- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news. Now you'll find out what
- 0:03Speaker 1: it all means.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Hey, smart simone on seven to TENR.
- 0:11Speaker 3: Well, we'll get to the mayor old debate. The final
- 0:13Speaker 3: mayoral debate is tonight at seven o'clock. Will go over
- 0:16Speaker 3: all the whole thing, and then we'll get to Donald Trump.
- 0:19Speaker 3: You won't believe what the Democrats are melting down over
- 0:23Speaker 3: this time. We'll get to there's some other races going
- 0:27Speaker 3: on here in New York City. You should be where,
- 0:29Speaker 3: very very important. We'll get to Johnny Carson coming up
- 0:33Speaker 3: a little later this hour, don't miss that. We'll get
- 0:36Speaker 3: to Broadway, we'll get to Hunter, we'll get to the
- 0:39Speaker 3: next indictments, the awful law fair guys from the Biden administration,
- 0:44Speaker 3: one by one going down. We'll tell you who's next. Hey,
- 0:48Speaker 3: Tonight is the final mayoral debate. It's it's seven o'clock.
- 0:52Speaker 3: It'll be a ninety minute debate. That last one on
- 0:54Speaker 3: Channel four was two hours. It was too long. You
- 0:57Speaker 3: couldn't After about an hour and a half you couldn't
- 0:59Speaker 3: watch anymore. So it'll be a ninety minute debate tonight. Unfortunately,
- 1:03Speaker 3: it's on New York One, which has very few viewers.
- 1:06Speaker 3: And the other problem with New York One is the
- 1:08Speaker 3: most slanted left wing place. In fact, the debate moderator
- 1:13Speaker 3: will be Errol Lewis. Very nice guy, but you couldn't
- 1:16Speaker 3: get more left wing, slanted partisan than Errol Lewis. A
- 1:20Speaker 3: lot of people think that's a ridiculous choice, that he
- 1:23Speaker 3: should recuse himself. Try to find somebody moderate, somebody neutral
- 1:29Speaker 3: to run the debate. So you know they stack these debates.
- 1:32Speaker 3: If you watch the Channel four debate with four moderators,
- 1:36Speaker 3: three candidates, four moderators, but all of them against you,
- 1:41Speaker 3: very very left wing. You barely let Curtis talk for
- 1:44Speaker 3: the first twenty minutes. And then if you're watching the
- 1:46Speaker 3: debate laters, it's pretty frustrating. Every time we tried to talk,
- 1:49Speaker 3: they kept switching subjects, cutting them off. So that could
- 1:52Speaker 3: be even worse tonight with the very slanted Errol Lewis
- 1:58Speaker 3: running this New York One debate. Now you probably is
- 2:00Speaker 3: who sees New York won nobody anymore. But it'll also
- 2:03Speaker 3: be streaming, it'll be online, the clips will go everywhere,
- 2:06Speaker 3: so hopefully it'll get some attention. Curtis, you know, he
- 2:11Speaker 3: won the last debate everybody agreed on that. The question
- 2:14Speaker 3: is did anybody notice? And the problem is, you know,
- 2:18Speaker 3: do does anybody really pay attention to these debates? So
- 2:20Speaker 3: tonight he's got to He'll do fine, he'll win the debate,
- 2:23Speaker 3: but he's going to need some real viral moments, things
- 2:27Speaker 3: that go all over the place. He's got to take
- 2:29Speaker 3: out Mom Donnie keeps going. Everybody says, we do he
- 2:32Speaker 3: keep going after Cuomo. How can you help it? You
- 2:36Speaker 3: can't help going after Cuomo. But it is Cuomo in
- 2:39Speaker 3: the way. You know, there's all these calls are Curtis away,
- 2:41Speaker 3: He's got to drop out? Why doesn't he drop out?
- 2:44Speaker 3: Where are the calls for Cuomo to drop out? You know,
- 2:48Speaker 3: Curtis has a very little baggage, you know, maybe a
- 2:51Speaker 3: carry on Cuomo he's got more baggage than Paris Hilton.
- 2:55Speaker 3: I mean, it's going to be a problem in tonight's debate.
- 3:00Speaker 3: He's gonna have to answer for all that stuff. I
- 3:02Speaker 3: know people are saying, yeah, but there was a poll
- 3:04Speaker 3: that showed if it was just Cuomo and Mam Donnie,
- 3:06Speaker 3: it would be tied. And not a poll I would trust.
- 3:10Speaker 3: It's a little poll from a polling company nobody ever
- 3:13Speaker 3: heard of. That's run by Cuomo supporters, So I wouldn't
- 3:17Speaker 3: take that. I don't take that poll seriously. But tonight
- 3:22Speaker 3: will be the final, the final straw, the final blow.
- 3:27Speaker 3: After tonight, there's not much else that could change the election.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Early voting starts on Saturday, and a lot of people
- 3:35Speaker 3: do that early voting. Sometimes that's half the votes of
- 3:38Speaker 3: the early voting. It starts Saturday, it goes for about
- 3:40Speaker 3: ten days. The election is two weeks from yesterday, so
- 3:46Speaker 3: it's not looking good. Mam. Donnie still has a lead,
- 3:49Speaker 3: but these polls have been wrong before. And Curtis is
- 3:53Speaker 3: one of these type of guys like Trump in the beginning,
- 3:56Speaker 3: who tends to underpole. In other words, he's actually better
- 3:59Speaker 3: than the polls are showing. Cuomo, Well, you got a
- 4:05Speaker 3: couple of problems. One, people just can't stand the guy,
- 4:08Speaker 3: especially in the political world. He's threatened everybody, you know,
- 4:11Speaker 3: that whole bully routine of threatening everybody in the in
- 4:15Speaker 3: the in the world, the government wise, you got no friends,
- 4:18Speaker 3: no allies. When he left office, he had to leave
- 4:21Speaker 3: in disgrace and resign. But when he left he did
- 4:24Speaker 3: spend a lot of time there wooing the big donors,
- 4:26Speaker 3: which is a group you can easily reach there in
- 4:30Speaker 3: the Upper east Side, there in the Hampton's, there in
- 4:32Speaker 3: Palm Beach, you can run down there, go to all
- 4:34Speaker 3: their dinners, hang out with them, win them o. He
- 4:36Speaker 3: won them over. That's why you see all these big, big, big,
- 4:39Speaker 3: big donors backing Cuomo. They are behind him. That's his base,
- 4:44Speaker 3: you know, that's the most important thing. Who's your base?
- 4:47Speaker 3: That's his base? The big donors. Unfortunately, when it comes
- 4:50Speaker 3: to voting, they're only like, there's seventy five of them.
- 4:53Speaker 3: It's it's not a lot of votes. And remember they
- 4:55Speaker 3: have a track record of being one hundred percent wrong
- 4:58Speaker 3: every time, those big donors. Who's Curtis's base, Well, definitely
- 5:03Speaker 3: Staten Island, a lot of Queen's, a lot of Brooklyn,
- 5:06Speaker 3: a lot of working class, a lot of people behind Curtis.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Who's the mom Donnie's base. He's got younger voters, they
- 5:11Speaker 3: love them. He's got all the left wing Democrats and
- 5:15Speaker 3: they've convinced themselves that it's these oligarchs. If only we
- 5:20Speaker 3: could get rid of these oligarchs, everything would be great,
- 5:23Speaker 3: it'd be affordable. They kind of works the opposite way.
- 5:28Speaker 3: That's the problem with Mom Donnie and those type of socialists.
- 5:31Speaker 3: They've never understood the relationship between capitalism and everybody having
- 5:37Speaker 3: a good economy, a strong economy. Now, the other problem
- 5:41Speaker 3: is with these socialists, they don't really it's not really
- 5:43Speaker 3: anything the stuff they claim, they're not even really for.
- 5:47Speaker 3: If you're Mom Donnie, you don't live that way. You know,
- 5:49Speaker 3: socialists live more like oligarchs. In fact, oligarchs comes from
- 5:53Speaker 3: the communist socialist world. So tonight seven to nine thirty,
- 5:57Speaker 3: this will be crucial if there's any chance of blooding
- 6:01Speaker 3: up Mom Donnie. Verbally it'll be tonight, it's gotta happen. Now.
- 6:07Speaker 3: The other thing, you know, Mom Donnie is a good talker.
- 6:11Speaker 3: You know, he talks very fast. When you talk very
- 6:13Speaker 3: fast and you speak quickly and you talk like, people
- 6:15Speaker 3: think he must be very smart. How else could you
- 6:16Speaker 3: talk to this fast? And looks good. He's got that
- 6:19Speaker 3: those eyes look good. He looks sharp, he looks like
- 6:22Speaker 3: a dynamic young guy. The problem is it looks he
- 6:25Speaker 3: just looks like a salesman. He's clearly not a manager.
- 6:27Speaker 3: He's just a salesman. And the problem is for him,
- 6:35Speaker 3: maybe even with his base, they don't really deep down
- 6:37Speaker 3: think he's authentic or sincere. There's no clarity. You know,
- 6:42Speaker 3: He's got these visions of things but no specifics, So
- 6:45Speaker 3: there's no authenticity, no clarity. The other problem with Cuomo
- 6:49Speaker 3: he used to be a good salesman years ago, but
- 6:52Speaker 3: and he was never a manager because as governor, it
- 6:54Speaker 3: was a disaster. Disaster. He screwed up the police, he
- 6:58Speaker 3: screwed up trime fighting, he screwed up the nursing homes.
- 7:02Speaker 3: I mean, it's just the worst management. That decision to
- 7:05Speaker 3: send patients with the virus into all the nursing homes
- 7:08Speaker 3: may go down in history. It's the single dumbest management
- 7:11Speaker 3: decision ever made in the world. So and nobody looks
- 7:15Speaker 3: at Cuomo and thinks authenticity or clarity. You know, he's
- 7:19Speaker 3: he did something awful. Now he says it was wrong.
- 7:22Speaker 3: I wouldn't do it again. He's flip flopping all over
- 7:24Speaker 3: the place on things. So when you look at Curtis,
- 7:27Speaker 3: here's the only guy you see with at real authenticity.
- 7:29Speaker 3: There's even a Colin in the New York Post today
- 7:31Speaker 3: pointing this out. And the post is not for Curtis,
- 7:34Speaker 3: but even they point out when it comes to clarity, authenticity,
- 7:38Speaker 3: it's only Curtis. So you know, they keeps saying, Curtis,
- 7:42Speaker 3: why do you go after Cuomo? Go after Mom Donnie.
- 7:44Speaker 3: But on the other hand, I'm listening to Cuomo the
- 7:46Speaker 3: last couple of days. He's going after Curtis more than
- 7:48Speaker 3: Mom Donnie.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Curtis cannot will not be Mayor of New York. He
- 7:54Speaker 4: could cause Mandami to be Mayor of New York. Those
- 7:59Speaker 4: are his options.
- 8:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but who did cause Mam Donnie to be in
- 8:03Speaker 3: the league. Well, it was Cuomo. Unfortunately in the Democratic
- 8:07Speaker 3: primary instead of Adams, he had Cuomo against Mom Donnie,
- 8:11Speaker 3: and Cuomo was a disaster in that race. He lost
- 8:14Speaker 3: both debates, he lost the popular vote by a lot.
- 8:17Speaker 3: So if it's Cuomo that gave us Mom Donnie, by
- 8:20Speaker 3: his poor performance in the primary, we got stuck with
- 8:23Speaker 3: Mom Donnie.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It's not about you.
- 8:26Speaker 5: It's not about you.
- 8:28Speaker 3: It he keeps going after Curtis.
- 8:29Speaker 5: It's not about you. It's not about you, Curtis. It's
- 8:33Speaker 5: not about me. It's not about Mayor Eric Adams. It's
- 8:36Speaker 5: not about any of us. It's about New York City.
- 8:40Speaker 5: That's why we're here. That should be why we're here.
- 8:45Speaker 4: And if that's not why we're here, uh, it's God's
- 8:50Speaker 4: way of telling us we shouldn't be here. Curtis cannot
- 8:54Speaker 4: will not be mayor of New York. He could cause
- 8:59Speaker 4: Mandannie to be mayor of New York. Those are his options.
- 9:04Speaker 3: Yeah, but the real problem everybody thinks Mam Donnie would
- 9:08Speaker 3: be a nightmare as mayor of New York. The problem is,
- 9:11Speaker 3: deep down everybody knows Cuomo could be a disaster. He
- 9:15Speaker 3: might do the same crap he did as governor. Remember
- 9:17Speaker 3: as governor he was so far to the left, so
- 9:19Speaker 3: much left wing woke kind of stuff. It caused the
- 9:23Speaker 3: crime wave. He's closed Indian points, screwed up our electric bills,
- 9:27Speaker 3: our electricity. He could go on and on all the decisions,
- 9:30Speaker 3: but so in a position he could have a total
- 9:33Speaker 3: nightmare with Mam Donnie or a bad dream with Cuomo.
- 9:37Speaker 3: I don't know. Here's Curtis.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I don't see any sign of a Cuomo campaign other
- 9:42Speaker 2: than every day agnowledge him.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Slee wool must drop out or I can't win. Why
- 9:48Speaker 1: not wave the white flag?
- 9:50Speaker 6: Now?
- 9:51Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 9:51Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's another thing. Have you ever seen a
- 9:53Speaker 3: race like that where a guy can't get his own votes,
- 9:56Speaker 3: he has to beg everybody else to drop out. Yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 3: I saw it once. It was in the Democratic primaries.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Remember when Joe Biden was one of twelve candidates and
- 10:07Speaker 3: he was horrible in the debates and he wasn't winning.
- 10:09Speaker 3: You remember, and then they came to South Carolina and
- 10:13Speaker 3: the Democratic Party made everybody else drop out of the race.
- 10:16Speaker 3: You remember that. They made Buddhajetge drop out, They made
- 10:20Speaker 3: Elizabeth Warren drop out, Bernie Sanders, they all had to
- 10:22Speaker 3: resign from the race the day before the South Carolina
- 10:25Speaker 3: primary so that Joe Biden could win. It worked, they
- 10:28Speaker 3: all dropped out and Biden won. But look what you
- 10:31Speaker 3: ended up with. So that's whenever you got to make
- 10:33Speaker 3: people drop out of a race to get yourself a winner,
- 10:37Speaker 3: you end up with a bad, bad candidate. Hey, it
- 10:41Speaker 3: happened with Cuomo years ago. He's running for governor and
- 10:44Speaker 3: he had the very popular David Patterson out there ready
- 10:47Speaker 3: to challenge him, and they made Patterson get out of
- 10:50Speaker 3: the race. They had then President Obama get Patterson out
- 10:56Speaker 3: of the race so Cuomo could win. I talked to
- 10:58Speaker 3: Patterson about this the other Day firmed it absolutely said
- 11:02Speaker 3: it was heavy pressure from the Obama administration that forced
- 11:04Speaker 3: him out of the race so Cuomo could win. So
- 11:07Speaker 3: he's got a history of this. He can't win, can't
- 11:09Speaker 3: go out there and get the votes, but he's got
- 11:11Speaker 3: to get other people out of the race. Here's more
- 11:12Speaker 3: a curtisy.
- 11:13Speaker 1: I am not dropping out under no circumstance.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I've already been offered money to drop out. I said no.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Distant from that, with threats again Stancy and myself, I
- 11:26Speaker 4: now have to have armed security with me former NYPD officers.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Never had that in my life. I trust the people
- 11:36Speaker 3: they are able to choose the next mayor. Well, anyway,
- 11:40Speaker 3: stop arguing about it. Wait till tonight seven to eight thirty.
- 11:44Speaker 3: The mayoral debate is tonight seven o'clock. Watched that and
- 11:47Speaker 3: then afterwards then you'll know. Then you'll know what's gonna
- 11:51Speaker 3: all have some idea. And again early voting starts Saturday.
- 11:54Speaker 3: And now here's another thing. This is very important. You
- 11:57Speaker 3: got to get rid of Alvin Bragg. This is the
- 11:59Speaker 3: district attorney who lets all the criminals out. He doesn't
- 12:02Speaker 3: put people in jail. It's one reason we have such
- 12:04Speaker 3: a bad crime wave. So you got to get rid
- 12:08Speaker 3: of Alvin Bragg. There's a woman running against him. She's
- 12:12Speaker 3: the Republican candidate. She's really a Democrat, been a Democrat
- 12:15Speaker 3: for years, but running as a Republican. She's got a
- 12:17Speaker 3: very good track record as a DA she puts criminals
- 12:20Speaker 3: in jail. So this could be a big, big, big change.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Get rid of Alvin Bragg. Vote for maud merin election
- 12:27Speaker 3: day or early voting. If you get Alvin Bragg out
- 12:30Speaker 3: of there and get her in there, at least you
- 12:32Speaker 3: got some protection against a possible mom Donnie mayoralty. Now
- 12:39Speaker 3: President Trump. The Democrats that Trump derangement syndrome is amazing.
- 12:47Speaker 3: No matter what he does, they go nuts. He's building
- 12:50Speaker 3: a spectacular ballroom at the White House. It needs it,
- 12:56Speaker 3: it really needs it. They don't you know that beautiful
- 12:59Speaker 3: East Room of the White It can only hold about
- 13:01Speaker 3: two hundred people. So when they have these big parties
- 13:03Speaker 3: and big events, they have to put a tent on
- 13:05Speaker 3: the lawn, so it looks like a wedding in New
- 13:09Speaker 3: Jersey with the tent on the lawn. It's not appropriate
- 13:12Speaker 3: for the White House. And the other problem is, you know,
- 13:14Speaker 3: half the time it's raining, it's cold, it's wet, the
- 13:18Speaker 3: grass is wet. You can't keep having a major White
- 13:21Speaker 3: House event in a tent on the lawn. So he
- 13:24Speaker 3: wants to build this ballroom and it's going to be
- 13:26Speaker 3: spectacular to hold about eight hundred beautiful ballroom. It's going
- 13:31Speaker 3: to extend out the east wing of the White House.
- 13:33Speaker 3: So to start this, they have to tear down one
- 13:36Speaker 3: of the walls of the east room of the East
- 13:39Speaker 3: Wing and attach this. So you've seen the pictures. It's demolition,
- 13:44Speaker 3: the wrecking balls, the cranes. They've taken down one of
- 13:47Speaker 3: the walls on the east end of the White House,
- 13:51Speaker 3: the East Wing, and what's actually there is the First
- 13:54Speaker 3: Lady's office. She's had to move to somewhere else temporarily.
- 13:57Speaker 3: And this will go quickly because it's Trump who's an
- 14:00Speaker 3: expert at construction. It's not like the government building it.
- 14:03Speaker 3: And yesterday he was doing a press converge. You can
- 14:05Speaker 3: hear the construction going on, and you could hear the
- 14:08Speaker 3: noise in the distance, and he said, ah, the sound
- 14:10Speaker 3: of construction. I love that sound. Well, think about it,
- 14:13Speaker 3: we hate that sound. But to a guy who's been
- 14:15Speaker 3: a builder all his life. He loves it. Now, this
- 14:17Speaker 3: is not unusual to tear down something in the White
- 14:20Speaker 3: House build something else. Happens all the time, even the
- 14:23Speaker 3: West Wing. In nineteen oh two, President Roosevelt added the
- 14:26Speaker 3: West Wing. You know Trump is adding a ballroom. It
- 14:29Speaker 3: was President Theodore Roosevelt that added the West Wing to
- 14:34Speaker 3: the White House. Franklin Roosevelt added a second floor to
- 14:37Speaker 3: the West Wing. They had relocate the Oval Office for
- 14:41Speaker 3: a while. Nineteen forty eight, President Harry Truman, come listen this.
- 14:45Speaker 3: Nineteen forty eight, Truman completely gutted the White House interior
- 14:50Speaker 3: and rebuilt the whole thing, preserving only the exterior walls.
- 14:54Speaker 3: He completely gutted the White House, and it has always
- 14:59Speaker 3: been changing the to be a swimming pool in the
- 15:01Speaker 3: White House. Nineteen seventy Nixon got rid of it, removed
- 15:04Speaker 3: the swimming pool, converted into the press briefing room that
- 15:09Speaker 3: you see. He also added a bowling alley. President Obama
- 15:13Speaker 3: took away the tennis court. There was a beautiful tennis
- 15:15Speaker 3: court there. He got rid of it, put in a
- 15:17Speaker 3: basketball court. So things go on all the time like this.
- 15:22Speaker 3: It's going to look great, But liberals are all over
- 15:24Speaker 3: the place. The left wing online crying emotional about this.
- 15:28Speaker 3: A picture of that wrecking ball hitting the wall and
- 15:31Speaker 3: the headlines desecration, heartbreaking. What he's doing to the playhouse.
- 15:35Speaker 3: It's going to look spectacular. And those tweets in those
- 15:39Speaker 3: posts you're putting up aren't going to age well. So, hey,
- 15:43Speaker 3: we'll get to the President wants the Department of Justice
- 15:46Speaker 3: to pay him two hundred and thirty million dollars. Now,
- 15:50Speaker 3: this will really get these left wing people crazy. He's
- 15:54Speaker 3: probably wrong about that. I mean, he's owed something for
- 15:58Speaker 3: the whole fake which hunt, the Russia hoax, the raid
- 16:02Speaker 3: on mar A Lago, which was absolutely disgusting. He's owed
- 16:05Speaker 3: something for that, the law fairy, he was put on
- 16:07Speaker 3: trial in four cities. What is he owed? I don't know,
- 16:11Speaker 3: maybe several million to pay all his legal fees, all
- 16:14Speaker 3: his expenses pay. Obviously he's owed that. I don't two
- 16:18Speaker 3: hundred and thirty million might be a ridiculous figure, but
- 16:21Speaker 3: you know, that might be a starting figure. Anyway. Hey,
- 16:23Speaker 3: we'll get to Johnny Carson coming up. Don't miss that.
- 16:27Speaker 3: We'll take some calls next. Eight hundred three two one
- 16:31Speaker 3: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 16:34Speaker 3: one zero seven, ten. Hey, let's take some calls. Let's
- 16:38Speaker 3: go to uh Rich and Myrtle Beach. That line works, Rich,
- 16:41Speaker 3: How you doing good?
- 16:43Speaker 8: Thanks? Mark? You know, everything we talk about here, day
- 16:46Speaker 8: after day, subject after subject, all goes back to this
- 16:50Speaker 8: honesty of the press. The plenty of pleasures of torn Aport,
- 16:54Speaker 8: the White House for centuries, but it's only Donald Trump
- 16:57Speaker 8: that's a criminal about it. It's only Donald Trump this
- 17:00Speaker 8: green back and he's using his own money. It's really unbelievable.
- 17:03Speaker 8: All comes back to the dishonesty of the press.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, it's tough to run a democracy, You're right,
- 17:08Speaker 3: without an honest press, with the totally distorted media. It's
- 17:12Speaker 3: some of his own. He's going to put in a
- 17:14Speaker 3: couple million, but most of the renovation will be paid
- 17:17Speaker 3: for by donors, and so that'll be another that's the
- 17:22Speaker 3: next left wing attack. They're going to hit him with
- 17:24Speaker 3: that a special interest in oligarks are buying favors. And
- 17:28Speaker 3: again it's done all the time. Every president has done
- 17:31Speaker 3: renovation to the White House. Let's go to Mike and Florida. Mike,
- 17:34Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 17:36Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark?
- 17:37Speaker 10: Yes, Mike, you played a sound bite yesterday with Clomo
- 17:40Speaker 10: claiming that as part of his platform, he's going to
- 17:43Speaker 10: build eighty thousand affordable how impousing units once he gets elected, and.
- 17:49Speaker 9: People should be remembered. This is what he did at
- 17:51Speaker 9: HUD and it caused the housing clash that the tooth
- 17:56Speaker 9: ear in the early two thousands, and it's something Democrats
- 17:58Speaker 9: keep doing every few general. We called them the projects
- 18:01Speaker 9: in the old days. And it doesn't work. And he's
- 18:04Speaker 9: just going to do the same thing here, and he's
- 18:06Speaker 9: a he's a fraud. And you know, it's amazing that
- 18:11Speaker 9: Republicans can't have the guts to get behind Curtis.
- 18:16Speaker 3: It's shame. I don't think I don't think Clonmo's a fraud.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I think he's actually sincere. He believes he's doing the
- 18:21Speaker 3: right stuff all the time, like with this right bailed
- 18:24Speaker 3: note jail. I think he's just wrong. He as head
- 18:27Speaker 3: of HUD the housing stuff. Many people think he was
- 18:30Speaker 3: a major factor in causing the housing crash which almost
- 18:32Speaker 3: took down the whole American economy. And as governor, you
- 18:37Speaker 3: saw a disaster after a disaster. So he's not a fraud.
- 18:39Speaker 3: He just I don't know what it is. He just
- 18:42Speaker 3: screws up. He just he's a salesman. He's not a manager.
- 18:45Speaker 3: And that's the problem with some people. They can just
- 18:47Speaker 3: talk there, they can campaign, but they're not managers. They
- 18:50Speaker 3: can't run stuff. Let's go to Joe in Babylon. Joe,
- 18:53Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 18:56Speaker 11: Good?
- 18:57Speaker 3: Mark?
- 18:57Speaker 12: I just want to make one point about Curtis was
- 19:00Speaker 12: candidacy for mayor as far as his situation as a
- 19:06Speaker 12: Republican candidate. From my understanding, he's also running on the
- 19:10Speaker 12: independent line, and it's not being emphasized for those Democrats
- 19:15Speaker 12: will not vote for a Republican.
- 19:18Speaker 3: Well, I don't think Democrats going to vote for him anyway.
- 19:20Speaker 3: I Democrats love Mom Donnie and a lot of them
- 19:24Speaker 3: like Cuomo. It's a Republican. It's going to be a
- 19:26Speaker 3: turnout election. If you get the eighteen percent model. That's
- 19:30Speaker 3: how de Blasio got elected. It was eighteen percent turnout.
- 19:33Speaker 3: If you get the eighty percent model, everything changes. That's
- 19:36Speaker 3: how Rudy Giuliani got elected. Hey, by the way, if
- 19:40Speaker 3: you look at the ballot, at the top of the
- 19:41Speaker 3: ballot is Mom Donni, second is Curtis. Those are the two.
- 19:46Speaker 3: You gotta really hunt for. Cuomo's name. You gotta go
- 19:48Speaker 3: down eight spaces to find Cuomo. He's got a problem
- 19:51Speaker 3: with his ballot position. Let's go to Jerry in Greenwich. Jerry,
- 19:55Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 19:57Speaker 13: I'm doing very well, Mark. Could you know it's a
- 19:59Speaker 13: share what's had been in New York? It was beautiful.
- 20:02Speaker 13: But anyway, may I be allowed to wish good luck
- 20:05Speaker 13: to my friend Heather. She's rerunning for a text collector
- 20:10Speaker 13: in Greenwich. All right, I wish yours.
- 20:12Speaker 3: To look and we want everybody in Greenwich. We want
- 20:14Speaker 3: everybody to vote for Fred Camillo. He's the mayor. He's
- 20:17Speaker 3: a great mayor.
- 20:18Speaker 13: Yes, yes, agreed with that.
- 20:20Speaker 3: He's up for reelection. Make sure you vote for Fred Camillo.
- 20:22Speaker 3: And who's the who's the tax collector?
- 20:25Speaker 13: I'm on the lane for that, you know. And but Heather,
- 20:28Speaker 13: she's a very lovely lady and she's she cares for
- 20:31Speaker 13: the Greenwich people. Anyway, I want to thank you very
- 20:34Speaker 13: much for let me to say that.
- 20:36Speaker 3: All right, don't worry, that's fine, we'll send you the bill.
- 20:38Speaker 3: But one more, Let's go to Sandy in the New
- 20:40Speaker 3: York Sandy, what's going on?
- 20:43Speaker 14: Good morning?
- 20:43Speaker 11: Mark?
- 20:44Speaker 14: Yes, Mark, I think about that beautiful ball that Donald
- 20:48Speaker 14: Trump is building in the White House. I went to
- 20:51Speaker 14: mar Alago once.
- 20:52Speaker 3: And oh, you're one of those. If you go to
- 20:54Speaker 3: mar A Lago, it's these women everywhere. They chase every
- 20:57Speaker 3: everybody around the room. How are you can I take up?
- 21:01Speaker 3: And they take selfies with everybody. That's if you look
- 21:04Speaker 3: at the pictures of my ago, it looks beautiful, but
- 21:07Speaker 3: that crowd. He when we come back, we'll take a
- 21:10Speaker 3: look at Johnny Carson. Johnny Carson. You look at what's
- 21:15Speaker 3: on Late Night today. Oh listen, I know. I was
- 21:21Speaker 3: like the Johnny Carson expert. I knew everything you could
- 21:23Speaker 3: know about Johnny Carson. Then I started listening to this
- 21:25Speaker 3: thing called the Carson Podcast. There's six hundred episodes. By
- 21:29Speaker 3: the time I got done, I learned like three million
- 21:31Speaker 3: things I never knew. It was the greatest look at
- 21:33Speaker 3: Johnny Carson ever done by Mark Malcoff. He interviewed everybody
- 21:38Speaker 3: that every celebrity was on the Tonight Shoe Brady worked.
- 21:41Speaker 3: It's well, it's turned into a book. The book just
- 21:43Speaker 3: came out, the definitive book on Johnny Carson. We'll talk
- 21:47Speaker 3: to Mark Malcoff, the author next on seven to ten
- 21:51Speaker 3: WR seven to ten WRS.
- 21:54Speaker 1: Mark Simone show continues.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Now, whoa, I still can't find it. We're looking for
- 22:02Speaker 3: Mark Melcoff, author of the great New Johnny Carson book.
- 22:05Speaker 3: I'm sure he'll turn up a pretty reliable guy. We
- 22:10Speaker 3: couldn't find him. All right, hang on here, let me
- 22:16Speaker 3: send him a text. He's not Steve Moore. He's not
- 22:20Speaker 3: Steve Moore. We'll get him. Uh, there we go. He
- 22:26Speaker 3: wrote this book based on for years, I guess about
- 22:31Speaker 3: five six years, he's been doing something called The Carson Podcast.
- 22:35Speaker 3: And if you haven't heard it, start listening to it.
- 22:37Speaker 3: You'll get addicted. If you love Johnny Carson, if you
- 22:39Speaker 3: love that whole world of television and the Golden Age,
- 22:43Speaker 3: it's called the Carson Podcast. And he interviewed every big
- 22:46Speaker 3: star you can imagine that was ever on The Tonight Show.
- 22:49Speaker 3: But even more fascinating are the interviews with all the
- 22:54Speaker 3: people that worked on the show, even though people he
- 22:56Speaker 3: wouldn't think it'd be interesting, like the guy that held
- 22:58Speaker 3: the curtain open. They're fascinating interviews, all sorts of insights
- 23:02Speaker 3: and stories behind the scenes the Tonight's Show and about
- 23:08Speaker 3: Johnny Carson and everything. So after years of this it
- 23:11Speaker 3: became so popular, it turned into a book and it
- 23:15Speaker 3: just came out yesterday. It's called Love Johnny Carson. It's
- 23:19Speaker 3: the definitive, full, fascinating story of Carson. What made him
- 23:25Speaker 3: so successful? What went on behind the scenes. You love
- 23:28Speaker 3: the book. It's called Love Johnny Carson. Get the book.
- 23:33Speaker 3: So we still didn't find him, Well that's funny, all right.
- 23:38Speaker 3: Well if he doesn't turn up, we'll get him later
- 23:41Speaker 3: in the week. But it's a great book. You know,
- 23:43Speaker 3: if you read this book, it'll, you know, just make
- 23:46Speaker 3: you think about what we're stuck with today. Late Night
- 23:49Speaker 3: you got Stephen Colbert, who is just you know, it's
- 23:52Speaker 3: like a DNC show every night at eleven thirty. It's
- 23:55Speaker 3: kind of an angry, mad kind of a show. And
- 23:58Speaker 3: then Fallon started off, all right, he can be funny
- 24:01Speaker 3: at times, he can be entertaining at times, but it's
- 24:05Speaker 3: just it's not Johnny Carson. It's like it's more like
- 24:09Speaker 3: a game show than Johnny Carson. And then you got Kimmel,
- 24:12Speaker 3: who nobody knows what that is. Half funny, half angry,
- 24:16Speaker 3: just very angry stuff. The Tonight Show was actually created
- 24:19Speaker 3: by Steve Allen in nineteen fifty three fifty four. He
- 24:23Speaker 3: invented the whole thing, and he when the network gave
- 24:26Speaker 3: me the assignment, they thought it would be like the
- 24:28Speaker 3: Today Show. The Today Show was already a big success,
- 24:31Speaker 3: so they wanted to duplicate it, do the same thing
- 24:33Speaker 3: at night, call it the Tonight Show instead of Today.
- 24:36Speaker 3: And they told Steve Allen, you know, you'll do newscasts
- 24:39Speaker 3: on the half hour, you'll do weather reports, you'll do
- 24:43Speaker 3: news and features. He didn't want any of that. He
- 24:45Speaker 3: just decided, I'll come out and I'll tell jokes and
- 24:48Speaker 3: I'll be funny, and I'll have guests come on, and
- 24:50Speaker 3: I'll bring out comedians and singers, and at the end
- 24:53Speaker 3: of the day, people don't want another newscast. They want
- 24:55Speaker 3: to be entertained. So he created the Tonight Show and
- 24:58Speaker 3: was a huge six, huge success, monster success. It became
- 25:02Speaker 3: the hottest thing in TV. Became so big they switched
- 25:05Speaker 3: him to a primetime variety show. Then they bring in
- 25:09Speaker 3: a guy named Jack Parr, who wasn't that well known,
- 25:12Speaker 3: to take over the Tonight Show. And he he's the
- 25:15Speaker 3: guy that created the exact format we used today. He's
- 25:18Speaker 3: the guy that decided to have a desk, a chair,
- 25:21Speaker 3: a couch. He designed the set. It's exactly the same
- 25:24Speaker 3: set still being used today. And he's the guy that
- 25:27Speaker 3: made it little less of a variety entertainment show and
- 25:30Speaker 3: just talk, lots of guests, lots of talk. Carson came
- 25:34Speaker 3: along later. Parr was a huge success, the biggest thing
- 25:39Speaker 3: in television. He had enormous ratings. She couldn't be bigger
- 25:42Speaker 3: than Parr. It was tough for Carson to take over.
- 25:44Speaker 3: He struggled for a year or two. First year or
- 25:47Speaker 3: two were rough. A lot of people didn't know if
- 25:49Speaker 3: he'd make it, but then slowly but surely gradually took off,
- 25:54Speaker 3: became a major, major, major television institution, and stayed thirty years.
- 26:00Speaker 3: It was an incredible thing. Then he left. It was
- 26:04Speaker 3: never the same since Jay Leno was a big step down,
- 26:07Speaker 3: but still a big step up from what we have now.
- 26:11Speaker 3: And a lot of people think at some point these
- 26:15Speaker 3: shows will just go. You know, Colbert is going to
- 26:17Speaker 3: be canceled. He's been canceled. He'll go off the air
- 26:20Speaker 3: in I think it's March or is it May, and
- 26:24Speaker 3: watch carefully. I don't think they'll replace him. There won't
- 26:27Speaker 3: be another talk show. They'll probably they'll run reruns of
- 26:31Speaker 3: a game show. You know, when they took Kimmel off
- 26:32Speaker 3: for three four days, they just put reruns of Celebrity
- 26:36Speaker 3: Family Feud. It got tripled the ratings that kim will get.
- 26:39Speaker 3: So don't think CBS hasn't noticed that, and they're looking
- 26:42Speaker 3: to make major cutbacks, so Fallon goes. When Colbert goes
- 26:48Speaker 3: off the air, you'll see reruns of primetime dramas or
- 26:52Speaker 3: game shows that'll take its place. It'll be down to
- 26:55Speaker 3: two late night shows. Kimmel may pick up the whole
- 26:58Speaker 3: Colbert audience. That might help them. If not, don't be
- 27:02Speaker 3: surprised if he goes. One thing about Jimmy Fallon. If
- 27:06Speaker 3: he's the only one left, he's got the ability to
- 27:10Speaker 3: switch from an angry political show to just a fun
- 27:13Speaker 3: entertainment show. But they don't have the money to do
- 27:16Speaker 3: these shows anymore. You know, I don't know if you
- 27:19Speaker 3: know this, but Colbert Fallon, they're not on five nights
- 27:22Speaker 3: a week. They're really four nights a week, and they
- 27:23Speaker 3: run a rerun the other night. There's big, big cuts
- 27:28Speaker 3: coming to CBS is now owned by sky Dance, and
- 27:33Speaker 3: it's about to happen. Might happen next week, major, major,
- 27:36Speaker 3: major layoffs. Thousands of people will be cut there. It'll
- 27:39Speaker 3: happen at all the networks. A lot of people don't
- 27:42Speaker 3: watch network TV anymore. You know. Network TV's only twenty
- 27:45Speaker 3: five million people watching Network TV. Twenty five million. That's it.
- 27:52Speaker 3: AM talk radio sixty three million. It's a much, much,
- 27:55Speaker 3: much bigger medium. So hey, wait, we didn't find him,
- 27:57Speaker 3: Mark Melcoff didn't turn out. That's funny. But get the book.
- 28:01Speaker 3: It's a great book. It's called Love Johnny Carson. It's
- 28:04Speaker 3: got great pictures in it. Uh, it's everything you every
- 28:07Speaker 3: want to know about that whole era, about Johnny Carson,
- 28:10Speaker 3: all that stuff. And well, should we take some calls. Yeah,
- 28:15Speaker 3: let's take a call or two. Let's go to uh Phil, Phil,
- 28:19Speaker 3: how you doing?
- 28:22Speaker 13: Hello?
- 28:22Speaker 3: Oh it's Phyllis, not Phil. She's listening to the radio.
- 28:28Speaker 7: Hi.
- 28:28Speaker 3: Hi, let me check. Oh, yes it is turn your
- 28:33Speaker 3: radio down before I'm listening to myself.
- 28:42Speaker 14: Before Steve Allan, it was called the Broadway Open House.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Oh, this is a real old timer. You go way back,
- 28:50Speaker 3: well actually two years hill perfect right in our target demo.
- 28:54Speaker 3: That's just what we're looking for. No, that's good. Yeah,
- 28:57Speaker 3: well that was different. Though Broadway Open House was the
- 28:59Speaker 3: first late night show, it wasn't the first tonight show.
- 29:03Speaker 15: And that's when they introduced Dagmar There you go, well,
- 29:06Speaker 15: you go way back.
- 29:08Speaker 14: Yeah, and she appeared at Frank Sinatra at the Paramount.
- 29:11Speaker 3: WHOA, my god. Hey, how about that Eddie Canter?
- 29:13Speaker 15: Huh No, that was my mother's joint.
- 29:17Speaker 8: Man, make it sound old.
- 29:19Speaker 13: All right, thank you very much, love for.
- 29:22Speaker 3: Your show, all right, glad you listened. Thanks for calling
- 29:24Speaker 3: Phyllis ninety two. How about that still going strong? Turns
- 29:29Speaker 3: the radio up pretty loud though, right, that's a loyal listener.
- 29:35Speaker 3: But anyway, the book is called Love, Johnny Carson, get
- 29:39Speaker 3: the book. You will love it. Anyway. We've got a
- 29:42Speaker 3: lot to get to, but we'll find them later in
- 29:44Speaker 3: the week. We'll have the mine anyway. Don't forget Buck
- 29:47Speaker 3: and Clay coming up at noon today. Excellent show every
- 29:50Speaker 3: day twelve noon, three o'clock. You got the most listened
- 29:53Speaker 3: to radio show in America, Sean Hannity. You got Jesse
- 29:57Speaker 3: Kelly at six and Jimmy Fayla great show every night
- 30:00Speaker 3: at nine. Here on seven to ten. Wo R get hiss.
- 30:05Speaker 2: In access to Mark by setting a pre set in
- 30:08Speaker 2: the iHeartRadio app for his live show.
- 30:10Speaker 1: And his podcast. Now back to the Mark Simone Show on.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Woor Well, all right, we heard from I heard from
- 30:20Speaker 3: Mark melcoffee. Got the pime mixed up. I thought it
- 30:23Speaker 3: was next hour. We'll reschedule, we'll figure we'll figure it out.
- 30:28Speaker 3: But hey, it's gonna be nice today. I should be
- 30:31Speaker 3: nice for it rained overnight, so that's it. It's gonna
- 30:33Speaker 3: be nice for the rest of the week now, I
- 30:34Speaker 3: don't forget. Tonight, seven o'clock is the debate. The mayor
- 30:38Speaker 3: Old debate is at seven o'clock. It's on New York One,
- 30:42Speaker 3: which is channel that doesn't have a lot of viewers,
- 30:44Speaker 3: and it's not on every cable system. It's only on Spectrum,
- 30:48Speaker 3: but I'm sure it'll be online. It'll be on YouTube.
- 30:52Speaker 3: You'll be able to watch it. It's an hour and
- 30:53Speaker 3: a half. Last debate was too long. It was two hours.
- 30:56Speaker 3: Nobody could nobody could make it to two hours. But
- 30:59Speaker 3: this will be an hour and a half tonight, seven
- 31:03Speaker 3: to nine thirty. And we'll see what goes viral and
- 31:07Speaker 3: what gets talked about the next day. So that'll be interesting. Hey,
- 31:11Speaker 3: coming up in the next hour, we'll get the hunter Biden.
- 31:13Speaker 3: He's speaking out, big mistake. I don't know what he
- 31:17Speaker 3: thinks he's going to achieve by all of this. And
- 31:19Speaker 3: we'll get back to the mayoral race. We'll get to
- 31:22Speaker 3: President Trump, the Middle East, and a whole lot more.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Remember Kamala Harris, Do you remember her? Kamala Harris? The
- 31:30Speaker 3: DNC quietly paying her another two million they're trying to
- 31:33Speaker 3: pay off. She racked up this huge campaign debt. You know,
- 31:37Speaker 3: it was only one hundred and seven days that campaign.
- 31:40Speaker 3: Somehow she's think about this, one hundred and seven days.
- 31:43Speaker 3: She spent one point five billion, one point five billion
- 31:48Speaker 3: and still ran out of money and is in debt.
- 31:50Speaker 3: Apparently the DNC has already paid about twenty million trying
- 31:54Speaker 3: to pay off her debt, which is a little questionable
- 31:57Speaker 3: for the DNC to pay that. They don't have a
- 31:59Speaker 3: lot of cash on hand, But they gave her another
- 32:01Speaker 3: one point six million yesterday to paying off her debt.
- 32:04Speaker 3: That's a little weird. Anyway, we got a lot to
- 32:06Speaker 3: get to in the next hour. I'm here every day
- 32:09Speaker 3: ten to noon, and if you can't listen ten to noon,
- 32:12Speaker 3: you can listen anytime day, night, just get the podcast
- 32:15Speaker 3: back right after the news on seven to ten WR.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Demark Simone show on seven to Tenryay, well what it
- 32:27Speaker 2: was today?
- 32:28Speaker 3: It's Wednesday already, all right, tonight, I keep reminding you
- 32:30Speaker 3: tonight seven o'clock mayoral debate. Curtis Cuomo, Mom, Donnie, you
- 32:37Speaker 3: know they don't actually even have to let the Cuomo
- 32:39Speaker 3: in the debate. He's a third party candidate, he's not
- 32:42Speaker 3: a major party candidate, but he will be in the
- 32:44Speaker 3: debate this time. They've I guess, tossed a coin or
- 32:47Speaker 3: something on speaking order. Curtis will go first. That's not
- 32:53Speaker 3: a It's more important who goes last. Although I don't
- 32:57Speaker 3: know if everybody will make it to the end of
- 32:58Speaker 3: the debate. But it's tonight now. So the difference is
- 33:00Speaker 3: tonight's debate. The last one was Channel four. It was
- 33:04Speaker 3: done in a TV studio without an audience. Tonight it'll
- 33:07Speaker 3: be a Long Island city with an audience. It's a
- 33:10Speaker 3: college auditorium. They will have an audience, so that can
- 33:14Speaker 3: change the dynamic a little. Curtis very good in front
- 33:17Speaker 3: of an audience. When it comes to being in front
- 33:20Speaker 3: of an audience. For almost a lot of experience, but Mom,
- 33:23Speaker 3: Donnie's not that experienced in front of a live audience.
- 33:26Speaker 3: Curtis the most experienced, does speeches all the time, so
- 33:30Speaker 3: that could help them. Down in Chinatown, a big uproar.
- 33:35Speaker 3: People are all upset because terrible things were happening. Ice
- 33:39Speaker 3: was there arresting illegals and Democrats in New York. When
- 33:44Speaker 3: they see law enforcement enforcing the law, they get all upset.
- 33:48Speaker 3: They do not like that, and apparently they were cracking down. Hey,
- 33:51Speaker 3: I don't know if I like this either. They were
- 33:53Speaker 3: cracking down on the illegal vendors down there in Chinatown.
- 33:56Speaker 3: Those are the ones that sell the fake Louis Vutan,
- 33:58Speaker 3: the fake Gucci. You know, some of that is kind
- 34:01Speaker 3: of useful. I don't know if you want to get
- 34:03Speaker 3: rid of all that. But again, they're they're enforcing the law,
- 34:08Speaker 3: arresting illegals. That's what law enforcement is supposed to do.
- 34:10Speaker 3: But everybody was upset, angry.
- 34:13Speaker 1: What are they doing to our city?
- 34:14Speaker 10: Shot they harass the citizens of New York.
- 34:18Speaker 3: Well, actually where they're doing the city cleaning it up,
- 34:21Speaker 3: enforcing the law, and they weren't going after the citizens
- 34:24Speaker 3: in New York. They were going after illegals. Who broke
- 34:26Speaker 3: into the country who were not citizens. Then you get
- 34:30Speaker 3: this Jamani Williams who shows up. None of this is
- 34:33Speaker 3: about public safety. It is about fear and chaos. Well, yeah,
- 34:39Speaker 3: they are trying to create fear among illegals. That's why
- 34:41Speaker 3: we've had almost two million self deport already. Chaos would
- 34:46Speaker 3: be no border and millions flood into the country illegally,
- 34:50Speaker 3: that would be chaos. But it's Jimani Williams, left wing guy.
- 34:54Speaker 3: These left wing cooks, they hate law enforcement, they hate
- 34:58Speaker 3: enforcing the law. They love ill for all sorts of reasons.
- 35:01Speaker 3: They don't want to see those They do not want
- 35:04Speaker 3: to see the immigration laws enforced. Here's one of the
- 35:06Speaker 3: great kooks of all time, Brad Lander. Angry Brad Lander.
- 35:10Speaker 6: There is no excuse for sending military style vehicles and
- 35:15Speaker 6: a national law enforcement responds for street vendors.
- 35:20Speaker 3: Now, it's right about that. If you look at the
- 35:22Speaker 3: video they are in, uh, it does look like a
- 35:26Speaker 3: big military view. They look like troops in Iraq. The
- 35:29Speaker 3: vehicle looks like that, and the officers are in it
- 35:33Speaker 3: says police on their uniforms and on their vests, but
- 35:36Speaker 3: their military style uniforms, you know, like green combat military
- 35:41Speaker 3: with all the helmets and all this, so they do
- 35:43Speaker 3: look military. But hey, I don't mind it. I mean,
- 35:46Speaker 3: if it's enforcing the law. Remember the riots all over
- 35:49Speaker 3: New York that summer and Cuomo would not send the
- 35:51Speaker 3: National Guard in. That was more frightening than this. So
- 35:55Speaker 3: I don't mind a lot of law enforcement. It's not
- 35:57Speaker 3: a bad thing, but it drives these left wingers crazy. Hey,
- 36:02Speaker 3: in the New Jersey race, it's Chittarelli and Mikey Cheryl,
- 36:06Speaker 3: Mickey Mickey or Mikey whatever her name is, Mikey Cheryl. Okay,
- 36:11Speaker 3: when last time you met a woman named Mikey Mikey Cheryl.
- 36:14Speaker 3: But that's a cute name. But she's having trouble. Chittarelli
- 36:19Speaker 3: has caught up to her in the polls, it's even now,
- 36:22Speaker 3: so she's called in Obama to help. I guess it's
- 36:27Speaker 3: not that important, Obama. It's not worth a trip. He's
- 36:30Speaker 3: not flying in. He's not You're supposed to fly in,
- 36:33Speaker 3: appear with her at the rally, you know, hold her
- 36:35Speaker 3: hand up in your hand to a big speech. You're
- 36:39Speaker 3: supposed to do that. It's not that important, Obama. He's
- 36:43Speaker 3: not flying in for this so instead he made a video.
- 36:47Speaker 3: It's like the guy that won't show up to the
- 36:49Speaker 3: roast or the dinner, so he sends a video. It's
- 36:51Speaker 3: a real cheap easy way, takes five minutes, you don't
- 36:55Speaker 3: have to bother. So he sent a video to endorse her. Now, also,
- 37:00Speaker 3: maybe it's a good thing he didn't fly in because
- 37:02Speaker 3: anytime he would show up in those congressional races all
- 37:05Speaker 3: over the country. Whenever he'd show up and campaigned for
- 37:09Speaker 3: the person and endorse him, they would lose. His track
- 37:11Speaker 3: record was like ninety seven percent of his candidates lost.
- 37:15Speaker 3: So maybe maybe it's helping her. But I don't think
- 37:18Speaker 3: he means much anymore. You know, he's from another era. Hey,
- 37:22Speaker 3: George Santos got pardoned, Well, he didn't get parted, he
- 37:26Speaker 3: got a sentence commuted. He's still convicted, so he's a
- 37:29Speaker 3: free man and he's out and about. But local officials,
- 37:33Speaker 3: local d local officials now talking about indicting him locally
- 37:38Speaker 3: on local charges. Now that could put him back in
- 37:41Speaker 3: jail if he's convicted, and there's nothing President Trump can
- 37:45Speaker 3: do about a local charge. The governor maybe could do something,
- 37:48Speaker 3: but she's not, so he still could be in legal jeopardy.
- 37:53Speaker 3: A couple of people in the prosecutors DA's have talked
- 37:56Speaker 3: about possibly going after him to keep and I on that.
- 38:01Speaker 3: President Trump apparently is being pushed to pardon. Well again,
- 38:05Speaker 3: not pardon, he would be commuting the sentence of p. Diddy,
- 38:09Speaker 3: which would mean still convicted. Everything stands. He just lets
- 38:12Speaker 3: him out of jail, but he served two years. Some say,
- 38:16Speaker 3: well that for what he got convicted of, two years
- 38:18Speaker 3: is enough. I don't know, it'd be a little controversial.
- 38:22Speaker 3: He can't keep commuting everybody's sentence. Although with Trump, you know,
- 38:26Speaker 3: what is it ten to twelve people? With Obama it
- 38:29Speaker 3: was a Biden. It was thirty five hundred pardons. It
- 38:32Speaker 3: was out of control. Hey, another thing he's getting pushed on.
- 38:35Speaker 3: You know, with the tariffs. It's been pretty successful with
- 38:38Speaker 3: the tariffs. It hasn't caused inflation, it hasn't crashed the economy.
- 38:42Speaker 3: All those people got it wrong. But it bothers some people.
- 38:46Speaker 3: And he's talking about a tariff on coffee. That's scaring
- 38:51Speaker 3: a lot of people because coffee is very expensive to
- 38:54Speaker 3: begin with. I don't know why people pale it Like
- 38:57Speaker 3: if you work here at iHeart, you get down the hall.
- 38:59Speaker 3: We got like six coffee machines in the kitchen. It's free.
- 39:03Speaker 3: I don't know why I have to go to Starbucks
- 39:04Speaker 3: and pay eight dollars for something, but people do. And
- 39:07Speaker 3: it's already very expensive in all these coffee places, so
- 39:10Speaker 3: they don't want the price to go up. Now, the
- 39:12Speaker 3: argument against Trump putting tariffs on coffee, and it's a
- 39:17Speaker 3: pretty good argument against it. Though supposedly the reason you
- 39:22Speaker 3: do the tariffs is to help America, so in other words,
- 39:26Speaker 3: instead of importing, people will buy local and it will
- 39:30Speaker 3: shift everything from foreign imports to local sources. But people
- 39:35Speaker 3: are pointing out there's a good point. Ninety nine percent
- 39:38Speaker 3: of coffee is imported. We really don't make coffee here
- 39:40Speaker 3: in the US.
- 39:41Speaker 9: Now.
- 39:42Speaker 3: Maybe we should start, and maybe we could, but we
- 39:45Speaker 3: don't really really. Maybe there's somebody upstate growing their own
- 39:50Speaker 3: coffee or something, but ninety nine percent of it is imported,
- 39:54Speaker 3: so we don't really need those tariffs. Hunter Biden has spoken,
- 40:00Speaker 3: I don't know why. I don't know what her copes
- 40:02Speaker 3: to accomplish, but well, I guess I do. He was
- 40:07Speaker 3: making a fortune under Joe with the influence peddling, getting
- 40:11Speaker 3: millions and millions and millions of dollars from shady companies
- 40:14Speaker 3: in the Ukraine, millions from China, went on, and when
- 40:18Speaker 3: he ran out of that, he started selling these fake
- 40:20Speaker 3: paintings for millions. He made millions on these phony fake paintings,
- 40:26Speaker 3: you know, just a piece of junk, and he'd sell
- 40:28Speaker 3: it for people. Pay you one hundred thousand for his painting,
- 40:31Speaker 3: five hundred thousand. It was a way of giving him
- 40:33Speaker 3: money legally without without it being technically a bribe. It's
- 40:39Speaker 3: an old scheme that was used in the Paola days
- 40:41Speaker 3: and rock and roll. That's probably where he learned it.
- 40:44Speaker 3: But that all stopped. You know, everybody's paying a million
- 40:48Speaker 3: for his painting, five hundred thousand for his painting, fifty
- 40:51Speaker 3: thousand for his pay. He's making a fortune. As soon
- 40:53Speaker 3: as a Joe's out of office, nobody bought a painting.
- 40:56Speaker 3: Ever again, that was the end of Hunter. Everybody else
- 41:00Speaker 3: finding some other way to buy influence. So Hunter Biden
- 41:04Speaker 3: got a pardon from Joe Biden, and speaking out yesterday,
- 41:08Speaker 3: he said it was only because of Donald Trump. He
- 41:09Speaker 3: blames Trump for this. Had Trump not won, I wouldn't
- 41:12Speaker 3: have needed a pardon. But we were so worried about law, fair,
- 41:15Speaker 3: about retribution and all this his revenge tour. Hunter says
- 41:20Speaker 3: it was clear he was going to conduct a revenge tour.
- 41:23Speaker 3: That's the only reason I needed a pardon. Well, the
- 41:26Speaker 3: other reason he's probably guilty of everything. They probably it
- 41:29Speaker 3: could be a retribution, revenge tour. But the point is
- 41:32Speaker 3: you're actually guilty. You know, Comie's going to have a problem.
- 41:35Speaker 3: John Bolton clearly has a problem. They've got him dead
- 41:38Speaker 3: to rights. I mean, there's almost no way out of
- 41:41Speaker 3: a conviction for John Bolton, and it looks like Clapper
- 41:44Speaker 3: will be next. Oh no, excuse me, Brennan. Clapper is
- 41:47Speaker 3: probably down the road. John Brennan, former CIA director, very
- 41:52Speaker 3: very shady guy who was caught up in the Russia hoax.
- 41:56Speaker 3: He was, I mean, just disgusting what he did trying
- 42:00Speaker 3: to get Trump. CIA director John Brennan. So he testified
- 42:06Speaker 3: before a Congressional committee, the Judiciary Committee. They have now
- 42:10Speaker 3: referred him to the Justice Department for criminal prosecution. As
- 42:16Speaker 3: the chairman pointed out, Brennan made numerous willfully intentionally false
- 42:21Speaker 3: statements of material fact contradicted by the record established by
- 42:26Speaker 3: the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence he made, according
- 42:30Speaker 3: to Jordan, made false statements before Congress. It's a crime
- 42:34Speaker 3: that people have convicted for, so they could have Brennan
- 42:39Speaker 3: here convicted. Now you could say, well, it's retribution. It
- 42:44Speaker 3: could be, but if you're guilty, you're guilty. If you
- 42:47Speaker 3: did it, it's also justice at the same time. And
- 42:51Speaker 3: remember law fair is when you get indicted in four
- 42:53Speaker 3: cities at the same time, like Donald Trump, that's law fair. Hey,
- 42:59Speaker 3: in Israel, you've got Wick Cough, You've got Jared Kushner,
- 43:04Speaker 3: You've got Vice President Vance over there trying to settle
- 43:08Speaker 3: this thing, trying to keep it calm. Looks like Marco
- 43:10Speaker 3: Rubio will head over there tomorrow. It's going to take
- 43:13Speaker 3: four people now to keep netanyahukm keep everything on track.
- 43:18Speaker 3: But video released yesterday shows things going on in Gaza,
- 43:24Speaker 3: Hamas torturing, executing Palestinians that were just begging for relief.
- 43:31Speaker 3: Footage shows Hamas gunman shooting Palestinians in the street. First
- 43:39Speaker 3: they've badly beaten man. They beat this guy so badly,
- 43:43Speaker 3: then shot him in the leg and the Torso this
- 43:45Speaker 3: video of all this, and there's a second one who
- 43:48Speaker 3: breaks down crying. A terrorist Hamas then shoots him. Israel
- 43:54Speaker 3: putting out this video that they got a hold of,
- 43:56Speaker 3: saying to the media, we call on all media outlets
- 44:00Speaker 3: to give appropriate coverage to this. You've shown every other
- 44:04Speaker 3: kind of footage, show this footage. Responsible journalism should shine
- 44:09Speaker 3: a light on this problem and do something about it.
- 44:14Speaker 3: If Israel's counting on the media in America to be fair,
- 44:17Speaker 3: that's not a good thing. It's not going to work. Hey,
- 44:22Speaker 3: there's a Democrat running in Nassau County for District attorney,
- 44:25Speaker 3: so they ran commercials tying her to Zoron Mom Donnie.
- 44:30Speaker 3: She's now threatening to sue the Republican Party. That's how
- 44:35Speaker 3: bad things are for this. Mom Donnie, a Democrat candidate,
- 44:40Speaker 3: is suing the GOP for trying to connect her to
- 44:43Speaker 3: Zoron Mom Donnie. She said it's completely fabricated, false, defamatory.
- 44:48Speaker 3: She wants nothing to do with Mom Donnie. She wants
- 44:51Speaker 3: no connection to Mom Donnie and is willing to sue
- 44:55Speaker 3: over it. Hey, they had a big they call it
- 44:59Speaker 3: the Rose Garden. This is the beautiful new Rose Garden terrace.
- 45:02Speaker 3: It's enormous with tables and chairs. It's one of the
- 45:06Speaker 3: most beautiful outdoor dining places in the world. And yesterday
- 45:10Speaker 3: President Trump invited a lot of the Senate for lunch,
- 45:13Speaker 3: special Senate lunch. He made a big speech to all
- 45:17Speaker 3: of them, but everybody noticed he didn't invite ran Paul.
- 45:20Speaker 3: He was left out of the group. And in fact,
- 45:24Speaker 3: during a Trump's speech he talked about some of the
- 45:26Speaker 3: achievements the Republican Party made while also throwing in again
- 45:30Speaker 3: and ran Paul didn't vote for this, so they had
- 45:33Speaker 3: been friendly for a while, but apparently that's over a
- 45:37Speaker 3: lot of tension now between between ran Paul and Trump.
- 45:41Speaker 3: And he was Snubb not invited to the luncheon. So anyway,
- 45:45Speaker 3: don't forget Tonight's the debate seven o'clock. I have no
- 45:49Speaker 3: idea what Curtis will bring him, but you know, he
- 45:51Speaker 3: could bring up the fact that Cuomo's not really in
- 45:53Speaker 3: the campaign. Cuomos still hasn't opened a campaign headquarters, he's
- 45:57Speaker 3: not actively campaigning anywhere. He does some TV, but that's
- 46:00Speaker 3: about it. Curtis is in every neighborhood every week, and
- 46:06Speaker 3: reporters noted said to Cuomo, you know, you don't seem
- 46:09Speaker 3: to be out there on the campaign trail. You're not
- 46:12Speaker 3: working in the neighborhoods. He didn't really respond to anything,
- 46:16Speaker 3: but hey, we'll take some calls in a minute. Eight
- 46:18Speaker 3: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 46:22Speaker 3: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Now more, Mark Simone on sevento.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to uh Tony
- 46:34Speaker 3: in Westchester, Tony.
- 46:35Speaker 1: How you doing great?
- 46:38Speaker 8: Mark?
- 46:39Speaker 14: I don't understand something, and I think you you'll say
- 46:42Speaker 14: it best is you know, if Trump was lost there,
- 46:46Speaker 14: he would have put Hillary in prison, you know, ten
- 46:50Speaker 14: years ago. And then Obama comes out and as all
- 46:53Speaker 14: the Democrats do and say it's law there and Trump
- 46:58Speaker 14: getting his revenge. He needs to clean up the DJ
- 47:01Speaker 14: and that's what he's doing, isn't he.
- 47:03Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, definitely. It's a good point. You know, when
- 47:07Speaker 3: it came to Hillary, he's not a vengeful guy. He's
- 47:09Speaker 3: not a guy who gets retribution. This is not him.
- 47:12Speaker 3: He never does that. But some people thought after that
- 47:16Speaker 3: first term was over, y know, you didn't do enough
- 47:18Speaker 3: to stop these people. Maybe you should have gone after Hillary.
- 47:20Speaker 3: And then this was different what they did to him
- 47:22Speaker 3: and his family. This was total out of control, law fair.
- 47:26Speaker 3: It was imagine being on trial in four cities at
- 47:29Speaker 3: the same time. It was just ridiculous. So and you
- 47:32Speaker 3: look back at that Russia hoax. What a crazy, insane
- 47:35Speaker 3: thing they tried to pull. So you got to make
- 47:37Speaker 3: sure that doesn't happen again. And again Trump's style is
- 47:40Speaker 3: to let it go. But you got to do something.
- 47:43Speaker 3: You got to create a deterrent so nobody pulls that
- 47:45Speaker 3: crap again. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how
- 47:49Speaker 3: you doing, Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well. Thank you.
- 47:52Speaker 13: Mark.
- 47:53Speaker 16: I have two questions about Madami.
- 47:55Speaker 11: Please.
- 47:56Speaker 16: First of all, if you're the president of the United States,
- 47:58Speaker 16: you have to be a natural born citizen. Why doesn't
- 48:01Speaker 16: this law apply for mayor of New York or any
- 48:04Speaker 16: other major city? And the last question is have we
- 48:08Speaker 16: ever learned the results of the investigation into his wealth?
- 48:12Speaker 3: Well, it's coming, it's coming. But the first question, Yeah,
- 48:15Speaker 3: that's just the way the founding fathers did it. You
- 48:17Speaker 3: only have to be born here to be president. I
- 48:19Speaker 3: guess that's because you're conducting foreign policy and we could
- 48:24Speaker 3: be at war with the country you're from. I guess
- 48:26Speaker 3: that's the reason. In the case of a mayor or
- 48:28Speaker 3: a governor, you're not dealing with foreign policy, so you
- 48:30Speaker 3: don't have to have been born in the country. Schwarzenegger
- 48:33Speaker 3: was governor California, wasn't born here. A lot of examples.
- 48:37Speaker 3: The difference with Mam Donnie. You know, Schwarzeger had been
- 48:39Speaker 3: here for a long time. Mam Donnie came to this
- 48:41Speaker 3: country like twelve minutes ago and only recently became a citizen.
- 48:45Speaker 3: So it's a little odd. Let's go to Shelley, Rockland County. Shelley,
- 48:50Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 48:52Speaker 15: Hi, pleasure to speak to you. I'm concerned about exception tampering.
- 48:58Speaker 15: We don't want to take away any vote. It's one
- 49:00Speaker 15: of the only good righteous camp Some elect and I
- 49:03Speaker 15: have a ceiling that there's going to be some election Tampa.
- 49:06Speaker 3: Well, yeah, yeah, I remember it's New York City. There's
- 49:09Speaker 3: always been election fraud in New York City. Even the
- 49:12Speaker 3: Democrats will admit that to you privately. It's always been
- 49:16Speaker 3: that way, especially Manhattan. They do some funny business sometimes.
- 49:20Speaker 3: But the expert that campaign people will tell you though,
- 49:24Speaker 3: even the fraud, if you're lucky, it's only five to
- 49:26Speaker 3: seven percent, but it means you got to win by
- 49:28Speaker 3: a lot more. There are people saying we should also,
- 49:32Speaker 3: you got a lot of illegals voting. There are people
- 49:35Speaker 3: saying an ice officer should be at every balling place
- 49:39Speaker 3: just to keep things clean. That might be a good idea.
- 49:42Speaker 3: Let's go to Mark and Brooklyn. Mark, how you doing?
- 49:45Speaker 7: Yes? Sorry, good morning, walk?
- 49:46Speaker 3: How are you good?
- 49:47Speaker 7: Good? I was going to guess I wanted to make
- 49:50Speaker 7: a couple of comments, and then a suggestion.
- 49:53Speaker 3: You can't come in with a whole playlist. How about
- 49:55Speaker 3: it one college. We'll see if we want to continue.
- 49:57Speaker 7: All right, there's a fine line between ideologies aggotism and
- 50:01Speaker 7: from what I see you though, I would strongly support Courtseye.
- 50:05Speaker 7: What these numbers are just not there?
- 50:07Speaker 3: So how do you know what?
- 50:09Speaker 7: Well, if you look at the percentage states pulling in percentage.
- 50:13Speaker 3: How do you know? How do you know what the
- 50:14Speaker 3: numbers are?
- 50:15Speaker 7: Well, they're on the radio and on TV.
- 50:18Speaker 3: I know. But you're quoting this poll from Monday, which
- 50:21Speaker 3: was actually done by Cuomo people, and it's a polling
- 50:23Speaker 3: company I never heard of, and again done by Cuomo people.
- 50:27Speaker 3: I wouldn't take it too seriously. I wouldn't trust that
- 50:30Speaker 3: poll at all. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent,
- 50:33Speaker 3: how you doing.
- 50:34Speaker 11: I'm doing good market. Yesterday I asked the woman's comment
- 50:38Speaker 11: about illegals and your comment bottle. They busted twenty four
- 50:43Speaker 11: hundred dollars in Texas. They found that twenty four hundred
- 50:46Speaker 11: illegals actually voted, and they're calling for other states to
- 50:51Speaker 11: look into their electoral records to see if it's going
- 50:56Speaker 11: on there. You know, Mondami goes around his big freighter
- 51:00Speaker 11: and his big word is affordability. Well, please let me
- 51:04Speaker 11: remind all New York is, as Ronald Reagan said, government
- 51:10Speaker 11: is not the solution. Government is the problem, the reason
- 51:15Speaker 11: why it is so expensive to live in New York
- 51:18Speaker 11: City and New York State these days. Also Jersey Is,
- 51:22Speaker 11: for example. Look on your either landline phone bill or
- 51:27Speaker 11: your cell bill. There's all these charges, nickel and dime
- 51:31Speaker 11: charges for things you've never even heard of. Now, what
- 51:35Speaker 11: the city has did. They've notified all the landlords and
- 51:38Speaker 11: the co op managers recently that we have to have
- 51:43Speaker 11: lead paint inspections in our apartments. And they're very, very pricey.
- 51:50Speaker 11: I've been going around getting estimates. Here's another example. Last week,
- 51:55Speaker 11: the city council, these boneheads who've never ran even a
- 51:58Speaker 11: lemonade stand pass the law that when you have a
- 52:02Speaker 11: new stove installed in an apartment, you have to have
- 52:07Speaker 11: a master plumber come, not even a regular plumber, a
- 52:12Speaker 11: master plumber come and install that stove. A master plumber
- 52:18Speaker 11: you're talking about, just to walk in the door anywhere
- 52:21Speaker 11: from two point fifty to five hundred dollars to do
- 52:25Speaker 11: five or five minutes work in years pasted it. I've
- 52:28Speaker 11: had this experience. If you had the new stove delivered
- 52:32Speaker 11: to the apartment in question, the gas company would gladly
- 52:36Speaker 11: send around a technician to hook it up and to
- 52:40Speaker 11: test it. In five minutes. It's done. Now you can't
- 52:44Speaker 11: do it. And who they're going to pass that price?
- 52:47Speaker 11: I know I am. I'm gonna pass it on to
- 52:50Speaker 11: the tenants. You want that new stove, you're gonna have.
- 52:54Speaker 3: That's a good point. Good point, Vincent, thanks for calling you.
- 52:57Speaker 3: That affordability crisis, A lot of it caused by Democrats
- 53:00Speaker 3: with over regulation on apartments and buildings and everything. Anyway, Well, hey,
- 53:05Speaker 3: when we come back and Culture we'll be with us.
- 53:07Speaker 3: Next we'll talk to her about ice, the meyrill erase,
- 53:10Speaker 3: no kings, all sorts of stuff coming up on seven
- 53:12Speaker 3: to ten, wo.
- 53:13Speaker 1: R, Mark Simon.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Wr Well and Culture the best selling offer of the
- 53:22Speaker 3: great column. Let's make sure you follow her at Twitter
- 53:24Speaker 3: and even better as substack because on subjects she's got columns, podcasts, videos, interviews,
- 53:30Speaker 3: all sorts of stuff. Just go to and Culture dot
- 53:33Speaker 3: substack dot com and culture.
- 53:35Speaker 6: How you doing fantastic? How are you? Mark Simon?
- 53:39Speaker 3: Good?
- 53:39Speaker 2: No?
- 53:40Speaker 3: Did I see you marching in that No Kings thing
- 53:42Speaker 3: on Saturday?
- 53:44Speaker 6: Uh? No, I would have brought the average age down
- 53:48Speaker 6: and I can buy about thirty years.
- 53:51Speaker 3: Yeah, it did look like Halloween at the Senior Center,
- 53:54Speaker 3: didn't it.
- 53:55Speaker 6: Yeah. It's very weird that these I mean, this has
- 53:59Speaker 6: got to be like the Bill Clinton generation and they
- 54:02Speaker 6: really think it's the Summer of love and they get
- 54:04Speaker 6: to have re sex and they're young and good looking,
- 54:07Speaker 6: and boy they aren't. Oh that that ship has sales.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it was more like the Eugene McCarthy generation,
- 54:14Speaker 3: the George McGovern generation.
- 54:16Speaker 6: So hey, the Charles Manson generation.
- 54:21Speaker 3: Yeah. Today, yesterday in Chinatown Ice rated they were resting illegals,
- 54:27Speaker 3: illegal vendors, and the Democrats were up in arms protesting.
- 54:33Speaker 3: Now is that a good idea? You know, those illegal
- 54:35Speaker 3: vendors in Chinatown. That's where you get the counterfeit Gucci
- 54:38Speaker 3: and Louis Vuitton. And do we really want to eliminate that?
- 54:43Speaker 3: We kind of like that.
- 54:44Speaker 6: I would think that more people would be sympathetic to
- 54:47Speaker 6: keeping that than keeping many many other places alleged illegals go.
- 54:56Speaker 6: But I do think it's a little bit different than
- 55:00Speaker 6: traditional Canal street vendors they have they have storefronts, so
- 55:05Speaker 6: I don't even know that they're they're illegal. The new
- 55:08Speaker 6: push I gather was from the African selling stuff on
- 55:12Speaker 6: the street, and I do think that that is quite
- 55:15Speaker 6: different than having a storefront that that does start to
- 55:18Speaker 6: look like a very peasant third world country where people
- 55:21Speaker 6: just throw blankets on the ground and hawk their goods. No,
- 55:26Speaker 6: I got a storefront, and to have a storefront, I mean,
- 55:29Speaker 6: I think they're Koreans. The Koreans there. They're probably legal.
- 55:35Speaker 3: Yeah, but you know those storefronts in China Town. When
- 55:37Speaker 3: you buy that stuff, you got a whisper and then
- 55:38Speaker 3: they whisper it back to you and then they take
- 55:40Speaker 3: you down in the base.
- 55:41Speaker 6: I'm not saying the goods are legal, oh okay, but
- 55:45Speaker 6: this was an ice ray. They're supposed to be looking
- 55:48Speaker 6: for the illegal immigrants, not the knockoff Gucci bag.
- 55:51Speaker 3: Yeah. So yeah, just make sure that you're legal and
- 55:56Speaker 3: you can sell it ulle part that's Scucci's problem. We'll
- 56:01Speaker 3: let them worry about it, right. Hey, this White House demolition,
- 56:07Speaker 3: it's happened before a million times with other presents. Why
- 56:10Speaker 3: did theo Why did these Democrats get themselves so outrage
- 56:14Speaker 3: they're talking about desecration of the White House from adding
- 56:17Speaker 3: a ballroom.
- 56:19Speaker 12: No.
- 56:19Speaker 6: Also, I like democrats pretending that they care about desecration
- 56:24Speaker 6: after years of them ripping down centuries old American history,
- 56:30Speaker 6: all of the monuments anyone, anyone in American history who
- 56:36Speaker 6: held a slave or did not denounce slavery, which would
- 56:40Speaker 6: be you know, everyone on the face of the earth,
- 56:43Speaker 6: since slavery existed in every country, every place. And guess what,
- 56:46Speaker 6: it still exists today, Mark Simone, principally in sub Sahara, Africa.
- 56:52Speaker 6: But no one will will point that out. Perhaps we
- 56:55Speaker 6: should cut off their funding, but no, this is what
- 56:58Speaker 6: I mean. All the Black Lives Matter pro tests, the
- 57:01Speaker 6: ripping down of history, the replacing portraits at universities, you know,
- 57:05Speaker 6: the science room, it has all their Nobel Prize winners. Nope,
- 57:09Speaker 6: got to take those portraits down because they're all white males.
- 57:13Speaker 6: So yeah, don't don't. Oh the orson arson and mostly
- 57:16Speaker 6: peaceful protests. Do not talk to me about desecration.
- 57:20Speaker 3: Yeah, so if you could get rid of anything that
- 57:22Speaker 3: had a racist past, wouldn't you have to get rid
- 57:25Speaker 3: of the Democratic Party? Since?
- 57:28Speaker 6: Oh yes, let's start there. That's a fine idea.
- 57:34Speaker 3: Hey, tonight is the final mayoral debate, seven o'clock tonight.
- 57:38Speaker 3: What do you think can we stop? Mom? Donnie?
- 57:42Speaker 6: No, no, no. The only shot ever, and even that
- 57:46Speaker 6: was a long shot, was was Adams that that is
- 57:49Speaker 6: a pure generic choice what you have now versus something
- 57:53Speaker 6: much worse. There are so many reasons to hate Cuombo.
- 57:56Speaker 6: I really, I've never thought he has a chance. Many
- 58:00Speaker 6: people hate him for many different reasons. I mean, maybe
- 58:02Speaker 6: these are the famous last words. I don't think it's
- 58:04Speaker 6: going to be a day at the beach if he
- 58:06Speaker 6: wins anyway, And I guess all we can hope for is,
- 58:11Speaker 6: I mean, New York City will get worse. The main
- 58:13Speaker 6: thing mom Dommy can do is make crime even worse
- 58:18Speaker 6: than it is now, which seems kind of hard to believe.
- 58:23Speaker 6: But a lot of the things he's promising he can't do.
- 58:26Speaker 6: Will he will have children of fours. He's definitely gonna
- 58:28Speaker 6: help wealthy landlords with non rent stabilized apartments. If he
- 58:34Speaker 6: freezes rents as he claims he will on the one
- 58:37Speaker 6: third of rental apartments that are in New York City
- 58:41Speaker 6: that are rent stabilized, that just makes the non rent
- 58:44Speaker 6: stabilized apartments more valuable, so those landlords can increase the
- 58:50Speaker 6: rent through the roof. There's a limited supply thanks to
- 58:55Speaker 6: mom dommy, So he will he will be helping people
- 58:57Speaker 6: well like himself. It is absolutely outrageous, and it was
- 59:02Speaker 6: so glib and flippant to say, oh, you know, Cuomo
- 59:06Speaker 6: thinks that he can he can solve the affordability crisis
- 59:10Speaker 6: by raising my and my wife's rent. No, the point
- 59:15Speaker 6: is he's rich living in a rent controlled apartment that's
- 59:20Speaker 6: supposed to be to help low and middle income New Yorkers,
- 59:24Speaker 6: not rich New Yorkers. But of course rent control is
- 59:28Speaker 6: there is no income qualification in New York for rent
- 59:32Speaker 6: controled apartments. So a few years ago, recent magazine did
- 59:35Speaker 6: an investigation and looked up all these New Yorkers Manhattan nights,
- 59:41Speaker 6: paying nine hundred dollars a month, three bedroom apartments. Meanwhile,
- 59:44Speaker 6: they have two million dollar homes in East Hampton.
- 59:47Speaker 3: Yeah, if we had real press, actual real legitimate media,
- 59:53Speaker 3: so everything would be different. You know, they might keep
- 59:55Speaker 3: pointing out Democrats have controlled every inch in New York
- 59:58Speaker 3: for fifteen years, the legislature, city council, governor, mayor fifteen
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: years of this. If we have such an affordability crisis,
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: wouldn't make sense to get rid of the Democrats since
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: they it's their affordability crisis they've caused.
- 1:00:12Speaker 6: No, of course, you're absolutely right. Every time I fly
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: into any New York airport, I think about this. They
- 1:00:18Speaker 6: are such complete disasters. I mean the scaffolding all over
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: New York. How long it takes to get anything done,
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: anything built. And there is a theory why did the
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: Access Powers after World War Two? Why did they become
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: economic juggernauts While Britain, the leader of the war until
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: we stepped in against Hitler, became known as the sick
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: man of Europe. Their economy has just steadily declined since
- 1:00:46Speaker 6: World War Two. And the argument is, after a while,
- 1:00:51Speaker 6: in any society, a country in this case, a city
- 1:00:54Speaker 6: special interests becomes so entrenched, it becomes like scoliosis. You
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: can't change, you can't move, and you need to just
- 1:01:02Speaker 6: destroy it and start from scratch, which luckily in a
- 1:01:06Speaker 6: way happened to Germany and Japan. And I don't know
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: how New York ever gets out of this. It just
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: seems like an endless downwards cycle. I suppose, you know,
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: start voting Republican and you can at least get rid
- 1:01:18Speaker 6: of the entrenched interests and massive corruption that runs this
- 1:01:23Speaker 6: city so that nothing can ever get done and the
- 1:01:26Speaker 6: entire infrastructure is falling apart.
- 1:01:28Speaker 3: Yeah, that's another thing to remember. In fifteen days, thirteen days,
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: when the election happens, get rid of Alvin Bragg, put
- 1:01:35Speaker 3: in the Republican DA, vote for every Republican on the
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: city council. Change the city council. That could make a difference.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: But we only got like a minute left. We got
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: through eight years at the Blasio. We could get through Mamdani, can't.
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: We Well, what's great about the city remains great as
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: the people in the private industries. But yes, I agree
- 1:01:54Speaker 6: with you. People have got to get over forget about
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: associating those of you who hate the Republicans. Everything you
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: hate about the Republican Party. This ought to be just
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: an anti corruption vote, just to shake things up. Vote
- 1:02:08Speaker 6: whether now we're in the next election or the next one,
- 1:02:10Speaker 6: just keep voting Republican in a place like New York
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: to shake things up if you ever want the bad
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: things about it to change.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Yeah, good point. Well, everybody follow and culture on Twitter. Hey,
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: make sure you follow on substacks. You got a lot
- 1:02:22Speaker 3: of stuff up there, interviews, podcast videos, all sorts of
- 1:02:24Speaker 3: things and culter dot substack dot com. Great stuff and Culter.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: Thanks for being with us.
- 1:02:31Speaker 6: Good to talk to you.
- 1:02:32Speaker 8: Mark Simone, Bye bye, take care.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: Hey, now, don't forget tonight seven o'clock Final Debate. It's
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: on New York One. Now a lot of cable systems
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: don't get New York one. But I'm sure it'll be
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: online on YouTube. You'll be able to watch it online.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: Final Debate tonight, seven o'clock until eight thirty. It's a
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: ninety minute debate. Unfortunately, you got Errol Lewis, nice, very
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: nice guy, but the most slanted bias left wing guy
- 1:03:02Speaker 3: in the world as the moderator. That shouldn't be happening,
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: but it will, But it's tonight that's the final debate,
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: and then early voting starts Saturday. That's right, in three
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: days people begin voting in the mayoral race. Hey, don't
- 1:03:17Speaker 3: forget Buck and Clay, they'll be here next right after
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: the twelve o'clock news with a great show on seven
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: to ten, wor set up.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: Re said on the iHeartRadio app to WOOR to hear
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Mark live.
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Set another for Mark's podcast, to hear him anytime.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Now back to Mark Simone on WOOR.
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: Well, let's see New York Post website, big new top story.
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Curtis Lee what quits radio gig? In on air shouting match,
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: Curtis says, you'll never go back to WABC. Well, listen,
- 1:03:53Speaker 3: this is in the heat of the moment. Things calm down.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: You never know that can be patched up. I had
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: a place for him here, but again it's just an
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: he's and I understand his anger. Everybody telling him to
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: get out of the race. It's insane. People should be
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: telling Cuomo to get out of the race. No point
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: in talking about it now. The most important thing is
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: tonight's debate. That's the final chapter of this campaign. Well,
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: there's another week after this, but if it's going to
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: turn around, it would probably have to be tonight Merril
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Debates seven o'clock to eight thirty. It's on New York One.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: Most people can't get that. It'll be on YouTube, it'll
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: be online, look for it anyway. I'll be back tomorrow.
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: We'll go over the debate, we'll analyze it, we'll break
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: it all down. Tomorrow. I'll be here ten to noon.
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: Don't go away. Buck and Clay are coming up next
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: with an excellent show. And remember, if you can't listen
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: to this show from ten to noon, you can listen
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: to it anytime you want afternoon night, whenever you want
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: to hear the show, just get the podcast wherever you
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: get podcasts. So I'll see you tomorrow at ten. Have
- 1:05:00Speaker 3: a great day. Seven ten wo r
