- 0:02Speaker 1: Because you had a bad day, tear your one down
- 0:06Speaker 1: saying the sad.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Song, why are you in trouble? You've always got some
- 0:11Speaker 2: explaining to do? What did you do? I'm so close
- 0:15Speaker 2: to Valentine. I know it's just a rough day for
- 0:18Speaker 2: your boy. Here. I'm you know, I'm trying my best.
- 0:21Speaker 1: But I received a text this morning from my wife
- 0:23Speaker 1: at about I don't know, six ten or something like that.
- 0:26Speaker 1: M M. And I see the text and she's like,
- 0:30Speaker 1: did you say goodbye to me this morning?
- 0:33Speaker 3: Like?
- 0:33Speaker 1: Because every day when I wake up, you know, I
- 0:35Speaker 1: go into the bathroom, I brush my teeth, I put
- 0:38Speaker 1: on my clothes, I give my wife a hug and
- 0:41Speaker 1: a kiss, and I say goodbye, and off I go.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I grab my soup and I'm out the door. It's
- 0:45Speaker 1: really about a six minute routine, routine you have. Yeah,
- 0:49Speaker 1: it's pretty simple. But this morning, I get up and I,
- 0:53Speaker 1: you know, brush my teeth, and I.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Go to the bathroom.
- 0:55Speaker 1: I put on my Minnesota Wild hoodie because the US
- 0:58Speaker 1: Olympic hockey team is playing today. And my dog Wanona,
- 1:03Speaker 1: whom we love, who sleeps right between us every night,
- 1:07Speaker 1: jumps out of the bed and I'm thinking, oh, she
- 1:09Speaker 1: must have to go to the bathroom or something like, yeah,
- 1:11Speaker 1: I'll let her out real quick. And I let her out,
- 1:13Speaker 1: and this dog, whom I literally would take a bullet for,
- 1:17Speaker 1: is being just a little fussy kid this morning. You know,
- 1:21Speaker 1: she's okay, she's kind of walking around sort of trying
- 1:24Speaker 1: to eat rabbit poop instead of going to the bathroom.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And it's like, we Nona, can you please just go potty? Yeah,
- 1:31Speaker 1: so I can go to work.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:34Speaker 1: It's a nice ratitat back and forth here, okay, And
- 1:38Speaker 1: so she's just being weird about it, and she finally
- 1:40Speaker 1: goes right, and I'm like, oh man, I gotta get going,
- 1:42Speaker 1: and so I let Wanoona back in the house. Of course,
- 1:45Speaker 1: she runs jumps in the bed. I'm like, all right,
- 1:47Speaker 1: that's taken care of, and I grab my soup. I'm
- 1:49Speaker 1: out the door. I did not say goodbye to my.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Wife this morning.
- 1:54Speaker 1: And normally I can kind of like get a little
- 1:57Speaker 1: bit lucky, and usually she's half asleep when I say by,
- 2:00Speaker 1: and she doesn't really notice. Probably yeah, but she noticed today.
- 2:03Speaker 1: And not only that, she said she had a dream
- 2:06Speaker 1: that made her very upset. So oh no, I am
- 2:10Speaker 1: a doghouse.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Time's two here today.
- 2:13Speaker 3: That's bad because when dream partner does something awful, we
- 2:16Speaker 3: wake up and we're mad at you already.
- 2:18Speaker 2: Yeah, and I have then you didn't say goodbye the audacity, Dave.
- 2:23Speaker 2: How are you gonna make this up toime?
- 2:24Speaker 1: I have no idea. I need some help today, lady.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 2:30Speaker 1: If you have a husband who gets on up, maybe
- 2:32Speaker 1: you don't maybe you don't want to be woken up.
- 2:33Speaker 2: I mean, there's plenty of people like that too.
- 2:35Speaker 1: But if you have a hubby who says goodbye to
- 2:37Speaker 1: you every morning and he forgets, what can he do
- 2:41Speaker 1: to make it up to you? Let me know seven
- 2:43Speaker 1: oh one two eight zero nine eight seven, and we
- 2:47Speaker 1: will have the tea coming up for you next year.
- 2:48Speaker 1: A Big ninety eight point seven.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Nine celebrating life's little victories.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Every morning we practice gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 3:00Speaker 2: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:02Speaker 2: basket job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 3:06Speaker 1: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 3:08Speaker 1: two eight oho one ninety eight seven.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Kids, I also needed to win that day.
- 3:13Speaker 1: And before we get to our little victories, Angie, we
- 3:15Speaker 1: got to give a big shout out to Andrew today.
- 3:17Speaker 1: He's texted us. He said, I want to share my
- 3:19Speaker 1: small win for the day. I finally closed a project.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I was looking for a side hustle that can help
- 3:24Speaker 1: me pay some debts, and I almost lost hope because
- 3:27Speaker 1: I couldn't find any but a client reached out to
- 3:29Speaker 1: me yesterday offering a job. It's literally a small project,
- 3:33Speaker 1: but I'm very happy about it.
- 3:35Speaker 2: I wout it.
- 3:36Speaker 3: That is major.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Good for you, Andrew.
- 3:38Speaker 1: I'd consider that like something a little better than a
- 3:41Speaker 1: little victory.
- 3:41Speaker 2: That's that's a great victory. Good for you, Angie. You
- 3:45Speaker 2: have made your triumphant return. What uh, what is your
- 3:49Speaker 2: little victory today that you're like alive? Well, yeah, that
- 3:53Speaker 2: I'm alive.
- 3:54Speaker 3: Uh No, I am glad though I really needed the
- 3:57Speaker 3: rest your girl was struggling. I got to sleep in
- 4:00Speaker 3: and I'm feeling a little bit more recovered, and so
- 4:03Speaker 3: that's cool. But the real little victory is that I realized.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Love is Blind is back.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Season ten. I am so obsessed with Love is Blind,
- 4:19Speaker 3: even though after season four I think like nobody really
- 4:23Speaker 3: works out anymore. But I'm obsessed with this show, and
- 4:26Speaker 3: I do like I watch it and I do live
- 4:29Speaker 3: commentary on my stories on Instagram at Ajita Parker.
- 4:34Speaker 2: If you're interested.
- 4:36Speaker 3: There's only like seven people that follow me that I
- 4:40Speaker 3: know enjoy these stories and recaps, and so for them,
- 4:44Speaker 3: that's I do it.
- 4:45Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Yeah, for the love of the game. Maybe you hate it,
- 4:48Speaker 3: just tap on through. But Love is Blind is back.
- 4:51Speaker 3: It's already. I mean, it's so great choosing, like who
- 4:55Speaker 3: gives you the ick? Who do you think is gonna
- 4:58Speaker 3: make it? Who can't you believe anyone is actually interested
- 5:02Speaker 3: in It's all very fascinating. And one girl she had
- 5:07Speaker 3: a medical emergency because she accidentally put out my gosh,
- 5:11Speaker 3: saying it makes me want to She accidentally.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Put nail glue in her eyes.
- 5:16Speaker 3: She was trying to put eyedrops in bomber and it
- 5:19Speaker 3: was nail glue instead.
- 5:20Speaker 2: She almost lost her eyesight.
- 5:22Speaker 3: Because she was really committed to Love is Blind.
- 5:27Speaker 2: How long have you been sitting on that? No?
- 5:30Speaker 3: No, in the moment, I came up with the very
- 5:34Speaker 3: obvious joke. But yeah, Love is Blind is back, and
- 5:37Speaker 3: I think that is also healing me.
- 5:39Speaker 2: So that's my little victory. What about you, man?
- 5:42Speaker 1: On the totem pole of our victories, Ange, I love
- 5:45Speaker 1: that one because I know you love it and I
- 5:47Speaker 1: know you love the commentary on Instagram. Yes, I would
- 5:50Speaker 1: of thought, you know, uh sort of reality show would
- 5:54Speaker 1: be so important.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Let me tell you. If your love is blind fan
- 5:58Speaker 3: and you want someone to discover us with, please text
- 6:01Speaker 3: me at seven oh one to two, eight oh one,
- 6:03Speaker 3: nine eight seven.
- 6:04Speaker 2: There's a lot to be said. Yeah, all right, go ahead, Gabe.
- 6:08Speaker 2: What is your little victory?
- 6:09Speaker 1: I kind of mentioned my little victory with the trenders
- 6:13Speaker 1: at the at six o'clock there, but that the Olympic
- 6:16Speaker 1: men's hockey team will take the ice for the first
- 6:18Speaker 1: time today, and that in and of.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Itself is cool.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It's something I've been waiting to watch, and it's been
- 6:22Speaker 1: a lot of fun following the women and the curling team,
- 6:25Speaker 1: and now it's kind of cool to go watch the
- 6:27Speaker 1: men's hockey team. And part of the little victory is
- 6:30Speaker 1: there are a ton of Minnesota Wild players playing in
- 6:34Speaker 1: the Olympics this year.
- 6:35Speaker 2: We have this.
- 6:36Speaker 1: There are three players from the Minnesota Wild who made
- 6:39Speaker 1: the trip and will be playing in the hockey game
- 6:42Speaker 1: in One of them is a Minnesotan.
- 6:44Speaker 2: So he brock Faber who grew.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Up he played for the Gophers and then got traded
- 6:50Speaker 1: eventually before he even joined the NHL and played for
- 6:53Speaker 1: the plays for the Minnesota Wild. So just this Minnesota
- 6:56Speaker 1: kid from Maple Grove, which was a team we played
- 6:59Speaker 1: against all the time in sports.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Oh wow, yeah, so it's really cool.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Just oh hey, this dude who grew up like fifteen
- 7:05Speaker 1: twenty minutes away from where I grew up is going
- 7:08Speaker 1: to represent the United States in the Olympics today. So
- 7:10Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to watching the Minnesota Wild players and
- 7:13Speaker 1: you know, a team in general.
- 7:15Speaker 3: See this is your love is blind And aren't you
- 7:17Speaker 3: wearing Is this a wild jersey you're wearing?
- 7:19Speaker 2: What is this? Well, it's like a wild hoodie.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Yeah, a wild hoodie. This thing is so cool. You're
- 7:24Speaker 3: very invested, very.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Very hockeyed out.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Today there is a story going viral of this man
- 7:32Speaker 1: who and sadly this does happen sometimes, but this man
- 7:37Speaker 1: has this family who kind of forgot his birthday. He's
- 7:40Speaker 1: a little bit older, so it's not like he's a kid,
- 7:42Speaker 1: you know, but he's like thirty five, forty years old.
- 7:45Speaker 2: They forgot about his.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Birth I'm sorry, you said a little bit older. And
- 7:49Speaker 3: I'm thinking like eighty or something.
- 7:51Speaker 2: No, no, thirty five or forty.
- 7:53Speaker 3: If someone forgets my birthday, I'm real sad.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Like this guy, well, he ordered this pizza and he requested, Hey,
- 8:03Speaker 1: can I just get a bunch of olives on this thing?
- 8:05Speaker 1: My family forgot my birthday. I'm feeling down, uh, and
- 8:08Speaker 1: I just want this thing covered in olives. So this
- 8:11Speaker 1: pizza place responded by loading this thing up with like
- 8:17Speaker 1: a ridiculous amount of olives, and then they made a
- 8:20Speaker 1: hand drawn birthday cake in the box with a message
- 8:24Speaker 1: that said happy Birthday. And he says the gesture meant
- 8:27Speaker 1: a lot, and it resonated with a lot of other
- 8:30Speaker 1: people who have kind of gone through something similar to this.
- 8:33Speaker 2: And today is Giving Heart's Day.
- 8:35Speaker 1: The spirit of today is either donating your time and
- 8:39Speaker 1: or monetary donations if you can, for people who either
- 8:43Speaker 1: a are going through a tough time or just or
- 8:45Speaker 1: who could just use a little extra help. And so
- 8:49Speaker 1: in the spirit of today, we wanted to know, were
- 8:51Speaker 1: you ever going through a tough time and someone helped
- 8:54Speaker 1: you out? Seven oh one two eight zero one to
- 8:56Speaker 1: nine eight seven, you can text us, call us, It'd
- 8:59Speaker 1: be a great time to show that friend or that
- 9:01Speaker 1: family member or that coworker whoever. So I'm some love
- 9:04Speaker 1: here this morning on Big ninety eight point seven. Did
- 9:06Speaker 1: were you ever going through a tough time?
- 9:07Speaker 2: Angie? And how did I help you?
- 9:09Speaker 1: Oh?
- 9:13Speaker 2: I was not a yew We know that that would
- 9:15Speaker 2: not be true. I'd be the one making the time worse.
- 9:20Speaker 1: No.
- 9:20Speaker 3: You know what I love about Giving Hearts Day is
- 9:23Speaker 3: because there's over six hundred charities that you can help
- 9:26Speaker 3: and donate incredible amount. Yeah, when I was growing up,
- 9:30Speaker 3: I mean we were so poor. We grew up really
- 9:34Speaker 3: below the poverty line and my mom had a full
- 9:37Speaker 3: time job. But it was just one of those things
- 9:38Speaker 3: like that's just how the cookie crumbled for us at
- 9:40Speaker 3: the time, And it was two things there was The
- 9:43Speaker 3: United Way was instrumental in making sure and you can
- 9:47Speaker 3: donate to the United Way on Giving Hearts Day.
- 9:50Speaker 2: I kind of hear from them too today and nine o'clock.
- 9:52Speaker 3: Yeah, the United Way really helped us make sure we
- 9:56Speaker 3: had a Christmas, make sure we had stuff for birthdays,
- 9:59Speaker 3: and then food when we were food insecure and at work,
- 10:03Speaker 3: my mom had a really great group of co workers
- 10:06Speaker 3: who would, oh, I feel emotional, who would all of
- 10:12Speaker 3: their clothes that they would usually donate to like Goodwill
- 10:16Speaker 3: or something. They would just gather all the clothes and
- 10:20Speaker 3: they would bring it to my mom at work in
- 10:23Speaker 3: these big black trash bags. And there were days where
- 10:25Speaker 3: my mom would come home from work with these huge
- 10:28Speaker 3: bags of clothes and if that like we were shopping,
- 10:32Speaker 3: you know, And I mean to this day, my favorite
- 10:35Speaker 3: shirt I've ever owned was this white T shirt with
- 10:40Speaker 3: a gray Calvin Klein logo on it. And I had
- 10:44Speaker 3: it in fifth grade and this is my favorite shirt
- 10:46Speaker 3: of all time. I can still picture and that came
- 10:49Speaker 3: from one of the big black trash bags just that
- 10:52Speaker 3: was filled with clothes that people were going to donate.
- 10:54Speaker 3: So stuff like that, it really means a lot to me.
- 10:58Speaker 3: And giving heart Stay, I think, is one of those
- 11:01Speaker 3: It's like such a huge day to give and you
- 11:04Speaker 3: never know who you're going to impact with your donation.
- 11:07Speaker 1: That's right, Ashley. What about you a tough time you're
- 11:10Speaker 1: going through? Who helped you out?
- 11:12Speaker 2: After my divorce, I couldn't sleep alone.
- 11:14Speaker 3: My best friend slept on my couch for two weeks straight.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Didn't ask questions, just made coffee in state.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Oh that's nice, that's actually very sweet. I like that
- 11:24Speaker 1: when you hear stories like that. Hopefully that inspires you
- 11:27Speaker 1: today for giving heart. Stay to give as often as
- 11:29Speaker 1: you can and give give your time or monetary donations,
- 11:33Speaker 1: whatever the case may be. Find out some of those
- 11:36Speaker 1: organizations of those nonprofits at Giving Heartstate dot org. In
- 11:42Speaker 1: the world of rules in gray Areas, one morning show
- 11:44Speaker 1: dares to ask the hard questions.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Is it legal for a child to wear that much makeup?
- 11:49Speaker 2: Is it legal? I understand, I understand it's funny as
- 11:52Speaker 2: all get out, but is.
- 11:53Speaker 1: It even legal?
- 11:54Speaker 2: On Big ninety eight point seven?
- 11:57Speaker 1: Now, today is Giving Hearts Day in the FM area,
- 11:59Speaker 1: and you can donate your time, that is one thing
- 12:03Speaker 1: most people have to give. Yeah, but if you plan
- 12:06Speaker 1: on making a monetary donation, I was just curious, you know,
- 12:09Speaker 1: is there a cap on how much you can donate?
- 12:13Speaker 1: Is there like a legal a legal limit on how
- 12:16Speaker 1: much you could donate as far as money goes? And
- 12:18Speaker 1: did you know you can legally give away as much
- 12:22Speaker 1: money as you want in North Dakota. No cap, no limit,
- 12:26Speaker 1: just you and the crushing realization you probably don't have
- 12:30Speaker 1: ten million dollars to give away.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Now.
- 12:32Speaker 1: The basic saying here is go ahead, be a hero,
- 12:35Speaker 1: which you can do today.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Now here's where things do get a little spicy.
- 12:39Speaker 1: If you donate five thousand dollars or more to a
- 12:42Speaker 1: qualified endowment, you could score a forty percent state income
- 12:46Speaker 1: tax credit, which is up to ten grand back every year.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Oh okay, So technically donating money might be the closest
- 12:53Speaker 1: thing to a cash back rewards program for being a
- 12:55Speaker 1: good person that exists. Yeah, all right, imagine explaining that
- 12:59Speaker 1: to your your spouse, you know, like, hey, babe, I
- 13:01Speaker 1: didn't spend ten thousand dollars.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I strategically cared. Yeah, I like that. I like that.
- 13:08Speaker 1: Give big, save big, go ahead, and finally prove your
- 13:11Speaker 1: mom right that you are a very generous person. Okay,
- 13:14Speaker 1: donate today. Donate as much or as little or whatever
- 13:18Speaker 1: you can. There's a lot of place every bit helps
- 13:20Speaker 1: every bit. There's a lot of places with doubling those
- 13:24Speaker 1: reward or doubling the cash and whatever. For giving Heart's
- 13:28Speaker 1: Day here today, So make sure you check out Giving Hearts,
- 13:31Speaker 1: Giving Hearts Day dot org for giving Hearts stay today.
- 13:39Speaker 1: All the wrong now, Angie Olivia dean man. I need
- 13:45Speaker 1: I have a man maybe you need in your life.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Now I know you don't Mike. He's a very sweet guy.
- 13:49Speaker 1: But I need you to act as a single lady
- 13:51Speaker 1: for the next Yes, we'll do.
- 13:56Speaker 3: No, I'm kidding, I'm kidding, but yes, for the sake
- 13:59Speaker 3: of the fact that I'm the only woman here, I
- 14:02Speaker 3: will do what needs to be done.
- 14:03Speaker 1: And if you are riding in your car, wait till
- 14:06Speaker 1: you get somewhere safe or call us at seven oh
- 14:08Speaker 1: one two eight zero one nine eight seven. I have
- 14:10Speaker 1: curated from my very own brain two gentlemen, and I
- 14:16Speaker 1: want to know would you date these guys?
- 14:18Speaker 2: Oh? Okay, this is interesting.
- 14:21Speaker 1: So if you're riding along in your car, you're listening
- 14:23Speaker 1: at work, text which one of these two? I only
- 14:26Speaker 1: have two, but which one of these two gentlemen you
- 14:29Speaker 1: would date?
- 14:30Speaker 2: Okay?
- 14:30Speaker 1: So for example, this first guy, let's what's a name
- 14:34Speaker 1: you like that isn't Mike.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I don't even like the name Mike.
- 14:39Speaker 3: I just I just like the man. Okay, Oh okay,
- 14:44Speaker 3: I like the name Davos.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Oh my god, that's a game of throat.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Yeah I know, okay, So Davos, Okay, he's a billionaire,
- 14:53Speaker 1: but he only showers once a week. You're not sure
- 15:00Speaker 1: if you love him. You're kind of starting to sound
- 15:01Speaker 1: like Zay Milick. Oh no, okay, he only calls you Darlin.
- 15:07Speaker 1: He consults a psychic before he does anything.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Oh no, he got it all.
- 15:13Speaker 1: From his mom, and he's going through the billions fast.
- 15:18Speaker 2: What he's not even keeping the billions? Okay.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Now, he is a billionaire, but he always has coffee breath.
- 15:24Speaker 1: He's also a billionaire and won't leave Minnesota for vacation.
- 15:31Speaker 1: He's a billionaire, but he's deathly afraid of water. Are
- 15:34Speaker 1: you dating Davos?
- 15:37Speaker 3: Can I hear? My other option is this like prices
- 15:41Speaker 3: right where I can pass and been on the second Show?
- 15:45Speaker 1: Sure, I'll give you your second guy. Okay, all right,
- 15:47Speaker 1: this guy's name is Alexander. Okay, Alexander. He has a
- 15:53Speaker 1: perfect body, the most handsome face you've ever seen, but
- 15:59Speaker 1: he never flushed when he goes to the bathroom, grows.
- 16:02Speaker 1: His mom calls him three times a day. He all
- 16:07Speaker 1: too often only talks in baby talk. Now, no, okay,
- 16:13Speaker 1: he's a furry Oh my god, he's two hours late
- 16:18Speaker 1: to everything. He only drinks out of a sippy cup
- 16:22Speaker 1: and his friends hit on you constantly. Which one of
- 16:27Speaker 1: these two gentlemen do you think you would choose if you.
- 16:31Speaker 3: Had to, I would choose the hot guy because.
- 16:36Speaker 2: What's his name? Alexander? Yeah, you're gonna do a lot
- 16:38Speaker 2: of toilet flush.
- 16:39Speaker 3: Okay, that's fine, we'll use separate bathrooms if he's If
- 16:44Speaker 3: he's two hours late to everything and his friends are
- 16:49Speaker 3: always hitting on me, I get a two hour window
- 16:52Speaker 3: where I'm getting hit off.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Yeah, you're just feeling great for two hours? Yeah, okay?
- 16:56Speaker 1: Seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Are you dating the billionaire?
- 17:02Speaker 2: Uh?
- 17:02Speaker 1: Kind of mama's boy who needs to go to a
- 17:04Speaker 1: psychic before he does anything, and he won't leave Minnesota
- 17:08Speaker 1: for vacation?
- 17:09Speaker 2: How are you going? I'll be honest.
- 17:10Speaker 1: When I was curating these two, that sounded like a
- 17:13Speaker 1: great idea, But how are you blowing through a billion
- 17:15Speaker 1: dollars if you're never going on vacation?
- 17:16Speaker 2: Isn't that the easiest a billion?
- 17:19Speaker 1: Or are you dating this handsome man who has, you know,
- 17:21Speaker 1: a lot of issues and is two hours late? Let
- 17:23Speaker 1: us know this morning on Big ninety eight point seven,
- 17:28Speaker 1: I had curated from my very own brain two gentlemen.
- 17:31Speaker 1: One of them I let Angie named Davos, and the
- 17:33Speaker 1: other one was named Alexander. One of these guys was
- 17:36Speaker 1: a billionaire, but there were a lot of things that
- 17:39Speaker 1: were well.
- 17:41Speaker 2: He always had coffee bread.
- 17:42Speaker 3: He never goes on vacation outside of Minnesota.
- 17:46Speaker 2: One of the other psychic.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Before he does anything, Yeah, he uh. He got a
- 17:53Speaker 1: call from his mom and she was telling him that
- 17:55Speaker 1: he was going through the billions of dollars way too fast.
- 17:59Speaker 2: He has a lot of problems.
- 18:00Speaker 1: He's a billionaire, but he's also deathly afraid of water,
- 18:02Speaker 1: which is interesting.
- 18:03Speaker 2: So he doesn't even have a boat. That's what I'm
- 18:06Speaker 2: gonna say.
- 18:07Speaker 3: If you're a billionaire and you don't have a boat,
- 18:09Speaker 3: what's wrong with you? Now?
- 18:11Speaker 1: The other guy was the most handsome man you'd ever seen.
- 18:14Speaker 1: He has a perfect face, perfect body. But he's got
- 18:16Speaker 1: some issues. Okay, he never flushes, his mom calls him
- 18:20Speaker 1: three times a day. He talks in baby talk all
- 18:23Speaker 1: too often. All that part that he's a furry. He's
- 18:28Speaker 1: two hours late for everything, and he only drinks out
- 18:30Speaker 1: of a sippy cup.
- 18:31Speaker 2: And we have seen a lot of texts. These are fabulous.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Amanda said, I couldn't date either of these men.
- 18:38Speaker 2: I'd rather be single forever. That's too much stress.
- 18:42Speaker 1: We also got a text saying, lol, I'll take the billionaire.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I do not want.
- 18:47Speaker 1: I do not want a not flushing baby mama's boy
- 18:51Speaker 1: who can't handle basic time management. And then Amanda said,
- 18:56Speaker 1: I'd have to pick the billionaire. There are some cool
- 18:58Speaker 1: places in Minnesota. Divisi and I don't meet. I don't
- 19:01Speaker 1: mind being called darlin or consulting a psychic. I'll just
- 19:05Speaker 1: distance myself towards the end of the week when he
- 19:09Speaker 1: starts to Stack's right.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Because you on these showers once a week, I will
- 19:13Speaker 3: say this. I think that the real question here is
- 19:20Speaker 3: you know that Norwegian olympian who cheated on his girlfriend? Yeah,
- 19:25Speaker 3: and then told everybody, Hey, cheated on my girlfriend.
- 19:28Speaker 2: I need to know, ladies, I need you to be honest.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Would you take that man back? Oh?
- 19:33Speaker 1: Let us know seven one two eight zero one nine
- 19:36Speaker 1: seven not thirty eight today.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Excuse me.
- 19:42Speaker 1: If you have been wondering any of these things about
- 19:45Speaker 1: the Olympics, I might be able to help you out
- 19:47Speaker 1: here this morning. These are the most googled things involving
- 19:51Speaker 1: the Olympics, and I have personally googled a few of these.
- 19:57Speaker 1: So I'm gonna try to help you out here.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Today if thank you, cause I don't I feel like googling.
- 20:01Speaker 1: If you've ever wondered why do ice skaters wear gloves, well,
- 20:05Speaker 1: the normal reason actually to keep their hands warm, but
- 20:09Speaker 1: they also do protect their hands from falls, or sometimes
- 20:14Speaker 1: they're just part.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Of the costume. It's mashining.
- 20:17Speaker 1: And what I have heard and seen from the Olympics
- 20:20Speaker 1: where they are doing a lot of the skating is
- 20:23Speaker 1: the buildings are freezing. They are so cold, so a
- 20:28Speaker 1: lot of people just trying to keep You might have
- 20:29Speaker 1: seen Cory Tsi in the mixed curling. She would wear
- 20:34Speaker 1: a glove on her not or a mitten or whatever
- 20:37Speaker 1: on her not throwing hand, but it's just keep her handwarm.
- 20:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just that a temperature thing. There isn't like
- 20:43Speaker 3: a requirement that you have to Okay, not.
- 20:46Speaker 1: At all all right, why do speed skaters wear glasses?
- 20:50Speaker 1: And you might think, oh, they get something in their eye,
- 20:52Speaker 1: dust or whatever, a mosquito. Could you get the point? Yeah, yeah,
- 20:57Speaker 1: but it's mainly to protect their eyes from the wind
- 21:00Speaker 1: or there's tiny ice chips that actually can fly up
- 21:05Speaker 1: as they're going, you know, thirty to thirty five miles
- 21:07Speaker 1: an hour, so.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Soon I didn't know how fast they were going.
- 21:11Speaker 1: So if someone's in front of you skating, they can
- 21:13Speaker 1: actually kick them all.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah, ice chips up, potentially into your eyes. Yeah yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 2: So how do you steer in luge?
- 21:20Speaker 1: I think this would be the most googled question in
- 21:22Speaker 1: the Olympics of all time, like four times. Yeah, and
- 21:26Speaker 1: I still could not find a solid answer. But you
- 21:29Speaker 1: do steer mostly with your calves, shoulders and by shifting
- 21:34Speaker 1: your weight around. The sleds have these handles, but they
- 21:37Speaker 1: don't really steer. They're just to anchor yourself so you
- 21:40Speaker 1: can make those tiny movements. So when you're steering with
- 21:43Speaker 1: a luge, it's so much core and shoulder and leg muscle.
- 21:47Speaker 1: It really has nothing to do with like turning right
- 21:49Speaker 1: and left.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Those people must be so toned because it's those little
- 21:55Speaker 3: movements that really tone your core and.
- 21:58Speaker 2: You're, oh, maybe I should start losing.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Start losing, and do you think you would be losing
- 22:05Speaker 1: as well? Yes, exactly, Okay, yeah, sorry I had to
- 22:08Speaker 1: make that joke. I love it. How fast do snowboarders
- 22:11Speaker 1: go in big air. Obviously, it's the event with the
- 22:14Speaker 1: steep hill and one big ramp at the bottom. These
- 22:18Speaker 1: snowboarders are going down this big giant hill and hitting
- 22:20Speaker 1: this big giant jump at fifty miles an hour as
- 22:24Speaker 1: they rotate. Sometimes, you know, twelve, what's after a ten eighty?
- 22:27Speaker 1: Twelve sixty? I think that is what wobber the number is.
- 22:30Speaker 1: It's incredible. And then finally, how it's curling scored? And
- 22:35Speaker 1: Angie and I don't know a ton about curling, but
- 22:37Speaker 1: we do get the point of you know, you got
- 22:39Speaker 1: to get the rock closest to the middle.
- 22:40Speaker 3: It's kind of yeah, it's kind I refuse to look
- 22:43Speaker 3: up the rules, so please tell me.
- 22:45Speaker 1: Yeah, it's basically BATCHI on ice one, team scores each round.
- 22:50Speaker 1: The closest stone to the center gets a point. If
- 22:52Speaker 1: you have the two closest stones, it's two points, and
- 22:56Speaker 1: then so forth, you know, three, four, whatever. Okay, So
- 22:59Speaker 1: the closest one to the I think they call it
- 23:01Speaker 1: the button. Okay, the closest one to that gets a point.
- 23:04Speaker 1: And obviously if you're the team that gets to throw second,
- 23:07Speaker 1: you have the advantage because you.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Get the last throw. And do you get to knock
- 23:10Speaker 2: the You.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Can knock whatever you want. Now, I gotta be careful
- 23:13Speaker 1: because sometimes you can knock your own stones out.
- 23:15Speaker 2: So yeah, but now I.
- 23:17Speaker 3: Know curling is like curling has made it because it
- 23:21Speaker 3: has its own emoji.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Is there a curling emotion? Yeah? You know you've made
- 23:26Speaker 2: it if you have your own emoji. Yeah. I starting
- 23:33Speaker 2: off the day with something good.
- 23:35Speaker 1: This is Gabe's Good News on Big ninety eight point seven. Now,
- 23:41Speaker 1: today is Giving Hearts Day, that in and of itself
- 23:44Speaker 1: as a whole, is the good news of the day.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Give as often as you can, give to as many
- 23:50Speaker 1: places as you can, whether it's monetary or your time,
- 23:53Speaker 1: and we're gonna hear a lot from Giving Hearts throughout
- 23:55Speaker 1: the day here on Big ninety eight point seven in
- 23:58Speaker 1: the ten o'clock hour, the eleven I mean a toy.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Today is the big day, that's right.
- 24:03Speaker 1: So, being that that is going on all day, I
- 24:06Speaker 1: wanted just to switch it up a little bit for
- 24:07Speaker 1: you for Gabes good News of the day. But I
- 24:09Speaker 1: do want to emphasize that today is Giving Heart's Day
- 24:12Speaker 1: and it is an incredible time to give and help
- 24:14Speaker 1: out our community. Gabe's Good News of the day is
- 24:17Speaker 1: about a special little doggie, all right. The North Dakota
- 24:22Speaker 1: Highway Patrol welcomed a new K nine, a nine and
- 24:27Speaker 1: a half week old bloodhound named Bo, in Fargo on
- 24:32Speaker 1: February eleventh, so yesterday, handled by Trooper Dustin Pattingale, Bo
- 24:38Speaker 1: is beginning training that currently focuses on basic obedience, body training,
- 24:43Speaker 1: and getting familiar with different environments. Once fully trained, he
- 24:47Speaker 1: will help search for missing people in the Fargo Moorhead area.
- 24:51Speaker 2: What a little counity, yea sweetheart.
- 24:54Speaker 3: Oh I love this.
- 24:55Speaker 1: It's absolutely beautiful of Bo to try to help out
- 24:59Speaker 1: his community, just like you can today with giving hearts.
- 25:02Speaker 1: The world giving hearts. Stay excuse me. The world is
- 25:05Speaker 1: full of nice people. If you can't find one, you
- 25:07Speaker 1: gotta be one.
