- 0:35of the show. Folks, welcome, welcome to
- 0:39everyone watching this in the past present future, our I'm
- 0:45host Samuel field. And I want to thank you for
- 0:48joining me and today, folks for the Thursday Edition, as you can
- 0:58tell, By the title of this episode.
- 1:05We are in fact going to go over The aftermath of the podcast
- 1:12that we had with mr. Vickers, and Mission and mrs.
- 1:18Vickers as well, once again, I want to thank both of them for
- 1:24coming on the show on Saturday. Overall, the the episode was
- 1:32terrific. Personally, I feel it's one of
- 1:35the best that I've had certainly this year, but overall I think
- 1:45it may be in the top 10 episodes.
- 1:50I've done all the time and I'm not even exaggerating.
- 1:54So overall very successful And, you know, a lot of people, you
- 2:06know, are interested in the whole we drama corner of the
- 2:12internet and I'm not wrong like any drums, sort of guy, I don't
- 2:16really get into that type of stuff.
- 2:22Well, let me rephrase it this way, I try to avoid the E drama
- 2:28whenever I can. But when you have a podcast and,
- 2:32you know, your you are an animal in an A personality, eventually
- 2:38each drama catches up with you like it or not.
- 2:42And you know, as you guys know, I've been in a few, you know,
- 2:47and since is of Internet drama, you know nothing too major knock
- 2:55on wood but you know, Us were here and the show keeps on
- 3:04rollin. so, I guess I said the The podcast with.
- 3:13Matthew vicious Vickers and his wife.
- 3:18Mrs. Vickers, who. By the way, I I did not
- 3:24originally think that mrs. Vickers was going to be on the
- 3:26podcast alongside mrs. Vickers.
- 3:32I didn't not invite her but you know I figure that You know,
- 3:37mrs. Vickers would kind of want to
- 3:38stay out of the spotlight that she had had enough of the
- 3:44internet, you know, with all the drama.
- 3:49So, you know, I had I had initially just invited mr.
- 3:55Vickers on. And, you know, of course he came
- 3:58on and then, you know, as those who saw the show, no mrs.
- 4:03Vickers popped in kind of In the background I was kind of like a
- 4:09producer if we want to use right out terms for this and it was
- 4:17just a great conversation. I really feel like we had good
- 4:22chemistry mr. Vickers.
- 4:25And you know Apex and I and you know what, he made me laugh a
- 4:31few times he made a picks and I both laugh a few times.
- 4:36I We made him and his wife, laughs a few times more than
- 4:42once, which I'm very happy to say we were able to do, and it
- 4:48was just a lot of fun. And I think that is one of those
- 4:53important things. So, I really enjoyed myself.
- 4:59Apex enjoyed the show. He said it's one of the best
- 5:05episodes we had, and And you know, I agree with him but, you
- 5:09know, so it's always good to, you know, get that feedback from
- 5:12the coast as well and you know, mr.
- 5:17Vickers even message me, you know, I can't like an hour after
- 5:23and said he really enjoyed the show too.
- 5:26And his wife really enjoyed coming on too.
- 5:30So you know, we may be having streams, you know again, and
- 5:36Freight frequently together actually which I know some of
- 5:41you will love and some of you not so much.
- 5:47And that is kind of one thing I want to get into here tonight,
- 5:53folks, because or rather, you know, when you guys are watching
- 5:59this full disclosure, I'm recording this on Wednesday
- 6:03night but by the time you guys, you know, either C or listen to
- 6:09this episode, it'll be Thursday. Obviously, since this is the
- 6:13Thursday podcast and Who knows maybe by the time you guys have,
- 6:23you know, watch this mr. Vickers will have already done
- 6:26his first episode of The Good, the Bad and the rich.
- 6:30It's podcast. Hopefully you've listened to
- 6:35this before then since I plan on dropping this in the morning,
- 6:40but you know, who knows either way though, like I said lots of
- 6:49positive feedback which I always enjoy hearing and You know, that
- 6:57that's great and I love when people love the show love it.
- 7:05However, There are some people who did not like this episode.
- 7:13And folks, I'm just going to be honest here with you.
- 7:19And tell you that as someone who has been doing podcasting for 15
- 7:24years now, it will be 15 years officially on Friday in this
- 7:29Saturday is the, you know, 15 year anniversary show, quick
- 7:35plug for that. But you know, someone who has
- 7:38been doing this since I was a teenager.
- 7:43If there is nothing else I've learned, you know, in podcasting
- 7:50in a in a net, right? Or you know what or whatever you
- 7:54want to call this medium. There, if there's one thing I've
- 7:58learned, It's that you can't, please.
- 8:04The audience. One hundred percent of the time.
- 8:08You can't please 100 on the audience 100% of the time.
- 8:13You just can't do it. and what I mean by that is you know,
- 8:23sometimes some members of the audience and help with the
- 8:27majority of them are going to be really into what you're talking
- 8:31about and what you're, you know, what you're discussing or the
- 8:36guests or who you are or who you're having on and then you
- 8:42know, others just well it's human nature.
- 8:48Not everyone is going to like everything one hundred percent
- 8:51and 10 percent of the time which is fine.
- 8:56Okay? That is you know that's going to
- 9:01be to be expected, right? But what's funny is the way in
- 9:12which some people you know choose to express their dislike
- 9:19for you know the program or for some things.
- 9:26So, you know, in the negative column or, you know, I guess in
- 9:31the criticism column that we've had for the show, you know,
- 9:36suddenly there were, you know, there were some people who, you
- 9:44know, they basically said, well, you know, I wasn't too.
- 9:51Mina, the podcast with mr. Vickers for a bit and he just
- 9:57wasn't my cup of tea. You know, I tried I wasn't even
- 10:01doing but I just didn't like them, you know.
- 10:04Okay, that's fine. You know, I'm okay with that,
- 10:09you know, like I said not, everyone is going to be
- 10:12everyone's, you know, cup of tea 1 and 100 percent of the time.
- 10:16So that the time, I'm sure that there are people who feel that
- 10:20way about me when When I gone to others, people peoples podcast.
- 10:26You know, it doesn't bother me. It's just the way it is, I
- 10:31guess. However, there are some really
- 10:38funny, you know, criticisms because There are groups of
- 10:45people who claim to hate the program, right?
- 10:53You know or claim to hate mr. Vickers or hate me but then they
- 11:01you know, continue to watch the stream you know I wasn't do the
- 11:06episode and just you know, poke there's things and you know just
- 11:13roll end. Old try to try and make me feel
- 11:17bad or try and make him feel bad.
- 11:20Right, so I guess and then we're number those.
- 11:26And some of them you know, crack me up and you know, I don't want
- 11:36to really show any of these or provide screenshots because they
- 11:42some of them have been deleted but be some of them are like
- 11:46from DMS and you know I really just don't share dams probably,
- 11:52but I would say that I got, you know, a couple of You know,
- 12:01Twitter, DM, s-- and by the way, they these are all from, you
- 12:07know, Anonymous like accounts with, you know, people who only
- 12:12have like 12 followers at Max, right?
- 12:17The pretty much an anonymous. So there were a few people who
- 12:22DM Dy me things like well you know, that was a boring podcast
- 12:29and you're boring, you know? And so is mr.
- 12:34Vickers. You know, or you're just as
- 12:38boring as he is, you know? And then when I try and you
- 12:42know, I asked him, you know what was boring about the podcast,
- 12:49you know they couldn't answer or you know, You know, they just
- 12:54got like really snarky about stuff, right, you know.
- 12:59So that's one thing that we got, OK, you know.
- 13:04So I'm boring to you big, whoop. So what you know, tuning tuning,
- 13:11I don't care You know, another. You know, criticism and this
- 13:22one, actually, I do find funny is that I Pay Pal, old faith
- 13:31faith. Vickers, mr.
- 13:34Vickers daughter. I paid by PayPal heard five
- 13:40bucks in order to get mr. Vickers on the show.
- 13:46So essentially, there are, you know, climbing Iceland Bought my
- 13:51interview with mr. Vickers.
- 13:56Now, let me say this faith has retweeted this and put it out
- 14:01there. I did donate to, you know, her,
- 14:08I did PayPal her money for her son's and er it was $5.
- 14:18And, you know, did I do it to, you know, by an interview with
- 14:23mr. Vickers. no, I didn't really I
- 14:30did it because I've been following you know face Twitter
- 14:36for a while and You know, obviously I know her story bit
- 14:44of what happened to her. you know, it's all gun Saga, not and
- 14:53You know, let me say this, I know that she made mistakes.
- 14:59And, you know, clearly she's not perfect, right?
- 15:04I get that, but she does seem to be, you know, doing her best to
- 15:14improve her life gently. And be a good mother to her son
- 15:22Xander which is something that we really don't.
- 15:29You know Foster much in this Society it seems right.
- 15:36You know essentially she is for lack of a better term, you know,
- 15:41maybe not teen mom because she did graduate high school though,
- 15:47you know? I guess technically You know.
- 15:54I think she was born in like, you know, 2001 is what she
- 16:02tweeted once. Anyway point is is she's a young
- 16:06mother, she had the baby out of wedlock Grand, she had, you
- 16:13know, even Ralph's babies. So, you know, that that's kind
- 16:17of a strike in and of itself. But, you know, hey, she's trying
- 16:24to be a good mother and You know, so far, she seems to be
- 16:30doing a pretty good job and even according to mr.
- 16:35Vickers, you know, she's doing a good job so you know as we
- 16:41discussed a bit on the podcast. So prior to the podcast, I did
- 16:45pay power 55 dollars because you know, why not?
- 16:51I just felt like it was a good thing to do.
- 16:55I'm also not going to watch By and say that I do kind of find
- 17:00it wildly entertaining, but you know, myself and other people
- 17:06who kind of, you know, call out Ethan Alpha being the scumbag.
- 17:13Daddy is there's a certain amount of satisfaction that I
- 17:17get from knowing that, even though I'm not a dad, you know,
- 17:23even though I don't have kids of my own, In an indirect way, I am
- 17:28more of a father figure to his own son, then he is I've helped
- 17:35him out more than his son as and, you know, and on one hand,
- 17:42that's sad, right? Because he should be there for
- 17:46son. On the other hand, the community
- 18:02the internet is helping his son out.
- 18:04So there's that too. Right.
- 18:06So I did it partly to help you know, Xander out and help Faith
- 18:13out. I did it partially to, I guess a
- 18:17log Ralph a little bit. I'm not gonna lie about that but
- 18:21in no way Did I think, you know, oh, that's going to get me an
- 18:29interview with, you know, mr. Vickers You know, for sure,
- 18:34like, that's not, why did I did, you know?
- 18:37I donated just because I thought it was a good thing to do.
- 18:44And I had even like started tweeting at mr.
- 18:49Riggers and messaging with him prior to, that and honesty.
- 18:55The reason why I wanted to interview mr.
- 19:01Vickers, as I said, on the podcast, Was because you know II
- 19:07saw the Kino Casino episode. I knew that you know people
- 19:11wanted to know what he thought about all the e drama but
- 19:16meanwhile I'm looking at you know his timeline and I'm seeing
- 19:20all the nerd stuff that he's you know tweeting about and all the
- 19:25pop cultural references that you know he's talking about and you
- 19:32know the political stop. you know, I'm I'm seeing someone
- 19:37who, you know, is kind of just in the same topics that I'm
- 19:40interested in and that was what, you know, really spoke to me in,
- 19:48you know, then Anna, dramas, It is interesting but it's not one
- 19:55of my, you know, favorite subject.
- 19:58So I you know, I just wanted to basically give them a chance to,
- 20:03you know, Express himself and really get to know the man
- 20:08outside of the internet drama and we accomplished that in
- 20:12Spades. I feel right.
- 20:16So it was a it was genuine interview that we did.
- 20:21I didn't pay, you know, I didn't pay for it really you know I
- 20:26just helped out because You know, it felt good to do, right?
- 20:33So that's the I guess, paid to play rumor.
- 20:38That was out there. The other rumor, you know,
- 20:45surrounding mapped, all the, you know critics at is oh you know,
- 20:50you're just hopping on the, you know, bash, he's Ethan Ralph
- 20:55bandwagon, you know, because that's trendy right now and
- 21:01that's the only reason why you had mr.
- 21:04Vickers on, right? And again, going back to what I
- 21:11just said. Had a few seconds ago.
- 21:16I had mr. Vickers on because like I said,
- 21:19he and I share similar interests and he just seems to be an
- 21:24overall fascinating guy. That is the main reason why I
- 21:31had them all on at the same time.
- 21:38You know, did I am on strictly? Because of the whole, you know,
- 21:44internet blood Sports thing. No, but given the fact that he
- 21:52and I are both individuals that were kind of, I guess, you know,
- 21:57sucked into that world. You know what Without Really
- 22:04choosing to be there ourselves? You know I saw an opportunity
- 22:11before me, I saw an interesting guy who I felt that I kind of
- 22:17relates you and granted you know my experience with whole Owen.
- 22:23Benjamin Saga is nowhere near as bad as what happened to, you
- 22:30know, mr. Vickers with Ethan Ralph, like
- 22:33they're not even in the same universe.
- 22:35So, You know, don't misunderstand what I what I
- 22:41mean, but, you know, we both got pulled into, you know, a draw
- 22:47against I will write. So, I saw the opportunity to get
- 22:57them on the show and I saw that he and I were kind of, I guess.
- 23:03Kind of in the same, you know, side of the sphere and kind of
- 23:09on the same road. So, You know, it just seemed
- 23:15obvious, right? Like things seem to match up so
- 23:21You know, why wouldn't I have Mom?
- 23:23I show that seems to be the that seems to be the bigger question
- 23:28and if he gains more notoriety from being on my show you no
- 23:34good. If I gained more notoriety from,
- 23:38you know, having him on as a guest and he blows up and it
- 23:44helps me. Even better.
- 23:48And if we both succeed, that's the best, right?
- 23:56So like I said, you know, interviewing him to gain
- 24:01notoriety was exactly the goal. But if you know if that's what
- 24:06happens then You know, that's what happens.
- 24:16You know, anyone who knows me and Who has fought for the lore
- 24:21of the show? Knows that.
- 24:24I, you know, I interviewed Ben Shapiro back before he really
- 24:28became Ben Shapiro, proper, right?
- 24:31And I've said that, the reason why I interviewed him was
- 24:34because I really wanted to know a lot about Andrew Breitbart,
- 24:39who was been Shapiro's mentor, You know, he had already gained
- 24:44like some Traction in the political Arena at that point,
- 24:47but he wasn't, you know, the Juggernaut, he was that he is
- 24:52now, right? So I didn't end up.
- 24:57So I didn't interview been thinking, oh man, I've got bench
- 25:00pure on. This is going to blow up my, you
- 25:03know, show. At the time.
- 25:07Now, that's not what I was thinking at all.
- 25:09I was thinking more of, you know.
- 25:12Wow. You know, I get, I get a chance
- 25:14to interview someone who knew Andrew bright, if I'm who I
- 25:19deeply admire, you know, and then been blew up and as a
- 25:26result you know of him kind of blowing up and become a huge
- 25:31success. Some people found the podcast I
- 25:34did with him from back in. And 12 hard to believe that will
- 25:40be 10 years that I did that come October.
- 25:44But man time flies I guess. But you know I guess my point
- 25:50with the Vickers is you know, that could very well be a
- 25:56similar situation situation, right?
- 26:00You know I interviewed mr. Vickers just like curiosity and
- 26:05he is starting a job is out now which is another reason why I
- 26:10wanted to have more on because you know, I've been at the
- 26:16podcasting game for a while and you know, wasn't I know, I'm not
- 26:23like the biggest podcast or the biggest YouTube out there but
- 26:30even so I can, you know, help someone, I like start their own
- 26:37podcast. I'm going to do it.
- 26:42And I like mr. Vickers and, you know, he's been
- 26:48good to me thus far, he seems really genuine.
- 26:54Which I'll get into in a sec. And so, you know, I just wanted
- 27:01to help them out and help promote his show and I was glad
- 27:04to be able to do that. Right.
- 27:08So, you know, I've had a lot of podcasters and, you know,
- 27:16different people who I've admired who have helped me over
- 27:20the years. And I'm, you know, and I'm
- 27:22grateful to them for that, you know, exact for one guy who now
- 27:30thinks that he apparently owns my brand just because I add mon
- 27:35once and You know, he never he thinks it just because he came
- 27:43on my show once and then, you know, gossiped and bitched about
- 27:49all the people I was associated with apparently, you know, he
- 27:55thinks that I now owe him like, for eternity or something, but
- 28:01I'm sorry, mr. Broken-down BMW man, that's not
- 28:05how stuff. It works.
- 28:10But, you know, other than other than that guy other than mr.
- 28:17Mooch, everyone who has helped me out, you know, with the show.
- 28:23I'm extremely grateful for right.
- 28:27And so any time I get a chance to help a smaller YouTuber or
- 28:33content creator, even though I am on myself, I'm going to take
- 28:37that opportunity, right? Because promoting each other and
- 28:41helping us grow each other's platforms.
- 28:46That's one of the best ways we can help each other as content
- 28:51creators. And I really do believe that.
- 28:53I know it sounds sappy to people but really this is, you know,
- 29:00this is the podcasting game. Now, we don't have to fight each
- 29:04other and you know, in fact, I think a lot of this, you know, e
- 29:10drama shite would be, you know, The time would be spent a lot
- 29:20better, you know, promoting each other and just giving each other
- 29:23positive feedback. But hey, that's not how that
- 29:26thing works. So you know, who am I?
- 29:31But You know, I wanted to help mr.
- 29:35Vickers without, and hopefully I did, hopefully people tune into
- 29:40The Good, The Bad and The Vicious.
- 29:44So helping him out has been great and that's why, you know,
- 29:48that's another reason why we did the podcast.
- 29:51It's not something just because of cloud chasing You know, and
- 29:59then like I said, the next thing that people said and this is
- 30:05path. Like favorite criticism of the
- 30:09Vickers interview. I've had multiple people And I'm
- 30:15assuming an air route, they're even Ralph trolls, maybe some
- 30:22you know, merch trolls. You know, maybe just other
- 30:31random trolls on the internet. I don't know.
- 30:36You know, I've commented or DME or tweeted stuff at me saying,
- 30:41you know, stop promoting garbage.
- 30:43People like, you know, mr. And mrs.
- 30:46Vickers who just, you know, grift off their daughters
- 30:51situation there. You know, there's scumbag
- 30:53people. You know, or the or my other
- 30:57favorite, they're worse than Ralph.
- 30:59So why promoting them? You know, a mr.
- 31:06Vickers did, what you had to do to help, get his daughter back
- 31:13and I know that horse has been, you know, beat to death.
- 31:18But since you guys want to open this can of worms, You know
- 31:23what? Let's let's keep score here.
- 31:26You know, by my count. Mr. Vickers is a, you know, he's
- 31:31a good hard working on his family, man, who's an
- 31:37entrepreneur and you know nerd and Yeah, I'm pretty soon here.
- 31:46He's going to be, you know, a podcast or any YouTuber within a
- 31:50matter of hours. Granted, he's not perfect.
- 31:56He'll be the first to admit that but he's, you know, he's a guy
- 32:00who seems to want to make content because he's generally
- 32:04interested in doing so and I can tell that from our conversation,
- 32:08he's interested in helping others out to he's helped
- 32:14promote me a few times even though he hasn't even had a
- 32:18show. Yeah you know he's he's helped
- 32:21me out. He even he even Did you know to
- 32:25the show the other night afterwards?
- 32:28So, thank you, mr. Baker's for that as well.
- 32:36But yeah man he just seems like just to gently grip.
- 32:40Great guy. And you know it's funny even
- 32:44though you know where online And even though this whole, you
- 32:52know, Universe this whole kind of space that we're in time.
- 32:57Consecration. The one thing I'm good at the
- 33:02one thing that I've always been good at regardless of whether
- 33:06it's I'll or on the internet is for the most part.
- 33:15If someone is being genuine. With who they are.
- 33:23And I can tell that. Right, if they're being genuine,
- 33:30I can often pick pick up on that, it's just a gut instinct
- 33:35thing. I've, you know, it was always
- 33:38had. And I can pick up on that mr.
- 33:44Vickers definitely seems like one of those types of men and
- 33:49you know, same with his wife, being that type of woman.
- 33:53They just have really good, you know, hearts and they're good
- 33:58people from, you know, my cons and so, you know, I would I
- 34:04would rather promote those people rather than the, you
- 34:08know, attend attend. Seeking a, you know, e drama
- 34:12people, right? Not to say that those guys are
- 34:19entertaining because some of them are but You know, there, I
- 34:26guess then they're not, you know, they're not mr.
- 34:31And mrs. Vickers aren't exciting enough
- 34:33for that space? Some of them.
- 34:36So, they come here instead. And I'm happy to have them.
- 34:42Right. But apparently it's some people
- 34:45that, you know, their garbage people because, you know, they,
- 34:51you know, they took advantage of a situation that they got forced
- 34:55into a now. They're making, you know,
- 34:57lemonade out of it right there. They're making a mountain out of
- 35:01a molehill a molehill and you know you know they're building a
- 35:08house. And making clay out of you know,
- 35:12a pile of shit. Basically there are you know
- 35:16they're taking a bad situation and making a positive thing out
- 35:21of it from my account. And so yeah you want to you want
- 35:27to you know you want to say that I'm promoting garbage people.
- 35:31I'll you random. You know, no name.
- 35:35I only got 12 followers on Twitter.
- 35:39Yeah, you I you keep telling me that, you know, they're bad
- 35:44people. I still haven't found any, you
- 35:48know, no one has made won't tell me exactly what mr.
- 35:50Vickers. Did that makes him worse than
- 35:55anything Ralph? Okay.
- 35:58And I can say that because I'm not part of the, you know, I'm
- 36:03not part of the legal dealings. What eat, what even Ralph did
- 36:07to, you know, his family? Is just it's it's bad and I just
- 36:18downright disgusting. So yeah, you know.
- 36:26Is mr. Is mr.
- 36:28Vickers. Perfect.
- 36:30No. But you know the say I'm
- 36:34promoting a garbage person by having him online him on my
- 36:38show. You know, that that doesn't fly.
- 36:47So I now I will say that, you know, I will say that there have
- 36:53been a time or two where I've had where, you know, I've had
- 36:58people come on my show and then later it was revealed that they
- 37:04were garbage people. Right?
- 37:08And I'm not going to name names because I want I don't want to
- 37:10give those people the satisfaction.
- 37:14But, let me tell you this, the p.
- 37:19The garbage people that I had on my show before they never gave
- 37:24me. like good guy Vibes, like Like mr.
- 37:32Vickers did right? I never like felt like a
- 37:35connection with those individuals.
- 37:41The way I did with mr. Vickers.
- 37:46Right. They're not, they won't really
- 37:48personal. I had the conversation with them
- 37:50because I thought they were interested and they, you know,
- 37:54they were timely for various things going on at the time, but
- 37:58it wasn't quite the same, right? So, you know, yes, I have had
- 38:05garbage people on the show before, you know, and I made my
- 38:11fair share of mistakes as applied to has to.
- 38:13I'm not saying I'm I'm perfect, but I don't think having the
- 38:18Vickers on is, you know, one of them, right?
- 38:26so those are the three, you know, big I guess criticisms of
- 38:31the Vickers interview that, you know, there are the small ones
- 38:34like, you know, oh well, You know, your this is another one
- 38:42that I always loved. And, you know, at this point
- 38:45it's not even specific to this episode.
- 38:48It's just the trolls always love.
- 38:51Coming at me with with stuff like, oh, Sam, you know, you're
- 38:57you're in a wheelchair. Do you have to remove palsy
- 39:01right? Like, that's one of their
- 39:03favorite. Like, go to insult is like, Nana
- 39:06Nana Nana, you're Will, you know, or something like that?
- 39:10And it's like, well, no fucking shit.
- 39:13I am like, I've talked about that.
- 39:20You know it doesn't it doesn't faze me.
- 39:23I don't I don't I don't cry like a baby about it because you guys
- 39:31bring it up. I'm not 6.
- 39:33I'm I'm 27. And if you know if you guys
- 39:37think you know, making fun of my disability is going to make me.
- 39:42Yeah, you know crumble and run away then then you've got
- 39:46something else. You know, you've got something
- 39:51else coming. You know, but but that's always
- 39:56like one of their standard and soldiers.
- 39:59Oh you have you have cerebral palsy really, I didn't know that
- 40:06jam. Thanks for watching me now, I've
- 40:08only been living with it myself for 27 years.
- 40:14Wow, you know, and then another one.
- 40:19Well, you have no, you have no viewers.
- 40:26You write your your no but you're nobody.
- 40:34You know, why would Vickers come on your show?
- 40:38And you know, granted, right? The podcast is small.
- 40:47I might not have a shit ton of people subscribe to my channel,
- 40:53and I'm sitting at around, you know, probably around.
- 41:00Do I think last time I checked it was 787 subscribers on
- 41:07YouTube. but I you know, so granted that's not a lot but I'm
- 41:20still growing and yeah, it might be slow, but I'm doing
- 41:28organically. I'm not paying.
- 41:31I'm not paying for Bots like a lot of these You know, quote
- 41:38unquote, bigger YouTubers that criticize me do.
- 41:44And then the, you know, the other people criticize me with
- 41:47without, well, you have no numbers.
- 41:50It's like, Yeah, but you don't even you don't even have a
- 41:54channel either. Right?
- 41:59The people who owes like, you're nobody most of those people.
- 42:07Don't even have videos on YouTube.
- 42:13They don't even have like subscribers. so, like, yeah, I
- 42:21only have a couple hundred Subs but You know, are you creating
- 42:28content and also? If you're, you know, if you're
- 42:37you know, taking the time to you know comment that on my you know
- 42:45videos you know or on my blog or you know, where are you guys
- 42:52like to go, guess what? That's another view for me.
- 42:57That's another interaction for me, you know, that you're giving
- 43:03me you. The end and an interaction,
- 43:07you're helping me. So, you know, that's a win for
- 43:11me. And this is something that, you
- 43:17know, not just with the Vicar's interview and and we did discuss
- 43:22this on Saturday. But I do want to kind of shift
- 43:30topics here a little bit and I don't want to dive too deep into
- 43:39this subject yet because it will probably be the main subject of
- 43:46Saturday show with being the anniversary show and everything.
- 43:55But you know, honestly folks I always hear people, especially
- 44:01these days you always hear about, you know, Clock chasing
- 44:06and grafting and so-and-so's, a grifter.
- 44:11And so, and so's only doing it for the money.
- 44:18You know and that's that's kind of across the board on YouTube
- 44:24on the internet. Just in general, basically.
- 44:28Right. I've gotten a lot, you know, in
- 44:32the past few years oh you know Sam you're just a grifter
- 44:37mmmm-mmmm or you're just Cloud tasting off of this or that or
- 44:45the other thing. and, You know, to that I say well, you know
- 44:55that that's that's your observation, you know.
- 44:58And a lot of people who cry out, oh, your clout chaser You know,
- 45:07that's what they choose to see. I'm not going to be able to
- 45:11change their opinion because you know, they're just stuck in
- 45:18their way, but Here's what I will tell people.
- 45:27You know, I I've been podcasting for about 15 years now.
- 45:39I started them on when I was. You know, 14 years old.
- 45:49I actually might even 13 years old at the time and you know
- 45:55I've gone over the story before I was a you know, I was I was a
- 45:59political nerd and high school, you know, or I guess back then
- 46:05junior high school and You know, I started a podcast because I
- 46:12wanted it to be the next Rush Limbaugh, right?
- 46:19Because that's just how nerdy I was as a kid and you know II
- 46:26dreams of being on the radio, you know, one day as a kid and
- 46:34so that initially how it started and then, you know, You know, I
- 46:45I did the political thing for a while, and, you know, had some
- 46:51relative Success With It kind of came up through the ranks of the
- 46:59Tea Party Movement. And, you know, the other young
- 47:03conservatives who were also. I mean, I'm not going to mince
- 47:07words. Here, we were all in a way
- 47:10trying to, you know, Rush or imitate Mark Levin, you know, or
- 47:16might take one of those people. And you know, we were all
- 47:19teenagers and it you know, we've all now that we're in our 20s
- 47:24and some of us in our 30s like we all look back on it.
- 47:29There was a vast, we have stayed in touch and we laugh about it,
- 47:33right? You know, that's what happened.
- 47:39but for me personally, like There was the political thing
- 47:48certainly, when I was younger. But as I've gotten older and,
- 47:54you know, I've continued to do this.
- 47:58I mean, I love the medium of podcasting.
- 48:08And I love being able to just talk to people including talking
- 48:16to you the audience. Even though I'm just looking
- 48:19into my camera, I'm still talking to you the audience,
- 48:27whether you're watching or listening to me and your earbuds
- 48:33or your headset or whatever. I was being able to communicate
- 48:42with you guys and share my thoughts and opinions about
- 48:49things on various topics. And, you know, some of its
- 48:56political, but within the last five years or so, you know, I've
- 49:00started to run, move more into, you know, pop culture things.
- 49:05Some of the other interests I've had, you know, through
- 49:10throughout my wife, you know, nerd stuff.
- 49:16You know, Sports on occasion. Just, you know, life stories, I
- 49:23enjoy talking to people, you know, having guests on some
- 49:28famous, some not famous, but who I find it's an interesting at
- 49:33all some you know, guess who I think all finding and then
- 49:38aren't, you know, I've Really, until you do this podcasting
- 49:49thing for a while, right? like it, if you are really
- 49:56committed to Doing a show for the sake of doing a show and
- 50:03because you love it, like that's where I'm at.
- 50:07I love doing the show because I love doing the show right?
- 50:12I mean I I put this shot for free, you know, the vast
- 50:18majority of it, there are people who contribute, you know, to
- 50:25the, you know, to the show financially and I'm extremely
- 50:28grateful for that. But I put this podcast out for
- 50:32free. For the most part, I will put
- 50:35out some bonus episodes, you know, behind a wall and whatnot.
- 50:41And I might start doing that more and more with like bonus.
- 50:44On time. But the overall show has always
- 50:47been free, you know, I don't make a ton of money on it
- 50:53believe me, I'd love to but money is not the reason why I do
- 50:58this show, you know? And the other thing too, is I
- 51:02don't do it for fame either. like, Certainly, it would be, it
- 51:10would be nice to be well-known. And then, you know, in certain
- 51:17in the CERN are, you know, corners of the internet and
- 51:20whatnot in certain Fields, you know, I guess I'm well-known I
- 51:27guess some people. Some people actually have called
- 51:30me famous which is weird because I don't consider my eyes myself
- 51:35famous really at all. But really this, this whole idea
- 51:40of Fame, right? And just being famous for the
- 51:44sake of being famous. It really is overrated and you
- 51:51know, I know oh, you know, Sam you're just saying that because
- 51:54you're a nobody well, believe it or not.
- 51:59You know, Dennis Miller. Of all people, many consider him
- 52:08to be one of the you know Great's of Saturday Night Live
- 52:12and many others. Consider them to be the greatest
- 52:16to do Weekend Update, right? I called, you know, into his
- 52:23show. You know, when he was doing the
- 52:29radio few times and I left voicemails for him when he did
- 52:34his podcast there for a while and I wish I saw a clip of this,
- 52:41but on the last episode of his podcast, I thanked him for, you
- 52:47know, influence me. Sing me and front for
- 52:52influencing the show and I Cited him on to, you know, do this
- 52:58show and that and that final voicemail.
- 53:01Would you still hasn't taken me up on yet?
- 53:03But you know, maybe one day I'm hoping.
- 53:07So, but the one thing he said is, you know, keep doing what
- 53:14you're doing, keep doing what you're doing, babe, keep doing
- 53:18what you're doing, kiddo, you know, Fame is a little Same as
- 53:25overrated, Shasha you know, just keep just keep doing the podcast
- 53:32because you love it and the success will come later, kiddo.
- 53:39That's what he told me, and, you know, kind of responding to my
- 53:44voice mail. And, you know, obviously I could
- 53:49this mat miss that and say You know oh Dennis is just saying
- 53:54that because he's famous and you know he got onto us an l and
- 53:59what not right. I could have taken that attitude
- 54:03or I could say you know. Geez, Dennis has been in Show
- 54:08Business for 40 years, you know, he's seen it all, he's been in
- 54:13the ends and on the out, I'm going to take his Sage wisdom
- 54:20and that's exactly what I've done, you know?
- 54:24So I just I continue putting this shot because I enjoy it
- 54:30and, you know, I am working on growing in the shower.
- 54:38I am working on building the show, don't get me wrong.
- 54:44I would like to, you know, monetize it more and eventually
- 54:49I'd want to be able to do this thing full time.
- 54:54That would be awesome. You know, if I could do that,
- 55:00that is a goal but that is not the ultimate goal.
- 55:05The ultimate goal is to, you know put our good show for you
- 55:08guys and you know, put out a good show for you guys as often
- 55:16as possible. One.
- 55:18You know, do that? Well, also being genuine to who
- 55:22I am as a person right there are a lot of people who gain Same by
- 55:29pretending to be someone else. And, you know, like I said I
- 55:34tried doing that when I was younger, you know, emulating
- 55:37Rush Limbaugh and you know like about seven years ago.
- 55:44Now when I came to Florida or so, I had friend who kind of
- 55:48took me aside and was like, yo Sam, you know, you're not Rush
- 55:53Limbaugh, I your your sandwich filled so be saying what field
- 55:58and that. Kind of set me on the path to
- 56:00kind of, you know, I retired the with the way field analysis and
- 56:04kind of rebranded the show as the filter port and you know,
- 56:08yeah, you know granted the show. The show hasn't like exploded
- 56:16overnight, but I think I've had a nice, you know, steady growth
- 56:21pace. And, you know, I'm just
- 56:23continuing to grow the show and build up.
- 56:26And, you know, I've got my sights set on the future, which
- 56:32is what we're going to talk about moron, you know, Saturday
- 56:36show. So, I advise you to tune in for
- 56:39that and just to celebrate with me on On 15 years of podcasting.
- 56:48So with that in mind folks, I want to thank you all for tuning
