  So yeah, I'm, I'm very sorry. The lighting where I am is very

  poor at the moment. So I haven't done an episode for

  a couple of weeks. I have wanted to do a couple of

  episodes, but I'll be honest, I've, I've struggled to do

  episodes partly because of what else is going on in my life, but

  also because whenever, whenever over the last couple of weeks,

  I've had a topic that I've thought I want to talk about
• 0:49
  this, I want to do an episode of The Slippish Slope about this.

  It's I found it difficult to get to the truth about everything.

  Like I said, it just seems like we're being deceived.

  So I wanted to talk about Ben Robert Smith and what's going
• 1:08
  there. The soldier, if you don't know,
• 1:09
  if you're not from Australia, Ben Robert Smith is our most
• 1:12
  highly decorated soldier, former SAS.
• 1:18
  So one of our elite soldiers. He received, he received
• 1:26
  accolades for extremely heroic actions, bravery when he was in
• 1:33
  Afghanistan and you read what he did, the things that he did and
• 1:40
  you know you can't but say that is a brave, brave man that is a
• 1:46
  war hero. But the problem is all these
• 1:51
  accusations have come out and he's been charged with murder
• 1:54
  while he was over in Afghanistan.
• 1:58
  And the things that he's charged with, you think, well, it
• 2:03
  doesn't seem it's, it seems like the government is not telling us
• 2:06
  everything or it seems like they've woven A narrative
• 2:11
  because they want to attack him, but they want to.
• 2:14
  What else are they leaving out? In my opinion, if you're going
• 2:18
  to attack the SAS, if you're going to charge a soldier like
• 2:24
  Ben Robert Smith, OK, maybe. But then shouldn't there be
• 2:30
  other people, not just the one man?
• 2:33
  There's probably some politicians that also need to
• 2:38
  answer some hard questions, possibly face criminal charges
• 2:43
  as well. There's other people, but it all
• 2:46
  seems to be just lumped on this one guy.
• 2:48
  And, and the issue I, I personally feel uncomfortable
• 2:51
  with charging soldiers like this in the manner it's being done
• 2:56
  for for. For starters, putting it all
• 2:59
  through the media feels like he's having, he's having a trial
• 3:03
  by media rather than a proper trial.
• 3:06
  And the AFP and our government have done this on purpose, in my
• 3:12
  opinion, which I don't think is fair at all.

  And but it seems like they're just trying to make a point and
• 3:20
  they're trying to do something and, and having and, and putting
• 3:26
  everything out there in the media.
• 3:27
  And this is the way they want to run it, rather than giving a
• 3:30
  fair and honest trial for someone who they honestly think
• 3:36
  they think is guilty. And this is the issue I have is
• 3:40
  you don't know what the truth is.

  It feels like we're being deceived no matter what the
• 3:46
  story is, whether it's Ben Roberts Smith, whether it's the
• 3:48
  oil crisis that may or may not be happening, whether it's the
• 3:53
  war in Iran, whether it's what happened in Venezuela, whether
• 3:56
  it's is Cuba getting invaded or what's going on, whether it's
• 4:00
  Jeffrey Epstein. There just seems to be constant
• 4:03
  deception in just about everything, whether it's here in
• 4:08
  Australia or other news items over the world.

  Deception. I was, so I was reminded of what
• 4:14
  Jesus said obviously in Matthew 24.
• 4:16
  You know, he, he's sitting there with his disciples, they've come
• 4:21
  to him privately. They say, hey, tell us about
• 4:23
  these things, all these things because he's talked to them
• 4:26
  about future events and Jesus has answered them and said the
• 4:30
  first thing he says is take heed that no one deceives you.
• 4:34
  And so this is what I've been struggling with lately because
• 4:38
  it seems like everything that I've been reading in the news,
• 4:42
  every story, there's deception there.
• 4:47
  And I'm, I'm only saying that, not that because nothing lines
• 4:52
  up. So what I mean by all this is
• 4:55
  like, like for instance, with the oil shortage, the
• 4:58
  possibility of an oil shortage, you know, they're telling us
• 5:01
  though there might be an oil shortage, but then the
• 5:03
  government comes out and says, well, then no, no, it's all
• 5:06
  good. We, we've got everything under
• 5:07
  control and we're making some deals.
• 5:09
  And, and then at the same time, Queensland government's talking
• 5:12
  about how we could possibly start drilling for our own oil,
• 5:16
  you know, because it's always the best thing to do is to, is
• 5:22
  to be reactive and not proactive.
• 5:24
  That's always the smartest thing to do.
• 5:26
  We're in a crisis. So hey, let's start doing things
• 5:29
  now instead of, you know, we could have been doing these
• 5:31
  things 30-40, fifty years ago because we all knew about this,
• 5:34
  but we didn't. So let's do all this at the last
• 5:37
  minute. That always works out really
• 5:38
  well. What I'm saying is you look at
• 5:42
  these stories and you think they're not telling us the
• 5:43
  truth. It feels like we're being
• 5:45
  deceived because this isn't the whole story with the war on Iran
• 5:52
  again and it's a war. You're never going to be told
• 5:57
  the whole truth. But it seems like we're being
• 5:59
  deceived in some of the things when it comes to Ben Robert
• 6:02
  Smith and his court case and being charged with murder.
• 6:06
  I, I don't think if he's guilty, well, then I don't think they're
• 6:11
  going to really get justice for those families and for those
• 6:13
  victims. If he's not guilty, I don't
• 6:16
  think they're going to, he is going to get any justice because
• 6:20
  the government and the AFP have deceived everyone.
• 6:24
  They've got another agenda and that's why they're playing all
• 6:27
  this out in the media. That's why they're doing it.
• 6:30
  So it just feels like everything going on, there's this degree of
• 6:36
  deception and it's hard to decipher truth, fact from
• 6:44
  fiction. But like I said, I was reminded
• 6:48
  about what Jesus says, you know, take heed lest that no one
• 6:53
  deceives you, which to me says, OK, Jesus is talking about
• 6:57
  spiritual things in in biblical prophecy and in the end times,
• 7:02
  you know, don't be deceived, don't be spiritually deceived.

  But as a whole, the world seems to just be one constant motion
• 7:13
  of deception. Everything that comes out in the
• 7:16
  media, social media, it seems like everything has been shaped.
• 7:24
  Everything is being is being used to deceive everyone.

  There is it's, there is virtually no truth.
• 7:35
  You see something and you read it and think there's a modicum
• 7:38
  of truth and a heap of lies in there.
• 7:42
  So much deception. So this is part of the reason
• 7:46
  why I haven't said anything lately because of been trying to
• 7:49
  read things and look at things and decipher what is the actual
• 7:53
  truth about all these things. So that's, that's all I wanted
• 8:01
  to say for tonight. I it's the first episode for a
• 8:04
  couple of weeks that I've done. So all I'm really saying is take
• 8:09
  heed, let no one deceive you. Whether it's a story like Ben
• 8:14
  Roberts Smith, whether it is the war, whether it's Queensland
• 8:18
  possibly drilling for oil and you know they're going to fix
• 8:21
  the whole problem, whether it's Trump having a go at the Pope or
• 8:26
  whatever. Everything, everything seems to
• 8:30
  be designed right now to deceive.
• 8:34
  So please, please don't just believe everything you read,
• 8:40
  everything you see, everything someone tells you.
• 8:43
  Take heed lest anyone deceives you, lest you be deceived.

  There is so much lying going on out there, it's hard to decipher
• 8:54
  truth from fiction, truth from lies.

  Take heed that no one deceives you.

  Words that were very relevant then and extremely relevant in
• 9:12
  this world that we are living in right now.

  Deception is everywhere and I think we all need to take a step
• 9:23
  back and really examine who is telling us these things and what
• 9:27
  their what their motives may be and make sure we make sure we
• 9:35
  really prove or find the facts out and prove.

  Don't just believe the narrative that's being fed to us, whether
• 9:49
  it's through mainstream media or social media or from our
• 9:53
  friends. Find the facts out for ourselves
• 9:57
  and make sure we are not being deceived.

  Anyway, this is all my opinion. This is the first episode I've

  done for a couple of weeks, like I said, but I will get a few
• 10:06
  more things out this week and actually get onto a few topics

  that I've been wanting to talk about.
