What type of love do you have for Jesus?

In today’s Gospel, Jesus asks Peter three times:

“Do you love me?”

But in the original Greek, something powerful is happening.

Jesus first asks Peter:

➡️ “Do you agape me?”

— Are you willing to love me sacrificially?

— Are you willing to give everything for me?

But Peter responds:

➡️ “I love you like a brother.”

And amazingly…

Jesus meets Peter where he is.
