- 0:00Speaker 1: Things that must go on.
- 0:05Speaker 2: The radio, things that are bugging you, things that you
- 0:10can't stand any more. You need to have them leave
- 0:13your life. Things that must go. And maybe they're just
- 0:16minor irritants, but irritants nonetheless, if you send them to
- 0:20us via email, you put Musco on the subject line,
- 0:25and then you put the thing that's bugging you in
- 0:26the subject or in the body of the email. You
- 0:29send it to Radio from Hell at X ninety six
- 0:30dot com. Might make you feel better. And sometimes these
- 0:33things magically disappear from your life, these things that must go.
- 0:37I'll start this time. This is sort of a I
- 0:39got one of my own that's kind of a minor thing.
- 0:41There's this labeling that I was reading yesterday on a
- 0:45bottle of a tin cup rye bourbon. And it's a
- 0:50perfectly fine tasting your rye bourbon. But here's what the
- 0:54label said, to Tincup bourbon, to celebrate the minors of
- 0:59tin Up, Colorado and the spirit of the Old West.
- 1:03Cut to proof with pure Rocky Mountain spring water distilled
- 1:07in Indiana. Just okay, if you have to put that
- 1:14it was distilled in Indiana legally somewhere. Don't put it
- 1:18right after that.
- 1:19Speaker 3: They probably have to right after that.
- 1:21Speaker 2: Whole description of how it's all about.
- 1:23Speaker 3: Colorado, very very specific on alcohol labeling, and I bet
- 1:28they have to do it.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Though, let's see this one says my must go is
- 1:32a bit likely, so I apologize. My thing that must
- 1:34go is the legislature that passed House Bill four fifteen
- 1:37without thinking about the music and the arts programs in
- 1:41high schools. I have two boys, a senior and a sophomore,
- 1:44that have participated in marching band and found safety within
- 1:48that group. It has been so good for both of
- 1:51their mental health and well being and allowing them to
- 1:54survive high school starting in twenty twenty five, I guess
- 1:57this House Bill four fifteen eliminate school fees. As the
- 2:02bill currently reads, it applies to all classes and activities
- 2:06for which students receive a grade. The impact of that
- 2:09will be significant. Without fees, schools will have to rethink
- 2:13their entire budgets and triage to support what they can,
- 2:17but there's no way that they'll be able to fund everything.
- 2:20Almost the entire budget for band programs comes from student fees.
- 2:24If the House Bill four to fifteen is not amended
- 2:26or repealed, marching band in Utah will not exist in
- 2:30twenty twenty five. Please make this go away. One of
- 2:33merry Manny angry band parents. Let's see this one says
- 2:38doctors need to quit asking for all of the meds
- 2:41that one takes to be listed. It's always screwed up.
- 2:44It always takes an enormous amount of time to constantly
- 2:47fix the errors. If it's so important to know, why
- 2:50is it always screwed up? Besides, why is it important
- 2:53to know that I'm still taking laxatives when I'm getting
- 2:55an eye exam?
- 2:57Speaker 3: We need to know?
- 2:58Speaker 2: And finally, this one work toilets that take three flushes
- 3:03to clear up your mess. It's just gross. The plume
- 3:07of debris that has come out of every single flush,
- 3:10that's so gross. And restaurants that have the same toilets
- 3:14that's also gross. Thank you Dawson, Eric.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Fecal plume all right? This one from Tony. It was
- 3:24Veterans Day earlier this week, and I took advantage of
- 3:27what was offered to me a free dinner at a
- 3:29steakhouse since I served in the Navy years ago. I
- 3:33got calm to nice sir llin with two sides of
- 3:35a salad and mushroom. But I wanted heel my meal
- 3:39to be healthier, so I added a side of sweet peas.
- 3:44My thing that must go is knowing that freedom isn't free,
- 3:47but being charged extra for the peas because they apparently
- 3:52come at a cost.
- 3:53Speaker 3: So thank you for letting me listen.
- 3:56Speaker 4: PS, it was an extra two dollars and fourteen cents.
- 3:58But anyway, let's see this one from U Heather from
- 4:04beeful the fullest of bounties, Dear Lords and lady. A
- 4:09few months ago I send in my two hundred thousand
- 4:12dollars in debt as a thing that must go. Today
- 4:15I learned my application for total permanent disability discharge has
- 4:19been approved and my forty K student loan debt is
- 4:22going away.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Oh see it works.
- 4:24Speaker 4: Thank you for working your magic. I will sleep well tonight.
- 4:26Speaker 2: Nice. PS.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Student loan borrowers, you may be eligible for a loan
- 4:30discharge if you've been diagnosed with a physical or intellectual
- 4:33disability that impacts your ability to work full time. Look
- 4:35it up and apply for discharge before the next administration
- 4:39takes the program away. All right? And this one from Paulette.
- 4:44Things that must go when there are plants in the
- 4:48way of my line of sight when trying to turn
- 4:50into traffic. I'm all for having greenery in the medians
- 4:54and park strips, but I wish they wouldn't plant things
- 4:56that obstruct my view. It seems like something that should
- 4:59be taken into consideration. That's from Paul Ett Gina.
- 5:04Speaker 3: Let's see stores that put stickers on the front of books.
- 5:07It ruins the book. Don't do this, and also not
- 5:09being able to purchase a book without the actors on
- 5:12the cover because it's now a movie. And parents who
- 5:15won't pull up at school pickup line, Sally can walk
- 5:18an extra twenty feet. I promise she'll be okay. Pull up.
- 5:21Signed a listener since nineteen ninety nine. This is from
- 5:26an exhausted teacher. Please don't use my name. Being forced
- 5:31to learn how to be a trauma nurse in the
- 5:33event of a school shooting must go. Jeez, stop the
- 5:36bleed is the newest training forced upon public school teachers
- 5:40in my district. Instead of spending money to make school safe,
- 5:43they're spending money forcing us to take online and in
- 5:46person training on how to temporarily treat gunshot wounds, how
- 5:50to stuff the gun shot hole with gauze, how to
- 5:52use a tourniquet in the event of a emergency. They're
- 5:55even purchasing a kit to be stored in each classroom.
- 5:59Mind you, this is the same district that can't afford
- 6:01the cartridge for the ancient printer in my classroom. So
- 6:04every time I need to print something, I have to
- 6:06leave my class of thirty two fourth grade students alone
- 6:08so I can run across the school to another hallway
- 6:11to retrieve a piece of paper I have to print.
- 6:14In case you're wondering, no, I did not go to
- 6:16college to be a nurse, nor am I in training
- 6:18to be a short distance track runner. Also, the adage
- 6:21that teachers are so lucky to have summer off must go.
- 6:23We don't get summer off with pay. We take a
- 6:26pay cut each month of the school year if we
- 6:28choose to or in order to receive a paycheck during
- 6:31the summer. Any who, thanks for letting me listen. Pray
- 6:34for us to make it to retirement. Sincerely, exhausted teachers, counselors, EMTs,
- 6:38and everything else everywhere.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Thanks that must go on the radio
