- 0:23Speaker 2: represents represent that represents Cheffy.
- 0:25Speaker 4: According JD Power, Chevy trucks have earned more New Vehicle
- 0:28Speaker 4: awards than any other brand, and that has some serious hardware.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Head over to Chevy dot com to learn more. Silverado
- 0:32Speaker 4: is strong and dependable as the people who drive them.
- 0:34Speaker 4: For JD Power twenty twenty two US award information is
- 0:37Speaker 4: a JD power dot Com slash Awards. I wish I
- 0:39Speaker 4: could read like that all the time. Go ahead and
- 0:41Speaker 4: tell the people.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Bro.
- 0:42Speaker 4: We are in a group chat yeah with Matt to
- 0:44Speaker 4: bed last night and I wake up to one hundred
- 0:48Speaker 4: text messages on my phone.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Yeah, from a group chat called chirp sash. It is myself, Taylor,
- 0:53Speaker 2: Matt Sassman. Shout out the boy, Matt Sasmin sass. Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah, he's he's the security guard of Dana White.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Yeah yeah.
- 0:59Speaker 4: And if you think he's like, who is Matt sasman,
- 1:01Speaker 4: he looks like the rock guy from Fantastic Four, Like
- 1:04Speaker 4: he's like a fat Dana White.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06Speaker 2: So we get it going, and I was like, hey, Matt,
- 1:08Speaker 2: I I oh, and Max Crosby, Max the boys in
- 1:10Speaker 2: the is in the group chat as well, and I
- 1:12Speaker 2: start the whole thing off. I'm like, hey, Matt, I
- 1:14Speaker 2: added your photo as your contact and then just send
- 1:17Speaker 2: a photo golum the Pokemon. Just get the thing started.
- 1:21Speaker 2: And we're literally, like Taylor said a hundred text, We're
- 1:24Speaker 2: just laying in bed. I'm just laughing, bro, because we're
- 1:26Speaker 2: just all chirping. He's chirping the ship out of Max
- 1:29Speaker 2: because Max, you know, he's got the jewelry on.
- 1:31Speaker 1: He's like he's dressed like an five inch shorts going
- 1:34Speaker 1: to AAU basket.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, and we're just everyone's just killing each other.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Taylor wakes up.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Taylor sends a chirp out because I think Matt Taylor
- 1:42Speaker 2: sends the Fantastic four gift and then uh, Matt, chirps
- 1:47Speaker 2: us all you all do so much better over text
- 1:48Speaker 2: than live. I'm happy to take the l and then
- 1:50Speaker 2: starts chirping Max again, and Max only brought box of
- 1:53Speaker 2: shorts and white forest.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Oh no.
- 1:55Speaker 2: And then Taylor he's like, Max has never been known,
- 1:59Speaker 2: Max has never been known around the league as the
- 2:01Speaker 2: smartest guy. Just a completely athlete, and so we just
- 2:04Speaker 2: put it the laughing thing on it. And then Matt
- 2:06Speaker 2: goes better than just a regularly athlete. I reckon, I said,
- 2:10Speaker 2: as you can read, as you can read here, neither
- 2:12Speaker 2: has Taylor two specimens with just animal brains, and Taylor goes.
- 2:15Speaker 2: The sad thing is I reread that text before I
- 2:18Speaker 2: sent that. And then Matt also says group chats already
- 2:20Speaker 2: got you sweating, double checking your fourth text out out
- 2:23Speaker 2: the gate and just fumbling the bag and where everyone's
- 2:26Speaker 2: just like laughing.
- 2:27Speaker 1: It's it's pretty stressful in there, dude. It's literally like war.
- 2:31Speaker 4: You go to your phone, you go to that group
- 2:32Speaker 4: chat's been around for twelve hours.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Nothing better than a good group chat, man, I'm telling you,
- 2:38Speaker 2: And that that right there, I think I have mine.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Later this episode, in the intro from my shot out
- 2:42Speaker 2: no free shout.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Out, Oh no, well, we don't have shout out, no
- 2:45Speaker 4: free shot. We have to your talk today. I thought
- 2:47Speaker 4: we do shot out no free shot out of the
- 2:48Speaker 4: showree shout out yesterday.
- 2:50Speaker 1: I don't know for a shot out to group chats.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Am I right?
- 2:52Speaker 4: Boys shout out? No for shoutout to group chats for real? No,
- 2:57Speaker 4: it is Tuesday. Usually film this on Wednesday. But you're

- 3:23Speaker 4: did head over to Jakes one point. Was a great time.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I got that chicken on a stick that's on the corner.
- 3:28Speaker 1: Was the was the Jakes the bar we went to
- 3:29Speaker 1: last time? What was the outdoor? With the outdoor? What's
- 3:31Speaker 1: the weather like out there right now? A bitch chili?
- 3:36Speaker 4: Fuck brother, it's it's March handle sixty. Is it gonna
- 3:41Speaker 4: be sunny? Is all I care about?

- 4:09Speaker 2: We will be in Austin, Texas. Oh yeah, dude, get
- 4:12Speaker 2: your tickets there live. The tickets are rolling right now.
- 4:15Speaker 2: It's going to be at a comedy club. And right
- 4:17Speaker 2: after our show, a guy named Joe Rogan. If I
- 4:21Speaker 2: don't know if you guys have heard of him, he's
- 4:22Speaker 2: also doing a show.
- 4:24Speaker 4: He's got a he's got a decent podcast. We might
- 4:26Speaker 4: stick around and watch it. Maybe shake his hand and
- 4:28Speaker 4: shake his hand, do it. Do the man a favor.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Text the entire group chat we have of just get
- 4:33Speaker 2: all the boys in a group chat. Brian Callen, Burt Kreischer,
- 4:36Speaker 2: Shane Gillis all.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Over all the boys.
- 4:39Speaker 3: Chandler.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Chandler's been on a pod Chaandler, Daniel White, Dana everybody
- 4:44Speaker 2: texts Rogan right now and say, hey, the boys. The
- 4:46Speaker 2: boys are going to be there, like you need to
- 4:47Speaker 2: shake their hand and potentially come on the bus.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Yeah, well we've already been told there's no way he's
- 4:52Speaker 4: going to come on the bus. It's all about us
- 4:53Speaker 4: getting on his show now. No, just means there's you know,
- 4:56Speaker 4: there's opportunity.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah, No means there's opportunity. No, just means there's opportunity.
- 5:02Speaker 1: That's all it means.
- 5:03Speaker 2: No, just means there's opportunity in there somewhere. Make a graphic.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I want that quote.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Quote.
- 5:10Speaker 4: I really feel like the move when we do meet
- 5:13Speaker 4: Joe and blow his socks off is the start off
- 5:15Speaker 4: by name dropping everyone that we also know exactly.
- 5:17Speaker 1: That's the only thing to do.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Jo heard a lot about you, heard a lot about
- 5:19Speaker 2: you from friends Christ for Dana White.
- 5:22Speaker 1: We were just with Dana White last week. Yeah, great guy, Yeah,
- 5:25Speaker 1: a great guy.
- 5:26Speaker 2: Dude.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Man, did he gamble with you too? Did he invite
- 5:29Speaker 1: you to Power Slot?
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:30Speaker 4: No, that's crazy. We're pretty close with them. We're pretty
- 5:33Speaker 4: close with Dana, but hey, maybe we should uh do
- 5:37Speaker 4: shows together.
- 5:37Speaker 2: They literally all tell us you should meet Joe Rogan
- 5:39Speaker 2: and go on his podcast. We're like, a, you know,
- 5:41Speaker 2: we'll meet the guy and see what he's like.
- 5:43Speaker 4: And it's and it's so funny, like the delusion that
- 5:47Speaker 4: they have that they're like, you guys should just go
- 5:48Speaker 4: on his show, and it's like, Yo, you ac stually
- 5:51Speaker 4: meet joy.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Why have you guys been on the Joe Rogan experience?
- 5:54Speaker 2: Who was who was it? That explains because of course
- 5:57Speaker 2: every time that somebody's on that we have some money
- 6:00Speaker 2: on that we know is boys with Joe.
- 6:01Speaker 1: We're like, hey, you know, what's the Joe deal? With Joe?
- 6:04Speaker 2: Oh? I forget who it was. But they're like if
- 6:07Speaker 2: you once you won, you'll be on. It's more of
- 6:09Speaker 2: like he's just gotta want you one. Unfortunately for you guys,
- 6:12Speaker 2: he's not much of a football guy. Like he's he's
- 6:15Speaker 2: in MMA, he's in outdoor stuff. Well, you you know,
- 6:18Speaker 2: having the politicians and scientists of the world on.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Well, people need to know this. Well, and I have
- 6:24Speaker 1: talked about doing MMA.
- 6:25Speaker 4: Actually we actually we did a little grappling I get
- 6:28Speaker 4: Vegas and so it looks like we're getting into his world.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know, after this episode. I think I'm
- 6:34Speaker 2: gonna go to Cabela's and get us both bow and arrows.
- 6:37Speaker 2: We're gonna start learning how to speaking up dude.
- 6:40Speaker 4: For whatever reason, I thought about your birthday September nineteenth. Yeah,
- 6:43Speaker 4: I just want to say that, just well, that my
- 6:46Speaker 4: birthday now. Yeah, I always say suchever seventy. But also
- 6:50Speaker 4: I know what I'm getting me for your birthday and
- 6:51Speaker 4: it's March, So.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Should I not go get the bow and arrow?
- 6:54Speaker 4: No, No, that just came into my head. All right,
- 6:57Speaker 4: get the bow and arrow. We need to get good
- 6:58Speaker 4: at that. Yeah, we need you get good at that.
- 7:00Speaker 4: But it also plays into the Joe thing. So something
- 7:03Speaker 4: to think about. What's going on, dude, what are we
- 7:05Speaker 4: up to? What's our podcast today is? Brian Callen came
- 7:09Speaker 4: on comedian obviously does Spider and the Kid, does a
- 7:12Speaker 4: lot of stuff, has done some acting.
- 7:13Speaker 1: His most prestigious role was the guy in The Hangover.
- 7:17Speaker 4: No, he was the Hangover. He was the Hangover, was
- 7:20Speaker 4: The Warriors him and Zach was the Joker. He was
- 7:24Speaker 4: all of these movies. Yeah he's a stud. Yeah he's
- 7:26Speaker 4: a fucking stud. Very funny individual, but very enlightening individual
- 7:30Speaker 4: at the same time, dude, a lot of fucking deep conversations.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I've never been so locked in on a conversation in
- 7:36Speaker 2: my life. I think everybody who's listening right now you
- 7:39Speaker 2: need to listen to this entire episode of Brian, Like
- 7:41Speaker 2: the dude just spits nothing but wisdom. And I'm telling you,
- 7:45Speaker 2: my mouth open just staring at him. You could hear
- 7:47Speaker 2: the silence, you could hear this stuff going on outside
- 7:49Speaker 2: of the warehouse. That's how quiet I feel like it
- 7:52Speaker 2: was because we were all just locked in listening to,
- 7:55Speaker 2: you know, his life experiences with everything.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Him just putting game on us. Dude, Yeah, legit loves philosophy.
- 8:01Speaker 2: He loves the philosophy world, I feel like more than
- 8:04Speaker 2: all the comedy and everything else. But obviously he has
- 8:06Speaker 2: a lot of funnies, high energy, uh, and he's a
- 8:09Speaker 2: great time. But I think everybody's gonna get so much
- 8:11Speaker 2: out of this episode. So if you're going in for
- 8:13Speaker 2: some last there'll be some laughs in there, but your
- 8:15Speaker 2: mind's gonna be blown with just conversation with this guy.
- 8:18Speaker 4: I would suggest getting a notepad and a pen out
- 8:21Speaker 4: just there you go, Yes, stuff that's about to happen
- 8:23Speaker 4: to your life.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It's gonna get a whole lot better. And that's legit.
- 8:26Speaker 1: That's legit.
- 8:26Speaker 2: You really should get a note at out and write
- 8:28Speaker 2: some shit down.
- 8:29Speaker 4: He's got a quote about a wolf, Dude, he's got
- 8:31Speaker 4: a quote about a wolf at the door.
- 8:32Speaker 1: I forgot it right now, but it's fantastic.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like the wolf at the door is a luxury.
- 8:39Speaker 2: The wolf at the door is luxury.
- 8:41Speaker 1: Yeah, it is a luxury. Yeah yeah, no, uh, well yeah,
- 8:45Speaker 1: I don't.
- 8:47Speaker 4: No, uh dude, no, uh the wolf at the door
- 8:50Speaker 4: is luxury.
- 8:53Speaker 2: But it's a Yeah, it's phenomenal. It's a great podcast.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Do we have to your talks? Yeah, Jack. The good
- 9:01Speaker 2: news for everybody listening that want shorter intros, You're about
- 9:05Speaker 2: to have a shorter intro.
- 9:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 9:06Speaker 2: I do believe that the majority do like our longer intros.
- 9:09Speaker 2: They like our pre show to the show.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Yeah, I do love a pre show. What intro, the
- 9:17Speaker 4: pre show, the intro to the show. Yeah, the appreciate
- 9:20Speaker 4: to the show, these dumb motherfuckers.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Yeah, we had a banger to your talk last week.
- 9:26Speaker 5: What was there RHYMI?
- 9:27Speaker 1: Again, it was a favorite albums best Oh yeah, that was.
- 9:30Speaker 5: A lot of good responses.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Online.
- 9:32Speaker 5: Yeah, that one can go really any direction.
- 9:34Speaker 6: I feel like I've got some lists for y'all we
- 9:38Speaker 6: could do. I think we've done Days of the Week, correct,
- 9:43Speaker 6: Maybe I don't think we have, So we can do
- 9:45Speaker 6: best days of the week. We can do best social
- 9:47Speaker 6: media platforms. This one going off of Birds episode Best
- 9:52Speaker 6: People you would want to go out with? Like, it
- 9:55Speaker 6: could be fictional or like a normal person, but someone
- 9:58Speaker 6: you'd want to go.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Out with, you know what I mean? The night hit
- 10:03Speaker 1: the town?
- 10:03Speaker 5: Yeah, somebody you want to be a party with.
- 10:05Speaker 6: It can be I'm saying, like a happy Gilmore or
- 10:07Speaker 6: something like that, like, or it could be real, like
- 10:10Speaker 6: a George W.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Bush if that's your cup of tea. Nine to eleven
- 10:14Speaker 5: wasn't inside job.
- 10:15Speaker 6: But anyways, yeah, well any any any I like the
- 10:22Speaker 6: last one.
- 10:23Speaker 1: I like the I like the who would you want
- 10:24Speaker 1: to go out with?
- 10:25Speaker 7: Ya?
- 10:25Speaker 5: I think I think that plays well with Burt.
- 10:27Speaker 4: When you said the Burt Kriser thing, I thought it
- 10:28Speaker 4: was me, who would you want to fuck?
- 10:30Speaker 1: Because he has I.
- 10:31Speaker 5: Think that's just where your head's at right now.
- 10:33Speaker 2: Morning, at the.
- 10:35Speaker 3: End of the day, I am what I am.
- 10:38Speaker 5: Tier talk.
- 10:40Speaker 6: Best person you would want to party with and it
- 10:43Speaker 6: can be a fictional character or a real life character people, yes,
- 10:49Speaker 6: fiction or non.
- 10:51Speaker 1: Can we spice us up and say people we don't know?
- 10:54Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's sure. I feel like a god's here guy.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Guy would be a Burt.
- 10:59Speaker 6: Could be Yeah, and we could pay homage to him
- 11:01Speaker 6: just because his episode.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but I mean I don't think he's got here.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I don't know if he's not.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Shane's a good time. You can't drink a beer wor ship,
- 11:15Speaker 1: but he's a good hang. I know that. My head
- 11:18Speaker 1: is just obviously in the episode, since we're.
- 11:19Speaker 7: Talking about it, we're at a break right now, right, No, no, yeah,
- 11:23Speaker 7: this is live.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Then.
- 11:24Speaker 7: Yeah, when you put like animated or like fictional movie
- 11:28Speaker 7: characters in the I don't know in it, like Shane
- 11:31Speaker 7: and Bird do not make the list.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it changes the entire game.
- 11:36Speaker 5: We could do a real one and then circle back.
- 11:38Speaker 3: No, no, no, I like this.
- 11:40Speaker 4: Should we do Should we do fictional another week?
- 11:44Speaker 2: Yeah? I like that all right, And if you guys
- 11:46Speaker 2: have ideas, if you're watching right now and you have ideas,
- 11:48Speaker 2: drop him in the comments. Because there's never enough ideas
- 11:51Speaker 2: for tear talk, never enough ideas for tear talk. We
- 11:54Speaker 2: should probably find an email too that people can we
- 11:57Speaker 2: can start, like, hey, email this to give us ideas
- 11:59Speaker 2: for Tier.
- 12:00Speaker 7: At one point, we need to do a best Wills.
- 12:04Speaker 7: We need to do a best Wills and the best
- 12:05Speaker 7: Taylor's just like Wills around Will Smith, Will Ferrell, Taylor Swift.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Keyler Lockner.
- 12:14Speaker 4: He just said, JP, but that would be hilarious JP
- 12:18Speaker 4: at BUSTONWTV dot com.
- 12:20Speaker 7: Email that right now. I'm sure you'll get a lot
- 12:22Speaker 7: of responses.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Yeah, because that's.
- 12:25Speaker 7: Not my email because Taylor just learned how to use
- 12:27Speaker 7: email last week.
- 12:30Speaker 4: All right, what is it I'm looking up? I will
- 12:32Speaker 4: say right now, Big Breakley will be right back. We're back, JP,
- 12:38Speaker 4: Tier talk. Greatest fictional characters to party with? You are up?
- 12:43Speaker 1: Sir, Yes, sir yes, sir.
- 12:51Speaker 7: My I took partying with as going out with h
- 12:57Speaker 7: the night just then hanging out with them, honorable mention.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Master Ugway.
- 13:05Speaker 7: I've looked up to Master Ugay for a long time,
- 13:07Speaker 7: and I think a night out with Master Ugay would
- 13:10Speaker 7: serve me well and everybody that I know well. Tier three,
- 13:14Speaker 7: I've never been in a in a bar fight before,
- 13:17Speaker 7: so this person I'm choosing because they're animated. This is
- 13:20Speaker 7: probably a fantasy scenario. Anyways, this is what I would want.
- 13:23Speaker 7: By my side. Tier three is Popeye. Popeye would be
- 13:27Speaker 7: a blast to go out with. Tier two Chicken Joe.
- 13:33Speaker 3: Fuck you, bro, that's fucking.
- 13:36Speaker 1: What what.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Chicken Joe?
- 13:43Speaker 7: Because I feel like we have a very similar vibe
- 13:45Speaker 7: to each other. We're both like relaxed and just have
- 13:48Speaker 7: a good time no matter where we're at. Don't let
- 13:50Speaker 7: the things, don't let the little things bother us. And
- 13:53Speaker 7: Tier one Patrick Starr. I don't think I need to
- 13:57Speaker 7: elaborate on that. Everybody knows my love for SpongeBob. See there'
- 14:00Speaker 7: SpongeBob or Patrick, And I'm going with SpongeBob.
- 14:03Speaker 1: You're going with Patrick?
- 14:04Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 14:04Speaker 1: Sorry, sorry, I'm going with Patrick. Crazy SpongeBob ain't even
- 14:08Speaker 1: make the list.
- 14:10Speaker 2: It's tough.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Yeah, he is my background. Yeah, I can't wait to
- 14:19Speaker 1: see that clip.
- 14:20Speaker 5: Behavior honestly, don't do that.
- 14:23Speaker 3: Copied, creative copy copy.
- 14:29Speaker 1: But I went first, young cartoon kid ship.
- 14:51Speaker 2: Jackie.
- 14:51Speaker 1: What do you got, buddy?
- 14:53Speaker 5: My honorable mention.
- 14:55Speaker 6: And I don't know if you guys even know these
- 14:57Speaker 6: guys are, but I know I'm gonna hit the mographic
- 15:00Speaker 6: out there. But it goes to the boys from New
- 15:03Speaker 6: Girl Schmidt, Winston, Nick and Coach. It would be an
- 15:09Speaker 6: electric night. And that's all I'm gonna say. Honorable mention.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Honorable mention to three people.
- 15:16Speaker 3: In their group.
- 15:17Speaker 5: They remain as a group.
- 15:18Speaker 1: He did ask that question while we were in time out,
- 15:20Speaker 1: did he?
- 15:21Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 15:21Speaker 1: We can do groups? Interesting?
- 15:25Speaker 5: May I continue?
- 15:26Speaker 2: Sure?
- 15:30Speaker 6: I'd like to apologize to JP because my Tier three
- 15:34Speaker 6: is Chicken Joe as well, and Chicken Joe would not
- 15:36Speaker 6: want any hatred or negativity. All he'd want is positive
- 15:41Speaker 6: energy and just a relaxing night, probably at a tiki bar somewhere,
- 15:45Speaker 6: and we ended up in another country at some point,
- 15:47Speaker 6: and that's just how it goes.
- 15:48Speaker 3: So I'd like to.
- 15:49Speaker 5: Formally apologize because that's how we roll.
- 15:53Speaker 6: My Tier two would be Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad.
- 15:59Speaker 6: You're getting into a fuck and crazy night with him,
- 16:01Speaker 6: mister White, you know, the whole thing.
- 16:04Speaker 3: Who knows what.
- 16:05Speaker 5: You're gonna be doing?
- 16:06Speaker 6: People and died, But yeah, that's why, you know, like
- 16:09Speaker 6: it's kind of one of those if you're rolling the dice,
- 16:12Speaker 6: you really are, it'd be a wild one and I
- 16:14Speaker 6: know I'm gonna get some positive feedback with that. But
- 16:17Speaker 6: my Tier one undeniably probably the greatest part here in
- 16:21Speaker 6: fictional history. Rick Sanchez from Rick and Morty Interdimensional Travel,
- 16:30Speaker 6: unlimited Resources to foreign narcotics and liquors alike. So I
- 16:39Speaker 6: know that the world's gonna have my back on that one.
- 16:42Speaker 1: It was everyone's low key scared of what the world's
- 16:44Speaker 1: gonna say.
- 16:44Speaker 2: It was always I know the world's gonna have my
- 16:47Speaker 2: back on that one.
- 16:48Speaker 5: And so yeah, that's that's my Tier one. Thank you
- 16:52Speaker 5: for for coming.
- 16:53Speaker 1: World destroyed this man one word, Mitch.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Can use them again.
- 17:00Speaker 6: And Joe the New Girl Boys.
- 17:04Speaker 5: Sanchez I a.
- 17:06Speaker 8: Good time, dangerous almost I've NATed drug addict, jesus.
- 17:18Speaker 4: I mean he just two of his were interdimensional drugs.
- 17:22Speaker 4: And one guy that people have odd around. Yeah, oh
- 17:28Speaker 4: we're partying, brother, we're getting after it.
- 17:31Speaker 9: Well you want to go? You want me to go? Mitch'
- 17:36Speaker 9: that's crazy, all right. So my honorable mention he just
- 17:41Speaker 9: this guy just seems like a good time. I feel
- 17:44Speaker 9: like all my my whole crew just seems like it's
- 17:47Speaker 9: just relatively a good time. But my honorable mention goes
- 17:51Speaker 9: to Ron Burgundy from The Anchorman he just I mean,
- 17:55Speaker 9: he just always is like the life of the party,
- 17:57Speaker 9: just is just gonna say some random ship and you
- 18:00Speaker 9: never know what's coming out of his mouth next. But
- 18:02Speaker 9: he seems fun. My tier three. The reason they're Tier
- 18:05Speaker 9: three is because I haven't watched this entire show, but
- 18:08Speaker 9: they look and like whenever the three of them are together,
- 18:12Speaker 9: they just it's just a bunch of laughs, and you
- 18:14Speaker 9: just add another person to the mix, it seems like
- 18:16Speaker 9: it's gonna be more fun. The Workaholics crew, so they
- 18:24Speaker 9: always like just a bunch of random shit that that's
- 18:28Speaker 9: going on with them.
- 18:30Speaker 3: My tier two.
- 18:31Speaker 9: The reason this guy is at my tier two the
- 18:35Speaker 9: stories that this man will be able to tell and
- 18:38Speaker 9: the adventures that this man has been on. I feel
- 18:40Speaker 9: like you could just sit there, have a beer rhythm
- 18:42Speaker 9: and just listen to him ramble most of the time, mumble.
- 18:45Speaker 9: But my tier two is Jack Sparrow from Pirates of
- 18:48Speaker 9: the Caribbean.
- 18:50Speaker 3: And then my tier one.
- 18:53Speaker 9: This guy might not be the biggest man of stature,
- 18:57Speaker 9: but he if you watch the show, you know this
- 18:59Speaker 9: man can drink, and you know this man has plenty
- 19:02Speaker 9: of stories and plenty of I guess drama about his
- 19:06Speaker 9: family and everything, and that is Tyry and Lanister and
- 19:10Speaker 9: that is my tear talk.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Bodied Hall of Fame.
- 19:24Speaker 5: I mean, I'm just that might be.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Well done, elite. That was very good man. That was
- 19:34Speaker 2: good Mitch.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Oh fuck, it changed my list. It doesn't involve anything
- 19:48Speaker 4: of Mitches. That would be unfair for me to do. Yeah, man, Mitch, it's.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Like, it's like, how do you follow that act?
- 19:55Speaker 1: Those those well done brothers.
- 19:57Speaker 4: Very well done? When he said workaholics, you knew we were.
- 20:02Speaker 4: It was over from there.
- 20:03Speaker 1: There's many options.
- 20:05Speaker 2: It's like the albums, too many options.
- 20:09Speaker 5: Broul thing about it? Will you the occasion.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Or yeah, that's exactly what Misch did. He swallowed it
- 20:18Speaker 1: whole all right, Willie.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Well, that's tough to follow. That is tough to follow. However,
- 20:31Speaker 2: I have been in my bag. My honorable mention is
- 20:38Speaker 2: going to go to, uh, Homer Simpson drinking with Homer Simpson.
- 20:42Speaker 2: The boy throws the dust beer down. Uh, you know,
- 20:45Speaker 2: he's going to be an incredible time. My Tier three
- 20:49Speaker 2: Stewie Griffin from Family Guy walking around with a baby dude,
- 20:53Speaker 2: all the inside banter and jokes, and not to mention,
- 20:56Speaker 2: you'll probably beot time traveling the entire night. My tier
- 21:00Speaker 2: two is gonna go to the wedding Crashers Duo, Vince
- 21:10Speaker 2: Vaughan and Owen Wilson. Obviously we can't use their real names,
- 21:13Speaker 2: need to hide their identity, but the wedding crashers.
- 21:16Speaker 1: Do John and.
- 21:25Speaker 7: Possible disqualification, possible disqualification, Oh god are their names?
- 21:33Speaker 2: John in seed? No, I have to throw something out there.
- 21:43Speaker 2: It's such a good one too, it's such a good one.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I'm not gonna get it.
- 21:48Speaker 2: Jeremy, Jeremy, that's right, Jeremy. Easier one too, I know
- 21:52Speaker 2: which which. Honestly, that's That's a brutal el to take
- 21:55Speaker 2: right there, because wedding crash are my favorite comedy of
- 21:56Speaker 2: all time. But the wedding Crashers, obviously you don't need
- 22:01Speaker 2: to say anymore. You can continue to pile on the
- 22:03Speaker 2: hate the comments out there for not knowing their names.
- 22:05Speaker 2: But the Wedding Crashers Duo my tier one. The versatility
- 22:09Speaker 2: you're gonna give these boys, whether you're gonna get in
- 22:11Speaker 2: a brawl at nighttime, whether you're gonna roam the sewers
- 22:14Speaker 2: of the city, and you're gonna get wisdom at the
- 22:16Speaker 2: end of the night after you fuck up. My Tier
- 22:19Speaker 2: one is gonna be the Ninja Turtles. You're rolling around
- 22:21Speaker 2: with them boys, you're eating pizza, you're having a great
- 22:23Speaker 2: time fighting crime and just having a blast with the boys.
- 22:26Speaker 2: All to go back have a little bit of fuck
- 22:28Speaker 2: up and you're gonna go back to Master Splinter and
- 22:30Speaker 2: he's gonna talk to you about you know, philosophy and
- 22:32Speaker 2: wisdom and why you should you know, think about your
- 22:34Speaker 2: decisions the next time. So that is my uh, that
- 22:37Speaker 2: is my tier talk on on people, fictional characters.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I would love to go out with for a night.
- 22:46Speaker 1: That's it. That's nice, nice.
- 22:54Speaker 5: Underage, That's what I say.
- 22:59Speaker 4: Young surprised, really thought us some Star Wars guys would
- 23:06Speaker 4: be in there.
- 23:07Speaker 5: We'll have a baby and four teenagers.
- 23:13Speaker 2: Due the Ninja Turtles.
- 23:15Speaker 6: Bro, I thought about the Ninja Turtles too, that would
- 23:17Speaker 6: have been that's a good one.
- 23:19Speaker 1: The group stuff is said the Avengers, right.
- 23:24Speaker 2: The group stuff is what went from Raphael to the
- 23:26Speaker 2: Ninja Turtles because in Rafael is gonna be my honorable mention.
- 23:29Speaker 2: But when I got all the Ninja Turtles, oh, they're
- 23:31Speaker 2: soaring to the top of this list. In retrospection, yeah,
- 23:36Speaker 2: groups is hard you already the Avengers my honorable mention,
- 23:45Speaker 2: My honorable.
- 23:46Speaker 1: Mention is going to go to DC Universe World.
- 23:51Speaker 4: He's gonna go to a world traveler who saves us
- 23:54Speaker 4: every single time he's on the big screen, and that
- 23:56Speaker 4: goes to James Bond. I think you go out with him,
- 23:59Speaker 4: You're gonna be dressed to nines having a good time.
- 24:02Speaker 4: All of a sudden there's gonna be somebody trying to
- 24:03Speaker 4: murder you.
- 24:04Speaker 1: But who saves you.
- 24:04Speaker 4: James Bond saves you, and you're still gonna have that
- 24:06Speaker 4: Martiniz shaking nuts Sturt. It's gonna be an incredible time
- 24:10Speaker 4: my Tier three as we're doing groups, the group from
- 24:15Speaker 4: super Troopers, going out with those cops, doing whatever the
- 24:18Speaker 4: fuck you want to do, having an absolute blast of
- 24:21Speaker 4: the boys getting rid of some Canadian weed. I think
- 24:25Speaker 4: it'd be such a fun time with those fellas. My
- 24:30Speaker 4: Tier two and I had to change this because you
- 24:33Speaker 4: had you had one in there that I took completely
- 24:35Speaker 4: took out. Is gonna go to Tony Stark, billionaire playboy,
- 24:41Speaker 4: fucking absolute scientist wizard. What a fucking time you've seen
- 24:45Speaker 4: in a couple of those movies, he's got a couple
- 24:47Speaker 4: extra bots with him, a couple of Ironman bots, you know,
- 24:49Speaker 4: who's gonna teach the boy how to fly a little
- 24:51Speaker 4: bit and we're gonna rip around.
- 24:52Speaker 1: It's gonna be a great fucking time.
- 24:54Speaker 4: And my Tier one goes to a man that's motivated
- 24:58Speaker 4: by heartbreak, who stares up in the distance and sees
- 25:01Speaker 4: that green light on a foggy morning from across the bay.
- 25:05Speaker 4: And that is going to go to the Jay Gatsby,
- 25:07Speaker 4: the greatest party thrower of all time.
- 25:12Speaker 1: That's my sort of talk. Now, I'm when to go
- 25:17Speaker 1: with the Wolf of Wall Street crew.
- 25:20Speaker 4: I thought about doing that too, but those are real guys.
- 25:23Speaker 4: That right where my head went, but it was technically
- 25:25Speaker 4: they're real.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Dude, No, I want Leonard.
- 25:27Speaker 2: I want Leonardo DiCaprio as the Wolf of Wall Street guy. Nope,
- 25:32Speaker 2: just we'll call him something else. Yeah, yeah, yeah, great.
- 25:41Speaker 10: Exquisite, wealthy, sophisticated.
- 25:55Speaker 3: All right.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I feel like we made a mistake with the groups.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Yeah, we did, because you could do groups on one
- 26:02Speaker 2: and you can do individuals on another.
- 26:04Speaker 4: I feel like sometimes these podcasts go from like doing
- 26:06Speaker 4: an episode of like an intro to us just talking
- 26:09Speaker 4: about how we can do the podcast better.
- 26:11Speaker 1: This is one of those episodes.
- 26:12Speaker 7: Since we are on the group topic, I would like
- 26:14Speaker 7: to point out, as people are listening, I was the
- 26:16Speaker 7: only one that didn't choose a group, So take that
- 26:18Speaker 7: into account.
- 26:20Speaker 4: Boys are terrified of the internet. Back there been there too.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Oh Mitch, you have nothing to worry about, brother.
- 26:29Speaker 1: My mind is just wondering. Now what else is out there?
- 26:33Speaker 1: I missed?
- 26:35Speaker 4: Oh wow, dude during fucking some random town in Canada,
- 26:44Speaker 4: I got a taste this weekend.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I know what I want.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Oh, shall we go into the episode with Brian Allen?
- 26:52Speaker 2: Anything else we need to hit? Buy the tickets spring
- 26:55Speaker 2: tour every every Wednesday. Were somewhere different, uh, Texas than
- 26:59Speaker 2: our Ohio state, eight L s U and Colorado. And
- 27:03Speaker 2: then we're gonna go to but I will there is
- 27:06Speaker 2: a wrinkle in the Colorado one. We'll be doing our
- 27:08Speaker 2: live show in Denver, not Bolder because apparently there's no
- 27:13Speaker 2: like good enough venues in uh in Boulder.
- 27:17Speaker 1: What are you guys at so far? It's just like
- 27:20Speaker 1: if I'm gonna drive.
- 27:22Speaker 5: For a college kid.
- 27:23Speaker 2: That's that we were We were actually being told we
- 27:26Speaker 2: were actually being told that, Uh, your people commute to Denver.
- 27:30Speaker 1: I'll go to Denver.
- 27:32Speaker 2: And you're talking about college kids and stuff like, look
- 27:34Speaker 2: a late night, there's a Husker chapter in Denver.
- 27:37Speaker 6: If you're a college kid in Boulder, just drink a
- 27:40Speaker 6: little proper Wild, get right and head to Denver.
- 27:44Speaker 2: Dude, speaking of proper Wild. Check yes, proper Wild, clean
- 27:52Speaker 2: all day energy, clean all day energy that boosts your energy,
- 27:56Speaker 2: focus and productivity without the jitters, without the crash.
- 27:58Speaker 1: It last all day long.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Like the boy Jack said, if you're a young college
- 28:01Speaker 2: kid and you're trying to make this live show in Denver,
- 28:04Speaker 2: pop up Proper Wild. Whether it's the three new flavors
- 28:07Speaker 2: of strawberry, Kiwee, apple, lemon, lime. Look, there's no preservatives,
- 28:11Speaker 2: no artificial sweeteners, no bullshit, just natural tasting energy with
- 28:16Speaker 2: clean ingredients that work all day long. So you can
- 28:18Speaker 2: watch the boys hoot and holler laugh with us in
- 28:20Speaker 2: the nighttime at the Denver live show. Go to Properwild
- 28:25Speaker 2: dot com forward slash barstool to stray proper Wild for
- 28:29Speaker 2: thirty percent off. That's Properwild dot com forward slash barstool
- 28:33Speaker 2: thirty percent off from the boys to you.
- 28:38Speaker 3: Now to the episode.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Now it's to the episode Brian Kellen. We rolling boys, JP,
- 28:43Speaker 1: we rolling your.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Brother. I fucking like it, man, they're.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Uh well, so we went and got you outside.
- 28:50Speaker 4: By the way, the hossible tornado situation going on outside actually.
- 28:55Speaker 11: Blustery and I don't like that word, but it's it's blustery.
- 28:58Speaker 1: It seems like you do like the word.
- 29:00Speaker 11: If I if I didn't have so much testots, I'd
- 29:01Speaker 11: probably curme up with my cat and read a book.
- 29:04Speaker 3: It is you know what I mean?
- 29:05Speaker 1: The weather does call for it. Yeah, it does.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Just a novel, just sort of a novel from the
- 29:09Speaker 3: turn of the sentry with my cat.
- 29:11Speaker 1: How many cats you got? There was lessening cats.
- 29:15Speaker 3: If I had a cat, be a lie or a jaguar.
- 29:19Speaker 1: You do seem like a cat guy.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Dude, I'm a dog, dude, What kind of dog? You're
- 29:24Speaker 3: a cat?
- 29:24Speaker 1: Guy?
- 29:24Speaker 3: Guys, come on, be cool, man.
- 29:25Speaker 1: There's nothing about you that screams to me.
- 29:27Speaker 3: I move like a cat. So there's a lot you have.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Guess we're kind of dog. Yeah, what kind of doggies
- 29:31Speaker 2: they here?
- 29:32Speaker 4: Like like some sort of definitely have a doodle mix,
- 29:36Speaker 4: some sort of doodle mix.
- 29:37Speaker 1: This is not this is this is not how I
- 29:39Speaker 1: want to start the podcast.
- 29:40Speaker 4: But if we're if we're looking at you, and what
- 29:42Speaker 4: does the representation that would perfectly fit you say?
- 29:45Speaker 3: Something like a junk yard a sort of a mix
- 29:49Speaker 3: of a pit bull a catch dog.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Because you got a lot of energy.
- 29:51Speaker 2: You get a lot of energy, I say, like a
- 29:53Speaker 2: Miniossi fucking minie Australia shepherd.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Just a lot of energy.
- 29:58Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of.
- 30:01Speaker 11: Off the staircase, you guys, hold on for a second
- 30:04Speaker 11: when I bring my voice down, it's not yea, you
- 30:07Speaker 11: feel you feel safe. You fill at home right now.
- 30:10Speaker 11: You know what I'm saying. So I'd say I'm more
- 30:11Speaker 11: of a I'm a catch dog. So if you want
- 30:13Speaker 11: a cat dog, a catch dog.
- 30:15Speaker 3: So in other words, if you're going, if you're if
- 30:17Speaker 3: you're hunting wild boar, yeah, send the dogs in and
- 30:20Speaker 3: you're that dog.
- 30:21Speaker 12: Grab grab a hold on brother, hold on bro like
- 30:25Speaker 12: the dogs die like that, they do die.
- 30:28Speaker 2: That's a wild sport. If it's just considered a sport sport?
- 30:32Speaker 2: Would a cat dog like dogs like going and hunting
- 30:35Speaker 2: these hogs and then they send the dogs on them.
- 30:37Speaker 11: Well, the idea is to go in, You go in,
- 30:39Speaker 11: the dogs grab the boar and then you slit his throat.
- 30:44Speaker 11: Tim Kennedy, you know Tim Kennedy. Ye, well, good guess
- 30:50Speaker 11: not there.
- 30:53Speaker 3: Kennedy? Though he is? Is he a Kennedy. I'm gonna
- 30:56Speaker 3: first say that I'm getting lost in your eyes.
- 30:59Speaker 1: He's got good eyes, thank.
- 31:00Speaker 2: You, got good And he's got the accents in the
- 31:03Speaker 2: hat that compliment them.
- 31:05Speaker 3: And and he's got.
- 31:08Speaker 4: Stop that some more pulls off the mustache, and that's
- 31:12Speaker 4: rarely fust You know what you just did. What we
- 31:16Speaker 4: were outside, you were very complimentive. You came in here
- 31:19Speaker 4: and for whatever reason, decided to put aggression on yourself.
- 31:22Speaker 4: You started to feel that backed it up like a cat.
- 31:26Speaker 4: And now you're kind of untangling me, and I'm really disoriented.
- 31:30Speaker 4: I feel like I'm in a bit of a like
- 31:32Speaker 4: I'm in a happy blender to get.
- 31:34Speaker 1: The best shake of my wife.
- 31:35Speaker 2: He's got.
- 31:38Speaker 11: You know, right now, say whatever you want to me.
- 31:41Speaker 11: You won come sitting on that you. I I brought
- 31:45Speaker 11: the bluster in here, That's what I did. You do
- 31:47Speaker 11: love that word, But you get away with the mustache.
- 31:49Speaker 11: And the reason you do is because you've got your
- 31:52Speaker 11: big You're substantial. If you're small with a mustache, you
- 31:55Speaker 11: start to look like you know that substitute teacher is
- 31:58Speaker 11: also a pedophile.
- 31:59Speaker 2: Yeah, he's got he rocks the mustache right now and there.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Now there's a You have a slight frame like myself.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Not probably not quite as athletic, right not, it's not
- 32:08Speaker 3: as elastic as I am. It doesn't matter.
- 32:09Speaker 4: That's not the point. It's not a competition. But he's
- 32:11Speaker 4: the JP move all right. Oh brother, let me tell
- 32:14Speaker 4: you something.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Now. Yeah, he's he's wiry, but he that boy can bend. Now,
- 32:19Speaker 1: he can bend. He can bend.
- 32:20Speaker 4: What a man you're sizis that that guy can bend all?
- 32:23Speaker 4: I'm telling you, yeah, he can. He can put it
- 32:25Speaker 4: in the pretzel. He can move around. I've literally walked
- 32:27Speaker 4: into his hotel room one time and he was just
- 32:30Speaker 4: in a cupboard, just hanging out waiting.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Yeah, waiting a strike.
- 32:34Speaker 3: You feel safe, Yeah, waiting to strike.
- 32:38Speaker 11: Strike Back to Tim Kennedy, green beret, he was naked.
- 32:43Speaker 3: A long time Green Beret, did a bunch of stuff
- 32:44Speaker 3: in the military.
- 32:45Speaker 11: UFC fighter one hundred and eighty five pounder, just a monster,
- 32:48Speaker 11: toughest guy in the world. We're hanging out in Austin,
- 32:50Speaker 11: and he goes, Hey, we're gonna go hunting boar next
- 32:53Speaker 11: time you come down.
- 32:54Speaker 12: I said, okay, this wild pigs from a helicopter. Shoot him,
- 33:00Speaker 12: shoot him.
- 33:01Speaker 1: With a gatling gun. Yeah, so I'm had a two
- 33:03Speaker 1: hand up.
- 33:04Speaker 3: That's what he did.
- 33:04Speaker 2: He went, you know, I, well, I'm sorry that night
- 33:09Speaker 2: as well.
- 33:10Speaker 3: Well, it was not. I I told this is very funny.
- 33:12Speaker 11: You say that. Very funny. You say that because I
- 33:14Speaker 11: said that. I go, I want to use night scopes.
- 33:16Speaker 11: He goes, We'll do whatever you want. He started whispering.
- 33:20Speaker 11: Now I'd just been through. He had taken me through
- 33:22Speaker 11: a day of Special Forces training, which hilarious. It wasn't
- 33:25Speaker 11: I was just shooting guns. I got stuck in the car.
- 33:28Speaker 11: It was just it's a disaster, but it was fun.
- 33:31Speaker 11: I had to run this obstacle course. It was like,
- 33:33Speaker 11: you know, you have to go. He was being very
- 33:35Speaker 11: nice to me. You guys have no problem with it.
- 33:38Speaker 11: But then he said, he goes, uh and this he
- 33:40Speaker 11: was dead serious. He's he's crazy. This is the guy
- 33:43Speaker 11: who's been through war. His book, Scars and Stripes is
- 33:46Speaker 11: actually an amazing reading.
- 33:47Speaker 4: Okay, hold on, let's put a pause. Yeah, that title
- 33:49Speaker 4: I know, just gave me goosebump. I know, dude, stars
- 33:52Speaker 4: and striars and stripes.
- 33:54Speaker 11: He's the He's he's the guy. His book is so honest.
- 33:58Speaker 11: He tells this whole story about he's got he had
- 34:01Speaker 11: two girls, were pregnant, two girls. He'd been kicked out
- 34:04Speaker 11: of the police force and the fire I'm trying to
- 34:07Speaker 11: be a fireman. And he was like just a fighter,
- 34:10Speaker 11: kind of an amateur fighter, and just like you know what,
- 34:13Speaker 11: I I don't like my life. He's like twenty two,
- 34:16Speaker 11: just gets completely naked, four thirty in the morning and
- 34:20Speaker 11: just gets into Morrow Bay. For those people who don't
- 34:22Speaker 11: know what Morrow Bay is, it's where the It's where
- 34:26Speaker 11: the Great Whites hang out. It's where they feed the
- 34:29Speaker 11: twenty footers, twenty three footers or whatever they are.
- 34:31Speaker 3: That's where they hang out.
- 34:33Speaker 11: Morol Bay is where you don't go because they're territorial
- 34:36Speaker 11: over that area.
- 34:37Speaker 3: They'll shred you.
- 34:38Speaker 1: Where is it.
- 34:38Speaker 11: It's geographically it's like I think it's like near between
- 34:41Speaker 11: Santa Cruz and like it's like up northern California on
- 34:44Speaker 11: that coast where the big boys hang where the open
- 34:47Speaker 11: ocean is. And he just goes I'm gonna swim out
- 34:52Speaker 11: to sea and see what the fuck happens. And the
- 34:55Speaker 11: fog is so heavy that he doesn't know where he is,
- 34:58Speaker 11: so he just goes a swimming goush, goush, goosh. So
- 35:03Speaker 11: about an hour later he starts to not be able
- 35:05Speaker 11: to feel his arms and legs because well it's fucking freezing,
- 35:09Speaker 11: and he's like, gonna go a little further, no point
- 35:12Speaker 11: and turn around because see, I can't see where the
- 35:14Speaker 11: shore is anyway. He can only see like a little
- 35:16Speaker 11: bit in front of him. Yeah, he's swimming in open water.
- 35:19Speaker 11: A woman on a cliff saw him and she goes,
- 35:22Speaker 11: this doesn't look right, this young man naked and just
- 35:25Speaker 11: swimming out there. And all of a sudden he just
- 35:27Speaker 11: sees this coastguard just.
- 35:28Speaker 3: Kind of roll up. They'd been looking for him, and
- 35:31Speaker 3: this salty dog captain goes, what are you doing out here?
- 35:35Speaker 11: And he's like, I'm swimming. He goes, yeah, I can
- 35:37Speaker 11: see that, and then Tim goes, I got two girls pregnant.
- 35:41Speaker 11: I got kicked out of the police force, tried to
- 35:43Speaker 11: be a fireman. They wouldn't have me. So what the fuck,
- 35:45Speaker 11: he goes, got it?
- 35:47Speaker 3: Got it? So you have a hard day.
- 35:48Speaker 11: He goes, I guess so, and he's getting mad now.
- 35:51Speaker 11: And the captain goes, should I leave you out here
- 35:53Speaker 11: in the drinker? And Tim goes, I don't know. He goes, well,
- 35:58Speaker 11: my job is.
- 35:58Speaker 3: To take you.
- 35:59Speaker 11: We've been looking looking for you, so you took a
- 36:01Speaker 11: lot of our time. So my job is to get
- 36:02Speaker 11: you on the boat. So you want to come on
- 36:04Speaker 11: the boat. And Tim's just looking at him like this,
- 36:06Speaker 11: I don't know. He just he still won't give it up.
- 36:09Speaker 11: The guy who's down. He goes, that's the smallest dick
- 36:12Speaker 11: I've ever seen in my life, because his dick was
- 36:14Speaker 11: a turtle at that point. Anybody pull him back on shore.
- 36:17Speaker 11: It there's a whole record of this. Put a blanket
- 36:19Speaker 11: on him. This is Tim. The point I'm telling, The
- 36:21Speaker 11: point I'm making is then he goes on. He's a
- 36:23Speaker 11: Green Beret. There's a bunch of other stuff, tip the
- 36:25Speaker 11: spear stuff. He's in a thousand firefights. So he looks
- 36:29Speaker 11: at me with all seriousness and he goes, we'll go
- 36:33Speaker 11: we'll go hog hunting, we'll go pig hunting.
- 36:35Speaker 3: But we can shoot him from the helicopter. We can
- 36:38Speaker 3: shoot him at night. But this is the best, whispered
- 36:43Speaker 3: to us.
- 36:43Speaker 11: Yeah, he goes, we could, we could hunt him from
- 36:47Speaker 11: horseback with a spear. And he just he points at
- 36:50Speaker 11: me because I'm about to go no, no, you know,
- 36:52Speaker 11: he goes. Now, you may feel not so comfortable on
- 36:58Speaker 11: a horse. Here's the best thing we can do. We
- 37:02Speaker 11: can get on these skis of the chopper. We bring
- 37:06Speaker 11: the chopper down and as they're running from us, you
- 37:10Speaker 11: jump on its back and you kill it with an axe.
- 37:14Speaker 3: With an axe, he does this. He's dead serious.
- 37:18Speaker 1: His blood's flowing below the head. The whole time you're talking,
- 37:21Speaker 1: I'm wondering what happened to those two kids? Which one's women?
- 37:25Speaker 1: He got pregnant?
- 37:27Speaker 3: I lost you, I lost you anymore, you know what.
- 37:33Speaker 1: So he's jumping too this hog story, like, what the
- 37:36Speaker 1: fuck happened?
- 37:36Speaker 3: Happened with the children?
- 37:37Speaker 11: And he becomes a Green Beret. I'm like, what about
- 37:39Speaker 11: the children? Yeah, that's the person, but you know what,
- 37:43Speaker 11: he's in their lives. He's a good father, you think. So,
- 37:45Speaker 11: he's one of the best people I know. In fact,
- 37:47Speaker 11: I asked him that. So that says a lot about you.
- 37:49Speaker 11: I'm glad that you stopped on that. That was a
- 37:51Speaker 11: bookmark for you.
- 37:52Speaker 4: I'll tell you what that was. I definitely dog heard it,
- 37:54Speaker 4: and I was like, I gotta get back to this.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Yeah, because you care about the kids.
- 37:57Speaker 1: I know the whole time.
- 38:00Speaker 3: I love you for that you have.
- 38:02Speaker 4: I have two kids. When you have kids, do that,
- 38:05Speaker 4: I'm a bunch though, So I can, I can.
- 38:07Speaker 3: I want to.
- 38:08Speaker 1: He was looking. I was looking for the drink.
- 38:11Speaker 11: Now, dude, I I I think the world becomes way
- 38:13Speaker 11: more delicate when you have kids.
- 38:14Speaker 3: I have three, so I understand.
- 38:16Speaker 1: Boys and girls.
- 38:17Speaker 4: Yeah, two boys, okay, another cannot can whoop you?
- 38:21Speaker 3: No? No there there.
- 38:22Speaker 11: My son is my eleven year old is basically me.
- 38:25Speaker 11: He's he's just this magical, this magical sort of jesture,
- 38:30Speaker 11: very very thin and just a silly It makes me laugh,
- 38:34Speaker 11: a fucking unbelievable, unbelievable sense of humor. He's eleven years old,
- 38:38Speaker 11: and uh, I was. He just fucks with me, and
- 38:41Speaker 11: he knows he's not get mad when he swears because
- 38:44Speaker 11: he has you know, he's a lot to swear around me.
- 38:45Speaker 11: And I said something to him and he goes, huh,
- 38:48Speaker 11: let me see if I I don't know, if I
- 38:51Speaker 11: I gotta check something do you have any fucks in
- 38:54Speaker 11: your gloved commarment? And I go, look at yeah, he goes,
- 38:58Speaker 11: and he goes, no fucks in here. He goes, let
- 39:01Speaker 11: me see if I call. I call the fuck store
- 39:03Speaker 11: and they're closed, so I don't give a fuck. And
- 39:06Speaker 11: I was like, you know what, you're eleven. That's fucking
- 39:09Speaker 11: very good. He's a smart ass. Then he lied to me,
- 39:12Speaker 11: and I got really mad. I go, why did you
- 39:13Speaker 11: lie to me?
- 39:14Speaker 3: He goes.
- 39:15Speaker 11: I go, you shrugged me. Why did you lie to
- 39:19Speaker 11: me in your chair like that? He looks at me
- 39:21Speaker 11: and he goes, it's in my nature. So he's got
- 39:26Speaker 11: a really good humor, dude at eleven years old, So
- 39:29Speaker 11: I can't be mad at him.
- 39:30Speaker 1: Day. Yeah, So did you end up killing bores?
- 39:34Speaker 3: I didn't. I'm not nu.
- 39:35Speaker 11: I'm from the fucking sled of a helicopter onto a.
- 39:40Speaker 3: Bors back because I'm not built for that fucking professional
- 39:46Speaker 3: football player who looks like a pro basketball player.
- 39:49Speaker 4: I don't know how to handle that. Well, it does
- 39:51Speaker 4: seem like a compliment, but it's but you don't know.
- 39:54Speaker 4: In our world, I'm in a blender. I need you
- 39:57Speaker 4: to save me again.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Like he's already diffused me to be jack. Is he
- 40:01Speaker 2: taking a shot of me right now? Like my shirt
- 40:03Speaker 2: off right now? But you know you are you look
- 40:06Speaker 2: you're right, you know right now? Give me a may
- 40:08Speaker 2: You look good? You want to you want to put
- 40:10Speaker 2: on a little You're just amazing how you guys are
- 40:12Speaker 2: looking nice?
- 40:13Speaker 1: You look nice.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it's all bone though. You're you're a big bone kid.
- 40:18Speaker 1: He's a slender cat.
- 40:19Speaker 3: But you're a very good football player. You're a very
- 40:22Speaker 3: good football player.
- 40:23Speaker 1: But you are at one point in my life.
- 40:25Speaker 11: You're you're a skinny kid for an offensive lineman.
- 40:28Speaker 3: And that's a fact. I'm very I would prod you.
- 40:31Speaker 1: I'm not like the most broad dude. Tayler called me
- 40:33Speaker 1: one day, like you know, I did.
- 40:36Speaker 2: Like look when he was losing all his weight, and
- 40:38Speaker 2: he was like, hey, what do you think about tight end?
- 40:43Speaker 3: That's good? That's it.
- 40:44Speaker 1: I was like, tight end? What do you mean?
- 40:48Speaker 2: He's like, you know, I could play transition a tight
- 40:51Speaker 2: end like you're a.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Number seven, be a blocking tight end? Catch How are
- 40:55Speaker 1: your hands and team pet outstanding?
- 40:57Speaker 3: They are?
- 40:58Speaker 1: Also?
- 40:58Speaker 3: How are you quick? Give you a.
- 41:00Speaker 1: Extend and then I'll let you decide.
- 41:01Speaker 3: I love this.
- 41:02Speaker 1: I've never dropped a ball in a game, and I
- 41:05Speaker 1: have a touchdown. So that's just for you. That's a
- 41:08Speaker 1: nugget for you that you get to have and I have.
- 41:11Speaker 1: You're welcome and.
- 41:11Speaker 3: I love this. Yeah, and I love this because you
- 41:14Speaker 3: look like a tight end.
- 41:15Speaker 11: I can see that, and I have my philosophy is
- 41:17Speaker 11: if you're if you're that good in one position. I
- 41:21Speaker 11: know it's specialized, but it doesn't surprise me because you're
- 41:25Speaker 11: kind of you're built like a tight end. But they
- 41:28Speaker 11: somebody said, put on forty pounds and you got the
- 41:30Speaker 11: intelligence to play on the line.
- 41:33Speaker 2: I was with you.
- 41:34Speaker 3: He did the intelligence. But you do have the intelligence.
- 41:36Speaker 1: About the line.
- 41:37Speaker 4: No, I don't know how familiar you are with football,
- 41:39Speaker 4: but you play is the smartest. You can guard and
- 41:42Speaker 4: then tackle.
- 41:42Speaker 3: I tackle.
- 41:43Speaker 1: You can be a little dumber, YEH can dance a little.
- 41:45Speaker 3: Bit on the intelligence intelligence line.
- 41:48Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 41:48Speaker 1: Absolutely.
- 41:49Speaker 3: But I've seen the reason I'm obsessed is I've seen
- 41:51Speaker 3: the playbook. You guys have to learn, right, But I
- 41:55Speaker 3: also think that.
- 41:55Speaker 1: You've seen the tight the Sennessee Titans playbook.
- 41:58Speaker 3: I've not seen that. What book did you see?
- 42:01Speaker 11: I haven't seen a playbook, ID I've had offensive and
- 42:04Speaker 11: defensive linemen explain to me like what one play requires
- 42:09Speaker 11: and how you have to change and.
- 42:12Speaker 3: Probably I'm sure they blew it up that crazy a whole.
- 42:16Speaker 4: In every play there's a scheme and everybody's got a
- 42:18Speaker 4: certain job. Yes, now Will playing linebacker, he can look
- 42:22Speaker 4: at this giant play and know all the things they
- 42:24Speaker 4: have to do and make it sound very complicated, But
- 42:26Speaker 4: at the end of the day, there's like two or
- 42:27Speaker 4: three things you got to make sure of and then
- 42:29Speaker 4: just do those things.
- 42:29Speaker 1: That's complicated.
- 42:31Speaker 11: No, Now that's interesting because you're simplifying it. But sometimes
- 42:35Speaker 11: that can be a sign. And the fact that you
- 42:37Speaker 11: pick up on things and you can chunk, you can
- 42:39Speaker 11: chunk information, and that comes from I think anybody's played
- 42:43Speaker 11: as long as you guys have that, that's I don't
- 42:45Speaker 11: think that's physical. Obviously you have a physical gift, but
- 42:47Speaker 11: everybody out there is a fucking freak. But I think
- 42:50Speaker 11: that what distinguishes, my guess is what distinguishes people with
- 42:53Speaker 11: longevity is first you has dangery free, but also you
- 42:56Speaker 11: got to be smart enough. You know there's just certain
- 42:59Speaker 11: things you figure out holes where the weakness is. I
- 43:02Speaker 11: think I don't know I'm not.
- 43:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like there's like boxes you have to check.
- 43:06Speaker 4: Like I've played with some dudes that can't read. I
- 43:11Speaker 4: played with some guys that I truly believe could not
- 43:14Speaker 4: tie their shoelaces.
- 43:15Speaker 3: All that.
- 43:16Speaker 4: Robinson, well you gotta throw them out there, like because
- 43:19Speaker 4: he was shoelace and I proved me one day he
- 43:21Speaker 4: could kind of tic and he just caught a bullet.
- 43:23Speaker 4: And he caught a bullet. Right now, he's in an
- 43:25Speaker 4: arbur Michigan. W Taylor's talking. Can get on you, dude. Yeah,
- 43:30Speaker 4: he said he can't read. Or quarterback our quarterback in college.
- 43:33Speaker 4: His name is Denard Robinson. They called him shoelass shoelace.
- 43:36Speaker 4: So you probably known dreads number sixteen for Michigan wheeling
- 43:39Speaker 4: and Dylon. You remember, yes, come on now you remember.
- 43:42Speaker 11: With the dreads Yes, Michigan Yeah, all kids number sixteen strong?
- 43:47Speaker 3: Yeah? Uh all ass and legs yeah, should chest yeah good,
- 43:54Speaker 3: body wide face yeah yeah yeah yeah.
- 43:57Speaker 11: I mean most smooth skin in his twenties maybe third yeah.
- 44:01Speaker 4: In his thirties. Now, he didn't tie his shoelaces. And
- 44:04Speaker 4: I asked him, I was like, can you tie shoes?
- 44:06Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 44:06Speaker 1: And he said yes, And I made him tie my
- 44:08Speaker 1: shoes one day. So he did prove it to me.
- 44:09Speaker 3: He did.
- 44:10Speaker 1: He did prove it to me.
- 44:10Speaker 4: Well yesterday when I played with individuals that truly, yeah,
- 44:14Speaker 4: are are stupid. But I feel like there's a level like,
- 44:18Speaker 4: if you can just get to a level of intelligence
- 44:20Speaker 4: with football, you're gonna be all right. You can't be
- 44:22Speaker 4: a quarterback. Maybe not a center, maybe not a mill linebacker.
- 44:25Speaker 11: Well, quarterback's astonished. Astonishing, it's astonishing. That's a you gotta
- 44:28Speaker 11: be crazy smart. Yeah, it's a weird. It's a weird
- 44:32Speaker 11: skill set. It's an insane skill set to read a
- 44:34Speaker 11: backfield when you sit. When I step back and I
- 44:36Speaker 11: read a backfield and guys like you were coming at me,
- 44:39Speaker 11: I gotta protect you. I gotta I gotta get sent.
- 44:41Speaker 11: I have a very fast release. I got what's called
- 44:43Speaker 11: a quick release. Yeah, thanks guys for nodding. Well, who
- 44:48Speaker 11: came to my show last night. He plays for the
- 44:51Speaker 11: Minnesota Vikings. White guy, black guy, white guy, Harrison, Uh
- 44:57Speaker 11: yeah Smith notre dame guys. Stud Yes, now he's a stud.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Now. He walked into my green room and he was well,
- 45:04Speaker 3: I I looked at him and I went, well, you're
- 45:06Speaker 3: a freak. Now, he's he holds the combine record for
- 45:10Speaker 3: twelve years. Now he benched to twenty five forty seven times.
- 45:14Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen, there, let me say let me say
- 45:16Speaker 3: it again, let me say it again. Forty seven fucking times,
- 45:21Speaker 3: with arms as long as yours, with arms as long
- 45:24Speaker 3: as yours. Don't fuck with him.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Dude, what position, Harrison?
- 45:28Speaker 3: He's defensive.
- 45:29Speaker 1: No, he's seen forty revs.
- 45:32Speaker 2: We're we're the ones.
- 45:33Speaker 3: We're wrong.
- 45:34Speaker 1: Yeah, we're wrong by her.
- 45:35Speaker 11: Okay, defensive tackle, defensive tack, Harrison Smith, Okayed nineteen.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Maybe his name is in Harrison.
- 45:41Speaker 11: He plays defensive tackle on the on the on the vikings.
- 45:45Speaker 3: His face is this wide. I went, I went like this.
- 45:48Speaker 3: I was like hello. To get from one eye to
- 45:50Speaker 3: the other, I was like hello, big of a human being.
- 45:52Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 45:53Speaker 1: There are some dudes you see to the You're like
- 45:54Speaker 1: Jesus Christ.
- 45:55Speaker 5: Well, it's it's weird.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Yeah, he's just he's he's he's you know what it is.
- 45:59Speaker 3: He's three fifteen, but he's so lean that he looks
- 46:04Speaker 3: he's so proportioned that it looks like he's two fifty record.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, Yeah, that's.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 46:14Speaker 4: Who's Stephen Pea, Harrison Phillips, Harrison Phillips Beavers.
- 46:19Speaker 3: There he is Harrison Phillips. That's the kid. Good guy,
- 46:22Speaker 3: but don't kids yourself.
- 46:24Speaker 1: Yeah, lied to you is what he did.
- 46:25Speaker 11: I'm hearing a peep out of you on the bench.
- 46:27Speaker 11: I'm just saying, not a peep.
- 46:29Speaker 3: And by the way, on him, okay, that's you. Momas
- 46:33Speaker 3: don't count.
- 46:35Speaker 1: I'm not You're not wrong.
- 46:37Speaker 3: It's I'm talking about white guys. That's guy.
- 46:40Speaker 2: That guy category.
- 46:41Speaker 3: How many how made you get on? First time? He's
- 46:43Speaker 3: ever living?
- 46:44Speaker 1: I got thirty reps and they minus me one.
- 46:46Speaker 3: That's a lot.
- 46:47Speaker 1: They're tight on the ass coming up.
- 46:49Speaker 10: I know.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Your ass can't come you're high.
- 46:52Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, Yeah, what your ass can't? You can't
- 46:54Speaker 2: hunt the air?
- 46:55Speaker 1: I was.
- 46:56Speaker 4: I was flexing on my wife today. I was like, hey,
- 46:57Speaker 4: watch this video, and I pulled up me running a
- 46:59Speaker 4: four at the combine. She goes, do I have to
- 47:01Speaker 4: watch this every year?
- 47:02Speaker 3: What's your hold on? What's your forty? That? That's is
- 47:07Speaker 3: that you?
- 47:07Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 47:07Speaker 1: I put a tube soft here.
- 47:10Speaker 3: Hold on, Look at the size of you. That's not
- 47:12Speaker 3: who I'm looking at.
- 47:13Speaker 1: I was in a tanning bed for weeks.
- 47:15Speaker 3: I'm not joking. I went to look at you, you know,
- 47:20Speaker 3: six seven, Scooby, what was that?
- 47:27Speaker 1: It's a good run. That's a good rip.
- 47:28Speaker 3: Look at you.
- 47:30Speaker 4: That's for a four eight four eight seven was my time.
- 47:33Speaker 4: It was the fastest time at that combine. It was
- 47:37Speaker 4: the fastest time for offense lineman that combine.
- 47:39Speaker 3: He's so competitive. Do you wonder why he's he?
- 47:43Speaker 1: I will What would I say when he pulled up
- 47:45Speaker 1: with that your physique?
- 47:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm happy with yours too, though.
- 47:50Speaker 2: No, no, I know, but I'm saying the first time
- 47:53Speaker 2: we met, he wasn't here.
- 47:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, this is our first time, and you're like, oh,
- 47:56Speaker 3: you're back. I had so when.
- 48:00Speaker 4: Real quick though. My man's got a back on him.
- 48:02Speaker 4: He's got a great back. The kid the kid pipes.
- 48:05Speaker 3: Yeah, he's got the ass. That's a backstrap.
- 48:08Speaker 11: That's the feel that if I were to hunt him,
- 48:10Speaker 11: and I wouldn't, but if I were cannibal and I
- 48:12Speaker 11: would hunt him.
- 48:13Speaker 3: That's the first thing you're going.
- 48:13Speaker 11: That's prime meat right there, buddy, and you slice it
- 48:15Speaker 11: this way and you cook it up and butter.
- 48:17Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying. I wouldn't do that. What
- 48:18Speaker 3: I'm saying, I would eat that with you. Yeah, that's
- 48:20Speaker 3: that's that's that's backstrap. Yeah, that's my nickname.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Hit.
- 48:23Speaker 3: He's in my phone.
- 48:26Speaker 2: He's got he's got a good meat on you around.
- 48:29Speaker 2: All I was saying was your first time seeing him,
- 48:31Speaker 2: So he's gonna love to do that.
- 48:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Are you catching that in the headphones? I love that
- 48:37Speaker 1: you're concerned about the pod.
- 48:39Speaker 2: That's heady. That's being heady.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Yeah, that's awareness, is what it is.
- 48:41Speaker 3: I love this, I love I love this.
- 48:44Speaker 2: We play from the neck up, the you like the bus.
- 48:46Speaker 2: We play from the neck up all like you were
- 48:49Speaker 2: in Tangibles.
- 48:49Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's all that.
- 48:51Speaker 4: That means when you are as well as we are
- 48:53Speaker 4: in the profession that we were in, you gotta learn
- 48:57Speaker 4: how to do it a different way because you're not
- 48:59Speaker 4: gonna be his athletic as everybody else.
- 49:00Speaker 3: Yeah. Would you say that's true?
- 49:03Speaker 11: What that you're not as athletic as where is your
- 49:06Speaker 11: on a scale of one to ten. Let me see,
- 49:10Speaker 11: on a scale of one to ten, ten being obviously
- 49:12Speaker 11: the most athletic and be honest in the NFL, it's
- 49:16Speaker 11: hard to how do you define athleticism. Because there's athleticism,
- 49:19Speaker 11: then there's a pure athlete. You got pure athletes. Then
- 49:22Speaker 11: there's gamesmanship.
- 49:23Speaker 3: Then there's heart, then there's grit, then there's finding a
- 49:26Speaker 3: way to win.
- 49:27Speaker 11: There's all that stuff. So it's a very complicated question. Good,
- 49:30Speaker 11: good brother, you are getting me fired out.
- 49:32Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying.
- 49:33Speaker 11: We start talking about an athlete is a very different thing.
- 49:36Speaker 3: I need gamesmanship. Like there's that Drew Brees.
- 49:39Speaker 11: If you were to look at him, you know his
- 49:41Speaker 11: intensity is what gets him worded. I mean it's that's
- 49:43Speaker 11: a bad example. That's a bad example. But but there
- 49:47Speaker 11: are a lot of guys that can't run that fast,
- 49:48Speaker 11: maybe can't jump as high. Yeah your eyes because you
- 49:54Speaker 11: were hearing a sound over there.
- 49:55Speaker 3: That's weird. Anyway. Yeah, it's not a big deal.
- 49:59Speaker 11: Can't run that fast, can't jumps high, not as strong. Yeah,
- 50:03Speaker 11: they got a heart, and they got straps. You know
- 50:05Speaker 11: what I'm saying, back straps.
- 50:07Speaker 1: Yeah, you got one on the bus right now.
- 50:10Speaker 2: Do you want to rank?
- 50:11Speaker 4: I'll rank will for you. I'll give you what and
- 50:15Speaker 4: you have to give me a category.
- 50:17Speaker 11: Look, look, listen, listen. There are guys, this group called
- 50:23Speaker 11: Seal Team six.
- 50:24Speaker 1: It's not a question. No, no, no, you're called the question.
- 50:30Speaker 11: One thing to be able to kill a bunch of guys,
- 50:32Speaker 11: it's another thing to be in the heat of battle,
- 50:34Speaker 11: knowing who to take a shot on and who not to.
- 50:38Speaker 3: You see this, you see watch this? Bang? See that?
- 50:42Speaker 3: You see that? See what I just fucking did? Yeah,
- 50:46Speaker 3: you see that. That's bang. You know see that I
- 50:53Speaker 3: just five times? Good guy, fucking bad guy. Bang. You
- 50:59Speaker 3: know I see you. Yeah, that's what it is. I
- 51:01Speaker 3: know you know what it is.
- 51:01Speaker 4: You know what this is turney into. Yeah, I'm starting
- 51:03Speaker 4: to realize it. Yeah, you guys have a rapport.
- 51:06Speaker 1: And I see you. I see what you're doing here
- 51:09Speaker 1: is now that you.
- 51:10Speaker 5: Know will a little bit.
- 51:11Speaker 3: You know you're willing, You're.
- 51:12Speaker 4: Willing to do a bunch because you're trying to win
- 51:14Speaker 4: me over.
- 51:14Speaker 3: I haven't left I haven't left your eyes. I haven't
- 51:19Speaker 3: left his eyes.
- 51:20Speaker 1: Oh man, boy.
- 51:22Speaker 3: You understand what I'm saying.
- 51:23Speaker 11: So when it comes to so so rate will in
- 51:25Speaker 11: that sense I'm talking.
- 51:28Speaker 2: He just killed me five times, because because.
- 51:31Speaker 11: That's what I'm saying is that you might be the
- 51:33Speaker 11: best shooter, you might be the toughest guy. You can
- 51:35Speaker 11: carry a bunch of stuff on your back, But when
- 51:37Speaker 11: are you able to think in in those high pressure situations?
- 51:42Speaker 3: Are you able to find a way to not kill them?
- 51:44Speaker 1: So we're talking about awareness, I think so.
- 51:47Speaker 11: Yeah, Reaction Time game Game iq men has all these ratings.
- 51:53Speaker 1: I would I would, you know what I mean? I
- 51:54Speaker 1: think man has you wrong.
- 51:55Speaker 2: No, but I'm saying he doesn't have to go into
- 51:57Speaker 2: this extravagant speech of like being a Green Beret. I'm
- 52:00Speaker 2: the good guy, bad guy because.
- 52:02Speaker 1: It makes for a good podcast.
- 52:03Speaker 2: It makes for a great podcast. You are a hell
- 52:05Speaker 2: of a It's just good. It's like how I feel
- 52:07Speaker 2: like we are at that wort's raining outside. We get
- 52:09Speaker 2: the fire going, we got.
- 52:12Speaker 3: Well, papa's Papa is here. Schools and session right, yeah,
- 52:14Speaker 3: I got lots of I mean, any quins you have.
- 52:17Speaker 4: We're just sitting back today. Yeah, you see us sitting
- 52:19Speaker 4: up right now. We don't always sit up in a podcast.
- 52:22Speaker 4: We're at attention right now. He knows I'm sitting back
- 52:25Speaker 4: here kind of just waiting for my turn to talk.
- 52:26Speaker 4: But this time I'm really Dad is here. Yeah, Dad
- 52:30Speaker 4: is here.
- 52:30Speaker 3: Made more mistakes?
- 52:31Speaker 4: No, I don't, I will, I don't like that. What
- 52:33Speaker 4: I don't like the daddy, Gray Smoke, I me Gray Smoke.
- 52:36Speaker 4: I will do that, right, Gray Smoke, I me Gray Smoke.
- 52:39Speaker 4: That's all who came up with that.
- 52:40Speaker 11: Somebody said that in my ear and I just repeated
- 52:41Speaker 11: it either way. You know what I'm saying to put
- 52:47Speaker 11: another hat on.
- 52:48Speaker 3: But Gray Smoke's here, so I have questions. It's just
- 52:49Speaker 3: it's just wisdom made my awareness.
- 52:51Speaker 1: You feel like awareness? Okay?
- 52:52Speaker 3: Awareness?
- 52:52Speaker 4: Back to the Will Compton, Yeah, I think awareness is
- 52:56Speaker 4: the major, the major thing that kept Will in the league.
- 52:59Speaker 4: I'm gonna give him a ninety one bro strong pro
- 53:04Speaker 4: strong awareness. And that goes off Dave Ziggler's scouting report
- 53:07Speaker 4: of view.
- 53:07Speaker 1: What that's true?
- 53:08Speaker 2: So for us, we got to go and interview our
- 53:11Speaker 2: first GM GM of the Raiders, and since you know
- 53:14Speaker 2: we're war vets in the game, we're asking him, Hey,
- 53:16Speaker 2: what war daddies, what is our scouting?
- 53:18Speaker 1: What are our scouting reports? That you know?
- 53:21Speaker 2: Because every guy who's sits in the cafeteria and the
- 53:23Speaker 2: drafts coming up everything else. She's like, man, I just
- 53:25Speaker 2: want to know what they think of me upstairs, because
- 53:27Speaker 2: coaches think of you differently.
- 53:28Speaker 1: Right in the front office.
- 53:29Speaker 2: But then you got to separate the two and see
- 53:31Speaker 2: what's on paper, the tangible and tangible stuff. But you
- 53:33Speaker 2: always want to know, like what are they find, like
- 53:35Speaker 2: what's on paper about me? Up that it's in the
- 53:37Speaker 2: front office. But we got to see with our first GM,
- 53:39Speaker 2: and he broke us down two a t bro It
- 53:42Speaker 2: was fucking awesome.
- 53:42Speaker 3: I don't like that.
- 53:43Speaker 4: It makes me We're like, yeah, he's right, yeah, it
- 53:46Speaker 4: was like it was extremely well.
- 53:47Speaker 11: My issue with that would be I wouldn't want to
- 53:49Speaker 11: know that if I was a player. You know why,
- 53:50Speaker 11: I don't want you telling me. I get very I'm
- 53:53Speaker 11: very careful about. I don't want you telling me what
- 53:55Speaker 11: I'm good at, what I'm bad at, because if you
- 53:58Speaker 11: do that, especially what i'm good at, because if you
- 54:01Speaker 11: tell me what I'm good at, I might start aiming
- 54:02Speaker 11: for that. I might start trying to be more aware,
- 54:07Speaker 11: and then I'm in my head because I don't think
- 54:10Speaker 11: you can try to be that way. I think that's
- 54:14Speaker 11: that's just part of what you Your intention is to
- 54:16Speaker 11: win the game, or your intention is to read the
- 54:19Speaker 11: offense and figure it out. I can't be thinking about, oh,
- 54:22Speaker 11: I'm aware, you know that that always makes me nervous.
- 54:24Speaker 11: But you guys probably mature enough now, you've been playing
- 54:26Speaker 11: long enough that you trust yourself. But if you're young,
- 54:29Speaker 11: the worst thing you can do to like an athlete
- 54:31Speaker 11: sometimes like a fighter, and is be like, dude, you're
- 54:34Speaker 11: a knockout artist, and everybody goes, yeah, you're in a
- 54:36Speaker 11: knockout Now he's going out there.
- 54:40Speaker 3: Yes, don't listen to your fucking fans. I'm serious. It's
- 54:43Speaker 3: a big thing, you know. I don't. I don't like.
- 54:46Speaker 3: Don't if you're I like, give me criticism.
- 54:49Speaker 11: But then teach me how to get out of it,
- 54:51Speaker 11: right that that's that's fine. Be careful to people that
- 54:55Speaker 11: are critical, just to be critical, right, That's that's why
- 54:57Speaker 11: I don't. Listening to his bullshit is not helpful. You're
- 55:00Speaker 11: on your way somewhere. But compliments can be very dangerous
- 55:03Speaker 11: because they get you to relax a little bit, like
- 55:06Speaker 11: sometimes you go, oh, I can take I'm a comic man.
- 55:10Speaker 11: I've been doing this forever. It never fucking gets easy.
- 55:13Speaker 11: And the minute I think, you know, you get people
- 55:15Speaker 11: say things right. The minute I start listening to that
- 55:18Speaker 11: and actually believing it, I stop writing.
- 55:21Speaker 3: You know, I lose my edge.
- 55:23Speaker 11: You got to be very careful because it's so fucking
- 55:24Speaker 11: easy kind of just to.
- 55:27Speaker 1: Sit back and reflect on what you've done.
- 55:29Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, but it's also like there's also the pot
- 55:32Speaker 4: and be in the moment and like if you did
- 55:34Speaker 4: something amazing, when you're sitting there and you're like you
- 55:36Speaker 4: just sold out an arena, you get to sit in
- 55:38Speaker 4: the green room aster and be like, hold, I'm really
- 55:40Speaker 4: fucking that, dude. I was able to take a leap
- 55:43Speaker 4: of faith to be a comedian do x, Y and Z.
- 55:47Speaker 4: And it's hard to do that in that mindset if
- 55:49Speaker 4: you're always like I can't focus on what I'm good
- 55:51Speaker 4: at because.
- 55:52Speaker 1: I have to keep this said chip on my shoulder.
- 55:54Speaker 11: Well, I think just for standard wise, you're working or
- 56:00Speaker 11: it's it's my job is original self expression?
- 56:04Speaker 3: Right, So so and you guys have this too.
- 56:06Speaker 11: Now you're doing this podcast, you know, and so the
- 56:08Speaker 11: idea is to you know, this very competitive world.
- 56:10Speaker 1: What was a comedian as well?
- 56:11Speaker 3: I know, oh, I know sold out shows tonight. So
- 56:15Speaker 3: I'm sorry Nashville.
- 56:16Speaker 11: Now if you can't make my show, If you can't
- 56:19Speaker 11: make the show show tonight or tomorrow sold out, I
- 56:22Speaker 11: will be in New York City, March eleventh at Tony Hall.
- 56:26Speaker 11: Still some tickets March eleven, next Saturday. Anyway, I'm sorry.
- 56:31Speaker 11: I just have to apologize. But I told him he
- 56:33Speaker 11: can jump on.
- 56:34Speaker 3: Are you gonna but no.
- 56:35Speaker 2: I'm taking my I'm taking I got it. We're having
- 56:38Speaker 2: a little date night. You guys going to the show.
- 56:39Speaker 11: But you know me, like you're coming the show tonight, right,
- 56:41Speaker 11: I'm coming, perfect, Yeah, yeah, coming.
- 56:43Speaker 1: I think seven one right, I got you. Just a
- 56:45Speaker 1: little date night is not one of them. You guys
- 56:47Speaker 1: are going. You guys going to the show. You're going
- 56:48Speaker 1: to his show? Yeah, I invite you to the show.
- 56:51Speaker 3: No, I actually asked, who am I messaging with you?
- 56:53Speaker 3: And I got you if you want to no, no.
- 56:54Speaker 1: I don't need that.
- 56:55Speaker 3: Well, the ticket's waiting.
- 56:57Speaker 1: Wait, I'm a little late, right, I'm time out.
- 57:02Speaker 11: We'll get If you guys really want to come, I'll
- 57:04Speaker 11: get you. And I I mean, we are pretty sold.
- 57:06Speaker 11: We're still it's fair. Oh you know what, this is
- 57:09Speaker 11: my favorite.
- 57:09Speaker 3: We'll squeeze you in well, butter your hips and squeeze
- 57:13Speaker 3: you in because it's gonna be tight. Where are you
- 57:15Speaker 3: playing Danny's? This is that old school club yeah, No,
- 57:19Speaker 3: we've been there. We actually had a show there too.
- 57:21Speaker 1: We sold out hold out eleven hours. Jesus got eleven hours.
- 57:26Speaker 3: But but it's but you know, we're all in the
- 57:28Speaker 3: same game, right.
- 57:29Speaker 1: I think it was two We sold it in two hours.
- 57:31Speaker 1: You were three.
- 57:32Speaker 3: It's impressive.
- 57:32Speaker 1: That's it's just our lives gradually.
- 57:35Speaker 3: You know, guys. But you're so fucking humble we are.
- 57:39Speaker 1: We won't find it.
- 57:40Speaker 2: You won't find a more humble just regular.
- 57:43Speaker 11: But I was gonna say, is that so I you know,
- 57:46Speaker 11: if you got to keep that hunger and you you
- 57:49Speaker 11: can never it's fine to go look at this. So
- 57:52Speaker 11: so Rogan I was in Salt Lake City. I was
- 57:55Speaker 11: that my parents retired in Park City in Utah. He
- 57:58Speaker 11: was in Salt Lake and he goes, get down here,
- 57:59Speaker 11: you gotta see this, and I'm like, I can't drive
- 58:01Speaker 11: it down. He goes, just fucking you got to see this.
- 58:03Speaker 11: So I go down and see him. He's playing for
- 58:05Speaker 11: fourteen thousand people that your I've known since I was
- 58:08Speaker 11: twenty seven.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Fourteen thousand, How old do you know? I'm thirty three
- 58:12Speaker 3: years old.
- 58:13Speaker 1: No is that crazy?
- 58:16Speaker 3: Time flies, dude, I fucking fly.
- 58:18Speaker 1: I'll do that how old.
- 58:19Speaker 3: I'm fifty six, all right, so that's how old we are.
- 58:22Speaker 1: You look good for your age.
- 58:23Speaker 3: You do well.
- 58:25Speaker 11: I'm when you see me move, we'll do that opposit
- 58:28Speaker 11: when you move, we'll do some light wrestlingeh, thank you,
- 58:33Speaker 11: thank you. But Rogan at fifty six as well, fifty five. Now,
- 58:37Speaker 11: I was watching him and I looked at him and
- 58:39Speaker 11: I go, dude, fourteen thousand people, did you ever think?
- 58:43Speaker 3: And he goes, no, I go, I know.
- 58:45Speaker 11: And I watched him right before he went on, And
- 58:49Speaker 11: there's a thing about doing stand up as long as
- 58:50Speaker 11: we have that you just don't get nervous, even if
- 58:52Speaker 11: it's fourteen thousand people.
- 58:53Speaker 3: It's like, you know, you get it's like, you know,
- 58:55Speaker 3: just get your energy up, but you know where you're going,
- 58:58Speaker 3: you know. And I watched him and he he's just
- 59:00Speaker 3: like and he goes, I still get nervous every time
- 59:03Speaker 3: I get on. And then I watched him.
- 59:05Speaker 11: He's got all the money, he's got, all the attention,
- 59:08Speaker 11: he's got, you know, fourteen thousand people. And I watched
- 59:10Speaker 11: him do his hour, and I'm telling you right now,
- 59:13Speaker 11: it might have been the best thing I've ever seen
- 59:14Speaker 11: him do, because he stays that hungry because he stays
- 59:18Speaker 11: that uncomfortable. It's true that he reflects, he goes look
- 59:21Speaker 11: at this, But after a while, the challenge becomes, how
- 59:25Speaker 11: do I manage this success? How do I stay just
- 59:28Speaker 11: as fucking lean in success as I did? And especially
- 59:32Speaker 11: in unimaginableok success wherever you've drawn a line through everything
- 59:37Speaker 11: you wanted to accomplish, how do you fucking stay as
- 59:40Speaker 11: hungry as you were when you were an open micer.
- 59:42Speaker 11: That's the challenge that'll always be the challenge.
- 59:45Speaker 1: How do you think he does that?
- 59:47Speaker 11: I think that he does that by just constantly realizing
- 59:53Speaker 11: that the minute you take your foot off the gas.
- 59:57Speaker 11: And I'm not saying you don't live in the moment,
- 59:58Speaker 11: and I'm not saying you don't take a second to relax,
- 1:00:00Speaker 11: You go on vacation, you hang with your friends. But
- 1:00:03Speaker 11: if you lose sight of the fact in a way
- 1:00:06Speaker 11: that the quest to be an artist, or the quest
- 1:00:10Speaker 11: for original self expression, to surprise yourself, right to surprise yourself,
- 1:00:16Speaker 11: and by the way, as you get older, to contribute
- 1:00:20Speaker 11: to to get to be a signal in the noise,
- 1:00:23Speaker 11: because there's a lot of fucking noise.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: We have the cult of the amateur.
- 1:00:27Speaker 11: Now everybody's on YouTube, everybody thinks they have something to say,
- 1:00:31Speaker 11: and that's a lot of fucking noise. And to be
- 1:00:34Speaker 11: sort of someone who has something unique to say. And
- 1:00:37Speaker 11: you'll know it too when you when you when you
- 1:00:40Speaker 11: mine sort of yourself and you come up with something
- 1:00:43Speaker 11: that's original, people see it.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: They hear it. It's like hearing.
- 1:00:47Speaker 11: It's like it's almost like somebody's playing the flute, you know,
- 1:00:50Speaker 11: out of nowhere.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: You're just like, what the fuck? You know? What? You
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: know that? That makes sense? Wow? You know?
- 1:00:55Speaker 11: And that quest to contribute and be of service and
- 1:00:59Speaker 11: also be original if you keep your eye on that
- 1:01:01Speaker 11: prize and understand that that's the most important thing. And
- 1:01:04Speaker 11: by the way, nothing gets you there in fact, in fact,
- 1:01:08Speaker 11: when you want to be original, you know, when you
- 1:01:11Speaker 11: want to say something important, when you want to have
- 1:01:14Speaker 11: an impact. A lot of times money and attention are
- 1:01:19Speaker 11: a fucking wall that you have to.
- 1:01:22Speaker 3: Move out of the way.
- 1:01:23Speaker 11: They're none of that stuff. A great view and a
- 1:01:27Speaker 11: fast car and comfortable accoutrement are that's a French.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: I drop French. Sometimes comfortable you're doing so well until
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: he just had that little pause.
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: You know what I mean, you said, And I got
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: a little grin, like.
- 1:01:44Speaker 11: Yeah, he is fucking and he is really putting down
- 1:01:48Speaker 11: some heat right now. Those things, those things are not
- 1:01:52Speaker 11: your friend. The wolf at the door is luxury.
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: Not struggle.
- 1:01:56Speaker 11: I'm quoting a great writer, but that's true. The wolf
- 1:02:00Speaker 11: of the door is luxury. And when you arrive, my friends,
- 1:02:05Speaker 11: you better be careful because you start losing You'll start
- 1:02:08Speaker 11: losing the ability to distinguish between gravy and chocolate sauce.
- 1:02:14Speaker 11: Everything I'll just start melding.
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: Is one.
- 1:02:16Speaker 11: Don't be that person, right But you you guys know that.
- 1:02:20Speaker 11: I don't think you get longevity in the NFL by
- 1:02:22Speaker 11: being relaxed.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Look at you. Yeah, they're already.
- 1:02:25Speaker 11: Fucking insecure because you're thirty pounds lighter. I know what
- 1:02:27Speaker 11: you're doing forty. Yeah, no, I get what you're saying.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: Jesus, Jesus, but important, that's important. You're watching your fucking
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: You're watching your.
- 1:02:37Speaker 11: Your you're forty. It's you're like that. You know that's
- 1:02:41Speaker 11: that Hunger is important.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: Well, I appreciate that.
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: Yeah, that, But all the things, all the things you say,
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: you're saying is great when now it's on the other
- 1:02:50Speaker 4: side of it.
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: Yeah, when is enough enough?
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: Like when can you sit there and be comfortable with
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: the human being you are the success that you've had. Instead,
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: I'm enough Now I've proven what I've had to prove.
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: Now i can go enjoy my life because some people
- 1:03:04Speaker 4: work until they die.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: Yeah, but I don't like that, you know, I'm just
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: I'm misphrasing.
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: A question I've always liked because you said a couple
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: of times. I think you said on the first time
- 1:03:13Speaker 2: You're on too, is like you have this philosophy too,
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: of like wanting to be the best, and you always
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: talk about how dangerous that is and how slippery slope
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: it is because you can get in the rat race
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: of working essentially until you Yes, So.
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: I called that before you even go into that.
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: We had people on this podcast before Mike, who is
- 1:03:30Speaker 4: an artist. He has tattooed on his leg don't try,
- 1:03:34Speaker 4: don't try.
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a completely different philosophy.
- 1:03:37Speaker 11: Chinese idea who weigh effort without effort, you know, without effort?
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: That that's that that that.
- 1:03:42Speaker 11: Sort of again becomes the idea of So I told you,
- 1:03:46Speaker 11: don't don't start thinking that you have awareness. I don't
- 1:03:49Speaker 11: like that you know, wou Wei is the idea of
- 1:03:52Speaker 11: I just have an intention that'll be there.
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: I trust that to be there.
- 1:03:56Speaker 11: And as far as like so, so, I think what
- 1:03:58Speaker 11: you're talking about, and I see this with a lot
- 1:04:01Speaker 11: of successful people who are still desperately insecure and what
- 1:04:05Speaker 11: motivates them as a whole they can't fill.
- 1:04:07Speaker 3: That's not what I'm talking about.
- 1:04:08Speaker 11: You have to be very careful of that, because I
- 1:04:11Speaker 11: think that one of the traps is the quest for
- 1:04:16Speaker 11: self perfection. If you get too obsessed with being self perfecting,
- 1:04:24Speaker 11: you know, great shape. I've read all the books. I
- 1:04:30Speaker 11: set my goals and I just crossed the line. I
- 1:04:33Speaker 11: got a billion dollars. Why not ten billion dollars. You'll
- 1:04:36Speaker 11: miss your kids growing up, You'll miss connection to your wife,
- 1:04:39Speaker 11: you'll miss connection with your friends, and you'll wake up
- 1:04:42Speaker 11: and you know. Tolstoy the greatest writer by many people's metric,
- 1:04:48Speaker 11: of all time. Tolstoy, at fifty years old, wrote a
- 1:04:51Speaker 11: book called a Confession. At fifty his goal was to
- 1:04:55Speaker 11: be mentioned in the same breath as Freud and Darwin,
- 1:04:58Speaker 11: and he was. He was a world famous writer. He
- 1:05:02Speaker 11: had more money, he had more recognition. He used to
- 1:05:05Speaker 11: work out with the peasantry because he wanted his body
- 1:05:08Speaker 11: to be incredibly strong. I mean he was everything physically,
- 1:05:12Speaker 11: you know, a specimen, the best, the greatest writer. He's astonishing.
- 1:05:16Speaker 11: Like the way he writes is like the fuck, you know.
- 1:05:20Speaker 11: And then he was fifty years old and he had
- 1:05:23Speaker 11: a rope in his hand. He had to go in
- 1:05:24Speaker 11: the back shed to do some stuff with a rope,
- 1:05:27Speaker 11: and he froze and he went by, go in the back,
- 1:05:29Speaker 11: I'm gonna I'm gonna hang myself. And then his friend
- 1:05:33Speaker 11: wanted to go hunting, and he goes, I can't go hunting.
- 1:05:35Speaker 11: I'm gonna shoot myself.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: And he had this crisis, and the reason and the
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: crisis was this, he had spent his whole life perfecting Tollstoy,
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: and what he realized was that he was at the
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: top of this wall and it was the wrong wall
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: to climb, or he didn't like the view or something
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: like that, or the fact that there.
- 1:05:57Speaker 11: Was nothing else to try to conquer. Oh my god,
- 1:06:00Speaker 11: now what now?
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: What?
- 1:06:03Speaker 11: That's what you have to be careful of the idea
- 1:06:06Speaker 11: that you you lived a life without any faith, without
- 1:06:09Speaker 11: the idea that maybe you should get closer to things
- 1:06:11Speaker 11: that you can't measure.
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: That's a weird thing to say, but it's true.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: Good player games out there that Yeah, well, I'm sure
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: you've probably read, you've seen well versed in the in
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: the book where like naval Ravakhani talks about like single
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: player games well knowing if you're in multiplayer games and
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: stuff like that.
- 1:06:25Speaker 11: I don't know that book, but I know that what
- 1:06:27Speaker 11: what what I think Tolstoy came against was was something
- 1:06:30Speaker 11: called false idol worship.
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: You're worshiping false idols.
- 1:06:34Speaker 11: Your idol can be your fucking self. If you, if you,
- 1:06:38Speaker 11: if you, and if you're the end all and be all,
- 1:06:40Speaker 11: If it stops and starts with you, you're fucked. That's why
- 1:06:44Speaker 11: being in a position of giving, that's why giving and
- 1:06:47Speaker 11: deciding that you're going to be in a position of service,
- 1:06:51Speaker 11: and you got to get to that point where you're
- 1:06:53Speaker 11: doing it for something else. Where you're you're you're guided
- 1:06:57Speaker 11: by something bigger than yourself, that you're more than yourtites.
- 1:07:00Speaker 11: This is why it's so important to be a principled person.
- 1:07:03Speaker 11: This is why you get away with nothing in life.
- 1:07:05Speaker 11: You better be aligned with the truth. You better if
- 1:07:08Speaker 11: you don't align yourself completely with the truth, and you
- 1:07:10Speaker 11: know what the truth is, you feel it, and when
- 1:07:12Speaker 11: you when you veer from that, you run into all
- 1:07:15Speaker 11: kinds of problems. But all you can do and the
- 1:07:17Speaker 11: truth is a motherfucker. Sometimes sometimes it's really hard. It
- 1:07:19Speaker 11: doesn't matter. But I think that's what I think. That's
- 1:07:23Speaker 11: why you don't get away with it. I think that
- 1:07:25Speaker 11: when that aligning yourself with the truth of what's actually important,
- 1:07:30Speaker 11: and it's more than yourself, it's going beyond yourself, it's
- 1:07:33Speaker 11: reaching beyond yourself. That's kind of what That's what I
- 1:07:36Speaker 11: think is very important. That's the next step for guys
- 1:07:39Speaker 11: who have achieved so much in one thing. Now you're
- 1:07:43Speaker 11: doing this, but as you move on with your life
- 1:07:45Speaker 11: because you have children, I think it's very important to
- 1:07:49Speaker 11: align yourself with that.
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: You know what that is. You can call it God,
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: you can call it whatever you want.
- 1:07:54Speaker 11: I don't give a shit, but that that you know
- 1:07:57Speaker 11: this this expression, I said to my buddy, he's he's
- 1:08:00Speaker 11: made all the money. He's my age, he's made all
- 1:08:01Speaker 11: the money. Whatever you think is a lot of money.
- 1:08:03Speaker 11: Like his his property in London, in England. We were
- 1:08:06Speaker 11: out there hunting on his property. And I go, where
- 1:08:09Speaker 11: where does your property end? And he goes, and I went,
- 1:08:15Speaker 11: what are you doing? He goes, as far as you
- 1:08:16Speaker 11: I can see that way, and as far as I
- 1:08:18Speaker 11: can see that.
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: Way, that's how much money he has. Like there's private
- 1:08:21Speaker 3: jet money, then there's two private jets money.
- 1:08:24Speaker 11: And but we were talking and he said, I, uh,
- 1:08:29Speaker 11: you know, something's kind of I'm looking for something more
- 1:08:32Speaker 11: talking about aahuasca and stuff. And I said, I think
- 1:08:35Speaker 11: that's because you can hear God clearing his throat in
- 1:08:39Speaker 11: the other room. Do you ever feel that, like you know,
- 1:08:43Speaker 11: whatever that is? That that thing I'm fucking up over here?
- 1:08:47Speaker 11: I should be over here. I'm lying a little bit,
- 1:08:49Speaker 11: is okay? And if you hear that, I know, I
- 1:08:55Speaker 11: know you're there, but I'm just going to create the noise.
- 1:08:57Speaker 11: I'll get to you in a second. He's just like, okay,
- 1:08:59Speaker 11: I'll be here. That's the truth.
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: Did you find me? I hope everybody is dialed in?
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Is I feel like I am just literally zoned in?
- 1:09:09Speaker 3: That makes sense?
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: That makes sense.
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: How in your development of life have you gained this
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: knowledge and found this clarity?
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: Like?
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: What what was your process?
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: The opposite making truth? Making mistakes? Yes, being convenient.
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's the same thing like when you have kids.
- 1:09:26Speaker 4: If you're like, I've already done it the hard way,
- 1:09:28Speaker 4: how would you teach your kids to see it this
- 1:09:30Speaker 4: way with making half the mistakes when they have to
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: make the same mistakes.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: So so that's very difficult.
- 1:09:35Speaker 11: I my my philosophy with my children is get get
- 1:09:37Speaker 11: them very good at one thing, because that's how you
- 1:09:41Speaker 11: find out about yourself. You can't get good at something
- 1:09:44Speaker 11: without confronting your your shortcomings, right, you can't get really good.
- 1:09:48Speaker 11: You're gonna hit plateaus. Anytime you try to get good
- 1:09:51Speaker 11: at something, you're gonna fucking hit plateaus. I don't care
- 1:09:53Speaker 11: if it's jiu jitsu, I don't care if it's the guitar.
- 1:09:56Speaker 11: But try to be the best you can be for
- 1:09:57Speaker 11: its own sake. You know, there's the great saying. Schiller
- 1:10:01Speaker 11: was a German philosopher. He said, man is never more
- 1:10:05Speaker 11: himself than when at play. Not Play is not hookers
- 1:10:10Speaker 11: in an apole. Play is that thing you would do
- 1:10:14Speaker 11: for its own sake, that thing you do that you
- 1:10:17Speaker 11: would do regardless of whether there was money or anything else.
- 1:10:20Speaker 11: When you are playing like this, like the game, when
- 1:10:25Speaker 11: everything is in flow.
- 1:10:26Speaker 3: That's when you feel that's when you truly feel like
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: you're yourself.
- 1:10:29Speaker 11: There's something about that where you just feel like, oh man,
- 1:10:32Speaker 11: I'm fucking this is who I really am. It's like
- 1:10:36Speaker 11: it's what Nietzsche and and Schopenhauer called will. Most of
- 1:10:41Speaker 11: our life is having to go through life.
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: I gotta piss, I gotta eat, I gotta have sex,
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: I gotta sleep. There's that. You gotta keep the.
- 1:10:49Speaker 11: Machine going right, there's something about the machine. But then
- 1:10:53Speaker 11: there are those moments just dying. It's fucking dying, doesn't
- 1:10:59Speaker 11: that sounds serious? That sounds serious. Yeah, that was a
- 1:11:03Speaker 11: back door. That was a guy in the back be.
- 1:11:05Speaker 3: Funny if there was a dart. There's a dart in
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: his neck and I just.
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Know you're crying and he is speaking. Don't even worry
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: about that. Don't even worry about that. A little bit
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: of a coffiect, like like ane.
- 1:11:19Speaker 3: But it's getting to what we're talking about is what's important.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: It's important to know what's important. It's important to know
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: where to place your energy. It's for young people, but
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: you know, Nietzsche and and Chauvin and I were talked
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: about this look most of your life is go to bed,
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: wake up, eat, you know, go to work because you
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: have to make money for more food and for a roof.
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: And it's like a repeat, you know.
- 1:11:43Speaker 11: It's just like you got to keep the machine going,
- 1:11:44Speaker 11: you got to keep your body at a certain temperature.
- 1:11:47Speaker 11: But then there are those moments in life when you
- 1:11:50Speaker 11: forget you're human, those moments when you hear something beautiful,
- 1:11:54Speaker 11: you hear beautiful music, you see a movie, you you, you,
- 1:11:58Speaker 11: you're you're in a conversation like this where you're just
- 1:12:00Speaker 11: zeroed in, you know, you you see a painting that
- 1:12:05Speaker 11: brings you to your fucking knees. And in those moments,
- 1:12:09Speaker 11: it's kind of an arrested development. It puts you in
- 1:12:12Speaker 11: high relief where you you forget that you have to
- 1:12:16Speaker 11: do all the things that a human being has to do.
- 1:12:18Speaker 11: You forget about your biology for a bit, you know,
- 1:12:21Speaker 11: those moments of just like it's like, fuck, if you
- 1:12:24Speaker 11: tell me God doesn't exist right now. It could be
- 1:12:26Speaker 11: deep intimacy and connection with like your wife or something.
- 1:12:29Speaker 11: Those moments that you stay alive for.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: That's that's that's kind of the quest.
- 1:12:35Speaker 11: That's when you kind of go, fuck, there's I don't
- 1:12:38Speaker 11: know how to define truth, but man, I feel it
- 1:12:40Speaker 11: because whatever that was was what I want more of.
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: I want to be closer to that.
- 1:12:45Speaker 11: And sometimes you can get that by experiencing that, which
- 1:12:48Speaker 11: is what's great about your job as an artist or
- 1:12:51Speaker 11: your job, or you can get great by doing that.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: You know, That's that's kind of what's beautiful about it.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: Seem like you have like a lot of joy, like
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: having your curiosity and seeking this type of.
- 1:13:03Speaker 11: Well, he said, how did you come to that time
- 1:13:06Speaker 11: making way more mistakes than you guys? Living my life
- 1:13:10Speaker 11: for a long time, like I was one of God's favorites.
- 1:13:13Speaker 11: When you're young and shit's happen and you're kicking ass
- 1:13:17Speaker 11: and you know you just had a good you were
- 1:13:19Speaker 11: lucky enough to have a good upbringing and things worked out,
- 1:13:22Speaker 11: you start to think that, you know, the laws of
- 1:13:25Speaker 11: the universe don't apply to you. You can bend the
- 1:13:27Speaker 11: rules a little bit, fuck around, you know, just you know,
- 1:13:31Speaker 11: do whatever, have your cake and eat it too. I
- 1:13:34Speaker 11: don't have to be bugging, you know. And then you go,
- 1:13:37Speaker 11: oh shit, And then the flood comes, some kind of
- 1:13:40Speaker 11: chaos will hit you, all of us, everybody. It happens
- 1:13:43Speaker 11: doesn't matter what you are, you know, you know, it
- 1:13:45Speaker 11: could be whatever, and you're like, oh fuck, and then
- 1:13:49Speaker 11: it bends your back a little bit, humbles you a
- 1:13:52Speaker 11: little bit.
- 1:13:53Speaker 3: That's a beautiful.
- 1:13:53Speaker 11: Thing because you only learn in those moments. So that's
- 1:13:57Speaker 11: kind of what happens.
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: Well, yeah, well you seem to have a lot of
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: knowledge and like all this of obviously you love to
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: read and get in curiosity. Like I feel like things
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: had to have happened to start to seek this kind

- 1:15:46Speaker 4: talked to them during the podcast. Yeah, one in the
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: back right, he's trying to become the third member of
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: our podcast.

- 1:15:53Speaker 2: You guys have.
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: Noticed if you notice when JP was talking to the
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: gentleman in his right or left.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: He didn't use the mic.
- 1:16:03Speaker 4: Jack, we mentioned his name one time, he grabbed that
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: mic and he's leaning in now he's ready to speak.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: Good and go ahead, thank you.
- 1:16:09Speaker 6: I will say for our fans, people get upset when
- 1:16:12Speaker 6: you don't use the mic, no matter who you.
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: Are on this bus.
- 1:16:14Speaker 5: Really, I'm gonna grab the mic every time.

- 1:16:18Speaker 11: I'm saying this. I cannot fucking believe believe that. I
- 1:16:21Speaker 11: just cannot believe that, in in a space this small,
- 1:16:26Speaker 11: two men can work them ustache.
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: I'm very happy that mustache truly means the world to
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: make I mean.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: Brian say to say that again for him?
- 1:16:36Speaker 11: Well, I mean, I mean, obviously Taylor can work him
- 1:16:39Speaker 11: with Stash. But I got fucking d'Artagnan to my right
- 1:16:43Speaker 11: over there, and if he's not wearing a sword, he should,
- 1:16:46Speaker 11: And why he's not on a horse right now is
- 1:16:49Speaker 11: beyond me. But congratulations, Yak. His name is fucking Yack,
- 1:16:55Speaker 11: the Yaguar.
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: Yach, the Yaguar. Yeah, Jack, Yeah that got you. Brother.
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: Kid's a looker.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: Yeah, he's a good looking cat. He is a good

- 1:17:19Speaker 1: just put a mullet in.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: It did.
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: Yeah, it's my lack of identity right now. I'm trying
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: to figure it all out. He cuts, He cuts the
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: moll and gets the fane, then talks about how he.
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: Does don't like fades.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: I'm not a thing like.
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: If I was going to cut my hair short, I
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: go a four.
- 1:17:32Speaker 4: And if I didn't have the mull, I would just
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: go a four and then keep a little.
- 1:17:35Speaker 11: Yeah that that It makes me a little bit angry.
- 1:17:37Speaker 11: Your stupid haircut right now? Yeah, back on, because I
- 1:17:40Speaker 11: think it's disrespectful to guys like me. They don't have
- 1:17:42Speaker 11: hair like that.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: Bro, you're you're you're in the mid fifties with hair
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: like that. That's a solid hairline. That's a solid hairline
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: for your age.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: You have like a built in put it up.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I put it up.

- 1:18:19Speaker 3: to be proud of that. You years old.
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: I don't know why, like you're yeah, you got a
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: little bit of a widow's peak going, why not get
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: the fucking plugs?
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: Brother?
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: Why not?
- 1:18:29Speaker 11: And just I don't know what you have. I did it,
- 1:18:32Speaker 11: but it didn't it didn't take. Really, you did it
- 1:18:34Speaker 11: long time ago. I was about your age. Didn't take though,
- 1:18:37Speaker 11: What do you mean it didn't take?
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: It didn't take. It's just my my hair.
- 1:18:40Speaker 11: It's some people would when you know, back then, they would,
- 1:18:43Speaker 11: you know, just put them in like that and different.
- 1:18:45Speaker 11: They take a strip out of your head. But he said,
- 1:18:47Speaker 11: you have a very tight scalp, and you may be
- 1:18:50Speaker 11: can't sometimes it just doesn't take that Back then you
- 1:18:54Speaker 11: can do a no, you can fuck you know what

- 1:19:13Speaker 2: three year old figure out of the woods. I think
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: you're gonna thin. Yeah, but you're not gonna be the
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: dude with the could de.
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: Sac let me see it? Yeah, yeah, you're okay for
- 1:19:23Speaker 3: now you have the kind of you can shave your head. Yeah.

- 1:19:35Speaker 2: uh yeah, circular. Yeah, but I've always had a little
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: bit of a peek. Do you know why I got
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: a hair transplant? I didn't even need one at a
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: time basically. I mean it was kind of like when
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: my father. My father goes, hey, i'll.
- 1:19:48Speaker 11: Pay for you to get a hair transplant because I
- 1:19:51Speaker 11: want to see how it works shit, And I go

- 1:20:04Speaker 11: guinea pig.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: And you were like, yeah, no problem, I'll absolutely do that.
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: I don't remember how many grafts I got, but you got.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: I remember the guy looked at me and he goes,
- 1:20:11Speaker 3: he goes, you know, I go, what do I And
- 1:20:13Speaker 3: he goes, I mean I could, you are probably gonna

- 1:20:33Speaker 4: actually talking to Alan or Barber about it. Oh he
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: told me about it.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I said, uh, he goes, Taylor wanted me to
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: tell you and and talk you and the getting hair plugs.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: I said, that's not how the conversation went. That's not

- 1:20:53Speaker 2: tell will get them, get them plugged.
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: You talk about it, and I'm in my mind I
- 1:20:56Speaker 4: might just do something about it. You make a lot
- 1:20:58Speaker 4: of money, you do well, you can.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: I like talk about it.
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: It's fun to like joke about something I don't.

- 1:21:22Speaker 11: that's their thing now in Turkey. Hair of istumble.
- 1:21:27Speaker 6: And it's a bunch of guys on a plane and
- 1:21:30Speaker 6: those are like.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: Yep, there's like fifteen people. Yeah, that's right.
- 1:21:34Speaker 2: I would love to be on that plane one day,
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: you know what I mean, Just when you're just struggling,
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: like it's gone. Yeah, Like once I started actually getting
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: like the old man, then that's when it's time to
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: make a decision I worry about. But right now it's like, yeah,
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: it's annoying, dude, annoying every time.
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: First of all, you have a you have hair that

- 1:24:34Speaker 3: the split there too. Christtagine if you were.
- 1:24:37Speaker 11: A doctor and you were like I used to play
- 1:24:39Speaker 11: in the NFL on the wall and go to your
- 1:24:42Speaker 11: happy place, and I would hope you as you went up,
- 1:24:47Speaker 11: you're canna hear this? Concentrate on the sound vibration, right
- 1:24:53Speaker 11: and then and then I feel your mustache on the
- 1:24:55Speaker 11: back of my neck.

- 1:25:00Speaker 3: Breathing. How is it, doctor, Doctor? Is my prosy flat
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: as a pancake or what? Why don't you shut your mouth?

- 1:25:17Speaker 3: na D. You don't. I don't do any of that bullshit.
- 1:25:20Speaker 3: I don't do any of that ship. I don't do
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: na D. Don't believe in it, don't even think it works.
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: I said it, Wow, you're not a pussy.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: Whoever you're thinking of telling him looking at that camera
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: and say, you're not a You're not.
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: A pussy pussy?
- 1:25:36Speaker 3: See that, man, they do it.
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: There's so many things that just went through. What can
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: we go back on and talk about a little bit
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: more where he had us hooked.
- 1:25:45Speaker 3: We know that Tim Kennedy's kids are good.
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: Yeah, we know that he didn't jump on the I
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: don't know if he's related to the Kennedy's.
- 1:25:51Speaker 4: Let's talk about that bliss, that truth, that thing that
- 1:25:54Speaker 4: took you and you're like, biology doesn't matter anymore.
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: This is God.
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: You find that in comedy? Is that while you're so
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: passionate about comedy.
- 1:26:02Speaker 11: I always knew that, you know, the biggest thing, the
- 1:26:05Speaker 11: biggest privilege maybe is as a young person is when
- 1:26:08Speaker 11: you figure out what it is you want to do.
- 1:26:10Speaker 11: I think the most important things are really it's the
- 1:26:12Speaker 11: hardest thing to figure out. Yes, I think that the
- 1:26:15Speaker 11: maybe it's not the hardest thing to figure out. The
- 1:26:18Speaker 11: hardest thing might be there are two things that go on.
- 1:26:20Speaker 11: I think when you're young, you have to expose yourself
- 1:26:23Speaker 11: to a lot of different things. Right, so, there's this
- 1:26:25Speaker 11: idea that you immerse yourself in the best that's been
- 1:26:28Speaker 11: thought and said. It's the idea behind education, the idea
- 1:26:32Speaker 11: behind what's the value of reading good literature. What's the
- 1:26:36Speaker 11: value of watching good movies instead of bullshit trash. What's
- 1:26:40Speaker 11: the value of understanding why one piece of music is
- 1:26:43Speaker 11: better than the other. What's the value of having a
- 1:26:46Speaker 11: sense of having some historical context?
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: Why read philosophy?
- 1:26:52Speaker 11: The reason you did that as a young person is
- 1:26:54Speaker 11: to expose yourself to a lot of different ideas. And
- 1:26:57Speaker 11: sometimes when you do that, something might resonate. Read very loudly.
- 1:27:01Speaker 11: And if it does, follow that, follow that direction. Follow
- 1:27:06Speaker 11: that direction. Sorry, guys, follow that. Iypologize. I'm new to podcasts.
- 1:27:14Speaker 11: It's silent, but but you know, so that's one thing,
- 1:27:17Speaker 11: right you, If you're lucky enough sometimes to be thrown
- 1:27:20Speaker 11: into something where it just clicks, you just go, I'm home.
- 1:27:23Speaker 11: This feels great, follow that truth, because that'll lead you
- 1:27:27Speaker 11: to other things that are much better, right, or just
- 1:27:29Speaker 11: as good. It'll inform your whole life. You'll learn about yourself.
- 1:27:32Speaker 11: But sometimes I think in life you don't know that
- 1:27:35Speaker 11: you're you know, you have limited understanding, you have limited exposure,
- 1:27:39Speaker 11: so the world's confusing to you. You don't know where
- 1:27:42Speaker 11: to place your energy. So there are two ways out.
- 1:27:44Speaker 11: One again is to expose yourself to as much as
- 1:27:47Speaker 11: you can educate yourself.
- 1:27:49Speaker 3: Read, you know, read people who've been.
- 1:27:52Speaker 11: There before, you know. That's why I think reading great
- 1:27:55Speaker 11: philosophy is important. Whether it's Seneca or Marcus Aurelius or
- 1:28:00Speaker 11: or whatever it might be. There's a reason they're They're
- 1:28:01Speaker 11: these wisdoms that you'll go, oh, fuck, you know me too,
- 1:28:05Speaker 11: you know, I need to figure these things out. I
- 1:28:07Speaker 11: can't escape the responsibility of being a human being. But
- 1:28:11Speaker 11: the I think that's that's a very important aspect, you know.
- 1:28:17Speaker 11: But then if you can't do that, here's another way out.
- 1:28:20Speaker 11: If you're a young person again, pick anything and just
- 1:28:25Speaker 11: dive into it blindly and get really good at it.
- 1:28:28Speaker 11: It's what the value of a black belt in jiu
- 1:28:30Speaker 11: jitsu is. It's what the value of being able to
- 1:28:32Speaker 11: play any song you can on a guitar. It's the
- 1:28:36Speaker 11: value of anything like that is, even if you don't
- 1:28:38Speaker 11: get that good at it is, you will start to
- 1:28:41Speaker 11: understand that the world is not as big a mystery
- 1:28:43Speaker 11: as you think it is, that people around you are
- 1:28:47Speaker 11: not smarter. They just they have a better operating system
- 1:28:52Speaker 11: because somebody taught them how to do it. The worst
- 1:28:54Speaker 11: thing you can do is say The worst thing you
- 1:28:56Speaker 11: can do is say, oh, that's not for me. I'm
- 1:28:59Speaker 11: not I'll just be a spectator in life.
- 1:29:02Speaker 3: Don't do that. I can't believe that I was able
- 1:29:05Speaker 3: to do stand up. I couldn't believe it. I was
- 1:29:08Speaker 3: so terrified.
- 1:29:09Speaker 11: Like the first time I did stand up, I was like,
- 1:29:11Speaker 11: I was always the funny guy I was, you know,
- 1:29:14Speaker 11: I was trying to be an actor and I got
- 1:29:18Speaker 11: on stage rules. Yes, but the first time I got
- 1:29:21Speaker 11: on stage, I was twenty six as a comic.
- 1:29:26Speaker 3: And relatively like from an age group of labs.
- 1:29:29Speaker 11: Start it's late, man, because I was I just didn't
- 1:29:32Speaker 11: think it belonged to me. I just didn't think. I mean,
- 1:29:34Speaker 11: I'm funny, but I'm not professionally funny, you know. And
- 1:29:38Speaker 11: and what a surprise, what a surprise. It still is
- 1:29:41Speaker 11: what a surprise it still is that I can fucking
- 1:29:44Speaker 11: I do a special and I go, I can't write,
- 1:29:46Speaker 11: I have nothing left to say, and then all of
- 1:29:48Speaker 11: a sudden something comes and I go, oh, man, man,
- 1:29:52Speaker 11: it just keeps coming. You keep just just stay still
- 1:29:55Speaker 11: and and you know, key into the personal questions. What
- 1:29:59Speaker 11: am I really afraid of? What do I honestly revere?
- 1:30:02Speaker 11: How do I want to die? What do I want
- 1:30:04Speaker 11: to say when I die? What am I going to
- 1:30:05Speaker 11: regret when I die?
- 1:30:07Speaker 3: What if? What would I regret if I died? Right now?
- 1:30:09Speaker 11: You start asking yourself these deep personal questions, and that's
- 1:30:13Speaker 11: the that's the value of being still and letting things
- 1:30:18Speaker 11: come to you.
- 1:30:18Speaker 3: It's not comfortable, it's really not comfortable. It's scary. Why
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: is that? I don't know why?
- 1:30:23Speaker 11: But sometimes just being still and letting something let just
- 1:30:27Speaker 11: waiting for something to show itself to you. You know
- 1:30:30Speaker 11: that idea of like kind of like you show up.
- 1:30:33Speaker 11: It's kind of an act of faith. You know, when
- 1:30:35Speaker 11: you're when you're trying to write, or you're trying to
- 1:30:37Speaker 11: figure out what it is you want to do with
- 1:30:39Speaker 11: your life, sit still for a second, man, and listen
- 1:30:42Speaker 11: to that that that guy clearing his throat in the
- 1:30:46Speaker 11: other room go in that direction.
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: Man, that's the value.
- 1:30:50Speaker 11: So I think those are those are very those are
- 1:30:53Speaker 11: the most important things I'm speaking. I guess maybe just
- 1:30:58Speaker 11: for men. I don't know how to speak.
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:31:01Speaker 11: I can speak for young men because I was a
- 1:31:02Speaker 11: young man. But I think the same applies to women.
- 1:31:05Speaker 11: I think the same applies to all human beings. You
- 1:31:07Speaker 11: want purpose, and you want meaning, and you want direction,
- 1:31:12Speaker 11: you know, and it never goes away.
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: Though. Yeah, it's funny because you guys are listening, so
- 1:31:16Speaker 3: the whole room is quiet.
- 1:31:17Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:31:17Speaker 11: It's funny when you start talking this way and older
- 1:31:19Speaker 11: guys starts talking. So even though you've been successful and
- 1:31:22Speaker 11: stuff like that, it's like you're like, wait a minute,
- 1:31:25Speaker 11: this might be a way to navigate the rest of
- 1:31:26Speaker 11: my life, right, We all want that?
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, because it is scary, scary, scar always scary, man.
- 1:31:32Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I would moment not feeling fulfilled is like
- 1:31:35Speaker 4: one of the most terrifying things in my mind is
- 1:31:37Speaker 4: like I don't think about if I died tomorrow. I
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: think when it's all over, like, am I going to
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: be proud of what I was able to make or
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: what I was able to achieve. Yeah, and then you
- 1:31:46Speaker 4: just kind of working through those on a daily basis.
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: But it's so hard, well especially you try to grow
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: as a human. And then sometimes I sit there, I'm like, bro,
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: how much more do I have to grow? Or how
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: much more do I have to try to be better
- 1:31:57Speaker 4: at things? And I just like be good with this?
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: And it's now for like the ability to be able
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: to do less or you're trying to like rush those yeah,
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: things because they kind of just come to you. And
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: when you're just I feel like sitting and reflecting and
- 1:32:08Speaker 2: trying to get to know that truth that you're trying
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: to speak of, like the thing that makes you like
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: gravitate you towards.
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: It's the big big sea. Yeah, don't talk about it
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: like it's work. So I don't. I don't.
- 1:32:18Speaker 11: The idea of hammering things is how we're kind of
- 1:32:20Speaker 11: taught to be. You gotta be disciplined to do that.
- 1:32:22Speaker 11: I can't stand that ship. You gotta wake up early
- 1:32:24Speaker 11: and then the funk off.
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: I love that. I don't know. I'm not. I'm not
- 1:32:28Speaker 3: a seal. I wouldn't make it. I'd get the guy
- 1:32:31Speaker 3: I I haven't hate those guys. No, I don't hate
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: hate dogs.
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: Yeah, those are what we think.
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: I think Doggins is down the road even I want
- 1:32:40Speaker 3: to fight them and I I want to get in
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: their face. I want to grab Jocko Willick. I want
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: to grab him and I want to get aggressed.
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: Bentwood.
- 1:32:48Speaker 3: I don't have no no, please, please, sir, please sir.
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: I hate that. Yeah, you just see my I just
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: start to piss.
- 1:32:55Speaker 2: But there is a level.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: There's a lot like doing something uncomfortable every single day.
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: No, no, no, but see, that's fine. That's fine.
- 1:33:01Speaker 11: If you want to climb on everest in a fucking wheelchair, Okay,
- 1:33:04Speaker 11: it's fine. If you want we want to run until
- 1:33:07Speaker 11: your feet fall off. I understand there is a value
- 1:33:11Speaker 11: to that. I don't care about that. What I care
- 1:33:15Speaker 11: about is inspiration, you know, I don't think that's There
- 1:33:20Speaker 11: are people like Goggins and Jocko Willock who can fucking
- 1:33:24Speaker 11: just that's what makes them feel alive, the idea that
- 1:33:27Speaker 11: they can grind and they can keep grinding. I don't
- 1:33:30Speaker 11: think most people. That's not where I find inspiration. Physical,
- 1:33:34Speaker 11: physical exertion to the point of that doesn't help me
- 1:33:37Speaker 11: be funnier I'll tell you that that shit's great, but
- 1:33:39Speaker 11: not for me. I can't run twenty miles and at
- 1:33:41Speaker 11: the end of twenty miles, I'm funnier. That doesn't not
- 1:33:46Speaker 11: how it works for me. I believe in inspiration. I
- 1:33:49Speaker 11: believe that human beings are always moving toward pleasure and
- 1:33:52Speaker 11: away from pain. And you have to associate discipline with pleasure.
- 1:33:55Speaker 11: You have to associate discipline with freedom. You have to
- 1:33:58Speaker 11: associate discipline with true north.
- 1:34:02Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:34:02Speaker 11: Okay, So I don't like the idea of discipline for
- 1:34:06Speaker 11: its own sake. That sounds like punishment for me, and
- 1:34:09Speaker 11: it doesn't. You can't sustain it.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: Yeah, but it seems like that's just your association with it. Wow,
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: everything with it the other way you look at his pleasure.
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: Yeah, I think talking about.
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: Anything with inspiration, like it's like, you know, the day
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: one Will Compton won't be the same as day thirty
- 1:34:22Speaker 2: because day thirty you're like in it and you're like, yeah,
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: I fucking I'd like to not do X, Y and
- 1:34:27Speaker 2: Z today when it's like depending on what you're wanting.
- 1:34:29Speaker 3: But you guys going problem with discipline.
- 1:34:32Speaker 11: See, when I'm talking to guys like you, you everybody
- 1:34:34Speaker 11: has problems with it. But I'm saying you're very coachable.
- 1:34:38Speaker 11: Like if I said that that that you guys would
- 1:34:39Speaker 11: do it if you had fires me up. Yeah, that's fine,
- 1:34:43Speaker 11: it does. But but you'll do it, and you'll do
- 1:34:46Speaker 11: what I say.
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: Yeah and uh.
- 1:34:49Speaker 3: And but but I think that you know, you got
- 1:34:52Speaker 3: to get to the why, why are you doing this?
- 1:34:55Speaker 3: That's keep reminding yourself of that.
- 1:34:57Speaker 11: And maybe if you get to the why, and the
- 1:35:00Speaker 11: why resonates with who you really are, resonates with truth,
- 1:35:04Speaker 11: then it won't feel like the grind. It'll feel like
- 1:35:07Speaker 11: you're after something. And the cool thing about the journey
- 1:35:10Speaker 11: is not getting there, but what you learn along the way,
- 1:35:13Speaker 11: these small gifts of revelation. That's probably what fulfillment is.
- 1:35:18Speaker 11: Where you start to settle. You start to settle where
- 1:35:21Speaker 11: you go. You're not a mystery to me, man, I
- 1:35:24Speaker 11: can talk to anybody now at my age. I don't
- 1:35:26Speaker 11: care how smart you are. I don't care what your
- 1:35:27Speaker 11: accolades are. You know, I admire a lot of people,
- 1:35:30Speaker 11: but you don't. Necessarily you don't. You don't live in
- 1:35:35Speaker 11: a secret room. There are no secrets. The mystery might
- 1:35:38Speaker 11: be that there's no mystery. You know there's no higher level,
- 1:35:42Speaker 11: higher plane. No, no, no, I think I know it's important.
- 1:35:46Speaker 11: I think I know where to place my energy right,
- 1:35:49Speaker 11: And I think I know when I'm fooling myself, and
- 1:35:51Speaker 11: I certainly know when somebody's fooling everybody else. And I
- 1:35:54Speaker 11: know the difference between spectacle and true entertainment. I know
- 1:36:00Speaker 11: the difference between entertainment and inspiration and true art. You
- 1:36:07Speaker 11: know that's important. Learn learn the meaningful difference between things,
- 1:36:12Speaker 11: and your life will be a lot more rich. That's
- 1:36:14Speaker 11: a really important thing to understand the difference. It's really
- 1:36:18Speaker 11: important to be able to articulate and be able to say,
- 1:36:21Speaker 11: I don't like that. I know how you're packaging this
- 1:36:23Speaker 11: idea politics, equality, equity. What's wrong with that? Is a
- 1:36:29Speaker 11: lot wrong with that? When that becomes the end all
- 1:36:32Speaker 11: and be all, that's dangerous.
- 1:36:34Speaker 3: I know why.
- 1:36:35Speaker 11: I can point to history and I have my political
- 1:36:38Speaker 11: philosophy and my moral philosophy in place.
- 1:36:42Speaker 3: It's really important, right, so you don't get fooled by
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: the packaging.
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: How do we get that back to discipline? Because he
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: just yeah, he did a good job of that.
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: Just me.
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: He made me hang up on like knowing, like believing
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: what you believe and not wavering.
- 1:36:56Speaker 3: Off what you believe. Well, that's where it all comes your.
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: Difficult Well, people run into the issue that I've seen
- 1:37:01Speaker 4: from other people that I'm around is they have a
- 1:37:04Speaker 4: belief system, but they are not in a growth mindset
- 1:37:07Speaker 4: willing to see the other side of anything. So how
- 1:37:10Speaker 4: are you able to have your beliefs and everything that
- 1:37:14Speaker 4: you believe is correct while also listening to other people
- 1:37:17Speaker 4: to continue to grow and maybe change a few of
- 1:37:19Speaker 4: those things once in a while, Because having concrete opinions
- 1:37:22Speaker 4: on things is extremely dangerous to me, extremely I think
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: if you're like, there are basic moral codes, don't kill people,
- 1:37:31Speaker 4: don't do you know, don't steal, don't rape, like those things. Yeah,
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: we can all sit there concretely don't do that. But
- 1:37:37Speaker 4: then you get into the find out you said politics, like,
- 1:37:40Speaker 4: people make great points on both sides, yes, from ideams.
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: That's entertaining for you, is not entertaining for me. It's
- 1:37:46Speaker 4: not concrete perfect entertainment because you just you said it
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: is like, how do you figure that out and figure
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: out what you're in?
- 1:37:53Speaker 11: Good question, and it's a very good question because you know,
- 1:37:57Speaker 11: Rogan and I talk about this all the time because
- 1:37:59Speaker 11: when we were young men, we used to shout our
- 1:38:01Speaker 11: opinions at each other. Right, we were concrete. We identified
- 1:38:04Speaker 11: so strongly with our ideas, and I think what's really
- 1:38:07Speaker 11: important is to understand that there's distance between ideas. You
- 1:38:10Speaker 11: have to have principles in life, right, you have to
- 1:38:13Speaker 11: have an ethical and moral code and principles. Those should
- 1:38:16Speaker 11: be the bedrock that you anchor into when the winds
- 1:38:19Speaker 11: start blowing in either direction it's blustery outside, when it's
- 1:38:22Speaker 11: blustery outside, bringing it back, Taylor, bringing it back.
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: I'm just here to help.
- 1:38:28Speaker 1: Fuck, I am just here to help.
- 1:38:29Speaker 3: You know.
- 1:38:30Speaker 11: But you're right, man, Don't be too rigid, don't be
- 1:38:35Speaker 11: too married to your ideas.
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: Don't purify your echo chamber. I have a whole joke
- 1:38:40Speaker 3: about this. I'm writing about the fact that I keep super.
- 1:38:43Speaker 11: Hardcore left wing friends around because they keep me honest.
- 1:38:47Speaker 11: I got friends that disagree with me in a lot
- 1:38:50Speaker 11: of ways, but they're kind of smarter than I am.
- 1:38:53Speaker 11: So what happens is they kind of hit me with
- 1:38:56Speaker 11: ideas I never thought about. So now I'm not getting
- 1:38:58Speaker 11: my ideas from one one echo chamber. Man, You've got
- 1:39:02Speaker 11: to you've got to be around people who disagree with
- 1:39:06Speaker 11: you and who have opinions that kind of rub you
- 1:39:09Speaker 11: the wrong way and make you be like and just
- 1:39:11Speaker 11: kind of drive you nuts. But man, I always make
- 1:39:15Speaker 11: sure I do that. I always make sure I read
- 1:39:17Speaker 11: Like you know, people had this big problem with critical
- 1:39:19Speaker 11: race theory.
- 1:39:20Speaker 3: I read all the critical racist theories.
- 1:39:21Speaker 11: I read Ibram Candy's How to be an Anti Racist,
- 1:39:24Speaker 11: I read tonk I've read everything ton of Coats has written,
- 1:39:29Speaker 11: all these these these sort of like new age radical
- 1:39:33Speaker 11: sort of idea of tear down all the institutions because
- 1:39:36Speaker 11: everything is racist and stuff like that. I wanted to
- 1:39:38Speaker 11: read them. I wanted to give them their day in
- 1:39:40Speaker 11: court so I could I could get from them what
- 1:39:43Speaker 11: I think is valuable and get from them what I
- 1:39:46Speaker 11: think needs to be rebutted.
- 1:39:48Speaker 3: You know. So I agree with you, man, expose yourself
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: to the other side, especially if it makes you feel uncomfortable,
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: you know. So, very very good point, man, very good point.
- 1:39:57Speaker 3: So I'm not talking about being rigid that way. I'm
- 1:40:02Speaker 3: talking about you. There is criteria. There is criteria for
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: for great art.
- 1:40:12Speaker 11: Look, you have to understand the difference between a good
- 1:40:15Speaker 11: idea and a bad idea, you do, because if you don't,
- 1:40:19Speaker 11: man bad ideas, when bad ideas take the day, people die.
- 1:40:24Speaker 11: And my proof for that is the historical palette. I'll
- 1:40:28Speaker 11: just point to it, Okay, I'll just point to it.
- 1:40:31Speaker 11: That's my problem with the far left because communism didn't
- 1:40:35Speaker 11: work out so well, because when you have to, when
- 1:40:38Speaker 11: you create equality, you have to enforce equality. You have
- 1:40:40Speaker 11: to engineer it.
- 1:40:42Speaker 3: We're not equal.
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: So why do you think I don't want to misten
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: to political thing.
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: No, it's not why political.
- 1:40:47Speaker 4: It's more philosophical if it If communism is so not
- 1:40:51Speaker 4: going to work, why are so many people being down
- 1:40:53Speaker 4: the door for it in this country?
- 1:40:57Speaker 11: Because I think a lot of times, if it's packaged
- 1:41:01Speaker 11: the right way in different in a different bow, and
- 1:41:04Speaker 11: you're young, it's always been something that feels so damn cozy.
- 1:41:10Speaker 11: It just if you're a good person and you want
- 1:41:13Speaker 11: everybody to be okay, and you're an empathetic person, it's
- 1:41:17Speaker 11: hard not to feel that way because we are communists.
- 1:41:19Speaker 11: I'm communist with my who is it? I think that
- 1:41:21Speaker 11: somebody said that, yeah.
- 1:41:23Speaker 3: Yeah, commist my family.
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: Yeah you're right, Well yeah he said it with rogen, right.
- 1:41:28Speaker 11: Yeah, communist with my family and what a socialist with
- 1:41:32Speaker 11: my with my town, A Democrat with you know, in
- 1:41:34Speaker 11: a Republican with the world. You know, I I That's
- 1:41:38Speaker 11: what I always say, Like, you know again, if I
- 1:41:40Speaker 11: was I'd be I'm the worst because if I was
- 1:41:42Speaker 11: president and you know, you wouldn't vote for me, because
- 1:41:44Speaker 11: my joke is I I'd be like, I don't know.
- 1:41:46Speaker 11: Sometimes maybe it depends.
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: Yeah, that's but but you do need to.
- 1:41:51Speaker 11: But at the same time, what I really admire about
- 1:41:54Speaker 11: Jordan Peterson is that guy has he has worked hard
- 1:41:58Speaker 11: to know where he stands.
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: And you define whether you know it or not.
- 1:42:03Speaker 11: Man, this is the problem, This is the rub is
- 1:42:07Speaker 11: you define yourself along the lines you're willing to fight
- 1:42:09Speaker 11: for you do. That's how you define yourself. That's what
- 1:42:14Speaker 11: a country is, that's what a person is. You you
- 1:42:18Speaker 11: have to you have to be able to define the
- 1:42:20Speaker 11: lines along which you will defend and not to be
- 1:42:23Speaker 11: too dramatic, but maybe even to die for. What are
- 1:42:27Speaker 11: you willing to die for? You know, what you're willing
- 1:42:29Speaker 11: to live for? Or what are you willing to die for?
- 1:42:31Speaker 11: That's a fucking dramatic question. But I don't think you
- 1:42:35Speaker 11: escape that out at the end of the day. And
- 1:42:36Speaker 11: if you do, oh, you'll you'll have a tough time
- 1:42:38Speaker 11: living that down if.
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: You're like somebody like a Jordan Peterson who's worked his
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: entire life to be all of us though, you know. Yeah,
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: but as polarizing as he is, now, how do you
- 1:42:47Speaker 2: think you stay flexible and not as rigid in your mind?
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: Because obviously he's like, he's like a focal point of
- 1:42:54Speaker 2: so many conversations now because of the things he says,
- 1:42:57Speaker 2: he stands on.
- 1:42:58Speaker 3: He's worked hard to get there, But.
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: How do you think he probably maintains that level of
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: staying a little bit curious?
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: Well, I talked to him about it. Boys, I've done
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: two podcasts with him.
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: Yeah, we can get him on the buck.
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: Where's my camera?
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: You want to get him on the bus. We can
- 1:43:12Speaker 1: get him on the buck.
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: I'm on the bus right now at him here.
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: No, we would love that right now, right now, he answers,
- 1:43:19Speaker 1: all right, so, hey, I'm on this.
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: He's busy, busy.
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: You got his number in there?
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I got him speed out. Well I just hit this,
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: hit this and he comes.
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: Up, Yeah, hey, Bud, it's speed I can't hear.
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: Me hear me. Yeah, no, I did.
- 1:43:38Speaker 11: I did a couple of podcasts with him, and I
- 1:43:39Speaker 11: said to him, I said, uh, I said, do you
- 1:43:42Speaker 11: feel like you're winning this war? And he looked at
- 1:43:44Speaker 11: me and goes, I don't want to win this war.
- 1:43:46Speaker 11: I don't want to win because I'll create in grades,
- 1:43:48Speaker 11: I'll create resentful people. I want to change their minds.
- 1:43:52Speaker 11: I want to win their hearts and minds. I want
- 1:43:53Speaker 11: I want, I want my argument. I want them to
- 1:43:56Speaker 11: at least listen long enough. That That's why dialogue is
- 1:43:59Speaker 11: so important. That's the point of freedom of speech. Right,
- 1:44:02Speaker 11: That's what John Stewart Mill said. Why is freedom of
- 1:44:05Speaker 11: speech so important? Why is it so dangerous when people
- 1:44:07Speaker 11: say words are violence or or like your your your
- 1:44:11Speaker 11: words are hurting me, and we should have speech laws.
- 1:44:13Speaker 11: That's the most dangerous shit of all time. Because if
- 1:44:17Speaker 11: you freedom of speech is so important. I got to
- 1:44:20Speaker 11: hear what you have to say. It might make me
- 1:44:22Speaker 11: feel uncomfortable, but what it'll do is it'll either get
- 1:44:25Speaker 11: me to change my mind, reinforce what I believe, because
- 1:44:29Speaker 11: you're hitting me with an argument I can rebut right,
- 1:44:32Speaker 11: or I'll take a little of what you have. You know,
- 1:44:35Speaker 11: it's like idea sex. Let's have some idea sex. I
- 1:44:39Speaker 11: don't have all the answers. You don't have all the answers.
- 1:44:40Speaker 11: Put them together, see what happens. It could be pregnant
- 1:44:43Speaker 11: with a new idea.
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: I always bring it back to that shorter incubation period.
- 1:44:47Speaker 2: It's important too, that you're able to put yourself in
- 1:44:49Speaker 2: the other shoes versus like going into like a debate
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: style or dialogue versus like I can't wait for my
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: next or and to talk and shut them up.
- 1:44:56Speaker 3: So important.
- 1:44:58Speaker 11: But you guys, are you guys are on the ball.
- 1:45:00Speaker 11: This stuff is lost on you. I feel like you
- 1:45:02Speaker 11: guys are right where you should be.
- 1:45:05Speaker 3: What did I say?
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: Every day with yourself?
- 1:45:09Speaker 3: Though? Yeah, isn't it weird? You have to be reminded
- 1:45:11Speaker 3: about it?
- 1:45:11Speaker 4: And I think you did an incredible job of you
- 1:45:14Speaker 4: say like, discipline is not the way ball ball, you
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: don't need to do all these hard things. But then
- 1:45:18Speaker 4: you say, oh, you're you don't want to be easy
- 1:45:20Speaker 4: and you don't want everything to be cozy bath and
- 1:45:22Speaker 4: then but your whole goal is to find peace and
- 1:45:25Speaker 4: easiness in life.
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: It's an interesting contrast.
- 1:45:28Speaker 11: It is a contrast, but that's kind of the rub, right,
- 1:45:30Speaker 11: It's like we are walking contradictions and and yeah, like
- 1:45:35Speaker 11: you don't.
- 1:45:37Speaker 1: You remember that commercial.
- 1:45:39Speaker 4: Commercial the person be on the bus and they get
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: the starburst is like it's a solid but it's also juicy.
- 1:45:45Speaker 3: Hey, write it down, write it down, solid but it's juicy.
- 1:45:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna unpack that later.
- 1:45:50Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so much. You know what I'm getting for
- 1:45:53Speaker 3: my next tattoo, the Starbirds.
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: I get home and I'm gonna undwind about you guys.
- 1:45:58Speaker 3: Yeah, you are right. I will sucking on Starbucks hard, well,
- 1:46:02Speaker 3: sucking it hard.
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: Get after that. What's your favorite color?
- 1:46:07Speaker 3: I think purple or the lavender?
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: Oh of starbars or just in like stars general, oh, starbursts,
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: sorry star wars.
- 1:46:16Speaker 3: I don't need sugar. I don't need sugar.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: You don't need sugar.
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: You don't indulge every now and then on a nice
- 1:46:23Speaker 2: little starbars, a pink Starbars like that?
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: Wasn't that funny?
- 1:46:31Speaker 3: Jack wasn't the best on the lessons?
- 1:46:34Speaker 11: You didn't have any dehydrated grass fed liver fucking candy.
- 1:46:42Speaker 11: Who brought the fucking lack of discipline? Who brought the
- 1:46:44Speaker 11: tall children.
- 1:46:45Speaker 3: To the fucking bus Starbucks.
- 1:46:49Speaker 2: Tell them about that billboard we saw in Vegas, tailor.
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: That billboard that Georgia Boot built up, but built of
- 1:46:54Speaker 4: a billboard, Dude, it's the most it's the world's most

- 1:47:01Speaker 4: toughest job. The core of Georgia Boots messaging relies on delivery.

- 1:47:48Speaker 1: Back to the episode, Man, anyway, what were you asking
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: me to get off the bus? That was too much?
- 1:47:59Speaker 3: Nah?
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know, you were saying on Barkley. You
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: were saying something before the starburs.
- 1:48:05Speaker 3: Your thighs. Your thighs are but they're modest yeah right, yeah,
- 1:48:11Speaker 3: like you have their thighs. Yeah. But the fact but
- 1:48:16Speaker 3: when I think of football pro football players, you know,
- 1:48:18Speaker 3: you think sometimes right, yeah, and they're good legs for sure.
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: They're not.
- 1:48:25Speaker 1: Sitting here kind of be a little a little scary.
- 1:48:27Speaker 11: I really appreciate that fact that I look at you
- 1:48:30Speaker 11: and I go, you're you're a linebacker.
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: Yeah, it's relatable.
- 1:48:35Speaker 11: You watch it, You're like, man, this is your related
- 1:48:38Speaker 11: Well you think you can't and then yeah, and then
- 1:48:40Speaker 11: you toussle up with them and.
- 1:48:41Speaker 3: You go, oh what, No, I'm talking about.
- 1:48:43Speaker 1: People look at your legs and they watch what you
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: do and they say, oh, I can do that. I
- 1:48:47Speaker 1: think you and Brian were the same jeans.
- 1:48:49Speaker 3: We probably do. Yeah, that's why I have the eyes.
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: Off. The legs and the eyes they are tiny.
- 1:48:55Speaker 3: What's what's I know, not tiny, but they're thin. They're
- 1:48:59Speaker 3: thin comparative.
- 1:49:00Speaker 4: My legs resemble every single animal you see on National
- 1:49:03Speaker 4: Geographic being chased by the line a little more petite,
- 1:49:07Speaker 4: quick twitches but eventually get caught.
- 1:49:10Speaker 3: What what what is the area of everybody. The most
- 1:49:13Speaker 3: insecure about nips.
- 1:49:17Speaker 4: When I was a kid, for sure, I used to
- 1:49:19Speaker 4: be my calves. No, they're ever since it was a kid.
- 1:49:22Speaker 4: They puff, they puff out.
- 1:49:24Speaker 3: Are those number one?
- 1:49:24Speaker 1: Are your nipples number one? Like I know they're out there,
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: No one.
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:49:28Speaker 4: I don't know if I have like a glaring insecurity.
- 1:49:31Speaker 4: I think it's when I especially when I was in
- 1:49:33Speaker 4: the middle of football. Yeah, it would be just the
- 1:49:36Speaker 4: entire body in general. You were really Will took a
- 1:49:39Speaker 4: photo of me when we were in Tennessee one time.
- 1:49:40Speaker 4: I got really upset about it, really because I was
- 1:49:42Speaker 4: like putting.
- 1:49:42Speaker 2: His shirt on.
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: Why because?
- 1:49:44Speaker 8: Why?
- 1:49:44Speaker 4: Because you feel because when you're playing a sport, there's
- 1:49:49Speaker 4: a level of identity. It's yeah, like I identify as
- 1:49:53Speaker 4: a lean, athletic tackle.
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: And when the.
- 1:49:55Speaker 4: Body, when I get a little turnt and maybe get yeah,
- 1:50:00Speaker 4: and the photos taken, I think to myself, people now
- 1:50:02Speaker 4: think I'm not working hard.
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: People now think this about me.
- 1:50:04Speaker 4: Interesting, and so I get consumed by that. Now, losing
- 1:50:09Speaker 4: forty pounds and my knee is a certain way. I
- 1:50:12Speaker 4: don't know if I can play ball again. I become
- 1:50:15Speaker 4: much more comfortable with myself second one, and since I
- 1:50:19Speaker 4: had one in twenty twenty and then twenty twenty two,
- 1:50:21Speaker 4: you're going through some weird stuff right now. Yeah, mentally,
- 1:50:24Speaker 4: not near as difficult as the first time. The first
- 1:50:26Speaker 4: time we were on Sewie watch for a little bit,
- 1:50:29Speaker 4: not literally. Yeah, it's got to be very hard and weird.
- 1:50:33Speaker 4: Like if you if I'm in a football game, I'm
- 1:50:35Speaker 4: trying to be sucking my stomach in the entire time.
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: It's so fuck it was.
- 1:50:41Speaker 4: It was, yeah, and it was very It was just
- 1:50:43Speaker 4: like consuming. Yeah, body, I think all of us have
- 1:50:48Speaker 4: extremely consumed. What's your biggest insecurity on your body? Yes,
- 1:50:52Speaker 4: you get a nice chest. This has been This is
- 1:50:57Speaker 4: the worst podcast, dude. It's just outrageous.
- 1:51:01Speaker 3: How the fuck did you just jump in like that?
- 1:51:04Speaker 3: That's not right, dude.
- 1:51:05Speaker 4: That's three or four times during this podcast play you
- 1:51:08Speaker 4: can play the video back.
- 1:51:08Speaker 6: You do.
- 1:51:10Speaker 4: Feel your chest, feel my legs. You feel your legs
- 1:51:13Speaker 4: a lot. My new jeans complimented your legs quite a bit.
- 1:51:16Speaker 4: And you haven't gone to the torso so I just
- 1:51:18Speaker 4: that was from the hip.
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: That was from the hip.
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: I think you fell in that shirt nicely.
- 1:51:21Speaker 3: I think you I like that you said that my chest.
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: You talk about arms, I don't want to if I'm
- 1:51:26Speaker 3: a skinny guy.
- 1:51:27Speaker 4: Like you're all trying a nice arms, you're all lower body. Yeah,
- 1:51:31Speaker 4: I'm you're sturdy, like if there was a torn end
- 1:51:33Speaker 4: of the day we got a hold on.
- 1:51:34Speaker 3: I'm built like a frog. No, I know you're the
- 1:51:37Speaker 3: opposite of what I got. Fucking my dogs have my legs.
- 1:51:41Speaker 1: You can spring at any moment spring.
- 1:51:43Speaker 3: Well, I got yeah, the small knees, but my my
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: thighs in relation.
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: To my do have the where the knee is smaller
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: and then a girth.
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: And then it mushrooms out.
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: What's the farthest you went to get your chest bigger,
- 1:51:55Speaker 2: because I'm sure chest is so easy to get lost
- 1:51:57Speaker 2: in the sauce mag I'm going to do it, never
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: going to do a hundred to day.
- 1:51:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I think. I think I never really had this
- 1:52:03Speaker 3: the so so that's really funny.
- 1:52:06Speaker 11: I guess if I really decided I'm going to put
- 1:52:08Speaker 11: on muscle and I'm gonna eat a certain way and
- 1:52:11Speaker 11: I'm gonna actually work at.
- 1:52:13Speaker 3: It, that I can't do. I can't do it. I
- 1:52:17Speaker 3: can't I can't go like I can't be that vain.
- 1:52:21Speaker 11: I can't sustain that because ultimately I'm like, this is
- 1:52:24Speaker 11: this is fucking lame.
- 1:52:27Speaker 3: Like what I want to do.
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: I'd rather be like three boys.
- 1:52:30Speaker 3: No, no, no, But that's why I know. I I
- 1:52:32Speaker 3: just feel like I'm being too vain.
- 1:52:33Speaker 11: So I'll do I'll find myself just doing like a
- 1:52:36Speaker 11: CrossFit workout because somehow I feel like it makes me
- 1:52:39Speaker 11: more athletic or more functionally fit, which.
- 1:52:42Speaker 3: Is probably all bullshit.
- 1:52:43Speaker 11: But the minute I'm doing flies and I'm trying to
- 1:52:46Speaker 11: isolate my chest, I'm like a fuck man, I'm doing
- 1:52:48Speaker 11: this for the wrong reasons and it doesn't matter anyway,
- 1:52:52Speaker 11: you know what I mean.
- 1:52:53Speaker 3: Like with shob you know, I was we were sitting there.
- 1:52:55Speaker 11: I go, should I get the way protein or should
- 1:52:57Speaker 11: it be way protein isolated?
- 1:52:59Speaker 3: He goes, doesn't really matter? Does it doesn't matter?
- 1:53:01Speaker 4: Does it?
- 1:53:02Speaker 1: It's nothing that's going to change.
- 1:53:04Speaker 11: And I was like, fuck, you're right, Like I walk
- 1:53:07Speaker 11: and I go I gained four pounds. He goes, dang, okay, right,
- 1:53:11Speaker 11: you know, like we.
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: Might have found your u your hate for discipline. Yeah,
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: I might have figured it out.
- 1:53:16Speaker 4: I work out you were you refuse to invest in
- 1:53:20Speaker 4: the body and you don't like to do supplements.
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: You don't do anything. Now I'm doing.
- 1:53:23Speaker 11: I'm doing supplements. I'm taking vitamin D okay, and I'm
- 1:53:26Speaker 11: taking fish oil.
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: Nice nice brother, Yeah, but I mean, yeah, I I
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: I would like to to supplement the D.
- 1:53:35Speaker 3: No, but I do want to go.
- 1:53:36Speaker 6: I do.
- 1:53:36Speaker 3: I just hit my testosterone and and I'm good.
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: If you like need you need like vitamin K to
- 1:53:40Speaker 2: help break down and help the vitamin D absorbing.
- 1:53:43Speaker 3: And I'm doing all I think I'm doing. I'm taking
- 1:53:45Speaker 3: this really good multi vitamin too.
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: Yeah, you got your this osterone.
- 1:53:49Speaker 3: Yeah, my testosroe is good? What is seven hundred?
- 1:53:53Speaker 2: Nice?
- 1:53:53Speaker 11: Yeah, but they they back so they give you your
- 1:53:56Speaker 11: free testosterone and then they they work backwards.
- 1:53:59Speaker 3: So I didn't get an actual reading. What does that mean.
- 1:54:02Speaker 1: I've never tested to.
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: I think my testosterone is very good for my you know,
- 1:54:05Speaker 2: the primes like in the molest of my test and
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: it was like years ago, was in the fours really
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: but that but.
- 1:54:10Speaker 3: See, you have to be careful because you might.
- 1:54:12Speaker 11: First of all, when you train as much as you do,
- 1:54:14Speaker 11: you work out and you're not sleeping, and there's all
- 1:54:16Speaker 11: that stuff. It varies, so a lot of times they
- 1:54:19Speaker 11: say if you haven't if your sink levels are low,
- 1:54:21Speaker 11: if you haven't slept, your testosterone can take a dive.
- 1:54:26Speaker 3: In that moment, I think I'm not a guy.
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: I was going directly toward like my thyroid too, because
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: he's like, don't even worry about the you know, don't
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: worry about the testosterone number.
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: We got to look at other things like the factors of.
- 1:54:36Speaker 11: Like three testosterone and yeah, I don't know anything, but
- 1:54:39Speaker 11: I just know that like athletes, a lot of times
- 1:54:41Speaker 11: are surprised that their testosterone is low. But I think
- 1:54:45Speaker 11: sometimes that can be because you're you know, the people
- 1:54:48Speaker 11: like Andrew Hubertman and those guys know what they're talking about.
- 1:54:51Speaker 11: I don't, but I think that they It does fluctuate.
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: You have to be careful. So I think the way
- 1:54:56Speaker 3: to do it is to make sure your sink levels
- 1:54:58Speaker 3: everything is where it should be, and and you're sleeping,
- 1:55:01Speaker 3: you know you're I think it varies, so that might
- 1:55:05Speaker 3: be a false reathon.
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about doing TRT or anything like that.
- 1:55:07Speaker 11: I can't wait, But I'm waiting till the day I
- 1:55:11Speaker 11: don't have energy, or the day that I can't keep
- 1:55:15Speaker 11: up with my young wife, m But right now, I.
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: Love how you gras in the back too. Gray Smoke
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: is Gray.
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: Smokes is just fine.
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: Gray Smoke's alive and well.
- 1:55:26Speaker 3: Brother, Gray Smoke is live and well.
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: Just Grace, just Gray Smoke.
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: Okay, Grace Smokes got it. Gray Smokes got a one
- 1:55:31Speaker 3: year old? Okay, congratulations. Yeah, mom wants another one. So far.
- 1:55:37Speaker 3: Don't seem to be having a problem.
- 1:55:38Speaker 1: Throw on the blue pill and get the word.
- 1:55:40Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I don't. I've never used it nice, I've
- 1:55:43Speaker 3: never I'll tell you when I do, but I've never
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: had to. I've never had to take any of that.
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: So that's a good sign.
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: That's a great sign. Yea, absolutely, that's.
- 1:55:51Speaker 3: That's uh well, you know, but it's going to go eventually.
- 1:55:57Speaker 1: Fifty six years old.
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you're moving well, you move well, yeah, well we'll
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: stay on your toes, right, guess moving around.
- 1:56:04Speaker 3: Do you guys do any training any fighting?
- 1:56:07Speaker 6: No?
- 1:56:07Speaker 2: Man, but I want to I want to start kind
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: of getting into that, like just like a couple of
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: times a week.
- 1:56:12Speaker 1: Yeah, just to throw hands a little bit. You want
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: to spar No, not smart like train like go hands
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: with the boys.
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I will.
- 1:56:18Speaker 2: I'm just saying like I would love to get in,
- 1:56:20Speaker 2: like mixing the cardio, like start to like learn because
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: people talk about the not that I and maybe maybe
- 1:56:26Speaker 2: that'll be like something that you know, I hear them
- 1:56:28Speaker 2: in the other room. But when people talk about the
- 1:56:30Speaker 2: black belt and kind of like what's behind and everything else,
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: it kind of.
- 1:56:32Speaker 1: Like inspires you to like maybe maybe I should get
- 1:56:35Speaker 1: in and just see what it's like.
- 1:56:36Speaker 11: I like you, I mean with your athleticism, I mean
- 1:56:39Speaker 11: jiu jitsu would go along. We'd pick it up real quick.
- 1:56:42Speaker 2: We wrestled a little bit when we were younger.
- 1:56:44Speaker 3: Now, yeah you did, Okay, so you got you understand
- 1:56:47Speaker 3: a little bit. Yeah, I guess Matt sense.
- 1:56:49Speaker 4: Yeah, Will and I have wrestled on three separate occasions,
- 1:56:51Speaker 4: and I always end.
- 1:56:52Speaker 3: Up on my back. Yeah, well he's if he wrestled
- 1:56:55Speaker 3: and you never have brother, Yeah.
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: He takes advantage of me.
- 1:56:57Speaker 2: It's all been a cauliflower here, that's always.
- 1:56:59Speaker 1: Then you want to coin some wrestling background high school? Yeah,
- 1:57:03Speaker 1: up through high school?
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: All right, My brother was a stud scholarship Nebraska Senior
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: National champion in high school.
- 1:57:10Speaker 3: Yes, you got some bad agree going on.
- 1:57:12Speaker 2: Yeah, we were talking about the other day with our
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: dads and how I would be crying in the backseat
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: trying to make weight, and all I could was like
- 1:57:17Speaker 2: a protein shake because you're like cutting weight. The little
- 1:57:21Speaker 2: bro he's like in the shower, he's like in our bathroom.
- 1:57:22Speaker 2: They're like stuff in towels at the bottom of the
- 1:57:25Speaker 2: So Eric can't get out.
- 1:57:26Speaker 3: You'rest college or in that way.
- 1:57:28Speaker 2: He wrestled in college. Yes, wow, yeah, d one you Nebraska.
- 1:57:32Speaker 3: Oh he's in Nebraska.
- 1:57:34Speaker 11: Oh you got you got an athletic family, your brother's
- 1:57:37Speaker 11: and that's that's a crazy wrest serious program.
- 1:57:40Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh yeah. So you don't want to get under
- 1:57:42Speaker 3: hooks on that kid. He'll take you right down.
- 1:57:43Speaker 1: No, yeah, he's nice.
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: He's nice with the ankle picks, big boy right out
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: of the gate.
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: No, he was a one fifty seven.
- 1:57:49Speaker 3: What are you walking at right now?
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: Eight?
- 1:57:53Speaker 3: Sometimes two thirty three? Deceptive, Hey, guys, deceptive. Yeahmpton looks
- 1:57:59Speaker 3: like a regular kid till you grab him. Okay, till
- 1:58:03Speaker 3: you grab them when he's up close and personal and
- 1:58:06Speaker 3: you can feel, you can feel that fucking hairline digging
- 1:58:10Speaker 3: into your chin. We got some problems.
- 1:58:15Speaker 1: Yeah, you do.
- 1:58:15Speaker 3: No wrestling though, Huh, you don't have to.
- 1:58:17Speaker 1: I don't know nothing about it. Dabbling that it would
- 1:58:21Speaker 1: be a mixed martial artist night, Yeah, but I don't.
- 1:58:23Speaker 1: I've never I didn't even know you wanted to do that.
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: It's amazing, Like.
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: It's like like just for like training, like mix it
- 1:58:28Speaker 2: in versus us just doing like weight training all the time.
- 1:58:31Speaker 11: You guys like you can, I mean just learning how
- 1:58:34Speaker 11: to box and stuff, throwing hands. I was I was
- 1:58:36Speaker 11: used to boxing them, and and my trainer would throw
- 1:58:39Speaker 11: me in with everybody. Wayne mccullor goes, goes far with them.
- 1:58:43Speaker 3: We're like fucking you know.
- 1:58:44Speaker 11: And then there was a kid who played. He was
- 1:58:46Speaker 11: a catcher in the baseball uh and the Major League Baseball.
- 1:58:52Speaker 1: MELB, l MLB. All the words, yeah, all the words.
- 1:58:56Speaker 3: I was like, I'm not even American, and you guys
- 1:58:58Speaker 3: it's been a big fucking his rules.
- 1:59:01Speaker 11: But he, uh, he was a catcher and he played
- 1:59:03Speaker 11: for years, and he was two thirty five and uh
- 1:59:06Speaker 11: just all asked and legs and I'm watching he didn't
- 1:59:09Speaker 11: know how to box that much, but he was learning
- 1:59:11Speaker 11: how to throw hands.
- 1:59:12Speaker 3: And he was hitting mits.
- 1:59:13Speaker 11: He was going bo hop bop hoop and it was
- 1:59:15Speaker 11: just all coming and you could just boom boom. And
- 1:59:18Speaker 11: my trainer goes, he wants to spark. You want to
- 1:59:20Speaker 11: once you get in there and work with him, and
- 1:59:22Speaker 11: I go, no.
- 1:59:26Speaker 3: Fucking no, because that's a way better athlete and he's
- 1:59:30Speaker 3: much bigger, and look at how hard he's hitting. If
- 1:59:33Speaker 3: I make one mistake and going bye bye, I'm going
- 1:59:37Speaker 3: to sleep. I would never fuck around with anybody who's
- 1:59:39Speaker 3: a pro athlete like that. I would never get in
- 1:59:42Speaker 3: like you were, like I've been boxing for like, I
- 1:59:43Speaker 3: would never I'd be like never doing that.
- 1:59:46Speaker 11: You're too strong, you hit too hard, you're too you've
- 1:59:49Speaker 11: done you can communicate with your body too well?
- 1:59:52Speaker 3: Does that? We have very few guys in the UFC
- 1:59:53Speaker 3: who actually played footbeah, but if you train, you could
- 1:59:57Speaker 3: easily take us out. Not me, but a guy. Yeah, yeah,
- 2:00:01Speaker 3: I'll keep you if I get behind him.
- 2:00:03Speaker 1: Here we go there like Michael Chandler. You think Michael Chandler.
- 2:00:06Speaker 3: You want no part of Michael Yes, yes, yeah, I
- 2:00:08Speaker 3: mean we're talking about Michael Chandler. You want no part
- 2:00:10Speaker 3: of Michael Yeah, no, no part be a part no, yeah, disaster.
- 2:00:14Speaker 3: And by the way, he'll if he if he grabs you,
- 2:00:16Speaker 3: you're in. You're in all the trouble, trouble. And if
- 2:00:18Speaker 3: you try to bang with him, you're in all the trouble.
- 2:00:21Speaker 3: And he's gonna kick that fucking that. You see that.
- 2:00:24Speaker 3: You see that antelope half yours? Yeah, you see the
- 2:00:27Speaker 3: I want.
- 2:00:28Speaker 11: You to get the You see this area where it's
- 2:00:29Speaker 11: all sweet, it's all nice, and I mean that's you
- 2:00:32Speaker 11: use that to push off. You see those all those
- 2:00:34Speaker 11: muscles and all that stuff nice there. He's gonna drive
- 2:00:37Speaker 11: his fucking shin at one hundred miles an hour into
- 2:00:41Speaker 11: that about seventeen times, and you're gonna be trying to
- 2:00:43Speaker 11: grab and he's gonna be going boom, and then he's
- 2:00:46Speaker 11: gonna go get and just catch you in the floating
- 2:00:48Speaker 11: rib and then and then you're gonna grab and you're
- 2:00:50Speaker 11: gonna go.
- 2:00:50Speaker 3: Hey, why does he feel like?
- 2:00:51Speaker 7: What is this?
- 2:00:52Speaker 3: Oh it's a piece of marble with feet.
- 2:00:55Speaker 11: And why yeah? Why is he behind me? And then
- 2:00:58Speaker 11: your face is gonna go purple and you're just gonna
- 2:01:00Speaker 11: see Esco. You know it's you don't want to.
- 2:01:03Speaker 4: And then you know he's he's gonna fight Conor McGregor. Right, Oh,
- 2:01:06Speaker 4: I know what do you think is going to happen there?
- 2:01:10Speaker 3: I think that I think Michael has to wrestle with him.
- 2:01:14Speaker 11: I think the mistake that if I mean, if I
- 2:01:16Speaker 11: may be so bold, I think I don't want to
- 2:01:20Speaker 11: TV show.
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: You don't want to see.
- 2:01:21Speaker 11: Michael try to stand at mid distance and throw hands
- 2:01:26Speaker 11: with Connor McGregor. I think that Connor's as good as
- 2:01:30Speaker 11: anybody it's ever stepped in the octagon at hands, his
- 2:01:34Speaker 11: understanding how to stand on the edge of the pocket
- 2:01:37Speaker 11: and counter you. He's got such a high fight. I
- 2:01:41Speaker 11: q he's just as good. What what what he lost
- 2:01:43Speaker 11: to with Dustin Poyer, who is just as good as well?
- 2:01:46Speaker 11: Is those those leg kicks. But you don't want to
- 2:01:50Speaker 11: be standing there banging with him. And and Michael is
- 2:01:52Speaker 11: so explosive and powerful. But I think that his athleticism
- 2:01:57Speaker 11: as a wrestler and his explosiveness has afforded him the
- 2:02:01Speaker 11: ability because he's so incredibly athletic to end fights very quickly.
- 2:02:07Speaker 11: But sometimes when you're that athletic and that explosive, you
- 2:02:11Speaker 11: are maybe not as fundamentally sound as someone like a
- 2:02:14Speaker 11: Connor McGregor. Because you're gonna make you're gonna make some mistake.
- 2:02:18Speaker 11: Your hand might be here as opposed to hear you're
- 2:02:20Speaker 11: gonna make the the the fine details have not been
- 2:02:26Speaker 11: drilled into you the way they were into Dustin Poyer
- 2:02:29Speaker 11: because they didn't have to be. But when you get
- 2:02:31Speaker 11: to that higher level like Dustin Poyer and you are
- 2:02:35Speaker 11: throwing with your hand here or whatever it might be,
- 2:02:38Speaker 11: because you're so powerful, those guys can capitalize on that.
- 2:02:41Speaker 1: So how do you think it's gonna go. Who do
- 2:02:44Speaker 1: you think he's gonna win that fight?
- 2:02:45Speaker 3: I don't know what Connor's gonna show up, but it's
- 2:02:50Speaker 3: hard for me. I don't know.
- 2:02:55Speaker 11: That's a really hard one, if I really, if I
- 2:02:57Speaker 11: had to put my money on it. Again, if my
- 2:03:00Speaker 11: Michael tries to stand and bang with Connor, it's not
- 2:03:02Speaker 11: a good idea. But if Michael's kicking, if he's doing
- 2:03:05Speaker 11: low kicks and he's fucking grabbing the legs and he's
- 2:03:08Speaker 11: wrestling with him and putting him on his back, that's
- 2:03:10Speaker 11: the way to beat him, you know. And then once
- 2:03:13Speaker 11: he gets him tired, my game plan for him would
- 2:03:17Speaker 11: be would be, uh, kick him in the legs and
- 2:03:21Speaker 11: try to wrestle him and get him on his back
- 2:03:23Speaker 11: and wear him down and then in round four you
- 2:03:27Speaker 11: can start tee off. But I think to stand there
- 2:03:30Speaker 11: like he did with Dustin Poier, you know, in the
- 2:03:33Speaker 11: pocket like that, and try to try to fist the
- 2:03:35Speaker 11: cuff with him is going to be That's very dicey
- 2:03:38Speaker 11: with Connor, he's.
- 2:03:39Speaker 2: Too good right getting caught up in the spectacle, you know,
- 2:03:42Speaker 2: with Gay chie Poier, all of them. I'm sorry, Gachie,
- 2:03:45Speaker 2: you can talk about Chandler Gay chie Poe like getting
- 2:03:47Speaker 2: caught up in the spectacle of well, like just straight backyard.
- 2:03:51Speaker 1: He'll billy fight.
- 2:03:52Speaker 11: That's what happens though, because you're he's such an athlete
- 2:03:54Speaker 11: and he's such a competitor that sometimes there are guys.
- 2:03:57Speaker 1: Who go, the motherfucker put his hands down. I was like, yeah,
- 2:03:59Speaker 1: keep hitting me.
- 2:04:00Speaker 3: There are guys. Yeah, so there are guys.
- 2:04:01Speaker 11: Rocky are guys who hear people like me say stuff
- 2:04:04Speaker 11: like I'm saying, and they go, oh, really, okay, let
- 2:04:06Speaker 11: me show you how I let me show you. I'm
- 2:04:08Speaker 11: gonna bang with that dude. And I understand that, but
- 2:04:11Speaker 11: I'm just saying if I were his coach, I would
- 2:04:13Speaker 11: be very I would be very scared of Connor's hands
- 2:04:16Speaker 11: at mid distance boxing.
- 2:04:18Speaker 3: Connor's have very odd idea.
- 2:04:20Speaker 4: And Mike gets his rocks off by making it an
- 2:04:23Speaker 4: electric fight. Yeah, it's not an electric fight if you're
- 2:04:26Speaker 4: on the ground. There's a reason you get the booing
- 2:04:27Speaker 4: from the crowd. People are like, what are they doing?
- 2:04:29Speaker 4: And then only the analysts that are sitting there that
- 2:04:32Speaker 4: know the game the best are like, this is a
- 2:04:35Speaker 4: great fight.
- 2:04:35Speaker 3: There's a reason the technique they're using.
- 2:04:37Speaker 11: There's a reason he's Michael Chandler. That's what makes him
- 2:04:39Speaker 11: so amazing. But you saw what happened with Dustin Pourier.
- 2:04:43Speaker 11: The same thing could happen to him.
- 2:04:44Speaker 2: If he almost had.
- 2:04:45Speaker 1: Dust in the first round, he could have won that
- 2:04:47Speaker 1: fight easily.
- 2:04:48Speaker 11: And that's how he has always won those fights, right,
- 2:04:51Speaker 11: And yes, the exact opposite, until you get to that level.
- 2:04:56Speaker 11: Until you get to that at that elite level, you
- 2:04:59Speaker 11: cannot lie on almost getting somebody, because yes, he's got
- 2:05:02Speaker 11: the power to put anybody to sleep. But those high
- 2:05:06Speaker 11: level guys they gain plan for that. They know where
- 2:05:09Speaker 11: to it's they know where to put their feet. You
- 2:05:12Speaker 11: understand the Dustin knows where to put his feet, so
- 2:05:15Speaker 11: he's not in a position where you are he's not
- 2:05:18Speaker 11: in your pipe here. He's putting his feet places, his
- 2:05:21Speaker 11: hands are just a certain way, so that that stuff,
- 2:05:24Speaker 11: he'll take that away from you.
- 2:05:25Speaker 3: You'll get that.
- 2:05:27Speaker 11: You'll get those shots twice in the first round as
- 2:05:30Speaker 11: he's feeling you out, maybe three times. But then what
- 2:05:34Speaker 11: makes Dustin so amazing, what makes Connor so amazing, is
- 2:05:37Speaker 11: they download what you're doing. They download your patterns quickly,
- 2:05:41Speaker 11: and they download your tendencies, and they download when you're gonna,
- 2:05:44Speaker 11: when you're about to throw that, and then they start
- 2:05:46Speaker 11: putting you in uncomfortable positions. The way they're standing. You
- 2:05:50Speaker 11: got to now adjust and they unload on you. That's
- 2:05:52Speaker 11: that's boxing. It's like all it's where they place place
- 2:05:55Speaker 11: their feet. It's not your head and movement. It's where
- 2:05:57Speaker 11: they're placing your feet and how they're moving their feet
- 2:05:59Speaker 11: to get you to adjust. They're getting you to play
- 2:06:01Speaker 11: their game. And those guys can get you into their sandbox.
- 2:06:03Speaker 11: They're not in your sandbox. They might feel you out
- 2:06:06Speaker 11: in the beginning, but they're getting you in your sandbox.
- 2:06:08Speaker 11: That's what's so beautiful about fighting and boxing, especially the
- 2:06:11Speaker 11: great strikers like that. They're just they will get you to.
- 2:06:14Speaker 3: Do shit that you don't.
- 2:06:15Speaker 11: They have patterns, and they have so many patterns, and
- 2:06:19Speaker 11: so that's why when you that's why I'm so fucking
- 2:06:22Speaker 11: pumped about this Ghana Jones fight because you're Cyril. Ghan
- 2:06:28Speaker 11: is a high level striker. He does shit that you
- 2:06:31Speaker 11: can't see. It's so it's so fucking subtle. It's like
- 2:06:34Speaker 11: Peter Yon. It's like little details like where they play,
- 2:06:38Speaker 11: where he places his back foot, like when he fought.
- 2:06:40Speaker 11: If you ever watched Peter on the first time he
- 2:06:42Speaker 11: fought Al Jamner, sterling was fucking amazing because I kept
- 2:06:45Speaker 11: I couldn't figure out what he was doing, but he
- 2:06:46Speaker 11: kept split in hands. So Aljamen is here and he
- 2:06:49Speaker 11: kept like you would see him, he would he would
- 2:06:51Speaker 11: step tiny bit to his left, he'd step back, boom,
- 2:06:54Speaker 11: throw he jab, so he'd be like this, So what
- 2:06:58Speaker 11: he was doing is taking this body off center line
- 2:07:01Speaker 11: and now his hands here because because aljama is here,
- 2:07:04Speaker 11: and I was like, oh, he's catching it. And then
- 2:07:06Speaker 11: you'd see him all of a sudden, you'd see aljamer
- 2:07:08Speaker 11: move and he'd throw right and catch him and I
- 2:07:10Speaker 11: was like, how the fuck is he doing that? Well,
- 2:07:12Speaker 11: what he was doing was he'd he would program your brain.
- 2:07:15Speaker 11: It's step like back step back, jab step back, jad
- 2:07:19Speaker 11: right step back, chat three times. Now you go, oh fuck,
- 2:07:22Speaker 11: I see what he's doing. So now you next time
- 2:07:25Speaker 11: he does that, I'm going to adjust. So if I
- 2:07:26Speaker 11: see that little back foot move, I'm gonna move. So
- 2:07:29Speaker 11: he's still here and he's not gonna throw that left
- 2:07:31Speaker 11: so he can catch my hands. So then so pion
- 2:07:33Speaker 11: would just go, he'd fake. Now he instead of stepping,
- 2:07:35Speaker 11: he would just fake a little bit and you'd go.
- 2:07:37Speaker 11: And then he'd throw it right and you catch it
- 2:07:39Speaker 11: right that that minuscule ship your your corner can't even see.
- 2:07:45Speaker 1: And how did you develop this type?
- 2:07:47Speaker 3: This type of he loves it, he loves fighting, and
- 2:07:51Speaker 3: I do it, you know I was.
- 2:07:52Speaker 11: I would get in there with Wayne McCulloch was a
- 2:07:54Speaker 11: world champion, silver medal in the Olympics. He's he is
- 2:07:56Speaker 11: a Hall of Fame boxer and and I used to
- 2:07:59Speaker 11: sit there and train with him and pick his brain
- 2:08:02Speaker 11: and then I would spar and I would, you know,
- 2:08:04Speaker 11: I would. And then my other friend Taraka Seem who
- 2:08:06Speaker 11: is uh Luke Rockholdt and and uh uh uh Jake
- 2:08:10Speaker 11: Shield's coach like I would.
- 2:08:12Speaker 3: These guys would.
- 2:08:13Speaker 11: Waste their time on me. But I loved it so much.
- 2:08:16Speaker 11: I loved it so much that they were willing to
- 2:08:18Speaker 11: teach me. They have no business teaching an idiot, like
- 2:08:20Speaker 11: I'm a fucking civilian, But I I'm such a student
- 2:08:22Speaker 11: of the game. I love I love the game. I
- 2:08:25Speaker 11: love boxing, and I love that that minutia, and then
- 2:08:27Speaker 11: I love being able to see. I like being able
- 2:08:29Speaker 11: to see the things that other people aren't necessarily seeing.
- 2:08:32Speaker 11: And Cyril gone, dude, be ready for that.
- 2:08:36Speaker 1: So who do you think is gonna win that fight?
- 2:08:38Speaker 1: Because John Jones is I am a casual watcher.
- 2:08:41Speaker 4: I'm not a person that like breaks it down like
- 2:08:42Speaker 4: you just did an incredible job of giving me some
- 2:08:44Speaker 4: insight to the game.
- 2:08:45Speaker 1: When I watch, like, I just know that John Jones is.
- 2:08:49Speaker 4: You're hoping he comes back heavyweight Conor McGregor, like he
- 2:08:51Speaker 4: truly is, like they argue, the best of all time.
- 2:08:54Speaker 4: He had the cocaine stuff, he had all this all
- 2:08:56Speaker 4: this fight, I q is he's incredible. He's incredible, but
- 2:08:59Speaker 4: he's like a he's a rising individual. So I look
- 2:09:02Speaker 4: at this fight and I'm legit just hoping Jones wins
- 2:09:04Speaker 4: because they're like, I love the storyline of him coming
- 2:09:06Speaker 4: back three years later all that.
- 2:09:08Speaker 11: Yeah, but he is Everybody always chalks up his athleticism,
- 2:09:11Speaker 11: so I don't think that's fair to John Jones. John
- 2:09:13Speaker 11: Jones has the highest fight a Q of anybody. John
- 2:09:15Speaker 11: Jones can figure out what you're doing and he downloads
- 2:09:19Speaker 11: everything you're doing. That when he knocked Daniel Cormier out
- 2:09:22Speaker 11: with that, with that headkick, that was not an accident.
- 2:09:25Speaker 3: That was all planned because Daniel was dipping. He dips,
- 2:09:29Speaker 3: he dips. I think it's to the left.
- 2:09:30Speaker 11: He dips to the left every time he dips the
- 2:09:32Speaker 11: left and throws. And he knew that, and he he
- 2:09:35Speaker 11: got Daniel dip and he goes He's gonna dip boom
- 2:09:38Speaker 11: and kick them so he can again John Jones when
- 2:09:42Speaker 11: he wants.
- 2:09:43Speaker 3: You can't train for a guy like that. You cannot
- 2:09:45Speaker 3: get people. If Daniel Cormier is a two time fucking Olympian,
- 2:09:50Speaker 3: his wrestling is on a different level. That's the most
- 2:09:52Speaker 3: impressive heavyweight. That's the most impressive fight if I've ever
- 2:09:55Speaker 3: met in my life.
- 2:09:55Speaker 11: Five nine. Doesn't you know he's not He's not. You
- 2:09:59Speaker 11: look at him, and he when he's in a polar shirt,
- 2:10:01Speaker 11: he looks like almost like a civilian. I'm sorry, but
- 2:10:04Speaker 11: you know, and and he beat the funk out. The
- 2:10:06Speaker 11: only person that's ever.
- 2:10:06Speaker 3: Beaten that guy is John Jones. He's he's astonishing. Daniel Corman,
- 2:10:10Speaker 3: he's astonishing. But John Jones fucking took him down at will.
- 2:10:15Speaker 3: An olympian double legged him. Excuse me, excuse me, A
- 2:10:19Speaker 3: shorter man double legged him. It's it's astonishing, right, And
- 2:10:23Speaker 3: but but again, is.
- 2:10:24Speaker 1: That the fight where uh you see how to tell
- 2:10:27Speaker 1: made way?
- 2:10:29Speaker 3: That his second fight, Now, I mean that happened, that happened, Yeah,
- 2:10:33Speaker 3: he helps how much trouble making two o five?
- 2:10:36Speaker 2: You know? No, but that's like that, like that happened, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 2:10:40Speaker 2: like he he they ended up letting him basically, Yeah, absolutely, I.
- 2:10:43Speaker 3: Mean it was It's like, I don't know about that.
- 2:10:46Speaker 3: I'm not gonna say that.
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: You know, we already got what we needed anyway, ante
- 2:10:52Speaker 2: what the fuck?
- 2:10:55Speaker 1: I just touched the wall.
- 2:10:56Speaker 11: But what I'm looking for to though, is is watching
- 2:10:59Speaker 11: John now that he's been out for three years.
- 2:11:01Speaker 3: That's a lot of ring rust. But if there's anybody
- 2:11:03Speaker 3: who's not susceptible to ring rust. It's that genius.
- 2:11:05Speaker 4: Do you think having the ability to download somebody is
- 2:11:08Speaker 4: intangible or can that be learned?
- 2:11:10Speaker 11: No, I think that's probably intangible. I think that's fight IQ.
- 2:11:14Speaker 11: That's a different thing. That's something that COONa McGregor has
- 2:11:16Speaker 11: as well. But what I'm what I'm curious about with
- 2:11:21Speaker 11: the what I'm really looking forward to with John and
- 2:11:23Speaker 11: Ghana is that Ghana is a natural giant. He's a
- 2:11:27Speaker 11: two hundred and sixty five pounds.
- 2:11:28Speaker 3: Man's fantastic, yes, and he moves.
- 2:11:31Speaker 11: He's like just an athlete, maybe on like an NFL level.
- 2:11:35Speaker 11: I would imagine, you know, I'm careful with that, but
- 2:11:36Speaker 11: you can see it like and he's also you know,
- 2:11:40Speaker 11: John gets hit and John's not a knockout guy. So
- 2:11:43Speaker 11: I don't think Cyril Goan is going to be afraid
- 2:11:45Speaker 11: of John. I don't think serrol Gon's going to be
- 2:11:47Speaker 11: worried about that. I think sirro Gan is going to
- 2:11:49Speaker 11: be like, I will stand and bang with you, and
- 2:11:51Speaker 11: you can't get hit by Cyril gon once well, or
- 2:11:56Speaker 11: you're going to sleep. He knocked out. Tied to a
- 2:11:58Speaker 11: vasa tied to is tonguin or Maori or Samoan. I'm
- 2:12:04Speaker 11: not sure, but he's.
- 2:12:05Speaker 3: We've already established it.
- 2:12:06Speaker 1: They're different.
- 2:12:07Speaker 3: He's just indestructible. They're different. And uh yes, okay, I'm
- 2:12:12Speaker 3: just yeah legends trying to foll and and bang with
- 2:12:15Speaker 3: that guy and see what happens. Right, You guys know
- 2:12:17Speaker 3: from football, it's a whole different thing. So but Cyril
- 2:12:20Speaker 3: Gan put him to sleep. It's it's a it's a
- 2:12:23Speaker 3: different thing. So so so John has to wrestle with
- 2:12:26Speaker 3: Cyril Gun. And if Cyril Gun was smart, he's getting
- 2:12:29Speaker 3: all those Eastern European and Russian wrestlers in France to
- 2:12:32Speaker 3: come down to his camp and fucking give him hell
- 2:12:35Speaker 3: in the clench and everything else.
- 2:12:37Speaker 11: So he understands what to do. A lot of people
- 2:12:40Speaker 11: think I'm wrong, but I'm going with Cyril Gun.
- 2:12:43Speaker 2: Wow.
- 2:12:44Speaker 1: You might have to clip that, Yeah, clip that hour
- 2:12:48Speaker 1: in forty two minutes.
- 2:12:49Speaker 2: This has been unreal, Bro, appreciate you always know you
- 2:12:52Speaker 2: have a great podcast, and we've just basically it's like
- 2:12:54Speaker 2: story time. It's like we just give you the mic
- 2:12:55Speaker 2: as a cop questions and you can go, Bro, thank you,
- 2:12:58Speaker 2: and it's fun listening to you as serious like your wisdom,
- 2:13:00Speaker 2: the way you think about everything, the way you kind
- 2:13:02Speaker 2: of storytell along with it.
- 2:13:04Speaker 1: It's it's it's awesome. Obviously it comes with a lot
- 2:13:07Speaker 1: of experience.
- 2:13:08Speaker 2: Yeah, but it's been fucking awesome listening to you, and
- 2:13:10Speaker 2: I hope everybody who is watching and listening like enjoys
- 2:13:13Speaker 2: as much as we do. Because clearly you have a
- 2:13:15Speaker 2: lot of joy, and you have a lot of passion
- 2:13:17Speaker 2: in the comedic realm and humor and everything else. But
- 2:13:19Speaker 2: also like your curiosity along your path and quest to
- 2:13:23Speaker 2: acquire you know, all the knowledge and things that you
- 2:13:25Speaker 2: have to find your own, like truth and everything else
- 2:13:27Speaker 2: is like just as admirable.
- 2:13:29Speaker 1: It seems like you've watered all the plants in your life.
- 2:13:31Speaker 11: I continue to it's a process, right, and plants is
- 2:13:34Speaker 11: a good metaphor because you know, if you don't keep
- 2:13:35Speaker 11: watering them, Yeah, the.
- 2:13:37Speaker 2: Die personally, like I was trying to get to but
- 2:13:39Speaker 2: it's almost like you want to know a couple of
- 2:13:40Speaker 2: those pivots in your life that happened that made you
- 2:13:42Speaker 2: get on that quest, because it's not like it's just
- 2:13:44Speaker 2: an a natural knack that you have to go to.
- 2:13:47Speaker 2: Usually some shits going on to where You're like, man,
- 2:13:48Speaker 2: I'm just not being fulfilled right now? What holes am
- 2:13:50Speaker 2: I trying to field to kind of wake that giant
- 2:13:53Speaker 2: up to rest.
- 2:13:54Speaker 11: Everything lead right hopefully. You know, if you're going for
- 2:13:58Speaker 11: something and you really want something to yourself, you are
- 2:14:01Speaker 11: going to reach You're going to meet those you are
- 2:14:04Speaker 11: going to meet that, You're going to meet your shadow
- 2:14:08Speaker 11: and only the blessed do so be ready for it.
- 2:14:11Speaker 3: It's a good thing. It's not a bad thing. Stick around.
- 2:14:15Speaker 1: It was an honor to me. This is this is
- 2:14:17Speaker 1: a lot of fun and everything. Guys, I'll tell you
- 2:14:22Speaker 1: we have a great time with the show tonight.
- 2:14:24Speaker 2: Thank you if you like.
- 2:14:25Speaker 11: If you like me up and you're in New York,
- 2:14:27Speaker 11: March eleven, Sony Hall, maybe maybe the next weekend.
- 2:14:30Speaker 3: I'm a nya.
- 2:14:32Speaker 2: This will be out and probably I don't even know when,
- 2:14:35Speaker 2: probably back half of March.
- 2:14:36Speaker 1: Okay, so what are you doing back half of March?
- 2:14:39Speaker 3: I don't know, Briancallan dot com. I have no idea.
- 2:14:41Speaker 2: So what I was saying before the whole like we're
- 2:14:43Speaker 2: going tonight and thinking that we were messaging who am
- 2:14:46Speaker 2: I talking to on the Fighter and the kid profile
- 2:14:48Speaker 2: it's his name is it Thomas Thomas? Yeah, my boy Thomas.
- 2:14:51Speaker 2: I just messaged him. I'm like, hey, can I get
- 2:14:53Speaker 2: two tickets to the seven o'clock?
- 2:14:54Speaker 3: Dude? Are you kidding?
- 2:14:55Speaker 2: Me?
- 2:14:55Speaker 3: And Taylor? Fine?
- 2:14:57Speaker 1: Squeeze yn letter me up, man, slather me up.
- 2:15:00Speaker 3: Where do I pee out of my huge dick?
