- 0:00We many times fail to recognize the extent of the impact that
- 0:05the mind and the vital nature have on the body, its health and
- 0:11its capacities for growth, resilience and development.
- 0:16The mind body connection is starting to come into focus.
- 0:19However, when the mind sends repeated suggestions to the
- 0:23body, it impacts the response of the body.
- 0:27It can send positive affirmative messages and the body will
- 0:31respond with a renewed vigor, energy, and resilience.
- 0:36Or it can send negative messages, which then increase
- 0:41the body's sense of helplessness, victimization, and
- 0:45failure. We are constantly taking in
- 0:49thoughts and ideas from our social circle.
- 0:52If we internalize and accept them, they become part of the
- 0:56mental dialogue that we send to the cells of the body.
- 1:00We receive and retransmit what we receive, and in many cases,
- 1:05this occurs subconsciously or entirely unconsciously.
- 1:11Similarly, vital reactions can also impact the body and its
- 1:15strength and weakness. This is where reactions such as
- 1:20fear of harm from a pandemic can play a role in weakening the
- 1:23body and its ability to resist the onslaught of a particularly
- 1:28virulent disease. Some individuals are able to
- 1:32consciously resist these reactions and thus they send
- 1:37strengthening energy to the body consciousness and thereby
- 1:40provide the body additional power to withstand illness.
- 1:45There are many instances of doctors who have waded into
- 1:48wards filled with sickness without fear, and who do not
- 1:53fall I'll themselves. In other instances they may do
- 1:58this for a considerable period of time, but then if the thought
- 2:03creeps in that the disease is insurmountable and they will
- 2:08eventually succumb, then at that moment they open the door for
- 2:13the body to fall. I'll.
- 2:16The mother writes quote. But if when very young, from
- 2:21your earliest childhood, you have been taught all sorts of
- 2:25disappointing, depressing things, things that cause
- 2:29decomposition, I could say disintegration, then this poor
- 2:34body does its best. But it has been perverted, put
- 2:37out of order, and no longer has the sense of its inner strength,
- 2:42its inner force, its power to react if one takes care not to
- 2:47pervert it. The body carries within itself
- 2:50the certitude of victory. It is only the wrong use we make
- 2:55of thought and its influence on the body which robs it of this
- 3:00certitude of victory. So the first thing to do is to
- 3:05cultivate this certitude instead of destroying it.
- 3:09And when it is there, no effort is needed to aspire, but simply
- 3:13of flowering and unfolding of that inner certitude of victory.
- 3:19The body carries within itself the sense of its divinity.
- 3:24There. This is what you must try to
- 3:26find again in yourself if you have lost it.
- 3:30When a child tells you a beautiful dream in which he had
- 3:33many powers and all things were very beautiful, be very careful
- 3:37never to tell him, Oh, life is not like that, for you are doing
- 3:42something wrong. You must, On the contrary, tell
- 3:45him life ought to be like that, and it will be like that.
