- 0:24What are we here for? What do you truly want?
- 0:32When change is not enough, what do you do?
- 0:44Let's talk about it. The Proms we face.
- 0:48Let's fight hatred. No down ways the mind is naked.
- 0:54We can see it without an X-ray. Life is easy if we work
- 1:02together. We are the keepers, we are the
- 1:05people. We are all equal, fit with
- 1:07purpose. The past has pain, it'll drive
- 1:12you, even make you take aim. But together is where we should
- 1:18aim. Together is where we should.
- 1:25What are we here for? What do you truly want and
- 1:33change is not enough what you do?
- 2:25Hey, listen to the be forever cool podcast.

- 2:30What's going on, man? What's going on everyone?
- 2:34I'm excited to be back on the on the show cause we had world
- 2:40super bike that just started this past.
- 2:42We all just happened this past weekend.
- 2:43Excited to talk about that. We got Moto GP coming up in
- 2:46France. Le Mans Zarko was looking good.
- 2:50This better to pass round so excited to hear about what these
- 2:54guys think it what's going to happen this this round, how much
- 2:57the weather is going to play a part in it.
- 2:59But before we dive in the show, I want to thank all the

- 3:33code that you can scan and you know you can.
- 3:37The code is Rexy, so definitely use that.
- 3:39It helps grow the show as well, helps you as well, because it
- 3:42shows that you're in tune, you're engaged, you're locked in
- 3:47and you're getting the the skinny on some really, really
- 3:51cool and great racing parts because you know, the rear sets,
- 3:56their bar handles, you know, I mean the clip ONS, you know,
- 4:01helps if you crash a lot. You know what I'm saying?
- 4:03You know, having no having products that you can easily
- 4:06repair your bike in and get back out before you you miss another
- 4:10race or, you know, kill your day is is always good.
- 4:13So being able to connect with a manufacturer that also races
- 4:17that's in the game. They also teach as well as make
- 4:21race parts is pretty cool. Also check out Mark 10
- 4:26Motorsports as well mentioned Rexy 45 Would it be forever cool
- 4:31podcast Get hooked up get hooked up with some Pirelli race tires,
- 4:36especially in the Florida area. Again, all all, all purchases
- 4:41help grow the show and if you're enjoying what you're doing, what
- 4:46you're hearing, why we're enjoying what we're doing, it
- 4:49helps us even do more as you, you're going to be seen to be
- 4:52forever cool podcast at Moore Motor America rounds and stuff
- 4:56like that. All this stuff really helps grow
- 5:00and we have some cool things coming down the pipeline.
- 5:02Excited to chop it up with the guys.
- 5:04Enough of all the public service announcement stuff.
- 5:08Let's check in with the guys and see what they're doing.
- 5:11TJ, man, welcome to the show. How you doing tonight?
- 5:15I'm doing good, can't complain. No, all right, Celtics has come
- 5:20to an end. I know we always talk about
- 5:22sports leading up on my end, but now that's all over.
- 5:27So now I'm just diving to racing.
- 5:30I must say it is cool to watch a race weekend.
- 5:33It's all another race weekend so still a good that every weekend
- 5:37we can almost start watching racing so looking forward to it.
- 5:42You know, I normally would bring up the Celtics when they win or
- 5:46the Patriots or Boston team and I purposely didn't.
- 5:51And you know, since she brought it up.
- 5:54I have to say. I'm I'm I'm a little, I'm sure
- 5:58they're disappointed and I and I'm pretty sure no one is more
- 6:01disappointed than the players. Then the you know, fans can
- 6:04never be more disappointed than the players, right.
- 6:07But you know, your coach, just one coach of the year and you
- 6:11get you got the pretty much the best record in the East.
- 6:14If I don't know the stats, but either the best for one or two
- 6:17in the East and you get blown out in the first round, that's
- 6:23like let's say Glukovic losing the first round when he was
- 6:26young or Nadal or Alcarez. As far as tennis, you know, you
- 6:32know some of these boxes that you know, I can go on and name
- 6:35names I was. Going to say instead of being a
- 6:40Boston fan, you know, a lot of people hate us, but we got a lot
- 6:45of championships. And I mean, like we saw the
- 6:47Patriots go undefeated and losing the Super Bowl.
- 6:50So these these things do hurt. But you know, I know we'll be
- 6:53next year back next year. I know we didn't expect us to go
- 6:57this far because we didn't have Tatum to start the season and we
- 7:00started doing really well. So you know, that's what it is.
- 7:05I, I, I, I appreciate you talking about the rings and
- 7:08stuff that we have, but that's what Reese is going to say.
- 7:12You know, you're only as good as your last win.
- 7:14So I'm just saying. Hey, I have to say it all before
- 7:17he gets you pour each other so I know he's back there smiling.
- 7:21No doubt, no doubt. Reese, welcome to the show.
- 7:24It was good. It was good man.
- 7:27Yeah, you knew I was smiling. Hey Celtic loss Sixers had to
- 7:33take it. You know Philly at heart from
- 7:37Jersey so got to go with the home team.
- 7:41You know what the worst thing is?
- 7:43And I, I think you can appreciate this because you're a
- 7:46Philly fan, but you get, you get blown out by the Knicks, like 40
- 7:54something points. The Knicks.
- 7:58You know, that's I plead the 5th, I plead the 5th, but that
- 8:03one. You know, as, as a boss, I'm
- 8:05sitting here like and, and the Knicks, it's like, come on.
- 8:09And what, what what happened? You know, you know, it's, it's
- 8:12listen, you know, as you know, I don't have to tell you and, and
- 8:15I appreciate the humor at the highest level.
- 8:18All it takes is just, you know, 1 heartbeat off to change
- 8:22everything. So that's it.
- 8:24One heartbeat, 11, 10th of a second, anything is going to
- 8:28change. Everything, man.
- 8:30It's going to either you win or lose.
- 8:31That's it. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:32So you know, it is, it is, it is what it is.
- 8:35So what's good? You excited for all this racing
- 8:39that's happening and you heard DJ say it's nice to see this,
- 8:42you know, back-to-back weekend. I think last year we got spoiled
- 8:49with so much racing and you know, the having the guitar
- 8:52rounds can't can't reschedule really kind of show like man, we
- 8:57need lives because when it's still racing happening.
- 9:01We do. We need racing happening, man,
- 9:03because when it's nothing and boy, it's it's like winter.
- 9:05It's like stale. You're like, what the hell?
- 9:08Like it just feels like a decade of waiting and waiting and
- 9:11waiting and waiting. So it's nice to have racing back
- 9:14on, you know, from everybody, you know, it's ready to, it's
- 9:18kind of like almost ramping up season for everybody.
- 9:21It's kind of nice. No, definitely, definitely.
- 9:25I'm, I'm definitely excited about it.
- 9:26So let's jump into it. Bellerton Park, our second year
- 9:32in Hungary, the crowd looked a lot better.
- 9:37You know, they say it's the Bulaga show, but it it's I mean,
- 9:41it's it's his Toulouse. He's doing, he's doing really,
- 9:45doing really well. I mean, he's broken, you know,
- 9:48Top rocks record and everybody's record for most wins in a row.
- 9:51And he seems like he'll continue and stuff like that.
- 9:54But let's talk about just, you know, the, the weekend in
- 9:57general, because it is a tricky track.
- 9:59It's, it's one of the smaller tracks.
- 10:01I, I, you know, I don't know if you guys have been to Blackhawk
- 10:03or maybe even Jennings or, you know, a little Talladega.
- 10:08I think that's what they call it.
- 10:09You know, the, the Melaton Park is one of the smaller tracks.
- 10:13So we also saw some, you know, some mishaps.
- 10:17We'll talk about Oliveira. What were your thoughts, TJ
- 10:20overall on on the weekend? I mean, it was definitely a good
- 10:28show. I thought the the Super Bowl
- 10:31race was a dog fight. So I think that was a really
- 10:35good race. But overall, for the situation
- 10:38that happened, Buluga took advantage and now he's still
- 10:43killing it every round. Like as we said way back in
- 10:45time, that is going to be his show.
- 10:49But that is a very fast track. It is small, but it's a lot of
- 10:53heartbreaking as well. And yeah, there's there's a lot
- 10:56of fighting out there, even in the Super sport class, a lot of
- 11:00guys just bumping in, rubbing elbows and it's it was
- 11:05definitely a fight out there. But as far as the Super bikes,
- 11:08Buliga ran the show. Yeah, yeah, he he did.
- 11:13Man, for sure, Reese, man, what you thought of of of the weekend
- 11:17overall? And you know, it was a dog
- 11:20fight. I mean, I think even in the in
- 11:22the front race one too as well, you know, I think they're
- 11:26they're top, they're top the top, the bottom 2 to 810 riders
- 11:33are really, really trying to fight for that third place,
- 11:36right? I mean, there's, there's a good
- 11:38amount of riders as that that's seen that third place trying to
- 11:40fight for that third place. What are your thoughts man?
- 11:43I mean, overall it was a good race.
- 11:45I caught the replay or, you know, race 1:00 and 2:00.
- 11:49So I, I believe it was a hell of a race for everybody.
- 11:52I mean, of course, like you said, it is a, it is Bulligas,
- 11:56Toulouse. So I mean he has done very well,
- 11:59very exceptional. So I mean the Ducati's look
- 12:03very, very strong. I mean, I think they were like
- 12:05top four or top three. So they do look very, very
- 12:08strong. You know, come race 2, you know,
- 12:14I told him I would do this for him.
- 12:15And I give a shout out to my old guy Garrett for taking top five.
- 12:23But you know, he looked very strong.
- 12:25So I definitely give it, you know, him, his, his flowers and
- 12:28what to do. So congratulations to my man
- 12:31Garrett. I I agree with you on on
- 12:34Garrett, man, I'm trying to zoom in to get these the, the
- 12:38scoring. I we're super bike.
- 12:41You guys got to do something better than APDF.
- 12:45A little. Bit.
- 12:48More a little bit more than that, man.
- 12:50I mean, I'm like, where's the zoom button?
- 12:52That too. I don't want to I don't want to
- 12:53get the wrong places, But let's let's talk about Garrett for a
- 12:57little bit, guys, because it was really good.
- 12:59We, we've been giving him not a hard time, but I think we've
- 13:02been giving him a fear time on the show in the sense that we've
- 13:06been more giving Kawasaki a hard time because it's like, how do
- 13:09you have a factory manufacturer bike doing worse than someone
- 13:16that's taking your engine and putting it into their frame and
- 13:19chassis and so forth. So for him to see him riding the
- 13:22way he's riding and, and it's not to attrition of anyone else
- 13:26getting taken out or anything like that.
- 13:28I mean, if there was more time, he probably could even gotten
- 13:31further. I don't know who'd have caught
- 13:33the 1st 2 Ducatis, but it might have been the 1st place.
- 13:37What are your thoughts, TJ? How girl off did?
- 13:41I really like how he wrote this weekend and just like recess,
- 13:46give him Congrats. I know one thing is when I
- 13:49watched World Super Boy, it's not really just to watch Bulaga.
- 13:53It's kind of just to see, you know, someone from the US and
- 13:57Jared is the one of my favorite riders in the world, super bike.
- 14:00So it's good to see him improve, especially when he doesn't have
- 14:03like the support with the other teammates and stuff like that.
- 14:08So yeah, for him to especially race to the way he got a good
- 14:12start and was already like top five or top 8 and he was able to
- 14:16hold it the whole length of the race and finished fifth.
- 14:19So yeah, I gave him Congrats. Hopefully that helped him go
- 14:23into the next round. But yeah, I always root for
- 14:26Garrett. That's what's up, that's what's
- 14:30up. What do you want to add to that
- 14:31Reese, before we we kind of dive further into into the overall
- 14:36weekend? He's your guy.
- 14:37You got him on the phone so be shouting out now.
- 14:40What's your guy say? Got to say?
- 14:43I mean, I give Garrett every credit is due.
- 14:45I know it's tough over there. I know those guys ride hard.
- 14:47I know, you know, he's been in some tough situations, but I
- 14:51know, I know Garrett's mentality.
- 14:53Garrett's one to never back down.
- 14:55He's never to quit. You know, I've been watching
- 14:57Garrett since he came into the to the paddock, you know, back
- 15:01in with the Super Stock 600 days with Graves.
- 15:05I started with him in Graves. So, you know, I know Garrett's
- 15:09mentality. He's never going to quit.
- 15:10He's never going to back down. So the way he rode this weekend,
- 15:14you know, he he could have definitely got up there with
- 15:17those guys a little bit. And I hope he can build on his
- 15:20momentum to, you know, this past weekend for the next round and,
- 15:24you know, do something else with it.
- 15:25You know, it's nice to see an American up there.
- 15:29And we do have some American people over there overseas.
- 15:33But it's nice to get, you know, one of our guys up there.
- 15:37And, you know, it's definitely going to be nice the one day to
- 15:39get one of those guys on a podium to actually see that
- 15:41American flag draped behind them and maybe even get the win and
- 15:45hear the, you know, hear all national anthem play.
- 15:48Right I I agree, I hope he I hope Kawasaki renews and I hope
- 15:55he stays if he if he does. I know, I, I think I saw
- 15:58recently that he got, it looks like he got married and not to
- 16:02his bike. So it would have been, you know,
- 16:08for some of us might want to see him get married to the bike
- 16:11instead. But I, I, I, I do hope that he
- 16:16does get to stay because it is very important for us to see an,
- 16:20an American in, in world super bike, possibly Moto GP in the in
- 16:26the future. It's it's it's good for
- 16:29motorcycle race in America to see that.
- 16:32I mean, it's tough when you're the only one doing it though,
- 16:36you know what I mean? So, you know, maybe maybe Joe
- 16:38Roberts will come over at some point, you know, so maybe
- 16:41there'll be a couple other folks in there and and whatnot.
- 16:44But you know, let let's talk about race one.
- 16:47We talked about Super Bowl a little bit.
- 16:49You know, I know it's easy to say it's a bull, a good show,
- 16:54but I mean, like looking at the time, Ika's close, right?
- 17:00I mean, he like, you know, per per fastest lap, he's not that
- 17:04far behind, You know, getting better qualifying time, more
- 17:09seat time on the bike, maybe a little fewer mistakes.
- 17:13I mean, this could turn into a real dogfight in a few rounds.
- 17:17What are your thoughts, TJ? Yeah.
- 17:21So the whole like all the rounds leading up to now, I mean, ECO
- 17:25has been like a one has been right there.
- 17:28I just don't know if he is ready to like he got the pace, but to
- 17:34the the bull Liga pace, I'm not sure.
- 17:36Like I feel like if he was able to jump in front of Bulliga, I
- 17:39think he would Bulliga would have an extra step to get by.
- 17:42So I don't know. I think he's right there, but I
- 17:47don't know he's got to do something else to to try to get
- 17:49past Bulliga. I don't know if his race starts
- 17:52not as good. I haven't really checked that
- 17:54out, but you know, going into turn one, I'm not I'm not sure
- 17:59like if he's like top five or not, but he's definitely pulling
- 18:03out the the pace with the times. We can definitely hang in the
- 18:06front and he's finishing second place in most of the races.
- 18:09So so I don't know if he can lead out in front for all those
- 18:16laps. I don't know if that's the set
- 18:19back. OK, what are your thoughts Reese
- 18:26on on on can can Ikaluka Ono catch him?
- 18:31I'm trying to pull up the times, but this system is very archaic
- 18:34with zoom in and zoom out. What what are your thoughts?
- 18:40Because I mean, looking at the times I, I, you know, the
- 18:45fastest lap 138 .569 for Bulaga, fastest lap for ECA 138.648.
- 18:55So we, we, we, he, you know what I'm saying?
- 18:58I mean, if he, if he, if he just eat a little bit less.
- 19:04What are your thoughts man? I want to have to quote, you
- 19:09know, our guy Lewis, you know, it's always not.
- 19:11It's it's easy to do 1 fast lap. It's easy.
- 19:16You got to be able to do that lap consistently, constantly.
- 19:20That's one. Number two, it's definitely
- 19:24easier to what we call chase the rabbit.
- 19:29When you have to chase that rabbit, it's a little easier.
- 19:32But when you out front and you are being chased, it's a little
- 19:38different story. You know, it's a little
- 19:40different story because you're you're not you're the one
- 19:43hitting the marks, the marks first versus I'm following your
- 19:48line and I know you're fast. So if I can follow your line or
- 19:52get into your draft or anything like that, it's a little bit
- 19:55easier. But actually being in the lead,
- 19:58it's a little different story. It's a little bit more pressure.
- 20:00It's a little bit different, you know, lines and then you know
- 20:03you're out there. You know, you're just solo Dolo.
- 20:06Can you keep that pace for every lap or push it?
- 20:10Can you manage your tires? Can you do certain thing?
- 20:13You know, there's a little different.
- 20:15But I mean, he does look good. We'll see what happens next.
- 20:18Coming here. Yeah, I mean, I hear you.
- 20:23You know, when you when you said rabbit, I just think of that
- 20:25scene in Snatch when down the country and Robert's proper.
- 20:33I mean that's that's the case. But yeah, yeah, I mean, you
- 20:40know, look, in race to Bulgar finished 2.5 seconds in front of
- 20:46him with a little bit of change. That's not bad.
- 20:49I mean that like, you know, this is 18 or the 18 laps, 2221 lap,
- 20:5421 lap. And and like the guy, you know,
- 20:57he's tenths of a second, tenths of a second quicker every lap
- 21:01and it's adding up. I mean, is, is this where it
- 21:05will start with Reese first? Is this where you're you're
- 21:08going to your guy and you and you just looking at data at this
- 21:11point? I mean, because it is it in the
- 21:12data or is it in the rider? Is it something the rider can do
- 21:15different to to to to? I mean, is it like, OK, but he
- 21:19messed up in this lap in this in these areas.
- 21:22So maybe if he fixed that, he he may only be two seconds behind.
- 21:25What what is the what when you're chasing?
- 21:29I don't take that much time, but you change changing 2 and
- 21:31chasing 2 1/2 seconds over the course of 21 laps, Like where?
- 21:35Where do you start to look? I mean, sometimes the most it
- 21:38could be the rider, it could be a change of this section here,
- 21:43change of this little bit here, you know, less brakes here,
- 21:48more, more gas here, you know, certain little things that could
- 21:52be, you know, that could play a factor.
- 21:56You could be, you know, there's certain certain sectors you
- 21:59could be, you know, not as good, you're not hitting the lines
- 22:02properly if you're coming through the s s or you're coming
- 22:04through this turn, you may not be as sharp as you are in sector
- 22:082-3 or four. How many sectors there are or
- 22:11you know, wherever is that, you know, sometimes honestly, you
- 22:15know, hate to call it out, but sometimes you could just be a a
- 22:17bitch in that section. You know, you know, you could be
- 22:22and that's just what it is. I mean, it's just all come down
- 22:25to especially if the bike is dialed in properly to where you
- 22:29needed to be. And there's no more that you can
- 22:31do in that section. Because as everyone knows, if if
- 22:35I do certain if you do certain things in this on for the bike
- 22:38over here for this section, you may take away from this section.
- 22:42So you know, you got to be able to as a rider to learn how to
- 22:46adapt to almost sometimes try to ride around.
- 22:49If it's little little problems, you got to try to learn how to
- 22:53ride around it. OK.
- 22:55All right. I'm, I'm, I'm hearing that.
- 22:57I mean, you heard that as well, TJ.
- 23:00I mean, and I don't know if Reese has taken into
- 23:03consideration that. I mean, he has only had three
- 23:07rounds on his bike and he's 2 1/2 seconds.
- 23:10When you see something like that, like is it is it, is it
- 23:16just say give him more time. Just give him, just give him
- 23:18some more rounds and and he'll be there by the end of the
- 23:21season if he doesn't touch the bike.
- 23:22Or is it, you know, are we are, do we start looking where we
- 23:26can, you know, shave off the 2 or 2 1/2 seconds?
- 23:31Yeah, I think the best thing you can do is chase the rabbit right
- 23:33now, like we said, and hopefully can make Bullock a break.
- 23:38I mean, the best chance was in the Super Bowl, but of course,
- 23:43she was the red flag. But, you know, I think at this
- 23:47point he's, I don't know if he's looking at data, he's probably
- 23:51going to have to compare some way or another to see what he
- 23:54can do. But I didn't expect anyone to be
- 23:58this close to Bulgar, to be honest.
- 24:00So it's good to see that Eco is like right behind them because
- 24:03even in race one, Miguel finished 12 seconds behind
- 24:07Bulgar. So, you know, the gap was pretty
- 24:11large between 1:00 and 2:00, but I think if you just stay where
- 24:15it's continue what he's doing and just stay on his his ass
- 24:19basement and I feel like he'll be able to pull, pull a string.
- 24:24You know, right, right. So and and so let me ask this
- 24:28and I'm going to put this to both of you guys.
- 24:30If you're eco local owner, do you just say, look, my first
- 24:35year on the bike, let me just finish second place all year.
- 24:38Let me not mess up Bulaga's championship.
- 24:42Let me just give it to him. Icing on the cake, learn this
- 24:45bike, finish second place because I'm going to be the guy
- 24:47next year. He's going to be the man next
- 24:49year, right? He's going to be the man.
- 24:51I mean, who'd like we, we see Montela, we see Lowe's, I mean,
- 24:57I, we see what Baldessari he's doing, which is amazing.
- 25:00I'm I'm excited for that, but these guys are not as close as
- 25:03Eka is to Bulaga. What are your thoughts, TJ?
- 25:06And then we'll go back to Reese. Does Eka tell?
- 25:11I mean, I don't think any rider thinks that way.
- 25:17Obviously when things started to set in, it is what it is, but I
- 25:20don't think he, I don't think he got it.
- 25:22I don't think. I mean, I think he got it, but I
- 25:24don't think that he has that little extra step to pass
- 25:29Bulaga. I think he's just needs to
- 25:31figure him out more. I would say.
- 25:35I was just want to say like in a race when Bulaga fell back, it's
- 25:38kind of like a Mark Marquez effect.
- 25:40Basically. He found his way back to the
- 25:42front. I just haven't seen that out of
- 25:45Dico Le Cuona yet. So, you know, it's that little
- 25:48extra out of the rider that he just needs to find.
- 25:53So I don't think he needs to be content and just be like, all
- 25:57right, let's just stay second all year and then it'll be my
- 26:00year. But I just don't think, I think
- 26:03it's the I think Bullock got it right now.
- 26:05OK. All right, All right, Reese,
- 26:06man, you're up next and you're in a similar situation, so be
- 26:11careful what you say if you got. You're.
- 26:17In a similar situation, you know, JD starts to shave some
- 26:21time off. So what, what, what, what goes
- 26:25on for that rider that's like close to the number one guy?
- 26:28Do you chill and say, all right, my man's leaving, I'm good next
- 26:32year he's he's, he's going to go to Moto GP some race somehow.
- 26:35So. Or do you try to seize the bull
- 26:38by the horn this season and just say, look, man, if I could steal
- 26:41a couple of rounds, you never know.
- 26:43I, you know, by the end of the season I might only be a couple
- 26:46of races behind. As losers say, no, because, I
- 26:51mean, we're all racing for money.
- 26:53We're racing points here at this point in time of the season is
- 26:58still early. So if I can't, if I can't make a
- 27:03clean pass, yes, I'm going to settle for a second.
- 27:06But if I can make a clean pass and I know I could get up ahead
- 27:09of this guy, all the hell with that.
- 27:11It's all bets are off, man. I'm going for the win because
- 27:15you ain't paying my bills. I got to win.
- 27:18Now if I if I can't make a clean pass and I know it's his, I'm
- 27:22going to let him have it. Like at this point in time with
- 27:25Eka, he knows he's not faster than Bulaga, but he's just as
- 27:31quick. So the best thing for Eka is if
- 27:37you have to stay behind Bulaga, stay behind them, learn, gain as
- 27:42many points because it could be a time Bullocka could screw up
- 27:47or a bike could, you know, have a mechanical failure or
- 27:50something like that. And you're right there to seize
- 27:52the seize the bull by the horn all.
- 27:55Right, All right. I like that.
- 27:56All right, we're going to let's we're going to see that.
- 27:58And I said like that was kind of last year too when when also
- 28:03Bobby came on. So you might two years in a row.
- 28:05You're going to have to stay consistent now.
- 28:09And you can lead a horse to water, but I can't make them
- 28:12drink it. Hi.
- 28:14Hi. I I Lewis.
- 28:15I, I, I, I You probably knew we were going to be talking about
- 28:18Vuliga and how close Ika is, or you just didn't want to just
- 28:21subject your aids to that kind of violence.
- 28:23So that's good, man. How you doing?
- 28:27Good, good man out here in in Cali work and that's why I'm a
- 28:31little late because the time difference from the East Coast
- 28:34to the West Coast had to be messed up a little bit.
- 28:38But this past weekend, you know, Ika, Ika did show like, you
- 28:41know, he's he's there, but he's not 100% there, but he's there.
- 28:47Like if Buliga makes a mistake, he's going to pick up the
- 28:50pieces. The question is when is Buliga
- 28:54going to make a mistake? Because right now, I mean,
- 28:56outside of one or two, maybe three times that he's had issues
- 29:00this year. I mean, he seemed untouchable.
- 29:02He seemed like he's racing in one race and everybody else is
- 29:06racing in a different series. Is it safe to say that Ika kind
- 29:11of showed him that he he has to be flawless?
- 29:14You got to be MJ. Yeah, yeah.
- 29:18But. And and by the way.
- 29:22Ika as far as. I'm only three.
- 29:25I'm only three rounds on the bike that you've been on for
- 29:27three years too, by the way. That has to be Yeah, but he's on
- 29:32the best bike. Let's be honest, man.
- 29:34By by far, by far, it's the best bike.
- 29:37You know, when he was on Honda, he wasn't doing this and he was
- 29:40not on the best bike. He was doing well, but he wasn't
- 29:43doing this. So being on the best bike does
- 29:46help you quite a bit to stay up there, but you still have to,
- 29:52you know, be consistent. You know, let's see how, how,
- 29:55let's see if Ika has the same kind of consistency that Buliga
- 29:59has. Cause Buliga shows up every
- 30:00weekend with that swagger where it's like, I'm winning this
- 30:04weekend. Ika shows every weekend like
- 30:07that swagger that I hope Buliga lets me pass him or I hope
- 30:11Buliga makes a mistake. That's not the swagger you want
- 30:14you got to show up with. I can win this weekend too.
- 30:18And, and I think he's showing up like that.
- 30:20I, I mean, I think that, you know, we, we, you know, there's
- 30:24enough riders that we can talk about that haven't gotten year 2
- 30:28on a bike to really show their potential on a bike.
- 30:31And, and I, and I think that Faika, you know, he, he has to
- 30:35understand like I, I only have a few months on this bike.
- 30:38So I, I think, you know, I don't know if he has enough to, to, I
- 30:43think he has enough to beat him by the end of the season.
- 30:45Is it going to be a little bit too late to win a championship?
- 30:50No, I, I it's not. It's going to be, yeah, it's
- 30:52already too late to win a championship like that, this
- 30:55championship, unless, knock on wood, unless something dramatic
- 30:59happens where Bulgoga had a major injury.
- 31:02Because remember, there's not as many rounds in World Super Bike
- 31:05as there is in Moto GP. Right.
- 31:08There's a lot less rounds to make points.
- 31:09I mean right now the way is looking Bulaga might win the
- 31:13championship with four races left in the season.
- 31:16Not not 4 races sorry. 4 weekends left in the season
- 31:19right? So that's how many?
- 31:20That's 12 races between the race one the Super the the Super Bowl
- 31:25race and the race right? Like he might actually win with
- 31:29still 12 actual races left in the season, which is insane man.
- 31:34No, it is. It is.
- 31:35You know, we'll see. So I'll OK, we'll we'll go back
- 31:37around a horn. So we, we, we, we discussed
- 31:39Bulaga and and Ika, but let's talk about the other.
- 31:44Well, we'll go back to other Ducatis because you, you brought
- 31:47up a good point about 12 rounds, you know, last before that
- 31:52before the round, last round I said Petrucci, Petrucci had to
- 31:56do something. He had the potential in race one
- 31:58to do something. Unfortunately didn't work out
- 32:01well for him and, and, and, and got penalized by and stuff like
- 32:05that. We see that Oliveira was taken
- 32:08out. No fault like, you know, how
- 32:11much bad luck can aloe Vera have?
- 32:14And we'll start with with TJ and then at the same time looking at
- 32:18where BMW was before that accident.
- 32:21You know, they were they was on the kind of store a little bit
- 32:24of good stuff. What are you?
- 32:25What are you? What are your?
- 32:28Thoughts. Yeah, BMW was definitely
- 32:30starting to show something and just kind of looking forward to
- 32:33seeing what they can do this round with the momentum they
- 32:35had. I think, yeah, race, Ron
- 32:38Petrucci got hit or something like that, and I believe it
- 32:43should happen. But the Super Bowl, yeah, just
- 32:47no fault of his own. Just just being being there,
- 32:50just getting hit by another bike.
- 32:52And it's crazy that, you know, he was the only one that really
- 32:55injured out of that situation where there was like a two or
- 32:58three bike accident. But yeah, it's just the luck
- 33:02that the luck that he has. Like I thought that it would
- 33:05stay with Moto GP and hopefully when Terry over into the world
- 33:09Super bike. But hopefully this is just a
- 33:12fluke. Hopefully it gets well soon.
- 33:14I know he's going to miss the next round and check, but yeah.
- 33:19Yeah, he might. He might.
- 33:21It's unfortunate. It is, it is completely
- 33:24unfortunate. What are your thoughts, Reese
- 33:27man on BMW, the accident, Just the, you know, the ups and downs
- 33:32I guess. I mean I've always said this and
- 33:36I've had an argument with people online and everything else about
- 33:40BMWBMW is a great bike. It is fast, but sitting outside
- 33:45of top rack. When has BMW been up there?
- 33:49You know they've had their problems.
- 33:51I've heard from Cam last year that bike wanted to kill him.
- 33:57Yes, it's a good bike, but it still has an issue that has
- 34:01problems, has certain things they got to fix with Oliveira,
- 34:08you know Oliveira, you know that's Oliveira.
- 34:10It's just the name has a target on his back with Oliveira.
- 34:13Either he's going to take somebody out or somebody's going
- 34:15to take him out. It's the way his luck is drawn,
- 34:19you know, It is what it is. And it's sad, but, you know,
- 34:22glad he's old, you know, hope he gets well and, you know, can
- 34:25return here shortly. So that's it, Lewis Mann, what
- 34:32are your thoughts on BMW Aloe Vera's bad luck continues.
- 34:38I mean, you know, him and Alex Renz need to be lifeguards and.
- 34:49You know I said that. Go ahead.
- 34:55Hello. No, I I can hear you.
- 34:58Hello. I can hear you.
- 35:00Can you hear? Us.
- 35:02Yeah, man, I think those deep guys.
- 35:04Yeah, I can hear you. I think he needs a spiritual
- 35:09cleansing or some sort of like ritual sacrifices of a chicken
- 35:14or something man. Because this dude, no matter
- 35:17what series he comes with, he got this black cloud of the
- 35:20people wanting to hit his ass like.
- 35:23And realistically like I said at the beginning of the year, he is
- 35:26the better rider of the two riders on the BMW.
- 35:29At the end of the year, barring injury, I do expect him to
- 35:33finish much higher in the points than Bertucci.
- 35:35Like Petrucci is a rider that's well past his expiration date.
- 35:39In my in my view, he's still fast, but he's not at the pointy
- 35:43tip of the sword anymore. He's like that guy between 6th
- 35:47and 12th place. He's not a perennial.
- 35:51He's not a perennial guy racing for, you know, the podium.
- 35:55And I don't see that changing and especially don't see that
- 35:57changing on the BMW because like re said, you know, it's kind of
- 36:01a known thing that the BMW is a fast bike.
- 36:03It works great in certain aspects, but it still has a lot
- 36:07of rough edges. And if you don't know how to
- 36:10smooth those rough edges, if your natural talent, if your
- 36:13abilities can't smooth those rough edges, BMW has not been
- 36:16able to shave those rough edges. You know, I, I don't know what
- 36:19exactly what it is. I'm not an engineer from BMW,
- 36:22but if you look at that, the the killer's row of names that have
- 36:26been on that bike and not been able to win consistently going
- 36:30all the way to Marco Melandry, back to way back, Leon Haslam,
- 36:34Marco Melandry, Scott Redding, the names go on and on and on
- 36:38and on. And nobody's been able to win a
- 36:40championship on that bike outside of Top Rack because Top
- 36:44Rack is that special guy. And do I think Oliveira or
- 36:48Petrucci are either one of my special guy?
- 36:50Petrucci definitely is not that special guy dude.
- 36:53And Oliveira, he can be a really good rider, but he's not going
- 36:57to develop that bike into a better bike either.
- 37:00Like they need to find, they need to find that next upcoming
- 37:04amazing talent or or BMW needs to find out how to make that
- 37:08bike a little bit more rideable in all situations, not just in
- 37:11one or two situations. OK, All right.
- 37:16You missed that. We were talking about girl off a
- 37:17little bit. He he did really well overall
- 37:20for the weekend. Any thoughts on on your guy all?
- 37:24Right, dude, I'm, I'm always happy to see girl off being
- 37:27competitive, man. You know, I'm always going to
- 37:29wave the, the, the, the red, white and Blue Flag.
- 37:32You know, I, there's nothing more that I, I mean, I really
- 37:34want to see him back on the podium at least once this year,
- 37:37even if it's a third place. Like he's our only hope.
- 37:41And I know that dude is super talented.
- 37:44I know he's had a, you know, his fair share of issues and
- 37:47injuries and he's not on the most competitive Kawasaki
- 37:51package compared to like what BIA Mota put out there with
- 37:54their Kawasaki engine on the BIA Mota setup.
- 37:57But for him to still be doing what he's doing and he had some
- 38:00he had some moments, man, if you watch the race, he had a couple
- 38:03of fucker up moments and he rode through them and he was able to
- 38:06like, you know, still get up there in the top 10.
- 38:08So I'm super happy for him and I hope, I hope Kawasaki does
- 38:14something, man. I'd, you know, we've been saying
- 38:16it the wrong time and I don't want to see Kawasaki disappear
- 38:19from World Super Bike because they've been the perennial super
- 38:23bike, kind of like role model bike for so long.
- 38:26I mean, you know, Jonathan Ray won so many championships on
- 38:30Kawasaki and Kawasaki's been there for so long that the last
- 38:34thing you want to see is like one of those legacy brands
- 38:36disappearing. You know, we already don't have
- 38:39Suzuki and World Super Bike Honda's there, but you know,
- 38:45they're not doing much. Yamaha's there.
- 38:47You know they're back there, but they're there.
- 38:50But it's just back there. What Yamaha, Cuz you know,
- 38:55Lakatelli look, look, look pretty good.
- 38:58So I mean, you know, I think Chavi, I guess he finished 10th.
- 39:04But they had some runs. They're running, they've running
- 39:05some issues, but they seem to be a couple of riders seem to be
- 39:08doing a little bit better in, in the struggles of between Honda.
- 39:12I mean, I between Honda and Yamaha right now as far as world
- 39:15super bike. So there was a, there was a
- 39:17couple of moments, you know, I looked up, it's like, oh, OK.
- 39:20I mean, you know, I think they got the first half of the race
- 39:22figured out. I think that's the second-half
- 39:24of the race is where they start to struggle.
- 39:26Yeah, at that big drop. You know what I'm saying?
- 39:28So what are your thoughts to TJ? You're a Yamaha guy.
- 39:31Like, I mean, we all own Yamahas.
- 39:32I mean, you know. Yeah, no, I, I especially if
- 39:38expecting them to do a little better, but well, I could tell
- 39:42you for sure didn't have the best weekend.
- 39:44I think he, I mean, obviously in the the Super Bowl he went down
- 39:49and then race 2, it's mainly like the second-half of the
- 39:53race, as you said, is just, I don't know if they just lose a
- 39:57lot of grip or just something just not setting well, but it's
- 40:03just the pace that doesn't keep up.
- 40:06But hoping for a little improvement, see what happens in
- 40:11check. But I don't know.
- 40:13I mean, I just see a locker telly and other other guys, you
- 40:18know, still a little further back.
- 40:22Yeah, I'm I'm surprised by Gardner.
- 40:24I'm surprised by not not I think Javier is doing well because I
- 40:31mean, he for a first year guy again, three third round on a
- 40:35bike, he he who he has been competitive at times, but again
- 40:39can't sustain it. Reese, man, I mean, you're
- 40:42seeing you guys are seeing this. You know, how do you guys feel
- 40:46about you know how the the struggles of the Yamaha world
- 40:49super bike. Struggle is real, man.
- 40:54I mean, it hurts. I mean, you know, to see Yamaha
- 40:58back there, like like Lewis said, it's like that
- 41:00second-half, they just seem to kind of fall off and can't
- 41:05sustain the the pace. And I haven't heard anything.
- 41:10I don't know what's going on over there.
- 41:13You know, sometimes we will here we'll catch, you know, glimpse
- 41:16of it. So it does hurt.
- 41:18I mean, I wish they could could they seem to get a good start
- 41:21and get a good jump. I wish they can maintain it for
- 41:23the rest of the, you know, race, you know, and I would love to
- 41:27see at least one or two of them up there.
- 41:29You know, at least in the battle, you don't have to.
- 41:34You don't have to win. But like Richard used to say,
- 41:36you know, Richard says at least show yourself in the battle of
- 41:39the race, not just back in the race, you know, So to see them
- 41:45actually in the race will be something at least promising,
- 41:49you know, for for the future. So hopefully, you know, they can
- 41:53get it together and turn it around.
- 41:55I mean, we still got, you know, some races ago, we still got the
- 41:59whole second-half after the summer break.
- 42:01So hopefully they can turn around and we're not the only
- 42:06ones waving the flag. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 42:09And no, I, I, I, I agree. I hope it does turn around.
- 42:12What are your thoughts, Lewis? Man with Yamaha where they're
- 42:14at? I mean I think they're going to
- 42:22they're good. They're going to have flashes of
- 42:23brilliance at a couple of tracks where you know the benefits and
- 42:26the strengths of the Yamaha shine best.
- 42:29I mean overall, I you know, they're not going to be
- 42:30competing for wins anytime soon there.
- 42:33They might compete for some podiums.
- 42:35You know, there's always an off chance, you know, crashes, rain
- 42:39events, things like that like anybody in any given Sunday,
- 42:41anybody can win, but the betting odds against them winning a race
- 42:47this year are not going to be too high.
- 42:48I mean, if we go online and and go on cash Kashi, I doubt
- 42:54they're going to be too high an odds that they're going to get
- 42:57AW this year. But I hope, I hope Yamaha keeps
- 43:01the head down, keeps moving forward.
- 43:03And you know, I know that there's some rumors of
- 43:06development of a new bike and so forth and so on.
- 43:08But we need, we need this Japanese manufacturers to go
- 43:12from rumors to reality because we've been hearing rumors for
- 43:14way, way too long. You know, I've been, I've been
- 43:17hearing rumors since the 1998 at this point, I feel.
- 43:26Let's talk about Ducati. And we were talking about Bulaga
- 43:29and ICA, but it seems like Ducati is by far the best bike
- 43:35on the grid. It seems like all of their even
- 43:38the satellite guys, they all can pull out fast laps and can at
- 43:44times be you know the top 8 bikes in 128 this pass around.
- 43:51What are your thoughts, TJ? I just feel like, you know, when
- 43:57you prove you got the best bike and one of the best riders on
- 43:59the bike, kind of just use that in kind of imitators in a way
- 44:05and just make sure your riders can ride around the problems
- 44:10that they can have with that great bike.
- 44:12So I think it's just a change of facts.
- 44:14I think it just goes in line that that they're doing well.
- 44:19Right, and I mean, you know, who knew having, you know, a a
- 44:23double sided swing on would make things better?
- 44:25Because you look at by Batista who struggled last year, He's
- 44:28he's he's like, I mean, I didn't realize he was 41 when they said
- 44:33his age. I was just kind of like, oh man,
- 44:35he's old man doing this stuff. So it's, it's, it's, you know, a
- 44:40lot of the riders are being successful.
- 44:43Yeah, he he is struggling by the way.
- 44:45I mean, he is 41. But overall, the Ducatis, you
- 44:49know, you know they're, they're always in the front of the pack
- 44:53for the most of the time, so. You just say all hail to Ducati.
- 44:57I know you can say, come on, say it with me.
- 44:59What are your thoughts, Reese, on Ducati?
- 45:03You heard the harsh comments from TJ about what is the
- 45:05saying, how old he is. But 41, you know, still getting
- 45:08the top five, top six, it's not bad.
- 45:12Yeah, it's not bad. I mean, you know, for an old
- 45:14man, I mean, he's still fast as heck, you know what I mean?
- 45:17So I can definitely give him his flowers and give him his credit,
- 45:20you know, but not for certain. I mean didn't isn't Ducati right
- 45:25now on a recall even the race teams for that swing arm?
- 45:31Why? Why are you trying to bring me
- 45:32down all? Right man, listen, I'm calling
- 45:34facts. They just called a major recall
- 45:36and them double swing arms and the single sided swing arm for
- 45:39cracking too much flexing. You sure about that?
- 45:44I'm 100% sure. I'm have to double check with.
- 45:48I mean I didn't. I didn't get my notice.
- 45:51Yeah, I'm sure they said they're starting to crack, so you might
- 45:53want to be aware of that. I figure I'd let you know since
- 45:55you do own a Ducati, you know? Yeah.
- 45:57I I appreciate that, but until they until until it goes Chuck
- 46:02and Chuck down the road, they seem to be the best bike on the
- 46:06grid by. They are, they are.
- 46:08You're on the best bike. You're on the fastest bike out
- 46:10there. I mean, hands down, you know, we
- 46:13give you, it's, it's as we call it, the change of the gods.
- 46:17You know, everybody gets their time up top.
- 46:21It's Ducati's time. It is, it is their time.
- 46:25It's their time. I I can, you know, I, I, if I
- 46:28can see, I mean from what the single sided swing on the girth
- 46:33of that thing to what the double sided, yeah, I can, I can see
- 46:36they can add a little, a little bit more aluminum or whatever it
- 46:39is that they add. What are your thoughts, Lewis
- 46:45Mann on Ducati? You know, it seems like hands
- 46:48down by now it's, it's, it's their championship to lose.
- 46:53It's, it's actually, this is funny because I was having a
- 46:56conversation with some people from Italy that have been to
- 47:01like VR46 training Academy events at race tracks where like
- 47:06the guys on Ducatis are racing V twos and the guys on other
- 47:10manufacturers are racing the bikes that their particular
- 47:13manufacturer gave them. So whether there are ones that
- 47:16they're racing or RSV fours or whatever, that manufacturer they
- 47:20race forgives them and the guys in the Ducatis smoke everybody.
- 47:28So like these are Moto GP riders on pretty much stock bikes minus
- 47:32maybe old and suspension, a little bit of suspension setup,
- 47:35but stock bikes. And then the the another Moto GP
- 47:39racer on an RSV 4 can't keep up with the Moto GP races on the
- 47:43Ducati V twos. And you know, another Moto GP
- 47:49race on an R1 can't keep up with the Moto GP races again on the
- 47:52Ducati V twos or the V4 s s. And like this just goes to show
- 47:58how great a stock bike these guys are making that the best
- 48:02riders in the world that can get the most out of a bike are
- 48:06smoking other guys that are actually better than them when
- 48:09they're on a better bike. So all things being considered,
- 48:12like you got to tip your hat to Ducati, which I hate to do.
- 48:16You know that, you know, I hate to do it, but you got to tip
- 48:20your hat to them. These, they have invested the
- 48:22money, they've invested the time.
- 48:24They keep developing the bike, even though they keep devaluing
- 48:27their bikes every two years because every two years a better
- 48:30version of the bike you have comes out.
- 48:32So four years from now, your bike is worth half what it's
- 48:34worth because there's a brand new one that's way better than
- 48:36one you have. But at the same time, that's
- 48:40good because they're pushing the envelope.
- 48:43If they stay stagnant and other manufacturers start to catch up,
- 48:46then they're going to lose their competitive edge.
- 48:48And they don't want to lose their edge.
- 48:49They keep investing. They're doing what all the
- 48:52Japanese bikes you to do from 2000 or from 1995 to 2010, every
- 48:58two years there's a, a mid season or mid model upgrade.
- 49:01Then there's a full upgrade every four years.
- 49:03And then there's this and there's that.
- 49:05Like they're doing the business model that all the Japanese
- 49:08manufacturers used to do through the 90s and, and the early
- 49:112000s. And, and, and it's, it's, it's
- 49:14helping them because guess what? They're selling a, a ton of
- 49:18bikes. They don't have, you know, side
- 49:20by side. They don't have personal
- 49:21watercraft, They don't have anything else.
- 49:23They've got what, 5 models of motorcycles and all five models
- 49:26are selling. Yeah, yeah.
- 49:30I mean, is that, is it just because they just still, I
- 49:35wouldn't say still, but they love motorcycle racing, they
- 49:39love racing. Is that what it comes down to?
- 49:41When you, when, when you know, you look at coaches, you look at
- 49:44players, when they're pushing the envelope to just be better.
- 49:49They're not worrying about anything else.
- 49:50There's no bottom line. They, you know, a good example
- 49:54is Guy Martin, right? He's a good example of somebody
- 49:56who just loves this. He don't, he don't care about
- 49:59none of the like the stuff that that that Casey Stoner hated.
- 50:04You know, all, all the, all the fluffy, the lights, the glitz,
- 50:07the none of that. Just want to go out there, give
- 50:09me a fast bike and let me see what I can do is is that what
- 50:12that what it comes down to at this point?
- 50:14Is it just too many suits in between the guys making the
- 50:18bikes and the guys riding the bikes?
- 50:21I mean, the too many suits is one thing, because there are a
- 50:24lot of suits, you know, you want to make a profit, you want to be
- 50:27profitable. You look at different markets,
- 50:30you try to make motorcycles to meet the demeans of different
- 50:32markets. Ducati has a completely
- 50:34different like they have a obviously they have a
- 50:38competitive streak to them. They want to be the best, they
- 50:41want to know people, but they've also built a culture around
- 50:46their bikes that support the product.
- 50:49You know, you got these Ducati riders clubs that are like 30-50
- 50:53a 150 people deep in cities all over the US.
- 50:57You've got these dealerships that are putting on track days
- 51:01for just people that are on Ducatis.
- 51:03You've got this whole like they've created like their own
- 51:06little Echosphere of racing racing dynamics of pride in the
- 51:11brand. And it's, it's showing, you
- 51:13know, we're going to keep making better bikes and our customers
- 51:17are going to keep buying them because they know that these are
- 51:19the best of the best and even the.
- 51:23They got tired of here being compared to guys going to coffee
- 51:26shop on their Ducatis. I mean, let's be honest with
- 51:29you, 99% of V4 s s don't see a lean angle further than that.
- 51:35You know that. That's it.
- 51:36You know, I'm out here in California.
- 51:38I can't tell you how many square tire Ducatis I see out here.
- 51:42The center's flat as shit and the sides are brand new.
- 51:46I mean, I can get that, I can, I can agree to that, I can agree
- 51:50to that. But.
- 51:52But you go to a coffee shop and there's 15 Ducatis.
- 51:56Even if the center of the tires are all flat, they still bought
- 51:5915 Ducatis. They still bought 15-V4V4 s s.
- 52:03They spent, you know, 20, five, $30,000 on each of these bikes.
- 52:07But then I see a shit box, you know, 10 year old Kawasaki.
- 52:13And it's like that's one shit box. 10 year old Kawasaki that's
- 52:17probably been sold three times since it was originally sold as
- 52:20new. And all these other Ducatis,
- 52:22they're all within the last 2-3 years.
- 52:24They're all brand new. Bro I, I don't, I don't know how
- 52:28like I see these people riding these Lamborghinis and V4 Rs.
- 52:33They're buying them like they are threes.
- 52:35Yeah, yeah, yeah. I, I mean, I, you know what, if
- 52:40one, if you can afford them, great.
- 52:42If you can't afford them and you're willing to go into defer
- 52:45them, great. Also, you know, your life, life
- 52:48decisions. We all learn from our mistakes.
- 52:51But again, at the end of the day, Ducati is still selling a
- 52:55lot of bikes. They're still doing their thing,
- 52:57whether it's here in the US or worldwide.
- 52:59They've set themselves as a prestige brand, like an
- 53:02aspirational brand. It's a brand that like people
- 53:05that have other bikes, even if they hate the bike, they're
- 53:09like, oh man, someday I would like to buy a Ducati.
- 53:11I'll just wait until it's like used, but at someday, like it's
- 53:15aspiration, I want to have a Ducati.
- 53:19Ducati is the 80s cocaine, yeah. You get Ducati does buy from
- 53:25working at the dealer and used to work at the dealer.
- 53:27Ducati does buy deep too. They do buy deep.
- 53:31Like you can have a kind of a little weird credit score and
- 53:34they'll still approve you. And if you get a lot of guys
- 53:38that will, when I used to work there, the there was the the
- 53:42same saying I used to go, why should I buy this bike at 20
- 53:47grand when I can go four more grand?
- 53:49I can go buy that V4 and be part of a an elite group.
- 53:54Very elite. That was it.
- 53:57And then you got right. And then Ducati brings, they're
- 54:02bringing what, like 5000 bikes in to the States, like 5-6, you
- 54:09know what I mean? Yamaha, you know what I mean?
- 54:10Yamaha R1 they brought in, yeah, they're bringing more than that.
- 54:13But I'm just giving an example. You know what I mean?
- 54:14Yamaha brought in two, yeah, 2 grand.
- 54:19That's it. And then how many R sixes 20?
- 54:23Yeah, they're not like a lot of number.
- 54:26They're all sold out already. And literally from talking to
- 54:30the my the DMS of Yamaha, they're like the demand is so
- 54:33high but we only normally we used to get 10,000 now we're
- 54:37getting 2000. Right, right.
- 54:40Yeah, it sucks. And, and it goes to what Lewis
- 54:45was saying, what Ducati does to, to continue to grow the brand.
- 54:48I mean, I mean, like, you know, Yamaha needs to do that.
- 54:52Honda needs to do that, you know, more to, to, to grow the
- 54:56culture because they're like everyone loves Honda and Yamaha
- 55:00and Suzuki. And, and if, if they, if they, I
- 55:04don't, I'm not sitting here saying to do what Ducati is
- 55:07doing as far as riders, clubs and track day stuff.
- 55:10I mean, Aprilia is doing it and Aprilia is growing.
- 55:12So there's something to be said. To that, you're 100% right.
- 55:16I mean, I've had this argument with the guys over there inside
- 55:19the corporate office and it's it's goes up a little bit
- 55:22higher. And if they're talking about
- 55:23it's from the Japan area, I'm like, when you go by Ducati, you
- 55:26feel part of a group. Lewis knows about this.
- 55:29Like you buy Ducati, there's a riders club, there's certain
- 55:32things you can do. You go to, you know, to Moto GP.
- 55:35You got your own little hole section.
- 55:38Yamaha used to do that. Used to buy Yamaha and
- 55:41automatically you get a free membership to Nesba.
- 55:44You would just automatically get a free membership to NESBA.
- 55:47They would take care of you. They would do certain things.
- 55:49Now it's like, Oh yeah, here's your bike, get the hell out my
- 55:52face. That's pretty much what they do.
- 55:54It's like they don't buy into, like you said, they don't buy
- 55:56into the culture right now and that's what they need to do.
- 56:00I mean, Yamaha doesn't even sell like branded apparel anymore.
- 56:04They used to sell jackets. They used to sell gloves like
- 56:07they used to really, you know, similar in a similar way, in a
- 56:10smaller way. Yamaha had the same thing.
- 56:13And this is this comes from the Harley-Davidson mentality.
- 56:16Harley-Davidson is all about getting you in a Harley, getting
- 56:18you into into the Harley Riders Club or the Hogs, the right of
- 56:22the Harley's owner groups, getting into like getting you
- 56:26into that atmosphere where you're around like minded people
- 56:29that are on the same bikes, we're in the same stuff.
- 56:32Their dealerships were, you know, 80% of the dealership with
- 56:35T-shirts, hats and other things to brand yourself a
- 56:38Harley-Davidson rider as well as the bikes as well as this and
- 56:41that. And right now Ducati is just
- 56:44doing it better than everybody else.
- 56:45They're just, you know, really selling the bikes, but selling
- 56:48the culture around the bikes. I'll tell you what, man,
- 56:51Harley-Davidson, I think used to be like the number one tattoo of
- 56:54a brand on most people's body, Like the most tattooed brand in
- 56:59the world was Harley-Davidson. And now like, you know, Desmo or
- 57:04Ducati. Oh, it's, it's probably like the
- 57:08up there in the top 10 most requested tattoos.
- 57:13And that, that goes a lot, man, when you're willing to put the
- 57:15ink of another company's brand on your body.
- 57:18Yeah, bro. That's different.
- 57:21I, I, I, I need, I need to get training from them sales people,
- 57:24'cause I don't want to sell like that.
- 57:30Come on you, come on, you can do it.
- 57:31Just put Rexy 45 right. There rexy 45 right there.
- 57:35What's the what's the second most tattoo?
- 57:37Is it Suzuki? I've always seen that.
- 57:40Nah Nah Nah. Suzuki is this is it's the
- 57:44second, it's the the most requested tattoo after you're
- 57:49shit faced drunk. Suzuki's like Suzuki's like
- 57:56Father's Day. The worst holiday, that's what
- 58:02that is. Speaking of, let's talk about
- 58:04let's talk about super sport a little bit because I I feel bad
- 58:07for is it Cannon 2? Cannon 2 is in super sport and I
- 58:15feel bad if I can because he's talk about a killer and fighting
- 58:19this, this, this, this. I've never I don't know him, but
- 58:24I've never seen another ride or another person this unhappy
- 58:27about second place. It's, it's, it's, it's, it's
- 58:31literally he, he, it's like he must go away.
- 58:36All his 2nd place trophies, 3rd place trophies.
- 58:38If it's not a first place trophy, he doesn't allow himself
- 58:41to smile. And there's so many riders
- 58:44around him that's just give him a hard time, you know, And it
- 58:47seems like it's just him against those riders.
- 58:51What are your thoughts on, on, on super sport class and, and
- 58:55you know where that is? Because really it, it should
- 58:58have been after Manzi left. It should have been his
- 59:00championship to lose, but it kind of seemed like he he he
- 59:04just never grabbed a baton. I felt like that that that race
- 59:11was good. I mean, I know race one wants
- 59:15you doing really well. And then just to sum it up
- 59:18coming, I think like the second or third last corner, he just
- 59:22got basically mugged in two riders past him.
- 59:27You know, you see, if you know, one rider comes through and then
- 59:30you know, someone's right behind him right after that.
- 59:32So you go from first and then to 3rd.
- 59:35So he almost got fourth very close.
- 59:38But I can just see his mentality just being upset about that.
- 59:42And then obviously the second race, not able to get first
- 59:47again. But yeah, man, it's tough.
- 59:50It's tough, man, especially the, you know, it was getting drafted
- 59:53and stuff like that. But right, you know, I would say
- 59:57Reese, he's similar to connect, but connect, you know, at least
- 1:00:00a little bit more consistent, little less injuries and stuff
- 1:00:03like that. I mean, you know, you know, what
- 1:00:06do you, what do you tell a writer when they come back in as
- 1:00:09a pep talk? When you, when you see a guy
- 1:00:10like that who you know in, in his mind.
- 1:00:15You know, in his mind he thinks he's Anthony Edwards, right?
- 1:00:18He he like, but he's not getting the results.
- 1:00:21He's struggling a little bit. What are your thoughts on that?
- 1:00:25I mean, it's kind of hard to talk to him about that.
- 1:00:27I mean, if you if he thinks that he's like an Anthony Edwards or
- 1:00:30he thinks he's the top guy, you kind of kind of just got to let
- 1:00:35him stay there. Just, you know, you don't want
- 1:00:38to bring him down, but you also don't want to, you know,
- 1:00:42oversell them, you know what I mean?
- 1:00:43Like, I don't want to sit and say, yeah, you know, you can do
- 1:00:46this, but you still try to give him a pep talk and say, you
- 1:00:49know, next time, you know, we got this.
- 1:00:50I mean, you're right there. We'll keep going.
- 1:00:53We'll keep fighting. And, you know, you just kind of
- 1:00:55let them know we're here with you.
- 1:00:56We're here to fight. But it's it's, it's definitely
- 1:00:59hard being second. It's but do you do you, do you,
- 1:01:04do you tell you know, we, we, you know, I don't know if you
- 1:01:06saw the F1 movie, You know, we only drink beer and and you
- 1:01:09know, we want to eat. We drink beer unless we went in
- 1:01:12when we we won, right? That's sometimes we drink
- 1:01:14champagne. We we drank champagne.
- 1:01:16But do you tell him to just appreciate the moment,
- 1:01:19appreciate where you're at, appreciate like the level of
- 1:01:22which you're competing. You know, you know, there's
- 1:01:25there's not a lot of guys that are that are fast than you in
- 1:01:28the world at at at this level. Yeah, you want to make him
- 1:01:32appreciate where he's at because I mean, you could be worse.
- 1:01:35You could be in the back, you could be mid pack, you could be
- 1:01:37somewhere you could be hurt. So you definitely want him to
- 1:01:40appreciate it, but also you still want him to keep that
- 1:01:43fire, that hunger to actually stand on that top podium.
- 1:01:47You want him to be able to taste that, that, that victory, you
- 1:01:50know, So it's, it's, it's kind of tough.
- 1:01:52Like it's, it's almost like shit.
- 1:01:56Like, you know, it's like you, it's, it's, it's that hard
- 1:01:59level. It's that second.
- 1:02:00And it's like, sometimes it's like, I'd rather be back and
- 1:02:05forth, you know, at least I wasn't that close enough.
- 1:02:08But it's that when you're that close and you can almost reach
- 1:02:11out and grab it, it's that hard, hard level, man.
- 1:02:16It's just tough. Second is tough.
- 1:02:18Yeah, I don't know how that's true, True.
- 1:02:19This is. But I heard Andy Raddick threw
- 1:02:21away pretty much all his trophies because all the fight
- 1:02:24he had against Rafa and Roddick and then Djokovic, like he was
- 1:02:29always like runner up, runner up, you know, that kind of
- 1:02:32thing. And and I mean, he got the one
- 1:02:34U.S. Open with everything else was
- 1:02:35like a dogfight. It, it, it's tough to swallow,
- 1:02:38you know, the, the, the Reggie Millers of the world and, and
- 1:02:41and stuff like that, that like it, it, it, you know, you're so
- 1:02:46close, right? Right, you do you want to be
- 1:02:48second best all your life? Do you want to know that you
- 1:02:50were second best? Like you were never just that
- 1:02:52good enough to to hit the top. Right, they still don't be so
- 1:02:56hard on yourself. That's why, that's why you got
- 1:02:58to love Jordan. He's one of the cool people that
- 1:03:00know that you, you, you hear all this.
- 1:03:04Who, who, Who you firing in the building you're firing?
- 1:03:06The guy that tells your rider to appreciate second place?
- 1:03:13I mean, I would, I would talk to my rioter, not necessarily to
- 1:03:16appreciate second place, but it's also important to not
- 1:03:24outsmart yourself. You know, if you're so negative
- 1:03:27about second and you think that that negativity is what's going
- 1:03:31to push you over to the top to 1st, it's not, you know,
- 1:03:35negativity has never pushed you into first place.
- 1:03:38It might motivate you for a short time, but at the end of
- 1:03:42the day, you know what? You got a second.
- 1:03:43It is what it is. Let's prepare for the next race.
- 1:03:46This race is over. There's nothing we can do.
- 1:03:49You know when. If you carry that from race to
- 1:03:51race as a motivation, it's not necessarily going to make you
- 1:03:54faster. It might actually make you do
- 1:03:57some stupid things. It might make you push when you
- 1:04:00don't need to push. It might make you try to do a
- 1:04:03lunge that you don't need to do early in the race.
- 1:04:06Like every race is its own is its own lifespan.
- 1:04:10And once the race is over, that lifespan is done.
- 1:04:13You got to look toward the next race.
- 1:04:14You got to start from a clean slate, take the information you
- 1:04:17learn from that race and adopt it to the next race.
- 1:04:20But don't carry, you know, a lot of guys do carry certain things
- 1:04:24over from race to race because it motivates them.
- 1:04:28It might help them push a little bit further.
- 1:04:30They get into one-on-one battle. That last time that person got
- 1:04:33the better of them. This time they want to get the
- 1:04:35better of them. And they kind of go back and
- 1:04:36forth. But at the the the greatest
- 1:04:39races in the world are the ones with the shortest memory, the
- 1:04:43goldfish, the guys that forget everything negative about the
- 1:04:47last race and just move on to the next race like a goldfish.
- 1:04:50This is a brand new race starting from this point here.
- 1:04:52This is what I need to do. These are my markers is what I'm
- 1:04:55working with. This is what my tires can do
- 1:04:57from this point to this point in the race is what my tires can do
- 1:04:59from this point. Like you have to reset after
- 1:05:02every race and take each race as an individual event that you got
- 1:05:06to be the best at that event. Don't worry about the previous
- 1:05:09event because if you start getting into your mind, ah, this
- 1:05:12is the corner. This dude got me.
- 1:05:13This is the corner. All you're going to end up doing
- 1:05:15is you're going to end up crashing, messing up your race
- 1:05:17or even get more pissed the next race that you got another
- 1:05:20second. If you want to keep the
- 1:05:22trophies, don't keep the trophies.
- 1:05:23Throw them away. Throw them in the garbage, wipe
- 1:05:25your ass with them. Do whatever.
- 1:05:26But when you come into the next race, if you're sitting on my
- 1:05:29bike, I want you to have a clean slate.
- 1:05:30Worry about the race today, the race yesterday, we can't do
- 1:05:33anything about it's over. That's what I tell my riders,
- 1:05:37that's what I would tell a professional and that's what a
- 1:05:40professional rider that how they should approach every single
- 1:05:42race. Every single race is a new
- 1:05:44opportunity to do better, right? Right now we let we'll we'll go
- 1:05:49around the horn on a couple of things.
- 1:05:50Is ZX Moto. Are they there at the turtle in
- 1:05:55the story? Because I know he had a
- 1:05:58mechanical on Sunday. But man, they, they they, they
- 1:06:02looking good. What's going on with you?
- 1:06:04We talked about the V2. As far as the Moto GP riders
- 1:06:08riding a bike. What's going on with Ducati in
- 1:06:10in Super Sport? Because it seems like
- 1:06:12everybody's smacking up the Ducati.
- 1:06:14Yeah, I mean, Macy is trying, but you know, the factory guy.
- 1:06:19Is there a factory bike in in in the Super Sport?
- 1:06:22I don't even see the factory guy.
- 1:06:23Is it no factory? Nope.
- 1:06:27That, that makes sense. Then what are your thoughts,
- 1:06:30man? On, on, on, on, on.
- 1:06:31What's going on, TJ? I just don't think it's trick.
- 1:06:36I just don't think the trick of down to the Dukakis yet in Super
- 1:06:40Sport with all the data. But yeah, it's very impressive
- 1:06:44to see that Xenix Moto 800 just be on top.
- 1:06:49I mean, we've been seeing the ZX Moto kind of often and Jim being
- 1:06:54a newer manufacturer out there in this racing movie, it's just
- 1:06:58it's crazy to see that they're out there.
- 1:07:01Our knives look good. I'm not sure why the V twos are
- 1:07:04not doing that well, but you know sure they got the help
- 1:07:10behind him with Ducati and and the money.
- 1:07:13Yeah, yeah. And I'm excited for arenas.
- 1:07:15I'm excited because he struggled in Moto 2 for a while after
- 1:07:18doing well in Moto 3 as as well. So I'm happy that he decided
- 1:07:22that that figured out how to run off the front.
- 1:07:25What are your thoughts For a reason.
- 1:07:26You're going to order your VX Moto.
- 1:07:27You're going to be starting the franchise in Orlando.
- 1:07:31Nah, but like Lewis said, man, the Chinese are coming, you know
- 1:07:34what I mean? They are definitely coming.
- 1:07:38But I mean, they look good for what they are.
- 1:07:40They definitely look good. They I mean they're it impressed
- 1:07:44the hell out of me. You know, it's still it's still
- 1:07:50yet to be determined like fully fully, but I don't know what's
- 1:07:55going on in the V twos. I mean, they're they're like
- 1:07:57they just having air issues up and down and struggling.
- 1:08:01I know with the R nines over there, they they opted for, you
- 1:08:06know, to keep the swing arm and less than the RPMS. So we'll see
- 1:08:11what they do all. Right.
- 1:08:13Hey Lewis, what are your thoughts?
- 1:08:15Man isn't. I thought Philip Ernald was on a
- 1:08:17a factory but the Aruba factory pulled out in super sports for
- 1:08:20for this year. I believe so.
- 1:08:24OK. Yeah, they did.
- 1:08:25I believe there's no but I also. So here's the and again, maybe I
- 1:08:29misheard something during the broadcast this past weekend
- 1:08:33because I I watch it on the I watch the Spanish broadcast
- 1:08:37because the Spanish broadcast tends a lot to drop a lot more
- 1:08:39Dimes in the English broadcast. The English broadcast is a
- 1:08:42little too sanitized for my liking.
- 1:08:47I got. To change up my my my.
- 1:08:48You got to get the translation at the bottom.
- 1:08:50So during the Spanish broadcast, what I heard was that the ZX
- 1:08:56Moto is supported supported by Evans Brothers Racing.
- 1:09:01Evans Brothers Racing, if I remember correctly, used to be
- 1:09:05the manufacturer the the bike builder for a small team called
- 1:09:10Tenkate who used to crush in Super Sport.
- 1:09:16So if ZX Moto is actually using Evans Brothers Racing as their
- 1:09:20motor builder and their support team now, it kind of like, all
- 1:09:24right, I can see why these guys are super fast 'cause these
- 1:09:28dudes at Evans Brothers Racing make some of the fastest super
- 1:09:31sports that have ever existed. OK, Yeah.
- 1:09:34Like they were. That bike looks bad man.
- 1:09:37Yeah, they were building the R6 motors that were killing that
- 1:09:40class when the R6 were the top of that class.
- 1:09:44So whatever, you know, they're great at building motors.
- 1:09:47And if it is true, if if they're getting support from Evans
- 1:09:49Brothers, then now I understand why does the X motorbike is
- 1:09:54doing as good as it's doing because those guys can build a
- 1:09:56hell of a motor. They can build a hell of a bike.
- 1:10:01What? Say less?
- 1:10:02Yeah, Speaking of, we got Moto GP this round in France and we
- 1:10:08thought you might have got a DNFII would change the rule
- 1:10:12rules at the beginning of the show to say you have to be on
- 1:10:15air and I got to change it. You have to be on air 5 minutes
- 1:10:18before the show starts recording.
- 1:10:22I, I didn't want him to show up, you know, I mean, I needed, I
- 1:10:24needed to jump over Lewis to get back out of last place.
- 1:10:27I don't know how I end up there because the market.
- 1:10:30Even with my DNFS I'm still towards the top.
- 1:10:34Now the Marquezes are killing me.
- 1:10:35The Marquezes are killing me. Let's let's, let's talk guys.
- 1:10:40I mean, what are we in round four Moto GP?
- 1:10:44Will you expect to see this, this, this, this barring
- 1:10:47weather, Will you expect to see who, who needs to show up?
- 1:10:52Who, who, who you think is not going to show up and, and all
- 1:10:57that fun stuff? We'll start with TJ.
- 1:11:02Who needs to show up? Fabio needs to show up because
- 1:11:07this whole round, Zarko needs to show up again, you know, just
- 1:11:11for the fans. But yeah, I'll say Mark Marquez
- 1:11:16needs to show back up to get back to to where he wants to be.
- 1:11:21And I'm sure like this is not the how he planned on this
- 1:11:23season going. I mean, I know he's still close
- 1:11:27to the top up, but yeah, I'd say they need to show up.
- 1:11:32I'll say also Pekko. But yeah, as this season is
- 1:11:36going, it's kind of like predictable but kind of
- 1:11:39unpredictable. So kind of don't really know
- 1:11:42who's going to come out on top race.
- 1:11:44So as far as race by race. I I agree with you that when you
- 1:11:48guys need to show up and, you know, one of the few records,
- 1:11:51records in the last five years that Pekko is holding, he's he's
- 1:11:54was the only person I was able to defend his number one plate.
- 1:11:59And so, yeah. So what are your thoughts,
- 1:12:02Reese, man? What are you looking to see you
- 1:12:05agreeing? What what TJ saying that these
- 1:12:07guys need to show up or maybe some of the guys towards the the
- 1:12:10bottom 10 that needs to kind of, you know, get a little bit more?
- 1:12:14I'm agreeing with TJA 100%, man, the Marquez need to definitely
- 1:12:18show up because he's damn near killing me right now.
- 1:12:22But you know, there's you know, it'd be it's it would like like
- 1:12:27he said, you know, for Zarko to show up, you know, for the fans,
- 1:12:31you know, the Frenchman and definitely be nice for him to
- 1:12:33show up there. That would be nice for one of
- 1:12:35the French guys. They even lead, you know, either
- 1:12:38a podium or, you know, put it on, you know, the start, you
- 1:12:43know, and grid one. But there's a couple of guys
- 1:12:49that definitely need to show up. You know, Digi definitely need
- 1:12:53to keep showing up more. He definitely needs to come up.
- 1:12:59Martine's there, you know, the, the Zeki's there.
- 1:13:04You know, Mark definitely need to show up.
- 1:13:11Pekko definitely need to show up.
- 1:13:12I mean, he's already don't even know where he's at.
- 1:13:18You know, those guys definitely need to show up.
- 1:13:21Those those top guys definitely need to maybe Alex may show up
- 1:13:25back up again and not have a one hit wonder, you know, So we'll
- 1:13:31see as this is this season is kind of like weird is up in the
- 1:13:36air. Right.
- 1:13:38The other interesting thing, I realize that in Le Mans the last
- 1:13:428-3 years, it's been a different right every year.
- 1:13:44That's one. So no one has done back-to-back
- 1:13:47as as in the last eight years as well, which is pretty, which is
- 1:13:50a weird stat because you know, for some of these writers that
- 1:13:54dominate you, you would think it you would think they'll at least
- 1:13:57get a couple of back-to-back at Lamont's.
- 1:13:59What do you what do you expect to see?
- 1:14:00Lewis, man? I expect to see the wet weather
- 1:14:04specialists coming to the top, so I expect to see a Mark
- 1:14:08Marquez up at the front. I expect to see I haven't seen a
- 1:14:14ton out of out of Bizaki in the rain.
- 1:14:20That gives me a lot of like confidence in his abilities in
- 1:14:24the rain, to be honest with you. So we'll see.
- 1:14:27But I think it's, you know, if the weather stays were the way
- 1:14:31it looks like it's going to stay.
- 1:14:32Marquez is a wet weather specialist.
- 1:14:34He's a guy that always times his bike changes just to the right
- 1:14:38time. He's, you know, he's, he's
- 1:14:41probably the in the wet weather, he's probably the most
- 1:14:45calculated rider out there. I know that, you know, fans are
- 1:14:49going to think that Zarko has a chance because he won last year
- 1:14:52because it rained and because of the mixed editions.
- 1:14:55Honestly, I think Zarko is going to have a giant taste of gravel.
- 1:15:00Like for some reason, I just have a feeling that he's going
- 1:15:03to, he's going to collect a lot of gravel this weekend just
- 1:15:06because last weekend, last time this year, he, you know, he had
- 1:15:09a great event and he's just had this thing where he kind of
- 1:15:13overextends himself. So I think this weekend we'll
- 1:15:16see Mark doing well. We might see Acosta doing well.
- 1:15:22And if I had to pick a Black Horse, actually, somebody has
- 1:15:26done to lose. You know, it might be the time
- 1:15:29for Johann Zarko to show through.
- 1:15:30Man, if it rains, if it rains, that Yamaha has the ability to,
- 1:15:35you know, get up there and Zarko knows how to ride this track.
- 1:15:39You mean you mean you mean I mean Quadraro?
- 1:15:42Quadraro. Just checking.
- 1:15:46So I would say Marquez, Acosta, Quadraro, OK.
- 1:15:50All right, you know, it'll it'll be it's going to be interesting.
- 1:15:54I'm I'm I'm looking for digesting what you said, Louis,
- 1:15:58but it's going to be interesting to see what happened this
- 1:16:03weekend. Let's I so I was talking about
- 1:16:08this with some of the other guys on on one of the shows and I
- 1:16:13wanted to one of the guys brought up something I even
- 1:16:15think about. But you know, we, we talked
- 1:16:18about Agura going to Yamaha, going to Yamaha and, and, and
- 1:16:25so, you know, I'd pose the question like what, what
- 1:16:28happened? What could have happened for I
- 1:16:30agree with not to stay with go to Honda in the 1st place.
- 1:16:34And I forgot the year he he was the year before he won a
- 1:16:37championship in Moto 2. He was on the same team but
- 1:16:42Justin Moto 2 and didn't win it. So do you guys think that there
- 1:16:45was like a spat because he I mean, he he didn't re sign them
- 1:16:49or he left or something right. So something happened that they
- 1:16:52didn't stay on. So is this more of a personal
- 1:16:55thing? Why I agree was not signed
- 1:16:58signed with Honda in in the Michigan oil company.
- 1:17:06It's that's interesting. I know.
- 1:17:07One thing is I regard doesn't say much and it's kind of
- 1:17:11working to his advantage right now.
- 1:17:13So I don't know if he's holding a grudge or not.
- 1:17:18But as Lewis was saying, I'll show you, you have an
- 1:17:22opportunity to get a factory seat and that's where the
- 1:17:24money's at. Try to go take it and just adapt
- 1:17:28to the show around it from there.
- 1:17:30So, so yeah, I don't, I, I, I have no idea.
- 1:17:34I don't know if that's has something to do with it or not.
- 1:17:38Lately not to read. I mean, it's, it's kind of
- 1:17:42weird. I don't like you.
- 1:17:43Like TJ said, I don't know if there's a a grudge there.
- 1:17:46You know, we'll never know what's inside.
- 1:17:49But he said like Al Gore doesn't speak much.
- 1:17:52He kind of keeps himself. He keeps quiet, which is good in
- 1:17:54a sense, you know that you keep out of the media, keep a lot of
- 1:17:57things you know in house, which needs to be in house.
- 1:18:01AKA Spanish. Right.
- 1:18:04He's not that. So he does speak to himself, you
- 1:18:08know, and then then again, you know it, it's that factory seat,
- 1:18:12that factory seat everybody wants.
- 1:18:15Everybody wants that factory seat no matter what it is, no
- 1:18:17matter how it is. That factory seat does play a
- 1:18:20big part in everybody's, you know, picking if you can get it,
- 1:18:23they going to take it. All right, Raul Quattara is
- 1:18:26leaving it. What are your thoughts, Louis,
- 1:18:28man, I mean, this is is is this some, you know, some conspiracy
- 1:18:34or there's some validity towards what?
- 1:18:36What? You know why I gurus didn't go
- 1:18:38with Honda? I well, I think one of the
- 1:18:41reasons he didn't go to Honda is because if, if the rumors hold
- 1:18:44true and Jorge Martinez going to be on the factory Honda and then
- 1:18:50his teammate, let's say you end up being his teammate.
- 1:18:53Whoever Jorge Martinez room teammate is is a placeholder for
- 1:19:00Diego Moreira because Honda didn't pay all that money to
- 1:19:03bring Diego Moreira into a satellite bike and leave him
- 1:19:06there forever like they're hope. I yeah, but I think my team's
- 1:19:12going to supposed to be going to Yamaha next.
- 1:19:16Year Yamaha. Cuatro, I'm sorry.
- 1:19:19Yeah. Cuatro is going to Honda, yeah.
- 1:19:21So whoever is going to be his teammate is going to be a short
- 1:19:25term solution because I don't think Honda paid all the money
- 1:19:28to get Diego Marrero onto a Honda to keep him on a satellite
- 1:19:31bike forever. Right.
- 1:19:33You know, so if I have the opportunity to go to Honda or
- 1:19:37Yamaha, Honda is the better package right now.
- 1:19:41Hopefully Yamaha comes along. If I go to Honda, my teammate is
- 1:19:45going to be Quadraro, but I might be just be a placeholder
- 1:19:49because there's this young kid, Diego Mara that they really want
- 1:19:52to put on the factory bike, right?
- 1:19:55Like they didn't, you know, so, so, so now you're expecting, now
- 1:20:00your expectations at Honda are going to be very, very high
- 1:20:03because if you don't meet those expectations, you got this young
- 1:20:05kid that's ready to take your spot.
- 1:20:07Whereas if you go to Yamaha, let's be honest, expectations
- 1:20:10are high, but they're not that high because they know that
- 1:20:13their bike is behind the 8 ball. And you know, no, no disrespect
- 1:20:18to Diego Marira, but like Igur won a world title to Moto 2, you
- 1:20:23know what I'm saying? He's he's has a better record as
- 1:20:26a Rook coming out than than than than Diego.
- 1:20:30On a significantly better bike come.
- 1:20:32On Come on. Here we go again.
- 1:20:33Listen man, just because my blood.
- 1:20:37Think about it. No, but seriously think about
- 1:20:39think about how a premier riders have done in general over the
- 1:20:43past two years and how Honda riders in general have done over
- 1:20:46the past two years. We've only had one or two
- 1:20:49flashes of brilliance for Honda. 1 was a rain race that was won
- 1:20:53by Johann Zarko and then a couple of top 10 finishes.
- 1:20:57But the Hondas haven't been doing that great, whereas the
- 1:21:01Aprilia's every single guy in Aprilia has won a race except
- 1:21:07for Agoura. Even Fernandez, What's his name?
- 1:21:12Fernandez, you're right. Fernandez, He won a race.
- 1:21:17Yeah, finally what he did. But still, he would have never
- 1:21:20won that on any other bike. He's he's on the best bike on
- 1:21:23the grid. So let's see what happens when
- 1:21:25he's not on the best bike on the grid.
- 1:21:28You know, you're taking, you're taking, you're taking a big
- 1:21:30gamble taking him because right now he looks great because he's
- 1:21:33on a great bike. What happens when he has to work
- 1:21:36around the struggles of a bike? Is he going to be able to do?
- 1:21:39Is he going to end up like Diego Marrero where he's struggling on
- 1:21:42a bike that's not a great bike? Now you put him on a Yamaha,
- 1:21:45it's not a great bike. He's not going to be doing the
- 1:21:47same thing he's doing on Aprilia.
- 1:21:49So for for Agora, I don't think it has anything to do with like
- 1:21:52pass anything. It's hey, I got AI got a
- 1:21:55contract in my hand for a factory ride with Yamaha.
- 1:22:01Even if I finish in 10th place every race, I still get factory
- 1:22:04money. I still get all the no variety.
- 1:22:07Everything gets paid. I'm making a lot of money and I
- 1:22:09got a great opportunity. You know, what is it, one in the
- 1:22:13hand versus 6 in the Bush? I got one in the hand right
- 1:22:15here, man. I'm signing this contract.
- 1:22:17It depends on the Bush. Man.
- 1:22:24Who knows what's in the Bush? With that guys, we won't get out
- 1:22:31of here, but let's I, I let's I I think we all know the scores
- 1:22:35from last time, but let let's let's go around the horn and
- 1:22:38and, you know, call out who is your your your picks for the
- 1:22:42Sprint and for the main race. And TJ, do you?
- 1:22:49Need to wait? Do we know the weather this
- 1:22:52weekend? What?
- 1:22:54Rain. Don't lie to me.
- 1:22:57Rain Possibility of rain all weekend.
- 1:23:01All right, right, right, right. I think it was still going.
- 1:23:05Mark Marquez, I'm going to go with.
- 1:23:12I still think that Zeki's going to find his way, you know, And
- 1:23:16then I think Pedro Constant is going to be up there.
- 1:23:19I've seen his results from the past couple years.
- 1:23:21So I think Pedro will be up there.
- 1:23:24I think that'll be for the GP race.
- 1:23:26For the Sprint, I want to say Mark, Jorge, Martine and let's
- 1:23:36say Zarko. OK, I don't pick Zarko for the
- 1:23:41long race, but all right, what do you, what do you got?
- 1:23:46I got Mark in the Sprint I got. I'm going to go with Martine and
- 1:24:00I'm going to go with Zarko. OK, that's that's not bad.
- 1:24:07The GP I'm definitely still going to go with Mark because he
- 1:24:10he know that I'm going to go to Bez doesn't show nothing on
- 1:24:17Saturdays, but maybe he could sell something on Sunday.
- 1:24:19So I'm going to have to get Bez in there and I'm going to have
- 1:24:23to go with damn with maybe Agora.
- 1:24:38Let's go, Agora. All right, All right.
- 1:24:40I like that. All right, Louis.
- 1:24:43I mean, you, you, you. I think you got some decisions
- 1:24:46to make. Yep.
- 1:24:49So for the Sprint, I'm going to go, I'm going to go Mark Bezeki
- 1:24:53Acosta for the Sprint and for the race I'm going to go Mark
- 1:25:02Acosta and Quadraro. OK, OK, whoa.
- 1:25:07That's what's up. I, I think, I think, I think
- 1:25:12Saturday is going to be a shit show with the rain.
- 1:25:15And if it stays that way, like I really think this is, you know,
- 1:25:19cuatro is, is dying to win that that hometown half a second is a
- 1:25:23real thing. And in the rain, all things
- 1:25:26being equal, I think he's going to make up that gap that he has
- 1:25:30to the other bikes that he can't make up in the dry.
- 1:25:32He can make it up in the rain. I like the sound of that.
- 1:25:37Because you picked Quatararo in the Sprint, I'm going to pick
- 1:25:41Zarko in the Sprint. I wasn't going to pick him, but
- 1:25:43I'll pick Zarko in the Sprint. I'm going to pick Mark in the
- 1:25:45Sprint and I'll pick Martine in the Sprint.
- 1:25:50In the main race, I'm all Aprilia Bez Martine Agura man.
- 1:25:58Lock out. There's going to be a lot of
- 1:26:02crying on Sunday, a lot of rain. They ain't let me down last
- 1:26:09night. Gods are going to be crying on
- 1:26:12Sunday, man. Yeah, that track is going to
- 1:26:17look like an ice skating ring. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:26:21Well, you know, we'll see. That's what makes it fun.
- 1:26:23We got to, we got to show up and well, we don't have to show up.
- 1:26:26We just got to watch. Exactly.
- 1:26:29I just got to watch, then I got a, then I got a flight.
- 1:26:32That's it. Right and make it happen.
- 1:26:35Looking forward to it. It's nice to have motorcycle
- 1:26:37racing back. I want to thank you guys for
- 1:26:39coming on TJ two wheels and coffee Reese from attack Yamaha,
