- 0:07Speaker 3: Chemist Warehouse, helping you spoil Dad This Father's Day. Hello,
- 0:11Speaker 3: good morning. It's Wednesday. You've got Mikey, you've got Nat here.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Morning.
- 0:13Speaker 3: Filling in for Amy.
- 0:15Speaker 4: You know, I'm driving in this morning, Nat, and I
- 0:18Speaker 4: noticed there's some cameras again down the front, a couple
- 0:21Speaker 4: of reporters, and they must be here for your big announcement.
- 0:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Oh, yes, the big announcement I made on socials last night.
- 0:27Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, go on. Repeat it.
- 0:30Speaker 6: I'm pregnant.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Nut is pregnant, everyone.
- 0:32Speaker 7: Woo!
- 0:35Speaker 4: I was out recording an interview at about 6 p.m.
- 0:38Speaker 4: last night and Chelsea was there and my girlfriend was
- 0:42Speaker 4: texting me, Nat.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:43Speaker 4: And she goes, oh, Nat's pregnant. And I was like, yeah,
- 0:46Speaker 4: what makes you think that? I thought she was just gossiping.
- 0:49Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 0:49Speaker 4: She goes, oh, something she said on air the other day.
- 0:51Speaker 4: She kept on saying, no, she's pregnant. No, she's pregnant.
- 0:53Speaker 3: I'm like, look. I don't think she is, but I'll
- 0:56Speaker 3: find out. I didn't realize she was telling.
- 0:58Speaker 1: Me that I actually announced it. I'm surprised no one
- 1:02Speaker 1: around here picked up on it. And I wonder if
- 1:04Speaker 1: any listeners did actually, because it all started with the
- 1:06Speaker 1: quitting vaping.
- 1:08Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:08Speaker 3: That's what made, when, when I saw the announcement after.
- 1:11Speaker 1: That, of course I had to quit vaping. Um, In
- 1:16Speaker 1: all honesty, I'd love a vape right now, but I
- 1:18Speaker 1: just can't have one.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I've got one here. I don't do it at all.
- 1:21Speaker 3: I just found one.
- 1:22Speaker 10: You just have one.
- 1:22Speaker 3: One lying around. It happens to be on the desk.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I genuinely don't feel like it, but yeah. No, so
- 1:27Speaker 1: I quit vaping. Also, other things that people around the
- 1:30Speaker 1: office might have noticed, I... My second coffee of the
- 1:33Speaker 1: day has turned into a decaf coffee. And when I
- 1:35Speaker 1: first said, can someone get me a decaf? Everyone out
- 1:37Speaker 1: there was like, what?
- 1:38Speaker 6: A decaf? But just no one connected the dots.
- 1:42Speaker 3: Hang on. I didn't know about that. You can only
- 1:44Speaker 3: have one coffee when you're pregnant?
- 1:46Speaker 6: It's not based on like amount of coffee.
- 1:48Speaker 1: It's based on the caffeine intake for the day.
- 1:50Speaker 6: So I have a large in the morning, which has
- 1:52Speaker 6: two shots.
- 1:53Speaker 1: And then I also throughout the day have like maybe
- 1:55Speaker 1: a Coke Zero, which also has caffeine.
- 1:57Speaker 6: It's just like, you don't want to have too much caffeine.
- 1:59Speaker 4: The other thing is I haven't heard you go, oh,
- 2:01Speaker 4: they had such a big weekend lately.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:04Speaker 1: And look, and one of the things that actually tipped
- 2:06Speaker 1: Chelsea off was the fact that on my Instagram, I
- 2:09Speaker 1: was trying to cover it up because I was like, oh,
- 2:11Speaker 1: maybe people are noticing. So I tried to throw everyone
- 2:13Speaker 1: off and I'd been posting a few cocktails, but they
- 2:15Speaker 1: were mocktails.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Oh, loser.
- 2:17Speaker 6: And then Chelsea's like, she's covering something up here. Why
- 2:20Speaker 6: is she just posting cocktails?
- 2:21Speaker 3: A lot of cocktails.
- 2:22Speaker 1: And also she's like, you could tell the cocktail was
- 2:24Speaker 1: a mocktail because it didn't have like salt around the
- 2:26Speaker 1: rim and.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Stuff like that.
- 2:28Speaker 4: So yesterday in tradie versus lady, one of the questions
- 2:31Speaker 4: was progesterone.
- 2:32Speaker 3: And you really shut me down when I said, is that,
- 2:34Speaker 3: is that, I don't know. I don't know. I don't
- 2:37Speaker 3: know anything about pregnancy. Doth protest too much. I'm like,
- 2:40Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 2:40Speaker 6: Ask him. Why would I know?
- 2:41Speaker 1: It's so awkward because you don't want to deny too much.
- 2:44Speaker 1: And then someone in the office the other day said, oh,
- 2:46Speaker 1: I want a baby. We should, someone in the office
- 2:48Speaker 1: needs to have a baby. And I was like, oh,
- 2:50Speaker 1: your turn.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Cause I was like, oh shit. You're projecting too much there.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm a really bad liar. So anyway, it's out
- 2:56Speaker 1: there now and I feel better about it.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Well, if you want to go and see the announcement,
- 2:59Speaker 3: go to Nat's Instagram.
- 3:00Speaker 6: Nat Penfold.
- 3:01Speaker 10: Yep.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Dingy. How are you feeling, Nat? Lucky?
- 3:03Speaker 1: Ah, look, it sucks. Pregnancy, I'm not going to pretend. Like,
- 3:07Speaker 1: who are those women that say, I loved pregnancy?
- 3:10Speaker 6: Like, they're liars. It sucks.
- 3:12Speaker 1: It just depends on what kind of way it sucks
- 3:14Speaker 1: for you.
- 3:15Speaker 6: Like, a lot of women, I don't know about your partner, Sean,
- 3:16Speaker 6: because she's pregnant at the moment.
- 3:18Speaker 3: Yep.
- 3:18Speaker 1: But I didn't get really bad nausea or morning sickness.
- 3:22Speaker 1: But mine was, like, extreme fatigue. Like, I'm struggling to sleep,
- 3:27Speaker 1: which makes this job very difficult. But also just, like,
- 3:31Speaker 1: I think the worst thing is just you feel gross.
- 3:34Speaker 1: You're gaining weight. I feel bloated everywhere. And, like, TMI,
- 3:38Speaker 1: I'm really constipated, everyone.
- 3:39Speaker 3: LAUGHTER You need more coffee. Stop the decaf. I'm on Metamucil.
- 3:44Speaker 3: It's a whole thing, guys.
- 3:46Speaker 6: It's not attractive being pregnant.
- 3:48Speaker 3: You're going to get hemorrhoids, you know.
- 3:50Speaker 10: You are.
- 3:50Speaker 3: First you get constipated, then you get hemorrhoids.
- 3:52Speaker 10: Yuck.
- 3:53Speaker 1: But yeah, no, I've had a lot of people that
- 3:55Speaker 1: have been very lovely. But some people's responses to the
- 3:57Speaker 1: news have been very interesting.
- 3:59Speaker 6: And I'm going to tell you more about that later
- 4:00Speaker 6: this morning.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Oh, there's some bitches out there, is there?
- 4:03Speaker 6: Yeah, interesting responses.
- 4:04Speaker 3: All right, we'll get to that.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Of course, big news broke at about 4 a.m. I
- 4:09Speaker 4: heard it as I got in the car, Sean. Big
- 4:11Speaker 4: legend Dolly Parton.
- 4:12Speaker 6: Yeah, music legend Dolly Parton. She's died at the age
- 4:15Speaker 6: of 80.
- 4:15Speaker 11: Her nephew made the announcement this morning.
- 4:17Speaker 6: It was only like two hours ago. Yeah, I woke
- 4:20Speaker 6: up and it had just broke.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Very sad. Hey, everyone.
- 4:24Speaker 2: My name is Brian Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and
- 4:27Speaker 2: I'm representing the Parton and Owens family today announcing the
- 4:31Speaker 2: passing of my Aunt Dolly, Rebecca Parton-Dean. sister, sis, aunt
- 4:35Speaker 2: granny to one generation and Gigi to the next. This
- 4:38Speaker 2: video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago
- 4:41Speaker 2: before I fully absorbed it as a future reality. As
- 4:44Speaker 2: her head of security for more than two decades, a
- 4:46Speaker 2: role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined
- 4:49Speaker 2: the heaviness of this moment but haven't truly felt it
- 4:51Speaker 2: until now.
- 4:52Speaker 3: I mean, she was 80, but do we know what happened?
- 4:54Speaker 11: No, there's no info there, but I'm sure that'll come
- 4:58Speaker 11: out as the days continue.
- 5:00Speaker 6: But, gee, she was a big.
- 5:02Speaker 11: Name and big hits to Jolene, 9 to 5.
- 5:06Speaker 6: Also wrote I Will Always Love You.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yeah. By Whitney.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Well, she sung it originally, but then Whitney redid it
- 5:12Speaker 1: and it kind of became bigger.
- 5:13Speaker 6: But, yeah, no, she was an absolute icon. I loved
- 5:16Speaker 6: Dolly Parton. I love Dolly.
- 5:17Speaker 3: You couldn't hate her. It's not someone.
- 5:19Speaker 6: Didn't she lose her husband not too long ago as well?
- 5:22Speaker 6: March 2025.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Yeah, lost her husband last year and they'd been married for,
- 5:26Speaker 1: correct me if I'm wrong, like 60 years.
- 5:28Speaker 4: You know, that quite often happens. You hear of couples
- 5:30Speaker 4: that have been together a long time. One of them goes,
- 5:32Speaker 4: not long after the other one goes.
- 5:34Speaker 6: I genuinely believe you can die of a broken heart.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Like, because you just become weaker as a person because
- 5:41Speaker 1: you don't have your other half.
- 5:42Speaker 6: Yeah, it's really sad.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Very sad. We are going to play a dolly track
- 5:46Speaker 3: to honour a life. I've picked..
- 5:48Speaker 6: Which one?
- 5:49Speaker 3: Nine to five. Oh, okay. Classic. Yep. You can do
- 5:51Speaker 3: another one later if you want.
- 5:52Speaker 6: I like Jolene as well, but that's all right. Nine
- 5:54Speaker 6: to five is also very good.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Nine to five. We'll kick the show off with that.
- 5:57Speaker 3: And let's tell you what's on today.
- 5:58Speaker 4: So thousands to be won every day with a pop
- 6:00Speaker 4: quiz playing at seven and eight. Giving you the chance
- 6:03Speaker 4: to drive away in a brand new car. We'll do
- 6:05Speaker 4: that in the next 25 minutes.
- 6:07Speaker 6: Also, we have the intervention.
- 6:08Speaker 1: So one of our listeners is going to confront her
- 6:10Speaker 1: friend who's been sleeping with a married man and she
- 6:14Speaker 1: does not think.
- 6:15Speaker 6: That she should be.
- 6:16Speaker 4: Okay yeah that's all on the way let's do tradie
- 6:18Speaker 4: versus lady win that robo rock q revo edge 2
- 6:22Speaker 4: pro it is the mop and vacuum in one worth
- 6:25Speaker 4: over 2k call in you want to play tradie versus
- 6:29Speaker 4: lady and here we go.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Dolly Parton playing here on Kids.
- 6:35Speaker 1: There's a piece of advice from a men's mentor, Coach Wes,
- 6:38Speaker 1: that's going viral at the moment.
- 6:40Speaker 6: In fact, he's saying.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Don't listen to this advice because it's something that people
- 6:45Speaker 1: say to you whether you're starting a new job or
- 6:48Speaker 1: meeting new people or dating. It seems to be the
- 6:51Speaker 1: advice that everybody always gives you, but he says it
- 6:55Speaker 1: is completely wrong advice.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Okay.
- 6:58Speaker 6: Take a listen.
- 6:59Speaker 12: Just be yourself is trash dating advice. Because if women
- 7:02Speaker 12: reject you constantly and you're not getting results, then it's
- 7:05Speaker 12: clear that you suck. Now you can argue with reality
- 7:08Speaker 12: all you want, but that is the brutal truth, man.
- 7:10Speaker 12: If you are not getting results in your dating life,
- 7:12Speaker 12: then it's obvious that you need to change.
- 7:14Speaker 3: It's not that hard, man.
- 7:15Speaker 12: You just need to give up on ideas that are
- 7:17Speaker 12: clearly not working for you. And you need to start
- 7:19Speaker 12: becoming that man that women actually want.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Look, it's so true. That be yourself. Like for me, fine.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Because I'm like a stud and I've always pulled women.
- 7:28Speaker 3: Vomit. No, but I've got a mate who is terrible.
- 7:32Speaker 4: He's really bad with women, and maybe he shouldn't be
- 7:35Speaker 4: himself because it ain't working.
- 7:38Speaker 6: But I also think be yourself. I understand the advice
- 7:42Speaker 6: of just be yourself. There's no one else you can be.
- 7:44Speaker 6: Maybe you could improve on yourself.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Put your best forward.
- 7:48Speaker 6: But also, if there's elements of you that are shit,
- 7:51Speaker 6: you should be fixing them. So just be yourself. If
- 7:53Speaker 6: you're rude to waiters, just be yourself.
- 7:55Speaker 3: No, don't. Improve that.
- 7:56Speaker 6: Improve that and actually do better.
- 7:57Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 7:58Speaker 1: But I wonder at what stage of a relationship you
- 8:01Speaker 1: actually do be your full self. Because when you're dating,
- 8:04Speaker 1: like there's no way I'm sitting on a first date
- 8:07Speaker 1: or I was sitting across from my fiance now being
- 8:10Speaker 1: my full self.
- 8:11Speaker 6: I would have been being a bit more ladylike. I
- 8:13Speaker 6: would have been a bit more gentle.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Not the usual bush pig. No, I wouldn't have been.
- 8:18Speaker 6: Acting like that. You know what I mean?
- 8:19Speaker 1: So at some stage there must be where you just
- 8:22Speaker 1: feel comfortable. I can't pinpoint my moment where I just went, ah,
- 8:25Speaker 1: you know what, he sees everything. And I think maybe
- 8:27Speaker 1: when we moved in together he kind of saw it.
- 8:30Speaker 3: That's when he saw the toilet the way you left it.
- 8:35Speaker 1: If anything, it's when he saw my nagging and all
- 8:38Speaker 1: the moods and everything.
- 8:39Speaker 6: But do you know when yours was in your relationship?
- 8:41Speaker 4: Yeah, it's funny because I've actually, like I dated my
- 8:44Speaker 4: girlfriend briefly and then we stayed in contact. So I've
- 8:46Speaker 4: known her for a long time, but we didn't really
- 8:49Speaker 4: hang out romantically.
- 8:51Speaker 10: Yes.
- 8:51Speaker 3: But I know when it is. You know how I
- 8:53Speaker 3: had to get my car fixed? Oh, yes.
- 8:55Speaker 6: This was a whole saga last week because you had
- 8:57Speaker 6: to drive your mum's red.
- 8:58Speaker 3: Subaru to work. I hated that.
- 9:00Speaker 4: But she was in the car with me and I
- 9:03Speaker 4: was reversing it into a really tight spot.
- 9:06Speaker 3: I thought I'd made it.
- 9:07Speaker 4: Then I started going forward and I just tipped the
- 9:11Speaker 4: back of a car.
- 9:12Speaker 6: Yeah, it's the worst feeling.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I lost my shit.
- 9:16Speaker 6: Like yelling?
- 9:16Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 9:18Speaker 6: At yourself, though.
- 9:19Speaker 3: You've seen me angry. You've known me a long time.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You generally go at work, though. Maybe you compose yourself.
- 9:24Speaker 1: You generally go silent. Like, I can see you're fuming. But, yeah,
- 9:27Speaker 1: I mean, you can get lippy as well. So you
- 9:29Speaker 1: were just yelling, like, profanities?
- 9:31Speaker 6: Well, that's interesting.
- 9:32Speaker 4: I got lippy and very angry. Because I was angry
- 9:34Speaker 4: at myself. I hit the car.
- 9:35Speaker 3: What am I doing?
- 9:36Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 9:36Speaker 4: And then after that, we were going for this long walk.
- 9:38Speaker 4: And I was just so pissed off that I went silent.
- 9:41Speaker 6: Yeah, okay.
- 9:42Speaker 3: So I reckon that's where she saw the real me.
- 9:44Speaker 6: I wonder if in that moment she thought, ugh.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Yeah, well, what's it going to be like during stressful situations?
- 9:50Speaker 3: Well, that's me.
- 9:51Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 9:51Speaker 3: Take it or leave it. And, you know, I haven't
- 9:53Speaker 3: heard from her since.
- 9:54Speaker 6: And that was four weeks ago.
- 9:57Speaker 3: All right, birthday wheel, let's do it. it.
- 10:01Speaker 10: 31065.
- 10:02Speaker 3: If it's your birthday today, the 26th of August, your
- 10:06Speaker 3: birthday will always be the day that Dolly Parton died.
- 10:08Speaker 3: So remember that.
- 10:08Speaker 6: Oh, that sucks.
- 10:09Speaker 3: But also don't forget. Although not really because in America
- 10:11Speaker 3: it's what day?
- 10:12Speaker 6: It's the day before.
- 10:13Speaker 3: So it's not.
- 10:14Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 1: You know that actually mum's birthday is the 12th of September.
- 10:18Speaker 1: But it's when the news broke here.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 10:22Speaker 6: For September 11th.
- 10:23Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:23Speaker 6: So I always remember that attached to her birthday.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Because of your mum's birthday, yeah. That's coming up soon,
- 10:28Speaker 3: by the way. Yeah, it is.
- 10:29Speaker 6: Just dates work like that. They roll around.
- 10:31Speaker 3: Christmas after that. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:33Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:35Speaker 1: Also, just by spinning the wheel, if you get on air,
- 10:38Speaker 1: you also go in the running to win a brand
- 10:40Speaker 1: new car. It's a Cherry Tiggo 4 Urban SUV. School runs,
- 10:44Speaker 1: coffee runs, and weekend fun. Discover the Cherry Tiggo 4
- 10:47Speaker 1: with a test drive at Cherry Ride.
- 10:48Speaker 5: All right.
- 10:49Speaker 3: All right, so if it's your birthday today, call through,
- 10:51Speaker 3: spin our wheel, go in the draw to win a
- 10:54Speaker 3: brand new car, 131065. We're doing it next.
- 10:58Speaker 7: K-I-I-S.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Yeah, first calls now, 131065. If you want to have
- 11:03Speaker 3: a chat, Karin. Hello, Karin.
- 11:06Speaker 8: Hi.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Hello, Karin.
- 11:07Speaker 6: I have a question for you before you speak to us.
- 11:09Speaker 1: Is your name Karin, but you go with Karin so
- 11:11Speaker 1: you don't get all the Karin stuff?
- 11:14Speaker 10: Absolutely not. It's always been Karen. It's spelt differently.
- 11:17Speaker 13: It's an I-N.
- 11:19Speaker 6: Ah, okay, Karen.
- 11:20Speaker 3: You are safe.
- 11:21Speaker 6: What did you want to talk about?
- 11:23Speaker 10: I actually called for the birthday wheel, but I've been
- 11:26Speaker 10: lucky enough to speak to you guys instead, and it
- 11:28Speaker 10: was about Dolly. To hear that she passed on my
- 11:32Speaker 10: birthday is very sad.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Yeah, so that will be forever in your memory for
- 11:36Speaker 4: the rest of your birthdays, that it was the day
- 11:39Speaker 4: Dolly died.
- 11:40Speaker 10: Yeah, but she was such an iconic person and full
- 11:43Speaker 10: of life and just so bubbly and exciting all the
- 11:46Speaker 10: time that I think that she was a real role
- 11:48Speaker 10: model for a lot of women just to keep going
- 11:50Speaker 10: because she just did it till the end.
- 11:51Speaker 3: Well, we were saying today there is no one that
- 11:54Speaker 3: could dislike Dolly Parton.
- 11:55Speaker 1: No, because not only was she mega talented, but you're right,
- 11:58Speaker 1: she was one of those celebrities who actually was a
- 12:00Speaker 1: really great role model for women.
- 12:02Speaker 4: You know, I heard one of 12... We know you're
- 12:06Speaker 4: pregnant today, Nat.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Well, for the next nine months.
- 12:09Speaker 6: Not just today, unfortunately.
- 12:10Speaker 3: But we found out today. But, yeah, could you imagine
- 12:13Speaker 3: having 12 children?
- 12:14Speaker 6: She has 12. No, no, no.
- 12:16Speaker 3: She was one of 12.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, but that was that generation. Like, my grandparents were
- 12:20Speaker 1: one of 12 and things like that.
- 12:21Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 12:21Speaker 3: She was born in, like, a really poor part of America,
- 12:24Speaker 3: so that's when.
- 12:25Speaker 6: They had a lot of kids. And then look at
- 12:26Speaker 6: her go.
- 12:27Speaker 5: Dolly.
- 12:27Speaker 3: You got a favourite dolly? Yeah.
- 12:30Speaker 10: Oh, sorry. You mean the song?
- 12:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:35Speaker 10: You played..
- 12:36Speaker 3: Nine to Five.
- 12:37Speaker 10: Nine to Five. That always gets me pumping, but Jolene
- 12:39Speaker 10: is one of the best. Oh, Jolene.
- 12:42Speaker 6: Jolene, Jolene, Jolene.
- 12:47Speaker 3: I'm begging of you, please don't take my man. You
- 12:50Speaker 3: know she did a song with Pitbull? What?
- 12:52Speaker 10: What?
- 12:53Speaker 3: I'm just having a look at the music library here.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Can we hear it? Yeah, we're going to.
- 12:57Speaker 6: I hope this doesn't ruin her honour.
- 12:59Speaker 3: It's called..
- 13:01Speaker 6: What is it called?
- 13:02Speaker 3: Powerful Woman. Oh, okay. Let's hear it.
- 13:06Speaker 14: Okay.
- 13:07Speaker 6: Oh, it's a mashup.
- 13:09Speaker 9: Oh, okay.
- 13:09Speaker 10: Is that people in the background?
- 13:12Speaker 14: No, that was me.
- 13:12Speaker 7: Sorry.
- 13:24Speaker 3: What the hell is that?
- 13:25Speaker 6: Oh, did you hear it? Nine to five. Come on, people.
- 13:30Speaker 6: It's not bad.
- 13:31Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:32Speaker 3: It's not good.
- 13:33Speaker 1: It's not the best Dolly we've heard, but she was
- 13:35Speaker 1: an icon, and yeah, it is awful that she's passed.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Cara and I agree with you.
- 13:38Speaker 3: Okay, Ali, you're on.
- 13:40Speaker 14: Hello.
- 13:40Speaker 10: Hey, guys.
- 13:42Speaker 3: What's up, man?
- 13:45Speaker 5: Oh.
- 13:47Speaker 3: He's got the worst phone in the world.
- 13:49Speaker 6: He does, yeah. When I think about what the worst
- 13:52Speaker 6: phone in the world sounds like, it's that.
- 13:54Speaker 3: It sounds like that, yeah.
- 13:55Speaker 14: Sorry, guys, I'm currently driving.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Oh, you're right, mate. You're back. You're here. What do
- 13:58Speaker 3: you want to say? Yeah, so I just wanted to
- 14:02Speaker 3: refer to that little accident you had, Mike.
- 14:04Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 14:05Speaker 3: The reverse.
- 14:06Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, you told the story earlier where you reversed
- 14:08Speaker 6: into a car and then lost your cool, and it
- 14:10Speaker 6: was the first time that your girlfriend had really seen
- 14:13Speaker 6: you lose your cool.
- 14:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I'd actually reversed in fine. It's when I tried
- 14:16Speaker 4: to straighten it up. I just banged the back of
- 14:18Speaker 4: this ute, had some giant tow bar thing. And it's like, honestly,
- 14:22Speaker 4: it was nothing.
- 14:23Speaker 6: And you'd think you were in a car, like an
- 14:25Speaker 6: old car. But no, yours has reverse sensors.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Multiple. A camera. Front sensors.
- 14:29Speaker 6: And I think it even self-parks.
- 14:31Speaker 3: It does, yeah.
- 14:31Speaker 6: There was no excuse.
- 14:33Speaker 3: No, there wasn't. I blame the sensors. The sensors didn't
- 14:35Speaker 3: pick it up when I took it to Merck to
- 14:37Speaker 3: get it fixed.
- 14:38Speaker 6: Oh, Merck.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah. They said it won't pick up things that are
- 14:43Speaker 3: slightly above it. But yeah, I totally lost my shit.
- 14:45Speaker 6: That's not very good then. But anyway, Ali, what did
- 14:47Speaker 6: you want to say about it?
- 14:49Speaker 10: So it reminds me of a little story of, so
- 14:51Speaker 10: one day I finished work.
- 14:52Speaker 3: It was just a long day. Yeah.
- 14:54Speaker 10: I ended up falling asleep at the intersection. So I
- 14:56Speaker 10: got two cars. I got a manual and I got
- 14:58Speaker 10: an auto. That day I was driving the auto.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 15:00Speaker 5: And then I heard a beep, instantly woke up, went to.
- 15:04Speaker 10: Shift gears, forgot I was in an auto, I hit
- 15:06Speaker 10: reverse and I just smacked the car straight behind me.
- 15:09Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 15:10Speaker 1: So wait, you were stopped at a set of traffic
- 15:12Speaker 1: lights or something? Because a car wouldn't just go into
- 15:14Speaker 1: reverse while you're moving, right?
- 15:16Speaker 5: No, no, so I was up at the lights, had
- 15:18Speaker 5: my foot on the brake, and then as I heard
- 15:21Speaker 5: the beep..
- 15:22Speaker 10: I've gone to change gears and I've put the car
- 15:24Speaker 10: in reverse accidentally.
- 15:25Speaker 6: Arlie, that sucks.
- 15:26Speaker 1: But micro-sleeps, like if you've had a big day in
- 15:29Speaker 1: our job, obviously, sometimes if we go to bed too
- 15:31Speaker 1: late and we're driving at that time of morning, no
- 15:33Speaker 1: other cars on the road.
- 15:34Speaker 6: You're like in autopilot. It's dark. I've had a micro-sleep.
- 15:37Speaker 6: It's the scariest thing in the world.
- 15:38Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, they're dangerous.
- 15:39Speaker 6: Anything can happen. If your eyes are closed for even
- 15:42Speaker 6: one second, you could be gone.
- 15:44Speaker 3: What I get out of you is you're one of
- 15:45Speaker 3: these guys that puts it in park when you're just
- 15:47Speaker 3: stopped at the lights. You're one of them. Sometimes, yeah. Really? Yeah,
- 15:53Speaker 3: I've seen a lot of cab drivers do it.
- 15:55Speaker 6: Is it just because it means you don't have to
- 15:57Speaker 6: have your foot in the brake?
- 15:58Speaker 3: And you can have your nap.
- 15:59Speaker 6: But a nap at a set of traffic lights is
- 16:01Speaker 6: not long enough.
- 16:02Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 16:02Speaker 4: And then there's the people that drive an auto using
- 16:05Speaker 4: both feet.
- 16:07Speaker 3: What? Oh, you don't know these people?
- 16:09Speaker 10: What?
- 16:10Speaker 3: I know. It's like they're driving a bloody..
- 16:12Speaker 6: Like a go-kart.
- 16:13Speaker 3: A go-kart, yeah. You're taught not to do it. Yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 3: of course. Yeah.
- 16:17Speaker 4: So you'll notice sometimes you're driving behind someone. And it
- 16:21Speaker 4: looks like their brake lights are on.
- 16:22Speaker 6: While they're accelerating. And I always wonder how that's possible.
- 16:25Speaker 3: That's why.
- 16:25Speaker 4: They're resting their left foot on the brake. Yeah, there
- 16:28Speaker 4: literally are people that drive with both feet in auto.
- 16:31Speaker 6: Oh, wow.
- 16:32Speaker 5: Idiots.
- 16:32Speaker 3: Yeah. If that's you right now, you're an idiot. Agreed.
- 16:36Speaker 3: Celeb news coming up. What do you got?
- 16:37Speaker 6: I do have celeb news.
- 16:38Speaker 1: Now, remember earlier this year there was a huge scandal
- 16:41Speaker 1: in the AFL between Lockie Neal and cheating on his
- 16:46Speaker 1: wife with her best friend.
- 16:48Speaker 3: Yeah, big one.
- 16:49Speaker 10: Yes.
- 16:49Speaker 1: So the wife has come out and told her side
- 16:53Speaker 1: of the story, told us more information about what was
- 16:55Speaker 1: going on in their marriage in a brand new podcast.
- 16:57Speaker 6: And I'm going to play you that audio coming up next.
- 17:01Speaker 1: You would have heard the news by now that Dolly
- 17:03Speaker 1: Parton has sadly passed away overnight at 80 years old.
- 17:06Speaker 1: The news broke at about four o'clock this morning. Her nephew,
- 17:09Speaker 1: who was also the head of a security team, Brian Seaver,
- 17:13Speaker 1: he revealed the news on his Instagram this morning. Take
- 17:15Speaker 1: a listen to what he said.
- 17:16Speaker 10: Hey, everyone.
- 17:17Speaker 2: My name is Brian Seaver, son of Cassie Parton, and
- 17:21Speaker 2: I'm representing the Parton and Owens family today announcing the
- 17:24Speaker 2: passing of my Aunt Dolly, Rebecca Parton-Dean. sister, sis, aunt
- 17:29Speaker 2: granny to one generation and Gigi to the next. This
- 17:32Speaker 2: video announcement is something Dolly asked of me years ago
- 17:35Speaker 2: before I fully absorbed it as a future reality. As
- 17:37Speaker 2: her head of security for more than two decades, a
- 17:40Speaker 2: role my father Larry held before me, I have imagined
- 17:43Speaker 2: the heaviness of this moment but haven't truly felt it
- 17:45Speaker 2: until now.
- 17:46Speaker 3: Yeah, so she asked him to do the announcement.
- 17:49Speaker 6: To be the one that made the announcement. Now, she
- 17:51Speaker 6: had a huge career.
- 17:52Speaker 1: She was a country music icon. Her career spanned over
- 17:55Speaker 1: 60 years. She sold 100 million records worldwide, won 11
- 18:00Speaker 1: Grammy Awards, and obviously was famous for songs like 9
- 18:04Speaker 1: to 5, which we played this morning. Jolene was another
- 18:06Speaker 1: huge one, but she also wrote and sung... The original
- 18:09Speaker 1: version of I Will Always Love You before Whitney Houston,
- 18:12Speaker 1: which a lot of people don't realise.
- 18:13Speaker 4: And now I'm thinking about it in the movie The Bodyguard.
- 18:15Speaker 3: You've seen The Bodyguard? I actually haven't, no. Good movie,
- 18:18Speaker 3: you'd like it.
- 18:19Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 3: There's a scene where they're in like a country bar.
- 18:22Speaker 10: Right.
- 18:23Speaker 3: And the dolly.
- 18:24Speaker 6: Version is playing.
- 18:25Speaker 4: And then it famously plays right at the end of
- 18:28Speaker 4: the movie.
- 18:29Speaker 3: The Whitney version.
- 18:30Speaker 6: Right, let's hear the dolly version then.
- 18:31Speaker 14: All right.
- 18:42Speaker 6: Very different sounding, but beautiful. She had a great voice.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. I mean, is it bad of me to
- 18:49Speaker 3: say on this day that the Whitney version's better? Yeah.
- 18:56Speaker 6: But without Dolly..
- 18:57Speaker 3: No, it wouldn't have happened.
- 18:58Speaker 6: There was no Whitney version.
- 18:59Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 19:03Speaker 6: All right, let's get back to Dolly here.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Prior to her passing, Dolly had shared that she was
- 19:08Speaker 1: dealing with some ongoing health issues that she'd basically just
- 19:11Speaker 1: neglected because she was caring for her late husband, Carl Dean,
- 19:14Speaker 1: who passed away in March of last year. But then
- 19:17Speaker 1: in an interview just nine months ago, Dolly was saying,
- 19:20Speaker 1: even though she's 80 years old, she still felt young
- 19:22Speaker 1: at heart.
- 19:23Speaker 6: So let's have a little listen to that.
- 19:25Speaker 8: Everybody said, well, you're 80 years old. You're going to
- 19:27Speaker 8: be 80 years old. I said, well, so what? Look
- 19:29Speaker 8: at all I've done in 80 years. I just feel
- 19:31Speaker 8: like I'm just getting started.
- 19:33Speaker 14: I know..
- 19:33Speaker 8: That sounds stupid, but I think there's a lot to
- 19:36Speaker 8: be said about age. If you allow yourself to get old,
- 19:40Speaker 8: you will. And people say, well, how come you don't
- 19:43Speaker 8: seem to get old? I say, because I ain't got
- 19:45Speaker 8: time to get old. Ain't got time to dwell on that.
- 19:48Speaker 8: That's not what I'm thinking about.
- 19:50Speaker 3: It's true, isn't it? There's a lot of old people
- 19:52Speaker 3: you know that just sort of become old people.
- 19:54Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 19:54Speaker 4: And that can even happen to like a bloody 50-year-old.
- 19:56Speaker 4: We know people like that. Or you can be old
- 19:59Speaker 4: and still active.
- 20:00Speaker 6: Old's a state of mind as well as a physical being.
- 20:02Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 20:03Speaker 3: What a life she lived, though, eh?
- 20:04Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, absolutely. Achieved so much. Now, we don't know
- 20:07Speaker 1: her official cause of death yet. When we do, we'll
- 20:09Speaker 1: report it, obviously. But in the days leading up to
- 20:11Speaker 1: her passing, people had reported death. that she was saying
- 20:14Speaker 1: her immune and digestive systems were out of whack and
- 20:16Speaker 1: stuff like that.
- 20:17Speaker 6: So we'll keep you updated on that one.
- 20:19Speaker 4: The other one you've got to watch, 9 to 5.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Have you seen that movie? I reckon that'll go around now.
- 20:23Speaker 4: A lot of people will be watching it today. So
- 20:25Speaker 4: the movie was called 9 to 5, and she starred
- 20:27Speaker 4: in it. And that's where the song comes from. And
- 20:30Speaker 4: it's all about chicks that like it. It's about a
- 20:33Speaker 4: bunch of women that are working in an office, and
- 20:35Speaker 4: the male boss is horrible.
- 20:36Speaker 3: It's very dated. Like, it's very... Have you seen it, Sean?
- 20:39Speaker 10: No, haven't I?
- 20:40Speaker 3: No, you've got to see it. You'll like it. It's
- 20:42Speaker 3: well done. So she could act as well, yeah.
- 20:43Speaker 6: Who knew you were such a Dolly fan?
- 20:45Speaker 3: Yeah, it's weird.
- 20:45Speaker 6: Stan, if anything.
- 20:47Speaker 3: I wouldn't go that far.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Now, I need to talk about as well this AFL scandal.
- 20:51Speaker 1: You probably heard earlier this year, Jules Neal. was cheated
- 20:55Speaker 1: on by her husband, Lockie Neal, who plays for the
- 20:58Speaker 1: Brisbane Lions. So basically after this came to light, he
- 21:02Speaker 1: stepped down as the captain of the Lions as well
- 21:05Speaker 1: because it was so big in the AFL world. And
- 21:08Speaker 1: now Jules, the wife, has finally broken her silence. Now,
- 21:12Speaker 1: I don't know if I've mentioned already, but he cheated
- 21:13Speaker 1: on her with her best friend, Tess.
- 21:15Speaker 6: Who was also married, by the way, not to.
- 21:17Speaker 3: An AFL player. We've got a blonde and a brunette.
- 21:20Speaker 1: So the blonde is his wife or was his wife.
- 21:22Speaker 1: They've since split. The brunette is the other woman, Tess.
- 21:27Speaker 1: And the photo on the right that you're seeing is
- 21:29Speaker 1: Lockie in the AFL outfit and then the husband in
- 21:32Speaker 1: the middle.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Gotcha. God, he's caused a firestorm there.
- 21:35Speaker 6: So, yeah, they were all friends in this friendship group together.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:39Speaker 6: Not anymore. They were doing the dirty. So it was
- 21:42Speaker 6: revealed a few days ago that Jules would be appearing
- 21:44Speaker 6: on a Tell All podcast. That podcast has come out today.
- 21:48Speaker 1: So Jules, the wife, has said now that this wasn't
- 21:51Speaker 1: the first time he'd cheated on her.
- 21:53Speaker 6: Take a listen. I had found out that he had
- 21:56Speaker 6: cheated on me before.
- 21:57Speaker 14: Okay.
- 21:58Speaker 1: I got one of those awful like hey girly DMs
- 22:00Speaker 1: with receipts and all sorts of things.
- 22:02Speaker 6: The ones that make your heart sink down to your ass?
- 22:04Speaker 3: Awful. Yeah.
- 22:06Speaker 6: The worst day of my life.
- 22:07Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 22:07Speaker 6: Didn't leave bed for four days.
- 22:09Speaker 10: I fully believe it.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Before that would have bet my life that he would
- 22:12Speaker 1: have never done that to me ever.
- 22:13Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 22:14Speaker 6: I was reassured that that was a one-off thing. It
- 22:18Speaker 6: would never happen again. Biggest mistake of its life. We
- 22:21Speaker 6: already had my daughter together, so I decided to stay.
- 22:26Speaker 1: Yeah, and now Tess, the other woman, is hitting back
- 22:29Speaker 1: in a bit of a tit-for-tat thing, and she's dropping
- 22:32Speaker 1: her own podcast interview tomorrow where she's going to tell
- 22:34Speaker 1: her side of the story.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Oh, we'll have to hear that. Hey, that text message
- 22:38Speaker 3: she got.
- 22:39Speaker 6: The hey, girly one.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Hey, girl, I've been seeing your man. Have you ever
- 22:42Speaker 3: received one like that?
- 22:44Speaker 1: You know, way back in the day, I'd been told
- 22:47Speaker 1: that a partner at the time had been cheating on me.
- 22:49Speaker 3: Do you believe it when you get it or do
- 22:50Speaker 3: you always go, oh, she's lying?
- 22:52Speaker 6: Your heart sinks immediately and then I think if you're
- 22:54Speaker 6: not an idiot, you believe it. But then it's like
- 22:56Speaker 6: I was just thinking as I was listening to her
- 22:58Speaker 6: talk because she said that she's got a daughter with him, right?
- 23:00Speaker 3: Yeah, what do you do?
- 23:01Speaker 1: And then I just thought, I'm pregnant, as we now know,
- 23:04Speaker 1: and if I found out my partner was cheating on
- 23:06Speaker 1: me six months ago, it would be a completely different
- 23:08Speaker 1: story to finding out your partner's cheating on you when
- 23:10Speaker 1: you also have a child. So I can understand how
- 23:12Speaker 1: someone like her would think, He said, I'm sorry. He
- 23:14Speaker 1: said it's the worst mistake he's ever made in his life.
- 23:17Speaker 1: And we've got a daughter together. Do we let everything
- 23:20Speaker 1: crumble over one mistake? But clearly it's a pattern of
- 23:23Speaker 1: behaviour here.
- 23:23Speaker 3: But you'd stay with him now, right? Oh, God. You're pregnant.
- 23:28Speaker 3: I'll just text Nat, hey, girl.
- 23:32Speaker 6: No, you know what? It's hard to say because also, particularly,
- 23:36Speaker 6: you know..
- 23:37Speaker 1: You don't want to show your child that that kind
- 23:39Speaker 1: of behaviour is okay as well.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:40Speaker 1: Like you almost need to show your child, like lead by.
- 23:44Speaker 6: Example and say you can't let people.
- 23:46Speaker 3: You're engaged.
- 23:46Speaker 6: I know, and it's really hard to say, but I
- 23:48Speaker 6: just like to think that that's never going to be
- 23:50Speaker 6: an option.
- 23:50Speaker 3: Nah, he's too busy.
- 23:52Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:53Speaker 3: I love that excuse when people get caught cheating too.
- 23:55Speaker 3: How can I? I'm too busy.
- 23:56Speaker 6: When would I find the time? Oh, I'm sure you'd
- 23:59Speaker 6: be able to.
- 23:59Speaker 3: But it takes a few minutes. Yeah.
- 24:01Speaker 6: Oh, in your case, one.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Yeah, not even, mate. Jesus, one minute. That'd be me excelling.

- 24:38Speaker 7: Good morning.
- 24:39Speaker 10: How are you?
- 24:39Speaker 3: Good, man. What would you do with the money?
- 24:41Speaker 4: It's been a while since I've done date nights.
- 24:45Speaker 5: I'd probably spend the evening with the wife.
- 24:47Speaker 3: You're a good guy.
- 24:48Speaker 6: A nice dinner somewhere, what, in the city or something?
- 24:51Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe Six Head down at Circular Day.
- 24:55Speaker 6: Good restaurant.
- 24:57Speaker 14: I've not been.
- 24:57Speaker 6: Delicious steak.
- 24:58Speaker 3: Oh, steak. Okay. All right, mate. Well, good luck. Nat
- 25:01Speaker 3: has got your question. All right.
- 25:03Speaker 6: Best of luck, Stu.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Let's get straight into it with question number one. Willard
- 25:06Speaker 1: Smith is the full name of which famous actor?
- 25:10Speaker 10: Will Smith.
- 25:11Speaker 6: Name one colour in the MasterCard logo.
- 25:13Speaker 5: Orange.
- 25:17Speaker 6: Give me the title of a movie that's based around dancing.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Around dancing? Yep.
- 25:24Speaker 10: Dirty dancing.
- 25:25Speaker 6: Who's Beyonce married to?
- 25:28Speaker 10: Jay-Z.
- 25:28Speaker 1: How many seasons were there of the TV show Friends?
- 25:31Speaker 1: Ten or eight?
- 25:34Speaker 7: Pass.
- 25:35Speaker 6: Gretchen Wieners is a fictional character from which teen movie?
- 25:41Speaker 3: Mean Girls.
- 25:42Speaker 6: Haas and Williams are both teams in which sport?
- 25:48Speaker 5: F1 motor racing.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Pass. Taylor Swift.
- 25:50Speaker 8: Oh.
- 26:13Speaker 10: Oh, time's up.
- 26:15Speaker 6: That was Tim Robards.
- 26:17Speaker 3: You did really, really well.
- 26:19Speaker 6: You got seven out of ten, so you just passed
- 26:21Speaker 6: on a couple. There were ten Season of Friends, and
- 26:25Speaker 6: then the new Sonny Sandler movie is called Don't Say
- 26:28Speaker 6: Good Luck. That's Adam Sandler's daughter.
- 26:29Speaker 3: Yeah, but really bloody good, mate.
- 26:31Speaker 6: Yeah, really good effort, but unfortunately no win today.
- 26:34Speaker 4: All right, Stu, another chance to play our pop quiz
- 26:37Speaker 4: coming up before eight.
- 26:39Speaker 3: All right, so keep it right here on Kiss. We
- 26:41Speaker 3: will tell you when to call in.
- 26:43Speaker 1: Now, next we're going to be speaking to a British
- 26:45Speaker 1: woman who a week out from her wedding was dumped
- 26:48Speaker 1: by her long-term boyfriend.
- 26:50Speaker 6: So you know what she decided to do? She decided
- 26:52Speaker 6: to have the wedding anyway. A destination wedding as well
- 26:56Speaker 6: with all her friends and family. We're going to chat
- 26:58Speaker 6: to her next and see how it was.
- 26:59Speaker 4: All right, Zara Larson, Midnight Sun. Yeah, it's huge at
- 27:03Speaker 4: the moment. Let's play it on Kiss.
- 27:04Speaker 3: Good morning. Hey, we want to take your calls.
- 27:06Speaker 4: 131065, were you dumped before the wedding?
- 27:11Speaker 3: Wedding's all planned.
- 27:13Speaker 4: You're going to get married, but you get dumped and
- 27:15Speaker 4: the wedding doesn't go forward. 131065, if you've got a story,
- 27:20Speaker 4: what do you got here about that, Nat?
- 27:22Speaker 1: All right, I want to tell you about this girl
- 27:24Speaker 1: from the UK, Catherine Jones. So she was in love,
- 27:27Speaker 1: set to get married earlier this month, and it all
- 27:29Speaker 1: went horribly wrong because a week out from her wedding,
- 27:33Speaker 1: the guy who she'd been with for seven years just
- 27:36Speaker 1: decided he got cold feet and didn't want to take
- 27:38Speaker 1: part in the wedding anymore, didn't want to get married.
- 27:40Speaker 6: I know, it's awful.
- 27:42Speaker 1: But Catherine was like, oh, well, I've just spent all
- 27:45Speaker 1: these months planning a wedding in Italy and all this money.
- 27:49Speaker 1: So she decided the show must go on. She got
- 27:51Speaker 1: married anyway, but she went through with the wedding. All
- 27:53Speaker 1: her friends and family were there and she had the
- 27:55Speaker 1: best night of her life. So I thought we would
- 27:57Speaker 1: talk to her this morning and find out why she
- 27:59Speaker 1: made the decision to still go ahead with it and
- 28:01Speaker 1: how the night actually was.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Hello, Catherine. Hi, Catherine.
- 28:04Speaker 14: Hello, morning.
- 28:05Speaker 4: So you married yourself then?
- 28:08Speaker 3: Is that what you did when you walked down the aisle?
- 28:10Speaker 3: Is that the deal?
- 28:11Speaker 6: Not quite.
- 28:12Speaker 14: I didn't have a ceremony in the end, but everything else,
- 28:15Speaker 14: it was a three-day event. So it was in Italy.
- 28:17Speaker 6: So it was like the.
- 28:18Speaker 14: Welcome dinner, the wedding day, and then the pool party afterwards.
- 28:24Speaker 14: So everything remained the same. The only thing that we
- 28:27Speaker 14: removed was the ceremony.
- 28:28Speaker 1: What was his reason for breaking up with you? Or
- 28:31Speaker 1: did you not really get a legitimate one?
- 28:33Speaker 14: Honestly, not really.
- 28:35Speaker 6: It was all very..
- 28:37Speaker 14: I think he's just an avoidant. Like he couldn't even
- 28:39Speaker 14: look me in the eye. He was just like, I
- 28:41Speaker 14: just don't think we should get married. I just don't
- 28:43Speaker 14: think we should get married. There wasn't really a proper
- 28:47Speaker 14: reason given.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Can I throw something at you? I've said it a
- 28:50Speaker 4: number of times and most people agree. Men won't usually
- 28:54Speaker 4: leave unless there's another woman.
- 28:57Speaker 3: Was there another woman?
- 28:59Speaker 14: Not that I know of yet.
- 29:01Speaker 6: I love the yet. Only time will tell. Yeah.
- 29:04Speaker 1: And the thing is, you could sit there and stew
- 29:07Speaker 1: on it for days and weeks and years and try
- 29:10Speaker 1: and work out the reason.
- 29:11Speaker 6: Or you can do what you did and just go,
- 29:13Speaker 6: you know what? Who cares? I'm going to move on
- 29:15Speaker 6: with my life.
- 29:16Speaker 3: That's true. And what was the day like?
- 29:19Speaker 6: Was it sad? Like, were you crying or was it
- 29:21Speaker 6: a happy time?
- 29:22Speaker 1: Like, how did it actually feel to go ahead with
- 29:24Speaker 1: the thing that was supposed to be you and your
- 29:25Speaker 1: new husband?
- 29:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:26Speaker 14: I think the fact that we were creating funny content
- 29:30Speaker 14: that has now gone viral, that made us laugh throughout.
- 29:34Speaker 14: Don't get me wrong, there was moments of tears. On
- 29:36Speaker 14: the wedding day, I didn't actually cry, but on the
- 29:40Speaker 14: day before when everyone first arrived, I did cry.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Because it's all your nearest and dearest arriving in this
- 29:45Speaker 1: beautiful location in Italy.
- 29:47Speaker 6: That's, yeah, that would be emotional.
- 29:49Speaker 3: I've got a big question, though. Didn't he pay for
- 29:51Speaker 3: half of this?
- 29:52Speaker 14: No, no, no, no. He did pay for some of
- 29:54Speaker 14: it and he will eventually pay for more of it.
- 29:57Speaker 4: So he's still going to pay, even though he called
- 30:00Speaker 4: the wedding off and wasn't part of the wedding.
- 30:02Speaker 3: You're like, no, you've still got to pay.
- 30:04Speaker 14: As he deserves.
- 30:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I've got to say, I agree with Catherine here.
- 30:09Speaker 1: Have you had any conversation or communication with him since
- 30:13Speaker 1: the breakup chat?
- 30:14Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean, it's hard because obviously we've got a
- 30:17Speaker 14: full life together.
- 30:18Speaker 6: I was going to say, you would have been living
- 30:20Speaker 6: together and everything.
- 30:21Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 30:22Speaker 14: We have to sell the house. We've got cats together.
- 30:25Speaker 3: You can cape them.
- 30:27Speaker 6: Of course, absolutely.
- 30:29Speaker 3: Cape the cats.
- 30:29Speaker 7: There's a lot of actual things.
- 30:35Speaker 14: Logistics that we need to go through together. So we
- 30:38Speaker 14: have communicated, but it's been solely around that.
- 30:41Speaker 6: It's not really business only.
- 30:42Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 30:43Speaker 3: And it's gone viral. He's obviously seen that it's gone viral.
- 30:46Speaker 6: How does he feel about that?
- 30:48Speaker 14: He's not happy. He's, he's shy and private anyway, which
- 30:52Speaker 14: is probably why he got cold feet. But you know, I,
- 30:56Speaker 14: If you're going to do that to me, then you
- 30:57Speaker 14: can expect payback.
- 30:59Speaker 6: Absolutely. Hey, I want to know, are you going to
- 31:01Speaker 6: go on a honeymoon as well? Create yourself to a honeymoon?
- 31:04Speaker 14: I've been on a honeymoon with my mum. So we
- 31:06Speaker 14: called it mummy moon.
- 31:08Speaker 6: I actually love this for you.
- 31:09Speaker 1: I mean, this thing happens to people all the time, right?
- 31:13Speaker 1: Like I actually know people who have been left very
- 31:15Speaker 1: close to their wedding. So I really like the fact
- 31:17Speaker 1: that instead of like crying and feeling sorry for yourself,
- 31:20Speaker 1: you just kind of went about your life and celebrated you, really.
- 31:24Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 31:25Speaker 14: Yeah, absolutely. I'm not going to let any man ruin
- 31:28Speaker 14: my life.
- 31:29Speaker 3: Well, there we go.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Well, good on you and a good message for everyone.
- 31:32Speaker 4: Just marry yourself. Go through your own wedding.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Catherine Jones, thank you and enjoy all the attention you're
- 31:39Speaker 3: going to get.
- 31:40Speaker 6: Thank you so much.
- 31:40Speaker 3: I hope you find out why he left you.
- 31:42Speaker 1: And I hope you find another guy who actually goes
- 31:45Speaker 1: through with a wedding and treats you better.
- 31:48Speaker 14: Fingers crossed.
- 31:49Speaker 3: All right. 21 past seven now.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Coming up next, I actually want to talk about these
- 31:54Speaker 1: marriage hacks that are going viral right now. Apparently, it's
- 31:57Speaker 1: the way to keep your marriage on track for many,
- 32:00Speaker 1: many years.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Catherine doesn't need that.
- 32:01Speaker 6: There are things we should all be doing.
- 32:02Speaker 3: No, Catherine. Sorry, Catherine. You're on Kiss. Good morning. When
- 32:09Speaker 3: are you getting married, Nat?
- 32:11Speaker 6: Well, now as well, there's been a lot of questions
- 32:13Speaker 6: about that.
- 32:14Speaker 1: And I've just had to go, I don't know if
- 32:16Speaker 1: we're going to have a long engagement.
- 32:17Speaker 6: I'm going to wait till after I have the baby.
- 32:19Speaker 3: If you don't know, if you just tuned in, she's pregnant.
- 32:21Speaker 6: I'm pregnant. Yes, I'm up the duff, if you will.
- 32:24Speaker 1: But no, so it's kind of like I was thinking about...
- 32:27Speaker 1: So just as I thought I want to start wedding planning,
- 32:31Speaker 1: I found out I was pregnant. So it kind of
- 32:33Speaker 1: just every because I thought I was going to rush
- 32:34Speaker 1: it and like literally get married the end of this year.
- 32:36Speaker 6: That was my plan. Like short engagement. Just do it.
- 32:39Speaker 6: Why waste time?
- 32:40Speaker 3: But now you're pregnant.
- 32:40Speaker 6: But now, yeah, I'm pregnant. So but it's kind of nice.
- 32:43Speaker 6: The baby can be part of the wedding. You know
- 32:46Speaker 6: what I mean?
- 32:47Speaker 3: If you do it after, yeah.
- 32:48Speaker 6: Yeah. I don't want to be a pregnant bride. I
- 32:50Speaker 6: already feel like revolting to look at.
- 32:53Speaker 3: It looks like a shotgun wedding if you do it
- 32:55Speaker 3: pregnant as well.
- 32:55Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 32:56Speaker 6: Like you're forced to.
- 32:57Speaker 1: It's also not the early 1900s where I feel as
- 33:00Speaker 1: if I have to be married to have a child.
- 33:01Speaker 3: Nah.
- 33:02Speaker 13: Nah.
- 33:02Speaker 3: Heaps of people just do it or don't do it
- 33:04Speaker 3: at all.
- 33:05Speaker 1: No, many people just never get married and that's so
- 33:07Speaker 1: normal these days. But anyway, this isn't about me right now.
- 33:10Speaker 1: This is about a couple, an Instagram couple, Kate and
- 33:13Speaker 1: Ben Askoo, who are going viral for their marriage advice.
- 33:17Speaker 1: They claim these are the hacks to keep your marriage
- 33:20Speaker 1: on track for many years and they say they've... abided
- 33:22Speaker 1: by these for 10 years and they're in a very
- 33:24Speaker 1: happy relationship as a result.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Let's see what they are.
- 33:27Speaker 1: I'm going to go through them and I want to get, well, Sean,
- 33:29Speaker 1: you're obviously in a marriage. I want to get your
- 33:31Speaker 1: opinion on this too. No big serious conversations after 9pm.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Oh, I agree with that. I mean, I don't want
- 33:39Speaker 3: to be in bed by 9pm with these hours, to
- 33:41Speaker 3: be honest.
- 33:42Speaker 6: But also you're tired, you're emotional, things get heated. And
- 33:45Speaker 6: also you don't want to be in an argument when
- 33:47Speaker 6: you're not of sound mind.
- 33:49Speaker 4: I even feel at like 6pm, like I'm having an
- 33:52Speaker 4: exchange and it's getting heated.
- 33:53Speaker 6: There's nothing worse.
- 33:54Speaker 4: And then it's like, you can't get to sleep. Can
- 33:56Speaker 4: we just not, let's just fight in the AM.
- 33:59Speaker 6: Fight in the morning and then make up by night time.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Sean?
- 34:03Speaker 11: Yeah, I reckon that's way too late. Leave your fights
- 34:06Speaker 11: before 5pm, maybe.
- 34:08Speaker 6: In business hours, if you will.
- 34:10Speaker 1: In an argument, one person is allowed to say, I'm
- 34:14Speaker 1: being unreasonable right now and I know it. So they're
- 34:16Speaker 1: basically admitting, you know, my emotions are unwarranted and I
- 34:19Speaker 1: know it, but I'm still going to double down.
- 34:21Speaker 3: That is usually the chick.
- 34:22Speaker 6: Yeah, sometimes we don't.
- 34:23Speaker 11: Yeah, Maddie's usually the one first to say that. I
- 34:25Speaker 11: don't know.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Like, guys, we don't care about much. We don't want
- 34:29Speaker 3: to fight at all, ever.
- 34:30Speaker 6: Generally, and I will give it to you guys, you're
- 34:32Speaker 6: pretty reasonable.
- 34:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Like, it's not like you fly off the handle at
- 34:37Speaker 1: something that isn't warranted like women do.
- 34:39Speaker 6: We're very emotional.
- 34:39Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Oh, I know.
- 34:41Speaker 6: Gee, I'm hormonal at the moment too, so sorry, Kane.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Also, the next one, you're allowed to be annoyed about
- 34:46Speaker 1: something for only 10 minutes and then you must, before
- 34:50Speaker 1: you must say it or drop it. So you either address,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you can't just do the silent treatment.
- 34:55Speaker 6: While they're like, what the hell is wrong with this?
- 34:57Speaker 1: You either have to say something about it or drop
- 35:00Speaker 1: it and move on and stop carrying on within 10 minutes.
- 35:03Speaker 4: Look, I agree with say what it is. But if
- 35:06Speaker 4: I'm annoyed, I want to be annoyed for a good
- 35:08Speaker 4: 24 hours. Thank you very much.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Really? Well, if you're annoyed, you're annoyed.
- 35:11Speaker 6: God, you drag things out.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Because you get over it like that, do you not?
- 35:15Speaker 5: No.
- 35:16Speaker 1: Oh, but I am a confronted head-on person. So, like,
- 35:19Speaker 1: if someone's like, I need space, we'll talk about it later.
- 35:21Speaker 6: I'm like, no. And I'll follow them and argue with them.
- 35:23Speaker 4: But that's other advice. They're like, let someone cool down. Yeah,
- 35:26Speaker 4: but I'm the same.
- 35:27Speaker 3: I've done that. Because I've been told I just want
- 35:29Speaker 3: to be left alone.
- 35:29Speaker 6: They're like, just leave me.
- 35:30Speaker 3: I'm like, no. We're sorting it out now.
- 35:33Speaker 6: I reckon I'm annoyed for a good hour or two, maybe.
- 35:36Speaker 6: Maddie's pretty good, though.
- 35:38Speaker 11: She doesn't get annoyed for that long.
- 35:40Speaker 3: You're a chill guy, though.
- 35:41Speaker 6: You are a chill guy. I can't imagine you getting
- 35:43Speaker 6: mad about things.
- 35:44Speaker 11: No, it's very rare. I don't get mad about a
- 35:47Speaker 11: lot of things. And, yeah, I think when I do...
- 35:51Speaker 11: It's probably about an hour or two.
- 35:53Speaker 3: I want to see Sean angry. Let's make the dude angry.
- 35:55Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 35:55Speaker 3: I've never seen him angry. Yeah.
- 35:57Speaker 6: I mean, I don't really want to make him angry
- 35:58Speaker 6: at work. It is my wedding anniversary today.
- 36:02Speaker 3: Oh, is it?
- 36:02Speaker 6: Oh, happy anniversary. What's your wife's name? Maddie, Madeline. Oh,
- 36:06Speaker 6: you just said it ten times. Sorry about your brain.
- 36:08Speaker 6: On the same day Dolly Parton.
- 36:09Speaker 3: I know, right? So forever, your wedding anniversary.
- 36:13Speaker 6: Just get married again.
- 36:13Speaker 4: Not just that, the day that Nat announced she's pregnant.
- 36:18Speaker 6: Oh, no, no, no. That was yesterday.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Last night.
- 36:22Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 36:23Speaker 3: Is that why the cameras are out the front today?
- 36:25Speaker 6: That is, yeah. I already did a statement.
- 36:27Speaker 3: Oh, did you? I was going to go and do
- 36:28Speaker 3: an in-depth interview as well.
- 36:30Speaker 6: Yeah, go down there.
- 36:31Speaker 3: It's 28 past seven the time now. We've got a
- 36:33Speaker 3: hit of celeb news coming up with that soon. We'll
- 36:36Speaker 3: get into that. You are on Kiss. Good morning. All right, thanks, Sean.
- 36:42Speaker 4: Let's go to Nat and get a hit of celeb news.
- 36:44Speaker 3: What's happening?
- 36:45Speaker 6: You know how Kim Kardashian and Kanye West's daughter, North West,
- 36:48Speaker 6: is trying to start a music career? She's been rapping.
- 36:50Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 36:51Speaker 6: Well, if you haven't heard her single before, this is
- 36:55Speaker 6: North Forever.
- 36:58Speaker 3: We have it here. This is her single?
- 37:00Speaker 14: Yes.
- 37:00Speaker 3: All right. It's like rock.
- 37:13Speaker 6: It's like rock. It's a lot of auto-tune. It's basically,
- 37:17Speaker 6: it's the result and the product of nepotism.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. She's a nepo, baby.
- 37:22Speaker 1: So she actually released her first six-track EP in May
- 37:25Speaker 1: of this year. But despite the music career and getting
- 37:28Speaker 1: into all that, she just said in a new interview
- 37:30Speaker 1: that she wants to work at Starbucks.
- 37:33Speaker 6: Which is huge over in the US, obviously, the coffee chain.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Didn't really take off here. There's a few around, but
- 37:38Speaker 3: it's not as big as in America.
- 37:39Speaker 6: Yeah, in America, it's like a part of their way
- 37:41Speaker 6: of life for them.
- 37:42Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 37:42Speaker 6: Like, I'm going to Starbucks. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Whereas here, I think because we've got such like a
- 37:46Speaker 3: snobby coffee culture.
- 37:47Speaker 1: But our coffee is so much better.
- 37:50Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 37:51Speaker 6: So she said, I still want to work. I want
- 37:53Speaker 6: to work at Starbucks next year. I think I can
- 37:56Speaker 6: because I'm going to be 14. I want to have
- 37:57Speaker 6: a regular job.
- 37:59Speaker 4: I mean, good on her. But anyone that's had a
- 38:01Speaker 4: regular job like all of us. knows that a regular.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Job is overrated.
- 38:05Speaker 6: What was your first job?
- 38:06Speaker 3: I worked in a $ 2 store.
- 38:08Speaker 6: When you were around that age?
- 38:09Speaker 3: Yeah, around 14. Yeah. Did it used to be 14
- 38:12Speaker 3: and 9 months? 14 and 9 months, yeah.
- 38:13Speaker 10: You could start.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Working, yeah, at a $ 2 store. Hated it. Hated retail.
- 38:17Speaker 6: It does teach you good skills, though, at that age. Yeah,
- 38:19Speaker 6: I got fired from my first job, too.
- 38:21Speaker 3: Why'd you get fired? Have I told you this before?
- 38:24Speaker 3: Not sure. They had a stack of diaries they were selling.
- 38:27Speaker 6: Oh, yes.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. And I went through them and on the
- 38:31Speaker 3: 31st of December, which is New Year's Eve, I think
- 38:33Speaker 3: I wrote, get effing pissed.
- 38:36Speaker 6: And, I mean, you would think that most people probably
- 38:38Speaker 6: wouldn't see that for a year.
- 38:39Speaker 3: No, but some dude, some grandpa bought it for his
- 38:42Speaker 3: granddaughter and came in and opened it to the page
- 38:46Speaker 3: and I denied it and they went to the cameras
- 38:47Speaker 3: and whatever.
- 38:48Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 38:49Speaker 3: I was having a laugh. That's good. Just have a laugh.
- 38:51Speaker 3: I mean, you're buying a $ 2 diary, you tight ass.
- 38:53Speaker 6: Yeah, why couldn't that old man just have a laugh?
- 38:55Speaker 6: It's quite funny, though.
- 38:56Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 38:57Speaker 6: Hey, speaking of music, we've got Taylor Swift. who had
- 39:02Speaker 6: a huge 2012 hit. She's had so many hits, but
- 39:04Speaker 6: remember this one from 2012, I Knew You Were Trouble.
- 39:07Speaker 6: I actually love it. I think this is one of
- 39:11Speaker 6: her best.
- 39:11Speaker 3: I like that era. Yes, I agree. Whatever era that is.
- 39:15Speaker 6: I don't know. Do we have any Swifties? The red era. Oh,
- 39:17Speaker 6: that's the red era. You're a red guy.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Is that the one with, like, Cruel Summer?
- 39:21Speaker 6: No, this is earlier than that.
- 39:22Speaker 3: Oh, such a bad Swiftie. I mean, I did go
- 39:24Speaker 3: to a concert and leave early because I was bored.
- 39:27Speaker 6: Yeah, you said that, which angered a lot of Swifties
- 39:29Speaker 6: who were trying... to get tickets and you went and
- 39:31Speaker 6: sat there.
- 39:31Speaker 3: Free tickets.
- 39:32Speaker 6: Sat there, didn't sing or dance and then left.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Free premium good tickets. Walked out.
- 39:38Speaker 6: Aren't you cool? Do you feel cool?
- 39:40Speaker 3: Yeah, and I wrote in a diary, get pissed.
- 39:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:44Speaker 1: Anyway, so she's now revealed that the music producers behind
- 39:48Speaker 1: that song actually advised her that it should have been
- 39:50Speaker 1: a dubstep song.
- 39:52Speaker 6: Take a listen.
- 39:53Speaker 2: I wrote this really sad piano ballad called I Knew
- 39:57Speaker 2: You Were Trouble.
- 39:58Speaker 3: I want to hear that version.
- 40:01Speaker 6: I was really excited to bring it in and I
- 40:03Speaker 6: played them this really, really sad ballad.
- 40:06Speaker 14: And I was like, I think just no drums and
- 40:09Speaker 14: they're like, what if it's dubstep?
- 40:12Speaker 1: Yeah, so we thought we'd try and track down that
- 40:15Speaker 1: dubstep version or a version of it in dubstep to
- 40:18Speaker 1: kind of hear what it would have sounded like.
- 40:20Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 40:20Speaker 6: We found one.
- 40:21Speaker 3: It's no good. I knew you were trouble, the dubstep version.
- 40:25Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 40:31Speaker 6: Wait for it.
- 40:36Speaker 3: She's got the.
- 40:38Speaker 10: Piano.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Here we go. I like it.
- 40:57Speaker 10: Really?
- 40:57Speaker 3: Yeah. If you want to hear that in its entirety,
- 41:03Speaker 3: call us on 131065. No, we're not putting that on.
- 41:06Speaker 6: But wasn't dubstep just so of that era?
- 41:09Speaker 3: Yes.
- 41:10Speaker 6: Like, I would happily die and never hear dubstep again.
- 41:12Speaker 3: Yeah, like even Bieber and all that were doing a
- 41:14Speaker 3: few dubstep songs.
- 41:15Speaker 6: I mean, who were the big... It's like Skrillex was the..
- 41:17Speaker 3: Skrillex was the dubstep guy.
- 41:18Speaker 6: Oh, thing, this is right up your alley.
- 41:20Speaker 11: Oh, yeah.
- 41:21Speaker 9: Just listening to that gave me some flashbacks to music
- 41:23Speaker 9: festivals that I went.
- 41:24Speaker 11: To in my 20s.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 41:25Speaker 6: In my festival days, dubstep was the..
- 41:28Speaker 9: Stereo Sonic and stuff. But yeah, Skrillex is probably the main..
- 41:31Speaker 6: Dubstep guy.
- 41:32Speaker 9: Person you associate with that, yeah.
- 41:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 41:35Speaker 3: Bring it back. We need more dubstep.
- 41:36Speaker 6: You know some music styles, though, you hear it and
- 41:38Speaker 6: you just know, like LMFAO, Party Rock.
- 41:40Speaker 3: Oh, I never want to hear that again.
- 41:41Speaker 1: But you just, you go, that is from that era.
- 41:44Speaker 1: I can just remember the fashion. I can remember, you
- 41:46Speaker 1: know what I mean? That dubstep sound... It's just so, like,
- 41:51Speaker 1: early 2010s.
- 41:52Speaker 3: Gangnam Style's another one.
- 41:54Speaker 6: Oh, Gangnam Style. But that's not dubstep.
- 41:56Speaker 3: No, no. It's just awful.
- 41:58Speaker 6: Sigh.
- 41:59Speaker 3: Oh, what have we got? We've got Bang... Oh, yeah,
- 42:01Speaker 3: so this was... Bangarang.
- 42:02Speaker 10: Oh, I.
- 42:04Speaker 6: Like it. Everyone out there's going off to this. I
- 42:10Speaker 6: hate it.
- 42:13Speaker 9: It makes me think of a time when life was simpler,
- 42:15Speaker 9: you know?
- 42:16Speaker 3: You were more an R & B girl though, right?
- 42:19Speaker 3: I was.
- 42:20Speaker 1: I didn't mind a bit of dance, but I was
- 42:21Speaker 1: more like Calvin Harris or like Show Me Love.
- 42:27Speaker 6: That kind of dance, yeah.
- 42:28Speaker 3: Soft dance, yeah.
- 42:29Speaker 4: All right, hey, coming up, I love this story. A
- 42:32Speaker 4: fussy customer, she's been to a restaurant, she's complained. You
- 42:36Speaker 4: know how they occasionally will write a note?
- 42:38Speaker 3: On the receipt. Oh, yeah. About said customer.
- 42:42Speaker 6: Oh, okay. A receipt that's not supposed to go to
- 42:44Speaker 6: said customer.
- 42:45Speaker 3: Customer saw it. Wait till you see what they said
- 42:47Speaker 3: about her. Oh, no. We got it for you next,
- 42:49Speaker 3: all right? You're on Kiss. Teddy swims right now. Hanging
- 42:53Speaker 3: out with Mikey. Nat is here filling in for Amy Gerard. Hello.
- 42:57Speaker 3: Good morning.
- 42:58Speaker 4: All right, so, you know, you complain when you're at
- 43:01Speaker 4: a restaurant. Occasionally, they will write something. on the receipt
- 43:05Speaker 4: that is just a note for the people behind the kitchen.
- 43:09Speaker 3: I think this.
- 43:09Speaker 1: Happens in a lot of industries because my friend who
- 43:11Speaker 1: works in the flying industry, they have an internal database
- 43:16Speaker 1: where they can write notes about customers as well.
- 43:18Speaker 6: But the customer is never intended to see it.
- 43:20Speaker 1: But let's say they're a particularly difficult flyer or whatever.
- 43:23Speaker 1: There may be a note across your name that you
- 43:25Speaker 1: don't know about.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Yeah, so this woman, she's in Italy. She saw the note.
- 43:30Speaker 4: So she's eating a breakfast with her family. She asked
- 43:33Speaker 4: if her eggs could be cooked a bit longer.
- 43:35Speaker 6: Oh, I love a runny egg, but she clearly doesn't.
- 43:38Speaker 4: Well, apparently she was told that we don't make raw
- 43:40Speaker 4: eggs here. Anyway, by the time it came to pay,
- 43:45Speaker 4: there was a note on the receipt saying, And it said,
- 43:49Speaker 4: this is pissing me off.
- 43:50Speaker 3: Burn the eggs and spit in them.
- 43:54Speaker 1: Whoever wrote that thought their note would only go to
- 43:56Speaker 1: the kitchen.
- 43:57Speaker 6: And then when she got a receipt.
- 43:58Speaker 4: It's literally got a photo of the receipt caught.
- 44:03Speaker 3: I wonder if they did spit in them.
- 44:05Speaker 6: I always think, because you know how everyone always says, oh,
- 44:07Speaker 6: don't complain, they'll spit in your food. I wonder if
- 44:09Speaker 6: they actually ever do that. Because that's mental.
- 44:11Speaker 3: Well, and would be totally against health and safety laws.
- 44:14Speaker 6: Oh, obviously.
- 44:15Speaker 1: But like they, yeah, I just, it would not be
- 44:17Speaker 1: my thought if I worked in a kitchen to go,
- 44:19Speaker 1: I hate this person.
- 44:20Speaker 6: Like I just wouldn't do it.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Like, maybe I'm a pussy.
- 44:23Speaker 4: If I go to a restaurant, I don't like the
- 44:24Speaker 4: food or it isn't cooked the way I want it.
- 44:26Speaker 3: I don't know if you're the same, Sean. I just
- 44:28Speaker 3: don't say anything. Yeah, I rarely would say anything. I
- 44:31Speaker 3: won't go back. Like, to me, mental note, food here
- 44:34Speaker 3: is terrible. I remember going out to dinner with my
- 44:36Speaker 3: mum once. She sent a steak back four times at
- 44:40Speaker 3: an RSL.
- 44:41Speaker 6: It's the worst being with that person too. Four times.
- 44:44Speaker 3: When you're just like, stop.
- 44:46Speaker 10: Yeah, just mum.
- 44:46Speaker 6: No, I paid for it.
- 44:47Speaker 3: Oh, I know.
- 44:47Speaker 6: How are you with that?
- 44:49Speaker 3: What do you do?
- 44:50Speaker 1: So I'm like you, I'll mostly just sit there and sulk.
- 44:52Speaker 1: But I remember there was a time where I sulked
- 44:56Speaker 1: too obviously and the waitress actually came up to me
- 45:00Speaker 1: and said, is there something wrong with your food? Because
- 45:02Speaker 1: I kind of was just sitting there and I actually
- 45:03Speaker 1: put my fork and knife down and.
- 45:05Speaker 6: Just was like, I'm not going to eat this.
- 45:06Speaker 3: You weren't eating it.
- 45:07Speaker 6: Yeah, because something was wrong with the chicken. It just
- 45:09Speaker 6: tasted weird. I don't risk bad chicken.
- 45:11Speaker 3: Don't risk chicken.
- 45:12Speaker 1: So I thought to myself, I'm not going to send
- 45:14Speaker 1: this back, but I'm not going to eat it. So
- 45:16Speaker 1: I was sulking. I thought to myself, but she noticed
- 45:19Speaker 1: and she came over and asked. And I said, look,
- 45:21Speaker 1: I just. I think there's something wrong with the chicken.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I don't know if it was the barley in it,
- 45:26Speaker 1: like there was a herb in it, but it tasted wrong.
- 45:29Speaker 6: And I was like, but it's fine. She's like, do
- 45:30Speaker 6: you want me to get you something else? And I
- 45:31Speaker 6: was like, no, you know what?
- 45:32Speaker 1: Because then my friend's eaten and I'm just going to
- 45:34Speaker 1: wait and then I've got to eat on my own.
- 45:35Speaker 6: Like, don't worry about it. But she was really lovely
- 45:37Speaker 6: and just removed it off the bill. But I remember
- 45:39Speaker 6: thinking I seem like that difficult customer, which is exactly
- 45:43Speaker 6: what I was trying to avoid.
- 45:44Speaker 3: To not have someone spit in your food.
- 45:46Speaker 6: Yes. But yeah, I just sulked.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, that's the best way. Just sulk until
- 45:51Speaker 3: you get some sort of attention.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Sit there with, like, a really sad, sulky face, and
- 45:55Speaker 1: then they'll come over to you and just notice, like
- 45:57Speaker 1: they did with me.
- 45:57Speaker 3: All right, 10 to 8 is the time right now.
- 46:00Speaker 3: You are on Kiss. You've got Mikey. You've got Nat.
- 46:03Speaker 3: Big announcement this morning, Nat.
- 46:04Speaker 6: Yeah, not Dolly.
- 46:05Speaker 1: This was more yesterday's announcement. Dolly is the announcement of today.
- 46:09Speaker 6: Obviously, she passed. But mine was a bit more of
- 46:10Speaker 6: a happy announcement yesterday. I revealed that I'm pregnant, expecting
- 46:14Speaker 6: my first child.
- 46:15Speaker 3: On Instagram, you did that.
- 46:17Speaker 14: I did.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Overnight.
- 46:18Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I told everyone, close friends and family that
- 46:20Speaker 1: needed to know from me personally. And then, you know,
- 46:25Speaker 1: obviously I had to tell work and things like that.
- 46:27Speaker 1: But then after that, everyone else just finds out through
- 46:29Speaker 1: Instagram these days. So yeah, I announced it yesterday. A
- 46:32Speaker 1: lot of lovely messages came through, but also some, I
- 46:34Speaker 1: was shocked at some people's reaction.
- 46:37Speaker 3: To the news. To you being pregnant.
- 46:39Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 46:39Speaker 6: So I'll tell you what happened coming up next.
- 46:41Speaker 3: All right. Well, Croat Natas, she likes to be known.
- 46:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 46:47Speaker 3: Favourite nickname.
- 46:48Speaker 4: You announced on Instagram last night, broke the internet, there's
- 46:52Speaker 4: TV cameras downstairs waiting.
- 46:53Speaker 3: To interview you, that you're pregnant.
- 46:56Speaker 6: I am pregnant with my first baby. Thank you very much.
- 47:01Speaker 3: We have many, many questions.
- 47:03Speaker 6: Yes, I'm open for all questions.
- 47:05Speaker 3: And 131065 if you've got a question. Oh, of course. Yes,
- 47:08Speaker 3: call through.
- 47:08Speaker 6: Why not?
- 47:09Speaker 3: But first of all, how did this happen?
- 47:11Speaker 1: Oh, see, how it happens, Mikey, is when a man
- 47:14Speaker 1: and a woman love each other, they have special cuddles.
- 47:17Speaker 6: Oh, unprotected.
- 47:19Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 47:20Speaker 3: Well, on that, I mean, is it earlier than expected?
- 47:24Speaker 3: You're engaged. Yeah. When did you get engaged? A few
- 47:27Speaker 3: months ago?
- 47:27Speaker 6: So I got engaged in May and I would.
- 47:31Speaker 1: Have probably conceived a couple of weeks after that. In
- 47:35Speaker 1: terms of earlier than expected, yes, it wasn't planned. However,
- 47:39Speaker 1: a nice surprise.
- 47:40Speaker 3: You wanted to get married.
- 47:41Speaker 6: I mean, the plan was different.
- 47:42Speaker 1: The plan was, of course, get married. I was talking
- 47:44Speaker 1: about going overseas and travelling. But it's one of those
- 47:47Speaker 1: things where if you asked me when the right time was,
- 47:49Speaker 1: I wouldn't have been able to tell you.
- 47:50Speaker 6: So the right time is just when it happened.
- 47:52Speaker 3: And you make it work. Exactly.
- 47:54Speaker 6: And now we're both really excited and it makes sense now.
- 47:58Speaker 3: What about the wedding then? What are you thinking? Like
- 48:00Speaker 3: you were going to have it, I believe, at the
- 48:02Speaker 3: end of the year.
- 48:02Speaker 6: Yeah, we didn't have..
- 48:05Speaker 1: Plans for a big wedding, so it was something that
- 48:07Speaker 1: I could have probably got together by the end of
- 48:09Speaker 1: the year, but that.
- 48:11Speaker 6: Was the plan. The plan's changed. Now we probably will
- 48:13Speaker 6: get married. I don't know when.
- 48:15Speaker 3: Yeah, because you're going to have the baby and you've
- 48:17Speaker 3: got to settle.
- 48:18Speaker 1: Yeah, and then I'll probably want to try and lose
- 48:22Speaker 1: some of the baby weight and do things because you
- 48:23Speaker 1: want to look amazing on your wedding day.
- 48:25Speaker 3: Yeah, could be years away.
- 48:27Speaker 11: I think it's really cool that the baby's going to
- 48:29Speaker 11: be at the wedding.
- 48:30Speaker 6: I think that's nice too, you know.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Now that that is the way it's going to be,
- 48:33Speaker 1: I think it's really sweet that in photos in the future,
- 48:36Speaker 1: the baby will.
- 48:37Speaker 6: Be a part of it.
- 48:38Speaker 4: Now, you put it up on Insta, so getting a
- 48:39Speaker 4: lot of support, I'm sure. But what about people in
- 48:42Speaker 4: your life? Was anyone, even your oldies, were they a
- 48:45Speaker 4: bit taken aback?
- 48:46Speaker 1: No, they were really happy for me because, I mean,
- 48:48Speaker 1: they love Kane, my fiancé. So I think when I
- 48:51Speaker 1: told them, unexpected, because like I said, I don't think
- 48:54Speaker 1: anyone thought it would happen at this time. But very,
- 48:57Speaker 1: very happy for me. And they know that it's something
- 48:59Speaker 1: I've always wanted. I've always wanted to be a mother.
- 49:01Speaker 1: I've always wanted to get married. So it's all the
- 49:04Speaker 1: things that I've always dreamed of coming true. So everyone's
- 49:07Speaker 1: super happy for me. As was the team here yesterday
- 49:10Speaker 1: when I told them. There was a very funny reaction, though,
- 49:13Speaker 1: from Dan, our video guy.
- 49:15Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 49:16Speaker 6: Because everyone, like, immediately when you tell are trying to
- 49:19Speaker 6: work out where they're and we were talking about the
- 49:21Speaker 6: fact that, you know, I was drinking decaf coffees and stuff,
- 49:24Speaker 6: which I'd never normally do.
- 49:26Speaker 1: But without missing a beat yesterday, I said, oh, a
- 49:29Speaker 1: big announcement from me.
- 49:31Speaker 6: I'm pregnant. And Dan within a second said, that's why
- 49:34Speaker 6: you've been eating so much.
- 49:36Speaker 3: She had three McMuffins yesterday, and I was like, wow,
- 49:40Speaker 3: she's really hungry.
- 49:41Speaker 6: And we're really putting it away.
- 49:42Speaker 3: Wasn't she mental for the McDonald's yesterday? When's it coming?
- 49:44Speaker 3: When's it coming?
- 49:44Speaker 6: You know what it is?
- 49:46Speaker 1: So pregnancy, first trimester particularly, a lot of women experience
- 49:50Speaker 1: extreme nausea. Some women can't even get out of bed.
- 49:53Speaker 6: It's that bad.
- 49:54Speaker 1: Thankfully, I wasn't one of those women. I didn't really
- 49:56Speaker 1: get any nausea at all. My biggest symptom has been
- 50:00Speaker 1: extreme hunger, but to the point where it's like there's
- 50:03Speaker 1: a demon in my body demanding food, and I need
- 50:06Speaker 1: it now.
- 50:07Speaker 3: What are you craving? Anything in particular, or have you
- 50:09Speaker 3: got a crazy craving?
- 50:10Speaker 6: Anything that's not made at home, like takeaway food.
- 50:13Speaker 3: Right, just takeaway, nonstop.
- 50:14Speaker 6: Takeaway food, and also I've noticed I've got some food
- 50:16Speaker 6: aversions as well, and anything where I cook the meat
- 50:19Speaker 6: from raw to... cooked, I can't have. I can't handle
- 50:23Speaker 6: raw meat and then eat it.
- 50:25Speaker 3: Yeah, gotcha. Of course, you did lose a bunch of weight.
- 50:28Speaker 3: Are you now like, oh, screw it, I'm eating for two? Yeah,
- 50:32Speaker 3: I mean, no.
- 50:33Speaker 1: If anything, it's actually been extremely difficult on my body
- 50:36Speaker 1: image and that's probably the biggest mental challenge for me
- 50:39Speaker 1: is I did lose a bunch of weight. And as
- 50:41Speaker 1: any woman who knows the first part of pregnancy before
- 50:44Speaker 1: you get the proper round, cute belly, you're just kind
- 50:47Speaker 1: of fat. and bloated and it's really hard because you
- 50:51Speaker 1: just watching your body become something that you didn't you
- 50:54Speaker 1: don't recognize and it's like you have no choice and
- 50:57Speaker 1: you're not going to starve yourself because you obviously need
- 50:59Speaker 1: to feed your baby yeah you just gotta so it
- 51:01Speaker 1: is really hard and that particularly with no one knowing
- 51:05Speaker 1: it's really difficult like it's a mental thing of like
- 51:07Speaker 1: everyone just thinks i'm getting fat your clothes don't fit
- 51:10Speaker 1: you thankfully i kept some of my fat clothes i'm
- 51:12Speaker 1: back in those guys they're back baby So yeah, that
- 51:16Speaker 1: actually probably has a lot of women I think can relate.
- 51:18Speaker 1: I've had to look up videos to try and help
- 51:21Speaker 1: me in that way because that has been the trickiest
- 51:23Speaker 1: part for me is like adjusting to the fact that
- 51:25Speaker 1: my body's going to change and that's normal because I'm
- 51:27Speaker 1: growing a human.
- 51:29Speaker 3: Gender?
- 51:31Speaker 6: Can I ask that?
- 51:32Speaker 3: You can.
- 51:32Speaker 6: I'm not going to tell you, though. But, yeah, I will.
- 51:34Speaker 3: Non-binary.
- 51:35Speaker 6: At the moment, it's a non-binary baby.
- 51:37Speaker 3: Very woke of you. Very Gen Z.
- 51:40Speaker 6: Oh, so Gen Z, yes. My baby has no gender
- 51:43Speaker 6: at the moment. It will, though.
- 51:45Speaker 3: Well, congratulations.
- 51:46Speaker 4: If you want to have a chat to Nat at
- 51:48Speaker 4: All About That this morning, you can call in on 131065.
- 51:51Speaker 4: We are about to do our pop quiz. Thousands of
- 51:56Speaker 4: bucks up for grabs every morning. You'll need this, Nat.
- 51:58Speaker 3: Kids are expensive. Oh, yeah. All right, the pop quiz.
- 52:01Speaker 3: Let's do it. You want to play?
- 52:02Speaker 4: Call in right now. 131065 to get on for our
- 52:06Speaker 4: pop quiz.
- 52:07Speaker 3: Good luck. Kiss, kiss. All right, here we go.
- 52:10Speaker 4: We give away thousands every morning with our pop quiz.
- 52:13Speaker 4: Another chance to play now. Here's Kiara.
- 52:16Speaker 3: Good morning. Morning.
- 52:18Speaker 5: Hello?
- 52:19Speaker 3: Oh, you are live on air, Kiara. Oh, I hope
- 52:21Speaker 3: you're paying attention. Yeah.
- 52:22Speaker 4: No, no, I am.
- 52:23Speaker 10: I'm sorry.
- 52:24Speaker 6: That's all right. Okay, how are we?
- 52:27Speaker 9: I am.
- 52:27Speaker 3: Okay, you pulled over. You're going to pay attention?
- 52:31Speaker 10: Yes, yes.
- 52:31Speaker 8: All right.
- 52:32Speaker 3: Good luck.
- 52:32Speaker 6: I'm not sure how truthful she's being, but that's all right.
- 52:35Speaker 6: She's her own worst enemy because it will make it harder.
- 52:37Speaker 10: I'm about to turn in the driveway.
- 52:39Speaker 3: All right.
- 52:39Speaker 6: Well, I've got to.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Start the game.
- 52:42Speaker 10: Yes, go, go, go.
- 52:43Speaker 6: I've got to start the game right now, Chiara.
- 52:44Speaker 3: Yes, that's okay.
- 52:46Speaker 6: That's all right. Question number one. I'm loving it is
- 52:48Speaker 6: the catchphrase for which fast food restaurant?
- 52:54Speaker 8: Oh, my God.
- 52:56Speaker 6: She's trying to find her driveway. I'm loving it. Just
- 53:02Speaker 6: say pass if you don't know.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Macca's, Macca's.
- 53:04Speaker 6: All right.
- 53:05Speaker 10: I knew I knew it.
- 53:06Speaker 6: That's all right. Let's have a chat.
- 53:07Speaker 1: Destiny hopes Cyrus is the birth name of which pop star?
- 53:12Speaker 7: Oh, I definitely hope Cyrus.
- 53:13Speaker 3: Cyrus.
- 53:14Speaker 10: My only Cyrus sister. Pass.
- 53:18Speaker 6: Name a movie starring Jason Momoa.
- 53:21Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 53:23Speaker 6: You can't have someone help you in the background, Eva.
- 53:25Speaker 6: Come on. No worries, I'm alone.
- 53:27Speaker 14: Pass.
- 53:28Speaker 6: All right, at which supermarket can you get Disney Ooshies from?
- 53:34Speaker 10: Coles.
- 53:36Speaker 6: Which socialite made the catchphrase, that's hot, famous?
- 53:41Speaker 5: That's hot.
- 53:42Speaker 3: Paris Hilton.
- 53:43Speaker 6: Outlook and Teams are both owned by which software company?
- 53:47Speaker 3: Sorry, what? Pardon?
- 53:49Speaker 6: Outlook and Teams are both owned by which? It doesn't matter.
- 53:53Speaker 6: That was Microsoft.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Microsoft.
- 53:55Speaker 6: Hey, really important.
- 53:57Speaker 3: Really important. Have you pulled into your spot?
- 54:00Speaker 10: Yes.
- 54:01Speaker 3: Is it you're reversing or go forward?
- 54:04Speaker 10: Pardon?
- 54:05Speaker 3: Reverse in or go forward? I went forward. You went forward.
- 54:07Speaker 9: Okay.
- 54:08Speaker 3: That's all I care about.
- 54:09Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 54:09Speaker 6: Okay, thank you.
- 54:10Speaker 3: I like to reverse in.
- 54:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I do too.
- 54:13Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 54:14Speaker 6: In fact, much prefer to reverse in because then when
- 54:16Speaker 6: you're driving out, much easier.
- 54:17Speaker 2: I know.
- 54:17Speaker 3: I always used to be a puller-innerer.
- 54:19Speaker 6: Oh, I never was a puller-innerer.
- 54:21Speaker 10: Oh, no, I'm always a reverser. Never, ever pull in.
- 54:23Speaker 3: Well, you got that one right.
- 54:24Speaker 6: But I know I'm in a driveway, so it doesn't
- 54:26Speaker 6: make a difference.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:29Speaker 10: I'm in a long driveway.
- 54:30Speaker 5: I work at, like, someone's, yeah, at home.
- 54:32Speaker 3: At our home.
- 54:33Speaker 6: Oh, you work at someone's, oh, at home, yeah.
- 54:35Speaker 3: You work at someone's home.
- 54:36Speaker 9: Yeah, like..
- 54:37Speaker 10: Yes, yes.
- 54:38Speaker 5: It sounds weird.
- 54:38Speaker 10: It's a business admin, but the office is at their yard.
- 54:42Speaker 4: So you've got to pull into the driveway, like a
- 54:45Speaker 4: long driveway.
- 54:46Speaker 3: Yes, that's right.
- 54:47Speaker 10: Is it a battle axe?
- 54:48Speaker 7: Yes, that's correct. So that's why I pulled in this time. Otherwise,
- 54:51Speaker 7: always reverse.
- 54:52Speaker 1: You know what type of driveways I really like? The
- 54:55Speaker 1: ones where you drive and then there's like a U
- 54:57Speaker 1: and you can drive out.
- 54:58Speaker 6: They have that here where it goes.
- 55:02Speaker 3: Oh, that's why you could pull in because you could
- 55:04Speaker 3: just pull out.
- 55:04Speaker 6: You could just pull out sideways.
- 55:05Speaker 10: Go right around.
- 55:06Speaker 3: Okay.
- 55:07Speaker 10: All right.
- 55:07Speaker 3: Well, you didn't win the $ 1, 000.
- 55:08Speaker 10: No.
- 55:08Speaker 6: Of course. That was horrible.
- 55:11Speaker 1: Yeah, you only got two questions correct. Now, Destiny Hope Cyrus,
- 55:14Speaker 1: believe it or not, is Miley Cyrus' real name. Movie
- 55:17Speaker 1: starring Jason Momoa, you could have said Aquaman, Minecraft, Dune,
- 55:20Speaker 1: Fast 10. The supermarket that sells Disney or She's Not Coles,
- 55:24Speaker 1: it's Woolies. And then, yeah, you got the last one,
- 55:27Speaker 1: Microsoft having Outlook and Teams, but you're a bit too late.
- 55:30Speaker 3: The main thing is you've pulled up at work.
- 55:35Speaker 6: Yeah, and you're not late for work.
- 55:37Speaker 10: I guess I'm getting paid. Oh, I am late.
- 55:39Speaker 3: Oh, you are? Well, you're meant to start at 8.
- 55:43Speaker 10: Yeah, I was.
- 55:43Speaker 3: Yeah, 16 past eight right now.
- 55:45Speaker 6: That's fine.
- 55:46Speaker 10: That's all right.
- 55:47Speaker 3: You've got 16 minutes late.
- 55:49Speaker 6: Yeah, it's about how late I am every day.
- 55:51Speaker 10: I've noticed. I'll tell them this story. They'll be all right.
- 55:54Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 55:54Speaker 6: Tell them you did terribly.
- 55:55Speaker 3: Sorry for wasting everyone's time. They can listen back if
- 55:59Speaker 3: you want to hear it. I like you, Kiara. You're fun.
- 56:01Speaker 3: The Kiss Breakfast podcast on iHeart so you can hear
- 56:04Speaker 3: it back. 100%.
- 56:04Speaker 13: Play it back to them today.
- 56:06Speaker 6: All right, let's push on.
- 56:07Speaker 14: Bye, Kiara.
- 56:07Speaker 3: Have a good day.
- 56:09Speaker 10: Thank you.
- 56:09Speaker 3: Bye-bye. You too.
- 56:10Speaker 6: All right, next we're going to do the intervention.
- 56:13Speaker 1: So one of our listeners is going to confront one
- 56:15Speaker 1: of her best friends who's been doing something that she
- 56:18Speaker 1: does not agree with and she wants it to end immediately.
- 56:21Speaker 6: That's coming up after Ariana Grande.
- 56:24Speaker 3: You're on Kiss.
- 56:26Speaker 6: The intervention. We're going to speak to Emma in a
- 56:29Speaker 6: second because she's got a big problem with something that
- 56:32Speaker 6: her friend Sophie is doing specifically to do with who
- 56:36Speaker 6: she's been seeing romantically.
- 56:38Speaker 3: Emma's got a problem with who Sophie is seeing.
- 56:41Speaker 1: Yes, and I know before you jump down my throat
- 56:43Speaker 1: because men don't get involved in their mates' romantic lives,
- 56:47Speaker 1: but I think you'll have an opinion on this one
- 56:48Speaker 1: because it.
- 56:49Speaker 6: Is morally wrong.
- 56:50Speaker 3: Okay.
- 56:50Speaker 6: So let's talk to Emma and find out more.
- 56:53Speaker 3: Hey, Em. Hello.
- 56:54Speaker 14: Hello.
- 56:54Speaker 7: Hey, guys. Hi.
- 56:56Speaker 3: Hello.
- 56:56Speaker 1: So tell us, what's your friend Sophie doing that you
- 56:59Speaker 1: don't agree with?
- 57:01Speaker 7: Well, I'm a little bit nervous about this, and you
- 57:05Speaker 7: probably will understand why, because it's pretty big. But basically,
- 57:09Speaker 7: Sophie told me a little while ago that she'd actually
- 57:13Speaker 7: been sleeping with a married man who she works with.
- 57:17Speaker 3: Oh. That's not really..
- 57:18Speaker 10: Yeah. Yeah.
- 57:20Speaker 3: It's not great, but it's not really your business, is it?
- 57:23Speaker 7: Well, it's not, but I'd say the only reason I
- 57:28Speaker 7: think I do want to confront her about it is
- 57:30Speaker 7: because it's been going on for six months. So apparently
- 57:33Speaker 7: she only told me about it recently and it just
- 57:35Speaker 7: hasn't sat right with me since she told me, but
- 57:38Speaker 7: she said it started innocently that they were floating a
- 57:41Speaker 7: lot and then they hooked up and it was only
- 57:43Speaker 7: a one night thing. So I was like, okay, that's
- 57:46Speaker 7: one thing, not great, but still, but then I think
- 57:49Speaker 7: she just felt bad about that and came clean with
- 57:52Speaker 7: me a bit more afterwards with a bit more detail.
- 57:54Speaker 7: But in fact, they've continued sleeping together for six months
- 57:57Speaker 7: and that's what's made me now go, I don't know
- 57:59Speaker 7: about this.
- 58:00Speaker 1: Does your friend Sophie believe that she's got like a
- 58:04Speaker 1: future with this man or is she just doing it
- 58:06Speaker 1: as a bit of fun?
- 58:07Speaker 6: Like where's her head at?
- 58:09Speaker 7: Yeah, I think she thinks there's a future. So again,
- 58:12Speaker 7: not that it's right. If it was a one night thing,
- 58:14Speaker 7: she had a bit of fun. People make mistakes, but
- 58:16Speaker 7: she really likes this guy. She's telling me she's never
- 58:19Speaker 7: met anyone so hot. They've gone on some really fun dates.
- 58:22Speaker 7: They're obviously, she's enjoying the chemistry, but she thinks he's
- 58:26Speaker 7: going to eventually leave his wife and be with her,
- 58:28Speaker 7: but they haven't actually had that conversation yet. To the
- 58:30Speaker 7: best of my knowledge.
- 58:31Speaker 1: So it's kind of twofold here. It's like you think
- 58:33Speaker 1: she's doing the wrong thing, but also you're like, you're
- 58:35Speaker 1: an idiot. You kind of want her to wake up
- 58:37Speaker 1: to herself because you're kind of hearing this, seeing this
- 58:40Speaker 1: without emotions attached on your end going, if the guy
- 58:43Speaker 1: wanted to leave his wife, he would have done it.
- 58:45Speaker 1: But also I want to know, I think it's important.
- 58:46Speaker 1: Are there kids involved in his family situation as well?
- 58:50Speaker 7: No, thank God. There's no kids. But I still think
- 58:56Speaker 7: that it is twofold because it's like you're doing this
- 58:59Speaker 7: to another woman. What if that was me? How could
- 59:01Speaker 7: you do that to another woman? But also, I do
- 59:04Speaker 7: think she's setting herself up for heartbreak and she is
- 59:07Speaker 7: one of my best friends.
- 59:09Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Well mikey's like not under i can tell by his
- 59:11Speaker 1: face he still doesn't understand why he thinks it's your
- 59:13Speaker 1: business but i think as women we like to align
- 59:16Speaker 1: ourselves with other women who have the same morals and
- 59:19Speaker 1: the same integrity as us so the fact that this
- 59:22Speaker 1: friend of yours who's a good friend of yours is
- 59:24Speaker 1: doing something you don't agree with am i right in
- 59:26Speaker 1: saying that if she doesn't decide to end this and
- 59:29Speaker 1: she continues doing this to another woman it's someone you
- 59:31Speaker 1: don't really want to be friends with maybe Well.
- 59:34Speaker 7: Yeah, that is sort of where we're at. And it
- 59:36Speaker 7: is disappointing. She is a good friend. We've been friends
- 59:39Speaker 7: for years, but this has just felt like I've lost
- 59:41Speaker 7: sleep over this. I can't stop thinking about it because
- 59:43Speaker 7: it just doesn't feel right at all.
- 59:45Speaker 6: I get it. I get it.
- 59:47Speaker 1: I mean, Mikey, you're sitting there and you're probably what
- 59:49Speaker 1: you're thinking is reflective of what a lot of men think.
- 59:52Speaker 6: Like it's not your business.
- 59:53Speaker 3: None of my business.
- 59:53Speaker 6: But women, we act differently.
- 59:55Speaker 1: We're very empathetic and we feel things for different people,
- 59:58Speaker 1: even if it is the stranger who's being cheated on
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: by her husband.
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: And losing sleep over it.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: So this is kind of like the final straw, your
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: last-ditch attempt to kind of say, end this.
- 1:00:07Speaker 6: Thing, or, like, are you not going to be a
- 1:00:09Speaker 6: friend anymore? Like, you just won't support her anymore?
- 1:00:12Speaker 7: I don't see how I could be friends with someone
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: that's doing what she's doing.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: Okay, so you're going to confront her and tell her
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: to stop doing it or you're not going to be
- 1:00:20Speaker 4: a friend.
- 1:00:20Speaker 6: It's an intervention.
- 1:00:22Speaker 7: Oh, it sounds really bad, but pretty much.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: No, well, you have the right to be friends with
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: people who you, you know, you align with. And if
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: you're not aligning with Sophie, that's fair enough.
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: But we'll see.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Maybe this is the wake-up call she needs. Maybe she
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: needs a bit of cruel-to-be-kind behaviour.
- 1:00:37Speaker 14: I hope so.
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: I really hope so.
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: All right, we'll do that next, right after Shawn Mendes.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Okay, we were just talking to Emma, who's phoned through
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: because she's got a problem with one of her closest friends, Sophie. So,
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Sophie has been rooting. A married man.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: That she works with.
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean, I could have said anything.
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: But anyway, so basically, she doesn't agree with what she's doing.
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: So..
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: She's going to do a little bit of an intervention
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: live on air this morning where she will kind of say,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: you know, wake up to yourself or basically this friendship
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: between you and I is over because I don't approve
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: of what you're doing.
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: Is that right, Emma?
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: Yep, that's pretty much right.
- 1:01:21Speaker 6: She must be nervous right now because you're about to
- 1:01:22Speaker 6: confront her.
- 1:01:23Speaker 7: I'm pretty nervous.
- 1:01:24Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: I mean, just back yourself.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: At the end of the day, Mikey can say it's
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: none of your business, but this is important to you.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: And I think if it's important to you, then therefore
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: you have the right to stand up for what you
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: believe in and you don't believe what she's doing is right.
- 1:01:39Speaker 7: Exactly, and it's not good for her either.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: Right, so you're doing it for her. Well, we have
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: got a hold of Sophie. She doesn't know what's been
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: going on here.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: We're just going to let you take it away and
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: we'll let you deal with this whole thing.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: We'll be here if you need us. Yep, so Sophie, hello,
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: good morning.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Hi.
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: Hello, you're on with your friend Emma, okay? Oh, hey, Emma.
- 1:02:01Speaker 7: Hi. Hey Soph, how are you?
- 1:02:04Speaker 11: I'm good, how are you?
- 1:02:07Speaker 14: I'm okay.
- 1:02:09Speaker 7: You sound nervous, you're probably wondering why I've set this up.
- 1:02:14Speaker 7: I'm just going to rip the band-aid off. Sophie, you
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: are one of my best friends. I care about you
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: a lot. We've been friends for a long time and
- 1:02:23Speaker 7: the reason that I have set this up today is
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: because You have told me about the relationship that you're
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: currently in, and I need you to know I not
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: only do not approve of this relationship, but I think
- 1:02:38Speaker 7: for you and your life and your well-being and what
- 1:02:41Speaker 7: you deserve, you need to end this relationship. And if
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: you don't think you can, I do think it's going
- 1:02:48Speaker 7: to impact on our friendship.
- 1:02:52Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:02:54Speaker 10: Okay, that's a lot to unpack right now.
- 1:02:59Speaker 7: I know.
- 1:03:00Speaker 14: Wow.
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: For you, I want so much more to you than this.
- 1:03:07Speaker 7: It has been six months. I don't think he's leaving
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: the person that he's with. I think you deserve a
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: lot better than this. And I think you're much better
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: than this. We're not friends with girls that do this.
- 1:03:21Speaker 13: I just don't think that it's any of anyone's business really.
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: Like, well, it's not, not until you've sort of made
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: it my business by telling me and I told you because.
- 1:03:36Speaker 10: You're my friend and like, I respect your opinion, I guess.
- 1:03:43Speaker 5: But like at the end of the day, it's not
- 1:03:45Speaker 5: your life.
- 1:03:46Speaker 10: It's mine.
- 1:03:48Speaker 7: And you don't think you deserve better in your life
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: than being with someone who is married?
- 1:03:53Speaker 10: You don't know what our relationship is like.
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: Sure, so he's going to leave his wife. Do you think?
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: I think he is, yeah.
- 1:04:01Speaker 10: Yeah, I think he is.
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: Sorry, Nat here, if I can interject for a second.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: What has he said to you to make you believe
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: that he is going to leave his wife and that,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: you know, the current situation maybe is temporary?
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: Um..
- 1:04:16Speaker 10: Basically, he has said that he loves me.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: I just want to know, though, Sophie, do you feel
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: bad about the fact that there's another woman who's going
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: to be completely hurt and blindsided by what you're doing?
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: Let's say he does leave her. Do you not think
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: about her and how she feels, or is that also
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: none of your business?
- 1:04:39Speaker 10: I don't think that's any of my business, really. I
- 1:04:42Speaker 10: don't think, if it wasn't me, it would be somebody else.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: So you don't care about the wife at all?
- 1:04:47Speaker 10: Well, their relationship isn't really my business.
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: But Sophie, you just said it then. If it's not you,
- 1:04:54Speaker 7: it's someone else. That's not screaming that this guy is
- 1:04:57Speaker 7: committed to being in a relationship with you.
- 1:04:59Speaker 10: I mean, I just don't think he's committed to being
- 1:05:03Speaker 10: in a relationship with her.
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: Well, it doesn't sound like we're getting through to Sophie here, Emma.
- 1:05:09Speaker 6: So what does this mean for you?
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: Because it seems to upset you a lot and it
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: doesn't appear that you can be friends with Sophie if
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: she continues this. So is this kind of you calling
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: it quits on the friendship then?
- 1:05:19Speaker 7: I kind of, I hate to say it, but I
- 1:05:22Speaker 7: think so. Sophie, I just feel like I don't really
- 1:05:25Speaker 7: recognize who you are right now. I just don't think
- 1:05:29Speaker 7: I can have someone that would do this to another
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: woman as a close friend. I mean, what's to stop
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: you doing it to any of our girlfriends or to me?
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: It just feels icky and I'm, yeah, I don't know
- 1:05:38Speaker 7: what to say right now. I'm quite surprised at you.
- 1:05:41Speaker 3: So that's it? So friendship over?
- 1:05:43Speaker 6: I mean, after all that, it seems like she's going
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: to continue sleeping with this man, and Emma, it doesn't
- 1:05:48Speaker 6: sound like you're going to continue your friendship with Sophie.
- 1:05:51Speaker 7: No, I don't think I can.
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: Sophie?
- 1:05:55Speaker 10: I don't know what to say, honestly.
- 1:05:57Speaker 7: This is f * * * ed up.
- 1:06:03Speaker 10: I just wish that, Emma, you would respect how I
- 1:06:06Speaker 10: feel in this situation. It's all about the other woman.
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: What about me?
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: Well, I am thinking of you. That's the thing. I
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: just think you're going to get hurt as well.
- 1:06:17Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: I see how it is.
- 1:06:18Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: Oh, okay. We'll leave that one there.
- 1:06:23Speaker 4: You girls can, well, no, you can't have a chat
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: off air because they're not going to talk anymore.
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 1:06:30Speaker 6: Yeah. It's just really a no win there.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: I don't think. I mean, the guy's a winner.
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: Not really.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: He's a loser. Celeb news coming up with Nat. What
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: do you got?
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: Yeah, so really tragic news this morning. Dolly Parton, the icon,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: has passed away at 80 years old. Everything we know
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: so far coming up next.
- 1:06:47Speaker 7: K-I-I-S.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: Alright, good morning.
- 1:06:49Speaker 4: Sean, did we have a technical error there where we
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: are getting the wrong news?
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: Can I confirm that with our team?
- 1:06:55Speaker 9: Yeah, I think the gold newsreader has ended. We've crossed wires.
- 1:06:58Speaker 4: Okay, there's been a cross. Well, I hope you enjoyed
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: the gold news this morning. Sean is most certainly here.
- 1:07:04Speaker 6: Sean's very stressed in there.
- 1:07:06Speaker 3: You alright, Sean? It's okay.
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: He doesn't have headphones on. He's frazzled, Mike.
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: It's just the wrong news, mate. It doesn't matter.
- 1:07:13Speaker 6: I mean, the news is still correct news.
- 1:07:15Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: It's just it wasn't ours.
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: It's just longer and longer. It's coming from... Sean, you're back.
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: I'm back, so..
- 1:07:20Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: Yeah, it came from gold.
- 1:07:21Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:07:22Speaker 11: It's coming from..
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: It's all right. It's okay. You are very fresh.
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: Anyway, hope you enjoyed listening to gold news this morning
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: here on KISS.
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: Does that mean they're getting your news?
- 1:07:31Speaker 6: Who knows?
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Well, no, because he's talking to us right now.
- 1:07:34Speaker 11: I think somewhere down in Melbourne, the wrong button was pressed.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: That's all I'm saying.
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: And they broadcast... On to Kiss in Melbourne and Sydney.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: Yeah, well. Probably no one noticed anyway.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: Okay, we're going to get a hit of celebrity news
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: with Nat.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I reckon someone was driving going, where's Sean? Yeah, no,
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: coming up in my celeb news, I've got an update
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: from the wife of Brisbane Lions player Lockheed Neal, who
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: was involved in that cheating scandal earlier this year. Jules
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Neal has done a podcast, her side of the story,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: coming up.
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: Next in Celeb Hit right here on Kiss.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: Mikey, Nat here. We're taking your last calls. 131065. Hello, Polly. Morning. Hello.
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: What do you want to talk about?
- 1:08:17Speaker 13: I was listening to the intervention before and I have
- 1:08:20Speaker 13: a very similar story.
- 1:08:22Speaker 6: That's current. Oh, yes.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: We had two friends on air before. One was giving
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: a bit of an intervention to the other. because she
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: didn't agree with the fact that her friend was sleeping
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: with a married man.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: That she worked with. It was Sophie. Sophie's sleeping with
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: a married man, and Emma was confronting her.
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: Yes, it didn't go down well. The friendship basically ended
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: in tears, live on air.
- 1:08:44Speaker 6: What are your thoughts on.
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: That, Polly?
- 1:08:47Speaker 5: Yes, I'm in a very similar situation. A very close
- 1:08:50Speaker 5: friend of mine told me about a year ago that
- 1:08:54Speaker 5: she was sleeping with her boss.
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: Oh, The boss is an extra layer too.
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: I know, right? Position of power.
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: But what do you do, Polly?
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: Do you just support her?
- 1:09:07Speaker 5: I thought it would fizzle.
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:10Speaker 5: But two months ago she told me she was pregnant.
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: With the boss?
- 1:09:15Speaker 5: Yes.
- 1:09:16Speaker 6: And she's keeping it?
- 1:09:18Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:09:19Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: And has this boss left his wife or is he
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: still with the wife and she's pregnant in secret and
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: it's all one big mess?
- 1:09:28Speaker 5: Uh, separated but living together until she found out about
- 1:09:32Speaker 5: the baby it's such.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: A mess but again it's not your problem polly no
- 1:09:36Speaker 3: it's your friend's problem.
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: It's her problem correct but also when we see things
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: as women that we don't believe in we we do
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: like to stand.
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: Up for the brightest yeah but it's.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Because someone is doing something wrong by someone else and
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: we don't like to sit idly by and not say
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: anything we like to try and do the right thing
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: even if it is by a stranger.
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: Fiona's got a comment on that as well. Hi, Fiona.
- 1:09:59Speaker 10: Hi.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: Yeah, go for it.
- 1:10:03Speaker 13: I think Emma is amazing for standing in her convictions
- 1:10:06Speaker 13: and standing up for what is right.
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:12Speaker 13: At the end of the day, Emma did hit the
- 1:10:14Speaker 13: nail on the head by saying, what's to stop Sophie
- 1:10:17Speaker 13: from doing it to one of her friends or even
- 1:10:20Speaker 13: to Emma herself?
- 1:10:22Speaker 4: Right, so if Sophie's going to sleep with a married man,
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: she can end up doing it to Emma.
- 1:10:25Speaker 6: Well, and you know what? Yeah, I wouldn't trust a
- 1:10:28Speaker 6: friend who was doing that around my partner.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: Oh, really?
- 1:10:31Speaker 6: Yeah, no way.
- 1:10:32Speaker 3: You think they're going to hit on my partner?
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: There is no difference between me and the poor woman
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: that she's doing it to at the moment. It's just
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: you either have morals or you don't. And it sounds
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: like in this case, Sophie just doesn't seem to care
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: about who stands in her way when she has feelings
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: for someone.
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: If you want to hear that whole intervention back, by
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: the way, you can get the Kiss Breakfast podcast on
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: the free iHeart app.
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: Yeah, you can.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: That's it for today. Another huge show on the way tomorrow, though.
- 1:10:58Speaker 14: Yeah, man.

- 1:11:10Speaker 3: How good is Young Gravy? You'll know him from..
- 1:11:14Speaker 7: Never take a L, no.
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: Oh, Dr.
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: Kiss, going to do your medical questions?
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: Yeah, Dr. Kiss will be in studio, free of charge,

- 1:11:44Speaker 3: free for all. Okay.

- 1:11:53Speaker 4: all right? Call 131065 when you hear it. Gordie's up next.

- 1:12:00Speaker 6: Thank you. Yeah, I did a good job.
- 1:12:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:12:02Speaker 6: So did my partner.
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: Well, you did a little too good a job.
- 1:12:05Speaker 11: Oh.
- 1:12:07Speaker 3: Yep.
- 1:12:08Speaker 6: See you.
- 1:12:09Speaker 3: Bye.
