- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, welcome back to SEC Football Addiction.

- 0:10Speaker 1: Cole Thompson, kind of a breakout video.
- 0:12Speaker 2: We will be live on Tuesday afternoon at 1.30, but
- 0:16Speaker 2: a lot of good games this week, and so we
- 0:18Speaker 2: couldn't get to all of them. Let's take a few
- 0:19Speaker 2: minutes to talk about Texas A & M and Missouri, Cole.
- 0:23Speaker 2: The SEC trend this year would tell you that Missouri's
- 0:28Speaker 2: a better team then Texas A & M. But the
- 0:31Speaker 2: way that these games go would tell you that Missouri
- 0:33Speaker 2: should be scared crapless. LSU beats the crap out of Clemson,
- 0:36Speaker 2: goes on the road and loses to Ole Miss. Ole
- 0:40Speaker 2: Miss beats LSU, goes on the road and gets the
- 0:43Speaker 2: crappy out of them by Florida. Florida then does that
- 0:45Speaker 2: to Missouri. Do we complete the circle this week with
- 0:48Speaker 2: A & M and Missouri?
- 0:50Speaker 1: I don't know what it is. It's probably the parody.
- 0:52Speaker 2: And obviously those results of other games don't matter. I
- 0:55Speaker 2: do think they at least flash some kind of a
- 0:57Speaker 2: warning of, hey, you do have to take every game
- 1:00Speaker 2: seriously in this conference and you don't just get by
- 1:02Speaker 2: with a win.
- 1:03Speaker 1: But they won't impact this game.
- 1:05Speaker 2: But A & M Missouri, at least in Vegas, three
- 1:07Speaker 2: and a half point spread like this isn't supposed to
- 1:09Speaker 2: be a blowout despite what both teams have done of recent.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, you also got to remind yourself that
- 1:14Speaker 3: Missouri has been, I mean, Texas A & M has
- 1:17Speaker 3: been kryptonite.
- 1:18Speaker 4: For Missouri during the regular season. The last three.
- 1:20Speaker 3: Times they've gone up against each other, It's been a
- 1:23Speaker 3: one-sided affair. Texas A & M wins 38-17, they win 41-10,
- 1:27Speaker 3: and then 35-14. But there is one thing that you
- 1:30Speaker 3: didn't mention I think is really important here. Every one
- 1:34Speaker 3: of those games that we talked about, about the team
- 1:36Speaker 3: being on upset alert, how to go play on the
- 1:38Speaker 3: road the next time.
- 1:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:40Speaker 4: This game is not on the road. This is at
- 1:41Speaker 4: Faroat Field. This is at Memorial Stadium.
- 1:43Speaker 3: This is in Como, which is a big win, I think,
- 1:47Speaker 3: in favor of Mizzou that they don't have to go
- 1:49Speaker 3: into a house of horrors like every other opponent.
- 1:52Speaker 4: But still, Texas A & M is coming off a win.
- 1:54Speaker 3: This was an emphatic victory, I think, for Mizzou because
- 1:58Speaker 3: of a lot of people, not just myself, but many
- 2:00Speaker 3: out there in the college football public, did not think
- 2:02Speaker 3: that Missouri was a top 25 team. Well, now we're
- 2:05Speaker 3: saying that they're a top 15 team. And honestly, the
- 2:07Speaker 3: best is still ahead for them. The thing with Mizzou
- 2:09Speaker 3: that you look at going into this year is that
- 2:11Speaker 3: in years past, we have kind of slighted Missouri because
- 2:14Speaker 3: of the way that their schedule panned on out.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Who have you really been battle tested against?
- 2:17Speaker 3: Who have you really gone up against that deserves you
- 2:19Speaker 3: to be a 10-2 team flirting with the college football playoff? Guys,
- 2:22Speaker 3: they still have matchups against Texas, against Ole Miss, against Georgia.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Texas A & M has been a thorn in their side.
- 2:29Speaker 3: They get a massive victory over a Florida roster, and
- 2:32Speaker 3: I still think it's going to be pretty damn good.
- 2:34Speaker 4: And Oklahoma's Oklahoma, and you don't know what to expect
- 2:37Speaker 4: in that game.
- 2:37Speaker 3: So if Mizzou ends up going 10-2, there's no denying
- 2:42Speaker 3: that they will be battle-tested and proven of worthy of
- 2:45Speaker 3: being in the college football playoff race. Now for A
- 2:47Speaker 3: & M, it's an opportunity for you to kind of
- 2:49Speaker 3: save your season. A lot of people are saying that
- 2:51Speaker 3: the 8-4 jokes are back. This is an offense that
- 2:53Speaker 3: has no life whatsoever. The defense is allowing far too
- 2:56Speaker 3: many explosives downfield. And that may be the case, but
- 3:00Speaker 3: you are coming off a win wearing God awful uniforms
- 3:02Speaker 3: that nobody should ever see again. The light of day
- 3:05Speaker 3: needs to be burned on those things, but there's an
- 3:07Speaker 3: opportunity for you now to be able to kind of
- 3:09Speaker 3: get back on the right horse, win this game, win
- 3:12Speaker 3: against the Citadel and, And now we're talking about a
- 3:14Speaker 3: 5-2 roster when you take on Alabama to close out
- 3:17Speaker 3: the month of October. And who knows what Alabama is
- 3:19Speaker 3: going to be. They face off against Georgia this week.
- 3:21Speaker 3: What is the letdown spot for them? Next week when
- 3:24Speaker 3: they have to go travel to Neyland to take on Tennessee,
- 3:27Speaker 3: you may be getting a beaten and bruised team that
- 3:30Speaker 3: can kind of put you back in the pecking order.
- 3:32Speaker 3: So a lot of things for both sides on the
- 3:34Speaker 3: line in this matchup. I will say, if I were
- 3:36Speaker 3: to say one positive, I mean, if I were to
- 3:38Speaker 3: say one thing about Mizzou, Their quarterback play has been
- 3:41Speaker 3: phenomenal this season. A lot of the people are still
- 3:43Speaker 3: talking about Austin Simmons. Like I saw on three today
- 3:46Speaker 3: list their top 10 Heisman rankings. And Austin Simmons is
- 3:49Speaker 3: nowhere to be found, even though he does not have
- 3:51Speaker 3: a turnover, even though he has been elite making the.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Deep throws downfield.
- 3:56Speaker 3: And he was in his bag against a defense that
- 3:58Speaker 3: had no answers for Donovan O and Caden Lee, two
- 4:01Speaker 3: of the most underappreciated wide receivers in the country up
- 4:03Speaker 3: to this point.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I was just going to say that.
- 4:08Speaker 2: There was so much talk about quarterbacks coming into this year,
- 4:11Speaker 2: whether it be Keelan Russell, Trinidad, Gunner, Arch, which a
- 4:16Speaker 2: lot of those guys deserve the talk. I'm not saying
- 4:18Speaker 2: that they're not good. There was talk around what Philo
- 4:22Speaker 2: would be. There was talk around could sellers elevate a
- 4:25Speaker 2: roster at South Carolina. What would Marcel Reed do for
- 4:28Speaker 2: this specific matchup? Mateer hype existed. Thanks in part to
- 4:33Speaker 2: you and I, but I don't think enough people were talking.
- 4:36Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 4:37Speaker 2: I don't think not enough people were talking about Austin
- 4:39Speaker 2: Simmons and what he's done through.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Is it five?
- 4:42Speaker 2: Have they played all five games? Are they able to
- 4:43Speaker 2: buy what he's done through five games?
- 4:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:46Speaker 1: Cause they had Kansas out of conferences.
- 4:47Speaker 2: The fifth one, what he's done through five games, especially
- 4:50Speaker 2: against a Florida defense that look had problems, but still
- 4:53Speaker 2: limited Trinidad defense. in some ways, like I think is
- 4:57Speaker 2: incredibly impressive. What about the quarterback on the other side?
- 4:59Speaker 2: Marcel played a little bit better last week, 13 of 19,
- 5:02Speaker 2: one 70, it was Arkansas. So I think you take
- 5:05Speaker 2: that with a little bit of a grain of salt,
- 5:07Speaker 2: less pressure. They ran the ball fine in that game
- 5:10Speaker 2: and got an easy victory in a game that they
- 5:13Speaker 2: never had to sweat in. Um, how, Does he have
- 5:17Speaker 2: to be like, what does his level of play have
- 5:19Speaker 2: to be to go on the road and get a
- 5:20Speaker 2: win here? Just before we go on, I will give
- 5:23Speaker 2: some love to our new top 25 poll. A lot
- 5:26Speaker 2: of you are like me and you hate the AP poll.
- 5:28Speaker 2: So I created a better one that you can log
- 5:31Speaker 2: in right now and for free, go create your own
- 5:35Speaker 2: top 25 poll. I'm setting up reminders. I'm working on
- 5:39Speaker 2: aggregating national college football analysts that we all know and
- 5:42Speaker 2: love and respect, or maybe even hate just to Get
- 5:45Speaker 2: theirs in there as well. It's super slick. The user
- 5:48Speaker 2: interface is really, really easy to use. You log in
- 5:51Speaker 2: one time with your Google account and you are all set.
- 5:54Speaker 2: I'm not going to spam your email. I'm not trying
- 5:56Speaker 2: to sell you anything. There's no ads on here. If
- 5:59Speaker 2: somebody would like to put an ad on there, please
- 6:00Speaker 2: let me know. But it's just a place where we
- 6:02Speaker 2: can go collectively as fans vote on the poll. The
- 6:07Speaker 2: top 25 in college football. We're going to work on
- 6:09Speaker 2: a college football playoff one once we get closer to
- 6:11Speaker 2: November 25th. But go check this out. It's CFATop25. com. Link
- 6:16Speaker 2: is in the description. I'll pin the comment. Go check
- 6:19Speaker 2: it out right now.
- 6:20Speaker 4: I won't say it needs to be elite, but it
- 6:22Speaker 4: definitely needs to be better than what it was last week.
- 6:24Speaker 4: I mean, like, what's been so far? To be fair.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I think there's been a lot of negative around just
- 6:29Speaker 3: the A & M offense in general. And it starts
- 6:31Speaker 3: up with what you went into the offseason with. You
- 6:34Speaker 3: went and did an internal promotion with Holman Wiggins as
- 6:36Speaker 3: your new coordinator. Because if you were going to be
- 6:39Speaker 3: without Colin Klein as he took the Kansas State job.
- 6:42Speaker 3: But you also try to back portal in town on
- 6:44Speaker 3: the offensive line. And just because if you add in
- 6:46Speaker 3: five guys with experience in the SEC, it doesn't mean
- 6:49Speaker 3: that it's a winning formula. In fact, TJ, I think
- 6:51Speaker 3: I've told you multiple times and Tom when we talked
- 6:53Speaker 3: about it on the show.
- 6:55Speaker 4: You know, there's a reason why.
- 6:57Speaker 3: Player like an offensive lineman is let out of their
- 6:59Speaker 3: NIL contract in the SEC.
- 7:01Speaker 4: And it's never for the good of reason.
- 7:02Speaker 3: So just because of you landed someone with experience doesn't
- 7:05Speaker 3: mean it's going to be polished. The thing that I
- 7:07Speaker 3: think you can come away with in last week, Mario
- 7:09Speaker 3: Kramer was out for the entire second half of that
- 7:11Speaker 3: Arkansas game, and they were still able to find success
- 7:14Speaker 3: through the year. Now, is that more so because of
- 7:17Speaker 3: Arkansas's secondary is cardboard doo-doo, or is that because you
- 7:21Speaker 3: actually have weapons.
- 7:22Speaker 4: That are starting to break on out and put into
- 7:23Speaker 4: their roles?
- 7:24Speaker 3: Isaiah Horton still is a mismatched nightmare for any defensive
- 7:28Speaker 3: back in college football just because of his frame, physicality,
- 7:31Speaker 3: catch radius.
- 7:32Speaker 4: He can go ahead and step on up.
- 7:33Speaker 3: But for Reed, I think that there is still a
- 7:35Speaker 3: point of view that needs to see him be more consistent.
- 7:38Speaker 3: You need to see more timely throws.
- 7:41Speaker 4: Honestly, his best asset is being mobile.
- 7:43Speaker 3: It's the ability to make plays with his legs, understanding
- 7:46Speaker 3: his surroundings, realizing nothing is available, tuck and run, go
- 7:50Speaker 3: up for six or seven, Keep momentum on your side.
- 7:52Speaker 4: Winning the time possession, I think, is going to be
- 7:54Speaker 4: really important in this game.
- 7:55Speaker 3: I think for Marcel Reed, the big storyline is, can
- 7:58Speaker 3: you avoid the turnovers? Because of, let's just be honest,
- 8:02Speaker 3: as much as Missouri wants this win, Missouri has been somewhat,
- 8:07Speaker 3: Missouri has dealt.
- 8:08Speaker 4: With problems with Texas A & M in the past.
- 8:09Speaker 3: Mike Ucko has been able to figure out the ins
- 8:11Speaker 3: and outs of an offense underneath Eli Jurgens, which still
- 8:14Speaker 3: could be the case. But at the same time, you
- 8:16Speaker 3: don't want to give them short field positions with Austin
- 8:18Speaker 3: Simmons in this offense. because of your turnover-prone mentality. And
- 8:23Speaker 3: like it or not, Marcel Reed has been a turnover-prone
- 8:25Speaker 3: quarterback throughout his entire tenure at Texas A & M.
- 8:27Speaker 4: You saw it in the matchup against LSU. You saw
- 8:30Speaker 4: it against Kentucky.
- 8:31Speaker 3: You certainly saw it in the Arizona State game that
- 8:33Speaker 3: allowed the Sun Devils to come back in. And you're
- 8:35Speaker 3: playing on the road in an environment that is ruckus,
- 8:38Speaker 3: that has the momentum.
- 8:39Speaker 4: On their side.
- 8:40Speaker 3: If you play a clean football game, I think there
- 8:42Speaker 3: is still a shot for Texas A & M to win.
- 8:45Speaker 3: If you give short field positions and allow Jamal Roberts,
- 8:49Speaker 3: Brett Norfleet, Donovan O, Caden Lee to be able to
- 8:51Speaker 3: do whatever they want against the secondary, which, by the way,
- 8:54Speaker 3: has been a problem. not only because of the inconsistencies
- 8:58Speaker 3: downfield by guys like Ricky Gibson or Des Rickson coverage,
- 9:01Speaker 3: but more so because the pass rush has not been
- 9:03Speaker 3: able to get there in the forefront to make quarterbacks
- 9:06Speaker 3: feel pressure. But if you allow them to win on
- 9:08Speaker 3: open field and get into the short field position, this
- 9:10Speaker 3: could be a blowout by the middle of the second quarter.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I'm going to pause for just a sec.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Your mic kind of sounds like it's a little, like
- 9:17Speaker 2: I can hear you fine, but it sounds a little
- 9:19Speaker 2: underwater ish.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Um, how about now?
- 9:22Speaker 1: Way better. A thousand percent better.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Um, So the thing I want to focus on for
- 9:28Speaker 2: a moment is we talked about Marcel Reed's play. Missouri
- 9:31Speaker 2: did such a phenomenal job last week of making Florida
- 9:34Speaker 2: incredibly one-dimensional and limiting what I think both of us
- 9:38Speaker 2: would have agreed on is probably the best rushing attack
- 9:41Speaker 2: in the conference to like nothing this weekend. Like rushing,
- 9:46Speaker 2: like they, I mean, Jaden Ball had, I think, 12
- 9:48Speaker 2: yards on his first carry. And on that first carry,
- 9:50Speaker 2: I was watching the game and thought, Oh, this is easy.
- 9:53Speaker 2: I had my prize picks lined up for ball tease
- 9:55Speaker 2: way down. And I was like, dude, we're a quarter
- 9:57Speaker 2: of the way there. And then he rushed for one
- 9:59Speaker 2: yard the rest of the day. on like 10 carries. So, uh,
- 10:01Speaker 2: and then, you know, do, do Clark had a yard,
- 10:03Speaker 2: I believe. Um, they made them incredibly one-dimensional does can
- 10:08Speaker 2: a and M. Can A & M counter that? Because
- 10:12Speaker 2: obviously Missouri is going to try. I think Missouri would
- 10:14Speaker 2: be very comfortable saying, hey, we're going to let Marcel
- 10:17Speaker 2: go out there, and if he can beat us, he
- 10:18Speaker 2: can beat us, but we think he'll make some of
- 10:20Speaker 2: those turnovers that Cole's talking about, and so we'll limit
- 10:23Speaker 2: the run. Does A & M have a counterpunch for
- 10:27Speaker 2: a Missouri defense that was, I don't know, elite last
- 10:32Speaker 2: week is it too much to say elite against.
- 10:34Speaker 3: That offense think about this tj they were without their
- 10:36Speaker 3: two starting defensive ends as well so like their status
- 10:40Speaker 3: wasn't even a factor in the game stupid now like
- 10:44Speaker 3: like to be fair the offense that's run by buster
- 10:47Speaker 3: faulkner is very similar to the one that eli drinker
- 10:51Speaker 3: which has has derived So the defense goes up against
- 10:54Speaker 3: it all the time. I think like Brooks Austin on
- 10:56Speaker 3: the phone guy was talking about it. Like the one
- 10:59Speaker 3: offensive line that's going to know how to prepare for
- 11:01Speaker 3: a Jaden Baugh is Missouri because they see it all
- 11:04Speaker 3: the time in practice.
- 11:05Speaker 4: So it's like, does A & M have a similar offense?
- 11:08Speaker 4: I don't think so.
- 11:09Speaker 3: I think they want to press downfield. I don't think
- 11:11Speaker 3: they run the football efficiently well. Now, again, in the
- 11:14Speaker 3: Arkansas game, they finished with 231 rushing yards.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Yeah, and they had four rushing touchdowns.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Does Arkansas' defensive line have a pulse right now compared
- 11:23Speaker 3: to Missouri's defensive line? Missouri's defensive line looks more so
- 11:28Speaker 3: like LSU's defensive line where you couldn't do a damn
- 11:31Speaker 3: thing running the football. I mean, you faced with less
- 11:32Speaker 3: than 200 yards of offense in that game. So the
- 11:35Speaker 3: reality is that I think that you're going to have
- 11:37Speaker 3: to win with Marcel Reed because I don't see this
- 11:39Speaker 3: rushing attack going with Jermarion Moreau. KJ Edwards, whoever else
- 11:43Speaker 3: is going to be in the backfield for this matchup.
- 11:46Speaker 3: I think that you're going to have to rely heavily
- 11:48Speaker 3: on the explosives. And to be completely frank, I don't
- 11:51Speaker 3: think that you have the weapons right now that are
- 11:53Speaker 3: fully capable to be able to make those plays downfield.
- 11:55Speaker 4: But what's funny is that the Lions only set at 3.5.
- 11:57Speaker 3: I think for good reason. They know that Missouri has
- 12:01Speaker 3: the opportunity to have the letdown moment. But more specifically,
- 12:05Speaker 3: A & M has been a thorn in the side
- 12:07Speaker 3: of the Tigers every single year.
- 12:09Speaker 4: They've handled business in Como. They've handled business at Kyle Field.
- 12:12Speaker 3: So never say never in this game, but at the
- 12:14Speaker 3: same time, I thought last season, Mizzou was hindered by
- 12:18Speaker 3: insufficient quarterback play. And we're kind of seeing it unfold
- 12:20Speaker 3: now in Charlottesville with Virginia. Bo Pabula is a mobile quarterback,
- 12:25Speaker 3: and he knows how to utilize his legs. Austin Simmons
- 12:28Speaker 3: is a mobile quarterback to a certain degree. Now, not
- 12:30Speaker 3: to the same level as Bo Pabula, but here's the counterpoint.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Austin Simmons has a howitzer. And Austin Simmons has a.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Great rapport being able to find Donovan O, Brett Norfleet,
- 12:39Speaker 3: whoever else in that receiving core, Caden Lee, for gains
- 12:42Speaker 3: of 20, gains of 15.
- 12:44Speaker 4: And when he got into a rhythm last week, he
- 12:46Speaker 4: couldn't miss. So all you need to see.
- 12:48Speaker 3: Now at this point is can my quarterback that is
- 12:52Speaker 3: currently still flying under the radar be able just to
- 12:55Speaker 3: nick and pick apart this defense on early drives to
- 12:59Speaker 3: get into a rhythm? And then once he's in a groove...
- 13:02Speaker 3: all right, now we're going to throw in some run plays.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Can we trust that that defensive line is going to
- 13:07Speaker 3: be able to shut down Jamal Roberts? And if they can, okay,
- 13:10Speaker 3: well now you got to worry about the passing attack downfield.
- 13:12Speaker 3: The big storyline for me in this game is going
- 13:14Speaker 3: to be, can A & M get pressure on Austin Simmons?
- 13:17Speaker 3: Can they do anything against this offensive line that I
- 13:20Speaker 3: think is vastly underrated in the grand scheme of college
- 13:22Speaker 3: football right now to be able to win at the
- 13:25Speaker 3: point of attack to make Austin Simmons feel pressure? Because
- 13:28Speaker 3: of so far, it feels like he's not going up
- 13:31Speaker 3: against that. And then the one time that he did,
- 13:33Speaker 3: it was in the game against Troy, and he had
- 13:35Speaker 3: 91 passing yards. Even still, I don't think that there's
- 13:38Speaker 3: going to be 91 passing yards against this Texas A
- 13:40Speaker 3: & M secondary. They allow far too many explosives. And
- 13:43Speaker 3: to be fair, as much as we can talk about
- 13:45Speaker 3: what we've seen from Jackson Harris and Reed Harris and
- 13:48Speaker 3: countless other names, Donovan O is going to be the
- 13:50Speaker 3: best wide receiver that they probably have gone up against
- 13:53Speaker 3: at this point in the season. And if not him,
- 13:55Speaker 3: well then guess who else is right next to him?
- 13:57Speaker 4: Caden Leak.
- 13:58Speaker 3: And Caden Lee is basically an unstoppable force with what
- 14:01Speaker 3: you're seeing since the days at Ole Miss working alongside
- 14:03Speaker 3: with Austin Simmons.
- 14:08Speaker 2: When we look at this spread and it's three and
- 14:10Speaker 2: a half points, that's a little bit interesting because you
- 14:13Speaker 2: usually get three points for home field. I do wonder
- 14:16Speaker 2: if the odds makers are baking in a little bit
- 14:19Speaker 2: of a letdown after. And now, again, you did mention
- 14:21Speaker 2: like home and away. That's an advantage for Missouri. If
- 14:24Speaker 2: you had to go to Kyle Field for this, I
- 14:26Speaker 2: wonder if they're baking in a little bit of a
- 14:27Speaker 2: letdown because we've seen so many freaking letdowns this year
- 14:31Speaker 2: after big wins, specifically in the SEC, but I think
- 14:35Speaker 2: it's happening in the ACC too.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I wonder if that's a little bit of their logic there.
- 14:42Speaker 2: But I feel like the spread is maybe a little
- 14:45Speaker 2: closer than it should be, but thoughts around that, and
- 14:50Speaker 2: then give me a pick.
- 14:51Speaker 3: On this one. Yeah, I mean, again, Mike Yelko's been
- 14:54Speaker 3: able to handle Eli Drinkowitz. They've played three times since 2021.
- 14:59Speaker 3: That year that they won the first time in 21,
- 15:02Speaker 3: he wasn't the head coach of A & M, but
- 15:03Speaker 3: he was the defense coordinator, and he was able to
- 15:05Speaker 3: shut them down. So Eli Drinkowitz has been kind of
- 15:09Speaker 3: hindered by the success of Mike Yelko on the defensive side. Now, credit,
- 15:13Speaker 3: they didn't have a quarterback like Austin Simmons throwing the
- 15:16Speaker 3: football around and making life a breeze. They didn't have,
- 15:18Speaker 3: I think, as good of an offensive line in 2021
- 15:22Speaker 3: as they have right now.
- 15:23Speaker 4: So maybe there's some things that lean into it.
- 15:25Speaker 3: But certainly, history says Texas A & M has woken
- 15:29Speaker 3: on up for the matchup against Mizzou and handled business
- 15:32Speaker 3: wherever the location of the game is. So I can
- 15:34Speaker 3: understand why you would say, once again, looking at the
- 15:37Speaker 3: trend of how teams continuously... lose their cool in the
- 15:41Speaker 3: next matchup after an impressive victory against a top 10 team,
- 15:44Speaker 3: that this is an opportunity for Mizzou to kind of
- 15:47Speaker 3: be let down. And after an A & M win,
- 15:50Speaker 3: maybe they're feeling a lot better about themselves. Maybe they
- 15:52Speaker 3: have a good identity offensively that knows how to be
- 15:54Speaker 3: able to go toe-to-toe with the Mizzou that will be
- 15:56Speaker 3: able to slow them down and force them to either
- 15:59Speaker 3: win with Jamal Roberts or win through the year, but
- 16:01Speaker 3: take away and make the offense one-dimensional. The bottom line
- 16:04Speaker 3: is that I am looking at one offensive unit and
- 16:06Speaker 3: I'm seeing a ton of question marks still. You're going
- 16:08Speaker 3: on the road to face off against a team that
- 16:10Speaker 3: is coming off of an emphatic victory. And you're going
- 16:13Speaker 3: up against a quarterback that has all the momentum to
- 16:15Speaker 3: continue to play at a high-end rate. I don't think
- 16:18Speaker 3: that you've seen wide receivers like Donovan O or Caden
- 16:20Speaker 3: Lee just yet. I think that as much as you
- 16:22Speaker 3: can say that there will be a back-and-forth battle, I
- 16:25Speaker 3: have to see a little bit more from Marcel Reed
- 16:27Speaker 3: in a win that was never in jeopardy, in my opinion,
- 16:31Speaker 3: against Arkansas. you still only threw for 170 yards. So
- 16:34Speaker 3: maybe you are able to have a better game plan
- 16:36Speaker 3: because of you know how to run the football.
- 16:38Speaker 4: But at some point, I think that Missouri.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Is going to test Texas A & M and say,
- 16:42Speaker 3: you are going to have to win deep, whether it
- 16:43Speaker 3: be with Horton, whether it be with Armstrong, whether it
- 16:45Speaker 3: be with Craver, if he's fully healthy for this game,
- 16:47Speaker 3: you are going to have to beat us on the
- 16:49Speaker 3: vertical passing attack. And I can't trust that right now
- 16:52Speaker 3: out in Collins Station. So I think Missouri is going
- 16:54Speaker 3: to win this one. I think that this is a
- 16:56Speaker 3: back and forth battle for three quarters. But I think
- 16:58Speaker 3: by the fourth, you start to see that defensive line
- 17:01Speaker 3: be worn down just a little bit enough for one
- 17:03Speaker 3: of those big breakaway runs that we saw against Florida
- 17:05Speaker 3: by Jamal Roberts. I'm going to say this is a
- 17:07Speaker 3: 10 point swing. Give me something along the lines of
- 17:10Speaker 3: like 31 to 20 final score. Mizzou ends up going
- 17:12Speaker 3: to five and one. And they're starting to feel like
- 17:14Speaker 3: a team that we need to talk a little bit
- 17:16Speaker 3: about more as a college ball playoff threat.
