- 0:02While the mind does not generally recognize the
- 0:04consciousness of the body, it remains true that the body has
- 0:09its own ability to respond to circumstances.
- 0:14For those who have a highly developed mental or vital being,
- 0:18these powers frequently override the natural responsiveness of
- 0:22the body when we look at the animal Kingdom, for instance.
- 0:26We see that if a dog or cat is ill or out of sorts, it tends to
- 0:31find its solution in letting the body rest, or even finding the
- 0:36right plant or herb that it needs at that moment, if such is
- 0:40available. This is not based on some kind
- 0:43of mental thought process, but an innate sense of the body of
- 0:49the animal to gravitate toward whatever will bring it back into
- 0:53balance. We can contrast this with the
- 0:57mental approach, where we begin to consider what is causing an
- 1:00illness or physical state of imbalance.
- 1:03And then we either tend to overpower the body by continuing
- 1:07to make demands on it when it really needs rest and care, or
- 1:12else by trying to micromanage the body's response to the
- 1:16situation by inserting treatments, dietary changes, or
- 1:21medical operations. To try to fix whatever is out of
- 1:25balance. In many instances there are
- 1:29unintended consequences that occur what are frequently called
- 1:34side effects to the treatment, and in many cases the cure is
- 1:40worse than the disease. The internal operations of the
- 1:45body are not directly understood or even viewed by the mental
- 1:48consciousness. The body consciousness seems to
- 1:52do best for the most part, when it is allowed to use its innate
- 1:56sense to try to maintain and restore what is called in
- 2:00medical terminology, homeostasis, which is in common
- 2:05terms maintaining and restoring a state of balance, with the
- 2:09body functioning according to its expected ways.
- 2:14Thus, if the blood chemistry is getting out of balance, for
- 2:17instance. The body automatically takes
- 2:20steps to try to restore that balance through an offsetting
- 2:24chemical response, either a craving for a certain food or
- 2:29other internal change that addresses whatever is going
- 2:32wrong. The mother adds another element,
- 2:37which is the simple aspiration and surrender of the body cells.
- 2:41When not interfered with by the mind or the vital demands, the
- 2:46body aspires for health. Energy, Wellness, vibrancy and
- 2:52automatically turns, as a sunflower does, to the sun
- 2:57toward the source of health, the mother writes.
- 3:02Quote In the body, for instance, when there is something like an
- 3:07attack, an accident, an illness, trying to come in something, an
- 3:12attack on the body, a body that is left to its natural
- 3:16spontaneity has an urge. And aspiration.
- 3:20A spontaneous will to call for help.
- 3:24But as soon as the affair goes to the head, it takes the form
- 3:27of things to which one is accustomed.
- 3:31Everything is spoiled. But if the body is seen in
- 3:35itself just as it is, there is something which suddenly wakes
- 3:40up and calls for help. And with such a faith, such an
- 3:44intensity. Just as the tiny little baby
- 3:48calls its Mama, you know, or whoever is there, it says
- 3:52nothing if it cannot speak. But the body left to itself
- 3:57without this kind of constant action of the mind upon it,
- 4:01well, it has this as soon as there is some disturbance,
- 4:06immediately it has an aspiration, a call, an effort to
- 4:11seek help, and this is very powerful.
- 4:15If nothing intervenes, it is very powerful.
- 4:18It is as though the cells themselves sprang up in an
- 4:22aspiration, a call in the body. There are invaluable and unknown
- 4:29treasures in all its cells. There is an intensity of life,
- 4:34of aspiration, of the will to progress, which one does not
- 4:39usually even realize. The body consciousness would
- 4:43have to be completely warped by the action of the mind, and
- 4:47vital for it not to have an immediate will to reestablish
- 4:52the equilibrium. When this will is not there, it
- 4:56means that the entire body consciousness has been spoiled
- 5:00by the intervention of the mind, and vital in people who cherish
- 5:05their malady more or less subconsciously with a sort of
- 5:08morbidity. Under the pretext that it makes
- 5:11them interesting, it is not their body at all, poor body.
- 5:16It is something they have imposed upon it with a mental or
- 5:20vital perversion. The body, if left to itself, is
- 5:24remarkable, for not only does it aspire for equilibrium and
- 5:29wellbeing, but it is capable of restoring the balance if one
- 5:35leaves one's body alone without intervening with all those
- 5:38thoughts. All the vital reactions, all the
- 5:41depressions, and also all the socalled knowledge and mental
- 5:46constructions and fears. If one leaves the body to itself
- 5:51spontaneously, it will do what is necessary to set itself right
- 5:55again. The body and its natural state
- 5:59likes equilibrium, likes harmony, and it is the other
- 6:04parts of the being which spoil everything.
