- 2:20first, because I was going to go in a totally.
- 2:21Different direction. You can make as much money as
- 2:24you need and work your way towards any ship in the game.
- 2:28They they were trying to cash in off of that nostalgia and that
- 2:32height. Welcome to Open Comms Radio,
- 2:41your Star Citizen call in show. I'm Jar Jar Jabroni and I'm here
- 2:45with my very special Co host today Duke later the second,
- 2:48Duke later the second. How you doing today?
- 2:50I'm doing good. I feel richer.
- 2:54I feel good. I feel good.
- 2:55I feel good. Yeah, yeah.
- 2:58I feel, I feel, I feel pumped. I feel excited.
- 3:01I'm here. I'm ready for it.
- 3:03I feel, I feel a little swole. In in the ass cheeks.
- 3:09Did. They not mean swole ass muscles.
- 3:14Was it just swole ass muscles? I feel like there could have
- 3:18been some punctuation missing there.
- 3:22I don't want to give the advertisers more time than
- 3:24they've kind of allotted. Oh, right, so.
- 3:27Because they just kind of just paid us to read the thing.
- 3:29And then I mean, if it leaks into the, the the show, it gets,
- 3:33you know, it's just it's not cool, you know, anyway, today's
- 3:39question is why is Zeno threat right for you?
- 3:42Duke Duke Lato Well, we've lost we've lost my my Co host Duke
- 3:53Lato. I don't I don't know what
- 3:55happened. But this week's episode on
- 3:57OnStar Citizen's best call in show open comms radio.
- 4:01We have callers take the room here.
- 4:04Our first caller today is Lord Anubis.
- 4:09Lord Anubis, I'm going to pull you on up.
- 4:13Lord Anubis, welcome to Open Comms Radio, your Star Citizen
- 4:16call in show. Hello.
- 4:19Hello. How are you?
- 4:22I don't, I don't know what happened to Duke.
- 4:25I the too much spice, It's spice poisoning and I heard you have
- 4:31to detox when that happens so I'm not sure.
- 4:36Do you know of anything that might help him?
- 4:40No, no, Nope, Nope, Nope, Nope. I can't.
- 4:45I can't do that. After after I just yelled at him
- 4:47and then he just left. That was horrible of him.
- 4:52Yeah, well, Lord Anubis, you're familiar with the show.
- 4:55You're familiar with the format. This week's question is why is
- 4:57Zeno Threat right for you? Well, as someone who is like
- 5:05mostly and Dorian, I got like an eighth human.
- 5:09I'm not sure how to answer that one.
- 5:14How, how would you present that Zeno threat would be right for
- 5:17me is the question at this point.
- 5:20I, I, I think I'm on the other side of a debate that I'm not,
- 5:24I'm not allowed to participate in.
- 5:27Well, I think if you, if you perhaps may feel a little
- 5:30disenfranchised with the UEE, right?
- 5:34If you felt, if you, you felt maybe like the, the new, what
- 5:40are they called the Banu? If you felt the inclusion of
- 5:43Wiccolo really muddled things up in Stanton.
- 5:47Because now what are people doing flying burritos around
- 5:50everywhere and, and, and hauling carts.
- 5:53And if you are a fan of red and black armor, maybe Zeno Threat
- 5:56is right for you. I'm blue, it kind of clashes.
- 6:02Red, black and blue. That's true.
- 6:03It's the black and blue that clash.
- 6:06I, I, maybe maybe I'm just, I'm just, I'm just kind of curious.
- 6:12So what is your official stance on, let's say, hybrids?
- 6:19Do we have hybrids in in stars Edison?
- 6:23Could possibly be. But do we?
- 6:27Trying to figure out why Zenith read his right to an alien human
- 6:30hybrid. I'm just, I'm just asking.
- 6:33Oh, you're making an alien joke? You're calling Chris Roberts
- 6:38cheap. No.
- 6:42You're saying he's ripping? Yeah, you're saying he's ripped
- 6:44off Ridley Scott. No.
- 6:47Anyways, all right, so look, why is Zeno Threat right for
- 6:53anybody? I don't know if Zeno Threat is
- 6:54right for any, any anybody. My my personal morals do not
- 6:59allow for such an organization to thrive.
- 7:03How do you feel that Zeno threat's been forgotten?
- 7:09I feel that. I feel that, yeah, that that's a
- 7:12problem in the game. So if we're going to go back to
- 7:14the game, we're not going to play the, you know, the the in
- 7:17universe we're talking actually about Zena threat.
- 7:19If we're going to go back to the game, yeah, I think it needs to
- 7:21be more prevalent, especially for a game that seems to want to
- 7:24be politically relevant. They need to start bringing
- 7:27these people back and they need to start making it an actual
- 7:32problem that people can galvanized against instead of
- 7:35piddly little factions that don't mean a thing.
- 7:40You you would call the frontier fighters piddly little.
- 7:45Do they matter? What are they fighting for?
- 7:48Well, I don't know, I I feel like they're kind of almost
- 7:51carbon copies because you have all these like factions and
- 7:54groups, but there's like not much to it.
- 7:57Like they don't like get territory.
- 8:00They don't like, there's no like economy or anything so that they
- 8:03can't like grow more powerful or anything.
- 8:05So it's just kind of like copy, paste, put troops here.
- 8:08Call them one thing, call them another thing.
- 8:11Yeah. And there's these, there's these
- 8:13dumb twists that, you know, they, they, they, you know,
- 8:17there's this little, this little drama story going on when you
- 8:21have an actual threat that has a clear mission, that has a clear
- 8:25stance. And it is not one that is
- 8:28tolerable. It is not one that should be put
- 8:30up with. And it is one that, you know, in
- 8:33times of Star Citizens past, I mean, they made some bold moves
- 8:38as far as talking about what's right and what's wrong.
- 8:40I mean, you talk about Levsky and you're talking about those
- 8:43types of things. But when it comes to Zeno
- 8:45threat, now all of a sudden it's not part of the major, major
- 8:48storyline. Like why like bring it back?
- 8:51It needs it needs to be out there.
- 8:52It needs to be talked about. It needs to be talked about how
- 8:54these people are irrational. Yeah.
- 8:58And especially as you're introducing aliens, I think like
- 9:02to, it surprises me that we're going to Knicks and there's no
- 9:06Zeno threat if if that's where the Vandal are, there's no Zeno
- 9:10threat in Knicks. Yeah.
- 9:14Very interesting, Duke. Later, you're back, back on the
- 9:16show. Welcome back, buddy.
- 9:18I'm back. Yeah, I apparently our, our
- 9:20sponsor didn't like some of the things I said.
- 9:22So they they took me offline for a little while.
- 9:24Yeah, I told you, you know, and you got.
- 9:27I was trying to tell you. I, I, I retract anything that I
- 9:30might have said that that would have been, you know, perceived
- 9:35incorrectly by our our glorious sponsors Zeno threat Who you're
- 9:38right. I mean, we should, we should see
- 9:39them in in Knicks fighting the good fight, defending pure human
- 9:45blood from from Zeno scum. Pure human blood, huh?
- 9:51Yeah. That's correct.
- 9:55Yeah. All right, Lorneobs, anything
- 9:59else you want to say before I bring on our next guest here?
- 10:04No, I just, I, I just do want to reiterate that yeah, the the
- 10:07fact that Zeno threat is a plot line that has been buried for
- 10:12times where it is now very politically relevant is a
- 10:16travesty. Right.
- 10:19And we also had lots of fun with Zeno Threat.
- 10:22Yeah. Yeah, that well, could they
- 10:24mention bringing that mission back?
- 10:26Yeah. The the Crusader 1, whatever
- 10:28it's called, but they're they're going to instance it, which is
- 10:31like, yeah, please, please instance that.
- 10:36I'll be more interested in the the big dynamic event that we
- 10:39used to have with you. No threat.
- 10:41You don't hold. Hold that thought.
- 10:42Hold that thought. Because I I'm with you.
- 10:45I I think I know what you're going to say.
- 10:47OK, I. Think I'm holding it I.
- 10:48Think I want to get there OK. I'm holding I.
- 10:51Well, we have E6 down there in the caller waiting room.
- 10:54We're going to pull him on up here.
- 10:55I haven't seen this guy in a while.
- 10:59E6 open it. OK, we'll try that again.
- 11:03Hold on. E6 Welcome to Opencoms Radio,
- 11:06your star system call in show. This week's question Why is Zeno
- 11:11threat right for you? I just don't think they are,
- 11:16I'm, I'm not much of A space redneck, you know, and I, I can
- 11:20see how appealing the, you know, that nostalgia for the old
- 11:23empire and, and bringing the misers back.
- 11:26But, you know, people forget all the bad parts, you know, all the
- 11:28corruption and, and the waste that goes along with that.
- 11:32So I just, I just don't see how it is for me.
- 11:37This is a good time to point out that the the comments and
- 11:40opinions and feelings of our guests do not reflect those of
- 11:43Open Comms Radio. Yeah, Open Comms Radio.
- 11:48We should let her know. Sponsored by Zeno Threat.
- 11:52I, I mean, you convince me otherwise, but I just, I just
- 11:55don't see the, the glory of the old empire.
- 11:59I don't know too much about the old empire, the measures.
- 12:01Is that what we're talking about?
- 12:03Was that the glory day that they want to go back to I?
- 12:06Mean, that's what it that's what I get from it.
- 12:08You know, they're, they, you know, they, they want to go back
- 12:11to that old, the, the old Cold War and, you know, hate all the
- 12:16aliens and, you know, wave that rebel flag and get in their
- 12:23space truck and shoot off their guns.
- 12:27Well, everybody enjoys shooting off guns once in a while from
- 12:33the from the back of a space truck, just just, you know,
- 12:37recklessly into the void. Those space bullets aren't going
- 12:42to stop. They do in in game, but in real
- 12:44space they're not going to stop and just pop, pop, pop, pop,
- 12:47pop, pop, pop. And then 11, there's a solar
- 12:51system light years away, and one of those spray, after it's
- 12:56travelled for billions of years, travels to that solar system and
- 12:59everyone's like, Oh my God, it's an alien spaceship, but it's
- 13:03just a laser. I would just like to preface by
- 13:07saying that the views and opinions expressed by Open
- 13:10comments radio do not necessarily represent the views
- 13:14of humanity as a population or a concept as a whole.
- 13:17Thank you. Thank you.
- 13:20Well done. Thank you, thank you.
- 13:22But Echo, what do you think about, you know, we used to have
- 13:25Xeno threats in the game so often and we had that whole
- 13:29crusader thing and they looked like they were going to be like,
- 13:32you know, maybe if there's an A big bad and AB big bad, maybe
- 13:36they'd be the B the B big bad. I could definitely I'd like to
- 13:41see them more in in pyro. Maybe, you know, maybe the the
- 13:48Freedom or Frontier fighters and and Zeno threat can get together
- 13:52and hunt down the CFP and and headhunters.
- 13:58Do you do you really think they would the Frontier fighters
- 14:01would align themselves with the Zeno threat?
- 14:04A common enemy. It may not necessarily get
- 14:07along, but the enemy of my enemy is my friend, right?
- 14:10The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
- 14:11Yep. In chat, Black Wicket?
- 14:14Wicket asks why are we talking about Zeno threat?
- 14:16Is the event coming back? Is it Supposedly they mentioned
- 14:21it. They What's the guy who makes
- 14:23the missions? Do you know what the guy who's
- 14:29always on the TV makes the missions?
- 14:31Yeah, I know you're talking about.
- 14:32Elliot, That's it. Elliot.
- 14:34He came on and he said they were bringing it back and they were
- 14:36instancing it. So but it's going to be brought
- 14:40back in Crusader, which is interesting.
- 14:43I think if we have Zeno threat that they're going to be like,
- 14:46wouldn't they want to fight Vanduel?
- 14:50But it sounds like they'd rather fight the UEE than the Vanduel.
- 14:55Crusader does that? Are they?
- 14:57Does that mean 9 tails or really a Zeno threat in disguise?
- 15:02I. Don't know if you if you count
- 15:07like how we have Zeno threat, 9 tails, Frontier fighters,
- 15:12Headhunters, CFP. So that's five like gangs,
- 15:17right? That's the gang.
- 15:21Well, and then you yeah, well, the, the factions or whatever,
- 15:26but then you have the corporations, Art Corp,
- 15:28Crusader, you know what they fucking are the other ones,
- 15:33Micro tech Hurston. So right there you have like 9
- 15:36different groups in the game that you maybe can join, maybe
- 15:42can't join. Maybe you'll have reputation
- 15:45with them. Maybe you are they are all these
- 15:48groups like on the same level, right?
- 15:57I hope that we can get individual Rep, but it sounds
- 16:00like they were simplifying it where you'd have like, what is
- 16:04it Syndicate Rep that includes all gangs, not individual gangs.
- 16:07You're going to have, you know, UE Rep it, you know, they, they
- 16:14consolidated to those major factions or those instead of
- 16:18individual groups. So then what's the point of
- 16:21these individual groups if we don't have reputation with them?
- 16:27Lore. Are they really just cannon
- 16:28fodder? Pretty much they're.
- 16:34A target that's kind of sad. In my head, all these groups
- 16:41were like fighting for land or resources because do you
- 16:48remember they said like these? What are the giant facilities
- 16:51that are on each of the planets, the cargo hubs or whatever that
- 16:56are supposed to like have the big basement and go underground
- 16:58and all that stuff? Oh, the underground facilities
- 17:01that ended up becoming the distribution centers.
- 17:04Distribution centers, that's it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:07We, those were supposed to be places where factions would be
- 17:11able to like hold and stuff, right?
- 17:15Like, oh, this, this one might be a Zeno threat distribution
- 17:18center and therefore you can't go near it.
- 17:20And this one may be a so and so and such and such.
- 17:22But if the if those groups don't have reputation, that doesn't
- 17:27mean anything. And then there's going to be the
- 17:30fights for the the shield system.
- 17:35What shield? The planetary shield.
- 17:37Yep, Yeah. So if you'd have different
- 17:41factions control on the different planets and you'd have
- 17:44to collect, you know, shield tokens or whatever to, you know,
- 17:48so that the shield could protect your factions planet that had
- 17:52potentially your player base on it.
- 17:58Oh, so if Duke were here, he'd say, well, this will come with
- 18:01base building. And Duke would be wrong.
- 18:06And Duke would be Duke would be wrong.
- 18:08Well, that's a that's as good as place any to call up our our
- 18:11next guest there. EE.
- 18:13Is there anything you want to add to the conversation before
- 18:15we pull up our next guest? No, I can't believe we're
- 18:19already 20 minutes into this episode.
- 18:20Actually, that's kind of wild. OK, next guest is Cosmic Hobo.
- 18:29Cosmic Hobo, Welcome to Open Comms Radio, your Star Citizen
- 18:32call in show. Thank you for calling in today.
- 18:35This week's question Why is Zeno threat right for you?
- 18:41Because I'm human. They're just good old boys, you
- 18:47know, looking out for humanity. Not like the corporals are doing
- 18:51that. Those greedy bastards.
- 18:55They want all that Zeno tech for themselves.
- 19:00Have you ever have you ever tried to do a Wiccolo turning,
- 19:05you know, Zeno threat then you'd love Zeno threat then.
- 19:10Yeah, dude, Yeah, I agree. He is all this money, he's got
- 19:15two extra large hangers in a mask, he has multiple asteroids
- 19:20and that fucker can't get like a proper system for turning shit
- 19:23in. Come on.
- 19:24Yeah, and he's got 33 facilities.
- 19:27Zeno threats, right? Well, you already here.
- 19:30First cosmic hobo living on the streets, very easily
- 19:35radicalized. Just took a couple trips to
- 19:38Wicklow. You would be too if you had
- 19:40turning in that stuff. Do you get to keep your Wicklow
- 19:44stuff now? You're supposed to.
- 19:48Have you? Haven't done it, really.
- 19:54Yeah, I've done the basic start emissions, but I haven't really.
- 19:58There's a lot of stuff that takes a long time to gather for
- 20:01most of the turn insurance. And it's just one fuck up with
- 20:06the patch LTP database and it's gone.
- 20:10So I'm just like, I don't really want to do that right now.
- 20:13Like I, I wanted to get one of the Atlas GOIDS and I'm just
- 20:20like, yeah, but then I'm just going to probably lose it
- 20:24because I wouldn't be paying attention.
- 20:26And it will just vanish because you have to specifically save it
- 20:29in a proper way or it will likely vanish between patches.
- 20:33I'm just like, I don't, I don't care to do that right now.
- 20:38Yeah, I feel like there's some of that content that they, they
- 20:41felt, I don't know, I think when they they came out with it, they
- 20:44felt like people be doing this all the time, but there's not
- 20:48like there's not reason to do it 'cause mostly I like, I don't
- 20:52want 90% of the stuff in there. I actually like some of the
- 20:55options. So they're like, I would say
- 20:57like a good 25% of the stuff in there, but OK.
- 21:01Like again, my concern is I do all the work, or worse is I'm
- 21:08with the org doing all the work and I'm like, all right, can I
- 21:12get this and that and this and then AI get a ship only I can
- 21:17use, which doesn't feel great for doing group, kind of like a
- 21:22group activity to get this stuff for the ship and B knowing my
- 21:28luck will just lose anyone a patch.
- 21:30I'm just like I don't want to put I don't I don't want to have
- 21:34to put us through that because it isn't us.
- 21:37Like at the end of the day, doing these grinds isn't US
- 21:41thing. Like yeah sure, most of these
- 21:42things we already do just in our for fun anyway, which is fine,
- 21:49but just feels weird asking for stuff like that with the risk of
- 21:53it just disappearing and it feels kind of selfish.
- 21:58I don't need any of this stuff at Wiccolo.
- 22:02Like I know some people quote need ships I don't really like.
- 22:07I'm good with what I've got right now.
- 22:10I don't want to put anyone through that.
- 22:13But also it's. Supposed to be a.
- 22:14Long grind, like if you were, if this were a stable game and you
- 22:18were playing this for three years, over the course of three
- 22:22years, you maybe get like two or three or four things from
- 22:25Wiccolo. Yeah.
- 22:27And how's the insurance on that going to work?
- 22:33I, I assume you can't insure everything and that would be,
- 22:37you know, easy to, I hope so. I hope you can't insure
- 22:40everything. I think you'll be able to insure
- 22:43it, but there's the difference between the insurance and the
- 22:45warranty of course. So that kind of.
- 22:48Oh yeah, it brought that in, yeah.
- 22:50Yeah. So you might be able to insure
- 22:52it, but you won't get the warranty for it.
- 22:54So if you lose it, you only what?
- 22:57What do you what do you get back for that though 'cause it do you
- 23:00get the cash value of a Wigalo ship back, which defeats the
- 23:05purpose I guess. It's like it's a special ship
- 23:11you spend all this time grinding for and then you lose it.
- 23:14And if you insure it, you're supposed to only get the money
- 23:17back. So do you get a warranty with it
- 23:21and is it a timed warranty? It'll be unique, it'll be
- 23:23completely unique and you won't be able to warranty or ensure or
- 23:27anything like that would be value.
- 23:32The only way that would work then is for the larger ships
- 23:35which would be recoverable like far more.
- 23:39So I'll say 'cause it in theory we're working with what we've
- 23:43been told is if your ship dies soft deaths cause the future, we
- 23:51won't have necessarily divide between soft and hard death.
- 23:54Everything will be essentially soft death unless it like goes
- 23:57nuclear. So if it dies soft deaths,
- 24:02you'll be able to salvage it I guess.
- 24:05But then you'd need a marker for it and then way to transport it
- 24:10and. What a good deflection from my
- 24:16Zeno threat question. Yes.
- 24:20Excellent. I sure would like to be able to
- 24:22get the paints, but not the whole ship.
- 24:28Some of them are made by clearly a Retiree.
- 24:33I I describe them as the Florida retiree designing a paint.
- 24:39What? What can you send me a
- 24:41screenshot of one of those? Yeah, it's, it's like,
- 24:45especially that first like tranche of ships, they all look
- 24:50to me like they were designed, which is on character, like he
- 24:54is a retiree. Like I, I like what they did,
- 24:59breaking my, my southern heritage character aside, I like
- 25:04what they did. I I do like Wiccolo's character,
- 25:09his character design. He, he, his, his speech
- 25:13patterns, it's all very well done.
- 25:17It's just. He's a weirdo.
- 25:18He's a weirdo, he's an alien and he he is fascinated by humanity
- 25:27and it's just honestly, as a human dude, that's weird.
- 25:33Have you guys seen Dragon Ball? Dragon Ball Super the the new
- 25:37seasons. New seasons No.
- 25:42Nobody here echo. Nope, I never get into Dragon
- 25:45Ball. OK.
- 25:46I mean I watch Dragon Ball but not like.
- 25:48Well, in, in the, in the new like series of Dragon Balls,
- 25:52Dragon Ball Super, these came out in like the last five or
- 25:55eight years or whatever. There's a, a character called
- 25:58Beerus and he's like this God and he's gonna destroy earth.
- 26:02And typically in Dragon Ball, Goku like has to fight the bad
- 26:05guy and he has to get stronger and this and that.
- 26:07OK, this God comes. He's the God of destruction.
- 26:10Goku cannot beat him. And so he's going to destroy the
- 26:14world. But then he decides not to
- 26:17because one of the other characters introduces him to
- 26:19sushi and ice cream and pizza, right?
- 26:23And so the plot is he's like, I can't destroy this planet
- 26:26because there's so much delicious food here.
- 26:28And I got like a very similar vibe to that with Wiccolo when
- 26:32he's asking for like, burritos and like all these like, weird
- 26:34things. He's just like, what is this?
- 26:36This is amazing, you know, I think.
- 26:38And if you read his things, it's just like, it just gives me a
- 26:41similar vibe. I I do want to interject.
- 26:44You said just a few years ago that ended seven years ago.
- 26:48Dragon Ball Super. Yes, no, and it started in 2015
- 26:54and that was 10 years ago. OK.
- 26:56It started in 2015. It did not end seven years ago.
- 26:59No, no. Maybe it's called you old no?
- 27:01No. The printed the printed MAGA
- 27:03maybe, but not the show. No, the TV series ended in 2018.
- 27:11It only ran 2015 to 2018. Bro I'm going to Fact Check you
- 27:15so hard after this. IMDb.
- 27:20For a show that's more recent, Resident Alien kind of had a
- 27:23similar plot. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 27:25Oh, yeah. That's good.
- 27:26That's good. Yeah, the alien who comes down
- 27:28and, you know, he, he finds humanity and, you know, he ends
- 27:32up not killing them because everybody's kind of cool.
- 27:34You know, he actually kind of likes them and ends up growing a
- 27:37soul. But then they, you know, there's
- 27:39a later part of the season where another alien comes down and
- 27:42he's, he's like, oh, I know all about these humans.
- 27:44They're not going to be able to turn me.
- 27:46They turn them anyways. They they, they actually didn't
- 27:48actually like try to fight the alien because they knew it was
- 27:51going to happen anyways, so. Alan Jadek is wonderful.
- 27:56Yeah, you entice them, honey and and and stuff.
- 27:58Well, you guys are making fun of me for not knowing time and and
- 28:02old things. So I think it's fitting that we
- 28:05bring on the oldest man in the universe.
- 28:08Wicket. Wicket, thank you for coming to
- 28:11Open Comms Radio, your Star Citizen call in show.
- 28:16Citizens. Long time listener, occasional
- 28:20caller. Wicked, thank you for joining us
- 28:24on the couch today. You know how the show works.
- 28:26It's a call in show. Usually I have a Co host here,
- 28:29but my Co host tonight is is gone.
- 28:33He's left. Unreliable.
- 28:35Here unreliable. I heard his his his rotting
- 28:41corpse was was salvage for water.
- 28:46It's water content in the deep desert of Arakas.
- 28:50Spoiler alert it. Happens.
- 28:53Wicket, why is Zeno threat right for you?
- 28:58I have no idea what that question means, but all I can
- 29:01tell you is this. When I hear Zeno Threat, I think
- 29:06of I think back a couple years ago when the Zeno Threat
- 29:09missions were and it was glorious.
- 29:12All at the time, all aspects of Star Citizens were involved.
- 29:18You had hauling, well, except for mining, which you know,
- 29:22that's its own thing. But you had hauling.
- 29:24You had, you had to have logistics to move stuff around.
- 29:27You had some FPS combat, you had fighter combat.
- 29:32And all these things were just amazing when they worked, of
- 29:35course, you know, But then these knuckleheads, they'd start up
- 29:38the Xeno threat event and then at the same time they'd launch a
- 29:42new PTU or some crap and everything would just go and
- 29:47flowed and nothing would work. But when it did work, it was
- 29:53great. It was like some of the most fun
- 29:54I've ever had in in Star Citizen just having to get into those
- 30:00ships figure, you know, especially when those those
- 30:03missions were brand new and you had to learn how to get into the
- 30:09ships, figure that part out. Then you had to kill the
- 30:12remaining guys on the ship, figure out how to open the door
- 30:17and move the cargo and all all aspects of that mission were
- 30:21great when they were. And when you said, when I saw
- 30:24Zeno, that's all I could think about.
- 30:26It's like, man, if they're bringing that back and they can
- 30:28make it work for a change, that would be awesome because that
- 30:31was you're talking. About the 3.14 space missions.
- 30:36Well, it was for me. It was 3.153 point 16 back in
- 30:40those days. That's when it went great.
- 30:42That was awesome stuff. That was some of the best, you
- 30:44know. I mean, we had to have two.
- 30:46Rewired emergencies, yeah. We had, we had guys that were
- 30:50all they did was they covered us with their fighters and you
- 30:54know, there were PvP Ers there or MPCS and those guys were
- 30:59covering our ass while we were unloading all the the what, what
- 31:04was the stuff? The blue, the green and the
- 31:06yellow. I forget the name of the stuff.
- 31:08Oh yeah. Yeah, yeah, the one you couldn't
- 31:11warp with, the other one you couldn't jostle too hard and.
- 31:15Then, well, they redid those two in the later patches.
- 31:19Yeah, I know they use that for other stuff, but but just that
- 31:23mission of having those, you know, it was just awesome, man.
- 31:28Oh yeah. Because you had so many
- 31:29varieties. And then the Idris would show up
- 31:32the enemy Idris, you know it, come in and harass the Jericho
- 31:35station and you'd have to defend it.
- 31:38Then they'd they'd they'd F off for a while and then you can go
- 31:42back to hauling all the gear that they needed to restock the
- 31:46Jericho and the ship, the Javelin.
- 31:48And then all of a sudden, finally the you had delivered
- 31:52all your stuff And then now the the the Javelin can undock
- 31:56because it's been re armed and refueled or whatever.
- 32:00And then there was the final battle with the enemy Idris and
- 32:03the Javelin would come out and everybody would like team up
- 32:06together. It looks like the whole server
- 32:08would be there and everybody was fighting this this Idris.
- 32:11It was just awesome. That was just a that was like
- 32:14peak Star Citizen for me. Yeah, when it worked, but my
- 32:19frames are always single digits so it barely did.
- 32:22Well, back in the day the. First couple.
- 32:24Times I ran that. It worked.
- 32:27Really it it worked pretty good it it really did.
- 32:30Especially back in the day when they only had 50 people on a
- 32:34server and stuff. Do you think maybe Do you think
- 32:39maybe that's why they haven't brought it back?
- 32:41Do they need to rescale it to the new server pop?
- 32:46Well they just need to make their game better so the game
- 32:49scales. To that mission.
- 32:52So simple. Thank you, wicked.
- 32:53Thank you. For the insights.
- 32:55I mean, literally that's what they need to do.
- 32:57I mean, I'm not trying to be facetious or anything.
- 33:00They need to make their game play better so it can handle
- 33:03that with the bigger surfer pop. Yeah.
- 33:07I mean, that mission was not that that big, that that mission
- 33:11was not that complex. I mean, for the time it was, but
- 33:14I mean, you know, it, especially the way in, in most games
- 33:19nowadays, the way the the games play in these like multi tiered
- 33:22missions, each mission is its own little subset of a mission
- 33:26that you complete until you go on to the next phase.
- 33:28It's you know, it, it might seem like it's all happening
- 33:31concurrently, but you know, it's, it's not that complex.
- 33:35That seems, and to me anyway, I just think they need to make
- 33:39their game better. And their persistence?
- 33:43Well, yeah. Well, the sometimes this was
- 33:47before they had persistent true persistence.
- 33:50Sometimes you'd go back to the mission and the old exploded
- 33:54containers would be there, but the new containers wouldn't
- 33:56respond and then the mission would brick.
- 33:58Do you guys remember? Yeah, and then they were also
- 34:05flying through a field of bodies.
- 34:07Just everywhere then they're. Invisible that there.
- 34:10'D be people that would take the mission and just sign up for it
- 34:13and just stand around at the station catch, catching that rap
- 34:18and catching that a. Couple times, so yeah, well.
- 34:21You know that's going to happen. In phase three of the current
- 34:23one. Yep, Has phase 3 started?
- 34:26Tomorrow. Tomorrow I better finish Phase
- 34:302. Are you going to host a thing
- 34:32hobo? Probably, yeah.
- 34:33I mean it's, it's a global event.
- 34:35So we'll have to just roll up probably with the interest for
- 34:37that. Oh OK so I'm I'm guessing Fuji
- 34:41will be there. Yeah, when, when could oil is
- 34:43available? We'll it's going to be a little
- 34:46different because it's, since it's a global event, we don't
- 34:49have to necessarily. I mean, I don't really.
- 34:54It's going to be full of capital ships anyway, so we might as
- 34:56well show up with our own. So I think this is Duke.
- 35:00If you recall earlier I told you to, to save that is this Phase 3
- 35:06mission, this global event? What what is this?
- 35:09This is the the Are we collecting something and
- 35:12bringing it somewhere? Do you mind spoilers?
- 35:18Well, it's it goes to this is the air the day it it's there,
- 35:21so I'm fine with that. Spoilers ahead.
- 35:25Spoilers, Spoilers. For tomorrow at noon or
- 35:27whatever. Unbelievable.
- 35:29Unbelievable. You know, I don't need the lore,
- 35:31but the gameplay wise. Oh yeah, it's space.
- 35:34Like, short, short answer is it's space.
- 35:38It's a global contract. There's patrols and satellites.
- 35:42Once those once you kill the satellites then enemy waves will
- 35:47spawn and then you do that a few times and then the you got to
- 35:52ambush the Polaris. OK, so it doesn't have any
- 35:59industrial component to it any like non combat component to it,
- 36:03correct? Yeah, that's cool.
- 36:07That's what was so cool about the Zeno threat mission, right?
- 36:10Everyone had something to do. Everyone had something to, to
- 36:14specialize in. And before I, I had some of the
- 36:18best fun just being a cargo runner.
- 36:21You know, I was in my Freelancer.
- 36:22I would just show up, pop the back and get loaded up with
- 36:25whatever, you know, whether I could only use conventional
- 36:30engines or you know, had to do it in a certain amount of time.
- 36:35I, I just remember 1 where I, I had whichever one it was where
- 36:39you couldn't quantum and then someone came out and took out
- 36:43one of my main engines in the Freelancer and I had to limp all
- 36:48the way back like desperately keeping the ship straight the
- 36:52whole way. And it was just like, yeah, this
- 36:54is cool. Like I'm using all the systems
- 36:56in the game right now and it's working really well.
- 37:00And that's what they haven't done since Everything is always
- 37:03just one or the other, right? We had the supply.
- 37:07What was it? Supply or?
- 37:09Die. Supply or die.
- 37:11And that was that was just cargo just moving lots of boxes.
- 37:15Resource drive, Resource Drive. Resource Drive.
- 37:17Yeah, they they relabeled it, Yeah.
- 37:19Yeah. And then we've got these, you
- 37:20know, just combat, like, let's put it all together, CIG, you've
- 37:24got a great game. You've got a lot of systems that
- 37:27can work very well together. They just, I don't know if
- 37:31they're yes, I mean, I don't know if they're afraid or they
- 37:34can't or. Yeah, maybe it's like server
- 37:37stuff or like as well as the server works.
- 37:40You have to admit that since we've had server meshing or
- 37:43whatever, we haven't had any of those cool like Zeno Threat 3.14
- 37:47missions. We've haven't even really had
- 37:50instance missions yet. We haven't had like anything
- 37:54really new. It's basically just been FPS
- 37:58missions. Yep, with a little story with.
- 38:01A little story. There was 1.
- 38:04Cargo missions that didn't fucking work.
- 38:06Yeah, there there there was one really cool mission type that
- 38:10got cut from 01 of the events. I think it was fight for Pyro.
- 38:17It was so it was actually one of these things I've it still was
- 38:22combat focused, but it was multi domain in the sense that you had
- 38:27to and here's bringing it back to a location brought up
- 38:31earlier, a distribution center. You had to secure a.
- 38:34Distribution center. Yeah, so the mission type.
- 38:39Dude wasn't here for half the show and he's like, what the
- 38:41word did you talk about? On district.
- 38:43On district. Watch Center Watch you.
- 38:46Mentioned that I don't remember that what.
- 38:48Yes, so like I can't remember who it was took over Zeno threat
- 38:54or Frontier fighters, one of the bad guy factions, which yeah,
- 38:59we're gonna have bad guy factions.
- 39:00It's it's just it's I I know we were talking about that earlier,
- 39:04but the at the end of the day, there are going to be factions
- 39:08that are just going to be bad guys.
- 39:10So I mean, I mean Zeno threat great.
- 39:14They're let the money flow. Don't ask where they're getting
- 39:18their money from. That's an interesting lore
- 39:20thing. But anyway, so you take go bad
- 39:24guys have taken over distribution center.
- 39:27You have to land ground forces and then drive to the
- 39:31distribution center because they have taken control of the anti
- 39:34air defenses and you have to hack multiple stations to turn
- 39:39off by hack it's you sit and you press a button to sit and then
- 39:43the bar goes up. You hack the these stations and
- 39:48to take back control of the anti air defenses.
- 39:52But there's more. There was another factor
- 39:54involved where there were data runners trying to escape with, I
- 39:59don't know, sensitive corporate info or something from the
- 40:02distribution center. So you had to have air support,
- 40:05but they couldn't get close to necessarily do any sort of like
- 40:09cast or anything like that. They had to kill, kill the
- 40:13escaping data runners and their escorts.
- 40:16So you've got to have a squad up there taking care of the ships
- 40:20escaping while you have ground forces launching the assault
- 40:23simultaneously. I loved that concept.
- 40:26I played it like once or twice on the PTU and then they were
- 40:30just like, it's broken and we'll, we'll, we'll plan on
- 40:34bringing this back on a different, at a different phase
- 40:37and then just never did. And then they just cans
- 40:42distribution centers. Yeah, distribution centers just
- 40:45became. You can still go to bounties
- 40:48there and there's still some very light delivery missions for
- 40:53those, but they not in the slightest lived up to their
- 41:00intended. They're two years of hype.
- 41:03Yeah, that yeah, they're big. Yeah, yeah, that's right.
- 41:08And they were cool at 1st and they did stuff with them at 1st
- 41:11and now nothing. Nothing.
- 41:17It's huge, you know, cool looking places with lots of
- 41:20potential. And I, I think, I mean, it's,
- 41:25it's our own fault, right? It's our fault as gamers.
- 41:27I think CIG obviously tends to get a little caught up in
- 41:31chasing the new because they've they've got to dangle a new
- 41:34shiny. Sometimes I feel like they
- 41:40don't. I don't think they have to do
- 41:42that anymore, is what I'm saying.
- 41:43Like, I know they've done that in the past, but I don't think
- 41:46that's a dangle any new shiny in front of us anymore.
- 41:48I think those days have. Based on what they're They're
- 41:51still dangling new shinies. That's what they do.
- 41:54Yeah, but they don't have to. That's what I'm saying is they
- 41:56have to. Change their their What do you
- 41:58mean they don't have to? It says who says why?
- 42:02Well, I don't. Consider Nicks like.
- 42:03A new shiny. It's not like a new feature or
- 42:05anything. It's not like technically a new
- 42:07thing. Well, most of this stuff isn't a
- 42:10new system. Like even the distribution
- 42:11centers are not a new feature, it's just the location.
- 42:16The same thing with Nyx, it's just a new place.
- 42:18It's an even the ships, you know, ships are not a new
- 42:21feature. It's just a new shiny.
- 42:24Interstellar cargo is a new feature though that is new.
- 42:29Yeah, we're gonna take back what I said give.
- 42:32Me, or I mean, you know, technically it is.
- 42:35You're technically correct. It's an evolution of.
- 42:39No, really all all it is is right.
- 42:42It's just a car letting you move cargo from one location to an
- 42:46even further location. But when a system isn't even,
- 42:52like it doesn't have any planets, right?
- 42:54It doesn't have really anything except for one location. 2
- 42:59locations like that isn't even. I mean, it's not a system, not
- 43:06yet. 1 is a new location. A new location?
- 43:09Is that what you're asking? Yeah, because I mean, to me,
- 43:12it's you're just jumping, you're just taking an extra long time
- 43:15to just jump to just what essentially if it were dropped
- 43:18in the middle of Stanton would just be a just another location.
- 43:23But this one is, I guess. I mean, I mean, if they, if they
- 43:27drop five more planets of the Stanton, it'd be crazy
- 43:30obviously. But you know, that would be a
- 43:32whole system's worth of stuff. But this is not this is.
- 43:34This is 2 places. So I mean, I do kind of like the
- 43:39idea of, you know, they're developing in the same way they
- 43:42did with Stanton. But at the same time, obviously
- 43:46they did that with Stanton because that was the
- 43:50technological hurdle at the time, right?
- 43:52Like they were just getting the hand of, of building out planets
- 43:56and being able to land on them and everything else.
- 43:58And they didn't have the pipeline ready to make these
- 44:02things quickly. And now, you know, apparently
- 44:06they've been working on these tools.
- 44:08We all know the joke from watching, you know, Iscs from
- 44:11back in the day. It was it's always a new tool,
- 44:13right? It was like every other one you
- 44:15watch. There was a new tool they were
- 44:16developing for for Planet Tech and for the artists.
- 44:20So theoretically they have all these tools.
- 44:26Let's let's pump out the planets.
- 44:28Except they they they need to create a new tool every year
- 44:32because they create a new engine or a new feature every year.
- 44:35And that requires new tools that require new tools.
- 44:38That will now require a new tool to coordinate the tools to use
- 44:42the tools. It's a lot of tooling.
- 44:49There's a lot of tooling. I think it's open.
- 44:51Tool. Tool time.
- 44:58Was that like, right, That's Tim Allen, right.
- 45:00Was that? Yeah, yeah.
- 45:02Yeah, that was one of his things.
- 45:03He's. That's blast from the past.
- 45:05Let's snort some some nose, some nose powder and talk about tools
- 45:10I guess. Did you know that they tried
- 45:13shadow launching a Dave Chappelle show on Tool Time?
- 45:18What? Yeah.
- 45:20Dave, wait. Dave, wait.
- 45:21Hold on. You're blowing my mind.
- 45:22First of all, Dave Chappelle was around as the at the same time,
- 45:27Yeah. It was relatively early in his
- 45:30comedy slash TV career, and this was well before, you know, his
- 45:36particular show, but it was going to try.
- 45:40Clearly it didn't work because Dave Chappelle was it was and is
- 45:46not exactly the most family friendly comedian.
- 45:49So his style did not exactly work with ABC, with Disney for
- 45:57obvious reasons. But they tried him and some
- 46:00other comedian for some sort of sitcom style comedy and it just,
- 46:04it I don't think even lasted a full season and they canceled.
- 46:07It. But yeah, they they tried Shadow
- 46:09launching that on full time. It was an episode of Full Time,
- 46:14Yeah. Well, getting back to to Star
- 46:18Citizens and to the events. So looking at some of the things
- 46:23on the horizon like the, you know, the the event in NICs
- 46:28that's been teased with the space station and possibly some
- 46:34some big alien capital ships and stuff.
- 46:37Do we think that that is going to be multifaceted in any way
- 46:42like the old Zeno threat or is it just going to be another
- 46:46shoot everything inside type of mission?
- 46:52I think it's going to be issued everything on site honestly.
- 46:56It's just it's just the only MMO they have or MO they have in
- 47:00this MMO. Well, we have evidence that's
- 47:04not true, but in this case, yeah, it's probably.
- 47:07Probably just going to shoot everything.
- 47:10Yes, until we get more of an idea of how we the player are
- 47:14going to be able to support Levski and that's right now it
- 47:19looks like that's going to be within the municipal works the
- 47:23the dungeon, I suppose underneath Levski.
- 47:29How that? It's going to be snakes.
- 47:34Maybe they'll introduce, you know, crabs or.
- 47:37Spider, we say, and the sewer. Snakes in the sewer, probably.
- 47:40And Samuel L Jackson's gonna. There's.
- 47:46Gonna be a cameo. Of these motherfucking snakes.
- 47:51This motherfucking space station.
- 47:56Yeah, no, I I agree. It probably will be end up being
- 48:00a snake. That would be so amazing.
- 48:03You should have to run around the station to different
- 48:06toilets. No, you're like, no, you're,
- 48:09you're hunting vibrations to try to figure out which toilet the
- 48:12snake's going to pop out of next.
- 48:13You have to, you have to, you have to interact with the
- 48:16character Samuel Jackson on the station.
- 48:20I, I, you know, I, I know we were, we were saying no
- 48:23spoilers, you know, about Star. I mean, we're saying spoilers
- 48:26about Star Citizen, but this is spoilers ruining the entire
- 48:28third act of Squadron 42. Apologies everyone.
- 48:34Yeah, that's what's the leaks channel called.
- 48:37What's the leaks Discord? What?
- 48:38What? What did you just say?
- 48:40Wiki leaks pipeline. Don't worry about it.
- 48:43You. Just you just spoiled the third
- 48:45act. A Squadron 42.
- 48:48Samuel Jackson is a Squadron 42. Yeah.
- 48:53Unbelievable so. I want to.
- 48:56I just want to turn everyone's attention now.
- 48:58I put it in the chat here in the open comms chat.
- 49:01It's a link. To the Wikipedia article for
- 49:04Dragon Ball. Super well, IMDb is.
- 49:07Not yes. You're old.
- 49:09Are all the Dragon Ball super movies?
- 49:11The last one was 2022. OK, the.
- 49:15Movie that long ago? And that counts in in the in the
- 49:21manga world, that counts. That's what and.
- 49:26What are we talking about? I'm so confused.
- 49:29This show you guys were all like.
- 49:32Did this happen when I was old? And I'm like it's not old last.
- 49:35Week is a. Star Trek show this week we're
- 49:38going into the the Dragon Balls. Until time.
- 49:42Until time is feeling self-conscious about making a
- 49:47reference that seemed outdated and therefore is feeling old and
- 49:51wants to prove that he is not old by look.
- 49:54Here's something from three years ago that I thought just
- 49:56came out last week, because time goes by so quickly for me since
- 49:59I am so old. No.
- 50:02No. No, no, it's, it's, it's I just
- 50:07want, I just feel like we owe it to our listeners to give them
- 50:10facts. And, and when, when I know we're
- 50:13saying something that is incorrect, I want to make sure
- 50:15that it is corrected. I don't.
- 50:17You know, George, Speaking of which, we we do have another
- 50:20caller waiting. Yeah, yeah, we got another.
- 50:23Car not this guy. Let him wait a minute.
- 50:25Let him wait a minute because he's just going to come up here
- 50:27and give us. Something he's going to derail
- 50:29us. He's going to go Choo Choo.
- 50:30Crazy. Give us nothing but train talk.
- 50:34Locomotive humor. Yeah, well, I can't believe it.
- 50:38For for those of you listening, if if you've gotten this far,
- 50:41you probably understand how the show works.
- 50:42It's a call in show. Anyone could call in.
- 50:44We usually have the same dozen or so people who who call in
- 50:47every once in a while. But if you do want to join, you
- 50:49can join us on the Discord. That'd be cool.
- 50:52You can watch this on the YouTube and on the Spotify and
- 50:54you can give us a little like you can give us a little file.
- 50:56You can give us a little subscribe.
- 50:58If if you also watch Dragon Ball and and you want to put in the
- 51:01comments how wrong anyone else is about Dragon Ball super, you
- 51:05could you could do that as well. Yes, hold, hold.
- 51:08OK, listen, everybody knows how the show works.
- 51:11You just call in and talk about whatever the hell you want to
- 51:13talk. About.
- 51:13Yeah, I thought we were going to listen to the train conductor
- 51:15now. Oh.
- 51:17My God, if you want to, if you want to.
- 51:19Talk to a character. Move, move down the couch,
- 51:22folks. Move on down, everyone's scooch.
- 51:24Yeah, the couch. It gets bigger as the show goes
- 51:26on. Everyone can move down the
- 51:27couch. And now I can bring on our next
- 51:28guest down to the couch, someone who will bring us right back to
- 51:31the rails. I know it to be true.
- 51:34It is. Murphy, Jack.
- 51:35Murphy, Jack. Welcome to Open Comms Radio,
- 51:37your star assistant Colin Show. Good evening.
- 51:43Yeah. Ask me the question.
- 51:46Jeez, oh eager Beaver, huh? Why is Zeno threat right for
- 51:50you? Well, they're now correct me if
- 51:57I'm wrong, but aren't they the ones that are supposed to be in
- 52:00charge of Ruin Station? No.
- 52:07OK, so they really did get me are no longer they're no longer
- 52:12in charge there. They got fired.
- 52:14It got retcon the narrow, rough and ready now controls like all
- 52:21the stations in Pyro now all. Right, well, moving on, we know,
- 52:26we we know that we're going to Knicks, right?
- 52:31We're going to have the the van duel there.
- 52:35Are we going to, Is it going to be like the enemy of my enemy is
- 52:41my friend? It's going to be the enemy of my
- 52:46enemy is my friend, yeah. It's going to be the enemy of
- 52:49the enemy is my enemy because it's all enemies all the way
- 52:52down. So we're not going to see like a
- 52:56standing side by side with Zeno threat fighting the Vandool.
- 53:00Doubtful. Very dope.
- 53:02It's possible. It's possible though.
- 53:04Do you want to stand side by side with the space clan?
- 53:09I mean. Think about it like, you know,
- 53:13if the Vandools would brings everybody together, we're all
- 53:18all of us versus the Vandool. And it's like, think like the
- 53:21possibilities like lining up CFP and headhunters and frontier
- 53:28fighters who are, I mean, they, they're probably going to end up
- 53:31being the saviors. I I saw this happening called
- 53:35World War 2 and someone eventually decided to turn on
- 53:39everybody else. No, the kids don't know World
- 53:40War 2 anymore. It's the end game moment.
- 53:42I was going to say Murphy's Kitchen that end game moment.
- 53:45You know the operational org is now going to be Star Citizen's
- 53:49end game moment. It's.
- 53:50Going to be all. The games are friends.
- 53:53Once the Zeno guys, and it's possible.
- 53:56I mean, I'd rather stand side by side with Zeno than get my like,
- 54:00face eaten by a vandal or something.
- 54:04I guess are. You saying aliens eat people's
- 54:07faces? Is that what we do?
- 54:10I don't know why you said we there, but possibly.
- 54:17I just think of the moment in like Star Trek The Next
- 54:22Generation, where, Oh no, the Klingons are the the Klingons of
- 54:29the Civil War, Klingon civil war, right?
- 54:31They're. All fighting, then they all go
- 54:34into the into the bar and they're all like, yeah, you
- 54:36know, they're enemies. Yeah.
- 54:38Like wouldn't have. Oh yeah, Interesting.
- 54:40That's what I would once. Once you go in the bar like
- 54:44you're that like, yeah, I just shot at that guy last week.
- 54:48OK, cool, whatever. But yeah, I mean that they they
- 54:51see battle differently. It's a.
- 54:54It's a whole thing, but but. So it's more like the scene
- 54:57towards the end of DS9 when the Kardashians change sides, right?
- 55:01They all thought the Kardashians were bad and then they turn and
- 55:03they start blowing up the jemadar.
- 55:06Yeah, 'cause they, you know what?
- 55:08Once, once you embolden the population enough to know that
- 55:11the authoritarian regime does not have to keep a hold on you,
- 55:14you can start fighting for freedom.
- 55:16A lot of Kardashians hold that sympathy.
- 55:19I think I think we're all missing the the bigger picture
- 55:23here and I haven't been able to figure it out yet.
- 55:26I don't know if if if art or first of all, can we even say
- 55:32Star Citizen is art? I guess in some level, yes.
- 55:35Oh. Yeah, of course it is.
- 55:37And then, and then we have to take it a step further.
- 55:40Is art imitating life or is life imitating art?
- 55:45Are we all going to become a new kind of space ice agent and
- 55:51we're now having to go after the Zenos, the the aliens?
- 55:55Or are we going to be, you know, maybe protecting them?
- 56:01I don't know. But it seems like it's a little
- 56:03on the nose, if you get my meaning.
- 56:06Well hopefully you can make the decision but in CI GS defense
- 56:143.14 was like 2020 and they had a Zeno threat back then.
- 56:21Yeah. Well, and, and not to mention
- 56:23these types of organizations pop up throughout history.
- 56:27And this is not a new thing. It's a recurring cycle.
- 56:30And this is just something that, you know, needs to be explored,
- 56:37needs to be talked a little bit more and needs to have more
- 56:39examples. So people get the point.
- 56:41Because sometimes, you know, you see it one story, one way, you
- 56:44can rationalize it away and say, well, those were aliens, those
- 56:46were actual aliens or whatever. But if you keep seeing it and
- 56:48you keep seeing the, the moral of the story being, yeah, people
- 56:53who persecute others just because they're different or
- 56:55fucking Dicks and they will never be on the right side of
- 56:57history, you know, I mean. So maybe all we need is good
- 57:03aliens. Right.
- 57:07Well, wikilo is not. Helping.
- 57:08No, Yeah, don't mention. Yeah, not not wikilo.
- 57:10I'm saying we need we need some other ways to interact with non
- 57:15humans in the game. We've got the Tavarin right, who
- 57:18are part of the Empire now. No, that's what I'm saying.
- 57:22So we've got them as an option. We need to see them.
- 57:24We need to be able to, you know, have some tense but generally
- 57:28peaceful interactions with the Shian and some some Banu who
- 57:34aren't weirdos morons like Wiccolo.
- 57:39Well, as in, in this, when we did the mission and you get the
- 57:44Vanduel, when we find the Vanduel, the first incidents
- 57:47where you see a Vanduel and Star Citizen, it's not attacking you.
- 57:52It's dead, isn't it? It's dead.
- 57:54It's on an what's basically an autopsy table.
- 57:57It's it's just as ripped open and it has what is.
- 58:02Obviously. A horrific experiment being done
- 58:06on it. So when I saw that for the first
- 58:08time I was like oh shit. Like I mean, are the Vandool
- 58:12really evil or are we all being propagandized into the Vandool?
- 58:18Evil. We don't really know what was
- 58:20going on in that lab. They may have been trying to fix
- 58:22them up and got interrupted. Yeah.
- 58:27That's fair. We just he busted the door in.
- 58:29Well. They were just, they were just
- 58:31trying to put all those little pieces, Doctor.
- 58:33Seuss was neat. It was elbow deep inside of that
- 58:36van duel trying to fix his heart and mix.
- 58:39Him clearly. A bunch of these star citizens
- 58:41come barging in, kill Doctor Seuss, and now we got this guy
- 58:44on the slab and everybody thinks he's been brutally assaulted
- 58:48when actually. Right.
- 58:50Wrench was trying to fix his brother.
- 58:52And we don't know what we're doing.
- 58:53We just go up to the top and press some button that zaps his
- 58:56body with radiation. Unbelievable.
- 58:59Well, if you think about it. We did it.
- 59:01Mission accomplished. Talk about xenophobic, jeez.
- 59:06I mean, if you think about it like we encounter them, we steal
- 59:13their technology to regen, you know?
- 59:16But what part exactly? What did we?
- 59:21Because that's the thing. What if that's something that's
- 59:24not necessarily technology for them, but that's more of a
- 59:26natural ability and we're like Co opting and scrambling?
- 59:30Or what if it is technology but at this point it's been
- 59:33integrated into their culture as like their religion?
- 59:36Well, there's that, you know. There's actually word to this,
- 59:40but it's spoilers. It's not spoilers.
- 59:45It is. If it's available for everyone,
- 59:48if it's not listed in a leaks channel, then I I guess it's
- 59:50not. Spoilers.
- 59:52Spoilers if. You want to actually do the
- 59:54quests and like read the logs and listen to them because
- 59:59that's where this comes from. Maybe we should establish a
- 1:00:02point of time where that can be talked about then in the future.
- 1:00:06I I know in some places they have like, you know, a week
- 1:00:10after the episode kind of thing, or you know, longer.
- 1:00:14So what would we want to? Establish where are you seeing
- 1:00:16these spoilers? I was this in the latest the
- 1:00:20Frontier fighters this. Is a lot of this is from the
- 1:00:25Onyx facilities? You just have to read a lot of
- 1:00:28the side stuff, pick up ads, listen to the logs.
- 1:00:32It's on the the tablets. See, I don't get to do that
- 1:00:36because I'm usually just desperately running, trying to
- 1:00:39keep up with Murphy. But.
- 1:00:41We're all doing. That so I don't get lost and
- 1:00:43murdered in the depths of the facility.
- 1:00:47That's true. You're too old with tablets.
- 1:00:50I. Know I got to slow down.
- 1:00:51Oh. My God, put those medium and
- 1:00:54heavy legs back on. Usually I'm like, hold on, oh
- 1:00:57look, I found a pad and all of a sudden Murphy's like 2 levels
- 1:01:01away from me and I have to run you.
- 1:01:03Mean they're running up. Back on the ship and and and.
- 1:01:06The Fugees taking off. Yeah, they flow.
- 1:01:10Back to orbit. Take the hint man.
- 1:01:12Yeah, E6, you haven't, you haven't spoken much in a while.
- 1:01:16We've said a lot of kind of blasphemous things about about
- 1:01:19Zeno threat. Anything you want to add to add
- 1:01:23to this here? I I really would like to see the
- 1:01:26Tavarin. They're apparently serve on
- 1:01:28every UE ship so I'd love to see them.
- 1:01:35Like as serving like. There's a lot of dark history
- 1:01:37with the Tavarin too that comes with lore.
- 1:01:40It's mostly. I love theirs, it's so
- 1:01:42interesting. Yeah, it, it's cool.
- 1:01:45It's very cool. But humanity kind of well, and
- 1:01:49it's just a teensy bit of genocide, but it's, it's, you
- 1:01:53know. They're not serving as cooks.
- 1:01:55They're, you know, pilots. And stuff, yeah, they fit.
- 1:02:01And the whole idea of a culture, right, who, you know, when two
- 1:02:06sides go to war and one wins, the losers basically abandoned
- 1:02:10their culture and, you know, adapt themselves to the winners.
- 1:02:17And obviously when when they were a single species in their
- 1:02:21system, that was fine because they, they were still all
- 1:02:24Tavarin and they maintain their culture.
- 1:02:26And it's, it's an interesting, tragic side effect of their
- 1:02:30unique cultural view that once they lost to the UE, they were
- 1:02:35like, all right, well, screw being Tavarin, we're just going
- 1:02:38to go try and be humans. And the Lord is a second
- 1:02:43xenophobic hate group after Xenothrose.
- 1:02:45Well, there's never a shortage that's.
- 1:02:48True. Is is this the same to barn the
- 1:02:52great authors of the, you know, New York Times bestselling book
- 1:02:59How to Serve Man, a multi volume cookbook?
- 1:03:08Oh shit dude. All right, well you know who's
- 1:03:11got a multi volume cookbook are the headhunters.
- 1:03:14And I did. I did post pretty recently that
- 1:03:16headhunters are cannibals. How do we know?
- 1:03:20That really. Because they eat people.
- 1:03:24How? Do we know that?
- 1:03:26We we've seen like organ farms from them, right?
- 1:03:29Yeah, they have corpses hanging up on beat hooks in their
- 1:03:33villages. Yeah, but that's just to make a
- 1:03:35statement. In their village.
- 1:03:39Are they eating? I mean look, are these actually
- 1:03:43people? I mean, it's all 3D printed.
- 1:03:47So you're saying it, it's just, it's just what you call it, fake
- 1:03:53meat. Well, I mean like so, so so you
- 1:03:56only have like a body printer, right?
- 1:03:58Like you have your Med bed, right.
- 1:04:00But you don't necessarily you can't print a cow in a Med bed,
- 1:04:03but you make do. So you just print out the parts
- 1:04:07you need and and you know, you make them as a jerky by hanging
- 1:04:10them out, you know, things like that.
- 1:04:11Yeah, it's just. Practical, that is dark.
- 1:04:15What? It's efficient.
- 1:04:17Well, while we're talking about cloning, I do have actually some
- 1:04:20cloning news. Kind of related here.
- 1:04:23Tom Brady cloned his dog. Football player did.
- 1:04:28You guys, is this for real? This is real talk.
- 1:04:31This has happened. So that he could eat it.
- 1:04:34It happened like 10 years ago, right?
- 1:04:37No, no, no, no. He cloned his dog like recently
- 1:04:40I think. And he brought.
- 1:04:41Him cloned his dog. As a puppy and.
- 1:04:43Being facetious, but it was recent, yeah.
- 1:04:47Yeah, he, he had a dog. I guess I'm going to it says
- 1:04:50here named Lua and who died in 2023.
- 1:04:55And then they cloned it and its name is Junie.
- 1:04:59And I heard cloning a dog is about $25,000.
- 1:05:04It's nothing for him. Well, it's cheaper than getting.
- 1:05:07Another ex-wife, not that bad. They found a makerspace for a
- 1:05:11year that would like give kids, get STEM training and lead him
- 1:05:15on to great careers. Yeah, but or you could get your
- 1:05:18favorite dog back. Yeah, What's more important?
- 1:05:21I. Mean not.
- 1:05:22Is it the same? Dog, though there's some
- 1:05:24conflict of interest. Because he's been asking the
- 1:05:26questioning. Not even the same dog.
- 1:05:31We're not even talking about Vandool technology to transfer
- 1:05:34the dog's. Cal's the thesis.
- 1:05:35Tom Brady made a choice. He's he's already been through
- 1:05:39the wringer with the ex-wife. I mean, she probably took him
- 1:05:41for everything he's worth. She didn't eat his hand, though.
- 1:05:44She was good. Looking got a designer dog?
- 1:05:48He got himself his dog that loved him through through all
- 1:05:51the the turbulence of his ex-wife and their marriage.
- 1:05:56And you know, he that's keeping them sane, man.
- 1:05:59Got a genetically similar dog, but there's still genetic drift
- 1:06:04and it's still passed through just through like inverter
- 1:06:07fetalization. I mean, it's, it's just a
- 1:06:09different dog. It's just genetically similar.
- 1:06:12And he hits this one less, so that probably effects.
- 1:06:15It mentally. As well, but I mean it costs a
- 1:06:17lot. It's also we're going to a lot
- 1:06:19of dark spaces tonight. 25,000 for him is like money well spent
- 1:06:23on a companion because all of his others are probably costing
- 1:06:27the millions. I don't think somebody has to
- 1:06:33pay for companions these is. Well, no, but you get married
- 1:06:37and then you then you lose her. She's going to want to get paid
- 1:06:40before she goes. You, you know, she made like
- 1:06:44literally like 100 times as much money as him.
- 1:06:47I don't think he. Made.
- 1:06:50White. Yeah, yeah, She made way more
- 1:06:52money than him. Her net worth way more.
- 1:06:56Than he got money from her. Yeah.
- 1:06:58Who had to pay who? No, no, I don't think anyone
- 1:07:00paid anybody in their case. I got Jesus up.
- 1:07:04She's. Worth $400 million.
- 1:07:07Yeah, but I think he's worth more than more than that, Yeah.
- 1:07:09Seven times. He's A7.
- 1:07:10Times he's a world champion. He's worth.
- 1:07:15He's only worth 300 million. Yeah.
- 1:07:18She's worth more than him net worth wise.
- 1:07:22Yep. Plus, I mean, look at her.
- 1:07:26Yeah, she's a model. That's awesome.
- 1:07:29Good for them. I'm happy, I'm happy.
- 1:07:33I'm happy for them both. But does she own a?
- 1:07:36Does she own a professional football team?
- 1:07:38No. My question is how does?
- 1:07:41She get $400 million. But I think the real question
- 1:07:45is, do you think she plays Star Citizen?
- 1:07:48And if she does, what is her favorite ship?
- 1:07:52Oh she's an origin girl for sure.
- 1:07:54I was gonna say origin, yeah. Wow, Drake.
- 1:07:57Origin Yeah, dude, yeah, she's in with the 890 jump.
- 1:08:00What's the biggest? Keepy, Drake and you think?
- 1:08:04No, Tom Brady's also Origin. No, I think it's the other way
- 1:08:07around. I think she's Drake and he's
- 1:08:08Origin. Where are you getting these
- 1:08:11ideas from? From logic, where are you
- 1:08:15getting yours? They're very obviously both
- 1:08:17origin people. No, no, no, no, no.
- 1:08:20She she's got she has origin looks, but a Drake soul, you
- 1:08:24know. Yeah.
- 1:08:27So, and I'll tell you why you don't get $400 million being a
- 1:08:30model without having a Drake soul.
- 1:08:33Exactly. She knows what she's doing.
- 1:08:36Her net worth is more because she got half of Tom Brady's
- 1:08:38money. No, she had that money before
- 1:08:41then. Oh no, I'm reading.
- 1:08:44I'm reading between the lines. I I I make my own reality.
- 1:08:46You need to make your own reality check your.
- 1:08:50Reality and insert my own. At least you're honest about it.
- 1:08:55Listen, I know what's going on here.
- 1:08:58Before the divorce, her net worth was about 400 million.
- 1:09:03And after 600? Still 400 million.
- 1:09:09This is such a weird thing that we're talking about here.
- 1:09:12Yeah, no, no, people like that don't get married without pre
- 1:09:14dubs. Come on.
- 1:09:16Listen, we there's. Certain ridiculous.
- 1:09:18That are important that need to be discussed on the space couch,
- 1:09:21OK. Yeah, and you can have dramatic.
- 1:09:25Impact on on our space game at some point.
- 1:09:29It's irrelevant because after an hour you have like 77, five to
- 1:09:347% of people listen. So.
- 1:09:38If you want, you could say anything you want right now.
- 1:09:39If if you if there was some some type or some group that upsets
- 1:09:44you, you could voice that now safely if there was.
- 1:09:48A. A specific.
- 1:09:50Person that that you, you wanted to, I don't know, like say, say
- 1:09:55some secret that you know about. This would be the time.
- 1:09:59It's so when Jar Jar was out here in LAIII drove home and I
- 1:10:07just want to tell you that he has really, really, really good
- 1:10:10like hey Jar Jar, are you OK with this?
- 1:10:16No, I don't know what you're going to say.
- 1:10:17But it's an interesting case with.
- 1:10:23Me, I don't know what the fuck muscles.
- 1:10:28Muscles, leg muscles. He does have nice leg nozzles
- 1:10:32you. You really, really good
- 1:10:33perspective on Mexican food. There you go.
- 1:10:35Yeah. He did a really good Taco.
- 1:10:38Place so the British don't apparently eat Brussels sprouts
- 1:10:42outside of Christmas. Right.
- 1:10:45It's true. They were so weirded out by our
- 1:10:48Brussels sprouts. They were like Brussels sprouts
- 1:10:49at a BBQ. Oh.
- 1:10:51My God. Brussels sprouts.
- 1:10:54You're talking about the little cabbage looking things.
- 1:10:57Yes, yes. Yes.
- 1:11:01OK, we could not have those. Confused with broccoli so you
- 1:11:05can you can imagine my confusion every time broccoli Rob's name
- 1:11:09comes up. What?
- 1:11:10We can we can only see these vegetables on TV the.
- 1:11:13Shakes are very. Different vegetables. 1.
- 1:11:16Three. One's a tiny habit.
- 1:11:18Listen, listen, I'm a foreigner. Some things you just have to
- 1:11:22give. Me some you can't play.
- 1:11:23That I'm a foreigner and. I'm a foreigner.
- 1:11:25I'm. From the I'm from the South of.
- 1:11:29Germany. Yeah, but you've lived here
- 1:11:32longer than the rest of us have been alive.
- 1:11:35Listen, stop being so ageist. Listen.
- 1:11:39American. That's not what.
- 1:11:40We're through and through, which is like you.
- 1:11:43You belong here. Let's.
- 1:11:45Share some Let's share some more embarrassing things.
- 1:11:47What else we got? Well, no, but real talk back to
- 1:11:51that, I do have really good taste in Mexican food.
- 1:11:54He does. I stand by that.
- 1:11:56Well, OK, OK. If that's the case, I have one
- 1:11:58question. Yeah, Chipotle, yes or no?
- 1:12:02No. Not at these, no.
- 1:12:04Oh. Yeah, Chipotle was like $6 a
- 1:12:08bowl. Stop forget, forget, forget the
- 1:12:11price just yes or no Chipotle the.
- 1:12:13No, no. OK, no.
- 1:12:15So I'm not wrong because I, I had not had Chipotle until like
- 1:12:20four or five weeks ago for the very first time and I.
- 1:12:23Thought it was disgusting. I thought it was disgusting.
- 1:12:29I need to go to Southern California and get some
- 1:12:31Roberto's. Yeah, I mean there are
- 1:12:33obviously, well something like that, but I, I used to travel
- 1:12:35for work a lot and Chai poodle was was like a go to for me
- 1:12:40because it was inexpensive and like relatively healthy in terms
- 1:12:44of fast food and obviously you knew what you were getting, but
- 1:12:49it's definitely gone downhill. Way down.
- 1:12:52I don't know, I don't know. If I mean they've they've been
- 1:12:55involved in a lot of food poisoning incidents.
- 1:12:59So I don't know if the healthy part is there and you?
- 1:13:01Know well that comes down to the food, what the food is and how
- 1:13:05it's prepared. You know, I mean, you, you've
- 1:13:07got people paid fast food worker wages with the same type of
- 1:13:13training and, and general expectations, but then they're
- 1:13:16making like they're cooking actual food, you know what I
- 1:13:19mean? Like they're yeah.
- 1:13:22And definitely has the price everywhere.
- 1:13:24I mean that that's why they had so many food poisoning
- 1:13:27situations. And the food poisoning mostly
- 1:13:28came from just the lettuce. That's just one of.
- 1:13:32The They can't talk Jimmy John's, though.
- 1:13:33No, and that's why Wicked doesn't eat vegetables.
- 1:13:36Need. A vegetable there's plenty of
- 1:13:38restaurants who serve the exact same stuff that never have these
- 1:13:41issues all over the place family owned places.
- 1:13:44I mean, I mean, I mean, I'm in Southern California, so I'm in
- 1:13:46LA and, you know, and, and you know, I mean, like, there's
- 1:13:50plenty of restaurants that serve Chipotle like food and do not
- 1:13:52have the health issues that Chipotle.
- 1:13:54Yeah, that's, but that's the difference between like a
- 1:13:58massive, a massive, what you call it, kind of.
- 1:14:03Corporation like micro? Tech corporation trying to do
- 1:14:06the same things as a local restaurant.
- 1:14:08Are there hers? The the hard thing is the
- 1:14:11consistency. I'm not defending Chipotle.
- 1:14:13I'm just saying like, yeah, like these are the things you have to
- 1:14:15think about. Like that's why it sounds like
- 1:14:17you're defending. Chipotle What?
- 1:14:20About Mother I. I haven't.
- 1:14:21I haven't eaten a Chipotle in about 8 years now I think.
- 1:14:26Yeah. Well, going back to my price
- 1:14:27point, it's like $20 to get anything at Chipotle.
- 1:14:31Well, the same thing with fucking McDonald's.
- 1:14:34I know, and I took you to that fantastic Taco place.
- 1:14:37I mean, it was so good, man. And we had like, duck tacos.
- 1:14:40Yeah, and we chilled out and we held hands across the table.
- 1:14:45Duck Taco? That sounds like some boozy
- 1:14:48nonsense. Taco.
- 1:14:50But it was, you haven't been there.
- 1:14:51It was like a very bougie Taco. Very bougie.
- 1:14:53It was not bougie. What was the first thing I said
- 1:14:56to you when I got to your place? So I was like, oh, nice
- 1:14:58neighborhood, except for all these fucking white people and
- 1:15:01their dogs. Oh, that, that's my
- 1:15:06neighborhood. That's, that's my area.
- 1:15:08That's it's just white people and their dog Central.
- 1:15:12John's wife is like what? Do you do?
- 1:15:14Do you feel like you entered into a different reality?
- 1:15:20No. Do you know where I live?
- 1:15:22Earth X. No, he lives also among white
- 1:15:25people and dogs. Cincinnati.
- 1:15:29We got a lot, we got a lot of the Portuguese, so you know.

- 1:18:09more time just. You know, no.
- 1:18:10No, no, no that. Was really paying well for this.
- 1:18:15That was good that that took a lot of time.
- 1:18:17I remember back in the good old days when we all just, you know,
- 1:18:21loved cruise looks. Well, they dropped us because
- 1:18:25someone said something. Some things that they didn't
- 1:18:28like. Kept saying, Oh no, it doesn't
- 1:18:30have any slam and it doesn't have any slam in it.
- 1:18:33And then we're like trying to reiterate, yes, it does.
- 1:18:36Yes, it does. Oh no, it doesn't have any.
- 1:18:38And all of a sudden consumer confidence in the brand just
- 1:18:40fell because they were checking slam and they're just maybe
- 1:18:43there's not feeling it enough. Maybe they're just tolerant
- 1:18:46high. They just need to drink more.
- 1:18:47It would have been fine. But no, the rumors, Oh no, it
- 1:18:50doesn't have any in it. Listen, listen, listen,
- 1:18:54listeners. Come close.
- 1:18:57I don't want to have to yell about this if you're still
- 1:19:00listening and you're confused, Cruise Lux is a delicious day,
- 1:19:05Global yellow green drink. It's got electrolytes, got
- 1:19:12artificial sweeteners that's just right for you it.
- 1:19:15Has no. Slam in it and it's delicious.
- 1:19:19And it'll it'll never get in the sponsorship.
- 1:19:22It'll cure. Your.
- 1:19:24Your hunger and your thirst all in one fell swoop.
- 1:19:28And the other great thing is, is if you put it in your hand and
- 1:19:33you ever see this guy Anubis, throw it at him.
- 1:19:36Whatever's in your hand, take it out of your hand, put it, put it
- 1:19:40away. And then store your helmet and
- 1:19:43then make sure you're in in in an atmosphere.
- 1:19:46Put it back on in case you're not.
- 1:19:47And then go to a place that has atmosphere.
- 1:19:51There's too many steps. I'm already dead.
- 1:19:53Yeah. All right.
- 1:19:54All right. Well, Joe, look, guys, is, is,
- 1:19:56is is coming. That time that we end the show,
- 1:19:59we can. Go to another Oh I I thought
- 1:20:01this was open comps. Say it ain't so.
- 1:20:05It's. Closing the.
- 1:20:07Comms. We got to close the comms.
- 1:20:08Did we ever hear back from from the fire extinguisher makers if
- 1:20:14if we're going to be able to use those in space?
- 1:20:16Fire Exting. They did.
- 1:20:18I did. Not we did.
- 1:20:20Did did they? Yeah, yeah.
- 1:20:22Remember, yes, floor is was commenting on it that they were
- 1:20:26working on the physicalization of CO2 articles.
- 1:20:31And once they get once they get that, that they have the
- 1:20:34inertial force that they're able to do and they're looking at A
- 1:20:37at a timeline of somewhere around 2029.
- 1:20:41Listen, I looked up this yen slurs on the org chart for.
- 1:20:46Cloud. Imperium yen.
- 1:20:49Sloronzo guy, you know. You know what his what his title
- 1:20:53is? Dreamer.
- 1:21:01A dreamer. LinkedIn profile.
- 1:21:05Everyone had that look before we before we I want to there's like
- 1:21:11a few comments that I just wanted to let you guys know that
- 1:21:13we've got a few comments for some listeners and I want to
- 1:21:18read them out to you guys because I think you you would
- 1:21:20all appreciate some of these. So the first one from last
- 1:21:24episode from Furious Imp is Dude, how is this not the
- 1:21:31highest viewed SC podcast? Well, Furious Imp, let me tell
- 1:21:39you something. We're pretty self aware about
- 1:21:42this one. We we kind of got this pinned
- 1:21:46down. We figured it out.
- 1:21:48Thank. Yeah, thank you for your
- 1:21:49support. But I mean, anyone want to say
- 1:21:51anything to Furious Imp? Thank you.
- 1:21:54Thank you for listening. You.
- 1:21:57Yeah. Thank you.
- 1:21:58Jesus, why? Why go furious I guess would be
- 1:22:01the next thing. Calm down, Yeah.
- 1:22:04Tell your friends about the about the couch and come join us
- 1:22:08some night. You never know what could
- 1:22:10happen. Yeah, but also we're not for
- 1:22:12everybody. What's the worst that can happen
- 1:22:15besides disappointment? And that's why we're so good,
- 1:22:18you know, because we're not for everybody.
- 1:22:20We're not watered down. It's raw, unfiltered.
- 1:22:23We're not censored. It's definitely not.
- 1:22:26Yeah, and most of these guys don't know what the hell they're
- 1:22:29talking about, so it's fine. Right and Zeno threat is great
- 1:22:34calling. This is from underdog SMMO 3
- 1:22:37days ago so we're getting closer.
- 1:22:39Calling an overly authoritarian group of frontier fighters the
- 1:22:43freedom fighters is something lol.
- 1:22:47The headhunters are smugglers. They do not, in fact, eat
- 1:22:51people. There we go.
- 1:22:54Echo All right, heard it here first.
- 1:22:57That one just agree to disagree the.
- 1:23:03And and. Visual.
- 1:23:04Evidence. I think I've established that
- 1:23:06they do not in fact eat people. They just print out the parts
- 1:23:09they need to eat. It's not a person what eat.
- 1:23:14Well, wouldn't you just want to print out the meat itself?
- 1:23:18Like just cut out the the. Extra stuff, right?
- 1:23:21The parts can you, there's like, wait a minute, there's like 1.
- 1:23:24There's like one guy in your group that's constantly printing
- 1:23:26out Dicks to eat or something. And everyone's like, dude, you
- 1:23:28know what? You know you can just, you know
- 1:23:31you can just program steak. Can the Vulture print?
- 1:23:34Meat. Now the Vulture, the Vulture.
- 1:23:38The Vulture should print meat little bite sized.
- 1:23:43Spam cans. More like if you roll up on
- 1:23:45somebody in the Cutty red who's running a a food truck out of
- 1:23:49the back, you got some questions to ask all.
- 1:23:55Right, this one, This next one's targeted at a very specific
- 1:23:59member of the couch here. I won't say who, but maybe you
- 1:24:02can figure it out at J Dodds 1612 writes calling yourself
- 1:24:07Hobo then acting too good for the ship.
- 1:24:13New moniker Cause Hobo is exactly what the ship embodies.
- 1:24:18Oh. Yeah.
- 1:24:21Damn shots fired. Broadside direct call out.
- 1:24:24Pass anesthetic. He's in the ship, he just keeps
- 1:24:27the door open. It goes right through.
- 1:24:30All right, he passed. He passed it pass.
- 1:24:36He passed. He passed he's.
- 1:24:38AI don't want to get his ban. Oh how banned from what?
- 1:24:45I said open comms, man. Yes, open comms.
- 1:24:48You have the protected by the openness.
- 1:24:53At Colby Wan Shinobi writes, I agree the Shiv is the best bang
- 1:24:59for buck daily driver in the game right now.
- 1:25:01It's everything the Cuddy black should be.
- 1:25:03I'm loving it. Once they nerf the
- 1:25:06maneuverability, which is inevitable in my opinion, then
- 1:25:09it will go into the junk pile of all the rest of the mediocre
- 1:25:13ships in the game. Aesthetically the only fail is
- 1:25:16the stupid bucket thing. Everything else is actually
- 1:25:19pretty cool and well done. The weird Scooby-doo flower
- 1:25:22power skin is actually great too.
- 1:25:26Well, Colby Watch Nobi couldn't disagree more.
- 1:25:31Toilets. I pretty on par.
- 1:25:33I I I I normally like that people want to participate with
- 1:25:37us and like to make comments, but in this one completely off
- 1:25:41the mark. I I I the bucket is the best
- 1:25:44part of the Shiv and to say that it's garbage and ruins the
- 1:25:49whole, you know, just just turn off whatever we Spotify.
- 1:25:54I don't know what you're listening, just off go.
- 1:25:57I don't need you. The bucket is I don't want my
- 1:26:00ship full with floating floating ship I.
- 1:26:02Totally agree with that. The bucket is no.
- 1:26:05There's a gravity field. It would be applicable for the.
- 1:26:07Ship, yeah, but considering you get knocked over every time you
- 1:26:12know your pilot holds a couple extra G's, that bucket of of
- 1:26:15frothy human waste is going to be all over the place.
- 1:26:21Duke to that I have one word, immersion.
- 1:26:26Well, yeah, you're going to be immersing yourself.
- 1:26:27You're. Going to be immersed, real.
- 1:26:29Good, good choice, good choice of words.
- 1:26:34Unbelievable. Any more judge there?
- 1:26:36Yeah, I got I got a couple more for you.
- 1:26:38One is from Meme Dog 27. Oof.
- 1:26:41That piece of. Garbage rights, right?
- 1:26:43How dare those level designers not work on engineering.
- 1:26:47Yeah, how dare they. How dare they?
- 1:26:52That's it. Full choice.
- 1:26:53You all agree. All agree.
- 1:26:56And then wolf last one then wolf 1916 What about bounty hunting 2
- 1:27:02point O what about the bandu merchant man a lot of what about
- 1:27:06and where is it and even got a bin full of why does this not
- 1:27:10work like. Elevators, doors, hangers,
- 1:27:12inventories. It's an alpha for a reason.
- 1:27:15In quotations, it's not an excuse, it's an insult.
- 1:27:20Sounds like one of her regular. Sounds like someone who plays.
- 1:27:25So bounty hunting 2 point O, they kind of like dropped off
- 1:27:29the ball once. The We're not looking for real
- 1:27:31answers here. Anubis this.
- 1:27:32Is this is that was just? This is just an opportunity to
- 1:27:36share our feelings about. This is breaking out.
- 1:27:39The mutual abuse that we all share.
- 1:27:42They they, they just wanted to ride that Disney Plus.
- 1:27:45Yeah, he just, he's someone's just looking for a hug.
- 1:27:48That's all this is. This is a case of fuck you Star
- 1:27:52Citizen. I'll see you tomorrow.
- 1:27:55Yeah, or, or in an hour. Once, once.
- 1:27:58Once you've eaten and you're like, you know what?

- 1:28:02time. You get shot and then just give
- 1:28:08me the guy in Global. Yeah, that's where I get a lot
- 1:28:12of my anger. All right, well, this is the end
- 1:28:15of the show. We're not going to take it to
- 1:28:16the two hour mark. We're not going to do a double
- 1:28:18show. We're going to end it right here
- 1:28:20today. We're going to end the show the
- 1:28:22way. And every show we go reverse
- 1:28:25order on the couch. Duke, put your pants back on.
- 1:28:30Murphy, Jack. Anything.
- 1:28:32You want to say to Chris Roberts, Star Citizen or the
- 1:28:34people on the Internet? Oh.
- 1:28:38Chris Roberts, you're not the only one that's got scope creep.
- 1:28:42Oh. What is that about?
- 1:28:44It's just a reality. Was that like a like a sniper
- 1:28:47threat or something? Like he's creeping up with his
- 1:28:49scope. Yeah, can we stop threatening
- 1:28:52the G devs? It's been a few episodes now.
- 1:28:56Yeah. Scope creep.
- 1:28:59Scope the scope of the project, not an actual all.
- 1:29:03Right, all right. I get it.
- 1:29:06OK, OK, OK. But it sounds more funny if it
- 1:29:08was ominous. So, you know, go for the joke.
- 1:29:12No, it's too late. Who was next?
- 1:29:15Wicket. Wicket.
- 1:29:16Anything you want to say to CIG? Chris Roberts of the People on
- 1:29:18the Internet. I've got lots to say, but who's
- 1:29:22got the time and or the energy anymore?
- 1:29:25All I can tell you is, is that OK?
- 1:29:29My disappointment. Is running eats your vitamins
- 1:29:32kept lost exercise? He did get introduced as the
- 1:29:35oldest Star Citizen, so. Yeah, yeah, I'm not.
- 1:29:40I'm nowhere near the oldest Star Citizen.
- 1:29:42That guy died. Everyone make sure you get, you
- 1:29:43know, see your doctor regularly. That guy died plenty of water.
- 1:29:48Who do you think it is now? It couldn't be me, man.
- 1:29:54There's some really old dudes, I've seen them.
- 1:29:57Wicked died months ago too. Inside.
- 1:30:02That's like when I I was a little kid and my grandpa was
- 1:30:05like, yeah, there's this old guy down the street and my mind
- 1:30:08fucking burst. Well, what do you?
- 1:30:10Isn't this my time to talk? Right, right.
- 1:30:14Next. Next.
- 1:30:15No, no, I'm sorry, Wicked continue.
- 1:30:18Yeah, go ahead. That's all I had.
- 1:30:21Yeah, OK. All right, Cosmic Hobo, change
- 1:30:26your name. Anything you want to say to
- 1:30:28Chris Roberts, CIG or the people on?
- 1:30:32The Internet give us lots of good ships for IE.
- 1:30:35Oh, we. Didn't even I wanted to fucking
- 1:30:39talk about the ships. I totally forgot.
- 1:30:41Next stop. Save it for the next episode.
- 1:30:43We we're clearly in a little bit of a drought for content right
- 1:30:46now because we've got freaking Xenothraz, our sponsors.
- 1:30:51All right, but you're not allowed on the show anymore.
- 1:30:53I can't have that. I mean a.
- 1:30:57Lot of negative attitude man. I can't have.
- 1:30:59That. Like talking shit about our
- 1:31:01sponsor like that. Well, there there is a there is
- 1:31:06another sponsor that I that I. Have Nope, not today.
- 1:31:09No, not now. Not now.
- 1:31:11Called Citizens for Prosperity. We're waiting the sticks.
- 1:31:14We're gonna. Say to CIG, Chris Roberts are
- 1:31:17the people on the Internet. See y'all and Knicks.
- 1:31:21There you go. Too short.
- 1:31:22Sweet. I like it.
- 1:31:23Lord Anubis, anything you want to say to CIG, Chris Roberts or
- 1:31:26the people on the Internet? The smartest I'd like to read a
- 1:31:28statement by the citizens of prosperity.
- 1:31:30God fuck. Fuck mute, I have to do it, you
- 1:31:34do. It's the law, yeah.
- 1:31:36It's the end thing, yeah. The UE Supreme Court said Pyro
- 1:31:42is now ours. Her star and stripe may already
- 1:31:45be said to have taken their place in the glorious blazing of
- 1:31:48our common nationality. Other peoples have undertaken to
- 1:31:51intrude themselves in a spirit of hostile interference against
- 1:31:54us for the avowed object of thwarting our policy and
- 1:31:57hampering our power, limiting our greatness and checking the
- 1:32:00fulfillment of our Manifest Destiny to overspread the Galaxy
- 1:32:04allotted by Providence for the free development of our yearly
- 1:32:09multiplying millions. This we have seen done by lesser
- 1:32:14humans, degenerates who think they understand liberty.
- 1:32:17But give us reasons to get rid of them, and we will.
- 1:32:25Is that CFP? Yeah, that's the real 1.
- 1:32:28You didn't hear about that? That's not like.
- 1:32:30That's who they they, they just they, they just.
- 1:32:32Revealed me they were. It took her Derbs.
- 1:32:36That's what that sounds, yeah. It's like a Canadian.
- 1:32:41It's, I think it's Andrew Jackson, but I don't know.
- 1:32:43Chat. JPT.
- 1:32:45Did you did you pull in Andrew Jackson speech?
- 1:32:47I've been talking about eliminating Native Americans or
- 1:32:49something. Trail of Tears.
- 1:32:51Was that a Trail of pro Trail of Tears speech?
- 1:32:53It's manifest destiny, it wasn't trail of.
- 1:32:56Tears, that was. Actually coined by God.
- 1:32:59I was just reading a book on this ace tier.
- 1:33:06Who was it? The term Manifest Destiny.
- 1:33:08Yeah, we're getting close. We're getting close, Georgia.
- 1:33:12Yeah, what we're. Saying is never trust anything
- 1:33:15because the truth of the matter is is you never know who they're
- 1:33:21hurting. Make sure that you align
- 1:33:23yourself with people who care about others.
- 1:33:26OK, It was coined in 1845 in the United States Magazine and
- 1:33:31Democratic Review. OK.
- 1:33:34Yeah. So it wasn't.
- 1:33:36That's not Teddy. Roosevelt.
- 1:33:38Yeah, well, it wasn't Andrew Jackson, actually.
- 1:33:40Wouldn't, couldn't have been. Yeah, he would have been a baby
- 1:33:45anyway. Duke, we.
- 1:33:46Did it? What?
- 1:33:47What? Did we do?
- 1:33:49We got everybody. Yeah, we, we got everybody.
- 1:33:53We, we did the show. We did the Zeno threat thing,
- 1:33:55our new replacement sponsor. We talked.
- 1:33:58We, we, we made the time, we did it.
- 1:34:03All right, go us. Yeah, you want to play us out?
- 1:34:07You. Know what I think?
- 1:34:12I think my ISP is acting up again.
- 1:34:16Oh. How convenient.
- 1:34:18All right. There's an ointment for that.
- 1:34:21Let's do you know who's never played us out before is E6E6.
- 1:34:26Why don't you play us out? And make it good.
- 1:34:31I don't know what you're talking about.
- 1:34:33Hurry, we we need a musical outro.
- 1:34:37You like a song? Oh I I don't know any songs.
- 1:34:45Can you hum? I can't end the show until.
- 1:34:50Somebody, somebody has to hum. It it's the law, this.
- 1:34:53Is almost a Daily Echo. Let's.
- 1:34:58Go it's the idea. I I don't know any songs.
- 1:35:03You're looking like you're being put on the spot here, no?
- 1:35:04Murphy, Jack. Murphy, Jack.
- 1:35:05You've never done it right. Murphy, Jack.
- 1:35:07Echo suit can. You do a song.
- 1:35:13This is fucking dead air now. This is OK.
- 1:35:15All right, all right. I'll do it on Murphy's behalf.
- 1:35:18It. Was going so well.
- 1:35:19It was going so well. I'll do it on Murphy's behalf.
- 1:35:23All right, wicket, Wicket, yeah. What more strange jokes?
