- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hey, welcome friends.
- 0:00SPEAKER_00: It's the Scott and Bucket of Phleg show this morning.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: I have phlegm coming from every orifice.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: Man, oh man, oh man.
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: I'm blowing my nose.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: I'm coughing.
- 0:09SPEAKER_01: And I love Scott.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: It said, it comes with a taste.
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: It does come with a taste.
- 0:14SPEAKER_00: It does.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: I've had that kind of cold where you're like, what are my innards really like?
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: Right now, green and infection.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: It tastes like infection, is what it is.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:24SPEAKER_01: Oh, so we were.
- 0:25SPEAKER_01: And I hate, I only get a pebble that comes out.
- 0:27SPEAKER_01: I'm like, give me something good.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Give me like a baseball size phlegm.
- 0:31SPEAKER_00: Like something seen in a cartoon.
- 0:32SPEAKER_00: Oh no, remember the old what was the slime time?
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: Remember the uh Nickelodeon show?
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: What was the double dare?
- 0:40SPEAKER_00: Family Double Dare.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: And like you want that ooze that just drips off.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: I do.
- 0:45SPEAKER_00: I want it to come out.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: So we were talking about the Christina Pike uh botched execution yesterday.
- 0:50SPEAKER_00: Not one, but two lethal injections, and then she's still snoring.
- 0:53SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's like your husband on a bad night after a few beers.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: She did say she felt like her arm was gonna blow up.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: After two lethal injections.
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: I would imagine.
- 1:03SPEAKER_01: Which one of them we found out was something that they inject for animal euthanasia.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, either way, Kathy, you asked a great question.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, this is such a good question.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I always thought if your lethal injection or your electric chair didn't work, then you got off.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: Or is that just a myth?
- 1:21SPEAKER_01: That is a myth.
- 1:22SPEAKER_01: What happens is they you're not getting set free.
- 1:25SPEAKER_01: She's gonna go to a medical facility first.
- 1:28SPEAKER_01: And this is according to Tennessee state law, because this is where she's being executed.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Where they kind of treat her, if you know what I mean, wink wink.
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and then they keep them confined.
- 1:37SPEAKER_01: Eventually, they're gonna try this execution again.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: Oh god, to live with that.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: Don't get me wrong, she did heinous things.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: I'm not saying that.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: I'm just saying it imagine you.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Just you.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: You're you you didn't do anything heinous.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, just heinous things are coming out of your body right now.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: But I've never done something to someone else.
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: So imagine here, I'll I'll plant this seed for you.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: Let's say you were falsely accused that went all the way to death row, and here you are.
- 2:00SPEAKER_00: Hokel's the one person that said, Allie Payne offer.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: Uh-huh.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: You know, you're the first one in like 200 years in New York.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: I got you, yeah.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: And uh, and and they screw it up.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Worst of the worst, too.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: And now you gotta, you gotta l you you're sitting with it.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: It's coming again.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: I mean I know, but you Christina did torture the 18th.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: I know, but now she's getting torture returned.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Wow, this is like almost karma in a weird way.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, all right, you're right.
- 2:24SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's hard to put it in that.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's really flipping hilarious.
- 2:28SPEAKER_01: Let's not blame it on God.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: That was just using that for humor.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: It gives us the ability to invent things.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Like lethal injections.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 2:39SPEAKER_01: And I didn't think they do they even still use the electric chair anymore?
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Somewhere they do, I think in Texas.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Texas is like the wild west when it comes to execution.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: Would you like to be lined up and shot?
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Would you like the electric chair, lethal injection?
- 2:52SPEAKER_01: All the electric chairs are at haunted houses across the country.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: A pack of wild wolves coming after you?
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: Oh, that'd be a way to do it.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: A pack of wild wolves?
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: Yeah, put her in a wolf-infested forest and say, safe.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: Now that, if you make it out of that, all right, you can walk away.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Or cement shoes.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: That is a this got real dark.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, the firing, what's the firing range that they used to do back in the day?
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: Firing squad, not range, yeah.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: That they used to do back in the day.
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: And I heard that in order to save sanity, you know, Doug might know this.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: And the reason I say this is Doug was in the military.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: And I think this happened, I think this stems from back uh when someone would be like court-martialed and they'd be sentenced to death.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: I believe if they have six people on a firing squad, a bunch of them have blanks and one person.
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, you've heard this too.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, no, I read it.
- 3:43SPEAKER_01: And one has a bullet, but I read this book called New Jack, and it was about uh it was about the prison system, and then they talked about execution, and they gave the history of it.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: So that is an accurate statement.
- 3:54SPEAKER_00: Okay, and that's for the sanity of the people that were on the firing squad.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Because whether whether you are taking someone out that did something heinous or not, in your mind, somewhere you're going, I'm taking a life.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: Well, it's the same as you never ask somebody who's been in the service, have you killed someone?
- 4:10SPEAKER_01: It is jarring enough for them.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: That's a good point.
- 4:13SPEAKER_01: You're not first of all, it's it's gonna change your viewpoint of them, and they don't need to relive it with you.
- 4:21SPEAKER_01: You're not the person to relive it with.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: Maybe a therapist.
- 4:23SPEAKER_00: Uh 8639 just sent a very helpful text.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: They're headed to Addison from Woodhall just before the uh wood plant looks like a school bus hit a fallen tree in the road.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: And uh the lane, one lane emergency uh crews are on the scene.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's good.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: Oh, that was and it's tough to see this morning because it's raining pretty good right now.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: So and it's still sort of dark.
- 4:46SPEAKER_01: If anyone has any more information on that, you let us know.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, please.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Okay, let's get off the death row.
- 4:52SPEAKER_01: All right, look, I'm sorry, but it was really interesting.
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: It's a rabbit hole.
- 4:57SPEAKER_01: I'm f I'm fine talking about it because we're all we are gonna get into something a little bit more serious later with the Cornell situation.
- 5:03SPEAKER_01: Because I have a video I'm gonna play you in just a bit, but let's shift it a little bit.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Then let me tell you about Gavin's new expression.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Let me just lighten this all the way up.
- 5:12SPEAKER_01: For anybody who's new, because sometimes we get a new person.
- 5:15SPEAKER_01: I love when we get a new person.
- 5:16SPEAKER_01: Gavin is Scott's son, he's 12.
- 5:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he I bet you he comes home with new expressions every day.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: Yes, and no.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: Sometimes he's not overly the let's use all the gen alpha expressions, but he'll whip one or two out, and it always catches me when he does.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Because I'm like, never heard that before.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: And let me just set the stage of how this works every single day.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: I pick up Gavin, Lucas walks out with Gavin and me, and sometimes uh uh Grayson does too.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: So sometimes we have the the group of people.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: I don't remember what Gavin and Lucas were talking about the other day, but as Gavin gets into the car, he lays out to me, and there's a I have you'll see my body expression when I do this.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Everybody else won't, but you'll get it.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: And the expression he goes, uh, he goes, yeah, it was absolute cinema.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: So drama, right?
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: Well, is that what it means?
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: No, I think it was more they were having a conversation about something like over the top that happened.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, in a in a cinema level, like think the Avengers.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: It's cinema level, big, you know, big explosions, big, you know, crazy things.
- 6:23SPEAKER_00: But the expression goes, oh man, it was absolute cinema.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: And your hands go kind of go like this, and I had to have Gavin show me the body movement twice.
- 6:30SPEAKER_00: I'm like, wait, what did you just hold on a second?
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: I had to look it up because I never heard I never heard this one.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: I think it's a great little expression.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Absolute cinema, man.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: It's it's for Why Eddie the Man.
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know if that's part of it.
- 6:42SPEAKER_01: A moment of video or situation that is so peak, impressive.
- 6:46SPEAKER_00: So peak.
- 6:47SPEAKER_00: Now we're using words for Jet Alpha to describe the definition.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: Go ahead.
- 6:51SPEAKER_01: It feels like a cinematic masterpiece.
- 6:53SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 6:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, I like this.
- 6:55SPEAKER_00: He totally gets on the counter.
- 6:56SPEAKER_00: He goes, absolute cinema.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: Hands go up.
- 6:59SPEAKER_01: Okay, the vibe is it acts as the ultimate upgrade to calling something the goat, the greatest of all time.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 7:04SPEAKER_01: So instead of the goat, it's now absolute cinema.
- 7:07SPEAKER_01: So I got it.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: So Tom Brady's the goat, but Josh Allen, he's better.
- 7:12SPEAKER_00: Absolute cinema.
- 7:13SPEAKER_00: Got it.
