  Hey everybody, good morning from the chicken coop.

  So the heat is on here and I mean hot and it feels really
• 0:34
  hot. And we had to put shades up in
• 0:38
  the chicken coop that come off of the main doors so that it
• 0:42
  like breaks the sun from coming and pouring into the coop.
• 0:45
  And it's it. We used to have them up before,
• 0:49
  but we had a big hurricane and you know, the stuff blew down
• 0:52
  and we just didn't put it back up 'cause it was winter and
• 0:55
  didn't need them. So today the actually yesterday
• 1:00
  we put them up and today the girls are like really noticing
• 1:03
  them. They're coming out, they're
• 1:04
  standing here, they're looking at them, they're trying to
• 1:07
  decide and they're viewing it as like, hmm, should we walk out
• 1:11
  the door? Should we go in the door?
• 1:13
  There's like lots of checking it out and just standing and
• 1:15
  pausing, which I think is very funny because they've seen them
• 1:18
  before, but they're still cautious of it.
• 1:21
  And it always reminds me when they do this of how humans show
• 1:25
  up. Because of course, Amelia,
• 1:27
  you've all heard me talk about Amelia before.
• 1:30
  She's like the head hen. She's not a rooster, but she's a
• 1:33
  head hen. And all the other hens kind of
• 1:35
  follow her. So when she just comes down her
• 1:37
  little ladder and she walks right out the door and she just
• 1:39
  doesn't even give it a second thought.
• 1:41
  Then the rest of them go, oh, it's OK.
• 1:44
  Amelia says it's OK, we can go outside too.
• 1:47
  And they follow her lead. And so many times there is.
• 1:53
  This is the human thing, right? We will follow someone whether
• 1:58
  we understand if this person is correct or not.
• 2:02
  I mean, this is how humans get in trouble.
• 2:04
  Think of like the Bernie Madoff situation.
• 2:06
  I always love to use that as an example.
• 2:08
  It's extreme, but think of how many very intelligent people
• 2:12
  gave this man money because he just had this confidence and he
• 2:16
  was like, Oh yeah. And everybody's like, oh, yeah,
• 2:18
  and went along with it. Now, Amelia would be completely
• 2:20
  wrong about these things up there, and she's not, but she
• 2:24
  could be. And the point is, sometimes you
• 2:28
  really have to stop and pause and check things out yourself.

  And I'm watching my girls and I'm like, you're really not
• 2:35
  stopping and checking it out for yourself.
• 2:36
  And don't you think you should make your own decisions?
• 2:39
  And of course, I love to say that to my clients all the time.
• 2:42
  You have to take in the information from other people,
• 2:45
  but ultimately make your own decision.
• 2:47
  Don't allow anybody else to make decisions for you.
• 2:50
  You make decisions on your own based on all of the information
• 2:55
  you collect, not portions of it, not just the emotion, not just
• 2:58
  the analytics, but all of it. I mean, this is a balance.

  It's a balance. So as I sit here and and I watch
• 3:07
  them still standing here, there's a group of them.
• 3:10
  They followed her out, but now they're underneath it and they
• 3:12
  keep looking up and they keep babbling.
• 3:15
  You can hear them. They're like right next to me
• 3:17
  looking up at it being like, what the heck is going on with
• 3:20
  this? It kind of looks like wings.
• 3:22
  So it might be that they are thinking there's something
• 3:25
  gigantic wing creature up there. I don't know.
• 3:29
  But what I do know is it's a great example for us as human
• 3:33
  beings to remember. When you're following somebody,
• 3:36
  be sure you know who you are following.
• 3:39
  Be sure you understand and you've done your own research,
• 3:42
  get your information together. Nothing is more important than
• 3:46
  that. And clearly Sammy has a lot to
• 3:48
  say about this, so I hope this is a quick 1 today because I
