- 0:37[SPEAKER_03]: We're talking about the party, we're talking about reality, the podcast, the podcast, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:01[SPEAKER_04]: I'm dos, snap back to reality.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_04]: It's, it's punchline.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the garbage truck.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_04]: A garbage truck.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_04]: A garbage truck.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_03]: What do you call a cyber truck?
- 1:15[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, oh, nice, got his, got his ass.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_04]: Egglon, we got your ass.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: Got you.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_02]: Got you, egglon.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_04]: Tell me.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: Got you.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_02]: Dr. Egglon's truck.
- 1:28[SPEAKER_02]: garbage truck.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_02]: Today's punchline is the garbage truck.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: What kind of fish do penguins catch in the winter?
- 1:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_04]: They do, a lot of them are ping-winny.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_04]: A lot of them are ping-winny for no real reason.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_04]: What kind of fish do ping-win catch in the winter?
- 1:45[SPEAKER_04]: A garbage truck?
- 1:47[SPEAKER_04]: Probably does the answer?
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: What the hell was that?
- 1:50[SPEAKER_02]: That was the answer to last week.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_02]: That was ridiculous.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_04]: or two weeks ago, Jordan's always like, yeah, we could talk about whatever on the podcast, but apparently that was a bridge too far.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_03]: I just could not follow, I just could not follow the logical what's so ever.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it's great.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_02]: The screen froze a little bit there.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_03]: I thought, I thought, on inside joke happened without me, I got scared.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure this part of this.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_03]: I'm usually part of those.
- 2:24[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, neither of you are correct.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Kelly, Kelly R submitted this to upperparent.com, funny jokes for kids.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_04]: What has four wheels and flies a garbage truck?
- 2:40[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I get it.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's I think pretty clever.
- 2:43[SPEAKER_04]: It's a thinker.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_04]: If you're not a kid, if you're a kid, it makes perfect sense.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_04]: Sure, yeah.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_02]: You just hear cue, cue the kid laughing, chorus.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_02]: There's just so many.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_03]: Like the beginning of the beginning of Diddy Kong Racing.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, you know, you don't talk about it.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Carter with the penguins.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_02]: And that was a pretty good joke.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to give some credit.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_02]: That might be the best way of the year.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_02]: It was a good one.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_02]: That classic like a February movie.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: Critics are saying it's the best movie of the year.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like okay, the best action movie of the year.
- 3:24[SPEAKER_04]: the scariest movie of the year is primate.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: That does look scary.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_04]: Was that the, I heard it was pretty good, which is surprising, because I was getting stinky vibes.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_03]: I heard nothing about it.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, really?
- 3:38[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the only people I heard say it was good was sponsored ads for the movie, so I'm sure I can't really, and I believe, I don't believe those implicitly, why would they lie?
- 3:47[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I guess I'm excited.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_03]: Last night, I was out pretty late for me on a Saturday evening,
- 3:55[SPEAKER_03]: And we were doing something fun with some friends.
- 3:57[SPEAKER_03]: We got an invite to go out with some friends and do something pretty fun.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_03]: Little did I know how fun it was about to be.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_03]: Did you get in the Netflix house?
- 4:07[SPEAKER_03]: Nope, something different.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to send the two of you a picture from my phone.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_03]: I'm also going to send you something else here in just a minute, but I'm going to send you a picture of my phone and show you what I did last night.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_03]: It should be arriving in your inbox's momentarily.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_03]: No way.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, way.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_03]: Dude.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_03]: This is crazy.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_03]: Dope.
- 4:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_03]: You didn't know, huh?
- 4:31[SPEAKER_03]: I had no idea.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_03]: So we went, we got invited out to go to dinner with some friends of some friends.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_03]: Um, and then go to a drag show in uptown last night, and we found out I think during the day on Friday the Rosarim.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, cool.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_03]: The Rosarim.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_03]: Um, we found out during the day on Friday that the special guests of this drag show were going to be a Thena Dion and juicy love Dion from this season of
- 5:03[SPEAKER_03]: RuPaul's Drag Race, two of my favorites.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_03]: Juicy specifically, I think taking first place for me in my favorites.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_03]: And when we got there, the screen in the back revealed to us that there was yet another surprise,
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: which is that Mia Star also from this season of Rupal's Drag Race.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, that's amazing.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_04]: That's so fun.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_03]: And I got one more thing to send to you.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_03]: If you have both seen not Friday's episode, but last week's episode, the first episode of the talent show.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_03]: Just right.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this is fine.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_03]: Um, well, no, no real spoilers here, except for there was a lip sync for the win between two people that was, so it was an all-time good.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: Wow.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_03]: And all-time.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's so great.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and pretty good.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_03]: We'll take just a minute here so you can watch this video, which is juicy and me performing their lip sync for the win.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_02]: No way.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_02]: Is this what they were wearing in their lip sync?
- 6:04[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_04]: It's like the full deal.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_04]: That's amazing.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's a surprise.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, it was.
- 6:13[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, just so great stuff when they lives things against each other?
- 6:17[SPEAKER_03]: Um, no.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_03]: So there are both just like unbelievable dancers and just happened to be like unbelievable.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_03]: Amazing.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_04]: And it honestly, listen, it takes a lot.
- 6:25[SPEAKER_04]: You have to be really good for me to be able to tell that you're really good.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_04]: I have to remember they're extremely good.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_02]: This conversation began, I think, with us watching Mary Poppins.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Mia needs to dance for like Britney Spears, and I think Shakira and Wow, as Daneston Vegas and a bunch of things.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_03]: So I think for Carol, I want to say Daneston the Super Bowl half-time show with Beyonce too You know, yeah, well, and now she's dancing Dallas and now she's dancing Dallas, which is probably the highest and I can confirm all three of the so we were about probably 40 feet from the stage We're pretty close.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_03]: It's not a big room.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_03]: It was
- 6:57[SPEAKER_04]: Act.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_03]: I mean absolutely sure dude like walls of all shoulder to shoulder.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm sure they would, you know, come and work the aisles and all three Athena Mia and juicy stood
- 7:09[SPEAKER_03]: six inches from me, and I can confirm all three of them smell amazing.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, every single one of them, whatever their signature sense are, they smell very good.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, it was an absolute blast completely capped off and made by the fact that that performance, particularly happened.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_03]: That song started and our whole row was just like, oh, that was amazing.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_03]: So cool.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_03]: So fun.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_03]: We had a blast.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_03]: So apparently they do shows every Saturday.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_03]: There's like drag queens in residency there that work every single Saturday night.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_03]: So there were local queens there as well that were part of the show.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_03]: And if that's a, if that's a, a community in an art form that you like, uh, I would say go out.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: It's very welcoming.
- 7:57[SPEAKER_03]: You'll have a ton of fun and uh, cover charge is not expensive.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: Just make sure you bring money to give the queens for the hard work they do.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I can't.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, man.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_04]: It just, I don't know.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_04]: It just seems like a total drag.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, yeah.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_03]: And it was, it was a drag.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: Um, the whole time.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, no absolute blast could not.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you're, you're kind of in a window
- 8:20[SPEAKER_02]: still kind of doing local stuff because I'm sure they'll go on tour at some point soon.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: For sure.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_03]: That's awesome.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_03]: Incredible.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_03]: That's amazing, dude.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_03]: So fun.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, very cool night.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_03]: Very cool night.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_03]: Incredible.
- 8:33[SPEAKER_03]: And Kade did the whole episode.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_03]: Y'all probably should be none.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: That's it, we're not gonna do it.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_02]: So we're recording on the day of the Super Bowl, right?
- 8:42[SPEAKER_02]: And so Super Bowl hasn't happened yet, but my assumption would be in the midst of all of the filler that is the commercials and all that fun stuff.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_02]: There's always the movie trailers of it all, right?
- 8:52[SPEAKER_02]: You've got your funny or short heartfelt commercial that's selling a product, and then you've also got.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: the movie trailers.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I have no doubt that we'll get something that probably has something to do with Doomsday and this long countdown that we've had for Doomsday.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: I cannot help but think with how, I don't know if I'd call it trailblazing but how industry forming we've got a new timeline essentially with the way that we make movies because of how successful the
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: I think that doomsday in its ironic name ultimately when you really think about it has to be one of the biggest risks and I'm not saying financial, this movie will make two billion no matter how good it is, but for those of us that still hold on to an extent,
- 9:56[SPEAKER_02]: maybe in general of people that are looking into this and I guess that's the person, there's an optimistic person.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_02]: This is just the countdown feels ridiculous already to me.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: And it just doesn't carry any weight.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like, I find myself sad that Chris Evans is back and I feel like, yeah, there's just so much happening here.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_02]: It's such a mess and you can kind of feel like you can see it
- 10:26[SPEAKER_02]: the iceberg for the Titanic is just like this is going to be.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_02]: I cannot help but feel the doom of it all.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to see it nice and I think I'll be, yeah, sure.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think I will be shocked if it's good.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_02]: And all I'm asking for it to be is enjoyable.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_02]: But I think it's going because we're piecing together all of these things.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_04]: Two late, hey, yeah, this is about 10 years too late for the Fox X man.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, this is the fourth time the Fox X man.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_04]: It's been like, we're gonna bring them out for one last time.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_04]: Like, that card's been played so many times.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_04]: It, I totally agree with you.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_04]: It feels like it is September.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_04]: And a guy who graduated from high school last year shows up in his letter jacket and is like, I'd like to stand on the sidelines, please.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, man, like, that part of your life is over.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's weird because it's a conversation that I had, you know, a hundred times a week in 2014.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_03]: you know, sitting on patios and porches with the homies and talking about like man, you know, if we could just get the fox accident in here, if we could get this happen, I would love to see Dr. Doom on the screen.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_03]: It would be amazing.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, yeah, that would have been awesome, but you've ended, you've ended the MCU's over and then all these like death rattles keep coming out.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, just do something over, like do something different, kill it, wait a few years and come back with something fresh or new, like, I understand, I mean, I do understand it's money, but
- 12:04[SPEAKER_03]: I think you look at their stories, they want to tell, but yeah, that's not my problem.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_03]: Don't make it my problem.
- 12:10[SPEAKER_02]: When you look at Disney as a production company's success with their franchise IP right now, it is doovers or outside of the universe enough, like Andor doing so well.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_02]: It's because it's like we don't have to tell the whole story again.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't have to all be connected.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we did enough with Rogue One to know where these people will go.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: And that's kind of interesting too, right?
- 12:34[SPEAKER_02]: But then even to bring back like, you know, X-Men 97, that cartoon show is doing so well.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: Because we just like reframed it and did that again.
- 12:42[SPEAKER_02]: How you remember this?
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: This is awesome, you know?
- 12:45[SPEAKER_03]: And it's just like all four nostalgia, particularly when it's,
- 12:49[SPEAKER_03]: giving me a fresh lens or an updated viewing method.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_03]: Like, I think whenever there's, you know, whether it's video games, you know, hey, now it's widescreen and it's better textures, or, you know, we're re-releasing this, particularly animation when they can go back through and like clean up the animation and make it look a little newer and fresher because like, I understand the appeal of an old look, but for me at least, you know,
- 13:13[SPEAKER_03]: a new look, a fresh coat of paint on something that just needed that fresh coat of paint and that's it.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_03]: That's always good for me.
- 13:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'm never going to be sad about like, you know, updated graphics, updated textures, updated whatever.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_03]: That's all cool.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_03]: To me, that this is not that.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_03]: To me, this is a...
- 13:30[SPEAKER_03]: And it makes me happy there's a lot of creativity and smaller creative spaces right now.
- 13:34[SPEAKER_03]: There's a ton of interesting, you know, I think we talked a little bit in discord this week about Iron Lung that Markiplier movie.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_03]: Do I think it looks amazing?
- 13:42[SPEAKER_03]: No, but I'm gonna see it because I'm so happy that there is a creator who was just passionate about something.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_03]: and did everything he possibly could to bring it to fruition.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_03]: And I like rewarding that.
- 13:54[SPEAKER_03]: And I think what we're seeing in the big space right now in a lot of industries, TV, movies, music, to an extent video games is I think we're seeing things that should be creative pursuits turned into financial pros and cons lists of like, well, we'll make this much money if we do this much effort.
- 14:19[SPEAKER_03]: to see my creative projects come to life.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_03]: No, not at all.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: And there's a bit of a sadness too, because I think of how magical the MCU had been at one point I think of seeing the Avengers with you guys and like our entire fraternity and just being absolutely like losing our minds with certain things that were happening.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_02]: But I think the biggest thing overall that is just so blatant and they have to be functioning, our producers have to be functioning even with this knowledge and to what extent we're gonna find out whether or not they care,
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: in the actual release of this movie.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: But you think about like, even during the infinity saga, like even during in-game, the amount of critique that you could have gotten was really just about like, lower.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what kind of stuff are we taking in that situation?
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: But now, it is like, you know, Dr.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: Strange is opening up these port holes to where all the new critics are walking through, almost like the end of in-game, and it's like, well,
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: I can't believe you did this.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_02]: I can't believe you made this decision.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_02]: Like there's too much history all right.
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's like you're going to bring these people in.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like is it supposed to make my heart leap when I see the fantastic four?
- 15:28[SPEAKER_04]: Right, when I see, when I see sweet old Ian McKellen at 97 years old, at least it's not hanging around as Magdening.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_02]: And wrong again.
- 15:39[SPEAKER_04]: Skillskin or whatever he was.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_04]: And oh, yeah, it's from cats.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_04]: Right, at least to get us out of it.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_04]: Right, but man, like we've played that card so many times.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_04]: Like 10 years ago, days of future past, it was like, can you believe they got you in the Kellon back for this one?
- 15:54[SPEAKER_04]: And that no longer works for me.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_04]: I think post-end game, these movies really, really have to answer the question they've never had a answer before, which is why did you make this?
- 16:05[SPEAKER_04]: Like before end game, watching any Marvel movie was like, I understand why you made this because we need these guys to beat Thanos.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_04]: Or I understand why you made this
- 16:15[SPEAKER_04]: But like, there have been, it feels like every Marvel project has to answer that question.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_04]: Now, and so I'm doing it more successfully than others.
- 16:22[SPEAKER_04]: I know folks really enjoy the fantastic four and really enjoy Thunderbolts.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_04]: Like, Sean, like, you know, I loved Sean, G. But we're, we're, we're the questions still lingers of like, why did you make this?
- 16:33[SPEAKER_04]: Why did you make this one?
- 16:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I think I wonder if there was like one, like you imagine like the MCU and kind of a met-away, like our production company,
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: Post things together, here's, you know, laying shows up and he's like, I found a way to change the past.
- 16:51[SPEAKER_02]: If there's like some time warp that they could jump to, is it the moment that like,
- 16:56[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe we shouldn't cast Jonathan majors, you know, is like, is that it?
- 16:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, maybe.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Right, like, is that the singular moment?
- 17:02[SPEAKER_02]: Because, and man was bad, that's fine.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_02]: Thor, the dark world was bad.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_02]: In the middle of their best.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_02]: That they've ever done, you know?
- 17:08[SPEAKER_04]: And so it's like, yeah.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_02]: But at least it gave us a little bit of who the big bad is going to be.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_02]: And then it turns out he's, oh, great, another shitty man in the world.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: And so it's like, right.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_02]: Well, what do we do now?
- 17:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: Let's move, Dr. Doom up eight years just like that.
- 17:25[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, I think if I could lay the blame at the feet, it would be of two gentlemen and the first I would say 90% of the blame does belong at the feet of Jonathan majors of like, oh, I think that the majors thing really threw us for a loop here.
- 17:39[SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_04]: And then I think 10% of the blame does go at the feet of my dear sweet.
- 17:43[SPEAKER_04]: Tackle by TT.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_04]: because of how absolutely terrible 11th under was.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_04]: That's the movie that's sowered me.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_04]: That made me go from like, I'll give any of these a chance to be like, I don't think these are worth my time unless I have...
- 17:55[SPEAKER_02]: It is unfortunate too, just which how good.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: And I always hate when a villain is wasted because I think Gore was great.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_02]: Christian Bale was unbelievable in that movie.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and they gave us beautiful things like his little planet and all that stuff.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_02]: But, yeah, anyways, I just thought it was worth bringing that up.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_02]: This foundationally, two chunks in a hunk was an MCU podcast.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_02]: It was because, yeah, culturally there was enough going on.
- 18:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think, yes, would have been inevitable that maybe the three of us joined together and talk about things that we love.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, would we record it likely, you know, and so it's like,
- 18:29[SPEAKER_02]: I think we would be remiss if we don't mention it.
- 18:31[SPEAKER_02]: Because I think it's starting to get into the quote unquote hype of it all, especially when we started that ridiculous count down that we never even did straight.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_03]: Right, men, we would have recorded it.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_03]: We would have recorded it.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_02]: We have to.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_04]: We would have, yeah, it's part of that pact.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_04]: We made with the demon and said, we'll be friends forever.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_04]: We just have to record the podcast.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_04]: We got to record it.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_04]: He's right.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: It would have happened.
- 18:52[SPEAKER_02]: But anyways, thought that was worth a talk.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_02]: As Symey depressing as it can be.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_06]: Let's, uh, take a little break.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_00]: And thanks for listening to Chunks in a Hong Kong.
- 19:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's been a podcast about so far pop culture, happening, it's going on.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_00]: And now it's time to make a little money so that we can continue to bring you this delicious content for years to come.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan speaking on behalf of two Chunks in the Hong Kong.
- 19:30[SPEAKER_00]: Tag friends.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_03]: I've run out of that voice.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't good to begin with.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_03]: It exists only due to the generosity of listeners like you.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, thank you.
- 19:40[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I was doing.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_04]: Please continue to support us financially.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_04]: You're kind of serious in sports.
- 19:46[SPEAKER_04]: So please, please continue to support me.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_04]: I hate that kind of podcast, kid.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: Not that kind of podcast.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_04]: Tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell your mom, tell your mom, tell everybody.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: listening to good friends talk, perhaps in an imaginary state, the great dungeons and dragons of the popularity in the early 80s coming back now.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_02]: These two, if you are willing to imagine dungeons, I would highly recommend to listen for that as well.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think we could, do you think we could pitch our show to MPR now?
- 20:32[SPEAKER_04]: That we've done that for this ad break.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_04]: Do you think MPR would be like, actually?
- 20:36[SPEAKER_04]: Hang on, I'm interested.
- 20:38[SPEAKER_02]: No, I didn't notice you growled.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't notice you had a very soft and thoughtful sort of radio voice, saying normal things slowly with long pauses in between them, that makes you a perfect fit for NPR.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_01]: on your podcast feed.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: This has been Doge.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: You can tell none of us really listen to ambient.
- 21:16[SPEAKER_04]: Ah!
- 21:16[SPEAKER_04]: I know, I listen to cereal.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_04]: I know what happened.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_04]: Right.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I don't know the truth.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know the actual truth.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_04]: Who can?
- 21:22[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not on witness.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_03]: We're back with two chunks in a hunk.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna talk a little traitors season four.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_03]: Here's the thing.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_03]: At a busy day yesterday, watch the first half of traders didn't get to the second half.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to be honest, first half was riveting, but really, I have signed my permission slip from my mom to be spoiled by you two so that we can move forward with the very important traders' discussion.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_03]: Let's begin at the beginning, which I did see with the murder, but even before that the turret conversation, which was, I would say, tense and dude, amazing.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's interesting that we bring up Avengers Endgame, because the last time I felt that Avengers Endgame Avengers Infinity War feeling, when I was watching those, I felt
- 22:24[SPEAKER_04]: And that is how I felt for this episode.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_04]: I thought you were going to say Candison Robber and Avengers Level Threat is what you're going to do.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_04]: They aren't Avengers Level Threat.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm assembling a team to stop them.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_04]: All of my wildest interviewers.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_04]: Last week, when we were talking about traders, we said the most interesting possible way that this season could go is Trader Proxy War.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_04]: I'm using my faithfuls as my soldiers to try and take out the other trader.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_04]: Well, guess what?
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: come on, dude, what a great episode of this show.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think, not since Eisenhardt, have I felt like Gand off walking in to Sauroma.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm talking about?
- 23:03[SPEAKER_02]: Like, these guys who at the beginning, you get the vibe, okay, long time allies.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_02]: You do your thing over in your part of the world, I'll do mine.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_02]: Then there's this conflict that's coming, and you're like, oh, my God.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_02]: In the recounting of just this episode and its recency, much less in the recounting of it in like once it becomes archive of like years of the traders.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_02]: No one is ever talking about anything, but Candice and Rob of it all.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_02]: Like this is, we have moments, I know that traders is not scripted.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and who's to say that the whole point of reality TV is the it's so the organic of it all on the actual real life of it all is what makes it perhaps gripping in a completely different way than something that that is right, but it does feel funny to be like this feels like it was written like this is are are so you at least got to see the confrontation in the library or wherever they were yes When Rob sits down with Candace did you get to see that?
- 24:06[SPEAKER_02]: No, I stopped after the challenge after they did the paintings.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_02]: I'll say this too, the challenge is so fun.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_02]: I think the challenge was very challenging.
- 24:14[SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to play this before we moved to the turret.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, I do so.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_02]: We got a turret in the murder, of course.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_03]: Because very specifically, there were two moments in the turret that I was like, yes.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, because I, by the way, huge Candace fan, but Rob is playing a game, the likes of which I have not seen in the traders, and so I'm just rooting for him simply due to, I want to see this strategy payoff because it's good for the show if it does.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, Rob, Rob is the trader's doctor will of like, I figure it out.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_03]: To kind of think so.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_03]: This game.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_03]: And when he, and not believe the way he's playing, when he agreed to let Candace murder, Colton, who is who is murdered in this episode of the traders.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_03]: His explanation of sometimes, I can't remember the quote that he gives, but basically essentially it's like it's not, it's not the information you have and it's the information you don't.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_03]: There's something like that, but essentially his point is,
- 25:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to let Candace sign her own death warrant here, yes, because the next person on Colton's list was Candace and people knew that.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_03]: So if he's murdered, it will point to her and not me.
- 25:30[SPEAKER_03]: He gave up his number one ally to point the blame at his number one opposition.
- 25:39[SPEAKER_04]: I cannot, like, the, just so masterfully outplaying her in that moment.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_04]: It's, and she doesn't even know, it's like, it's like, it's like, when you're watching, it's like when I would play NBA Street with my friends on GameCube and I would do something to them.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_04]: That's just so disrespectful as you own the game and they don't over.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_04]: And it's just like, I can't believe how masterfully he played this.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_02]: And it's so funny, I feel like the three of us communicate really well in metaphor.
- 26:10[SPEAKER_02]: I know that that's how, you know, almost any time I'm trying to teach somebody something, I try and find some connection to be like, you know, it's like this, yeah.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_02]: But the fact that the metaphor was an actual reality, like he's playing chess, right?
- 26:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, he's playing chess, which we have seen him sit down.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_02]: Can you imagine just being the production team and storyboarding this and just being like, well, thanks, Rob.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_02]: Look what he's doing.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_02]: He's a good player.
- 26:34[SPEAKER_03]: We don't even have to do that.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_03]: He says, Candace is not in check, but she did just lose her queen.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, RAAAM!
- 26:42[SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna do it.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's so good.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_04]: Look at what he's given us.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_04]: I can't, like, this season has saved my opinion of the show forever.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I enjoyed the first season.
- 26:56[SPEAKER_04]: I loved watching Surrey pretty easily win.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_04]: seasons two and three, I didn't finish.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_04]: I got so bored halfway through your seasons two and three.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, season four is easily, no matter how it ends.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_04]: Easily the best season of this show.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_04]: It's fulfilling the promise of what the show could be.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think it was just absolutely.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: This season is doing so much for the rest of traders.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think for now, for you to have an announcement that, hey, after the Normie season, all Normies on season five, we're doing all star season six, basically confirmed.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't know that it is.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, I'm not sure that it's a normie season five.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_03]: I still think it's a spin.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pretty sure it's like
- 27:33[SPEAKER_03]: a different show because they mention that it'll be on NBC instead of peacock.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_03]: I think there will still be a regular trader season five.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_04]: I think so regards in NBC is picking up like normal people traders.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: Gotcha.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: Gotcha.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: Gotcha.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's what our traders are.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_02]: Our traders.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: That's what he's an out-of-the-an-out.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_04]: Great.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 27:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's basically on the back end of Andrew's Doomsday, by the way.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_02]: He is back end of Andrew's Doomsday.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's not crawler.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_02]: Crazy.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_02]: Amazing.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: So I think to
- 28:03[SPEAKER_02]: to do this because now I think any time it's so tropey of a reality competition show and we're getting them sooner and sooner and sooner to have an all-star season right all stars is everything it's everywhere.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: RuPaul survivor.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: Do they do that a big brother?
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe they do.
- 28:21[SPEAKER_02]: The challenge is basically all that's ever is, you know.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they do.
- 28:25[SPEAKER_02]: They've done a couple all-star seasons on big brother.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: So you've got to think that was already a part of the plan, but to see how well season 4 is doing, you're like amazing.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_02]: And I think in the production room, when we're like, okay, here's what we need to, like, we're about to be in the castle.
- 28:39[SPEAKER_02]: Here's all the things we should record.
- 28:40[SPEAKER_02]: Do you just feel like the white board is just bold to just say it's follow Rob?
- 28:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yeah, for sure.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: Just follow Rob.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: You know?
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: And we'll talk a little bit about, like,
- 28:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's just up to, it's not just up to Rob that this season is so good.
- 28:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think he's carrying it by any means because of him in the dynamic with Candice and Lisa and that our traders are, our, our, faithfuls are great too, but they're so good.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_03]: They're decision by the way to not recruit made me very happy.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_03]: I think recruiting is often a trap, especially this late in the game.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_03]: And I think Rob, Rob deciding,
- 29:18[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Robin and Candice, both of them deciding like, they all this does is give one of us an opportunity to bring in somebody to rally against the other person and we both would rather not have that happen.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's pretty spectacular.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_03]: And if I don't, because if I'm Rob or Candice and I can get rid of the other person, it would be pretty easy to start the conversation of like, the last one could be anybody, you know?
- 29:44[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_03]: That's a pretty easy jumping off point for that conversation, which I think is cool.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: We can now, so Kristen gets the shield.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, Kristen.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_02]: So quickly.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: Grab set, which is great.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_02]: There's a moment where Rob, you know, he's one of the three.
- 30:06[SPEAKER_02]: Rob always happens to be at the place to have the knob, which is great.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: And that's because he's earned trust pretty quick.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: And three of our people that go over there, they're of the dagger six, I believe, as they call themselves.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I, the candidate at one point tries to get it off of robes.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_02]: So that's worth mentioning, because they do a bit of callback of that.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like, well, you know, I think maybe Stephen needs it more or something like that.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: Because later on, there would be some kind of conversation about this between Johnny and I don't remember who, but Johnny is maybe even before Colton left,
- 30:42[SPEAKER_02]: He feels kind of like our strongest faithful right now, in terms of sway that he has and some of the ideas that he has.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: But now we get to a conversation to where, so it starts with, I think Candace is talking to, is it who's our dancing with, no, no, no, it was Steven.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: So Candace is talking with Steven in that room.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_02]: I can't remember exactly what room we're in.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_02]: And both of them, we've already got a little bit of their catching some heat.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: Both of their names are coming out because there's this whole thing of life.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of people talking about like, there's got to be a guy.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_02]: Which is so fun because we're early enough, you know, we're collecting the data.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: Here's the data points, right?
- 31:18[SPEAKER_02]: And every time someone says this out loud, I just know that Alan and the production team were like, okay, noted.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like, we're going to throw you out.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, there's going to be years where it's people, it's all gamers, or there's going to be years where it's all men, or it's all women.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: Traders does not feel held to, well, actually, we're going to make more money if we make sure that we have more housewives.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I think we've got a right.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think they're going to have that kind of political type sway, maybe leaning more towards a survivor.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's like, I don't know.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_02]: Let's just pick 24 people with sappy stories that got picked on at this point.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's like that's all they do.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'll ban geeks for sure.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll ban geeks, right?
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: And so
- 32:01[SPEAKER_02]: Rob walks by and production has done it all season to where they're kind of like any time someone's having a really serious conversation They'll show our main area.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_02]: That's got the staircase the lobby's kind of in between everything else.
- 32:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they'll show the lobby and you never know really how they've cut this, you know You'll have like a Christian walking and actually what's happening and like friends in here.
- 32:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, who?
- 32:22[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it's because production was telling her who knows what we're doing here.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: But Rob legitimately, with his food, which he has become Brad Pitt in Oceans 11, he's always eating.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: Right?
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: Rob stands and we can tell because Candace is talking about Rob.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: We're seeing one of Candace's heavy-handed
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: like I think it could be Rob and Steven is sitting there kind of like oh yeah and you can't I don't think she's really swaying him because Steven seems to be clearly on Rob's note Rob comes in he's like like can we talk for a minute can we can talk to him and Steven he's yeah sure kids to get out and then it's here oh my god the tension again they're sitting right by it's just the best
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: the best scene in this episode dude, like I watched this, like it was a movie show it's a movie theater to me just go on a quiet, it can't it's a robber sitting there and can't as has.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: the kind of look that would make you manifest trouble for yourself.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like that I'm certain I'm not in trouble.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: But the way Candice is looking at me.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe she's starting to hold it for herself.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_02]: And she's so good at that.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_02]: And we've already heard them both.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_02]: They both come from a place of calm.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: Which I think is their M.O.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: regardless.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't think it hurt that the last time we saw Trader versus Trader, it was loud.
- 33:38[SPEAKER_02]: and it was boisterous and it was aggressive, right?
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: So it's a little bit of that, too.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_02]: but we're just sitting there and Candice starts to say certain things if you do your own thing and I'll do mine, and she's like, my name keeps coming up, how'd that happen?
- 33:55[SPEAKER_02]: And Rob is playing it so well, and he's like, I heard that from Colton, she's like, how long have you known that from Colton?
- 34:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's like he said, I heard about all this this morning, and he's like, you don't believe me, do you?
- 34:05[SPEAKER_02]: And they are choosing to keep the silence that we have between some of this dialogue and it is tense, because they know it's tense.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_02]: And she was like, I don't.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_02]: And then she has her line about him being a snake and just calling him a snake to his face.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: And she was like, I want you to know that if I get banished tonight, it's going to be bit.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like you're not going to be without a fight and you're going to go down next.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_02]: and he was something along the lines of just being like, well, that's not good sportsmanship, you know?
- 34:35[SPEAKER_02]: That's poor sportsmanship, poor sportsmanship, yes, and then she was like basically like, well, that's what you did at least, you know, it's just a back and forth.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, my goodness.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: And it's so funny to really be in the middle of the algorithm.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_02]: to see everything about all of the housewife armies are just like this, snake of a, I cannot believe this guy.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_02]: And then the rest of the world is like, oh my god, Rob, 10 at a time, yes.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_02]: Which is exactly what you want.
- 35:07[SPEAKER_02]: I think if you have a show like this and you've got, not even factions, you've got just boring individuals.
- 35:14[SPEAKER_02]: You want it to be a split culturally.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, first.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_02]: When is the last time we had a full split of something?
- 35:20[SPEAKER_02]: You know, I do think Survivor had this.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_02]: And that's one of the things that's frustrating now because Survivor is like, I hope we just get one champion everybody roots for.
- 35:30[SPEAKER_02]: And now they've just got a stiff arm everyone so they can win the whole thing.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_02]: Because when we fall short of that, then it's a collection of people that nobody cares.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: And so the last two or three episodes, you don't really care.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_02]: But in something like this, you're like, I don't care which way it ends up.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_02]: This is amazing.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_02]: And this feels like also the longest silence, which it shouldn't be when there's like 10 people left.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_02]: to where Alan has his fanfare and he says, let's talk about it, you know?
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: And nobody's saying anything.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_02]: And Candace's eyebrows are working over time.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_02]: And as she just looks back and forth.
- 36:12[SPEAKER_02]: And Rob is just, you know, always feels like he's kind of making himself small at the table.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, like posture, you know, just leaning as much as he possibly can.
- 36:22[SPEAKER_02]: And their names, neither of their names even get brought up for like the first two people.
- 36:28[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody mentions Tara, actually.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think that was one of the first ones like it's mentioned.
- 36:35[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't even really remember why, right?
- 36:37[SPEAKER_02]: And then Stephen kind of gets mentioned by somebody.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_02]: I can't remember why that was either.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: Do you remember, does like why did their names even come up?
- 36:48[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was just random people trying to take, trying to take shots just to see what's going to happen.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_04]: Who's, how are we going to react to this?
- 36:56[SPEAKER_04]: Because I really don't think anybody at the table besides Candice and Rob is prepared to lead a charge against anybody.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_04]: Well, and here's what I think the people at the table are like, tell me who we think it might be and all vote for them.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_02]: Because Colton's gone.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:24[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:33[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: What's the name of our beautiful hair, Marco?
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: Mark, Mark.
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: Mark, I think actually takes a shot and brings up Candace for the sake of the Thrall Alevote.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, hey, can we just talk about this?
- 37:56[SPEAKER_04]: Candace is catching a lot of flag for the throwaway though in this episode because she's set all the time.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_04]: I'm somebody who votes with conviction.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_04]: I don't throw votes away.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_04]: And then she says that out loud and people are like, like you did last week.
- 38:07[SPEAKER_02]: Right, on the rub and she's like, well, you do that.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_02]: And she's still doing great.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_02]: She's still doing a great job of like, yeah, I'm sure.
- 38:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm sure.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_02]: But then she chooses, which I think might have been not best for her.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_02]: She chooses to
- 38:23[SPEAKER_02]: go back at Rob at this point, right?
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think there had been so much of maybe a rehearsal in her mind of the, I think she would, she's the kind of prey that would be backed into a corner and still make the predator feel like they're in the corner.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_02]: Kind of situation.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_02]: Right, yes, yeah.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: And so, but she kind of goes at him.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: And then, but then, more of all people comes in and says, so you said he was a throwaway vote,
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: Was it a throw, Eva?
- 38:55[SPEAKER_02]: Why would you keep the stuff on Rob?
- 38:57[SPEAKER_02]: Now, it just feels like extra deflection now.
- 39:00[SPEAKER_02]: But now you're going back at Rob.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't feel very creative for you to go back at Rob.
- 39:04[SPEAKER_02]: To where if you're trying to take the heat off you, why wouldn't you just go at the first two people that were like, we could have gone, and she probably could have led the charge against Steven and Tara?
- 39:15[SPEAKER_02]: Easily.
- 39:15[SPEAKER_04]: But she's so pissed.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: Rob.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: She's so laser focused.
- 39:19[SPEAKER_04]: She's come back.
- 39:20[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, get him now.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_04]: Let's take right she keeps talking about how she wants to serve her revenge to Rob.
- 39:25[SPEAKER_04]: Right for turning on the traders was to serve her revenge to that.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_04]: That narrow focus of like I'm forgetting the purpose of the game and instead I'm going to make it extremely personal.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_04]: is the downfall of players in this game.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think so too.
- 39:40[SPEAKER_03]: And it's Rob's super power.
- 39:43[SPEAKER_03]: It's Rob's super power that he doesn't seem to fall into that trap that he is game-focused.
- 39:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I feel like the particularly, it seems like, what we've seen is the brand of housewives, that they're their particular brand of drama, which, of course, makes 10 out of 10 television,
- 40:00[SPEAKER_03]: doesn't win.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_03]: When that catches up with them in this game, it creates trouble.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_04]: They have to demonstrate skills beyond those which have served them on their housewives show.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_04]: Because like what she's doing of like, I'll never forget a slight against me.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_04]: That's what makes housewives good.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, that's what she needs to be.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_03]: Because you're a 10 season long beef, where it's like I've ever forget.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly, she has to be that person on housewives.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_04]: And she can't be on the trader.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_04]: Sure, and he's successful.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_04]: No, I mean, she's certainly successful watching.
- 40:31[SPEAKER_04]: Cause man, sure, yeah.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, how to present.
- 40:34[SPEAKER_02]: Alex comes in and has the reminder that there is still the dagger.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_02]: And so yeah, the thing where it's like if you're willing to reveal yourself and use the double vote, raise your hand.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: We focus in on the Gorgeously-tatted, wearing his name tag.
- 40:51[SPEAKER_02]: If Candace would say so, snake of Rob.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_02]: Who is not raising his hand?
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: He doesn't raise his hand to use the trigger.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: Good.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_02]: Go around and we could vote.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_02]: I will say this, Jordan, that
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: The only votes that were not for Candace were Candace who voted Robigan and Natalie who voted Tara.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, interesting.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_04]: Poor Natalie has no idea.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_03]: She's a lot better.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_03]: And that she broke.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_03]: I got to tell you if that boat's at the death.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: So well, that's next week.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_02]: And you're already seeing, and Rob knows the next four weeks are set.
- 41:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, and it's, and so, Candace goes, and one of the last votes is Johnny.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_02]: who is like, I'm so sorry to do this, but I have to go for you, Candice.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: And that's one of the biggest surprises.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_02]: The moment that we see Johnny, go for Candice, we're pretty sure she's going home.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_02]: And so, shout out to the production being an Allen's year, because he's talked about how they tell him who to ask first.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_02]: to start it and it's always there is so much to be said about that.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: But anyways, he has Candace go up to the reveal circle and she uses Rob's words because Rob, he's like, I'm my voters for you, you know, you talented.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of the thing that maybe we've done since
- 42:17[SPEAKER_02]: either Rappapore or Colton, started doing this thing of being like, Rappapore's awful or literation that he used wrong and Rob Colton out.
- 42:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know, right, you have Colton, but he's a lady, Colton, yeah, the beautiful,
- 42:34[SPEAKER_02]: Respectful.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_03]: What am I being a misarrading?
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_02]: He votes.
- 42:39[SPEAKER_02]: He votes her out on those terms.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: And she takes them back at the circle, right?
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: She says, I am, you know, in Lisa, F.ing.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_02]: Renna did this too.
- 42:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's a very hard thing in general.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_02]: There's a moment that I don't that I think was legitimate because we were sitting there.
- 42:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's like I'm so glad she didn't just blow his cover.
- 42:56[SPEAKER_02]: But I think she did leave a little something because she said respectful.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_02]: I think is what the word was.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_02]: And lingered a bit dead eye contact with Rob.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_02]: Before she revealed she was a traitor.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: And so she reveals that everybody's going crazy, Rob is doing the same thing.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_02]: I think Candace's, so Candace's attack on Rob Jordan was saying how flustered he felt when Colton left.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: Which he just got to say, like at the breakfast because he dropped his fork, he dropped his fork.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_02]: I will tell you most of Rob's, most of Rob's, most of Rob's rebuttals are non-verbal.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: Dearing you sliding me.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_02]: So they can't tell him to shut up.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_02]: They can't tell him to stop looking somewhere.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to be ridiculous.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: But he's like, she's saying this about him.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_02]: And he's going to the people that he has the strongest relationships with and be like, really?
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: really, like looking at them to be like, you're still on side, right?
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: Kakakakakakah.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: He's still got them.
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: And he's getting, he's getting confirmations before she's even done on her soapbox, but they're not weren't, he's isn't working on them.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: He's just, so he's not missing his other dagger.
- 44:00[SPEAKER_02]: He's simultaneously my god.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_02]: This is what it felt like the first time I took my ADHD medication.
- 44:06[SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I can do more than one thing at one time.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_02]: I can do both of these things.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: They've just carried stuff in the house and was able to talk to you.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_02]: It's amazing.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like, it's baffling to me.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: And so he does this, she's gone.
- 44:25[SPEAKER_02]: We go to the turret and Jordan, as we're walking out as we go from the lobby and make that walk down the hall on people are parting ways.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_02]: that all of the people are coming to Rob and be like, I can't even believe she went for you like that.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, I don't know.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_02]: And dude, we are hearing them.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_02]: Production is just like, licking off the sauce of their fingers.
- 44:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's serious.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_02]: And every room, there are two or three people without Rob that are bringing up like how they're on Rob's side for Rob.
- 44:52[SPEAKER_02]: They can't be right.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way it's Rob.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_02]: So we go up to the turret.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: Rob gets to the turret.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_02]: Alan comes in.
- 45:00[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like Allen, if he's ever had to hold back, is having the hold back, it'd be like, it's right in the front of me.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty good at this, my God.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_02]: But he gives Rob the option.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, it's not an option.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_02]: He has to pick.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's not an option.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_02]: He has to.
- 45:16[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, they're going to get the letter.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: You are banished or you're a traitor now.
- 45:24[SPEAKER_02]: And hearing Rob talk.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: You go ahead.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_02]: He has to recruit.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: He does.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 45:29[SPEAKER_02]: There can't be one trade.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_02]: I'm saying what their options are.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: As they get odd.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think they know they can't take it.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_03]: I understand that they're afraid to run out of traders.
- 45:40[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like the nine of you win kind of thing, you know?
- 45:43[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_03]: I get that that's odd.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_03]: But there is a part of me that wishes.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_04]: I think it's a ratio thing where it's like there must be this many traders per this many faithful left in the game.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_04]: Do we find out who is picked?
- 45:55[SPEAKER_02]: Well, and here's the, yes, and it doesn't find, and we don't have, so we don't have, you want to guess?
- 46:01[SPEAKER_02]: I do want to guess.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_02]: Can I, can, do you want to guess after I tell you the three people he brings up?
- 46:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sure.
- 46:07[UNKNOWN]: Okay.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_02]: He has a moment, Alan is top, Rob doesn't feel surprised, right?
- 46:12[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that they have heard, here are the per, per the rules.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: If it gets down to this with this many, there's this many, whatever.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_02]: And if the faithfuls remember this or not, you know,
- 46:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's too bad for them, but he starts to bring people up to a new hear his process.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_02]: Either he thought of all this on the walk up to the turret or Rob thought about this week too.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know either right.
- 46:36[SPEAKER_02]: He's brilliant.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_02]: There's so many things that he's done.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_02]: I can't remember the last time that we're going to get close to whether he wins or not.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_02]: You could be in a circle of people who meticulously watch this show and everyone has a favorite moment.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_02]: The moment where he guessed the dad, he took the dagger from Natalie, the moment he played chess with Ron and Lisa, all these crazy things that he's done.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, so he's starting to go through everybody.
- 46:59[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, I couldn't pick Mark.
- 47:04[SPEAKER_02]: because he's on my side.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_02]: He wouldn't be someone that they put someone who would believe in.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_03]: Wait, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_03]: Before you, before you list, I do just want to guess what I would do if I was him.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, I do want to hear what he wants.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_03]: But here's the thing.
- 47:15[SPEAKER_03]: I do think Mark is an incredible choice if you want a partner.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_03]: I think Mark is an amazing choice.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_03]: If you want to say to what he says, partner, but if you want to continue to set yourself up for success, you pick Natalie and then you ensure that they give her up.
- 47:32[SPEAKER_02]: So he basically did something like this, but it wasn't Natalie, it was Johnny.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, because Javier with a side is can't say no.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because he's too faithful.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_03]: Exactly.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: You get a free banishment anyway.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_02]: I basically, I think that's what Rob says.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_02]: Because he's like, Johnny was such a stand for Candace.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_02]: Remembering what he said as that, the most heart pulling, you know, heart fliggling with Candace this whole time and then he's the final vote to be like Candace.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_04]: I'm basically, I have to do this to you.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_02]: Basically, Rob is holding in each hand.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_02]: What is my easiest way to win by myself?
- 48:07[SPEAKER_02]: And what's the easiest way to win with a partner?
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_02]: Johnny equals by myself, Mark and Eric equal partner.
- 48:15[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_03]: Eric's, because he was like, nothing has shown me that Eric is particularly good at lying in a way that I feel like Mark could be.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_04]: which makes him not a liability, because Eric will never figure out how to give up Rob if we make him a trader.
- 48:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think he's also feels like the, yeah, antithesis to the threat of Candace.
- 48:37[SPEAKER_02]: If you get on Eric's bad side, what does he, he'll just look ridiculous.
- 48:40[SPEAKER_02]: He's not good at the game, you know?
- 48:42[SPEAKER_02]: He's not going to invite you to be in two tree hill.
- 48:44[SPEAKER_02]: We have, share, share, share, share with them.
- 48:48[SPEAKER_02]: Steven tree hill, that was Steven.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_04]: I did mean Steven, that was Steven.
- 48:53[SPEAKER_02]: Two, three, he was great.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_02]: So Eric walks in, oh my God.
- 48:58[SPEAKER_02]: He's got the letter on the chair.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: I cannot.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, he thinks he does go with Eric.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, no Johnny.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_02]: Now he goes with Eric.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: You just go with Eric.
- 49:07[SPEAKER_02]: He goes with Eric, you're right, you're right.
- 49:09[SPEAKER_02]: He's like, I cannot believe I'm getting murdered.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_02]: Opens it up.
- 49:13[SPEAKER_02]: He's got the option.
- 49:14[SPEAKER_02]: And he was like, now I know.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_02]: See this handwriting pointing to Eric.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: He's like pointing to his name.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_02]: Now I know who it is, Johnny.
- 49:25[SPEAKER_02]: And he's like, Johnny.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_02]: And we're hearing him being like, I will die a faithful.
- 49:32[SPEAKER_02]: Interesting.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_02]: And but then his amount, he's like, but can I actually win this as a trader?
- 49:38[SPEAKER_02]: And he's walking down the stairs and he's being so like, oh, some walking.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_02]: Because they're making them go to the like, the reveal is at the beautiful staircase outside where we had like our, oh, yeah, we're a trader where they all meet for the first time with all the big, yeah, the, like, and he's in the torches.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_02]: And so he's coming down at night, Eric's walking down.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_02]: and comes across Johnny Johnny Johnny and he's like waiting to see this M.F.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_02]: Rob, here's how it is.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_02]: It's Rob, and you see Eric, no lie, go.
- 50:11[UNKNOWN]: Look at this.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, like, like, like, kermit guys.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, okay, okay, okay, okay.
- 50:16[SPEAKER_02]: Like, just loses his mind.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: And it just cuts to credits right there during it was so good.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_04]: When I tell you, when I tell you like to change one of the best episodes of Reality Television.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, what a show.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_04]: Like I can't, this is, there are no more than nine episodes better of Reality Television than this that I have ever seen.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_04]: This is easily one of the ten best reality TV shows I've ever seen.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if he wins, by himself or not, if Rob wins, I will be devastated if he doesn't.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: I will too.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_02]: If he does, I cannot, you know what's so funny too is, so now half of my algorithm, right?
- 51:05[SPEAKER_02]: So pissed at Rob, but you know what else housewives do?
- 51:09[SPEAKER_02]: They don't stop watching.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_02]: No, you're gonna watch now to see him get skewered.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody can say this.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_02]: People watch.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_02]: If you're against him,
- 51:18[SPEAKER_03]: for the see you've come down for the way that housewives are able to hold grudges which does make amazing TV.
- 51:25[SPEAKER_03]: I've noticed that competitively because they're so used to being forced to hang out with the people that they be with because that's part of their show.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_03]: They're also so good at in traders specifically being like, you know what, respect.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, totally.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_03]: They really are.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_03]: And Candace basically did that, too.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_03]: I like her and her and Lisa talk about like, Rob's pretty awesome.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we will say that.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_03]: Like he's pretty awesome.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's just a grief.
- 51:54[SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, it is, that's where we are.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_04]: Week over week, he continues to prove that he is like,
- 51:59[SPEAKER_04]: redefining the meta of how to play as a trader.
- 52:02[SPEAKER_03]: That's what you want in every season of any show ever as you want somebody who has cracked the code in a new way.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_04]: It's like watching the Olympics, like I'm just amazed at how easy it seems for him.
- 52:13[SPEAKER_04]: It is like watching Surrey win in season one, right, where it's just like nobody really stood a chance.
- 52:18[SPEAKER_04]: There's a similar one for couch.
- 52:19[SPEAKER_03]: People refer to Seri in reality TV circles.
- 52:22[SPEAKER_03]: They refer to what she does to people as a mist.
- 52:24[SPEAKER_03]: She has this mist that she, like Indian people in, that just, they can't, they can't see her.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_03]: She has this way of like, people just arena look her.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_04]: They just John Serina.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_04]: They just like, they can't see her.
- 52:37[SPEAKER_04]: You can't see her.
- 52:38[SPEAKER_04]: No, I got it.
- 52:39[SPEAKER_04]: They over, they John look, no, yeah, I got it.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_03]: And then they have this way of like,
- 52:45[SPEAKER_03]: In conversations about who's a big threat, it should obviously be sorry.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody has seen her play so many things and no, she's a threat that you should never talk about her.
- 52:51[SPEAKER_03]: And it seems like in one season, Rob has, I think you missed out.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that or it's a scent.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: Rob is the, the car's very moody of the pie.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_03]: Take what's your nose.
- 53:07[SPEAKER_03]: It's pretty not surprised me to find that Rob smells like,
- 53:12[SPEAKER_03]: sandalwood like yeah that robsmills like sandalwood and a conflict's fiasculation that when you smell rob you're like I'm mad at him that man though it's okay though it's a good guy and we have to use fair amount yeah he's a good boy
- 53:32[SPEAKER_03]: Man, okay.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, probably when we hang up this call going to immediately go watch the back half of this.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_03]: So pretty excited.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_03]: Please, please, please.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_04]: I don't, I don't have to convince you to watch this.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, you're just going to have this thing.
- 53:43[SPEAKER_04]: If somehow you've listened to this whole back half of the show where we explained scene by scene, the latest episode of the traders and you've never seen this show, please watch season four.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_03]: This season you should undefinedly watch season.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_03]: I feel very confident saying almost everybody would like this season of this show.
- 53:59[SPEAKER_02]: I think if I was trying to universally describe Rob to somebody, I'd be like, I don't know, it's like if Elvis was good with animals, like, what was that?
- 54:09[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like, yeah, however you're not, even if you don't like him, it's like a giant plate of luck.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_02]: He does, it's like a, it's like a, maybe a covetous hate?
- 54:24[SPEAKER_02]: Mmm, yeah sure.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_03]: No, I would not want to stand next to this man.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_03]: No, I would not want to stand next to them.
- 54:31[SPEAKER_02]: You don't have the height.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even have the height.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_04]: I would just do the only guy in my camera feed right now.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_04]: And it's like, we're at, I mean, six, seven out of 10.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_02]: But if Rob was here, yeah, three, it would be the first time anyone guessed I was a professor.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_02]: Probably teaches.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_03]: I got a little bit of shooting for tenure.
- 54:51[SPEAKER_04]: You have the telltale slump of academia, my friend.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_03]: LAUGHTER Who are these soft guys?
- 55:00[SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_03]: Well, okay, to in today's episode, I'd like for you just to give our name and what our date with Rob would be if we were court ordered to spend an evening with him, what would we do with Rob and I know my answer certainly.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, for two chunks in a hunk.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Jordan and we're going I don't even like museums, but we're going to a museum because I feel like hearing Rob talk about art would just make me enjoy art more not that you've not the nose about it.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_03]: No, not at all.
- 55:32[SPEAKER_03]: That's why I think I would enjoy it.
- 55:33[SPEAKER_03]: I think I would enjoy hearing his thoughts about it not the facts about it.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_03]: I think I would enjoy hearing Robby like this.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 55:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_03]: This will make me feel like this.
- 55:40[SPEAKER_03]: Then we're getting Frojo.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_03]: He seems like a Frojo guy.
- 55:43[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not a Frojo guy.
- 55:44[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going because he seems to probably like it.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_03]: Uh, and I just want to hear stories about his job.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I want to do at Frojo.
- 55:51[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 55:52[SPEAKER_03]: And we're ending the night.
- 55:54[SPEAKER_03]: Um, again, not really my favorite, but we're ending the night.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_03]: Scotch and cigars.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_03]: And it's because it feels like that's something he would do.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_03]: And I'm just trying to get like him on this date.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_03]: I'm trying to absorb the Rob I can and turn it into me.
- 56:07[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_03]: Easy.
- 56:09[SPEAKER_04]: I'm Doge Winter Olympics.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_04]: We're gonna watch it to show you from Milan.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_04]: We're gonna be there.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_04]: And we're gonna be outside where it's very cold so that we both have to wear big puffy jackets.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_04]: Nobody can see your body layers, obscuring our forms.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_04]: And everybody walking past me, like look at those two tall men.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_04]: and I will say, yes, I am also told like Rob, we are the same in every way.
- 56:34[SPEAKER_03]: By the way, speaking of Olympics, U.S. women's hockey is thrilling to watch.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_03]: If you're looking for something to watch, they are so much fun.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_02]: They're very good.
- 56:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm Carter and
- 56:45[SPEAKER_02]: Rob does seem to be a bit of a sponge and so I think one of the best things for him would be to give him the opportunity to have me dive into his expertise and then him do mine.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_02]: So I do think it starts with, I think he could help break fears.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think he could help.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_02]: I want to use him to be like the retreat that helps you have a new tool to help calm your anxiety kind of thing.
- 57:13[SPEAKER_02]: Like for the rest of your life.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_01]: Sure.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_02]: So let's go.
- 57:16[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do it.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: Freaking.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go snake wrangle brawl.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go with you.
- 57:19[SPEAKER_02]: Show me.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_02]: You talk me through this if there's anybody in the world that's going to do it.
- 57:24[SPEAKER_02]: And you know what worst case scenario?
- 57:26[SPEAKER_02]: If I get a bite that's going to kill me, I don't mind not being the last thing I look at.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_02]: Here is his words being my final that I hear that's fine.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then, too, on to be honest, I want to take him to class with me.
- 57:38[SPEAKER_02]: I want him to sit in on me teaching persuasion, and it's good.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, go through some of that.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_02]: One, to hear his opinions, and two, if I could be the person that sparked something that he's like, I'm going to use that someday.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like, if I get to be, I don't know if they're off for.
- 57:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 58:00[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing better.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_04]: You could like Robin Williams, Matt Damon him, because he has this raw communication talent.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.
- 58:08[SPEAKER_04]: That just means he was promised exactly.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_02]: Dude, he comes in and he's doing like the, he goes in and he changed the, the grammar on seeing what.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_02]: Who did this?
- 58:21[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my, no one's been able to solve this syntax for generations.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_04]: That sentence was unfixable.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_04]: It's a very common sentence.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_04]: The board has said the dog got outside, and we don't know what it's supposed to say.
- 58:35[SPEAKER_03]: Who did this?
- 58:39[SPEAKER_03]: Goat.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_03]: Robbs in the back catching a snake.
