- 1:38Especially when you hear about their funding ties to Pepsi and

- 1:46look closer at, you know, what's actually in our modern diet.
- 1:49Exactly. And a perfect example is the
- 1:51whole seed oil discussion, that story about finding oils
- 1:54plastered with heart healthy labels even in a Wellness
- 1:57Airbnb. It just highlights that gap
- 2:00right between the marketing and maybe the reality.
- 2:02Yeah, and to really get it, you kind of need to understand how a
- 2:05lot of these common seed oils are actually made.
- 2:07Take canola oil, OK, Commercially, they press
- 2:10rapeseed. Get this gummy stuff.
- 2:12Then they use hexane, which yeah, the NIH and NLM classify
- 2:17as a neurotoxin. Same category as fluoride
- 2:19actually, for degumming. Wow.
- 2:21Hexane. Yeah, then it's heated, which
- 2:23can denature it, make it rancid. Then sodium hydroxide and known
- 2:27carcinogen is used to deodorize it, and sometimes it's even
- 2:30bleached. So it's a heavy industrial
- 2:32process, very different from like just pressing olives.
- 2:36Totally different. Think about the color variation
- 2:39in fresh juice versus the uniform color of these processed
- 2:42oils, it tells. It really does, and the point
- 2:44made was that the issue isn't just, say, polyunsaturated fats
- 2:48themselves, but maybe this whole intense processing triggers a
- 2:51pro inflammatory response in the body.
- 2:53Leading potentially to things like foam cells, inflammation in
- 2:56the artery walls. Which then ties into that re
- 2:59evaluation of cholesterol. The analogy used was pretty
- 3:01striking the. Fireman analogy.

- 3:48So the argument is maybe it's not always the food itself in
- 3:51its whole form. But the processing, yeah, the
- 3:53distance from the food to the table as it was put, that seems
- 3:57to be a major factor. Which links to that GRES concept
- 4:00generally regarded as safe and the idea of well micro
- 4:03poisoning, right? The cumulative effect exposure
- 4:06over time to pesticides, herbicides, insecticides,
- 4:09preservatives, all allowed within certain limits in our
- 4:12food. It's the build.
- 4:13Up exactly the cumulative dose toxicity idea, like the tuna
- 4:17example with lead and mercury, or the analogy of tiny doses of
- 4:21arsenic. Over time, each dose might seem
- 4:24safe, but the accumulation, That's where the potential

- 4:34What can we learn from these places where people live

- 6:16own production of important antioxidants, catalase,
- 6:19superoxide, dysmutase, glutathione.
- 6:22So it helps the body help itself rather than just directly

- 6:32that's seen as a particularly nasty free radical, one that
- 6:35doesn't seem to have any useful function in the body.

- 6:42older adults 70 plus during COVID lockdowns.
- 6:46The group drinking hydrogen water showed improvements in
- 6:49telomere length. Those protective caps on our
- 6:51chromosomes, right, Linked to aging.
- 6:52Exactly, they also saw a better cognitive function.
- 6:55Sleep scores improved, circulation got better compared
- 6:58to the control group which is pretty interesting, especially
- 7:00considering how restricted movement was for many during
- 7:03lockdowns. And it wasn't just drinking it
- 7:04right, They talked about using it through the skin.
- 7:07Yeah, transdermal hydrogen using bath bombs, also from drink H2
- 7:11tab.com apparently, or specialized machines.
- 7:14Anecdotally, people reported relief from things like
- 7:17arthritis and feeling a shift towards that calmer
- 7:20parasympathetic state. And maybe even adding it to cold
- 7:25plunges because colder water holds more gas.
- 7:29That potential synergy was discussed, Yeah, and there were
- 7:32personal stories shared to this speaker's wife getting back pain
- 7:35relief athletes like John Jones using it for pain and training.
- 7:39Interesting. And the idea that maybe the
- 7:41benefits people get from alkaline water are actually from
- 7:44the hydrogen gas in it. That was brought up, yeah,
