- 0:00SPEAKER_00: When I was five, the first day on the school bus, I get on.
- 0:02SPEAKER_00: The older boys call me fat and ugly, and then the whole bus is making fun of me.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: And that was a moment that just crushed my soul.
- 0:07SPEAKER_00: And I took that fat, ugly identity on for the next 20 years of my life.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: The low point moment was really eating out of my garbage can.
- 0:13SPEAKER_00: It was to the point where I was so addicted to food that I would throw it away and go, oh, well, that's just embarrassing.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: I would never eat out of my garbage can.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: But one night I did.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: The more stressed our nervous system, the more we're usually in negative thoughts-limiting beliefs because we feel spread too thin, our fuse is really short, we become more reactive, more negative toward ourselves and others, and our frequencies often lower.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: Welcome to Reclaiming Consciousness.
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: My name is Elise Bassine, spiritual mentor, breathwork practitioner, and owner and CEO of Elise Breeds.
- 0:43SPEAKER_02: For many years, our consciousness has been hijacked by societal and cultural programming, religion, the media, and familial and ancestral trauma.
- 0:52SPEAKER_02: Right now, during this epic time in history, people are waking up, realizing who they really are, and reclaiming the pieces of their consciousness that they unknowingly gave away.
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: This podcast is an exploration of how so many spectacular humans are leading the way in exiting the matrix and reclaiming who they really are and what they're capable of.
- 1:15SPEAKER_02: In this show, you'll meet exceptional people who are paving the way in raising consciousness and creating a new way of living on this earth.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: Get ready to go deep.
- 1:24SPEAKER_02: Now let's dive in.
- 1:31SPEAKER_02: Hi everyone, welcome back to the show.
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: So this week I have a really awesome guest.
- 1:37SPEAKER_02: And it's been a little while since I've had a guest like this, but I really resonated with her work, and we have a really powerful conversation about recovering from food issues and ancestral trauma.
- 1:51SPEAKER_02: And those are obviously two things that are really important to me as like the catalyst for me going down my spiritual path was an eating disorder.
- 2:01SPEAKER_02: So I really resonate with her work.
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: Her name is Amber, and you're really gonna love this conversation.
- 2:08SPEAKER_02: She talks about her journey with binge eating.
- 2:12SPEAKER_02: And now she coaches women to heal from issues with food.
- 2:17SPEAKER_02: And she really uses this very holistic lens and looks at it through the lens of ancestral trauma, which I think is really cool.
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: And we just talk about a lot of different stuff.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: So you're gonna love this conversation.
- 2:31SPEAKER_02: And as always, don't forget to rate and review the show.
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: If you have not reviewed the show yet, send me a screenshot of your review before you hit send.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: And the reason why I have you do that is because sometimes they don't show up right away.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: So take a screenshot before you send the review and send it to me, and we will send you a$250 credit that you can apply to anything in my world.
- 2:57SPEAKER_02: And actually, that is a great thing to do to come into Breathwork, Money, and Receiving, because Breathwork Money and Receiving is only 333.
- 3:06SPEAKER_02: So it's like almost free for you to come into Breathwork, Money and Receiving if you get the$250 credit.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: So I highly recommend doing that because it's such a great way to come into the program for, you know, a very minimal cost.
- 3:25SPEAKER_02: And if you have not heard about Breathwork, Money and Receiving yet, it is a two-day training where I share my teachings around the new paradigm of receiving and you know what we think receiving is versus what it actually is and how to get yourself into the energy of becoming the receiver.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: So I have the two trainings that you will receive that also include a guided breathwork session.
- 3:54SPEAKER_02: When you sign up, you'll receive the two audio recordings with my teachings and my uh guided breathwork.
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: And then starting on Monday, February 12th, we're gonna be doing a seven-day Voxer broadcast where I'm gonna be popping in every single day, giving you new teachings and downloads around what it really means to become the receiver and start to interact with reality and yourself completely differently, so that receiving all that's meant for you becomes really easy.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: I talk about this more in the last episode.
- 4:30SPEAKER_02: I think I went really deep into talking about where I got this information from and what it means.
- 4:36SPEAKER_02: So I'm not gonna go too deep into it.
- 4:37SPEAKER_02: But if you are interested in dipping your toe into my work and experiencing my breath work and my teachings around these concepts that we know about, but I'm giving you this new lens, this new spin on it that is very easily integrated and applicable so that you can get tangible results quickly.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: And I just love doing these Voxer broadcasts because I get downloads and I share them with you.
- 5:05SPEAKER_02: And that's the most potent way for me to teach.
- 5:08SPEAKER_02: Like when I did the sacred money mine last November, it was so powerful because I would wake up in the morning or in the middle of the night.
- 5:16SPEAKER_02: The guides would show me, like, this is what you need to talk about.
- 5:20SPEAKER_02: And I would pop in, I would talk about it, and it moved so much energy for people.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: There was so much that came through that even blew me away.
- 5:29SPEAKER_02: And I know that this broadcast is gonna be similar.
- 5:32SPEAKER_02: So it's gonna be starting Monday, every day for seven days.
- 5:36SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna be in there sharing teachings, downloads, wisdom that's come through all around how to become the receiver in your own life and be open to everything that's meant for you instead of living in a contracted state where it's really hard for you to open up to the things that are trying to come through.
- 5:56SPEAKER_02: So that's breastwork, money, and receiving.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: Like I said, you can apply your$250 credit to that when you review the show.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: So don't forget to reach out to us about that and we'll get you set up.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: Also, the certification is starting this week, but I am enrolling people until the end of the month.
- 6:15SPEAKER_02: So you have until the end of the month to come in to the certification.
- 6:20SPEAKER_02: And I know there's been people reaching out to me about it.
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: And I know I have some, I'm talking to some people about it now.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: So I am leaving it open because I do know this is a really big decision.
- 6:30SPEAKER_02: Essentially, this is like going back to school and getting a degree because that's that's the level of information that's in here.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: And I don't say that to overwhelm you.
- 6:39SPEAKER_02: I say that so you understand the depth, the quality, the seriousness, and, you know, just like what this actually is.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: So my certification, the metamorphosis method, I teach you my methodology to create transformation with your clients, which includes breath work to clear things on the level of the body, energy work to clear things on an emotional and energetic level, and then my trauma clearing tools, which clears it on the level of the intellect or the mind.
- 7:09SPEAKER_02: So it is a very well-rounded process that works.
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: And if you are a healer or a coach and you want to be able to create predictable, tangible results with your clients, this is for you.
- 7:23SPEAKER_02: Because one of the things, regardless of like content sales, marketing, any of that, in order to grow a business, you want to be known for your results, right?
- 7:34SPEAKER_02: And that is really how I've built my business.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: And I've, you know, maintained multi-six figures every year.
- 7:40SPEAKER_02: And it has been mostly through being known for the results that my clients get in my world and also my very predictable, tangible process that I can teach, which is the metamorphosis method.
- 7:52SPEAKER_02: And the great thing about learning my methodology is that it gives you such a solid foundation that you can bring into your work that you then add your own magic to it so that you attract people align with your frequency, but you have a really foundational solid skill set to create transformation with people.
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: And, you know, this comes from my history as a breath worker for 23 years, being in the healing space, but also being a mental health professional, working with traumatized children in schools in the inner city for 10 years.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: These trauma tools really come from my experience and obviously also my gifts, right?
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: Because I can see trauma at the deepest level and I show you how to do that.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: But it really comes from the experience that I've had as a mental health professional.
- 8:45SPEAKER_02: And that's really like what kind of stands out is what I'm bringing to the space is this is not just like a healing method.
- 8:53SPEAKER_02: This is not just about doing breath work with people.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: It's about so much more.
- 8:58SPEAKER_02: And the breath work piece is incredibly important.
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: And I have my very own unique spin on it that's going to be different than anything else you'll see out there, mainly because of my depth of experience.
- 9:08SPEAKER_02: But also we're bringing this trauma piece along with the energy work piece.
- 9:14SPEAKER_02: So we're clearing things on multiple levels.
- 9:17SPEAKER_02: And that's really the way that we create a lasting transformation with people is by addressing things on the level of the body, the mind, and the energy field or the emotional level.
- 9:30SPEAKER_02: It has to be all three, or else emotions or problems, challenges, you know, blocks, quote unquote, they won't fully shift unless we address it on all three levels.
- 9:41SPEAKER_02: And I show you exactly how to do that so that your clients get predictable, tangible results every time and you become known for it.
- 9:49SPEAKER_02: And that's really the goal here for you to create a business that brings in six figures or multi-six figures doing what you do.
- 9:58SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: So that is starting actually today is the first call.
- 10:03SPEAKER_02: But like I said, I'm accepting people coming in until the end of the month.
- 10:07SPEAKER_02: So please reach out to me if you want to chat about coming into the program.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: Like I said, there is an extended payment plan available.
- 10:14SPEAKER_02: We make it easy for you to come into this program and get this skill set so that you can build your business in the way that you desire.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: That's the certification.
- 10:25SPEAKER_02: Reach out to me about that.
- 10:26SPEAKER_02: We will link it below.
- 10:28SPEAKER_02: But please, like if you have questions or you want to understand more about it, just email info at elisebreeds.com.
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: I think that is everything for now.
- 10:37SPEAKER_02: Oh, I do have a couple of spaces that have opened up for private mentorship with me.
- 10:43SPEAKER_02: And this will be for the person who is wanting to have high-level spiritual mentorship.
- 10:49SPEAKER_02: And this will include your business.
- 10:51SPEAKER_02: If you have a business, obviously it really includes everything, but it's going to be around high-level spiritual evolution, channeling, and really going deep to create the results you want to create in your life, not only up-level your income, which is always a natural byproduct of this work, but really evolve on a spiritual level and understand what you're here for, a deeper level of your mission, a deeper level of your purpose, and really bringing forward a new expression of your work that is what's meant to happen, right?
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: And that's what I'm really good at with my clients.
- 11:30SPEAKER_02: And in private mentorship, we just go really deep and we move really fast.
- 11:35SPEAKER_02: And it's a different level of access, it's a different level of relationship that because of that connection and because of that depth that we have together, things just move really quickly in a way that they wouldn't otherwise.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: So if you feel drawn to that, reach out to me and we can chat about the details for private mentorship.
- 11:56SPEAKER_02: And that's it.
- 11:57SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna leave it there.
- 11:58SPEAKER_02: I know you're gonna love this episode.
- 12:00SPEAKER_02: I'm sending you so much love and I will talk to you soon.
- 12:06SPEAKER_02: Hi, everyone.
- 12:07SPEAKER_02: Welcome back to the show.
- 12:08SPEAKER_02: So today I have a really special guest that I'm so excited to chat with and for you to meet.
- 12:14SPEAKER_02: Her name is Amber Romaniac.
- 12:16SPEAKER_02: I think I said that right.
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: And she is, I'm just gonna read a little bit, but I'm not gonna go into it because we'll go into it when we talk to her.
- 12:26SPEAKER_02: But she's an emotional eating, digestive, and hormone expert who helps women create a level of body confidence, intuition, and optimal health through mindset self-care and overcoming self-sabotage with food.
- 12:39SPEAKER_02: And I really just love what you do, and I'm so excited to talk to you.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: So welcome to the show, Amber.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: Thank you for having me.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: I'm really excited to be here with you and dive deep.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:49SPEAKER_02: Well, I only dive deep.
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: So you came to the right place.
- 12:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: So can you just start?
- 12:56SPEAKER_02: Just tell us a little bit about you and then how did you get into this work?
- 13:00SPEAKER_02: I'm assuming it's because you struggled with this.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: 100%.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: So I created my business 10 and a half years ago through my personal struggle of dealing with a very, you know, destructive binge eating, food addiction, binge and purge issue for a very long time.
- 13:16SPEAKER_00: Unconsciously growing up, I was an emotional eater and binge junior and didn't realize that that's what I was doing.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: And, you know, we all go through experiences that really like impact our being and who we become as a person, as a human on this planet.
- 13:30SPEAKER_00: So when I was five, the first day on the school bus, I get on, the older boys call me fat and ugly, and then the whole bus is making fun of me.
- 13:36SPEAKER_00: And that was a moment that just crushed my soul.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: And I took that fat, ugly identity on for the next 20 years of my life.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: And then I grew up with my mom and dad.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: My mom was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis before I was born.
- 13:47SPEAKER_00: And so a way she compensated in a lot of what we did together was with food because I think she felt a lot of guilt because she'd get dizzy and her symptoms would kick up.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: And I think it just made her feel really bad.
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: So food was always there, and food was a crutch for her.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: So it just always was something that was available: junk food, sugar, baked goods, anything I wanted anytime.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: And so I wasn't really taught balance and we have this sometimes, but not anytime and as much as you want.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: So I just grew up with massive cravings and had no clue about like how food impacts your frequency or your physical health or your mental health or any of it.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, we get conditioned by Hollywood in the media to hate our bodies and they sell us the false solution, which is go on a diet, try this weight loss plan.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: You're not gonna ever be good enough unless you look like this fake Photoshop image.
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: And so all of that fell on me in my tweens and teens.
- 14:37SPEAKER_00: And then I fell deep into binge eating consciously at 21 after a breakup, lost weight really fast.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: Nothing was fixed, obviously, because weight loss doesn't fix anything or fill the void or make us happy.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: And then I was like, well, screw all of it.
- 14:50SPEAKER_00: Nothing is working.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: And then I just fell deep into binge eating.
- 14:53SPEAKER_00: And for me, binging wasn't just eating half of a chocolate bar.
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: It was like going to the drive-thru, getting drive-thru food, going to the baker, getting six cupcakes, going here, going there, and like eating until I was so full I was sick.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: So I now went from my thinnest to gaining 60 pounds in four months, just being, you know, in the state of sheer embarrassment and shame.
- 15:10SPEAKER_00: And that really took over for the next couple of years of my life.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: The low point moment was really eating out of my garbage can.
- 15:16SPEAKER_00: I was to the point where I was so addicted to food that I would throw it away and go, oh, well, that's just embarrassing.
- 15:21SPEAKER_00: I would never eat out of my garbage can.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: But one night in particular, I did.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: And that was just the low point moment that really pushed me into my dark night of the soul of like, I can't keep being in denial that this isn't a big deal.
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: Because essentially my negative ego mind was like, oh, it's not that bad.
- 15:39SPEAKER_00: Food's your friend.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: Who are you gonna be if you don't use food?
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: And that's too scary of a journey to try and go on to feel your feelings and deal with all of that.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: So I stayed stuck in this comfort zone of suffering, but that moment crushed all the fear of change and unknown.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: And I was catapulted into healing.
- 15:54SPEAKER_00: And there's like a physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual healing that occurred.
- 15:59SPEAKER_00: We can get into any of that if you want to.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: But then after I healed, I was like, oh my goodness, I have the brain of a recovered addict.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: I have the brain and the awareness now of really deeply understanding what triggers someone to binge, the pathway wiring, when we're afraid to access our intuition and we want to shove our light down because it's scary to feel and be an empath, right?
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: This is why some people emotionally eat, like all of these things.
- 16:24SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, wow, this is so complex and in depth.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: No wonder 90% of the female population is struggling with this and can't get over it.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: So then the business, those births and my ideals, I coach women who are really struggling with this and can't get out of it.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: There's a lot of shame and guilt.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: It's very dense and heavy when we're going through this because we think there's something wrong with us and we're crazy, but we're not crazy.
- 16:46SPEAKER_00: There's nothing actually wrong with us.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: It's just we're not properly taught how to deal with any of this or process through our feelings, or that the food we're being sold is so addictive.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: It's exciting the same part of the brain as cocaine.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: So it's so deep.
- 17:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:01SPEAKER_02: Well, there's so much there.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: And I'd love to dive into like so much of it, but I think I like to start with how did you heal?
- 17:08SPEAKER_02: What was the process for you?
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: The first thing that happened was there was like this invisible guidance of just take a step, you're gonna figure it out.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: Most of the healing I did myself, I did not invest in support, number one, because I didn't have the means to do so.
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: And the one experience I had with a psychologist was really poor.
- 17:25SPEAKER_00: And it triggered me to binge because I essentially poured my heart on.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: She's like, Well, just don't go to the store and buy the food and just love yourself.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, Oh my god, it's just not that easy, right?
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: Like what gives therapists a bad name.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: I take this personally too, because from my background, I was a mental health professional.
- 17:41SPEAKER_02: And when I hear these stories about people saying shit like this, I'm just like, what the fuck?
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:47SPEAKER_02: The last thing you're supposed to do is like make someone feel worse.
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: Like, as a just from like a clinical, like professional perspective, that's the last thing you're supposed to do.
- 17:58SPEAKER_02: Like, no judgment.
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: The last thing they want to do is feel judge.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: So my annoyance with that.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: And I know there's a lot of amazing, but it just that was my experience in it.
- 18:11SPEAKER_00: But that needed to happen because, like, no, I've got to figure this out.
- 18:13SPEAKER_00: I just didn't know why yet.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: So, you know, the healing was really first around understanding and reading about sugar because sugar was my nemesis.
- 18:21SPEAKER_00: It's like, even if I just had a bit of it, I was full-blown losing control and craving it like crazy.
- 18:25SPEAKER_00: Once I started to learn that sugar was 10 times more addictive than cocaine, it blew my mind.
- 18:29SPEAKER_00: I was like, the food industry on purpose, it's trying to make people addicted to make money to make you sick.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: So far, I'm like, it just blew my mind and it pissed me off so much, but it drove my desire to heal.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: And then I started to learn about gut health and how all the sugar is feeding this unhealthy bacteria that's making me crave it and making my cravings bigger.
- 18:49SPEAKER_00: And having poor gut health is suppressing my mood-boosting neurotransmitters, my serotonin and dopamine.
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: And then that makes me want to go quick fix with food or shopping instead of learning how to build those up myself.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: So that was all very empowering.
- 19:02SPEAKER_00: And then it's like when I stopped eating all the refined sugar and processed foods, I still wanted to binge.
- 19:09SPEAKER_00: And I'm binging on five bananas and a jar of natural peanut butter.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: I'm like, there's something deeper here.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: And so that's where the emotional healing really started.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: And it was like, I'm not aware of my triggers.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: I need to understand what's actually triggering me to binge.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: And that there's not just emotional triggers like I'm sad, I had a negative interaction at work.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: There's also physical emotional eating triggers, like my cortisol through the roof, my blood sugars at a whack, my appetite levels are increased.
- 19:33SPEAKER_00: Because I have all this poor gut bacteria, it's amplifying my cravings.
- 19:37SPEAKER_00: I'm an sensitive empath.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: I feel everything and I don't yet have healthy energetic boundaries.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: I don't know how to feel safe trusting my intuition.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: This is all very scary.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: So that's all triggering me because now I go hang out with my friend and she dumps all her stuff on me.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know how to clear it and I'm taking it home.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: And now I want to binge because I'm overwhelmed and it doesn't feel good.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: And then it was awareness around wow, I suck at feeling my feelings.
- 20:01SPEAKER_00: I don't know how to manage stress in healthy ways.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: I have no tools.
- 20:05SPEAKER_00: I want to learn how to feel and that it's safe to feel.
- 20:08SPEAKER_00: Because the first time I tried, I was terrified to just sit and feel some fear because my ego mind had convinced me, oh, the world's gonna end if you sit and feel.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: And I really attached to that.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: But when I did it and nothing happened, I was like, wow, okay, no, I can build this momentum, I'm gonna start feeling a little bit more.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: And then integrating a self-care practice, breath work, meditation, EFT tapping, nature, baths with epsom salts, essential oils, things that were actually helping to ground me and calm me and take my focus off of food.
- 20:38SPEAKER_00: One of the biggest, most difficult parts of breaking this habit is understanding that every time we binge, especially if we're doing it around the same time every day or every week, for me it was the evening time is we wire a pathway in the brain.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: We wire this habit, this narrow pathway.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: And so even in the evening when I was like, I have no desire to binge, I just want to do my self-care and go to bed, all of a sudden it lights up and it's amber, it's time for you to binge.
- 21:01SPEAKER_00: That was one of the hardest parts because I didn't know about the pathway wiring until I started to do more research and understand it, right?
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: And then I'm like, oh, I'm gonna have to spend some time really like interrupting and shifting this behavior so that this pattern dissolves.
- 21:14SPEAKER_00: And a lot of people don't even realize that's going on.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: And so then I gained massive stride with overcoming the binges and the frequency of them, and it was like minimal overeating, right?
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: And then it got to the point where it just stopped happening, which was amazing.
- 21:27SPEAKER_00: But then that's where my intuition came on board tenfold and my empath gifts, and it was very scary to own it at first, and I didn't trust myself or those gifts, and so I went into a bit of suppression, but then flowed forward.
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: And really learning how to set boundaries, overcome people pleasing, perfection and all or nothing mentalities, and really learning how to say no, ask for help, be vulnerable.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: Like these are all things that have evolved since the business started and they stopped binge eating.
- 21:55SPEAKER_00: So that's kind of the evolution of how it went.
- 21:57SPEAKER_00: One of the last things I really worked on healing.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: I guess after result of binge eating was hormone and gut issues.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: My cortisol was 2000 here in Canada.
- 22:06SPEAKER_00: It should only be 350.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: It was I had severe adrenal fatigue.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: I had underactive hypothyroid.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: I had estrogen dominance.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: My progesterone was non-existent.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: I was flagging as postmenopausal at 24.
- 22:16SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: So it just goes to show you how much of a temporary, you know, damage I did to my hormones, but obviously that all fully healed thereafter.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: But that took a few years to balance hormones, to really balance gut and obviously without restriction.
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: So that's what the healing looked like.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: There are so many pieces.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Obviously, I'm still healing not from binge eating, but like abandonment issues, attachment stuff, like money wounds.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: But it's great because the more you heal, the more you learn, the more you actually can learn to live more in your power.
- 22:47SPEAKER_00: And healing and working then on subtle energy and more of that frequency piece is powerful because you keep tapping in and becoming more in tune.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: So it's a gift.
- 22:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: And of course, like you said, like you had to go through this because obviously you're meant to help other people with it.
- 23:04SPEAKER_02: And often, usually, the thing that we're meant to help people with, we have to go through it so we can help people.
- 23:12SPEAKER_02: But I'm curious to know, and this is something that I always ponder myself with my own clients who struggle with addiction.
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: Why do some people get addicted and some people don't?
- 23:24SPEAKER_02: Like, for example, I always think about this with myself because I love chocolate.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: But I will just have one piece of chocolate.
- 23:30SPEAKER_02: Cause yeah, maybe part of me is like, oh, I would love to eat the whole thing of it, but I just wouldn't.
- 23:37SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: So why is it that I can eat one piece?
- 23:41SPEAKER_02: And I'm not saying I'm better.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: I'm just giving myself as like, and then someone else could have that response where they like can't stop.
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: What is that?
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: Goodness, this is a big response.
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: So I think there's some key factors that play a role.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna get pretty woo with part of it.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: So I think part of it is your lineage.
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: So I came from a lineage of five generations of lacking.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so lack and hoarding.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: My great-great-grandparents came over from Germany and the Ukraine, and they literally just avoided genocide over there, and I have chills too.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: And so they had to rebuild twice because they came to Canada and started a homestead, and then everything got destroyed with the depression.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: And so then my great-grandparents and grandparents all went through that.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: And so the mentality was like, we have to hang on to everything and save everything because we don't know the next time we're gonna lose it all.
- 24:36SPEAKER_00: And so I even remember being a kid, and my mom had like 20 boxes of jewelry, and I'm like, why do you have so much jewelry?
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: And she's like, Well, when I was a kid, we didn't have anything, so I'm making up for it, right?
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: So it's like she hoarded everything.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: We had to throw away like 50 boxes of Christmas decorations after she passed away because it's just like she kept numbing and buying.
- 24:56SPEAKER_00: She was so addicted to it, right?
- 24:58SPEAKER_00: And so the lineage was a huge piece and usually is for people.
- 25:02SPEAKER_00: Past life experiences.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: So I was a starving prisoner, I was the morbidly obese woman in the circus that people paid to look at.
- 25:09SPEAKER_00: I was like the medicine woman who was taken captive and only fed gruel for my life and was like starving.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: I had all these past life experiences that obviously something came into this lifetime encoded in my DNA that's like, you're gonna heal these pieces.
- 25:25SPEAKER_00: So I think there's that aspect that we look at.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: And then from being a human in this realm, I think it's that if we have had experiences from a young age where our parents or whoever is bringing us up has a skewed relationship with food, it's very easy to inherit those diet mentalities.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: If we're put on a diet as a child, that is mortifying.
- 25:46SPEAKER_00: If our parents are poking at our stomach and making fun of us, that stuff can stick, right?
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: If you get bullied, maybe you have a sibling that's more pretty or like thinner or whatever, like all of that, right?
- 25:57SPEAKER_00: And of course, if our parents have body image issues or whatever their self-talk is, as we know, our subconscious is fully open from age zero to seven.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: And we're taking everything in and creating our identity.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: So I think that depending on how you grew up, that really can dictate if your parents had a sweet tooth or fast food or some kind of unconscious addiction, it's so much easier for them to pass it on to you as well, or alcoholism.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: I also see a lot of women who will quit alcohol and heal that, but then they actually what's happened is they just go to food.
- 26:26SPEAKER_00: And because sugar and alcohol are only one molecule different, one addiction is just morphing into another.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: So there's obviously a lot of support in programs where support is given to fully heal, but there's also a lot where it's not given to fully heal, and then we think we're healed, but we haven't dealt with this void, which to me is the biggest piece.
- 26:44SPEAKER_00: We have this lack of self-love, this void that is programmed into us through media, Hollywood, news, our parents, our upbringing.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: And if we don't feel good enough and adequate and we don't have healthy ways to cope, which so many of us are not taught, we will start having some kind of a soother or a safety blanket, whether it be food, mindless shopping, sex, drugs, cigarettes, whatever it is, people pleasing.
- 27:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no, I see that all the time.
- 27:07SPEAKER_02: I think it's funny because the clients that I've had who are in recovery who have struggled with addiction, you can see the way that they're like playing it out somewhere else, you know, and not even just clients I've had, even just people that I see where I'm like, oh, now you're just addicted to saving cats or whatever the fuck it is.
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: Totally.
- 27:29SPEAKER_02: You can see the way, like the energy around what it is that they're doing, they're bringing that addiction to it.
- 27:35SPEAKER_02: Even if it's something that's relatively harmless or objectively fine, yeah, it still has that addictive personality feel to it.
- 27:45SPEAKER_02: So I feel like you can really apply it to anything, it's really the energy that you're bringing to it, you know?
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 27:53SPEAKER_00: And I think because our food has been so compromised the last 50 to 60 years, and there's so many chemicals that we're being exposed to that we never used to, I think it's done a number on our dopamine and serotonin levels.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: And I think so many more people now than ever have low levels of both or of dopamine.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: And so when we're in that state and our mood is low, and we just want relief, we want a quick break.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: And they've made food so available and so easy to access and design it in a way to give us the perfect high.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: So I think it's been made really easy to just use food or to just use a coping mechanism.
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: And so I think it's like all of these things, and obviously more that are one of the reasons why some people are so detached and can just have a bit and some people, and it's but it's 90% of the female population, about 50% of the male population is struggling with some kind of body image issues and some kind of skewed relationship with food.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: Like that is significant.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: Well, I don't know if I've ever met any woman who hasn't struggled with that, you know.
- 28:52SPEAKER_02: And now that we're talking about this, I think that my ability to be so regimented is also my issue.
- 29:00SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: Like for me, I did struggle when I was younger with an eating disorder.
- 29:05SPEAKER_02: And it was literally because my father said to me when I was like, I think I was 17, or I might have been like just close to turning 18.
- 29:13SPEAKER_02: He said, You've gained weight.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: You know, and it was like right in that moment, my parents would fat shame people all the time.
- 29:20SPEAKER_02: So like I grew up, and this is not to talk shit about them, that was always brought to the conversation and always something that was said about people who were overweight, or it was always judgy with people who were overweight.
- 29:35SPEAKER_02: So I grew up feeling like that was not okay to be overweight.
- 29:39SPEAKER_02: And then when that at that point, when I was 17 or 18, like it just hit me somewhere where then it kind of spiraled into probably for the next, I would say until I mean it's always there, but I mean it was bad until I was probably 22, maybe.
- 29:58SPEAKER_02: And then because I discovered breath work and I started doing my own healing, it shifted, but it's never something that is fully gone ever.
- 30:09SPEAKER_02: But I feel like for me, I did the opposite because I was like grew up so disciplined.
- 30:15SPEAKER_02: I became a really good softball player and I practice every day, every morning before school.
- 30:21SPEAKER_02: I just knew how to be really disciplined.
- 30:23SPEAKER_02: I feel like I took it the opposite way, and I just know how to be like, okay, well, I know I'm gonna feel worse in the end if I do go overboard.
- 30:32SPEAKER_02: So I'm just gonna like hold myself back because that makes me feel better, you know?
- 30:37SPEAKER_02: So it's interesting the way that we kind of take what's in front of us and like interpret it in different ways.
- 30:46SPEAKER_00: Oh, totally.
- 30:47SPEAKER_00: And that's the thing, right?
- 30:48SPEAKER_00: Is there's so many different approaches that we can take to this.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: And one thing that I always see is like the control, right?
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: Like people are conditioned to think if I can just have control, then I'll be good and I won't lose control anymore.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: But we're usually out of control, like anyone, woman that I'm working with, it's like I just need control.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, actually, it's not about control.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 31:07SPEAKER_00: Because what's below the control, it's fear, it's insecurity, it's unworthiness, it is the intent.
- 31:12SPEAKER_00: And if we are coming from a state of respect and love and and and mindfulness with food, we're not gonna have an issue with it.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: But if we need control and we have to diet and restrict and we get conditioned by all of that, gosh, it's a whole mess the diet industry, right?
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: And points and counting and weighing your food and avocados have 50 points, but like a piece of candy zero.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: It's just like ridiculous.
- 31:36SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm sorry, I am not afraid of an avocado.
- 31:39SPEAKER_02: Like let's stop.
- 31:40unknown: Yeah.
- 31:40SPEAKER_00: Well, and then it it's always interesting when you go down the weight loss company rabbit holes and who owns the weight loss companies and how Nestle owned Weight Watchers for a really long time, and then you see that it's all the same, same shit, same people running all the same crap that's just like, you know, negatively impacting people and their well-being.
- 31:58SPEAKER_00: It's all the same.
- 31:59SPEAKER_00: And so I think it's where it's it's such a mind game because I think a missing link that a lot of people don't realize is we have this voice in the mind.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: And I refer to it the as the ego.
- 32:09SPEAKER_00: It's the negative voice, it's like puts you into the fucking mentality.
- 32:12SPEAKER_00: I don't care, I'm tired, I'm gonna eat whatever I want.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: And it's also the part of these, it's like, shame on you, you did that again.
- 32:16SPEAKER_00: You should feel guilty or ugly or fat, like it's never gonna change, you're never gonna be good enough.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: We need to deal with that voice and learn that that's not the true us and that the true love us lives in our heart, and that's where we reside in our power.
- 32:29SPEAKER_00: But if we don't ever learn about that voice or learn what power versus giving it away feels like and how to deal with that, it's really hard to build our worth, to raise our frequency, to heal our body, to overcome Benjidian, doesn't matter what it is, because that ego will stay loud.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: And that ego is really our wounded in our child that's running the show.
- 32:48SPEAKER_02: Totally.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: I totally agree.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: And I've gone through this journey myself, you know, so I can speak to it because now I feel like I'm at the point where I'm like 95%.
- 32:58SPEAKER_02: I'm like good.
- 32:59SPEAKER_02: You know, I I just intuitively eat, I listen to my body, I do what it wants, I enjoy the things that I enjoy.
- 33:07SPEAKER_02: I have parameters around that.
- 33:09SPEAKER_02: I'm not just like whatever anytime.
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: And I also intentionally, okay, I'm intentionally, you know, it's Thanksgiving.
- 33:15SPEAKER_02: So I'm intentionally doing what I want to do, whatever.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: But then of course, there's still like those times where that voice that you're talking about reaps back in.
- 33:24SPEAKER_02: And it's like in those moments, we have to know how to manage and shift out of that.
- 33:29SPEAKER_02: For you, like, what is the way of doing that?
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: So I think for me, it's really about okay, being aware I've given my powerway to my ego.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: What does that feel like in my body?
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: My shoulders are forward, I'm contracted, I have some anxiety, right?
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: My breathing is more shallow.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: And I just feel, I feel in the state of stress, my energy is drained, and the thoughts are negative and loud.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: It's just, oh, this feels icky, right?
- 33:53SPEAKER_00: I've given my power away.
- 33:54SPEAKER_00: And so it's like, okay, first off, why?
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: What triggered me?
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: What's the insecurity coming up?
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: I, why, why is this still a thing?
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: I don't have any desire to binge or emotionally eaten.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: I haven't for years.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: Like food, like I literally have like four boxes of Christmas chocolates in the closet.
- 34:10SPEAKER_00: Me 15 years ago would have eaten them all by now, and I'm so detached.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: I'll have a few when we go for Christmas, but I'm just like, take it or leave it now, which is great.
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: But it's been years of really understanding, okay, why do I have attachment issues?
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: Why am I afraid to be abandoned?
- 34:26SPEAKER_00: I've never actually been abandoned in this lifetime.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, because a past life.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, that helps me feel more in my power because I'm just healing something that's like a part of my soul.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: So the more we learn about ourselves, the more we understand what triggers the ego, it helps us become more aware of these aspects of us that just want to come home and heal.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: And I think that helps us build confidence and trust.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: And it's okay, I can either have the perception of my ego is a huge asshole and it's a pain in the ass, and I hate it, and I just want it to go away, even though, unless you become enlightened in this lifetime on this planet, you're always gonna have an ego.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: You can fight with it, but it'll just get bigger and fight back, or you can start working on it.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: This is really uncomfortable.
- 35:07SPEAKER_00: I wish my ego didn't kick in right now.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: I don't want to feel vulnerable.
- 35:10SPEAKER_00: I don't want to be in a lack mentality, I don't want to be triggered to binge, but I'm in this state right now.
- 35:16SPEAKER_00: So what does it have to teach me?
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: Because it's a teacher, just like weight gain is a teacher, like a thyroid issue, like the binge trigger is a teacher.
- 35:23SPEAKER_00: So that's how I started to look at it is okay, what does this have to teach me?
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: Holy crap, this has been a year of like I've still got lack stuff to deal with.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: So I am going to see what is still going on, why I still have a lack mentality sometimes.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: Why do I need to have a certain amount of money in my bank account to feel safe?
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: Why can't I just feel safe all the time no matter what?
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: It will take us to the depths and bring us to our knees so that we can heal on a deeper level.
- 35:48SPEAKER_00: And whole side note, the planet is going through an ascension.
- 35:51SPEAKER_00: And you cannot bring this dense baggage shit from the 3D with you.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: It's now or another lifetime.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: The ego is so deep.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: And when your nervous system is stressed and you have high cortisol and bloating, and you're you have all the symptoms in the world and you're in a victim mentality, my body's out to get me, the ego just gets louder because it thrives off your suffering.
- 36:11SPEAKER_00: It can be really in your face.
- 36:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: Well, there's a couple things.
- 36:15SPEAKER_02: I'm just gonna say both of the topics that I want to bring up so I don't forget.
- 36:19SPEAKER_02: One is how this is related to money, because you brought up money, and I do think they're so related.
- 36:25SPEAKER_02: And for me, I think just for myself and my own journey, the body and money have always been my biggest teachers and my biggest things to like master, you know?
- 36:36SPEAKER_02: So I love to talk about that connection.
- 36:38SPEAKER_02: And then also just from a more practical perspective, you mentioned cortisol and our hormone levels and all of that.
- 36:45SPEAKER_02: How do we heal that?
- 36:47SPEAKER_02: So I think I love to talk about both of those things in whatever order you desire.
- 36:52SPEAKER_00: Let's do the hormones first because I think it plays the hormones in the nervous system play a huge role in the ability for your energy field to actually be more open to receive and manifest with more ease.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: And I have learned this many times over too.
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: So through binge eating, through people pleasing, overbook schedules, being, you know, having everyone else be at the top of the priority list and you at the bottom, whatever the things are, every woman I've worked with has had a hormone imbalance, and of course, including myself.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: And so the first thing that usually happens through these kinds of behaviors is we have cortisol that goes up, and cortisol is the stress hormone.
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: It's produced by our adrenal glands, they're in the middle of our back.
- 37:27SPEAKER_00: And the more stress the body, the amygdala, which is the part of the brain that puts us into fight or flight, floods our body with cortisol and adrenaline or tells the body to do this because stress responses are happening everywhere.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: So if you are restricting and then binging and over-exercising and over-caffeinating and then fasting and keto and stressing about overeating on Thanksgiving and worrying that you are gonna let your aunt down if you don't eat her horrible jello dessert that you don't like, we're just always like the body's just like all the time.
- 37:56SPEAKER_00: Like it's just there's so much stress.
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: And so when we have cortisol that's high or low for long enough, we end up in adrenal fatigue or adrenal burnout.
- 38:04SPEAKER_00: So things like extreme fatigue, exhaustion, abdominal weight gain, sugar, salt cravings, increased appetite levels, blood sugar irregularities, and this just keeps stressing out the nervous system.
- 38:14SPEAKER_00: And the more stressed our nervous system, the more contracted our energy field becomes because it's like the universe is going, oh, like we want to give you everything, but how can you handle receiving all the things you want if you're this stressed and this closed off and this overwhelmed already?
- 38:29SPEAKER_00: There's such a connection between the two.
- 38:31SPEAKER_00: And the more stressed our nervous system, the more high the cortisol, the more we're usually in negative thoughts limiting beliefs because we feel spread too thin, our fuse is really short, we become more reactive, more negative toward ourselves and others.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: And our frequency is often lower because we're feeling more guilt, shame, hatred, judgment, comparison, lack, dread towards self and life.
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: More of those negative self-talk and emotions we're feeling, the denser energy we're in.
- 38:56SPEAKER_00: And so our frequency is dropping.
- 38:58SPEAKER_00: And the lower of a frequency we're in, it feeds bacteria more easily.
- 39:02SPEAKER_00: It creates more dis-ease and imbalance in the body, and it just makes it easier for these hormone imbalances to build.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: Thyroid issues are very common as well because once we have a cortisol issue for long enough, our adrenal glands start to go, I need to steal hormones from other parts of the body to convert into cortisol to keep you rubbing in this high stress state.
- 39:20SPEAKER_00: So we'll steal T3, T4 from the thyroid, and our pituitary gland produces thyroid-stimulating hormone.
- 39:27SPEAKER_00: And when our cortisol is really off, we overproduce that TSH.
- 39:30SPEAKER_00: And then we end up gaining weight more easily, no appetite, especially in the morning, hair loss, eyebrow thinning, cold hands and feet, aches.
- 39:39SPEAKER_00: And then we're just getting more pissed at our body and thinking, my body's out to get me.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: She was won't lose weight.
- 39:43SPEAKER_00: Now I've got this and this, instead of going, no, what is going on?
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: And can I actually start talking to my body?
- 39:49SPEAKER_00: And the adrenals will also feel progesterone and estrogen, and then you end up with depletions of both of those, or we can end up with low progesterone and high estrogen, which when that's going on, very easy to gain weight, night sweats, breast tenderness.
- 40:01SPEAKER_00: And you could be, I was in my 20s and I had all of this going on.
- 40:03SPEAKER_00: So it's wherever you're at.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: So the hormone issues really make us feel scattered, chaotic energetically, and it's a lot harder to tap into our intuition.
- 40:13SPEAKER_00: And so then where this ties into the body and money to me is like I've been saying, the more overwhelmed the nervous system, the more contracted we are.
- 40:22SPEAKER_00: We're more closed off.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: And it's really hard when you're in an adrenal fatigue fighting with your body state to feel unstoppable and worthy and that you can manifest everything that you want because you're like, I'm not going to manifest a record year.
- 40:36SPEAKER_00: Like, I have to lose weight before I can do that.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: I need to stop binge eating before I can do that.
- 40:40SPEAKER_00: I need more energy before I can do that.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: We get into these limiting spaces, and because it lowers our frequency, we're not necessarily always in the energetic match to receive what we want.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: I was attracting all kinds of unavailable alcoholics when I was binge eating.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: Obviously, mirror, I was emotionally unavailable and I had an addiction too.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: I just didn't realize at the time that.
- 41:01SPEAKER_00: So we attract who we are.
- 41:04SPEAKER_02: I have a question though, before you go into the money stuff, do you feel like all of like hormonal and cortisol and all that stuff, can you heal that just by shifting your energy?
- 41:13SPEAKER_02: Or do you feel like there's more to it or it depends on the situation?
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: I think it depends on the situation.
- 41:19SPEAKER_00: I feel like you can't supplement your way out of adrenal fatigue if you're a people pleaser, if you're in an all-or-nothing mentality, perfection proving, and you don't feel good enough because you're literally giving all your energy to everyone else.
- 41:32SPEAKER_00: You can't supplement your way out of like if you don't know how to manage being an empath and you don't know how to manage your energy.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: I think you can heal it because I have.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: And I think though, that there's different approaches for everybody, depending on what's been at the root of creating these issues for you in the first place.
- 41:49SPEAKER_00: Because maybe you have a healthy relationship with food and maybe you're happy with your body, but maybe for you, your big insecurity is money and how much is in your bank account.
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: And if you don't feel safe, it's gonna be hard to feel like you're adrenal fatigued because you're constantly freaking out about money and you're feeling drained every time you pay a bill, even though it's fine because you lack trust and faith in yourself and the universe's ability to provide to you.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: It's possible, but don't just go on aid adrenal supports, get testing done, see if it's too high or too low.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: And then, okay, what's physically going on in the body?
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: What's my digestive state?
- 42:20SPEAKER_00: Because if that's off, that's gonna impact your hormones.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: What other hormone issues are going on?
- 42:24SPEAKER_00: What vitamin and mineral deficiencies could be impacting your cortisol?
- 42:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, now I'm gonna work on my relationship with food, heal binge eating, binging and purging, emotional eating, whatever's going on there, that's imperative for hormone function and balance.
- 42:36SPEAKER_00: My ego and the limiting beliefs and negative thoughts, energy and frequency, right?
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: There's layers to address.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: Totally.
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: I agree.
- 42:46SPEAKER_02: And I think it depends on the person too, of like how you would approach it.
- 42:50SPEAKER_02: But that makes a lot of sense.
- 42:52SPEAKER_02: And I feel like you do have to look at every single aspect.
- 42:55SPEAKER_02: And the other thing, too, like I know for me, one of the things I've struggled with for so long is I feel like I process my own emotions and other people's emotions through my digestive system.
- 43:07SPEAKER_02: And I've had stomach issues my whole entire life, including when I was born.
- 43:12SPEAKER_02: I was born with ulcers in my stomach.
- 43:14SPEAKER_02: So I've struggled my whole life with stomach issues.
- 43:17SPEAKER_02: And it's it doesn't matter what I eat.
- 43:19SPEAKER_02: Of course, there's things that are gonna make like exacerbate it, right?
- 43:22SPEAKER_02: Obviously.
- 43:24SPEAKER_02: But for the most part, it's not really a food issue for me.
- 43:28SPEAKER_02: And it's so funny because my husband and I argue about this all the time.
- 43:31SPEAKER_02: He's like, it has to be what you're eating, like, you know, and I'm like, no, I've literally like dealt with this my entire life.
- 43:37SPEAKER_02: It's energetic.
- 43:39SPEAKER_02: That's something that I am constantly working on of disconnecting from other people's energy and really not overly processing emotions when I don't have to, because a lot of times I don't have to.
- 43:52SPEAKER_02: It's just like something I'm used to doing.
- 43:55SPEAKER_02: So that's a huge thing, too.
- 43:56SPEAKER_02: And it was such a journey for me to just get to the point.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: Where I realized that it was like emotional and energetic and not something's wrong with me or something that I was eating wrong or whatever.
- 44:08SPEAKER_02: Because I've gone through so many iterations of different ways of eating and stuff, which never really helped it.
- 44:14SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 44:15SPEAKER_02: That's something that I feel like I never would have realized until I just went down my own path of discovery, you know.
- 44:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's so true.
- 44:23SPEAKER_00: And I used to have horrible gut issues too.
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: And then the food stopped agitating.
- 44:27SPEAKER_00: But if I got really upset and worked up, I'd get it would agitate my system.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: And that's then I started to have the same learning about like the energetic and the emotional.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: And our bodies are our sounding boards and suppress stuck emotions, past life experiences, memories, energies will sit in different parts of the body, right?
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: And so if we can start to go, okay, my body's not out to get me, she's just trying to communicate because she wants to guide me, teach me, help me heal, which takes time to get to the point of neutrality when you're in pain, like excruciating pain, and you're like, this is not fun.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: I get that.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: But when we can actually breathe and try to keep our nervous system regulated while we're having bad symptoms and we respond instead of react, we'll get the messages more easily.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: The symptoms will usually start to subside and then it will start to fall away.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: I used to have horrible urethral pain.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: It felt like I had a stabbing UTI all the time for a few years.
- 45:23SPEAKER_00: And it was so horribly uncomfortable.
- 45:25SPEAKER_00: I don't wish that upon anybody.
- 45:27SPEAKER_00: But my urethra is like, you need to become less tolerant.
- 45:30SPEAKER_00: You need to stop being so reactive toward me.
- 45:32SPEAKER_00: Like, I got a lot to teach you, and you got a lot of guilt and shame down here that you need to let go of.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: And obviously, through years of feeling and hurting and suffering, like she has taught me a lot, but it's the same thing.
- 45:43SPEAKER_00: It was stuck energy and stuck emotion that was suppressed from all the years of binge eating past lives.
- 45:49SPEAKER_00: But then it's gone because once you get the messages, the layer's clear, right?
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: It's just it takes different periods of time for everybody.
- 45:56SPEAKER_00: And are you willing to stop quick fixing and be patient and take the time it's going to take?
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: Because you cannot quick fix your way out of healing these things.
- 46:03SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 46:04SPEAKER_02: And I think that's one of the issues too, is we've been so overwhelmed with, oh, here's a quick way that you can fix it.
- 46:12SPEAKER_02: And everything's marketed that way too.
- 46:14SPEAKER_02: It'll be fast, it'll be speedy, it'll happen quickly, and you won't have to like put in all this work, you know.
- 46:19SPEAKER_02: But it's really the only way to truly create transformation is to put in the work.
- 46:24SPEAKER_02: There's no other way.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: Yes, it is the honest truth.
- 46:27SPEAKER_00: And it's the most liberating, empowering thing, though, when you actually put in the work because you fill the void, you gain the confidence, you become so attuned and aware of your physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies.
- 46:39SPEAKER_00: That's the biggest gift ever, isn't it?
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: To reconnect with these parts of us that we got conditioned don't exist.
- 46:45SPEAKER_02: It's an initiation into who you're meant to be.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 46:49SPEAKER_00: And a remembering you get to come home to your soul and this light that you are and have been, whether you're in a human body or not.
- 46:58SPEAKER_00: And I think we we don't realize how powerful we are.
- 47:02SPEAKER_02: Oh my God, absolutely.
- 47:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 47:04SPEAKER_02: So then let's bring it back to money.
- 47:06SPEAKER_02: So I know we touched on it a little bit, but it I definitely feel like it's related.
- 47:10SPEAKER_02: And I also feel like the safety piece is a huge thing because I think money is directly related to safety.
- 47:18SPEAKER_02: And I know for me, from my own journey, I didn't even realize the way that I was operating from fear around money.
- 47:25SPEAKER_02: Like I didn't even know that that was something I was doing until it slapped me in the face and I had to face it.
- 47:31SPEAKER_02: But I think that money just brings up so much fear for people around survival, not feeling safe, not being supported, not being taken care of.
- 47:41SPEAKER_02: As you heal your body stuff, like how does that affect money?
- 47:46SPEAKER_02: What has it been like for you?
- 47:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, totally.
- 47:49SPEAKER_00: So what I notice is the, and it's not like I have to take perfect care of myself, but the higher I set the bar in my intent to honor my body and every aspect of my being while rolling with the punches of being human and circumstances happening out of your control, your body is everything.
- 48:06SPEAKER_00: So the better care I take in my body, the better my business does.
- 48:08SPEAKER_00: The better care I take of every aspect of my being, the better my business does.
- 48:12SPEAKER_00: If I'm going through a period of time where I am asphyxiating over the number in my bank account, which has really neutralized this year, thank God, I am all of a sudden blocking.
- 48:22SPEAKER_00: I'm blocking, I'm deflecting and rejecting like everything that I desire and it doesn't happen as easily.
- 48:28SPEAKER_00: And then I'm like, oh shit, I did that again.
- 48:31SPEAKER_00: Okay, why am I doing that?
- 48:32SPEAKER_00: And what was so fascinating is I used to chase numbers with money, like you used to chase the scale.
- 48:37SPEAKER_00: It's like if if it's below this weight, then I can be happy and have a great day and everything's okay.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: But if it's above this number, I suck, I can't go out, I can't date, I can't be social.
- 48:46SPEAKER_00: And it's almost like the same thing with money.
- 48:48SPEAKER_00: Like, if it's below this number, I suck, there's something wrong with me, and my business is failing, I'm not good enough, like all this stuff.
- 48:54SPEAKER_00: And if it's above this number, it's like I don't have to worry.
- 48:56SPEAKER_00: And it's like, no, like I'm safe no matter what.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: The number does not dictate anything, it's just a number, but it triggers so many wounds and insecurities if we're chasing it like we've been chasing a number on the scale.
- 49:11SPEAKER_00: Your worth does not dictate the number of you know, dollars in your bank account, but we've been taught that it does.
- 49:16SPEAKER_00: And so the more I've been able to detach them both, the more I come from love and just show up to be of service and help people, it's obvious and natural.
- 49:26SPEAKER_00: The exchange is I'm gonna receive the abundance or the aligned opportunity or collaboration or person, or I get to just choose peace in the moment.
- 49:33SPEAKER_00: But when I come from the intent of love and mindfulness, just like with food, things flow.
- 49:39SPEAKER_00: There's more of a flow.
- 49:41SPEAKER_00: But if I go into my head and my ego and something old comes up for clearing, well, then I'm probably more of an ebb.
- 49:47SPEAKER_00: And so it is so much about the energy and it is so much about our nervous system.
- 49:51SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 49:52SPEAKER_02: And I love what you're talking about with the number because I feel like that's why the body and money are so I think challenging for people is because of this number that can't really be argued with, it can't really be changed necessarily, although it can, but like in that moment it can't, right?
- 50:11SPEAKER_02: But I feel like it's so funny because we think it's like this finite thing, but it's really just the meaning that we're putting to it.
- 50:18SPEAKER_02: Because I always think about how, you know, if I would have looked at my bank account from the perspective of when I was a school counselor when I never had any money, I would be like, oh my God, I'm rich.
- 50:29SPEAKER_02: You know, but it's like now looking at it, it, you know, I could think, oh, it's not going to be enough or whatever it is, or I should have more.
- 50:36SPEAKER_02: So it's like really looking at like, I'm the only one who's putting a meaning to this number, and this number could literally mean anything.
- 50:44SPEAKER_02: So once you realize that that it's just your projection of what you decided this number means, then the number can mean anything, or we don't even really need to concern ourselves with the number.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 50:56SPEAKER_00: And I think we, you know, going back to societal conditioning, we live in a society where like, this is good, but I want more, I want more, I want more.
- 51:02SPEAKER_00: And it's yes, please, I want you to have everything you desire in this entire world and to be infinitely wealthy in every way.
- 51:09SPEAKER_00: But it can't, you can get caught up.
- 51:11SPEAKER_00: Oh, like I've reached that goal.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: Now I want to reach this one.
- 51:13SPEAKER_00: And then it's like it pulls us out of the service.
- 51:15SPEAKER_00: And I've witnessed this whole theme in the coaching industry that feels like it's starting to dismantle the few years, where it's been about triple your prices and have like a million offers in a week so you can hit your million dollar month or whatever.
- 51:28SPEAKER_00: And it's like that's not about service at all.
- 51:30SPEAKER_00: And you can feel the energy behind it.
- 51:32SPEAKER_00: And it's like people are getting a dopamine high when they're seeing this stripe person sharing their stripe account, but then the program isn't delivering anything and they're like, shit, I just spent all that money and like what happened.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: And so I think it's always to come back to like when we get our energy starts to come out of our body about money and goals.
- 51:51SPEAKER_00: It's like, yes, have goals, but detach and be of service.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: Do the thing you're here to do and celebrate and have gratitude for what you have because it's a great learning opportunity and it's very humbling when you have a peak and then things ebb a bit more again, and you're like, wow, I should have just been more grateful for that.
- 52:07SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna just have that lead me rather than oh, but last year, this time I did this.
- 52:13SPEAKER_00: And it's like, no, clear all that out, just be grateful, be of service, tend to your body, and I think it just unfolds a lot more naturally and organically rather than the force, the control, and I have to make this much money this month.
- 52:25SPEAKER_02: It's well, yeah, because it's sense we're attaching a meaning to that that doesn't have to be, and of course, believe me, money is great, and I am so grateful for the money I've made since I started my business.
- 52:38SPEAKER_02: It's a dream come true, literally.
- 52:41SPEAKER_02: And at the same time, there is so much bullshit going on in the coaching industry and just fakeness and like total lack of integrity and just using things for shock value, how much money you made and all of that.
- 52:56SPEAKER_02: Again, I value that in the sense of, and sometimes I do want to share what I've created because I want people to understand what's possible.
- 53:06SPEAKER_02: And at the same time, I feel like that kind of stuff has been taken and used as a manipulation tactic to get people to buy because they don't feel good enough or because they're comparing themselves or whatever.
- 53:20SPEAKER_02: So it really is a slippery slope to using or like leveraging people's insecurities and beliefs about themselves and low self-worth to creating sales from a place that to me is out of integrity and that, you know, just has to be shifted.
- 53:39SPEAKER_02: And I think it is shifting, and I think there's a lot of people that desire to shift it, yeah, um, that don't want to operate that way, but it has to be like pointed out because I do think it's part of what you're talking about, the dopamine hits and operating from a place of just integrity within your own being and putting your energy and holding your energy in a high regard as the number one thing, versus it being about, oh my gosh, I have to make sure that I make this amount of money because if I don't, then I'm not gonna feel good about myself.
- 54:12SPEAKER_02: That is not a sustainable strategy.
- 54:15SPEAKER_00: And it's not, you're not in it for the right reasons to help assist the other people.
- 54:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 54:21SPEAKER_00: And you can feel the energy, the difference and offer that is from someone's heart and really gonna help versus something that isn't, right?
- 54:28SPEAKER_00: And I think that's where it's so important when people are looking to invest in something, like take some time with yourself and like sit and steal into the energy of it.
- 54:37SPEAKER_00: Like when you see the number and you get the dopamine high, like wait to make the decision.
- 54:42SPEAKER_00: Cause I learned that the hard way a couple times.
- 54:44SPEAKER_00: I invested significant amounts of money in some of those things because I'm like, oh, like they're at that level.
- 54:49SPEAKER_00: I want to get there.
- 54:49SPEAKER_00: They can help me.
- 54:50SPEAKER_00: Look, they've done it, right?
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: And then it's like you get in and it's literally zero substance.
- 54:54SPEAKER_00: And what did I do?
- 54:56SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, lesson learned.
- 54:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 54:58SPEAKER_02: And also, like there is value in learning those lessons, you know.
- 55:02SPEAKER_02: And I always say, you know, because people want to like villainize these people who take their money and don't give them anything.
- 55:08SPEAKER_02: But then it's also, well, you're the one who handed over your money.
- 55:12SPEAKER_02: So like now, next time you're gonna use better discernment, or now you know what a red flag is, or now you are not going to be wooed by something someone says, and you're actually gonna feel the energy versus just chasing this dream that might not be, you know, what is next for you at this time, which is also okay.
- 55:33SPEAKER_02: You know, and I think it's so much more about resonance with a person versus okay, well, they can get me to this point.
- 55:40SPEAKER_02: Like that's not what it's about.
- 55:42SPEAKER_02: And I think that's what a lot of people misconstrue it as.
- 55:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no one can fix you or take you to the next level.
- 55:47SPEAKER_00: It's you've got to do the work, but they can give you guidance and ideas.
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: And I totally agree.
- 55:52SPEAKER_00: And the other great thing about those experiences is it really helps you check in to go like when someone is investing in me and my service, I want to make sure that they get a full experience and feel so supported and excited with this investment and not be like, yeah, great to have your money.
- 56:09SPEAKER_00: And now here's the half-ass, you know what I mean?
- 56:11SPEAKER_00: So it's a good reflection back to go, like, am I showing up the way that I would want to be received if I was investing in my service?
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: And it's it's just a great check-in.
- 56:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, absolutely.
- 56:22SPEAKER_02: And it's like, as people who take this seriously, and it's like your life's work.
- 56:27SPEAKER_02: It is insulting when there's people who don't take it seriously, but at the end of the day, like, there's nothing we can do about that.
- 56:33SPEAKER_02: We have to just focus on what we're doing, you know.
- 56:36SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 56:37SPEAKER_00: And and hold integrity ourselves because there's a lot of incredible coaches and healers out there that are doing integral work and have humanity's greatest good in mind.
- 56:46SPEAKER_00: And that's only going to continue to grow.
- 56:48SPEAKER_00: So it's exciting.
- 56:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I agree with that.
- 56:51SPEAKER_02: What are the ways that you work with people?
- 56:54SPEAKER_02: Like, do you do groups or one-on-one or both?
- 56:57SPEAKER_02: What's the best way for people to jump in to your world?
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: I do a bit of both, primarily as one-on-one.
- 57:03SPEAKER_00: And then I do a couple of times a year drop group programs and just mini masterclasses and little programs, depending on what people want.
- 57:10SPEAKER_00: And I also have a membership, which is a great way to like get your foot in the door and really immerse yourself in the self-care mindset, kind of go at your own pace piece.
- 57:18SPEAKER_00: So those are some of the key things that I like to offer because everyone's in a different place and has different means and desires to invest in different things.
- 57:25SPEAKER_00: So yeah.
- 57:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I love the membership.
- 57:28SPEAKER_02: That's great, especially for people who are, you know, wanting support, but just wanting to dip their toe in.
- 57:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:35SPEAKER_02: That's great.
- 57:37SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 57:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 57:38SPEAKER_02: And then where can people find you?
- 57:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 57:41SPEAKER_00: So my website is amberapproved.ca.
- 57:44SPEAKER_00: I have a free emotional eating quiz there if you're wondering, if you're struggling, you'll get some podcasts that do go into all of that conversation and help you build some awareness.
- 57:53SPEAKER_00: As well, you will find all the episodes of my podcast called the No Sugar Coating Podcast there, all the podcast apps as well.
- 58:00SPEAKER_00: And then if you are wanting to connect and like maybe figure out what path could fill best for you, there's the opportunity to book a body freedom consultation, fill out a form, and we can connect and gain clarity on what you need, what's not working, and see if there is a path of alignment.
- 58:14SPEAKER_02: That's awesome.
- 58:15SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm sure people can find this out from you, but just like to know like, how would you define somebody who is an emotional eater?
- 58:23SPEAKER_00: Good question.
- 58:24SPEAKER_00: So, to me, emotional eating is eating for any reason other than physical nourishment.
- 58:27SPEAKER_00: So you're eating because you're bored, you're happy, you're sad, you're alone, you have had a stressful day, you've overconsumed on Thanksgiving, and now you're in the effort mentality.
- 58:37SPEAKER_00: So I'm just gonna keep going.
- 58:39SPEAKER_00: But you're really using food to cope with everything.
- 58:42SPEAKER_00: And then you're thinking about it all the time.
- 58:45SPEAKER_00: You're either trying to diet or you're losing control.
- 58:48SPEAKER_00: And then there's different levels of it.
- 58:49SPEAKER_00: So it might be you're the person who eats a handful of chips and half a chocolate bar, but then the binge eater is losing control and eating until they're so full they're sick.
- 58:57SPEAKER_00: So there's different levels of emotional eating.
- 58:59SPEAKER_00: But to me, it's like that versus physical hunger is I eat mindfully, ideally as often as I can when I actually feel hungry because I get a hunger signal, my stomach's growling.
- 59:09SPEAKER_00: I look at the clock and realize I haven't eaten in a few hours, my blood sugar is plummeted and I'm hangry.
- 59:15SPEAKER_00: So you really are fueling the body and seeing food as fuel.
- 59:19SPEAKER_00: Food is still enjoyable when you're not in an emotional eating anymore, but there's a different respect and there's a mindfulness that comes along with it versus the emotional eating.
- 59:27SPEAKER_00: It's like fast and guilt, and I have to get this over with and I have to hide it, and there's shame.
- 59:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 59:32SPEAKER_02: So basically, is it anyone who wants to better their relationship with food would be somebody that could benefit from your work.
- 59:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, a hundred percent.
- 59:41SPEAKER_00: If you've been fighting with food and diets in your body for years or decades, and you know honestly deep down that nothing is working, this may be a path that could work for you.
- 59:51SPEAKER_00: Because here's the thing 10 and a half years, if I could heal it and I was eating out of my garbage can, you can heal it too, truly.
- 59:58SPEAKER_00: And the women that come to work with me are ready to heal because they're so done.
- 1:00:02SPEAKER_00: They're exhausted, they're tired, they're burnt out, they've wasted thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars on the diets and the quick fixes and all the clothing sizes.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_00: They're beyond done, and they don't want to spend the rest of their lives fighting with their body and food.
- 1:00:15SPEAKER_00: So they gain the progress in full freedom, not just like, hey, I'll get you down to one binge a month.
- 1:00:21SPEAKER_00: No, full freedom.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_00: No more food fear, no more guilt after you indulge.
- 1:00:27SPEAKER_00: Freedom.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_00: That's the ultimate intent and goal.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 1:00:31SPEAKER_02: And also just for me, being able to love and accept my body is just the biggest, you know, and not that I can say I'm like fully there, but I'm like way more there than I ever have been in my life.
- 1:00:41SPEAKER_02: And that is freedom also.
- 1:00:44SPEAKER_02: Once you can stop being in those thoughts of criticizing yourself constantly, again, not to say it never happens, but it happens the least that's ever happened in my life.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_02: It's like, oh my gosh, like I can be a normal person.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and it is.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_00: And you have so much more mental space and energy to be enjoy your day and be present and create amazing memories with your loved ones and your business and your family and whatever you have going on in your life because it's so true.
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_00: And I can still relate, like when you're fighting with your body or food or both, you're so obsessed and asphyxiated with that.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_00: It's hard to open up your lens of like enjoying your life because you're like, well, I can't eat that because this party's this weekend, and I've got to lose five pounds because the draft, it's just a mess in the mind.
- 1:01:29SPEAKER_00: And then there's no joy, and life is supposed to have joy, and we're supposed to enjoy living in our bodies.
- 1:01:35SPEAKER_00: So the healing, the body image piece is huge, just as huge as the emotional eating.
- 1:01:41SPEAKER_00: And it's so funny because most of them that reach out to me, they're like, I want to lose weight.
- 1:01:45SPEAKER_00: Can you help me lose weight?
- 1:01:46SPEAKER_00: And then we actually like get into the layers and it's like they're binging, they're emotionally eating, they have body image issues, they're people pleasing.
- 1:01:52SPEAKER_00: It's it's actually not a weight loss journey, it's a healing journey.
- 1:01:54SPEAKER_00: And weight is a protective mechanism.
- 1:01:56SPEAKER_00: Your body hangs on because you don't feel safe.
- 1:01:59SPEAKER_00: So as we work on those layers and actually do the healing, your body will release without diet restriction or anything invasive.
- 1:02:07SPEAKER_00: And your your mind's gonna be blown because you're gonna be like, wow, we didn't have to force anything.
- 1:02:12SPEAKER_00: It actually gets to be easy.
- 1:02:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's freeing, like you said, it's so freeing.
- 1:02:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and then your body can just be how it wants to be.
- 1:02:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you know, yeah, which is so important.
- 1:02:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and the hormones regulate and the gut issues improve.
- 1:02:29SPEAKER_00: And yeah, we may have other things that come up, but it's a teacher, it's something stuck that's coming up for healing now because you're no longer suppressing with food.
- 1:02:36SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 1:02:37SPEAKER_02: Well, thank you so much for sharing all of your wisdom.
- 1:02:39SPEAKER_02: This was such a great conversation.
- 1:02:42SPEAKER_02: And for our last question for you, what is a non-negotiable when it comes to fully reclaiming your consciousness?
- 1:02:48SPEAKER_00: Good, great sleep.
- 1:02:50SPEAKER_00: That is so important for me.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 1:02:52SPEAKER_00: That's why we're moving in two weeks because our sleep has been so compromised where we live and we're like, no more.
- 1:02:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's so important.
- 1:03:00SPEAKER_02: I'm obsessed with sleep.
- 1:03:01SPEAKER_02: I love, I love going to bed really early.
- 1:03:05SPEAKER_02: Yes, us too.
- 1:03:07SPEAKER_00: It's important.
- 1:03:09SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:03:10SPEAKER_00: And here's a tip optimal hormone balance time is happening between 11 p.m.
- 1:03:14SPEAKER_00: and 1 a.m.
- 1:03:15SPEAKER_00: If so, if you're staying up late all the time, your hormones are gonna be really hard to regulate and balance, and you're gonna feel a lot more puffy and inflamed, and your dopamine levels are gonna be a lot lower.
- 1:03:24SPEAKER_02: So oh my god, I love that.
- 1:03:26SPEAKER_02: Well, I'm rarely up past 11 unless I'm like, you know, go out with friends once or twice a month.
- 1:03:31SPEAKER_02: But other than that, I am not up past 11.
- 1:03:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 1:03:35SPEAKER_02: Yeah, winning.
- 1:03:37SPEAKER_02: Yes, it's important.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_02: Awesome.
- 1:03:39SPEAKER_02: Well, I love that.
- 1:03:40SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much.
