rooted in scripture and relevant for today, March 13th.

Building a life that Lasts A lot of people want a life that looks
• 0:15
impressive, but deep down what we really need is a life that
• 0:18
lasts. A life that does not collapse
• 0:21
when pressure comes. A life that is not held together
• 0:24
by popularity, appearance, money, or approval.
• 0:28
A life built on wisdom, integrity, and compassion.
• 0:32
That kind of life does not always get instant attention,
• 0:35
but it carries eternal value. Proverbs chapter 12, verses 7 to
• 0:40
8 says The House of the wicked will be overthrown, but the tent
• 0:44
of the upright will flourish. A man is commended according to
• 0:48
his prudence. That tells us that what is built
• 0:51
on crooked foundations will not stand forever, but the life of
• 0:56
the upright, even if it seems small in the eyes of the world,
• 0:59
  is established by something stronger.
• 1:02
Then Job chapter 28 asks where shall wisdom be found and shows
• 1:07
us that God alone fully understands it.
• 1:10
He set limits to the waters, made channels for the rain, and
• 1:13
  ordered creation with perfect understanding.
• 1:16
Wisdom is not just intelligence, it is seeing life through God's
• 1:19
truth. And Job chapter 29, verses 12 to
• 1:24
13 gives us a picture of what that wisdom looks like in
• 1:27
action. Helping the poor, defending the
• 1:29
fatherless, and bringing joy to the hurting.
• 1:33
That is the kind of life that leaves a mark.
• 1:35
Not just achieving things, but blessing people.
• 1:38
Not just getting ahead, but lifting others.
• 1:40
Not just knowing facts, but living faithfully in a world
• 1:44
that pushes convenience. God calls us to character in a
• 1:48
culture that prizes image, God values integrity.
• 1:52
In moments where you are tempted to take shortcuts, ignore people
• 1:56
in need, or focus only on yourself, remember that true
• 1:59
success is not measured by applause.
• 2:02
It is measured by faithfulness. A life that lasts is built one
• 2:06
decision at a time. Every honest choice, every act
• 2:10
of compassion, every prayer for wisdom, every step of obedience
• 2:14
matters. God sees it all, and He uses it
• 2:18
to build something beautiful in you.
• 2:20
You do not have to know everything about the future to
• 2:22
live well today. You only need to keep seeking
• 2:25
the God who holds wisdom in His hands.
• 2:28
Let's pray. Heavenly Father, thank you for
• 2:30
showing me what truly matters, building me a life rooted in
• 2:35
  wisdom, integrity, and compassion.
• 2:37
Help me to choose what is right over what is easy and to care
• 2:40
for people the way you do. Guide my steps so that my life
• 2:44
will honor you and leave a lasting blessing on others in
• 2:48
Jesus name, Amen. What if the most important
• 2:51
question in your life deserves more than a shallow answer?
• 2:54

Now I invite you to spend time with God in today's three-year
• 4:14
Bible reading plan. Proverbs chapter 12 verses 7 to
• 4:18
8 World English Bible The wicked are overthrown and are no more,
• 4:23
but the House of the righteous shall stand.
• 4:26
A man shall be commended according to his wisdom, but he
• 4:29
who has a warped mind shall be despised.
• 4:31
Job Chapters 28 to 29 World English Bible.
• 4:35
Surely there is a mine for silver and a place for gold,
• 4:38
which they refine. Iron is taken out of the earth,
• 4:41
and copper is smelted out of the ore.
• 4:44
Man sets an end to darkness and searches out to the furthest
• 4:47
bound, the stones of obscurity and a thick darkness.
• 4:51
He breaks open a shaft away from where people live.
• 4:54
They are forgotten by the foot. They hang far from men.
• 4:56
They swing back and forth. As for the earth, out of it
• 4:59
comes bread. Underneath it is turned up, as
• 5:02
it were, by fire. Sapphires come from its rocks.
• 5:05
It has dust of gold, That path no bird of prey knows.
• 5:09
Neither has the falcon's eye seen it.
• 5:11
The proud animals have not trodden it, nor has the fierce
• 5:14
lion passed by there. He puts his hand on the flinty
• 5:17
rock, and he overturns the mountains by the roots.
• 5:20
He cuts out channels among the rocks.
• 5:22
His eye sees every precious thing he binds the streams that
• 5:25
they don't trickle. The thing that is hidden he
• 5:28
brings out to light. But where will wisdom be found?
• 5:31
Where is the place of understanding?
• 5:33
Man doesn't know its price, and it isn't found in the land of
• 5:36
the living. The deep says it isn't in me.
• 5:39
The sea says it isn't with me. It can't be gotten for gold,
• 5:43
neither will silver be weighed for its price.
• 5:45
It can't be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious Onyx
• 5:48
or the sapphire. Gold and glass can't equal it.
• 5:51
Neither will it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.
• 5:55
No mention will be made of coral or of crystal.
• 5:58
Yes, the price of wisdom is above rubies.
• 6:01
The Topaz of Ethiopia will not equal it.
• 6:03
It won't be valued with pure gold.
• 6:05
Where then does wisdom come from?
• 6:07
Where is the place of understanding Seeing it is
• 6:10
hidden from the eyes of all living and kept close from the
• 6:12
birds of the sky. Destruction and death say we
• 6:16
have heard a rumor of it with our ears.
• 6:18
God understands its way and He knows its place, For He looks to
• 6:22
the ends of the earth and sees under the whole sky.
• 6:24
He establishes the force of the wind, yes, He measures out the
• 6:28
waters by measure. When he made a decree for the
• 6:31
rain, and away for the lightning of the Thunder, then he saw it
• 6:34
and declared it. He established it, yes, and
• 6:36
searched it out to man. He said, Behold, the fear of the
• 6:40
  Lord. That is wisdom.
• 6:41
To depart from evil is understanding.
• 6:44
Job again took up his parable, and said, Oh, that I were as in
• 6:47
the months of old as in the days when God watched over me, when
• 6:51
his lamp shone on my head, and by His light I walked through
• 6:54
darkness As I was in my prime. When the friendship of God was
• 6:58
in my tent, When the Almighty was yet with me and my children
• 7:01
were around me. When my steps were washed with
• 7:03
butter and the rock poured out streams of oil for me.
• 7:07
When I went out to the city gate, when I prepared my seat in
• 7:09
the street, the young men saw me and hid themselves.
• 7:13
The aged rose up and stood. The Princess refrained from
• 7:16
talking and laid their hand on their mouth.
• 7:19
The voice of the nobles was hushed, and their tongue stuck
• 7:21
to the roof of their mouth. For when the ear heard me, then
• 7:24
it blessed me, and when the eye saw me it commended me, because
• 7:28
I delivered the poor who cried, and the fatherless also, who had
• 7:31
no one to help him. The blessing of him who was
• 7:34
ready to perish came on me, and I caused the widow's heart to
• 7:37
sing for joy. I put on righteousness, and it
• 7:40
clothed me. My justice was as a robe and a
• 7:43
diadem. I was eyes to the blind and feet
• 7:45
to the lame. I was a father to the needy.
• 7:48
I researched the cause of him whom I didn't know.
• 7:50
I broke the jaws of the unrighteous and plucked the prey
• 7:53
out of his teeth. Then I said, I will die in my
• 7:56
own house. I will count my days as the
• 7:58
sand. My root is spread out to the
• 8:00
waters. The dew lies all night on my
• 8:03
branch. My glory is fresh in me.
• 8:05
My bow is renewed in my hand. Men listened to me, waited and
• 8:09
kept silence for my counsel. After my words, they didn't
• 8:12
speak again. My speech fell on them.
• 8:14
They waited for me. As for the rain, their mouths
• 8:17
drank. As with the spring rain, I
• 8:19
smiled on them when they had no confidence.
• 8:22
They didn't reject the light of my face.
• 8:24
I chose out their way and sat as chief.
• 8:26
I lived as a king in the army, as one who comforts the
• 8:29
mourners. Thanks for joining us on Bible
