Chinese mathematicians Deng Yu, Wang Hong awarded Fields Medals
Deng Yu and Wang Hong have become the first Chinese mathematicians to win the Fields Medals. Deng won the honor for his work in partial differential equations, while Wang received the nod for her work in harmonic analysis and geometric measure theory.
