- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome to Mediumship Sparks, a place for people who want
- 0:02Speaker 1: to create the spiritual life they actually want to live in. Together,
- 0:06Speaker 1: we're going to explore the many ways we're invited into
- 0:08Speaker 1: greater awareness, deeper healing, and self-trust. The insights, ideas, experiences
- 0:13Speaker 1: shared here are offered to spark curiosity and invite a
- 0:17Speaker 1: deeper exploration of what's unfolding within and around you. May
- 0:21Speaker 1: these conversations help you discover what feels deeply, quietly true
- 0:25Speaker 1: for you. I'm Noelle Dean, intuitive medium and licensed marriage
- 0:29Speaker 1: and family therapist. Quick note before we begin, the podcast
- 0:32Speaker 1: is for educational purposes only and provides general information. It's
- 0:36Speaker 1: not medical or psychological advice and not a substitute for
- 0:39Speaker 1: care from a licensed health professional. Now let's dive in.
- 0:44Speaker 1: There's a type of reading that I'm just starting to
- 0:46Speaker 1: get into and I'm calling it Bridging the Gap. The
- 0:51Speaker 1: idea is to work with someone who wants to feel
- 0:56Speaker 1: more connected with their loved one on the other side
- 0:58Speaker 1: of the veil and helping facilitate the process of them
- 1:02Speaker 1: figuring out how exactly can they do that. When I
- 1:07Speaker 1: was fluffing around with all of this years ago, I
- 1:10Speaker 1: used to get a lot of song clips. So Claire
- 1:13Speaker 1: audience was my strongest Claire and it's occurring to me.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Maybe that was the most easily accessible for people in
- 1:21Speaker 1: spirit to reach me. Having songs come in, was this
- 1:27Speaker 1: sort of gently passive way to receive information. I didn't
- 1:30Speaker 1: always receive it as information. And sometimes it was just
- 1:34Speaker 1: an earworm. You hear a song and it just repeats
- 1:37Speaker 1: in your head. Sometimes I would get a clip of
- 1:41Speaker 1: this song, a clip of that song, the title of
- 1:43Speaker 1: this song, part of the chorus of that song, and
- 1:46Speaker 1: it would compile into a message. When I was being
- 1:50Speaker 1: trained in medical intuition, it was firmly encouraged to only
- 1:58Speaker 1: use clairvoyance, our ability to see in our mind's eye,
- 2:03Speaker 1: because it was the most neutral. We maybe wouldn't carry
- 2:09Speaker 1: the energy of what we picked up on because we
- 2:12Speaker 1: were just seeing it. I don't have an opinion on
- 2:16Speaker 1: if it really is the most neutral. I really don't know.
- 2:20Speaker 1: But I could see the value of it when I
- 2:22Speaker 1: was being taught that. But part of the issue for
- 2:25Speaker 1: me at that time was like, oh crap, I don't
- 2:28Speaker 1: really use that very much or I don't know how
- 2:31Speaker 1: much access I have to that. Where does that leave me?
- 2:34Speaker 1: And I had to say when we were practicing to
- 2:38Speaker 1: my guides or whoever was listening, can you please show me,
- 2:41Speaker 1: please show me. And lo and behold, at some point
- 2:46Speaker 1: that the skill of clairvoyance became a much stronger one
- 2:51Speaker 1: than it was. I wouldn't have known how to strengthen
- 2:55Speaker 1: it if you had asked me. But I am aware
- 2:59Speaker 1: that as we continue to practice using our intuition and
- 3:05Speaker 1: turning up the volume into mediumship, I see those skills
- 3:11Speaker 1: as intertwined. And as you turn up your intuition, you
- 3:14Speaker 1: can tune more into what is more subtle, usually, which
- 3:19Speaker 1: is mediumship, communication from the other side. but it's also communication,
- 3:24Speaker 1: not only from the other side. I look at it
- 3:27Speaker 1: like it's us interacting with energy. My friend's wife who
- 3:31Speaker 1: has stage five dementia, I call it mediumship. I'm sure
- 3:35Speaker 1: somebody else would call that telepathy. It's communication. Using the
- 3:39Speaker 1: different senses can give us different types of information. Some
- 3:42Speaker 1: are stronger, some we're more comfortable with using, and some
- 3:45Speaker 1: maybe we're not. What I really wanted to focus on
- 3:48Speaker 1: about all of that is to look at the idea,
- 3:51Speaker 1: maybe a little bit deeper of how you might be
- 3:55Speaker 1: growing your clairs or growing your awareness, your sensitivity to things.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It may or may not be a conscious process. There
- 4:05Speaker 1: are times when I've noticed I get a glimmer into
- 4:08Speaker 1: something different, picking up on something differently or a different
- 4:13Speaker 1: kind of information. And it feels like we get this
- 4:17Speaker 1: heads up, like, hey, what do you think about this?
- 4:21Speaker 1: Maybe you're like, oh, wow, that is so cool. And
- 4:24Speaker 1: you're sparked into wanting to draw more of that towards
- 4:28Speaker 1: you or going more towards that. And then you would
- 4:33Speaker 1: develop that more. Or maybe it was a cool idea,
- 4:36Speaker 1: but I'm good. And you don't look to develop it.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Some of that really is a conscious process. And some
- 4:43Speaker 1: of it feels like it's just part of our natural
- 4:46Speaker 1: growth as we keep honing our skills and developing ourselves.
- 4:50Speaker 1: Like practicing piano, you'll only get faster and more competent
- 4:54Speaker 1: at it as you do it if you challenge yourself.
- 4:57Speaker 1: If you only play the same songs, then there you are.
- 5:01Speaker 1: But if you keep looking to grow your ability... then
- 5:05Speaker 1: you're only going to get better. Those that support us,
- 5:08Speaker 1: our ancestors and guides and our spirit teams really do
- 5:12Speaker 1: hear our thoughts and feelings and intentions and look to
- 5:16Speaker 1: support us with that. Maybe it would be worth taking
- 5:20Speaker 1: a couple of moments to really sit with yourself and
- 5:23Speaker 1: notice ways that the universe communicates with you. If you
- 5:28Speaker 1: sat and made a list, you might surprise yourself because
- 5:31Speaker 1: it might be way longer than Then you think of
- 5:33Speaker 1: your clairs from the head down, sensing things or seeing
- 5:38Speaker 1: things in your mind's eye or your actual eye, smelling things,
- 5:42Speaker 1: tasting things, hearing things, feeling things in your body, sensing
- 5:46Speaker 1: them around your body. Dreams are a big one. There's
- 5:52Speaker 1: lots of other ways. There's also divination tools like tarot
- 5:56Speaker 1: or dowsing, and the list can go on and on.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Synchronicities are also part of signals or signs. Just as
- 6:05Speaker 1: I'm saying that, I'm like, yeah, I should do that too.
- 6:08Speaker 1: From a leftover consequence of chemotherapy, I have an extremely
- 6:14Speaker 1: dull sense of taste and smell. And every once in
- 6:17Speaker 1: a blue moon, I'll smell something. And it's such a treat.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Even if I can't really distinguish what the smell is,
- 6:27Speaker 1: that I actually smell something is the big deal to me.
- 6:31Speaker 1: If I smelled things more often, that would be something
- 6:35Speaker 1: I would notice. And I would like that when I'm
- 6:37Speaker 1: doing a meditation or a reading, I could ask, hey,
- 6:43Speaker 1: can you give me a smell that would be indicative
- 6:45Speaker 1: of something that would be helpful here and see if
- 6:49Speaker 1: I get something. And that's all I mean, not like
- 6:53Speaker 1: a big production, but sometimes just the awareness of things
- 6:56Speaker 1: can bring in so much information that we take for
- 6:59Speaker 1: granted because we're busy and distracted doing other things. I'm
- 7:02Speaker 1: bringing this up because like people who are going to
- 7:05Speaker 1: be engaging in the bridging the gap sessions, it might
- 7:10Speaker 1: be nice to have more awareness of how people are
- 7:14Speaker 1: communicating with us or how they can communicate with us.
- 7:18Speaker 1: And then we start paying more attention that way. Maybe
- 7:20Speaker 1: you're also the person who has different songs in their
- 7:23Speaker 1: head every morning or throughout the day. It's playing in
- 7:27Speaker 1: the background. You can barely hear it. You notice something's happening,
- 7:30Speaker 1: but you're not quite sure. But maybe if you're like,
- 7:34Speaker 1: let me see how people really are communicating with me.
- 7:37Speaker 1: Maybe you'll tune more into those songs. Maybe you'll write
- 7:42Speaker 1: them down when they show up and then look back
- 7:45Speaker 1: on it later and see, was there some pattern or
- 7:50Speaker 1: some reason for that song, those words from that song,
- 7:54Speaker 1: the era that song comes from, the group that sang
- 7:57Speaker 1: that song. Maybe you'll realize, oh my goodness, I forgot
- 8:01Speaker 1: that was my favorite group or that song so captured
- 8:05Speaker 1: something at this moment. One time I heard a song
- 8:08Speaker 1: in my head that I don't know I ever heard before.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You can Google lyrics and put in whatever little clip
- 8:15Speaker 1: of the song you're getting and it will bring up
- 8:18Speaker 1: the song and usually the original artist who sang it,
- 8:22Speaker 1: which is helpful. But this is all part of that
- 8:26Speaker 1: engagement piece of nurturing, bringing awareness and love and enthusiasm
- 8:34Speaker 1: to these ways that we're communicated with. So maybe sit
- 8:39Speaker 1: with each sense and sit with, say a year ago,
- 8:45Speaker 1: when I really started paying more attention, What could I
- 8:48Speaker 1: experience then? And maybe notice now how you've already been
- 8:53Speaker 1: growing those just by pouring some love or attention in
- 8:57Speaker 1: that area, asking your spiritual team to come in close
- 9:02Speaker 1: and find these ways to communicate with you and how
- 9:04Speaker 1: they're being successful at it, as are you by noticing.
- 9:08Speaker 1: It's not like, here's your homework, do this and this
- 9:12Speaker 1: will improve it. What feels right to say is the
- 9:16Speaker 1: trusting yourself in this, the asking of your people and
- 9:20Speaker 1: of your own higher self to continue to develop. And
- 9:25Speaker 1: your job is really to observe and move forward. Maybe
- 9:30Speaker 1: for now, that's enough. That would be great. I occasionally
- 9:36Speaker 1: teach a beginner's mediumship class. It's a 12-week class. We
- 9:42Speaker 1: cover all of the clairs. And a lot of awareness
- 9:47Speaker 1: is encouraged. I'm putting together my next class. I'm looking
- 9:50Speaker 1: to start sometime soon. If you're interested, please shoot me
- 9:54Speaker 1: an email. I didn't bring this other stuff up for that,
- 9:57Speaker 1: but I just feel like I'm supposed to say it because...
- 10:01Speaker 1: it might support you. I also completely believe this could
- 10:05Speaker 1: be a very self-guided process with your spiritual team and
- 10:10Speaker 1: you don't need a class. You just need to spend
- 10:13Speaker 1: some time on it and be open. And that's good enough.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I asked before I started recording, what steps should I encourage?
- 10:24Speaker 1: And I got assess what you can do. Notice when
- 10:30Speaker 1: things are happening. Track, keep track of those things so
- 10:32Speaker 1: you can see the progress. And then practice slash exercise
- 10:36Speaker 1: slash ask the universe and yourself to bring things forward
- 10:41Speaker 1: and then enjoy with an exclamation mark. And I stand
- 10:46Speaker 1: by that. Yeah, there are times when mediumship feels very
- 10:53Speaker 1: surreal and times when it just seems oh so real.
- 10:57Speaker 1: It's just so clear what's happening in this moment. Empowering
- 11:01Speaker 1: ourselves to be more connected in ways that feel rewarding
- 11:05Speaker 1: to us and communicating with people that we love, that
- 11:11Speaker 1: we know deep in our hearts are watching out for
- 11:14Speaker 1: us and watching over us because they love us and
- 11:17Speaker 1: want to see us succeed. That's such a beautiful part
- 11:20Speaker 1: of this life. I really wish for you that you
- 11:25Speaker 1: have whatever level of connection you really want, that you
- 11:30Speaker 1: find rewarding and fulfilling and helps you guide your life
- 11:34Speaker 1: in the ways that feel right to you and not intrusive,
- 11:39Speaker 1: but not standoffish. Just right. Yeah. If you're interested in
- 11:46Speaker 1: the class, I have more information about that on my website.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Reach out if you have any questions. If there's something
- 11:52Speaker 1: in particular you would like for us to address, the
- 11:55Speaker 1: team and I together on the podcast, please email me.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I would love to hear whatever that is. I hope
- 12:02Speaker 1: you're doing well with all the things that you're up to.
- 12:06Speaker 1: And I wish you only the best. Thank you so
- 12:08Speaker 1: much for being with us today. If you'd like support
- 12:11Speaker 1: as you continue your own exploring, you can find information
- 12:14Speaker 1: about my classes, readings, and other offerings at connectingwithnoelle.com. If
- 12:20Speaker 1: today's conversation made you think of someone, I'd love it
- 12:23Speaker 1: if you would share this with them. Take good care,
- 12:26Speaker 1: and I look forward to being with you again soon.
