A Few Moments With ZZ Ward

Eye On Annapolis Daily News Brief · Mar 18, 2026 · 14m

ZZ Ward is bringing her blues-soaked rock and soul sound to Rams Head On Stage on March 22, and we caught up with her ahead of the show for a fun conversation about performing live, what makes an intimate room like Rams Head special, and what fans can expect when she hits the Annapolis stage.

We also got into her songwriting, her musical roots, when she knew she had h"her" sound, her American Idol tryout, and a couple of the offbeat questions we love to ask, including her bucket-list collaborator and the song from her catalog she never gets tired of performing.

Have a listen!
