A tragic accident claimed the life of a 24-year-old man in Orem yesterday afternoon when he was struck by a car at the intersection of University Parkway and 700 East. Emergency responders rushed to the scene but were unable to save him. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police. Authorities have closed eastbound lanes for investigation, as they work to determine what led to the collision.
