- 1:51Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 140.
- 1:55Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister here along with Dana Roselli.
- 1:57Sean McAllister: Dana, 140 episodes.
- 1:59Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: It's a big deal.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: No, I can't believe it.
- 2:03Dayna Roselli: It feels like, I don't know, we've done 250.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: We're only at 140?
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: How is that possible?
- 2:11Sean McAllister: Only 140.
- 2:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 2:12Sean McAllister: Uh, you know, it's beginning to look a lot like fall and with Halloween-themed attractions popping up all over the Las Vegas Valley.
- 2:21Sean McAllister: Um, it makes me think of you, Dana, each time I see this stuff.
- 2:25Sean McAllister: And we're gonna get into all the details coming up in just a few minutes, but I just know how much you love pumpkin and all the fall scents and sights and holidays in general.
- 2:37Dayna Roselli: I don't know why I'm not a holiday person.
- 2:39Dayna Roselli: I like them, but I just I don't, it's I don't know.
- 2:43Dayna Roselli: I like summer.
- 2:44Sean McAllister: As we sat down before we started recording, Dana came in and sat down.
- 2:49Sean McAllister: She was like, ugh, the holidays are here.
- 2:52Dayna Roselli: It's just like it's one thing after the next, and uh it's a lot to keep up with, and I don't know, decorations, all that stuff.
- 3:03Sean McAllister: Hey, I'm good with summer all year.
- 3:04Dayna Roselli: I know, I know.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: Well, this time we actually right now would be perfect all year, right?
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: Like the high 80s.
- 3:11Dayna Roselli: So perfect.
- 3:11Sean McAllister: It's been absolutely gorgeous, and it was a gorgeous day at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the big South Point 400.
- 3:19Sean McAllister: We were invited out there to see the race.
- 3:22Dayna Roselli: We were, and what a day, like you said.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: First of all, thanks to the general manager, Chris Powell, for saying, hey, you guys got to come to this NASCAR race.
- 3:29Dayna Roselli: And we were up in the owner's box, which was a lot of fun.
- 3:32Dayna Roselli: Great group of people up there.
- 3:34Dayna Roselli: And then we were able to go up a couple levels and like kind of stand on the roof with such an amazing view of the race.
- 3:42Dayna Roselli: We saw Lorraine Peril did the national anthem.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: We saw some show girls where there was ceremony before the race started, the green flag, there was a flyover from Nellis Air Force Base.
- 3:53Dayna Roselli: So it was great.
- 3:54Sean McAllister: It really was a perfect day for a NASCAR race.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: And if you listen back a couple episodes to episode 138, when we were talking with Chris Powell about the race, uh, he was talking about how like your body actually rumbles from having so many cars with their engines revving each time they go by.
- 4:15Sean McAllister: And it really did.
- 4:16Sean McAllister: We experienced the rumble, Dana.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: We definitely did.
- 4:21Dayna Roselli: That was crazy.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: You were even plugging your ears at one point.
- 4:24Sean McAllister: I was, I had to.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's loud.
- 4:27Dayna Roselli: And what you experience the rumble when they fly by, but also like as soon as they fly by, you think like, oh, it'll be a little while before they're gonna come back around.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: No, and then they're like back around in like 60 seconds, and they go so fast that they go around the track, and uh it's unreal to watch this.
- 4:46Dayna Roselli: It's so much fun.
- 4:47Dayna Roselli: I know it I feel like for people who haven't been to a NASCAR race, you can't understand or get it, but seeing it in person, it's so much fun.
- 4:56Sean McAllister: And there was some action that kind of happened off the racetrack as uh the result of uh a crash that happened on the track.
- 5:05Sean McAllister: Two drivers kind of got into it and it was right in front of us.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: It was, it was Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson.
- 5:12Dayna Roselli: So it was Bubba that walked right toward Kyle.
- 5:15Dayna Roselli: I think everyone sitting there thought there was gonna be like a little bit of a yelling match, right?
- 5:19Dayna Roselli: Right, but then Bubba like starts shoving him, yeah.
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: And it's like, what?
- 5:23Dayna Roselli: And it's interesting because we posted the video on our Twitter and a couple of people responded and saying, like, you know, Kyle really kept his cool.
- 5:31Dayna Roselli: I mean, kudos to him because Bubba just kept pushing him.
- 5:34Sean McAllister: He was, he was pushing those buttons, trying to get a rise out of him.
- 5:39Sean McAllister: Um, Bubba, under understandably upset because Kyle had said that he kind of he knew that he pushed Bubba into the wall a little bit, but then Bubba retaliated by kind of smashing his car into Kyle's car.
- 5:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I was just looking up some headlines about it right now just to see, hey, is there anything new?
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: And just six hours ago, there was a headline that said that Joey Logano, the winner of the NASCAR race, he said Bubba Wallace could have cost Kyle Lartson his life.
- 6:10Dayna Roselli: And there's a whole article on that, and he explains why.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: And so it's obviously still being talked about days later.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: It was a it was a big deal.
- 6:19Sean McAllister: Well, and even in the the suite where we were watching, it was a topic of conversation, and people, I mean, it was a kind of the consensus that on the track is not the time to retaliate.
- 6:33Sean McAllister: You don't retaliate by causing a crash because that puts um other drivers in danger, it puts yourself in danger if you're the one doing that, but then there's potential that something could happen to uh the pit crew or to spectators who are there to watch the race too.
- 6:52Sean McAllister: So it's just not a good situation to retaliate on the track, and we saw that play out right in front of us.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, this isn't the Oscars.
- 7:00Sean McAllister: No, it's not.
- 7:01Sean McAllister: By the way, that's not the time or place either, but whatever.
- 7:05Dayna Roselli: I'm referring to Will Smith and Chris Rock.
- 7:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it's like, come on, uh, why is everyone just like pushing everyone around lately?
- 7:12Dayna Roselli: This has been a rough year.
- 7:13Sean McAllister: Just go home, write a sternly worded letter, send it off in the mail.
- 7:19Sean McAllister: That's the best thing to do.
- 7:21Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh.
- 7:22Dayna Roselli: We had a blast.
- 7:23Dayna Roselli: It was great, so much fun.
- 7:25Dayna Roselli: If you get a chance, go to a NASCAR race, people there, you know, they go early, they walk around, there's the neon garage.
- 7:34Dayna Roselli: You get to see so much and really enjoy perfect weather in Las Vegas and an exciting, what was it, like three or four hours?
- 7:43Sean McAllister: Yeah, it was.
- 7:44Sean McAllister: It was really fun.
- 7:45Sean McAllister: So we have two big NASCAR races a year, uh, one in March and then another in the fall.
- 7:51Sean McAllister: So it's not too early to start planning for March.
- 7:53Dayna Roselli: No, that's true.
- 7:54Dayna Roselli: Hey, switching gears a bit, we got a bunch of really big comedians coming to town.
- 8:00Dayna Roselli: And one of them is Jerry Seinfeld.
- 8:02Dayna Roselli: He's back again.
- 8:03Dayna Roselli: He hasn't been back in Vegas since 2019, but he's coming back to the Coliseum at Caesars Palace for six shows in 2023, you know, doing his world-famous stand-up comedy.
- 8:16Dayna Roselli: I think we've talked about Jerry before.
- 8:17Dayna Roselli: He's definitely got a certain kind of sense of humor that you and I were talking about.
- 8:23Dayna Roselli: I think wasn't it you that we were saying, we don't laugh out loud laugh to Jerry Seinfeld, but he's witty, funny, and relatable.
- 8:33Sean McAllister: Yes.
- 8:34Sean McAllister: It's almost like a never-ending uh chuckle because his comedy is so observational and just talks about the everyday uh situations that you find yourself in, and you're like kind of laughing along, like, yep, I I get that.
- 8:54Sean McAllister: Right, right.
- 8:55Dayna Roselli: I know it's so true.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: And you know, it's always kind of been that way with uh Jerry, and I think people either love him or think he's okay, but no matter what, you know, the people who love him come out in droves because they get him, you know.
- 9:09Dayna Roselli: I feel like that's you know the thing with a lot of comedians.
- 9:11Dayna Roselli: You either relate and get him and you just think it's the funniest thing ever, or you're like, eh, it's not for me.
- 9:17Dayna Roselli: But Jerry has been successful for so many years, and I love that he's still doing shows.
- 9:23Dayna Roselli: He's gonna be here April 14th and 15th.
- 9:27Dayna Roselli: Then he'll be back Friday, June 9th and June 10th, and then July 28th and 29th.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: So some scattered weekends all through it looks like spring into summer.
- 9:37Sean McAllister: Yeah, but it'll be good to have Jerry back at the Coliseum.
- 9:41Sean McAllister: I know for a long time when his, I mean, he was a resident headliner there for years, my gosh.
- 9:47Sean McAllister: I remember driving by and seeing up on the side of the building Celine Dion, Jerry Seinfeld, and Elton John.
- 9:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, those are the big three faces across the front of Caesar's Palace.
- 9:58Sean McAllister: So it's a it's been a little bit since Jerry's been here, but we're glad that he's coming back.
- 10:02Sean McAllister: But that's not the end of the comedy announcements either.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: Adam Sandler apparently extending his sold-out tour with this two-night engagement at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas here on the strip, December 9th and December 10th.
- 10:18Dayna Roselli: First of all, I didn't even know Adam Sandler like does stand-up.
- 10:22Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 10:23Dayna Roselli: I had I don't know why I didn't know that.
- 10:25Dayna Roselli: But I'm like, oh, Adam Sandler, the actor.
- 10:28Dayna Roselli: You know what I mean?
- 10:29Dayna Roselli: But I'm like, I would love to see Adam Sandler.
- 10:32Sean McAllister: I know.
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: He is so funny in his demeanor, too.
- 10:36Sean McAllister: He's hilarious.
- 10:37Sean McAllister: I I've never seen him in a stand-up environment either.
- 10:42Sean McAllister: Um, but I feel like the cosmopolitan seems like that property is a good fit for Adam Sandler.
- 10:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it does.
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: It does.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you're right.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: Like maybe I don't know, does he even have like a special that's on TV?
- 10:55Dayna Roselli: I don't even know, but I've never seen a special or anything.
- 10:58Dayna Roselli: But I just watched him in that movie and I'm forgetting the name of it, but where he's the basketball recruiter for um Philadelphia, and it's a great movie.
- 11:09Dayna Roselli: He was just in that.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: But I mean, he's a funny guy when he's in comedies, so I can only imagine that his stand-up is really enjoyable too.
- 11:18Dayna Roselli: So if you get the chance, go see Adam Sandler.
- 11:21Dayna Roselli: He'll be here in Las Vegas at the Cosmopolitan December 9th and December 10th.
- 11:26Sean McAllister: And I didn't see any uh current okay stand-up specials, so it's not like he's got anything um out there right now.
- 11:35Dayna Roselli: There is some older stuff of uh of Sandler, but well that'll make it even better because you're not like familiar with all what you know, you don't know what to expect, which I I love going in, just being like completely surprised.
- 11:48SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: So Bill Maher's coming too.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: He'll be over at the Dave Copp uh David Copperfield Theater at MGM Grand, and that is February 17th and 18th, and then again June 16th and 17th.
- 12:00Dayna Roselli: So, you know, Bill Maher is a comedian, he's an actor, television host, and he's got dates coming in 2023.
- 12:07Dayna Roselli: Um, pretty honest guy and funny guy.
- 12:10Dayna Roselli: I what was that show?
- 12:12Dayna Roselli: Oh, politically incorrect?
- 12:14Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I've seen a live taping of that in LA before, and it was fun to see.
- 12:19Dayna Roselli: I don't know, some things I think you agree with lately.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: He's gotten a little bit like into the whole politics of things a little bit.
- 12:26Sean McAllister: I was gonna say politics will most certainly be a part of this show.
- 12:29Sean McAllister: Exactly.
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: A little bit more than usual lately.
- 12:31Dayna Roselli: But and he's got a lot of specials on.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: I think there's one on HBO Max, or maybe it's Apple TV, but anyway, um, people same thing.
- 12:37Dayna Roselli: You either love him or he's not your cup of tea.
- 12:39Dayna Roselli: And the people who love him will come out to see this show over at the MGM Grand.
- 12:43Sean McAllister: Yeah, they will.
- 12:44Sean McAllister: So a lot of comedy news coming out.
- 12:47Sean McAllister: It's it's unusual that we get such big comedy announcements all at the same time, but but love when when comedy comes through.
- 12:56Sean McAllister: Um, as I mentioned at the the top of the show, Dana, um, it is beginning to look a lot like fall.
- 13:02Sean McAllister: There are hay bales and pumpkin patches everywhere.
- 13:07Sean McAllister: And when we say pumpkin patches in Las Vegas, they turn uh like half of a giant lot, supermarket parking lot into a pumpkin patch.
- 13:18Sean McAllister: They ship in the pumpkins, throw some straw down on the ground.
- 13:21Sean McAllister: It's true.
- 13:22Sean McAllister: Call it a pumpkin patch.
- 13:23Dayna Roselli: I mean, I've been going to this new workout place over near Boca Park, it's kind of like uh just south of Summerlin Parkway.
- 13:29Dayna Roselli: I don't think it's cons I don't know if it's Summerlin or considered Summerlin, right on the border.
- 13:33Dayna Roselli: Anyway, there's a huge Halloween pumpkin thing and rides.
- 13:38Dayna Roselli: And anyway, it's always packed.
- 13:41Dayna Roselli: So people love it.
- 13:42Dayna Roselli: There's like twinkling lights and kids and parents and pumpkins and hay rides and all that kind of thing.
- 13:49Dayna Roselli: And it's definitely popular, you know, and we have perfect weather because it's it's not chilly, it's just perfect to go to these events.
- 13:56Sean McAllister: It is, it is.
- 13:57Sean McAllister: Although we do have an actual pumpkin patch in town up at Gilcrease Orchards.
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: We do, you're right.
- 14:02Dayna Roselli: A little bit of a drive, but not too far.
- 14:04Dayna Roselli: It was like 25-30 minutes from the strip.
- 14:06Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's very, very popular.
- 14:08Sean McAllister: They have fresh pressed cider and apple cider donuts that are always amazing.
- 14:15Dayna Roselli: It just doesn't feel right.
- 14:16Dayna Roselli: I think it's because I grew up, and you did too, in like an area that's like fall is like the leaves are changing, it's brisk.
- 14:23Dayna Roselli: So I just feel like maybe that's why I just can't get into it.
- 14:27Sean McAllister: Because it's not flannel season in Las Vegas.
- 14:29Dayna Roselli: No.
- 14:30Dayna Roselli: The other day it was 5 p.m.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: and I was driving and it was 89 degrees according to my car thermometer.
- 14:36Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, it's 5 p.m.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: and it's 89 still.
- 14:38Sean McAllister: Beautiful fall weather.
- 14:39Sean McAllister: It is.
- 14:40Sean McAllister: Love it.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: Hey, let's talk about some Halloween events, though, because there are like a couple things that we spotted where we're like, okay, these stick out.
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: Let's let people know about these things.
- 14:48Dayna Roselli: Um, our friend Garrett wrote us and wanted to let everyone know that there's a Palm's Pride Halloween event.
- 14:57Dayna Roselli: Ooh.
- 14:58Dayna Roselli: Yeah, costume party and contest on Halloween Eve.
- 15:02Dayna Roselli: So October 30th.
- 15:03Dayna Roselli: There's gonna be a$25 cover, cash, prizes.
- 15:06Dayna Roselli: It's from 7 p.m.
- 15:08Dayna Roselli: to 4 a.m.
- 15:09Sean McAllister: Oh, so bridging over into Halloween.
- 15:13Dayna Roselli: That's right.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: And it's gonna be uh there's free parking there, costumes encouraged, and ticket sales and table reservations available at palms.com.
- 15:21Dayna Roselli: But um, a couple of the queens are gonna be there.
- 15:24Dayna Roselli: Kenneth Blake, Coco Montrice, and Jesse Tyler.
- 15:30Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 15:30Dayna Roselli: You know all that?
- 15:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah.
- 15:32Dayna Roselli: So it'll be a fun Hollow Queen.
- 15:35Sean McAllister: Oh, that will be fun.
- 15:36Sean McAllister: I like that.
- 15:37Sean McAllister: Yeah, it sounds very entertaining.
- 15:39Sean McAllister: 4 a.m.
- 15:40Sean McAllister: That is a late night.
- 15:41Sean McAllister: It sure is.
- 15:42Sean McAllister: Early morning.
- 15:43Dayna Roselli: And then if you want to, you know, do something, I guess, a little more family-oriented, you could head over to downtown Summerlin.
- 15:53Dayna Roselli: They've got this new, uh, like brand new inaugural Vegas haunt, which is like a haunted maze that they're doing over there.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: That sounds fun.
- 16:01Dayna Roselli: And then they've got a Vegas Halloween town, and that's a Halloween-inspired open air market with 50 vendors offering fall favorites, seasonal beer tastings, tricks, lots of treats, and that's at the lawn at downtown Summerlin.
- 16:14Dayna Roselli: And it's all taking place October 25th to the 31st.
- 16:19Dayna Roselli: So whole weekend full of events, and it sounds fun.
- 16:22Sean McAllister: And I imagine if people are going out to take part in these Halloween events, especially a haunted maze, um, that you expect to see things that like get under your skin a little bit.
- 16:35Sean McAllister: In the maze, there are six different themed areas that you go through.
- 16:40Sean McAllister: Um, and one of them is a haunted circus, like a horror circus.
- 16:46Sean McAllister: So I have to imagine there are going to be some scary clowns.
- 16:49Sean McAllister: Oh, I think.
- 16:50Sean McAllister: And I know that people, some people have a real aversion to clowns to begin with, and then to make it a scary clown on top of that, then it's like, okay, tap out.
- 17:00Dayna Roselli: No, yeah, not my cup of tea.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: Anybody chasing me or anything is out of my things to do list.
- 17:08Sean McAllister: So that's just a warning for all the people who are fearful of clowns.
- 17:12Sean McAllister: They could be involved.
- 17:13Dayna Roselli: Oh, we have some incredible haunted houses all across the valley.
- 17:17Dayna Roselli: So um, you can just go on Google and put in some of the fright haunted houses we have here in Las Vegas.
- 17:24Dayna Roselli: There are tons of them.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Something happening over at Fremont Street experience.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: Now, this sounds interesting, Sean, because it's well, when I describe it, they got a whole bunch of stuff going on, first of all.
- 17:35Dayna Roselli: And it's all October 28th to the 31st.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, it's that six-block entertainment district with the you know, overhead uh you can walk walkable canopy.
- 17:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:45Dayna Roselli: So they're doing the return of the Rock of Horror Halloween celebration.
- 17:53Dayna Roselli: And this is on Fremont Street Experience, and there's gonna be flash mobs, free nightly entertainment, including themed theatrical musical performances by Alter Igor on the first street stage, as well as this exclusive production show called Wicked Dreams, and this is gonna be complete with cirque style, dazzling visuals, alluring dancers, and aerialists, and that's all taking place on the third street stage.
- 18:21Dayna Roselli: So it all sounds very fun.
- 18:23Sean McAllister: And let me tell you, uh, Fremont Street really has gotten into Halloween for years.
- 18:28Sean McAllister: I mean, I remember when there used to be kind of like a Halloween parade that would go down Fremont Street, and they had, you know, all the Halloween actors out doing their street performances and stuff.
- 18:41Sean McAllister: So I love how Fremont Street really gets into it and they're dedicated the whole weekend long.
- 18:47Dayna Roselli: I mean, I feel like it's like Halloween on Fremont Street all year round, but with the costumes and the people watching, but this kind of kicks it up a notch, doesn't it?
- 18:56Sean McAllister: It does, it really does.
- 18:58Sean McAllister: And it's fun to see when people visit Las Vegas what kind of costumes they wear out when they're here, because I have a feeling that they're a little uh more over the line than if they were back home.
- 19:12Dayna Roselli: True, very true.
- 19:13Dayna Roselli: Or and then we look at them and go, oh, you just blend right in.
- 19:16Sean McAllister: Exactly, exactly.
- 19:19Dayna Roselli: So those are a few of the Halloween events that we saw that caught our eye, but there were plenty, plenty of Halloween events happening all around Las Vegas.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: So come in, enjoy.
- 19:28Dayna Roselli: We have the best weather for Halloween.
- 19:30Sean McAllister: Uh, celebrity chef news, Gordon Ramsay is opening up um our new restaurant, his sixth Las Vegas restaurant.
- 19:39Sean McAllister: Uh, this one is inside Hera's Las Vegas.
- 19:43Sean McAllister: It's called Ramsey's Kitchen.
- 19:45Sean McAllister: And this is the menu is going to pull from a lot of the things that Gordon Ramsay is famous for.
- 19:54Sean McAllister: I'm sure there's gonna be steaks, I'm sure there's gonna be some fish and chips.
- 19:58Sean McAllister: The Wellington absolutely, the sticky toffee pudding is a staple.
- 20:04Sean McAllister: So everything that you know and love Gordon Ramsay for food-wise, you're going to find at Ramsey's Kitchen.
- 20:12Sean McAllister: Um, they're now uh taking reservations through the open table app.
- 20:17Sean McAllister: So um make sure that you get your seats.
- 20:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I like that it's going to Hara's that he's gonna have a presence there.
- 20:25Dayna Roselli: That's really cool.
- 20:26Dayna Roselli: I also noticed it has a seven-seat seafood counter, which is kind of different.
- 20:29Dayna Roselli: That's fun.
- 20:30Sean McAllister: It is, and that kind of pulls on the theme that we've seen at some other uh off strip casinos where they have a small oyster bar.
- 20:38Sean McAllister: Right.
- 20:39Sean McAllister: And I think they probably have about seven seats at those too, but it it creates a demand for those seats, which is really neat.
- 20:48Sean McAllister: I like to see that.
- 20:50Dayna Roselli: Um, and I love that uh Gordon just keeps opening stuff here.
- 20:53Dayna Roselli: I feel like we've really embraced Gordon's embraced Las Vegas and then and then we've embraced him.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you know, it's cool to have different places and sometimes you don't want to make a special, I don't want to say make a special trip, but if you're staying somewhere and you want to go to a Gordon Ramsay restaurant, now you have choices that's of something that's more like closer to you, you know?
- 21:13Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 21:13Dayna Roselli: You're over at Hera's, you can go there.
- 21:15Dayna Roselli: You're over at Caesars, you hit Hell's Kitchen and he's all over.
- 21:19Sean McAllister: He's he's a yeah, Caesars, he has the pub and grill at Paris, he has the steak restaurant.
- 21:24Sean McAllister: Yeah, at Planet Hollywood, he has uh Gordon Ramsay burger.
- 21:28Sean McAllister: So yeah, really the heart of the strip there, he's kind of got it covered.
- 21:33Dayna Roselli: Hey, we had a viewer, not viewer, I'm used to being on TV, a listener, write us and tell us.
- 21:41Dayna Roselli: Oh, first of all, say that they listen to the podcast.
- 21:43Dayna Roselli: They're from the UK.
- 21:44Dayna Roselli: It's uh David Easter.
- 21:47Dayna Roselli: Thank you, David, for writing into our ideas at vegas revealed.com.
- 21:51Dayna Roselli: We tell everyone, hey, write us, let us know what you think of the podcast.
- 21:55Dayna Roselli: And so we appreciate that.
- 21:56Dayna Roselli: Um, and we were chatting back and forth, and then he wrote recently and said, Hey, Hey, do you know there's a punk rock museum coming to Vegas?
- 22:02Dayna Roselli: And I was like, I heard something, but let me look it up.
- 22:04Dayna Roselli: And we'll mention it in the upcoming podcast.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: So yeah, we've got a punk rock museum coming on January 13th.
- 22:12Dayna Roselli: And it's really interesting.
- 22:14Dayna Roselli: It's going to be the world's first comprehensive punk museum.
- 22:18Dayna Roselli: And it's full of a collection of all different artifacts.
- 22:23Dayna Roselli: So I was reading a little bit about it, and it said it's going to house the world's most expansive, inclusive, and intimate display of artifacts, flyers, photos, clothing, instruments, handwritten lyrics, artwork, just about everything.
- 22:38Dayna Roselli: And it's all donated basically by people in bands who were part of the punk era.
- 22:44Dayna Roselli: So isn't that cool?
- 22:46Dayna Roselli: That's really cool.
- 22:47Dayna Roselli: I love it.
- 22:47Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 22:48Dayna Roselli: So it's opening January 13th and it's over on Western Avenue.
- 22:52Dayna Roselli: So near the strip, not far from the strip.
- 22:55Dayna Roselli: So we'll see.
- 22:56Dayna Roselli: I mean, a brand new attraction.
- 22:57Dayna Roselli: I had no idea I'd heard, but I never heard anything, you know, uh new happening.
- 23:02Dayna Roselli: But it you can buy pre-sale bundles now.
- 23:05Dayna Roselli: And the website is the punkrockmuseum.com if you're interested.
- 23:11Sean McAllister: And I know that uh there have been a lot of punk rock events that have been held here in Las Vegas too that are extremely popular.
- 23:20Sean McAllister: The punk rock bowling uh music festival that happens.
- 23:24Sean McAllister: I mean, that brings in a ton of people.
- 23:26Sean McAllister: And you know, you can tell from the crowd that it's a punk rock crowd.
- 23:30Sean McAllister: Um, so I feel like this is a great addition.
- 23:34Sean McAllister: Um not to say that, you know, fans of punk rock music and culture aren't in Vegas all the time, but especially for those specific events, I think it'll be a great addition to what's available for for the people who are here for that.
- 23:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, kind of make like a another spot for them to hit.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 23:55Dayna Roselli: And, you know, visitors just are always looking for new kinds of things in Las Vegas.
- 23:59Dayna Roselli: And I love that we're getting more and more museums too.
- 24:02Dayna Roselli: That's cool.
- 24:02Sean McAllister: It is.
- 24:03Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 24:04Dayna Roselli: Well, let's do some tips now.
- 24:05Dayna Roselli: How about that?
- 24:10Sean McAllister: All right, Dana, to kick off our tips.
- 24:12Sean McAllister: Uh, how would you feel about knowing you were going somewhere for a meal, but you don't know where, and you don't know what you're going to eat?
- 24:24Dayna Roselli: I don't like it.
- 24:25Sean McAllister: You don't like it?
- 24:26Dayna Roselli: No, I mean, I like to I like a plan, I like to know what to wear, what I'm eating, but it also sounds very fun.
- 24:32Dayna Roselli: So, what I mean is it's not ideal, but I like the fact that it sounds interesting and it's out of the ordinary.
- 24:39Sean McAllister: So, what we're talking about here is a mystery picnic.
- 24:43Sean McAllister: And uh, my husband and I recently did one of these.
- 24:47Sean McAllister: Uh, it was gifted to us out probably a a year, year and a half ago.
- 24:52Dayna Roselli: Is that what I saw stuck to the fridge?
- 24:53Sean McAllister: Yeah, like it's been on there with the magnet forever.
- 24:56Dayna Roselli: Both houses have like that you've lived in in the last year, both it was still on the fridge.
- 25:01Sean McAllister: Okay, so you've asked before, you were like, what does that mystery picnic mean that's on the fridge?
- 25:06Sean McAllister: Well, now I can tell you because we went and did it.
- 25:09Sean McAllister: So, first of all, if you go to Amazing Co, the word amazingco is the web address.
- 25:22Sean McAllister: Um, it is a mystery picnic here in Las Vegas, and there's different experiences to choose from.
- 25:28Sean McAllister: There's one in downtown Summerlin, there's one out in Boulder City.
- 25:32Sean McAllister: Um, and we chose the Boulder City mystery picnic.
- 25:37Sean McAllister: And what happens, I'm not gonna say anything about the restaurants that we went to or anything like that, because you know, I want it to be a part of the mystery, yeah.
- 25:45Sean McAllister: Um but it's kind of like have you ever done a road rally where you get clues that direct you to a certain spot and you have to answer a clue correctly and that guides you to your next spot?
- 25:57Sean McAllister: Scavenger hunting.
- 25:58Dayna Roselli: I think we scavenger, yeah.
- 25:59Dayna Roselli: I think I've done that in college and stuff like that.
- 26:01Sean McAllister: Yeah, so it's just like that.
- 26:03Sean McAllister: So you end up getting clues on your phone that direct you to certain restaurants.
- 26:10Sean McAllister: Uh, you have to uns do word scrambles, uh go to statues, monuments, and uh it tells you to pick out certain letters from the different rows and all that to come up with the answer to the place like that you're gonna go next.
- 26:28Sean McAllister: So anyway, we uh stopped at three or four different uh restaurants and picked up a different item at each restaurant, okay, and then uh uh we had to decode um our location where we were gonna go and actually have the picnic, and it was fun.
- 26:47Sean McAllister: Like when we set out into this knowing that it was going to be a mystery and that we had to figure things out, and it really was a lot of fun, and the end result, the food was delicious.
- 26:59Sean McAllister: We had way more than what the two of us could eat.
- 27:03Sean McAllister: We ended up having dinner too.
- 27:05Sean McAllister: Um, but it was just a great relaxing afternoon.
- 27:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, it does sound like a fun time trying to you know break down everything.
- 27:12Dayna Roselli: And and you said you picked up things like was there like wine and like and like a like appetizer and dinner?
- 27:19Dayna Roselli: Is that how it or lunch was it a lunch?
- 27:21Sean McAllister: It was uh this was a lunch.
- 27:22Dayna Roselli: Okay, so there were like different things uh to add on to that, right?
- 27:26Dayna Roselli: To kind of make a full menu?
- 27:27Sean McAllister: Correct.
- 27:28Sean McAllister: So uh the cost of all the food is rolled into um the price of the picnic that you pay when you purchase the experience.
- 27:36Sean McAllister: So once you're out there, you don't pay for anything extra unless you want to.
- 27:41Sean McAllister: Like there was a one stop um where we ordered a a couple beers, right?
- 27:48Sean McAllister: You know, because we were walking around and we were almost at our final walking stop.
- 27:55Sean McAllister: Um so for that, like we paid out of our pocket.
- 27:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, but for the actual food, we didn't.
- 28:01Sean McAllister: So this, if if you like this kind of thing, if you're looking for something to do on a great uh really comfortable afternoon in Las Vegas, go to this again.
- 28:14Sean McAllister: It's Amazingco Amazingco.me is the website.
- 28:20Sean McAllister: And they have the different experiences listed there, and it was fun, it was great.
- 28:24Dayna Roselli: Well, and and it was gifted to you, right?
- 28:26Dayna Roselli: So it was it's also another gift idea.
- 28:28Dayna Roselli: And it maybe you don't want to do it, but you're like, hey, I know a couple that would, exactly, or friends that would, or hey, great for your parents.
- 28:35Dayna Roselli: I mean, who knows?
- 28:36Dayna Roselli: Like so that sounds like a great gift, something unique.
- 28:39Dayna Roselli: We're very spoiled here in Las Vegas.
- 28:41Dayna Roselli: We have so much to do that sometimes doing something really different like that, it's hard to find, and that does sound like it could be a really good gift.
- 28:50Dayna Roselli: So I love that.
- 28:51Sean McAllister: Yeah, and so you can get uh gift certificates online also.
- 28:55Dayna Roselli: Perfect.
- 28:56Dayna Roselli: Hey, I wanted to let all of our fans out there that love racing and are super excited for the F1 Formula One race that's coming here to Las Vegas.
- 29:07Dayna Roselli: It's huge.
- 29:08Dayna Roselli: I wanted to let everyone know for my tip this week that there is a big party coming up that you may want to attend, and fans can go to this.
- 29:16Dayna Roselli: It's November 5th, and it's gonna be there's like a start line ceremony.
- 29:21Dayna Roselli: This is at the corner of East Harmon and Koval.
- 29:25Dayna Roselli: So that's just to the east of the strip.
- 29:27Dayna Roselli: This is where uh they're gonna do the line ceremony.
- 29:30Dayna Roselli: Then there's gonna be a launch party at Caesar's Palace in the limo lot.
- 29:34unknown: Okay.
- 29:34Dayna Roselli: So that's like right out front.
- 29:36Dayna Roselli: Yep.
- 29:36Dayna Roselli: And then there's a VIP celebration at the Garden of God's pool at Caesar's Palace as well.
- 29:43Dayna Roselli: But apparently, Sean, there's gonna be drivers there.
- 29:46Dayna Roselli: Um, there's gonna be free pulse racing activities and a live car run.
- 29:53Dayna Roselli: So this sounds like it'll be a lot of fun.
- 29:55Dayna Roselli: And anyone that is into this kind of thing, which there are plenty of people that are, I mean, all the world is looking at us for this big race that's coming here in 2023.
- 30:05Dayna Roselli: And this is just a kickoff party to let everyone know hey, we're ready, we're preparing, we're excited to have you come stay in Las Vegas, and it gives a chance too for visitors and also locals to go meet some of the drivers.
- 30:16Sean McAllister: Yeah, and Formula One, I mean, there's a multi-year deal to have races held here in Las Vegas each year.
- 30:25Sean McAllister: So uh this is something that is gonna be a part of the fabric of Las Vegas entertainment and sports now, and we're embracing it in what other way than throwing a Vegas style party.
- 30:38Dayna Roselli: That's awesome, right?
- 30:39Dayna Roselli: November 5th.
