- 0:00Speaker 1: The Force will be with you always.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Hello everyone, Welcome back to another episode of Star Wars
- 0:22Speaker 2: Lance your home on Geegle Lance Podcast Network for any
- 0:25Speaker 2: and all. Thanks Star Wars. I'm your host like always.
- 0:28Speaker 2: And actually, now that I think about it, I think
- 0:30Speaker 2: Clay you had the intro. So I'm sorry. Do you apologize?
- 0:36Speaker 3: No, I think you had the opener. That's what we
- 0:39Speaker 3: literally just discussed.
- 0:41Speaker 2: No, I know now that I say, I'm very sorry,
- 0:44Speaker 2: and I said it last week.
- 0:46Speaker 3: No, because one thing that if you are listening to
- 0:50Speaker 3: this when this actually drops, you should also know that
- 0:53Speaker 3: our review for If You Were the Nameless has already
- 0:59Speaker 3: been least alongside this episode, and I did the opener
- 1:03Speaker 3: on that one, so it's technically your turn. So you're good,
- 1:09Speaker 3: you're sir.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Anyways, how are you doing today?
- 1:15Speaker 3: I am doing surprisingly well. It is getting pretty close
- 1:22Speaker 3: to like, uh So, if anybody doesn't know that I
- 1:27Speaker 3: got a new job, I got a new job in
- 1:29Speaker 3: the comic book industry. I am a part of the
- 1:33Speaker 3: basically distribution side of the comic book industry now, and
- 1:38Speaker 3: it is my job to make sure that the rest
- 1:42Speaker 3: of the world knows what comics are coming out and
- 1:46Speaker 3: all of this stuff, and so it's a lot of
- 1:49Speaker 3: data entry and in order to go live like we
- 1:55Speaker 3: do here technically, but for our catalogs and things like
- 1:58Speaker 3: that to go live, every piece of that data needs
- 2:02Speaker 3: to be perfect to a t when uploading it to
- 2:06Speaker 3: our system. Otherwise the smallest space or abbreviation or comma
- 2:17Speaker 3: or period, like the smallest thing will cause that catalog
- 2:21Speaker 3: to just not go live. So for the last three weeks,
- 2:26Speaker 3: I have been combing over this massive spreadsheet and looking
- 2:31Speaker 3: over every single thing. I finally got the spreadsheet back
- 2:36Speaker 3: to me today and I was like, this is the
- 2:39Speaker 3: first time I'm doing this. I'm gonna feel so good.
- 2:41Speaker 3: It's gonna be basically perfect, because I know I did
- 2:46Speaker 3: a good job, and there was red highlights everywhere, and
- 2:50Speaker 3: I was like, crap, but I uh, I think I
- 2:57Speaker 3: did pretty well. And it's so weird. So I am
- 3:01Speaker 3: thirty two years old. I have never been in uh
- 3:05Speaker 3: I guess Corporate America office space, if you will. So
- 3:09Speaker 3: like the lingo, the jargon, the email etiquette is all
- 3:14Speaker 3: new to me, and so it's just like, oh, I
- 3:17Speaker 3: can't just talk to you like this. I have to
- 3:20Speaker 3: think about how I'm going to talk to you because
- 3:22Speaker 3: I've never met you in person before. I don't know
- 3:25Speaker 3: you like that, and I have to act like I am,
- 3:30Speaker 3: you know, somewhat professional. And I've been doing this for
- 3:33Speaker 3: however long, even though it's only been literally three weeks.
- 3:37Speaker 2: I don't understand why high schools don't teach how to
- 3:40Speaker 2: write a professional email like anything. Like I don't work
- 3:47Speaker 2: with customers thankfully, Well, okay, I do, but like it's
- 3:51Speaker 2: on calls ninety percent of the time, so I don't
- 3:55Speaker 2: really ever have to write like a email. Like Matt
- 4:01Speaker 2: gets like two hundred emails a day and has to
- 4:05Speaker 2: respond to like twenty five percent of them, and that's
- 4:09Speaker 2: just the like the non junk ones by the way, Yeah,
- 4:12Speaker 2: he has a program to filter everything else out. But
- 4:17Speaker 2: like I went on maternity leave, I had six emails
- 4:22Speaker 2: that actually required my attention. When I got back, I
- 4:25Speaker 2: was gone.
- 4:25Speaker 3: You went. I was gonna say you were gone for
- 4:29Speaker 3: four months and all you had was six emails.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I don't get emails like ninety communications on teams. So yeah,
- 4:42Speaker 2: but y'all don't come to hear us talk about business.
- 4:45Speaker 2: But we like starting out talking about each other like
- 4:48Speaker 2: day and stuff, So we do have some news. Unfortunately,
- 4:54Speaker 2: we're going to start off with the not so good news.
- 4:58Speaker 2: The fact of the matter is is that we life
- 5:02Speaker 2: comes to an end, and unfortunately, James Earl Jones passed
- 5:06Speaker 2: away this week, and it's sad.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Do you know what's crazy about this passing of James
- 5:14Speaker 3: Earl Jones? He was ninety three years old. I had
- 5:20Speaker 3: no idea how old. I didn't know he was that old,
- 5:24Speaker 3: for one, But I think I didn't know he was
- 5:28Speaker 3: that old to begin with, because James Earl Jones was
- 5:33Speaker 3: one of those individuals that, for some reason, you were
- 5:36Speaker 3: just like that, dude's never dying, right, like, you know,
- 5:40Speaker 3: because of how much of an icon he is and was.
- 5:45Speaker 3: It's just like, oh, you know, you hear about this passing,
- 5:48Speaker 3: and you hear about this passing, it never dawns on
- 5:52Speaker 3: you that Darth freakin Vader could die. Darth Vader was
- 6:02Speaker 3: played by technically two people. The bodysuit actor, I believe
- 6:07Speaker 3: has already passed. Correct me if I'm wrong.
- 6:10Speaker 2: The face has also passed for Return.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Of the Jedi, Yes as that as well. So when
- 6:18Speaker 3: hearing this, and I do want to apologize for anyone
- 6:22Speaker 3: who does not understand my dark humor. My dark humor
- 6:26Speaker 3: is the one thing that helps me cope with my
- 6:28Speaker 3: biggest fear in the entire world, which is death. And
- 6:32Speaker 3: so when I heard that James Earl Jones died, I
- 6:34Speaker 3: did the giant gift of Darth Vader saying no. And
- 6:40Speaker 3: it's but it's also the same reaction, you know, it's
- 6:44Speaker 3: like wow, like why does that have to happen to
- 6:47Speaker 3: such an icon? And he was great. Of course, he
- 6:50Speaker 3: isn't just famous for Star Wars. He did amazing movies
- 6:55Speaker 3: like The Sandlot. He was the voice of Mufasa in
- 7:00Speaker 3: both the quote unquote live action and in the animated
- 7:05Speaker 3: series or show as well or the movie Sorry he
- 7:09Speaker 3: did Coming to America. He did so much in his career,
- 7:15Speaker 3: and I hope that his decision, although something that I
- 7:21Speaker 3: don't agree with, but I hope that his decision to
- 7:26Speaker 3: give Disney his voice for AI in future projects does
- 7:32Speaker 3: get to benefit his family and help them in this
- 7:38Speaker 3: time that he is no longer with them. And that sucks.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's really sad. I haven't seen stuff like Coming
- 7:48Speaker 2: to America. But his voice is just legendary, like Lion
- 7:52Speaker 2: King Darth Vader, like I mean, he's portrayed Darth Vader
- 7:56Speaker 2: in so many different projects, Rebels, Roague War and obviously
- 8:01Speaker 2: the original trilogy. Like he he was incredibly stunning and
- 8:10Speaker 2: an incredible voice actor. So uh yeah, we will we
- 8:14Speaker 2: will miss you, good sir. But obviously, like Clay said,
- 8:17Speaker 2: your voice will live on and I hope it truly
- 8:20Speaker 2: does benefit a lot of people.
- 8:22Speaker 3: So so with that, let's try to not talk about
- 8:31Speaker 3: such depressing news. And I don't know, I don't want
- 8:38Speaker 3: to get too into it because again I don't know
- 8:41Speaker 3: all of the information. I know that there has been
- 8:44Speaker 3: a lot again when there when is there not a
- 8:47Speaker 3: lot of Star Wars drama on Twitter unfortunately or the
- 8:51Speaker 3: Internet in general. But guys, if you are seeing there
- 8:55Speaker 3: is a big like email blast slash like I don't
- 9:01Speaker 3: know what you would call it, going around and making
- 9:05Speaker 3: its way around. I've did a very quick glance at
- 9:09Speaker 3: it and I felt, hey, this is part of the
- 9:12Speaker 3: Star Wars fandom that I am particularly not really knowledgeable of.
- 9:18Speaker 3: As far as like the nitty gritty stuff, I do
- 9:22Speaker 3: know there has to do a lot with like YouTube
- 9:24Speaker 3: channels demonetization because of the harassment and everything else that's
- 9:29Speaker 3: been going on. In the community, and I was like, hey,
- 9:32Speaker 3: I'm probably gonna stay as far away as I can
- 9:36Speaker 3: with this, but I don't know if you have anything
- 9:38Speaker 3: else to say about that at all.
- 9:42Speaker 2: So basically a podcast I did find out it was
- 9:48Speaker 2: not star Wars news Net okay, but a podcast. Star
- 9:54Speaker 2: Wars Explained had no idea who started it, but they
- 9:57Speaker 2: agreed with it and were like, hey, I'll read tweet
- 10:00Speaker 2: this and star Wars Explained is probably one of the
- 10:03Speaker 2: most followed positive star Wars on YouTube. Yeah, and basically
- 10:14Speaker 2: it said, Hey, these three accounts and I think it
- 10:18Speaker 2: was geeks and gamers and two other people are constantly
- 10:23Speaker 2: harassing people. They're using bullying language, they're using the R word,
- 10:30Speaker 2: they're using I think they use the N word, and
- 10:35Speaker 2: then making like transgender jokes, like basically just insulting a
- 10:40Speaker 2: bunch of people, and we'd like to see them demonetize.
- 10:46Speaker 2: They can still keep publishing, but YouTube please stop allowing
- 10:50Speaker 2: them to collect money for this. And YouTube responded back
- 10:56Speaker 2: and was like, please report the videos in question, and
- 11:03Speaker 2: so people started reporting it. There was not a mass
- 11:07Speaker 2: campaign to do it until YouTube said hey, go report
- 11:11Speaker 2: the video, like we'll pay attention. YouTube did come back
- 11:15Speaker 2: and say, yeah, we don't find this against the rules,
- 11:20Speaker 2: which these channels make YouTube a bunch of money. So
- 11:27Speaker 2: it is what it is. I didn't think YouTube was
- 11:29Speaker 2: going to take him down at all, but SWT picked
- 11:37Speaker 2: it up and was like, Oh, you want to play
- 11:40Speaker 2: this game, I'll play this game, and then basically released
- 11:43Speaker 2: a video with almost ten year old emails from Star
- 11:50Speaker 2: Wars explained because again biggest account for Star Wars positive
- 11:54Speaker 2: people retweeted this and said and then so he released
- 12:00Speaker 2: all these receipts and was like, yeah, like your mental
- 12:03Speaker 2: health sucks. Like you're using your wife, your wife is
- 12:07Speaker 2: using you, and that's accurate nowadays.
- 12:12Speaker 3: Well not only that, but like for one, like you said,
- 12:17Speaker 3: it's ten year old emails and a lot can change
- 12:22Speaker 3: in ten years, for one, but like, these are things
- 12:26Speaker 3: that were probably shared in confidence, and for somebody to
- 12:32Speaker 3: just put that out there in the public, it's disgusting.
- 12:37Speaker 3: This is an individual that we've had time and time
- 12:41Speaker 3: again the comments of hey, this persus is not even
- 12:46Speaker 3: a Star Wars fan. They are a fan.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Uh, they are a grifter.
- 12:51Speaker 3: A grifter. For me, I think that it is just
- 12:56Speaker 3: people like that because there's other people in other communities
- 12:59Speaker 3: that are somewhat like this. They like one tiny minuscule
- 13:05Speaker 3: thing about one piece of fandom because they thought it
- 13:08Speaker 3: was cool once and they think they can call themselves
- 13:11Speaker 3: the biggest fan of said community. And it's disgusting and
- 13:17Speaker 3: I don't appreciate it whatsoever.
- 13:20Speaker 2: And but yeah, we like and you can say all
- 13:23Speaker 2: day long like, oh, we're not doing this, But when
- 13:26Speaker 2: we can literally pull up videos where you're using transgender
- 13:32Speaker 2: jokes and you're using the R word, and you're literally like,
- 13:37Speaker 2: poor Molly, Molly has been so sexually harassed, and like
- 13:42Speaker 2: people will super chat these guys and go, yeah, like
- 13:47Speaker 2: I would do this to her, and then that super
- 13:49Speaker 2: chat is published on your video, like you agree with that,
- 13:52Speaker 2: Like you're literally agreeing with that because you're publishing it
- 13:56Speaker 2: on your video. It's not cool at all.
- 14:01Speaker 3: And it's like you said, Unfortunately, when it comes to
- 14:07Speaker 3: the revenue that is just pushed through these very large
- 14:14Speaker 3: accounts on just anywhere, not just YouTube, but on TikTok,
- 14:19Speaker 3: on Instagram, anywhere that has that ad revenue building up
- 14:23Speaker 3: for not only the account that gets for but of
- 14:27Speaker 3: course the actual company that being YouTube, They're not going
- 14:32Speaker 3: to do anything about it. This benefits them in some capacity,
- 14:38Speaker 3: and we see this all the time, unfortunately, specifically now
- 14:42Speaker 3: on Twitter, with all the stuff that's been happening there,
- 14:47Speaker 3: and it's very unfortunate. And I wish that we did
- 14:53Speaker 3: not live in a society that says, hey, hate is
- 14:57Speaker 3: what gets you paid and benefits you the most, and
- 15:02Speaker 3: all of these disgusting things. I wish our life did
- 15:08Speaker 3: not revolve around it, because we have seen some great,
- 15:13Speaker 3: beautiful things come out of the Star Wars community, and
- 15:17Speaker 3: it just gets a small little inkling of like, hey,
- 15:20Speaker 3: this is what happened in the week, but like, hey,
- 15:23Speaker 3: let's hate this person and laugh about it and all
- 15:26Speaker 3: of this other stuff and like it's disgusting.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Yeah, and like I'm not saying like I just wish
- 15:34Speaker 2: we could ignore them. But unfortunately, to me of the
- 15:38Speaker 2: general audience, pick it up and go, hey, like this
- 15:44Speaker 2: person said this, Like is this accurate? Like if you
- 15:49Speaker 2: just gave stuff a chance, But like, also just ignore
- 15:53Speaker 2: the haters. Again, we talked about it all the time,
- 15:56Speaker 2: but don't watch stuff you hate, like it's not worth it.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Yeah, it really really isn't. But I just wanted to
- 16:04Speaker 3: bring that up because I know that although I am
- 16:09Speaker 3: in a very small part of Star Wars Twitter, for
- 16:14Speaker 3: that big of drama to finally hit my side of Twitter,
- 16:18Speaker 3: I know it'll most likely hit some very general audience
- 16:24Speaker 3: members that may appreciate something of Star Wars. So if
- 16:28Speaker 3: people are like, hey, what is this, there's some information
- 16:31Speaker 3: about it?
- 16:31Speaker 2: All right, y'all, we're going to hit our first ad
- 16:33Speaker 2: break and we will be right back in three two one.
- 16:38Speaker 3: Looking back at some more news that we have to
- 16:44Speaker 3: talk about. Did we want to talk about this cover?
- 16:53Speaker 2: Yes, we do want to book cover.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Yes, the book cover. It is the final art for
- 17:00Speaker 3: the Way Seeker, of course. This is the book that
- 17:03Speaker 3: takes uh in the past uh ten years before that,
- 17:08Speaker 3: ten years before the act Light. This is written by
- 17:14Speaker 3: Justina Ireland. And you had said in our Star Wars chat,
- 17:21Speaker 3: where was it you said that the Mando book that
- 17:26Speaker 3: got canceled never made it this far. And remind me again,
- 17:32Speaker 3: because I know we spoke about it very briefly. The
- 17:34Speaker 3: Mando book that was announced. It was after of course
- 17:39Speaker 3: season one of Bandali. Incorrect, Yes, run that by me again.
- 17:45Speaker 3: How did that process go? When was it announced? And
- 17:49Speaker 3: who was even supposed to be writing it? Oh?
- 17:52Speaker 2: My gosh, I literally just lost his name. It's Shadow
- 18:01Speaker 2: the Sith guy.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Oh uh uh Christopher, Adam Christopher.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Yes, yes, Adam Christopher was supposed to write it, and
- 18:15Speaker 2: that's how he then picked up Shadow of the Sith.
- 18:20Speaker 2: I think it was announced at New York CABA Con
- 18:26Speaker 2: and then got canceled like three months later. So, and
- 18:36Speaker 2: it had like The Mandalorian, and it was supposed to
- 18:41Speaker 2: it was supposed to be like a gap year story
- 18:43Speaker 2: basically between season one season two, and they never really
- 18:47Speaker 2: got a title and it just had the Mandalorian logo
- 18:52Speaker 2: on it, and like The Mandalorian, a story by Adam
- 18:57Speaker 2: Christopher I think on it. So in the even got
- 19:00Speaker 2: to like temporary art phase.
- 19:04Speaker 3: I would really love to talk to I think both
- 19:12Speaker 3: or either Michael and Tom about the days prior and
- 19:23Speaker 3: after the announcement of The Acolyte show when it comes
- 19:29Speaker 3: to this book in particular. Now there is technically still
- 19:36Speaker 3: another book that's supposed to be releasing in the era
- 19:43Speaker 3: of the Acolyte.
- 19:45Speaker 2: Yes, the Jackie and Your.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Novel exactly, but that it had final artwork, Well, no,
- 19:56Speaker 3: I don't even think it technically did, because if I
- 19:59Speaker 3: remember correct, if I remember correctly though on the actual.
- 20:06Speaker 2: The only one that had not the final cover was
- 20:09Speaker 2: the way Seeker one.
- 20:11Speaker 3: Oh that's true because I'm looking at the photo now
- 20:13Speaker 3: and it says it just says untitled why a novel? Yeah,
- 20:18Speaker 3: and it is written by Tessa Gratten. Okay, So my
- 20:24Speaker 3: question to you now is that still being me? Do
- 20:29Speaker 3: you think that I would think so.
- 20:32Speaker 2: I would think so because Disney has not been publishing
- 20:38Speaker 2: a ton outside of the Higher Republic era. I mean,
- 20:41Speaker 2: they didn't publish anything outside the Higher Republic era this
- 20:44Speaker 2: year like at all. So I would think that they're
- 20:50Speaker 2: still going to make that novel because they need to
- 20:57Speaker 2: start branching out somehow, because High Republic ends. I think
- 21:03Speaker 2: it's the Disney books for the High Republic Phase three,
- 21:08Speaker 2: Wave three come out like March and April next year,
- 21:15Speaker 2: and that's currently it, and this book is set for
- 21:19Speaker 2: the summer. So you've got to start branching out and
- 21:23Speaker 2: like developing other areas.
- 21:26Speaker 3: So I don't know, I hope it still does. Of course,
- 21:33Speaker 3: this gives us a little bit more of just that
- 21:36Speaker 3: like small inkling of hope that like, hey, maybe there's
- 21:39Speaker 3: still a possibility maybe something happens, Yeah, which By the way,
- 21:43Speaker 3: I want to say bravo to a lot of these people.
- 21:46Speaker 3: I know that I have said that I am not
- 21:49Speaker 3: going to do it, but looking back at some of
- 21:53Speaker 3: these posts, actually, let me see if I can find one.
- 21:57Speaker 3: I saw an update on the position on the petitions,
- 22:04Speaker 3: and there are some pretty large numbers. The last one
- 22:06Speaker 3: I saw it was on the seventh. It says, uh,
- 22:10Speaker 3: they've made it past seven seventy thousand signatures on the
- 22:16Speaker 3: renew of the accolade. I think that's very impressive, very
- 22:18Speaker 3: very awesome.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Yeah, it has seventy five thousand signatures today, seventy five
- 22:29Speaker 4: sixteen awesome.
- 22:31Speaker 2: So because Star Wars Books and Comics. Uh, when they
- 22:38Speaker 2: published the cover yesterday they said it was nearing seventy
- 22:43Speaker 2: three thousand.
- 22:46Speaker 3: Nice so.
- 22:49Speaker 2: And I love what they said. It seems on top
- 22:54Speaker 2: of some actual fans, we've triggered the petulant online cryberry
- 22:58Speaker 2: crybaby portion of this fan. If a cover upsets you
- 23:02Speaker 2: this much, sincerely, get fucked. I strive to live like that.
- 23:10Speaker 2: But we've been talking about the cover. Let's go ahead
- 23:13Speaker 2: and share the cover.
- 23:17Speaker 3: So, oh, yeah, you got it.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Yeah. So it's basically the original art that we saw
- 23:25Speaker 2: a little bit cleaned up, and it's not the best
- 23:31Speaker 2: looking cover, like it really isn't. But Vernestra looks great,
- 23:39Speaker 2: and I have to wonder. I have to wonder if
- 23:43Speaker 2: mass said no to being on the cover, so they
- 23:47Speaker 2: manipulated her face a little bit.
- 23:50Speaker 3: I am kind of thinking the same thing, uh, because
- 23:55Speaker 3: it looks like her but not really. And what I
- 24:00Speaker 3: genuinely think is when they made the announcement, it was
- 24:03Speaker 3: basically just a photoshop mock up of both characters on
- 24:08Speaker 3: the cover and then it said not final cover, right.
- 24:12Speaker 3: And also I do not like the blur effect that
- 24:20Speaker 3: is like distortings. No master Indira's lightsaber. Look at the
- 24:30Speaker 3: very tip of her lightsaber, like the hilt, Yeah, looks
- 24:35Speaker 3: like it's melting onto her hand.
- 24:38Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Okay, I.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Just wish that it was a little bit cleaner. But
- 24:43Speaker 3: I'm excited to read this nonetheless, because with it being
- 24:48Speaker 3: ten years prior to the act, like, of course this
- 24:53Speaker 3: is all speculation tinfoil hat time, we have to assume
- 24:58Speaker 3: that this was more so hey, because we can say
- 25:03Speaker 3: it here because we talked about it with Adrian being
- 25:06Speaker 3: on the show. We know that Justina has not watched
- 25:10Speaker 3: the show, but I'm hoping they gave her notes and
- 25:15Speaker 3: said hey, likes to hit exactly exactly and saying like, hey,
- 25:21Speaker 3: by the way, Massy Anddira has this like long lost
- 25:28Speaker 3: padawan that left the academy that is going to be
- 25:33Speaker 3: revealed in the show, and like.
- 25:35Speaker 2: That I said something like that, Dara, you meant right.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Yes, sorry sorry, Vernestra, yes, uh, And so like I'm
- 25:44Speaker 3: hoping that they gave her some sort of notes like that,
- 25:48Speaker 3: so that way there can be at least something that
- 25:53Speaker 3: builds off of the masterpiece that we just got finished watching,
- 25:57Speaker 3: rather than just being hey, this is fifty plus one
- 26:03Speaker 3: hundred years whatever from when the last time you saw
- 26:07Speaker 3: Vernestro when she was a kid. Like, I don't want that.
- 26:10Speaker 3: I want hey, this is where we most recently saw her.
- 26:15Speaker 3: I need to know how she gets to that point,
- 26:17Speaker 3: not hey, this is where she is now and this
- 26:20Speaker 3: is who she was back then.
- 26:22Speaker 2: You know, yeah, no, definitely, but that's just me. The
- 26:29Speaker 2: other bit of news that we have is Ahsoka one
- 26:35Speaker 2: an Emmy for Best Fantasy and Sci Fi or Fantasy
- 26:40Speaker 2: slash sci Fi Costumes. So that is a posthumous Emmy
- 26:45Speaker 2: to the costume designer because she passed away last fall.
- 26:48Speaker 3: So oh, that's so sad. That's but she.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Did an incredible job. I mean, the really great costumes.
- 26:56Speaker 3: I and I love Ohsoka's final costume in the finale
- 27:06Speaker 3: of the show. I think that whole freaking studio did
- 27:13Speaker 3: amazing with the makeup, with sound effects, with everything in
- 27:18Speaker 3: that show. But I do love the costumes. I think
- 27:22Speaker 3: that they got Ezra's like costume, I feel like was
- 27:30Speaker 3: really really great. It looked raggedy, so it showed age
- 27:34Speaker 3: with him, like being out in the middle of nowhere
- 27:37Speaker 3: and stuff like that. So I loved all of that.
- 27:41Speaker 3: I think that they very well earned and deserved that.
- 27:47Speaker 3: I mean, I think that's very very awesome.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Yep, for sure, we're gonna go into our second ad
- 27:53Speaker 2: break and we'll be right back. The only other thing
- 27:57Speaker 2: is that Jon Favreau when talking about the Mandalorian Grogo movie,
- 28:07Speaker 2: and this is from the dc L blog, so Scott
- 28:13Speaker 2: Sanders and John Faber said on rewarding the viewers of
- 28:20Speaker 2: The Mandalorian and the Mandalorian Grogo Movie, part of what
- 28:23Speaker 2: we're setting out to do is to have something that
- 28:26Speaker 2: rewards people who have been with the show since the beginning,
- 28:29Speaker 2: been with Star Wars since the beginning. I don't know
- 28:34Speaker 2: how I feel about that, especially that last part.
- 28:40Speaker 3: Luke Skywalker is going to show up. Wait, that's what
- 28:43Speaker 3: that means? It was, Hey, do you remember when everybody
- 28:48Speaker 3: was talking about the Mandalorian at the very end of
- 28:50Speaker 3: season two? Can we do that again? And that's what
- 28:54Speaker 3: they're gonna do.
- 28:55Speaker 2: What if it's the trio? What if it's not just Luke?
- 28:59Speaker 3: Uh, I'm probably gonna be really pissed. And it's more
- 29:08Speaker 3: so like we know, we all know, because he doesn't
- 29:13Speaker 3: hide it whatsoever. He literally said it in his interviews
- 29:16Speaker 3: for his next movie. In the MCU, Harrison Ford was like,
- 29:21Speaker 3: I like money, If you pay me, you can do
- 29:23Speaker 3: whatever the hell you want. Like is essentially where he's
- 29:28Speaker 3: at now.
- 29:29Speaker 1: Yep.
- 29:30Speaker 3: In life.
- 29:31Speaker 2: I mean, the dude's eighty one or eighty one plus, like.
- 29:35Speaker 3: Exactly, so, so if they want to ai the crap
- 29:39Speaker 3: out of his body and face and doing all that,
- 29:42Speaker 3: He's like, if you pay me, go right ahead. Carries
- 29:47Speaker 3: a different monster altogether, because we know that her daughter
- 29:55Speaker 3: has been through a lot of online stuff as well,
- 30:02Speaker 3: mm hmm, and we know that she's kind of voiced
- 30:09Speaker 3: her not disdain but like, yeah, I understand that my
- 30:14Speaker 3: mom was a part of this thing, but I also
- 30:17Speaker 3: know what my mom's opinion about this whole thing was.
- 30:24Speaker 3: So you know, there's that. And so for Disney, like,
- 30:32Speaker 3: I get it, I one hundred percent get it. There's
- 30:34Speaker 3: gonna be all these people that are like, this is
- 30:37Speaker 3: what I always wanted, and I'm so happy. But all
- 30:42Speaker 3: I could think of in my head will be none
- 30:46Speaker 3: of these people are in that room. Yea. They these
- 30:54Speaker 3: actors are literally looking at a blue wall right now,
- 30:58Speaker 3: talking to random stand ins like it's it's not gonna
- 31:05Speaker 3: feel real to me. Yeah, and I know people are
- 31:09Speaker 3: feel real, Clay, this is Star Wars. How is that
- 31:13Speaker 3: even possible to feel real? It's very simple, you recast,
- 31:22Speaker 3: that's how.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Is right there the body double that they use for
- 31:28Speaker 2: Luke in the Mandalorian right there.
- 31:33Speaker 3: He looked fairly similar, Like it's it's not that hard
- 31:36Speaker 3: to just make a little bit more makeup and boom,
- 31:40Speaker 3: It's not even hard.
- 31:42Speaker 2: He's right there, But they won't do it. Yeah. Anyways,
- 31:49Speaker 2: let's move on to our main topic, The High Republic Adventures,
- 31:58Speaker 2: Volume one of the two three run.
- 32:02Speaker 3: I'm gonna be completely honest with you. I read this
- 32:07Speaker 3: during my lunch break. I ordered it the day we
- 32:12Speaker 3: talked about it about like, hey, this is when we're
- 32:15Speaker 3: gonna record, and I ordered it that night. It got
- 32:21Speaker 3: to my Amazon box, the little like key the code
- 32:24Speaker 3: and open the box thing. The next day, I forgot
- 32:30Speaker 3: to go that day, so that's already one day past
- 32:35Speaker 3: and is sitting there. I go the next day, I
- 32:37Speaker 3: grab it, and then it sits inside of the Amazon
- 32:41Speaker 3: package on my kitchen table for like four days. And
- 32:50Speaker 3: then yesterday I put in my backpack and I said,
- 32:53Speaker 3: I need to read this today. Got really caught up
- 32:56Speaker 3: at work and wasn't able to read it. Wasn't even
- 33:00Speaker 3: I'm able to crack it open. Last night, so I'm
- 33:04Speaker 3: driving to work. My backpack is just sitting in my
- 33:08Speaker 3: passenger seat, and I think, oh shit, I have to
- 33:12Speaker 3: read this book board tonight. And I will say this,
- 33:18Speaker 3: the most beautiful thing about The High Republic Adventures is
- 33:26Speaker 3: that it reads as an all ages book, so there's
- 33:31Speaker 3: nothing super heavy. It's not a lot of dialogue. I
- 33:36Speaker 3: think one of the best things about this volume in
- 33:39Speaker 3: particular is their use of non verbal spread pages splash
- 33:47Speaker 3: pages to tell the story. And I was like this
- 33:52Speaker 3: is great. Now again I will say this, there is five.
- 33:58Speaker 3: Like we were all worried about Bury, there was somebody
- 34:03Speaker 3: else that everybody seems to forget when coming when talking
- 34:07Speaker 3: about like who survives Starlight Bacon, there's one person in
- 34:12Speaker 3: particular Lulah. No, not for me. There is one Jedi
- 34:19Speaker 3: master that I said blood buckets a blood. I can
- 34:25Speaker 3: go ahead and spoil that because the moment I saw
- 34:28Speaker 3: buckets of blood, I was like, he lived. Now do
- 34:34Speaker 3: they explain how he lived? No, they don't explain anything
- 34:40Speaker 3: about how the like I want to start there because
- 34:46Speaker 3: that's my one pet peeve about this story. I have
- 34:51Speaker 3: been off and on with the High Republican adventures, but
- 34:56Speaker 3: because of us being so plugged into the High Republic,
- 35:00Speaker 3: I get to see a lot of it passing through
- 35:03Speaker 3: Twitter and Instagram and all these different things. So it's
- 35:07Speaker 3: almost like I don't necessarily need to read the story sometimes.
- 35:11Speaker 3: But Buggets of Blood was one of those that I
- 35:14Speaker 3: was like, oh no, he sacrificed himself. I hate this, Like,
- 35:18Speaker 3: why is like all the characters that I love and
- 35:21Speaker 3: care about dying in this very like of course, it's
- 35:26Speaker 3: a big event that a lot of Jedi died, and
- 35:28Speaker 3: so I can't like completely like selfish and being like
- 35:32Speaker 3: I want my characters to live. But buckets Blood was
- 35:35Speaker 3: one that I was just like, guys, just give me
- 35:37Speaker 3: one character, give me one character.
- 35:39Speaker 2: We were all sad it exactly.
- 35:42Speaker 3: Because it was because it was a very it was
- 35:45Speaker 3: a very odd way that he went out too, because
- 35:47Speaker 3: of like the chaos that was happening in Starlate Beacon.
- 35:50Speaker 3: All I remember is some for some reason he had
- 35:54Speaker 3: to strip to his.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Understory nameless blood on his cloak.
- 35:59Speaker 3: Yeah, so he hands it.
- 36:01Speaker 2: To somebody and is like, here, take this, and he
- 36:06Speaker 2: was like.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Peace Yeah, he was like peace out. I'm gonna go,
- 36:11Speaker 3: you know, take care of the nameless and save as
- 36:13Speaker 3: much people as I can. And that was literally the
- 36:16Speaker 3: last thing we heard about him. And then the next thing,
- 36:20Speaker 3: you know, you're flipping through this book and you see
- 36:24Speaker 3: him just talking and I'm like, you're just gonna drop
- 36:27Speaker 3: this here, no context, no explanation.
- 36:32Speaker 2: And I think I think that's an issue number six.
- 36:37Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, so I need to continue with this. So
- 36:44Speaker 3: they are essentially in a prison and it looks like some.
- 36:50Speaker 2: Warden give Drindau, who we got an escape from Valo. Yes,
- 36:57Speaker 2: basically has a giant prison where they have been keeping
- 37:02Speaker 2: like people from ships that they have like captured and
- 37:07Speaker 2: the people from Starlight Beacon, and they are trying to
- 37:11Speaker 2: find Jedi to experiment on or to use with the
- 37:16Speaker 2: nameless to feed them and stuff. Yeah, so that's the
- 37:20Speaker 2: prison that they're in. And Okay, what's his name? It's
- 37:24Speaker 2: not Court, it's oh my gosh, I can't think of
- 37:31Speaker 2: his name. Farzala? Is it Farsala? I think it's Farsala.
- 37:37Speaker 2: It's this guy, this guy.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Yes, I get him and the other Jedi master confused,
- 37:50Speaker 3: Uh oh shoot, because he because what's his name? Rescues
- 37:58Speaker 3: him at the very end, the one that I always
- 38:02Speaker 3: get confused with.
- 38:04Speaker 2: He is.
- 38:06Speaker 3: Uh Jedi Knight.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Forsala thea Yeah, okay, so I got his name right. Yes, yeah,
- 38:21Speaker 2: Barsala and Buckets of Blood were the two Jedi who
- 38:24Speaker 2: stayed behind, yeah, from the comic to try and help
- 38:29Speaker 2: the people in Starly Beacon. Yes, everybody else got to
- 38:34Speaker 2: safety and took the young Wings from Starly Beacon off
- 38:40Speaker 2: along with Lulu. Lulu Lula because she was protecting the
- 38:49Speaker 2: entire crew. So yeah, so I think what happened to
- 38:56Speaker 2: them is talked about an issue number six based on
- 38:58Speaker 2: what I've seen on Twitter.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Who good to know?
- 39:04Speaker 2: Just a shameless plug for Ryan. You can also read
- 39:07Speaker 2: his comic reviews, which have a great summary of what
- 39:10Speaker 2: happens in each issue on them, so I always like
- 39:14Speaker 2: checking out his reviews once I have read the comic
- 39:19Speaker 2: or book. I loved this volume, just kind of going
- 39:25Speaker 2: overall and everything. I love the story that it tells.
- 39:32Speaker 2: I think how they've figured out a way to get
- 39:37Speaker 2: Lula like to like not withdrawal from her Jedi parts,
- 39:45Speaker 2: but like the amnesia that she has.
- 39:48Speaker 3: I kind of dig it while I was reading it.
- 39:53Speaker 3: I was like, Oh, so she's gonna be able to
- 39:54Speaker 3: have her cake and eat it too. But it's not
- 39:58Speaker 3: really that at all because she has lost the part
- 40:01Speaker 3: of herself. Now again this I say, lost a part
- 40:07Speaker 3: of herself, but I think now she is more hole
- 40:09Speaker 3: than ever. It's very contradicting in the thought process because
- 40:15Speaker 3: she I love how they I love the reveal by
- 40:20Speaker 3: the way, how Zene is like about to take this
- 40:26Speaker 3: person's head off and then she's like, oh hold up,
- 40:31Speaker 3: wait a minute, and then it's Lula. That was great.
- 40:36Speaker 3: I love that and then you're like what.
- 40:40Speaker 2: And this is why I'm glad that we review the
- 40:43Speaker 2: volumes and not the individual issues, because I did get
- 40:46Speaker 2: the initial first issue when this came out, and I
- 40:52Speaker 2: was like, what the heck, man, I'm sorry. If you
- 40:56Speaker 2: can hear my baby.
- 40:57Speaker 3: In the background very vaguely, I think it'll be.
- 41:01Speaker 2: I think Matt's trying to put her to sleep at
- 41:03Speaker 2: this point. So I read the first issue and I
- 41:08Speaker 2: was like, what the heck? This is too quick, Like, yay,
- 41:12Speaker 2: I'm happy Lula's alive, but like, I don't like that
- 41:17Speaker 2: she's back this quick, Like I wanted like some more
- 41:20Speaker 2: build up to it, I guess. But then the second
- 41:23Speaker 2: issue really builds that up in like showcases what happened?
- 41:29Speaker 3: Yeah, it The second issue was all about well what happened?
- 41:36Speaker 3: And I do like the biggest thing about The Higher
- 41:43Speaker 3: Republic as a whole is making it relatable as fuck
- 41:49Speaker 3: when it comes to trauma, when it comes to emotions,
- 41:54Speaker 3: when it comes to identity and things like that. When
- 41:59Speaker 3: you're thinking, how could a bunch of aliens have anything
- 42:06Speaker 3: to be like me? And then you read stuff like
- 42:08Speaker 3: this and you're like, holy crap. And it's the reason
- 42:12Speaker 3: why the High Republic has gotten the praise that it has,
- 42:16Speaker 3: and here Zene is very what's the word I'm looking for,
- 42:22Speaker 3: She's very cautious with having like being able to bring
- 42:25Speaker 3: this up. She's like, hey, if you're not ready, that's
- 42:28Speaker 3: totally fine. Like cause again Lula barely quote unquote barely
- 42:35Speaker 3: knows Zine anymore because of this amnesia, and she's like, no,
- 42:39Speaker 3: I think it's time I can finally tell you. And
- 42:43Speaker 3: it goes through. Like I had said before this, there
- 42:48Speaker 3: is a lot of dialogue here because there is a
- 42:50Speaker 3: little bit of talking, but then it gets to these
- 42:54Speaker 3: moments of like nonverbal splash pages and it shows the
- 43:00Speaker 3: sequence of events of her literally just surviving. That's all
- 43:05Speaker 3: it is. She's in fight or flight mode this entire time.
- 43:09Speaker 3: And at a point she does say like, I had
- 43:12Speaker 3: no idea what a Nighill or a Jedi was at
- 43:15Speaker 3: one point. And this is somebody who lived her entire
- 43:22Speaker 3: life knowing nothing but being a Padawan or a young
- 43:26Speaker 3: Wing and a Jedi and all about the Jedi. So
- 43:28Speaker 3: it's a very interesting dynamic with what's gonna come of
- 43:32Speaker 3: the future now we know because we talked about it
- 43:35Speaker 3: in our last episode about the Wedding Bells issue that
- 43:41Speaker 3: is coming out next month. But sorry, not next month
- 43:46Speaker 3: in November. Is it December? I fancy sper Okay, yeah, yeah,
- 43:52Speaker 3: so solicitations are for December. It's October four, December.
- 43:56Speaker 2: Yes.
- 43:56Speaker 3: So so seeing all of this now, I really do
- 44:03Speaker 3: enjoy it. Now we got a little bit from what
- 44:11Speaker 3: I can remember about what she's so traumatized over with
- 44:19Speaker 3: the events of happening on Starlight, but we don't know
- 44:22Speaker 3: the whole story. Yeah, And I think that's what this
- 44:26Speaker 3: whole thing will Annevily be about, because there's these moments
- 44:32Speaker 3: where Lula like is having a panic attack. You can
- 44:37Speaker 3: see it in her face. She's remembering things. And at
- 44:43Speaker 3: this point when she's remembering, you know that at the
- 44:45Speaker 3: moment of her memory, she was a Jedi. She is
- 44:51Speaker 3: somebody who is living that lifestyle. But you see her
- 44:54Speaker 3: force choking somebody and you're like, oh, what is this? Yes,
- 45:02Speaker 3: correct me if I'm wrong, though, the person that she
- 45:05Speaker 3: remembers force choking, isn't that not the individual that she
- 45:11Speaker 3: sees on the beach in the very beginning of this volume?
- 45:16Speaker 2: Yes, I think so.
- 45:18Speaker 3: They look very similar. So I don't know.
- 45:23Speaker 1: I think it's I.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Think it's Cricks, this guy or this person.
- 45:28Speaker 3: Yeah, so I think that was in the first wave.
- 45:38Speaker 2: It was in phase one, yes, yes.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Yes, And that was how we got introduced to Zine
- 45:46Speaker 3: in the first place.
- 45:47Speaker 2: And we're about to jump into our third ad, y'all.
- 45:51Speaker 2: We promise we'll be right back, we promise.
- 45:54Speaker 3: So, and we know that him and Zine.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Where part of the like one hundred and fifty years
- 46:07Speaker 2: later Path of the Open Hand.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Yes, and but they had history. So again, is Lula
- 46:19Speaker 3: ever gonna tell Zine what happened?
- 46:25Speaker 2: I think so, based on like the wedding bows issue
- 46:29Speaker 2: that's to come, I think ultimately like Lula needs to
- 46:36Speaker 2: like face that down and kind of just see what
- 46:39Speaker 2: happens because her whole thing was started Beacon. Now that
- 46:42Speaker 2: I remember the end of Wave one is she's trying
- 46:49Speaker 2: to get Cricks and take him out like and basically
- 46:53Speaker 2: get him back under control. So I think she will
- 47:00Speaker 2: have to come to terms with that because I think
- 47:03Speaker 2: Cricks makes an appearance later on too.
- 47:07Speaker 3: So now surprisingly because another face shows up that I
- 47:15Speaker 3: didn't think we were ever going to see, an actual
- 47:18Speaker 3: visual for which I actually greatly appreciate. We have a
- 47:25Speaker 3: character from Escape from Bellow Show up.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Uh dig it, yes it excuse me.
- 47:35Speaker 3: She is Gavy's quote unquote sister.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Yep and and basically nibbed Rindo's assistant.
- 47:47Speaker 3: Right hand or whatever. Right, Yeah, so how do you
- 47:51Speaker 3: feel about her? Just like up and leaving NIP.
- 47:58Speaker 2: I found that super interesting. I'm interested to see if
- 48:03Speaker 2: we'll get to continue to get panels with her because
- 48:07Speaker 2: she doesn't get a lot of panel time for what
- 48:09Speaker 2: I thought was going to happen because we knew coming
- 48:15Speaker 2: into it, we knew that Drindo was kind of going
- 48:18Speaker 2: to be the main bad for the higher public adventures mhm.
- 48:24Speaker 2: So for what we get in this volume with them,
- 48:29Speaker 2: I don't feel like we get enough. So I want
- 48:32Speaker 2: to see that continue, and I want to see Gabby
- 48:36Speaker 2: get the chance to reunite with Driggett.
- 48:39Speaker 3: I think we're gonna get Gavvy. And because this is
- 48:44Speaker 3: still going right or has it ended, it is.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Still going not taking a break either, so it's going
- 48:50Speaker 2: to keep going.
- 48:52Speaker 3: I think we see Gabby in the story with her
- 48:56Speaker 3: being involved. I think you have to because because of
- 49:00Speaker 3: the chemistry there. So I am going to be greatly
- 49:07Speaker 3: appreciative of that. But I think it's more so interesting
- 49:13Speaker 3: because this warden dude and from this prison, from my knowledge,
- 49:20Speaker 3: has no actual real ties to the Night Hill. His
- 49:26Speaker 3: only tie to the Night Hill was nip and so,
- 49:31Speaker 3: and he quickly turns on that near the end of
- 49:35Speaker 3: this book and he talks to drink it. He goes, hey,
- 49:39Speaker 3: little lady, like, you either stay here and die or
- 49:43Speaker 3: you can come with me, and you know, we'll do whatever.
- 49:47Speaker 3: So the really interesting thing about that is the only
- 49:52Speaker 3: reason why she was a part of the Night Hill
- 49:56Speaker 3: was to keep her family safe. Yeah, because of the
- 50:00Speaker 3: situation on Valow. Well, now that she's walked away from
- 50:04Speaker 3: the Nihill, is she going to be more willing to
- 50:10Speaker 3: help out Gabby in the Jedi or does she now
- 50:15Speaker 3: feel stuck with this random warden war criminal I'm assuming
- 50:22Speaker 3: of some kind and it's still going to go down
- 50:26Speaker 3: that dark path.
- 50:30Speaker 2: I don't know. I think she's she's a wild card.
- 50:35Speaker 3: That's literally I was gonna say she is a wild card.
- 50:37Speaker 3: It's so weird because you have this very emotional story
- 50:43Speaker 3: of like, oh, you know, I chose to be a
- 50:46Speaker 3: bad guy in order to save my family, but you
- 50:50Speaker 3: literally just walked away from that just now what's holding
- 50:55Speaker 3: you back from being good anymore, like, from from going
- 50:59Speaker 3: back to be a good person. Like that's such an
- 51:03Speaker 3: interesting like concept that they created for this for this
- 51:08Speaker 3: wave three.
- 51:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I do have to wonder because Justina has the
- 51:16Speaker 2: next middle grade book. Oh, are we going to see
- 51:21Speaker 2: Gavy ever again? Or is he or like you said,
- 51:24Speaker 2: are they going to show up in this comic.
- 51:28Speaker 3: I think it's might be easier. Well, I don't know.
- 51:32Speaker 3: I mean, it's it's it's all up in the air
- 51:35Speaker 3: and it's really up to them. But we know that
- 51:39Speaker 3: Gavy had a hard stance on staying at Valo to
- 51:44Speaker 3: be like the last line of defense, right, Yeah, So
- 51:49Speaker 3: in my mind, if we see Gavy, it's because whichever
- 51:56Speaker 3: hero we're following, whether it be in the novel or
- 52:00Speaker 3: in this comic, we go to Valo. We don't see
- 52:04Speaker 3: Gabby anywhere else. We go to Valo.
- 52:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm kind of thinking too. We're not
- 52:10Speaker 2: gonna see them jump off and the great Beyond and
- 52:14Speaker 2: like come help. No, until the night Hills cleared off
- 52:18Speaker 2: a ballot and the night Hills no longer a threat,
- 52:21Speaker 2: He's gonna stay on ballot.
- 52:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 52:26Speaker 2: So yeah, like I said at the beginning, I love
- 52:31Speaker 2: this comic. It was, like you said, it was super
- 52:34Speaker 2: easy read. The art is gorgeous.
- 52:38Speaker 3: I want to say. I want to say, and I
- 52:41Speaker 3: do apologize for the person who was drawing the first
- 52:49Speaker 3: wave of adventures they start this book. It's the same
- 52:56Speaker 3: art at the very beginning of this book, but by
- 52:59Speaker 3: the end of the book that art style changes. Yeah,
- 53:05Speaker 3: and I am a bigger fan of the ending art
- 53:12Speaker 3: than I am of the beginning art. And if you
- 53:16Speaker 3: are looking to tell me that it's the same person,
- 53:20Speaker 3: then I am shocked because it looks like completely different art.
- 53:29Speaker 2: So I'm looking at it and I think Totallyboo does
- 53:38Speaker 2: the first three issues and the last two issues are
- 53:43Speaker 2: done by Elisa Rumbully.
- 53:50Speaker 3: She is amazing. Yeah, this design, like, for one, the
- 53:57Speaker 3: way she draws Zine in the last few issues. I
- 54:02Speaker 3: love the way zine is drawn. Zine also under her
- 54:08Speaker 3: artistic style ages like ten years, which I also kind
- 54:14Speaker 3: of appreciate because they've been through a lot, Like I
- 54:17Speaker 3: feel like there needs to be something that shows them that, like, hey,
- 54:21Speaker 3: like yeah, there is there is some sort of change
- 54:23Speaker 3: in me. But also Lula's design and costume in the
- 54:30Speaker 3: very last pages. I love it her like little ear piece,
- 54:35Speaker 3: headband thing, like all of it. I love it. I
- 54:41Speaker 3: love her art. The colors really pop in this book.
- 54:45Speaker 3: I think they've always popped in the High Republic Adventures.
- 54:50Speaker 3: So if you're a really big fan of colors, this
- 54:54Speaker 3: is definitely the book for you to read. And they
- 54:56Speaker 3: also have the I believe it's alternative cover art illustrations
- 55:03Speaker 3: in the back of the book. The cover gallery Joe
- 55:08Speaker 3: Magung and Schari Sherry Eli and she.
- 55:17Speaker 2: Was doing fan art for the series.
- 55:21Speaker 3: That I need that on my wall, that is.
- 55:26Speaker 2: I think.
- 55:28Speaker 3: I need to see if she has a web page.
- 55:30Speaker 3: If she has a web page and this print is
- 55:33Speaker 3: on there, I'm buying it. And then after I buy it,
- 55:38Speaker 3: I'm going to feel a lot better when I ask
- 55:41Speaker 3: Taylor from geek Verse to buy me or print me
- 55:45Speaker 3: off a giant freaking poster of this thing. This looks beautiful.
- 55:52Speaker 3: It is gorgeous. I love just the color combination, the
- 55:57Speaker 3: slickness of it. I love it. It's absolutely amazing.
- 56:01Speaker 2: Oh, somebody took her. I think she got off Twitter.
- 56:07Speaker 3: But I will definitely look to see if she has
- 56:09Speaker 3: a online store.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Okay, here's her Instagram Yeah, this is her Instagram. She
- 56:19Speaker 2: has an Etsy and she also did she did a
- 56:25Speaker 2: cover for the eighth issue of the Higher Republic Adventures,
- 56:29Speaker 2: and I think she has a wedding bells one as well.
- 56:39Speaker 2: I'm gonna share my screen so if you're on YouTube,
- 56:41Speaker 2: you can see.
- 56:47Speaker 3: I start typing it in on Google and then immediately
- 56:52Speaker 3: shows her Etsy page.
- 56:56Speaker 2: Yeah, so there's her issue number eight cover.
- 57:01Speaker 3: She has enamel pins. Oh, it's of Ahsoka, obi Wan
- 57:14Speaker 3: and Anakin. That is these all look great.
- 57:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 57:19Speaker 3: I can't spend money, stop in Clay, hurry, Ribby's gonna
- 57:25Speaker 3: kill me. Okay, we do not have the money to
- 57:30Speaker 3: do that right now. But yeah, all that to say,
- 57:36Speaker 3: absolutely amazing work on this graphic novel or this volume one. Guys,
- 57:43Speaker 3: you can pick it up today digitally, physically wherever your
- 57:48Speaker 3: local cong bookshops are, Barnes and Noble, anywhere and everywhere.
- 57:52Speaker 3: I highly recommend it because, like I said, it is
- 57:55Speaker 3: an all ages book. I think anybody can read it.
- 58:00Speaker 3: It's really really fun, and I love books in the
- 58:08Speaker 3: comic genre that lean heavy into the art, and this
- 58:12Speaker 3: is that book because, like I said, there's a lot
- 58:15Speaker 3: of pages that have very minimal dialogue that uses the
- 58:20Speaker 3: art to share the story and it's absolutely beautiful. But
- 58:24Speaker 3: with that being everything that we have to say about
- 58:26Speaker 3: this book until we start just going in circles about
- 58:28Speaker 3: how great it is. You can always find me at
- 58:32Speaker 3: fanboy Clay on Twitter in any and all social media.
