- 0:00Speaker 1: You just heard the news. Now you'll find out what
- 0:03Speaker 1: it all means. Hey, smarts amone on seven tenor.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Hey it's Friday. It's going to be a beautiful weekend,
- 0:15Speaker 2: bright sunshine today, it's going to be nice at all weekend.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Make up for last weekend. A lot to get you today.
- 0:20Speaker 2: We'll get you all caught up on everything. I'll give
- 0:22Speaker 2: you some inside details nobody else has, and you'll sound
- 0:26Speaker 2: much smarter tonight. Take notes, You'll you'll know all kinds
- 0:28Speaker 2: of stuff by the time we're done. And so President
- 0:33Speaker 2: Trump waiting to take a look at this Iran deal.
- 0:37Speaker 2: A deal has been reached. Not a good deal because
- 0:41Speaker 2: it doesn't look like it solves the nuclear problem. It
- 0:43Speaker 2: sounds like it kicks the can down the road a
- 0:45Speaker 2: few weeks. But why the delay, I mean, it doesn't
- 0:50Speaker 2: sound good to me. Why even think about it? Well,
- 0:53Speaker 2: there's all kinds of voices in his head right now,
- 0:55Speaker 2: he's got to straighten this out. In fact, he's not
- 0:58Speaker 2: going away this weekend. Usually does. He'll stay at the
- 1:01Speaker 2: White House all weekend and work on this. All these
- 1:03Speaker 2: voices in his head. You know, the military guys, the
- 1:06Speaker 2: State Department guys, the Jared kind of guys. They're all
- 1:12Speaker 2: telling them what to do, so he's got to sort
- 1:13Speaker 2: this all out in his head. The deal would be
- 1:17Speaker 2: pretty good except two major things. One, they still have
- 1:22Speaker 2: their nuclear dust, and it would reopen the straight of
- 1:25Speaker 2: horn Moose, which is not the best thing I know.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Gas prices are high, although they've come down sixteen cents
- 1:31Speaker 2: this past week. But as long as those streets are closed,
- 1:34Speaker 2: Iran is totally without revenue. Their economy is stalled, stopped,
- 1:40Speaker 2: no revenue coming in. And from what we're hearing, they
- 1:43Speaker 2: really only got about two weeks left to go before
- 1:46Speaker 2: they're totally out of everything, so they need some revenue
- 1:49Speaker 2: coming in now. As far as the nuclear dust, we
- 1:52Speaker 2: could get it. We could go pick it up. That's
- 1:55Speaker 2: got to be part of the final agreement that they
- 1:57Speaker 2: hand it over. There's three ways to do that. One
- 2:00Speaker 2: is they hand it over to us, We go in
- 2:03Speaker 2: and pick it up. We have teams that are experts
- 2:06Speaker 2: at doing that, getting it out of the ground. We
- 2:08Speaker 2: did it in Libya years ago. They know how to
- 2:11Speaker 2: do that. They get it out of the ground, they
- 2:12Speaker 2: bring it out of there. Option number two is we
- 2:16Speaker 2: go in there and destroy it where it is destroy
- 2:19Speaker 2: it within Iran, just wipe it out and destroy the stuff.
- 2:22Speaker 2: Number three is they would hand it to another country
- 2:26Speaker 2: to be eventually destroyed of it. But the problem is
- 2:28Speaker 2: the country's on the list, not countries we trust, Turkey,
- 2:32Speaker 2: of Russia, China, those sort of countries. So that's the
- 2:36Speaker 2: one problem the nuclear dust. The other problem is once
- 2:38Speaker 2: you open the Straight of horn Moose, Iran suddenly has
- 2:41Speaker 2: five hundred million dollars a day coming into the country.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Suddenly it has a lot of revenue coming in. Now
- 2:48Speaker 2: we're holding besides keeping the Straight closed and shutting down
- 2:52Speaker 2: their economy, we're holding their money. We've got it all
- 2:55Speaker 2: blocked up, hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of billions of
- 2:59Speaker 2: dollars in a row money. Yesterday the press briefing Caroline Levitt,
- 3:03Speaker 2: Press Secretary on maternity leave, Scott Besson filled in was
- 3:07Speaker 2: asked about that the money.
- 3:09Speaker 3: It is a multifaceted agreement and nothing is going to
- 3:14Speaker 3: be on the table until we see the Strait of
- 3:16Speaker 3: Remoovese open and the Iranians agree that they have to
- 3:22Speaker 3: turn over the high Land rest ranium and that they can't.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Have a nuclear program. Yeah, it doesn't look like that's
- 3:29Speaker 2: all in the agreement, though obviously there's a lot of
- 3:33Speaker 2: pressure from all the other countries. We don't need the
- 3:35Speaker 2: oil out of the Strait of Horme Mooves. We don't
- 3:37Speaker 2: use oil from the Straight of horn Moose, but the
- 3:40Speaker 2: other countries do and it does raise the worldwide price.
- 3:43Speaker 2: China gets fifty percent of its oil from the Strait
- 3:46Speaker 2: of horn Moose. So it's important to them that the
- 3:48Speaker 2: other voices in the President Trump's had. The Iranian government,
- 3:51Speaker 2: such as it is, is three pillars. It is the
- 3:55Speaker 2: elected government, it is the IRGC, and it is the
- 3:59Speaker 2: cleric and they are having trouble communicating. So we are
- 4:05Speaker 2: being patient. We do not have unlimited patient. Yeah. Now
- 4:09Speaker 2: the problem is, as they say, our president's got a
- 4:13Speaker 2: thousand voices in his head. He's got to sort that out.
- 4:16Speaker 2: And then they've got to go to their president, who
- 4:18Speaker 2: is the son of the Ayasole badly wounded in the
- 4:22Speaker 2: initial bombings, and he's deep in hiding somewhere like underground,
- 4:26Speaker 2: a cave something like that, so they need his sign
- 4:30Speaker 2: off on it, and the problem is apparently communicating with him,
- 4:34Speaker 2: the Iranians. It's not like you can text them or
- 4:36Speaker 2: call him up. It's not like you can go on
- 4:38Speaker 2: zoom and talk to him.
- 4:39Speaker 4: He is.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Buried underground or wherever you is. So apparently they have
- 4:43Speaker 2: to use a series of couriers who go through the
- 4:48Speaker 2: most remote, crazy stuff to get to him and come back.
- 4:51Speaker 2: So that's another reason for all these delays. Hey, yes,
- 4:54Speaker 2: Scott Bessant wasn't as good as the best at filling
- 4:57Speaker 2: in for the press secretary was Rubio sing funny sharp
- 5:03Speaker 2: jd Vance then did a couple of weeks say it
- 5:05Speaker 2: was okay, he wasn't as good as Rubio, but besn't
- 5:09Speaker 2: at a couple of good moments they were asking him about.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Gavin Newsom.
- 5:12Speaker 5: Governor Gavin Newsom has floated this idea of a one
- 5:15Speaker 5: hundred percent stay tax on Californians who would received money
- 5:18Speaker 5: from President Trump's anti weaponization fund. Your response to the
- 5:22Speaker 5: Governor's call from from seven.
- 5:24Speaker 3: There's no cure for stupid.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Yeah. President Trump wants to set up that fund to
- 5:31Speaker 2: repay people that were, you know, just totally ruined by
- 5:35Speaker 2: the weaponization of government. So Newsom said he'll put one
- 5:38Speaker 2: hundred percent tax. In other words, he'll seize all the money.
- 5:41Speaker 2: There's no cure for stupid.
- 5:43Speaker 6: I like that.
- 5:44Speaker 2: I like that. So that's the thing that these Democrats.
- 5:47Speaker 2: They yell and scream that the worst thing is greed.
- 5:50Speaker 2: That's the problem with America. Greed. Then they tell you
- 5:54Speaker 2: give us ninety percent of your money, give me ninety
- 5:56Speaker 2: percent of your income. So best not bad yesterday. Lots
- 6:02Speaker 2: of stuff going on with Joe Biden. You're going to
- 6:04Speaker 2: see a big Joe Biden weekend. The reason is Jill
- 6:06Speaker 2: Biden has a book coming out. Joe Biden has a
- 6:08Speaker 2: book coming out. There's no interest in the Bidens from anybody,
- 6:12Speaker 2: Republican or Democrats, so they're trying to drum up some controversy,
- 6:17Speaker 2: some interest. That's why you'll see this. Jill Biden interviews
- 6:21Speaker 2: CBS this Sunday where she said she was watching the
- 6:24Speaker 2: debate the way Joe was, she thought he was having
- 6:29Speaker 2: a stroke. Now this is a lie. People ask was
- 6:32Speaker 2: she lying back then or she lying now? She's lying now.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Joe was like that all the time. He was always
- 6:37Speaker 2: like a frozen vegetable, doesn't know what he's saying or
- 6:40Speaker 2: where he is. So the reason she's saying, oh, I
- 6:43Speaker 2: thought he was having a stroke is to make it
- 6:44Speaker 2: sound like it was so unusual that behavior that she
- 6:49Speaker 2: was horrified. That was the way he was every day,
- 6:53Speaker 2: every day. So she's lying now. Now, remember he's the
- 6:57Speaker 2: president of the United States. During that debate, he's all
- 6:59Speaker 2: screwed up, can't talk, can't finish the sentence. She thinks
- 7:02Speaker 2: he's having a stroke. The President United States always has
- 7:05Speaker 2: a doctor. President in that big entourage, there's always a doctor.
- 7:09Speaker 2: There's a great medical facility right in the White House.
- 7:12Speaker 2: They can go right back to the White House where
- 7:13Speaker 2: there's a whole team of doctors. They could go right
- 7:16Speaker 2: to Walter Reed where there's a presidential ring wing filled
- 7:20Speaker 2: with doctors. If you thought your husband was having a stroke,
- 7:26Speaker 2: if you really thought that, the second the debate was over,
- 7:29Speaker 2: you would take him immediately to a doctor, or you'd
- 7:31Speaker 2: go get a doctor from the entourage. He could come
- 7:34Speaker 2: right over. President Trump does that sometimes if if he's
- 7:38Speaker 2: on Air Force one and somebody's trying to talk to
- 7:40Speaker 2: him and they're coughing. You know, he's paranoid of germs,
- 7:43Speaker 2: doesn't want to get a cold. He goes go to
- 7:45Speaker 2: the doc, go right go down the hall, go to
- 7:47Speaker 2: the third door, and let go in there and I'll
- 7:49Speaker 2: have the doctor check him out before he continues talking
- 7:51Speaker 2: to him. So she didn't take him to the doctor.
- 7:55Speaker 2: She didn't get the doctor to take a look at him.
- 7:57Speaker 2: She thinks he's having a stroke. There's doctors around, doesn't
- 8:00Speaker 2: have them look at him. Instead, Remember what she did
- 8:02Speaker 2: after the debate. Remember she went on TV and he
- 8:05Speaker 2: was Joe, you were brilliant, He answered everything perfectly, and
- 8:07Speaker 2: then she took him to a party at the waffle house.
- 8:12Speaker 2: If you thought he was having a stroke, would you
- 8:13Speaker 2: take into a big, crowded, noisy party. Absolutely not. So
- 8:17Speaker 2: she's lying. Now Biden's lie about everything all the time.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Now here's what's the real problem for the Biden's Nobody
- 8:27Speaker 2: anywhere is defending them. Nobody is defending them, Nobody from
- 8:33Speaker 2: their administration, nobody anywhere publicly. They've got absolutely no support
- 8:39Speaker 2: from any But we've never seen this with the next president.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Even Nixon, who resigned in disgrace, had people defending him.
- 8:47Speaker 2: There were a lot of people defending him, but there's
- 8:51Speaker 2: nobody anywhere, Republican or Democrat, defending Joe Biden. And remember
- 8:58Speaker 2: there's a lot of his people that he hired, he
- 9:01Speaker 2: made their careers. Kareem John Pierre, others, you know, people
- 9:05Speaker 2: like that. He put them on the map, and they're
- 9:07Speaker 2: now on MSNBC, they're on CNN, even they're not defending him.
- 9:11Speaker 2: One of the reasons is they well, two reasons when
- 9:14Speaker 2: they can't stand the guy. He was a nasty, nasty
- 9:16Speaker 2: guy behind the scenes, nasty, vicious, cursing, screaming, and everybody,
- 9:21Speaker 2: even the New York Times was forced to write an
- 9:23Speaker 2: article about that once. But the other problem is, back then,
- 9:27Speaker 2: they were all defending him. They were all lying and
- 9:29Speaker 2: covering up for him, saying he's fine. Remember Gavin Newsom.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Remember Newsom said I talked to him all the time,
- 9:35Speaker 2: sharpest can be. Remember Joe Scarborough's famous clip, the best
- 9:40Speaker 2: smartest of Biden ever. So they were all lying, and
- 9:43Speaker 2: they don't ever want to talk about it. They don't
- 9:45Speaker 2: ever want to bring it up again. Remember you remember
- 9:49Speaker 2: that crazy Chris Coons who back then, Coons going on
- 9:55Speaker 2: and on about how sharp Biden was. Let's hear him now.
- 9:58Speaker 7: I was with President earlier today.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Okay, this is how much he lied back then. This
- 10:03Speaker 2: is Chris Coon's back then.
- 10:05Speaker 7: I was with President Biden earlier today. We are at
- 10:08Speaker 7: the funeral of a friend of ours, someone who long
- 10:10Speaker 7: served as the mayor of Wilmington, and he's fine. I
- 10:15Speaker 7: see regular incidents where President Trump falls asleep in meetings
- 10:19Speaker 7: in the middle of the day.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Makes no sense.
- 10:21Speaker 7: In answering questions, he.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Makes no sense. He'll stand there and do a press
- 10:26Speaker 2: commons for two hours and twenty minutes. Make perfect sense.
- 10:29Speaker 2: The falling asleep again, I know a lot of billionaires.
- 10:32Speaker 2: They all fall asleep at the table. Why they never sleep.
- 10:36Speaker 2: They're up all night and if they sleep at night,
- 10:38Speaker 2: they sleep for an hour. They get up there on
- 10:40Speaker 2: the phone, the computer, they go back to sleep, there,
- 10:43Speaker 2: get up, they just keep getting up. It's like almost
- 10:46Speaker 2: like sleep apnea. Then they're falling asleep during the day.
- 10:49Speaker 2: But it's not a sign of anything. Hey, the Israeli
- 10:52Speaker 2: Day Parade is this Sunday. It's a wonderful important event
- 10:55Speaker 2: in New York. No mayor has ever skipped that parade.
- 10:59Speaker 2: It's too important, has too much meaning. You can't skip
- 11:02Speaker 2: that parade. But now we got crazy anti Semitic, anti
- 11:08Speaker 2: israel mom Donnie. He's going to be the first mayor,
- 11:12Speaker 2: and I think since the parade began to skip the parade,
- 11:18Speaker 2: he will not be at the Israeli DA parade. This
- 11:20Speaker 2: is a terrible thing. It's just awful. Mom, Donnie tried
- 11:25Speaker 2: to explain it.
- 11:26Speaker 8: I said on the campaign trail that I wouldn't be
- 11:29Speaker 8: attending the parade, and I've made my views on the
- 11:32Speaker 8: Israeli government abundantly clear. And I also said on that
- 11:36Speaker 8: same campaign that I would have a responsibility as the
- 11:39Speaker 8: mayor of the city to ensure the safety and security
- 11:42Speaker 8: of each and every New Yorker.
- 11:43Speaker 2: All Right, so supposedly it's safe. You got the Police
- 11:46Speaker 2: Department saying it's safe. Commissioner Jessica Tish not only says
- 11:50Speaker 2: it safe, she said she will march in the parade herself.
- 11:54Speaker 2: As she actually said, I will proudly march in the parade.
- 11:58Speaker 2: So I think you can be Yeah, I think you
- 12:01Speaker 2: can be sure. It'll be a very very safe parade. Mom,
- 12:04Speaker 2: Donnie not going it's an insult to Israel. But on
- 12:07Speaker 2: the other hand, it's kind of a blessing because everybody
- 12:09Speaker 2: can't stand him. Nobody really wants him there. Remember, he's
- 12:13Speaker 2: not going to go because and he says he doesn't
- 12:15Speaker 2: support Israel. He thinks they're He just spews out these
- 12:19Speaker 2: crazy things he said, they're committing genocide, all kinds of crazy,
- 12:22Speaker 2: anti Semitic nonsense. But the other problem is, and I'm
- 12:25Speaker 2: sure he's talked about this with his staff, maybe they
- 12:27Speaker 2: thought of going, but he'll get booed like crazy. So
- 12:30Speaker 2: what's the point even if he wanted to be big
- 12:33Speaker 2: about it and go, He's just going to get booed
- 12:37Speaker 2: like crazy. He was also asked President Trump is going
- 12:41Speaker 2: to come to the Knicks game the championship series. No
- 12:44Speaker 2: president has ever gone to a NBA championship, but Trump will.
- 12:48Speaker 2: He was the first president to go to a super Bowl.
- 12:50Speaker 2: He'll go to the NBA Championship. Mom, Donnie is sort
- 12:53Speaker 2: of a nick fan. He will go. And they asked
- 12:55Speaker 2: will he sit with the president? And he kind of
- 12:58Speaker 2: hemmed and hat about it. But you know, again, I
- 13:02Speaker 2: know you're filled with hate for Israel, hate for this,
- 13:04Speaker 2: hate for that, But you're you're the mayor, supposed to
- 13:06Speaker 2: sit with the president, supposed to work with the president,
- 13:09Speaker 2: get money, get deals, get stuff for New York. Kathy
- 13:13Speaker 2: Hokel so embarrassing for her when Trump talked about going
- 13:17Speaker 2: to the Knicks game. Being Kathy Hokle, she just knee
- 13:21Speaker 2: jerk gave a stupid reaction, made a dumb comment. He
- 13:25Speaker 2: claims he's a Knick fan. Let's see him name the
- 13:27Speaker 2: starting Well, I guess she just assumed he's always in
- 13:30Speaker 2: her mind, he's always lying, he's not a Knicks fan,
- 13:33Speaker 2: and typical Kathy Hokle, never checked the facts, never do
- 13:36Speaker 2: any homework, never do any research. If you did a
- 13:39Speaker 2: little research, you'd find out Trump is a huge Knicks fan,
- 13:43Speaker 2: always has been. Ever since she made that dumb comment,
- 13:46Speaker 2: people are posting online hundreds of pictures of Trump at
- 13:50Speaker 2: Nick games, sitting in the front row with lots of
- 13:53Speaker 2: Nick games, so you can find him online. The picture
- 13:55Speaker 2: of him sitting with Bill O'Reilly at the Knicks game.
- 13:57Speaker 2: Picture him with JFK. Junior right before the at a
- 14:00Speaker 2: Knicks game. Picture him with John McEnroe at a Knicks game.
- 14:05Speaker 2: He's always always been a Knicks fan. Many, many, many
- 14:09Speaker 2: pictures at Knicks games, and some of them are out
- 14:12Speaker 2: of town, which means he traveled to go see a
- 14:15Speaker 2: Knicks game. And I remember he had the Knicks on
- 14:18Speaker 2: the Apprentice, talked about them a lot. You can you
- 14:21Speaker 2: can be sure he was always a huge Knicks fan.
- 14:25Speaker 2: So anyway, We've got a lot to get to this morning.
- 14:28Speaker 2: We'll get to sixty minutes. They had the blood baths,
- 14:31Speaker 2: started cleaning house, getting rid of all those people. They're
- 14:34Speaker 2: yelling and screaming. Ratings are up nine percent from last year. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 2: but they're down like fifty percent from where they were.
- 14:42Speaker 2: So and the other reason they're up nine percent this year,
- 14:46Speaker 2: you're on right after football. You know, if you do,
- 14:48Speaker 2: if you separate it half the time, Sixty Minutes is
- 14:51Speaker 2: on right after a big football game, and the ratings
- 14:53Speaker 2: are big. Separate the games where there was no football.
- 14:57Speaker 2: It's a it's a whole different story there. So, uh,
- 15:00Speaker 2: they'll they'll keep cleaning the house there. But we'll get
- 15:03Speaker 2: to that. Coming up. We'll get the dot cake. We'll
- 15:05Speaker 2: get to a whole lot more. Just ahead, Hey, we'll
- 15:09Speaker 2: take some calls next. Eight hundred three to two one
- 15:12Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three to
- 15:15Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Get hiss in access to Mark by setting a pre
- 15:21Speaker 1: set in the iHeartRadio app for his live show and
- 15:24Speaker 1: his podcast. Now back to the Mark Simone Show on wor.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Hey, We'll take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:34Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 15:37Speaker 2: one zero seven ten. Let's go to uh Joe in
- 15:42Speaker 2: New Jersey. Joe, how you doing? Wait a minute, let
- 15:47Speaker 2: me push it again. Joe, how you doing?
- 15:49Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark?
- 15:50Speaker 4: How are you good?
- 15:52Speaker 10: Mark?
- 15:53Speaker 9: Talking about the agreement? Everything? Everything? Two weeks, two weeks.
- 15:57Speaker 9: They're running out of our storage for so when is
- 16:01Speaker 9: the straight Scoop going to come out?
- 16:02Speaker 2: It's already out, it's already been out there. They are
- 16:08Speaker 2: out of storage facilities. They got about maybe another week
- 16:11Speaker 2: and a half where they're totally out of revenue. And
- 16:14Speaker 2: the problem is when you're out of storage facilities. Straight
- 16:18Speaker 2: at hor Moose Clothes, they can't export their oil when
- 16:20Speaker 2: you're out of storage facilities. What they've been doing, they're
- 16:24Speaker 2: actually out. They've actually ran out about about three now,
- 16:28Speaker 2: about four weeks ago. They ran out of storage space,
- 16:31Speaker 2: so they were using tankers. They would take all these
- 16:33Speaker 2: tankers and load them up with oil. So instead of
- 16:36Speaker 2: the storage space the tanks, they were putting them on
- 16:39Speaker 2: these tankers. And it looks like they just about run
- 16:42Speaker 2: out of tankers now, so they don't have any more
- 16:45Speaker 2: tankers to store them on. So they really needed to
- 16:47Speaker 2: open because once you are totally out of storage space.
- 16:50Speaker 2: You got to shut down the wells, and once you
- 16:52Speaker 2: shut them down, they dry up and it can take
- 16:55Speaker 2: a year to get them going again. Let's go to
- 16:57Speaker 2: Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing?
- 17:00Speaker 9: Good morning?
- 17:01Speaker 4: Mark?
- 17:01Speaker 6: Yes, Mike, I had a Sinatra question for you too.
- 17:05Speaker 6: Actually one how many times was he on Carson? Were
- 17:07Speaker 6: they friends? And I was recently on YouTube scrolling through
- 17:13Speaker 6: stuff and I came across a couple of videos with
- 17:15Speaker 6: him with the singer Dagmark. What was the story behind that.
- 17:21Speaker 2: We'll start with Carson. Yeah, he started with Carson. He
- 17:24Speaker 2: was on in nineteen sixty four, Joey Bishop was the
- 17:27Speaker 2: guest host, came on with Sammy Davis. He was then
- 17:30Speaker 2: on again late sixty five, came on with Dean Martin.
- 17:36Speaker 2: Then next time was the famous remember he was a
- 17:41Speaker 2: guest and Don Rickles came on. Surprised him. Yes, go
- 17:45Speaker 2: watch it on YouTube. Sinatra Wrickles. That was the other time,
- 17:48Speaker 2: and then one time he filled in as a guest host.
- 17:51Speaker 9: Oh really that one.
- 17:52Speaker 6: I didn't know.
- 17:53Speaker 2: It's up on YouTube. He filled in as a guest
- 17:55Speaker 2: host and Rickles was a guest I'm Carol O'Connor and
- 17:59Speaker 2: Angie Dickens, and he wasn't. It's a great show because
- 18:01Speaker 2: the Rickles and everything, but he wasn't the best host.
- 18:04Speaker 2: He's not a talk show. Dagmar was. It was an
- 18:08Speaker 2: interesting period. Sinatra superstar in the forties, singing the great standards,
- 18:13Speaker 2: the great Gershwin, cold Portis. And then there's remember Mitch.
- 18:16Speaker 6: Miller, Yes, yeah, he was like Columbia Records, Capitol Records.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Well, Columbia. He becomes the president of Columbia. Some people
- 18:23Speaker 2: blame him, some people it wasn't his fault. That was
- 18:25Speaker 2: happening anyway. All of a sudden, the trend was, no
- 18:27Speaker 2: more of these serious things, novelty records. How much is
- 18:30Speaker 2: that doggie in the window? That kind of nonsense. So
- 18:34Speaker 2: they Mitch Miller was the head of Columbia. That was
- 18:37Speaker 2: Sinatra's recording. He made Sinatra record that stuff. And the
- 18:40Speaker 2: worst one was with Dagmar, who was a TV star
- 18:43Speaker 2: at that time. It was called Mama Will Bark, Where
- 18:48Speaker 2: they bark, They bark like a dog on there, and
- 18:53Speaker 2: it ruined Sinatra's career. Now a lot of people blame
- 18:55Speaker 2: Mitch Miller for rock and roll, believe it or not.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Back then, they said, if it hadn't been for the
- 19:00Speaker 2: recording industry going silly with the stupid novelty songs, rock
- 19:04Speaker 2: and roll wouldn't have been able to rise up and
- 19:06Speaker 2: take over, which you do.
- 19:07Speaker 4: That's interesting theory.
- 19:09Speaker 6: I don't know if that's true, but.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a theory. Now. One day I was with
- 19:14Speaker 2: Sinatra the lobby of the Walldorf. You know how that
- 19:17Speaker 2: lobby is like a mile long, like from Park all
- 19:20Speaker 2: the elections about five miles away. In that lobby, I
- 19:23Speaker 2: see an old guy walking. I realized it's Mitch Miller,
- 19:27Speaker 2: and I said to that's Mitch Miller. He goes what?
- 19:30Speaker 2: And as he got closer, Mitch Miller sees Frank Sinatra.
- 19:33Speaker 2: This is forty years laus, Frank, how are you? And
- 19:35Speaker 2: Sinatra goes keep walking.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Pal not one to hold the grudge, you.
- 19:42Speaker 2: Know, you gotta give him credit. That's a great guy,
- 19:45Speaker 2: a man of principal holds the grudge. As somebody said
- 19:48Speaker 2: he when he had the Alzheimer's, he said, it's Sicilian Alzheimer's.
- 19:51Speaker 2: He only remembers the grudges. So all right, thanks for
- 19:56Speaker 2: calling Mike. Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn Vincent, how
- 19:59Speaker 2: you doing.
- 20:00Speaker 9: Good morning, Mark, Good morning Matter. And also Mitch Miller
- 20:03Speaker 9: made all those records. He had that TV show. Yeah
- 20:06Speaker 9: along with Mitch.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's he became.
- 20:08Speaker 9: He had all those Mitch Miller records, which my father
- 20:12Speaker 9: practically he had every one of them. Market's really great
- 20:17Speaker 9: that you're doing the Lincoln Tech commercials, and last night
- 20:20Speaker 9: I got to think, and that's great that there's a
- 20:22Speaker 9: company picking up the slack of trades that they used
- 20:27Speaker 9: to teach in New York City vocational schools that now
- 20:31Speaker 9: all they teach is walk nonsense. These kids run up
- 20:35Speaker 9: a quarter of a million dollar college bill and they
- 20:39Speaker 9: can't even come out and get a good job.
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yeah, no, Vincent, that's why we love Lincoln Tech. These
- 20:45Speaker 2: kind of schools, and they're the best of them. But
- 20:47Speaker 2: these kind of schools so important. You know, even even
- 20:51Speaker 2: professors tell me forty percent of the kids in college
- 20:53Speaker 2: shouldn't be in college. They should be in a tech
- 20:55Speaker 2: school learn the real trade. You go to a fancy college,
- 20:58Speaker 2: you end up with a degree in gender studies, and
- 21:01Speaker 2: you live in your parents' house for the next ten years.
- 21:03Speaker 2: You come out of Lincoln Tech, you got a skill,
- 21:05Speaker 2: You're a plumber, electrician, hvac whatever. You go right to
- 21:08Speaker 2: work and you're making a lot of money.
- 21:10Speaker 9: And it's really said that they once used to teach
- 21:13Speaker 9: this stuff in the trade schools. I mean probably these
- 21:17Speaker 9: kids they won't even know how to use a hammer
- 21:20Speaker 9: in the school driver. They probably break their fingers. And
- 21:23Speaker 9: another thing I want to say, who is the woman
- 21:26Speaker 9: on woah who does the commercial for your Fishtails restaurants
- 21:32Speaker 9: and she does all the rab Astarino commercials. What a
- 21:37Speaker 9: great voice.
- 21:37Speaker 2: You don't know who that is?
- 21:40Speaker 9: No, who is it?
- 21:41Speaker 2: Well the great radio stars. That's Maria Melito of Q
- 21:45Speaker 2: one oh four.
- 21:46Speaker 9: What a great what a great voice. I mean along
- 21:50Speaker 9: with your great Poto radio voice. What a great soothing,
- 21:57Speaker 9: calming voice. I just have to compliment on that, along
- 22:03Speaker 9: with the great Lincoln Tech commercial.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Yeah, but Maria Alito's a big radio start on Q
- 22:08Speaker 2: and O four. She's on right after Jim Kurve's got
- 22:09Speaker 2: an incredible voice. She's been on for years. Maria Milow.
- 22:13Speaker 9: I just had the compliment it because I also listen
- 22:17Speaker 9: when I listened to Rob Bastarino show and some of
- 22:20Speaker 9: the other shows, I noticed it. He says, Hey, that's
- 22:22Speaker 9: the same voice, and she does during your later in
- 22:27Speaker 9: the day, she does the commercials for that restaurant.
- 22:30Speaker 2: Yeah, well, we don't full around. I mean, we got
- 22:32Speaker 2: some top voice over guys, but we also use some
- 22:34Speaker 2: of the best radio voice we use jim My compliment.
- 22:38Speaker 2: All right, Vincent, great call, thanks for calling. We got
- 22:41Speaker 2: to take a break for the news. We'll talk to
- 22:43Speaker 2: the brilliant economist, smartest guy around, John Carney. He'll be
- 22:47Speaker 2: with us next on seven to ten WR.
- 22:51Speaker 1: The Mark Simone Show continues on sevent ten wor.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Well he bring you this smartest people around, John Karney
- 23:01Speaker 2: the business editor at breit Bart Bright breke Bart Business
- 23:04Speaker 2: Digest is something you should be reading every day. You
- 23:07Speaker 2: know breke bart dot com. But we go to Breitbart
- 23:10Speaker 2: dot com, go to the Business Digest. Smartest people Scott
- 23:14Speaker 2: Bess and Larry Cuddle. It's the first thing they read
- 23:16Speaker 2: every morning, breke Bart Business Digest. And when you go
- 23:20Speaker 2: to Breitbart dot com, go to Newsletters, click on that
- 23:24Speaker 2: and then sign up for the Business Digest. It's free.
- 23:26Speaker 2: It'll come write to your email every day. John Carney,
- 23:29Speaker 2: how you doing very good?
- 23:32Speaker 4: Thanks for having me. Mark.
- 23:33Speaker 2: Hey, I'm watching the Morning Joe, Apparently the whole economy
- 23:37Speaker 2: is in ruins, the brink of recession. The inflation numbers
- 23:42Speaker 2: came out, it's disaster. What's the real story.
- 23:46Speaker 4: So yeah, we're not anywhere near on the brink of recession.
- 23:53Speaker 4: In fact, the numbers that came out yesterday, Yes, inflation
- 23:56Speaker 4: picked up, and that's not great. Mostly it's gasoline because
- 24:01Speaker 4: of the strait of her moves. But the thing that's
- 24:03Speaker 4: really striking about it is that it hasn't actually taken
- 24:08Speaker 4: away from spending elsewhere in the economy. One of my
- 24:11Speaker 4: fears personally was that because people were having to put
- 24:15Speaker 4: so much money into their gas tanks that it might
- 24:18Speaker 4: they might start to pull back in other spending. But
- 24:20Speaker 4: we're not seeing that. The personal they called the personal
- 24:24Speaker 4: consumption expenditures, but basically consumer spending really showed that people
- 24:31Speaker 4: continue to spend money at all across the economy, and
- 24:36Speaker 4: that so far we're actually not seeing as much damage
- 24:40Speaker 4: as even you know, I'm pretty bullish on this Trump economy,
- 24:44Speaker 4: but this was better that I thought it would be.
- 24:48Speaker 4: You know, I'm not surprised, you know, Morning Joe, the
- 24:50Speaker 4: rest of it. Then I saw a pull recently fifty
- 24:53Speaker 4: five percent of Democrats think were already universe sessions. So
- 24:57Speaker 4: of course, you know, like you're going to see that
- 24:59Speaker 4: kind of stuff in the legacy media.
- 25:02Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I guess like when you read the New
- 25:03Speaker 2: York has finished, everybody's left. I'm looking at the housing numbers.
- 25:06Speaker 2: Rentals are up through the roof, condo sales are through
- 25:10Speaker 2: the roof.
- 25:11Speaker 4: So you can't you can't walk down Sixth Avenue in
- 25:14Speaker 4: Midtown like well, you know it's the streets are so
- 25:17Speaker 4: crowded in New York's not there.
- 25:18Speaker 2: No, Now we got a new FED chairman. When does
- 25:22Speaker 2: he actually start to do to anything.
- 25:25Speaker 4: Yeah, so he's in office. Uh, he's hopefully right now
- 25:31Speaker 4: rearranging the parking spots and putting Jerome Powell you know
- 25:36Speaker 4: at the furthest Away parking spot. You know, just he
- 25:41Speaker 4: The thing that one of the things people don't realize
- 25:43Speaker 4: is that the chairman of the FED actually does a
- 25:45Speaker 4: lot more than just interest rate policies. You know, yes,
- 25:49Speaker 4: he's part of the Federal Open Marcus Committee, but there
- 25:52Speaker 4: are thousands of people who work for the FED, including
- 25:55Speaker 4: a lot of econmasts. They have really important jobs. One
- 25:59Speaker 4: of the things I hope he's doing right now is
- 26:02Speaker 4: checking who are these guys right? They are instrumental in
- 26:06Speaker 4: formulating economic policy in the United States, and we really
- 26:11Speaker 4: need to find out. Larry Tablo quotes this poll that
- 26:17Speaker 4: showed that something like ninety percent of the political donations
- 26:22Speaker 4: from FED employees go to Democrats. That's a big problem.
- 26:26Speaker 4: It shouldn't be like that. We need he So I
- 26:29Speaker 4: hope that when you know that, one of the things
- 26:31Speaker 4: Kevin's doing right now, you know there's not another meeting
- 26:34Speaker 4: for a little while, you know about interest rates. But
- 26:38Speaker 4: what he should be doing right now is taking a
- 26:40Speaker 4: look at the personnel at the FED and making sure
- 26:43Speaker 4: that they haven't been doing anything like locking out Republican economists.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Now, the awful FED chairman Jerome Powell has not stepped down.
- 26:52Speaker 2: He looks like he's going to remain on the board.
- 26:54Speaker 2: What actual power or influence can he have on that board.
- 26:59Speaker 4: So the thing is that the FED chairman is really
- 27:03Speaker 4: only can lead by consensus. He has to bring people around,
- 27:06Speaker 4: and it's one of the reasons why former chairman never
- 27:10Speaker 4: stay on the board. Powell is the first guy to
- 27:13Speaker 4: do this in sixty years. The reason why they always
- 27:17Speaker 4: lead is to let the new chairman lead the board.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Powell will have a vote on the interest rate policies.
- 27:23Speaker 4: He will have an influence over the other people who
- 27:26Speaker 4: are on the FED. I don't think it's really responsible
- 27:29Speaker 4: for him to stay on, but I'm not sure it'll
- 27:32Speaker 4: make that big of a difference right now. Look, as
- 27:34Speaker 4: I said in the beginning, the inflation numbers are going up.
- 27:39Speaker 4: The Fed is not going to cut interest rates. As
- 27:42Speaker 4: long as the inflation is on the way up, They're
- 27:46Speaker 4: going to have to come down. I don't think we're
- 27:48Speaker 4: going to see that for quite a few months. So
- 27:53Speaker 4: if I'm Kevin Warsh, what I would be doing right
- 27:56Speaker 4: now is laying out the groundwork for how he thinks
- 27:59Speaker 4: monitor Harry policies should be. Don't worry about whether you
- 28:02Speaker 4: can cut interest rates at this meeting or the next meeting.
- 28:05Speaker 4: That's actually doesn't make that big of a difference. The
- 28:08Speaker 4: longer term approach the Fed takes is really what's going
- 28:11Speaker 4: to shape the economy. Everybody obsesses, right, will they cut
- 28:14Speaker 4: this meeting or is it going to be September, November, December.
- 28:18Speaker 4: Look what really matters is the long term path of
- 28:21Speaker 4: interest rates and the long term policy of the Fed.
- 28:25Speaker 4: That's what Kevin Worre should concentrate on, and we can
- 28:27Speaker 4: worry about. You know, when they cut interest rates, that's
- 28:30Speaker 4: probably not going to happen.
- 28:31Speaker 2: I explain that a little to people because every people
- 28:33Speaker 2: think that's the most important thing, interest rates raising your Look,
- 28:36Speaker 2: it's not the most important thing.
- 28:39Speaker 4: No, it's not. And the especially the timing of when
- 28:43Speaker 4: they raise it or when they lower it. What really
- 28:46Speaker 4: matters is whether the Fed. One are the big problems
- 28:49Speaker 4: the FED has had over the last i would say
- 28:52Speaker 4: two decades, is that they've really been suspicious of economic growth.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Whenever the economy really starts to take off, the FED
- 28:59Speaker 4: worries that that somehow will be inflationary. Of course that's
- 29:04Speaker 4: not true at all. And by the way, they missed
- 29:06Speaker 4: the actual inflation problem we had, which happened under Joe Biden. Right,
- 29:09Speaker 4: so they've got it wrong. They let inflacetion get under
- 29:13Speaker 4: control under Joe Biden. Under Donald Trump in the first term,
- 29:16Speaker 4: they saw they started raising interest rates because growth started
- 29:19Speaker 4: to pick up. They need to break out of this model.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Economic growth doesn't cause inflation. That's the long term reform
- 29:25Speaker 4: we need is a model that doesn't say right now
- 29:28Speaker 4: the FED thinks we could grow at one point eight
- 29:30Speaker 4: to two percent. That's like the maximum they think is
- 29:33Speaker 4: the safe pace for the economy to grow. That's pathetic.
- 29:37Speaker 4: We can grow much faster than that, and the FED
- 29:40Speaker 4: should not be tuning its policies to hold back growth
- 29:43Speaker 4: the way they have for twenty years now.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Yeah, John Corney Bright Business Digest, talk about AI for
- 29:50Speaker 2: a second. There's a lot of people that think everybody's
- 29:52Speaker 2: going to lose their job, that AA is going to
- 29:53Speaker 2: wipe us all out job wise. What's the real story.
- 29:57Speaker 4: So I don't think that's true at all. I maybe
- 30:01Speaker 4: a year or two ago I might have been a
- 30:03Speaker 4: little worried about this, but partly because you had all
- 30:06Speaker 4: these guys working on AI saying, oh, you know, we're
- 30:08Speaker 4: going to take everybody's job. In fact, in history, one
- 30:11Speaker 4: of the things that happens is when you increase the
- 30:14Speaker 4: productivity of workers, which is one of the things AI does,
- 30:18Speaker 4: you actually make more demand for workers because they can.
- 30:21Speaker 6: Get more done.
- 30:23Speaker 4: So I actually think that there's going to be there's
- 30:25Speaker 4: an economic Tournament's a paradox for this where when part
- 30:30Speaker 4: of the thing is is that when you increase people's
- 30:33Speaker 4: ability to produce more goods and services. That actually doesn't
- 30:38Speaker 4: decrease the amount of people you need doing. It increases
- 30:41Speaker 4: the amount of people because each person is more productive.
- 30:45Speaker 4: So I think we're actually going to see a lot
- 30:47Speaker 4: of demand for workers because of AI. Not the jobs
- 30:52Speaker 4: will shift, exactly what people will do doing will shift. Frankly,
- 30:55Speaker 4: a lot of people's jobs will be made better because
- 30:59Speaker 4: some of the luge work that they don't like to
- 31:01Speaker 4: do right now will be actually being done by a
- 31:05Speaker 4: digital AI assistant for them. But they're the actual work.
- 31:10Speaker 4: A lot of people have in their mind this image
- 31:12Speaker 4: of the economy where there's only so much work to
- 31:14Speaker 4: be done, and if enough of it is done by
- 31:16Speaker 4: robots or computers, then we won't do anymore. I guarantee
- 31:20Speaker 4: you that's not the way the economy works. If it was,
- 31:23Speaker 4: we would have stopped working four hundred years ago, and
- 31:27Speaker 4: you know what we got really good at farming. Instead.
- 31:30Speaker 4: What we did is we had an industrial revolution, so
- 31:34Speaker 4: you can you know, work will continue, and I hate
- 31:37Speaker 4: to break this tumor. Human beings will never run out
- 31:40Speaker 4: of work to do. I mean, we're just always going
- 31:42Speaker 4: to have to work, and that will be But that's
- 31:45Speaker 4: also good because it means we keep coming up with
- 31:48Speaker 4: new things that make our lives better.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Very encouraging. John Carney brilliant as always. And Brightbart Business Digest.
- 31:56Speaker 2: It's Monday through Friday, right that that comes out.

- 32:06Speaker 4: big is happening. And on Friday, as we do something
- 32:08Speaker 4: really cool, I call it the Weekly Wrap. It's a
- 32:10Speaker 4: little more lighthearted. We're going to talk in today's Weekly
- 32:14Speaker 4: Wrap about the two hundred and fifty dollars Trump bill
- 32:18Speaker 4: that they're talking about putting out and Treasury Secretary Bessett
- 32:22Speaker 4: is giving a big speech out in California today. You're
- 32:24Speaker 4: going to be able to read about that at Brightbart.
- 32:26Speaker 4: It's going to be a fun one today.
- 32:27Speaker 2: It's worth putting out that bill. Just drive those Trump
- 32:30Speaker 2: haters crazy.
- 32:33Speaker 4: I can't wait to walk into like a liberal coffee shop,
- 32:38Speaker 4: pay for my coffee and dollars amazing.

- 34:11Speaker 2: days until summer officially begins. It's actually still spring, believe
- 34:16Speaker 2: it or not. So as you heard on the news,
- 34:19Speaker 2: big fire on the Hudson River Tunnel. Penn Station closed down.
- 34:24Speaker 2: It's a mess. Now they'll get that straightened out. But
- 34:28Speaker 2: here's some Penn Station news.
- 34:30Speaker 9: Now.
- 34:31Speaker 2: You know, Penn Station is going to be rebuilt. A
- 34:35Speaker 2: whole new Penn Station is coming. You know, if your
- 34:39Speaker 2: commuter and you come into Grand Central, why it's beautiful.
- 34:42Speaker 2: It's one of the most beautiful train stations in America.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Grand Central is gorgeous. It's like a palace. You look
- 34:48Speaker 2: up at that ceiling with the stars and the architecture
- 34:51Speaker 2: of Grand Central, and then you look around at the restaurants.
- 34:55Speaker 2: There's a Chipriani, there's a great steakhouse. There's that new
- 34:58Speaker 2: brass array, there's a the Campbell apartments, there's the best
- 35:03Speaker 2: restaurants in Grand Central. Stores we got everything. You got
- 35:07Speaker 2: the Apple Store there. You couldn't get a better store
- 35:10Speaker 2: than that. And then they got that food court that's phenomenal.
- 35:13Speaker 2: And then they got that Food Haul, which is like
- 35:16Speaker 2: the best supermarket in the city. I mean, it's got
- 35:18Speaker 2: the best of the best. If you want to do
- 35:20Speaker 2: your grocery shopping, Grand Central it's got I mean it's
- 35:24Speaker 2: from the best places, Murray's Cheese and Eli Zabar and
- 35:28Speaker 2: all the best suppliers. Really amazing. Now that's Grand Central.
- 35:34Speaker 2: If you go to Penn Station and you come up
- 35:36Speaker 2: through the come up out of the train, you think
- 35:38Speaker 2: you're in Rikers Island. It looks like a prison camp.
- 35:42Speaker 2: It is the most disgusting training station in America. It
- 35:46Speaker 2: really looks like a prison in there. It's awful, and
- 35:49Speaker 2: there's nothing to eat in there. Nothing. There's that one
- 35:54Speaker 2: pizza place that everybody thought was pretty good, but it's good,
- 35:57Speaker 2: but it's If you put that anywhere else it would
- 35:59Speaker 2: be eh. But in Grand Central it stood out. Now
- 36:01Speaker 2: outside of Grand Central, they're starting to open restaurants and
- 36:06Speaker 2: food halls and stuff like that. But so the idea
- 36:08Speaker 2: is they're going to rebuild Penn Station. It's going to
- 36:10Speaker 2: be magnificent. It's going to be beautiful, pallacious. I'm looking
- 36:14Speaker 2: at the drawings, cavernous ceilings, monumental staircases, brass toned railings,
- 36:19Speaker 2: massive columns that will evoke the grandeur of the original
- 36:24Speaker 2: Beaux Art pen station that was torn down in the sixties.
- 36:28Speaker 2: But the federal government, the Trump administration, has agreed to
- 36:33Speaker 2: send the money. Now, this is not going to be done.
- 36:37Speaker 2: Where's the date. I mean, this will be a work
- 36:40Speaker 2: won't even begin till the end of next year. So
- 36:43Speaker 2: that means government five years, ten years. You're talking about
- 36:47Speaker 2: twenty thirty five or something. But here's the problem. The
- 36:52Speaker 2: way it's all designed. Near the entrance on Eighth Avenue,
- 36:54Speaker 2: there's a big carved into the marble, big beautiful presidential
- 37:01Speaker 2: along with the words President Donald J. Trump. Now, this
- 37:05Speaker 2: is going to drive New Yorkers nuts. It's carved right
- 37:08Speaker 2: into the stone wall inside the station. It appears right
- 37:13Speaker 2: near the escalators leading to the concourse. Now New York
- 37:17Speaker 2: City has signed off on all this because they want
- 37:20Speaker 2: the money. So it's an eight billion dollar project. Now
- 37:25Speaker 2: it'll be twenty eight billion by the time they get
- 37:27Speaker 2: done with it, if it ever gets done. But by
- 37:30Speaker 2: the time this is even really getting fully underway, President
- 37:34Speaker 2: Trump will be out of office. If a Democrat takes office,
- 37:38Speaker 2: you know he's going to change all that and take
- 37:40Speaker 2: his name off it, but his name should be it
- 37:42Speaker 2: should actually be called Trumps Station. They've renamed the Palm
- 37:46Speaker 2: Beach International Airport Donald J. Trump International Airport. It's not unusual.
- 37:51Speaker 2: There's thirty airports in America named after presidents. And New
- 37:56Speaker 2: York City owes Donald Trump a lot, they really do.
- 38:01Speaker 2: As much as you want to hate him, we owe
- 38:03Speaker 2: this guy a lot for what he's done for New
- 38:04Speaker 2: York City. Transformed the skyline. This guy rescued neighborhoods. You know,
- 38:09Speaker 2: you wouldn't have Grand Central look the way it does today.
- 38:11Speaker 2: It wasn't for Donald Trump. Nobody remembers this, but back
- 38:14Speaker 2: in the with the late seventies early eighties, Grand Central,
- 38:19Speaker 2: that whole area around there was in total decay. It
- 38:22Speaker 2: was going way downhill. Nobody in the right mind wanted
- 38:25Speaker 2: to be in that neighborhood. There was a dilapidated hotel
- 38:29Speaker 2: next to Grand Central called the Commodore, beat up, old,
- 38:33Speaker 2: decrepit old hotel. Trump buys it, rebuilds the whole thing
- 38:38Speaker 2: into the beautiful, gleaming, brand new Grand Hyatt. It transformed
- 38:44Speaker 2: the neighborhood. It changed everything. All of a sudden, everybody
- 38:48Speaker 2: started looking at that neighborhood. This one magnificent, beautiful glass
- 38:52Speaker 2: and gold and shiny hotel there changed the whole neighborhood.
- 38:55Speaker 2: Jack remember Jackie Kennedy back then, Jackie Onassis, she was
- 38:59Speaker 2: trying to Grand Central, saved the neighborhood. There was a
- 39:02Speaker 2: time where they thought they'd just tear it all down.
- 39:03Speaker 2: But Trump turned that neighborhood around. Then he goes to
- 39:07Speaker 2: Columbus Circle, which is a big booming place right now.
- 39:11Speaker 2: But you forget when Trump went to Columbus Circle late eighties,
- 39:15Speaker 2: it was in total decay. Nobody in their right mind
- 39:18Speaker 2: would be in Columbus Circle, Nobody would open their office there.
- 39:22Speaker 2: And it was the New York Coliseum, you remember that.
- 39:26Speaker 2: It was the we had the trade shows. And in
- 39:28Speaker 2: front of the New York Coliseum you'd see prison buses.
- 39:32Speaker 2: That's where the buses came for Rikers Island. All the
- 39:35Speaker 2: families that were visiting Rikers Island would get the bus
- 39:38Speaker 2: in front of the coliseum. It was a pretty sleazy,
- 39:41Speaker 2: slimy area. Columbus Circle. Trump buys the old Gulf and
- 39:46Speaker 2: Western Building, rebuilds the whole thing into the Trump International Hotel,
- 39:51Speaker 2: same thing, black, gleaming, shining, unbelievable hotel. He convinces John
- 39:57Speaker 2: George to open the restaurant in that building. That gave
- 40:00Speaker 2: it a lot of cachet right away. And it's the
- 40:03Speaker 2: most magnificent new hotel ever at the time, and unbelievable apartments,
- 40:09Speaker 2: and it transformed Columbus Circle all of a sudden. Columbus
- 40:12Speaker 2: Circle took off and became a very hot neighborhood and
- 40:15Speaker 2: everything followed the time Warner Center. You owe all that
- 40:18Speaker 2: to Donald Trump. That's two neighborhoods. He rescued, Hey, not
- 40:22Speaker 2: to mention, he's the guy that started the Javit Center.
- 40:25Speaker 2: Nobody remembers that. That was his first project, that Javit Center.
- 40:28Speaker 2: Although they didn't let him build it, he got it going,
- 40:31Speaker 2: got full, things started. They brought in somebody else to
- 40:33Speaker 2: build it, but that was him. Come down the West
- 40:36Speaker 2: Side Highway. You see those high rises, those twenty five
- 40:40Speaker 2: unbelievable high rises in a row, that's Trump. Remember that
- 40:43Speaker 2: was all just abandoned railroad yard. So New York goes
- 40:45Speaker 2: this guy a lot. He transformed a lot of different
- 40:48Speaker 2: parts in New York. Hey, if you're watching the NBC
- 40:52Speaker 2: Nightly News looks a little different all of a sudden.
- 40:55Speaker 2: The reason is it was coming from across the street.
- 40:59Speaker 2: It wasn't in the main building, It wasn't in the
- 41:02Speaker 2: RCA building, ge Building, Comcast building. It was across the street,
- 41:06Speaker 2: that little building where the Today Show is. They used
- 41:08Speaker 2: to do it out of there, but you know, they
- 41:10Speaker 2: threw MSNBC out of NBC. MSNBC had like the whole
- 41:14Speaker 2: half the third floor, enormous, beautiful, magnificent studio for MSNBC.
- 41:20Speaker 2: NBC threw them out. They don't want anything to do
- 41:22Speaker 2: with MSNBC. Threw it out of the building, threw it
- 41:24Speaker 2: out of the company. So NBC News has moved into
- 41:28Speaker 2: the old MSNBC studios, built an incredible new set and
- 41:33Speaker 2: looks absolutely magnificent. Uh. You know this, mam donnie plan
- 41:39Speaker 2: if you got a really bad landlord and the building's
- 41:42Speaker 2: neglected and he's a slumlord and it's bad and well,
- 41:45Speaker 2: the government will step in take over, transfer ownership to
- 41:49Speaker 2: the tenant. It sounds like a very uh you know,
- 41:51Speaker 2: if you're a left wing kook, it sounds great, sounds
- 41:53Speaker 2: like a real idealistic what a plan. Uh, Mom, Donnie's
- 41:58Speaker 2: talked about it at great length, but fails to mention
- 42:01Speaker 2: this plan has been tried about eighteen times in the
- 42:04Speaker 2: past and always resulted in total disaster. Every time it's done,
- 42:10Speaker 2: it's even worse and it's a total failure. It's a
- 42:12Speaker 2: proven failure every time. But as we always tell you,
- 42:15Speaker 2: Democrats don't believe in science, they don't follow the science
- 42:21Speaker 2: socialism perfect example. It's been tried ten thousand times, failed
- 42:25Speaker 2: every single time. That's the science, ten thousand experiments. Every
- 42:29Speaker 2: time it fails. You know it doesn't work, they'll keep
- 42:32Speaker 2: doing it. Remember his crazy will instead of police will
- 42:36Speaker 2: have social workers respond to domestic violence calls. A domestic
- 42:40Speaker 2: violence call, a police will tell you it's the most
- 42:43Speaker 2: dangerous call you get answered. We'll have social workers do
- 42:45Speaker 2: it again. That program has been done about twelve times
- 42:49Speaker 2: in the past over the years. Every time it's a
- 42:52Speaker 2: disaster and the social workers either get killed or are
- 42:56Speaker 2: seriously injured. They only have been in the hospital. So
- 42:59Speaker 2: it doesn't work. But whatever doesn't work, these Democrats will
- 43:03Speaker 2: bring it back. Yeah, it didn't work ten thousand times,
- 43:07Speaker 2: maybe this time, little hey, Remember I was telling you
- 43:10Speaker 2: about that sinkhole the lie. They now believe it wasn't
- 43:16Speaker 2: infrastructure that eroded or pipes that burst, or they think
- 43:21Speaker 2: a contractor was doing work and nothing wrong with the contractor.
- 43:26Speaker 2: I mean, it's just something that can happen. They were
- 43:28Speaker 2: digging under the lie, putting pipes under it. Something happened.
- 43:31Speaker 2: They think this might be the reason. But this news Day,
- 43:35Speaker 2: you know, they still print news Day, They still have
- 43:37Speaker 2: a website, news Day. I don't know why. It's it's
- 43:40Speaker 2: the most partisan biased paper in the world. Newsday. It's
- 43:45Speaker 2: a tiny little paper. It used to be a big
- 43:47Speaker 2: thing with it. One time it was like the fifth
- 43:48Speaker 2: biggest newspaper in America. Now it's just tiny. But the
- 43:51Speaker 2: news Day, they can't help. They're so partisan, so ridiculously.
- 43:57Speaker 2: One side had slanted, so they're writing about the content.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Everything is Republican, Republican donor and contractor, Labriola, Republican donor
- 44:08Speaker 2: and contract Well, if this guy's a big contractor in
- 44:10Speaker 2: Long Island, like all of them, I guarantee he donates
- 44:14Speaker 2: to Democrats and Republicans. They both donate to both parties.
- 44:18Speaker 2: If you're a contractor looking for government work, of course
- 44:20Speaker 2: you donate to both parties. But Newsday has to label
- 44:23Speaker 2: it Republican donor. He's related to the Oyster Bay town councilman.
- 44:33Speaker 2: But this is Newsday. He's related to Republican Oyster Bay.
- 44:39Speaker 2: So be very careful if you're a Newsday reader, you're
- 44:41Speaker 2: getting very very slanted coverage. Hey, you know that little
- 44:46Speaker 2: worm Michael wolf That sleazy little guy Michael Wolfe. He
- 44:50Speaker 2: writes these books attacking Trump like crazy, vicious little guy,
- 44:54Speaker 2: and half the stuff in his book is never true.
- 44:57Speaker 2: So he was suing Milania Trump. She said she's finally
- 45:02Speaker 2: going to sue him. He just prints stuff that's total
- 45:05Speaker 2: crap and is false. One of the things was that
- 45:07Speaker 2: it was Jeffrey Epstein that introduced Milania to Donald Trump. Well,
- 45:11Speaker 2: it's absolutely not true, and she didn't know Jeffrey Epstein.
- 45:15Speaker 2: So she was going to sue him for a billion dollars.
- 45:17Speaker 2: So he filed the suit first to sue her. His
- 45:23Speaker 2: lawsuit was just tossed out by the court. Yeah, he said,
- 45:29Speaker 2: the judge said it's ridiculous, tossed it out. He can
- 45:32Speaker 2: refile it if he wants, but court just tossed it out.
- 45:35Speaker 2: So hey, we always thank Andrew Cuomo for screwing up
- 45:39Speaker 2: New York for creating the crime wave single handedly with
- 45:43Speaker 2: his no bail, no jail. Could you imagine this guy
- 45:46Speaker 2: pushed in campaigned for his no bail, no jail. He
- 45:51Speaker 2: closed the prisons, he bragged about letting prisoners out. He
- 45:54Speaker 2: changed the parole board, so they let everybody out. They
- 45:57Speaker 2: let out forty three cop killers. So look at that.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Here's a typical example. This wacko who shoved somebody into
- 46:04Speaker 2: the subway tracks forty one prior arrests, forty one prior arrests.
- 46:11Speaker 2: He's walking around in the streets. His last three arrests
- 46:14Speaker 2: he was let out. He's also been arrested for theft
- 46:17Speaker 2: of service, criminal transper forty one priors, and he's out
- 46:20Speaker 2: there walking around and absolutely ridiculous. Now those speed cameras
- 46:27Speaker 2: if you live in the suburbs, they got him in
- 46:30Speaker 2: the city, they got him on the certain major roads.
- 46:33Speaker 2: If you're out in the suburbs, they're starting to put
- 46:36Speaker 2: those speed cameras everywhere. Now they've gotten cheaper. Government doesn't
- 46:41Speaker 2: do it. It's a private company. You hire them. They
- 46:43Speaker 2: come in and put up the cameras, so it doesn't
- 46:44Speaker 2: cost that much. But it's really annoying, it's driving people crazy.
- 46:49Speaker 2: But here's Greenwich, Connecticut. I'm just checking. And so apparently
- 46:54Speaker 2: in a school zone, they had first they first they
- 46:57Speaker 2: do a test with the cameras. They see how many
- 46:59Speaker 2: people are speeding, thirty seven thousand people. Now, when they
- 47:04Speaker 2: say speeding, it's a school zone. You know, you're driving
- 47:07Speaker 2: on a normal suburban road speed limit thirty thirty five
- 47:10Speaker 2: forty school zone fifteen. Nobody can go fifteen. You can't
- 47:15Speaker 2: do it. It's impossible. In a golf cart, you can't
- 47:17Speaker 2: go fifteen. Nobody's going to drive fifteen. So they count
- 47:21Speaker 2: that as speeding. So they clock thirty seven thousand speeders.
- 47:25Speaker 2: So now they turn on these cameras and mail out
- 47:27Speaker 2: the tickets. The thirty seven thousand immediately decreased to fifteen thousand.
- 47:35Speaker 2: They send out more tickets, it decreased to seven thousand.
- 47:40Speaker 2: Now you got to remember if if you get out
- 47:43Speaker 2: send out ten thousan let's say it's ten thousand speeding
- 47:45Speaker 2: tickets and it's one hundred dollars a ticket. Well, let's
- 47:49Speaker 2: say it's fifty dollars a ticket. That's like half a
- 47:52Speaker 2: million bucks right there. That's a lot of revenue. Coming in.
- 47:55Speaker 2: So that's that's why they keep doing it. Hey just
- 47:59Speaker 2: want to warn people. We'll talk about this on Monday.
- 48:01Speaker 2: We'll get into this Monday in detail with the great
- 48:03Speaker 2: food Writer. When you go on Instagram, there's all I
- 48:08Speaker 2: was next thing. You know, you're bombarded with Instagram stuff
- 48:10Speaker 2: every day. The best burger in New York, the best
- 48:12Speaker 2: pizza in New York. And then there's these Instagram unbelievable
- 48:16Speaker 2: Instagram food fads. It's like that Golden Honey pancake that
- 48:20Speaker 2: everybody had have, or Bubby's Downtown because the JFK Junior,
- 48:25Speaker 2: the James Beard pancas, it's all over instance. So now
- 48:28Speaker 2: you got to run and wait in line for six
- 48:30Speaker 2: hours to None of these things on Instagram are as
- 48:34Speaker 2: good as you think they're good, but they're not that phenomenal.
- 48:37Speaker 2: Don't get crazy waiting in these lines. You know, when
- 48:40Speaker 2: they show you this hamburger in Red Hook and Brooklyn
- 48:43Speaker 2: and this hamburger you got to go here for it's
- 48:45Speaker 2: a hamburger. It's good, it's very good, but it's probably
- 48:49Speaker 2: Look where I am right now, middle of Manhattan, fifty
- 48:52Speaker 2: fifth Street. There's probably fifty hamburgers in this neighborhood that
- 48:56Speaker 2: are better than anything. It's a hamburger, you just put
- 48:58Speaker 2: it on a grill. I mean, what do you think
- 49:00Speaker 2: they have in that Instagram one? You think they went
- 49:02Speaker 2: to Mars and got some special beef that nobody else
- 49:05Speaker 2: can have. It's the same. I mean, there's different levels
- 49:08Speaker 2: of quality, but it's pretty much the same. I mean,
- 49:11Speaker 2: you could make a little difference at the right season,
- 49:12Speaker 2: but it's not that much different. So the biggest Instagram
- 49:15Speaker 2: trend in the world right now, people are lining up
- 49:18Speaker 2: for hours is dot cake. It's made by a company
- 49:24Speaker 2: in Roslyn, New York, dot Cake, and the only place
- 49:27Speaker 2: you get in Manhattan is Butterfields, which is a great market.
- 49:31Speaker 2: People line up for hours to wait for this dot cake.
- 49:33Speaker 2: It's a it comes in a round cup. It's cake.
- 49:37Speaker 2: There's an ella cake at chocolate cake at Red Velvet,
- 49:39Speaker 2: and then on the top of those dots the sprinkles.
- 49:42Speaker 2: But they're packs so tight that they don't move. So
- 49:45Speaker 2: people are waiting in line for hours for this.
- 49:48Speaker 4: Not that good.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I mean it's okay, but it's not great.
- 49:52Speaker 11: Uh.
- 49:52Speaker 2: And the great food writer Steve Cuzo trot it. He'll
- 49:55Speaker 2: be with this Monday we'll talk about it. So that's
- 49:57Speaker 2: a big one. The other thing is flow yo a
- 50:00Speaker 2: fro yo. Everybody's fro yo. That's all over Instagram, waiting
- 50:03Speaker 2: in line for hours for the special fro yo. Froyo
- 50:08Speaker 2: is frozen yogurt. It's the It's the same frozen yoga.
- 50:13Speaker 2: What do you think they get this frozen yogurt at
- 50:15Speaker 2: this place? You think they're going to like some part
- 50:18Speaker 2: of France to get it. It's the same mixture that
- 50:22Speaker 2: everybody else uses. I mean, you could change the flavor
- 50:24Speaker 2: of it, but it's good, but it's not. Don't wait
- 50:26Speaker 2: in line for many hours anyway. We'll take some calls. Next.
- 50:30Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 50:33Speaker 2: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 50:37Speaker 1: Set up pre sat on the iHeartRadio app to dou
- 50:39Speaker 1: wor to.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Hear Mark live.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Set another for Mark's podcast to hear him anytime. Now
- 50:46Speaker 1: back to Mark simone on do woor.
- 50:52Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 50:55Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Let's go to Mara
- 50:57Speaker 2: in Nevada. Mara, how you doing so good?
- 51:00Speaker 12: I'm talking to you, chow Vincent. Mark, I'm gonna tell
- 51:04Speaker 12: you who Dagmar was.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Now we know, I know, I know, I know who
- 51:07Speaker 2: dag Warn was.
- 51:09Speaker 12: She was on the Jerry Leicster yew.
- 51:10Speaker 2: She was on a Broadway Open House.
- 51:12Speaker 12: Yes, we know all that with the Jerry Lessons show
- 51:15Speaker 12: is called Broadway Open House.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Yes, oh, okay, you know next subject?
- 51:22Speaker 12: What?
- 51:23Speaker 2: Next subject?
- 51:24Speaker 4: No?
- 51:25Speaker 12: No, you know what?
- 51:25Speaker 9: No?
- 51:25Speaker 12: No, no, Mark, I'm an antique, so you know, I'm
- 51:28Speaker 12: like you.
- 51:29Speaker 8: I know.
- 51:29Speaker 2: Well, we can't we can't, we can't. We can't talk
- 51:30Speaker 2: about Dagmar anymore. It's too old.
- 51:33Speaker 12: Oh wow, but they brought him up.
- 51:35Speaker 2: I know. That was the last hour. We got to
- 51:36Speaker 2: do something different this hour. We can't do the same
- 51:38Speaker 2: topics over and over again. Let's go to Phil in Northport. Phil,
- 51:42Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 51:43Speaker 4: Oh? Mark? The average NBA player makes twelve million dollars
- 51:47Speaker 4: a year. And here's an interesting sidekick. Mayel Montdomie should
- 51:52Speaker 4: know that most of the Knicks do not live in
- 51:55Speaker 4: New York City. They live in Jersey, Westchester County from
- 52:00Speaker 4: what I understand.
- 52:01Speaker 2: So you know, yeah, but that's most most sports. If
- 52:06Speaker 2: you checked the Yankees, most of them live in the suburbs.
- 52:09Speaker 2: They live in Westchester, they live in Connecticut.
- 52:11Speaker 9: They live in Jersey.
- 52:12Speaker 2: That's most athletes.
- 52:14Speaker 4: I know, he won't be able to get their their fund,
- 52:18Speaker 4: so good for them.
- 52:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, but a lot of these guys, they're
- 52:23Speaker 2: not city slickers. You know a lot of these baseball
- 52:26Speaker 2: players are you know, football players. They came from the
- 52:29Speaker 2: middle of America. You know, came to the minor leagues
- 52:31Speaker 2: or college, isn't I mean there's something like a a
- 52:34Speaker 2: rod of Derek. You want to move right into Manhattan
- 52:37Speaker 2: and chase women all day. But a lot of them
- 52:39Speaker 2: want to live in the suburbs, have a house, have kids,
- 52:41Speaker 2: all that. Let's go to Dave in Chicago. Dave, how
- 52:44Speaker 2: you doing.
- 52:45Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark. I'm doing very well.
- 52:47Speaker 10: Thank you, Mark. I was pleasantly surprised as I was
- 52:50Speaker 10: reading Barrett Media this morning and I saw a picture
- 52:54Speaker 10: of you and Stephanie Eads. She was on your show
- 52:59Speaker 10: yesterday with a founder Jason Barrett, are you going to
- 53:03Speaker 10: pull two things? Number one, are you going to post
- 53:06Speaker 10: that photo to social media? And secondly, I'm highly impressed
- 53:11Speaker 10: with the view behind you in your studio.
- 53:14Speaker 2: Really I didn't see this picture. I gotta go look
- 53:16Speaker 2: at it. I always read Parrett Barrett Media every day.
- 53:19Speaker 2: Check it out. It's the best. Well, it is the
- 53:23Speaker 2: only and the best coverage of radio talk radio. Barrettmedia
- 53:27Speaker 2: dot com. Check the website every day. I don't see it.
- 53:30Speaker 2: I'll go find it. But well, actually, if you checked
- 53:33Speaker 2: my instagram, Jason Barrett was here. We took a picture
- 53:37Speaker 2: with me and Curtis and Charlemagne the God, and that's
- 53:40Speaker 2: up on Instagram.
- 53:42Speaker 10: Well, Mark, if this helps, I'm a subscriber. So this
- 53:46Speaker 10: morning's edition it and I scrolled down to the bottom.
- 53:53Speaker 10: You see your picture.
- 53:55Speaker 2: I didn't get to the bottom. I'll go down and
- 53:56Speaker 2: look at it. But everybody interested in radio, TV, all
- 53:58Speaker 2: that stuff you want inside to broadcasting stuff. Barrettmedia dot com.
- 54:03Speaker 2: Very good website. Let's go to Bonnie and Tom's river. Bonnie,
- 54:07Speaker 2: how you doing time, Mark?
- 54:10Speaker 4: I want to talk about the other night I had
- 54:13Speaker 4: Greg Kelly on and he was talking about Jill's first husband.
- 54:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Greg Kelly, very good show. You should watch that
- 54:20Speaker 2: every night News Max nine to ten. And yeah, Jill,
- 54:25Speaker 2: he's been really the only one really staying on this.
- 54:28Speaker 2: It's an important story. Jill Biden's first husband, Bill Stevenson.
- 54:33Speaker 2: They were married, Joe stole her away she left her
- 54:36Speaker 2: husband for Joe Biden. Something sleazy happened. They've been you know,
- 54:41Speaker 2: Biden's are famous for law fair. This poor guy got
- 54:44Speaker 2: arrested for some income tax ODA dollars. It was ridiculous
- 54:48Speaker 2: he got through that. Now they're charging with murder. It's
- 54:51Speaker 2: very suspicious. Yeah, well, we don't know, but it looks
- 54:55Speaker 2: pretty bad. It's pretty suspicious. And where's Jill Biden? All
- 54:59Speaker 2: of this?
- 54:59Speaker 4: This was her get to whatever she deserves?
- 55:02Speaker 2: Yeah? Yeah, Now she's a rough, tough, nasty woman. Look
- 55:06Speaker 2: who she's married to. Yeah, let's go to Rich and
- 55:09Speaker 2: Myrtle Beach Rich. How you doing pretty good?
- 55:12Speaker 4: Thanks?
- 55:12Speaker 8: Mark?
- 55:13Speaker 4: I see the Democrats are doing their best to help
- 55:15Speaker 4: us in the midterms by telling us again not to
- 55:17Speaker 4: believe our own eyes. And he's all peaceful protests New
- 55:20Speaker 4: Jersey and Mickey Show is really showing us what a
- 55:23Speaker 4: stupid person she really is. But we can't believe our
- 55:26Speaker 4: eyes anymore. They're telling us the truth and everything else,
- 55:28Speaker 4: and it's just gonna keep going. It's gonna help us
- 55:30Speaker 4: in the midterms.
- 55:31Speaker 2: Yeah, no, absolutely. I don't know why they're going crazy
- 55:33Speaker 2: at this New Jersey Ice Attention Center, but you know,
- 55:36Speaker 2: what they're doing is a crime. You can't obstruct law enforcement,
- 55:39Speaker 2: and Attorney General Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche hopefully it
- 55:43Speaker 2: will start going after them, even these politicians who blocked
- 55:46Speaker 2: the entrance and you're obstructing law enforcement, arrest them.
- 55:48Speaker 13: Look, that's a federal crime. And not only threatening the
- 55:52Speaker 13: ice officer, but think about how disgusting this individual is.
- 55:55Speaker 13: Threatening his family and his children with death. Is this
- 56:00Speaker 13: man doing He's just doing his job standing there and
- 56:03Speaker 13: so this again, that is disgusting.
- 56:05Speaker 2: That what you just showed.
- 56:06Speaker 13: And we see his face, and I promise you we
- 56:10Speaker 13: will find him and when we find him, we will
- 56:12Speaker 13: arrest him.
- 56:13Speaker 2: Good, let's hope. So, yeah, they're going after these ice officers,
- 56:16Speaker 2: these awful protesters. Anyway, Hey, perfect person to talk about
- 56:20Speaker 2: this when we come back, and Colter will be with
- 56:22Speaker 2: us next we'll talk to her about that and more
- 56:26Speaker 2: coming up on seven to ten.
- 56:27Speaker 1: Wor blogged into Everything New York on the Voice of
- 56:32Speaker 1: New York Mark Simone on sevent ten.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Wr Well and Culter, the best selling author, the great columnist,
- 56:40Speaker 2: and of course the follow her on Twitter. Great stuff
- 56:42Speaker 2: on Twitter, even better substack where she's got columns and
- 56:46Speaker 2: videos and podcasts and culture dot substack dot com. Also
- 56:51Speaker 2: check out her Rumble channel. Lots of stuff up on Rumble.
- 56:54Speaker 2: Just go to and culterre at Rumble and culter.
- 56:57Speaker 11: How you doing fantastic?
- 56:59Speaker 2: How are you eximon I'm good. So there's an ice
- 57:02Speaker 2: detention facility in New Jersey. Democrats protesting it day and night.
- 57:07Speaker 2: Democratic officials Corey Booker, the governor, mikey Sha they're all
- 57:11Speaker 2: out there blocking the What is it with these Democrats
- 57:14Speaker 2: and ice facilities.
- 57:18Speaker 11: Well, as we've discussed, they want to destroy the United
- 57:20Speaker 11: States of America. What's funny is Democrats are usually, in
- 57:28Speaker 11: my opinion, pretty cagey about winning elections. It's kind of
- 57:34Speaker 11: annoyed me that my party, Republicans, are often less interested
- 57:38Speaker 11: in winning elections than being purest. Although he may have
- 57:41Speaker 11: passed through that period in any event, trumped his underwater
- 57:47Speaker 11: on every single issue, but want the one that he
- 57:52Speaker 11: is still shining on is immigration. I mean, hopefully everything
- 57:57Speaker 11: else will come back once now that he has this
- 57:58Speaker 11: fantastic deal. We're going to and the warrigay and the
- 58:01Speaker 11: fuel prices will go down, and gas will go down,
- 58:04Speaker 11: and food and everything will go down, and life will
- 58:06Speaker 11: be grand and we won't be wiped out in the midterms. Maybe.
- 58:10Speaker 11: But the one thing, even in the midst of this
- 58:13Speaker 11: horror of polls, people still support them on immigration. And
- 58:18Speaker 11: I mean not only in this country. You see across
- 58:21Speaker 11: Western Europe all these as they call them, you know,
- 58:24Speaker 11: right wing parties rising, and the one thing that makes
- 58:27Speaker 11: them right wing is no, please stop dumping these Third
- 58:31Speaker 11: world rapists and stabbers on us. They're very stabby, these
- 58:35Speaker 11: these refugees are bringing in. That's clearly what the people
- 58:39Speaker 11: want is I wrote a decade ago in antigust America.
- 58:42Speaker 11: I have never ever seen an issue where the people
- 58:45Speaker 11: are on one side of the issue and all the
- 58:48Speaker 11: people they elect are on the other side of the issue.
- 58:51Speaker 11: But Democrats have really gone whole hog anti immigration purely
- 58:55Speaker 11: out of their Trump derangement syndrome. A lot of them
- 58:58Speaker 11: used to be pretty good on him, like Senator Dianne
- 59:02Speaker 11: Feinstein and Barbara Boxer from California. Why because they were
- 59:05Speaker 11: bearing the brunt of it. Senator Harry Reid from Nevada
- 59:09Speaker 11: gave a fantastic speech on the Senate floor denouncing the
- 59:13Speaker 11: concept of anchor babies and saying what kind of country
- 59:17Speaker 11: would do this to itself. Clinton was good, Obama was better.
- 59:22Speaker 11: But because Trump's signature issue is immigration, the Democratic Party
- 59:26Speaker 11: has decided we want to then we are absolutely against it.
- 59:30Speaker 11: We are for open borders. They would be for eating
- 59:33Speaker 11: poison if Trump came out and said it's bad to
- 59:36Speaker 11: eat poison.
- 59:37Speaker 2: Yeah, So it's not just to get in twenty million
- 59:40Speaker 2: new voters for them, it's really just Trump's arrangement syndrome,
- 59:44Speaker 2: knee jerk reaction to him.
- 59:47Speaker 11: Well, the voters, Yeah, of course that's big. Also, the
- 59:50Speaker 11: cheap made a lot of advantages for Democrats, But right
- 59:54Speaker 11: now it is such a toxic position for them to
- 59:58Speaker 11: take politically. I mean, I guess except for the among
- 1:00:02Speaker 11: the illegal themselves, whom they are very anxious to have
- 1:00:07Speaker 11: vote and do allow to vote in many states. It
- 1:00:10Speaker 11: wasn't New York City trying to put Democrats trying to
- 1:00:13Speaker 11: push through a bill expressly to allow illegal to vote.
- 1:00:17Speaker 11: And in cities around around the country they've made illegal
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: aliens mayors the chief of police. So other one done
- 1:00:26Speaker 11: with those voters who aren't who they keep assuring us,
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: never vote. Don't worry, illegal vote, it's illegal, that's not
- 1:00:32Speaker 11: a problem. No, they're letting illegals vote. They're very happy
- 1:00:35Speaker 11: to have illegal vote except for them. I don't know
- 1:00:37Speaker 11: what constituency they think they're serving.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: So this ICE facility, the politicians, the governor, everybody're out
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: there screaming, and they won't let us in. They won't
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: let us in. Even the local politician, Menendez. It turns
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: out he was in there like four or five days ago.
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: If you call up ahead of time and range, they'll
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: let the governor come visit. But if you just show up,
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: the door of.
- 1:00:57Speaker 11: Streaming all just for these obnoxious odo ops. So they
- 1:01:01Speaker 11: want to relive, you know, the glory days of the
- 1:01:03Speaker 11: b LM rights and ANTIFA takeovers and burning down courthouses
- 1:01:09Speaker 11: and ICE facilities. That's that's political activism for the left.
- 1:01:14Speaker 11: But I liked that. I saw that one of the
- 1:01:18Speaker 11: great things the Trump administration is doing that ICE is
- 1:01:21Speaker 11: going to start buying up these A lot of the
- 1:01:24Speaker 11: ICE facilities are private facilities, and in general, I'm in
- 1:01:27Speaker 11: favor of private prisons. I'm not sort of saying privates.
- 1:01:31Speaker 11: These private institutions so you don't have all of the
- 1:01:34Speaker 11: government regulations, government pensions, government strikes, government unions. But they're
- 1:01:42Speaker 11: doing it so that they don't have to be subject
- 1:01:45Speaker 11: to the to the local rules on protesting, and they
- 1:01:48Speaker 11: can just say this is federal property, you're not allowed
- 1:01:51Speaker 11: to protest here.
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: Ah, all right, that makes sense. Attorney General Todd blanch says,
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: you can start to arrest these people that obstruct law enforcement.
- 1:02:00Speaker 2: Is that what they want? Some of these politicians want
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: to get themselves arrested, thinking it will look good for them.
- 1:02:06Speaker 11: I think they do. But as I say, I'm not
- 1:02:09Speaker 11: really sure this is as good for them as they
- 1:02:15Speaker 11: think it is. I mean, I guess any Democrat is
- 1:02:18Speaker 11: happy to have his picture in a mugshot or getting
- 1:02:20Speaker 11: arrested by the police, you know, fighting the power. But
- 1:02:26Speaker 11: I mean the idea. I suppose if I were going
- 1:02:29Speaker 11: to make the argument on their side, how does this
- 1:02:31Speaker 11: help them? It's the old children in cages. They're appealing
- 1:02:37Speaker 11: to the compassion and kindness of the American people, and
- 1:02:42Speaker 11: Americans are extremely benevolent. But quite a while ago, I
- 1:02:47Speaker 11: think Americans benevolence wore out on immigrants and illegal aliens
- 1:02:53Speaker 11: coming in, committing crimes, demanding massive welfares, welfare, committing frauds,
- 1:02:58Speaker 11: taking multi million dollar billion dollar government schemes to steal
- 1:03:04Speaker 11: money from the taxpayers. And and you know we've been
- 1:03:07Speaker 11: hearing this. Oh, but they're the poor. Look what they're fleeing.
- 1:03:10Speaker 11: They're fleeing. No, they're going home and vacationing in the
- 1:03:12Speaker 11: country is they're allegedly too afraid to live in No
- 1:03:16Speaker 11: help me, help me get me out. And then and
- 1:03:18Speaker 11: then they're back, you know, buying all these all these
- 1:03:20Speaker 11: the welfare fraud and Somalia. Not only are there vacationing there,
- 1:03:24Speaker 11: they're using their their US taxpayer money to buy the
- 1:03:27Speaker 11: beach front of States and Somalia they even have a
- 1:03:30Speaker 11: beach there.
- 1:03:32Speaker 2: Uh. Now and culture, I talk about Los Angeles, it
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: looks like, you know, this thing, this crazy left wing cycle,
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: it always turns a corner. It looks like a Los Angeles.
- 1:03:41Speaker 2: Maybe they're waking up the voters to realize, Uh, these
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: left wing, woke democrats have ruined their city. You think
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: things are changing there with Spencer Pratt.
- 1:03:52Speaker 11: I don't know. I hope, so, I hope, so, I hope.
- 1:03:54Speaker 11: So he's running a fabulous campaign. They did eventually, not
- 1:04:00Speaker 11: as quickly as I might have liked. Throw out that
- 1:04:04Speaker 11: that Uh it was yet another you know, Cuban blessing
- 1:04:08Speaker 11: to our nation, Gascon that DA they had for a
- 1:04:12Speaker 11: long time whose official policy was, no, We're going to
- 1:04:17Speaker 11: make crime legal, decriminalized crime. Uh and and the streets
- 1:04:24Speaker 11: ran with blood and and homelessness, and they elected that
- 1:04:27Speaker 11: fantastic DA they had in LA now Nathan Hoffmann. So
- 1:04:32Speaker 11: I don't know, maybe maybe enough people have have gotten
- 1:04:35Speaker 11: fed up. On the other hand, because of what Democrats
- 1:04:38Speaker 11: do to these cities. As we're all worried about with
- 1:04:41Speaker 11: New York and I'm worried about with LA. They drive
- 1:04:45Speaker 11: out so many of the same voters. I'm not going
- 1:04:50Speaker 11: to live in this dystopia. So you know what percentage
- 1:04:55Speaker 11: of California and or Los Angeles and New York City
- 1:04:58Speaker 11: is now living in in my Miami or Austin.
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true. Do you know somebody pointed out the
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: last Oscars, the ten nominated Best pictures, none of them
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: were made in Hollywood. Even Hollywood has left Hollywood. They
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: don't even make movies there anymore.
- 1:05:12Speaker 11: Oh No, it's a big issue. The sound stage is
- 1:05:15Speaker 11: the production facilities. It's really sad because that was that
- 1:05:19Speaker 11: was such a fabulous and unique part of America. One
- 1:05:25Speaker 11: I might add that was created by immigrants, immigrants, Jewish immigrants.
- 1:05:29Speaker 11: It's the only it's the only industry I think that
- 1:05:32Speaker 11: ever was created by immigrants and hugely successful. I mean,
- 1:05:37Speaker 11: America has known the world over for its movies. Probably
- 1:05:40Speaker 11: a little less now that they're going so dei and woke,
- 1:05:44Speaker 11: but yeah, they're not being made in Hollywood anymore. There
- 1:05:49Speaker 11: was an article about a year ago in the New
- 1:05:51Speaker 11: York Times about a tour of Paramount Studios. It was
- 1:05:56Speaker 11: because one of my friends used to be the head
- 1:05:58Speaker 11: of Paramount. I send it to him. Both very sad
- 1:06:01Speaker 11: about it. So they're taking these people through on the
- 1:06:03Speaker 11: little golf clarts and there's I never saw there's the
- 1:06:08Speaker 11: bench that Forlorrest Gump sat on when he did blah
- 1:06:12Speaker 11: blah blah. And everybody on the tour said, what's Florest Gump? Yeah,
- 1:06:20Speaker 11: it was the most recent, like big hit you guys
- 1:06:23Speaker 11: can come up with. It was just sad. The place
- 1:06:26Speaker 11: was empty, nothing was being filmed. It's really really sad.
- 1:06:31Speaker 11: And so many people who had wonderful lives in that
- 1:06:36Speaker 11: wonderful city. There were so many jobs out of Hollywood.
- 1:06:40Speaker 11: The gaffers and cameramen and makeup artists and all the
- 1:06:43Speaker 11: come oh and the food, the craft services people when
- 1:06:47Speaker 11: they're filming something. There were so many jobs and they
- 1:06:51Speaker 11: are gone, gone, gone.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Well, well and talk and tell me about your Rumble stuff.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: What do you do on Rumble?
- 1:07:00Speaker 11: Oh yeah, I think I want to get away from Mondays.
- 1:07:03Speaker 11: But Rummell wants me on Monday, Monday and Thursdays live
- 1:07:07Speaker 11: Live with me, five pm. I'm not sure what I'll
- 1:07:12Speaker 11: do but interviews, And yesterday I did one. It was
- 1:07:15Speaker 11: just me kit chatting about usually five big stories of
- 1:07:19Speaker 11: the week. And I did an interview on Monday with
- 1:07:23Speaker 11: a New York Times reporter, Robert Draper, because he covered
- 1:07:26Speaker 11: the Thomas Massey the Big the big race down in
- 1:07:30Speaker 11: Kentucky was the most expensive congressional race, and like you know,
- 1:07:36Speaker 11: I think ever, probably because it was in the last
- 1:07:38Speaker 11: fifty years, like twenty million dollars was spent on this
- 1:07:43Speaker 11: one little congressional district. Anyway, he was on the ground
- 1:07:46Speaker 11: doing reporting. I'd read his reporting in the New York Times.
- 1:07:48Speaker 11: It was really interesting, it was really good. And we
- 1:07:50Speaker 11: played a few little clips from his interviews with no
- 1:07:53Speaker 11: one knows the name of the guy who won, but
- 1:07:56Speaker 11: ed Gal Line well, everybody to watch.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: You can see all this stuff. It's all up there
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: on Rumble and Culture at rumbo oh okay, and then
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: just make sure you follow on substack and Culter dot
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: substack dot com and the course Twitter as well and
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Culter thanks for being with us.
- 1:08:14Speaker 11: Good to talk you, Mark Simone, by bye.
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: Take care. Hey, uh, don't forget coming up at noon,
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Buck and Clay three o'clock. The most listened to radio
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: show in America, Sean Hannity. I'll be a guest today
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: on the Sean Hannity Show. And you know, Curtis is back.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Curtis Sliwa is here every morning. It's Curtis Sliwa and
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: Larry Minti on seven ten wor. Hey, we're out of time,
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: but I'll be back Monday. See you then, seven ten
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: wor
