Speaker 1: Because it is a serious problem we have. We have
• 0:03
Speaker 1: it's become a tourism, birthing tourism they call it, you know,
• 0:06
Speaker 1: trend where people will just come and you just come
• 0:08
Speaker 1: on to the soil and have your child and then
• 0:10
Speaker 1: they're they're able to avail themselves of the welfare state
• 0:13
Speaker 1: and everything else. It's it's been abused. It's one of
• 0:16
Speaker 1: those things that was intended to serve a noble, important
• 0:19
Speaker 1: purpose and has been thwarted and been overused and abused.
• 0:24
Speaker 2: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:27
Speaker 3: Good Wednesday morning. Nice to have you with us on
• 0:30
Speaker 3: the forty seven Morning Update. Birthright citizenship it was a
• 0:34
Speaker 3: top priority for a major debate by the President of
• 0:37
Speaker 3: the United States of America.
• 0:38
  Speaker 4: For all Americans.
• 0:39
Speaker 3: And now we have the decision that has come in
• 0:42
Speaker 3: from the Supreme Court. They are now affirming birthright citizenship,
• 0:46
Speaker 3: meaning anchor babies are one hundred percent American. But did
• 0:51
Speaker 3: they say that the President can't continue to move to
• 0:54
  Speaker 3: find the issue.
• 0:55
Speaker 4: We have that answer for you in just a moment.
• 0:57
Speaker 3: Also, Department of Allan Security coming out with major arrests
• 1:02
Speaker 3: all over the country of illegal immigrants with major criminal histories,
• 1:07
Speaker 3: So why is the media not covering it?
• 1:09
Speaker 4: We have their stories for you as well.
• 1:12
Speaker 3: It's a forty seven morning update and it starts right now.
• 1:15
  Speaker 4: Story number one.
• 1:17
Speaker 3: The Supreme Court ruled that states can finally ban transgendered
• 1:21
Speaker 3: athletes from women's in girls' sports. And this is the
• 1:24
Speaker 3: moment when feminists should be celebrating.
• 1:28
Speaker 4: So why are they not?
• 1:29
Speaker 3: Because it was conservatives and Presidentald Trump that actually pushed
• 1:33
Speaker 3: the issue. After years of lawsuits, years of political battles,
• 1:38
Speaker 3: emotional testimony from female athletes, and then a national debate
• 1:43
Speaker 3: that dominated the headlines, the United States Supreme Court ruled
• 1:47
Speaker 3: that states can in fact protect girls and women's sports
• 1:52
Speaker 3: by limiting female athlete competitions to biological females. And it
• 1:58
Speaker 3: was a six to three decision. The Court upheld the
• 2:02
Speaker 3: laws from Idaho and West Virginia, concluding they do not
• 2:06
Speaker 3: violate either Title nine or the Constitution. Now, for millions
• 2:11
Speaker 3: of Americans, this isn't simply about politics. This is about fairness.
• 2:17
Speaker 3: It's about preserving the very reason women's sports exist in
• 2:20
Speaker 3: the first place. And for President Donald Trump, this represents
• 2:24
Speaker 3: one of the defining victories of his second term female
• 2:28
Speaker 3: athletes coming out. One of them, who played volleyball at
• 2:32
Speaker 3: San Jose State, saying this on Fox News Channel about
• 2:36
  Speaker 3: the ruling.
• 2:37
Speaker 5: I just had to practice with him. I wasn't even
• 2:39
Speaker 5: playing against him in a real game, so at the
• 2:42
Speaker 5: bare minimum, at least I got to know his tendencies
• 2:45
Speaker 5: so I could keep myself a little bit safer. But
• 2:48
Speaker 5: even then, it's like I'm still getting slammed in at
• 2:51
Speaker 5: my body. I bruises on my legs from getting hit
• 2:53
Speaker 5: with a ball, like these other teams don't know what
• 2:56
  Speaker 5: they're walking into.
• 2:58
Speaker 4: And that's even worse than.
• 3:00
Speaker 5: Well I had to go through going into practice every
• 3:02
Speaker 5: single day trying to keep myself safe, but these other
• 3:05
Speaker 5: student athletes at other institutions going into it not even
• 3:08
Speaker 5: knowing what they're walking into.
• 3:10
Speaker 3: And there were you listen to that, and that is
• 3:13
Speaker 3: exactly why the President wanted to move forward and act.
• 3:16
  Speaker 5: Now.
• 3:16
Speaker 3: As a quick reminder, twenty nine states restrict trans athletes
• 3:21
Speaker 3: in girls' sports, and of course every radical extreme low
• 3:25
Speaker 3: LGBTQ plus organization immediately jumped into sue. There was a
• 3:30
Speaker 3: study also that came out that one hundred and twenty
• 3:32
Speaker 3: two thousand trans high school athletes is the total they
• 3:36
Speaker 3: claim In the US. A study also found that one
• 3:39
Speaker 3: percent of high school athletes aren't quote trans, and the NCAA,
• 3:44
Speaker 3: after President Donald Trump got into office, banned trans athletes
• 3:48
Speaker 3: in girls' sports. You can see exactly why this decision
• 3:52
Speaker 3: was such a big deal. Now, President Trump, he said,
• 3:56
Speaker 3: this represents one of the defining victories of his second term.
• 4:00
Speaker 4: And you may ask yourself, how do we even get here.
• 4:02
Speaker 3: Well, to understand why today was such a major moment,
• 4:06
Speaker 3: you literally have to go back fifty years back in
• 4:09
Speaker 3: nineteen seventy two, Congress passed Title nine, and the goal
• 4:14
Speaker 3: was really straightforward, women and girls deserve equal opportunities in education,
• 4:19
Speaker 3: including athletics. Again, it was actually about education first, not
• 4:24
Speaker 3: just athletics. And before Title nine, many schools barely funded
• 4:28
Speaker 3: girls sports. Scholarships didn't exist, facilities were often inferior, they
• 4:34
Speaker 3: were a joke if they even had them at all,
• 4:36
Speaker 3: and many girls simply didn't have the chance to compete.
• 4:40
Speaker 3: Title nine changed all of that, and over the next
• 4:43
Speaker 3: fifty years, participation in girls and women's athletics exploded. You
• 4:48
Speaker 3: have millions of young women that earned scholarships giving them
• 4:51
Speaker 3: a chance to go to college. Women's College sports then
• 4:55
Speaker 3: flourished professional leagues and expanded, and then the Olympic opportunities
• 5:00
Speaker 3: multiplied exponentially. You literally had an entire generation of female
• 5:05
Speaker 3: athletes that benefited from protections designed specifically for them.
• 5:09
Speaker 4: Yes, for women, not for men.
• 5:12
Speaker 3: Now in recent years, you saw the change happen before
• 5:15
Speaker 3: your very eyes. In the early twenty twenties, you had
• 5:19
Speaker 3: this massive mandate that you must allow any man who
• 5:23
Speaker 3: claims their women to be able to compete with women
• 5:25
Speaker 3: and use their locker rooms and their facilities.
• 5:28
  Speaker 4: That is insane.
• 5:29
Speaker 3: You then witness people that had done their entire life
• 5:33
Speaker 3: focusing on a sport, not when or the records, that
• 5:36
Speaker 3: were beaten by men claiming they were women. Now, the
• 5:41
Speaker 3: simple question was, look, should biological males who identify as
• 5:44
Speaker 3: female be allowed to compete in women's sports. This is
• 5:47
Speaker 3: when you would think the feminists wild to stand up
• 5:49
Speaker 3: and said protect women's sports, But the liberals didn't do it.
• 5:53
Speaker 3: In fact, they advocated for this, and then that question
• 5:57
Speaker 3: has now moved to the entire country. Some female athletes
• 6:01
Speaker 3: said they were losing championships and the data backed it up.
• 6:04
Speaker 3: Then you had the scholarship opportunities that were disappearing. That
• 6:07
Speaker 3: was another problem. Then you had podium finishes where men
• 6:11
Speaker 3: were standing at the top during women's sports, and then
• 6:14
Speaker 3: the roster spots that were being filled by men instead
• 6:17
Speaker 3: of women in women's sports. Now, there were many others
• 6:20
Speaker 3: that raised concerns about safety. You heard one of them
• 6:23
Speaker 3: just a moment ago. They said the contact sports, it
• 6:27
Speaker 3: was insane. And then integrity of sex separated competition. Supporters,
• 6:32
Speaker 3: of course, on the radical left of transgendered inclusion, argued
• 6:36
Speaker 3: that transgendered athletes deserved equal opportunities to participate and that
• 6:40
Speaker 3: blanket bans discriminate on the basis of gender identity. The country, well,
• 6:46
Speaker 3: it was divided. If you're conservative, you probably were on
• 6:49
Speaker 3: the side of sanity, and if you were a radical liberal,
• 6:52
Speaker 3: you were probably on the side of insanity.
• 6:55
Speaker 4: And that is where Donald Trump came in.
• 6:57
Speaker 3: Throughout his presidential campaigns, I said that as a plural
• 7:01
Speaker 3: word campaigns, Donald Trump repeatedly promised that if he was elected,
• 7:06
Speaker 3: he would protect women's sports at all costs. Now, many
• 7:10
Speaker 3: political observers initially dismissed the issue as nothing but symbolic,
• 7:15
Speaker 3: but after returning to office, the president showed he wasn't joking,
• 7:19
Speaker 3: and he made it one of his very first priorities.
• 7:22
Speaker 3: In February of twenty twenty five, Trump signed the executive
• 7:26
Speaker 3: order titled Keeping Men Out of Women's Sports.
• 7:28
Speaker 4: You can't be any clearer than that.
• 7:31
Speaker 3: And the order was very clear, directing federal agencies to
• 7:34
Speaker 3: interpret Title nine protections based on biological sex and then
• 7:39
Speaker 3: warned that schools receiving federal funding could face consequences if
• 7:44
Speaker 3: they allowed biological males to compete in girls and women's sports.
• 7:49
Speaker 3: That executive order immediately became a major political fight. Supporters
• 7:54
Speaker 3: called it common sense, the left and the media called
• 7:56
Speaker 3: it discriminatory. And this again was another example of the
• 8:00
Speaker 3: President saying, I am willing to have this fight, and
• 8:03
Speaker 3: let's go to the Supreme Court.
• 8:05
Speaker 4: Now more than half of.
• 8:06
Speaker 3: The states had already enacted laws in this country addressing
• 8:10
Speaker 3: transgender participation school athletics, and that set the states for
• 8:14
Speaker 3: the major constitutional showdown. Eventually, there were two cases that
• 8:18
Speaker 3: reached the Supreme Court. One involved Idaho, the other involved
• 8:22
Speaker 3: West Virginia. I was actually in the oral arguments at
• 8:26
Speaker 3: the Supreme Court for these cases. Now, both states argued
• 8:30
Speaker 3: they had a legitimate interest in preserving fairness and safety
• 8:34
Speaker 3: in girls athletics by limiting female sports to biological males.
• 8:39
Speaker 3: The challengers argued that these laws violated Title nine and
• 8:42
Speaker 3: the Equal Protection Clause. Now, during those oral arguments, several
• 8:47
Speaker 3: conservative justices questioned house schools could preserve sex based athletics
• 8:53
Speaker 3: if biological sex could not be used as an eligibility standard. Well,
• 8:59
Speaker 3: today the Court answered that question. The Supreme Court ruled
• 9:03
Speaker 3: that states may maintain those protections for girls and women's sports.
• 9:07
Speaker 3: Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote for the majority, concluding that states
• 9:12
Speaker 3: may base eligibility for women's school sports on biological sex,
• 9:18
Speaker 3: and that doing so is consistent with Title nine and
• 9:22
Speaker 3: the Constitution as well.
• 9:24
Speaker 4: Now this is a historic moment.
• 9:26
Speaker 3: The ruling says, this decision preserves the original purpose of
• 9:30
Speaker 3: Title nine, and if you're a woman, you should be thrilled.
• 9:33
Speaker 3: They argue women's sports were created because of biological differences. Yes,
• 9:38
Speaker 3: there are real differences between men and women, and that
• 9:41
Speaker 3: maintaining the separate female competitions actually protects competitive fairness as
• 9:47
Speaker 3: well as athletic opportunities through scholarships and countless other things.
• 9:52
Speaker 3: They also argue the ruling provides legal clarity now for
• 9:56
Speaker 3: the states and schools and coaches in athletic organizations after
• 10:01
Speaker 3: years of uncertainty and lawsuits. The decision is also likely
• 10:05
Speaker 3: to influence ongoing litigation other states with similar laws. And again,
• 10:11
Speaker 3: this is nothing but a leadership Trump victory. Even though
• 10:15
Speaker 3: these cases involve state laws. President Trump made the issue
• 10:19
Speaker 3: a central part of his platform, he campaigned on it,
• 10:23
Speaker 3: he signed an executive order on it, and his administration
• 10:27
Speaker 3: supported the states defending these laws before the Supreme Court. Now,
• 10:32
Speaker 3: after the ruling, President Trump celebrated the decision, calling it
• 10:35
Speaker 3: a big win. Supporters say today's outcome reflex years a
• 10:39
Speaker 3: political effort to reshape how Total nine is interpreted and
• 10:43
Speaker 3: also enforced. Now, it's important also to understand that many
• 10:47
Speaker 3: Americans are going to fight back on this. Opponents are
• 10:51
Speaker 3: going to argue transgender students should have the opportunity to
• 10:53
Speaker 3: participate in sports consistent with their gender identity, and you
• 10:59
Speaker 3: can bet they're going to try any way they can
• 11:01
Speaker 3: to force men on women in sports. Next story number two,
• 11:06
Speaker 3: another example of law and order. No matter where you
• 11:09
Speaker 3: are in this country illegally, the Trump administration is coming
• 11:14
Speaker 3: after you. The Department of Homeland Security announcing yesterday, the
• 11:18
Speaker 3: US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers arrested multiple convicted criminal
• 11:25
Speaker 3: illegal aliens over the weekend as part of the Trump
• 11:28
Speaker 3: administration's ongoing immigration enforcement campaign. In a simple press release,
• 11:33
Speaker 3: the DHS said that those arrested had prior convictions for
• 11:38
Speaker 3: crimes including homicide, child sexual assault, aggravated rape, assault with
• 11:46
Speaker 3: a deadly weapon, drug trafficking, burglary, and child abuse. Yeah,
• 11:53
Speaker 3: these are the people that are in our country illegally now.
• 11:56
Speaker 3: The agency identified individuals arrested in multiple states, including North Carolina, Colorado, California, Louisiana, Virginia, Texas, Georgia, Florida, Utah,
• 12:10
Speaker 3: and Nevada. That is how far reaching the tentacles of
• 12:13
Speaker 3: illegal immigrant criminal activity are in this country.
• 12:16
Speaker 4: Yes, it's not just border states now.
• 12:19
Speaker 3: Among those listed were a Mexican national who had been
• 12:23
Speaker 3: convicted of homicide in North Carolina, a Mexican national convicted
• 12:27
Speaker 3: of sexually assaulting a child in Colorado, a Guatemalan national
• 12:32
Speaker 3: convicted of felony assault in Virginia, and several foreign nationals
• 12:36
Speaker 3: convicted of cocaine trafficking offenses.
• 12:39
  Speaker 4: Quote.
• 12:40
Speaker 3: Over the weekend, the men and women of ICE were
• 12:42
Speaker 3: hard at work arresting criminal legal aliens convicted for homicide,
• 12:46
Speaker 3: child sexual abuse, assault, rape, and drug trafficking is what
• 12:50
Speaker 3: the acting Assistant Secretary said in the statement. She said
• 12:54
Speaker 3: the administration would continue arresting and removing criminal legal immigrants
• 12:58
Speaker 3: from the United States America. Now, these arrests also come
• 13:02
Speaker 3: as the Trump administration has made immigration enforcement and then
• 13:07
Speaker 3: deportations clearly the centerpiece of the second term agenda of
• 13:12
Speaker 3: Donald Trump. Now, the administration has directed ICE to increase
• 13:18
Speaker 3: arrests and removals. Let me say that again, increase arrests
• 13:22
Speaker 3: and removals and prioritizing illegal immigrants with criminal convictions while
• 13:27
Speaker 3: expanding enforcement operations nationwide. The administration officials have argued that
• 13:33
Speaker 3: the effort is aimed at improving public safety. Of course,
• 13:38
Speaker 3: the radical left contains broader enforcement actions that are sweeping
• 13:42
Speaker 3: in some immigrants without serious criminal records. Well, they're saying
• 13:46
Speaker 3: this is unfair and not due process. But the DHS, well,
• 13:51
Speaker 3: they made it clear the individual's arrested over the weekend
• 13:54
Speaker 3: they already had final removal orders or provide additional details
• 13:58
Speaker 3: on the timings for the their convictions. Make it clear
• 14:02
Speaker 3: that yes, they're going for the worst among.
