in the country and most missed tackles forced
- 21:39with 33. So he's, you know, keep keeps
- 21:42chugging along there. And then I also thought I
- 21:46thought the perimeter blocking was improved.
- 21:48You know, obviously we this offense that wants to get the
- 21:52ball out quickly, you know, short, quick throws to the sides
- 21:54in the flats and, you know, let your playmakers make plays in
- 21:57space. In order to do that, you got to
- 21:59have a good perimeter blocking. I thought, you know, Quan fell
- 22:01and did a good job there. He had a couple key blocks that
- 22:04spurred a big catch by Jay Lane. And then we saw some
- 22:07trickeration on that reverse to Lane that went for, you know, 20
- 22:10some yards for a touchdown. So I just thought there was a
- 22:12bit more variety, you know, Bob Shipp coming in for for late
- 22:16gamut left guard, you know, he's been an improvement there.
- 22:20And then, you know, in terms of the the defensive special teams,
- 22:22obviously, you know, those two units did a really good job
- 22:24helping the offense. Average starting field position
- 22:26for Tech in this game was a 49 yard line.
- 22:29You know, you might, you might play this game 10 times over and
- 22:31not say that once because they got 3 turnovers and all of them
- 22:34were in plus territory for Vt. So, you know, it's kind of a
- 22:38kind of the traditional, you know, 3 complimentary approach
- 22:41to football offense, even special teams kind of helping
- 22:43out each other. I thought they did.
- 22:44They did a really good job there.
- 22:45And it's probably one of the more complete performances
- 22:47concerning the quality of the opponent.
- 22:49Yeah, quality opponent and everything and it was kind of,
- 22:52y'all all kind of hit it right. It was complimentary ball and
- 22:55then they stood up and just started punching where there had
- 22:58been times this year, especially in the first half, we got beat
- 23:02down. Right, we look shell shocked.
- 23:05When we did something, something funky would happen and we would
- 23:08just look, Oh no, this isn't good.
- 23:10And I know we came right out the gate forced to fumble, scored
- 23:12the touchdown, but they answered.
- 23:15We didn't quibble up, We didn't quibble up after that.
- 23:18And hopefully we are over that block because that was the
- 23:23biggest thing I saw Friday night.
- 23:24And I think it's going to go allude to what Tally said.
- 23:27They came over a roadblock. They finally said this is how we
- 23:31can play. We can punch back, we can
- 23:34attack, we can keep going. And then to both of y'all's
- 23:36points, we did look different. We look different on offense.
- 23:41Especially when I look over here and I see how many guys got
- 23:43multiple receptions. Gosnell, Jay Lane, other
- 23:47Gosnell, Aiden Green. They flipped the ball out to
- 23:50Tooting to keep people honest in the flat.
- 23:52A few. He didn't get any yard, but you
- 23:53know what that does to Sheldon's point, some of those little
- 23:56short quick passes, if you send Tune to one side of safeties
- 24:00going to linebackers going, thus you go opposite field, it's
- 24:04going to open up. So in reality, why was this the
- 24:07team we expected? Because we knew we had these
- 24:09players. We knew we could get into that
- 24:11mentality and go play with anybody in the country.
- 24:15So that's where we all stand on that now.
- 24:18Anybody, Sheldon, and we'll start with Sheldon on this one.
- 24:21Hey, let me let me put it. I want to.
- 24:22You'll put a ball on it. Yeah.
- 24:25I want you to put some up. What now?
- 24:27I want you to put what? New King said all this said,
- 24:29well, they did everything bad, Did they?
- 24:32Yeah. Yeah.
- 24:33Put that. Put that up.
- 24:34No, I just want. I just want you to put that up.
- 24:35I want to say something to that. OK.
- 24:37So they said we did everything bad.
- 24:38That was the worst game we played all season.
- 24:40Definitely a wake up call. How is it the worst game you
- 24:43play all season just because you had a team that punched back?
- 24:46Let's see here. OK.
- 24:48Miami's. Miami's schedule before they
- 24:50played us, Florida garbage. Horrible.
- 24:54We don't see any pitiful Florida A&M, Ball State, South Florida
- 25:00like, of course it's the worst game you play because you had a
- 25:03team that had a pulse. You know what I'm saying?
- 25:06I ain't saying like we are so great, but like Miami, y'all
- 25:09don't have a little bit of a road ahead of you, You know what
- 25:12I'm saying? Like you don't get in the ACC
- 25:13play and you, you are the number seven or eight team in the
- 25:17country. You're going to have people just
- 25:18going to have a target on you. They're going to try to punch
- 25:20back. Like don't get in here and act
- 25:23like y'all are the greatest team in the country.
- 25:25Like y'all ain't on Bama's level and, and even Georgia's level
- 25:29yet, you know what I'm saying? Y'all got a ways to go.
- 25:31But you had players that made plays, you know, your
- 25:34quarterback threw for almost 400 yards.
- 25:36You had a tight end hustling from one end of the field to the
- 25:40other to make a tackle to stop a touchdown.
- 25:42Like come on man, don't come in. If we going to do anything, we
- 25:45just at least going to tell the truth.
- 25:46We're going to tell the truth on a Wednesday, don't we?
- 25:49Don't fill y'all's heads with we did everything wrong and we
- 25:52still overcame. No, you got help by the refs and
- 25:56you won the game. Now you got to go beat Kyle.
- 25:58Let's see what y'all going to do when you go out there.
- 26:00I just want to go ahead. New king, you steal.
- 26:02My God. Oh, we won't go to the next
- 26:03time. Curtis, what you got?
- 26:05Well, I was saying I was pitching the Sheldon here up to
- 26:07this point, who's the player you've been down on or saying,
- 26:11why isn't this guy playing? Like I know he can play, but
- 26:15Friday night it it it reversed the script for you.
- 26:21I might need a second to chew on that.
- 26:23All right, go definitely all. Right.
- 26:25Pitch it over to Brian then. Yeah, let's go, Brian.
- 26:27I mean, low hanging fruit is Chiron, but I'm going to
- 26:30actually say Daquan Felton. I saw some life from him.
- 26:36The whole game he was engaged in blocking.
- 26:41He looked like a like he was a little bit more focused than he
- 26:44had been the last couple weeks. I was really impressed with with
- 26:48how he played overall got got him involved in the game plan a
- 26:52little bit. So I like that.
- 26:53And then obviously, you know, we know what happened with the with
- 26:56the Hail Mary at the end there. So I was excited to see him get
- 27:00back a little bit in the game plan.
- 27:02So I I think he kind of surprised me a little bit.
- 27:06About you Tally, you got to watch that late so you saw all
- 27:09the data. You kind of knew what was going
- 27:11to happen. Who who who stood out to you.
- 27:14Did I drop it? It's not that anybody kind of
- 27:16surprised me on stepping up. It was more of the coaches
- 27:21letting people play. You know what I'm saying?
- 27:23Like to see Woodson get in the game to see, you know, Caleb
- 27:27Spencer get more burn to see PJ Prelude get in.
- 27:31You know what I'm saying? So I can't say I was expecting
- 27:34more out of them because they haven't been put in a position
- 27:37to play. So it looks like like we Got
- 27:39Talent on the sidelines, man. I'm just waiting for the coaches
- 27:42to put them in and and let them do their thing.
- 27:45Malachi, I like you, man. You, you got to go third string,
- 27:48brother. I mean, you can't be that big
- 27:51and not get no yards. We need, we need, you know, 2
- 27:54yards of carry, 3 yards of carry something, give me something.
- 27:57Prelude look like he is a change of pace guy.
- 28:01Yeah, I agree with you on the change of pace.
- 28:02I think that's that's big because when you get somebody
- 28:05that can great tackles the way Tootin can and can kind of do a
- 28:10little bit of everything, you get somebody that's one cut and
- 28:13go like Prelude, that creates some problems for the defense
- 28:17because he gets up feels so quick.
- 28:20All right, Sheldon, back to you. I'll go Wilfred Pernet.
- 28:25I think he's been surprisingly solid, you know, graded out
- 28:28pretty decently against Miami and also had four QB pressures,
- 28:31which was a big stat. So I think I think Tech did a,
- 28:34you know, OK job getting to getting to Ken Ward.
- 28:36So I'll go open a kind of under the radar guy, you know, not
- 28:40something you had a ton of expectations for, but I, I was
- 28:43surprisingly impressed with him. All right, I'm going to go with
- 28:47one, and it might be a little obvious because of what he did
- 28:49down at the goal line. Moose Phillips.
- 28:51Moose Phillips the third. I think it's the maturation with
- 28:54safeties that he will. His tackles were cleaner this
- 28:58week. His coverages were cleaner.
- 29:00Did he miss a few fits? Yeah, but they they weren't as
- 29:04bad as they were three games ago.
- 29:06And remember, he's a sophomore, my kids a sophomore, and he's
- 29:10out there in that pic. He absolutely baited potential
- 29:15Heisman winner Cam Ward into it because he showed off like he
- 29:19was going to play the flat. And as soon he saw Cam hit that
- 29:21third back foot, you saw him undercut that wheel and he was
- 29:24gone. And it's the maturation of that
- 29:27kid. It's like he's had some games
- 29:29where it's like you see him with tackles and it's like, Oh my
- 29:32God, What we are. I know why we got to start and I
- 29:36know he's Got Talent. I know he likes to lay lumber,
- 29:38but when you see a game of that caliber, he's the guys he were
- 29:41tackling. If you missed those tackles,
- 29:44they're gone. He wasn't missing them.
- 29:47And Shelton, I stole something from PFS 81 tackle grade for
- 29:51him. That means he didn't miss much.
- 29:53That means he was solid. So love hearing that.
- 29:58All righty. OK.
- 30:01You know, we usually do the bad segment, but we got to bring it
- 30:03up. And I know, Brian, you said they
- 30:05played a little bit better. Can special teams just stop
- 30:08making law errors in every single way please?
- 30:16I'll I'll take the what, 58 yard field goals though?
- 30:19Yeah, that's John Love, though. Well.
- 30:22Hey, hey. They developed him, so got to
- 30:24give him credit there. I mean, I know we hate him.
- 30:26I know he loves to hate on Stu Hall, but you got to get credit
- 30:29where it's due. Love is love is love is
- 30:32automatic too, man. Like he's what is he like?
- 30:34He's been like like 19 for 20 or something like that.
- 30:37Yeah, the one that 89 block 80. Nine percent, 89% since the
- 30:41starter last year. One of the best kickers in the
- 30:42country statistically, and he has not missed an extra point.
- 30:45Yeah, yeah, he's tough. It's just good to have.
- 30:48Yeah, it's good to have that in your pocket to like, we got the
- 30:52confidence to roll him out there and be like, hey, man, we need
- 30:54you to go hit this. And most of the time, that's
- 30:57what he's going to do. You know what I'm saying?
- 31:00My son was watching the game. He had cotillion Friday night.
- 31:03He got back late. So he he children watched the
- 31:05game with me. And when he kicked that 58 yard,
- 31:08he was like, Dad, that's like a Justin Tucker kick because it
- 31:11was like a Justin Tucker. Yeah, I think it was halfway up
- 31:13the pole. But the other piece, why I keep
- 31:15going back to saying it's the small things, the end of the
- 31:20first half pooch in that. I know the kid back there.
- 31:24They mentioned it like 19 times. He's at all world speed.
- 31:28How low usually puts it through the end zone.
- 31:32We're and I don't know if that's pride or if that's Stew.
- 31:35It's like put it through the end zone, give them no shot.
- 31:38It's just it's little things. Yeah, Little.
- 31:41Thing it started with with the with the time out before the
- 31:45field goal, yeah. So if you run some more clock
- 31:49before the field goal. Weigh down.
- 31:52Then you don't have to pooch it. You don't even think about
- 31:55pooping it right because it's down far enough where you're
- 31:58not, you're not concerned as long as you boot it deep.
- 32:01It is what it is. I think they saw 25 seconds.
- 32:04I think they saw if we can run a little bit more clock on this
- 32:07kick off, it might help us get out out of the half.
- 32:11I think they overthought it. And next thing you know, you got
- 32:14another three on the board. And as we see that, you know,
- 32:17those, those threes add up. And we're going to talk about
- 32:20another one here in just a second.
- 32:23Yeah, we are. Because I like the one thing
- 32:27about coach Pryor, whether we when we've interviewed him or
- 32:31you see him at the podium, he's usually self critical.
- 32:34If he makes errors in the game, he calls himself out.
- 32:38And he said it after the game. He said I've got to be better at
- 32:41game management and he had more than a couple on Friday night of
- 32:46game management issues. What can he do?
- 32:50Like what's the solution there? I mean, we got helmet.
- 32:54I I love what somebody said. I can't remember if it was on
- 32:56Twitter and a chat or something. We've got helmet communications
- 33:00and we still got five guys giving signals like wait a
- 33:03second, this is 2024. Somebody said take one of those
- 33:07guys, just put them next to pry and be like, what are you
- 33:09supposed to do? No timeouts and tell him when to
- 33:13call timeouts. But what's this?
- 33:15What do y'all have y'all both played stop, stop talking about
- 33:21it. Stop talking about need to be
- 33:23better at this. We need to do this better.
- 33:25You know how to do it. You got to do it stop.
- 33:29I mean to me it don't seem like it's a it don't seem like it's a
- 33:34huge thing to to fix. You know what I'm saying?
- 33:38Like the mistakes keep being the same mistakes and at some point
- 33:43you got to you got to fix the mistake.
- 33:44You know what I'm saying? Like Sheldon, I know you ain't
- 33:47married yet, but that's three are married.
- 33:49Your wife is not going to allow you to make the same mistake 3
- 33:52or 4 days in a row. Oh baby, I forgot to take trash
- 33:54out. Oh baby, I forgot to watch them
- 33:56dish. Oh baby, I forgot to clean the
- 33:58car. Oh baby, I, I, I don't do it,
- 34:00but you going to be done. You going to be out of there
- 34:04sooner or later. You can't keep making the same
- 34:06mistake and then it don't matter if you make it sound good.
- 34:10Hey baby, no, I forgot to no, I forgot to take that trash out,
- 34:13but I bought you some McDonald's home here you go I got you this
- 34:17I got you this fish filet baby here you go it don't help the
- 34:22trash still didn't get taken out like come on man you got to fix
- 34:26the mistakes and quit talking about fixing the mistakes Stu
- 34:30hey man, you got to quit making mistakes on special teams If I'm
- 34:34proud somebody getting thrown under the bus hey man, you got
- 34:37to go. That's what I'm saying.
- 34:39I mean, if hey, if it's me or you, it's got to be you.
- 34:44I got to put somebody on the chopping block because sooner or
- 34:47later at the every game they keep showing it.
- 34:51Brett Pryor is blank and blank. He's won this many games.
- 34:54He's lost this many games. If this number keeps going up
- 34:58and this number keeps staying the same, you, you ain't going
- 35:02to have a job. You got to do something that's
- 35:05just it's wins and losses, like kissing babies is cool and
- 35:09shaking our hands and, you know, doing cool videos, it's cool.
- 35:13But it comes down to wins and losses.
- 35:16Like you got to get some of those wins.
- 35:18You got to steal some of those games.
- 35:20And you cannot continue to talk about we should have won that,
- 35:24you know what I'm saying? You have to be on the other side
- 35:26of some of those wins and go, we did win that.
- 35:28That's a big game. You know, that Miami game was a
- 35:30huge game. Brett Price still doesn't have a
- 35:34signature win. He's been here three years.
- 35:37When does he get it? That's all I'm saying.
- 35:41He had the opportunity. He was right there.
- 35:43He was right there. Yeah, I don't, I, I, I hate to
- 35:46be pessimistic, but I just, I don't see what the solution is.
- 35:49Like I, I, I think I tweeted this on Friday, but like there's
- 35:52a certain you have to have like this, this internal clock in
- 35:54your head when it comes to game management, kind of like the
- 35:56quarterback who, you know, can, it can process things really
- 35:59quickly. It's a really hard skill to
- 36:01teach. I just, I think prize, you know,
- 36:03he's been a long time assistant. I just don't think he has that
- 36:05internal clock when it comes to game, when it comes to time
- 36:08management. And, you know, and I know some
- 36:11people said, like, Hey, we should hire an assistant to, you
- 36:13know, kind of baby him. Like, I don't know if there's
- 36:15any other school in the country that does that like to, to have
- 36:18like a special assistant for clock management on the field.
- 36:20I feel like that would just add to the, you know, chaos that's
- 36:22going on. Because again, you got to think
- 36:24about from his perspective, you know, he's thinking about what's
- 36:26what's our play call? You know, he's got to think
- 36:28about like, you know, so many different aspects of the game.
- 36:31It's hard to balance when you're actually on the sideline doing
- 36:34it in real time. You know, obviously we criticize
- 36:36them as fans, but you know, we're kind of looking at like
- 36:38the clock management perspective.
- 36:39You know, we're not thinking about all the things he's
- 36:41thinking about. So I just, I don't know, it's
- 36:44just it's a skill you either have, you have it or don't.
- 36:47And we're 29 games in. I just don't know if we're going
- 36:49to get. It yeah.
- 36:50And I think the the the problem comes more in those like crunch
- 36:54time situations, right? So, you know, when you look at
- 36:56something, when we talk about, you know, Felton getting out of
- 37:00bounds, you got to juggle the fact that you got to get the
- 37:06play in, you got to get back on the line of scrimmage.
- 37:09But you also, you got to jaw at the ref a little bit and get in
- 37:11his ear. And you got to be able to do all
- 37:14of that at one time without wasting 8 or 9 seconds, which it
- 37:18ultimately ended up happening. You know, that's what's 1 play.
- 37:22You know, there, there's a handful of plays that happened
- 37:24on that last drive that I think the amount of action going on
- 37:30contributed to the poor clock management, not, not just the
- 37:34fact that he wasn't aware of, of the situation we were in.
- 37:39So it's, it's not, it's not just an awareness problem.
- 37:42I, I think it was managing multiple crises at one time,
- 37:47right? So I think, I think that's,
- 37:48that's the bigger issue. And I think that's just going to
- 37:51be something that takes some time to adjust to, for someone
- 37:55that hasn't had to have that role, you know, before coming to
- 37:59Virginia Tech. And, and to Sheldon's point, it
- 38:02it it's, it is just going to take time.
- 38:04I don't it's not necessarily something that you can flip a
- 38:07switch on, but it that's frustrating for a fan base,
- 38:10especially when you know decisions like that matter in
- 38:16those one score situations and we have not been very good in
- 38:20those one score situations under pride.
- 38:23So Yep, in in a lot of those one score situations, it's been
- 38:26issues of the management of the clock of knowing, OK, now it's
- 38:29time to call a timeout like, oh, no, no, in the first half.
- 38:32No, don't call a timeout. They're not using their timeout.
- 38:35Just wait. They want to use their timeout.
- 38:38That's fine to Danny. Let it run all the way down,
- 38:40down. As far as you can.
- 38:41I'm petitioning for this. Virginia Tech should hire
- 38:44Shelton to be the clock manager on the sidelines.
- 38:46That's all. Your job will be.
- 38:47Shelton the clock know exactly when the toilet he's available.
- 38:51He needs a job. He's an alumni.
- 38:53He understands clock management. He will tell you, Coach Pratt,
- 38:57when to call the time out, when not to.
- 39:00He will tell you they're gonna keep him inbound.
- 39:03You need to call the time out right now so.
- 39:05Yeah, no, I could do it and it's fine because I played Madden
- 39:08growing up and I feel like my generation knows clock
- 39:10management pretty well. The older generation, the older
- 39:13generation, they don't have that thing inside.
- 39:17If you play Madden every single day for like 5 years, you have
- 39:20it in your brain. And by the way, just for the
- 39:23last commenter peacefully asked about the clock not stopping
- 39:26when Felton went out of bounds on last drive.
- 39:28I know the player talking about it's because Felton was going
- 39:30backwards or sideways if you go backwards or sideways to get out
- 39:34of bounds. I always thought sideways meant
- 39:36the clock stopped backwards. I always knew was a running
- 39:39clock. I never thought sideways cuz.
- 39:40Yeah, the the refs might give you some leeway there, but
- 39:43generally speaking, if you if you try to angle backwards out
- 39:45of bounds, the clock's not gonna stop.
- 39:47And I think that's what happened there, so.
- 39:48Just you would have known that and told Coach Pratt called out
- 39:51Here we got 2 here, we've got to burn 1.
- 39:53Either go all the time out now or get a damn play in fast
- 39:56instead of wasting 10 seconds. Like run it quick, run it quick.
- 39:59I think, I think another thing we need to start working on, and
- 40:01this is an offensive coordinator situation is getting multiple
- 40:04plays into. The huddle in those two-minute
- 40:07situations, you need to have a play ready to go you need to be
- 40:10able to get on the line, understand down in distance,
- 40:13understand where you are in the moment and and have plays that
- 40:17you can get in there accordingly without having to scramble.
- 40:22Yeah, after a call like that where you're like all right, are
- 40:26we getting the clock favorable here are we not so. 100 percent,
- 40:31100%. Hi Brian.
- 40:32I'm I'm gonna pitch it back to you on this because feel like
- 40:34you might have a very strong feel one way or the other.
- 40:37Would you have pulled the trigger on the fake up 10?
- 40:41I would have taken the three. I don't hate the call itself.
- 40:45I hate the execution by a certain tackle that shall remain
- 40:48nameless. Yeah.
- 40:51So I mean that that that's kind of where I land on it.
- 40:53I think that we I don't I don't hate the call.
- 40:57I would have taken the three though, because I feel like in
- 41:01games like that where it's where it's tight, where you have an
- 41:04offense that can score the ball on you, when you get a big play
- 41:08like that, I know you hate not coming away with six, but 3 is
- 41:14better than than not coming away with anything.
- 41:18And again, you got to execute. I mean, it's it's, it's a, it's
- 41:21a first down if you execute. Cal taking the points going for
- 41:27it yeah, I probably would have I probably would have took the
- 41:31points in that situation. Just me myself.
- 41:34Like I just feel like, you know, we you need all the points you
- 41:40can get and if they're there, take them.
- 41:42But if I'm in that game and I'm looking how we're playing, I
- 41:48mean, I'm not going to go with a little brother Carl.
- 41:50I'm not going with a fake field goal.
- 41:51I'm going to put my offense on the line and I'm going to say
- 41:55we're going to go our best play and we're going to either get
- 41:58this or we're not. I'm not trying to get a ball to
- 42:01Harrison St. Germain to get me 3 yards.
- 42:05When I got Tooting that they cannot stop and I got Kyron that
- 42:09can get us. Like, I just feel like that
- 42:11wasn't a call. If I'm going to do that's a
- 42:13little brother call, you know what I'm saying?
- 42:15Like that's that, that's it. Like if I'm playing my son in
- 42:19basketball, which he's more athletic than I am now, but when
- 42:23he's small, he's got to do stuff to steal points.
- 42:27Like now he's just going to go shoot or he's going to go to the
- 42:30goal because he's quicker than me and make a layup.
- 42:31Like you don't have to. You got to get out of that
- 42:35mindset. Like when you're playing like
- 42:37we're playing that day, I'm saying hi y'all.
- 42:39What you think we're going to go for it?
- 42:40So I'm, I'm not mad at him for going for it.
- 42:43I'm mad at the call. If you're going to go for it,
- 42:45what about you, Sheldon? I would have preferred to just
- 42:49go for it straight up from scrimmage.
- 42:51I like the way the offense was moving the ball and I, I trust,
- 42:54you know, try to try to have your skill guys make a play in
- 42:57space. Based on what price on the
- 42:58postgame, it seems like they got a certain look from Miami that
- 43:01that gave them the idea to go for it.
- 43:04I guess, you know, they had to like check into it.
- 43:07So they probably saw something that they liked.
- 43:08Obviously it didn't work out. But again, we talk about
- 43:11compounding mistakes. Again, if you make if you if you
- 43:14manage the end of the first half correctly, you're +3.
- 43:16So that means you're leading by 13 in that situation rather than
- 43:2010. If you're up 13, hey, can the
- 43:22field go up by 16? That's two touchdowns, +2 to
- 43:25point conversions. Maybe you're thinking that's a
- 43:27little bit more, you know, a little bit more manageable there
- 43:29and said you're up by 10. So there's more, you know,
- 43:32ambiguity in terms of how you play it because you want to go
- 43:34up by 17, you know, go up by three scores.
- 43:36So again, stakes compound mistakes.
- 43:39All right, agreed. I am.
- 43:42I like what y'all are saying go, you know if you can go for it
- 43:45put you guys on the field, you know that's fine.
- 43:48Take the point because at that point in time, 10 point game,
- 43:52that was the pick play right? That was the Caleb Spencer pick
- 43:56that we got deep. You have all the momentum, all
- 44:00that fake does. If you don't pull it off or if
- 44:02you don't get it on 4th down, they take the momentum back.
- 44:05You go down there and they stop and you kick the field goal.
- 44:08They didn't take much momentum back because now they look up
- 44:10and say we got to drive the field.
- 44:12Not once. We got to drive the field twice.
- 44:14We can't screw up either one of our extra point kicks because if
- 44:17we do, it's a tie game. If we make a mistake going down,
- 44:20they can sit on this ball and start eating clock, which is our
- 44:23enemy. But that's what my thing was.
- 44:26I'm like it was the momentum shift because as soon as we
- 44:29missed it, as soon as somebody got blocked in the Harrison St.
- 44:33Germain, not going to mention the name, but the number, y'all
- 44:36know what it is? They had all the momentum.
- 44:39They did. They had all the momentum.
- 44:41It's like, oh, they were trying to put us away.
- 44:43Are we going to go? We're going to go get them.
- 44:45It's like the horror movie. I'm going to try to kill him the
- 44:48best I can instead of getting out of there.
- 44:50All right, so I'm going to end it with this because or almost
- 44:55ended with this. Do y'all think Miami is a legit
- 44:58team? Could they be to the second
- 45:01round of the playoffs? Yes.
- 45:05I think so. I think depending on the
- 45:07matchup, yes. All right, I'm with y'all on
- 45:11that. I think they are.
- 45:11I think they have enough weapons now.
- 45:14I do think they showed some flaws.
- 45:16I think that left side of that offensive line, if you go put an
- 45:20elite guy who's going to the NFL, that kid got worked.
- 45:23Yeah, I got work by APR all night.
- 45:26They have their flaws, but they are explosive.
- 45:29And when you got a when, oh, look at this, look at this, look
- 45:32at this. This is a lot of people hating
- 45:34right now. No, they ain't legit, Chris.
- 45:37They ain't legit. They're legit.
- 45:39They are. Legit I think Cam.
- 45:41Mommy got a good. Team So the thing that impressed
- 45:43me watching Cam Ward, I mean, obviously the physical tools are
- 45:47there, but his poise in the face of Rush, in the face like that,
- 45:54that was the thing that impressed me the most about his
- 45:57game is that he never flinched. Chris, I'm going to say
- 46:02something right here, Chris. They averaged 5 yards of carry
- 46:05on us running the ball. They can run the ball.
- 46:08They struggled. They struggled stopping the run.
- 46:13But we also have two of the most dynamic players in the country
- 46:17back there. Yeah.
- 46:18I mean, you got to give us. That's also say you got to give
- 46:20us credit too. It's not like they just were a
- 46:23horrible team. It's just and again, like I
- 46:26said, the new king is not like they played a bad game.
- 46:28Miami scored 38 points. They didn't play the bad game.
- 46:32They just you know, they play the team that punched back.
- 46:36So I'm interested to see what they do this week for for Miami.
- 46:42All right, anything else y'all want to bring up because we have
- 46:45just about got to the end here. You know Miami missed 19 tackles
- 46:50in that game. Half one would have tuned,
- 46:53weren't they? Yeah, nine were tuned, so
- 46:56obviously, you know, that kind of plays into it.
- 46:58But still, I mean, certainly not their not their finest
- 47:00performance. I think if you're a Miami fan,
- 47:02you're kind of look at that like, man, we, you know, we made
- 47:04some mistakes but still got out of it, you know, with a win
- 47:07against it, you know, a decent team.
- 47:09Yeah. So kind of, you know, different
- 47:11ways to look at it obviously. Yeah, and I mean, I'm not, I'm
- 47:13not trying to say that Miami played a, a their best game.
- 47:17I I don't think, I don't think we got their best game, but I
- 47:19think we got a good game from them.
- 47:21Yeah, when you got when you got received with catching the ball
- 47:25on their back. Yeah.
- 47:26They had a little something on their side, that's all I'm
- 47:28saying. Like they they they got a, they
- 47:31got some playmakers. They did what they had to do.
- 47:33So I got to give them their props on that.
- 47:36But I mean, when you talk about missed tackles, sometimes it's
- 47:39the player like I seen Tootin bouncing off people making stuff
- 47:42happen. I seen Karen bouncing off people
- 47:45making stuff happen. And Gosnell, he's just, he's
- 47:49slippery. Like, come on man, we got
- 47:51players too. We got it.
- 47:52Our coaches got to understand that, you know, as well as our
- 47:55fans and the players themselves. Like man, y'all dudes too, you
- 47:59know, we got to go into games the same way, you know, we don't
- 48:02we shouldn't have to wait till Game 5 till we see this guy.
- 48:06We shouldn't have to wait, you know, till whatever to see this.
- 48:10Like man, just if we start doing this, we ain't even having these
- 48:14conversations. You know what I'm saying?
- 48:15Like we sitting at 5 and O or four and one so 100% all righty
- 48:22so let's flip it just a couple things on if y'all have not
- 48:26heard. I know we didn't talk about it
- 48:28last week, but you know there were more pressing things last
- 48:31week. May 7th 2025 Metallica will play
- 48:35Lane stadium probably I think they're saying 80,000 plus
- 48:40there. Brian has already purchased his
- 48:43tickets. He is going, he was one of the
- 48:47first ones, but pretty cool regardless whether you're a fan
- 48:51of Metallica or not, it's pretty damn cool.
- 48:54They got that band. They've been around 40 years to
- 48:58come to Blacksburg. That's what I said about that.
- 49:07Ain't got it. That what I say about that.
- 49:10We're for the will these dudes out here in wheelchairs to play
- 49:14what we waiting what they wait till 2025 to do this for
- 49:20Sheldon? Are you going to see Metallica
- 49:21play? Nope, that's not my cup of tea.
- 49:25Them kids ain't going to see them.
- 49:28That's going to be people are older than me going up, man, get
- 49:32some. I'm going to calm down what we
- 49:34got next, Curtis. We'll go back to that later on.
- 49:38Y'all know? Y'all know how I feel about
- 49:40them. Well, listen, you hated the song
- 49:45until you went to spring in a few years ago and we completely
- 49:47turned you around on No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 49:51I didn't. I didn't hate the song.
- 49:53That's not it. I didn't hate the song.
- 49:55I hated people's reaction to the song.
- 49:58When all I heard on Twitter was this is back when we had
- 50:02Twitter. This wasn't X.
- 50:04All I heard was this is what makes our interest the best.
- 50:07This is what I'm like, no, y'all make the interest the best.
- 50:09The fans do. Like the fans show up and
- 50:12they're going to support. Like it don't matter what song
- 50:14I'm playing now because of that song.
- 50:17And people have embraced it and they show up and do the same
- 50:21thing every week. Yeah, that's cool.
- 50:23But we ain't just that. We shouldn't be just the
- 50:25interest, you know what I'm saying?
- 50:26Like that's that. That was my take on it.
- 50:28I never hated the song, you know?
- 50:31I'm just looking at it like, I feel like we fantasize Metallica
- 50:35too much, like we give them too much credit.
- 50:37I'm glad they show up. I hope they start wearing
- 50:39Virginia Tech stuff. Like when I see them go on shows
- 50:42and they start wearing Virginia Tech hats and talking about
- 50:45their song being played at Lane Stadium, maybe I feel a little
- 50:48bit better about them. I feel like we get them more
- 50:50publicity than they give us. That's just my opinion, all
- 50:54right? And with that are in the middle
- 50:58here. So before we flip over to know
- 51:00the enemy, as y'all know we are brought to you by counts Family
- 51:04Pharmacy, your friendly neighborhood pharmacy.
- 51:06Check out Jeremy and the staff over three O 1 S Main St. in
- 51:10Blacksburg. Well, we got to close it and we
- 51:13got to move on because the boys got to get on a plane tomorrow.
- 51:16I think they're getting on the plane about lunchtime tomorrow
- 51:19and flying out West down to Stanford, down on the Farm.
- 51:23And we do need to get to know the enemy of the two and three
- 51:28or two and two Stanford Cardinal coming off basically getting
- 51:32thumped by Clemson down in Death Valley last week.
- 51:36So let's talk about them. And I want to talk about their
- 51:38offense. One of the more unusual or
- 51:41unique things you see in college or you don't see in college
- 51:44football. Their offensive coordinator is
- 51:46Troy Taylor. He is also their head coach.
- 51:49Brian, hey, could you do that even at the Pop Warner level,
- 51:54first of all? And then what's give us a little
- 51:56bit about Troy Taylor's offense? Could I personally do that?
- 52:00Or could you? Personally do that at the Pop
- 52:02Warner level. I could, I could personally do
- 52:05it at the Pop Warner level, but I wouldn't want to go much past
- 52:08that with, with, with my abilities.
- 52:11Now. You know, I, I, I had a head
- 52:13coach at hand and Sydney that was also the offensive
- 52:16coordinator. So I know that that can it can
- 52:17be done and done at a high level.
- 52:21You know, 2003 in terms of scoring offense, we were number
- 52:25one in all of college football across all divisions.
- 52:28So it can be done. That being said, you know, it's
- 52:34it's not something that you see at the power 4 level very often.
- 52:38It let alone, you know, if you look at just Division One in
- 52:41general. So this is going to be a
- 52:45quarterback power option attack. It's, it's a, it's a run heavy
- 52:50system. It runs through the quarterback
- 52:52in that option attack. They're going to use their tight
- 52:56ends both as blockers and as receiving threats.
- 52:58You got two out there, Benjamin, you you Rosik and Sam Roush.
- 53:03Those are the tight ends that are in this offense.
- 53:07It, it's, it's an interesting offense because it, it is a,
- 53:11it's a run heavy team, but I don't think that they are
- 53:14necessarily ready up front to be super successful with that.
- 53:20But when they do get into a rhythm, they can, they can move
- 53:23the ball somewhat effectively. And you know, their quarterback,
- 53:27who we may or may not see is, is pretty effective both with his
- 53:31legs and throwing the football. Yeah, let's talk about him
- 53:36straight up here. Let's talk about Ashton Daniels,
- 53:40A a kind of a low prospect actually from the East Coast,
- 53:45played at Buford High School down in Georgia.
- 53:47Buford, if I can remember, that is where Dylan Witke went to
- 53:51right? So Mike, correct me if I'm wrong
- 53:54out there came out that was a three start back in 2022, six
- 54:00foot three, 200 lbs. And so far this season, like you
- 54:06said, Brian, lots of run. He is leading the team in
- 54:08rushing 600 yards passing, 5 touchdowns, 6 picks, 50 rushes,
- 54:15250 yards per. So obviously averaging a buck
- 54:19over 60 a game. So definitely a threat in that.
- 54:22What are you seeing from him? But I know he got banged up at
- 54:26the Clemson game and who potentially could be taking his
- 54:29place. Yeah.
- 54:30I mean, you kind of said it there.
- 54:32I mean, this guy is really good in the running game, really good
- 54:35with his reads in that option, has the athletic ability to make
- 54:41the big play, but is very consistent with getting good
- 54:44yardage in that running game. You know, when he comes to the
- 54:50pocket and and throwing the ball, he can make those throws
- 54:52on the run. He has pretty good poise, but he
- 54:55does take some risk with the football and and that's evidence
- 54:59with when you look at that touchdown interception ratio
- 55:02there. But when we look at who might
- 55:05end up starting in his place if he's not able to go, you're
- 55:07looking at Justin Lampson. I'd say just from a pure rushing
- 55:12standpoint, probably a little bit better.
- 55:14Doesn't have the reads or the vision that Daniels does, but I
- 55:19think in terms of pure athleticism right up there as
- 55:22well. But definitely does not possess
- 55:25the arm talent. But we haven't necessarily seen
- 55:29him unleash a whole lot yet. So I'd have to go look up the
- 55:34stuff on Lampson. I had a chance to look at a
- 55:37couple receivers. I know Tyler, I know you got
- 55:40one. But I want to talk about the
- 55:41receiver, Ishmael sis, because I feel like if when I look at his
- 55:47body type, bigger guy came out of Colorado five star basically
- 55:53playing here as a red shirt freshman, second on the team.
- 55:57Got a little bit of run last year.
- 56:01Did anything pop on tape for him as you were looking, Brian?
- 56:06Yeah, he's there probably down the field threat.
- 56:09They like to run him, you know, deep routes, wheel routes.
- 56:13They like to get him the ball down the field.
- 56:14He let him use his body to go up and make those plays.
- 56:19I think he's going to be a handful.
- 56:21I think he's a guy that you got to make sure doesn't get behind
- 56:23you. You know they don't throw the
- 56:25ball a ton, but they are pretty effective with hitting the deep
- 56:31balls when they do go for him. All right, Tally, were you able
- 56:38to get that info on the second wide receiver?
- 56:41Yeah, I got a little bit on him, so I ain't going to mess up his
- 56:44name. But is it Elik AO Manor?
- 56:49Does that sound right? Ayomano, I think.
- 56:52There we go. Whoever that the guy that caught
- 56:54all the passes against Colorado last year, we just don't need
- 56:59him to do that. I mean, this year he's got 21
- 57:02receptions, 284 yards, 2 touchdowns, averaging about 13
- 57:07yards per catch. I mean, he's a handful.
- 57:10He's he's 62, about 210. He's a a big receiver and he's a
- 57:15he's very skilled, probably an NFL guy.
- 57:18He's just a sophomore. So he's a very talented
- 57:22receiver. But again, we have some talented
- 57:27people as well. We're just going to have to
- 57:29figure out how to scheme to not let him get loose on us.
- 57:33But I think more of the problem is defending the run and then
- 57:37them busting a big plate. You know, you got a quarterback
- 57:39back there that can move around or a couple of quarterbacks back
- 57:42there moving around and then next thing you know, you got,
- 57:45you know, hitting hit one of those guys deep.
- 57:48That's what we're going to have to fight against this week.
- 57:51Yeah, and I mean, they're going to break in a not a not as much
- 57:54as as we saw against Vanderbilt, but they'll be some some triple
- 57:57option elements thrown in there from time to time.
- 58:00So we got to make sure that we're sticking with our men
- 58:03outside and not getting our eyes in the backfield.
- 58:05If you're a cornerback or a safety and get caught kick
- 58:09caught peeking. As far as Ayamano is concerned,
- 58:14he's got a powerful frame, kind of reminds me of a little bit
- 58:16taller Jalen Lane in a lot of ways, You know, good burst, good
- 58:21speed, separates well on those, like in breaking routes, on
- 58:25slants, on ends, on digs. But I'd say probably the biggest
- 58:30thing that he does poorly is that he will drop the ball.
- 58:34He'll put the ball on the turf. He's not as effective with that
- 58:38catch percentage as, you know, your typical NFL wide receiver
- 58:41would be. So that's probably the biggest
- 58:42weakness that he might have. All right, Sean, I know you said
- 58:48you did a little bit of research concerning their offensive line
- 58:50and their rushing. What?
- 58:53What are you finding out about that?
- 58:56Well, it hasn't been great individually.
- 58:57Stanford does not have any offensive lineman that grades
- 59:01top 50 in the ACC. And when you look at their their
- 59:05team sets overall 91st in rushing success rate, they don't
- 59:09really stand up particularly in anyone statistical category.
- 59:13You know, offense overall 83rd or excuse me, 79th in SP plus.
- 59:19So, you know, not great there. They're 49th in pass blocking
- 59:21efficiency, which is, you know, kind of on the lower end of
- 59:24power power four and they've struggled a lot in early downs.
- 59:28So 126 in EPA. So obviously when you get behind
- 59:32the sticks, you know, that makes it, that makes even tougher, you
- 59:35know, facing a lot, lots of third lungs, which if you can't,
- 59:39you know, if, if you're struggling past recession, kind
- 59:41of makes everything worse. So, you know, like Brian said,
- 59:44they do throw a pretty decent amount of deep balls.
- 59:47They just aren't particularly successful at completing a lot
- 59:50of them. What did you see from Pass Pro
- 59:55and just, you know, obviously the numbers are saying a lot of
- 59:57things there, but what did you just get the feel of to say if
- 1:00:01we do X on the defensive line, they're going to absolutely
- 1:00:06struggle? I don't think we're going to
- 1:00:08have a problem getting pressure with four.
- 1:00:10When you think about APR, when you think about Burgos, I, I, I
- 1:00:13think we're not going to have a problem getting into their
- 1:00:15backfield. I think the thing that concerns
- 1:00:19me and, and you know, we saw us some of it last week with Cam
- 1:00:22Ward is that, you know, you got to be cognizant of those pass
- 1:00:26rush lanes and make sure you don't give athletic quarterbacks
- 1:00:30lanes to kind of steal third downs from you.
- 1:00:34So that's the thing that that concerns me.
- 1:00:35But from a just a being able to line up and and play with them
- 1:00:40in the trenches, I think we we've got them in spades looking
- 1:00:43at our defensive line against that offensive line.
- 1:00:47All righty. So there's a little bit of the
- 1:00:49offensive potentially what we could see Saturday afternoon
- 1:00:53330, is it ACC Network Saturday? I haven't seen the the network
- 1:00:59yet, might find that out for me. Efforting.
- 1:01:03Efredine, Efredine. But while Brian or Tally or
- 1:01:07Shelton find that, we are going to flip over to the defensive
- 1:01:10side of the ball. Brian defense led by Bobby
- 1:01:15April. Give me a little bit about this.
- 1:01:18I think it's got one of those unique defenses, right?
- 1:01:22Yeah. I mean, we're kind of looking at
- 1:01:24that, that 245 defense that we saw some with the UNC up until
- 1:01:32the last last couple years there.
- 1:01:34But they will also shift over into a three, three stack.
- 1:01:37So you get a little bit of multiplicity there where they're
- 1:01:40going to have multiple fronts thrown at our offense.
- 1:01:44And you know, primarily they're going to be in that.
- 1:01:47That 245 though, especially in this passing downs very much
- 1:01:51predicated on stopping the run. First they want to get you
- 1:01:55behind the sticks and then, you know, bring pressure from
- 1:01:58multiple levels, Bring some of those pressure packages that
- 1:02:01confuse the offensive line, get you to make some mistakes so
- 1:02:04that that's really their their goal and their bread and butter
- 1:02:07is to play well on 1st down. And then you send some of their
- 1:02:12their outside linebackers at you.
- 1:02:15All righty. And talking about sending those
- 1:02:18outside linebackers, talking about pressure, they are really
- 1:02:22LED in that department by a guy by the name of David Bailey.
- 1:02:26David Bailey was a top 50 player when he came out in 2022.
- 1:02:31He was one of the top five edges in the country.
- 1:02:33He's 6 foot three. He's about 240 lbs now out of
- 1:02:37Mater D High School. That's a big one out in
- 1:02:39California that puts out studs. Last year, 5 sacks with 34
- 1:02:45tackles. This year in just four games,
- 1:02:48two sacks already, 8 total tackles.
- 1:02:50Brian, I know we were going to talk about kind of the leader
- 1:02:54there, Anthony Franklin, but you messaged me and said I like
- 1:02:58Franklin, but we got to talk about David Bailey.
- 1:03:00What? What did you see from him on
- 1:03:01that take? Yeah, I mean, he's the dude.
- 1:03:04He stands out on this defense. He plays that outside linebacker
- 1:03:08spot in their base set, but he will be a stack backer in the
- 1:03:11335. He comes off the edge with with
- 1:03:16with really good balance, able to bend very well, get around
- 1:03:21the outside, make plays on the quarterback really good bull
- 1:03:25rush isn't lost when he's asked to to have coverage
- 1:03:30responsibilities either. So he's he's he's a little
- 1:03:32versatile in that way. So he's really kind of a do it
- 1:03:34all guy from that position. All righty.
- 1:03:39And so Shelton sent me this as well.
- 1:03:42RSD Man 97 ACC Network 330I think we are there Bell Cal
- 1:03:49there because they know we're going to come in to watch every
- 1:03:52week. Valley.
- 1:03:54Were you able to get that stuff for Tristan Sinclair?
- 1:03:57Yeah, Tristan Sinclair, one of the linebackers, he's actually
- 1:04:02he was a when you talk about high school coming out of high
- 1:04:04school, he was a stud coming out of high school, borderline 5
- 1:04:08star player, big offers, you know, Notre Dame, Colorado,
- 1:04:15Texas A&M, Nebraska, Southern Cal, Utah.
- 1:04:20So had a lot of good offers and and has been, you know, very
- 1:04:24productive at at at Stanford. He's their leading Tyler right
- 1:04:30now. He's got a sack so far this
- 1:04:33season and about 24 tackles. So he's going to be a handful.
- 1:04:38You know, they're in that line back in court as well.
- 1:04:41Brian, what you got on him? Yeah, I mean, the big thing
- 1:04:45about him, I mean, he's their definitely their best run
- 1:04:47defense linebacker on the field, really good at shedding
- 1:04:51blockers, beating the play in the gap.
- 1:04:54I wouldn't call him as good sideline to sideline as maybe
- 1:04:58some of the other linebackers we've seen this year, but he
- 1:05:01makes up for it and just having a nose for the football and kind
- 1:05:04of being wherever he needs to be.
- 1:05:06So definitely a guy that we got to account for every play on
- 1:05:11that, that linebacking unit for the Cardinal.
- 1:05:14All right, Sheldon, send me a quick message.
- 1:05:17Sheldon, you said you had a couple things on David Bailey,
- 1:05:20obviously. Yeah, so he is graded out at at
- 1:05:2491 on PFF, not only the highest on the team, but also the
- 1:05:27highest in the ACC. So they they like him the most.
- 1:05:31Now he he has been banged up the past couple of games, which is
- 1:05:33why he's only played 39 snaps total the last few games.
- 1:05:37But he does have 11 quarterback pressures, which is obviously,
- 1:05:41you know, a really a gaudy total at this point in the season.
- 1:05:45Like I said, Sinclair at the linebacker spot, leading tackler
- 1:05:49Bernadel grades out at 70 on BFF, really good and run
- 1:05:52defense, another one of their linebackers.
- 1:05:55And then I've got a couple, you know, decent corners, Colin
- 1:05:58Wright, who's averaging 4.2 yards per per target when he's
- 1:06:03thrown out this year and has a really good pass rating when
- 1:06:07teams go at him. So, you know, pretty decent,
- 1:06:09decent corners overall. Defensively, again, still not
- 1:06:13great. 90th and SP plus and 102nd and success rate allowed
- 1:06:18in particular, they've actually struggled overall as a
- 1:06:21secondary. They rank 112th and drop back
- 1:06:24success rates that includes passing attempts and Sachs as
- 1:06:26well. You know, they just they just
- 1:06:29haven't really been good in that that back four there.
- 1:06:32Yep. And you and you mentioned Colin,
- 1:06:34right? And, and Brian, I want you to
- 1:06:37tell me what you were seeing on tape with him because he's
- 1:06:39listed on the depth chart as a corner.
- 1:06:41And you know, so far this season as far as a corner goes and
- 1:06:45playing last year, he's already got 2 picks this year.
- 1:06:48One of those was in the Clemson game, couple tackles for loss
- 1:06:53last year, 5 past deflections. Where are they lining him up?
- 1:06:58Because you know, they're saying corner, but are they doing a lot
- 1:07:02of different things? Is he's like their gadget guy
- 1:07:04they can do anything with? Yeah, I mean, he's basically a
- 1:07:07nickel safety is kind of how they're deploying him.
- 1:07:10You know, he'll be, he'll play kind of a box safety.
- 1:07:14He'll he'll also, you know, line up outside of the nickel so that
- 1:07:17they'll use him a couple different ways, but that that's
- 1:07:20really how they're lining him up.
- 1:07:21And you know, looking at him play, I mean, he's really sound
- 1:07:24from a technical standpoint. I like the way he plays
- 1:07:27football. He does a really good job of
- 1:07:28playing with leverage out there on the outside.
- 1:07:31So he's definitely somebody that you know we've got to account
- 1:07:35for and like I said from from that role, he is very good and
- 1:07:39run support, but also isn't a liability in that, in that pass
- 1:07:43coverage piece as well. All righty.
- 1:07:46So there is sort of the know your enemy, some key players
- 1:07:50from the Stanford Cardinal as we go out there Saturday to take
- 1:07:55them on. But, you know, always we're
- 1:07:58going to talk about what we feel are the keys to the Hokies
- 1:08:01games. So Jonathan Talley, I'm going to
- 1:08:03kick to you first. Any specific keys, whether
- 1:08:07mental, statistical, just feel for this game for the Hokies,
- 1:08:17Yeah, It's just punch. It's not mental.
- 1:08:19It's physical. You got a punch.
- 1:08:21Like go drink a Red Bull and act like a idiot from the trailer
- 1:08:28park when Alabama loses. Punch, punch something, not
- 1:08:35physically punch somebody. But you got to go into the game
- 1:08:38and you got to have the same mindset as you had against
- 1:08:40Miami. Not just because it's Miami, not
- 1:08:42just because they got the little number by their name.
- 1:08:45You got to go into the game knowing that it's going to be a
- 1:08:47fight every game. If we win in every game, like we
- 1:08:50went into that Miami game, I don't want to keep dwelling on
- 1:08:52it. I feel like things would have
- 1:08:54been much different. So if you got to go into this
- 1:08:57game ready to punch. And I think we'll be fine if we
- 1:08:59if we do that. Sean, what about you?
- 1:09:03What? What is your key in this game?
- 1:09:07I mean, I think just, you know, kind of be able to attack them
- 1:09:10vertically in the passing game. Like I said, this is a team that
- 1:09:12struggles a lot defending the the pass.
- 1:09:15So, you know, I'd like to see some some creativity there,
- 1:09:18just, you know, be able to push the ball down field.
- 1:09:20I think it's a good match up for Vt.
- 1:09:22You know, I know, you know, much has been made about the the end
- 1:09:25to last week. It seems like from, you know,
- 1:09:27everything we've seen with the program, they are 100% moved on
- 1:09:29from, from Miami game, you know, refocused.
- 1:09:32And I think they come out pretty strong and, and you know, if
- 1:09:35they play like they're they're capable of, they will win this
- 1:09:36game. Brian, what about you, man?
- 1:09:42I'm gonna say it here. Don't let one play beat you
- 1:09:44twice. I noticed.
- 1:09:47I know you're looking at based on what Sheldon said, but
- 1:09:49looking at everything I've seen, it looks like they've done the
- 1:09:52job of kind of putting Miami behind them.
- 1:09:55I want to see it on the field because we we can't do that
- 1:09:59thing where we let one game and one play beat us 2 times.
- 1:10:03So we need to go out there. We have to get back to 500, keep
- 1:10:06moving forward in ACC play and see what happens and let it
- 1:10:08shake out. But we got to take care of
- 1:10:10Stanford first. That's what's in front of you.
- 1:10:12Don't worry about what's behind you.
- 1:10:13Don't worry about what's ahead of them.
- 1:10:14Go ahead and take care of Stanford.
- 1:10:16Yep, and and for me it is going to be don't lose what you found
- 1:10:21Friday night because what you found Friday night was the team,
- 1:10:26not only all of us on this podcast expected everybody over.
- 1:10:30It's over here in the chat expected.
- 1:10:33That's the team we expected. If that team that plays like
- 1:10:37that shows up Saturday, it's going to be 645 and I'm going to
- 1:10:43be enjoying dinner. What a nice victory beer.
- 1:10:46If that team shows up Saturday, don't lose that because there
- 1:10:51are not a lot of teams left on the schedule that can beat that
- 1:10:54team that played Friday. And there's probably, I would
- 1:10:58say maybe, and maybe I'm being boisterous here.
- 1:11:02Maybe I'm being super confident. To me, that's only probably 10
- 1:11:05or 12 teams in the country that could beat that team that showed
- 1:11:08up Friday. And it would be a game like we
- 1:11:10played against Miami. It would be a war.
- 1:11:14All righty now we got to get into our predictions and I'm
- 1:11:17gonna let Shelton go first. Shelton give me a score
- 1:11:20prediction of this game. I'm gonna go Hokies.
- 1:11:25I'm gonna go 27 to 17. I think they're gonna come out,
- 1:11:30they're gonna cover, they're gonna play well.
- 1:11:32I think the the defense will be highly motivated.
- 1:11:35They're gonna get to the the young quarterback that's we
- 1:11:38presume it to be filling in for for Ashton Daniels, and I think
- 1:11:42they're going to make life miserable for him.
- 1:11:43I predict at least one sack for APR, if not more.
- 1:11:47If not more, Callie, I'm fading the Hokies, baby, I'm fading
- 1:11:56them. Put my face up in the locker
- 1:11:59room. I'm going to say 3427 Stanford.
- 1:12:05Only reason I'm saying it, it's because I got to see.
- 1:12:07I got to see it on the field, I got to see it on the field.
- 1:12:10We keep losing close games. I got to go by the past.
- 1:12:13You got to show me something in the future, Got to pick against
- 1:12:16you. Stanford Tally is not on board
- 1:12:19until they show him something. I feel like we heard this story
- 1:12:22last year and then they started showing him some Brian.
- 1:12:24Siegler I'm not fading, I think because I don't think it's going
- 1:12:30to be a close game. Being honest with you, I don't
- 1:12:33think it's going to be a blowout, but I think we're going
- 1:12:35to have a 14 point win there. I think it's going to be 3420
- 1:12:37Hokies. I think APR has three sacks.
- 1:12:40Show them. Let's do.
- 1:12:43It that'd be 10 for the that's 10 for the year 10 fucking 10
- 1:12:48might be going after some record chair.
- 1:12:49I'm going to throw this up. Chris Lester.
- 1:12:51Everybody always out there 3510 Hokies.
- 1:12:55I'm 3120 Hokies. I think they continue to bring
- 1:12:58that team. What I was going to say,
- 1:13:01Speaking of Chris Lester, thank you.
- 1:13:05Thank you, Chris. Thank you, Chris for texting me
- 1:13:08at 12:00 at night or 1:00 in the morning.
- 1:13:12And let me know what you watch on film.
- 1:13:13So I have to wake up and watch it too.
- 1:13:16It is your rule. It is your fault.
- 1:13:18It is your fault that I was up watching the game.
- 1:13:21So thank you, Chris. Now, Chris, that's my God, man.
- 1:13:23We go over a lot of football together, especially, you know,
- 1:13:27hokey football. And Chris is damn near a coach
- 1:13:31from from the couch like he's he's going over film and he's
- 1:13:35watching he's not watching the ball like some fans watch the
- 1:13:38game and watch the ball. Chris is watching everything.
- 1:13:40Hey, when you watch it, what look at look, look at this false
- 1:13:43step he takes. I'm like, how you?
- 1:13:45It's 2:00 in the morning, man. What are you looking at this
- 1:13:48for? Fuck it, let me get up and watch
- 1:13:50it to do so. It's my God, man.
- 1:13:54I love, I love the way he approaches it.
- 1:13:55I I in the comment comments he puts in here are always super
- 1:13:59insightful too. And I'll tell you another thing
- 1:14:02about Chris. I don't know if somebody all
- 1:14:03know but that that that dude is tall when when I saw him in
- 1:14:07Nashville. I didn't realize he was that big
- 1:14:08and tall either until I was in Nashville.
- 1:14:12Like on the pictures he ain't fat by no means, but in the
- 1:14:14pictures he look kind of skinny. Like now I got a back like
- 1:14:17Dwight Howard. I'm like damn.
- 1:14:18I mean like 6, like I'm like 6-2 and he's looking down at me.
- 1:14:22I'm like, no, I don't like that. I don't like being around people
- 1:14:25looking down at me. Dawg, got to sit down.
- 1:14:27If we're going to hang out, you got to sit down.
- 1:14:29Stop standing up over me. All right, I'm going to give my
- 1:14:33prediction now. I should have waited till after
- 1:14:35I've talked to because now we know exactly what to do for
- 1:14:38Tally. If you want to wake Tally up in
- 1:14:40the middle of the night, text him about a football play from
- 1:14:42our game. He will wake up.
- 1:14:44He will go downstairs. He will turn on the.
- 1:14:46TV it's got to be a false step. Where's the false step?
- 1:14:49Point out the false step. Special team miscue, several
- 1:14:52teams miscues. Give me 3120 Hokies.
- 1:14:55I think I'm with Brian on this. This is going to be in my
- 1:14:57opinion, I ain't going to say easy game, but cruise control
- 1:15:01game. Just do what you do.
- 1:15:04They ain't going to be able to stop it.
- 1:15:06Do what you on defense. You're going to make them pay a
- 1:15:08few times. Got a couple other hokey
- 1:15:11predictions here. Got the rock out here saying
- 1:15:143813. They take out their
- 1:15:17frustrations. We got oh, look at this RSD man
- 1:15:23Say it's close. Oh, we got a lot of them coming.
- 1:15:26Oh, look who is staying up late tonight.
- 1:15:28Jason. Jason staying up late.
- 1:15:32Hey, we, we, we, we about to play a special one for you.
- 1:15:34We are as well and Jason Schwartz out here.
- 1:15:39Hey. I got.
- 1:15:41A les VA baby. All righty.
- 1:15:44Well, believe it or not, we watch more than just a hokey
- 1:15:48games on the weekends. At least I do.
- 1:15:52As mad as I was Saturday, I watched a lot of football on a
- 1:15:56on on Friday I watched a lot of football actually I was pissed
- 1:16:00off on Saturday. On Friday into Saturday I
- 1:16:02literally had a four finger Scotch after the game.
- 1:16:06I can go to bed till 1:30 on Friday night and I had to be up
- 1:16:10early Saturday. It was not a fun day at all.
- 1:16:13But we do watch more than one game.
- 1:16:15We look at games every week. Here we have our big Screener
- 1:16:18segment where last week the only two people at 500 or better were
- 1:16:24myself, the music man, Jason Long.
- 1:16:27He we both went three and three, Brian two and four, Tally two
- 1:16:34and four, Miranda two and four, and Shelton two and four.
- 1:16:37As far as the season records go, Brian and Tally slightly ahead
- 1:16:44at a 53 point win clip. I am the 5050 man, Shelton.
- 1:16:49You get 40% man. You got, you got, you got to,
- 1:16:51you got to make some picks here, man.
- 1:16:53Pump those numbers up. I need some regression to the
- 1:16:56mean here. There you go, regression through
- 1:16:58the mean and here comes the money picks.
- 1:17:00Right? Here we go, big screeners.
- 1:17:02We start off as we always do, with Brian Siegler.
- 1:17:05Brian, where we going this week? Hey, we're going to UNLV baby
- 1:17:10Las Vegas. Hey.
- 1:17:14Baby Syracuse taking on UNLV, UNLV the favor by 6 here.
- 1:17:19I'm going to take Hughes. I've liked what they've done so
- 1:17:22far. I like their quarterback.
- 1:17:24I think they're going to make just enough plays with with the
- 1:17:28flux and everything that UNLV is dealing with.
- 1:17:31We'll see if they they miss a beat here at some point,
- 1:17:33especially once the competition ramps up a little bit like it is
- 1:17:36this week. So give me QS.
- 1:17:39Yeah, I'm with you. I think, you know, they beat
- 1:17:42Fresno State, usually a pretty good West Coast team.
- 1:17:45They they absolutely pummeled them.
- 1:17:47But I think last week was the mentality of look at all this
- 1:17:50shit that's happened. It's US against the world.
- 1:17:53Let's go out there and play. I think they crashed back to
- 1:17:56earth. I give me Syracuse, give me the
- 1:17:59points. I think Syracuse wins outright
- 1:18:00as well. Sally or Shelton Shelton,
- 1:18:05Shelton Shelton. Yes, it would help if I was
- 1:18:07actually paying attention. Yeah, I'm taking Syracuse too.
- 1:18:11Just for record. I'm I'm making these picks
- 1:18:14mainly best off vibes because I've struggled so much last two
- 1:18:16weeks. So just going with going with
- 1:18:19the vibes, giving the cues. Hey, Sheldon, I think, I think
- 1:18:23we're, we're, we're pretty much on the same pace here.
- 1:18:25So I, I, I had a rough week last week.
- 1:18:27I was like, you know what, how am I feeling?
- 1:18:29What am I feeling this week? Just just ride with the vibes.
- 1:18:33I think that's going to live us live to live to do me better
- 1:18:36this week. So we'll see.
- 1:18:39Yeah, I'm going to ride the vibes, too.
- 1:18:41I'm going to say cues as well. Kind of like Brian said, UNLV
- 1:18:46has a lot of stuff going on, so at some point I feel like
- 1:18:49they're going to stumble. I think it's going to be this
- 1:18:51week. All righty.
- 1:18:54And the two back there are wonderful.
- 1:18:57Rider Miranda and our music man Jason are saying roll with the
- 1:19:02running rebels, roll with Vegas. They liked what they saw last
- 1:19:05week after all that craziness, so.
- 1:19:08Hey, hey, listen, you'll put y'all pics in here.
- 1:19:10I'll definitely throw your name up.
- 1:19:12Chris, Chris saying he's going to take the points too.
- 1:19:14All right, all right, oh oh, here we go.
- 1:19:17This is why it's really picking. Hey, you know what shout out to
- 1:19:22SWVA man. I ordered some stuff from them
- 1:19:25I'm getting some stuff from them man, if y'all have not went to
- 1:19:27their website to take a look at their products man, they got
- 1:19:30some awesome shirts and hats. I'm waiting on a orange hat.
- 1:19:34It's the only reason I haven't got a hat, but the the white
- 1:19:37hats that they're putting out gas.
- 1:19:40I just sweat too much for a white hat.
- 1:19:42So I try to stay away from them because I can only have like one
- 1:19:45time. But now they're putting some
- 1:19:47some some really good stuff out and it's big man friendly.
- 1:19:50Like shoot, they got 3X4X shirts.
- 1:19:53Y'all need to go hop on their website right now and and take a
- 1:19:57look at their products because I just got me some coming my way.
- 1:20:01All righty there we go. So definitely look at SWVA.
- 1:20:05I am the next man up and let's go to Berkeley where you the you
- 1:20:11travels across country, y'all. This is a 10/30 East Coast kick.
- 1:20:1710:30 This is ACC after dark, which means I'm going to
- 1:20:22probably stay up till 2:00 in the morning.
- 1:20:24There you go. Miami versus Cal.
- 1:20:27Let's pull it up here. Cal getting 10 points, Miami
- 1:20:30laying 10 points. Brian, what are you doing before
- 1:20:33I get to make my pick on this one?
- 1:20:35Hey, you know what, We're going to have a good time.
- 1:20:38We're going to we're going to ride with OTT out there in in
- 1:20:42Berkeley and we're going to take Cal.
- 1:20:45Yeah, I'm, I'm, I am with you on this.
- 1:20:48Cal is getting game day for the first time.
- 1:20:51I think now there are only like 2 schools that have never gotten
- 1:20:54game day if I'm not right. I know we're one of them, no?
- 1:20:57One of them and I feel like there's one more, but I think
- 1:21:01Couch is too good of a team. Like if, if y'all know Justin
- 1:21:04Wilcox. Justin Wilcox is a good
- 1:21:06defensive minded head coach. We sort of laid a little bit of
- 1:21:10a game plan of how to kind of get a little funk in Miami.
- 1:21:13I think again, a 10/30 start time that is.
- 1:21:17Man, it couldn't happen to a better team.
- 1:21:22I'll say that. But the ACC can't do that
- 1:21:24bullshit. Like the latest start should be
- 1:21:26830 when teams go out West. We got lucky.
- 1:21:28Ours is at 3:30 in the afternoon.
- 1:21:30Body clock's going to be fine. But for them, I think it's I
- 1:21:34think they win, but I think 10 is just too much.
- 1:21:37Gimme Cal shell Moss. It's a battle of woke versus
- 1:21:42coke game day in town. The means will be crazy.
- 1:21:48I cannot wait for this match up. I will be conspicuously flying
- 1:21:52Twitter the the entire game, but I'm taking I'm taking Cal.
- 1:21:56I think they'll be kind of, you know, pumped up with Gambian
- 1:21:58town and a tough fight for Miami.
- 1:22:01So give me, give me. The Bears tally, yeah, man, I'm
- 1:22:06going to go Miami on this game, man.
- 1:22:08You know, Ward spent a little bit of time out there on the
- 1:22:12West Coast. You know, he was carving people
- 1:22:15up on a on a not as good team. So it's kind of going to be a
- 1:22:20where he was able to get on the big stage at the beginning.
- 1:22:22So I feel like it's going to be kind of a let me show out kind
- 1:22:26of game for him. So I'm going to take Miami in
- 1:22:28this one. All righty, Miranda rolls with
- 1:22:32us on Cal and Jason is riding with Tally.
- 1:22:38Tally. I'm sending something to you
- 1:22:39because if you ain't seen some of those things created by some
- 1:22:43of these Cal accounts with the quote versus coke.
- 1:22:46Oh yeah, I did Freaking hilarious.
- 1:22:49Hilarious. Hey man, the the.
- 1:22:51The Cal Twitter is. Awesome.
- 1:22:55You got to you got to give them their love because I mean, I
- 1:22:59mean, it's, it's probably like 10 or 12 accounts that like
- 1:23:02really is really good stuff out there.
- 1:23:04So. I'm I'm going to say something
- 1:23:06real quick here, Josh Young talk about not stopping tune.
- 1:23:09They aren't stopping, not financial.
- 1:23:11Tune is a top 10 running back right now in the country.
- 1:23:16So and I don't know, maybe maybe he's really good, but tune's
- 1:23:21tune's legit right now. All righty, all good too, huh?
- 1:23:27Odd is good too. Oh yeah, he's good.
- 1:23:29I don't know if he's Tooting good, but he's good.
- 1:23:31He's good Tooting. Good's tough.
- 1:23:34Sheldon, where you trying to make some money?
- 1:23:37We're going to Louisville, KY. I thought this would be a really
- 1:23:39good match up to pretty solid teams.
- 1:23:42Got SMU coming in hot, big win last week.
- 1:23:45I think though, they're going to be on a little bit of a hangover
- 1:23:47and I think Louisville's going to be motivated coming off a
- 1:23:50loss to Notre Dame. So I've got Louisville taking
- 1:23:52this one. All righty, did you lay the
- 1:23:55points? I'm riding right there with with
- 1:23:58Shelton on this one. I think Louisville is going to
- 1:24:00have a bounce back game in this one.
- 1:24:02I think SMU is going to come back to earth a little bit.
- 1:24:05I think this could be about a about a 10 point Cardinal win
- 1:24:08here. And I'm with y'all on that as
- 1:24:11well. Give me Louisville.
- 1:24:13The over unders interested in this one is at 56 where you like
- 1:24:18first quarter vibes. He's going to tell if it's going
- 1:24:22to hit the 56 and over because these two teams do have heavy
- 1:24:25offensive minded head coaches. So if you are at 2017 to 21
- 1:24:31points, take the second quarter, try to catch the over under,
- 1:24:35which at that point in time it'll probably be like 65, take
- 1:24:39it. If it's over 70, don't take it.
- 1:24:42If it's under 707065, take it. Sorry, Gambling Valley.
- 1:24:48Yeah, now I'm taking Louisville in this one as well.
- 1:24:52But besides this game, what is what is going on with Florida
- 1:24:56State? What's going on with Florida
- 1:24:59State, man? 3 letters. 3 letters.
- 1:25:05What the ACC? No, they suck balls.
- 1:25:08I mean what what is eju? That is their problem.
- 1:25:15Literally that is if they would just put in Brock Lynn.
- 1:25:18I think they would at worst be like 3 and two.
- 1:25:20Right now they look pitiful. I mean, it's looking like Jordan
- 1:25:27Travis covered up a whole lot of holes in that offense,
- 1:25:30especially with that offensive line.
- 1:25:33So I mean, it's really, I think that and what they lost on
- 1:25:37defense has been a really bad combo for them.
- 1:25:40Yeah, you know what's funny? Florida State analytically has
- 1:25:43the best special teams in the country.
- 1:25:47That's how. But that's how that's how bad
- 1:25:49their offense is that their their special team is so good,
- 1:25:51evens a solid and they're 14 like.
- 1:25:55That's crazy. Miranda goes Louisville, Jason
- 1:25:58goes. We are all laying 7 points
- 1:26:00riding with Louisville. Hey, that's, that's the first
- 1:26:02one everybody's riding with, with one team across the board
- 1:26:05there, so. That's the first one tonight.
- 1:26:08That is the first one tonight. You don't want to know.
- 1:26:11The White VIX says that right there.
- 1:26:14Yeah. They had to kind of do it.
- 1:26:17Coral can be very volatile. Yeah and just real quick before
- 1:26:21we click the tallies pick, just so y'all know Jason has been
- 1:26:25wanting to pick FSU all year so we can play that song.
- 1:26:31Yeah, but you ain't getting to play it this year, buddy it.
- 1:26:35Might be a long. It might be a long while.
- 1:26:37Tally, where are you taking us for Saturday with some gambling,
- 1:26:41man. I think we're going and checking
- 1:26:43out A&M and Mizzou. Think it's going to be a pretty
- 1:26:49competitive game. I would say, though, I mean,
- 1:26:54I've watched both teams play in this state.
- 1:26:55They both got two good teams, but I think Mizzou is going to
- 1:26:58take this game out right. Yeah, I'm riding with Mizzou as
- 1:27:03well there Tally. I, I, you know, A&M has been
- 1:27:08kind of a conundrum. I think Mizzou has got a little
- 1:27:13bit of a wake up call with a couple games here.
- 1:27:15I think they would come out focused and I think A&M just not
- 1:27:17going to have enough at the end. All right, I, I am fading y'all
- 1:27:22to right there because I do believe that Texas A&M was going
- 1:27:28to win this game. I've seen as you play a couple
- 1:27:31Times Now, they they, I'm not saying they they're not a good
- 1:27:34team, but go to the Boston College game.
- 1:27:38That was a game go to the Vanderbilt.
- 1:27:41They should have lost to Vanderbilt.
- 1:27:42There is not even a question. They should have lost to
- 1:27:44Vanderbilt. And I think going down to Kyle
- 1:27:47Field, I think it's going to be loud.
- 1:27:49I think A&M is kind of finding their groove.
- 1:27:51Elko we know is a good coach. I'll lay two points.
- 1:27:55I'll take the home team. I think it's I think this could
- 1:27:58be like a fun game this weekend to watch.
- 1:28:00I don't know what time it is on. I'll look it up.
- 1:28:03Hopefully not 3:30 because I don't get to really enjoy it,
- 1:28:05but I think it could be a super entertaining game on Saturday.
- 1:28:09Sheldon. I took Missouri, although in
- 1:28:12hindsight I feel like they're kind of due for a loss, so maybe
- 1:28:14I shouldn't have done that. But you know what?
- 1:28:15We'll stick with it. Vibes.
- 1:28:17Vibes Valley, Missouri Miranda, Missouri.
- 1:28:22The Music Man is riding with me tonight.
- 1:28:26All right. Our wonderful contributing
- 1:28:28writer Miranda is taking us down to Columbia where Ole Miss comes
- 1:28:36in after a loss, which was a physical football loss to
- 1:28:40Kentucky last week. Kentucky can slow down some
- 1:28:43offenses, y'all. They made Georgia, Kentucky.
- 1:28:45That's that's all the team, man. Yeah, but they gave up thirty to
- 1:28:49South Carolina. Make that make sense.
- 1:28:51Ole Miss going there laying 9 1/2.
- 1:28:55Brian, where you taking on this one?
- 1:28:57I'm riding with Ole Miss on this one.
- 1:28:59I'm still not a believer in what's going on down there in
- 1:29:03Columbia. I don't think that this South
- 1:29:07Carolina team is going to be able to match what's going to be
- 1:29:10a pissed off Ole Miss team after the way that game went down.
- 1:29:14And that's exactly why I am on board with you to lay 9 1/2.
- 1:29:19It's the Lane Kiffin get slowed down the next game he going to
- 1:29:22put at least 45 up and I do not think South Carolina has that
- 1:29:26offense to stay within 10 points.
- 1:29:29Sheldon. Well, you guys know me at this
- 1:29:32point, one of my biggest philosophies I like taking teams
- 1:29:34are coming in pissed off. And you know Ole Miss is pissed
- 1:29:37off after what happened last week.
- 1:29:38So I'm taking the Rebels big time.
- 1:29:43Yeah, I mean I mean y'all have already said it.
- 1:29:45You're going to have a pissed off old piss.
- 1:29:48So that's what I'm taking. Yeah, forget them.
- 1:29:52I don't like them either. There we go.
- 1:29:56Oh. My God is picking Ole Miss as
- 1:29:58well and Jason. Fade in the pod.
- 1:30:02Fade. Oh my goodness.
- 1:30:10All righty. Well, let's finally, we finally
- 1:30:12get here as we do it through one of the big screeners every week.
- 1:30:15And our wonderful music man, Jason Long, who has joined us so
- 1:30:20lovingly in the chat tonight, is going up to Minnesota for the
- 1:30:24Trojans and the Gophers. Wait till you hear this.
- 1:30:46Welcome back to guitar licks and gambling picks.
- 1:30:48I'm Jason Long. Don't know if you notice I'm a
- 1:30:51little bit of a loose streak. I've lost two in a row and no
- 1:30:55favorites. So this week I'm.
- 1:30:57Taking a dog, the USC. They traveling back to the
- 1:31:03Midwest two weeks ago. I lost money when they went to
- 1:31:06Michigan. I don't plan on making the same
- 1:31:09mistake. Twice.
- 1:31:11This time they're going to Minnesota.
- 1:31:15Now the Golden Gophers. They've been a little bit up.
- 1:31:17And down this season. But they're getting 10 1/2
- 1:31:21points at home. That feels like a little bit too
- 1:31:23much for me, so I'm going Minnesota against.
- 1:31:26US. Nothing caution.
- 1:31:34Sorrow. Nothing caution.
- 1:31:48Hold on. One times it's happening.
- 1:31:54Hold on to see. Him out in the rain.
- 1:32:02Herbal rain. Purple rain in the rain.
- 1:32:36So let's get back on the winning track.
- 1:32:37Let's go Minnesota. Let's go Hokies.
- 1:32:39See you next week. There we go.
- 1:32:45Buddy, I feel like it's 2003 again.
- 1:32:48We are in his apartment drinking all sorts of concoctions.
- 1:32:51Hey, are are we going to get a cease and desist on this one?
- 1:32:54I don't know. We might.
- 1:32:55That'd be cool. So, so the the story goes is
- 1:32:58Jason did a cover. I think it's a little red
- 1:33:01Corvette, right? Little red Corvette.
- 1:33:03Another wonderful Prince song. And by the way, if you're
- 1:33:06wondering why he did Prince, for y'all who are uneducated, Prince
- 1:33:09is from Minneapolis, MN, the home of the Golden Gophers.
- 1:33:12There we go. But he did this on a little
- 1:33:15localized CDI. Don't know how many he sold.
- 1:33:19I had one, Brian had one. We all were his boys.
- 1:33:21We, we gave the money. We, we, he got a cease of desist
- 1:33:25letter from Prince's attorneys basically saying don't be that
- 1:33:29shit anymore. It is framed.
- 1:33:31I don't know where it is. I'm surprised he didn't bring it
- 1:33:33up, but that goes to the story. Never forget that, Never forget
- 1:33:40that. In this one, I mean, you know,
- 1:33:44Minnesota 10 1/2. I, I got to take them points,
- 1:33:49man. Let me get Minnesota here.
- 1:33:52I think it's going to be a, you know, 7-8 point win for the
- 1:33:56Trojans, but I think Minnesota's going to keep an interest in
- 1:33:58there at the end. I am with you on this.
- 1:34:01Give me Minnesota. Minnesota got screwed if y'all
- 1:34:04didn't see the end of that Michigan game.
- 1:34:06They recovered that punt. They recovered that onside kick.
- 1:34:09They were not all sides and they had the momentum going and 10
- 1:34:141/2 points, I know USC can be good, but 10 1/2 too much delay
- 1:34:20them coming back east. You know why y'all go ahead
- 1:34:24about it? I wonder what the weather's up
- 1:34:26there going to be on Saturday. So who you got next, Sheldon?
- 1:34:32Sheldon. What you got?
- 1:34:33Minnesota continuing with my pissed off last week, they did.
- 1:34:36They did get screwed against Michigan.
- 1:34:38They've lost two straight. I think they're going to bounce
- 1:34:39back, at least to the extent that they will cover.
- 1:34:44Tally, What do you say, man? All right, give me USC, man.
- 1:34:48I'm going to take USC in this one just because I knew y'all
- 1:34:53was picking Minnesota and I want to be difficult.
- 1:34:58It's kind of. I got to score some points
- 1:35:00somewhere. Yeah, it's kind of like a fourth
- 1:35:02and three man. I mean, I'm the little brother.
- 1:35:04I'm on, I'm on. I ain't going to line up and
- 1:35:06run. I'm on do a fake field goal.
- 1:35:08So USCUSCUSC random. And obviously, our music man
- 1:35:16Jason Long, is also riding. With the Gophers.
- 1:35:20Now before I go into this I am wondering how USC is going to
- 1:35:23handle the weather. They are playing this game at
- 1:35:27night and it's going to be like 4850° with a little 15 mile an
- 1:35:31hour breeze. Southern California boys in the
- 1:35:34Midwest on a October night. It could be interesting.
- 1:35:40I mean, that's it would be like they don't, they don't see 50 in
- 1:35:42December out there. So there you go, There you go.
- 1:35:47There's all. The rundown Who did good?
- 1:35:50Who did bad? Who you riding with on this
- 1:35:52weekend? I like, I like my picks.
- 1:35:56You know, Missouri's the only one that I'm really kind of, I
- 1:35:59could have went either way. On everything else I feel pretty
- 1:36:02good about. The only one I like question is
- 1:36:07I'm tempted. I was tempted to go Miami with
- 1:36:10the pissed off mindset of they barely escaped, let's go prove a
- 1:36:15point. That's the only one I'm kind of
- 1:36:18question. The other ones I feel good
- 1:36:19about. All right, gentlemen, anything
- 1:36:23else popping up to the last hour?
- 1:36:26And hey, look at that, an hour and 30 minutes.
- 1:36:28We ain't done that in a. Few weeks.
- 1:36:31Hey, you know what? We, we, we got it tight, now we
