- 0:20Speaker 1: you know, BT special guests in the building, baby and
- 0:30Speaker 1: Maddie is in the building, strip and she and she
- 0:37Speaker 1: came to us. I forget what episode, but it was
- 0:39Speaker 1: very early in the ball Alert Games the seventeen I
- 0:41Speaker 1: know because I remember I had what did I have to?
- 0:46Speaker 1: Did you get sled a fact? Step sp what's up?
- 0:54Speaker 1: What's up? What's up? What's up? You know. I'm just
- 0:55Speaker 1: happy to be here. You know, we're glad you pulled
- 0:57Speaker 1: up on this. So much has changed for um, that
- 1:00Speaker 1: first interview that we had with you, when you had
- 1:03Speaker 1: one food truck, you had no stores, no locations, yet
- 1:07Speaker 1: you literally had your first food truck. Now I got restaurants.
- 1:12Speaker 1: So people still say slutty vegan. But I'm also the
- 1:15Speaker 1: founding CEO Barbie exactly whole bunch of snaps Co Foundation. Yeah,
- 1:23Speaker 1: I'm hoping up another concept, right man, we stop, stop,
- 1:28Speaker 1: stop stop. You're a special guest hosting you're hosting the
- 1:31Speaker 1: show with us. Okay, alright, alright, okay, I'm gonna's Sue
- 1:34Speaker 1: taping you in the second. Wait, wait, suits, I want
- 1:38Speaker 1: to get to the show. Can we get started? Okay,
- 1:45Speaker 1: we got to talk about making the Stadion and Tory
- 1:48Speaker 1: Lanes guys that you guys were following the case. I
- 1:50Speaker 1: can't listen to think he shot her or not he did.
- 1:57Speaker 1: I don't like getting people business. But because I know
- 1:59Speaker 1: the background of the story, because I'm always on the blogs,
- 2:04Speaker 1: what I will say is that you gotta be mindful
- 2:07Speaker 1: of who you consider your friends. Right, people that you
- 2:11Speaker 1: call your friends, they have to be an asset to
- 2:14Speaker 1: you and not a liability. You cannot be around me
- 2:17Speaker 1: if you're going to drain my battery every time you
- 2:19Speaker 1: come around. And that's it's not talking about Megan and
- 2:21Speaker 1: the other girl. I'm talking about people that you allow
- 2:24Speaker 1: in your atmosphere. If you're gonna be my atmosphere, I
- 2:26Speaker 1: gotta feel stronger and better after you leave me. If
- 2:29Speaker 1: I feel depleted and sad and upset, then that means
- 2:32Speaker 1: I need some new friends. So that's what I'll say
- 2:34Speaker 1: about that. It's a lot going on. I feel like
- 2:37Speaker 1: I'm watching Court TV on Instagram. Is gonna be a
- 2:40Speaker 1: Lifetime movie? Or something. I don't think it's gonna be
- 2:45Speaker 1: like this. His career is on the line, right, So yeah,
- 2:50Speaker 1: but celebrities at this point, it's a reputation game, right,
- 2:53Speaker 1: because the reputation is gonna bring you money. Who loses that?
- 3:01Speaker 1: Because y'all got us all on Instagram and we look
- 3:04Speaker 1: I feel like we're watching TV as well. I do
- 3:06Speaker 1: believe that all three people or I heard for Kylie
- 3:09Speaker 1: or Kylie, right, I do believe they all know the story,
- 3:14Speaker 1: but everyone's saying something different to get this case this
- 3:18Speaker 1: mass they will throw this case out. Kylie Jenner paid
- 3:22Speaker 1: to not be I'm drinking out, paid not to be
- 3:27Speaker 1: in court. I was kind of washed, but you know,
- 3:32Speaker 1: skin washed by the way I was gonna say. I
- 3:33Speaker 1: believe all four people know what happened, and they're just
- 3:37Speaker 1: throwing this whole thing off because it's gonna get a mystery.
- 3:40Speaker 1: It's gonna be a mistrog I don't believe that they
- 3:43Speaker 1: we all know that. You think that Tory did not
- 3:45Speaker 1: shoot you? When you say that, wait, I think what
- 3:49Speaker 1: Licorate is involved. You don't know what the hell happened.
- 3:53Speaker 1: They're about it did some ship when they drunk it
- 3:55Speaker 1: don't remember what happened to your team Tory Megan. Megan
- 4:00Speaker 1: came on I G Live and said, Tory shot me.
- 4:03Speaker 1: The only thing I almost say was when I was
- 4:05Speaker 1: watching the case, they said that, uh, they said that
- 4:07Speaker 1: Tory lanes and not shoot her. So somebody shot. I
- 4:10Speaker 1: don't know who, because you don't think you don't think
- 4:13Speaker 1: shot her. I don't know, So I think let me
- 4:20Speaker 1: tell you all what I think. I think that overall
- 4:22Speaker 1: this is a takeaway for everybody outside of just a
- 4:24Speaker 1: friend thing, right, like from I don't even know the
- 4:28Speaker 1: back story because that ain't my business, but I'm being
- 4:30Speaker 1: nosy so I know a little bit about it. But
- 4:33Speaker 1: I really feel like this is a lesson to everybody
- 4:36Speaker 1: that what you do when you're intoxicated ken and will
- 4:39Speaker 1: work against you in the court of law. And that's
- 4:41Speaker 1: the track. Yeah, like, be mindful of what you do.
- 4:44Speaker 1: You are not exempt just because you're a celebrity. And
- 4:47Speaker 1: we did find out that Megan and her friends slept
- 4:49Speaker 1: with Tory, Yeah, and then we found out that Ben
- 4:52Speaker 1: Simmons did too. But I put in and that safe listen,
- 4:56Speaker 1: because I'm now on the side of defense, right, and
- 4:58Speaker 1: a lot of things that I've think about me on
- 5:01Speaker 1: the internet. Okay, come on, Vegan, that's what the text wasn't.
- 5:08Speaker 1: What would you do if the burger really wasn't? It's
- 5:11Speaker 1: still good? Oh, that would be my whole career, you
- 5:14Speaker 1: know how I'm saying, like so many people that have
- 5:16Speaker 1: different articles and put stuff out about celebrities, myself included.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And I don't even consider myself a celebrity, but I'd
- 5:21Speaker 1: be like, I did not say that your celebrity accepted
- 5:28Speaker 1: with influence. Okay, but yeah, ship don't always be real
- 5:32Speaker 1: on the internet, right, So like you gotta take it
- 5:35Speaker 1: for face value. So just because y'all think that they
- 5:37Speaker 1: had sex, they probably didn't. Who knows, unless she was
- 5:40Speaker 1: the condomore, the penis that was there, how you go? Okay?
- 5:43Speaker 1: But Megan went on Ellen she was that was Oprah's
- 5:48Speaker 1: frying gil Gil and said, I did not sleep with
- 5:51Speaker 1: Tory Lanes And then come to find out she sleep
- 5:53Speaker 1: with Tory Lanes. Well, first of all, we knew she
- 5:57Speaker 1: was pausing the interview. They actually yeah, we already she
- 6:02Speaker 1: denied it, but it came out of court. That's the
- 6:04Speaker 1: thing I love about court because it's all about what
- 6:06Speaker 1: you can prove, and you have to tell the truth.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I don't know what Kelsey thought she was doing. Well,
- 6:10Speaker 1: now you don't don't have you purchase yourself like Kelsey
- 6:15Speaker 1: is doing, but you will serve time for that toomunity
- 6:21Speaker 1: still overseas, did you guys see moving right along London
- 6:24Speaker 1: on the tracks served his baby mama ebony child support
- 6:26Speaker 1: papers in a Christmas box? Did you guys see that
- 6:29Speaker 1: damn that he custody of his child with her. This
- 6:37Speaker 1: is the one that goes back and forth. They're cool
- 6:38Speaker 1: and then they they're not cool. They're cool and they're
- 6:41Speaker 1: not cool often. I don't want to talk about man fatherhood,
- 6:45Speaker 1: but it just don't see shouting out to dad's that
- 6:47Speaker 1: co parents, to dads that like do the right thing,
- 6:52Speaker 1: shout out to people that don't got to be together
- 6:53Speaker 1: but they could be friends and take it in right. Like,
- 6:56Speaker 1: you don't really see a lot of that now, but
- 6:58Speaker 1: when you see it, it's rare. But us exist and
- 7:01Speaker 1: it sucks that, like kids gotta grow up in the
- 7:03Speaker 1: midst of the battle between parents. Like I see people
- 7:06Speaker 1: that I know personally that go back and forth. It
- 7:08Speaker 1: really don't even be about the kids. It's the fact
- 7:10Speaker 1: that they really want to be with and they're mad.
- 7:13Speaker 1: So it's an emotional connection that they haven't healed from.
- 7:16Speaker 1: And as a result of that, the kids get spied, right,
- 7:19Speaker 1: And that's not fair to the children, because that's what happens.
- 7:21Speaker 1: They grow up feeling Daddy listen and mommy list and
- 7:24Speaker 1: then be out and be grown. And they'd be looking like, oh,
- 7:26Speaker 1: they're too damn grown. That's because they were trying to
- 7:28Speaker 1: figure out, like who's paying attention to me? That's literally
- 7:31Speaker 1: what happens. So I haven't seen that, but you know,
- 7:34Speaker 1: it just sucks it. You know. I hope the rumors
- 7:37Speaker 1: about him are not true. I hope he is a
- 7:39Speaker 1: present father. I hope he's not verbally abusive or you know,
- 7:42Speaker 1: emotionally abusive. But I just don't understand, like why now
- 7:45Speaker 1: I want to have primary custody of the child? Like
- 7:47Speaker 1: why now? Is it a fight? Is it you mad
- 7:50Speaker 1: about something? Like what's the problem? How you gonna take
- 7:53Speaker 1: everybody London? Where you dontall? You donna be home be
- 7:56Speaker 1: outside doing everything else? Going to the street. Right back
- 8:00Speaker 1: with more of The Baller Alert Show. You're listening to
- 8:04Speaker 1: a special edition of The ball Or Alert Show. Hey,
- 8:06Speaker 1: what's up? It's your girl, Pinky, co founder and CEO
- 8:09Speaker 1: of the world famous Slutty Vegan a t L. And
- 8:12Speaker 1: you were locked in to the ball Alert show available
- 8:15Speaker 1: wherever you can get your part. We are bad with
- 8:17Speaker 1: the ball or show. Pinky is in the builder. How
- 8:19Speaker 1: it's going now, it's coming very good. I told my
- 8:22Speaker 1: route and my friends um that I'm considering being the
- 8:25Speaker 1: vegan what you got, I've just been. I've been feeling
- 8:28Speaker 1: real bad every time I eat red meat and bothering
- 8:31Speaker 1: me really bad. Okay, I'll be a coach. Really, how
- 8:35Speaker 1: do you coach someone it's a vegan vegan is, so
- 8:39Speaker 1: I don't coach vegan is and my coach mindset right,
- 8:42Speaker 1: So it really starts with your mindset, like you want
- 8:45Speaker 1: to get up and work out and do something different
- 8:47Speaker 1: with yourself. It starts right here. That's what you told me. Yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you can get this all day long. You can say
- 8:51Speaker 1: you should have, could have, would have, But who cares
- 8:52Speaker 1: about that? If your mind nate made up, It's like
- 8:55Speaker 1: being in a bad relationship. When you're ready to go,
- 8:57Speaker 1: your mind gotta be made up. Otherwise you're just gonna
- 9:00Speaker 1: sit there and wallowing it. So when it comes to
- 9:02Speaker 1: veganism and change your lifestyle. You start small, make up
- 9:05Speaker 1: your mind that you want to feel better, you want
- 9:07Speaker 1: to look better, So then start removing pork. If you
- 9:09Speaker 1: eat pork, then go to beef, then go to turkey,
- 9:12Speaker 1: then go to chicken, then go to fish. Then take
- 9:14Speaker 1: our cheese and then allow you look up in your cheese.
- 9:18Speaker 1: You can do cheese because it's vegan regular cheese. Like
- 9:25Speaker 1: vegetarianism more better, you know, just pestutarian. You could be
- 9:29Speaker 1: pestutarian and pestarian still eat fish. Even if you don't
- 9:32Speaker 1: want to go vegan. People feel like you gotta go
- 9:34Speaker 1: vegan just to like be right. Just that's not true.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Like vegan is like level ten, you know. To me,
- 9:40Speaker 1: it's level five. I feel like the ultimate form of
- 9:43Speaker 1: like dietary living is being raw vegan, and I haven't met. Yeah, yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 1: raw vegan. You don't raw vegetables, raw and vegetables. That's
- 9:53Speaker 1: nothing cooked everything living fruits and vegetables. That's it. And
- 9:58Speaker 1: that is the highest level. They lived before all of this,
- 10:06Speaker 1: before that, before they had materials to do that, they
- 10:09Speaker 1: were eating fruits and vegetables. It was probably eating anyway.
- 10:18Speaker 1: How long have you been beating almost ten years. I
- 10:23Speaker 1: haven't eaten chicken since two thousand seven, so I was
- 10:27Speaker 1: doing it before it was cool. My mom is a Rosterfarian,
- 10:30Speaker 1: so I grew up mostly vegetarian. Yeah, so like I've
- 10:33Speaker 1: been a part of his lifestyle since I was a kid.
- 10:36Speaker 1: We're just making so I ate rising peace every guy, Okay,
- 10:40Speaker 1: rice and peas and beans, and I tell food and
- 10:43Speaker 1: she's Rastafarian and so like we ate very very clean.
- 10:46Speaker 1: Like people laughing at me. I didn't grow up eating candy.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I ain't never had a cavity in my life. Yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 1: I didn't grow up eating candy, didn't grow up going
- 10:52Speaker 1: to McDonald's, didn't grow up eating burgers. So the fact
- 10:55Speaker 1: that I got a burger joint, like my family laughed, like,
- 10:57Speaker 1: how do you got a burger join? You didn't even Yeah,
- 11:01Speaker 1: it's it's vegan comfort food, right, which is cool because
- 11:03Speaker 1: it gives an opportunity to meet people where they are.
- 11:05Speaker 1: So we put a pen in it. Earlier when we
- 11:08Speaker 1: first started the show, you said that you have you
- 11:10Speaker 1: know about Sluddy Vegan. We know about our Vegan, we
- 11:12Speaker 1: know about eat Plants Bitch the book, we know about
- 11:14Speaker 1: the tour. We know about the session. What is this
- 11:17Speaker 1: new project? You kind of hinted at it earlier, so
- 11:20Speaker 1: it's very new. Okay, let's talk about it. And this
- 11:23Speaker 1: is my first interview as breaking with us. This is
- 11:26Speaker 1: like breaking, like breaking breaking. I'm not gonna say it.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I'm just geting hint. Okay. But it rounds with breakfast
- 11:33Speaker 1: to breakfast, breakfast, I said breakfast. Oh okay, got it,
- 11:43Speaker 1: got it, got it. We are ready for that. Okay.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Is this a food truck situation? Is this a location
- 11:48Speaker 1: given Vegan waffle house energy. I'm down with that. I'm
- 11:55Speaker 1: down with extra. It's a cool kind said when you started,
- 12:01Speaker 1: you have to come back. Will come back because you
- 12:05Speaker 1: know they are confirming on camera now, and I might
- 12:09Speaker 1: just bring the breakfast excited. You know what the most
- 12:15Speaker 1: exciting piece of it is is like now you know
- 12:18Speaker 1: how you got an idea and then you need all
- 12:20Speaker 1: of these things to execute the idea, like I can
- 12:22Speaker 1: execute I think of something today and tomorrow. It really
- 12:26Speaker 1: is manifesting itself. Like literally every single day I come
- 12:29Speaker 1: up with an idea, I make a phone call, this
- 12:31Speaker 1: what I want to do, put it together, and it's together.
- 12:33Speaker 1: That's the best. That's success. To me, that's the best
- 12:35Speaker 1: feeling in the world about that must be up. And
- 12:46Speaker 1: you know why because I work my ass off this
- 12:48Speaker 1: here right saw it when I had fucking sauce on
- 12:53Speaker 1: my ship busted and dusted. Now I can afford to
- 12:59Speaker 1: do all the things that I want to do because
- 13:00Speaker 1: I put in the work right, and I wasn't lazy
- 13:02Speaker 1: and putting in the work and I never I'm still
- 13:04Speaker 1: not comfortable. That's why I went. Y'all said I was
- 13:06Speaker 1: a celebrity. I'm like, no, I'm not nowhere near where
- 13:08Speaker 1: I want to be. I feel like I'm not doing enough.
- 13:11Speaker 1: You understand what I'm saying. Yeah, like I'm still I'm like,
- 13:13Speaker 1: I still got work to do. But you got here.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Before you got here. We were talking about all of
- 13:18Speaker 1: these accomplishments, right, like I mean, awards, just all types
- 13:22Speaker 1: of recognition. We were like, her team has to be
- 13:25Speaker 1: absolutely immaculate, like we see the social media post they
- 13:29Speaker 1: want for example that that literally is stuck in my brain.
- 13:32Speaker 1: When Rihanna put out her Super Bowl announcement with her
- 13:34Speaker 1: hand holding football, it was like two minutes later the
- 13:37Speaker 1: Slutty Vegan page had Rihanna's hand holding a Burger and
- 13:41Speaker 1: I was like, yo, her team is too quick. How
- 13:45Speaker 1: big is your team? So so far? Now on a
- 13:48Speaker 1: slutty began side, I got three fifty employees and Barbiegan
- 13:53Speaker 1: I got sixty five employees. Shout out my board, Jason Craig,
- 13:56Speaker 1: who you just made the president? I just promoted Jason
- 13:59Speaker 1: to press to that. And it's funny because Jason and
- 14:01Speaker 1: I have been friends for a long time. So when
- 14:03Speaker 1: I first went vegan, and he was around me and
- 14:05Speaker 1: he was like, that's stupid. Why are you going vegan?
- 14:08Speaker 1: So mad? And look full circle moment now he's but yeah, man,
- 14:16Speaker 1: you know it has just been who's the question? Okay.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So so my team, my core team has been with
- 14:26Speaker 1: me for since the very beginning, so they know me.
- 14:29Speaker 1: They think like pinky, move like pinky talk like I
- 14:31Speaker 1: don't have to tell them what to do because they
- 14:33Speaker 1: get it right. So like we'll get in a session
- 14:35Speaker 1: and just build like we're just vibing, talking ship, acting
- 14:38Speaker 1: crazy and coming up with ideas and it's always raw
- 14:42Speaker 1: and original and authentic. And I always said, if it
- 14:44Speaker 1: don't feel authentic, don't do it. It can't feel like
- 14:47Speaker 1: it gotta feel like real tangible, like you're talking to
- 14:51Speaker 1: your friend when you're talking to the business. I like
- 14:53Speaker 1: to say the slutty Vegan is the girl that went
- 14:55Speaker 1: to school in to auc they got a j D.
- 14:57Speaker 1: But still like the club on the weekend, she smoke
- 14:59Speaker 1: we a little bit. Nobody knows, you know what I'm saying,
- 15:01Speaker 1: But like she goes to branch On on Sundays, like
- 15:04Speaker 1: that is what slutty Vegan is. But go to church
- 15:06Speaker 1: sometimes it depends on who want to go right, Like
- 15:08Speaker 1: that is who she gets. And in order to build
- 15:10Speaker 1: that persona, you gotta have people that are dedicated to
- 15:13Speaker 1: the brand. I don't look at the people on my
- 15:15Speaker 1: team as employees. I look at them as people who
- 15:17Speaker 1: are helping me build this empire. And that's how you
- 15:20Speaker 1: get people to really want to go hard for you
- 15:22Speaker 1: and they believe in me. That's what I was gonna
- 15:23Speaker 1: say to I feel like whenever you step into a
- 15:26Speaker 1: Slutty Vegan location, even even bar Vina, but for me,
- 15:28Speaker 1: Slutty Vigan I probably frequent the most, especially as the
- 15:31Speaker 1: location that's my vibe. For these people to maintain such
- 15:35Speaker 1: a high level of energy, I feel like it's because
- 15:37Speaker 1: they do believe in you. I feel like they want
- 15:39Speaker 1: to support you. Yes, it's a job, Yes I'm clocking in,
- 15:41Speaker 1: Yes I need to check. I'm here to work for money.
- 15:44Speaker 1: But their energy is like on ten every time. And
- 15:49Speaker 1: I really think it's because they believe in you. People
- 15:51Speaker 1: are happy to be there. Yeah, and it's and it's
- 15:53Speaker 1: my energy to now we have had a couple of
- 15:54Speaker 1: bad amples, okay, but what I also realized is they
- 16:00Speaker 1: atch my energy because when when I communicate in exchange
- 16:03Speaker 1: with them, they understand. I'm like, if you're not happy,
- 16:05Speaker 1: go home. I don't want you on the floor. Like,
- 16:07Speaker 1: if you're not gonna give me big energy, you can't
- 16:08Speaker 1: be here. You're saying, pull up to your locations. Do
- 16:11Speaker 1: you randomly do that? How do you? So? We have
- 16:13Speaker 1: something called club culture, right, and that's our monthly staff meetings.
- 16:16Speaker 1: And then the monthly staff meets you can bring a
- 16:18Speaker 1: friend and what that is is a party, like we
- 16:21Speaker 1: have a whole party where like we han' torque contests,
- 16:24Speaker 1: like it's just slutty began vibe. But then the staff
- 16:26Speaker 1: meeting and we highlight people, we show them love. I
- 16:30Speaker 1: do surprise promotion, so like you don't get a letter
- 16:32Speaker 1: and say hey, you got promoted, Like we room full
- 16:35Speaker 1: of people like, hey, I need someone so to come up.
- 16:37Speaker 1: You just got promoted. Like That's the kind of energy
- 16:39Speaker 1: and the vibe that most companies don't have. So it
- 16:42Speaker 1: keeps them on the on the edge of the seat,
- 16:44Speaker 1: like my moment that is coming. And because people feel
- 16:47Speaker 1: like their moment is coming, they're always gonna work hard always.
- 16:49Speaker 1: And not only that, you blessed them with equity. Some
- 16:52Speaker 1: of their employees like that, so they feel like they're
- 16:54Speaker 1: actually a part of the business that you're growing. And
- 16:57Speaker 1: um the equity And on Slutty Vegan page, if you
- 17:01Speaker 1: know how the same dance rap act your artist, you
- 17:03Speaker 1: get highlighted on the page. We got almost a million followers, right,
- 17:08Speaker 1: so imagine to get highlighted if you got real, true talent.
- 17:11Speaker 1: That's a level of exposure for you to be able
- 17:13Speaker 1: to follow your dreams and still be a Slutty Vegan.
- 17:16Speaker 1: So this is also a vessel to get to where
- 17:17Speaker 1: you want to be. And when I first started this company,
- 17:21Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm not making Slutty Vegan for money. I've
- 17:24Speaker 1: always made money. I've always been a hustler, right, Like
- 17:26Speaker 1: I always I'm a magnetode. I'm gonna get it by
- 17:28Speaker 1: any means necessary. I do not sit down and like
- 17:31Speaker 1: wait for money to like just you gotta go no, no, no, no,
- 17:34Speaker 1: I get it. I go out and get it. But
- 17:36Speaker 1: what I realized and this company is I was very
- 17:38Speaker 1: intentional about it and passionate about building something that people
- 17:41Speaker 1: will be like, damn, like this lady from East Baltimore.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Build something so special that the world is talking about.
- 17:47Speaker 1: And as a result of that, now the money is coming. Yeah,
- 17:51Speaker 1: and it's looking like a huney million dollars. So you're
- 18:00Speaker 1: actually have a hundred million dollars. But let me tell you,
- 18:04Speaker 1: let me tell you that's the question. Let me tell
- 18:07Speaker 1: you a hundred million having a company value that a
- 18:10Speaker 1: hundred million dollars means today or tomorrow. If I decided
- 18:14Speaker 1: to say, you know, I don't feel like doing this
- 18:15Speaker 1: no more, I can find a private equity firm and
- 18:18Speaker 1: negotiate with them against that amount. Because we've already done
- 18:21Speaker 1: the man, We've already known the paperwork. Legally, my company
- 18:24Speaker 1: is valued at a hundred million dollars. Right, So if
- 18:26Speaker 1: I go to a private equity company and said, listen,
- 18:28Speaker 1: I want to sell my company for a hundred hundred
- 18:31Speaker 1: fifty million dollars. They can either say no or they
- 18:34Speaker 1: can say, well, yeah, we believe so based on where
- 18:36Speaker 1: we are yesterday, where we are today, and when we
- 18:38Speaker 1: would be tomorrow. But my company is gonna be valued
- 18:41Speaker 1: that a billion dollars A mind a million at enough
- 18:43Speaker 1: you understand what I'm saying. And it's not just about
- 18:45Speaker 1: the money. It's the fact that I'm really going to
- 18:48Speaker 1: exceed the metric that you haven't really seen a lot
- 18:50Speaker 1: of black people do a lot of black women anyway
- 18:52Speaker 1: do so today it's at a hundred million. Asked me
- 18:55Speaker 1: again in like two years, So a question, how do
- 18:59Speaker 1: you pay your locations? Like, I know you got Brooklyn
- 19:01Speaker 1: and Harlem and you know who said this guy said
- 19:06Speaker 1: that there's no black people in Birmingham. That's okay, girl,
- 19:10Speaker 1: he said, people are everywhere in Burmham station. I passed
- 19:15Speaker 1: through the gas station. She was not at the right place.
- 19:17Speaker 1: There's a lot of black um, So that's a good question.
- 19:21Speaker 1: So it's not just black people that East Slutty vegan to.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Just so you know, I know, it's a lot of
- 19:25Speaker 1: white people. East Slutty Vegan. I've been there before so
- 19:36Speaker 1: Slutty Vegan. So I'm very intentional about the locations right.
- 19:39Speaker 1: So like the Burmenham location, I boot that building for
- 19:43Speaker 1: seventy two buildings for seventy six thousand dollars cash, and
- 19:48Speaker 1: it was an area that nobody really goes to, like
- 19:50Speaker 1: real quiet, but I knew that if I brought slutty
- 19:52Speaker 1: Vegan over there, I could raise the value of the
- 19:54Speaker 1: community and I can help the business owners that are
- 19:56Speaker 1: there make money because if I got a line, then
- 19:59Speaker 1: they've benefit off the And I realized when we do
- 20:02Speaker 1: more locations like that, that's what we are able to
- 20:04Speaker 1: capitalize and golf a bid something ever happened to Sludy
- 20:06Speaker 1: Vegan on the dirt, I want to build it. So
- 20:10Speaker 1: I'm intentional about where it is that I put slightly
- 20:12Speaker 1: vegan and in real time, y'all, it sounds crazy, but
- 20:15Speaker 1: I go to the location that we're scouting and I
- 20:18Speaker 1: stand in and I gotta feel it, and it gotta
- 20:19Speaker 1: feel right in my spirit because I'm an impath and
- 20:22Speaker 1: if it don't feel right, then I can't do it.
- 20:24Speaker 1: And when I say feel right, I'm like, I can't
- 20:26Speaker 1: feel anxious. There can't be no anxiety. Around me, like
- 20:29Speaker 1: it gotta feel clear and it gotta feel pure, and
- 20:32Speaker 1: that's kind of how I choose. Are you getting any
- 20:35Speaker 1: pushback in some of these locations, Like are some of
- 20:37Speaker 1: the local business owners like, hold on, this line is
- 20:39Speaker 1: out of control? Yeah? My first location and already was
- 20:45Speaker 1: like that, um, but it has since evolved, like people
- 20:48Speaker 1: want to be around sluty Vegan because they know that
- 20:50Speaker 1: they can also capitalize off the business. Okay, okay, time out,
- 20:53Speaker 1: time out, time out it you're in love? Yeah, yeah,
- 20:58Speaker 1: I'm trying to make a smile real quickly. You are
- 21:02Speaker 1: in love with this man? Yeah, a fellow. You can't tell?
- 21:10Speaker 1: We got two kids? That's love. How did this? How
- 21:14Speaker 1: did this start? What happened? Because this guy does not
- 21:17Speaker 1: do anything well? And from what I have seen, that
- 21:21Speaker 1: was Vegan? No correct, No, well actually how let you
- 21:25Speaker 1: through the d M? So he did the menu and
- 21:26Speaker 1: bar vegan. So so I actually slaid at his DMS.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Wait wait wait wait wait, I slaid at his d
- 21:35Speaker 1: m s as a support system. Got it? Okay, So
- 21:39Speaker 1: y'all remember when the George Floyd riots? What happened? So
- 21:42Speaker 1: I sent him let me rewind? So my friends was like,
- 21:45Speaker 1: it's this boy and Atlanta. He from Philly and he
- 21:49Speaker 1: got the same kind of lines you've got, and everybody
- 21:51Speaker 1: talking about him, like, how do you talking about Slidy Vegan?
- 21:52Speaker 1: You need to find out who he is. And I'm like,
- 21:54Speaker 1: I'm not. I don't care about me something beat like us.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I feel like I would never date a guy that
- 22:02Speaker 1: that made me. That's just not who I yeah, like right.
- 22:06Speaker 1: So so when the George Rights happened, somebody broke the
- 22:10Speaker 1: glass in his window. So I sent him a message
- 22:13Speaker 1: and I said, hey, I'm sorry about what happened. Is
- 22:15Speaker 1: there anything that I could do, you know, business to business.
- 22:17Speaker 1: I want to make sure that you're cool. And he
- 22:19Speaker 1: was like, he was like, you know, I'm good, thank you.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I've already gotten a lot of help, so I'm good. Um,
- 22:23Speaker 1: but you know, I love what you're doing in the community.
- 22:25Speaker 1: So we had that little moment and he was like,
- 22:27Speaker 1: you know, let's Bill, let's go to lunch or something.
- 22:29Speaker 1: So I'm like, okay, cool. So we went to lunch
- 22:31Speaker 1: and some flower camfacta vegan and then he had vegan.
- 22:39Speaker 1: That was his first time eating vegan, and he did
- 22:42Speaker 1: not like it, but he tried to like it because
- 22:44Speaker 1: I was there, so it was him and his cousin
- 22:46Speaker 1: gon ar Rest his soul Um. And when we went inside,
- 22:50Speaker 1: we were talking and we just connected. But it wasn't
- 22:54Speaker 1: like on like I love you. It was just like,
- 22:56Speaker 1: this is somebody that I know it's going to be
- 22:58Speaker 1: in my life, professional like. It was just somebody like
- 23:01Speaker 1: a good local business owner, right, and then we just
- 23:04Speaker 1: really started having a genuine friendship and then it evolved
- 23:07Speaker 1: into something else. And then I look up and I
- 23:10Speaker 1: got pregnant three what I don't know that I not bad.
- 23:15Speaker 1: They can figure it out, but yeah, we are pregnant
- 23:17Speaker 1: three months after we mat I'm like, oh, this is
- 23:20Speaker 1: a thing. And it's interesting because I didn't even think
- 23:23Speaker 1: that I could have kids. And I got pregnant the
- 23:26Speaker 1: first time, and then six weeks after I had that baby,
- 23:28Speaker 1: I got pregnant again. So now we got a five
- 23:32Speaker 1: month old and a seventeen month old. Will you have
- 23:35Speaker 1: any more? Or is that I'm not having any more kids?
- 23:43Speaker 1: And I'm happy with He already has two, so I
- 23:45Speaker 1: got four total, my bonus babies. Um, but you know
- 23:48Speaker 1: what I'm happy about. I've been pregnant for the last
- 23:51Speaker 1: two years and I've done a lot, right, I've opened
- 23:54Speaker 1: up a lot of businesses. I've bought a lot of
- 23:56Speaker 1: real estate. I've done a whole lot while being pregnant.
- 23:59Speaker 1: And I salute need mother who one is a single
- 24:02Speaker 1: mother in a relationship and pregnant and getting up and
- 24:05Speaker 1: going to get it every single day. It is not easy.
- 24:07Speaker 1: And the fact that I was able to do it
- 24:09Speaker 1: with a support system is like such a blessing. But
- 24:11Speaker 1: I'm not doing it again. You're such a cheerful giver,
- 24:14Speaker 1: and it just seems like you know everything in your
- 24:17Speaker 1: life aligns with you giving, even with your fiance. You know,
- 24:20Speaker 1: you call to give something. With your businesses, you call
- 24:24Speaker 1: to give something. And I feel like that's why you
- 24:28Speaker 1: you will hit that billion dollar marks, because it's gonna
- 24:30Speaker 1: be there from my mom. Um. Yeah, I love my mom.
- 24:36Speaker 1: She's actually here helping us raise the kids. But my
- 24:39Speaker 1: mother when I was a kid. You understand, right, because
- 24:43Speaker 1: your family is all right, So yeah, so my mom
- 24:47Speaker 1: will help everybody. Like if you got to ask and
- 24:50Speaker 1: she helping you, you need someone to sleep, she can
- 24:52Speaker 1: help me. I'm like, hello, you don't even know, that
- 24:54Speaker 1: doesn't matter. It's just it's just so when I was
- 24:59Speaker 1: a kid, I didn't understand it. So Christmas came around
- 25:01Speaker 1: for us and we would be getting hand me down
- 25:03Speaker 1: to like Walmart stuff, and like why she was helping
- 25:05Speaker 1: everybody else And I'm like, well, what about us? But
- 25:08Speaker 1: what I realized is my mother was so selfless and
- 25:10Speaker 1: I was learning along the way and I didn't even
- 25:12Speaker 1: know it until I became an adult. So me helping people,
- 25:15Speaker 1: that's bigger than money for me, right, I do, well,
- 25:18Speaker 1: I make money, right, but the fact that I can
- 25:20Speaker 1: help somebody situation and make them better people that are grateful,
- 25:23Speaker 1: not lazy people, right, Like I'm not just helping people
- 25:25Speaker 1: they just don't want to get off the butt, right,
- 25:29Speaker 1: I'm talking about people that deserve a chance, they just
- 25:31Speaker 1: never got that chance. Like that feels good to me
- 25:33Speaker 1: to be a resource to somebody who really really needs it,
- 25:36Speaker 1: and it brings me a different level of joy. I'm
- 25:38Speaker 1: saying money can't buy that, And that's what I mean.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Our house off, the house that I grew up and
- 25:45Speaker 1: I paid it off, and at that moment, like did
- 25:49Speaker 1: she see it coming? She didn't. It's funny because I
- 25:51Speaker 1: called him like hi, and it was like yes, yeah,
- 25:53Speaker 1: the morget I act like my mother at her and
- 25:56Speaker 1: he was like, yeah, it's gonna whatever, and I'm like,
- 25:58Speaker 1: I'm no, I just want to pay the bill. They
- 26:02Speaker 1: like the whole bill. I wanna pay the whole thing off,
- 26:04Speaker 1: a whole house off. That's that's some Boston. She was like,
- 26:12Speaker 1: I'm sech a fan. I'm like, girl, pay this bill paying.
- 26:17Speaker 1: But you know, she was excited. My mother came here
- 26:20Speaker 1: as an immigrant. She got her citizenship when I was
- 26:23Speaker 1: thirteen years old, so like she's never even imagined to
- 26:26Speaker 1: see something like this to somebody that came out of
- 26:28Speaker 1: her womb. A man's this level of success. Sometimes they're
- 26:31Speaker 1: just like, listen, get a good job two weeks. I
- 26:34Speaker 1: didn't way more than that, you know what I'm saying.
- 26:36Speaker 1: I had student loans two hundreds something else and student loans,
- 26:39Speaker 1: picked up the phone and called and paid it on
- 26:41Speaker 1: one check, and she was the co signer on them.
- 26:43Speaker 1: So like all the things that I've been able to
- 26:44Speaker 1: do is really because I wanted to show my mom that,
- 26:47Speaker 1: like I don't you don't have to work, you ain't
- 26:49Speaker 1: gotta do nothing else. You could just sit and look
- 26:51Speaker 1: pretty and help me take baby. That's it. But I'm
- 26:53Speaker 1: gonna make sure that you're good. So she's like speaking
- 26:56Speaker 1: of your mom. She was a musician once upon a time,
- 26:58Speaker 1: still live, Oh she still does. Okay, that's what's up.
- 27:01Speaker 1: And she's a singer okay, and you got the bars though,
- 27:04Speaker 1: you know, right, Funny. I grew up in a musical household,
- 27:08Speaker 1: so my two brothers were producers, music producers. So like
- 27:11Speaker 1: I got an air, you know how some people just
- 27:13Speaker 1: got I know, a good hit. I can listen to
- 27:15Speaker 1: a whole album of songs and tell you what the
- 27:18Speaker 1: single was gonna be. And I'm always right. I've always
- 27:20Speaker 1: had that ear, but I just never pursued it totally.
- 27:23Speaker 1: I could sing a little bit, like I could do
- 27:24Speaker 1: a little bit of everything, and um, it's funny. When
- 27:27Speaker 1: I got the opportunity to do BT site, guess right.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I think he blew everybody on the water with that,
- 27:33Speaker 1: like nobody saw what's up and it was thank you.
- 27:39Speaker 1: It was so fun to do that. And then I
- 27:40Speaker 1: got like over a million impressions. You were saying like
- 27:47Speaker 1: it was the total package. Yeah, man. And then then
- 27:50Speaker 1: I got the opportunity of going with Swaye and do
- 27:52Speaker 1: the same thing. Oh my gosh, that was so you
- 27:54Speaker 1: know how many rappers in the world dream of going
- 27:57Speaker 1: on swear was like that my wildest dreaming. This wasn't
- 28:01Speaker 1: even your dreaming together. Now yeah, right now, mark my words,
- 28:07Speaker 1: I said it today, I'm going to get signed to
- 28:09Speaker 1: a label and I'm not a rapper, I'm a poet
- 28:12Speaker 1: or you can starts already have mine. So it's gonna
- 28:19Speaker 1: be a joint partnership with whoever, because collaboration is the key.
- 28:22Speaker 1: My my motto for two was collaboration is king um
- 28:27Speaker 1: and I did a lot of really good collaborations this
- 28:29Speaker 1: year in partnerships, so I'm crossing that over thee. But
- 28:33Speaker 1: like something big gonna have that it just needed. This
- 28:35Speaker 1: might just do a motivational EPI going to work from
- 28:43Speaker 1: the time you again, from two thousand seventeen to today,
- 28:46Speaker 1: right now, are you sitting in this chair just to
- 28:48Speaker 1: see because we had we had a front row seat.
- 28:51Speaker 1: We had a front row seat of seeing you accomplish
- 28:53Speaker 1: all these spectacular things. And probably I appreciate that her
- 28:57Speaker 1: right there. I wanted to know nothing about you, for
- 29:00Speaker 1: was one of the first people that I stared absolutely yeah,
- 29:04Speaker 1: the first I was like slutty Vegan. We gotta y'all
- 29:08Speaker 1: gotta try to whatever. You kept saying whatever like a
- 29:12Speaker 1: bigger I was like, I promise you is wire, Like
- 29:15Speaker 1: I'm telling y'all we gotta get on the show. Like
- 29:18Speaker 1: and I'm just so proud, man, I'm telling you, like,
- 29:21Speaker 1: I'm so proud. Similar energy. Yeah, you've been consistent the
- 29:28Speaker 1: very first time that I mettioned. You know, I'm very energy,
- 29:36Speaker 1: and you are just so pure like, um no, I
- 29:43Speaker 1: really resonate with you, like when you say you have
- 29:44Speaker 1: to go to the location and feel it, Like I
- 29:46Speaker 1: am one hundred percent that person. So I'm just it's
- 29:50Speaker 1: exciting to see you collaborate the hell out of some collaboration. Yes, Scott, okay,
- 29:57Speaker 1: it's hard to motivate me. You motivated that funk out
- 29:59Speaker 1: of me today. Try to see how you do it.
- 30:01Speaker 1: I ain't even got no kids, and I'm like, lord,
- 30:03Speaker 1: I'm tired. Here you go. You know why, because giving
- 30:06Speaker 1: up throwing in the tower is not an option. Right
- 30:09Speaker 1: when I think about my success, there's a lot of
- 30:12Speaker 1: people that's rooting for me. But I'm sure there's some
- 30:13Speaker 1: people in the wings it is waiting for me to fail,
- 30:15Speaker 1: so they But I didn't think about them, and that
- 30:20Speaker 1: win is making sure that I'm building financial freedom and
- 30:23Speaker 1: wealth for my children. Let me interrupt you politely because
- 30:28Speaker 1: I want to ask you a question. I know we're
- 30:29Speaker 1: running close on time. We talked about all the success, right,
- 30:34Speaker 1: but I know it had to be some discouragement sometimes
- 30:37Speaker 1: in there, and we talk about that because you know,
- 30:40Speaker 1: we were big on mental health. We're big on overcoming
- 30:43Speaker 1: objections and transgressions. Do you care to talk about Absolutely? So,
- 30:50Speaker 1: I've been faced with a lot of demons, people in
- 30:55Speaker 1: the flesh who have tried to destroy my brand because
- 30:58Speaker 1: they couldn't set sit next to me. That comes in
- 31:01Speaker 1: the form of trying to sue me, trying to extort me.
- 31:05Speaker 1: I got there's so much stuff that that has happened
- 31:08Speaker 1: and happening in the real time where people are trying
- 31:12Speaker 1: to literally eject my joy for their benefit, right. And
- 31:18Speaker 1: I had to really get to a mental place of
- 31:20Speaker 1: peace because I understand why people who are in alarme
- 31:24Speaker 1: like just fall off from the world, because you can
- 31:27Speaker 1: have your very best friend next to you and become
- 31:30Speaker 1: your enemy just that quick. So I'm making sure that
- 31:35Speaker 1: I'm protected, and what protection looks looks like for me
- 31:38Speaker 1: is making sure I got India's, making sure I got
- 31:41Speaker 1: confidentiality agreements, making sure that I'm really lawyer it up
- 31:44Speaker 1: because something hit the fan. I got people that are
- 31:47Speaker 1: going to protect me and protect the business. It's unfair
- 31:49Speaker 1: sometimes because I'm such a good person, Like, ain't nobody
- 31:53Speaker 1: gotta tell me that, Like, like I do right by people,
- 31:56Speaker 1: I don't wrong nobody. I'm fair, I'm honest. So I
- 31:58Speaker 1: laid my head down on that white every single night
- 32:01Speaker 1: and I sleep clean because I do the right thing.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Everybody is not that way. Um, And people will take
- 32:08Speaker 1: advantage of your goodness. And I've been taking advantage of
- 32:10Speaker 1: plenty of times, but God, I always got me. Um.
- 32:13Speaker 1: And as an entrepreneur that's building a multimillion dollar company
- 32:15Speaker 1: for the first time, because this is my first time
- 32:18Speaker 1: I've been doing this, I'm still trying to figure life out.
- 32:20Speaker 1: So I'm being faced with people wanting to claim parts
- 32:24Speaker 1: of my business. People who are wanting to take ownership
- 32:27Speaker 1: just because they were employed by me and felt like
- 32:29Speaker 1: they went above and beyond and that like they have
- 32:32Speaker 1: earned something that I didn't give them. Right, I have
- 32:34Speaker 1: people say that like part of that business is mine.
- 32:37Speaker 1: I was in the room when you created it. Like
- 32:38Speaker 1: I've had people say I got this. If you don't
- 32:41Speaker 1: give me this, I'm gonna put this on the internet.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Like that is happening in real time, and it's very
- 32:46Speaker 1: unfair because I'm a very open book and I'm such
- 32:49Speaker 1: a good person. But it happens to the best of us,
- 32:51Speaker 1: and it's just a battery on my back. I feel
- 32:53Speaker 1: like Popeye, like every every time something happens, and it
- 32:57Speaker 1: doesn't happen often, but it's like a ricochet when it
- 32:59Speaker 1: does has happened. So I keep my circle very tight.
- 33:03Speaker 1: I'm with my best friends, I'm with my boyfriend, my husband,
- 33:08Speaker 1: talk about baby Daddy, my husband. But I want to
- 33:11Speaker 1: specifically talk to the entrepreneurs in the room and people
- 33:15Speaker 1: who are listening to this. Success is a very beautiful,
- 33:18Speaker 1: scary roller coaster ride, and you have to be mentally
- 33:22Speaker 1: prepared to take all that comes with it, the good

- 33:36Speaker 1: you do in the business that you dream about and
- 33:38Speaker 1: think about. As long as you're consistent with that thing,

- 34:03Speaker 1: I came up with the idea of the sas on vacation,
- 34:07Speaker 1: clearly because you were posted about it just a few days.
- 34:09Speaker 1: And what I say that this is I really love
- 34:16Speaker 1: slutty Veacan. Like this is not a job for me,
- 34:18Speaker 1: So like business is what I do in my past time.
- 34:22Speaker 1: That's my favorite pastime. Like I love to research, I
- 34:24Speaker 1: love to create. I'm a creator, Like I'm a thinker.
- 34:28Speaker 1: Like if we sit here like for hour, we don't
- 34:30Speaker 1: came up with like thirty ideas, Like that's who I am.
- 34:33Speaker 1: So a vacation for me is when I could do
- 34:35Speaker 1: what I just did, step away and like come up
- 34:38Speaker 1: with a really good multimillion dollar business, which I know

- 34:43Speaker 1: kind of like where I get my juice from. Oh no,

- 36:03Speaker 1: Cold Foundation, and a whole bunch of other stuff. Here
- 36:06Speaker 1: is my nugget for today. You gotta get about that seat.
- 36:11Speaker 1: When I say you gotta get upbout that seat, you
- 36:13Speaker 1: gotta move like there's fire underneath of you. I started
- 36:17Speaker 1: this concept in eighteen as an idea to help me
- 36:22Speaker 1: fulfill something for myself. What I didn't realize is I
- 36:25Speaker 1: was building a multimillion dollar company that was helping people
- 36:28Speaker 1: to reimagine food. But in order to get to where
- 36:31Speaker 1: I wanted to be, I had to get up out
- 36:33Speaker 1: my seat. I had to not get comfortable at what
- 36:36Speaker 1: was happening around me just because I had a popular business.
- 36:39Speaker 1: I had to keep going, even in the moments when
- 36:41Speaker 1: I didn't feel like it, or even in the moments
- 36:43Speaker 1: when people say just take a break, to stop going.
- 36:45Speaker 1: I had to make sacrifices and eliminate the wrong people
- 36:48Speaker 1: out of my life. That's relationships, that's friendships, that's professional relationships.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I had to get clear and get focused and get
- 36:55Speaker 1: up out that seat. Oftentimes a lot of us get comfortable.
- 36:58Speaker 1: I want to sit down and relax and say I'll
- 37:00Speaker 1: do it tomorrow, I'll do it the next day. I
- 37:02Speaker 1: feel like a goddamn Everest commercial. You need to get
- 37:04Speaker 1: up and do it right now. That seat is not
- 37:07Speaker 1: for you to sit in. You sit in that seat
- 37:09Speaker 1: when your story is written, when your story is told,
- 37:11Speaker 1: when you've helped communities, when you have money in your
- 37:13Speaker 1: bank account, that's when you take the seat. But right
- 37:16Speaker 1: now there's fire under the seat. You gotta like that
- 37:18Speaker 1: match so that you can get up and keep going,
- 37:21Speaker 1: even in the moments when you don't want to. I've
- 37:23Speaker 1: gotten out of my seat and now I have a
- 37:25Speaker 1: hundred million dollar company and you can do I can't
