Fota Wildlife Park just welcomed a miracle: a critically endangered Nubian giraffe calf born on June 15th, standing six feet tall in just minutes. This is the second calf for mom Aoife, born at the park in 2010, and dad Ferdie came from the Netherlands as part of a vital breeding effort. After a tense 15-month wait, the team celebrated as the calf stood up within 30 minutes and joined a growing herd of nine.
