Hi, welcome to Soul Elevation: Guiding Your Ascension to New Heights. I'm your host Kara Goodwin. I'm so happy to join you here on Friday, June 12th, 2026. And today I'm gonna be talking about your solar plexus, and your personal power, and what this has to do with your soul purpose and the ego. So The solar plexus, first of all, is an energy center that is in your solar plexus, which is at the top of the abdomen. And this chakra center is where your personal power is. It's the will

center. And so we have two different ways that our power can show up in our lives. We can have the egoic power, which is what the little self wants. There are a lot of ways to think about that, but the ways that our human constricted self that is kind of worried about taking care of itself and doesn't really see the big picture, doesn't take others into consideration, but it's really like a me first, um, that's the egoic side, and it lives in a state of, uh, what's the word I'm looking for? Lack and constriction. Then we have our pe- our personal power or our spiritual power, and that is what is the bigger... That's the bigger picture. It's what our soul is here for. It's when we're living soul first,

and it is when the higher self, the will of the higher self, is really what's guiding our lives. And these two pieces of power, they both come through the solar plexus. And the reason that I wanna make sure you're aware of the solar plexus is because it is a part of your physical and spiritual anatomy that is driving that. And so, of course, we have sever- sever- sorry, seven major chakra centers that run through the body, and we have a lot of minor ones as well. You've got a lot of chakras in the hands, for example. You have chakras beyond the body. You have, like, your soul star above your crown. But in the body, we have seven major ones, and that... And they all have different functions. They all govern different parts of the body. They govern different, um, emotional states, and they are associated with different elements and crystals and
• 3:00
colors, and they're, they're complex and dynamic, and they can easily get out of balance. They can get out of balance within themselves so that each particular chakra, it may be underutilized or it may be contracted. It may have some gaps. It may not be rotating, um, in a v- vital way. It may be kind of stagnant, in other words. And also our chakras can become imbalanced in the relationship to each other. So you might have certain chakras that are overactive- Certain chakras that are underactive, and they may not be, like, properly connected to each other. The chakra system is an energy system, and so it is dynamic. It's, it's constantly changing. And so it is definitely possible that things can become out of balance, but they also can be
• 4:00
put back into balance, and you can work with an energy healer to help you get your chakras back into balance. Or you can work on that yourself if you know how to work with your energy system. But when the solar plexus is out of balance, there... Well, when any chakra is out of balance, there will be different things that show up in your life that are a manifestation of that, meaning there are different ways that your life can go that can point to an imbalance in that specific chakra. So once you know what each chakra governs and what each chakra, um, represents in your life, then when things start happening within your life that have a theme, then you can know what chakra that relates to and get an idea of where some attention might be needed within your chakra system. And so if we come
• 5:00
back to the solar plexus in particular, that is the power piece. And so if that chakra is weak or it is, um, under... Like, it's not receiving enough energy or it's blocked, and it's out of balance in a way that it i- doesn't have enough life force in it, then you can be very meek. You can be very, like, wanting to fade into the background. You're not owning your power. You're not stepping into the powerful being that you are. You're just following the others, looking for somebody outside of yourself to tell you the, the right step forward, the next thing to do, and you're kind of opting out of life. And so when we are really in
• 6:00
balance with the solar plexus, we know who we are. We allow ourselves to take up space. We know that we are here for purpose, and we probably know s- have some idea of what that purpose is, and we are not afraid to step into it. It doesn't mean that's always easy, but we know that we have a duty, and we know that we have a responsibility, and we know we have a right to do what we're here to do. Now, the... That we... Our chakra system can also, or every chakra can also become, uh, have excess energy in it, which also is out of balance. So I've already talked about, like, the meekness and how we may be, like, underutilizing or blocking, having blockages within the chakra. We can also have too much energy or, um, an excessive amount of
• 7:00
energy that is too much on the other side that also needs to come into balance. And the way that that can show up is when we're really in our ego, and we are steamrolling or ra- what is that word, railroading people, and we are, um, not really looking at the big picture, and that's when we might have the ego that is coming in and trying to run the show and taking over, taking us out of our, um, balance with the spirit. Because to be in balance in the solar plexus, we want to have our human will be combined with our spiritual will, with our spirit power, our, our egoic power to be married and working in conjunction with our spirit power. So I, I'm reading a

book for, as part of my book club right now, um, for my Healing Hearth community, and it's called Trust Your Vibes, and I wanna say the author is Sonia Croquette. It's something like that. Um, she's a... I think she's a really popular spiritual teacher. I just hadn't come across her before, but I really like this book. And I just came across where she was talking about, uh, giving examples of this, which I thought they were brilliant. And one of them that I wanna share is a client of hers whose therapist had been encouraging her to step into her power, basically. Had been encouraging her to speak up and stand up for herself, and I guess she'd been working on this for a couple of years, and her therapist had really been working with her on this. And the woman kind of, like, just started barreling ahead with what she was considering owning her power and
• 9:00
speaking up, speaking her voice, finding her voice, and telling it like it is But she started, she was coming, going about it in a very egoic way. So for example, she was, you know, telling her husband, I don't remember the specifics, but you know, that he sh- the things she didn't like about him. Maybe he snored or he, you know, she didn't like how he smelled or, you know, and, and talking to her kids like that and her colleagues and telling her boss, you know, like just things that were, um... She just really went from one extreme to the other and in her attempt to speak her truth she was actually just criticizing everybody and cutting everybody off at the knees. And the result of that was that people were leaving her. She lost her job. She, her marriage fell apart. I think like if I remember correctly, I think
• 10:00
when like her children even didn't want to stay with her and she didn't understand because she'd been encouraged for a long time to find her voice. But when the way that she was expressing herself was from a very egoic way. She was confusing the higher purpose of really being who you are and being in your truth with venting about annoyances that really were based in her opinion rather than being like facts or needing to stand up for herself. And so there is a balance here that we wanna be aware of because a lot of people do confuse speaking their truth with being unkind or just complaining about things And there is a maturity factor there. There's a spiritual maturity of understanding, you know, h- what the role
• 11:00
that we are here for. You know, we, we, we need to have some compassion. We need to express ourselves with compassion. So we do need to stand up for ourselves. We do need to speak our truth. But we need to be mindful about when we're doing that from an egoic standpoint and we're just wanting to tell somebody off, or we're wanting to express our frustrations, or we wanna put somebody down for s- whatever reason. We're coming from a wounded place within us, and we feel badly about ourselves, so we're cutting somebody else down so they get down to our level. You know, that's not coming from the highest spiritual truth. That's not expressing yourself as a, a source being, as a divine being. That's really being caught up in the ego, in the human expression. And that's not to say that there's no place for the ego. So again, you know, when we come into the solar plexus, we've got the ego will and we have the spiritual will. And that ego will is
• 12:00
also important because if we are here only connected to ourselves as spirit We lose that drive. The ego is the engine. The ego, the personality, is a big part of what helps us get out of bed. It gives us motivation. It is part of what helps us to accomplish our mission, because we are here as spirit in human form, but we are here in a physical world. We've been given by the divine, by pure source, we've been given this body. We've been given spirit in a body, but we've given this body as a tool to help us to be able to fulfill our purpose here in the earth plane and in this physical reality. And the ego is a, an integral part of that. If we completely deny the ego and we say, you know,
• 13:00
"No, I, I have no connection to this human personality part of us," then we can lose that connection that we have to this realm, and then miss our purpose as well, because we didn't necessarily... I think, I mean, maybe some people did come here to have a, a really spiritual experience where they're just connected to the higher realms all the time and they're, like, doing very, very little in this physical plane. But most people, by virtue of having a human body, they came here to express themselves through that body, through the personality, and fulfill their purpose in that way. And so I want you to be mindful of any temptation when you are on your spiritual path, any temptation that you have to denounce the ego. You know, the, the ego can be... You can have a really healthy relationship with
• 14:00
your ego and love yourself and appreciate yourself and give yourself grace for the mistakes that you make- But not being so tied to the ego that you're blind to the spiritual aspect of life. And, you know, honestly, we all realize that where we are here in 2026 with where human, where humanity is, where the collective is, the vast majority of the collective are only aware of themselves as an ego. And, um, people express that in different spectrums. You know, it's, it really is a small percentage of the population who is even engaging with themselves a- at, at all as a spiritual being. Now, if you're watching this content, you would not fall into that. You know, you're, you're clearly already aware that you have a spiritual aspect to yourself and you're already attracted to content like that. But really, that does make you a,
• 15:00
kind of a unicorn right now, and I don't think that that's gonna always be that way. I think that humanity will turn a corner and consciousness will raise, and I think it'll happen fast, pretty fast, where a lot of people will start to see the world in this way. But for now, you know, it's, it's not the common way to see things. But we also don't wanna be having so, so tied into the spiritual that we're denying the physical because again, you came here for a really unique opportunity from a soul perspective, and the ego can be a very healthy and balanced part of your expression and help you to be able to put one foot in front of the other, and to be able to organize yourself and motivate yourself, and have ideas and inspiration, and the impetus to be able to express yourself in, in,
• 16:00
um, accordance with your soul purpose. So if we are so, so consumed with the concept of ourselves as spirit that we then are denouncing the ego, then if you're here to create something beautiful that's an expression of your soul but you have no will, your solar plexus is so out of balance that you're, you're, you don't have that nice healthy link-up between the soul and the ego, the spirit and the ego, to be able to get your will, the power of the will, to get that expression out, then you're not gonna be able to fully express yourself, um, from your, for your spiritual purpose. So- Be mindful about your solar plexus. There are, um... And feel into it.
• 17:00
Feel into, as you move through your day, if you notice any sensations there, sometimes that's... Like, if I feel, um, nervous about something, you know, that I'll feel it in my solar plexus. But there are times, I think there was a recent one, aps- actually a recent episode that I had maybe with Dr. Dory, um, and I think I mention in there that I felt a kick in my solar plexus as she was talking. Like, I felt a big activation at some point, where I physically felt like, like something kicked me in my solar plexus at, during something that she said. So your solar plexus can be giving you communication through sensation and, um, it might do that and you might wanna bring some more attention to it and intend that you have some balance there in the solar plexus, and, um, make sure that your will is aligned with the soul. So that's it for today. Thank you so much for being
