- 0:42
All right, welcome back. Thank you for those that have
- 0:43
been listening and for those that are new, welcome and that
- 0:47
before we start, we always pray. So let us pray.
- 0:51
Lord, thank you for everything. Just the freedom that we have
- 0:57
here guide us and lead us into the absolute truth.
- 1:02
For there's no one greater than you.
- 1:05
Amen. Amen.
- 1:08
Amen. Yeah.
- 1:09
You know that song? We grew up hearing it.
- 1:12
It's like. Which one?
- 1:14
Like this is gonna be in Spanish but to translate it it the name
- 1:21
of the song is Yagin la re compenza.
- 1:24
Yeah. Yeah, and then in English it's
- 1:27
sometimes like he's singing. He's like, sometimes I feel
- 1:29
weak. It's messing to devil Avez is no
- 1:33
quiero Escalade. Like I don't want to keep going.
- 1:36
And then he goes on. I lift up my hands.
- 1:40
It's lanto me manos El cielo E con cristo.
- 1:46
I forgot. I forgot how the rest goes.
- 1:48
Basically. He's like, sometimes I feel
- 1:51
weak. I don't feel like going.
- 1:53
I just lift up my hands. Pretty much that's what he's
- 1:56
saying. Question is, should a Christian
- 2:00
feel weak? Should a Christian feel weak?
- 2:04
See scripture. But here's the thing.
- 2:09
When Paul speaks about weakness, what does he mean?
- 2:11
Like when he says when I'm weak, I am strong.
- 2:14
Meaning like what? Like in in in his desires of the
- 2:18
flesh. And he's able to overcome that
- 2:22
and deny that because of Christ. So it's in what we before it's
- 2:30
in Second Corinthians 12. 2nd Corinthians 12.
- 2:36
Yeah, now let's. It's titled here A Thorn in the
- 2:42
Flesh, but that's besides a point.
- 2:45
Yeah, some conclude that he was suffering with a much lust or
- 2:51
something. Some conclude he had a sickness
- 2:54
in his eye, he had stomach issues.
- 2:58
They conclude too many things. But for example, you and I, if
- 3:04
we have, we have. A man has a desire, right?
- 3:10
How can that be a thorn in the flesh?
- 3:11
That's something that because of the disobedience, Yeah, Adam and
- 3:15
Eve had, right. Our bodies then are acting
- 3:21
opposite to what they should have acted in the Garden of
- 3:25
Eden. Yeah.
- 3:25
Yeah. The side effect, right?
- 3:27
So you can't really call that a thorn in the flesh, not because
- 3:30
with or without God, you still have that desire.
- 3:32
Because right? If you decide to follow him or
- 3:34
not, you still have that desire. Because, yeah, because it says
- 3:37
that a messenger of Satan was sent well.
- 3:41
That's something different. But but what do you mean about
- 3:45
weakness? This is Messianto that for those
- 3:48
who don't know Spanish, it means sometimes I feel weak avesus
- 3:51
sometimes. Avesus noqueros calaria.
- 3:54
So my question to you is like, should a Christian feel weak or
- 3:58
is he exempt from feeling weak? Or are there moments of that he
- 4:02
feels weak and what? And if so, what does that mean?
- 4:06
Is it the Flash or is it his own spirit that's weak?
- 4:11
Right, I get what you're saying. I do.
- 4:13
I do. I do you know what I mean?
- 4:14
I. Do I do understand now when he
- 4:19
sings that song? Yeah, that song is is in
- 4:22
Spanish. Yeah, yeah, it's a good song
- 4:25
too. It's it's basically about like
- 4:27
sometimes I'm weak, but I lift my hands.
- 4:29
Yeah. And it says, yeah.
- 4:30
Vienna, La recompense. I mean, the recompense is coming
- 4:33
soon. Yeah.
- 4:33
Yeah. But we know as Christians,
- 4:36
Christ, Christ is coming. If that meets us, we go to him
- 4:39
either way, right? Yeah.
- 4:41
So meaning like in the aspect of like of like man, this is
- 4:44
getting heavy. But what does that mean?
- 4:47
Because our modern time, like the modern time that we live in,
- 4:51
are completely different times than even 500 years ago.
- 4:55
Completely different. You can say that they had a hard
- 4:59
life. Their life was a little bit
- 5:00
more. It's a little harder.
- 5:02
I mean, didn't have technology to facilitate.
- 5:05
Wow. Facilitate things, right.
- 5:07
Wow. That was great for we have
- 5:11
transportation in different forms.
- 5:13
Yeah. Train car.
- 5:15
Yeah. Flying.
- 5:18
We have Internet now, so we are connected all together, right?
- 5:21
Social media, you can be known and not known.
- 5:29
Technology helps us with work. Yeah, education.
- 5:33
Right. So if you really think about it,
- 5:35
what's so tough about our times? If you really think about.
- 5:39
It tough I guess I mean. In in in that regard right now.
- 5:45
Could it be that we are so comfortable?
- 5:48
No. No, no.
- 5:50
Like the fact that I mentioned the technology now in our time,
- 5:53
you would you would think that'd make things easier.
- 5:56
Right you. Should feel at ease, right?
- 5:58
You should feel, yeah. Right.
- 5:59
Yeah, OK. But that doesn't seem the case,
- 6:02
does it? No.
- 6:03
We're talking in general it seems like believers and non
- 6:05
believers. Yeah, because it seems like it's
- 6:07
getting worse, if anything. Yeah.
- 6:09
No, non believers and believers. A non believer and a believer
- 6:12
still struggle with lust or have this desire a man or a woman,
- 6:17
right? If it's not just that, then you
- 6:21
know you are attracted to your same sex.
- 6:23
If it's not that, then you know you think you are of your
- 6:27
opposite sex and so on and so many different things.
- 6:30
Right, right. But then you also have to
- 6:33
question, well, what we have the technology, shouldn't it make
- 6:37
our lives a lot easier? It sure, Yeah.
- 6:40
No. Yeah, you would think so, yeah.
- 6:42
You would think so, yeah. Based on how things were back, I
- 6:45
would even say 304 hundred years ago.
- 6:47
Was that that far? I mean, right, right.
- 6:49
In retrospect, in the universe, this was just couple
- 6:54
microseconds. Yeah.
- 6:56
To us, it was just a 403 hundred years ago.
- 6:58
Yeah, 403 hundred years ago. So you would think it would make
- 7:02
things easier in a lot of ways. But we, you know, I'm speaking
- 7:07
in general, believers and unbelievers, we suffer.
- 7:10
There's still sickness, even though technology advances,
- 7:17
things start to become a little bit more dull and you become
- 7:20
numb to them because some people either will be like, well, this
- 7:26
is how the world is and that's how they deal with it.
- 7:30
And others, they want to deal with it.
- 7:32
And then they feel the anxiety and all these things.
- 7:34
Right, right. I don't know if scripture says
- 7:40
this, but I remember reading a book a while ago that when
- 7:43
mankind like acquires more knowledge every time it just it
- 7:46
just brings more sorrow. Oh yeah, Solomon said that.
- 7:49
Yeah, okay, He said okay, Yeah, yeah.
- 7:51
More knowledge comes more sorrow.
- 7:53
Yeah. And that's that's literally,
- 7:56
that's literally what happening. The more we acquire knowledge.
- 7:59
And by knowledge that also implies technology advances.
- 8:01
That's more knowledge. Yeah.
- 8:02
Yeah. That brings sorrow.
- 8:04
Why? Because medicine advances.
- 8:06
And if medicine is going to advance, there also is people
- 8:10
around the world who are wicked that will cause a type of
- 8:13
medicine that will get you addicted.
- 8:15
So that's so sorrow technology can cause because you're always
- 8:20
on the computer, your posture is different.
- 8:23
You are doing an action that's not very natural to your body.
- 8:27
You're looking at the screen, right?
- 8:28
That emits a lot of lighting, messes up your eyes, vision just
- 8:35
just by physical. It brings sorrow, not mentioning
- 8:37
emotionally having access to information, having you can see
- 8:42
nudity at any given time. You can bully anyone through the
- 8:46
technology you you can become rich if you want at that, at A
- 8:52
at a rapid at a rapid rate, you can go.
- 8:57
You can go really fast. Yeah, you could grow a lot more.
- 9:01
So technology speeds things. It does, yeah.
- 9:04
So it just compounds and it compounds and it compounds,
- 9:07
Yeah. So our times are essentially
- 9:09
different. Yeah, very different. 1600 years
- 9:12
ago, they're just different. That being said, when a
- 9:18
Christian says I feel weak but what does that mean?
- 9:22
Right. Like what does he mean right?
- 9:24
Right, because the non believer also feels weak.
- 9:27
Some of them don't even care. Yeah.
- 9:29
Some of them enjoy the weakness. They don't even know that that's
- 9:32
a weakness. It's just I'm a man that could
- 9:33
do whatever I want. Yeah.
- 9:34
Yeah. But when you then acquire not
- 9:38
like what Luke says, you say you were going to read something in
- 9:40
Luke's. Like when you know something,
- 9:44
you now know something of greater responsibility that will
- 9:46
now be accounted to you. So when you learn more, and you
- 9:50
learn more not just in the world but with God, God also keeps
- 9:54
that into account. You know better.
- 9:56
Yeah. No, no, it does.
- 9:57
No, Luke does talk about that. Says much more is given to you,
- 10:00
much more is required. Yeah, that is in the.
- 10:01
Book of Luke yeah that's something to that deals with you
- 10:04
and God as you draw near close to him and he draws near close
- 10:07
to you in the world. That's the same thing.
- 10:09
Just the knowledge is just bring sorrow.
- 10:12
No, it does. So when I, when I ask you like,
- 10:14
OK, well, should a Christian not feel weakness or you're just
- 10:18
misinterpreting that and you're just exposing yourself too much
- 10:22
that you, you what Christ says if you have a right hand that
- 10:28
causes you to sin, chop it off or take your hand out.
- 10:32
Right, right. So basically Christ is saying
- 10:37
like, there's what? There's no excuse.
- 10:39
Like if you know this causes you to sin, what should you do?
- 10:44
If you proof screen time is because, you know, you want to
- 10:47
cut that out. If you get a flip phone and it
- 10:51
doesn't always have to deal with pornography, it could deal with
- 10:53
something else. You're just scrolling all the
- 10:54
time or you're on the phone all the time and the flip phone
- 10:58
minimizes that. This is an example, right?
- 11:03
It's just there's so many things now in our time that when you
- 11:06
say go, well, no, I'm not saying you're not supposed to feel
- 11:11
weakness. You're going to feel weak.
- 11:12
Yeah, yeah. I mean, you're, you're, you're
- 11:15
still in this E mortal body that that it's receiving signals from
- 11:22
your brain, right, right. For your spirit of your soul.
- 11:24
Yeah. And the question is if you feel
- 11:27
weak those times of weakness. Now I don't want to compare it
- 11:32
to the one that Paul talks about here.
- 11:33
This is. No, that's different.
- 11:35
That's different. But there's there, it is
- 11:37
different in the aspect of why this was happening to him versus
- 11:40
what happens to a regular believer.
- 11:44
Mm Hmm. But there is insight.
- 11:48
There's a there's a certain area of this story that you can grasp
- 11:53
of a little information in regards to when you feel weak,
- 11:58
right? Question it.
- 12:00
So what I'm trying to say the question is, is when you feel
- 12:02
weak, like are you walking side by side by the spirit by side?
- 12:07
Are you walking by the Spirit and by the Spirit meaning the
- 12:09
Holy Spirit? Yeah.
- 12:10
Yeah, exactly. Or or you're not like when you
- 12:14
feel weak? Like sometimes I feel weak.
- 12:16
Is it because you're distracted or you that I'm not implying
- 12:20
that you're never going to feel weak because you are.
- 12:22
I mean, you we're we're so vulnerable.
- 12:25
Right. Right.
- 12:25
Go stand in front of a car, you get killed.
- 12:28
Yeah. So we're already vulnerable.
- 12:32
Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:33
You know, we can be broken easily.
- 12:35
But when he says sometimes I feel weak, is it because you
- 12:37
don't want to continue with cut? Is that the weakness you're
- 12:39
talking about? Because in the song it says
- 12:41
yeah, the recompense is coming. Yeah.
- 12:44
Meaning. Meaning is and so in the song,
- 12:46
the premise of the song is that holding onto the fate.
- 12:49
Yeah, that's the premise of the song.
- 12:51
Holding onto the fate. So what does that mean in
- 12:54
weakness, then? If, if, if, if it means like,
- 12:56
for example, what if we're persecuting?
- 12:57
We're caught. And, you know, they're telling
- 13:00
us to choose between 1:00. That's a moment of weakness,
- 13:02
too. It is.
- 13:03
Yeah. And we have to, like, give each
- 13:05
other like, oh, man, I feel weak in this moment.
- 13:08
But the recompense is coming, right?
- 13:11
So when when a believer says I feel weak, what does that mean?
- 13:15
Is it that you don't want to continue in the faith?
- 13:17
You're having a hard time with the faith?
- 13:19
Or is it just you being weak and you think you are being, if you
- 13:23
will, but unloyal or a sense of guilt or or you just feel like
- 13:31
oh man, right, Like. But do you think those variables
- 13:35
are are bad or? No, I think though.
- 13:39
I think, I think I, I don't. I don't want to say anything.
- 13:44
I'll tell you right now. There has never been a moment,
- 13:51
all right, Like, you know, that experience in the plane I told
- 13:54
you that I've never experienced before because I've gone, I've
- 13:59
flown before. But that time where that wasn't
- 14:03
normal. And I don't want to talk about
- 14:05
it too long because just we just.
- 14:07
But at that moment I didn't, I didn't talking God or anything
- 14:12
like that. Yeah, no, it just, it was, it
- 14:15
reminded me of how in how how we think we're invincible and we're
- 14:21
not. We're just.
- 14:22
We're just not. Right, right.
- 14:24
And at that moment, it's not that all that was happening
- 14:27
because I needed a God to, like, make something happen.
- 14:28
No, no, it's just, it's just it reminded me that I'm human,
- 14:32
yeah. That I'm vulnerable, right?
- 14:34
That I could die, right? So to me, that was a moment of
- 14:38
humiliation, right? Yeah, yeah.
- 14:41
But see, in order for me to have experienced humiliation, I had
- 14:44
to also feel weak at that moment.
- 14:46
But not weak because I didn't trust in God, not because I
- 14:49
didn't have faith in him. Weak because like, I recognize
- 14:52
that I'm not invincible. Yeah, Yeah.
- 14:54
No, that's true. That's true.
- 14:57
Right. So if you could apply that in
- 14:58
everything and now you're asking like, well, in what variables
- 15:02
does that mean? To be weak.
- 15:04
Yeah. I mean, what about in, in the
- 15:06
aspect of like, for example, someone that does not, they
- 15:11
don't doubt God. They don't doubt God, Right.
- 15:15
But things of life start coming their way.
- 15:19
The flesh is involved in everything.
- 15:22
Moments like that where they're just like, wow, this is heavy.
- 15:25
Yeah. You know, like moments like
- 15:27
that. But they don't doubt God.
- 15:29
I do you think like maybe like a like for example, when I hear
- 15:32
that song, it reminds me of that like for example, moments in
- 15:36
which like I'm following God, why I still am following God,
- 15:40
but I don't doubt him. No, no way.
- 15:42
He, you know, but like moments where I give like I let go of
- 15:46
things because I do want to get closer to God.
- 15:49
And then, you know, the weight is there.
- 15:52
But thanks to Christ, Christ that strengthens me.
- 15:54
I'm. Can you, I'm sorry, can you
- 15:56
explain that a little better? I'm just trying to.
- 15:59
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm trying to understand.
- 16:01
So I'm being, I'm being Jane, No.
- 16:02
No, no, no, no, I got you. I got you.
- 16:04
So I'll give you an example. Like for example, I've had to
- 16:07
let go of a lot of opportunities in which I know a lot of young
- 16:11
20 year olds would wish they had.
- 16:13
OK, I let, I let them go not because I want points.
- 16:17
No, it's, it's just because like I, I know that's going to stray
- 16:20
me away from God. And even though the
- 16:22
opportunities sound great and I'm walking by faith now, I do
- 16:27
not know the outcome of anything.
- 16:28
I do not know the outcome of letting, letting that go or
- 16:31
pursuing that. I do not know.
- 16:33
I'm just letting it go because I know that I have a clear like
- 16:37
vision that that's going to affect my spiritual life.
- 16:40
So I let it go. So it feels heavy, and it feels
- 16:44
heavy because I still am of this flesh.
- 16:47
So that you say would say like a moment like that makes you feel
- 16:49
weak. Makes you feel weak, yeah.
- 16:51
Because you're like, damn, I have to let go.
- 16:53
Yeah, and but you're like, but I love you God more than in my
- 16:57
life and this world. So I'm going to let go.
- 17:00
Even though I'm still of this flesh, I still like, you know,
- 17:04
like, you know what I mean? Like I still live in this flesh.
- 17:06
Yeah, because weakness doesn't necessarily mean lust or
- 17:09
anything. The weakness can also mean you
- 17:13
don't know. Like when you're walking with
- 17:17
God, right? You don't really know how weak
- 17:20
you are in front of God until he confronts you with that.
- 17:22
Yes. It could be anything.
- 17:26
I Yeah. When he confronts you with
- 17:28
whatever's in your heart, then you recognize how weak you truly
- 17:32
are. Before the Lord we can.
- 17:33
And the aspect of like, are you a strong vessel or are you a
- 17:37
weak vessel? Yeah, I confront you with this.
- 17:40
Like, for example, you know, Oscar, there's this thing in
- 17:43
your heart and you have to let it go.
- 17:45
Like what? Yes.
- 17:48
Test of character, That test of character.
- 17:50
If I crack, then I was weak the whole time.
- 17:52
Yeah. But he's exposing that weakness.
- 17:54
Yeah. Because it is through him.
- 17:56
That. So This is why there's a little
- 17:58
section that you can take up from what Paul says.
- 18:00
Maybe it won't be the same exact reason.
- 18:02
Yeah, yeah, yeah. To the thorn of the flesh he
- 18:04
has. No.
- 18:05
No, Yeah, yeah. But for perspective, you want me
- 18:08
to read it? Yeah, go for it.
- 18:09
Yeah. I'm just trying to find a good a
- 18:16
good place to to start. I guess I'll read from 12.
- 18:23
Boasting is necessary. I'm reading in the translation
- 18:28
ASP by the way. For those who don't know,
- 18:30
boasting is necessary, though it is not beneficial.
- 18:34
This is what he says there. Boasting is necessary, though it
- 18:38
is not beneficial. But I will go on to my vision.
- 18:41
Revelation of the Lord. I know a man in Christ who 14
- 18:45
years ago, Where then the body I do not know, or of the body I do
- 18:49
not know. God knows such a man was caught
- 18:52
up in the 3rd heaven. We can speak about who it was
- 18:57
and who it not another time. And I know how such a man,
- 19:01
whether in the body or apart from the body, I do not know.
- 19:03
God knows was caught up into paradise and heard inexpressible
- 19:09
words which a man is not permitted to speak right and
- 19:16
other translation says could not utter.
- 19:18
Yeah, yeah, yeah. In behalf of such a man I do not
- 19:22
boast. In behalf of such man I do not,
- 19:25
I will not. I will boast.
- 19:27
But in my own behalf I will not boast except regarding my
- 19:31
weakness. OK, so he's saying this man, he
- 19:35
will boast of that person because that's amazing.
- 19:38
Yeah, but he will not boast. He he will not boast of himself,
- 19:41
but in his weakness, he will boast.
- 19:44
Now, the reason why he says that is because if you boast in your
- 19:47
weakness, right, that then that that implies that you recognize,
- 19:52
so there's a humiliation going on.
- 19:54
You recognize that you are, you are not invincible, right?
- 19:59
You are vulnerable, right? Yeah, I don't want to say this
- 20:02
in a mean way, but like, you recognize that you're pathetic.
- 20:04
You're pathetic. Yeah, right, right.
- 20:06
So because of that, I boast in my weakness.
- 20:09
So that type of weakness is good.
- 20:11
Right, for I, I For if I do wish to boast, I will not be foolish,
- 20:16
for I will be speaking the truth.
- 20:18
But I But if I refrain from this, so that no one will credit
- 20:22
me with more than he sees me or hears me from because of the
- 20:27
extraordinary greatness of the revelations, for this reason to
- 20:32
keep me from exalting myself. Now why does he say from keep me
- 20:37
from exalting myself? That means he could exalt
- 20:41
himself. Yeah, he recognizes that.
- 20:44
He. That he can exalt himself,
- 20:45
that's a weakness, right? God has to expose that weakness.
- 20:50
There was given to me a thorn in the flesh.
- 20:52
Now this section won't pertain to you and me so far as before
- 20:56
that can pertain to us. A thorn was listen, this one
- 21:02
says so. Just a recap.
- 21:05
So there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of
- 21:08
Satan to torment me, to keep me from exalting myself.
- 21:12
Concerning this, I pleaded the Lord three times that it may be
- 21:15
that it might leave me. And he said to me, my grace is
- 21:19
sufficient for you. For power is perfected in my
- 21:24
weak in in weakness. Power is perfected in weakness.
- 21:29
Right. Most gladly, therefore, I rather
- 21:32
boast about my weakness, so that the power of Christ may dwell in
- 21:36
me. Therefore I delight in my
- 21:38
weakness, in result, in distresses, in persecution, in
- 21:42
difficulties. So he's describing weaknesses,
- 21:45
which is an insult. That's when you feel weak in
- 21:49
distress. You do feel weak there in
- 21:51
persecution. What did I just say?
- 21:52
If they caught us and we felt that weakness in difficulties,
- 21:56
what are difficulties? The world, the things that we go
- 21:58
through that makes us weak in behalf of this.
- 22:02
For I am weak, then I am strong and I have become foolish.
- 22:07
OK, so that's. So what are you saying that in
- 22:09
that weakness, right. For I am weak, then I am strong,
- 22:14
right? So when when that song says I've
- 22:17
ested Miss Antholevian, sometimes I feel weak in those
- 22:21
moments. It's when you're actually
- 22:22
strong. Right, because.
- 22:24
Because you're recognizing it, yeah.
- 22:25
Because then he says, I lift up my hands, he says.
- 22:28
Because the recompense is coming.
- 22:29
The recompense. Is coming.
- 22:30
Yeah, yeah. Yeah.
- 22:31
So, so like that's what I'm saying, like non believers also
- 22:34
feel the same type of weakness, same type of persecution,
- 22:38
whatever that may be difficulty. We are no different.
- 22:41
We're going through the same thing, right?
- 22:43
Right. But as a believer, there's just
- 22:45
certain things in life that shouldn't matter, right?
- 22:48
If we're following Christ, right?
- 22:50
Yeah. If we're not after air and wind,
- 22:54
right. But because we live in a world
- 22:56
that we're so exposed, the believer, you know, does have
- 23:00
different challenges that other believers probably €600 didn't
- 23:04
have. They had other challenges that
- 23:06
we don't. Have right, right, right.
- 23:09
You didn't have to starve in the Middle Ages.
- 23:11
No, no. No, you have to do that where
- 23:12
they have to kill kids and weird other things that would happen
- 23:15
in ancient times or. Yeah.
- 23:18
Six, 500 years ago, right, You didn't have to do that, eat
- 23:21
leather because there was nothing else to eat.
- 23:23
You didn't have those challenges.
- 23:25
Yeah. Our challenges now is we have
- 23:26
too much food to eat. And not only do we have too much
- 23:29
food to eat, the food is corrupted.
- 23:31
So now that affects our health. Yeah, but we're addicted to it.
- 23:34
Do you see there's other challenges that we're going
- 23:36
over? Yeah.
- 23:37
Yeah. I don't want to say this, but
- 23:40
like, we live in a culture where you constantly look at social
- 23:44
media, so you're constantly comparing yourself.
- 23:46
Yeah, yeah, exactly so. That's what I'm saying.
- 23:49
Like when you when a believer says I'm weak, what does that
- 23:51
mean? Right.
- 23:51
What type of weakness are you referring to?
- 23:53
What does that mean? Do you feel weak because you
- 23:55
hate what you're feeling? Or I feel weak and you're
- 23:58
recognizing that vulnerable part of you?
- 24:01
Yeah. And then you know that through
- 24:05
Christ. Through Christ, yeah.
- 24:06
Strong. Yeah.
- 24:07
And you're. You're you're going through with
- 24:09
it in the aspect of like of like, yes, Christ is my
- 24:12
strength. Not one thing would be like I'm
- 24:16
weak because you keep giving into sin.
- 24:18
Nah, at that point you're just. That's something different.
- 24:21
That's that's that's not referring to this.
- 24:23
Yeah, it's not referring to. That he's referring to
- 24:25
difficulties. Yeah, boasting.
- 24:27
Those are those are that's nothing to do like it is still
- 24:34
essentially. Yeah, obviously if you're self
- 24:35
exalting yourself, that will lead to sin because God will
- 24:40
will put down those who exalt themselves.
- 24:43
Yeah, exactly. But if you are feeling weak
- 24:46
because you you desire a woman, that's when you need to analyze
- 24:50
yourself. Well, I'm what am I doing that
- 24:52
I'm putting myself in that situation for me wanting to do
- 24:55
that. Yeah.
- 24:56
Yeah, because, you know, this desire that we have for our
- 25:00
opposite sex is not a trial. It's something that's in us that
- 25:03
we have to endure, unfortunately, right?
- 25:08
Do you think like being very jealous for God causes you to be
- 25:12
weak as well? Yeah, 'cause then you start to,
- 25:16
I mean, look at Paul, Paul, Saul before he, he was jealous for
- 25:20
God, essentially. He thought he was doing the
- 25:22
right thing. Yeah, and he was in his.
- 25:27
If you ever think about it, he was.
- 25:29
No, yeah, I mean, technically he was literally like, I'm doing
- 25:33
this for God. Right.
- 25:34
You know, but that led to him persecuting, hurting a lot of
- 25:39
believers badly. Extremely right.
- 25:44
Yeah. Yeah.
- 25:45
Jealousy, Kenley. It leads to, to, to, to.
- 25:48
It exposes your weakness before the Lord, not before man.
- 25:52
Remember this before? Yeah.
- 25:54
If you exalt yourself before man, like the Pharisees did in
- 25:58
Christ said, they will have the reward because it's true that
- 26:00
people will clap and applause. Yeah, yeah, right.
- 26:02
So like you boasting. That's why he says boasting is
- 26:04
necessary, but it is not beneficial.
- 26:06
But in what aspect? It is not beneficial
- 26:08
spiritually, but into the world. If you boast in the world, this
- 26:12
world that we live in, if you prove yourself what you bring to
- 26:15
the table, that could be as a career, as an employer, whatever
- 26:18
it is that puts you above. Yeah, yeah, it's true.
- 26:22
Exactly. Right before men, that makes you
- 26:25
like, impenetrable, like this invincible person.
- 26:27
Yeah, yeah. But before God, you're pathetic
- 26:29
and weak. Yeah.
- 26:30
And when? You come to Christ and those
- 26:32
things are exposed. You are weak.
- 26:34
Yeah, 100%. I mean, look what happened to
- 26:37
him also. I mean, it look like, for
- 26:40
example, Elijah, Elijah was like when he ran away into the woods,
- 26:45
he was like, oh, I've been very zealous for the Lord and I'm the
- 26:48
only prophet here. Yeah.
- 26:50
And then God was like, no, there there's 1000 more lined up and I
- 26:54
have not bowed down to bail bow. So yeah.
- 26:57
Exactly. Yeah.
- 26:58
So in your jealousy, in God, yeah, it can lead you to no.
- 27:03
It will lead you to weakness because you recognize that you
- 27:07
are nothing without God. So that was also interesting,
- 27:13
the fact that you said that, because then you mentioned the
- 27:15
word reputation, right? And then we live in a world
- 27:19
where reputation means everything.
- 27:21
In the career world, the world we live in now are everything
- 27:25
matters. Yeah.
- 27:28
Reputation matters, Your integrity, how you hold
- 27:30
yourself, all of these things. Yeah.
- 27:33
Who you are? Before everybody, yeah.
- 27:35
And sometimes we compromise ourselves when it comes to God.
- 27:38
Which reputation will we hold? That of a child of God who lets
- 27:42
the light shine? And your deeds are recognized by
- 27:45
people without you saying that glorifies God.
- 27:47
Yeah. Or will you be the one who you
- 27:51
you're concerned with your reputation, your image, not
- 27:53
God's image? Constantly trying to prove
- 27:56
yourself all the time. So we, we, we live in that world
- 28:00
too. So when you mentioned that, that
- 28:01
was interestingly that right now towards the end, I was like, oh,
- 28:04
OK, well, I see why he would have mentioned that because we
- 28:10
live in a world where reputation matters.
- 28:11
I mean, I wouldn't say I care much about it, but if someone
- 28:17
says oh, you, you this and that, I'm like, Oh, yeah, sure to say
- 28:22
that. If I didn't say, oh, nothing I
- 28:23
feel about it or get a dopamine effect of it.
- 28:26
No, 'cause like I, I know myself, like I, you know, I
- 28:29
mean, I have some narcissistic like tendencies.
- 28:34
I'm not a narcissist full. Blown bro.
- 28:36
I do have some tendencies and and I I get what that means when
- 28:40
you when you're concerned about reputation and when it means
- 28:44
when sometimes I'm weak. You don't like being you.
- 28:48
No one likes being weak, especially as a believer.
- 28:51
When you're exposed to the things that you're still
- 28:53
tethered by the world. It bothers you.
- 28:56
Yeah. But then it like, you know, Paul
- 29:00
says, you know, these weaknesses that happen.
- 29:03
His was different, right, Mind you.
- 29:05
Yeah. His was different.
- 29:06
Something was sent to him. Yeah.
- 29:09
You know, by Satan to to to Yeah, when we can have a
- 29:13
conversation about that what we're what really could have
- 29:15
been, but we can take about some of the aspects of that what it
- 29:19
means when you're weak. So when you ask, sometimes I'm
- 29:23
weak. What does that mean?
- 29:25
Is it because of the faith you can't endure it anymore in
- 29:29
regards to what it means when you're in the world, being a
- 29:32
believer and then living in this world, we're not of this world,
- 29:35
but we live in it. What does that mean?
- 29:36
That's a weakness, or you're just weak because you you don't
- 29:42
abide under Christ. Yeah, yeah.
- 29:44
Those things. Yeah, exactly.
- 29:46
And you know what, it kind of it all has a lot to do with
- 29:49
reputation. I think so.
- 29:52
Because if you're so fixed on your own reputation, then of
- 29:55
course you're going to, you're going to want to feel like
- 29:57
giving up because you know why? And Scripture says the first
- 30:00
will be last and the last will be first.
- 30:02
And if you're a servant of, of Christ, you, you have to pay
- 30:07
yourself last. Yeah.
- 30:09
It's like he, you know, when the apostles asked Christ increase
- 30:12
our faith and then Christ says, which one of you work in the
- 30:15
field comes and then does the Master serve you or do you serve
- 30:19
the Master well in that same way, feed your Master in
- 30:22
whatever's leftover you will eat.
- 30:24
In that way your faith increases.
- 30:25
Yes, your faith increases. Then in the end you'll say I'm
- 30:27
an unworthy servant. Yes, exactly.
- 30:29
You are an unworthy servant even though you did all that work.
- 30:33
I'm an unworthy servant still. So reputation if you are so
- 30:38
fixed on your reputation. That is true that it does
- 30:41
increase your faith. It does.
- 30:43
The more you put yourself last, of course it will increase your
- 30:46
faith because you recognize you are nothing and you need God and
- 30:51
you put others before you and you have literally bro, it's
- 30:56
just by default you're just going to trust God.
- 30:59
You're going to trust him because you're putting yourself
- 31:01
last. And to put yourself last it
- 31:04
takes faith. That's why I said, like when
- 31:08
I've had to let go of these things, it's not because I want
- 31:11
points in heaven. No, it's because like God, I I
- 31:13
want to serve you. And these things, I can see
- 31:19
clearly that they will take me away from serving you.
- 31:22
Right. So in that, in that way.
- 31:24
So I mean, so if you, if you're focused on your reputation, then
- 31:26
yeah, of course you're going to feel like, yeah, this is I can't
- 31:29
do this anymore. Yeah.
- 31:31
The more you deny you. We we live in a tricky world.
- 31:35
Yeah. I mean, in our times, it's just,
- 31:38
yeah, you know, it's tricky. It is tricky.
- 31:42
Not tricky. Not because it's, it's.
- 31:43
It's impossible to solve. No, it's just tricky because you
- 31:47
want it. Yeah, you want it.
- 31:49
It's there. It's the opportunity's there.
- 31:51
Everything is there. Everything is there.
- 31:54
There's no excuse. Yeah, that's when I.
- 31:57
The life expenses, just people say, well, life expectancy has
- 32:00
been increasing. I, I, I'll tell you right now, I
- 32:03
doubt it. You know, if mind you, my
- 32:08
belief, the way I think of things is based on what I fully
- 32:13
believe in Scripture and even in history, history backs it up
- 32:19
that there was a point where Adam and Eve could live forever
- 32:24
because they were sustained by the true of life.
- 32:26
The moment we had no access to that, life started to dwindle
- 32:29
less in our in our body. You know, that's why they could
- 32:33
last TO900800700. 400, Yeah, yeah.
- 32:37
Right, 200 a 120 to barely 90 and they just keep getting less
- 32:43
less, less, less so when they say, oh, the life expectancy has
- 32:46
actually gone up. No, no, there's a moment in time
- 32:49
that we were so bad that there's just no food and the the greed
- 32:54
of man would would make people last till 30 or 40 years of age
- 32:59
because of war. But that was just a a moment.
- 33:02
Yeah. But prior to that we were
- 33:04
lasting till 100, a 120. Yeah, close to 200, yeah.
- 33:09
Yeah. So what I'm saying is if that
- 33:12
logic flows, we're only going to our actually life expenses
- 33:16
actually going down rather than out.
- 33:17
Yeah, I I believe it's. Just going to get worse and
- 33:19
worse and worse. That just means that time is of
- 33:22
the essence for Chrysum for all this to happen.
- 33:25
Yeah, absolutely. All right.
- 33:28
That's what I said, yeah. Yeah, we know that Recompenser.
- 33:31
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I say it in English.
- 33:34
Recompense. Yeah.
- 33:35
Recompense. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 33:37
No, absolutely. And what is that?
- 33:39
Recompense? Everybody's salvation.
- 33:41
Access to the tree of life. Oh, yeah.
- 33:42
All that coming into the Kingdom of it being a part of this holy
- 33:46
nation. The work is not done.
- 33:47
As soon as all of this is done. Yeah.
- 33:49
Yeah. Keeps going.
- 33:50
Exactly keeps going. Right.
- 33:51
But in regards to this mortal body, isn't what Paul says
- 33:56
becoming this imperishable body? Yeah, immortal, having access to
- 33:59
the tree of life, that is our recompense.
- 34:01
Exactly. So let this body decay, but
- 34:04
remember, the inside of you is being renewed through Christ day
- 34:07
by day, day by day. So do not lose heart.
- 34:11
Yeah. All right, that's great.
- 34:13
That's a good one. All right, guys, we're going to
- 34:14
close it with the prayer and bear with us.
- 34:18
Certain things are about to come up.
- 34:21
We'll keep you notified. You want to see like a broken
- 34:24
record. But thank you for those who are
- 34:26
listening. We appreciate spreading the
- 34:28
word. Yeah.
- 34:29
Let others listen to to this message for whatever God wants
- 34:32
to do. Thank you, Father, for this
- 34:35
opportunity to speak about what it means to be weak.
- 34:38
When one says, you know, sometimes I feel weak, you are
- 34:42
our strength. Philippians 413 says that
- 34:44
through Christ I can do all things that strengthens me.
- 34:48
And that all means that in any situation, in any circumstance,
- 34:53
we've learned to be content with whatever.
- 34:55
And that is what gives us strength because you are
- 34:57
sustenance and give us a strength always to walk by your
- 35:01
spirit. For He is our counsellor here on
- 35:05
earth, reminding of of the things that you share with your
- 35:09
apostles disciples, and convicting us of sin,
- 35:12
righteousness and judgement. Also a fellow servant by your
- 35:16
side whom testifies before you and intercedes for us before
- 35:23
you, Lord. And we are thankful for that and
- 35:25
that our light shined so that our fruits are seen and that
- 35:30
glorifies you. And we are thankful that we know
- 35:33
what your will is, that everybody believes in that whom
- 35:35
you have sent believe in Him and to abide under him.
- 35:40
Thank you, Father, for this. Let your will be done here on
- 35:44
earth like it is done in heaven. And if we have sinned before
- 35:47
you, forgive us. Amen and Amen.
