- 0:01Amen, Amen, Amen, Amen, God, bless you family, God.
- 0:04Welcome back to the morning, Devo. She Brough, Sam Lopez,
- 0:07Brother Lando, I see you, Good morning, God bless you as well.
- 0:10Good morning, Welcome back to the morning Devo. It's another day,
- 0:13a new days, so we're gonna be glad and rejoice about it. Today.
- 0:17I'm going to talk about things that we don't want to know that the
- 0:21scriptures say in the scriptures. In other words, I don't want their promises.
- 0:28I've never seen anybody with a T shirt or with a hoodie or a
- 0:32hat with this verse on them. It's a promise that Jesus made to us
- 0:39a man, and Jesus being God himself. Yeah, when he says the
- 0:44thing, it is a thing, and he promises you something, the promise
- 0:47is gonna come to pass, good or bad. A lot of people don't
- 0:51want to talk about the bad promises. What do you mean bad promises?
- 0:54I thought God was all good. God is all good. He's just,
- 0:56he's holy, he's righteous, he's loving, he's kind, he's merciful,
- 0:59he's great. And he's also a guy who warns us about things that are
- 1:04going to happen. And that gives us the ability to trust in him or
- 1:07not to trust him. That gives the the ability to put on faith in
- 1:11him and hope in him or not or put a hope in ourselves. What
- 1:15do you think? So I want the promises? Let me explain. Well,
- 1:19let me ask a question. Do you like all the promises of God
- 1:23in the scriptures? Do you like it? Be honest? You don't have
- 1:29to, you know, answer it here and expose yourself like that. But
- 1:34I'm going to give you a quick answer and the truth for answer. I
- 1:38don't. I don't like all the promises in the Word of God. Some
- 1:42people that's terrosy. No, That's how I have my opinion on the promises.
- 1:49Amen, this promise that were going to read about today, Like I
- 1:53said, you do not have to see it on a bumper sticker. You're
- 1:56not going to see it on a T shirt. And if you do,
- 1:59somebody has some explaining to do. The person who's wearing of this promise on
- 2:02them has some explaining to do. So do you like all the promises of
- 2:07God? And my sippliances, I don't. We're gonna be in John sixteen,
- 2:12verse number thirty three. What I love about the scripture? The scriptures.
- 2:15Honest, the scripture doesn't hold back any punches. If it's in there,
- 2:19we read it, we'll deal with it. Holy Spirit will teach us,
- 2:22Goddess and Guardess all the way through from point A until point Z.
- 2:27He will get us to the point where we know what we know and we
- 2:30know who we know through the power of God's Spirit. Amen. So that's
- 2:35what it gonna be today. John chapter sixteen, verse thirty three. If
- 2:38you have any questions, comments, concerns, prayer requests, or anything along
- 2:40those lines, please don't hesitate to leave it on a live chat. That's
- 2:44what we're here for. Good morning to my wife Ni Lopez. I have
- 2:47no idea why she woke up at three thirty in the morning and still not
- 2:52upstairs, but praise God. Amen, thank you so much for listening and
- 2:55watching. So listen, let's go forward. Do you like all the promises
- 3:00of God? John chapter sixteen, verse thirty three. Jesus says something that
- 3:07to this very day, I'm like, man, he was so right.
- 3:09He's so God, and his promises are true. Amen, And this is
- 3:14an unwanted promise. That's what I'm calling this today in the morning debo.
- 3:17And don't be discouraged. I don't ever want you to be discouraged. I
- 3:23just want you to see what Jesus said, and we're going to repeat what
- 3:27he said, and we're going to learn from what he said. Amen,
- 3:30Because he's the living word. He's not the dead word. He's not the
- 3:34word that returns void. He's the living word of God. And when Jesus
- 3:38says the thing, he means a thing and is for a purpose and a
- 3:40plan greater than could we could ever imagine or think or dream. Amen.
- 3:46He's the Emperor of Ephesians, chapter three, verse twenty. So, Father,
- 3:51I thank you that although we might not want these promises in your word,
- 3:54but those promises stand, and the Bible says your word says that all
- 3:59your promises are yea and Amen. So I pray, Lord God, that
- 4:02we would look at your promise and we would realize that it's the best promise
- 4:08you have ever made for us, according to your purpose and plan for us
- 4:12individually, that all your promises have a purpose and a reason, and that
- 4:16whether we're want those promises that come to pass or we don't, whether they're
- 4:20want their promises or unwanted promises, I thank you for them. All all
- 4:26the promises of God in your word. I pray, Lord God, peace
- 4:29over myself, my mind, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Peace over my
- 4:32family, my marriage, our children, our whole bloodlines, from my wife's
- 4:36side and my side, from the very youngest family member to the very oldest.
- 4:41That peace will be still. Know that you are God and your promises
- 4:44are the best promises we could ever imagined to have. I pray that over
- 4:47myself and everybody watching and listening at the sound of my voice on the other
- 4:53side of the screen, on the other side of this mic, I pray
- 4:55peace to them as well. In Jesus Holy Name. So, Lord God,
- 4:59I pray that you would teach us what this promise means by waving Holy
- 5:03Spirit, and what are the consequences of not taking heed to your warning?
- 5:12And why is these are these promises here for us to see and to know.
- 5:16So I pray peace. I pray wisdom understanding. I pray Holy Spirit
- 5:20ark ween angels, ministangers, warring angels to annihilate the tactics of the enemy
- 5:25and any distractions in Jesus Name, Amen and Amen. So let's go for
- 5:29it. Let's take sixty second time out to share this help me share this
- 5:32out. I got to share it to my group. I forgot to do
- 5:35that. And as we share this out, after the sixty seconds comes back.
- 5:40Amen. When we come back, will dive right into John chapter sixteen,
- 5:44verse number thirty three. Amen, you're ready, I'm ready. Let's
- 5:46go for it. S Amen, don't realize that I got more groups that
- 7:09have joined the network, have joined the podcast, so praise God. So
- 7:12there's more groups to share with. Amen. That's why it's good. And
- 7:15I ask you, ladies and gentlemen to help me share this out as well,
- 7:18so that way we can get this out to as many people as possible.
- 7:21And thank you for all the groups and all the people that are sharing
- 7:24this out and helping me spread this morning devotion. Thank you so much.
- 7:28I'm really grateful for that. Since the joyous good morning, God bless you.
- 7:30Welcome back to the Morning Devo. It's good to see you, my
- 7:33system, my friend. So let's go for it. We're going to be
- 7:35in John chapter sixteen, verse thirty three. This is a quote directly from
- 7:40our Lord and our Master, our Savior. Amen, of the King of
- 7:44Kings and the Lord of Lords. This is what Jesus said, and most
- 7:46importantly, Amen, this is what he promised. Amen. And if you're
- 7:50a lot, that will come to pass according to His purpose and reasoning behind
- 7:56it. Amen. I always tell people listen, understand everything in the scriptures.
- 8:01But I do know that God has understanding for us ready and prepared for
- 8:07us to know. If he reveals a thing, he will show us what
- 8:09he's revealing, how he's revealing it, individually, corporately. And you know,
- 8:15and if we stand united in this word, and we trust and obey
- 8:18and have faith in the power of God's word, that we will be in
- 8:22a better place than we were yesterday. Amen. And we will have a
- 8:24destiny for the future, for eternal life with him as long as we have
- 8:28faith, hope, trust in him, hold on to him, hold on
- 8:31to his promises, because all his promises will come to pass. So,
- 8:35if God's promised you, God has promised you something in the past, get
- 8:39ready. He never forgot that promise over your life and over my life is
- 8:43coming to pass. Amen. So unwanted promises, can you imagine that?
- 8:48Can you imagine anything that's unwanted in the scriptures? Well, I'm going to
- 8:52challenge you today with this scripture John chapter sixteen, Verse thirty three. This
- 8:56is the Lord Jesus speaking. I have said these things to you, you
- 9:00that in me you may have peace. Okay, so I kind of like
- 9:07play word games with you in the question. Hey man, this is an
- 9:09unwanted promise, but not really. I want the peace that God has for
- 9:13me. I want the peace that God has for you. I have said
- 9:18these things to you that in me, in Christ, you may have peace,
- 9:24because in the world you will have what tribulation. See that. So
- 9:31the Prince of Peace is letting us know in him we have peace. He's
- 9:33also letting us know in this world. It is a promise. In the
- 9:37world you will have tribulation, trouble, drama, chaos. But take heart.
- 9:46Other versions say be of good cheer because I have overcome the world.
- 9:50Jesus said, the world's system took care to send that evil. All of
- 9:58that. Jesus said, I give you peace in those times that you're in
- 10:05the world and you're having tribulation. It's a promise in the world you will
- 10:09have It doesn't say maybe a couple of you know, maybe it depends or
- 10:15anything. No, it says you will have tribulation, you will have tribulation.
- 10:20I will have tribulation and troubles, but be of good cheer, take
- 10:24heart, and have overcome the world. So if Jesus would not have it
- 10:28said that we have peace in Him, this promise will be unwanted. It's
- 10:33a promise from God. Jesus spoke it. I want this promise to come
- 10:37to pass in my life, the first part and the second part, because
- 10:41the first part, if we don't know what trouble is, we won't need
- 10:45peace. That's number one. If you don't know what evil is, you
- 10:48won't know what good is. You won't need good. Right, if you
- 10:52don't know what problems are, you wouldn't be grateful for solutions. Jesus said,
- 11:00I have said these things to you that in Me, in Christ,
- 11:03in a relation, not in a religion, not in a certain church or
- 11:07denomination, not doing just good deeds, not just having faith without works.
- 11:15In Christ, you will have peace. That's a promise. And the other
- 11:20side of the promise is in the world you will have tribulation. So there's
- 11:24two things going on. According to what I see what Jesus is saying here,
- 11:28there's a peace that you have from Him, and the world doesn't promise
- 11:33that the world promises trouble, tribulation, drama, chaos. Amen, have
- 11:39you noticed that the world is broken? It was never supposed to be this
- 11:43heart. I tell people when people are facing death, or when it's death
- 11:50in my family or in a family or friend's family. I said, I
- 11:54always tell people, it's never. It wasn't never supposed to be this way,
- 11:56wasn't supposed to be this heart a man. The original intent of God
- 12:00was for us to live forever. But Genesis chapter three shows up right the
- 12:05enemy of our souls, the serpent, the deceiver, shows up in the
- 12:11perfect situation, the perfect garden, and he manipulates and he deceives Eve to
- 12:16believe that she could disobey God and be like him at the same time.
- 12:22And then that's the fall of man created a need for a redeemer. And
- 12:26the argument is knew everything. Why would he allow Eve to be deceived?
- 12:33And he already knew he was that God is all knowing God, he's all
- 12:37over loving God, he's all holy guy, he's all righteous God. Amen.
- 12:41So he had a plan before that happened. It's evident that he had
- 12:45a plan. The fall of man created a need for a redeemer, and
- 12:48that redeemer is the Lord Jesus. It was never supposed to be this hard.
- 12:52Have you ever said these words to yourself? Man? Like, why
- 12:56is this going on? Why is this happening? Why are we going through
- 12:58so much pain and trouble and chaos? I've been there, have you?
- 13:05We all have different problems, amen, and we all have problems in our
- 13:11relationships. Sometimes it could be messy. Right. Parenting it doesn't come with
- 13:18a handbook, amen, even though there's training and this, that and the
- 13:20third and it's counseling and it's people who write books about parent thing. But
- 13:24every child is different, so we have to go with the flow of every
- 13:28child. My two daughters are totally different. So we can have just a
- 13:33handbook and one size fits all type of thing. Relationships, parenting, jobs,
- 13:41money, money demands, money issues. In this world, we will
- 13:46have trials and tribulations. It's to promise. On top of all the other
- 13:50stress of Martin day living, social media distractions, all that we have a
- 13:58lot of other people are facing per secution for their faith. We have a
- 14:01brother and sister in Christ right now. You have a brother and sister in
- 14:03Christ right now. On the other side of the world somewhere that's getting persecuted
- 14:09for their faith in Christ, even up to death, because they refuse to
- 14:13bow suan idol. They refuse to bow to religion, and they have a
- 14:18union with Christ and they will not say no that they don't have a fellowship,
- 14:22they don't have a relationship with Christ. And because of that, they're
- 14:24being persecuted. A men over here in America, we're just chose to shut
- 14:28up and go away. Other parts of the world, they're being shut up
- 14:31or you will die. Amen. So we have problems. It chooes as
- 14:35trials. Still, others are facing persecution for their faith in Christ that ranges
- 14:41from losing their jobs to losing their lives. So what's really supposed to be
- 14:48Was it really supposed to be this difficult? Is this promise from Jesus something
- 14:50that he just uttered because he felt like it or did he know something a
- 14:56little bit about something something? God knows all things? Amen? He said
- 15:00this. He said this because in the beginning Genesis one and two perfect situation,
- 15:07everything was good. Then we read that God created the heavens and the
- 15:11earth. There was beauty and peace, there was harmony and rest and fellowship.
- 15:16With God, everything was alive, everything was perfect, and there was
- 15:22no death. It was perfection. But then in Genesis chapter three, sin
- 15:31entered the world. People say, well, God created sin. God created
- 15:35sin enter the world through the fall of man disobedience. Amen. So we
- 15:39got to speak what the Word speaks, not make something up, make arguments
- 15:45that fall short of any kind of scriptural integrity. Amen. The Bible says
- 15:50what the Bible says. The word of God stands. The Word of God
- 15:54is true. So if you want to make something up and put something in
- 15:56there, that's on you. But if the scripture doesn't say, it's I'm
- 16:00not going to repeat a certain thing that the scripture don't say, it's a
- 16:03waste of my time, and it's a waste of your time. We have
- 16:06the word, let's read it right, Let's ask God to help us understand
- 16:10it, and let's believe in it and walk in it and work the word
- 16:12out. Let the Word of God work out itself in our hearts and our
- 16:17minds, sind them to the world through the Serpent's deception and Adam and Eve's
- 16:22disobedience. Immediately following me. After that, we see that the consequences of
- 16:27sin make life a whole lot more complicated for everybody. Listen, I wasn't
- 16:33there. You weren't there when Adam and Eve had the situation with the serpent.
- 16:37But because of that disobedience, since they represent them all mankind, we
- 16:44now are challenged with the consequences of what they did back in the garden the
- 16:48veden. Is that fair? I think it is the men. They're mankind.
- 16:52They're representing us. If I represent somebody right and I act a fool,
- 16:56my representation is going to reflect on the people I'm representing. It's just
- 17:02that simple. Amen. So if you see me acting crazy and I'm representing
- 17:07Jesus, then you might have an idea that, well, if he's representing
- 17:14that God that he serves that way, then that God must be off.
- 17:18That's the way humans think. But in all actuality, the consequences that we're
- 17:26suffering from, or that we're experiencing, is from the fall of Adam and
- 17:30Eve, Amen, to this very day. But there's good news about that
- 17:34because Jesus said, you must be born again. So we're born in Adam
- 17:38right and Sin right, but we could be born again, and then Jesus,
- 17:44since he already dealt with the sin that he could take care of all
- 17:47the other stuff and that we have going on in our lives. So immediately
- 17:51following that, we see that the consequences of sin make life a whole lot
- 17:55more complicated for everybody. For the woman, pain taught during childbirth right increased.
- 18:03It conflicts any way of thinking that you have, because it says in
- 18:11a scripture that now the woman will give have pain during childbirth. For the
- 18:18man, providing food for the family became backbreaking work. Right as the ground
- 18:22became cursed. Man wasn't cursed. The ground was cursed because the ground.
- 18:27Remember, the ground was already All Adam had to do was till the ground.
- 18:33Everything was already grown. If you read the scriptures closely, in the
- 18:37beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He created everything. He
- 18:38shows up as creator, God, provider, God, Spirit of God.
- 18:44Amen. He shows up those three ways first in the creation story, right,
- 18:48and he created everything before he created man. He created everything that man
- 18:52would ever need. Then he created the man, and then he created one
- 18:55suitable for the man, Eve. So all they had to do was take
- 18:59care of it was already growing. It was already there, beautiful, right.
- 19:03But because of the fall of man. Now a man has to provide
- 19:07food for the family with work sweat from the brow. Right, worst of
- 19:11all human beings become mortal. Became mortal as death enter the world because there
- 19:17was no death before the fall of man. I hope you understand what I'm
- 19:21talking about. Before the fall of man, there was no sickness, disease,
- 19:25death. Right, God's original intent was God's original tent. In the
- 19:30beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, created everything that man would
- 19:33ever need, mankind would ever need. Everything was already there. Amen.
- 19:37All we had to do was till the ground. All we had to do
- 19:41was take care of what God already had given us. But the devil was
- 19:47a deceiver. He's a liar. He lies since the beginning, the Bible
- 19:49says. So because of all of that, we became mortal as death into
- 20:00the world. So even though it was never supposed to be that hard or
- 20:03this hard, it is this hard. So in today's verse, Jesus told
- 20:10us to expect to expect it. It's to promise expect tribulation. The NIV
- 20:15translation says, to expect trouble. How many people say that there's trouble in
- 20:19your life, or trouble is coming, or trouble is around the corner,
- 20:23or you've been through trouble. We all could raise our hands to say yes
- 20:26Amen, because it's part of life. For the people who say that our
- 20:30scriptures are irrelevant, they're a bunch of liars. They're lying to themselves,
- 20:36deceiving yourself. You mean to tell me that you have no trouble, no
- 20:40trial, no tribulation. Jesus promised that in the world, right, he
- 20:45promised that in this world, but in him, he also promised, in
- 20:48him, you have peace. That's why Christians, believers, in Christ,
- 20:52Christ's followers, we could have the worst of time, the worst of days,
- 20:56and still have this inner peace. And people realize and they recognize that
- 21:00inner peace and say, how are these people after all the persecution, death,
- 21:06trial, trouble, tribulation, let down's failure, how are they still
- 21:10walking around thanking God and peace? Because we're in Christ. We're in this
- 21:17world, but we're not of this world. Because we're in Christ. So
- 21:19we're part of a kingdom that never dies, a kingdom that's always alive and
- 21:26lit up in light, kingdom has always has peace, a kingdom of kindness,
- 21:30a kingdom of mercy, a kingdom of grace, a kingdom of God
- 21:33and man. We're a part of that kingdom. And this kingdom of this
- 21:37world doesn't have the peace that God offers through Jesus. So yes, in
- 21:42this world we will have trials, troubles, tribulation, but in Christ we
- 21:47have peace. Those are promises from our Lord. Speak it out, read
- 21:52it right. Don't believe the lie of the enemy saying, oh, it's
- 21:56always going to be chaos for your life. You're never gonna have peace.
- 22:00You never got experience peace while he's lying, because Jesus just said that in
- 22:04Christ, in Him, we have peace. So trouble, temptation, trials,
- 22:12tribulations, trauma, you could call those like the terrible teas a man,
- 22:18all those things are unwanted promises, right for any human if you're honest,
- 22:23you don't want that. Who wants trials, tribulations? Who wants to
- 22:29be tested all the times? Who wants to be tested all the times?
- 22:32Who wants to go through trauma all the time? Who wants to go through
- 22:34trials all the time? Those are the terrible teas, whatever you want to
- 22:37call them. The world is full of them. Whatever the case, whatever
- 22:41type of trouble, whatever type of pain, let down, failure, temptation,
- 22:45all that the world offers, and actually the world paints it like it's
- 22:49something nice, something beautiful. The world tells us that what's wrong is right,
- 22:55and what's right is wrong. The world tells us that sin is the
- 22:57thing to be doing because everybody else is doing it. And the world tells
- 23:03you that there is no God. The world tells you that there is no
- 23:04consequence for sin. The world tells you that you could do whatever you want
- 23:08with whoever you want, get all you can can, all you get,
- 23:12and all that the world caters to the flesh. God wants to fill us
- 23:18with his spirit in Christ's peace in the world trouble. So listen to this,
- 23:25so we have the peace of God in a troubled world. People who
- 23:30don't have Christ Jesus in their life, they have trouble, trials, temptation,
- 23:36tribulations, trauma, and without Christ, they're in a crisis. They
- 23:41have no peace, and from that they're going to experience things that they will
- 23:45never want experience. And that's gonna be There's gonna be no hope for a
- 23:51hopeless person that has no hope in Christ, they won't have no peace,
- 23:55they will have no hope, they will have no future to look forward to.
- 23:59That's why you have a say, Ah, once you die, we're
- 24:02just out of here because they don't have no hope. There's no hope at
- 24:04the end of their life. Amen. But we're in Christ. Amen,
- 24:10we have hope in eternal life, for eternal life because we have Jesus and
- 24:15the peace of God. So we'll go through really hard things. I've been
- 24:18through hard things. Probably we'll go through harder things in the future. Amen.
- 24:22But I have the peace of God, and so do you if you're
- 24:26in Christ Jesus. So we have to persevere, have to endure great suffering.
- 24:32It's coming. Jesus promised it. But he also promised peace in Him.
- 24:36I love it. It's not peace in the religion. It's not peace
- 24:38in a system. It's not peace in a certain denomination, it's not peace
- 24:41in a certain church. It's peace in Christ. In Him. He said,
- 24:45come to me. He didn't say go over there, go over there
- 24:48and worship over there where. He said, worship Him in spirit and in
- 24:52truth, and in Christ we have peace. We would experience pain and loss
- 24:57and death and on that a man. It's an unwanted promise. I don't
- 25:03I hate death. People could tell you I'm torn every time we lose a
- 25:07loved one. I don't know if I should celebrate the life or more and
- 25:10to death. I think it's both. We mourn, we mourn, and
- 25:15we celebrate. If the person is in Christ, we celebrate the life and
- 25:19we don't mourn like the world mourns. If a person dies without Christ,
- 25:25we all should be mourning for that soul that's going to have an eternal life
- 25:30set apart from the goodness of God. And that's a sad thing. That's
- 25:34a sad One of the saddest funerals I've ever been to is going to funerals
- 25:40of people that reject the God, that didn't have Christ in their hearts and
- 25:44their minds and their lives, and they die, and then what There's no
- 25:49turning back from that. Amen. I know a lot of people don't believe
- 25:52what we believe, but listen, if you don't believe what we believe,
- 25:56investigate the claims of Jesus. See what Jesus spoke, Go read what Jesus
- 26:03said in the scriptures, and make a rational Please make a decision for yourself.
- 26:07Stop following the naysayers, amen, and follow the Christ that's in the
- 26:14scriptures, Amen, the Christ that brings life, and then you make the
- 26:18decision from there. Don't cut yourself short following people who are just miserable anyway.
- 26:25They're in the world. They do what they do because they don't know
- 26:29anything else to do. They don't know what good is. And you're following
- 26:33them, and you're just gonna be more miserable, and you're gonna be more
- 26:37impacted by what they're saying. I challenge you right now, stop following them
- 26:42and go to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Read the scriptures
- 26:45for yourself and make a decision for yourself whether or not Jesus is telling the
- 26:51truth or he's lying. Amen. But Jesus isn't any old friend that we
- 26:56could just go up to and be like, Okay, we have problems and
- 27:00boohoo. He's the son of the Living God. He's di vine, he's
- 27:03all powerful, he's all knowing, he's all present. He's the savior of
- 27:07the world. He's the snake crusher Genesis chapter three, verse fifteen. He's
- 27:12the overcomer, he's the restorer in Christ. We can have peace from his
- 27:18warning, from his warning to expect tribulation, because it gives us healthy expectations
- 27:25in Him. We have peace in this world. We will have trouble.
- 27:27I don't know about you, but knowing what to expect is far better than
- 27:33the fear of the unknown. Amen. And we'll probably revisit this another time
- 27:37amount of time. But go to John chapter number sixteen. Read the whole
- 27:41chapter for yourself. Realize that this priment, although it might be unwanted on
- 27:47the one end, but you cann't want the peace of God totally on the
- 27:49first part of this scripture. Amen. So God bless you all, got
- 27:53to keep you all and remember always that God is good. Please,
