- 0:08Speaker 1: Jags are a big matchup this weekend as they head
- 0:10Speaker 1: to Houston to take on the Texans. What is your guys'
- 0:12Speaker 1: biggest concerns on Sunday besides CJ's route.
- 0:15Speaker 2: Well, I'll go with eighty six Dalton Schultz, their tight end.
- 0:17Speaker 2: When you watch the tape, you see that he's the
- 0:19Speaker 2: safety valve, the security blanket, the guy who helps that
- 0:23Speaker 2: quarterback when things get rough and they need to extend
- 0:25Speaker 2: a drive.
- 0:26Speaker 3: Watch out for Dalton Schultz on Saturday.
- 0:28Speaker 4: A revived Texans running game which Jaguars have to stop.
- 0:49Speaker 1: Welcome to jag Zam on this Wednesday before Thanksgiving. I'm
- 0:52Speaker 1: tay Nannie Stevens, Brian Sexton, John Osier with me as
- 0:55Speaker 1: we get ready for the Texans game on Sunday. It's
- 0:57Speaker 1: going to be a big one for the Jaguars. We'll
- 0:59Speaker 1: start out with our first big thing today, which is Texans,
- 1:03Speaker 1: not Titans. We know Jags fans like to hate on
- 1:05Speaker 1: the Titans, and that's fair. I think we all hate
- 1:07Speaker 1: on them a little bit, but the Texans may be
- 1:09Speaker 1: the team that we need to shift our focus to
- 1:12Speaker 1: for the coming future of seeing how good this team
- 1:14Speaker 1: has been able to be at as quickly as they've
- 1:16Speaker 1: been able to do that. Doug Peterson talked a little
- 1:18Speaker 1: bit earlier this week about the matchup.
- 1:21Speaker 5: I mean, it's game eleven, but they're all they're always big, right,
- 1:24Speaker 5: I mean, meantime you play your your division, they're all
- 1:26Speaker 5: big games and and you know, obviously we understand what
- 1:31Speaker 5: this team did to us, you know, a few weeks back,
- 1:33Speaker 5: and it's it is another you know game on the schedule,
- 1:39Speaker 5: a lot of football ahead still, but you know it's big.
- 1:43Speaker 5: I mean, you don't ever want to go h and
- 1:46Speaker 5: two against a Division four, you know, any any year obviously,
- 1:51Speaker 5: but our guys, you know, our guys will respond again,
- 1:55Speaker 5: you know, are just much likely did this week.
- 1:57Speaker 3: It's gotta take.
- 1:58Speaker 5: It's going to take a good week of prep and
- 1:59Speaker 5: they're their film study and and all that, but great
- 2:03Speaker 5: opportunity then as gonna be lowed. You know, they're playing
- 2:06Speaker 5: extremely well. We are too, and it should be a
- 2:10Speaker 5: good matchup.
- 2:11Speaker 1: Certainly should be a good match up. Brian, do you
- 2:13Speaker 1: think this is the time that we should probably shift
- 2:15Speaker 1: some of our focus in terms of what our rival
- 2:17Speaker 1: is in the division and maybe focus on the Texans
- 2:19Speaker 1: a bit.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Look the numbers say it right.
- 2:22Speaker 2: I mean, the Titans are there because they were here
- 2:24Speaker 2: earlier than the Texans, and they gave the Jaguars their
- 2:27Speaker 2: first ever loss in their first ever game. And of
- 2:29Speaker 2: course no one will ever forget nineteen ninety nine. But
- 2:32Speaker 2: these Texans have won twelve of the last thirteen and
- 2:35Speaker 2: seventeen to the last twenty.
- 2:37Speaker 3: And I get it.
- 2:37Speaker 2: They've had great players through the years. Andrew Johnson, JJ Watt,
- 2:40Speaker 2: Arian Foster. I mean, you can name them, but you know,
- 2:43Speaker 2: in the last two seasons, they haven't been as good
- 2:46Speaker 2: as the Jaguars, at least not on paper. The roster's
- 2:49Speaker 2: not supposed to be as good, and they have beaten
- 2:51Speaker 2: them twice in Jacksonville. This to me is the natural
- 2:55Speaker 2: rivalry for the Jaguars.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Yeah, you mentioned focus, and maybe that's what what it is,
- 3:00Speaker 4: because I feel like in the last three games since
- 3:04Speaker 4: Doug Peterson and this team has been together, the Jaguars
- 3:07Speaker 4: should have beaten the Texans all three times, and they
- 3:09Speaker 4: dusted him last year when they were focused at the
- 3:12Speaker 4: end of the season.
- 3:13Speaker 6: They've given away two games against the Texans.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Frankly, the touchdown or the interception in the end zone
- 3:19Speaker 4: last year thrown by Trevor Lawrence, and then this year,
- 3:22Speaker 4: twenty seven points went the Texans way off turnovers. I'm
- 3:24Speaker 4: gonna say it all week and people get tired of
- 3:26Speaker 4: hearing me say it. Play your game and play the
- 3:29Speaker 4: way the Jaguars can, and they win this game.
- 3:31Speaker 1: The way the Jaguars play leads into our big thing,
- 3:33Speaker 1: number two turnovers on the menu. Jaguars defense is at
- 3:36Speaker 1: their best when they stop the run, and they forced turnovers,
- 3:39Speaker 1: and that seems like that might be out there for
- 3:41Speaker 1: the taking because CJ. Stroud had gone quite a long
- 3:43Speaker 1: streak to start the season, hit start his NFL career
- 3:46Speaker 1: without having a turnover, but he had three last week,
- 3:48Speaker 1: three interceptions last week against the Cardinals. So John, when
- 3:51Speaker 1: you're looking at something like this, is this the game
- 3:53Speaker 1: where we can kind of get to a rookie quarterback
- 3:55Speaker 1: and hopefully get some takeaways because the Jags are very
- 3:59Speaker 1: successful and they get to away is not as successful
- 4:01Speaker 1: when they don't.
- 4:01Speaker 6: Well it's supposed to be.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I feel like it's sort of the same game as
- 4:04Speaker 4: last week, except it gets a better team. The Jaguars
- 4:07Speaker 4: should be able to stop.
- 4:09Speaker 6: This Texans running game.
- 4:11Speaker 4: It's been good last couple of weeks, meaning the Texans
- 4:13Speaker 4: running game, but the Jaguars are the third best defense.
- 4:15Speaker 6: The NFL agains to run and that feels real to me. CJ.
- 4:19Speaker 4: Stroud throws the ball downfield a lot, and as a rookie,
- 4:22Speaker 4: when you throw, when you throw the ball downfield a lot,
- 4:25Speaker 4: that gives more time for interceptions. It should give more
- 4:29Speaker 4: time in the pocket to get to them. There was
- 4:31Speaker 4: a reason there were no sacks last time, Brian. They
- 4:34Speaker 4: didn't allow the Jaguars much pass rush because they kept CJ.
- 4:37Speaker 4: Stroud on short drops. Yeah, I think this is the
- 4:41Speaker 4: game they get to Stroud.
- 4:42Speaker 6: It should be.
- 4:43Speaker 4: This is a takeaway team and got none. The logic
- 4:47Speaker 4: tells you it's going to get some on Sunday.
- 4:48Speaker 2: I'll use the number that we talked about last week.
- 4:50Speaker 2: And it's strange, but the Jaguars in the last twenty
- 4:53Speaker 2: games in which they have not forced a turnover have
- 4:55Speaker 2: not won.
- 4:55Speaker 3: That's twenties three losses in those games.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Look, this offense played better last week, put up more points,
- 5:00Speaker 2: look more efficient, but they're still struggling on third down
- 5:03Speaker 2: and there were there's two red zone possessions in the
- 5:05Speaker 2: first half, Guy where they had a chance to blow
- 5:07Speaker 2: this game out of the water and have it over
- 5:09Speaker 2: at halftime, and they missed. So until this offense finds
- 5:13Speaker 2: the rhythm or the tempo, or however you want to
- 5:15Speaker 2: describe it, the defense needs to give them more possessions
- 5:19Speaker 2: and better field position, shorter fields. That's what they've done
- 5:22Speaker 2: twenty times this year, and that's what they need to
- 5:25Speaker 2: keep doing.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Our final big thing today is going to be QB comparison.
- 5:29Speaker 1: C J. Stroud has been getting a ton of love
- 5:31Speaker 1: nationally rightfully, so he's having one of the best rookie
- 5:33Speaker 1: campaigns we've seen from a quarterback in quite some time.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Tim Peterson talks about what he's seen on tape and
- 5:38Speaker 1: in person.
- 5:41Speaker 5: I mean very impressed for a rooky quarterback to come
- 5:45Speaker 5: in and you know, perform at this level. The way
- 5:51Speaker 5: he's thrown the ball, I just really admire his poise.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Quite frankly, he's putting the ball where he wants to
- 6:00Speaker 5: put it, meaning it's very accurate throws. You know, he's
- 6:05Speaker 5: got the ability to to escape and move and still
- 6:09Speaker 5: keep his eyes down the field. I think that's a
- 6:12Speaker 5: that's a unique trait for a young quarterback to be
- 6:15Speaker 5: able to do, you know, and they're shooting the ball
- 6:20Speaker 5: down the field. You know, they're making making big plays
- 6:23Speaker 5: down the field. And it's just what you see is
- 6:27Speaker 5: it's gaining it's gaining confidence each week in him and
- 6:31Speaker 5: his team. You know, that's a that's a reflection of coach,
- 6:35Speaker 5: you know, Ryan Demko, and just been really impressed with him, Brian.
- 6:41Speaker 1: The Daggs are the victim of c J. Stroud and
- 6:43Speaker 1: what he's been able to do in week three. How
- 6:45Speaker 1: do they not fall victim to that this time around?
- 6:47Speaker 1: And how does our quarterback, now that Trevor Lawrence is
- 6:50Speaker 1: kind of getting in the groove a little bit, show
- 6:51Speaker 1: what he's made up.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Well, let me start this answer with Shakespeare's great quote
- 6:55Speaker 2: about comparison.
- 6:55Speaker 3: He called it the thief of joy.
- 6:57Speaker 2: You spend so much time trying to see what the
- 6:59Speaker 2: other guy's got, you don't focus on how good your
- 7:01Speaker 2: quarterback is and vice versa. I just think this is
- 7:04Speaker 2: a great quarterback rivalry that we'll see in this division
- 7:07Speaker 2: and I'm really looking forward to it. As far as
- 7:09Speaker 2: how the Jaguars attack, well, I think they do attack.
- 7:12Speaker 2: They didn't have a lot of tape. It was just
- 7:14Speaker 2: the third start for CJ. Stroud, now we've seen how
- 7:17Speaker 2: they set up him on offense and how they use
- 7:19Speaker 2: the running game and what he does, and the Jaguars
- 7:22Speaker 2: will try to use that against him. They'll try to
- 7:25Speaker 2: be very confusing to the young quarterback and get pressure.
- 7:28Speaker 2: And I think one guy who's playing well in terms
- 7:30Speaker 2: of putting pressure on the quarterback does still have the
- 7:32Speaker 2: sacks John, But the last couple of games, Trayvon Walker
- 7:35Speaker 2: has been around the quarterback and causing problems, and I
- 7:37Speaker 2: think he comes into this game with an opportunity on
- 7:39Speaker 2: Sunday to have a big game.
- 7:41Speaker 4: If I'm only halfway in my coffee, so I'm not
- 7:43Speaker 4: going to quote Shakespeare a bit. I'll quote myself by
- 7:47Speaker 4: saying what I've said all week about the Jaguars. If
- 7:50Speaker 4: they communicate in the back end. They gave up two
- 7:53Speaker 4: touchdowns on communication against the Texans. Without those, it's a
- 7:56Speaker 4: twenty three seventeen game. It's a dramatically different game. I'm
- 8:01Speaker 4: telling you the Jaguars hurt themselves as much as Stroud
- 8:04Speaker 4: hurt them in Week three.
- 8:05Speaker 6: I agree they're gonna get a little bit of pressure.
- 8:07Speaker 6: I think they can get better.
- 8:08Speaker 4: I think they can get better pressure with a base
- 8:10Speaker 4: pass rush because Trayvon Walker is playing well, but communicating
- 8:14Speaker 4: the back end and Shakespearean theme.
- 8:16Speaker 6: Or not, I think the Jaguars win the game. You know,
- 8:19Speaker 6: it's interesting.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Also, I talked to foy luikin I know you did
- 8:21Speaker 2: two in the locker room, and he talked about those
- 8:23Speaker 2: communications issues and he said they've got to work on
- 8:27Speaker 2: those on the practice field this week. It's not something
- 8:29Speaker 2: that you can just rely on when you get into
- 8:32Speaker 2: the game. They remember to talk, right, You've got to
- 8:34Speaker 2: play by play, be able to communicate, and in particular
- 8:38Speaker 2: with Andre Cisco, because it's Cisco who is the quarterback
- 8:41Speaker 2: of this defense, the guy on the deep third who
- 8:44Speaker 2: is going to be out there with those speed receivers
- 8:47Speaker 2: Nico Williams and Tank Dell who are going to be
- 8:50Speaker 2: running down the field like they did here, So they're
- 8:51Speaker 2: gonna have to be able to communicate.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Communication is key. Stay with us here on Jagsam. We'll
- 8:56Speaker 1: be right back after the break as we go over
- 8:58Speaker 1: who we think some of the stars of the game
- 8:59Speaker 1: will be on Sunday is Welcome back to jaggs A.
- 9:06Speaker 1: I'm here today get things going. For ten years, Dreamfinders'
- 9:09Speaker 1: Homes has been proud to call themselves the official homebuilder
- 9:12Speaker 1: of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Visit dreamfinders homes dot com for
- 9:15Speaker 1: all of the available inventory and go Jaguars back here today,
- 9:20Speaker 1: we're talking Texans all day, so let's take a look
- 9:22Speaker 1: at who we think might be some of the you
- 9:25Speaker 1: know Notsir's stars, but will have a big impact on
- 9:27Speaker 1: the game as we look forward. I think Andre Cisco
- 9:31Speaker 1: Brian so you're gonna go He's gonna have a big
- 9:33Speaker 1: impact one way or another.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Form Why he will, he won't, he might.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I'm going with Cisco, and Cisco will be the guy
- 9:39Speaker 2: who determines if Jaguars get those takeaways. This quarterback will
- 9:43Speaker 2: put the ball up. He did three times last week,
- 9:45Speaker 2: including one of the first half, and he has four
- 9:47Speaker 2: times in the.
- 9:48Speaker 3: Last two games.
- 9:49Speaker 2: And Cisco is that guy who early on in the
- 9:51Speaker 2: season was around almost every takeaway. Look, he got beat
- 9:55Speaker 2: last week with the miscommunication on the deep route to
- 9:57Speaker 2: DeAndre Hopkins. And he's the guys who had to miss
- 10:00Speaker 2: communication on Tank Dell's forty eight yard completion to set
- 10:03Speaker 2: up a touchdown back in week three. I think Cisco
- 10:05Speaker 2: will turn it around and be a much more effective
- 10:08Speaker 2: communicator with the front seven this week against C. J.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Stroud, and that doesn't mean necessary. I don't know that
- 10:15Speaker 3: he will come up with a takeaway.
- 10:16Speaker 2: It doesn't always happen that way, but if he does,
- 10:19Speaker 2: he's the kind of guy with the athletic ability with
- 10:22Speaker 2: the vision to take a big play and take it back.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So maybe he grabs a pick six love.
- 10:30Speaker 6: Six prediction b lock it down.
- 10:31Speaker 1: I hope they have a celebration ready to go. I'm
- 10:33Speaker 1: sure they do. Probably got more than one at this point. John,
- 10:36Speaker 1: whom you got this week are you looking at?
- 10:37Speaker 4: I went with Evan Ingram. He will, I think be
- 10:42Speaker 4: an important part of the game plan. It's so hard
- 10:45Speaker 4: in this offense to be the main guy these days
- 10:50Speaker 4: because there's five different guys that they can feature. So
- 10:55Speaker 4: when you say main guy, he won't necessarily have a
- 10:59Speaker 4: one hundred yard game out of that focus because I
- 11:03Speaker 4: think that's still going to be left to Calvin. Really,
- 11:04Speaker 4: I think Calvin really has a huge game on Sunday,
- 11:07Speaker 4: But Evan might score his first touchdown of the season,
- 11:09Speaker 4: and that I'd say it's been frustrating him, but he's
- 11:14Speaker 4: waiting for it. I think maybe, like the Tennessee game
- 11:19Speaker 4: up there last year. I think you might see Evan
- 11:22Speaker 4: up toward one hundred yards with a little bit more
- 11:26Speaker 4: downfield than he's had so far this year. He's been
- 11:28Speaker 4: sort of the bailout guy a little more than he
- 11:31Speaker 4: was last year.
- 11:32Speaker 6: I think he might be featured a little bit more
- 11:33Speaker 6: this week.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Brian, I love to see an Evan Ingram game. He
- 11:36Speaker 1: always kind of surprises you when he goes off a
- 11:39Speaker 1: little bit, and that's an usually good thing for the
- 11:40Speaker 1: offense because that means for having a good day. Well.
- 11:42Speaker 4: When the other team forgets about him, he's really dangerous.
- 11:46Speaker 6: He's very good.
- 11:48Speaker 4: When he's the focal point and when he's being guarded,
- 11:51Speaker 4: but there's sometimes it's hard to always guard everybody.
- 11:55Speaker 6: Don't forget about him.
- 11:56Speaker 2: He might have had a big touchdown catch last week
- 11:59Speaker 2: if Trevor I'd led him on that ball on the
- 12:01Speaker 2: sideline instead of thrown a shore.
- 12:04Speaker 1: Where could have been? Where could have been? We'll have
- 12:06Speaker 1: to find out this although he was Jay Jones this
- 12:09Speaker 1: week for my pick. If he will, he won't. He might.
- 12:11Speaker 1: We saw him back in action last week for the
- 12:13Speaker 1: first time since he's been dealing with that injury. I
- 12:15Speaker 1: think he will be a key in getting a change
- 12:19Speaker 1: here in the third down problems that this team has
- 12:21Speaker 1: been having. And that's just because he's in safety valve
- 12:24Speaker 1: first harbor. Lawrence. Obviously we talked and saw a lot
- 12:26Speaker 1: of how Calvin Ridley benefited from the return. I don't
- 12:29Speaker 1: think Zay Jones he won't leave the team in catches.
- 12:32Speaker 1: I think Calvin will still be kind of a main focus,
- 12:34Speaker 1: especially since they've got that timing down after last week
- 12:36Speaker 1: and those two touchdowns, So I think that will still
- 12:39Speaker 1: remain a focus. But he might find the end zone
- 12:41Speaker 1: because if he's at dafety valve on third down and
- 12:43Speaker 1: kind of can help them get the chains moving, he
- 12:46Speaker 1: might end up being in the target and the end
- 12:47Speaker 1: zone when they get down in the red zone and
- 12:49Speaker 1: they have those third down problems as well. Brian, I
- 12:51Speaker 1: know you're hoping they could switch over on the third
- 12:53Speaker 1: down problems.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it's been a problem.
- 12:55Speaker 1: Hadn't been great, all right? Say with us coming up,
- 12:57Speaker 1: we'll do a little this or that with you after
- 12:59Speaker 1: the break here in Ta say, price dot com is

- 13:12Speaker 1: triveprice dot com today, this Rice dot com presenting this
- 13:21Speaker 1: or that for us today is we try to compare
- 13:23Speaker 1: a couple of things. See what we think might happen
- 13:25Speaker 1: in the game. Brian, what are you looking at when
- 13:27Speaker 1: it comes to Week twelve against the text?
- 13:29Speaker 3: Real simple?
- 13:29Speaker 2: Is it the AFC South Title game? Or is it
- 13:32Speaker 2: just game eleven?
- 13:34Speaker 3: Week twelve?
- 13:37Speaker 1: John, what do you think?
- 13:39Speaker 4: I don't think it's AFC's South Title game, but I
- 13:43Speaker 4: think it might be if the Jaguars win it. And
- 13:45Speaker 4: I guess what I mean by that is if the
- 13:47Speaker 4: Texans win, it's still tied, and everybody says, well, the
- 13:50Speaker 4: Jaguars schedule is so tough, the Texas schedules soft, they
- 13:53Speaker 4: would pull away. The reality is, if the Jaguars lose
- 13:56Speaker 4: this game and they go five and one the rest
- 13:59Speaker 4: of the season tess to go four and two, then
- 14:01Speaker 4: this game really wasn't a big deal except for seeding.
- 14:05Speaker 4: So it's big, don't get me wrong, But I'm not
- 14:08Speaker 4: sure it's the title game. If the Jaguars win it,
- 14:12Speaker 4: it might be because it's two games.
- 14:13Speaker 2: I saw an Oddsmaker series. The Jaguars win, they have
- 14:15Speaker 2: a ninety percent chance of winning the Vision.
- 14:17Speaker 6: There's a lot of ground to make up if the
- 14:18Speaker 6: Jaguars win.
- 14:18Speaker 1: I think it might be more problematic if they don't win,
- 14:21Speaker 1: only because of the implications of what that has going forward.
- 14:24Speaker 1: This team, we know has had issues not bouncing back
- 14:28Speaker 1: because they've bounced back a well from a lot of
- 14:30Speaker 1: their losses. But I think sometimes when the confidence gets
- 14:34Speaker 1: in there, that can be a problem for them. So
- 14:35Speaker 1: that would be more my someone has your number sort
- 14:37Speaker 1: of thing, younger quarterback team in the division, that would
- 14:40Speaker 1: be my concern probably, But.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Well, I think the Texans win this, then it becomes
- 14:45Speaker 4: a huge storyline when they play next year because all
- 14:47Speaker 4: of a sudden, this is the team that has your number,
- 14:50Speaker 4: so to speak. So it's important for that. I went
- 14:53Speaker 4: with the biggest concern, biggest position group for the Jaguars
- 14:58Speaker 4: is it the secondary or the defensive line, And there
- 15:02Speaker 4: was so much talk after that first Houston game at
- 15:05Speaker 4: the defensive line no sacks against the beat up offensive line,
- 15:08Speaker 4: with the Texans have only given up eleven sacks since
- 15:12Speaker 4: giving up eleven in the first two games, the offensive
- 15:15Speaker 4: line was not as bad as it looked in the
- 15:18Speaker 4: first two games, so I think the biggest, the most
- 15:21Speaker 4: important area of the Jaguars defense is the secondary. Darius
- 15:25Speaker 4: Williams gave up two long touchdowns in that first game.
- 15:28Speaker 4: He has had an outstanding season, two plays in that
- 15:30Speaker 4: game were probably his two worst plays of the year.
- 15:34Speaker 4: I've been saying it all week. I'm a broken record
- 15:36Speaker 4: on it. Communicating the back end, and that game's a
- 15:39Speaker 4: lot different. I think communicating in the back end, the secondary,
- 15:42Speaker 4: how they play. CJ's going to take shots at you.
- 15:46Speaker 4: How you pass that test will decide this game.
- 15:48Speaker 3: And the Dragars might be without CJ. Tyson Campbell against CJ. Stroud.
- 15:52Speaker 3: We don't know what his status is going to be.
- 15:54Speaker 2: I'm sure Dougall say later today, day to day, right,
- 15:57Speaker 2: and he'll be listed as questionable if not out. So
- 16:00Speaker 2: you're going to go with Buster Brown again, and he's
- 16:01Speaker 2: played well at times this year. However, last week there
- 16:04Speaker 2: were a couple of moments where they were able on
- 16:06Speaker 2: the few passes they completed to make him back off
- 16:09Speaker 2: a little bit. On DeAndre Hopkins and Nico Collins is
- 16:11Speaker 2: another big receiver.
- 16:12Speaker 1: It's the secondary for me too, and it kind of
- 16:14Speaker 1: stinks because I feel like even the players that have
- 16:16Speaker 1: gone in like Buster Brown or whoever else. They've stepped
- 16:18Speaker 1: up and they've played really well. Unfortunately, it's that one play, right,
- 16:22Speaker 1: which is the nature of the position. But when you're
- 16:24Speaker 1: giving up that one huge play two maybe three times,
- 16:26Speaker 1: that's the difference in a game, and that was the
- 16:28Speaker 1: difference in some of their games, and they gave up that.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Cisco gave up that long play to the Titans last week,
- 16:33Speaker 1: So that's a little bit concerning. So communication. Hopefully that
- 16:36Speaker 1: comes together a little bit and we don't see a
- 16:38Speaker 1: lot of those. And if you take away the home
- 16:39Speaker 1: run ball, then that kind of takes away a lot
- 16:41Speaker 1: of the Texans game, So that'll be good. I went
- 16:43Speaker 1: with offense for mine of who we think might be
- 16:46Speaker 1: a breakout star breakout Day saw Trevor Lawrence kind of
- 16:49Speaker 1: get going two touchdowns on the ground, two touchdowns throwing
- 16:52Speaker 1: last week. But Eatn has been the mainstay in this
- 16:55Speaker 1: offense throughout the year. So who do we think might
- 16:58Speaker 1: have a bigger day on Sunday? John, Who are you
- 17:01Speaker 1: looking at that might do a little bit better on offense?
- 17:03Speaker 6: Well, it's hard.
- 17:05Speaker 4: I love Etn and this isn't really him. It's hard
- 17:09Speaker 4: to pick him to have a breakout day because they
- 17:12Speaker 4: have struggled so much for consistency in the running game,
- 17:16Speaker 4: because the offensive line just hasn't blasted out very many holes.
- 17:19Speaker 4: So if I'm gonna pick a breakout day, I'm always
- 17:21Speaker 4: gonna pick Trevor in this because he has a better
- 17:23Speaker 4: chance to do it. If ETN has a breakout day,
- 17:26Speaker 4: they win the game.
- 17:27Speaker 2: I'll take Travis. He had a sixty two yard touchdown run.
- 17:30Speaker 2: I think it was sixty two yards in Houston last year.
- 17:33Speaker 2: The game, it was early, the Didjagwars blew them out,
- 17:36Speaker 2: but it was a statement play and I think he's
- 17:38Speaker 2: capable of delivering that. Also, the offensive line played better
- 17:42Speaker 2: last week. I would expect Walker little inside to continue
- 17:48Speaker 2: to get better playing a position that he's never really played.
- 17:50Speaker 2: And I don't think that this defensive line, although they're okay,
- 17:54Speaker 2: you know, Sheldon Rankins, got to get underneath you and
- 17:57Speaker 2: fill some gaps. I think they should be able to
- 17:59Speaker 2: find some holes in this defensive line and be able
- 18:02Speaker 2: to run the ball.
- 18:03Speaker 3: And you know what it is with.
- 18:05Speaker 2: Trevor Or part of the Travis it's you know, two
- 18:08Speaker 2: and a half yards two and a half yards twenty
- 18:09Speaker 2: five yards, right, I think that's gonna be available to
- 18:11Speaker 2: him on Sunday.
- 18:13Speaker 1: Well, I hope both of them go off, But selfishly,
- 18:14Speaker 1: I like Trevor to just to see a little bit
- 18:16Speaker 1: of a shootout. I think that might be fun for us.
- 18:18Speaker 1: But you know, I know John doesn't like the drama.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I like. I like the drama. The last second win,
- 18:22Speaker 1: that's always fun for me. Say with us, we'll preview,
- 18:24Speaker 1: I have our final previews, and we'll pick who we
- 18:25Speaker 1: think is gonna win on Sunday in Houston. JAG's fans,

- 18:57Speaker 1: We found out that JP's a green Bean castrole guy yesterday,
- 19:00Speaker 1: which I didn't I wouldn't have pegged him for, but
- 19:03Speaker 1: so that's his go to side, John, Where's where are
- 19:06Speaker 1: you at on Thanksgiving? You're just chilling on the couch.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Someone else is cooking, Yeah, someone else is definitely cooking.
- 19:13Speaker 6: Yeah. I mean, I love the meal.
- 19:17Speaker 4: I'm not a great, big fan of any red food,
- 19:19Speaker 4: so cranberry sauce beats all that stuff I can do without.
- 19:23Speaker 4: Beyond that, I'll take anything comes my way.
- 19:25Speaker 3: I love to cook, and I love everything about this holiday.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I'll go to Public's late tonight and fight for the
- 19:30Speaker 2: last can of yams.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I mean, I'm kidding, but I just, I just I
- 19:34Speaker 3: love it. I love it.
- 19:35Speaker 2: It's football, it's family. It's my favorite week of the year.
- 19:39Speaker 2: And I will be cooking two turkeys, smoking one, frying another,
- 19:43Speaker 2: and I just I enjoy that whole process.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Absolutely, all the things we love all wrapped up in one.
- 19:47Speaker 1: As we look a little bit ahead to that Texans
- 19:49Speaker 1: game on Sunday, it's gonna be a great week altogether.
- 19:52Speaker 1: You think the JAG's come out with a win in
- 19:53Speaker 1: this one, Brian, I do, and it's because I think
- 19:56Speaker 1: they were better football team, right.
- 19:58Speaker 3: I mean c J.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Stroud has in a revelation this year, but he's turned
- 20:01Speaker 2: the ball over six times the last two weeks. Denigo
- 20:03Speaker 2: Ryans is a Coach of the Year candidate with an
- 20:06Speaker 2: offensive Rookie of the Year candidate playing for him. They've
- 20:09Speaker 2: done a lot of really good things. I think the
- 20:10Speaker 2: Jaguars learned a big lesson against the forty nine ers,
- 20:14Speaker 2: and they are very mindful of the fact that they
- 20:17Speaker 2: have to play their best football every Sunday from here
- 20:20Speaker 2: on out.
- 20:21Speaker 3: You can't have a down moment.
- 20:23Speaker 2: And I just got the sense talking to guys in
- 20:25Speaker 2: the locker room this week that they're prepared for this,
- 20:27Speaker 2: and so I think they come away with a win.
- 20:29Speaker 2: It might come down to a field goal at the end.
- 20:30Speaker 2: They've got a strong legged kicker, so be it just come.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Away with a win.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm guessing the players went back sort of just
- 20:37Speaker 4: like I did this week, and realized they gave the
- 20:41Speaker 4: game away in Week three, even though it was a
- 20:43Speaker 4: twenty point game, they drove inside. They had three drives
- 20:47Speaker 4: that didn't inside. It didn't end inside. The Texans fifty
- 20:51Speaker 4: one was an interception, one was the last drive of
- 20:53Speaker 4: the game, and one was on the forty six. They
- 20:56Speaker 4: never had a three and out. It was a twenty
- 20:59Speaker 4: seven points on turnovers and you had two mental areas
- 21:02Speaker 4: I'm talking about you had a field goal block, you
- 21:04Speaker 4: had a field goal missed. Don't do those things. Just
- 21:09Speaker 4: play smart and relatively error free, and you're the better team.
- 21:13Speaker 4: I'm not saying it's gonna be easy. The textans are coming,
- 21:15Speaker 4: but I think that lesson will have them focused knowing, hey,
- 21:19Speaker 4: if we don't play well, these guys will beat us.
- 21:21Speaker 6: If we do, we're fine.
- 21:22Speaker 4: So I think that makes it a game where you
- 21:25Speaker 4: can play your game, not have to press, just do
- 21:27Speaker 4: what you do.
- 21:28Speaker 2: And this is the time of year Ki, you know,
- 21:29Speaker 2: late November Thanksgiving, where the contenders separate themselves in the NFL.
- 21:34Speaker 2: And the Jaguars believe they're a contender and they have
- 21:36Speaker 2: a quarterback who plays really well in this situation based
- 21:39Speaker 2: on what we saw last year, I expect him to
- 21:41Speaker 2: come out and play really well also, and I think
- 21:44Speaker 2: that's the difference.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Here's hoping for Jaguars win this holiday weekend. We wish
- 21:48Speaker 1: you all happy Thanksgiving and enjoy it with your families
- 21:50Speaker 1: and your friends and enjoy the game on Sunday. We'll
- 21:52Speaker 1: be back here on DIAXAM on Monday to recap
