Speaker 1: be in verse 25. And then from there, I'm going

Speaker 1: to ask the Lord where he wants us, what book

Speaker 1: he wants us to go next, to go to next.

Speaker 1: Could be the old covenant, new covenant, it's whatever the

Speaker 1: Lord Wherever he leads, I will follow, right? And hopefully

Speaker 1: Have you ever looked back over your life? Because I

Speaker 1: did this recently. Have you ever looked back on your

Speaker 1: a good question. God has done more. Jesus has done

Speaker 1: let's pray, and then we'll get right into today's morning devotion.

Speaker 1: John chapter 21, verse 25. Again, let me emphasize that

Speaker 1: Lord God, for forgiving us, redeeming us, restoring us, and

Speaker 1: know now that you did so much more. And being

Speaker 1: in you, in Christ, we find our identity. So I pray,

Speaker 1: Lord God, right now, I had your protection over myself,

Speaker 1: my family, my whole entire bloodline, our children, our grandchildren,

Speaker 1: every single person that's listening and watching right now that

Speaker 1: you would give them a hedge of protection as well.

Speaker 1: I speak Psalm 91 over every single first responder right

Speaker 1: now in Jesus' holy name, every fire department, every police department,

Speaker 1: every ambulance, every medical staff, all the first responders. I

Speaker 1: pray a hedge of protection in the powerful name of

Speaker 1: experiencing thoughts of suicide, thoughts of death. Lord God, we

Speaker 1: morning started in victory, right? According to the scriptures. John

Speaker 1: chapter number 21, verse number 25. Bible says Jesus did

Speaker 1: many other things as well. If every one of them

Speaker 1: were written down, listen to this. I suppose that even

Speaker 1: the world itself would not have enough room for the

Speaker 1: books that would be written. This is how the apostle

Speaker 1: John finishes off his gospel of John, his letter, right?

Speaker 1: Because there's more. There is more. Jesus did many more

Speaker 1: things as well. And there's no way in a million years,

Speaker 1: a trillion years or for all eternity that could have

Speaker 1: been written down in books, everything that he did, his miracles, right?

Speaker 1: What he did for the people at his time and

Speaker 1: what he's continuingly doing to the people of our time

Speaker 1: his word that came true, the prophecy, like so much more.

Speaker 1: So that's why I call this one, Jesus did more. Amen.

Speaker 1: Jesus did more, so much more. And we give glory

Speaker 1: to God for that. At least I give glory to

Speaker 1: God for that. Because I know without him, impossible for

Speaker 1: me to do anything good. I can't do anything good

Speaker 1: by myself on my own strength. Amen. The only good

Speaker 1: thing And the only good one, only good person, Holy Spirit,

Speaker 1: Ruach Elohim, that's inside of me is doing the good

Speaker 1: works through me. And the same for you. If you're

Speaker 1: born again, Christ follower, Christian, amen, you know that if

Speaker 1: it wasn't for a Holy Spirit God living in you,

Speaker 1: you would not be doing anything good. Because the flesh

Speaker 1: opposes the Spirit of God. The flesh is not saved.

Speaker 1: Jesus Christ, our Lord, did not come on a salvation

Speaker 1: mission to save our flesh. He came on a salvation mission,

Speaker 1: listen up, to save our soul. Amen. He's the ultimate

Speaker 1: soul winner in all of the universe for all eternity.

Speaker 1: So that's how John closes out his gospel, right? He's

Speaker 1: reminding us that Jesus did far more than what was

Speaker 1: written down, the recorded word, right? The miracles, the conversations, right?

Speaker 1: the healings. Amen. We see it all through the gospels

Speaker 1: and the acts of compassion, which we were hitting on.

Speaker 1: My pastor was hitting on that on a sermon yesterday

Speaker 1: from the time it was recording the compassion of the Lord, right?

Speaker 1: And the moments of transformation that are written, that we

Speaker 1: could literally see in the scripture are only parts, only

Speaker 1: part of what Jesus did. I mean, there's other writings,

Speaker 1: external writings outside of the scriptures that that speak of

Speaker 1: Jesus and what he did. Some of them, I don't

Speaker 1: know if they're valid, but there are outside sources that say, yeah,

Speaker 1: Jesus was real. He lived, died, and rose from the grave.

Speaker 1: And also that he did so many kind deeds, miracles, right?

Speaker 1: Had so many different conversations with so many different peoples

Speaker 1: from different cultures, backgrounds, and religious ideologies. That's the point.

Speaker 1: The point is that Jesus did more. Way more. Amen?

Speaker 1: And this is not heresy. It's not heretical. It's the

Speaker 1: fact that we know what we were supposed to know.

Speaker 1: God allowed us to see his revelation as far as

Speaker 1: he wanted us to see his revelation on this side

Speaker 1: of eternity because we have another side of eternity with him.

Speaker 1: If you're born again, that means if you trusted in Jesus,

Speaker 1: put your faith and hope in Jesus, you repented of

Speaker 1: your sins, you asked Jesus to forgive you, he fills

Speaker 1: you with his Holy Spirit, And then you can go

Speaker 1: ahead and believe his word and confess Jesus as Lord.

Speaker 1: If you've done what Romans chapter 10 verses 9 through 11,

Speaker 1: 9 through 13 around there says, then you're saved. You're

Speaker 1: born again. We're in the family of God, right? And

Speaker 1: that's the point. What God has done cannot always be

Speaker 1: contained in a book. I mean, to me, that makes

Speaker 1: so much sense. Of course. Like, are you kidding me?

Speaker 1: You think, you think the, Like, I got Bibles all

Speaker 1: over the studio. But let's look at this one real quick,

Speaker 1: I mean, it's pretty thick, small. This is the Maxwell

Speaker 1: Leadership Bible. Amen. I know that there's no way that

Speaker 1: this book can contain everything that the Lord Jesus did.

Speaker 1: I just know it. But I'm so grateful, right, and humbled.

Speaker 1: that he gave us this information that we do have.

Speaker 1: So even this information that we do have, one verse

Speaker 1: could last a lifetime of what Jesus said, right? But

Speaker 1: imagine trying to say that this is the finite, this

Speaker 1: is the infinite version of the scripture that has everything

Speaker 1: that Jesus did. I don't think I could honestly say that.

Speaker 1: I don't think any honest theologian could say that or

Speaker 1: any Bible scholar could say that. I think there's more

Speaker 1: and I know there's more As a matter of fact,

Speaker 1: John says there was more. No books can contain it.

Speaker 1: So he was just blown away by what Jesus was doing.

Speaker 1: And he knew what Jesus was going to continue to do.

Speaker 1: And he had the word of truth. He saw the

Speaker 1: word of truth. He was living and functioning and having

Speaker 1: his way. with the lord of hope right the living

Speaker 1: be contained in the book or even words like go

Speaker 1: ahead and write a paragraph of what jesus did in

Speaker 1: your life you're going to start noticing that like, wow,

Speaker 1: just a paragraph, Sam, I'm going to need like a

Speaker 1: whole encyclopedia. I'm going to need some space, some room.

Speaker 1: Let me write, right? And you're going to continue to

Speaker 1: keep on going and writing and writing and writing. If

Speaker 1: you ask me how many times Jesus showed up in

Speaker 1: my life, this episode will probably take 10 hours, 12 hours,

Speaker 1: because there's so much that he has done and there's more, right?

Speaker 1: I can't get up here and say, I'm going to

Speaker 1: tell you everything the Lord did in my life, and

Speaker 1: we're going to do it in 20 minutes. I can't

Speaker 1: do that. There's so much more. And you can testify, too,

Speaker 1: that Jesus did way more in your life than you

Speaker 1: could even explain, that I could even explain. But we

Speaker 1: know he did it. Listen, my salvation, I know I'm saved.

Speaker 1: I know Jesus showed up. He revealed himself to me.

Speaker 1: But I can't explain to you how he did it.

Speaker 1: I just know he did it. He changed my life.

Speaker 1: I can't explain to you how because I'm not God.

Speaker 1: He's God. So I'm humbled by the fact that I

Speaker 1: called them out drunk and high in the year 2001.

Speaker 1: I was really raunchy and disrespectful. And I didn't call

Speaker 1: on the name of Jesus. I called on this unknown

Speaker 1: God at the time. I said, whoever you are, if

Speaker 1: you're real, go ahead and change me. If you don't

Speaker 1: change me, this was my testimony, is my testimony. If

Speaker 1: you don't change me by the time I wake up

Speaker 1: tomorrow morning, there is no God. I'm going to keep

Speaker 1: it moving. Now, mind you, he did not have to

Speaker 1: reply or respond to such vulgar, my vulgar ways, drunken

Speaker 1: high calling a holy God out as if I deserved

Speaker 1: him to answer me. But because he said, okay, I'm

Speaker 1: going to deal with you because I love you. And

Speaker 1: he knew my heart. He knew I was desperately calling

Speaker 1: on this guy that could transform me because I knew

Speaker 1: where I was headed. I know what I was doing.

Speaker 1: I knew me, I thought I knew me, but he

Speaker 1: knew me way more and he knew the call of

Speaker 1: my heart. Even though I was in a raunchy state,

Speaker 1: a wretched state, right? Nothing righteous about what I was

Speaker 1: calling God out on, but because of his kindness and

Speaker 1: his compassion and his love and his grace and his mercy,

Speaker 1: he responded, revealed himself to me and changed my entire life.

Speaker 1: What about you, right? So there's probably prayers that that

Speaker 1: he answered, literally answered, that nobody knows about. Right? Sometimes

Speaker 1: there was a testimony yesterday that a prayer was answered

Speaker 1: and the person forgot about the prayer, wasn't even expecting it,

Speaker 1: and then Jesus just showed up with an answer. Amen?

Speaker 1: Clear as day in his car. He says, you're mine.

Speaker 1: And then Jesus spoke. God spoke to this person. How

Speaker 1: about this? There's doors he opened that you and I

Speaker 1: didn't ever expect to open. This right here wasn't expecting

Speaker 1: God to open this. Amen? I just want it to

Speaker 1: be used. Used by God. Useful for God, for his kingdom.

Speaker 1: Then he opened up this platform, and then the rest

Speaker 1: is history. I'm like, wow. Okay, Lord. Praise God, right?

Speaker 1: No clue. I have very little biblical schooling, if you

Speaker 1: But what I do have is Holy Spirit. And I

Speaker 1: rely on Holy Spirit to move through these morning devos.

Speaker 1: Because there's nothing really special about me. Everything that you

Speaker 1: get that's good coming through me or that's special coming

Speaker 1: through me or that's good in the teachings, that's all

Speaker 1: Holy Spirit got. Amen. I'm just showing up and being available.

Speaker 1: And humbling myself enough to be like, yeah, if you

Speaker 1: don't speak, Lord, I don't know what to say. If

Speaker 1: you don't teach, Lord, I don't know how to teach, right?

Speaker 1: If you don't preach, Lord, I don't know how to preach.

Speaker 1: It's a humble situation going on here, amen? If you

Speaker 1: know me, you know there's nothing to brag about, amen?

Speaker 1: What you see is what you get. And what I

Speaker 1: could give, I'm going to give the Lord Jesus Christ, amen?

Speaker 1: The greatest gift I could ever give somebody in my

Speaker 1: whole entire life is an introduction to my Lord and

Speaker 1: my Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. People take it, or

Speaker 1: sometimes they leave it. Amen. It's not up to me

Speaker 1: who gets saved or not. It's not up to me

Speaker 1: to change people, to transform people. Amen. That's the work

Speaker 1: of Holy Ghost. Amen. Holy God, Holy Spirit. That's his work.

Speaker 1: He does the convincing and the conviction of sin, and

Speaker 1: then he does the rest. He leads people to the

Speaker 1: righteousness and holiness and grace of God. greatest gift you

Speaker 1: could ever expect to get from me is the gospel.

Speaker 1: So there are times he protected us and we didn't

Speaker 1: even know he was protecting us, right? We didn't know

Speaker 1: why we were late, that we had so much time

Speaker 1: to get to a place. And then God put all

Speaker 1: this traffic in the way all of a sudden. And

Speaker 1: I'm learning not to complain no more. I just know that, okay, God,

Speaker 1: you allowed this to happen. I was supposed to be

Speaker 1: there an hour ago, right? This just really, literally happened.

Speaker 1: And the closer I was getting to my destination, I

Speaker 1: promise you, by God, the more time it was taking

Speaker 1: me to get to, like, I literally saw the map.

Speaker 1: Ten miles away, okay, hour. Five miles away, hour and

Speaker 1: a half. Like, how is the time going up? But

Speaker 1: could it have been that God was helping me or

Speaker 1: sparing me from an accident on the road? Who knows?

Speaker 1: I just know God is good and he's faithful to

Speaker 1: his word. So he protected us even when we didn't

Speaker 1: realize we were in any danger, right? God's protecting us.

Speaker 1: How about this? He gave us strength. That's why Jesus

Speaker 1: did so much more. He gave us strength even when

Speaker 1: we thought we could have kept going on our own strength, right?

Speaker 1: Or how about this? When we didn't have any strength,

Speaker 1: He gives us strength, right? Jesus does so much more

Speaker 1: than what we read in the scriptures. But listen, read

Speaker 1: the scriptures. Don't get this twisted as I'm trying to say, oh,

Speaker 1: you don't need to read the scriptures. Just know that,

Speaker 1: you know, Holy Spirit is going to teach. Yeah, Holy

Speaker 1: Spirit is going to lead us into all truth. The

Speaker 1: truth is in the scriptures. So we keep on reading

Speaker 1: what the Lord asks of us to read. And this

Speaker 1: is word. So we know that Jesus did more. That's

Speaker 1: a good reminder of God's faithfulness for us to remind

Speaker 1: ourselves that Jesus did more than what we see in

Speaker 1: the scriptures, but let's honor the scriptures. Let's read, study

Speaker 1: the scriptures, and show ourselves approved. Let's not be deceived

Speaker 1: that we could go on these social media platforms or

Speaker 1: even my morning devo and get enough. No, God wants

Speaker 1: more time with us. Amen? Amen. Set some time apart

Speaker 1: to get into the Word of God. Pray. Study the

Speaker 1: Word of God, right? Evangelize. Reach at least one person

Speaker 1: every day with the gospel message. That's not a lot

Speaker 1: to ask for because you probably run into a lot

Speaker 1: of people as much as I run into a lot

Speaker 1: of people. A kind word, kind gesture, a smile, a

Speaker 1: listening ear, amen, will lead to open doors of giving

Speaker 1: people or sharing the gospel with somebody or your testimony.

Speaker 1: Very simple. It's very easy. It's very practical. You might

Speaker 1: be thinking, well, nobody wants to hear it. That's not true.

Speaker 1: Even when I was out there in the world, deep

Speaker 1: down inside, I wanted to hear something different than what

Speaker 1: the world was offering. I wanted to hear, I knew

Speaker 1: there was some truth. I knew I was living, I

Speaker 1: wasn't living in the truth. I was living in an

Speaker 1: altered reality, but it wasn't the truth that could satisfy me.

Speaker 1: I was looking for satisfaction more than anything else. Amen.

Speaker 1: And thank you, Jesus. Right. All glory to God that

Speaker 1: he was kind enough to meet me where I was

Speaker 1: to take me to where he's going. Right. So Jesus

Speaker 1: did more than what's in the written word. That's not heretical.

Speaker 1: And he's still working in our lives today. We could

Speaker 1: see it. And sometimes even I'm at a spot in

Speaker 1: my life, man, even if I don't see God working

Speaker 1: I just know he's working. Even if I don't see

Speaker 1: him in a situation that I'm in, he's still there, right?

Speaker 1: The Bible says, even if you make your bed in hell,

Speaker 1: God is still there. Amazing. You know the separation between

Speaker 1: us and the Lord for all eternity because of sin,

Speaker 1: and if you reject the Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible

Speaker 1: says you're going separate from him for all eternity. You

Speaker 1: know that God made all things, right? Heaven, hell, he

Speaker 1: made it. But although hell wasn't made for us, it

Speaker 1: was made for the devil and his demons. But we,

Speaker 1: as human beings, got curious and we find ourselves there.

Speaker 1: But you know that God's presence is everywhere. You know

Speaker 1: what's not present in hell, like the separation for all eternity?

Speaker 1: His goodness. You're not going to find his goodness in

Speaker 1: a place separated from him right but he's omnipresent he's

Speaker 1: everywhere he's everywhere here he's everywhere there he's Jehovah Shammah

Speaker 1: the God who is here the God who is there

Speaker 1: nothing that's why the Bible says nothing can separate us

Speaker 1: from the love of God no heights, no depths, no demon, devil, right? People, circumstance,

Speaker 1: nothing could separate us from the love of God. But

Speaker 1: sometimes we get in the way of what God is

Speaker 1: doing in our lives because we start bartering, like filling

Speaker 1: ourselves with hatred and anger and all that stuff. I

Speaker 1: ask God daily for grace. Help me out, Lord. If

Speaker 1: this world is broken, people will disappoint you, right? But

Speaker 1: God will never disappoint you. God is not broken. We're

Speaker 1: not broken. Amen. When you were born again, amen, the

Speaker 1: fixing up process started happening. I'm no longer a broken man.

Speaker 1: I am broken in a sense that I'm heartbroken. Some

Speaker 1: people have broken my heart and I probably broke some

Speaker 1: people's heart. That kind of brokenness, yes. But saying that

Speaker 1: I'm broken, like I have no structure in my life

Speaker 1: or that I'm all Going this way and going that way. No,

Speaker 1: God has shown up in our lives to fix the brokenness,

Speaker 1: to bind the heart, right? To heal the heart, soothe

Speaker 1: the pain. But nowhere that I see Jesus saying that

Speaker 1: it's going to be an easy road. As a matter

Speaker 1: that was Jesus. No, Jesus doesn't fail anyone. Look at

Speaker 1: his track record in the scriptures. He has no losses whatsoever.

Speaker 1: but in my humble opinion, I think God was started

Speaker 1: when we gave our life to him. That's when things started.

Speaker 1: So for me, 2001, that's when God started working through

Speaker 1: my life because I humbled myself. This thing didn't just start.

Speaker 1: God was working miracles, signs, and wonders way before we

Speaker 1: got here. Amen? So that means that there's more. So

Speaker 1: of God, any ministry, any church leader, or anybody that's

Speaker 1: met the Lord Jesus Christ. And then from that point on,

Speaker 1: God has been working tremendously in their hearts and their lives.

Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything, such thing as a small church,

Speaker 1: a small ministry, a small radio station, a small online network.

Speaker 1: God asks of us to do with kingdom people. Amen?

Speaker 1: Last time I checked, the kingdom of God is eternal, huge, everlasting,

Speaker 1: just like God's love is everlasting. So there's nothing small, right,

Speaker 1: about a ministry that's preaching the gospel. Nothing small about that.

Speaker 1: And they have not just begun. You know, I learned

Speaker 1: and it seems like they came out of nowhere, and

Speaker 1: now they're just famous. Nine out of 10 of those artists,

Speaker 1: 20 years, right? They didn't get stardom or fame overnight.
