Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and the Royal Funeral Controversy (8/11/26) · The Epstein Chronicles

• 0:00
Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
• 0:03
Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. Prince Andrew is back in the spotlight once again,
• 0:10
Speaker 1: and this time it has to do with what will
• 0:12
Speaker 1: happen when he finally checks out, and considering his status
• 0:17
Speaker 1: as a royal, usually it would be a no brainer
• 0:21
Speaker 1: that he would have himself a royal funeral, right. Unfortunately
• 0:24
Speaker 1: for him, these are not normal circumstances, and the fact
• 0:29
Speaker 1: that he's been stripped of all of his titles, of
• 0:32
Speaker 1: all of his honorifics, that should play a role when
• 0:37
Speaker 1: it comes to the pomp and circumstance surrounding his funeral
• 0:40
Speaker 1: when that time comes. So for me, the real question
• 0:43
Speaker 1: is why should the taxpayer be on the hook for it?
• 0:47
Speaker 1: If the royal family wants to, you know, pay for
• 0:50
Speaker 1: it out of their own privy purse, then cool. But
• 0:54
Speaker 1: Joe and Jane, citizens of the UK, regular old people,
• 0:58
Speaker 1: why should they have to pay for this? Isn't it
• 1:01
Speaker 1: not enough that they let this dude grift off of
• 1:03
Speaker 1: them for his whole life, But now even after he
• 1:07
Speaker 1: passes away, whenever that happens, they're gonna have to pay
• 1:11
Speaker 1: again for a royal funeral. I would think that that
• 1:13
Speaker 1: public money would be better spend elsewhere, but I guess not.
• 1:17
Speaker 1: And look again, if he wants to privately have some
• 1:19
Speaker 1: kind of procession, cool whatever, as long as he's paying
• 1:22
Speaker 1: for it or his family's paying for it. Today's article
• 1:26
Speaker 1: is from the International Business Times and the headline taxpayers
• 1:30
Speaker 1: will emphatically not wish to be involved disgraced Andrew's royal
• 1:35
Speaker 1: funeral backlash. This article was authored by Asha Aniga. Royal
• 1:41
Speaker 1: protocol and public accountability collided dramatically when leaked Whitehall documents
• 1:46
Speaker 1: revealed that Andrew mount Batten Windsor remains officially slated for
• 1:50
Speaker 1: a high profile ceremonial send off. Can you imagine how
• 1:55
Speaker 1: many people would not go to this? How many people
• 1:57
Speaker 1: would boycott it? We know Victoria Hervey would be there,
• 2:01
Speaker 1: but besides that, I don't know if anybody would be there. Well,
• 2:05
Speaker 1: maybe uh Alan Dershowitz too, but besides that, who wants
• 2:10
Speaker 1: to show up at Prince Andrew's anything. Despite being stripped
• 2:15
Speaker 1: of his military affiliations, HRH style and working royal titles
• 2:19
Speaker 1: following severe scandals involving convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the
• 2:24
Speaker 1: sixty six year old former Duke of York is quietly
• 2:27
Speaker 1: preserved within the government's confidential contingency framework known as Bridge Plans.
• 2:33
Speaker 1: So now that this is public, my guess is they're
• 2:36
Speaker 1: going to adjust this. I don't think Prince Andrew is
• 2:39
Speaker 1: going to get himself a royal procession through London. I
• 2:42
Speaker 1: don't think we'll see a bunch of people lying in
• 2:44
Speaker 1: the streets to get a good look at the Prince.
• 2:47
Speaker 1: On the flip side of that, I'm sure that some
• 2:49
Speaker 1: of Epstein's survivors wouldn't be missing any sleep whatsoever when
• 2:54
Speaker 1: the time comes. In fact, I think they'll be popping bottles.
• 2:58
Speaker 1: The revelation is ignited intense public outrage across the UK,
• 3:03
Speaker 1: with politicians, legal advocates and taxpayer groups demanding immediate revisions,
• 3:08
Speaker 1: and I think you're going to hear that clamor grow
• 3:11
Speaker 1: and more people demand that the UK taxpayer is not
• 3:15
Speaker 1: on the hook for this. And look, I'm not trying
• 3:19
Speaker 1: to be cruel, right, if somebody passes away, their family
• 3:23
Speaker 1: has every right in the world to send them off.
• 3:27
Speaker 1: My beef is with the taxpayers paying for it. I
• 3:31
Speaker 1: don't find that to be acceptable, and hell, obviously it's
• 3:35
Speaker 1: not even my money, right, But I think it's just
• 3:39
Speaker 1: a complete abuse of power. Honestly, these people have more
• 3:44
Speaker 1: money than you can imagine, but the taxpayer is on
• 3:47
Speaker 1: the hook to bury Prince Andrew's bitch ass. Critics argue
• 3:53
Speaker 1: that affording state backed honors to a disgrace private citizen
• 3:56
Speaker 1: represents an insult to victims and an unacceptable burden on
• 4:00
Speaker 1: public finances, throwing the monarchy into a fresh wave of
• 4:04
Speaker 1: intense scrutiny over institutional transparency and modern relevance. And I
• 4:09
Speaker 1: think that's all fair and valid. It's no shock to
• 4:14
Speaker 1: anybody that the royal family isn't at its most popular
• 4:17
Speaker 1: place right now, and with the Queen passing away and
• 4:21
Speaker 1: Charles taking over, obviously they don't have the shy and
• 4:25
Speaker 1: they once had, and people are not as willing to
• 4:28
Speaker 1: overlook the bullshit. The reason people were so willing when
• 4:32
Speaker 1: the Queen was alive is because so many loved her
• 4:34
Speaker 1: and respected her. But she's gone now and Prince Andrew
• 4:40
Speaker 1: and King Charles can no longer hide behind her skirts.
• 4:45
Speaker 1: Time for them both to step up and be men.
• 4:47
Speaker 1: The claim surfaced in The Mail on Sunday, which alleged
• 4:50
Speaker 1: that the former Duke of York retains his original final arrangements,
• 4:54
Speaker 1: despite King Charles stripping his official titles last year. How
• 4:59
Speaker 1: how's that even possible? If he was stripped, shouldn't that
• 5:02
Speaker 1: mean all the honors that come with it go away,
• 5:05
Speaker 1: including a state run funeral. Ivy Times UK has not
• 5:09
Speaker 1: independently verified the contents of the reported funeral plans. The
• 5:13
Speaker 1: Cabinet Office in Buckingham Palace has declined to comment. Yeah,
• 5:17
Speaker 1: they're not gonna say anything. They never do. One thing
• 5:20
Speaker 1: I've learned about Buckingham Palace and the Royal Family is
• 5:23
Speaker 1: they don't talk. They don't say anything. When a scandal's brewing,
• 5:29
Speaker 1: forget it. They're gonna retreat into the bunker and they're
• 5:33
Speaker 1: just gonna wait for things to pass over. And that's
• 5:36
Speaker 1: what they tried to do with Epstein for all those years,
• 5:39
Speaker 1: and it didn't work. The more they swept that under
• 5:42
Speaker 1: the rug with Prince Andrew, the bigger of a problem
• 5:44
Speaker 1: it became, until finally it detonated. But the Royal family
• 5:50
Speaker 1: was certainly aware of what Prince Andrew was doing, who
• 5:52
Speaker 1: he was with, and they ignored it all because the
• 5:56
Speaker 1: Queen didn't want her darling boy, Prince Andrew to have
• 6:01
Speaker 1: any trouble, but facilitating his bullshit led to more trouble
• 6:06
Speaker 1: than actually calling him on it. Pertinently, the former prince
• 6:12
Speaker 1: lost his military titles and royal patronages under his mother,
• 6:16
Speaker 1: the late Queen Elizabeth the Second. This demotion happened after
• 6:20
Speaker 1: he faced the US civil action over sexual assault allegations,
• 6:24
Speaker 1: which he denied. Virginia Roberts had sued Mount Battan Windsor
• 6:28
Speaker 1: for allegedly sexually assaulting her when she was seventeen, a
• 6:31
Speaker 1: case that reached an out of court settlement in the millions. Allegedly,
• 6:36
Speaker 1: is it okay? I guess all that I know is
• 6:39
Speaker 1: that if I had the money that Prince Andrew has,
• 6:42
Speaker 1: I'm not going into a settlement with anybody. If I'm innocent,
• 6:46
Speaker 1: I'll see you in court. But obviously Prince Andrew didn't
• 6:51
Speaker 1: want to get the discovery. Obviously Prince Andrew didn't want
• 6:55
Speaker 1: to sit for a deposition and ask yourself, is that
• 6:58
Speaker 1: the behavior of an innocent man? Or is that the
• 7:00
Speaker 1: behavior of somebody that has a lot of shit to hide? Later,
• 7:04
Speaker 1: King Charles stripped his younger brother of his remaining royal titles.
• 7:08
Speaker 1: This occurred when the US Department of Justice released a
• 7:11
Speaker 1: tranch of files relating to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Further
• 7:16
Speaker 1: allegations were brought against Mount Baton Windsor at the time. Look,
• 7:21
Speaker 1: there is a lot of evidence that Prince Andrew was
• 7:24
Speaker 1: passing along state secrets, not just to Jeffrey Epstein, but
• 7:28
Speaker 1: the other people. And that's something that's pretty important. Right.
• 7:33
Speaker 1: You're the trade envoy, the son of the queen, and
• 7:38
Speaker 1: you're hopping in bed with every scumbag you meet, whether
• 7:41
Speaker 1: it's a Libyan arms dealer, a Chinese fraudster or Jeffrey Epstein.
• 7:46
Speaker 1: And for what to have a little bit more? Oh
• 7:49
  Speaker 1: I need a little bit more money, I need a
• 7:50
Speaker 1: free stay, I need this, I need that, Lafongoul. You
• 7:54
Speaker 1: don't need any of it. You were the Prince of England, dude,
• 7:58
Speaker 1: and you ruin the whole entire thing. So don't come
• 8:00
Speaker 1: crying to us with hat in hand now about how
• 8:03
Speaker 1: rough you have it. Every single issue you have in
• 8:06
Speaker 1: your life, Joe Exotic of the Windsor family is of
• 8:10
Speaker 1: your own making. The fact that reports say the plans
• 8:14
Speaker 1: have not yet been updated is described by some as
• 8:17
Speaker 1: an administrative oversight. Royal historian raf Hadel Manku told gb
• 8:23
Speaker 1: News that given Andrew's age and health, any decision on
• 8:27
Speaker 1: his funeral is unlikely soon. And I think that's true, right.
• 8:31
Speaker 1: I don't think there's any sign that Prince Andrew is
• 8:33
Speaker 1: suffering from any sort of ailment. But when you get
• 8:36
Speaker 1: of an age, shit can happen quick. Go to sleep
• 8:40
Speaker 1: one night and you just don't wake up. How many
• 8:43
Speaker 1: times have we heard that story? So obviously I don't
• 8:47
Speaker 1: think Prince Andrew is, you know, teetering on the edge
• 8:51
Speaker 1: or anything like that. But when you're a royal and
• 8:54
Speaker 1: you're somebody that's a public figure in the royal family,
• 8:57
Speaker 1: of course there's going to be talk about what after, right,
• 9:01
Speaker 1: kind of morbid, But here we are. He noted that
• 9:07
Speaker 1: the issues around it are not going to be made
• 9:09
Speaker 1: until King William is on the throne. And we know
• 9:12
Speaker 1: that the Prince of Wales has adopted the harshest of
• 9:14
Speaker 1: attitudes towards his uncle, with a new sovereign genuinely risk
• 9:19
Speaker 1: public ire to honor in a strange relative, the messy
• 9:24
Speaker 1: stuff of updating official protocols will simply fall to the
• 9:27
Speaker 1: next generation. Well, if that's what he's counting on, he
• 9:30
Speaker 1: is fit because William wants nothing to do with Prince
• 9:35
Speaker 1: Andrew's bullshit. That is one thing that I'm sure of.
• 9:39
Speaker 1: I'm not sure very much when it comes to this story,
• 9:42
Speaker 1: but I'm pretty sure that Prince William wants nothing to
• 9:45
Speaker 1: do with Uncle Touchy. Earlier this year, the former Duke
• 9:50
Speaker 1: was arrested by Thames Valley Police on suspicion of misconduct
• 9:54
Speaker 1: and public office when he was Trade Envoy. He was
• 9:57
Speaker 1: later released under investigation. Additionally, he was evicted from his
• 10:01
Speaker 1: house of more than two decades, Royal Lodge, and moved
• 10:04
Speaker 1: into Marsh Farms on the King Sandringham estate. These developments
• 10:09
Speaker 1: make a state funded farewell seem rather mad to critics.
• 10:12
Speaker 1: So he got moved from one estate to the next.
• 10:15
Speaker 1: Must be rough, huh. Imagine having such a tough life
• 10:19
Speaker 1: two years ago. About three years ago, now our landlord
• 10:24
Speaker 1: who we were renting from for about seven years passed away,
• 10:28
Speaker 1: and of course that means there is probably going to
• 10:31
Speaker 1: be changes, right, well, changes came. His family decided that
• 10:35
Speaker 1: they were going to sell that unit and we had
• 10:38
Speaker 1: one month to find some place to live. So Prince
• 10:41
Speaker 1: Andrew and his little fucking sob stories about moving from
• 10:45
Speaker 1: mansion to mansion, please miss me with all of it.
• 10:50
Speaker 1: Any ceremony for Mount Baton Windsor which traditionally include recognition
• 10:54
Speaker 1: of his service during the Falklands War. There he served
• 10:58
Speaker 1: as a Royal Navy helicopter COPAI aboard the aircraft carrier
• 11:01
Speaker 1: HMS Invincible. He also held honorary colonelcies of the Grenadier Guards,
• 11:08
Speaker 1: the Royal Irish Regiment and the Royal Regiment of Scotland. However,
• 11:12
Speaker 1: all these military affiliations were removed amid the Epstein scandal,
• 11:17
Speaker 1: as they should have been. This man should have no
• 11:21
Speaker 1: honorifics sorry. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams explained to the People's
• 11:27
Speaker 1: Channel that the idea he should be offered a royal
• 11:29
Speaker 1: funeral is clearly preposterous as he has been stripped of
• 11:33
Speaker 1: his royal titles. He noted that this is a prime
• 11:37
Speaker 1: example of paperwork lagging behind reality. This is an issue
• 11:41
Speaker 1: where plans have very clearly not been updated, Fitzwilliams said.
• 11:45
Speaker 1: The expert pointed out that the former prince received a
• 11:48
Speaker 1: record low popularity rating in Yugov's latest polling, sitting at
• 11:53
Speaker 1: just two percent two percent, so basically Victoria Hervey right
• 11:58
Speaker 1: this dismal figure under Lind's a key point of criticism
• 12:01
Speaker 1: among some members of the public. Taxpayers will emphatically not
• 12:05
Speaker 1: wish to be involved in any such event, as he's
• 12:08
Speaker 1: a private citizen, fitz Williams added, with Hugov polling placing
• 12:13
Speaker 1: the former Prince's public approval at a dismal two percent.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: Financial experts and parliamentarians a like stress that any eventual
• 12:20
Speaker 1: proceeding must be strictly private and funded entirely out of
• 12:24
Speaker 1: private pockets rather than through the public purse. Well, isn't
• 12:29
Speaker 1: that a good idea? Imagine that paying for your own shit.
• 12:33
Speaker 1: So not only in life, was Prince Andrew grifting, This
• 12:36
Speaker 1: son of a bitch is trying to grift after the
• 12:38
Speaker 1: fact too. Now, with all of that said, I don't
• 12:40
Speaker 1: think any of it it's gonna come to pass, And
• 12:43
Speaker 1: that's because Prince William is not suffering his foolish uncle
• 12:47
Speaker 1: Joe exotic. So, like usual, we'll keep an eye on it,
• 12:52
Speaker 1: and when we have some more information one way or
• 12:53
Speaker 1: the other, will update the catalog. All the information that
• 12:57
Speaker 1: goes with this episode can be found in the description
