A 12-year-old in Tulsa lost his hand in a horrific fireworks explosion on July 1st around 10:20 PM — the blast, described as a grenade-style mortar, also injured an 11-year-old who was nearby. Witnesses say the older boy was holding the firework for the younger one to light when it detonated. Both were rushed to hospitals, with the 12-year-old now in Oklahoma City for critical care.
